Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yes, I was. I was very nervous today. That was mighty.
Did you find a feed? Finally?

Speaker 1 (00:16):
No?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I did not. No, I did not.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
And by the what I had that you had given
me was like so far behind that. You know if
you saw it on the red zone or your follow
along on your phone, well, yeah, way by play.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I just couldn't do that.

Speaker 5 (00:32):
That's that's what happens when you have to stream something,
aren't he No, No, I can't behind. Yeah, I can't

(00:55):
Now we're recapping Week eleven. We've got a big week
of college football. I mean you were talking about the
game for playoff positioning between Ohio State and Michigan.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Will get to oh I would give anything, by the way,
for Oregon State to upset or.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
I give any you gotta shot. There's a good team,
that's a good football team. Why not come on? If
if the game was a core valas, that's one thing.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
But the games in Eugene and that that Oregon offense,
it's just too much. It's they're a fourteen point favorite.
I just it's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
We could see our teams play each other in the
bowl game, though.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
I told you, Oklahoma Arizona, We're gonna have to put
a big bet on that.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
But the funny thing is, whenever it was projected, you
told me.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
I told you. I said they're gonna go to a
bigger bowl than the Alimo Bowl. And I think we're right.
So we'll see how they finished things off this week.
Just don't lose Arizona State, Okay, Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
No, we're gonna kick the crap out of that. Please, no, man,
we don't do for a letdown.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Things.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Things are like really cooking right now for you, So
you kind of curse your teams.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
My sports world has never been better, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
On Vikings, my basketball team, my football team, my Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I haven't I need to hear the Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Squeal a lot more on the on the sound effect.
We need to play that like every two minutes.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
No, no, that'll be Thursday night for you here on
Fox Sports Radio. It'll be all Dolphins Radio all the time.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
We like an ever.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Timer and you FRep it over and every time it
runs out, you play the Dolphins sound effect.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
Well, let's real quick catch up on what's going on
on Sunday Night football. It's actually been a pretty fun
game twenty to fifteen. The Vikings leaded as the pastronaut
Josh Dobbs continues to do good things. But Minnesota, I
agree with what Kyle Rudolph said. They couldn't care less
about the running game. They could not care less about
trying to run the football. They've struggled there tonight, and

(02:47):
now Russell Wilson has a chance with three seventeen left
to potentially take the Broncos down and win this football game.
And I'm gonna give you kudos again, aren't you? Of
the Vikings can hold on here? Suddenly the Detroit Lions listen,
they want today, right, you don't want to take anything
away from a win.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
But they look a little vulnerable, right, just like the
Dolphins vulnerable.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
The next thing, you know, you kind of start looking
at the schedule for the Vikings. You know, they're a
talented team. They're gonna get justin Jefferson back. I know
it's a two game cushion right now, but you would
declare them NFC North champions before the season started. I'm
not saying that it's too far removed from from a possibility.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Now. They got a hold on here, right right.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Absolutely, they got a hold on here, but it's it's
still a division that I think is up for grabs.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
I don't know who gets the tiebreaker. I mean, who
knows what happens by the time it gets something like that.
And I can't believe they've done it without Jefferson. Once
Jefferson went down, im my, well this is over that.
You're not gonna it's been one of those years for them.
And then of course Cousins goes down and forget about it.
It's just not going to happen. Then I forgot what
other quarterback went down after Cousins to get Dobbs in there.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Oh it was it was the hill kid from byu
g Not.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Somebody went down. I'm s I've lost track there, Chris.
I'm sorry. So many people have gone out and then
to throw Dobbs in there and they're still there, and
the think of things that if they win this, remember
we do our segment who saved the season?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Who who's out of it? I'm telling you now, they're
saving their season right now. You know.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
I hate to start right off the top with one
of our bits that we usually have a little bit
later in the program, but before I before we hit
what we learned during the week, before Todd Furhman joins us,
and before we do kind of a rapid fire through
all the games here on the next segment, Can I
put the Bills on the list of a team that
saved their season today?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I mean not they lost. You were ready to write
them off? Well I was. I wrote them off last week.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
So just knowing how knee jerky we are here on
Fox Sports Radio every single Sunday night, I kind of
liked what I saw and I'm not I don't think
Joe Brady is the secret sauce their new offensive coordinator
who took over for Ken Dorsey. And it was still
ugly in the first half, but that's a good Jets
defense and they absolutely pulled away from them today.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
They still got problems Chris's not arguing problems out there.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
You're right. They did what I thought they were gonna do.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
I took the Bills, laid the points on that one,
and everybody thought maybe this was going to be a
closer game.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
They looked better.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
They did put thirty two points on the board, but
they're far from like a well oiled machine right now,
and they're not even in the playoffs and they're two
games behind, and the loss calm against the Dolphins. Dolphins
schedule's fairly easy, and I believe to finish out the season.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
They have four of their last five games at home.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
And when you have to cut down the travel, especially
in the in the winter months, it certainly helps you
out there, you know well.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
And then you just to go ahead and add to it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
You know.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
One thing that caught my eye today, and I'm not
trying to be overly overly insider issue whenever it comes
to the Buffalo Bills and trying to say they save
their season or anything, but the thirty two points were
the most points scored against the Jets, who are the
sixth ranked defense in the country. Sorry college football talk

(06:00):
in the NFL. And then they used James Cook a
lot more today, and I think that's something they needed
to do. Seventeen carries, seventy three yards, I had three catches,
had a big touchdown reception. I don't know, man, I
think that's a talented roster. I'm not here to tell you,
by any stretch of the imagination that suddenly they're going
to go on a run, because they've got a very

(06:21):
difficult schedule coming up. But I just I'm not ready
to count them out.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
What if they finished about five hundred or let's say
they finish an eight nine and season, are we so
still get the mirror and say we were wrong about
chess Allen and that he never deserved that big contract
or what.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I don't know. That's going to be tough because.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
You can't go wait nine and have that type of money.
You just can't do it there.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Well, but it happens all over the National Football League.
Though she doesn't make it right though, But yes.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Right, I agree, we're not. I don't.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
I'm not arguing with you on this front. It's just right, Okay,
let me. This is what I've been struggling with all day.
And I started to do research, and I got bored,
and then I started and again. Then I got bored,
and I'm like, you know what part he doesn't care
about numbers or research, Just throw a hot take out there.
I feel like I ask this a lot, so help
me better understand it. What is going on with the
offenses and the quarterback play in the NFL. It's just

(07:13):
no one can stay healthy. Number one, Right, we had
with a Joe Burrow injury on Thursday. Right, so you
at Aaron Rodgers to start this season. Deshaun Watson hasn't
necessarily been playing that well, but he's done for the year.
Kirk Cousins, Daniel Jones, Anthony Richardson, now you throw Now
you throw Joe Burrow into it. I mean, is it
just guys can't stay healthy? Is it things are too

(07:35):
easy in college and they make it too simple, and
then when they get to the NFL we try to
complicate it too much. Or is it just the defenses
are that good? I don't know, because I watched a
lot of abysmal offen Yes, I watched the Chiefs. I
watched the Dolphins Traiders game today. I saw a really
bad offense in the Silver and Black. But I think
it's quarterback play. Arnie so what in the world is
going on with the quarterback?

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Well, first of all, if you want to start, why
there's so many injuries quarterbacks so holding on to the
ball way too long. They need to take a page
out of Tom Brady's book and get rid of that ball,
otherwise they're gonna.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Be hit over and over again too.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
A lot of quarterbacks like to get out of that pocket,
run a little bit, and scramble a little bit. Once
you get out of that pocket, you got the ball,
anything's good to go. It's all game out there, and
it only takes is one not even one good shot,
but even a half lousy shot, and it's gonna go
ahead and knock you out.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
That's the start. As for what's going on with the
quarterback play.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Why is there seemingly seems like what a lot more
unders than overs?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
If that's your question out.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Here last, I just mean in general, I just I
feel like I feel like we're just seeing really poor
quarterback play. Let me let me give you an example
real quick. Uh, think about the Pittsburgh Cleveland game today? Yeah, gross, right,
Pittsburgh averaged four point four yards per play, Cleveland average
three point five yard.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
You had a rookie quarterback right yards yard.

Speaker 5 (08:53):
Well, you had a rookie quarterback and a second year
quarterback and one of them was a first round pick.
Yards per pass Pittsburgh two point five, Cleveland three point seven.
I don't care if you're a rookie or second year player, Arnie,
when your average yards per pass isn't even five yards, right,
I mean, what are we doing right now? Do you
see the quarterback rating for Zack Wilson? No, okay, it's

(09:17):
one of the lowest of the season that we've had
today with Zach Wilson. In this quarterback ranking rating, we
had a perfect passer rating, by the way, because.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Brock perty had a perfect passer.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Rating, and the quarterback rating today for Zach Wilson was
like nine nine.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Geez n If he's going to start on Friday against
the Dolphins, a.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
Perfect passer rating is one fifty eight point three. Zach
Wilson had like a nine and he was like a
top three pick in the draft.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
What are we doing right now? Why does the quarterback play?

Speaker 5 (09:48):
And this is a general comment so I know you
can come back to me and say, well, joshall look
pretty good today. And Dak Prescott's cooking and Tua did
two of thing's yardage wise, But Arnie, I just I
don't know. To me, I'm always gonna point the finger
and blame and praise the quarterback. I just feel like
we're getting god awful quarterback play this year. We are
getting horrible a quarterback play. And then people can say, well,

(10:09):
you don't have enough weapons around you. Well, you look
at Minnesota and they lose their top wide receiver might
be one of the best in the in the world,
and they go ahead win with.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Six in a rower or so at least hopefully six
of the rowers.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
See what happens there, So you could lose weapons and
still be somewhat productive.

Speaker 7 (10:28):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
It all the I mean, it all depends on how.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
The offensive coridors called him or how the how the
play calling is going. And you got an audible too.
I don't know how many times quarterbacks audible. But you
got to do it a lot more when you get
up to the line of scrivage because you have a
better view than the offensive coordinator.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
You know, right before you hike the ball.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
And don't get me wrong, I love the Joshua Dobbs story.
I think it's one of the coolest things that we've
seen in a while in the National Football League, three
teams having the success that he's had. I mean, the
Browns would be in a great spot right now if
they decided to keep him. That might have been in
a good spot if they decided to.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Trade for him.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
But if you go in to next year and Joshua
Dobbs as your starting quarterback to start the season, like,
oh yeah, no, I'm not I'm.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Not down with that right now. I like him, Arnie.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
I think he's a good quarterback, but he's not a
franchise dude right.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
By the way, I think I would pay to see
Dobbs against Fitzpatrick in an SAT contest or something like that.
I'm just thinking about it, But why not, I'd payancy anything.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
I think i'd pity that, you.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Know, so I would not disagree, but I kind of
think i'd take Joshua Dobbs in that.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
To be honest with.

(11:55):
follow us at Fox Sports Radio, Arnie, I wanted to
make one quick college point before you and I hit
every NFL game when we come back. Okay, yep, you
have a spot on the playoff committee right now. You're
in that meeting, You're in that boardroom. That's that's debating
right now, allegedly in Dallas, Texas, and you're fighting about
who goes Where Are you dropping Florida State because of

(12:17):
the Jordan Travis injury?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Did you notice on my top six I dropped them, Yes,
if that's what you're bringing up, I put in Washington.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
I didn't even look at your run now them.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
So but oh that's okay. Oh I spent hours and
hours upon hours doing well, yeah, you spend hours. You
sent it to me at seven am and it's like
not much here. I'm like, okay, great, I've got tons
of kids. He I think Washington. I put them at
number four though they didn't have a great win.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Don't care. It's the top ten win man.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Right exactly, they had a good win. So yes, I
have Washington at number four, Florida State at number five.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
I think it's going to be very fascinating to see
which tacked the committee takes. Now again, the rankings won't
come out until Tuesday, right right, And the top six,
actually the top eight had remained unchanged for the better
part of the last couple of weeks until Georgia moved
up to number one last week. But outside of Georgia
to one, in Ohio State to two, aren't he nothing

(13:09):
had changed?

Speaker 4 (13:10):
No, But I see all these polls that come out
on a Sunday, and I know a lot of them
are meaningless. But I don't know if this was a
joke or something. That ESPN had their top twenty five
and I was going through it. Did you see that
or you touchdown Denver?

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (13:27):
One oh three left in the game, Courtland Sutton on
an absolute just stuck from Russell Wilson in the corner
of the end zone, caught it. So with one oh
three yet left, Denver takes the lead. Okay, the ESPN poll,
which one wasn't that you were looking at. I think
it was the Coach's Poll. They didn't have Arizona in
the top twenty five. So I'm like, somebody made.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
A mistake on this. This I don't know if this
was real or what. I go, there's gotta be a
mistake on it. So it was like all screwed up
pole and everybody was arguing about it.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
I've got Arizona at sixteenth in the Coach's poll.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Okay, so I have to find it out and I'll
send it over to you.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Yeah, I got Now, hold on a second, do you
want me to get really triggered, because if you're talking
about the Football Power Index rankings, that's the dumbest thing
in the history of ever. So let me give you
an idea of how dumb the FPI truly is. That's
exactly what it is, because they right now, the FPI

(14:22):
currently has Penn State as the sixth ranked team in
the country. Right I head of teams like Florida State,
who is undefeated in Washington, Washington is thirteenth. The FPI
is a predictive index. And every time I make fun
of math nerds always tell me I don't get you
just don't get it.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
I'm like, Okay, I guess it's not the.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
One that didn't have Arizona the top twenty five.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
Is that that's the one that currently has Arizona twenty
six and USC is twenty first.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, okay, that was it. I'm like, this is this
is a screw up pole.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
Clympson is eighteenth. Yeah, don't don't. Don't get caught up
in the nerds poll. That's the way I put it.
It's it's and every time I'm like, this makes no sense.
It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life.
And literally everyone and argues with You're like, well, you know,
it's it's a predictive index. I'm like, I don't care
any predictive index. It has a two loss team ahead
of an undefeated team that's a Power five conference, if

(15:10):
Power five even still exists, Arnie, that is dumb.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
You.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
By the way, what are you gonna do to the
loser of Ohio State Michigan?

Speaker 3 (15:18):
They're out?

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Don't you think that was real quick for you?

Speaker 7 (15:23):
No?

Speaker 5 (15:23):
Well, and again, let me give a couple of disclaimers
here real quick, and I'm starting with college football because
we're watching the end of this game, and we're probably
not going to get a chance to revisit again tonight.
It depends on what happens around you.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
I think.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
I think George is just a wagon again. But if
Alabama beats them, Arnie, you gotta put Alabama in, Especially
if they go in as just a one loss team,
Oregon will probably eliminate Washington.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Right.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
So just my opinion, and again I've been wrong a
lot on some of these things with the playoff committee.
I think Arnie that whoever loses Ohio State Michigan is out.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
I thought you were gonna say, and this is my opinion.
If Michigan loses, they'll be out. I'm not so sure.
If Ohio State loses, well, yeah, they'll be out.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
Right now, Ohio State has the better chance to survive
a loss than Michigan does.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
A great plus. Everybody's anti Michigan also because what's.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
Going on, you know, yeah, and their schedule is just
not where it needs to be. So I agree with you,
though I'm glad you felt that same way. It's not
necessarily punishing Florida State for the injury. It's giving Washington
its flowers for a win over at top eleven team.
And then also, I mean, let's face it, it's not
like Florida State pulled away from or at least wasn't
struggling with wasn't Northern Kentucky or Northern Alabama or Alabama

(16:42):
or something like that. So yeah, and why are we
playing those games this late in the season, Belie? All Right,
when we come back, we've got a lot of games
to recap, so we'll hit all of them, and we're
heading down for a dramatic finish in Din for a
minute three to go in the game. Broncos twenty one,
Minnesota twenty The Vikings Joshua Dobbs have the football at
their own twenty five yard line, a minute ten lap

(17:05):
all three of their timeouts. We'll get you caught up
when we come back. Fox Sports Radio has the best

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Oh, it's all over, but the celebration, it's over.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
It's over.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
Denver beats Minnesota twenty one to twenty after the pastronaut
Josh Dobbs unable to work some Minnesota magic and as
we come to you tonight from the Tirack dot Com studios,
Arnie is Dinver good.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yes they're good.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Did we write them off and said their season was
over when they were one and five?

