Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm Steve de Seger.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Let's go, stinking genius, go big boy, let's go, let's go.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
I Why why do you not wait until something happens
in the sports world before you send me a rundown
at six thirty in the morning for a show that
starts at ten pm at night? What is your deal?

Speaker 4 (00:24):
I was up early, that's all I had to get
things ready.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
What do you leave me alone in the mornings on
Sunday only day? Our show isn't until ten o'clock at night.
I'm asleep. It's stormed in Oklahoma. I was up all night.
I'm so excited to go to bed six thirty am.
It's like my alarms to be hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
What are you doing? Man? And your whole number one
Roman numeral? Is you complaining about fans for some reason?

Speaker 5 (00:49):
But I was gonna I was gonna go off on
the fans. I'm gonna go through a rant on that day. Yeah,
this whole week, I've been aggravated by them.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
But what time do you get up in the morning.
I thought you do like a morning.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Show, Arnie. Sunday mornings is my day off. I do
a Monday through Friday show. Sunday mornings. I sleep a
little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Chris to be explained to do.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Not on your calendar, not on your menu.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Hell no, you do sports radio. You're never have a
day off. Okay, you never have a day off.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I disagree, because tomorrow should be everybody's day off. Or
let's see what we're inching towards to to be able
to call today in about an hour to No, how
was your week? Man? How was your week when you
told us Team USA was gonna win the World Cup? Wow?
So I'm blaming you for all of this.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
I'm a true red blooded American wants you to know
that my week is good. I was up in Vermont,
so we had the family up there, got to do
some things, you know. I go up to my place
up there, the houses and shambles, the ditches are piled
up into the sink from my son.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
My wife had to go to Costco. Do you know
how much you spent on groceries?

Speaker 5 (01:56):
Six hundred dollars at Costco alone on just one trip.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
I what did you buy him? A supermarket?

Speaker 5 (02:02):
I mean, it's amazing how much you could spend on
there on groceries and stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Wait wait, wait, wait, no, impossible, Yes, there is hours.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
The only person that lives in that house is Shay.
Yeah right, okay, there is no way you can spend
six hundred dollars on groceries for one person.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
She did it somehow a week.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
What's she doing it for? Are you buying can goods
or something? I mean, what are we doing here?

Speaker 4 (02:28):
She's buying everything out there?

Speaker 5 (02:30):
So you know, he he gat The guy can't cook
for himself. He's too busy, he's got work.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
So we got him.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
So the dog is finally a potty train, so I
don't have to worry about that. Wilson has finally turned
out to be a good dog.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
So it's all worked out. It's been a good week.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
But you know, you mentioned I wanted to to rip
on the fans. I wanted to say something because after
the United States sauce and you.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Had told us they were going to win the World
Cup but go ahead.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
I was so disgusted.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
At the first of all the people that are actually
rooting against the United States, and then all the backlash
against polisic and and I mean, the guy had a
fractured leg, but that's that's beside the point. Even if
he didn't have one, it just had me thinking the
pose I was listening to all the fans call him
and or text in tweeting, however they get in. Nowadays,

(03:26):
we have some of the worst fans on the planet.
And I just don't mean like soccer fans or football pays.
I'm talking like a whole new generation of fans, mostly
in like the I don't know, eighteen to fifteen to
thirty thirty five aged category. There's I mean, there's no

(03:48):
more loyalty. It's always about winning. We have to win
it all costs. We got to win every year. You know,
I just went fifty three years Chris Right of not
winning with the New York Knicks. Fifty three years right.
I don't think kids are younger generation knows it's not

(04:11):
always It's not about the way he It's never really
been about winning. It's never been about the end. It's
always been about the journey. It's never been about the.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Players or the GM or the owners.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
It's always been about the city and you bonding with
your family or your parents, or your siblings, or your
friends or your cousins or whoever, or even just a guy,
you met it at the local bar. It was never
the ends to the thing. It was always about the journey. Now, kids, nowadays,

(04:48):
there's never any loyalty. You know, I disagree when Colin
because Colin always talks about why would you have loyalty
if a team isn't doing well? You know, it's it's
like a marriage for better or for worse. And nowadays
it's just disgusting. It's it's just crazy. How you know
you'll see, like a twenty three year old, kids, twenty more,

(05:11):
this sucks, you suck. I'm changing deem that the day
I can't take it anymore, You can't take it anymore.
Try fifty three years, you know, try the journey. And
the bitching and complaining that happened after the United States lost,
I mean it was.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
It was shameful.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Chris.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
What were we before the tournament? We were what sixties
sixty to one or was it like sixty three to one?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Well, whatever it was, you told us to take it
because they were gonna win.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
But go on, but did you if we're gonna put
that in comparison to the end, like coming into the
NFL this year, the Colts and commanders are sixty five
to one. The Giants are seventy seventy to one. So
they were a long shot, a long shot to begin with.
And all I hear was, we're never going to catch up.

(06:04):
How do we catch up? Paid to play? Came up?
And you know, if we only had one sport, we'd
have more athletes. We'll catch up, We'll get there.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
You know, I wish.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Why why are you so sure?

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Look at you know why? I know we'll catch up, Chris?
Why because look at look at all the countries that
have caught up to us in basketball, Look at the
times we've dominated.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Look at that.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
I could have been on team US, say in basketball,
and we would have won every game by fifty back
thirty years ago. Nowadays, who the hell knows if we
said college kids, there's no guarantee of anything. To be
honest with you, Chris, they they caught up to us.
We'll catch up to soccer.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I got it. Yeah, I don't mean to interrupt your yes,
go ahead, yes, yes, Do you see any country catching
up to us in real football? In the football, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Not right now, But that doesn't mean in thirty forty
years down the line, it already happened.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yes, do you see any country ever catching up to
the United States in tackle football?

Speaker 5 (07:13):
No, But if you would have asked me that about
about basketball forty years ago, I would have said oway.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
But they were still playing basketball overseas and technically you've
had a couple of runs, we've become a much more
global sport. The NBA embraced that. The NBA helped feed
into that. The NBA wants to put it, wanted to
in one time put a team overseas. So to me,
that's a lot of what the NBA has done. You're

(07:38):
just like guaranteeing something that ain't gonna happen and no offense.
But in like forty years, man, there's a pretty good
chance neither you nor I are going to be here
to pay off that bet.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
So I was, I was still be the show, we'd
still be doing the show together and four.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Yeah, no, I will not be doing this with you
in forty years.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
I just I just don't think younger fans have the
patience the law. Can you see a twenty year old
right now going fifty three years of his team not
winning and he's gonna be loyal to that team. You know?

(08:14):
That's why it was so emotional look at those you know,
we laugh at those actors, Ben Stiller and all those guys.
They've been Nick fans for their whole lives.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
I mean they you know, the.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
Spike Lee's he's paying big money just to sit court
side because he was a Diehart Knicks fan. You just
won't get that.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Now.

Speaker 5 (08:34):
It's just a whole new upbringing of sports fans. You know,
it could hurt, It could really hurt sports in the
future without the fans that we used to be. Chris,
you know, I know your Oklahoma team could lose one
hundred games in a row. You would never be an
Oklahoma State fan, would you. Would you ever say well,

(08:56):
I'll just switch over to Oklahoma State. That's that's never
gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Been matter. How can I just ask just yeah, a
general thought, what triggered this? I don't see anyone saying, well,
I there's Argentinian fans, because there's a a large group
of you know, Argentinian people, the Argentinans that live here
in the States. So you got that and Messy very popular,

(09:23):
so you got a big draw for that. Like, who's
who triggered this for you?

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Because I think what triggered it was after the United
States lows right, and just the whole negativity, the whole
will never catch them there.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
I'm supposed to be happy when you lose, Dude.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
No, I understand that, just a little bit more accepting
because of what happened in the situation and our best
player has a broken foot for the most part, and
the ripping of him.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Was just unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
I mean, absolutely unbelievable. Chris, I just feel like we've
closed the gap. I mean, we we did close. We
did win the group.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
You know.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
I did hear Colin say, look how many people watched
the World Cup and then I sold it all and
I believe I'm like, wow, we had what thirty forty
million people watching it? And then when Brandy Chastain scored
her winning goal, I think there was about thirty also
thirty million people and said we're watching that. So I'm like, well,
word's word's the growth. I think we'll eventually get there.

(10:28):
I mean, it seems like the talent's better, but just
in the fans wise, it just was sickening to get
on Twitter and just see and it was mostly you
could see it was from younger people, you know, I
kind of wish after seeing this, that the World Cup
was once every two years, even if we can't get
the big stars to play every two years, and the

(10:50):
United States should host it every year. I think that'd
be fantastic. Of course, that that would never happen. I
would like that, and I would like to expand it.
I see that they're going to try or they're going
to expand them. So I mean, hopefully this becomes a
lot more than what we saw this year.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
But I just felt that.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
The fans disgusted the crap out of me, and it
was mostly the younger ones.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
I'm sorry to say that.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
It's just that, you know, it's just one rotten comment
after another on Twitter, and I'm just like, gosh, what
happened to the loyalty? What happened to the journey? What
happened to the you know, the memories you were trying
to make with your family or friends or relatives or
anything like that. Those days are long gone. I promise

(11:34):
you that they don't happen anymore.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Christ go ahead, Mary mack Well.

Speaker 6 (11:39):
What I was gonna say was, aren't he The problem
is is not that there's no loyalty or joining the
problem is that the real problem is that sports American
sports fans and sports media did with what we did
too the Spurs during like the NBA playoffs and stuff,
was like we prematurely hype up team that like two

(12:01):
hour standards, we think we're good. You have to remember
they just got a new coach, like what two years ago.
So in order of that, you have four years to
train and so you out of those four years, two
of those to kind of get better. These teams, all
these other teams, yeah, they've had previous four maybe eight
years to train together. Also some of them play together

(12:23):
in their prime club teams and stuff like that, so
they are a little bit more familiar. Whereas again our
team we're still learning. They're still kind of learning now.
The Premier League they're coach coached PSG and if you
if you know PSG, they're in the Premier League.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
They just won Champions League. No, I don't know PSG,
but you know what I'm saying, And I understand I
wanted us to win, and I think, you know, I think.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
It was part of the problem.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
But Chris I did.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
I was cognizant that we were sixty to one, and
like I said, if you're going to compare that to
the NFL. That's like saying you're picking the Cold, the
Commanders or the Giants to win the Super Bowl this year.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
We all know that's not going to happen.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
I mean, yes, but Arnie, again, you're talking from an
American point of view, because if you ask, if you
ask any other person who again actually watches like all
of soccer, of all the clubs, you can you can
really make the difference and be like, okay, yeah, like
America is good, but they're not good to the level
of again of France or a Spain team, or even
an England team even let alone like some of the

(13:26):
African teams.

Speaker 7 (13:27):
They were not really on that level.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
But they're still finding out, they're still finding their sense
of style and sense of play.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
Just because you're not on the same level now one
doesn't mean that the game couldn't have been closer to
That doesn't mean we couldn't have won.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
I mean, look at what goes out in the NCB.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
You're doing it already.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
You're doing it. You're doing it already, prettymature. Be it
too positive? You know what?

