Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Oh, let's go, stinking genius, go big boy, let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Let's go worry there for a little bit. Hey, are
you okay? Is everything going? Are your dog's attacking you?
Your teams are losing? I don't know if anyone saw that.
Did you put the roman numeral rundown on the intro
webs today? Ual number one was you?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It was Arnie. Yeah, I have a big scratch across
my face from the dog. And then the breeder actually
sent us an email wanting to know if we wanted
any of the brothers or sisters. And of course my
wife is giving me Yeah, it is giving me a
guilt trip going, oh, come on, wouldn't that'd be great

(00:44):
having another dog? I go, what do you? I go?
This dog? In case people the know, it costs five
thousand dollars. And then the fly. It had the fly
first class with the breeder's husband, you know who had
the fly first class with the dog.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
So that's like another twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
So another seventy five, that's gonna be like fifteen thousand.
And then with the grooming, and there's a I'm gonna
be twenty thousand in and that's like a luxury vacation
for crying out loud, So she's tried to guilty. Yeah,
it's like a car.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
She gotta know, I gotta car your mind.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
What kind of vacations are you taking?

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Arenie?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Spam you if you spending twenty grand on a vacation.
I gotta get more of those fillings at your game.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
That's crazy. Maybe it's first class accommodations thead, but I mean,
I'm like, that's that's that's a big responsible I can't
take care of two puppies. What is wrong with you?
I just guilt tripping the hell out of me. And
you know I was, I was gonna do it. I'm like,
I just do it already. You're you're driving me crazy.
But I'm like, geez I twenty g. You gonna drop

(01:47):
twenty g in a week on two dogs? What's wrong
with you? What are you crazy? I gotta be crazy
even to think about it. What does your wife do?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I just I need to know, because as a truephy husband,
I know what we make filling in. There's no way
you can spend twenty grand on a dog based on
our Sunday night show.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
No, No, that's not yeah, that's that's not a yeah.
So she's she's only gonna keep her job. Actually her
company got sold, so she's only probably gonna keep her job.
Oh no, yeah for like, yeah, another eighth to ten months?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Are the days? Are the days of a trophy husband?
Now on the on the end? Are you gonna have
to go find another shows? Are we gonna see the
Arnie Span Your podcast coming here pretty soon?

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Is that? What next? The video blog or whatever it's
called coming up? Coming up real soon? So yeah, I'm like,
what are you crazy? I'm not getting another dog. I
gotta spend more money on that. And hope your mom
isn't around U inherit money. I can't wait that long.
I can't do it. My mother in law is like
a hundred ninety five for crying out loud, Oh my gosh. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
We had to get a new house that had a
mother in law suite, so at least you don't have
to or live.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Does she live with you? No, she lives in one
of those fancy retirement places in Scottsdale.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Just you can go in to those things at like
fifty five years old, you know, if you just want
to go ahead and start living the Special Life. We
do have a lot to get to tonight beyond Roman
numeral number one, which is Arnie. I want to save
some of that for hour or two because I do
want to get Todd Furman's take on this lavish spending
that you have going on right now on dogs. But

(03:27):
I did want to start with what I guess is
the big story of the day.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
And no, it's not the NBA in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
No, it's not the playoff rankings or the tanking, or
it's not anything related to that. It's the Masters. And
I filled in for Bernie last night and I found
it fascinating. Yeah, it's a long night. I found it
fascinating how everyone went from being Rory's biggest fan Arnie.
Everyone's like, oh, Rory, He's the best. I love Rory,
and then on Twitter when he imploded a little bit

(03:56):
and lost his six shot lead, and then he said, hey,
I'm a mass Champions, so I know I've won it.
Once everyone started dogging him, it's like, look at him,
look at a pompous air aget Rory. He can't stand him.
And then all of a sudden he goes out today
and he wins it and everyone's like.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah, Rory, that's my guy.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Like, I mean, the weirdest eighteenth hole I think we've
ever seen, because I still don't know if the camera
has ever found where the two shots landed for those guys.
But what did you were you in? Were you in
on the Masters today or were you winning?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I probably watched more golf over the last two days
that they have, uh in my entire life. So because
there was really nothing else going on, you didn't give
me any other options. I mean, the NBA was pretty
much the stars were playing on Friday or Sunday, So
why the hell was I gonna go watch that? If
nobody was gonna play watch a little baseball? But my

(04:48):
meds keep losing one nothing to the a's or something.
We got swept by the a's, I believe. So I
was making music to my stomach watching that. There was
there was nothing else going on, So I'm like, you know,
I'll get into the Masters. I'll watch this thing. I
was pulling for Rory when he fell apart, I'm like, okay,
I want to see Justin Rose do it. That was

(05:09):
a pretty good story. What was he forty five years old?
He would have been the second oldest ever to win it.
I thought that would have been good. But I'm glad
Rory roared back. He's one of those athletes, polarizing athletes,
where he has a lot of people that love him
and a lot of people hate him. He's kind of
like Lebron James, to be honest with you, where he's
got a lot of detractors and he's got a lot

(05:29):
of people in his corner. Yeah. Could he be arrogant
and cocky, of course he can, but look who he is.
What really got me was didn't he say that he
drops his kid off at school in the morning, hops
hoops on his jets goes down, plays a round of golf,
it down at Augusta, and comes home before she's out
of school. I mean, you talk about being out of

(05:50):
touch with the reality. We all do that, Yeah, we
all do that.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
For cracked up so hard at that because I don't
know who it was, Jeff, Oh my gosh, who's the
ESPN Jeff Darlington, Yeah, Arnie. They tried to play that
out as some sort of sob story. It's like Rory
would take his child to school, then he would fly
on a private jet and he'd play golf and then
he'd fly on that private jet back.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
But he was only allound of pretzels. Yeah, how is
he gonna survive? Oh, he's only allouned pretzels. And I'm
thinking to myself, point you talk about having get advantage
over over something like that, to take a private fight
and go down there, play around a golf and get
on back. What a great life that is. I mean,
we could even think about something like that. It's just amazing.

(06:35):
So I was thinking of it like that. You know,
one of the if you don't say his pomp is
that's one thing. But a lot of athletes live that life.
So you know, what can you say about it? We
just can't relate to something like that. Hold on here,
hold on here, buddy.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
You know what I did two weeks ago, right, I
took a private jet flight to Dallas. So you can
say that maybe we're not living that life, but at
least one of us recently has lived a private jet.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Locke, you you never told me that you took a private.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Well, you never ask about me. You never put anything
about me or my life in the rundown. This is
the Arnie Show. I'm just the sidekick.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I I and I'm doing it again in two weeks. Wow.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
I don't know if the word is chosen.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
But our athletic director, Roger Dinny, the new athletic director
at Oklahoma, is kind of doing what they used to
call like a Barnstormer tour or whatever, where they go
to different places and they sit and they talk with
donors and boosters and fans and get to know him.
And so I got a phone call a while back
and like, Hey, do you want to go to Dallas
with Roger? And yeah, you we're best friends now. So

(07:44):
he's Roger, right, he's not mister Dinny Roger.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Why not?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I mean, come on, dude, I know how to I
can sell ice to eskimos, and I'm one of the
broadcasters and they like to have someone there to ask
him questions and I can field questions.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
So it's like I'm the host.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
And when I why wouldn't they want to take me?

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Arnie name the starting quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Uh, Sam Bradford close enough.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
See, I'll tell you what can I go?

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah? You can show up there and go.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
So it's funny that you say, I just to kind
of share the experience when they started when they started
playing that up like some sort of look at the dedication.
I'm like, as someone who is a freaked out flyer,
I can't stand a fly flying. I don't know if
I can go back. I don't know Arnie's gonna fly
commercial again.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
How many cedar is it?

Speaker 3 (08:42):
I bet you could probably sit. You could have probably
set eight to twelve.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
And they're comfortably Oh wow, Wow is the food aboard
and booze and all that stuff? No?

Speaker 3 (08:52):
This well, I mean it was a flight to Dallas,
so it was like a thirty minute fly, so it
really was all that.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Yeah. Still, though, my.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Point is when I heard that, I kind of thought, please, please,
don't try to build this up as some sort of sacrifice.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Man, oh, look what he did.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
He flies in a jet and then he goes and
he plays Augusta and then he flies back on the
private jet afterwards, and then they're trying I'm like, what,
So with that in mind, do you think this was
an event? Do you think this was a final round
Arnie that drew a few more people in.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Do you get the.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Sense that this might be a pretty good TV rating,
This might be a pretty good number. And again, I
think We've reached the point where we don't get too
carried away now in the sports world about TV ratings,
because I mean, there's a market for live sports and
it's outdrawing everything that's on TV. But I'm just curious,
do you feel like this is going to be one

(09:48):
of those majorly viewed broadcast with the meltdown and there's
a lot of I mean, I think a lot of
people were kept him by. There were storms and rain everywhere,
if that even matters, But what'd you make did you
feel like a lot of people we're in on this today?

Speaker 2 (10:01):
I think I think there'll be the numbers will be
a little bit higher than probably usual. The fact that
Rory was going further back to back and that he
had the lead and everybody talked about how it was
the biggest lead after thirty six holes, and and he
did lose it. He didn't play his best golf on
on on the third day. There was no doubt about that.
I was watching a lot of that, so you know,
people probably toothed and say, Okay, let's see if he's

(10:22):
gonna hold on or fall apart. And he didn't disappoint
for the Tractors. He fell down he fell down to
what fourth at one point two off the lead, So
good for him for bouncing back. And you know, I
like that they showed his hometown in his area and
they were rooting for him hard. Yeah that was cool. Yeah,
I think I think there'll be a few more people

(10:43):
probably tune on. In numbers wise, I think they'll do
pretty well. But overall, though, man, I'll tell you I
was thinking about this if I went down to the Masters.
Did you see that? You know those gnomes? Did you
see you see those things? Those things that they sell
at the UH at the store down there. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,

(11:03):
so for eighteen thousand dollars, but you could buy them
for forty dollars at the store. I'm like, okay, I'll
take a couple of those. I think you can only
buy two of those. Man. I'm like, I got to
get down to Augusta and wait in line for some
of this stuff. I could make a fortune. So yeah,
that was crazy when I saw something like that.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
All is that a bucket list item for you to
go to gust and see the Masters?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
No, not at all, not at all. Zero.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
It wouldn't even make my top twenty. I promise you
that zero.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
It wouldn't make your top twenty if things you want
to do zero interest in that zero. I mean maybe
I want to pimento sandwich. That's about it. But well,
you know you can order well they will bring it
to you.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
I mean you can get the I think it's called
the Taste of the Masters, and they'll send you like
the pimento cheese and the barbecue and the cookies and
all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
So you can get that at your house if you want.
I may do that. I may go ahead and do
something like that, but I have no interest.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Not my type.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
I'm from the Bronx, New York. You you have to
understand that I'm not like the rest of you guys
with the silver spoons in your mouth and all that
I've you know, I've I grew up in the streets,
so I did. I don't relate. You went to Palisades
High School? Yeah, but you have to understand something. And
I really hate to admit this on the air. The
only reason I went to Palisades High schools was they

(12:22):
used to Phonia dress. I didn't. I didn't live in
the I didn't live in the Palisades High District. What
are you kidding me. I couldn't have My parents couldn't
afford something like that. We knew somebody that used to
live in the Bronx with us, and they moved out
to the Palace district and we used their their bogus address. God,
can they get in trouble. They have to forfeit all

(12:43):
the JV games I played back back then, I was
alred to.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Say, wouldn't it be funny if it's like when I
know Seinfeld references. I mean, I don't even know if
Brie or Mary know who Seinfeld is.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
I do know that the Sager does.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
But there was a great Seinfeld episode whenever the the
librarian was getting after him for the book that he
didn't return. Wouldn't it be great if there was some
guy who was in charge of JV eligibility for the
Palat's aides back in the late eighties and they're coming
for you because you were illegally there and you just
admitted it on the air as addressed, So Gustus not

(13:20):
on your list, that's fine, But so then I guess
any conversations about the buzz around it, like how they
handled the par three, the comments about the dude perfect guy,
seeing Kevin Hart there, Jason Kelsey. None of that even
registers on your radar. Then you couldn't care about the
code and the ethics and all of the properness our

(13:42):
own masters right.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Code bothers me? Matter of fact, I saw. I don't
know if I said that to you, and stuff that
you can't say on the air. I said, if Chris Plank.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Was doing it, I don't think you good. I didn't
see that. Oh you didn't see that.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
I go, if Chris Plank was doing that play bike play,
I mean, I don't think you could pull it off.
To be honest with you, it is here. I got
it right here. A matter of fact, it says here.
Never refer to the gallery or patrons as a mob
or crowd. Never estimate the size of the gallery. Never

(14:17):
refer to a player's earnings. Why can't you do that? Yeah,
Never refer to the master's prize money. De emphasize the
player's antics. Yeah, I mean, they get it says here.
Do not compare any holes in Augusta National with those

(14:38):
in another golf course. This is stuff that you literally
can't say.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
It says here.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
The water in front of the thirteenth green is not
to be called Ray's Creek, but a tributary of Ray's Creek.
I don't even know what hell.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
I just that you don't call it raised Creek. You
can call it mutari of rays Creek.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
I guess. So make no reference to Master tickets having
been sold out.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Do you know what's funny is I actually I didn't
get to watch. I was driving today, so I listened
to the entire well not the entire, but the back nine.
I listened to the back nine on the Master's radio feed,
and I found it curious that every single time there
was like on seventeen and I think it was eighteen

(15:34):
where maybe seventeen where Rory and a couple of I
think even Adam Scott was over there too, and they
found themselves in the area where Tiger had shipped in
in like ninety nine or two thousand or something. And
I did find it interesting that they would always refer
to Arnie former shots by like Masters champions that were made.