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Or well, do you get something like that? Your Dolphins
put seventy on them for goodness sakes. So the pastronauts.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
No longer do we have to call them Mike, He's
like more capricordn won.

Speaker 5 (19:02):
They've won four straight games for the first time in
eight seasons. Math Math is hard seven Season seven. It's
not twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Wait of it. You didn't like that CAPRICORDN one joke.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
It completely went over my head because I was trying
to read something.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Don't remember don't you remember the movie with OJ Simpson
when he was an astronaut. He was on Capricordon one,
but they never got to go to the Moon or Mars,
and they pulled them out of the spaceship and they
faked it.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
Now, first of all, first of all, I apologize for
not knowing the nineteen seventy seven sci fi thriller Capricorn One,
because I only knew O. J. Simpson is an actor
as Lieutenant Nordberg. So I apologize.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
There you go, Capricornill I forget it. Well, it works
because it is a space vehicle, right, that's true.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
You know, it's kind of wild. I heard someone say
it this week. I think it was a PFT commentator
and our commentary excuse me, and he said he said
the in the hunt graphic is an incredible drug for
football fans, and I'm that way. I love whenever I
look up there and I see my team in the
hunt still right, they might be under five hundred, But

(20:14):
in the AFC, it's so funny, aren't he? Because as
this show has, you know, obviously grown throughout the season
and progressed and gone back and forth with our opinions
on things, we were always joking, oh man, it's gonna
be it's gonna be tough to get into the playoffs
in the AFC because you looks like you're gonna have
to be at the very least like ten and seven,
maybe eleven and six. The seventh spot in the playoffs

(20:38):
right now for the AFC is a six and four
football team that doesn't have an offense, right Pittsburgh Steelers,
And you.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Might have to be nine and eight yards or ten
and seven to get on into the last spot.

Speaker 5 (20:48):
Yeah, I mean, it's it's not necessarily insurmountable right now.
And look who's right there knocking on the door. The
Denver Broncos, which, by the way, right there with the
Indianapolis Colts too, another team that we tried to ride
off raiders, are there at five and six.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
Today, you had every opportunity, uh to pull that game
out to.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
A fumbled Let's start this, Let's start there. God, Dolphins
beat the Raiders twenty thirteen. Taken away, what you see?
What you what you think of it?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
I thought the Dolphins looked sloppy. They had Raiders defense.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Well, the Raiders did play good defense.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
But the Dolphins had an interception, they had a fumble,
they had a second fumble. I can't remember, off the
top of my head who else fumbled the ball. It
might have been Mozert. I'm not sure it was. Okay,
so there you I mean, that's the three.

Speaker 10 (21:34):
I know.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
I'm sorry it was Hill.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
It was Hill, Jillian, Okay, that's the three. Off the
top of my head, I remember. I don't know if
they lost fumble and he threw an interception.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
Okay, So there was three some timely penalties out there.
And remember it wasn't like they punted a whole heck
of a lot. They missed two field goals. I don't
know how many fifty yarders are field goal kickers going
to miss.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
But he's just driving me crazy.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
Dolphins did move the ball, but they to put up
more than twenty points on the board. The Raiders offense,
they you know, had a few big plays, but O'Connell
just couldn't keep consistent and you know, it was just
too much for him. But they Raiders could have easily
put more than thirteen points.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
On the board.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
And that touchdown pasted to Adams was more Adams, you know,
putting distance between him and the defender to catch that ball.
And it was a mix up of the Dolphins secondary
which got in the touchdown. Otherwise the Raiders might not scored. Yeah,
did not do a good job. They should have done
a better job offensively.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
You know, the Dolphins racked up four hundred and twenty
two yards of offense. They averaged six point two yards
per play. Two was over three hundred yards passing. But
the three turnovers, the two fumbles, the one interception. The
Raiders turn the ball over two times as well. You're
welcome and Vegas is inability to get the running game
going right. I mean, I know you don't like to

(22:52):
give assistant coaches or coordinators any credit, none whatsoever. But
the adjustments that Miami made after the Raiders scripted what
are you script the first twenty plays? The adjustments the
Dolphins made were just too much. I mean the Raiders
weren't moving the football in the first quarter. I mean
they were moving the football, and you're right, Adams made
an incredible play, but they were still moving the football

(23:13):
right and then the bottom just fell out. So kudos
to your Dolphins. They're seven and three. They're gonna be
eight and three because the Jets are a disaster right now.
After they went on Black Friday. You gotta be feeling
pretty good. You played terrible today and still won the
game by a score. Very doable schedule. They get the
Jets twice, they have Buffalo, they have Dallas.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Like I said, four their five last games of the
year are all at home, so you've cut out on
the travel.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
You're playing some five hundred teams.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
I think Washington's one of the teams after the Jets game.
So it's it's a very very light schedule, to say
the least. Plus they have a two game lead over
the Buffalo Bills in the lost column. They get Buffalo
at home the second time around, and the Bills it's
not like the Bills are playing great football anyway, so
it's things are looking up until Tyreek Tyreek Kill got

(24:01):
heard in the game today and almost started to cry.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
When do you go up the field today?

Speaker 5 (24:04):
Though there are seven games left in the season. Seven
games left in the season as of right now, you
only have three of those against teams with a winning record.
That's's and and and one of those teams is six
and five. And the only reason Buffalo has a winning
record is because they beat the Jets today. So yeah,
you're in really good show.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
You sure they have? Dallas is the other And who's who's.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
The third the third team?

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Baltimore. Oh, that's right, Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
That's good Baltimore.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
Just real quick in order at the Jets next week,
followed by that trip to Washington, at Tennessee, then a
game with the Jet. By the way, Tennessee is terrible. Oh,
I apologize the Tennessee games at home game, then you're
home for the Jets, then you're home for the Cowboys,
in at Baltimore, and home for Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
So you're a good shape, man.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Verge of shape. I'm feeling good. We're on our way,
even though we're a number four seed. I gotta somehow
figure out to get that number one seed.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
We'll let the Raiders be the chiefs. Next week and
you'll be in good.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Let the Chiefs lose tomorrow, right to Philadelphia.

Speaker 5 (24:59):
I don't know, man, that's gonna be a fun football game.
We'll preview Monday Night football. All right, that's one of
many more games we'll look back on Sunday Night Football,
plus talk about the early slate.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
First.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
There he is Steve de Seger in tonight with a
look at what's going on in the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Steve?

Speaker 4 (25:15):
I gave him Thanksgiving off, so he should be happy
with me.

Speaker 11 (25:18):
I asked for it, but okay.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Of course ask for did you got it off? There
you go.

Speaker 11 (25:22):
I'd never talk to you about these things.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
I get the eat.

Speaker 11 (25:25):
I only talk to people with power.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (25:28):
By the way, you were talking about the Raiders, They've
been held under twenty points nine times in the eleven
games this season, which.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
That sounds bad.

Speaker 8 (25:35):
Steve ties the Raiders record all time at this point
in the season nine of your first eleven.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (25:42):
Miami beat Las Vegas twenty to thirteen, Dolphins five and
zero at home, seven and three overall. Running Back de
von A Chain just off injured reserve left early landed
on the same knee. Raheem mostered twenty two carries eighty
six yards.

Speaker 11 (25:56):
Okay to the.

Speaker 8 (25:57):
Game at Denver Tonight, the Broncos won their fourth in
a row twenty one to twenty over the Minnesota Vikings,
ending Minnesota's five game winning streak. Denver one without much
offense for much of the game, but a touchdown pass
with about a minute to go, a leaping grab by
Cortland Sutton back at the end zone got him the
lead and then they held on at the end Josh

(26:17):
Dobbs and the loss two touchdowns, two turnovers. Broncos were
five for five on field goals. Linebacker Alex Singleton sixteen
tackles in this victory. So yes, the Broncos are not
out of the playoff chase in the AFC. Their next
four games are against Cleveland, at Houston, at the Chargers,
and at Detroit. This Thursday, Thanksgiving on Fox TV, the

(26:40):
Lions at eight and two will be hosting the Packers.
Detroit was a winner at home and come back fashion
over Chicago today thirty one twenty six with two late touchdowns.
Green Bay won its home game against the Chargers twenty
three to twenty on a touchdown pass with about two
and a half minutes to go. Thanksgiving Night, by the way,
San Francisco at Seattle. The Niners at seven and three,

(27:00):
now a game ahead of Seattle in the Division. San
Francisco beat Tampa Bay twenty seven to fourteen, while Seattle
blew a fourth quarter lead and lost in La to
the Rams seventeen to sixteen on a short field goal
with about a minute and a half to go. Buffalo
ripped the Jets thirty two to six. Josh Allen three
touchdown passes Bills at Philadelphia. Next Sunday, Cleveland thirteen to ten.

(27:22):
Over Pittsburgh got a field goal in the final seconds,
and the Browns will sign veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to
their practice squad.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Why am geez, he's.

Speaker 11 (27:32):
Got rated short list?

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Still good quarterbacks left? They're all hurt.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
I think we've discussed this in segment one. Tonight, Dallas
got seven sacks from the defense and beat Bryce Young
at Carolina thirty three to ten. Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito
was sacked nine times and still won the game at
Washington thirty one to nineteen. Washington was six turnovers in
this defeat. Wins for Houston and Jacksonville each at home

(27:56):
Monday night. Philadelphia is at Kansas City. Chance of rain
for the game, temperatures in the low forties. Eagles tight
in Dallas. Gardard is officially out with his forearm injury.
Syracuse fired football coach Dino Babers. The Phillies re signed
pitcher Aaron Nola to a seven year deal. In the
late NBA game in La, the Lakers have taken the
lead over the Houston Rockets a bat nine minutes to

(28:17):
go eighty eight eighty three Lebron James with twenty six points,
twenty seven for Anthony Davis. Phoenix won in double overtime
at Utah Kevin Durant thirty nine points. Sacramento won at
six game in a row. Boston won at six in
a row. Philadelphia won again. And in college hoops, the
number three ranked Arizona Wildcat We're number one, defeated literally

(28:40):
nightyro Texas Arling tethose my headphones one on one to
fifty six Wildcats. Meanwhile, eighteenth ranked Michigan State in the
wing column beating mighty Alcorn State eighty one forty nine.
Why do I bring this up because on Fox TV Thursday,
college hoops on the holiday Arizona against Michigan State.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Right, thanks Steve, as we come to you live from
the ti rack dot com studios.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
I can't get into college shops yet. I'm trying. Oh
I love it. By the way.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
You know when you have a thirteen or fourteen year
old kid and they want to go to a party
and you say no, one right now? Oh okay, and they
keep asking you, and they keep asking you. He finally
they wear you down and you say, fine, go to
the party. I'm at the point now, would all the
bad quarterback play?

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Fine?

Speaker 4 (29:25):
You keep asking? Sign RG three, Sign up. I want
to see what he could do. You've been begging so
long to get back out there, and the Jensen's side
you fight, get out there. I can't argue with you anymore.
Let me see you get your backside case?

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Is that?

Speaker 5 (29:39):
Is that from the I guess from the category of
I don't think it can be any worse than what not?

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Really? You just signed flacoh so you warm me down? Fine?

Speaker 4 (29:51):
RG three, you want you want to play, come suit up.
Let's let's get you into the I'm starting to believe
that he can't do any words of a job than
what I'm seeing with with Zach Coil, so that's for sure.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Hell I saw Dabbo outrun him before the Clemson game.
I don't know about that. Let's roll through some of
these games again, sending that football just came to a
conclusion that Broncos won at twenty one to twenty. More
on that later, Arnie, what did you make of the
Browns win over the Pittsburgh Steelers today? Kind of felt
like it was Taylor made for a Steelers win.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
Wasn't it they get They were down ten seven, they
tied it up. I thought they were gonna get the touchout.
I thought they were gonna get the go ahead field goal.
Their offense, I mean, you talk about a putrid offense,
especially with a quarterback that you kind of liked before
the start of the season. Actually, I'm not even gonna
pick on you did know because no I did.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
I did.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
I didn't necessarily like their offense. I just like the team, and.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
I told you I'm just not a pay We got
to move on from this guy. Well we if you're
a Pittsburgh fan, you gotta move on. I think you've
seen enough sample size on this. It's not gonna work.
The offense should not be this anemic. They have a
pretty good defense. I don't know how their record is
as good as it is right now, but he just
can't play. You've got to go with another direction for

(31:00):
a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
We'll learn from this.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
We'll do so while absorbing the al because that's what
you're doing, this thing, and we'll be back.

Speaker 5 (31:07):
What a comeback that was, by the way, Mike Tomlin,
Pittsburgh Steelers, I said.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
To the coach after the game, by the way, you
did well, done well me and CHRISA.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Thompson. So I just want to go and throw that
go with it.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
I'm joking, checking out, And he told me they really
wanted to win the game.

Speaker 5 (31:23):
So Lion's thirty one Bears twenty six want a comeback
by Detroit.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
You don't win a lot of games when you.

Speaker 5 (31:29):
Turn the ball interceptions four times, r either three picks.
Here's here's Dan Campbell on the comeback.

Speaker 10 (31:36):
Man.

Speaker 12 (31:36):
I was proud of the guys and the coaches. Nobody
got frazzled. You know, we knew if we could just
get the ball back in our court, we'd get a
stop score. You know, we could get some momentum back.
But man, that's what I was proud of pressure went up,
our heart rate leveled out, like we talk about. So
it's a great job by a number of guys.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
So you sent out your tax day your tweet. Excuse me,
what should we talk about on the show today?

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (32:01):
And I found myself intrigued by something Blue Forever had
to say on this game, he writes, Now all the
pundits will say, what a great comeback for the Lions,
while the Vikings got ripped last year for the same thing.
And his point is, what was it eleven to zero?
Minnesota was in like one score games, and they would
be in games that were close when they shouldn't be,

(32:21):
and they were playing bad teams close. Does Blue Forever
have a point that maybe this is more of an
indication of the vulnerability of the Lions, or do we
credit them for overcoming adversity and winning when they don't
play their best.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
I could do one of those that it could be both.
I mean, let's be I agree, they haven't had this record.
I'm talking about the Lions since before I was born,
to be honest, I mean, it's just it's been a
long time coming for the Lions to play this.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Had they lost to the Bears.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
The first thing I would have says is said was
they are what they thought they are, right, I mean,
they're so great and then they lose to the Chicago
Bears at home. They're not ready to take the next step,
They're not ready to go ahead and go deep into
the playoffs. Blah blah whah. But they turned it around.
They found the way to beat a team they were
much better than. This is how good teams go ahead

(33:09):
and go far in the playoffs. You play, you win,
even when you played badge. I gotta give them credit
for what they did.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
Did Chris, Yeah, and then real quick before we grab
a break. It was not a good day for Brandon
Scaley and the Los Angeles Chargers, who lost again.