Speaker 2 (13:47):
You're not being too positive? Like you're getting mad at me.
They're getting mad at people that are mad we didn't win,
and then you're sitting here saying, easily won this thingout.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
I'm not mad. It's okay to be disappointed, and it's
okay to want to win. I want to win more
than anybody out there. I always say to you, Chris,
I'm a bigger fan.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Than you are.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
But you know, it just seems the negativity, the lack
of Really it's the lack of loyalty because you know,
you know, what would you say there's no loyalty, There's no.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Loyalty at all.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
But the thing is everyone bandwagon on America, playing like
everyone just loved America because it was America, not because
of the actual team and the story and all that.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, what's your what's your band like? What are you
saying that loyalty is? What's your like? Where is the
lack of loyalty just because people are happy that we lost?

Speaker 5 (14:43):
No, well, people are happy that we lost and people
were rooting against the United States and also I'm even
talking about our professional teams. You know, like you're a
Raider fan, you know how many people have jumped off
that Raider bandwagon in the last what ten or twenty years?

Speaker 4 (15:00):
What half of them?

Speaker 2 (15:00):
But I meant, are you are you listening to yourself?

Speaker 5 (15:03):
What? What?

Speaker 2 (15:04):
What?

Speaker 5 (15:04):
What?

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Why do you say that?

Speaker 2 (15:05):
What do you do you remember? Do you remember there
was now this might be too old for for uh
Rgie Robert Garriz in tonight, uh rob tonight? Yeah, exactly right,
Like you don't know who the star of a couple is,
Mary Mack running the show. Steve the Seger might be
in the age group.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
But the going to agree with me tonight, I promise that.
Look at Twitter buzz agreeing with me.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I don't think anybody agrees.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Actually one person though.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Do you remember the commercial? It was a commercial about
drugs and the dad walks into the room and he's
got that cigar box and he opens it up and
he's yelling at his kid and he goes, who taught
you this? Who you? Who'd you learn this from? And
the kid said, I learned it from watching you, dad, Martie.
What you're complaining about is how you treat sports.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
No, Chris, Chris.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
Anything about me? Dude, I'm I'm one hundred.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Have I ever been anything but New York Knicks man?

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Yeah, but you've been up them at the first sign
of adversity and you go watch order something.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Fifty three year, if they would.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Have won the title, if they wouldn't have won the
title this year, you would be sitting here destroying No. No,
you wouldn't be like all the joys in the journey,
just another run of the fine.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Of course I'd be disappointed. Why are you telling me?

Speaker 5 (16:21):
You're like, this is the last year you're gonna be
a raider fit if they don't win the Super Bowls out? Yeah,
you're talking about it.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
You know, you've twisted yourself in on this because for
some reason you allowed yourself to be this bastion of
we're gonna win the World Cup? Did you see us
were different? And then when we don't, and you're you're
shocked that people are mad about this.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
It's not even so much about being mad at was.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
There's so much the negativity the I I didn't want
them to win anyway. Uh you know the president got involved.
I wanted them to lose. Ever since the President got involved.
I mean it was there was like one excuse after another,
and I'm like, how this is crazy?

Speaker 4 (17:00):
This is you know the sports fans, I don't know
if you know this.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
Sports fans are completely different nowadays than they were when
we were growing up. Chris, it's a big difference back
in the type of sports fans we have now.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Well, I mean, there's a lot of things that they
have today that we didn't. You can watch basically every
single big play from a baseball game, yes, in three
minutes or two and a half. We would have to
listen to the radio, or we watch the whole game,
or watch the whole game, right, so it's.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
Read the box stores, learn about the players, you know,
so we know what we're reading about. I guess we
were more involved than we were more se We were
more tied into our.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Team, were more we didn't see him more.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
We didn't see him there, but we we you know.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
I don't think you're right. I think are more tied
in because they get to see him at any chance.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
They how many people listening right now would wait so
they can get the sports page from their dad so
they can look at the box or and then they
would talk over breakfast about what happened in the game
just by looking at the box score because they didn't
watch it, but they listened to it on the radio.
I mean, Or is that too old or might being
too old right now.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
You're going back aways. But I mean, what does that
mean you were more loyal than than maybe somebody there?

Speaker 4 (18:17):
No, but like I said, it was more about the journey.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
It's more about that than it was always about I gotta.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Win the super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
Now I get you know, it's like Chief fans are
Patriot fans.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Patriotans.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
I've only won six of them in ten years or
twelve years or whatever it is. I can't take it.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
You suck.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
I can't take a bad year. Shut the hell up.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
You make me sick.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Well, I don't disagree with you on that at all. Listen, man,
you're setting up and I know you forget half your
takes two weeks later.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
Why do you say that?

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Because how are you gonna be in week thirteen with
the Miami Dolphins are like two and eleven. Are you
gonna be like? Oh yeah, dude, this is the joys
in the journey? Man? Who cares about it?

Speaker 5 (19:01):
Hopefully you won't remember this show what I'm just doing
when we're talking about that thirteen weeks thirteen weeks for.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
When you're like six and eleven, when the season's over.
I'm gonna play this opening segment for you and be like, hey,
Arnie the joy I'm a big Joys in the journey guy.
But yeah, I mean.

Speaker 5 (19:19):
Listen, hopefully you won't remember that far.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
We we have. We gassed up the casuals. We gassed
up the casuals, and they won their first couple of games,
and it's like they're gonna win, They're gonna win, and
people like Arnie span You're like, they're gonna win. And
then when they don't win, everyone's like they Mary Mack
get it on. That would have preferred.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
I would have said, no, we're still going to lose.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Is that that preferred? You? To be logical? Man?

Speaker 5 (19:44):
But they looked real good in their games, even against
Turkey A.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
They didn't play all their starters.

Speaker 5 (19:50):
Obviously we risted a lot of people, and then we
went ahead, won our first game. They lost, then they
lost the Turky and look at the on Twitter says
rights already makes sense.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
For the first five minutes, I was in shock.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
Then he went with us will catch up in soccer?

Speaker 5 (20:09):
Ha ha. I didn't read that day.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Yeah, yeah, you saw that happening. I'm sorry, man, Matt,
go ahead, No, I'm.

Speaker 6 (20:15):
Saying America will I've literally been saying this for for
the last couple of weeks. So give it, not not
this upcoming world cume, no, the twenty thirty, but the
twenty thirty four.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Then then then we.

Speaker 6 (20:25):
Can have this conversation again. And that's the real that
will separate you from a loyal fan and a casual fan,
because they're probably gonna be at least up to the
standard that they should be playing into, Like you know,
in the World Cup, they'll be fine, They're there, they're no.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
No, But people like Chris Planks say no, no, no,
not gonna happen, will never catch up.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Well, we'll never win a World Cup, No to the.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
United States of America, Right, so we'll be close. Cape
Verdy is gonna win a World Cup before us, is
what you're telling me.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Right, Well, we went just as far as Cape. But
I would also add, you know, you want to say, oh,
look how everyone caught up to us in basketball? Where?
I think that's where do the greatest basketball players go
to train once they reach a certain age when they
can make more money?

Speaker 5 (21:14):
The United States?

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Of course, I mean, there's just there's still levels to it.
I listen, I appreciate your sudden passion for soccer. I
don't disagree with how fans act about it, but in
that same vein Arnie, I mean, you're the same way
with their teams when they don't do well, you're mad
at him and you want to kick him to the curve.
You want everyone fired. I mean, here's here's the off

(21:36):
side of you. He spent too much time around family
this week. Man.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
Here's here's the here's the difference between me and the
younger fans. Yes, I get mad at my wife. They
divorce their wife, all right, my wife. We just don't
go ahead and speak for a couple of days that
we're fine, you know. That's that's really what it comes
down boils down to, is that if you don't win,
you're going to lose part of your fan base because

(22:00):
they're not going to sit.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Around and wait for you to win. They can't take losing.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
I don't know what that number is, three years, five years,
ten years.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
But soon it does. It hurns on them.

Speaker 5 (22:10):
And these these young crowds now, they don't give a
damn if you're not winning. It's more about the players
with young sports fans. I'm a Mahomes fan, you know,
I'm this fan you're you know, they're not Kansas City
chief fans. If Mahomes left Kansas City, they wouldn't be
a Chiefs fan. Of their life depended on it.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
It's re numeral run re numeral one. Excuse me, am
twenty three minutes. So we got to take a break.
When we come back on this pace tonight. Let's see,
there's what seventeen rom numerals today.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
Yeah, this new hotshot producer sent me an email today
say hey, you gotta talk soccer in like the first
two hours. So I'm gonna purposely not talk soccer in
the first.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Just spent the whole first twenty three minutes of the
show talking soccer.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
Yeah, but you know what he was made me sick.
This new hotshot Bruce to coming and tell us what
to talk about.

Speaker 2 (23:04):

with Team USA frustration over the Stanley Cup. Arnie didn't
even have Lebron on the rundown, and we're gonna learn tonight.

Speaker 5 (23:31):
I added him in wait and put him in at
number sixteen.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
No, just just barely made the cut and a failed
trade that nearly changed the NBA. It's all coming up
on Fox Sports Radio.

of the US falling on its face this week?

Speaker 5 (24:21):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (24:21):
No, no, I'm sorry. You're not upset at all. You're
just happy that they that they made it to the
World Cup and won a few games.

Speaker 5 (24:27):
Go ahead, No disappointed, I'm not going to rip our
biggest star.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Because my journey baby, because you had.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
A microfracture leg. And then say, how.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Coever you didn't play better?

Speaker 4 (24:37):
All right, why would you take yourself out?

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Who was it?

Speaker 5 (24:40):
Landon Donovan said, you would add to drag me off
the field?

Speaker 4 (24:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (24:44):
Right, because we're all going to play with a microfracture
in our leg.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
That's what's best for the team.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
You playing it thirty percent, then having your backup who's
at one hundred percent. I mean, some of the things
that are being said, I mean you agree with that, Chris,
okay with that. They would have had to drag you
off the field after they amputated both of their legs
and you still would have hobbled out there, right, I mean,
it's just ridiculous. The guy was obviously heard. You think

(25:11):
he wanted to come out of the game. Sure, I
was disappointed. I mean I didn't expect us to lose
four to one. All the games have been closed. I
expected a much closer game. We had two major gafs.
We knew that the gold heading was a question mark
coming on in and eventually caught up to us all
in the last game. I don't think we're as bad
as a four to one loss. I wish we could

(25:34):
play that game all over again, and I wish we
could out of a shot at one of the big boys.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
Unfortunately it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Why why did you see what happened when we played Belgium?
Did you watch that game? Yes? I did, and you
want a shot at the big boys.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
I just felt we had a bad game. You know,
it's no different, Chris.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
You're you know what happened when we played Belgium and
a friendly?

Speaker 4 (25:58):
Yeah, we lost five to two.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Right, come on, dude, I mean there's this point where
it's like, hey, I understand your arrogance as where there, Chris,
But you're there's a point where you're like, we're just
gonna get beat and you beat.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
At the beginning of this year, your Oklahoma softball team
was to my Arizona team and we weren't even very good.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
So by your means, just get a look at that.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Comparing a sport that's based in three game series to
a sport that's based in one match.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
It was, but what about the four games leading up
to that one match? You seem to discredit that matter
of fact, Last time we do I think we made
up tremendous strides since the Last Cup, last World Cup
we were in.

Speaker 7 (26:40):
But you're losing the last World Cup as your blank standard.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Of my barometer.

