Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to sports. Let's go stick and let's
go pig boy. Let's go you and your teams.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Huh what run?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
My teams don't lose anymore. They don't lose. Congratulations, What
do you mean, congradua? What it does? The best time
in my life? What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Well, it's it's you know, it comes off the worst
time in your life, which was a week and a
half ago. So I'm not you know, you tend to, oh,
what's the best way to put this? You tend to
ride the tide a little bit too.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Well, that don't ever did it again.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
In fact, I say, Mary dump that every time he
plays a dolphin noise?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
You know she could.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I guess that's one way to look at it.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
I just got dumped.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Oh, if it's getting dumped every time you play, stop
playing it. Congratulations on beating the Saints, I guess. And
now you know, in the.

Speaker 6 (00:55):
Twelve years we've been doing this show, I've never had
a wind streak that I'm going on right now with
all my teams. Never all my team All they kept doing.
All they do is win, win, win, win win.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
Wow, they've been bad for so long. The one streakman.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Now, No, I'm just talking to all my teams like
I'm curious. The Dophins has been a week.

Speaker 6 (01:15):
No, No, the Dolphins have won three of their last four.
My Arizona Football's won five in a row.

Speaker 7 (01:20):
That's not a streak. Three of the last four Arizona. Yeah, Arizonta,
Arizona's one hoops seven and oh football's won five in
a row. My knicks are are pretty much right up
there at number two in these drinks.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
All my teams do is win, win, win, win, win win.
Congress a lottery ticket, should a lottery ticket?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Your picks were actually decent this week. I mean, if
I was coming up, Arnie.

Speaker 6 (01:46):
If I was single, I'd be going all the single
bars hitting on women.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, let's not get too carried away here.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
What are you talking? W W? What do you have
to offer someone right now? Hi? My name is Arnie.
My teams are good. I don't have any full time job.
I live with my walk. I mean, what do you
have to offer right now? Yeah? It was very tough
when I was younger to pick up women when I'm like, Hi,
my name is Arnold, very tough to you know, get
get the thing going after that my Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Why you heard about how good Arizona's basketball team.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Is, Let's go give me your number.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Now.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Sunday Night football is in full effect, and it's actually
been a pretty good game. We had a highlight reel
catch by Traylon Burgs, which honestly not gonna lie, didn't
realize he was a Commander. And we got a pretty
good game head down the home stretch between two teams
that are fighting in the playoff mix.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
I guess that what I guess Commanders are one of
those teams that's.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
In the really, right.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I mean, if you look at the Fox and the
CBS graphics that they put up, and they'll have teams
that are in the hunt somehow, some way at currently
three and eight. They had Washington in the hunt today
one of the graphics that I saw, I'm like, really,
But then again that same van, I mean, Miami five

(03:00):
and seven, and they were in the hunt according to
one of.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
The graphics I saw today.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
So you got that.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
But yeah, I did my calculations, Duvins. If my math
calculations is right, one point six percent chance to get it.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Hey, there you go, going two games back right now,
we are getting the football back to the Commanders, though,
and they trail twenty seventeen with about four minutes to
go to the game, four forty two to be exact,
they'll have it on their own twenty yard line. Not
a bad day, not, I mean, it's it's hard. And
you've done shows on Thursday and Friday, whenever you decided
to work with VJ instany, which es bleep you were

(03:35):
you even on? Did you even talk? I never heard you?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
But not get paid You shouldn't. But we had good
games on Thursday.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
We had an interesting game yesterday which kind of was
was odd because as you're watching it, you're like, wait,
which team won the Super Bowl last year? You had
a crazy day of college football in the final regular
season week.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
The way congratulations on your Oklahoma Sooners and our Oklahoma Sooners.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Not our my and the way I watch my petition
later on okay, and then on.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
The day let me finish light the day, and then
earlier today, in addition to all of the excitement of
the National Football League, you had a crazy I don't
want to say conclusion because in State's still open and
Kentucky's open now, but you had essentially the end of
one of the wildest coaching care sels that we've seen,
and it comes literally the day after the regular season raps,