Speaker 13 (33:25):
I'm not here to talk to the fan base. I'm
here to talk to my players the locker room. I
know that we give ourselves a chance to win every
single week with the game plans that we have. Okay,
and we have done it.

Speaker 9 (33:35):
Here.

Speaker 13 (33:36):
You guys act like we've never played good defense. That's
not the truth. That's not the truth. You act like
we haven't made any improvements today In the run game,
we played outstanding. We're rushing the quarterback. Well, what we
got to do a better job of is in the
passing game, and that's where our full attention is. It's
where it will continue to be. There were a lot
of other things that caused us to lose today. It
certainly wasn't our defense. It was the way we played
as a team. We didn't play well enough on the

(33:57):
red zone. On offense, we dropped too.

Speaker 11 (34:00):
He passes, Kate. We gave up a few killer sacks, Kate.
We did this as a team.

Speaker 13 (34:04):
Stop making it about one unit, because that's not what
happened out there today. Our team lost and I am
fully responsible for it, and I take full responsibility. But
we lost as a team today, and that's the storyline.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Arnie, I didn't catch that. Did they lose as a
team today? Okay?

Speaker 4 (34:19):
My question would have been, is it inappropriate to be
inappropriate task when Bill Belichick takes over? Is that inappropriate question?
Because if it is, I just won't ask that at
this time right now?

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Thank you?

Speaker 5 (34:29):
Is it gonna be in season? Is it gonna happen now? Yeah,
We've got much much more on the Brandon Staley watch.
But hey, one thing that I did catch from the
Green Bay game ended up seeing quite a bit of this.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
For some unknown reason.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
Jordan Love started to play a little better, starting to
get a little bit more comfortable. Twenty seven of forty today,
three twenty two yards.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Just when you're ready to call him a big bust
and say that he's not, you've seen enough of him
that Actually that's what I said about him.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Hey, the last two weeks. Yeah, the last.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
Two weeks he's been, Really he's been. He went all
that great against Pittsburgh, but.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Against the sixth team the Chargers are, so it's not
like he's doing them against great teams out there. But
it was still a good victory for him, come from
behind and getting him that last touch on you know.

Speaker 5 (35:12):
All right, We'll continue to roll with things that caught
our eye, including who saved their season and whose season
officially came to an end. It's all coming up live
from the tire rack dot Com studios with arnein Plank
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Hey, it's Arnian Plank.

Speaker 5 (35:26):

cash back Debit, Discover bank remember fdi C. Couple of
quick tweets here before we get back to the games
and what we learned today. It's a good point here

(36:06):
for mister Nobody. We were talking about can he Pickett?
He hits us up, Arnie. I don't deny Pickett has
been awful, but part of me wonders what he would
be with an actually good offensive coordinator, one who doesn't
burn through three downs in fourteen seconds in a tie game.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
I don't know. They run the ball a lot.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
What do they just pass it and you know it
just I mean, obviously they go three and out a
lot of times, but it's a lot of us to
go on the quarterback, not just the offensive coordinator.

Speaker 5 (36:35):
Mister Nobody, I am personally offended that you would send
an offensive coordinator or assistant coach question to Arnie's Twitter
feed and not mine. I mean, are you should have
replied to that and said coordinators don't matter exactly exactly,
and then Cowbird rites before the delusional Cowboys fans talk
super Bowl again. Remember all seven victories were against five

(36:57):
hundred or below teams. Yeah, let's hit that Cowboys game.
Your Super Bowl picks looking good right now?

Speaker 2 (37:02):
They are.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
I do wonder because you never know which Cowboy team
that you're gonna gohead and get out there for a while.
This was somewhat of a close game. I think it
was seventeen to ten going into the fourth. The Cowboys
were able to pull away. After that they got the
pick six, which put a little distance from them. It
wasn't a great windk Prescott just maybe a C plus

(37:24):
he I didn't think he had a great game at all.
But still Cowboys win. You know, like I said, good
teams find a way to win when they don't play their.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Best, and that's what they did.

Speaker 5 (37:33):
It's kind of wild because that's how I've been dogging
you and your Dolphins. Is that well, I mean, you
haven't beat a team over five hundred. Yet this actually what, No,
you haven't beat a team over five hundred this year.
I have a majority of the league. I feel like
it's under five hundred or at five hundred right now.
I mean, it's just for all the good that we have,
right for how good of a story's been for Detroit,

(37:55):
For how fun it's been to see the Dolphins doing
what they're doing with their offense. Did I mention the
Eagles at eight and one right now back to back seasons? Yeah,
you know they're literally I mean, the the NFC South
has three of their four teams under five hundred. Half
of the NFC West is under five hundred. Half of
the NFC North is under five hundred. Same thing for

(38:16):
the East. Three of the four teams in the AFC
West are under five hundred. I mean it's hardy. I mean,
we'll get some pretty bad football teams out there, so
it's almost, I don't want to say unfair, but you
beat the team in front of you. I don't think
you can dog a squad too much based on who
they beat.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Dolphins have one of the worst win wins. I was
trying to build your guys up. Why are you ripping
him down right now? I mean it's just horrible.

Speaker 4 (38:42):
Like the strength of victory for the Dolphins is like
one of the poorest in the NFL right now, it's horrible.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
Yeah, I've got to go look that start up.

Speaker 5 (38:50):
You are undefeated at home though, five and zero at home,
So that's good. One other game that I wanted to
hit to before hit here before we wrapped hour one
and then got into who saved their season and who
season came to an end?

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Was I know the Niners are good.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
I'm still trying to figure out the three game losing streak.
I'm still trying to figure out what's brock Purty hurt?
Is this all not having Deebo Samuel? Does he make
that big of a difference, because listen, it wasn't necessarily
like a curb stomping today. No rsur Man Kevin Figures
would say a molly woppin'. But in the end of
twenty seven to fourteen win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

(39:30):
when Brock Purty went twenty one of twenty five party,
no it was it was a perfect quarterback rating point
three and three touchdows.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Yeah, what would happen if he was twenty five or
twenty five?

Speaker 5 (39:41):
Do I don't know math, I'm sorry, I don't know.
But pretty impressive, right.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Oh, very impressive. I mean just what.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
I'm ready to go and bury him and say, yeah,
he's a good quarterback, but is he really a franchise quarterback?

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Is he really the quarterback that you want to give
the big contract? Tubers? He's going to lead you to
a super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (39:58):
Even the quarterback whisper or right, uh, shan Ann didn't
know how great he was because they took him as
mister irrelevant, so nobody knew that he was gonna turn
out like this there, Chris.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
Yeah, no.

Speaker 5 (40:10):
And in fact, it's funny every time someone talks I
have a whole new way I'm looking at quarterback prospects
in the NFL draft, because you know, I've already started
preparing for the NFL draft.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Of course I've got issues now.

Speaker 5 (40:23):
Every time someone says that guy just didn't look all
that great in college, my response is gonna be, neither
did brock Party Because if you would have told me
Mahomes neither did well, Mahomes at least had some statistical
jaw droppers, right, he was just he just it wasn't
very consistent. But I'm telling you what right now that
that brock Purty that I saw for Iowa State his
senior season, I am blown away. I'm more shocked how

(40:46):
successful he is Over Jalen Hurts. I mean, he's been
incredible and he was awesome today. All Right, when we
come back, Todd Furman's gonna join us. Next hour plus,
we'll dive in who saved it their season and whose
season came to an end. It's all coming up with
Arnie Spanier. I'm Chris Plank. This is Fox Sports Radio.

I believe it's five to kick off this hour. Yes, yes, see,

(41:37):
their season, this season came to an end. How long
were you in Dallas? What years were you there?

Speaker 4 (41:43):
Oh? I was told there was not going to be
any math on this one. I'm not really sure you remember. Okay,
I only bring it up. I only bring it up
for one reason. And Jason B.

Speaker 5 (41:53):
Diamond hit us up on Twitter, and we haven't brought
this up yet, but he writes, how great is it
that Jimmy Johnson is finally going to the Cowboys Ring
of Honor? And Jerry Jones was the one to tell him.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Yeah, it is great. I mean, he was a long
time coming, Chris.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
I'm surprised that Jerry was so stubborn all these years
and never put him in. You could tell that there
must have been some serious rift between those guys for
the last this long. So congratulations and Jimmy, he certainly
deserved no doubt about that.

Speaker 5 (42:22):
Yeah, and actually Mike McCarthy was even asked about it
after the game, which I don't know.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
I guess I shouldn't say. I'm surprised by that.

Speaker 10 (42:31):
I found out when Jimmy Jerry showed up in my
locker room, so that was cool. But yeah, I'll tell you,
I really enjoyed the town together. He was you know,
I love doing everything in front of the cameras all
the time, but it was just awesome. They'll see them
two together, they finished each other's sentences. So obviously very
happy for coach Johnson.

Speaker 5 (42:47):
So I didn't know you were there right around the
time of the breakup, right or No?

Speaker 2 (42:54):
No, I was there. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
I was there for Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett pretty much.

Speaker 11 (42:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (43:00):
Well, I just it's still one of the oddest breakups
in sports because everything was cooking. I mean, they at
Cowboys haven't been back to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
Since right, Right, it's been a horrible run ever since
Jimmy left.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
Horrible.

Speaker 5 (43:13):
I think it's really cool that he's finally getting inducted.
I don't know what took so long, one hundred percent, right,
but that's still you know, there's gonna be those moments
in sports every single franchise, maybe outside of the Steelers. Right,
you have it where you're like, our team made a
move that was dumb and they made it too quick.

(43:35):
And I think that's the Cowboys in their decision with
with Jimmy Johnson.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
I mean, Arnie, he was fired a year after they
won the Super.

Speaker 4 (43:42):
Bowl, right, and not only did Jimmy deserve to be
in the Ring of Honor, people were politicking on his
behalf to Jerry, and Jerry's still wouldless of the people
even around him, Jerry woodenless of the people that put
him in there.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
He was holding such a grudge.

Speaker 4 (43:58):
Like I said, billionaires old grudges, and that's exactly what
this guy was doing.

Speaker 5 (44:03):
It's just I'm I'm looking through all of this and
I'm reading everything, just trying to look back on the why.
And you have all these different rumors and they were
so tight.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
And listen what the one rumor was that Jerry wasn't
getting enough for the credit obviously, and that you know
was look at me, look at me. I'm the owner.
I deserve the credit. I put this team together. I'm
the one that signs the paychecks. You're giving Jimmy way
too much credit. And then they had it was an
ego struggle there, you know.

Speaker 5 (44:29):
Who was gonna win out And there was the line
that you know, Jerry Jones felt like the roster had
been built to the point where any team could win
the Super Bowl with at Alice Cowboys, So that angered
Jimmy Johnson.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
But I don't I don't care. You know, if you
had a wagon and they won the Super Bowl, Barry Switzer.

Speaker 5 (44:45):
I mean, when you have a wagon like they did
and you're rolling like they did, I don't know. Again, bygones,
be bygones. But if I'm a Cowboys fan, I think
I'm still kind of a.

Speaker 4 (44:56):
Little isn't any different what happened to the Chicago Bulls
and you know, Kraus and Michael Jordan and Pippin and
Phil Jackson and who got forced out and who deserved
the credit and all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
Anyway, just one of those side.

Speaker 5 (45:12):
I mean, we knew that he was gonna be inducted,
but now that we know, when I thought it was,
I thought it was pretty cool. Pretty cool today, long overdue,
but pretty cool. And then one more, one more here,
uh from the text tonight, And I gotta tell you something, Marnie.
I went to an NBA game this weekend. I went
to the Jazz Suns game during the playing all They're

(45:34):
not the playing tournament, the the NBA mid season tournament.
Well done, Utah, you guys got yourself an awesome, awesome
arena and awesome team. But the whole time I'm there,
the only thing I could think of is, man, can
you imagine how rock in this place was with Karl.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
Malone and John Stockton? Did you imagine? Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Anyway, sorry sideboat before we get to uh this.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
You had fun? All you had fun out there, though,
did you? Huh?

Speaker 5 (45:59):
Very expensive for cold beers at a game anymore? Very
what are we doing?

Speaker 3 (46:03):
People?

Speaker 2 (46:03):
Don't we want more people to enjoy the game?

Speaker 5 (46:06):
I had to go apply for a credit card in
order to be able to two beers for me and
my guy Gabe. All right, anyway back to the point,
Back back to this session at hand, Julian Wrights, you
are to be pleasantly surprised by the Sean Payton and
Denver broncos Era getting through the minor conflicts between him
and the expensive quarterback. I give coach Peyton a lot

(46:27):
of credit because things could have gotten much worse.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
It could, you know. I have to say the same
thing there.

Speaker 4 (46:33):
Not only did they save the season so far, but
they may have saved Russell Wilson's career.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Is that? Is that being too?

Speaker 4 (46:42):
You know a hot take guy, because you know, if
it was a bad year and they would have shipped
about or you know, they would have said.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
Goodbye, we don't want you.

Speaker 4 (46:51):
I don't know who would have taken a chance of him,
especially with the body that he makes.

Speaker 14 (46:55):
He may save his career based on what's going on
right now, aren't he? That gets us to row numeral
number five. Keep to the tweets coming, that's staking genius
one one. I'm at playing show. Everybody should follow us
at Fox Sports Radio and as always were coming to
you from the ti rack dot com studios.

Speaker 5 (47:13):
The question is a simple one. Who saved their season?
Whose season came to an end? Will give you two
in each category. Arnie, you go first. Who saved their
season today?

Speaker 4 (47:24):
They gotta start with the Buffalo Bills. You'll lose it, Anya, Yeah,
you lose it. You go sub five hundred, There's no
doubt about that. Plus you're playing at home. Plus you're
playing a week Jets team. No matter how great you
think their defense is a just still a better.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
Team than them.

Speaker 4 (47:37):
The Bills have just been treading water. They are in big,
big trouble. But this certainly, I mean, if you're a
Bills fit, you're hoping it writes the ship a loss
here And like I said, it was a sixteen to
sixth game. At halftime, you didn't know which way this
was gonna turn out in the second half. Very lucky
that Josh Allen put it together. But still a lot
of question marks about this team. But as of for now,

(47:59):
they certainly say their season.

Speaker 5 (48:01):
Arnie, I'm gonna go with a team that I don't
even know what they're trying to do or if they're good,
But after losing four of their last five games, I'm
gonna say the Rams saved.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
Their season today.

Speaker 9 (48:12):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (48:13):
Like I said, I don't know what they're saving it for.
I don't know if they've got a potential playoff run
in them. They are a four and six football team.
But I think they saved their season, not just by winning.
And it took one of the worst game winning field
goal kicks I think I've ever seen. Holy smokes, Jason Myers,
what the hell was that? But you've got Arizona next week.

(48:33):
In Arizona, you've got a chance to get another win there.
I mean, who knows where Cleveland is by the time
they come to play you. So you got a chance
to put together a couple of wins and get back
to five hundred. Like I said, I'm not sitting here
trying to tell you they're gonna battle for the NFC West.
But when you look at their schedule ahead, I see
Washington on there. You know, New Orleans with their quarterback situation.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Jerry Doable, I didn't know was that easy.

Speaker 5 (48:55):
They're going to the New York Giants. I mean, listen,
Tommy DeVito, that was nice today, but holy smokes, combined
eighteen sacks. Bottom line is I'm over explaining it, Arnie.
I've got the Rams having saved their season. You want
to add anyone of the saved to their season?

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Yes, well, I mean the game we just saw. Obviously
the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (49:11):
They won three in a row and this game made
it four in a row. They lose this and then
you could pretty much say it was a good run.
But they weren't gonna gohead and get it done. Now
they saved their seasons. They're at five hundred. I'm still
plenty of games left. They've got seven games left to
go ahead and try to get that last playoff spot.
They're a tough team defensively, There's no doubt about that.