Speaker 6 (26:45):
Well, yeah, and again you have to understand, Like, dude, then,
even if we played Brazil with Neymar who literally had
no feat, we still would have lost to Brazil like
USA is. Again, we're good to American standards, but not
to the standard of the world Belgium. Belgium was probably

(27:07):
the most quote unquote easiest of the big game. We
would have gotten destroy freyd let it be even Brazil,
Let it be even.

Speaker 5 (27:16):
We would still be playing if we had Argentina's path
to get into the semi finals. They're the first time
any team has made it this far without playing like
a top ten team.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Yeah, but we're not playing that path.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
No, I well, I'm just I'm just kidding. I'm giving
you the answers here. I'm just letting you know, I
wish we had an easier path. And yeah, sure, I
you know, I don't know if you guys understand this,
So maybe this is a secret to you. We have
other sports besides soccer, So our best athletes are not
playing soccer. They're playing other sports.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
If we just had.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
Soccer as our main sport, it maybe be a whole
different story.

Speaker 7 (27:52):
What was that, Mary, I said, that's kind of disingenuous.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Though, No, no, it's not disingenuous. It's the truth.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
It's what other If we didn't have football enough, basketball, baseball,
hockey or whatever, we would be much better at soccer,
no doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Of course, dude, do you want to wipe those sports
out so we can be good? Okay? Then shut up?
What are you doing? Steve Isaker comes rolling in with
everything that's trending in the world of sports. Steve saved
this show.

A couple of NASCAR notes here because you know, I
live this life. They will restart in three minutes. The
radar is clear. Nascar reiterated to the fans and the
media this race will go the full distance. So there
is a very good chance that this race will be
on for the entirety of our show and into the

(28:52):
Ben Mallor Show.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
A get well, how a much longer with an hour,
hour and a half two hours.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Yeah, I mean there, they only got basically through the
first hour of racing. So Echo Park, Atlanta, Eastern time zone.
Let's go, baby, We're gonna be racing until two in
the morning to get this thing done because they're heading
to Indy next week. The amount of time for the
red flag three hours, nine minutes and seventeen seconds. They'll

(29:17):
go back to green here soon on tea in t
all right, we get a quick break come back.

Can you imagine twisting and turning for three four days
before you finally find out your fate. That's gotta be wild, right, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
And then there was the lawsuit with the young lady
who had the affair with moron who. Yeah, I don't think, yeah,
I don't think she's gonna end up seeing the courtroom.
They'll settle that one out of court. There's no doubt about.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
To get she's gonna get so paid.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
Oh, she's gonna get paid.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
So much money. But listen, I didn't hit him. Last segment,
Arnie was on fire. He doesn't feel like you guys
are loyal anymore. And as the NASCAR race gets restarted,
I want to read this from Donald. Donald writes, Wow,
Arnie doesn't listen to himself talk about the Dolphins, jumps
off the bandwagon after week two and says burn it down.

(30:22):
He's just like these alleged soccer fans.

Speaker 7 (30:25):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Not true at all, Not true at all.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
You don't say that.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
I never say burn it down or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
I mean, you come pretty close. Man.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
I'm not sure I get that. I'm sure I get disappointed.
But like I said, it was never about the players,
was never about Marino or anybody else on the dot.
I'm still a Dolphins fan, whether Dan Marino was the
quarterback or whoever was the quarterback out there. You know,
I was mostly supportive of Toura. To be honest with you,
I think you know that you were.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Over the top supportive of him. But you would also
you would also be ready to cut him after one
bad game.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Well, sometimes you fight with your wife and you want
to go out for you know, a beer or something
like that.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Oh my gosh, mister noo to quote my dad, All
Tulson turned for about two seconds knowing the US won't
win a World Cup. I don't care that fans trashed
the US team. The entire President Trump involvement was like
a bad storyline from Dallas or Wwe.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
I enjoyed this one. I enjoyed the storyline too.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
You know it did.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
I wanted to win the World Cup because I had
gotten into it and I thought we'd make a little
bit of a run.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
I didn't know, you know, I sure when.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
I saw that we were gonna have to face what
was in France and Argentina, there was like three or
four teams or three teams that we were just gonna
have to you know, it was gonna be a tough gauntlet.
So I knew we were gonna win it. But I
expected to maybe face one of the big boys and
have a good showing and you know, maybe lose by
one goal or something to that effect. Sure, I'm just
pointed like everybody else. But I'm not gonna say, oh,

(32:02):
we'll never catch up. We're never gonna be able to
do it based on one game. That's ridiculous. You think,
especially our best player had a micro fractured leg for
crying out loud.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
I thought our best player had a red card that
we had to fight to get him back. Which one's
our best player too, Arnie. It's not a one game
sample size. It's more than a one game sample size.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
Oh it is. I'm just saying that for the whole
World Cup.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
But did you act like this is the first World
Cup you've ever watched? Dude, You're you're coming here tonight.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
You're gonna go back years ago and throw that in
my face.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
I don't get it history.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Man. You're sitting here acting like, oh, this this is
just a matter of time before we get this thing
turned around. Bro, you sound like you do with the Dolphins.
All right. I mean it's just it's not a matter
of time. It's not a sport that we care about
unless it's youth soccer. Man, you come to Norman, Oklahoma,
you come to Tulsa Oaso Gene So, Oklahoma, and I

(33:01):
don't know rob you got if it's the same out
in LA or not.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
Soccer.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Every soccer field is loaded, right, kids playing like crazies.
So when people are like, oh the youth side, we
probably have more youths playing soccer than just about any
of these countries. So I have no if we want
to get into the nuances up. Well, they say transfer
fee and the and the academies and all those things.

(33:30):
Really you don't care about that, art he so quick,
acting like you do. No.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
Well, first of all, they say, the problem is that
we have the pay for play. That's why our team
are is not as good as some of the other.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
And when Larreadie says pay for play, that means you
have to pay to have your kids be on the
travel team. That's what we're talking about.

Speaker 5 (33:48):
Right, which is what Look. Believe me, I know about
travel teams my son playing hockey, and it was a
fortune Chris.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
I'm not gonna say it wasn't.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
I'm not gonna say sucking up or work extra jobs
or do anything of that situation where fortunately for us
we could go ahead and pay.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
For a lot of those drips.

Speaker 5 (34:05):
Know this, Yeah, but it was it was a drain,
make no mistake about it.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
It was a drain.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
There's got to be a better system.

Speaker 5 (34:12):
But I don't think that's holding us back, to be
honest with you, I think that's more of an excuse.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Uh nature boy, I have the answer to get more
Americans truly interested in soccer, more hot cheerleaders, less fat
drunk guys in face paint. Oh come on, now.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
You can have a still a little bit of both.

Speaker 5 (34:28):
You can still do that. We need we need something
like the Norway Row or the Tartan Army, you know
what I mean, Chris. We don't have anything like that.
We don't have the you know, the Row or the
you know, no Party, no Scotland, that type of thing.
We don't have any of that.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
But we two in like every other sport I know,
well do we're telling your little fit about it for soccer.
You don't care about soccer. I don't get this. I
you're you're part of the problem.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
Now, why am I? I'm you.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
I'm solving the problem.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
No, you're not. You're the one. You'll come in in
four years and you'll sit here. In four years, we're
gonna win the World Cup and you're gonna have the
same thing, and we're gonna give you all these You know, we.

Speaker 5 (35:14):
Were sixty the one that's like picking the Goulds and
the Commanders.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
What's what's run.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Sixty to one? You bag them?

Speaker 4 (35:24):
You picked them look pretty good after four I bet.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
Them Okay, you were wrong.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
You're like Patt and yourself the bad because they won
a couple of games. Hey, we made it to the Winter.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Round because I was wrong about them winning it.

Speaker 5 (35:38):
All that all of USA soccer is going to suffer
because Hardy Spader.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Was wrong with that was wrong with you. You gas
like you're you act like you're an expert. You don't
know what the hell you're talking about. People get all
fired up because it's like, look, we can win this thing.
Do you get the casuals in there? You and everyone
else here that wants to act like they know or
care about soccer. You don't. It's fine, I'm not saying
you have to. Just don't come in here and then

(36:05):
act like everyone is wrong because they're happy or they're
not happy that we lost. I mean, you're acting like
people should be high fiving and hugging. No, we got beat.

Speaker 5 (36:13):
It's like the three biggest people that blame on our losses, you, Polistic, Trump,
and me, not even in that order.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
For Grid out loud, here's a couple of more, because
again I don't think you're really getting the point. Miss uh.

Speaker 5 (36:27):
Now only you guys are getting the point.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
What Okay, then, what point are you making that you
don't think we're getting.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
I don't think you realize how bad the negativity was.
Did you get on Twitter after the loss? Did you
see all the crap?

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Do you think people are gonna be high five? And
when we play like, excuse my language, ass? I mean,
what do you want, Arnie? Whenever the Dolphins play poorly,
do you come in here and say, oh, well, you know,
at least we had a football game today.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
No, man, could I excuse me that producer you say
we have Could you please pull up the tape of
ocal am a softball when they got drilled last year
after a game on Chris Plank's reaction let's see here
in the back.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Yeah, go effort. What's your point that.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
You aren't saying other team's ass? So you know we're
just you said, well, bounce back, man, We're gonna go
ahead and bounce back.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
We're a good team.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Where you keep comparing a sport that's based in a
series and oh, by the way, a team that won
four straight national championships, right, you can stop that. And
then you're trying to say that you don't think I
was mad when they got beat.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
You were talking like well, we don't talk.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
About softball on the radio, you dope. What are you
doing right now?

Speaker 5 (37:38):
Ah?

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Like why people aren't allowed to be mad that the
US NO showed And all of a sudden, you're sitting
here trying to say, oh, Joy's in the journey, everybody
be happy about it. We'll get him eventually. You're part
of the problem.

Speaker 5 (37:51):
But no, no, you see, that's what you missed out, Chris.
And I'm actually surprised you said that. You don't think
it's about the journey. You don't think it's about the process.
You think you wanted to go ahead and go fifty
three years without a championship. But those years you spent
with your family, your dad, your mom, your brothers, your siblings,
all the time, you know, your friends, you did sports

(38:14):
bar as, you went, the games, you watch the games.
Those are truly what it is about sports. Not so
much to winning the championship every year, or even the
GMS or the coaches or that one great player. It
was really never about them. It was more about you
and you in your journey. To be honest with you,
that's what sports is about.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Surprise.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
I have to teach out to you.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
I guess I gotta reinforce that to you guys every
once a few years.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Yeah, we appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (38:40):
Welcome this one, Come.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
This one from at next year of Cubs eleven. It's
really tough to give an American sports analogy to soccer.
The gap from those top six to eight teams to
the next eight teams is a massive gap than another
huge gap from sixteen to thirty two. No, you see,
Arnie's got the arrogant American take is we're Americans, and
you guys just need to be happy that we got

(39:03):
this far after telling us that we were gonna win
the thing. So you're kind of like you like to
make these analogies about dating.

Speaker 5 (39:11):
Right, Buster Douglas did beat Mike Tyson.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
You know what I mean, what year was that?

Speaker 5 (39:18):
I don't even know. I don't know what it was.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
Right, you go back and you know what, David knocked
out Goliath. I mean, this kind of stuff happens, but
it's not the norm, man, and especially when we're talking
about tournament runs. Hey, Indiana came out of nowhere. But
guess what, Indiana got really good at football, and there's
spent a lot of money on their roster and they

(39:42):
went out and won a championship.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
But yet they were the worst.