(04:30):
and it involves teams that could be in the playoffs
like Tulane and Old Miss losing their coaches.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
So we'll get to all that coming up here in
just a bit.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Uh, and obviously recapping because it's just it's hard to say, oh,
let's recap the day of football because it's been essentially
only a week of football that we've had NonStop.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
It's been It's been awesome.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
It is especial because I, like you said, I worked
Thursday and Friday, so it's it's been back for Thanksgiving
and you know Thanksgiving guys, it used to be only
what one game or two games?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Chris?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Now we yeah get you on Thursday.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
Yeah, it's like a full fledged now full schedule, three games, Springking,
a little college, a little basketball, just about everything. So
it was it was a lot of fun and yeah,
a lot of action, a lot of big games on
all the other dogs won absolutely crazy.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Well I don't only get too carried away because the
Raiders weren't underdog and they did not win.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
But what is your petition, Oh, I.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Was just gonna say this sad. You brought up college.
That's why I was interrupting you. I think we should
have a petition to get the Arizona Wildcats into the
twelve team playoff, sure, in place of another team that
probably really doesn't deserve it.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
So the Arizona Wildcats, who have won five straight games
to get to let me see here, nine and three,
nine and three, fifth in the Big twelve.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
So you want to get the fifth place team? We're
really higher than that because the referees took a couple
of wins from us. Would you accept me complaining about
the officials? No? But I think we should go instead
of Oklahoma, right.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Because you beat Alabama in Bama and Tennessee and Knoxville
and LSU, and you took care of South.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Did you beat South Carolina in South Carolina? I mean, what,
what's what's what's the win you're hanging your hat on
right now? Big twelve is pretty tough, my friend. Don't
that guy gets that?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
What win are you hanging your hat on right now?

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Well, maybe we don't have like a top five win,
if that's.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
What you're asking, right, you don't have a top five win?
In fact, I don't they have.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
I think you have this one rank to win this year,
and I think it was over Arizona State, who won't
be ranked. Whatever the last rank is, you guys were ranked.
You will be top twenty afterwards. Its good luck in
the Copper Bowl or I don't know, I'm point Setia
Bowl or I'm.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
So mad we're going to we're going to the Holiday Bowl.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I was that where they've already decided they're going.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I'm pretty sure. I'm like one hundred and two percent
and we'll play some buloney team like Pittsburgh or Miami
or SMU, some some garbage team that shouldn't be there.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Let me see, what did ESPN have as your projection? Here?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
They've got you in the Holiday Bawl. It's gonna be
the Holiday Bowl? Is that what they've got you?

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Well, here's one that's got you in the l A
Bowl against Uh no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. This has
you in the Snoop Dog Bowl, right man? So that
would be pretty fun, right uh? And then Mark Mack,
Mark Schlabaugh and the Monagurat dude on ESPN, have you
in the snap Dragon Stadium in San Diego?

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Yeah, that's the Holiday against and s m u.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
You should go.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
You should go.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
Unlets, Dan Marino and Tony Dorset are gonna play. I
have no interest in seeing that us beating up some
second rate team.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Please, second rate team. How was the How was the
NFL day for you? Are you happy now that your
Dolphins beat the Saints on the very rare two point conversion?

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Take back for were not the two point conversion? We
lose that game? You know that, right?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
I know I was watching it.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
It was the star of red zone, this star of
red zone near the end.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
We don't get that.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
The Saints kick a field goal and we lose the
game by a point. For crying out loud, so uh yeah, No,
I mean I told you what was gonna happen. This
is all part of my plan. I told you like
a month and a half again, when the Dolphins were
one and six, and like I said, you guys were
writing us off and we didn't right back, no, And

(08:23):
I told you we were going to turn it around.
Now we're five and seven. I said we were gonna
win two more in a row and go to seven
and seven. That's exactly what's gonna happen. I not only
did I tell you that, then you laughed at me
when I told you to watch up for Jacksonville. You
laughed at me about that, and then I told you
it was O V. E. R for the Kansas City Chiefs,
and then you're really laughed at me. And that now

(08:45):
nobody ain't laughing except for me, now right there?

Speaker 1 (08:47):
You right?