(49:32):
When things clicked, Russell Wilson's a decent quarterback. It was
a monster win for them against the Vikings. Right now,
I don't have.

Speaker 5 (49:40):
Much of a sales job on this, but my final
saved to their season is an easy one because now
they've put together back to back wins, and in those
two wins they've scored sixty one combined points and have
only given up seventeen, and their quarterback had a perfect
passer rating. You couldn't afford a step back if you
were the Niners after what happened last week. You couldn't
afford a slide it all and listen by no means

(50:02):
because we only had what three games in the afternoon sash,
so we saw a little bit of everything in the
red zone. But I kind of feel pretty good about
what San Francisco is doing. Now it gets a little tough,
right They have Seattle two of the next three weeks,
which is still that scheduling quirk I can't stand. But
back to back games on the road at Seattle at
the scene of the crime last year at Philadelphia. I mean,

(50:24):
I'm not saying they're gonna be the one seed. I
don't know Philadelphia is gonna beat Kansas City tomorrow night.
But Arnie, despite a three game losing streak, they bounced
right back and they won two straight games. And their
quarterback has been one of the best in the league
over the last two weeks.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
Oh, he's been fantastic.

Speaker 4 (50:40):
Matter of fact, did they say that there has been
a quarterback to put back to back games like that
in how many years? It's it was something crazy. I
have to look that set up for you. But he's
been phenomenal product party, so good for him. I'll give
you one that lostter season.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
Well, you can't lose to the.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
Giants at home when you're four and six, especially with
the way you did. You lost by double digits to
what's his name the Vino? What's his first name? To
Tommy de Vino. You just can't do that. They turned
the ball over what a million times? Say Krown Barkery
had a great catch out of the backfield.

Speaker 3 (51:15):
He ran the ball.

Speaker 4 (51:15):
Well, but you you can't do that if you're Washington.
That was a that was a season I thing lost
for them as far as I'm concerned.

Speaker 5 (51:22):
Do you know what can I can I go back
and oh we're doing season came to an end. Oh okay, sorry,
I was trying to say someone whose season came to
an end, and I thought that we already did it.
No Cincinnati on Thursday Night. Hell a couple of years,
great run, great run, Cincinnati, take a back seat, right, Sorry,
Bengals fans. I feel like you're some of the most

(51:43):
passionate contributors to this very radio program.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
But I mean, who was it was?

Speaker 5 (51:49):
Is Red's pitcher Tom Browning, the guy that's that's her quarterback. Now,
I mean, come on you. I'll tell you one thing
that these last few seasons have taught me. You've got
to invest in a good backup quarter either you're gonna
go out and you're gonna find a guy in the
draft that you're gonna be able to develop that you
believe in. And listen, I know it's not like any team,

(52:09):
is it, Arnie. Everyone wants to have a good backup quarterback.
But come on, man, you're gonna go out there and
throw Jake Browning and expect this team to be anywhere close,
anywhere close to a playoff contender. I mean, Jamar Chase
already a little bit deemed up. I hate it because
I think it's such a cool story and I think
Joe Burrow is such a likable guy. But this thing

(52:31):
could go south very quickly. I don't think they, and
I'd love to be proven wrong, Arnie. I don't think
Cincinnati has the kind of defense that can do what
Cleveland's doing right now.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
No, but it's good. But it's good, don't get me wrong.
It's good.

Speaker 3 (52:43):
I just don't think it can do it Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (52:44):
What about the conspiracy theory about Joe Burrow about being
injured before the game, wearing that brace or he heard
a pop during the game right after the touchdown.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
What do you think is going on there, Chris, you
want to ask.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
Todd about it when he comes on. I mean, the
gambling community is up in arms.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Oh they are.

Speaker 4 (53:02):
There was something I saw that Dave Portnoy plays a
big bet on Cincinnati for that game. Yeah, that was
That's a that's a tough pill to swallow, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (53:13):
I see colleges have to get in the injury reporting game.
They have to, But we've got to become more what's
the word I'm looking for, transparent? I know no one
wants to give up an edge, and I don't know.
I mean Burrow claims that it wasn't an injury that
he had or anything that was existing, but I don't
know it just it seems like we're getting a little

(53:34):
bit shady with him, right.

Speaker 4 (53:36):
Well, is it a big I mean, look, I don't
have an injury, but I still wear a knee brace
just every time I play basketball, just to go ahead
and wear it.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
I don't know. Is that a big day?

Speaker 4 (53:44):
If I wear a sweat band on my wrist to
keep my wrist wrapped or tight or something like that,
is that a bad thing?

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Is that some type of injury? I don't know.

Speaker 5 (53:53):
If we're starting to you know, split hairs here, you know? Yeah, No,
it's a great question. You got anyone else who want
to add to the season? I mean to an ends list?

Speaker 2 (54:03):
No, that was I was. The Raiders have not come
to an end. I don't want you to give up
on them. I'm not. I really like this team. This
is gonna say this is a weird run.

Speaker 5 (54:12):
Yeah, well, even if they don't and I didn't realize, man,
I always try to tell I try to be that
voice or reason.

Speaker 2 (54:22):
My dad would always tell me, do as I say,
not as I do.

Speaker 5 (54:25):
Right, I feel like that's me as a sports talk guy,
because as a fan, I want everyone fired when they
lose and I want everyone cut. I'm like you, Aarnie,
they need to trade him right now. They're gone, God,
they're gone, get rid of him. But I never really
realized how much a coach can affect the way you
feel about your team. And Josh McDaniels made me hate

(54:48):
my team. And it was just I could not scan him.
He was arrogant, he was short, He didn't give a
damn about the history and the tradition of the Raiders.
And yeah, I know, we gotta we gotta blow the
dust off that suit trophy every now and then when
we want to talk about it. But I mean act
like the act like there's no history there to not care.
I mean, I just he was such an arrogant a hole.

(55:10):
Then all of a sudden, you bring in this guy
that's like, you know, we got a tradition here, and
he's letting the players be a little bit more free.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
Now.

Speaker 5 (55:16):
Their often still sucks, aren't he? But I really really
like this team. I'm I'm excited about Raider football.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
Edwards.

Speaker 4 (55:22):
Edward did he learn that attitude from.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
Bill Bill Belichick?

Speaker 10 (55:27):
Right?

Speaker 2 (55:28):
And you know what cracks me up is.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
Chris, Oh, you mean McDaniels. You mean mc daniels.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Yeah, yeah, I met McDaniels.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
But you know, if you look at it, and maybe
this is looking at it too hard, but you know
Tom Brady is going to be.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Part owner of the Raiders. You understand that, right, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (55:42):
I mean they've almost got it approve.

Speaker 4 (55:44):
Right, And if there's an opening to get the coaching slot,
which you know you still have an interim coach. But
if there's an opening, why would Belichick's name not be rumored?

Speaker 2 (55:54):
More?

Speaker 4 (55:55):
Considering all Brady has to do is say I want
him as our coach and it's a done deal, right,
I mean, that's all he really has to do. He
has to go to Davis and say, hey, we're gonna
hire Belichick and that that's it.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
And what is it? What's he gonna say? He's gonna
say fired. But it doesn't seem like they want him
over there, and I'm kind of curious.

Speaker 5 (56:14):
Well, no, no, no, I don't think it's that they don't
want him. Oh really, No, no, no, I think I don't
think anyone doesn't want Bill Belichick. I just don't think
that they want to have to trade a draft pick
to go get him from the Patriots or what he's
gonna pay. And let's remember one thing. And I know
he got a break in. Todd's coming up with us
and he'll be able to give some perspective on this
as well. But Arnie, I think Mark Davis really feels

(56:38):
like he's screwed up by not staying with Rich Pasacia.
I think he's gonna give Antonio Pierce a chance to
be the guy and to win the job. I really
truly believe that now.

Speaker 4 (56:45):
To rather take a first round pick that guy never
pans out in one year and you cut him so
instead of spending it on Belichick.

Speaker 5 (56:51):
Right, Well, not a lot of first round picks get
cut after one year. I mean, there's not a lot
of Josh Rosens that are out there now. A lot
of Raiders first round picks have been But they need
talent too. They need some playmakers on offense and they
don't have one specifically at the quarterback position. We'll talk
about it with Todd next but I was gonna add
one more team who I thought their season came to
an end today, Yeah, and that that was the Steelers.

(57:13):
But again, they'll they'll come out next week and they'll
probably do something ridiculous and win a game by by
ten points against Cincinnati that they're not supposed to. So
every time I try to count them out, they make
me look like a fool. All right, when we come back,
he never makes you look like a fool. He's Todd

(57:54):
do want to talk about f one at some point,
because I know it was quite the wild weekend there
in Vegas and not a lot of half people. But Todd,
I wanted to start with our opening conversation, what's going
on with the offense is do we have a quarterback concern?
Do we have an issue with quarterbacks getting injured? Is
there anything we can do? Or is this just football now?

Speaker 7 (58:12):
I think it's just football now, But what's interesting about it?
Had this discussion on our pregame show this morning with
Brady Quinn, and he said, a lot of these lower
body injuries that are attributed to non contact injuries may
have an underlying cause, and whether it's a change in
footwear from going from Reebok to Nike, that there's something
to it. If the league ever wanted to investigate. They're
not obviously going to benefit from it. But there is

(58:33):
a little legitimate concern because when you see all these
non contact injuries and it feels like a lot more
achilles for quarterbacks and those sort of things. I don't
think it's all about artificial turfs. So you hope that
you can keep those guys healthy, because as we've seen,
when teams have to go to their second and third
string quarterbacks, it does not present nearly as an aesthetically
pleasing product as it does with some of those mainstream stars.

Speaker 4 (58:53):
Tod Is it affecting the line of the over understotly
inching down and down and down or what I mean.

Speaker 7 (58:59):
We've seen more totals this year than we have in
recent memory, for sure, and when you look at the
board next weekend, we're gonna have a couple of totals
in the low thirties. When you look at Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
I mean, that's a total that'll be in that thirty
four and a half thirty five range. And as we
saw today, I mean thirteen to ten between the Cleveland
Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. So oddsmakers are always going
to adjust when they see trends in scoring start to

(59:21):
tick down. And unfortunately, that's not even gonna be the
lowest total. Next week. It looks like the Giants and
Patriots will be rock bottom at around thirty three and
a half. We'll see where that thing closes a week
from now.

Speaker 5 (59:31):
I don't know how you guys do it. I mean
I'm being I'm not trying to kiss your butt here, Todd.
But I'm watching the NFL. I watch and I love it,
and I cover it and I study it. I'm watching
a Niners team that loses three games in a rown
looks terrible, and over the last two weeks they've looked
like the best team in the NFL. I watched a
Buffalo Bills team last week that was anemic. Now today, now,
grant the Jets aren't very good, they look amazing. We

(59:55):
had CJ. Stroud winning the MVP last week he throws
two terrible fourth quarter interceptions.

Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
I don't know how you guys do it.

Speaker 5 (01:00:02):
I mean, this is this challenging of a year I
think that we've had in the NFL because every time
you think of team's heading in a direction, boom, something
else happens.

Speaker 7 (01:00:10):
It's very much a week to week league. And I
think you know that's the one thing that's always tricky
for betters that try and get involved with it, whether
it's the first time they've done it or even some
of the veterans that are out there, is you can't
place too much emphasis on just one data point. You
have to allow these teams to tell you who they're
going to be. And when you mentioned the Houston Texans,
I mean today didn't set up for them to be
at their sharpest on upset win last week against the Bengals,

(01:00:32):
a huge divisional game next week against the Jags. They
look great for a half and then it looked like
they shifted their focus thinking that they could just show
up for the second half and go out there and
take care of the Arizona Cardinals. You saw Trio double
digit underdogs all get home today with the Detroit Lions
laying you know ten points were that number open. I
know it closed significantly lower at seven and a half,
but they don't get outside the number the forty nine ers.

(01:00:53):
If you late eleven early, you were able to cash
your ticket. If you laid fourteen on game day, you
end up on the wrong side of the equation. In
the Miami Dolphins, I mean leaned down their defense more
so than anything else to kind of stymy the Raiders.
So it's all about numbers evaluations, and even when the
best laid plans you put down sometimes don't come to
fruition of a two point conversion here or there doesn't
go your way, just as Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings

(01:01:14):
backers depending on where they fell in terms of the side,
and of course the total impacted by Denver failing at
a two point conversion with that number closing at forty
two and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
You know, Tod, I'd never like to pry into your finances,
but I'm gonna go ahead, Todd, because I'm sure you
and all the other professional vetters out there made probably
what a gazillion dollars because you knew that Joe Burrow
was hurt, so you probably rushed to the tables and
you bet a gazillion dollars on the Ravens and now

(01:01:42):
you're all filthy?

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Rich? Am I right about that?

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
Or what I mean?

Speaker 7 (01:01:45):
We get a lot of good information, aren't he? I mean,
we don't try and go in with a level playing field.
But that Joe Burrow stuff came as a big surprise.
And as someone who bet the first half in that
game over the total at twenty three, was not exactly
thrilled once Burrow went out, thinking that the Bengals were
going to have to do some of the scoring as well.
But it's one of those things that the legal continue
and investigate. I find it interesting they say it wasn't

(01:02:06):
a pre existing injury, yet Joe Burrow had the brace
on that risk that ultimately ends up becoming a real problem,
saying that it was to keep the swelling down on
the plane. The head coach wasn't aware of it. So
where there's smoke, there's fire. And we've seen this before
in injury reports. I mean no greater illustration of that
than when Todd Gurley dealt with me tendon. It's the
entire Rams posteason run never showed up. On an injury report,

(01:02:28):
yet he wasn't the lead back, and professional Better said,
all right, you're going to keep setting over unders on
Gurly like he's going to get the lion's share of
the carries. We're going to bet him under until proven otherwise.

Speaker 5 (01:02:38):
So, Todd, is there something that needs to be done
in the fine tuning of the injury reports? I mean, listen,
I'm a big believer that the college game has to
get an injury report at some point, But I mean,
just in the NFL, is there got to be a
bigger enforcement, bigger penalties. Are Is it just something we're
just going to have to accept. It's not always going

(01:02:58):
to be necessarily truthful.

Speaker 7 (01:03:00):
I mean, I don't think it's ever going to be
one hundred percent accurate. But I do think as the league,
as they continue to push legalized gambling and regulated markets
and partnered up with regulated operators, that you want to
create a level of transparency because the last thing you
want is to lead consumers to some of the wagering
types that are out there, and if they feel some
of the books are offering bet booster props on players

(01:03:21):
and those players may be injured because they're not disclosing
that information publicly. It doesn't provide a great consumer experience
on a variety of fronts. Now we talk about college
I know we've had this discussion before. You know, I
understand that these universities believe they're protecting players. In my opinion,
it does the exact opposite, because when you're trying to
poke around and figure out what player may or may

(01:03:41):
not be available, it leads people that are looking to
gain an advantage digging into social media accounts for seventeen
and eighteen year olds, reaching out to athletic directors and
a variety of other channels, instead of just making that
information readily available. Say, you can eliminate some of that
nefarious component because people are always going to try and
identify an edge in the sports betting market the same
way they go about doing that when they're investing in stocks.

Speaker 4 (01:04:02):
Well, let's get to my Arizona Wildcats for quite out loud,
could you imagine if I would have bet the Wildcats
to win the Pac twelve championship in football and to
win the championship in basketball overall?

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
What kind of money I could have gotten on that?