Speaker 5 (39:46):
They were the worst college football team for a long
long time, and they did perfect example, and they turned
it around and look what they ended up doing. That's
a perfect example what I think USA soccer can do right.

Speaker 7 (39:57):
But it took time and they really can do it.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
But it's gonna be four more years.

Speaker 5 (40:02):
We got nothing but die.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
Youre four. But they don't all play US soccer non
stop between now and then, Arnie, That's not all they do.

Speaker 6 (40:10):
They do also play MLS like majority of those players too.
They don't play on any international club teams.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
Like this is the most amount of time we've ever
wakesed on this show on something you don't really care about.

Speaker 4 (40:21):
Oh wow, what do you see?

Speaker 5 (40:23):
What? They're part of the already been wasted.

Speaker 6 (40:25):
You're not even gonna watch soccer after this, after after
the final?

Speaker 5 (40:28):
Yeah, I told I was gonna watch m s L,
but I guess that's not around it anymore.

Speaker 6 (40:33):
You're not gonna watch MLS. You're not gonna watch SIRI,
You're not gonna watch Premier League. You're not gonna watch
any of the clubs.

Speaker 5 (40:38):
You no, I like the World Cup? What's wrong with
that what's what's what's wrong with like in the World Cup.
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
Now.

Speaker 6 (40:46):
What you have to do for this four year drough
is you have to sit and pray to God that
the former PSG coach wakes and shake something out of
these men.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
He doesn't care you're wasting your time. He does, You
don't care. You've out something where you saw a couple
of people that were mad on X and.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
You were more than just a couple of lost money, more.

Speaker 5 (41:07):
Than just a couple of people. I'll tell you that.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
Uh, well you've lost Shady Sean, our biggest fan. He said,
I'm turning the show off. What a waste of the
first hour in the first segment of the second.

Speaker 5 (41:17):
Wow, everything's you know, everything's a waste to him.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
If we don't talk what what is the Titans? Is
that what it is that he wants to talk about.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
If we do Martin pick up the Titans, we can't
make that guy win for it.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
I think there's also people that are that they see
through some like not just saying you, I mean, you're
obviously a fake on this, but there's people that see
through the outrage. You don't really care where soccer is
you don't, but they don't care at all.

Speaker 5 (41:42):
If I didn't care, I wouldn't be watching.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
I'm actually going to watch.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Well, thank you for watching. The only thing that's going
to be on next week, aren't.

Speaker 5 (41:51):
He Well watch Oh, I can watch a lot of order, right,
I can do that.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
It's the only sports thing that's on next week.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
And by the way, yeah, yeah, yeah, go ahead, go ahead, Arnie.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
No, I was gonna say tomorrow. Is that what you're
going to bring up?

Speaker 2 (42:05):
I was going to do the sponsor read, but go ahead.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Tomorrow's the worst sports day of the year.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Yes, that is very true, but it's not as bad
as it used to be. I mean it used to
be nothing. Now, speaking of things that people feign interested,
you got the WNBA going on, so you can act
outraged about something there if you would want to. True,
I'm surprised you didn't have that in the rundown here
tonight anywhere, or did you? And I got in there.

Speaker 5 (42:26):
I was going to add that in there.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
You just you don't care about soccer. I don't care
about soccer. Mary loves soccer.

Speaker 5 (42:33):
I don't know soccer, but I do care about it
when it's with the United States of America and that's
fire in the USFA. And when I was hoping we'd
have a better showing than that one last game, and yeah.

Speaker 4 (42:47):
I dope.

Speaker 5 (42:48):
We could have played one of the big boys. And
I really wish. I don't know why we can't have
it once every four years just seems so long. I mean,
that's just so long. If they want to grow it here,
I wish it would be once every two years, and
we got to have it every year. I mean every
two years here, we got to host it.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
Well that's not going to be the case, but it's
a great idea speaking of it. The excitement does continue
of the FIFA World Cup. It's now streaming live on
Fox one, the official English streaming platform, to catch every
unforgettable moment. Fox one brings the action straight to your screen,
so you never miss a goal. Download Fox one and
experience the FIFA World Cup life. So you're still all in,

(43:27):
You're gonna watch the semi finals and gonna be Roman
Numeral one next week.

Speaker 5 (43:31):
Oh absolutely. By the way, I'm reading a tweet that
came in. It doesn't make much sense, but I am
big tea rights. This is America. I'm a veteran, and
I'm proud to support your right to both be wrong.
Love the bit. How can we both be wrong though
your opposite of me? I don't know whatt we both
could be wrong?

Speaker 2 (43:51):
On that three o'clock eastern Tuesday for France and Spain,
and then on Wednesday England and Argentina at three eastern.
England and Argentina will be in Atlanta, and then at
and T Stadium for France and Spain before we finally
get to the World Cup Finals this weekend and MetLife
Stadium on Sunday or there you go, you'll be It'll

(44:13):
be probably Roman Numeral Run one for next Sunday night.

Speaker 5 (44:16):
Why wouldn't it be Roman? I mean, are you not
going to watch it? Are you not going to enjoy it?

Speaker 2 (44:20):
I'm not gonna be sitting here trying to break it down.
I'm gonna watch it as a fan. I'm not going
to be losing my mind over it. Because I'm ready
for college football. I'm ready for football. I'm ready for
mini camps. I'm ready for you to tell me every
single week how great your quarterback is going to be.
I'm let's go.

Speaker 5 (44:37):
Let's go my Weekue, Let's go.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
All right, gotta get a break. We'll come back. Roman
numer number six tonight. A failed trade that nearly changed
the NBA. What is it and how close was it is? Next?
Right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Senior times mad at me, but.

Speaker 4 (44:56):
He does he grew cranky, people are.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
This is a good point at stinking genius one. I'm
at playing show. Everyone go follow us at Fox Sports Radio.
The following nations have made the round of sixteen for
the last four World Cups. They have qualified for that.
And to keep in mind, you have to add in
that they have qualified for because I believe Dave, the

(45:22):
only team on this list that didn't qualify for a
World Cup is the USA, Argentina, Brazil, France, Switzerland in
the USA Bingo bingo. Right, but again one of those
years they didn't even make the win. We go you
feel like that's your high five championship win, your Your

(45:42):
whole point is that you're mad at people that were mad.

Speaker 5 (45:45):
First of all, go wash your face after being slap
like that. And two that's true. That goes to show
you how much really the gap is closer than you think.

Speaker 4 (45:54):
Just because we had one bad game.

Speaker 5 (45:56):
It's not what you've done for me, what you've done
for me lately, and that's why people are all bitter.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Right now, you wash your face after getting slapped.

Speaker 5 (46:05):
No, you're right. It should have come up with something
better than.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
That, senior time. I support you, Arnie, not like your
arrogant co host who likes hearing himself talk. By the way,
soccer is only worth watching every four years, so bro,
you support Arnie. But then you say soccer is only
worth watching every four years, when that's my point, you
old dope. Jimmy V's three another messy World Championship cements

(46:28):
his legacy as the soccer goat. That's not quite a battle,
right whenever you think about the all time greats and
that sport. Not being an expert in it, but I
think he'd be right there. Can the home run derby
go back to its nineteen nineties format and Joe Burrow
is going to have a historically good season, saying, oh, I.

Speaker 5 (46:49):
Don't know what the nineteen ninety format was, so I
know this year's is different, though it's supposed to be
a better so that we can watch the home runs
go over the fence and we don't have to run
back to the at bat because it's a time or
anything like that.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
I don't remember. We've done so many different things, but
we did have the bracket. There were two innings to
hit as many home runs as possible before reaching five
outs in an inning. So I think it is kind
of similar to what they're doing now, right, instead of
giving innings, it's it's pitches.

Speaker 5 (47:26):
So yes, it is total pitches, so you don't have
to it's what you swing at. No, I think it's
total swings, not pitches, right.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
So it's it's kind of similar. It's kind of similar.
Shady Sean's not wrong. This has been a huge waste
of time talking about a sport ran by a group
with more corruption than the DeMeo and Soprano family.

Speaker 5 (47:48):
What do they want to I'm just curious. On July twelfth,
we're still not into the NFL. We don't even have
camp chet, there's no preseason game, there's summer NBA. But
what exactly do they want to hear that we're missing
out on. That's what I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Vincent writes, I'm so glad you called out Arnie for
saying he sounds like these American fans talking about loyalty
when it comes to soccer. When they say something like that,
they make it sound so political. Don't believe me. Read
the tweets before the Belgium game, like those out there? Yeah,
I think you're really what's the word I'm looking for here?

(48:29):
He got a cherry picking a few things that are
out there. I think for the most part, people were
pretty excited about how far we got and people felt
pretty good and this is a great accomplishment. Again, there's
then people that are like, we're gonna win this thing,
and I think they can go win and they're gonna
go win it. And when they don't and have an
effort like that, well, I think there's gonna be people
that are right and they shouldn't be.

Speaker 5 (48:49):
I think there was so much negativity I'm polistic. It
was insane. I mean, I actually felt bad for the guy.
Even our comic were picking on him. To be honest
with you, Chris.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
Did you think that there was unfair criticism of Victor
wimbin Yama or do you think there was unfair criticism
of Lebron. It's what we do, dude, It's what we
do in this sport.

Speaker 5 (49:13):
I don't do that ever.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Steve Disager comes rolling in with everything that is trending
in the world of sports as we watch a live
sporting event during this show tonight. What's going on, Steve.

Speaker 8 (49:25):
And within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to listen live.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
Thanks Steve. Let me get a couple of non soccer
things here real quick before we go in depth with
the Sager's update. James asks a very fair question, are
you guys up for the All Star Game or just
a home run Derby. Let me be honest, I'm out
on both, and I know it's like the only thing
going on. But All Star Game is fun for some

(49:49):
of the interviews and to see some of the players
that I don't watch a lot, but I'm not. I'm
not really into the home run Derby anymore. And my
partner locally used to travel to all all the All
Star Games like he loves it, and it's just I
don't know, man, about eighty five or eighty six, I
think I lost my love for the All Star Game.

Speaker 4 (50:07):
It's not must watch TV for me.

Speaker 5 (50:10):
If I'm home, I'm ham vegan on unless there's something
else I want to watch that's the home run contest
and the All Star Game.

Speaker 2 (50:17):
I'm more.

Speaker 5 (50:19):
More likely to sit in front of the TV and
watch the soccer semifinals than they am the All Star
Game in the home run contest. To be honest with.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
You, nature boy, I just watched a rerun of the
twenty twenty one NFC Championship Game and realize there's really
no reason to watch soccer in the USA. Evan adds
lebron is waiting to announce which team's fan base will
whish they never heard of him or Bronni until the
All Star Game. Late night drug tester in honor of
the World Series of Poker, Maybe Arnie can give us

(50:48):
some card playing advice. Oh yeah, you're giving everyone how
to be a fan advice, how to be a soccer
fan advice. How about some poker advice.

Speaker 5 (50:55):
I'm I'm not a poker player, more of a blackjack player.
Chris right, and I do have a system in blackjack.
I don't bust when I played blackjack.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Really, if he's sitting on sixteen, it's like a king.
Arnie doesn't hit.