(15:56):
It'd be like, oh, over there on seventeen, that's the
area where.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Player chip, right.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
So I guess maybe they want to sell on the
history and kind of the uniqueness of the Masters instead
of doing anything that would compare it to any other
golf courses. Why do you think the prize money can't
be mentioned? Why do you think they're against that?

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Maybe because it's not as good as some of the
other prize but yeah, they maybe maybe that has something
else to do with it. Don't guess where the ball
may be. Do not estimate the length of a pot.
They have all kinds of rules. Who got tu Wait? Wait, wait,
you can't estimate the length of a putt? No, Well,
the guys I were listening to are done. They're booted.

(16:40):
I mean they're out. That's what they did the whole time.
I mean, what you can't do that when you're doing
radio for golf and they have a lot more what more?

Speaker 4 (16:49):
That's kind of controversial, to be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Go ahead. I wasn't going to read it, but I
guess I'm pretty much should. But it's the last thing
on the list. It says, and this was this was
by Darren Ravel. So I just want to tell you
how I got the list from. And it says the
list of Augusta National handed to television announcers in nineteen
seventy nine.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
Okay, this was nineteen seventy nine.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Instead of identifying Lee Elder as the first black man
to play in the Masters, say the first person of
his race to play in the tournament. Interesting, yeah, so
that was back in nineteen something. But back in nineteen something,
and they also did have women, right, I'm true. Well,
who's like Conna Lisa Rice now is a member? Right? Am?

(17:33):
I right about that?

Speaker 4 (17:34):
I think so.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
I mean, like you said, you don't care about playing.
I want to play around there. I want to go there.
I want to be there for the Masters. But it's
not one of those where I drop everything to watch four.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Rounds of golf this week.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
And I got a buddy of mine that I work with,
legendary radio guy in Oklahoma, Mike Steely. He's on our affiliate,
my station that I work on in Norman Carry.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
He takes Thursday and Friday off to sit at home
and just watch the Masters.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Now, oh, Dad's discussed thing. That's that's crazy. I mean,
who does something like that really? Come on now? I mean,
my goodness, man, just to watch the Masters?

Speaker 4 (18:10):
To watch it? I have a question you got, yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
Go ahead, what's the difference between the first two days
versus like today? Because I watched it all day, but
I didn't watch Friday, Thursday, Friday Saturday, but I watched
it all day today, So like, what's the appeal of
watching the first two days?

Speaker 4 (18:29):
I guess, Okay, yeah, And then here's the other thing.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
By the way, Brandon Mirro running the show tonight. She
fired me from my Friday night show, but she's back.
Mary Mack on the Ones and Tuesday, Steve de Sega
on an update coming up in ten minutes. I don't
know the year, but Brie, it's a fair question because Arnie,
we never got the first two rounds, like we wouldn't
get this full day coverage. So you say, what makes

(18:54):
Thursday and Friday so different? We never got those early
morning rounds. We would get the afternoon when DBS would
come on and that would be Jim Nants would.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Say hello friends, they're on the back nine.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
You'd get like maybe maybe, maybe, you'd get like twelve holes?

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Could you? Could you imagine if any other sports entity
tried to do that. We got the football game for you,
but we're not gonna air the first half of the game.
We're just good four four half time on? How about that?
That's crazy?

Speaker 3 (19:22):
You know what is as I guess bad at ESPN
is at some events when they took over the Masters,
you know, they never had the Part three tournament that
was televised live, so we get that on Wednesdays, they
never had anything on the practice range, Like you couldn't
watch guys hit it was that. That's how exclusive it was.

(19:43):
So I think a lot of that pool and that allure.
I mean, correct me if you think I'm wrong, Arnie,
is just because we never got to see it, right, what.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
The the well that? But could you watch it on
the app? I don't know if it was available on
the apps? No, no, hell.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Though, I mean we're talking pre days. I mean the
app has really only become a thing. Guys.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Everything is a couple of years ago.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
But I want to say for like the last decade,
you know, I'll say, yeah, I think they've only been
airing the Thursday Friday rounds for like the last couple
of years, and someone will be like, yeah, dude, it
was like nineteen ninety nine. But again, for the longest
time we didn't have it. But Rory won, and I
think people are fired up about it. If you guys
want to get into it.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
He'll make no mistake about it, Chris, It's not like
I could you imagine if Tiger won or film one
or so all we would talk about tonight. Oh my goodness,
the the world would stop as it is right now.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
First time since nineteen ninety four we had a Master's
without Tiger Woods are Phil Mickelson, which just seems crazy.
All right, we got a break Disager's update coming up.
It's been a busy day in sports. Final day of
the regular season in the NBA. The NBA was leaking
oil down the stretch. But did we get a good

(20:57):
final day of the season. We'll talk about it next.

It's Arnie going here on Fox Sports Radio. Is it
to the wire? Where do you stand on and how
the NBA season handled the last I don't know if
it's fair to say month. Maybe we can whittle it

(22:08):
down and say the last two weeks.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
You have a problem with the way this played out.
Are you concerned about tanking? Are you concerned about resting players?
Or is it just the era we're in if we're
gonna play eighty two games?

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Oh, it's been a debacle. It's been an absolute debacle.
I don't know if it was Friday or today. Friday,
I think one hundred and sixty eight players set out
NBA games.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
I don't know how many.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Set out today Friday Sunday. I don't know the conference today.
I know every player sit on the Knicks didn't play.
Bridges played for twenty seconds just to keep his streak going.
So that's horrible. Absolutely horrible, and just trying to keep
them above sixty five seems like an absolute chore. I

(22:55):
believe the integrity of the game is certainly at stake here.
Banking is out of control. And to make it worse,
even though they found there was no wrongdoing, I gotta
watch Sacramento foul with the game tied or something like that. Oh, no,
we made a mistake.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
We made a mistaken.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
I got Well, then he's an idiot. I'm sorry to
say that, But what do you mean he made a mistake.
He didn't know the score, and his assistants didn't know
the score, and none of the players on the bench
shouldn't know the score, and no nobody said, hey, coach,
maybe we shouldn't foul with the score tied. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
I just maybe I would have said something the game coach.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
I don't know if I'm gonna foul with the score tied,
Let's let's kind of play it out, you know. So
the whole thing has a bad optics right now, and
it's horrible, absolutely horrible.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
That's all people could talk about, you know.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Charles Barkley said, one big bong ball, one team. Maybe
that keeps you from tanking maybe a little bit.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
I and finding these owners that's nothing, that's chump change.
And I'm literally saying that's it's chump change to these guys.
They just don't care. I don't have a solution. Maybe
the one ping pong ball per team is the best
way to do it. Then what instentive do you really
have to you know, be the worst? You know you

(24:20):
just don't want to make the playoffs, I guess, or
you know, whatever bottom you want to be. But it's
it is horrible right now, Chris, and I think a
lot of people. I think it's gonna show up in
the television ratings. I've never been this disinterested in the
end of the season before in my life. Usually I'm like, Okay,

(24:40):
if the Knicks win, they'll play this team. If they
don't win and this team win, and I didn't even
know who the hell they were going to play until
the end, I'm like, okay, they'll play Atlanta. And that's
only because I saw that on Twitter. I wasn't even
searching out the answer. So it goes to show you
one of the most important times of the NBA season
on who your team's gonna play in the first round,

(25:01):
and who's going to be in the playing game? No
interest because what they've done, because they've taken a seat
on the bench, they've shown that it doesn't make a
difference to them, So why is it going to make
a difference to me? Chris?

Speaker 3 (25:15):
So when Draymond Green says, fine them, you don't feel
like that's gonna make any difference at all.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
If the players are the owners, right, not the only
why would you find the players?

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah, I mean the the owner?

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Well, the owners just have too much money. What are
you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (25:33):
I mean, like I said, fifty one hundred thousand, that's
nothing to these guys. They're making you know, one hundred
dollars bills or just flying around. So there's nothing you
could do to them until you change the rules. That
that's what's gonna happen if you don't change the rules.
I mean, what about your OKC thunder? It was by.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
Thirty two today? You know that, right? That's just amazing?
They who did they play me?

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Was I in the game? That? It's amazing?

Speaker 4 (26:02):
Seriously, I mean I didn't even know you could.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Is the end of the bench that bad on some
of these teams is just crazy. I don't understand what's
going on. It's amazing.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
Well, first of all, we all have to take a
moment and accept that Oklahoma City is going to win
their second straight.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
NBA title probably and just embrace it.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
So so as soon as you do that, then we
can start having a conversation about what's going on in
the NBA, because real quick and I noticed the Saga
is standing by.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
But before we get to Steve Arnie, that's why.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Everyone is now doing this even more so than they
did before. How did the thunder rebuild so quickly?

Speaker 2 (26:44):
They tanked?

Speaker 3 (26:44):
They had an elegant tank, and of course it helped
the Los Angeles Clippers through in Shay Guldjes Alexander and
the Paul George trade. But Chad Holmgren first round pick,
how they get him tank? Jalen Williams first round pick?
How they get him tank? And I think people see that.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
How did that? Did that worked for the Sixers?

Speaker 3 (27:06):
I understand that, but it's it's what have you done
for me lately? And this is the most recent so
and this.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Is a deep draft too.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
This is a problem.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Yeah, a lot of youngsters, a lot of youngsters. Steve
is Sager, Ladies and gentleman is in the house to
get us caught up on everything going on in the
world of sports.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
What's going on? Steve? By the way, the Sag, I
got the best trivia question for you, two guys, the best. Okay,
what do Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, will Be gold Goldberg,
Kelsey Grammer and Kevin Costler and Steve the Sager have
in common? They all have a birthday today. They're all

(27:45):
seventy years old. Hap big birthday. Actually, one of the
seventy years old I love it. One of the three
things that.

Speaker 8 (27:55):
Made me very, very happy, even though there was another
candle on the cake, is that I'm still younger than Arnie.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Wow, about seventy What you talk about?

Speaker 2 (28:06):
What you're talking about? Is it seventy? Is it the
Big seven? Zero? No?

Speaker 4 (28:11):
I stopped I'm not twenty five.

Speaker 8 (28:13):
Put it as we discussed on the prior show, there
came a certain number where I just stopped counting, so.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
I would have to do the math.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
You just stop counting.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
Honestly, unlike Artie, it is not seventy. I can assure
you certainly of that.