Speaker 3 (08:47):
You know what you I tried to write them off
and they wrote back right, So that's what happened. You're
just I mean, listen, you're calling all the shots here, dude. Congrats.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
My goodness, man, it's like I have a crystal ball
in front of me.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
That's right, you're just calling them all.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Man, fire, my teams are winning. This is like crazy.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
It's like the first time, and it's like Charlie Brown's
kicking the football for the first time in his life.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
I'm just really happy that you never gave up on
the Dolphins, and you always believe that you never wanted
your coat stick.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
With your team. I told you you never wanted to
get cut or traded. I'm glad you stay listen to me.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
Could I just say something, I see where you're getting
You're being very sarcastic.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Yes, because you have need to fire your coat everybody,
And you want this cut.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
Here's Chris Plank. Everybody who never fights with his wife,
so they never get into an argument, right there, you go?
So what so maybe I got in a fight with
my wife, Maybe I get a little argument with Tua.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
But I always wanted I always loved him. You know
that that's my quarterback every since from day one when
we drafted him.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
So it's not what you're boloney, No, Arnie, Listen, I'm
happy your team is winning.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
All my teams, not just the Dolphins. All my teams
are winning.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Well, I mean, you're you're starting to like make everyone
a little bit less than happy with the way you act.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
But to pretend just.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
The losers out there, I can't help that your team
are losers in mine art anymore.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
That's right. Uh, you know what I am.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
You've always had his back, and that you never that
he ever tried to punt on everyone in that organization
is borderline hilarious.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
I feel like the pretty girl that lost a whole
bunch of weight in the summer and now she comes
back to school really hot.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
You know what I'm talking about?

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Do you know what the girl's girl? Right?

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Do you know what? Do you know what. That is
a sign of no. I have no idea a fad
diet that's gonna end up busting in the end. So wow,
you should have lost the Saints today. Geez. I will
say if I would be beating my chest if I
were you, and I'd be beating my chest over any
of my teams. I think I'm beating my chest over

(10:54):
the arizon A football team more than anyone else.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
To be honest, yeah, I mean that. I mean that
was good to Dolphins still stink.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
I'm only disappointed because we have to play some bozo team.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Like this or Miami.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
When you're twenty, because we played bozo teams when our
four conference team who was in the mix for an
ACC championship. Can I just say.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
Something when you're living off your nineteen eighty reputation like Miami,
Uh is Michael still playing? Is they're gonna play wide receiver?
I can come on, man, this is not the nineteen eighties. Good,
let's move on reputation. Is Arizona living off We're the new, worthy,
up and coming, We're new new sheriff in town. Like
Eddie Murphy says.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Again, finishing sixth in your conference, that's not really that's you. See,
you're misrepresenting us. I don't like when you do that.
But because one, there's so many damn teams in our conference,
were really better better than six, we're really like one
or two.

Speaker 6 (11:48):
We're buying Texas Tech. I'll give you that. That's joy
team we're behind. We lost to byu As they ripped
us off and they admitted that, and we lost to
use it on the last play of the game and
they ripped us off.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Other than that, we just lost Iowa State. That's it.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Well, I will say this much. My team finished sixth
in their conference and we're going to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I know.

Speaker 6 (12:06):
See that's Bolondi. That's why we deserve to go over you.
We deserve to go over a lot of teams.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
What is the reasoning? Give me your hard statistical data
why Arizona deserves the spot over say Oklahoma or I
don't know who else you want to throw on that
makes any other two loss?

Speaker 6 (12:23):
There was one team that it's getting in with like
one top twenty five win or something like that.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
There's yeah, one one team something like that. Who's that team?
I don't remember? Off top I do it all.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
I bring Rocks to a gunfight. I mean, what are
you doing here? No, just Notre Dame.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
I'll answer your question for you.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
It's Notre Dame who's going to get in as a
two loss team because they love Notre Dame even though
they probably shouldn't. But are we going to be able
to talk about anything but the Dolphins today on the.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Show and the Arizona podcastinating and you know, after it
all started with the Yukon thing too on that game,
we just don't lose, man, It's just go.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Ahead, win, win, win, win win, DJA, why did you
not let him talk on wow?

Speaker 2 (13:08):
And so we would have to deal with it tonight?

Speaker 6 (13:10):
Just win, win win. You got to give you a
little leeway. Your first time in a dozen years, my
team has win a dozen years. Could you imagine if
Charlie Brown kicked the football, you guys would all be flabbergast.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
You're like, oh my god, did Charlie kick the football?

Speaker 6 (13:25):
Finally, my teams are winning, gonna win the championship in basketball,
the Knicks are gonna win. Everybody's winning win, win win,
Which you think about that? Yeah, I'm good, I feel
like maybe my good? Are you good?