Speaker 4 (01:04:16):
My goodness, what are the chances of Oregon State actually
playing the upset of Oregon and helping.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Me out here.

Speaker 7 (01:04:21):
I mean there is a possibility that that could happen. Now,
I haven't looked at all the tie breaking scenarios. Is
it a formality that Arizona gets in if they finish
with the same record as Oregon.

Speaker 4 (01:04:30):
If Oregon Oregon State beats Oregon and Arizona when they
collabor Arizona State, then that's what has to happen.

Speaker 7 (01:04:38):
So, because we know that you're not allowed nice things
in life, Arny, that means that Arizona will lose the
territory of Arizona. Absolutely bludgeon last weekend buy those aforementioned
Oregon Ducks. But I do think jet Fish as there's
a ton of credit taking this program from one win
when he was named head coach and making them relevant,
getting them to play good, sound, fundamental football on the

(01:04:58):
defensive side, and provide an offense that has shown a
little bit of physicality and grit. So if Arizona is
able to keep Jedfish despite that two hundred and forty
million dollars accounting air, that's going to plague their athletic
department going forward. I think Arizona is no doubt a
team to watch in the new look Big twelve when
we start to move to twenty twenty four and beyond.

Speaker 4 (01:05:16):
The rumor said that if Florida opening was open, that
he would go there, but I hope not.

Speaker 7 (01:05:21):
You know, I think he's going to be a hot
name man. Arizona is going to be hard pressed to
try and keep him on their sidelines. I don't think
Florida is going to part with Billy Napier after just
two seasons. But we've seen a lot of these programs
with some knee jerk reactions and if they don't get
immediate results, weird things tend to happen in the coaching carousel.
So it'll be fascinating to see with the new landscape
of these various leagues. I don't think you're going to

(01:05:42):
get you know, alums and athletic departments being very patient
with some of these slow rebuilds for some of the
perennial powers.

Speaker 5 (01:05:48):
Hey Todd, I know we've kept you long. Let me
ask one more Eagles Chiefs tomorrow night. What's your feel
I think.

Speaker 7 (01:05:54):
That when you look at Kansas City, I mean, this
is a team that's been outstanding with extra time to
prepare under Andy Reid, and I think the chief over
the last couple of weeks, while they've struggled in the second half,
their defense has been every bit as good as advertised.
I think you're gonna see Philadelphia look to key on
Travis Kelcey early, which creates opportunities for Rashi Rice and
some of the other receivers. So if I was looking
to get involved in that game, I like Kansas City

(01:06:14):
in the first half minus the one. I think the
Chiefs take a lead into the break and then we'll
see what happens after halftime or Kansas City will have
to find a way to at least score once, something
that they haven't done in each of their last two games.

Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Happy to have your streets and roads back in Vegas.

Speaker 7 (01:06:28):
Oh, it's definitely a step in the right direction. I mean,
it was a little bit of a black eye when
you watch that first practice they shut it down, and
then you go through the refund policy with some of
the folks that spent top dollars for all of that.
I was thankful that the race went off without a
hitch last night. And look, this is what the town
wants to be known for. The glitz and glamour. Despite
some of the comments from the drivers, I thought the
racing product was top shelf and it created quite the

(01:06:51):
unique visual even for someone that's lived here for fifteen
years to see the city look like that. So we
can only hope we learn from the first experience and
knowing it's a ten year commitment, if it's stands, the
things will get better and smoother for all parties involved
going forward.

Speaker 5 (01:07:04):
It was just beautiful sight, great optics. Sorry Todd, Thanks buddy,
keep rolling. We appreciate your time.

Speaker 7 (01:07:09):
Bear down by pleasure, gentlemen, have a great Thanksgiving and Arnie,
best of luck to your beloved Wildcats and Chris. By
the way, if you can figure out what the tiebreaker
scenarios are for the Big twelve, it makes you the
smartest man on the planet. I'm glad the League decided
that they should revisit all of those when they had
additional conference members instead of a full round robin. So
let's hope that unfolds without so much chaos and drama

(01:07:29):
that we're not talking about a coin flip like we
saw on Friday Night Lights and determine who gets to go.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
It wouldn't surprise me. Thanks Todd, you're the man. Appreciate
your time.

Speaker 5 (01:07:37):
By the way, I feel like whatever they can do
to keep Oklahoma in Texas out of the Big Twelve
championship game, that would be what the Big Twelve would
want to tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
You know.

Speaker 5 (01:07:46):
That's they know that they do not want the Sooners
their long horns walking out with their crown in wo style.
All right, running a little behind. Sorry about that to Sagre.
Let's get caught up on everything in the world of
sports here, Steve.

Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
That is all right.

Speaker 8 (01:07:58):
You mentioned college football. By the way, Georgia is still
number one in both polls for what it's worth, with
Ohio State up to number two. Next committee rankings Tuesday.
Oregon State fell to number fifteen today, Liberty up to
number twenty two, Toledo number twenty three in AP then
James Madison twenty four, and Tennessee twenty five. We did
have a coach firing today. Syracuse fired Dino Babers. The

(01:08:20):
team has lost six of seven. Last year, it lost
six of seven At the end. Babers record in eight
years there was forty one and fifty five. Arkansas says
it's coach Sam Pittman will be back next year despite
starting three and seven this year, and Cam Rising, Utah's quarterback,
who's been in a couple of Rose Bowls recently, will
apparently have about a twelfth year of eligibility coming because.

Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
It's like year seven for the guy Geez.

Speaker 8 (01:08:43):
Six of them at Utah. He says he'll return to
play next year after.

Speaker 2 (01:08:46):
His longest career than the NFL players do.

Speaker 8 (01:08:48):
It was a serious injury from the Rose Bowl last season,
but he'll be back, he says. Washington agreed to play
rival Washington State every season through twenty twenty eight, even
though the Huskies are leaving the PAC twelve, Texas Tech
quarterback Tyler Schuck entered the transfer portal. He started his
career at Oregon. Everything's a final except in Las Vegas.
Of course, late night in Vegas, we've got more sports.

Speaker 11 (01:09:10):
I wanted to.

Speaker 8 (01:09:10):
Know if we you know, we have a show from
Vegas live at two am Eastern every year, what Saturday
Night with Bernie And they had two events going on live,
the College Hoops and the Formula One, both still right
now in the final seconds of overtime at the tournament
final in Vegas. San Diego State has taken the lead

(01:09:31):
on Washington ninety eight to ninety seven. We mentioned earlier.
Number three ranked Arizona was an easy winner against Thursday
on Fox TV. On the holiday, Arizona hoops against Michigan State,
which went welly. By the way, at Madison Square Garden,
Yukon and Texas got wins. They'll play each other tomorrow.

(01:09:51):
Sixteenth ranked usc was tied with Brown with about four
minutes left to night, but did beat them eighty one seventy.
Brown is one and four. As for the NFL game,
which we spoke of earlier on the show at Denver,
the Broncos won their fourth straight, beating Minnesota on a
touchdown pass with about a minute left twenty one to twenty.
That ends the Vikings five game winning streak. The Rams

(01:10:12):
kicked a short field goal with about a minute and
a half to go to defeat Seattle seventeen to sixteen.
San Francisco got a win over Tampa Bay twenty seven
to fourteen. You mentioned the great Passer rating back to
back games now for Brock Party.

Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:10:26):
Ap list they sent out after that game was in
the last thirty years, the only guys that had had
back to back games with a passer rating of at
least one forty five was Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson,
Drew Brees Wow, and now brock Party Wow. And he's
the only Niners quarterback in the last twenty years with

(01:10:47):
back to back games of at least three touchdowns no interceptions.
I mean, first three quarters today he had three touchdown
passes and over three hundred yards.

Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
He's not Jeff Garcia though, Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:10:57):
That hadn't Some of these stats hadn't happened since Jeff
Garcia twenty years ago. Steve Young was the last Niners
quarterback to in the first three quarters of a game
have over three hundred yards passing three touchdowns.

Speaker 11 (01:11:09):
Apparently Young did that eight times.

Speaker 8 (01:11:11):
In his sty My goodness, Well, we did have a
Buffalo Jets game, and for all the NFL excitement, yeah,
this really wasn't one of those. Thirty two to six
Buffalo wins. Bills are at Philadelphia next Sunday. Monday night Tomorrow,
Philadelphia is at Kansas City with a chance of rain,
temperature in the low forties.

Speaker 11 (01:11:31):
Updates.

Speaker 8 (01:11:32):
San Diego State hoops wins in overtime against washingtoh one
hundred to ninety seven. NBA late game to the Lakers
over Houston one five one oh four. Lebron James hits
the game winning free throw. He had thirty seven points
and eight assists. Oklahoma City is now ten and four
after dominating at Portland one thirty four to ninety one.

(01:11:55):
Portland's lost seven straight. OKC won in overtime last night
at Golden State. Golden State's six in a row SACA
Sacramento one at six in a row, Boston won at
six in a row, Philadelphia one again. Phoenix won in
double overtime at Utah, and the Philadelphia Phillies re signed
pitcher Aaron Nola to a seven year deal reportedly worth
over one hundred and seventy million dollars. MLB teams, according

(01:12:18):
to reports, can start negotiating with the Japanese pitcher yoshinobi
Ya Yamamoto as early as Tuesday, if assuming he gets
posted tomorrow. His record in Japan was seventy and twenty
nine career. This past season, his ERA was one point
two one as he went sixteen and six. This is
the guy that set their World Series strikeout record when

(01:12:38):
he pitchs Game six, trying to keep his team alive.

Speaker 11 (01:12:41):
Back to you.

Speaker 5 (01:12:42):

(01:13:03):
Slash credit card limitations apply you guys. On all this
college basketball talk, I just I can't do it. I
can't do it right now. Congratulates so much going on.

Speaker 4 (01:13:11):
I mean, not only with the NBA college hoops. We
didn't even get to some of the big, big stories.
We talked to a little college football. But I'm just
one quick note since just brought it up. I am
I just to assume that Harbaugh is not going to
be coach of Michigan next year.

Speaker 3 (01:13:26):
That's yes, That's how I feel.

Speaker 2 (01:13:29):
So he's gone. Then he's going to go to the NFL.

Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
Right, I think he's off to the NFL. I think
he's going to be the next head coach of the
Chicago Bears. That's just my prediction. And by the way,
I'm also thinking that urban Meyer is going to be
the next head coach at Texas A and M, so
you might want to believe what I said with a
grain of salt. I just it makes too much stupid sense.
Do you know what that means. That means it's it's

(01:13:52):
something that is just stupid enough that a program with
way too much money and not the brightest bulbs would
go out and do let's go get urban Meyer. That'd
be great. I think it's gonna happen. Just a guess.
It would make too much sense to go hire Mike Elko.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
You got a lot of money there, there's no doubt
about that.

Speaker 5 (01:14:11):
I know you're so outraged by them spending that money
on a buyout. Uh, Sharon has a good Sharon. I
think it's been on fire on Twitter tonight. If Joe
Burrow was hurt before the game, which I don't think
he was, but if he was, I think everyone, including me,
should be very angry. He has to sit out a game.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
If he's hurt.

Speaker 5 (01:14:31):
We lost that game, already lost three games with a
calf injury.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
You need to sit him. If he's injured later happen.

Speaker 5 (01:14:40):
Well, I understand that Virgil Carter I was gonna go
with a killy Smith. You would a little bit over
the top on me. But uh, here's the thing, not
that you would have a chance to win the game,
but if you risked it, risk risk, get it. But
now he's out for the season. So would it have
been smart to rest him for a game or two?

Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Maybe?

Speaker 5 (01:15:02):
But I don't think any quarterback is gonna go out
there and say no, no, let me sit. That's one
of the wild things. They want to play. There's only
a handful of dudes that are like, ah, I'm gonna
go sit out. They want to play.

Speaker 4 (01:15:13):
I can't believe you can't put up some type of
cast on it and just play through the injury.

Speaker 5 (01:15:18):
I'm that's wow. All right, your tweets are great. When
we come back, we'll keep hitting them. But Sager has
to look at all the numbers and the notes that
we've missed. Next on Fox Sports Radio, all right from
the ti rack dot Com studios with Arnie and Plank,
he is Steve Sager.

Speaker 3 (01:15:34):
What do we got, Steve? Where are we at?

Speaker 11 (01:15:35):
Well, we got a lot of NFL.

Speaker 8 (01:15:37):
Of course, let's not forget tonight's game because Denver didn't
have much offense and still.

Speaker 11 (01:15:42):
Won the game.

Speaker 8 (01:15:42):
That is a theme for some of this. You were
talking about some of the quarterback play and some of
the offense we've seen. It doesn't mean we don't get
excitement at the end. And then after tonight, Broncos won
their fourth in a row, beat the Vikings twenty one
to twenty. But the Broncos on their first nine drives
had eight first downs, and then with about two and
a half minutes to go, they got first downs on
three straight plays wound up getting the game winning touchdown

(01:16:04):
pass a leap in the back of the end zone
from Courtland Sutton with about a minute to go. Let's
not forget this Thursday, Thanksgiving on Fox TV, the Detroit
Lions eight and two will be hosting the Packers. Green
Bay was a winner late against the Chargers twenty three
to twenty at touchdown pass with about two and a
half minutes left. They put up a stat on the

(01:16:25):
telecast today that the Chargers franchise since the merger, this
is over fifty years of history. I've lost the most
close games. I absolutely believe that Austin Eckler fumbled in
the red zone early in the fourth quarter. Keenan Allen,
who had ten catches today, dropped two passes near the
end zone in the sun. And what did we mention
about the rookie first round receiver Quentin Johnston last Sunday

(01:16:49):
night on the show, What a disappointment he's been and
all the drops And sure enough he had a drop
that on a pass that would have gotten them at
least a thirty forty yard game and put him in
a fuel goal range. Late next Sunday night, it's the
Chargers hosting Baltimore. The Ravens are eight and three. Charger
linebacker Joey Bosa left with a foot injury today, LA

(01:17:09):
is four and six. Speaking of injuries, Packers running back
Aaron Jones left with a knee injury and aj Dillon,
on fourteen carries, had just twenty nine yards rushing.

Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
They've both been horrible this year.

Speaker 8 (01:17:20):
It's miserable, yes, absolutely, And then you've had Jordan Love
at quarterback. But of course, when you face the Charger secondary,
Jordan Love has his first three hundred yard passing game
of his career. So there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
That was the first.

Speaker 8 (01:17:33):
This is it, This was the one three hundred twenty
two yards passing the Detroit Lions with the Lake comeback
first team and over a year in the league to
be down twelve in the last three minutes and still
win the game in regulation. They put up a stat
on the telecast there that the Lions franchise has won
eight of its first ten games in a season for

(01:17:53):
the first time since nineteen sixty two.

Speaker 11 (01:17:56):
Detroit is that good this year?

Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
I wasn't even born then.

Speaker 11 (01:18:00):
I'm not sure about that.

Speaker 8 (01:18:01):
Cleveland Browns with the late game winning field goal. It
came with two seconds left to beat Pittsburgh thirteen to ten.
So the Browns have won five of their last six.
Most of those five saw the game winning points come
in the last two minutes of regulation. And that means
another rookie quarterback gets a victory, Dorian Thompson Robinson from UCLA.
In fact, the Giants rookie Tommy DeVito gotta win even

(01:18:23):
though he was sacked nine times Today at Washington, DeVito
had three touchdown passes, two to Saquon Barkley, and the
Giants won thirty one nineteen. So the list gets longer.
There have been how many rookie quarterbacks not just to
start a game this year, to start and win a
game this season. Already it's nine rookie quarterbacks, which is

(01:18:45):
the most in any NFL season since nineteen fifty. And
of course we're throwing out the strike year of nineteen
eighty seven where every guy named Joe. On Monday Night,
Rams had a comeback against Seattle to win field goal
got them a victory. The Rams were down with eight
minutes to go sixteen to seven, but scored on their

(01:19:05):
next two drives, so Seattle lost while San Francisco won.
Niners are seven and three. They're now a game ahead
of Seattle in the division. And the Thursday night game
is San Francisco at Seattle. Also on Thanksgiving, it'll be
Washington at Dallas. Jacksonville beat Tennessee thirty four to fourteen.
Trevor Lawrence two touchdown runs, two touchdown passes. The Chicago Bears.