Speaker 8 (28:26):
But the matchups are set with the NBA regular season
is over. We had all the Eastern teams playing pretty
much and then all the Western Conference team with their
season finales later tonight. Everything is final and for those
who are keeping crap. Memphis lost its eighth straight game,
lost one thirty two one oh one at Houston. Houston
opens the playoffs at the Lakers, who will stay as

(28:50):
the four seed in the West. They'll be hosting Houston
in the first round starting Saturday night. Lakers won their
finale against Utah one thirty one, one oh seven. The
Denver nug It's won their twelfth straight game one twenty eight,
one eighteen at San Antonio. Jamal Murray was out for
Denver shoulder injury. Victor winbin Yama the Spurs was out
with sore ribs. The Nuggets win keeps them as the

(29:11):
number three seed in the Western Conference, facing Minnesota starting Saturday.
Minnesota beat New Orleans one thirty two to one twenty six.
In the last game to finish. Portland defeated Sacramento one
twenty two to one ten. Portland plays at Phoenix late
Tuesday in a play in Golden State. Was at the
Clippers tonight. Clips won one fifteen to one ten and
the Clippers will host Golden State again in a play

(29:34):
in late Wednesday. Kawhi Leonard of the Clips was out
tonight with a sprained ankle. Dallas beat Chicago Cooper Flag
and the MAVs left early with a sprained ankle. Phoenix
won at Oklahoma City or whatever was left of Oklahoma City.
Thunderlisted ten players is out, including Shay Giljis Alexander out
with an oblique injury.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
They say, so, oh wow, Phoenix.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Yeah, hope that gets good.

Speaker 8 (29:55):
Yeah, they're only going to have but fifty two days off.
So Phoenix won thirty three the final in the East
and the regular season. Atlanta lost badly at Miami and
Toronto won easily at home against Brooklyn, so the Raptors
move up to earn the number five seed in the
Eastern Conference. Toronto will face Cleveland in the first round.

(30:16):
That'll be the opening game game one Saturday. The first
round doesn't open till Saturday, it's the play in Tuesday
that starts on Tuesday. Cleveland won its finale against Washington,
a team that finished by losing ten straight, seventeen and
sixty five the Washington record. To conclude, Detroit and Boston

(30:37):
each got victories. The Boston win was against Orlando, which
fell to the eighth seed. So it has a playing
game at Philadelphia Wednesday. Charlotte and Philadelphia with wins. Phillies
victory was easy against Milwaukee, won twenty six to one
oh six. The Bucks finished thirty two and fifty. Giannis
Antennacumpo is out again with the bad knees, so he

(30:57):
missed the final four weeks, played just thirty six games
this season, and Doc Rivers will not return as Milwaukee's
head coach. Doc Rivers Hall of Famer. And that's like,
not in jest. He actually made it into the Hall
of Fame. That yeah, Well, stand by who says he's
done in its three years in Milwaukee. He lost in

(31:19):
the first round twice and then missed not only the
playoffs but the play in and is still owed an
eight figure salary.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
For next season. It's a great, great life.

Speaker 8 (31:27):
Speaking of riches, the Masters finished up today. Rory McElroy
for the second straight year as the champs. Scottie Scheffler
finished in second place, one stroke back after a final
round sixty eight Montreal in the NHL A winner Boston
as well the NHL regular season ends on Thursday. Great
story at NASCAR today, Ty Gibbs with his first victory

(31:48):
in the Cup Series with his grandfather Joe Gibbs. Of
course there and Gibbs led just the last twenty five laps.
Theonick Center regained the number one ranking in tennis after
beating Carlos Alcarez in the windy Monte Carlo. Finally a
clay court event. Baseball Tonight's Yes Sunday Night Baseball on
regular TV this evening. Don't get used to it. Atlanta
beat Cleveland thirteen to one. Chris Sail, the winning pitcher,

(32:11):
went six innings. Texas and Jacob de Grom beat the
Dodgers five to two. Wins for San Diego and Arizona.
Tampa Bay sent the Yankees to a fifth straight loss,
five to four, even though Aaron Judge did have a
two run homer top of the ninth.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Back to you.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Mets and the Yankees have both lost fivest.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
Mets lost again to the A's.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
They's are juggernaut.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Yes, five straight wins. You just need four hits to
get a victory.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
In League baseball, Jeff McNeil had like six or seven
hits in the series.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
That's more than he had the three years he was
with the Mets.

Speaker 8 (32:44):
Former Met and as well, Brandon Nemo's a former Met
and had a great weekend.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
At Dodger Stadium thousand.

Speaker 8 (32:50):
I think Jacob de Grom the win today, former Met,
He's going to be one hundred and that guy.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
Meanwhile, the Mets have eighty cold him miners. Craig kimberl Oh,
my gosh have we made of NBC's coverage of baseball.
I don't mind it.

Speaker 8 (33:11):
I'm first off happy regardless of network that baseball's on
regular TV.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
I really think that.

Speaker 8 (33:16):
The good idea ABC had to use visiting essentially visiting analysts,
rotating analysts. Whatever town they're in, they'll use analysts from
there or connected to that team. I think that's not
going to work well because in the two games that
I've seen, the play guy play by play guy winds
up having to ask questions for three straight hours to elicit.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Some sort of response from these people. They're they're not
equals in the booth.

Speaker 8 (33:44):
These are not regular broadcasters, and it's I would like
just a normal call of play by play and back
and forth.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
There's no back and forth.

Speaker 8 (33:53):
It's like the other guys don't talk or have something
to offer or less play by play not only does
his own play by play, but tease up the other
people in the booth not working well.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
You should do it, Plint.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
What do you think that should be your job? You
like it? Arnie?

Speaker 4 (34:07):
No, I gotta I'll do it.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Boord the tears. I couldn't handle it.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
He'd be bored to tears if I did it. When
we come back, Oh, there you go. Hey, when we
come back, we'll took our first sweep through the tweets
to the show tonight. That's Steve de Seger with updates
Love another one coming up in about twenty minutes, plus
Todd Furman in hour two.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
It's Arny in Plank right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
All right, it's Arny in Plank here on Fox Sports Radio.
Once you just send me, I can't get it to download.
What'd you just send me?

Speaker 2 (34:39):
That was a picture of this guy that I know
that has a picture of him and Kerr hanging out.
And he didn't even go to Pali with us. He
went to UNI, the Rivals School. Uh oh, but he
went to the University of Arizona. So that's why he
knows kerr Okay actually went on some funny he became
an actor because they filmed Fat Revenge to the Nerds

(35:00):
at our school and he got a part in the
movie and that propelled him to becoming an actor for
his life.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
That's what uh what what role did he play? He
was the you know the talent show that they did.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Yeah, guy, that was them, that with the plaid coats
on and stuff like that. That that was them.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
Are you watching Inside the NBA right now? By chance?

Speaker 2 (35:28):
I have it on, but I'm not watching it.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
They're interviewing Grace and Michael, who have become kind of
a power couple. They were Have you seen the meme
when they're talking and she kind of turns to him
and goes, what the app you're talking about?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Yes, Indiana fans, right, yeah, exactly, get interviewing.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
Yeah, they have them on right now. They're talking to
the couple, So I mean that I listen. I think
it's a cool strike.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
I thought you were going to say they were like
a romantic couple that's in the movies now, like Jenner
and that other guy whatever his name is, I don't
know his name.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Well, I would Timothy Chalamagne Yeah, I thought that's who
that was on there. You know, he's a big sports guy.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
I could see Timothy Chalamagne being a big Arny Spaniard fan.
I could see him. I could see him being a
guy that listened to you back in the day. But
I think that's a pretty good indication of how man
the playoffs are and how little interest there is in
what's going on in the NBA playoffs.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Whenever you I'm watching the clip by Cora whenever you
have to.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Interview this couple and they're famous because he's telling her
a story and she turns out and says, that's you.
What the f are you talking about? She's adorable by
the way. She's just she's just precious. I mean, I
can't even imagine those bombs spraying out of her mouth.
But I mean, it's it's it's awesome. But I guess

(36:56):
do you know what they were arguing about?

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (36:58):
I have no idea, but I did see it making
its rounds on Twitter.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Yeah, did you see, Bree what they were arguing about?
Because okay, they were arguing and talking about the academic
rigor of a liberal arts education and essentially how it
can be updated for the current economic status and job market.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
NBA game too, Yeah? Whoa top topic?

Speaker 3 (37:24):
First of all, I mean we must really be having
as Dustin Rhodes once said, had times in the NBA.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
If that's our big story right now, I would have
been arguing with my wife of like, do you think
I could finish two more hot dogs besides the two
I just finished? Something like that. That would have been
in a topic like what that was? No doubt about that?

Speaker 4 (37:45):
You want need a couple of tweets on the NBA
right there's a lot. We're getting a lot. We are
d D rights.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
The NBA players are so lame taking days off. Brent
Burns of the Colorado Avalanche just played his one thousand
and fourth consecutive games and is sixty one away from
breaking the NHL record at one thousand and sixty five.
He's forty one years old. Hockey is way more demanding.

(38:13):
NBA is just weak.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Yeah, now, I think I don't want to players aren't
he But it's not always the players making this decision, no.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
But they're making most of it. We know that they
started this. This is what it became. We talk about
load management. That's not something we made up. That's something
that started with the players. They've brought it to this.
We've had the we've had to change rules like the
sixty five game rule just to go ahead and try
to you know, alter this or you know, kick it

(38:43):
to the curb a little bit. But that's that's what
they get. This is what you get when you allow
this to happen. So they bought it on themselves. They
did good.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Question by JP which fan base do you think is
happiest to see the players time with their team come
to an end? Miami and Tua, Arizona and Kyler Murray
or the Vermont rec League and Arnie Spanier.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
I may go back up to Ravon every once in
a while, but I'm sure they missed me. I'm gonna
say it's Murray and Arizona. I think they're gonna go ahead.
They're the happiest because they've probably had enough of his
antics with Tua.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
You know, he's had.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Injuries to lead the Dolphins to the playoffs. Did have
like two good seasons, I believe, So I'm gonna but
he made so much money. I'm gonna say it's Murray
and the Arizona fan base.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Though Arnie writes UCLA Dodger, Frank, you think going to
the Masters is a pain, at least you aren't at
Coachella this weekend either. Well you're not even complaining about
the pain of going to Augusta.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
You just don't want to do it. You know what
so funny is look at Robin Numero number twelve.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
This guy's thinking, just like me, I have Coachella as
one of the topics to the show today.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
Really, yeah, Robin Numero number twelve.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
I I.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
Have not really paid attention to Coachella, So let's pause
on that. Yeah, and let me get does this have
to do with Justin Bieber or No?

Speaker 4 (40:08):
I just ask you if you're interest didn't going?

Speaker 2 (40:10):
I mean I heard some people got sick from one
of the food vendors out there, so they were you know,
it was like.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
Well, yeah, I heard the Bears fans are a little
bit worried.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Because I heard about that.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Yeah, because I almost said, Calamary, it's another Ou quarterback
Kayleb Williams so spotted with the Jenners.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Yeah, yeah, I heard that.

Speaker 4 (40:29):
You don't want to be about.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
And mister Nobody with apologies to Shady Sean for gimmick infrigement,
you're leading with golf, not the fact that the NBA
teams make the playoffs tank their final game, not baseball,
but golf will dive into it next.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
On Fox Sports Radio, you're.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio Hour two.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
Let's go, Johnny Plank. You're on Fox Sports Radio, Jeff
good Week.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
By the way, I know we just kind of touched
on Roman numeral number one, but uh, I don't know.
Did you make your way to any exclusive resorts in Arizona,
meet any beat Riders or anything?

Speaker 2 (41:07):
All good, No, everything's good, just quiet. I got to
fill in this week on Tuesday, so I'm gonna be
filling in with Mike Harmon, who, by the way, was
out here like twenty minutes from my house and didn't
call me.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Why so you cannot go do anything with him?

Speaker 2 (41:23):
I would have met him halfway.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
I gotta tell you something. Well, it's funny when you think.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
About it, yeah, that you expect everyone to come see you,
and then when they do, you're.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Like, oh, I'm so busy. I just got so.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
Much going on. What was Harmon doing out there? Was
he seeing a musical?

Speaker 2 (41:46):
Yeah, so he was seeing a musical out He brought
his daughter they were looking at the Vassar I think
is where she's going to go to college.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
So that's gonna cost them millions and millions of dollars. Yeah,
that's not cheap.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
He's got that going for him otherwise.

Speaker 4 (42:00):
Yeah, that's been It's good.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
I'm filled in with him on Tuesday and ready to
get back to Void and some hoop with the old
men and ready to row.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
I have a tweet here that I want to hit
before we go too much further, And I got a
message that I want to share it too. Man Sean
Shady Sean for twenty right, how long till you address
the elephant in the room? The latest news on Diana
Rassini and Mike Rabel's relationship.

Speaker 4 (42:26):
Well, let me tell you something. Yeah, I am enamored
with this story. I can't get enough of it.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
And we talked about that last night right here on
Fox Sports Radio that I have a little bit of
an issue with this story. Not not any I'm not
here trying to not here trying to come across pointing fingers.