Speaker 5 (51:10):
Right, I won't hit on sixteen if the guy has
a king shown, because what's to say that the dealers
card underneath is not as bad as just as bad
as you know. You're sixteen, so I think too many times.
And plus Chris, when you bust, you have a zero
percent chance of winning. I give myself a chance to win,
So you got to learn from me. I'm I'm the

(51:32):
blackjack insider here.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
I don't I think that you would get your backside
kicked if you win with that theory. Often on a
full table, you would be the most despised person. And
I think the old book would say you'd lose more
often than you'd win.

Speaker 5 (51:47):
I'm not sure about that.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
When is the last time you played blackjack?

Speaker 4 (51:51):
Oh, it's been a long long time.

Speaker 5 (51:53):
I haven't been. Yeah, I have not played well. I
went to Vegas about what like four years ago, four
or five years.

Speaker 2 (51:58):
Ago, Roman numeral number six.

Speaker 4 (52:03):
Yes, you've been talking about that.

Speaker 2 (52:04):
Yes, well it caught my attention because i've seen one. Well,
I just I don't know what you're referring to, because
I've seen a lot of different projected trades. I know
you are one that falls for a lot of the
fake trade reports out there, But you are claiming that
there is a failed trade that nearly changed the NBA.
Now you're not going back to the NBA not allowing

(52:27):
the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (52:29):
Right. That was one of the five Yes. I saw
a I don't know, whatever you want to call it
that said five failed trades that almost changed the Oh.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
I thought you were talking about something for this year.

Speaker 4 (52:43):
No, no, no, I'm talking about overall.

Speaker 5 (52:45):
Like within the last I don't know, twenty years or
something like that, maybe longer than that. It was five
failed trades that almost changed the entire NBA. One of
them was Steph Curry to the Milwaukee I don't know
if you remember that one Chris where they were going
to trade him for Andrew Bogert and the deal was

(53:09):
set and Milwaukee said, nah, we talked to the medical
staff and they said that Curry's ankles won't hold up
long term, so we wanted Monte Ellis instead, and Monte
ended up going to Milwaukee, and the Warriors got to
keep Steph Curry, but they they put him out there,

(53:30):
and Milwaukee was the one that said, no, no, no,
we can't. We can't deal with that. We just we
can't trust his ankles. We don't think he's going to
be around. He had had a torn ligament in twenty
eleven and had a spray and ankle I believe the
following season. So they're like, no, no, he's not going
to last. That guy's not going he's not going to

(53:51):
be around Chris. So we don't want him. Give us,
give us Montelis over or over.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Well, and keep in mind the Golden State Warriors after
his first couple of seasons, had a decision to make
about giving him the extension because of severe concerns over
his ankle, and they decided to go to all right,
I see what you're saying. I thought that you were
pointing out like one or two trains from this. You
gotta be a little bit clear on the Romano run.

Speaker 5 (54:18):
Well, I had said that the other four were Klay
Thompson to the Timberwolves for Kevin Love. So I don't
remember that one too well. I don't know how much
that would have changed. The other one, as you mentioned,
was Chris Paul to the Lakers. Now here's what I
don't remember at all, Chris. So I'm gonna have to
put you on the spot.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
And uh, well, you didn't remember it because it didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (54:42):
It didn't happen. But Charles Barkley to the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
There was a Barkley to the Lakers rumor.

Speaker 5 (54:50):
I more than a rumor. I guess these were trades
that were done for some reason. It backed out, some
team backed out, or something backed out. And the fifth
one Kobe Bryant to the Chicago Bulls.

Speaker 2 (55:05):
I thought the Bryant one was always to the Clippers.

Speaker 5 (55:08):
That's what I thought. He had called the Clippers that
I'm coming over there. I did not know there.

Speaker 4 (55:12):
Was a Bulls room.

Speaker 5 (55:13):
So I'm gonna have to pull the Barkley to the
Lakers and Kobe to the Bulls. I don't know about
those two.

Speaker 2 (55:19):
Prior to being traded to the Phoenix Suns in the
summer of ninety two, the Lakers and Sixers had agreed
on a deal that would have sent Charles Barkley to
the Lakers in exchange for James Worthy and Elden Campbell.
By ninety two, that was a little bit later in
Worthy's careers.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
Okay, so it wasn't the All Star Worthy like we.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
Well, I mean ninety two rob that he still was
pretty good. Barkley received a call from his agent confirming
the trade had gone through. He was happy to leave Philly. Remember,
Philly was in a rough spot. He went out to
celebrate and began drinking in the middle of the day. However,

(56:02):
according to the report from who Is a Silver Screen,
about three hours later, his agent called and delivered the
news that the Sixers had backed out of the agreement,
and they eventually they eventually traded him to Phoenix that offseason.

Speaker 5 (56:17):
Oh wow, So I don't.

Speaker 2 (56:19):
Remember the Kobe to the Bulls trade, but like I said,
the Clippers one was close, I guess. In two thousand
and four and two thousand and seven, the Lakers nearly
had a deal that sent him to the Chicago Bulls. However,
each time they fell through.

Speaker 5 (56:40):
Oh were the good? What were they going to get
for him in return?

Speaker 2 (56:44):
In two thousand and seven, Let's see, the Lakers demanded
a massive package. Hey, now that included Luau Dang. Who
was That was good? Lu Au Dang, Tyrus Thomas, Ben Gordon,
and Joe Kim Noah, and that was good. Ben Gordon too,
No stop. Ben Gordon had a little stretch there for
three years where he was pretty damn good. Now, I

(57:06):
would have never traded him for Kobe, but uh yeah,
interesting didn't realize that there was a Kobe to the
Bulls two thousand and four.

Speaker 4 (57:14):
Years Roberts, did you say something I didn't hear it.

Speaker 9 (57:16):
Yeah, I do know the details of why that trade
fell through. You'll never gets this.

Speaker 2 (57:20):
One go ahead.

Speaker 5 (57:21):
The trade was done.

Speaker 9 (57:22):
According to multiple people at that time. Will cover that situation,
and the only reason it fell through was because Kobe
insisted on lou All Dang not being in the deal
because he thought that could be his Scottie Pippen in Chicago.
Oh so, lou all Dang, who eventually became a Laker
had one of the worst contracts in any history, was
the reason why.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
Kobe never went to the Bulls.

Speaker 9 (57:44):
They were looking for houses, they were looking at school,
they were ready to go, but lou All Dang could
not be in the deal and that was the issue.

Speaker 5 (57:51):
Wow wow, how that would have changed things big time,
no doubt about that.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Do you think any of these deals that we've seen
this offseason, because these have been some big ones, right,
You've seen LaMelo Ball go to Minnesota. Lebron is still
out there though. I think the Philly possibility is incredible.
The Lakers win, got a big man, you know, and
Walker Kessler and.

Speaker 5 (58:13):
What Brown like Philadelphia's Jalen.

Speaker 2 (58:15):
Brown to Philly. I mean, are any of these going
to be well, these wouldn't be trades that nearly happen.
Yan Is to the Miami Heat. It's been a while
since that's happened. Any of these can shake the foundation
the NBA, I feel like right now.

Speaker 5 (58:28):
Yeah, I think the Jalen Brown one. I'm really intrigued
to what Philadelphia is going to do, how they're going
to turn out. That's that's something I want to watch.
I'm sure the NBA is going to put them on
TV early so we can get a glimpse of them.
I'm looking forward to see what they've got themselves this year.

Speaker 2 (58:43):
When we come back, Steve de Sager gets all the
news and notes we missed in, including an update where
the NASCAR race is still going on. They've got a
battle for the lead and there are sixty there's about
eighty laps left. Ty Gibbs has the lead over Christopher
Bell and Chris Busher as we head down the home

(59:04):
stretch from Echo Park Speedway Tonight with Arnine Plank on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (59:13):
All right, it's that time of the night where we
turn the almost have turned the table over. We've done
that a few times tonight, turn the steering wheel over
to our man, Steve de Sager, and he gets caught
up on everything, including a little NASCAR race. Well, we're
still into tonight.

Speaker 10 (59:28):
We might finish it in the next forty five minutes
or so. And that's an Eastern time zone race by
the way, Echo Park south of Atlanta. But there was
a weather day tonight of over three hours, so they
race for about an hour and then finally resumed and
we shall.

Speaker 2 (59:43):
See how it goes.

Speaker 10 (59:44):
Currently they are well, now that we've just had the caution,
all it's reshuffled the deck.

Speaker 5 (59:50):
So Ty Gibbs was leading for the moment.

Speaker 10 (59:52):
Carsonosovar is leading, and we'll see how that turns out.
We did have earlier Ryan Blaney near the top fact
he earned the pole led at the red flag stop age.
Joey Logano had been in the top ten and right
until the recent caution, he was right around twentieth. By
the way, and you guys were talking about basketball in
Las Vegas. The Summer League continues in Jackxelendenborg from the

(01:00:13):
Michigan war fire fourteen points. His Warriors beat the thunder easily.
A Daimarra from Champion Michigan was on the other side
for OKC had ten points, nine rebounds.

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
I got a good stat for you on that.

Speaker 5 (01:00:25):
By the way, we were well ahead. Well, I give
me a second. It was a good I said it
to you, Plike.

Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
I mean, holy cow.

Speaker 5 (01:00:36):
I thought you would have been by now.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Well. I mean I have a lot of tweets that
you have said. Here it is here.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
It is Drake Powell. In four summer league games, he
is one for twenty eight from the field. Oh for
fourteen from three point range.

Speaker 10 (01:00:51):
I would like to know how many fouls for Powell,
because you can't fall out of summer league games. Some
guys get eight fowls in these games.

Speaker 5 (01:00:59):
One twenty eight from the field. You I could think, hey, shooter,
shoot man, that's right, Yeah, shooters shoot, but stop stop.
That's five. That's four games, so good.

Speaker 10 (01:01:12):
Geez ouch aj debons at twenty three points. Tonight, Wizard's
gotta win over the Kings. Milwaukee's first rounder Brayden Burry's
Do we not hear a he.

Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
Had eighteen yet eighteen points of sports game? What did
he have today?

Speaker 10 (01:01:28):
At twenty six Tonight for Milwaukee they lost to the Spurs,
and in the late game the Clippers Keaton Woggler, first
rounder twenty three points. They beat Utah and Darren Peterson
who had twenty three points tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:01:40):
Yeah, twenty two is first game, I believe, so he'll
be fine.

Speaker 10 (01:01:44):
And I remember this, this is not going the whole month.
We don't have playoffs in August or anything like that.
In fact, for the NFL, August sixth is the Hall
of Fame game Carolina against Arizona. So those two teams
vets will be reporting to camp July twenty second, That
is ten days away. Wow, All thirty two NFL teams
will have reported to camp by July twenty eighth, for

(01:02:05):
what just over two weeks away. And looking way ahead,
I saw a list of guys who are quite likely
to be top ten picks next year in the NFL,
and that includes wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State quarterback
Darien Mensa, who has transferred from Duke to Miami now
the USC quarterback out of Hawaii, Jaden Mayava. Also, of course,

(01:02:26):
Arch Manning, Texas quarterback is on the list, and quarterback
Dante More, Oregon's QB who transferred from UCLA. But do
not ask Troy Aikman about him. Just trust me, there's
don't bring up the subject. The World Cup semifinal start
Tuesday afternoon with a game in Dallas and then Wednesday
afternoon a game in Atlanta, so they won't be affected

(01:02:47):
by the weather like the Saturday games, where Argentina has
advanced in a chance to win back to back titles.
The thing is Fifus started the rankings in nineteen ninety
two and this is the first time that the top
four in the rankings are the four in the final
four at the World Cup. Cannot wait for these matchups.