(01:19:29):
They got that loss. I mean, I thought they were
actually really going to pull off the w quite the
upset at Detroit. And you know, how does Carolina feel
about this? Cause they're not going to get the number
one pick overall anyway, And Carolina lost again. They get
killed by the Cowboys sack seven times, Bryce Young with
another el Carolina's one to nine. For those unaware, they

(01:19:49):
don't own their first round pick that would go to Chicago,
Chicago could have two top five selections in the first
round of the draft in late April, so Carolin one,
Arizona two to nine and winless on the road still
after losing at Houston. Idle New England is two and eight.
By the way, One good thing about Chicago's Bears Justin

(01:20:10):
Fields back and healthy, yet one hundred yard rushing game
for the fifth time in his career today. The only
guys with more ten hundred yard rushing games for Michael
Vick in his career Lamar Jackson's up to thirteen, and yes,
Miami beat Las Vegas twenty to thirteen.

Speaker 2 (01:20:26):
You go.

Speaker 8 (01:20:27):
The Dolphins are five and oh at home, seven and
three overall. Devon hn though just off our left as
he landed on the same He's kept him out as
a precaution, says the team.

Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
He's only so is Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 5 (01:20:40):
I thought whenever he was down, I'm like, they're not
going to bring him back, and he was massive today.

Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:20:45):
What have we learned? Week eleven? Not quite in the books.

Speaker 5 (01:20:48):
We've got a massive Monday night football game, but after
the full slate of Sunday games and the Thursday night
matchup after week eleven, we know this. We'll dive into
it next for the Power Hour with Arni and Plank

What are you doing this week? You got fill in
this week?

Speaker 3 (01:21:32):
Or what I'm with you Friday night?

Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
Okay, okay, Thursday, I'm with VJ Thursday.

Speaker 9 (01:21:37):
I know?

Speaker 2 (01:21:37):
Are you not working? Thanksgivy. Did I give you that
night off?

Speaker 5 (01:21:40):
You gave me that night off? Thank you very much?
Like you're well with my family?

Speaker 4 (01:21:43):
Yes, you and the Sega I both gave that night
off too. And by the way, my I'm in a
good move today, because my neighbor right next door is
moved away today.

Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
She hated us. He moved away just for today, or
she moved away period. She moved to Austria.

Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Oh that's not a short for a couple.

Speaker 2 (01:22:01):
For a couple of years.

Speaker 4 (01:22:02):
They had a big party for everybody on the street
was there and was invited, but me and good See,
you wouldn't want to be a.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
I can't imagine living next to you and not enjoying
every moment of it.

Speaker 4 (01:22:15):
You know, I'm a very pleasant person. I gotta tell you,
I'm a very pleasant guy to be around.

Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
And she was not very pleasant. I can tell you that.

Speaker 5 (01:22:23):
Did you pass your referee test this week? I thought
that was the big concern this week?

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
It is. You know.

Speaker 4 (01:22:28):
The funny about that is I can't figure out how
to log on and I I called the guy and
he keeps telling me how to do it. But I go,
that's not the way to do it, buddy, I you're
screwing something up.

Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
I can tell that you don't know what you're talking about.

Speaker 5 (01:22:43):
So, and then you did you proceed to tell him
who you are and how you're gonna be No.

Speaker 2 (01:22:47):
I am right.

Speaker 4 (01:22:48):
I told him I gave it out on the air.
We all couldn't figure it out. So there's something he's
doing wrong there you go. So I haven't I haven't
taken chapter one yet, but I only have to get
eighty percent or better.

Speaker 2 (01:22:59):
I need a chapter, so I should be.

Speaker 5 (01:23:00):
Fine, all right before we get to after week eleven,
we know this, Yes, the seger got me. Of course.
You know where I like to hang out tankathon dot
com here. It's a real legitimate possibility the New England
Patriots could have the top pick in the draft.

Speaker 3 (01:23:17):
You know that?

Speaker 4 (01:23:18):
Oh absolutely, I've been telling you that, do I know that?
Who's been telling you all this time that they were
gonna be a miserable team?

Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
Listen, but you've been.

Speaker 5 (01:23:25):
Telling us New England sucks for twenty years and years
they went to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:23:31):
They tell terrible this.

Speaker 4 (01:23:33):
I told you they were gonna be a bad team,
absolutely miserable team. And that's exactly what's going on. That's why,
this is why Bill Belichick is not gonna come around.
And yeah, they have a very real chance I having
the number one pick.

Speaker 5 (01:23:44):
In fact, as it stands right now, and this is
I just want to point this out. I know how dumb.
This is I accept it. Just I'm calling myself out
so you don't have to. This is his dumbest saying.
You know, the season ended today, Arnie, we would have
New Orleans host in Dallas in the first stro out
of the playoffs. We've got a long ways to go
in the season, but just you know, indulge me for

(01:24:05):
a moment. The Bears would have the top pick because
of their trade with Carolina. Carolina looks terrible, though. That
was a better game than the final score would indicate today.
I was a little bit close early on between Carolina
and Dallas. So they're one and nine, but they're gonna
back into a winner too. Carolina will Arizona is two
and nine, but gosh, they're gonna back into a couple
of wins. They're playing well. They probably should have beat

(01:24:27):
the Texans today. And then there's New England. I don't
know if they're gonna win another game. I don't know
if they're gonna win another game at all. And New
England's at two and eight right now. The Giants and
the Bears are already at three and eight. By the way,
Tennessee's lurking right there at three and seven. They're not
very good either. But I'm just I wonder if Caleb

(01:24:48):
Williams going to New England, and I think I heard
Dan Patrick make this point and it's kind of resonated
with me. I wonder if he could be for Belichick,
will like a women Yama West, for Popovich, be that
guy that suddenly reinvigorates States, or if it's Drake may Listen,
I'm not gonna sit here, and I know there's some
that have already started the whole. I take Drake may moore,
Caleb's crying to his mom, But I mean, could it

(01:25:11):
be something that would want them to keep Belichick around?

Speaker 4 (01:25:13):
I don't think it's if And if Belichick's I think
you start fresh.

Speaker 2 (01:25:17):
And if Bellowchick's out.

Speaker 4 (01:25:18):
The coach of the team, who actually makes this decision
on who should be the number one if you have
the number one pick on who you're taking.

Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
Is it Robert Kraft, Jonathan Graft? Is it the new coach?

Speaker 4 (01:25:27):
Whoever you're gonna hire, You're gonna put that much trust
to him and say who do you want as the quarterback?
Klele Williams or Drake may I Who gets to make
that decision?

Speaker 5 (01:25:35):
You do you bring in a general manager if if,
I mean, maybe you tell Bill Belichick, Hey, coach, we're
gonna we're gonna buy the groceries for you. I don't
and I don't think he'd go for that, But I
don't know. It's a great question. Maybe it would be
the Craft, even the Bears.

Speaker 4 (01:25:49):
I mean, the Bears have a strong ownership, But who
would make the decision on what they were gonna do
the new coach?

Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
Is it a GM, is it a bi committee?

Speaker 4 (01:25:59):
I mean, it's out of interesting on you know, who's
going to make the decision on which way to go?
I mean the pay I can see the Patriots saying
somebody like Robert Kraft going, you know, we have the
number one pick, but they're off because the Kings ran
somebody like Drake May, We'll trade down the number two
and take everything.

Speaker 3 (01:26:15):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:26:16):
That's just a possibility, by the way, So write that
down so we can talk about it on Friday night.

Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
Make that like Roman numeral five.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
Okay, I'll get you.

Speaker 5 (01:26:23):
Do realize though, when we're working together Friday night. Yeah,
I will have called again, well, not calling him, I
would have done sidelines for a game that morning.

Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
Okay here, Oh you plays on Black Friday, Get out
of here.

Speaker 5 (01:26:34):
We played what a friend of mine called the waken
Bank Special. I don't know what that means, but we
kick off at eleven am what Central time on Friday morning.

Speaker 4 (01:26:44):
You know, the Oregon Oregon State game is Friday night,
so we'll be on the air as that is. It's
an eight thirty Eastern, so I will know. We'll be
doing the show for about an hour and a half.
By then I'll either be cheering like crazy or crying.
And my Dolphins play that day too, on Friday, so.

Speaker 5 (01:27:01):
Oh, well, Dolphins are gonna win. I mean, you're playing
the Jets. Well, let's start there. It is my favorite
hour of the show, not because it's the last one,
but because we really dive into what we learned and
what we took away from the weekend that was. And
yes I did say weekend, because while we keep this
pretty pigeonhole to the NFL week it also includes the

(01:27:21):
Thursday night game. So as we're brought to you by

Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
Arnie we hit.

Speaker 5 (01:27:37):
I believe it's Roman numeral number four. After week eleven,
I know this. Where do you want to start?

Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
After week eleven? I know this?

Speaker 4 (01:27:45):
It is o v eer, not only this year, but
for years to come.

Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
You had your run at it, you had a golden miracle.
You couldn't get over the hump.

Speaker 4 (01:27:57):
Goodbye Cincinnati Bengals, my friends, your time is coming gone.
You're never gonna go have a run like that. Joe
Burrows never gonna be the quarterback like that. Again, he's
always gonna be injury prone. He's had injuries throughout his career.
We know it is ove er, at least this year
for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 3 (01:28:16):
Arnie, I can't argue with that.

Speaker 4 (01:28:17):
No.

Speaker 5 (01:28:17):
Like I said, I like their defense, I don't love
their defense, But in the end, it's can they do
for the Bengals? Can their defense do for Cincinnati? With
the Browns defense has done for them? I mean, what
do we say, where's my numbers at here?

Speaker 1 (01:28:34):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:28:34):
You know somebody said us a.

Speaker 4 (01:28:37):
Tweet that said that Andrew Luck was sacked one hundred
and fifteen times in fifty five games. Joe Burrow was
sacked one hundred and forty eight times.

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
Oh wow, in fifty two games. I gotta get an
offensive line going in Cincinnati. Geez.

Speaker 5 (01:28:53):
But I mean, I I don't know if the Bengals
defense can withhold a quarterback and no offense.

Speaker 3 (01:28:59):
Dorian Thompson robe soon if you're listening.

Speaker 5 (01:29:01):
But three point five yards per play in three point
seven yards per pass. So I'm with you on Cincinnati,
all right, Arnie? After Week eleven, I know this, and
this pains me a little bit because it involves me
saying nice things about a team in the AFC West.
Sean Payton might just know what he's doing. Clowned through

(01:29:21):
the early part of the season. I made fun of
had the uncomfortable even preseason about how much of a
mess that it was in Denver when he took over
and everyone was laughing and it was a joke.

Speaker 3 (01:29:33):
And what was the.

Speaker 5 (01:29:34):
Final score of that game against the Dolphins. I mean,
you probably have a trophy with it in printed like
seventy seven or twenty or something like that. I mean,
they were laughing, stock right, it was seventy to twenty.
It was seventy to twenty inside arrowhead after the one
and five start, this from a Jeremy Fowler tweet, Sean
Payton said he's not discouraged. They were one in five.

(01:29:56):
Since then, they've won four straight. They've been plus a
lot eleven in turnover differential. And Courtland Sutton, who I
think has been one of those guys in fantasy that
people draft every year and he always stinks. He's had
a touchdown now in five straight games, so again, might
not be this year, but I kind of think after
Week eleven, Broncos are going to be a problem. I

(01:30:18):
don't want to play him. They've got Cleveland next week,
they've got to go to Houston the following week. Lit'sten
to this three game road stretch Chargers at the lines.
But that's what Russell Wilson has done his whole career. Yeah, Yeah,
Russell Wilson's never been a ninety percent completion guy and
a four hundred yard passer. I mean, he's won because
his defenses were just nails. And after Week eleven, I

(01:30:38):
think that's what he's got in Denver right now there.
If you like defensive football, if you like slaber knockers,
they give it to you with Denver. That so long
way to go from upbreed. I don't want to throw
U parade.

Speaker 2 (01:30:51):
Yet, Yeah I'm not.

Speaker 4 (01:30:52):
I'm not all in like you Yard seems like on that.
By the way, I'll give you another o Ver. It's
over for a bunch of people. It's all tight end together,
not as Not only is it over for the Titans,
it's over for Henry, it's over for Tannehill. It's over,
a matter of fact, why don't they just cut Tannehill.
I'm sure there's a lot of teams that would love

(01:31:12):
to have him as a backup, like the New York
Jets or something like that, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
So it's it's just all over for all of them.

Speaker 4 (01:31:20):
They just their careers came to a crashing halt and
the Titans just went spiring out of control.

Speaker 2 (01:31:28):
It is over for all of them.

Speaker 5 (01:31:30):
So, just at least from my incredibly in depth research here,
if the Titans were to just cut Ryan Tannehill, yes,
I think it's like a forty five million dollar dead
cap hit.

Speaker 4 (01:31:43):
So he was gonna I from what I heard that
he was going to ask for his release, though I
think that was a fake tweet, Oh was that boloney? Yeah, yeah,
well I wouldn't I would think that he would want
to do that, wouldn't he?

Speaker 3 (01:31:57):
Maybe? Maybe not?

Speaker 5 (01:31:59):
I mean, I again, you're getting paid a lot of
money to basically you.

Speaker 2 (01:32:02):
Get your money, Yeah, you get.

Speaker 5 (01:32:05):
Well no, I mean if you ask for your release
and your cut, you don't get all your money. You know,
it's you've got to give up some of it. So
I don't, I mean, I don't. I don't know unless
he's just die hard and want to play, and maybe
he is. He might not be healthy either, is another thing.
He might still be battling. Some things could be so.
But yeah, that fake tweet made their up. McFee had

(01:32:27):
it on his show.

Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
And maybe yeh.

Speaker 2 (01:32:30):
Bogus tweet on that though. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:32:31):
In fact, I think Front Office Sports had the note
that the picture of the actual reporter that everyone credited
was like some dead French billionaire, and then he had yeah,
then he had like an ESPN reporter in his bio
and everyone I wasn't all right after week eleven, I'm
done talking about the AFC West. It makes me feel
better and saying nice things about teams in the AFC West.

(01:32:54):
Darney after week eleven. I know this, the Texans are
going to be just fine, but it's kind of calmed
down on our hype train a little bit. I don't
know why we do this, and it's a royal wee
problem here. I'm looking at you Fox, I'm looking at
you ESPN, I'm looking at you CBS Sports and whomever.
It's okay to just let a guy be playing well
instead of my gosh, he's gonna be the first rookie

(01:33:16):
to ever win the MVP. He is the MVP front runner.
Have we not learned our lesson with Colorado? Through three
games in college football this year? He's still a rookie.
He's really good. Two soul crushing interceptions that he threw,
he was still incredible.

Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
And they're gonna be fine.

Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
But just let's slow.

Speaker 5 (01:33:35):
Down a little bit, Arnie. Whenever we're putting guys in
your preseason Hall of Fame through their first ten starts,
shouldn't you be talking to me bumps in the road.