Speaker 4 (42:44):
Or saying how dare he or how dare she?

Speaker 3 (42:47):
I feel really terrible for their their husband and their wives,
just really embarrassing but I don't know how to explain it.
I just can't get enough of it. I'm not trying
to judge, I'm not trying to be clutching my pearls.
I just want every single little nugget of information. And
some people get mad at you. Some people are like
nobody cares, move on. And then you have Mary Ellen White,

(43:09):
who slid into my DNS last night.

Speaker 4 (43:12):
Arnie my DNS. She writes, I'm a Patriots fan in Massachusetts.
I'm seventy four years old, and I can't get enough
of this Vrabel's story either. I've lost respect for him.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
At his press conferences, he always calls on a female
reporter first says he knows it's hard for them in
this business. Oh, I see your work in Mike Vrabel.
All right, so Arnie, there's me, there's Mary Ellen. I
guess there's shady Sean. Where do you stand in this
story right now?

Speaker 2 (43:45):
I am very intrigued at this. There's many different ways
of looking at this. First of all, you know, he
won the Coach of the Year and he won by
three votes.

Speaker 4 (43:53):
She had to vote.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
You wonder what would happen if she didn't, you know,
give him if she did give him his vote, So
I'm curious to see what happens like that. Did you
see all the time she's done interviews kind of ripping
on her husband. I do feel bad for the other spouses.
But there is something I don't think people realize, and
I haven't heard it being brought up.

Speaker 4 (44:16):
So okay, I'm here, but you.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
I have a friend of mine. I mean, I've spoken.
I know a lot of attorneys, as you know, a
lot of attorneys in my family. Also, it's not all
doom and gloom for Rassini. To be honest with you,
if she does get fired, this is what I would do,
and this is what was explained to me. First of all,

(44:40):
I would sue the Tennessee Titans. I would sue the
New England Patriots. I would sue for having a hostile
work environment.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
Right wait, wait, wait, pause for just a minute. Yeah
you're saying if you're Diana Rossini, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (44:57):
You're gonna sue the Patriots and my Okay, I'm I'm listening.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
I just want to make and I would and I
would sue the Titans for a hostile work environment because
of what happened. If if it turns out that there
was something going on between them. Okay, so I will.

Speaker 4 (45:12):
Start there too, Chris. If I had a YouTube channel.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Let's say and Miami was playing Las Vegas, I'm just
gonna pick those two teams, and I took my camera
phone and put it up to the TV and aired
it on my YouTube channel. What do you think would
happen to me? The Miami Dolphins would say stop it,
or we're gonna sue you. The Las Vegas Raiders would
say stop it or we're gonna sue you. But the

(45:37):
NFL would also say stop it or we're.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
Gonna sue you. Well on YouTube too.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Right, But NFL would say, that's our product. Well, what
you don't understand is these two teams, Tennessee and the
Patriots are two thirty two's of another company, and that
other company is the NFL. I would sue the NFL
and threaten to take every owner, subpoena them, and ask
him some very very uncomfortable questions about women in the

(46:04):
locker room and female reporters. Then I would subpoena all
the female reporters over the last decade or two and say,
have you ever had a hostile work.

Speaker 4 (46:13):
Environment with some of these ball clubs. You're not gonna
lie on the oath.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
Of course, it's never going to get to that point
because I'm gonna ask for ten million per team, which.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
Would be about three hundred and twenty million.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
They'll bock at that, but they'll settle for about two
million per team.

Speaker 4 (46:28):
Was that chunk change? Did you run this by anyone
before you brought it to a national radio show, because
it might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of it?

Speaker 2 (46:35):
No, no, Chris, this is the way the world works. Chris.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
You thread it is too this is too consenting. No, Chris,
I'm telling you, christ I lost my job. There's no
way you can sue someone. Don't say that.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
First of all, too If I lost my job, everybody's
going down.

Speaker 4 (46:56):
I'm going down swinging, Chris. I couldn't.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
You don't understand you. It doesn't make you know, Chris, really,
and I know that's funny, really to make a difference
it was my fault or not.

Speaker 4 (47:05):
You would lose in court and then you'd be out
all your attorney.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
You don't understand. It would never make it that far.

Speaker 4 (47:10):
Yeah, would, because they're like, we're not going to pay you, Jackson.
You're not going to make adults brought up.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
Okay, well you know, I well, if you're an attorney
out there, I'm just kind of curious that it was.
Chris thinks I pick up a lot of stupid things,
so this might go right to the top.

Speaker 4 (47:26):
Just get us on Twitter at playing show a genius.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
I can call one right now if you would like
you said, you know a lot of them, so I
mean I could call one right now.

Speaker 4 (47:35):
We can have them on in five minutes.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
I mean, it's just.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
They had an affair. They're too consent.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
Allegedly, let's say, allegedly on that okay, allegedly yeah, yeah,
so Diana to the NFL. Sometimes the cover up, Sometimes
the cover up is worse than the crime itself. You've
heard that before.

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Christ Well, of course, but in this instance, I don't.
I don't really what She's suing them for a hostile
That's what I would do. That she had a relationship
with somebody else allegedly. Who's to say she wasn't forced
into the relationship.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
And believe me, there's a lot of women I could
bring and subpoena that will go stop.

Speaker 4 (48:15):
Are you serious? This is the dumbest thing I think now.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
Yes, Oh my god. You know, I'm glad you guys
can get pushed around and not fight back.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
There's a major difference between fighting back and saying I'm
gonna get ten million dollars from every NFL team because
I allegedly had an affair with.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
Was a choice.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
Again, allegedly, let's say allegedly on that. So you know.
And by the way, she's catching a lot of flak
for it. I feel like she's catching way more flact
than Mike Rabel and she's good. She'll probably take the
bulk of the punishment more she shouldn't.

Speaker 3 (48:54):
I mean, that's the one thing in all of this
is she shouldn't be punished at all. And Athletic, there
is no such thing as journalism anymore. It just doesn't exist.
It really doesn't. We want to. I wish it did,
but it just doesn't. And the Athletic in their pearl clutching.
I mean, bro, look at some of the articles you

(49:15):
guys have printed out there recently. I mean, come on, stop,
she went out and don't I don't know the nature
of the relationship, but she's getting stories. I mean, is
she is she blackmailing people to get them?

Speaker 2 (49:26):
Now? Is their crimes are A J. Brown? Do you
think AJ Brown has a lawsuit for what? Well? Didn't
they kind of devalue him a little bit? How how
by saying there was problems and that. Have you watched
AJ Brown?

Speaker 4 (49:45):
Yeah, you know, I think there's problems with trying to
deal with.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
Him, So you don't you don't think that there was
any like.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
You saying that Mike Rabel would plant some stories Diana Rossini. Yeah,
is that what you're trying to say? Yes, you don't
take that happens all the time. That happens everywhere.

Speaker 3 (50:07):
It happens with agents planning positive stories to beat writers.
That happens with coaches sliding stories under the radar to
other reporters that they're maybe not in a romantic relationship with.
I mean, this can be I mean, I don't know
why you want to overcomplicate this.

Speaker 4 (50:23):
And again, it's fine if this is what you've come
up with and you've.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
Talked to your lawyer buddies on this, But I think
there's a certain part where he doesn't have to be
that complicated. Listen, it's not against the law to have
a relationship with someone outside of marriage.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
It's against the Bible. It's against God's law.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
But I mean, you might have to pay for it,
but there is no law that says you can't have
an affair.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
Well, so I'm not saying you should be in jail
or anything. But they won't fire her, you know that, right?

Speaker 3 (50:51):
They better not? They better not. I mean it's they
get stories from her. I would be willing to bet
that she's probably their most read person on the athletic.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
Who do you read on the athletic? Nobody except I
agree with you what I don't argue that point with you, Chris,
And I think she'll probably get up get another job.

Speaker 4 (51:11):
If they ended up getting I'll hire her here at
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
That's God said to hire.

Speaker 4 (51:17):
He already beat us to it. But I got to
tell you something.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
I I'm not enamored with it because I and again,
like you said, you know lawyers, so you obviously have
a beat on this. But I just it's something that
hits a lot of different angles, right, It hits a
lot of different angles from what you can think about
doing whatever it takes to get a story, if you
consider that right or wrong from you know, maybe a

(51:44):
coach taking advantage of a situation, if that's what you're
trying to paint this ass Arnie, there's just a lot
of different angles to this. Why did you throw the
Titans in there just because he was at Tennessee? I mean,
are we assuming that's how long this thing's been going on.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
I'm assuming that, and I'm and like I said, I'm
I'm taking everybody down. I don't think it's fair that
she's catching that much Greek. That's the only reason. I'm like,
she's got to fight back. She can't take this many
hits without fighting back. And you know what bothers me
is if she's telling the truth that there were other
people on the trip, were the other people?

Speaker 4 (52:17):
How come they haven't come forward because there weren't other
people on the tip? We're assuming, right, exactly, that's what
we're all doing.

Speaker 3 (52:23):
I mean, I think the funniest thing that I've heard
in this whole saga was, well, there were people there,
you just didn't seem in the pictures.

Speaker 2 (52:34):
I'm like, wait, were they standing on the.

Speaker 4 (52:36):
Roof for you guys or wherever you were out there
in that field with that awkward ding where they like
kneeled down.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
Somebody said, you know that sometimes you've got to get
information like that where you meet your source at root
trying to play it. If that's true, I am volunteering
to cover the WNBA for Fox Sports Radio. So like
if I have to go to a jacuzzi rooftop, you know.

Speaker 4 (53:00):
Sit in a pool, sweet massage, whatever, I.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Got to do it, I got to do it. You
know what can I tell you? I I volunteer for
that job, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (53:08):
Does this story start to as we get closer to
the draft and as we get closer to OTA's and
we start seeing guys in new uniforms for seeing Kyler
Murray work out with the Vikings, seeing Malik Willis work
out with the Dolphins, do we do we start to
see this story die a little bit in the public eye?
Or do you think it's got some legs and aren't

(53:29):
gonna go anywhere?

Speaker 2 (53:30):
What is he not showing up too recently? I mean
he's he's at the draft. He's not going to be president.
That is that what's gonna go on? Is that what
I heard about him?

Speaker 4 (53:39):
He's not gonna be He's not gonna be the draft.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
They said he wasn't gonna be added. So he doesn't
have to answer questions about it.

Speaker 3 (53:46):
Oh oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they're they're calling him a
coward because they they claim that he's not going to
show up at the draft and he's not going to
interact with NFL reporters. But yeah, and it's not it's
not that he's not going to the draft, Arnie. He's
not doing the pre draft press conference on Monday, so
you know.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
So it's affected it a little bit then, but not
that all that much. I don't think it affects her
draft status or anything like that, or the season or
or to that. Probably once the season starts, we'll forget
all about it. Probably when the draft happens, we'll forget
all about it. But there's an investigation into Diana Rossini
by her employees, and we're.

Speaker 4 (54:27):
Going to find out what that's going to be.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
But again, they claim, they claim that I guess they
have a morals clause now just hypothetically here, Yeah, if
Fox Sports Radio had a morals clause and they found
out that I had a girlfriend outside of marriage and
I got caught or whatever it might be, I mean,
then I might get called in the boss's office. I
don't know, And I'm sure as heck wouldn't want to

(54:53):
be on page six or on TMZ. I mean, I
can't even imagine waking up and be like, oh, you know,
the call from Scotch Uh, Scotch Shapiro would be up
there pretty high in my concerns.

Speaker 4 (55:04):
That call for my wife would bother me a little
bit too.

Speaker 3 (55:06):
So it's a long winded way to say, I don't
think she's gonna sue anyone, Arnie.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
I don't think she has a case.

Speaker 3 (55:11):
I would appreciate it, like you try to stand up
for but I just I don't. I don't get the
outrage in it. But I do kind of understand how
fascinating this story is because I'm locked into it.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
Yeah, I think I just my think he was. I
see I'm getting ripped on Twitter. But I'm not just
should because I think they're going to fire her, and
I think that's.

Speaker 4 (55:30):
Going to suck.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
And I look, I hope Fox gets her, but if
they do fire her, I've got to concoct some lawsuit.
I'm not taking this going down, Chris. I just don't
think it's fair that she loses her job and he
just goes on.