Speaker 3 (13:39):
You're just You've literally spent the whole fourteen minutes bragging
on your team, hurting your elbow, patting yourself on the back.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
You okay, now hey when you got in flaunted baby.
I don't necessarily know if that's the best way to go,
But here we are, three twelve to go in the
football game. The Broncos have the football back.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Big third down, try to seal this one up incomplete
by Bo Nicks. Washington will get the football back with
the chance to potentially tie and our win on Sunday
Night Football as the nine to two Broncos are facing
a tough challenge tonight from the three win Washington team, which, again,
according to all the graphics out there, are in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
That's been blone Eithery're not into it? Come on man,
all right?

Speaker 3 (14:22):

Speaker 3 (15:19):
All right, we've reached the two minute warning, the Commanders
having at midfield twenty seventeen. The Broncos lead it clock running,
see if they can't put themselves in position for a
game tying field goal or maybe even win this thing.
Any takeaways from this one tonight outside of bo Nick's
looking very very human after oh, they just will play

(15:41):
dead because of a false start. Bo Nick's looking very
human after what I guess was a pretty solid performance
the last few weeks.

Speaker 6 (15:48):
No, well, this one and kind of like a little
bit of the NFL as the Rams loss, but look
at the top teams AMC, NMC.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
They just don't scare you, you know what I mean.
I fill Heelphia, it's crazy. I've never seen Philadelphia. It's
not the top team anymore.

Speaker 6 (16:03):
It's the Bears, right, I know that, but I've never
seen We're like the top two seeds in each conference. Really,
You're like, who cares if we have to play that,
We're ready, we have no problem with that. But it's
just so wide open, especially with the teams on top.
It's absolutely crazy out there.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
I can't figure out the Carolina Panthers for the life
of me.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Is that was that a great win today or what?
That was? Unbelievable? They played like a playoff team. They
were good.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
The Panthers have wins this year over the playoff bound
Miami Dolphins, the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers in Green Bay,
and what looked to be an absolute monster of a
Los Angeles Rams team. They also have a loss to
the Saints, and they were beaten by the Arizona Cardinals

(16:50):
this year. I mean, it's just it doesn't make a
lot of it. And they got beat forty to nine
by the Bills.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
I remember one.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
Week we did I what I know after a week
thirteen or whatever. I think this was last year, and
I said, I know one thing, and I don't need
to see anymore.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Bryce Young just can't play. That's it.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
He's gotsta go. There's gotta get a new quarterback. He's
just gonna not gonna make it.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Chris not gonna cut it out, you know what I mean,
just not gonna make it, not gonna hack it in
the NFL, not for long fifteen.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Of twenty for two hundred and six yards and three touchdowns. Today.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Who saw that coming up?

Speaker 3 (17:25):
I mean not today. I'm just saying they haven't. They
haven't really needed him to do much. Their defense has
been pretty good. But the bottom line, more than anything else,
is that they are right in the playoff makes based
on their division and where they are right now. Who
would have thought that with Carolina And like you said,
bo Nicks as well. But anyway, that was a fun

(17:46):
game to watch. I thought it was one of those
days where you kind of felt like it was opposite
day Panthers beating the Rams, Jets winning I mean, not
necessarily a dophense, but the Texans take can care of
the Colts when the Colts had been absolutely unstoppable. I mean,
it just there was a lot of weird stuff in

(18:06):
that early windows in trouble, cults are in trouble, and
it's and it's weird too, Arnie, because you just don't
have a lot of games. Right by the time that
we got to Sunday, you had what four games it
had already been played this week, three on Fursday and
one on Friday. You got one more still to go
with Monday Night football. It's kind of a weird schedule overall.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
It was weird, Like you said, the three on Thursday,
then they squeezed it one more on Friday.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
I don't know why we really had to have.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
That one, because they got paid for it, That's why.

Speaker 6 (18:38):
I understand that. So uh, and then it kind of
thins everything out on Sunday. We used to did for
the Sunday afternoon. But we had we had some good
games and you know, for the first the morning games,
like out of the seven game, six were one score
games going into the fourth quarter, so we had some
pretty good endings.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
You know, that was a very by the way, you
paying attention what's going on on Sunday Night football.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Yeah, I have the game here, But what was they
called intentional grounding?