Speaker 4 (01:33:41):
Shouldn't you be talking to Chris Collinsworth about this or not?
I mean, is there a player that this guy doesn't like?
Is there a player that's not going to the Hall
of Fame? According to Chris Collinsworth or what you know?

Speaker 5 (01:33:52):
Well, I gotta be honest with you because we're on
the air. I don't get to hear collins Worth a lot.
I usually see all y'all's vitual on Twitter. Is kind
of how I figure out what he's saying.

Speaker 4 (01:34:01):
But oh, would you look at Daddy threw a forward
pass Willy was running.

Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
I have never seen anything like that before. It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:34:10):
All right, you got anything else that you've learned after
week eleven? Because I got a few more here for you.

Speaker 2 (01:34:14):
I'll give you one more. I'll give you that. The Lions,
they are for real.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
Even though they didn't play a great game, great come
from behind victory. I was ready to go ahead and
give them a bunch of crap had they lost to
the Bears at home and so that you see they're
not ready to take the next step.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
But they are ready to take the next step. They didn't.
Paddock Gov had a horrible game. Three interceptions.

Speaker 4 (01:34:33):
How many times do you win a game with three
interceptions in a fumble? What the time? Maybe even less
than that. But they hung tough, they got the victory.

Speaker 2 (01:34:43):
What are they now?

Speaker 4 (01:34:43):
Eight and two or something like that? So they're they're
ready to take the next step. I can't wait to
see what they do in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:34:49):
After Week eleven.

Speaker 5 (01:34:50):
I know this, I never thought I would be as
excited as I am for a Jaguars Textans matchup, because
next Sunday, that's what we get. Jacksonville and he Houston
and the Jaguars. Jaguars reacted like you want and responded
how you would want a contender to respond. They got
housed by the San Francisco forty nine ers last week,

(01:35:11):
already thirty four to three. They were never in the game.
Trevor Lawrence looks so bad. I think we told them
their season came to an end. Tennessee by no means
a good football team or an elite football team. But
they just they choked them out. I can't think of
another analogy. I apologize. I watched a lot of MMA
this weekend. They absolutely choked them out, and I think
that's what you want to see. In fact, I know

(01:35:33):
that's what you want to see from a team that's
still young and still learning how to win. They just
went out and dominated today. And I've got a Texans
Jaguars game that I'm excited about next week. Who would
have thought the Lions game on the first in the morning,
sessh on Thanksgiving Day would be the most exciting game
of the day, because, well it's the Lions. They usually suck,
but they're good. So I'm just I'm pumped for the

(01:35:56):
week and ahead, and like Thanksgiving is the way the
Jaguars found.

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
Boy, I really liked it in the preseason.

Speaker 4 (01:36:04):
You mean, you got what San Francisco and Seattle's a
major game out there.

Speaker 5 (01:36:08):
Well, and that's massive because you know, Seattle's got to
come back after a loss the Commanders. Did you see
Magic Johnson really broke it down for the Commanders today?

Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
Did you see Magic's tweet?

Speaker 4 (01:36:18):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:36:18):
I didn't see it.

Speaker 5 (01:36:19):
What do you say, Well, I mean, listen, I understand
that Magic Johnson had to leave the Lakers because he
wanted to have a little bit more freedom whenever it
came to what he tweeted. So here was his reaction
to the Commander's loss today. Wow, my Washington Commanders turned
the ball over six times today and gave the Giants
twenty four points off turnovers. We lost thirty one nineteen.

(01:36:41):
He's not wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:36:43):
That was it.

Speaker 3 (01:36:43):
Yeah, the whole thing that was a whole tweet. Yeah, yeah,
I mean that was it.

Speaker 2 (01:36:46):
Thanks wait to go Magic, Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 5 (01:36:49):
I'm glad you're I'm glad you were able to sell
that to your five point two million dollar million followers.
You're obviously doing something right. But yeah, I don't know
what I think of the thing giving day slate, aren't
I I know I'm gonna love it, and no, I'm
gonna watch it. I want to see after week eleven.
I know this Jordan Love is playing better. I want
to see if Jordan Love can carry it over go

(01:37:10):
on the road against a good team and a unique
atmosphere in a short week. He's played well the last
three weeks, even though he had some bad turnovers against Pittsburgh.
I just I think I kind of like the morning
and the evening slates. Maybe the Commander's Cowboys game. I'll
get my nap it. I'm a little disappointed that we
couldn't flex out like the Friday game because I would
have loved to have had something in that Friday like

(01:37:31):
the Steelers Bengals game, or maybe even the Buccaneers and
the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:37:35):
But I mean, you guys are just gonna destroy the Jets.

Speaker 4 (01:37:37):
Next oh, you never know what it is. It is
in New York. I will say this after week eleven.
I know this, and I'm gonna kaya kind of tie
it not only to the NFL, but college football also.
I can't remember the last time I've been this excited
about a weekend of football.

Speaker 2 (01:37:53):
Then, gosh, I since I was alive.

Speaker 4 (01:37:58):
Seriously, since as the Wildcats trying to go to the
Pac Trop Championship that that's never happened. This is like
the This is like the best week of football in
my lifetime.

Speaker 2 (01:38:10):
It really is.

Speaker 4 (01:38:11):
And the Dolphins looking so great, and you know, even
my Wildcats and hoops, it's this is the best time
of my life. And I'm sure it's going to come
crashing down, and you know, tour will get hurt. Knockwood, Knockwood, Knockwood.
But man, it's it's I have never been more excited
in my life.

Speaker 2 (01:38:28):
Who would have thought of all the quarterbacks that have
been injured so far and here boys missed maybe two
this year. Don't do that, I'm not. I'm just pointing
out he's been a model of efficiency. If he goes down,
we'll have to get Marino.

Speaker 4 (01:38:44):
I saw that commercial he said he wouldn't make him
and out of retirement.

Speaker 3 (01:38:47):
Give him a shot.

Speaker 2 (01:38:48):
Why not?

Speaker 5 (01:38:48):
Let's do it Dan, when we come back, we'll hit
your tweets plus post game sound as we put a
rap on Week eleven in preview Monday Night Football with
Arnie and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. That's Arnie Spanier.
I'm Chris playing. Hey, we're gonna be back together on
Friday night, filling in for Jason Smith. It's nine p
to one a Central Time.

Speaker 2 (01:39:09):
Come on, there you go? Why why would anyone want
Eastern time? That's the real times.

Speaker 3 (01:39:15):
It's the worst time zone there is.

Speaker 2 (01:39:17):
It is, that is true, but that's what everybody.

Speaker 4 (01:39:19):
That's what they say on TV right when they say
join us at seven o'clock Eastern, four.

Speaker 2 (01:39:23):
O'clock pacifics Stop who watches TV?

Speaker 3 (01:39:26):
Netflix? It's all on demand now, Arnie.

Speaker 5 (01:39:28):
Arnie will be in on Thursday night too, So we're
in for Jason and Mike Thursday. Well, he's in Thursday.
I'm in with Arnie on Friday, and then we'll be
back to recap the final regular season weekend of college football.

Speaker 2 (01:39:40):
Wow, look how quickly it went. I'm gonna get to
please you.

Speaker 3 (01:39:43):
Gotta be so excited.

Speaker 5 (01:39:44):
I know you said it before the break, but for
where your Wildcats were to where they are, I'm gonna be.

Speaker 4 (01:39:50):
Bummed if if we lose our coach, that's really gonna
get fish. I'm gonna be really bummed about that. And two,
I don't think Oregon State could win. I'm matter of
fact that what fourteen a half point dog, which means
I'm guessing like a plus three fifty to four to
one of visits on the road, probably more like plus

(01:40:10):
three fifty if you want to go ahead and bet
the bet a straight up win, So that's gonna be
tough to pull off.

Speaker 5 (01:40:16):
Why are you worried about the bet side?

Speaker 3 (01:40:19):
Do you know what hasn't happened in college football this year?

Speaker 2 (01:40:22):
Upsets?

Speaker 5 (01:40:24):
We haven't had that jaw dropping upset. What's the biggest
upset in college football this year? To you see? Usually
one like will pop right to mind. Was it Virginia
beating North Carolina? You can't even really say Kansas and
Oklahoma State beating Oklahoma because they're both ranked, but still
it's an upset. But I mean, we haven't had any

(01:40:45):
of the top Texas beat Alabama. But now Texas they're
top seventeen, right. I mean it's it's tough because you
really have Some might say what Appalachian State did to
James Madison, right, But I mean, come on, Arnie, when
we're talking about so we really haven't had that this year.
I can't wait to see what they do with the

(01:41:05):
Jordan Travis injury and if they drop Florida State when
we get the rankings coming up on Tuesday night.

Speaker 2 (01:41:12):
That's fair if you drop Florida State because of that
or what.

Speaker 3 (01:41:14):
Yes, they're not as good of a team without Jordan Travis.

Speaker 2 (01:41:17):
Just you're based. Your rankings are based on what you've
done up to that point.

Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (01:41:23):
They I like how somehow I don't know the name
of the device in Men in Black that would wipe
everyone's minds, But somehow college Football's Playoff committee crew is
able to wipe their minds and whatever they talked about
the week before and coming to the clean slate, every.

Speaker 2 (01:41:38):
Single I would be good on the committee. I'm very
good at that.

Speaker 5 (01:41:40):
You know that if you were amazed, you would be
actually be amazing at that. All Right, to get back
to the NFL before we get a final update from
the SEGA, I have two what would you do?

Speaker 3 (01:41:51):
What would you do if you're the Jets right now?

Speaker 5 (01:41:53):
Like, how do you do you continue to try to
accelerate the return of Aaron Rodgers. It was very quiet
on Aaron Rodgers front this week, which was odd. But
I mean, gosh, for as much hype as we had
around Zack Wilson and he's working with Aaron Rodgers and
it's a whole new hymn.

Speaker 2 (01:42:10):
It's getting worse. It's getting worse.

Speaker 5 (01:42:13):
With him at quarterback and they finally had a bench
him today. I mean, what do you do? I mean,
I know you were joking about here coming back in December?

Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
Right? Is that what it was?

Speaker 3 (01:42:21):
Or what that was the report?

Speaker 6 (01:42:22):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:42:22):
And then Aaron Rodgers kind of tried to put the
brakes on that a little bit to his credit. R
you even joked about like why not Robert Griffin the third?
I mean, seriously, I don't know what you do. It's
just you. I don't know if you want to say
that they botched it because they didn't get Joshua Dobbs.
And I'm sure there'll be some blowhards in New York
they're like, ah, they missed their opportunity. Well, Dobbs and
the Vikings just lost to the Broncos tonight. So you're

(01:42:43):
not bringing in another Aaron Rodgers. You're not bringing in
a dude that has the natural athletic ability of Zach Wilson.
But Arnie, this is just gross for how good that
defense has the potential to be.

Speaker 2 (01:42:55):
It is.

Speaker 4 (01:42:55):
You have to go ahead and find somebody, right like
the Vikings did.

Speaker 2 (01:43:00):
At least the Vikings, I mean, had.

Speaker 4 (01:43:04):
You I mean, did you see who came into was
a Tim Boyle came in for Zach Wilson. I mean,
like I said, as well, give RG three a chance,
whether it is to make it that point after what
you saw, It's just it's one bad thing after another.
And I can't believe there's not better options out there.
I just you know, you're wild, Well, it's crazy because

(01:43:26):
you have some really good quarterbacks in college, even if
they're not that great in the NFL, they got to
be better than some of the stuff that you got
out there, now, you know.

Speaker 5 (01:43:35):
Well, and then I guess you would have that same
answer to asking what would you do if you're the Bengals, Like,
there's just not a lot of options out there. There's
no trade deadline to save you. You're just you're stuck
with who you've got, right.

Speaker 2 (01:43:49):
What are the what are the rules? Now?

Speaker 4 (01:43:50):
You could dress two quarterbacks and then well you dressed three,
but the third one can't play right, right, unless there's
an injury. He's on your an active list, but I
mean he in an emergency situation. They now make it
where you could play that third one. We treat that
third with like a redheaded step child or something like that.
We gotta we gotta make it more easier for teams

(01:44:13):
to carry three quarterbacks. And I don't know, maybe you
get a maybe you get a better, better crew of
quarterbacks out there. If you're any good, you want to
play show. If you're any good, you're playing or starting somewhere.

Speaker 2 (01:44:25):
You know.

Speaker 5 (01:44:25):
No, I agree, all right, we're hitting your tweets next.
Plus we I hope we get to the post games.
Sound we got some great stuff. Oh Brandon Staley's future
very much a conversation and obviously a Monday night football
game to preview. But first, before we do any of that,
Steve de Seger one final time, as everything going on
at sports, what's up, Steve?

Speaker 8 (01:44:44):
That's another thing that we've talked about more than once
on This Sunday Night Show. The fact that Brandon Staley
was only hired as head coach because he was defensive
coordinator of the top ranked d in all of the
NFL with the Rams, and the defense has had nothing
but holes in his three years. And so they may
these changes on the staff and the offseason coming into
this year, but he stays the play.

Speaker 11 (01:45:04):
Caller on defense. Yes, that was asked in the postgame presser.
I hope you get to that.

Speaker 8 (01:45:09):
You mentioned the college football the Athletic had said a
team ranked in the AP top five this year has
not lost since the Oklahoma Texas game, which was a
month and a half now.

Speaker 11 (01:45:18):
We had the Alabama.

Speaker 8 (01:45:20):
Texas game, which was early season. LSU was highly ranked
and lost to Florida State.

Speaker 11 (01:45:24):
Very it was the only.

Speaker 2 (01:45:25):
Game that a top five team got beat against Steve.

Speaker 8 (01:45:28):
That would be Oklahoma and then number three Texas.

Speaker 2 (01:45:32):
What a great, great game that was, by the way.

Speaker 8 (01:45:35):
You know what also was a phenomenal game still this
year was the Washington Oregon game.

Speaker 11 (01:45:40):
I hope in Vegas we have a Pac twelve final
of Washington.

Speaker 3 (01:45:45):
I mean, no.

Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
Offense, Washington, Arizona will beat them.

Speaker 8 (01:45:47):
No offense to anybody else who might be a fan
of some other team, but my goodness, that was a
great game. Syracuse today fired its coach Dino Babers. NFL
Monday night, Philadelphia is at Kansas City. Chants of Rain
on a bye this weekend, where the same and Falcons
quarterback Desmond Ritter will be starting next week for Atlanta
against New Orleans. Colts and Patriots were on a bye
this weekend. The Pats two and eight. This Thursday is Thanksgiving,

(01:46:11):
so on Fox TV it's the Lions eight and two
hosting the Packers. Also Thursday. Washington at Dallas. Washington had
six turnovers, three interceptions, three fumbles and lost at home
to the Giants thirty one to nineteen. They sacked the
Giants quarterback nine times and still lost the game. Washington
in the division is zero to four this year. The Giants,

(01:46:34):
with Tommy DeVito at quarterback, had twelve drives, thirteen first
downs and won the game by double digits. Washington had
twenty eight first downs but still no w forget the helmet,
they did not get the w Miami wide receiver Tyreek
Hilled today ten catches one hundred and forty six yards
in a touchdown. Miami the home win over Las Vegas

(01:46:55):
twenty to thirteen. Receiving yards this season for Hill one
thousand two two.

Speaker 2 (01:47:00):
Wow, he's gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (01:47:02):
Thousand, He's gonna do it.