Speaker 4 (55:47):
I'm sorry to say that, but I just I just Hey,
do that you found one guy that agrees with you?
So one guy, let's go on first, We'll read him immediately.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
We'll get that coming up next. Todd Furman right around
the corner as well. It's Arnie and Plank right here
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (56:04):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 4 (56:16):
All right, it's Arny in Plank Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (56:18):
SALEO to our buddy Todd Firm and hees live in
Vegas tonight, Todd, the NBA playoffs are set. Can you
just feel the excitement from this final day of action?
I mean just unreal?

Speaker 4 (56:29):
Right?

Speaker 3 (56:30):
Does the NBA have a tanking problem? Do they need
to do something to try to fix the relevant? The relevance?
Is that the word I'm looking for of this final
week of the season?

Speaker 9 (56:38):
Or now calling it tanking would be an insult to
tanking quite honestly, given the massive point spreads that we
saw across the board. Credit the NBA. They love to
play in two time windows, much as we see in
the NFL because of all those playoff implications. But you
go down the board and look at some of these numbers,
it's double digit spread after double digit spread, and a
game that you know had a little bit of intrigue

(57:00):
as far as one of the potential candidates for Rookie
of the Year in Cooper Flag sprains his ankle early
on in Dallas' regular season finale. So anti climactic to
say the least. But Wi'll at least start playing for
keeps on Tuesday and Wednesday night with the NBA playing
games before we kick off the regular portion of the
postseason on Saturday and Sunday.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
But Todd, wasn't there money to be made today? I
know the Knicks were like a twelve and a half
point underdog at home because they weren't playing anybody. I'm like,
way the twelve and a half then, I mean, they're
playing nothing, They're playing people like me. It was they
lost by fourteen or fifteen points, Oklahoma City got blown out.
Was there money to be made today? Kind of like
the end of the season in the NFL, when everybody

(57:41):
sits down.

Speaker 9 (57:42):
It's always a little bit of a double edge short.
I mean, if you're doing your homework and you can
get ahead of some of these moves, there is no
doubt an opportunity, but at the same time, you can't
chase line moves. For your example of the Charlotte game
against the Knicks, I mean that game opened as low
as seven and a half, closes fourteen and a half,
and the game's malls fiddle in the middle at fourteen.
I think a lot of people thought it was fata

(58:03):
coom plea that Orlando would go out there and win. Outright,
they closed as a fourteen point favorite after opening as
a four point favorite, so a ten point move they
lose outright one thirteen one o eight. So it's always
a little bit of buyer beware. And that's one thing
when you look at tanking over the last three or
four weeks of the NBA regular season, Odds makers know
these teams are laying down as well, so they're massive
numbers that you have to lay and asking a team

(58:25):
to lose and then lose by twenty five are two
very different sides of the same coins. So thankfully, all
this we can kind of put in the rear view
mirror and start to move forward. Do we know we're
going to get max effort from the twenty teams? That
still have something less to play for in the NBA, any.

Speaker 3 (58:41):
Any of these first round playoff series really jump out
at you. I kind of like Lakers, Rockets, really dig Nuggets, Timberwolves,
but without Trey Young in Atlanta, I mean, Nick Hawks
come on not the same, But the Hawks have been
playing really well in the second half of the season.

Speaker 9 (58:56):
They have, and it's going to be one of the
shorter numbers that you're going to see in one of
the first round series. The Knicks just shy of a
three dollars favorite, and while people may scoff at that
from an NBA first round standpoint, that's about the best
you can hope for on paper. The Denver Nuggets right
around a minus three to fifty favorite. If you can
figure out the Minnesota Timberwolves and when they're going to
show up, it makes both of you, gentlemen, significantly smarter

(59:17):
than me. And in terms of the Lakers, odds makers
have absolutely no level of confidence that the Lakers will
get any healthy, impactful bodies. That's the reason that the
Rockets are a five and a half point road favorite
for Game one of that series and a robust minus
seven to fifty favorite, meaning that if you want to
bet the Rockets, you have to put up seven dollars
and fifty cents just to make a dollar for them

(59:37):
to punch their ticket into the second round of the postseason.

Speaker 4 (59:39):
Maybe the better way to go is with the futures.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
Any interest in, you know, just betting on a team
to win the whole thing, or is Oklahoma City such
an overwhelming favorite.

Speaker 9 (59:48):
I think Oklahoma City deserves some consideration, even at the
short price, I mean anything better than even money. This
team at its best as they get healthy, is still
going to be difficult out And while I know a
lot of people are claimed ring for the upstart Spurs,
they have been a fun watch, I mean with Victor
Webbin Yama kind of being a freak of nature, Stefan
Castle and the other contributions they're getting further down the roster.

(01:00:09):
Just so hard to win when you don't have any
of that playoff scar tissue already built up. And I
think you're going to get a shorter price if it's
OKCC and Antonio at some point this postseason where you'll
get professional betters lining up to back to Thunder, people
looking to try and take this price with the Spurs
and That's where things get a little bit more interesting
in the Eastern Conference that I think is going to
be much more competitive on paper. A lot of folks

(01:00:31):
believe that the Celtics are the team to beat, as
the betting market suggests, the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to
have to try and wash off the stench of James
Harden being on their roster and getting contributions for him
in the playoffs, and the lowly Detroit Pistons that come
in as the number one seedon everyone kind of wants
to write off because they think they're one trick pony
with Kate Cunningham. I really believe that the Pistons actually
benefited by Kate missing some time, not because you ever

(01:00:53):
want to see anybody get hurt, but all the other
players on the roster had to step up. They didn't
really miss a beat, and I think they're going to
be a little bit more of a formidable out than
people are led to believe. Their price right now to
win the Eastern Conference run around eight or ten.

Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
To one todd Where was the money to be made
in the Masters or was there was because Roy was
had a pretty good number as one of the favorites right,
and he.

Speaker 9 (01:01:17):
Was a relatively low liability for the house in all
honesty playing. When you look at Rory and his form,
questions about his health. Prominent sportsbook out here in Las
Vegas drifted him out as far as sixteen to one
because they couldn't get any action on him leading up
to him teeing off on Thursday. Scotti Scheffler, a very
interesting candidate, has always his number got as high as
sixty to one when he looked like he was going

(01:01:39):
to be dead and buried, but as always, he finds
a way to keep himself relevant. The two guys that,
speaking to a number of books they didn't want to
see don the green jacket depending on the location. Ludvigobert
had taken a good amount of money from recreational players
as well, and Cam Young started to get very popular
a player that we saw his odds to win the
Masters in January as high as fifty five or sixty

(01:01:59):
to one. As he started to figure out his form,
that number came crashing down. So I can't speak for
every book, but I would have to imagine the variety
of operators you speak to would have been more than
happy with Rory McElroy winning this tournament, saying that the
betting handle was significant throughout the course of the weekend.
And that's the one great thing about the Masters. It
always seems like we get the marquee players on the
leaderboard going into Sunday, and I think it makes for

(01:02:21):
a much more fascinating watching some of the other majors
that we'll see later this year.

Speaker 4 (01:02:25):
You know, Todd, I bet, but I only got even money.

Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
I feel like you've gotten better odds on Sergio Garcia
breaking his club hat.

Speaker 9 (01:02:33):
Well, you know, Harney, I figured you would have had
the foresight to parlay that with him carrying John Ram's
bag and John rams caddy had to do a little
bit of yard maintenance, so to speak, and raking that bunker.
But what an embarrassment for a guy who's won at
the highest levels to go out there and perform like
he's a recreational player out there on Saturday. You'd like
to see him conduct himself in a better fashion. I

(01:02:53):
know it makes for great content on social media, but
not exactly the example you want to set for some
of the young folks that are watching golf for the
first time.

Speaker 4 (01:03:00):
Todd, is there is there money to be made in
the world of gambling on the draft. I know that's
more the prop world. I don't know does Vegas even
put lines up over unders? Is there a gambling market
for the draft?

Speaker 9 (01:03:14):
There is a market, and it started to grow a
little bit with the prevalence of prediction markets as well,
so there's a little bit more liquidity than what you've
should have seen in the past. But I go back
to twenty twenty and twenty twenty one, while the NFL
Draft was kind of the only thing going on during COVID,
you had professional betters that were able to get down
bigger limits than what they could now and they were
able to pick it apart. The betting markets for the draft,

(01:03:37):
in my opinion, haven't been nearly as profitable over the
last two to three seasons. So for me personally, I've
done a lot less unless I get tipped off and
I can kind of move money under the radar without
arousing any level of suspicion. But the one thing I
will say in terms of what we've seen from a
line movement standpoint, is around that second overall pick between
David Bailey and Rvel Reese and what direction at number

(01:04:00):
two and I think that kind of sets up the
rest of the draft and how things will move going forward.
Arguably the most fascinating player though, of anybody, will be
Ty Simpson, and if you're looking at odds, where he
could potentially land regardless of round, Arizona the favorite, the
New York Jets, behind them, the Rams, the Steelers, and
then a pretty decent drop off until you get to
the likes of maybe the Browns, the Buccaneers and some

(01:04:21):
other shooters that could come from off the pace to
acquire his services.

Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
Don do we betten in the NHL playoffs? We've betten
the Savers to win the whole thing now that they're
back into it or what Oh.

Speaker 9 (01:04:32):
It's going to be one of the most electric buildings
in the entire postseason, especially in the Eastern Conference. Knowing
that the fan base in Western New York has waited
fourteen long years and there's a lot of optimism about
what kind of damage this team can do. Do I
think they can win the Stanley Cup. That may be
a bridge too far. I'm not sure I'm running to
buy into the current numbers at the top of the market,
where they're right around a seven and a half to

(01:04:52):
one shot to win the East and right around twenty
to one to kind of win the whole thing. You
have to do a little bit of creative accounting and
look further down the board to identify some teams. Maybe
odds makers are selling a bit short. But one team
that I think that no one will talk about that
has a legitimate chance to come out of the East
would be the Ottawa Centers. You look at a lot
of their underlying metrics and a team if they're able

(01:05:13):
to get healthy and keep their key contributors on the
ice for them going to be a tough out whether
they draw Carolina in the first round or they have
to go through the Atlantic Division, which in my opinion,
will be a little bit of a tougher path.

Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
Do you go to WrestleMania this week? Todd?

Speaker 9 (01:05:27):
I will not be in attendance for WrestleMania. I got
my fill of high level sporting events this past weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:05:34):
Had the privilege to go to the Frozen Four on
Thursday to see an Instant Classic, a double overtime win
for Denver, Michigan, along with a two one game between
Wisconsin and North Dakota, and then the National Championship at
Team Mobile, where you get to see Denver, you know,
kind of the gold standard in college hockey when their
third national title in five years, and always great to
see a championship handed out the third time I've seen

(01:05:56):
it a Team Mobile, a Stanley Cup for the Washington Caps,
a Stanley Cup for the Golden and now a national
title for the du Pioneers.

Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
I heard you I was wrong on that.

Speaker 9 (01:06:05):
You you know what I wish I had a chance
to go. It's funny that you bring it up, Arnie,
because I was talking to my wife and I asked
her if she still thought she had that gear in
her to be at an outdoor music festival like that,
and her response was I never had that gear, and
I'm not quite sure I would either, But I'd be
more inclined to be in Indio for Stage Coach than
I would Coachella. I keep waiting for you, Arnie, to

(01:06:26):
pony up the cash for us to give the I
T treatment and a helicopter so Plank and I can
go with you to DC because I figure you are
a huge fan of E d M and partying into
the wee hours of the morning with your wife's permission.

Speaker 4 (01:06:36):
I'm working on it. I'm working.

Speaker 9 (01:06:39):
I appreciate that it'll be just like collecting the markers
for the millions of dollars you've alleged to bet that
you've yet never been able to cash one of those
single tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
Yes, exactly true.

Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
All right, Todd, have a great week, buddy, Appreciate your
time as always.

Speaker 9 (01:06:51):
Always a pleasure.

Speaker 2 (01:06:52):
Guys, You guys as willow.

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
Go follow him on Twitter at Todd Furman. He is
our Vegas insider. Steve's Segary's in the house with everything
that's trending. What's going on, Steve?

Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
Uh oh?

Speaker 8 (01:07:05):
The NBA, We're there, we go, we in the NBA.
We had the regular season end tonight. Clippers beat Golden
State one fifteen one ten. The Clips were hosts Golden
State again in a play in late Wednesday. The Clippers
record this season just before Christmas was six and twenty one.
They finished so well they actually became the first team
in NBA history to finish above the five hundred mark,

(01:07:28):
despite being fifteen games under it.

Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
At some point during that season.

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
That's crazy.

Speaker 8 (01:07:33):
Portland beat sacer Meto. Portland plays at Phoenix late Tuesday.
Suns won their finale easily at Oklahoma City, Houston, and Dallas,
with wins for Dallas. Cooper Flag of the MAVs left
early tonight with a sprained ankle. Houston sent Memphis to
an eighth straight loss. Is now Houston at the Lakers
in game one of a first rounder starting Saturday night.
Lakers took their finale pretty easily against Utah, but Denver

(01:07:56):
won its twelfth straight game one eight one eighteen at
San Antonio, so the Nuggets hold on to.

Speaker 4 (01:08:01):
The three seed in the West.

Speaker 8 (01:08:02):
Denver will face Minnesota starting Saturday. In the East, Toronto
won easily, Atlanta lost badly. The Hawks loss moves them
down to the sixth seeds, so they'll start the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (01:08:14):
In New York Saturday. We'll bounce them out.

Speaker 8 (01:08:16):
The Raptors, we he says. The Raptors are in the
five seed in the East. They'll face Cleveland in the
first round. That'll be the opening game one on Saturday.
Cleveland won the finale against a Washington team that's lost
ten straight. To finish out the year. Detroit and Boston
each with wins. Charlotte as well, and Philadelphia beat Milwaukee
won twenty six to one oh six. Stock Rivers will

(01:08:39):
not return as Milwaukee's head coach next year. He is
still owed an eight figure salary for next Here you go,
Sacramento coach Doug Christy due to return to the Kings
next season. Looking ahead, the draft lottery is May the
tenth in the NHL. Among the six games Montreal and
Boston with wins. The NHL regular season ends on Thursday.

(01:09:00):
Gerry McElroy won the Masters for the second straight year.
Scotty Scheffler had a great weekend, finished second place one
stroke back after a final round sixty eight. In fact,
he'd shot sixty five yesterday. Scheffler is the first since
nineteen forty two to have a bogie free weekend at Augusta.
Justin Rose, age forty five, tied for third place, two back.

(01:09:21):
Cam Young also tied for third. Young had tied for
the lead after round three heading into today. Remember it
was McElroy up by six strokes after Friday second round.
That was a Masters record after McElroy had birdie's on
six of his last seven holes Friday, and then he
made it hard on himself, including with the t shot
at eighteen today, but does win, and for McElroy it's

(01:09:43):
his thirtieth victory on the PGA Tour, his sixth career
major championship. Only three others had won back to back Masters,
including Tiger Woods about twenty twenty five years ago. In
the final round, three different guys today had a two
stroke lead, including Justin Rose, who just didn't play champions win.
He had his shots, certainly had his shots, quite literally.

(01:10:06):
In Major League Baseball at Atlanta, it was the Braves
thirteen to one over Cleveland. Today winning pitcher Chris Sale
went six innings. Ty Gibbs, the NASCAR winner, his first
victory in the Cup Series. He led just the last
twenty five laps. Janick Sinner regained the number one ranking
in men's tennis after beating Carlos Alcarez in the Wendy
Monte Carlo Final, a clay court event. And in UFL

(01:10:28):
Spring football, Saint Louis thirty four to thirty over Birmingham
on a touchdown with two minutes left. Dallas now three
and Ozho beat Columbus twenty eight twenty three.

Speaker 4 (01:10:35):
Pickte let's go, that's my team? Did you want?

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
You know, Arnie, you brought this up and I think
it's I think it's worth reliving rory had some interesting
takes in his post round press conference because we joked
about how they tried to make it some sort.

Speaker 4 (01:10:52):
Of look at the grind.

Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
He's taken a private jet in the morning and then
he flies back to take care of his daughter. This
I don't think we'll have to listen to the whole thing,
but listen to what he said about the unfair advantage
he felt like he had here to gust.

Speaker 10 (01:11:07):
I joked last week and going into this week like
this place feels like my home course. I haven't played
anywhere else in the last two or three weeks, really,
so I felt prepared in that way. I felt prepared that,
you know, wherever I hit it on the golf course,
I sort of know what to do. I know where
to miss. You know, I'm pretty comfortable with all the

(01:11:28):
shots around the greens.

Speaker 4 (01:11:31):
Yeah, okay, so you don't need to hear the whole thing,
but I mean, yeah, from the fuck.

Speaker 3 (01:11:36):
I mean, you think whenever you have it's the only
course you played for three weeks, and you won there
last year, you think you're gonna have a little bit
of an edge on everyone else. Now, I would assume
that everyone's afforded that same opportunity, right, I mean, I'm
just no.

Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
No, I think, don't you have to be a past winner?

Speaker 6 (01:11:53):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:11:53):
Is that what it is? Yeah, he's a past winner,
so he's allowed to walk onto that course anytime he
wants to. If you're not a past twitter, you have
no or member, you have no such right to just
say book me eighteen.

Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
I think I'm coming in today.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
So he could do it anytime he watched, and he
took advantage of that.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Yeah, it seems like he's kind of been given unlimited
access then, I mean, can't argue with it.

Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
I just assumed.

Speaker 3 (01:12:19):
I just assumed that two weeks before the Masters. It's like, hey,
go play your practice rounds, and I just take it.
That's not the case, right, No, not for him.

Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
I am surprised. I didn't think so much went into it.
Does it give him an unfair advantage? Sure it does?

Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
It really does.

Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
I mean we talk about how baseball team some spend
four hundred million, others spend forty million.

Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
Does it give them an unfair advantage?

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Sure it does. You know, they make more money, they
can spend more money out there. Obviously Rory makes more
money and he can go ahead and use that to
his advantage by flying privately to play some practice rounds,
and it's available to him where it's not available to
everybody else.

Speaker 4 (01:12:56):
But a good firm for doing it. You know, you
know what's coming up next.

Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
What's that is the segment And we still have to
get to your idea that Diana Rossini should sue thirty
two NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:13:07):
Tea people are agreeing with me, right well, at least
that one person did. I don't think anyone's agreeing with you.
I think I think that's your burner account.

Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
But if you want to say that the athletic fires
her and she goes after them for a wrongful termination,
then yeah, let's go. But if you're gonna try to
hire the fire or excuse me, sue all the NFL teams,
we'll get into that.

Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
Coming up next, it's Arnie and Plank right here on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
Hi, ladies and gentlemen, It's time for Steve Tosager to
take center stage here on the Arnie and Plank Show.

Speaker 8 (01:13:35):
What's going on, Steve, Well, the field is set for
the NBA postseason, and we've got the matchups and dates
for you. By the way, not a single first round
playoff series was set entering Sunday's season finale, when everybody
was in action. Nobody played yesterday, everybody had played Friday.
This was game eighty two of the regular season schedule

(01:13:55):
for everyone tonight. By the way, this is the first
season in NBA history where eight teams had at least
fifty five losses. And boyd if we have a ton
of blowouts this year, including these last few weeks. We'll
get to that maybe next hour. But the play in
tournament starts Tuesday. The actual first round of the playoffs
this Saturday. The NBA Finals start June third, so pace yourself.

Speaker 4 (01:14:18):
This isn't the NFL.

Speaker 8 (01:14:20):
We're going to hit it hard for a month and
then get a champion in the su This is not
that Potentially ten different seeds would have changed tonight based
on game results. Instead, a lot stayed the same, including
another Nuggets win, so they stay in the three seed
in the West. The play in tournament Tuesday through Friday.
Here's how it works. In each conference, the number seven
seed will host the number eight. Whoever wins that matchup

(01:14:42):
goes to the playoffs immediately as the seventh seed. So,
for example, the late game on Tuesday is Portland at Phoenix.
Whoever wins that is done for the week. They're headed
to the weekend and the first round and starting a
first round series on the road in the East. The
first the two games on the Wednesday schedule is Philadelphia

(01:15:04):
hosting Orlando. Again, that's a seven eight matchup. Winner of
that goes straight to the playoffs as the seventh seed.
The loser of a seven versus eight still gets one
more chance to get in. They'll be hosting the winner
of a nine to ten matchup, and that hosting will
take place on Friday. One last chance to get in
now if you're only ninth or tenth in your conference,

(01:15:26):
as you might guess, the loser of nine versus ten
this week is out immediately.

Speaker 4 (01:15:30):
So we've got Charlotte.

Speaker 8 (01:15:31):
Hosting ten seed Miami on Tuesday to start things. Whoever
loses that is out immediately. And the late game Wednesday
is the Clippers hosting ten seed Golden State. One of
those two will be out late Wednesday. Now, as far
as the other games that are coming up, the actual
first round of the playoffs begin on Saturday, but I

(01:15:53):
mess mentioned as far as television coverage. If you don't
have streaming you're not seeing anything for most of this week,
streaming only for all three doubleheaders of the play in
Tournament Prime video Tuesday and Wednesday and Friday, two games
each night streaming only, but not Saturday though, And then

(01:16:14):
when things start on Saturday, and when they had four
games on Saturday, the first three of them streaming only,
and then the Lakers host Houston Saturday.

Speaker 4 (01:16:24):
Night in a game one that will be the ABC
can ask a dumb question here real quick. It sounds
like the NBA had everything it could possibly want in
a final day of the regular season. Every single what
you say, no playoff matchup was set right?

Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:16:41):
How could you not try to blow this thing up
and make it a big deal? And yet everybody was
sitting out? Make it make sense to me?

Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
I mean that with zero play for the regular season,
couldn't you make it make sense? Why aren't people at
good point? Sorry?

Speaker 3 (01:16:57):
I just I wrote that down and I realized, are
you not going to talk about that? I need to
ask Steve right now.

Speaker 8 (01:17:03):
Now, just make stors repeating Friday, when not everything was set,
almost one hundred and seventy players sat just exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
It's like, go go play man. This is a great
moment for the league. Make the most of it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:16):
I mean, okay, I.

Speaker 8 (01:17:20):
Know Jokic did play some Yes, Lakers played a fair
amount of guys through the first half. But the Lakers
had a chance to move up three and Denver with
a loss, could have dropped to four. But do they
not care about whether they're facing Houston or Minnesota in.

Speaker 4 (01:17:36):
The first round starting week? I don't know. Anyway, I
mentioned Lakers hosting Houston.

Speaker 8 (01:17:41):
Starting this Saturday night, and then we'll have that'll be
four games on Saturday in first Round game ones, and
then we'll have four games on Sunday and those will
be on regular channels. Next Sunday, we'll have the Boston
home game and then the Oklahoma City home game. Those
are on ABC, and then doubleheader for NBC next Sunday,
Detroit's home game and San Antonio's home game. And it

(01:18:04):
doesn't get a lot of talk, but the Detroit Pistons
are the one seed in the Eastern Conference, the only
team to win sixty games in that conference. In fact,
they beat the Celtics by four games in the standings.
CRUs this year beat the Knicks by seven games in
the standings, and yet not a lot of confidence league
wide from well one of our NBA guests this past

(01:18:24):
week in the Pistons. So staying tuned on that, I
got to mention that former Pirates All Star infielder Phil
Garner passed away at the age of seventy sol.

Speaker 4 (01:18:33):
That Artie had that in the in the rundown. I
knew him as an astro. I thought he was still
managing somewhere in the mL like.

Speaker 8 (01:18:41):
Major League manager for fifteen years a few different cities.
Well known for being in the middle infield for the
Pirates on Willie Stargell's World Series team nineteen seventy nine,
but after pancreatic cancer, he has passed over.

Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
But this share this week, excuse me, the Sega Davy
Lobes passed away.

Speaker 4 (01:18:59):
Yeah, Dodger and what did infield?

Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
That was? Remember when they all hit thirty home runs? Lopes,
Russell say in Garvey all, actually there was.

Speaker 4 (01:19:08):
Four other players that had thirty.

Speaker 8 (01:19:10):
But yes, it was in that era where eight years
in a row you had the same four infielders on
one team. That was really something, including yes Garvey at
first before he became a Padre. The Cubs got two
runs in the eighth at Wrigley today to ty Pittsburgh
and then a run bottom of the ninth to beat
him seven to six. The Dodger home game was against Texas.
Jacob de Gram went six innings, just one run, allowed

(01:19:32):
nine strikeouts. The one run he allowed a leadoff homer
to show Aotani, but Texas won the game five to two.
Dodger record eleven and four now and still of concern.
Pitcher Roki Sasaki, the young right hander from Japan, had
an awful spring training and has not improved that much
in attempting to throw strikes five walks to go with

(01:19:53):
six strikeouts today in only four innings of work. Gee
at Dodger Stadium, Arizona got two runs in the eighth
say from Paul Seawald, his fifth already Arizona one at
Philadelphia four to three. White Sox got the go ahead
run on a wild pitch in the seventh. We'll end
up winning. At Kansas City six'. Five baltimore Has Pete.
Alonzo there's ANOTHER x met for.