(01:03:07):
Spain is undefeated in regulation in its last thirty six
straight games, twenty seven to zero with nine ties. The
record is thirty seven straight set by Italy through twenty
twenty one.

Speaker 5 (01:03:19):
Says you don't care, but go ahead.

Speaker 10 (01:03:22):
I think that was not a you like to you
or you Arnie Spaniard, you don't care. Last Friday, Spain
eliminated Belgium on a late goal. Argentina has survived had
a Round a sixteen game with that three to two
win over Egypt with three goals in about the last
fifteen minutes. And did you notice that FIFA today said
it will look at the World Cup field being expanded

(01:03:43):
from forty eight to sixty four teams in it, because
of course they will. It's like March madness. It's like
they can't help themselves. This current version is the first
ever with forty eight teams. It had been thirty two.
A possible sixty four team tournament would feature one hundred
and twenty eight total man us.

Speaker 5 (01:04:00):
You should make it for sure now.

Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:04:01):
Finally, by the way, they don't have the TV rights
set for the next couple of World Cups. It might
not be on Fox in English, it might not be
on Telemundo in Spanish. Nothing is decided for future Men's
World Cups yet in this country.

Speaker 2 (01:04:15):
Got a little waste to go before. You have to
worry about that. Thanks Steve. When we come back the
Power Hour, more of your tweets and the latest news
we have on the Kawai trade. Here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (01:04:26):
And within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to listen live.

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
Don't listen no Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
Do you want to start questioning loyalty and all that?
And you want to start saying, no, one.

Speaker 5 (01:04:39):
Ployers don't have any oyalty, nor should they. They're going
to go to the highest.

Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
Nor should they. So then why should fans.

Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
Well, because it's a different situation. Loyal Your fandom is
going to last your whole life, will it? Yeah, it's
supposed to see that claim to.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Be a Giants fan too. I mean, has that been
your whole life? Never heard? Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:05:00):
No, I've been a Dolphin fan my whole life, no
doubt about it, A Knicks fan, a Mets fan. We
know where my loyalties lie, Arizona fan ever since I
went to college out there.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
So I'm not doubting your loyalties. I'm just saying, do
you not. I understand why people get mad when their
teams lose.

Speaker 5 (01:05:17):
Oh, I understand why they get mad, But it just
seems like they've crossed the line. And you know, I
heard Colin once say that, you know, fans aren't loyal,
nor should they have to be loyal anymore? If your
team is not going to invest in winning, why should
you invest in them? But you know, I think again,

(01:05:38):
we've lost our purpose. We've forgotten about you know, other
stuff than just about winning.

Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
It's not always about winning.

Speaker 5 (01:05:45):
Chris, it's not always about your kid getting an A
on the test.

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
I don't know if you know that it's.

Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
Not it actually is, but go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:05:53):
Maybe it is for your kidd he went the Westboy
for granted, go ahead, but it's just not always about that.
It's just if they give their best effort, you know
what I mean, And that that's what it's supposed to
be about.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
Chris, When did you get softow? No, I'm being dead serious, like.

Speaker 5 (01:06:11):
Maybe it's the summer time and I'm soft during the sunner.

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
Mary and and Rob G I know you you probably
work harder than about any if not any producer.

Speaker 5 (01:06:21):
We had stop it.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
And Rob A, can we keep these clips? Because I
want all this Kumbai Ya and everybody just to be
happy with the fact that we got here, like everyone
got gassed up, that we're making a run. Baby, everyone
got gassed up, and then we played like crap, and
now you're gonna get mad that people are mad. It
blows me away that that was your a. I thought

(01:06:44):
your anger was going to be at like how the
fans have reacted or I don't know how they're not
really into soccer. I didn't expect you to be on
some sort of loyalty kids were in soccer.

Speaker 5 (01:06:56):
I loved that the Europeans had a great time out
of here. I really maybe that was part of it too,
They had such a great time out here, going the
BUCkies in Texas Roadhouse, in Walmart. But you know, I
just I thought they had a great time and they thoroughly.
You know, I did see that one influencer what's his name, cheeze.

(01:07:20):
I don't know if you saw that viral clip of him.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
This is not the best way to introduce something, but
I mean, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
I can't remember his name.

Speaker 5 (01:07:28):
He was speed guy, the who the I think that
might be the one that was wearing the Norway jersey.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
Well then I think the ice speed guys were about
every single jersey, so oh is that what is?

Speaker 5 (01:07:38):
And he was just making a spectacle of himself and
pretty much spitting on people and using bad words, so
they had to toss him out. It just, you know,
these influencers another part of the reason why, you know,
it gets tough watching these sports. I mean, you couldn't
have live stream the event and they were doing it anyway,

(01:07:59):
so they got big trouble about that. One of them
is getting sued for millions of dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
Well, I think maybe this is part of it too,
because I'm actually with you on this front. I do
think it's very frustrating whenever you see that there is
a almost catering in some of the coverage out there
towards that group. Right, Oh, well, look at the influencers
that are here. I could see what that would frustrate
you a little bit. But I hope we get good

(01:08:24):
at soccer. Man, I want to win. I want to
win everything. But I'm a little bit shocked that you
were maud of people.

Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
It's not that it's not that I don't want to win,
but the same thing goes with my Miami Dolphins. I mean, hell,
look how long it's been since the Dolphins one. Look
how long it's been the nixt one. But I'm still
a fan of the Knicks. I would never think of saying, oh,
this week, I'm going to be a Golden State Warrior fan.

Speaker 4 (01:08:45):
That is not gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (01:08:46):
Griz.

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
What if the Warriors moved to Vermont and they were
right there in your backyard? I'll be serious, sorry, right,
because you talk about loyalty, right, I'm a lifelong die
hard Lakers fan, and they have set my expectation to
win a championship. There's no rebuild here, right. We tried that,
it didn't work. I expect you to win a championship.

(01:09:10):
I expect Walker Kessler to be the best big man
in the game. Don't care. You're the Lakers. You're supposed
to be good. But suddenly the Thunder move in my
backyard and they're very good. So am I allowed to
have some allegiances there too? Or? I mean do I
Does that mean I'm not loyal to the Lakers because
suddenly the Thunder are in my backyard? It's tough.

Speaker 5 (01:09:30):
Do you think my wife should be a Clippers fan?
Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Why did they move to Vermont too?

Speaker 5 (01:09:36):
No, they used to be the Buffalo Braves, the Buffalo Gives.
I believe, moved to San Diego, they became the Sane Slippers,
and then from San Diego they came to the Los Angeles.
I believe that San Diego Clippers had Norm Nixon. Oh
they had traded for a gotten from the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
I believe Roman numeral number seven. We haven't talked about
it enough tonight. I think we got through all the
World Cup stuff. We hit on Arnie's angry with all
you fans and your lack of loyalty. Team USA loses,
so they're out, but apparently we're gonna win the World
Cup in four years. Roman um Rold three. I am in,

(01:10:15):
by the way, I am watching every minute. I'm thoroughly
enjoying it. But I'm not trying to sit here and
tell you that I understand that why they never do anything,
Why you just sit around and pass the ball. It's
like go go, especially whenever you're in a moment of
need like Norway was.

Speaker 5 (01:10:33):
But that was a very frustrating game. I mean, they
just killed a lot. That heat had something to do
with it, There's no doubt about that. They killed a
lot of time Norway. I felt they could have maybe
pressed a little bit more and gone on the offensive.

Speaker 4 (01:10:49):
And by the way, Holland right, they're big star.

Speaker 5 (01:10:53):
He had a terrible penalty called against them. You know,
Way caused his team a goal, caused him the game.
You think he's getting hate tweets and all that, they
still love him. If Polisic had pushed somebody down and
caught us, caused us a goal and we had lost,

(01:11:14):
Twitter would have destroyed him, destroyed him, but it's not
the same thing for how and his countrymen support him.
That's the difference.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Well, I don't know that that's the case. I mean,
I'm gonna be willing to pat, I.

Speaker 4 (01:11:28):
Know, but you can't prove me wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
So well, we could search his Twitter mentions if you
wanted to. But who's to say that's not a bunch
of Americans who got crazy about a dude with blonde
hair and all this workout videos and said, I'm betting
on you. You look like you could be a tied end.
Who knows. But anyway, Okay, so now that we're good
on that Roman numeral number seven, Norman number number eight,
and I don't know what you put Lebron on.

Speaker 5 (01:11:53):
Lebron Roman noual number sixteen.

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
Wow, that barely made the cut.

Speaker 5 (01:11:57):
Well, I forgot about him and I had to put
him in a late edition there.

Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
So let me hitch you up with the three things
aren't he wanted to talk about in the NBA? Number one,
the Kawhi trade. Is this not gonna happen now? Because
I'm starting to wonder a bit. And remember, as we've learned,
it's not really that the NBA is saying, hey, we're
holding up this trade. It's that the NBA is saying, well, Toronto,

(01:12:21):
you understand that once you make this trade, then you're
going to be on the hook for any discipline and
that he's going to happen, which is ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (01:12:30):
You need to penalize the people that I actually committed
the infraction.

Speaker 4 (01:12:34):
So I don't understand why Bomber would.

Speaker 5 (01:12:37):
Be off the hook just because he made a trade
and got rid of Kawhi letter. I would not make
the trade until the penalty comes on down. So that's
the one thing I can't really understand why they would
go ahead and penalize Toronto when it was the cover. Chris,
you've been saying this for the fifteen years we've been
doing the show. You don't believe there's such thing as
a salary cap.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
I don't think now we know why.

Speaker 5 (01:12:59):
I really we people circumvent the cap all the time,
and this just happens to be the one dime. Bobo
Dorre caught onto it, and you know the research. But
I believe that this goes on a lot more than
we think. And I just thought it was a commonplace
to be honest with it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
Maybe yeah, and you wonder how far do you want
to push this? You know, it's like, oh, we investigated
it and it wasn't as in depth as we thought,
Like does the NBA come out with something like that
and just say we did our due diligence. The raptors
pausing it concerns me just a bit that they think
there might be something more to it. But what would
you put right now? A percentage this still gets done?

(01:13:37):
Like seventy eight percent? Are you a little bit lower
than that?

Speaker 4 (01:13:41):
I'm going to say about sixty percent?

Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
Okay, here a little lower.

Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
Yeah, I'm a little bit lower. I still got some hesitation.
But my goodness, how much longer is this investigation? Pabolatry
would have had it wrapped up within an hour for
crit Out.

Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
Absolutely absolutely, Roman numeral eight. So if you've been a
listener to this show with any regularity over the last
thirteen fourteen years, however long we've done this, there is
one consistent take that Arnie's always had that if someone
does something to him that he considers I'd punch them
in the face or I'd elbow them. I'll tell you

(01:14:14):
what if I was with Victor winbin Yama, I'd be
elbowing him and he'd get all my physicality and mister
tough guy stuff. We actually had to play out, yes,
in the NBA Summer leagues Bam out of Bio versus
Tyler Hero, which somehow ended up in like Draymond Green
versus Eudonna's haslam on social media too. I don't know

(01:14:34):
how that all played out, but I mean, you have
a problem with this because I don't, you know, I
like it.