Speaker 3 (19:07):
And I don't know that I've ever seen an intentional
grounding cold whenever a guy throws it down the field
like marioen did, I mean literally wasn't out of the
box though, Is that what they're Okay, they're showing now
that he didn't get outside the box, But I mean
there was a receiver.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Kind of in the area, So that did you see?

Speaker 6 (19:23):
Since gosh, I can't remember what game you might have
been the Texans on the the ball on the on
the extra point went wide left, and both officials and
said that's.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
Good enough to call it good. There, I thought that
thing was missed. No good I was, And you can't
review those. Why there is no review on missed extra
points or field goals? I don't know why that's at
least I don't know if it's the same in the NFL.
They didn't review it. I know it's that's the case

(19:54):
in college. But that looked to be absolutely blatant.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
As far as they saw it, I think they just
that the hell with it, let's just call it good.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
You know what I will say, I never really realized this.
I was behind the goal post a couple of times
on Saturday. It is hard to tell. I know that
you think, oh, it looks so easy because the camera angle,
it's really tough to tell. I don't know necessarily that
being underneath the goal post is the best angle to
see whether or not a guy is an extra point

(20:22):
is good, to be honest with you, So it it was.
It was weird, dude. And by the way you mentioned it,
Colts might be in a little bit of trouble right now.

Speaker 8 (20:29):
They are.

Speaker 6 (20:30):
Daniel Jones has got a problem. I think he's one
of the hams dring. I don't think he ran the
ball today. If he can't run, that's going to be
a major problem for them.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
They're gonna hit a snag going on. In the last
five games, only only.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Ran at one time as a team. As a team,
the Colts ran at twenty three times for just eighty
six yards and eighty five with US. Eighty six came
from Jonathan Taylor, So got to get your running game going.
That was a good win for Houston. I thought one
other game that was I mean, fairly entertaining. It does
really registering the playoff chase at all, But I mean,

(21:03):
are the Jets better, Arnie? Are the Jets actually turning
a corner a little bit? They win their third game
of the season, being the Falcons twenty seven.

Speaker 6 (21:12):
Remember we're talking about firing Aeron Gwnn. This is this
guy gonna make it to his first year. This guy's horrible. Yeah,
they are playing harder, they're playing better. Give them credit.
They you know, they make a quarterback change and that
was You know, if I'm a Falcon fan, I'm beside myself.
You talk about a disappointment, I would say the Falcons
are the biggest disappointment in football.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
If the Ravens weren't around.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
For crying out loud, It's just unbelievable how many disappointments
we have.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
They were zero and seven and now they've won three
of their last five games, and they got your boys
coming up next week.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Arenie. All of a sudden, I'm a little warried. That
was a give me win like four or five weeks ago.
So all right, the Washington Commanders are on the move.
Forty five forty four seconds left.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
They just picked up being in what second and twenty
five they just picked up, but first down, they have
one time out left. The clock is ticking. They're not
quite in field goal range yet, but oh now they are.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Yeah, well they are asked.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
The Deebo Samuel, they're trying. Oh they got a flag.
There's a flag on the play. I wonder if this
is coming back. Well, while we keep tabs on this
one other game, I want to bring up before we
slide to Sega in here and no, it's it's it's
not going to be the disaster that are the Raiders.
Are we are we pulling Shador Sanders from the Hall
of Fame after his after his performance against the Raiders?

(22:30):
Are we are we yanking him from the first game
hall of Fame yet?

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Or or what? Just?

Speaker 3 (22:36):
I mean, it was a miserable weather wise, but I
just it's a big difference when you're playing the Raiders
as opposed to playing the San Francisco forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Yeah, you know what, it was ten to eight.

Speaker 6 (22:46):
I'm like, if this, even if he pulls out a
victory year, people are gonna lose their marbles about this.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
I'm thinking, oh my god, I was rooting for him
eight in the second quarter or eight seven, eight to seven,
excuse seven whatever? Ten eight at a time? Yeah, forty
nine ers.