Speaker 10 (01:20:13):
You.

Speaker 8 (01:20:13):
Yep The O's Pete alonzo had two, hits two. RBIs
baltimore Beat San francisco six to, two record for The
giants six and Ten seattle six to one Over. Houston
Logan gilbert went seven, inning seven, strikeouts just one run,
aloud and The padres had a great. Week they Beat
colorado seven to, two Although padres starting Pitcher Nick pavetta

(01:20:33):
left with elbow.

Speaker 4 (01:20:34):
Stiffness back to, you, Thanks.

Speaker 2 (01:20:36):

Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
He was a.

Speaker 3 (01:23:53):
Pirate he played for The, astros The doyers and The.
Giants and then you made the joke, about, hey he
seems like he was still a. Manager he was managing
as recently as, seven WHICH i guess now is almost
twenty years.

Speaker 4 (01:24:05):
Ago, yeah but still pretty.

Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Well it was pretty AND i saw that that hit,
hard AND i want to tell, You Davey lopes was
it was like a star in The la, area that
infield that The sega ran off where he said they
spent eight years. Together that's like a record eight. Years
can you imagine eight years together of the same. Infield,

(01:24:28):

If twitter was around when that. HAPPENED i, mean you
talk about all the all the, Statements oh, geez could

(01:28:55):
you Imagine twitter would have actually exploded something like. That to,
me that would have been like maybe the number one,
thing and what you'll remember probably better than, anybody uh The.
SEGA i added number. Three i'll skip number two for a.
Second was the shoe. Brawl remember that between The rangers

(01:29:15):
and The bruins when The bruins went into the stands
to beat up on The ranger fans and they took
the shoe off one of the guys and hit him
over the head with it or. Something, wow and it
was just.

Speaker 4 (01:29:28):
Outs it was back remember that of nineteen. Seventies nhlcember twenty,
third nineteen seventy, nine if you want to look it.

Speaker 2 (01:29:37):
Up they went into the. STANDS i. Forgot what prompted
them was right after the. Game it was a four
to three. GAME i don't know what prompted them to
go into the, stands but they started beating up on
the on the fans and things got completely out of.

Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
Head first THING i thought of was The joe name
Of Super bowl and That Super bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
Week that would have been fun because he predicted the. Win,
yeah he just got all over that not picking. Him,
no that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
TOO i. SEE i did more like controversial. STUFF i,
said like The tyson Holy field. Fight would he bit
his ear? Off If twitter was around for something like,
that that would have.

Speaker 3 (01:30:13):
Exploded the first tweet would have been did he just
bite his? Ear that would have been the first tweet
that would have come out after.

Speaker 2 (01:30:19):
That DID i just see WHAT i.

Speaker 8 (01:30:21):
THOUGHT i JUST i think losing To Buster douglas because
all The tyson fights were so. Lopsided that wound up
being In japan and on a Late saturday night people
found out on sports and what what? Happened he actually.

Speaker 3 (01:30:35):
LOST i was In Mammoth, Spring arkansas with my Cousin Jeremy,
caudel AND i was the Biggest Mike tyson fan on the.
Plot Would oh my, GOSH i was such a. NERD
i would cut a hole in a towel and walk
around with it WHENEVER i would like my workouts BECAUSE
i wanted To Mike. Tyson oh that was funny wearing
down of the. Ring he had the talent cut a

(01:30:56):
little hole in it.

Speaker 2 (01:30:59):
Over. Yourself, yeah just drape it over.

Speaker 3 (01:31:01):
Myself and that's WHAT i would do WHENEVER i THOUGHT
i was working out back in the. Day that would
have been a good one to sega The Buster. Douglas
what else you got on your list ON.

Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
I had The weber time out of, Course i'm, Sure oh,
Yeah Michigan twitter would have exploded on. That and THEN
i just put Like Michael jordan playing, baseball because you
would have all these guys that were all about, it
that were like all about.

Speaker 3 (01:31:23):
It you know they would be they'd be. Right the
minor league Beat, riders that'd be, great that'd be, great and.

Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
They go back to. Basketball you can't do. It it
shows you that not anybody could play. Baseball and it
would have Just, twitter because obviously he's the most POLARIZING
nba player and maybe. Athletes so think what he would
have done down there in just double a. Ball he
would have got all kinds of tweets.

Speaker 8 (01:31:51):
There SO i would add With jordan that his freshman
Year carolina winning The national champions yp on his game
winning shot because he was not the star of that.
Team Michael jordan was not a household name his freshman
year At, carolina but he a, freshman took the last.
Shot it did a pass away at the end of the,
Game Red, Brown georgetown To James.

Speaker 4 (01:32:14):
Worthy James, Worthy, yeah there you, go good. One you're
really going.

Speaker 2 (01:32:19):
Deep, yeah well THAT'S i, mean you've got to go
back a little bit of ways Before twitter was. Around you.

Speaker 8 (01:32:26):
KNOW i can remember the night That Ben mallor announced
he had opened A twitter account when it was.

Speaker 4 (01:32:34):
New that's how long he has been. Here, Wow, wow
that is a deep. POOL i would think kind of
in my sports.

Speaker 3 (01:32:46):
ATMOSPHERE i would love to have had it around Whenever
Dale earnhardt passed, away just to try to figure out
like what was going on because we were in THE i,
Mean fox left the coverage With Michael walter having, won
like we had no idea what had, Happened so that would.

Speaker 4 (01:33:03):
Be one news conference after the. Fact that's, right we
lost All earnhart, Tonight. Michael If twitter was, around when
do we Beat?

Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
Truman do we Be?

Speaker 4 (01:33:14):
Truman?

Speaker 3 (01:33:16):
WHAT i wish it was around for The Gore bush.
Election that would have been pretty. Crazy whenever what do we?
Have was it dangling chads or hanging.

Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
Chads that we learned?

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
About did it take weeks To yeah. Exactly we didn't
find out until like a week. Later BUT i like,
that you, know it's you wrote down The byte fight
from ninety, seven AND i wish We now THERE'S ufc,
events And i'm sure there's watch parties and people have friends,
over but, MAN i miss a good big time boxing

(01:33:45):
match where you would have people over to your house
pay per, view you'd come, over you'd watch, it you'd have,
food you'd have.

Speaker 4 (01:33:50):
BEERS I. ARNIE i think that's one hole in our
sports fandom right.

Speaker 2 (01:33:55):
Now, well we still do have that like if, AGAIN
i know you don't like, this but if you're talking
about strictly for, enjoyment you, know like The Logan paul,
stuff and you don't find that that's not like a.

Speaker 4 (01:34:08):
FIGHT i don't.

Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
Mind, that but it's not like a tide to fight
right the SAY i want to see a heavy. ONE
i want to see dudes that have been preparing and
are in our uh SPORTS i guess you could say depth.
Chart that's kind of in our rotation of what we're talking.

Speaker 8 (01:34:23):
About an upset to win the title as an old
man or you, know any of that era comes to.

Speaker 4 (01:34:29):
Mind, yeah exactly. No but is there, anybody you, know
is it worth watching?

Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
Anymore you, know there's people aren't as polarizing as they
were back.

Speaker 4 (01:34:37):
Then mm.

Speaker 2 (01:34:39):
HMMM i don't.

Speaker 4 (01:34:41):
Know that's a good. Question they might be more polarizing,
actually but it's now all a show right now Post. Mayweather,
yeah Post mayweather good.

Speaker 2 (01:34:52):
STUFF i like.

Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
THAT i will, say, Though, uh there's a lot of
things THAT i Wish twitter wasn't around, For Like i'm you,
Know i'm kind OF i Wish twitter wasn't around for
everyone to, overanalyze even THOUGH i can't get enough of.

Speaker 4 (01:35:03):
It The resini vraabel. THING i think we've reached our
phil on.

Speaker 8 (01:35:06):
That by the, WAY i have read that our contract
expires this. Summer, yeah that's. True then they don't have to.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
Fire that's true. TOO i thought you had one year,
left SO i didn't know if the one when that
win your option was was.

Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
UH i think he's.

Speaker 3 (01:36:36):
Waiting it's kind of funny that they were having that
kind of conversation in the middle of a basketball. Game
that's the last Thing i'm talking to anyone about is
a liberal arts degree in the middle of a basketball.

Speaker 4 (01:36:47):
Game but it was The, pacers and it's been a rough.
Seasons exactly what else are you going to talk about?

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
It at?

Speaker 4 (01:36:52):
Games mister.

Speaker 3 (01:36:54):
Nobody Steve kerr calling for a reduction of this season
players wanting the sixty five game rule removed for awards
to go pro wrestling.

Speaker 2 (01:37:06):
Soft i'm okay with the reduction of the season, Already
i'm okay to go from like eighty two down to
seventy seventy two if this is the way it's gonna.
Be of, course it probably won't affix salaries because players
are not going to take a decrease because anyway salaries go.
Up But i'm okay to chop off ten to twelve

(01:37:28):
games if that's what it.

Speaker 4 (01:37:29):
Takes, yeah me. TOO i think IT'S i think it's,
necessary but it ain't.

Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
HAPPENING i, mean it's just there's the saga bringing up
that the playing games have their own package and they're
on their own.

Speaker 4 (01:37:41):
Network NOW i.

Speaker 3 (01:37:42):
Mean, this and then we're not getting less. Games, Man
we're not getting less games in. Anything should THE nba
have fewer?

Speaker 4 (01:37:47):
Games? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:37:48):
ABSOLUTELY i mean sixty five if, That if sixty five
is going to be your amount for what AN mvp
season should, be why not the number for the?

Speaker 2 (01:37:58):
Season did? Igue how could?

Speaker 4 (01:38:00):
You you? Know BACK?

Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
MP i think one hundred and sixty two? Games, THEN i,
mean my, god that's WHY i tell you there's going
to be two seaports just, well but that's why there's
going to be split, Season, chris because you have to
keep people interested in over one hundred and sixty two.

Speaker 4 (01:38:14):
Games, yeah we got too short of a. Mindset AND
i won't.

Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
LIE I.

Speaker 3 (01:38:19):
I COVERED i almost said a little LEAGUE i cover
a little league baseball when my son tried it and
he was. TERRIBLE i covered minor league. Baseball and it
does rejuvenate you whenever you get to the end of
that first, half and if you've won, it you're, like,
dang we're playing with some house money the rest of the.
Way if you, didn't then you're, like, hey we got a.
Chance guy's new. Life we're already doing some weird things in.

(01:38:41):
Baseball you got the Ghost, Runner you've got pitch. CLOCK
i mean you want To we might have to wait
about ten years for, That. Arnie that's That's we're gonna
have to wait till a few of the old heads
age out on that, one because if we, don't the
boomers heads are going to. Explode and quite a few
of my fellow gen x are probably wouldn't like it
too terribly. Much even though it's kind of our. Fault

(01:39:03):
the baseball isn't as popular as it's still as it
was back in the. Day adam watching the final round
of The masters was pure. Cinema came right down to the. Wire,
oh it was if you could see, It.

Speaker 4 (01:39:16):
Adam that was the.

Speaker 2 (01:39:16):
Problem they couldn't follow the day of. Balls pure, relax.
Relax you just sat here in the first.

Speaker 4 (01:39:23):
Hour we talked about how you watched the whole.

Speaker 2 (01:39:24):
THING i watched it because there was nothing else on
THE i, mean if there was a good law and
order on THAT i haven't, seen probably would have stuck with.
THAT i watched. It it was, Fun it was better than.

Speaker 4 (01:39:35):
Most it would have been a lot better if it
Was tiger and the race out.

Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
THERE i wanted to Ask Podd, furman was there more
money or less money bet, As, like If tiger And
phil were it it probably less money on that though
they we haven't been a factor in a, while So
i'm not sure how that would have answered that.

Speaker 3 (01:39:51):
One, WELL i KNOW i would have been more, interested
if that helps you at. All but, listen it's not
Like tiger has been gone too terribly. LONG i, mean
he did play in what the twenty twenty Four.