Speaker 5 (01:14:41):
It would Bam out of Bio punching here.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
Oh probably, Well, I have not listen. Whenever we come
to blows. I don't have a problem with confronting someone
over something that either is on social media or was
said to somebody. I have no problem at all, and
I don't have a problem with allowing them off. It's like, hey,
what do you mean by this? Because this really keep
me off, Like, I don't think it has to come
to blows, Like we don't know, maybe once out of

(01:15:04):
Bio said something. Maybe Tyler Hero. Yeah, it was a
big tough guy on him. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:15:08):
I think it had something to do with him getting
the Max contract.

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Well, I thought it had to do with him that
the Hero didn't think he was as good as maybe
he thinks he is too. But throwing hands on he
is what I'm asking more than anything else. You have
a problem with.

Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
This, Yeah, I have a big problem without a bio
just throwing a punch, kind of sucker punching him.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Well, do we know that it was a sucker punch?

Speaker 5 (01:15:32):
Well, he threw the first punch, didn't he. I didn't
hear any reports that Tyler Hero through the first punch.

Speaker 2 (01:15:37):
But just because you throw the first punch doesn't mean
it's a sucker punch.

Speaker 5 (01:15:41):
No, I guess you're right on that. But let me
tell you something. I don't know if Tyler Hero hit
him back, but if you would have thrown the first punch.

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
There you go. It would have been what would you
have done to it?

Speaker 5 (01:15:51):
There would have been two hits, me hitting him and
him in the ground. I promise you that.

Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
It's a tough guy right there that we're dealing with
every single time.

Speaker 5 (01:15:58):
Do you know where I'm from, the Bronx.

Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
I understand, Yeah, But you're just you want everyone to
just be happy and have they're joined the journey right now?

Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
In my face?

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
Well, I mean again, I if you feel like I'm not.
I'm not a fighter, man, I'm not gonna throw hands.
I don't think. Well, you're from the Bronx, you're a
tough guy. You are, But there's better ways to solve
some of these disputes. I want to know how in
this society there's no video of it. It's almost as
if there's this part of me that thinks it's in

(01:16:30):
Vegas too, you know what I mean? Right, how could
there in this day today, in this world that we
live in, where everything is videotaped, how can there not
be video of this anywhere? Right? There's got to be
a security camera footage somewhere. There's got to be a
random cell phone video somewhere, at least a picture, Arnie.
This is like the punch heard around the world that

(01:16:51):
never happened unless there are some there's not even grainy
video or somebody that had it up and all of
a sudden, you're ooh, world star, they're yellow while the.

Speaker 5 (01:17:00):
Fun goes early though we need it takes like a
week or two to get the video out there.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
And then finally, what'd you say, Roman numeral number sixteen? Yes,
what is gonna happen with lebron James? I?

Speaker 5 (01:17:13):
Mean, I believe, like everybody else, he's going to end
up in Cleveland. They're making room for him for Bronni.
I don't know what's taken all this time. I don't
know if they have to dot I is cross T's,
or there's final things to get done, or they're waiting
for another trade to go through so they can clear
room for Bronni. I can't give you an answer to that, Chris,
but I do think he's gonna end up in Cleveland

(01:17:35):
when it's all said and done.

Speaker 2 (01:17:36):
I think you're right. I will say I don't know
what's real and what isn't on social media, but I
do think that the idea that Draymond Green was drunk
and sending him text all week and long is hilarious.
But I don't think that's real.

Speaker 5 (01:17:51):
What are the chances of us getting Kobe Autman on
from the Cavaliers? He's what the president of basketball operations?

Speaker 2 (01:17:59):
I don't know. Did you play with him?

Speaker 5 (01:18:01):
I've had him on my show like that. I'm in Vermont,
though only in Vermont because he used to play a
small school, small college here in VERMONTI played basketball.

Speaker 2 (01:18:13):
So Rob, I know that you're filling in tonight, and
you're the best. This is how Arnie tries to get
someone on. He's like, hey, let's get Kobe Altman on
and you would say, what, well, give me some contact information, right,
how can you get in touch with him? Just just
just you know, find him you find him out, Yeah,
just just get him out there, don't Rob.

Speaker 4 (01:18:32):
Rob won't even let us fill in for the odd couple.

Speaker 2 (01:18:34):
He would.

Speaker 4 (01:18:35):
He's like, you know, odd.

Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
Couple doesn't take any days off as part of it.

Speaker 5 (01:18:39):
Oh, they take all the time off in the world.
Do you want to fill in for Colin Coward? I'll
make that happen if you wanted to.

Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
Sure, Arnie. I mean, you kind of run this show,
so whatever you can do to make that.

Speaker 5 (01:18:50):
Colin takes some time off.

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
I'm a big believer that the best fit for Lebron
is Philly, and I I know that that would mean
less money for him. I don't know. There was a
report tonight, and I can't I think it was like
Kevin O'Connor who had it that said that the other
guy who might be coming with Lebron is Kevin Love.
And no offense to Kevin Love. You're one of my
all time favorite basketball players, but you know, really haven't

(01:19:14):
kind of done anything in like the last four exactly.
I mean, you know, Bron, he's probably gonna go with him.
But if you think about what Philly has, like, I
love the idea, and I don't know how Mark Willard
feels about this. Willard's a Bay Area guy, and I
know we got a lot of people listening out on
the West coast in the Bay Area. I don't want
Lebron's last act to be trying to get the Warriors back.

(01:19:38):
You know, it's like, that's great, that's staff and that's
Draymond's job. Let let's let them handle that. To me,
I think that he brought a championship to the Lakers, right.
You can make fun of it all you want, but
he brought a championship to the Lakers. He brought a
championship to Cleveland, a city that hadn't had one since

(01:19:59):
the day I don't know, no face masks in football, right.
He brought a championship to the Miami Heat. Everywhere he's gone,
he's brought a title. Right now, when you look across
the league the Association, is there a team that as
of what we thought until the Arena got taken over
by Knicks fans, but a more passionate place than Philadelphia.

(01:20:21):
That's been you know, a bride's maid, but never the bride,
if you will, when it comes to a championship in
quite a while. I mean, Doctor j was flying from
the free throw line. Moe Malone was out there the
last time that the Sixers won anything that game. Were
you really yea, wouldn't it be kind of cool to
see Lebron do that, or at least try to do

(01:20:43):
that with his squad they have in Philly right now.

Speaker 5 (01:20:45):
Yeah, but that's no different than if he was in
Golden State trying to bring them a championship. He's doing
the Golden State's won one recently, right, but he's doing
the same thing for Philadelphia, I mean to me, and look,
I don't care Lebron ends up because at the biggest
superstars in sports ended up on you know, take like
a Joe Montana who ended up in Kansas City, or

(01:21:08):
Jerry Rice who ended up with like in Seattle or
Denver or something like that. Walt Fraser ended up I
believe with the Cleveland Cavalry.

Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
Well, but again, Joe Montana is a little bit unfair
with the Chiefs because Joe Montana took the Chiefs farther
in the playoffs when he was there, then they had
gone in a long right.

Speaker 5 (01:21:25):
But that's not who he is and that's not who
we remember him for. So I mean, just based on Lebron,
I mean, yeah, he can finish up in Philadelphia or
Miami or Golden State. Well, especially Philadelphia and Golden State.
I'm not gonna remember for him for those teams. He's
always going to be a Laker a Cavalier to me,
those are the two teams. Well that will resonate more.

Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
Oh so, the Lakers and the Cavaliers resonate more for
you than Miami.

Speaker 5 (01:21:51):
And yes it does. Yeah, even because Miami he had
the Big Three.

Speaker 4 (01:21:55):
You know, I know they won there.

Speaker 5 (01:21:58):
Maybe I should give them a little bit more. But
I always think of Lebron more as a Cavalier, as
a Laker than as a Miami. Am I wrong about that?

Speaker 2 (01:22:08):
Maybe not? We could put that up to the the
tweeters to the show tonight at Stinking Genius One. I'm
a Plank show. Everyone go follow us at Fox Sports Radio.
I don't know, maybe that's depending on your region, right,
If you're in you know, the northern part. You're in
the Cleveland area, you're in the Ohio area, you're in
that central time central Eastern times under share. Maybe you

(01:22:31):
see Moore as Cleveland in LA. I always kind of
thought it'd be Cleveland and Miami because he is kind
of despised by LA fans because they didn't do more.
I mean, we were fighting to get in the play
and we the Lakers word to get in the play
in with Lebron for a majority of his career here,
you know, really truly, honestly, they were. They were a
playing team with him.

Speaker 5 (01:22:52):
The people in Miami don't even remember they have a
basketball team, to be honest with.

Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
Well, now they do that. They got youngest, So you're
not with me. You don't think he can go to
fit And that would be a place to kind of
put an exclamation point. Hey, you've done it everywhere you've gone.
Let's go bring a championship art. Let's try too to
the city of Brotherly.

Speaker 5 (01:23:08):
I think it could certainly be a piece of the puzzle.
We'll bring a championship in Philadelphia, no doubt about it. Yes,
I totally agree with you. There probably a lot better
opportunity than trying to win it in Golden State. To
be honest, in Cleveland, he's not going to win another one.
Forget about it.

Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
Twenty four laps to go. We have a NASCAR race
that is still going on. I don't well, knock on wood.
I don't think it's gonna make it to the Ben
Mallor Show. We'll see.

Speaker 5 (01:23:36):
But with that pitch Wallace, who's winning bubble.

Speaker 2 (01:23:40):
Waltz, Well now he's not anymore. As soon as you
picked him, he fell behind Ryan Blane. But Bubba Wallace
is battling with Ryan Blaney, Carson Jose Ar. It's a
great finish coming up with twenty three laps to go
at Echo Park Speedway is live. They had a three
hour plus rain delay, lightning delay that led to track

(01:24:00):
trying and now they're finally getting things wrapped up. All right,
we're getting things wrapped up, Arnie, What are you gonna
pick all?

Speaker 5 (01:24:06):
There's tons of stuff. I gotta pick up Home run contest.
I'm gonna pick the All Star Game, and I got
the two soccer games.

Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
Now you do have a little bit out there. I
misjudged my bat And if you missed any of today's show,

Speaker 1 (01:24:42):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:24:46):
I can't believe there's still a NASCAR race going on.

Speaker 5 (01:24:50):
I'm sich slow lay time stuff. You know? Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
Absolutely? Ryan Blaney leads Carson Hoosovar, Christopher Bell, and Bubba
Wallace collapse to go. Who are you picking? Arnie? Who
are you going with?

Speaker 5 (01:25:04):
I'm gonna go with Blainey. I think that was my pick.

Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
He's been dominant all night. I'm gonna take well. Hus
of R and Christopher Bell have beef, so they'll probably
wreck each other with fifteen to go, give me, give
me Denny Hamlin, who's currently sitting ninth. I think there's
gonna be some carnage here.

Speaker 5 (01:25:26):
Over the last few year, we had this every time
we did the show. You would love this, huh?

Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
I love Well, here's the funny thing is today, I'm
not even kidding. I love Nascar. I don't watch it
as much. It's just my guys have all retired, and
I love listening to Dale Junior. So I actually had
some time and I was gonna sit and watch the race,
and I started watching it, and then it had the
rain delay and I lost track and started getting ready
for the show. So it might be about the top

(01:25:51):
five most excited I've ever been for the final thirty
minutes of the show because I have this NASCAR race
going on and it's been a good one so far.
We have a lot of tweets to get to for
the show. But is there anything that I missed on
the Roman Numeral Rundown. No, desperately wanted to get.