Speaker 6 (23:02):
I'm like, if he could pull this out, they're gonna
go ahead and put a statue up for this guy.
I was hoping he could pull it out, but then
it got ugly, and you know, San Francisco just flexed
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
All right, we'll keep an eye on the final seconds
here of Sunday Night football. The Broncos just had twelve
men on the field, but Washington had completed that pass
to Samuel.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
So they've got it right around the twenty seven yard line.
But that's stop o'clock. So that's that's what people that
really helped.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Yeah, twenty six seconds left, clock has stopped, Washington still
has one time out, and now they just they push
it down to thirty one seconds. So twenty seventeen. Denver
leads Washington on the move, and so are we because
Steve the Sacre comes sliding in with what's trending after
his day.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
It's so five.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
What's going on, Steve? It wasn't a good Charger day
for you to SAYGAA, it wasn't not They won the game.
Oh I thought they had an injury.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
That's fine, man, Yeah, yeah, well, Chris can I think
confirmed that when you're working and your head spinning and
you're in the middle of it all. It's not at
all the same as sitting on your couch.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
You want to not at all, not at all.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
You're focused on one game, and every so often someone
gives you a score update, you're like, what, all right,
anyway back to our game.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
But the Las Vegas, I mean, I appreciate Pete Carroll's
optimism and what he thinks they're going to do optimism.
Part of me says, what planet are you on, dude,
because this is not just one or two bad games.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
This is who they are and it's wretched.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Nine drives, twelve first downs today, first half against the
Chargers eighty five yards. Second half seventy one yards. That
was an NFL team.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Golat it fell asleep.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
Charger defense. Nine quarterback hits against Gino Smith, five sacks,
five passes defense. Yes there was interception as well. So
the Raiders all time. They did win a game at
SOFI Stadium in Englewood when there were no fans the
COVID year. Aside from that, they are zero to seven
in that stadium all time. Raiders worst record in any

(24:59):
state since the merger in nineteen seventy. And by the way,
you talked about Daniel Jones, the Indie quarterback correct not
looking the same. An NFL network said this week it's
a cracked fibula which is now in the world. Are
you playing, dude? He had two touchdown passes, but Indy
lost at home to Houston twenty to sixteen. Right now,

(25:19):
it's Denver twenty to seventeen in the lead at Washington. However,
the Commanders are in field goal range a third and
three coming up from the Denver twenty. And who is
the kicker these days for Washington. It's Jake Moody X
of San Francisco. He had a couple extra points tonight,
a thirty eight yard field goal early in the fourth quarter.
There is one other kicker this year, matthew Wright, who

(25:41):
has scored points for three different teams this season, as
Moody has for the forty nine Ers, the Bears, and
the Commanders. And Marcus Marioti has just picked up a
first down, my goodness, twenty to seventeen. Four now for
a Denver team that has won eight in a row,
trying to go to ten and two this season, and
Washington has lost six straight. It is currently three and

(26:03):
eight twelve seconds left, a first down at the Denver
fourteen coming up, so at minimum they're sending this to overtime.
Mariota with two hundred and thirty three yards passing, one touchdown,
one interception. Tight End zach Ertz has been targeted twelve times.
He has ten catches for one hundred and six yards. Meanwhile,
the leading receiver with four catches for Denver is Courtland Sutton.

(26:28):
He did have an eleven yard TV just before halftime
to get him a lead time out three point Denver
lead for now. The Charger win was thirty one fourteen
over the Raiders. Quarterback Justin Herbert of La played through
a broken left hand. He'll have surgery Monday. At two touchdowns,
one interception. By the way, I mentioned the very little
offense for the Raiders. Raiders have been playing against Chargers

(26:49):
twice a year since nineteen sixty when the AFL started.
This was nearly a record low for first downs by
the Raiders in any game ever against the Chargers. Evans
still the record. They had twelve first downs today th
eighteen carries thirty one yards from Ashton. I wish I
could see an updated stat of what I saw early

(27:10):
in the season is the amount of time that he
gets contacted before he even gets to the line of scrimmage.
On the percentage of.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Daily ran forty six place today. Oh my gosh, it
was a fire everyone.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Well, I think they did last Sunday night during the
show seeat a little shut out Minnesota twenty six to nothing.
You talk about bad offense? Who thirteen drives for the Vikings,
eleven first downs as JJ McCarthy's in concussion protocol so
Max Brosmer was the QB. Four interceptions thrown, including at
pick six. Buffalo won at Pittsburgh twenty six to seven.