Speaker 8 (01:47:03):
That is first time in over sixty years in the
NFL that through your team's first ten games of a season,
you're already at twelve hundred yards receiving. That is ridiculous.
Raiders are one and five on the road, Also ridiculous.
Jalen Ramsey had two picks, including a late one in
the end zone eight and O'Connell one touchdown, three interceptions.
Vegas offense thirteen drives, twelve first downs. Raiders host Kansas

(01:47:27):
City next Sunday, the Dolphins at home five and oh
Miami led fourteen to thirteen at the half, twenty to
thirteen the final. The Dallas defense with seven to six
seven sacks at Carolina, Bryce Young there it is thirty
three to ten the final pick six for Deron Bland,
his fourth of the years.

Speaker 2 (01:47:46):
That's amazing, you know, it's crazy.

Speaker 8 (01:47:48):
That is silly. Dallas is seven and three. Jacksonville led
Tennessee twenty seven nothing late third quarter thirty four to
fourteen the final the Titans Derrick Henry ten carries thirty
eight yards.

Speaker 2 (01:47:59):
Amazing to me.

Speaker 8 (01:48:00):
Tennessee only had thirty eight plays in the whole game.
Jacksonville had sixty nine plays, same number of drives each team,
and Jacksonville had over thirty plays more. Houston beat Arizona
twenty one sixteen. Cardinals are two to nine oho and
six on the road here. Damian Pierce is still out
for the Texans. Devin Singletary another one hundred yard Russian

(01:48:22):
game in a touchdown linebacker Blake Cashman, and Houston had
nineteen tackles tonight, not a bad night in Denver for
Alex Singleton sixteen tackles and the Broncos came back and
beat the Vikings twenty one to twenty on a touchdown
pass with about a minute to go, and yet twenty
one twenty so they're still in the hunt right. This
is four straight wins. They end the Vikings five game

(01:48:43):
winning streak. Denver's next four games against Cleveland at Houston,
at the Chargers, at Detroit. Speaking of Cleveland, the Browns
are signing veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to their practice squad.
Cleveland got a field goal in the final seconds today
to beat Pittsburgh thirteen to ten. The Browns at home
are five and one. They only had one penalty in
the game today. Their tight end was targeted fifteen times.

(01:49:06):
David and Joku seven catches fifty six yards low, scoring
a combined seventeen punts in this game. Pittsburgh, with the
usual offense, thirteen drives, twelve first downs.

Speaker 11 (01:49:16):
It's a Cleveland victory.

Speaker 8 (01:49:18):
Buffalo and San Francisco each one Rams with a fourth
quarter comeback to beat Seattle. Notable the injuries for the
Seahawks Thursday nights Seattle as a home game against San Francisco.
Running back Kenneth Walker was out with an oblique injury today,
and also leaving for a time was the quarterback Gino
Smith with a bad elbow. He returned for the last
drive but did not win reliably. His backup Drew Locke

(01:49:40):
did throw an interception to help the Rams in the comeback.
As for the NBA late game, the Lakers beat Houston
by a point one oh five, one oh four game
winning free throw from Lebron James, who had thirty four
points and eight assists. The Phillies re signed pitcher Aaron
Nola to a seven year deal. There was another NHL
game in Eden today Toronto and overtime beat Minnesota. US

(01:50:03):
men's soccer tomorrow plays at Trinidad and their quarterfinal series
in the Nations League Tournament. The best teams from this
tourney will play next summer's Copa America, which the US
will host, including of course all those South American teams Brazil, Argentina, etc.
And the CFL's Great Cup was tonight, not on US TV,
streaming only apparently in the United States, but Montreal was

(01:50:26):
the winner on a late touchdown pass Yes, twenty eight
to twenty four. Cody Fajardo at Quarterbacks, Southern California native
from Nevada. He was in Nevada recruit when Colin Kaepernick
was there and he gets the win. The losing quarterback
Zat Calaros from the University of Cincinnati for the Winnipeg
Blue Bombers.

Speaker 11 (01:50:44):
Back to you, all.

Speaker 4 (01:50:45):
Right, thank you very much to say, by the way,
the Saga have a great Thanksgiving My friend.

Speaker 2 (01:50:50):
You as well.

Speaker 11 (01:50:51):
Hope we'll be back Friday.

Speaker 4 (01:50:52):
And you're not with you, Okay, So I did schedule
you for Friday.

Speaker 8 (01:50:56):
That yeah, that's that's how much. That's how much you
know or how much influence you have here. You don't
even know the schedule. You supposedly they.

Speaker 2 (01:51:06):
Put it out.

Speaker 4 (01:51:07):
I know, I gotta I know, I gotta work Thursday Friday.
I look, the rule is if I gotta work, then
you have to work.

Speaker 2 (01:51:14):
You understand.

Speaker 11 (01:51:15):
That's not quite that. By the way, and you referenced
this earlier.

Speaker 8 (01:51:18):
There is a Friday game streaming only, Jets hosting the Dolphins.

Speaker 11 (01:51:23):
That's a new thing.

Speaker 8 (01:51:23):
But of course you can imagine how much Amazon traffic
there is on a Black Friday. So that's the one
night day that they should be having an NFL game.
You know, they've already overpaid for the Thursday night games.
But you know what, the ratings have been shockingly good
for something that's not on an actual channel.

Speaker 5 (01:51:41):
All right, good stuff, Thanks Steve. Thanks don't forget. As
soon as we're done, our podcast is available for download.
BET works hard to make sure that it's up and
ready for you. So if you miss Todd Furman, if
you missed what we learned, you missed any of the
fun we had on the show, you can find it. However,
you consume podcasts Simply search Fox Sports Radio wherever you

(01:52:01):
get your podcast, and be sure to follow rate and
review the podcast five star review and say something nice
about Arnie to search Fox Sports.

Speaker 3 (01:52:09):
Go go ahead, No, no, go ahead?

Speaker 2 (01:52:10):
Good finish up.

Speaker 5 (01:52:11):
Yeah, search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcast,
and you'll see the show posted right after we get
off the air.

Speaker 4 (01:52:16):
By the way, I was speaking to Carissa Thompson about
some inside info we were getting.

Speaker 2 (01:52:22):
Can I still joke about that? Is that still a
out or no? We can't do that anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:52:26):
Yeah, you can joke about it.

Speaker 4 (01:52:28):
You can't tell me that like Rivers or Roethlisberger or
Drew Brees has not contacted teams. I refuse to believe
that they're sitting around doing nothing and they've not picked
up the phone with their agents and say, hey, I
could come back if they want me.

Speaker 2 (01:52:44):
I know that's got to be happening.

Speaker 5 (01:52:46):
You know, how quickly would you be picking up the
phone if I knowing those guys, Yeah, knowing what you
could make, knowing what's the potential there. I mean, you
would have to think, Arnie that you would be willing
to do whatever it takes to get back in the game,
like you're better than any of these guys exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:53:06):
Well, if you're a big ben, you're saying to yourself, Okay,
come on now, look what you got. I know you
probably didn't like me at the end there, but I'm
so much better than Picket. Bring me back until you
get another quarterback. But this is ridiculous. So I could
definitely see Roethlisberger.

Speaker 3 (01:53:22):
Wanting to come back.

Speaker 2 (01:53:23):
You know, Arnie's picks, your tweets, and the progressive play
of the day all coming up as we put a
wrap of this edition, Arnine Plank on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (01:53:34):
A, lets bring you the progressive play of the day,
Sunday Night Football, Denver. This is courtesy of ninety four
point one Broncos.

Speaker 13 (01:53:44):
Radio snap Plocket three, Snaplocket two at one all out,
Blitz on the way, give it up.

Speaker 2 (01:53:49):
Pruss Rush throws the ball to the end zone. It
is God touchdown Denver. That is Tortland seven. This a
thread zone touchdown. Not too shabby, huh.

Speaker 5 (01:54:02):
Progressive play of the day the game when he touchdown
passed at Courtland Sudden Progressive Insurance making bundling easy and affordable.

Speaker 4 (01:54:20):
Broncos back, they are right there, the thickest thing. Bronco
fan's got to be going crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:54:27):
Hey, how about a quick little double shot from a
man Colin here before we get to your picks. You
always ask, like, five hours before the show starts, where
should we start. I'm surprised that we're getting near the
end of our show. Brandon Daley still has a job
because Colin writes we should start if the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (01:54:45):
Will have a new coach tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:54:47):
But he could posib Yeah it could be.

Speaker 4 (01:54:49):
But you know what, you would hear more rumors right
now about him being fired tomorrow if that was true. Now,
not saying it's not going to happen, but I just
think you'd hear it spill out and get all over
the media. We're hearing that they're a report that they're
gonna move on and blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
So I'm not so sure that's going to happen.

Speaker 5 (01:55:08):
And then one more quick one here. As much as
I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving Day games, they could very
well be complete blowouts for the Lions. Cowboys and the Niners.
What do you think complete blowouts?

Speaker 4 (01:55:19):
No? No, I mean maybe the first two. But the
Niners Seattle game I think is gonna be a good one.
I don't I don't think that one's gonna be a blowout.

Speaker 5 (01:55:26):
I think that'll be a good game too. I'm looking
forward to that all right. Oh and by the way,
there was a Capricorn One mentioned on the show too.

Speaker 2 (01:55:34):
Oh was there?

Speaker 10 (01:55:34):
What is?

Speaker 2 (01:55:35):
I mentioned it? Though you mentioned it?

Speaker 5 (01:55:37):
Funny as it's up on Twitter, says Capricorn One was
a pretty good movie if I, as a sixteen year old,
know what it is, there's really no excuse for the latter.

Speaker 3 (01:55:47):
You're right, it's on me.

Speaker 5 (01:55:49):
All right, sneaking genius. Time for your picks, man, take
us home.

Speaker 4 (01:55:52):
Let's get at it. I finally had a really good week.
I would have gone seven to three in college, but
I added USC as a late one, so I went
seven and four. I'm now fifty eight and fifty seven
overall in college. That's fifty point four percent, so at
least of above fifty percent. But I'm ready to roll.
Big games coming up this weekend, Chris. Start with the

(01:56:14):
egg Bowl, right, It's still called the Egg Bowl. Mississippi.
That is Mississippi State. I'm gonna take Mississippi. I lay
the eleven and a half on the road in Starkville.
That's gonna be tough to do. That's a lot of lumber.
But Old miss a real good team. They can put
points on the board. Chris, I'm taking your ol Goldma Sooners.
I'm gonna lay the thirteen. I don't think that's that
big of a number, you know.

Speaker 5 (01:56:33):
I think it's a little bit lower because they don't
know if Dylan Gabriel is gonna.

Speaker 4 (01:56:35):
Play eleven eleven? Thank you eleven? What that BYU game?
I knew twenty four and a half was crazy, you
know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (01:56:45):
That was insane. BYU had been terrible. It's previous two weeks,
I mean terrible. They played out of their mind. That's
an awesome setting. I would go back every weekend if
I could. What an awesome, awesome stadium, what an awesome area.
Hitting GM out in Salt lakesity slash Provo, Man, it
was a blast.

Speaker 4 (01:57:01):
Chris, Iowa was one. I was at Nebraska. You want
to take a guess at the line in this one.

Speaker 2 (01:57:08):
I think it's one and a half, right.

Speaker 4 (01:57:09):
Pick them, pick them. I'll take Iowa then and a dog.
And by the way, you don't want to know what
the over under is on this one. Twelve twenty six
and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:57:20):
No, it's not stop, it's at least got to be
thirty right. No, it's it's twenty six and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:57:26):
Came in.

Speaker 2 (01:57:26):
It was pretty good last week for Nebraska games.

Speaker 4 (01:57:28):
I gotta take the over. I have to take the over.
Yet you're begging me to take the over and that
one I'm gonna watch though, I know, but that's such
a low number. I'm gonna take Texas A and thirteen
and a half against Texas Tech. By the way, if
Arizona plays Iowa in a bowl game, we won't show up.
I don't want to play any bolone teams like that.
I'll take Penn State team. No stop, I'm not playing

(01:57:50):
bolone teams like that. I'll take Penn State minus twenty
against Michigan State.

Speaker 2 (01:57:55):
I'll take Happy you're in a bowl game.

Speaker 4 (01:57:57):
Wow, I love Michigan. Lay the four against the buck Eyes.
They'll be in Ohio State.

Speaker 12 (01:58:03):
You known.

Speaker 4 (01:58:03):
I'm taking my Arizona Wildcats laying twelve and a half
against Arizona State, and I gotta take Oregon State plus
the fourteen and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:58:12):
Now there's a lot of numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:58:15):
Please can they win over Oregon? Please? Just one time?
In the NFL, I went six and three. I'm sixty.

Speaker 4 (01:58:24):
I'm sixty and forty one, which is fifty nine point
four percent. Not too shabby, not too shabby, almost sixty
sixty percent of picking one hundred, I'd be winning all
the sportsbook contest.

Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
I like the Lions lay in seven and a half
against Green Bay.

Speaker 4 (01:58:40):
I'll take Dallas minus s eleven against Washington, and I'm
gonna take Seattle plus the seven again San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (01:58:47):
You're right, Mike, Dolphins will crush the Jets.

Speaker 4 (01:58:49):
I'll lay the seven and a half, and I'm on
the giant bear wagon for a little bit. I'll take
the three and a half. I'll win them also this weekend.
So there you have my picks, two of them, as
you please. No longer strictly entertainment purposes, only.

Speaker 2 (01:59:02):
That that line on Friday is only seven and a
half for the Chess and the Dolphins. It's in It's
uh in New York, though.

Speaker 9 (01:59:10):
So.

Speaker 5 (01:59:12):
If you guys lose that game, you've got to retire
as a Dolphins fan.

Speaker 4 (01:59:15):
I'm gonna be I'm gonna be out. I'll be here
next week, but I'm gonna be out in two weeks.
I'm going to Costa Rica.

Speaker 3 (01:59:22):
Oh is that in two weeks?

Speaker 2 (01:59:23):
That's in two weeks, I'm going to Costa Rica. Wow,
look at you? Yeah, you make up tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:59:28):
We haven't even talked about Monday Night football as much
as we probably should. Eagles and Chiefs, what are you
thinking tomorrow night?

Speaker 4 (01:59:33):
I'm gonna go with Kansas City home team again. I
think they'll put the offense, will be moving. They've they've
kind of not had the offense going on all cylinders.
I think it's gonna be a close one. I can
see you coming down to a field goal at the end.

Speaker 5 (01:59:49):
Do you know what's interesting to me? We've had nasty
weather today in the in the Midwest, and kind of
because I'm not saying we're necessarily close to Kansas City,
but we'll get the same type of weather that they get. Right,
if they get anything like this tomorrow night, it's gonna
be gross.

Speaker 2 (02:00:05):
It's gonna be gross.

Speaker 3 (02:00:07):
Yes, But.

Speaker 5 (02:00:09):
Philly hasn't had that complete game yet, have they you know,
you're kind of waiting for them to just so kick
the absolute snot out of somebody, and I can't help in.

Speaker 3 (02:00:18):
One if there's a little revenge on their mind.

Speaker 2 (02:00:20):
Tomorrow night, you said the Chiefs haven't played all that well.

Speaker 4 (02:00:22):
Kansas City two and a half over under forty five
and a half.

Speaker 2 (02:00:27):
Hmm, that's interesting.

Speaker 5 (02:00:28):
Well, it'll be a fun one tomorrow night. Kansas City
and Philadelphia already. Have a great week. I'll see you
back on Friday night.

Speaker 2 (02:00:35):
We have a good Thanksgiving, my friend, have a great one.

Speaker 5 (02:00:37):
Yeah, everyone, have a great Thanksgiving, Lorrain a BT. Great
job by Steve Seger tonight and our entire crew behind
the scenes cutting up all the audio, making sure you