Speaker 5 (01:26:06):
To one thing I didn't put on the Roman Numeral Rundown.
I don't have it in front of me anymore. But
they're saying that Shoe a Otane had the best first
half of a season.

Speaker 2 (01:26:20):
I've got it right here.

Speaker 4 (01:26:21):
You sent it to me in the history of Major
League Baseball?

Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
Is that yep an two ops, twenty two home runs,
fifty eight runs bad at him. He also has a
one point seventy nine ERA with ninety five strikeouts and
a whip a point nine.

Speaker 5 (01:26:41):
So it's actually the combination of both, because his hitting
does not warrant that type of.

Speaker 4 (01:26:50):
You know, credibility, and the pitching alone doesn't either.

Speaker 5 (01:26:53):
But together then I'm making one of the most incredible
first halves of the history.

Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
I don't think that's a bad way to look at it.
It's been pretty incredible. Now they've lost three games in
a row, so I mean, we might be looking at
a coaching change, but no, in all seriousness, it's you know,
we are seeing greatness.

Speaker 5 (01:27:11):
I don't remember to realize that. We know. People don't
because if this is really one of the most incredible
first halves in baseball history. But yet, how many shows
are bringing this up? How many shouldn't it be round
the clock coverage? Shouldn't this be should wait? Shouldn't this
warrant the same type of coverage when Maguire and Sosa

(01:27:34):
were going for the home runs and they cut in
with every bad I mean, wouldn't you shouldn't you get
the same type of coverage?

Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
Or not? Really? I don't know what's what's what record
is he breaking? Right?

Speaker 5 (01:27:44):
He's not breaking a record, but he's having a phenomenal greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:27:48):
You know, Aaron Judge whenever he was breaking the American
League record, remember they broke in And if he can
get close to some sort of mark, some sort of record,
that I'm all about it. But it is kind of
wild to see how just impressive and how good he's been.

Speaker 5 (01:28:04):
He's not going to break the home run the RBI
is hack Wilson Rights, He's not going to.

Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
Break any records, but is he is putting together one
of the most dominant first halfs that we've ever seen.
By the way, my pick to win it has now
dropped completely out of the top ten. So I don't
think Denny Hamlin is going to get it done for me.
Your pick is in the lead with nine laps to go.

Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
I'm mister Nascar, Well that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Do you even know where they're racing?

Speaker 5 (01:28:30):
No? Well, Atlanta?

Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
Yeah, there you go. It's close enough for me to
the ex submissions to the show tonight, Doug Rights. I've
been living in South Korea for twenty five years, where
soccer is practically a national religion. The moment the national
team was eliminated, it was like someone hit control alt

(01:28:53):
delete World Cup banners, ads and hype disappeared faster than
free samples that costs go Oh, so Costco does the
same thing Sam's does, Right, it's just when no one's
buying them, they're done with them. Jason, Maybe Kawhi to
the Raptors can be added to the list next year,

(01:29:16):
especially if the NBA voids his contract. Now, is that
a possibility that the NBA and all of this could
end up avoiding his contract or do we really even
know what the NBA's potential penalty could be here?

Speaker 5 (01:29:28):
Well, if there's going to be something that's going to
hurt Toronto, I'm not making the trade at all. So
that's the same as voiding the trade they're making. They're
handcuffing Toronto. Who's going to make that deal if there's
going to be extra implications on top of the trade.

Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
You know, I found this very interesting. You haven't brought
this up tonight. Yeah, Johnny mentioned it very early in
the show, and I'm a little bit disappointed that you
didn't want to talk about it more. Johnny writes, I
lost twenty five bucks on that con McGregor to backle. Well,
good for you, it was only twenty five bucks. There
was a lot more money loss than that on Connor McGregor.

Speaker 5 (01:30:06):
But I'm I'm starting to see conspiracy theories that he
did know that he had any problem before the start
of the fight.

Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
You know, big crash, Kyle Larson in the wall lookout
goes back up the track, takes out Ty Dylan two
six laps to go. We're under caution right now at
Echo Park Speedway. Oh no, got the nineteen card two
so three. Oh it got the thirty three car as well.
So it looks like four to five cars involved in

(01:30:35):
this wreck. We'll have a green white checker for the
finish here tonight in Atlanta. Maybe this race will be
going on during the Ben Mallory show. Maybe I shouldn't
have said anything with that. What were we talking about,
the McGregor thing, the McGregor think.

Speaker 4 (01:30:51):
Yeah, there was conspiracy theory.

Speaker 5 (01:30:52):
Daddiecchi was going to a not an urgent care but
one of those medical facilities, like four days before the
started the fight.

Speaker 3 (01:31:01):
And is that a fake video of him before he
stepped in the ring. No, Vince Vaughan, Okay, I watched
that like twelve times. Yeah, I think when you're reading lips,
this is a hot take from a sideline report.

Speaker 4 (01:31:15):
Well, tell me what it was.

Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
Vince vaugh and Mel Gibson. We're talking and someone had
tweeted and said, hey, mel Gibson told him that Connor
McGregor's knee is messed up. And Vince Vaughn goes what
and he goes, yeah, I watch his knees messed up.
I think sometimes when you tell someone it's like, yeah,
that's what they're saying, and you read their lips and
it's not the Mandela effect but whatever like that, you

(01:31:40):
suddenly look at right. I don't think that's what mel
Gibson said to him. I've watched it like five times.
I don't think he says his knees messed up. I
don't think he says that. But now that everyone is like, oh,
that's what I said. He said it right. Then all
of a sudden you're looking at it's like you like it.
To me, I thought it was for sure night power.
So I don't know if the power suggestion like you

(01:32:02):
brought up is in on that. I'm a Connor fan.
I like watching him. I think he's great for the sport.
I don't think he's gonna fight ever again. No, I
don't think there's a conspiracy here. I think he's hurt himself, right,
and he hurt himself trying to do something crazy to
start the fight. And you know, I know everyone looks

(01:32:24):
at it's like, oh, look he's taking his shoe off
and he's barely on one foot. Well you go outside
and try to take off one foot of your shoe
and watch you stumble around a little bit. I mean,
I just I don't think there was anything in his
gait and his walk. It just it sucks, and you
had the It was unfortunate for Dana White and all
of UFC, but it's the game, man. You had Patty

(01:32:46):
choke out a dude in like one minute, and then
you had a fight that didn't even last thirty seconds.
So I hate it foreverone. I bought tickets. I'm glad
it wasn't a paper.

Speaker 5 (01:32:54):
Yeah. I heard people bringing up on Twitter, what was
the most disappointing sporting event? Was it mcconnor McGregor lasting
one minute out? There?

Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
Was it.

Speaker 4 (01:33:05):
Aaron Rodgers debut?

Speaker 5 (01:33:07):
Is and chet that was? What?

Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
Four plays?

Speaker 5 (01:33:10):
Is that? What? That?

Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
Yeah? That was?

Speaker 5 (01:33:11):
It?

Speaker 9 (01:33:12):
Was it?

Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
What Mike Tyson and Michael Spinks was that the was
that the super hyped up fight that everyone was all
fired up about.

Speaker 5 (01:33:21):
Last very well, I can't remember what it was.

Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
It was the ear byte. One was an embarrassing moment
for for boxing as well. But I don't mean this
is this is up there in one of the most
embarrassing moments, right. I mean, I hate to say it
because I'm a big UFC supporter, and I mean, they're
coming to town next week and I'm still working on
those free tickets stay in white. But I gotta tell
you something, man, It's just it's that sport, right. Sometimes

(01:33:45):
you're gonna get guys that get hurt, get knocked out,
whatever it takes. And just I mean, is it terrible
for me to say wrong kind of a wrong move
at the wrong time and you're old and it's just
your your leg gave out on you. I know that's
not the right way to go. A conspiracy video.

Speaker 4 (01:34:02):
Of him walking into some urgent care type plays or.

Speaker 2 (01:34:05):
I did not see it. I didn't see that. I
saw him leaving the fight, like literally walking out of
the arena, stealing his steal in his trunks and walk
into his car, and he had a you could tell
he messed up his knee. But I mean, they're trying
to say what Then he went to the doctor before
the fight.

Speaker 4 (01:34:22):
He went to four days.

Speaker 5 (01:34:24):
There's a video of him walking into some medical facility
to have his knee looked at. But I mean, I
don't know how much of that is true.

Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
It's hard to know what's real and what isn't. Sean
though anyway, No, I don't believe anything Sean. Sean did
have this shady Sean before he quit the show tonight
because of you Warnie. The whole thing was scripted. There's
no way after being off for five years that you're
going to beat an active fighter. He walked and injured.

(01:34:53):
It was such a joke, so he ww eat it.
That's the reason he threw that kick to start the fight,
because he knew his knee was toasted.

Speaker 10 (01:35:03):
Was it was?

Speaker 3 (01:35:04):
It?

Speaker 4 (01:35:04):
Has it been five years? It's been that long.

Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
Gotta remember, man, it's spent a little time in jail,
had a couple of issues. It took place, So yeah,
it's been a while since we've seen Conomy Gregor.

Speaker 5 (01:35:13):
You know, Jerome Bettis tells a great story like that
that he came into training camp and he was really hurt.
He had a messed up knee, and he wasn't you know,
if he had to mess up the they weren't going
to keep him right. So in the first day of
practice he took the handoff, immediately went down and clutched
his knee, so they would be on the hook for all.

Speaker 2 (01:35:33):
The pretty smooth if he can get away with it.

Speaker 4 (01:35:38):
Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:35:39):
And then finally to your point that the fans today
aren't as good as the fans of our day. Yes,
Jason writes, I will always remember waiting until Friday morning
to buy the USA Today Baseball weekly to figure out
how my Dodgers did the week before and my fantasy
Baseball league results for the Week's.

Speaker 5 (01:35:58):
Another thing, see Chris, that's another thing. Forget about the games. Actually,
I mean people my age or maybe a little bit younger,
we still remember the times where we'd have to go
to the newspaper and we would sit at the breakfast table.

Speaker 4 (01:36:13):
It could take you an.

Speaker 5 (01:36:14):
Hour to read the sports page, you know that, right,
And you're looking at all the box scores because you
didn't watch the games. You look, you got to year
one game, you know, Look, you got to hear one game,
except for my dad's little transistor radio that got every
radio station in the world for some I don't know
how that was possible, but he I mean you you
didn't You didn't know, so you were reading the box

(01:36:36):
scores and you know that's all at the breakfast table,
and that's what you talked about.

Speaker 2 (01:36:41):
Hey, one more here. That just came in to rub
it into you a little bit. Yeah, Chris writes FS
Fox Sports Radio Zone. Steve Hartman used to drive the
Long Beach Celebrity Grand Prix, a Grand Prix for many years.

Speaker 4 (01:36:52):
Oh get they let Hartman in and not me.

Speaker 2 (01:36:55):
Hartman got in before you, Arnie.

Speaker 5 (01:36:57):
I never get anything, man, I never get voted than anything.

Speaker 2 (01:37:01):
We gotta work on that for you, all right when
we come back. He claims he has a lot of picks,
so it has me excited. We are in overtime. I
cannot believe there's still a NASCAR race going on, but
I'm so happy about it. Carson Hosovar has the lead
over Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, and Shane Van Gisbergen.

(01:37:21):
Those are your top five in overtime