(27:45):
Carolina did end the Rams six game winning streak thirty
one twenty eight victories for San Francisco and Houston on
the road, home wins for Miami and Tampa Bay and
the Jets, who beat Atlanta twenty seven to twenty four
on a fifty six yard field goal final play. Jacksonville
won at Tennessee twenty five to three. The Titans have
lost seven.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
In a row.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
They're one and eleven. An update, there's now four seconds
left at Washington after an incompletion.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
I mean, they're not even This has been the worst.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Back to back in completions that aren't even close. It's
like they're just trying to run out the clock in
any way possible. So with four seconds left, Jake Moody
is coming onto the field. Ask a Niner fan, he
was an adventure kicking. Now, this is only going to
be a thirty two yard attempt to tie and send
it to overtime.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
So I give you the play by play, Steve.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
I have complete confidence that from the left ash Jake
Moody is going to be able to make this right.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
You're going over time four to five on lead, changing
field goal attempts in the final two minutes of the
fourth quarter or overtime.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
And it is straight through twenty end of regulation going
overtime in DC Commanders and Broncos. Even by the way,
in the late NBA game, the Lakers were destroying New
Orleans and they're back to a big lead. Now it's one,
eighteen ninety seven over the Pelicans with eight and a
half minutes ago. Lakers were shooting seventy percent from the

(29:10):
floor for about the first quarter and a half. Luka
Donzig thirty two points in thirty one minutes, and yes,
coach Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU back to you.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Hey, what about Justin Herbert? The guy broke his and
you didn't bring that up?

Speaker 4 (29:23):
Actually I did.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Oh yeah, you mentioned it.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
That was at you know.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
As soon as he left the field, And our sideline
reporter said later that not only was the trainer going
in with him, but later an equipment person with Oh
my goodness, they're trying to construct something for him. And
sure enough it was a cast and then a glove
over the cast. It was completely rigid and stiff. In fact,

(29:49):
our play by play guy said, he looks like, you know,
Luke Skywalker's arm at the end of the movie number three,
after there's been some surgery.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
That's a great way to look here.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
We'll see Herbert's.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Back on the and as de Sager said, he'll have
a procedure on Monday. And Herbert said he expects to
play in the December eighth game against the Eagles, which
will be Monday Night football next weekend.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
And he did play with a broken finger a couple
of years ago, left hand, but it really will affect
I mean, he wasn't under center, not even one snap
for the rest of the day today and it affects
the handoffs for half the handoffs.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Look at my man Tressway sooner Leged truss Way out
there calling the coin toss the pride of Union High School.
You got two tens battling, and we get the eight
thousandth explanation of the overtime rules. The overtime rules and
the playoff rules are the one thing that everyone with
any sporting like. It's the same now right, Yeah, they

(30:45):
treat it like we're all moron. So it's like, okay, everybody,
it's a ten minute overtime.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Or it's the only sport that gets twenty million viewers
and therefore the most general fan is coming out.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
That's a good point.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Maybe I should have a little grace on Do you
imagine the easy amount of viewers at Ohio State Indiana
it's going to be getting Saturday night?

Speaker 4 (31:04):
Usually Saturday night it's not a good night for TV.
But this weekend you've.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Got Ohio State Indiana, you got Alabama Georgia.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Don't forget the game opposite Ohio.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
No, hey, you think so funny. I was about to
say those are really meaningless games. Really, I was going
to say that, do you.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
But they're not do you think Duke, they're not. I mean,
basically they kind of they matter for a first round
buying the playoffs, and they matter for getting in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
It could open up, it could so they're not not.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
Meaningless meaningful for James Madison because get winds up are
the ACC champ. Keep in mind, it's the highest rank
conference champions that go. If Duke, which was six and
five until yesterday's win, beats Virginia this Saturday night, the
ACC champion is not going to be very highly ranked.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
No, it ranked at all. Do you know what I
would have done if I was the ACC. I just
would have said, hey, listen, these type they don't matter, Steve,
We're just going with Miami. They've all got the same records.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
You do what the Mountain West did when half the
conference was tied for first We have all of these
computers that were going to and this is what they
came up with.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
UNLV is going in New Mexico. Yet a great year.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Sorry you're not going in the final. By the way,
Tulane is right this past week, so it could just
as easily be TWU Lane or North Texas into the playoff.
As their coach is about to lead, but sticking in Arizona.
Imagine that a coach is sticking around for the playoff
run of his team, like the Tulane coach as well.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Updated tankathon numbers according to tankathon dot com. If you're
like me and you're already looking ahead to April's NFL Draft,
the Tennessee Titans continue their stranglehold on the top pick.
Do you see what Clay Travis tweeted? His theory is
that the Titans are the worst NFL team in the
history of the National Football League. Oh, there's never been