Speaker 4 (01:40:08):
Masters is that?

Speaker 3 (01:40:08):
Right maybe the the injury was a big, story BUT
i DON'T i, MEAN i hate to say, this But
i've kind of grown accustomed to golf tournaments Without Tiger.
Woods it's like a nice little added benefit if they.
Have do you KNOW i was twenty twenty, four you,
know the last golf tournament that he played in For Tiger. Woods,
NO i have no idea twenty twenty FOUR Us Open,

(01:40:30):
Championship British, open and he didn't make the.

Speaker 4 (01:40:32):
Cut in, fact it's funny because you say. It i'm
not disagreeing with.

Speaker 10 (01:40:38):
You the.

Speaker 3 (01:40:40):
Least hee won two Three in the last five or
six tournaments that he's, played he has missed the. Cut
he made the cut and The masters in twenty twenty,
four but shot in eighty two in the third. Round of,
course you had the dramatic win that he had in The.
MASTERS I i mean that's going back quite a bit
now twenty. Eighteen but STILL i don't.

Speaker 10 (01:41:03):
Know.

Speaker 4 (01:41:03):
Dude you, say, oh you Need tiger there to make it.
EXCITING i think that ship.

Speaker 3 (01:41:07):
SAILED i think we need to start figuring out if
we're going to get excited and if we're going to
talk About rory and these guys who are making.

Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
Hey, doubtful, Doubtful, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:41:16):
Of johnny, Right spaniard can't be without his phone for ten,
minutes so he can't attend the.

Speaker 4 (01:41:20):
Masters, yeah but you not everybody gave up their.

Speaker 2 (01:41:23):
Phone trump's granddaughter had her phone in there taking, pictures
which is a, no, no you're not allowed to do that.
Stuff not everybody turns their phone in though when they
go which where'd you see?

Speaker 4 (01:41:32):
That where were her pictures?

Speaker 2 (01:41:33):
At it was On?

Speaker 4 (01:41:35):
Twitter, Right but was it actually at the course or
was it outside of?

Speaker 2 (01:41:38):
It it was inside the?

Speaker 4 (01:41:40):
Course, well shoot me the. PICTURE i didn't. See they
got to kick her out of there, then, YEAH i
had the picture just a second.

Speaker 2 (01:41:45):
AGO i have to go ahead pull it up for.

Speaker 3 (01:41:47):
You But, matt all, Right so you you have this
theory now That Diana rassini should sue all THE nfl
teams if she gets fired and The.

Speaker 4 (01:41:58):
Titans who? Else you get?

Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
Down The?

Speaker 4 (01:42:00):
Patriots don't get The.

Speaker 3 (01:42:01):
Patriots, yeah don't get The patriots because you think she.
COULD i don't, know can cock like a hostile work
environment from adults having an?

Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
AFFAIR i would threaten to. Subpoena uh the female, support
female reporters that all came before, her and the all
gonna go just, say, Yeah, diana we got your.

Speaker 4 (01:42:24):
Back, no they're going to lie in a court of.

Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
Law, Chris, well then there's NOTHING i could do if
you're going to start telling me people are going to.
Lie when you get to a court of, law you're
supposed to tell the. Truth so you know people are.
Lying i'm not saying they're gonna.

Speaker 4 (01:42:36):
Lie i'm, saying do you think there's a serious problem?
Too it's never gonna make it to. It what are
you subpoenaing them?

Speaker 2 (01:42:43):
FOR i would to show that how it's always been
a hostile work, environment how it's always been an old boys.
Club how the owner of The Washington redskins, wife you,
know also accused.

Speaker 4 (01:42:56):
Her Of you, KNOW i don't think that's gonna help your.
Case it's not, gonna but it's gonna show you what
if you then dig into that and you find out
that she was having an.

Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
Affair but it's not gonna get to that point, though
even if she did have an. Affair you're sitting there
and you're banking on. Everyone just you, right BECAUSE i,
mean what are you gonna? Say you're gonna answer those uncomfortable?
Questions what if they're not, uncomfortable they're very, Uncomfortable, CHRIS
i promise, you, okay what's the.

Speaker 4 (01:43:24):
Question, okay then what's your first question to.

Speaker 2 (01:43:27):
Let's Say Robert. Kraft, Yeah i'm gonna have his brain so.
Scrambled i'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (01:43:33):
START i think your brain scrambled on this.

Speaker 2 (01:43:35):
One you, KNOW i. DON'T i don't get, you, GUYS
i really. Don't You guys like you guys are the biggest.
Pushovers you and our. Listeners you just take this sitting.
Down you think you're gonna go ahead and push me
around and and and say you're. Fired and that's. It
i'm supposed to take.

Speaker 3 (01:43:50):
It it's one thing if you want to go after
say the athletic if they fire, you to think you're
gonna suddenly sue EVERY nfl. TEAM i, mean there's a
two attorney that is checking in that Says, arnie you
have zero legal grounds for a.

Speaker 2 (01:44:03):
Lawsuit where did you see? THAT i didn't see that.
One where'd that one?

Speaker 3 (01:44:06):
Go you're tagged on A Matt, Right i'm an. Attorney
she has zero legal grounds for a. Lawsuit when you
work somewhere like you do At Fox Sports, radio you
need to adhere to a professional and ethical standard or
you could face. Termination conflict of. Interest, also the allegations
of other instances in the. Past the door swings both.
Ways if you see THE, nfl they would dig deep

(01:44:28):
into all of her, sources and who knows If rabel
was the only. One, again he's not gonna get to that, point,
Apparently arnie's. Everyone WHEN i get to, that he's.

Speaker 4 (01:44:40):
Just about to, say you think THE nfl really wants
to go?

Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
There what's?

Speaker 4 (01:44:43):
Wrong, well if you're gonna, yeah if they're if you're
gonna tell me you're gonna try to sue me for
thirty million, dollars then, Yeah i'm gonna go. There i'm gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:44:51):
Drink i'm gonna drag up every piece of dirt that's
ever been out there on.

Speaker 2 (01:44:55):
You you. Know i'm glad you guys aren't my. ATTORNEYS
i really. Am if anybody's ever, yeah me, too make
sure you call me. First i'll get with a really
good at dirty and.

Speaker 3 (01:45:04):
WELL i want you TO i want you you have
so many attorney. FRIENDS i want you to call all
of them, tomorrow AND i want you to record it
so you can hear them, Say, arnie that's the dumbest
Thing i've ever heard in my.

Speaker 2 (01:45:17):
Mind, Wow now everything welcome EVERYTHING i say it turns
out to be the. Dumbest every week it's the. Dumbest
this one's pretty this one pretty. Much take you was
going to take The domphins to the Super. Bowl that's
the dumbest ding we could ever.

Speaker 3 (01:45:34):
SAY i, mean that was pretty, Dumb Bob, Wright, CHRIS
i kind of agree with the stinking. Genius there you
go that If rassini wants to play the victim, card
she could get something out of this if she does
a hostile work. Environment do you want to prove otherwise

(01:45:56):
IF i felt they made me or my career was going?
Downhill ya Ya, Yeah but, again consenting, adults you're not
going out to THE. Nfl you're going after the athletic
if they fire. YOU i, MEAN i just don't get. It,
Kyle after What arnie just said tonight Regarding Diana, Rassini
i'm convinced he rode the short bus while attending.

Speaker 2 (01:46:15):
School it Means.

Speaker 3 (01:46:17):
CODY i listened to Big foot And Flat earth podcast
And arnie's lawsuit takes was one of the dumbest Things
i've ever heard through my.

Speaker 2 (01:46:24):
Speakers always, whatever, people that's got to be always the,
dumbest the, dumbest there's always got to be.

Speaker 4 (01:46:30):
THAT i think the nigg's gonna win the championship the.

Speaker 3 (01:46:35):
Dumbest two two more quick ones, here two more quick.
Ones Rick flair is checked. In he, Writes arnie is
trolling talking about the, lawsuit and the only person that
agrees with him is is his burner.

Speaker 4 (01:46:46):
Account and then There's.

Speaker 3 (01:46:47):
Brendan there would be zero legal grounds for a lawsuit
if Either verbel Or rassini lost their. Jobs while that
would be, bad both of them brought this whole mess
upon themselves and no jury is going to be bait
it into thinking they're victims in this. Case, Well, brandon
apparently it's not going to get to that case because
everyone's just going to settle and Give arnie all their.

Speaker 2 (01:47:06):
MONEY i can't wait till the lawsuits start coming.

Speaker 3 (01:47:09):
OUT i don't doubt that there might be one against
the athletic BUT i, mean you're gonna SUE nfl team
stop all, Right steve The sager one final time tonight
comes rolling in with everything that's trending in the world of.

Speaker 4 (01:47:20):
Sports what's, Up?

Speaker 8 (01:47:21):
Steve, again if her contract runs, out then there's no
termination and no. Lawsuit anything that is, True and you
mentioned in THE nba law. Suit not so, quick by the,
WAY i want to Make arnie feel. Better what he
said is only like the sixth stupidest Thing i've heard
on our good.

Speaker 4 (01:47:36):
Points, okay so it's only top.

Speaker 2 (01:47:38):
Six there you go this.

Speaker 8 (01:47:39):
Week as for what you talked about WITH nba players
being ineligible for postseason, awards it's a sixty five game.

Speaker 4 (01:47:47):
Rule you have to play at least that many games
in a season or.

Speaker 2 (01:47:51):
Else.

Speaker 8 (01:47:51):
Luka, doncic before he got, hurt had played sixty four
games for The, lakers and he had missed one oh,
yeah one game suspension because of too many technical fell yeah,
yeah and yet ap points out he led THE nba
in points. Scored, nonetheless this year he was only thirty
seventh in minutes, played but scored the most points well

(01:48:14):
over two.

Speaker 4 (01:48:14):
Thousand didn't they? Petition but THE nba, said, no we
don't care.

Speaker 8 (01:48:18):
That, well he's not the only one in THIS i
mean to play sixty four games and not sixty. Five victor, Women,
yama was it sixty, four wasn't? He and then just
got the twenty minutes needed this weekend to. Go, Okay
cunningham was just.

Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
Short, well don't got a Million. Technicals how about.

Speaker 8 (01:48:33):
That Anthony edwards were just. SHORT i Think Devin booker as.
Well it's Just i'm not saying it's. Silly the problem
is the teams and the players who don't play the
games they are contracted to. Play the fans are the
ones who, pay you, know literally pay for tickets and
who pay for it by tuning into a game and,
oh nobody's playing, Great why AM i tuning? In we'll
get to MORE nba in a. Moment But rory McElroy

happen BUT i do know some of the. Matchups i'm
gonna take The. Cavaliers i'm not gonna just do individual.

(01:57:29):
Games i'm gonna take The cavaliers to get by The.
RAPTORS i like The nuggets over The. Timberwolves my knicks

The hawks are going to take out The. Knicks stop.
It i'll quit my job if that. Happens, breeds you
make sure that's being recorded right. Now, ABSOLUTELY i will
quit my job if that. Happens hawks are playing good

Better, yeah that's. UH i didn't even think about.

Speaker 3 (01:59:22):
THAT i completely and totally just The lakers aren't in
the play in, tournament which is like a crazy thing for.
Me The thunder had been the one seed for like
four years in a. ROW i completely and totally lost
track of the actual play in tournament, itself not being
on REGULAR. Tv when to, sag when to? Saga threw
that out. Earlier i'm not gonna. LIE i was a
little bit. SHOOK i was, like wait? What and it

(01:59:44):
is kind of crazy to think that The warriors And
clippers will be playing for their postseason. Lives that's crazy.
Wild and if The clippers didn't give Up Shay Gilgess,
alexander we might not have this growing dynasty that's happening
right now In Oklahoma.

Speaker 2 (02:00:02):
City are you Surprising Doc rivers is hanging it? Up hold,

What he was On Dan patrick's. Show they said who's
gonna last? Song Or Dan patrick or you? Doc and
he said that's going to Be Dan. Patrick SO i
think he had a feeling it was going to. Happen
he was trying to dip us. OFF i don't think
he comes. BACK i think he's ready to call it a. Career.

Speaker 3 (02:00:25):
Yeah he had that weird quote about A sham's report
How shams was all mad at him and he's going
to get back at. Him and then all of a,
sudden the first PLACE i see where he was being
let go if you, will was From. Shams SO i
thought it was a. JOKE i was, like, wait what?