(32:54):
a worst team than explain, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
They were getting guys off the street on that roster
and lost their first what twenty six in a row.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Yeah, Spurrier the quarterback, he was on.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
One of those teams seventies. Titans have the first pick,
and we still have Monday Night football to go. But
the Titans had the first pick, followed by New Orleans
and jant So yeah, that's why I brought it up.
The Giants are the third pick right now, with the
Raiders picking fourth, and the Browns and their Hall of
Fame quarterback should Or Sanders currently have the three pick overall.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Well, three or four of those teams won't be taking quarterback.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Well, Brown stuck two, so who can predict.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
The Titans probably won't, the Giants probably won't. So that
means your top quarterback could go at two, and that
means if the Raiders can stay there at four, they
might actually get.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
A Yeah, Titans have Jake Locker, and you know, for
the next twelve years it's gonna be.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Hey, I know, our buddy shady Sean Ford twenty always
brings it up. There's starting to be a little pushback,
and maybe cam Ward's not that dude right now at
Tennessee not necessarily looked all that great, but I don't
think you could punt after one year.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
No, do you remember how bad the Rams were early
last season? Somebody asked me, are the Rams really this bad?
I said, I don't know, because the real Rams haven't
been on the field, and sure enough, they got to
the playoffs and they played. Philly's tough of anybody, So
maybe give him time for a real team to surround him.
All right, So we're watching overtime.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
The Broncos have the football were knotted up at twenty
Sunday night football just started. I almost had the second
half the overtime period between the Broncos and the Commanders.
Will keep you up to date with Arniy and Blank
all night right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (34:35):

the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live. I know it was Thursday.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
By the way, the Broncos went right down the field
on the first drive of overtime and scored, so Washington
now gets the football back. It's twenty seven twenty. I mean,
it was all the rules, this game would be over.
That's right, that's right. And I'm not going to point
out what member the crew thought it was over. Uh
not here to do that.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Somebody think it was over. Not here to do that, Patrick,
whoever it was to be fired.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
But the uh, the drive was actually pretty damn impressive
if you want to be honest. I mean they just
went right down the field with five plays seventy seventy
six yards in three minutes.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
I mean just boom boom boom.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Touched out Denver, but Washington six to catch the game
for Terry McLaurin, already knocking on the door of Denver territory.
They crossed a fifty on that already, so they're uh,
they're now they're at the forty six yard line of
the Denver Broncos. They've got a first in ten clocked
somewhat irrelevant. You need touchdown? How about just taking a
head here? If you score, go for two? Do you

(35:47):
maybe that was they might have scored that?

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Now? Would you go for two? You didn't even thought
the game was over. Now you're allowed to make mistakes
every now and then? Are make mistakes?

Speaker 5 (35:56):
Man?

Speaker 1 (35:56):
What did he say game over? Well?

Speaker 3 (35:59):
He caught himself quickly. He's like, oh, I was hoping
the Broncos were gonna know what funny that means?

Speaker 4 (36:03):
It's not over.

Speaker 6 (36:04):
The guy that was doing the play by play of
the Saint Stophins game when the Dolphins returned to two points,
he goes, and that's gonna steal the Dolphin victory?

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Like, what the hell are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (36:12):
You? How did what were they? I had the red
zone on, but I didn't have the audio up. Why
were they looking at the on side kick for so long?
It seemed pretty.

Speaker 6 (36:22):
See if he touched it before the ten, which he did,
He touched him before the ten yards. No, okay, well
but they but they gave it to him anyway because
they made up some boloney that dolphin player nipped it
with his thumb.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Well, they didn't make it up. That's they did.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
They made it.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
You couldn't see it, and the.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
They didn't make the rule up. I thought it looked
like it hit a dolphin player. So you're saying that
in the NFL, they're just making up rules along the
that was the rule, that was the rule.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
But they're making up that it hit his thumb.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
And I thought it hit his thumb clearly.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Did not hit his thumb, clearly stop it? Did you
watch the replay with your I saw a million eyes
I was. I saw That's why we want I'm like,
why are they looking at it? That dope with the
Dolphins touch the football? Should be Saints Baul my hearties
were saying when they said when they got the ball,
but oh, get if we who's the if we get
eliminated by the Saints, that is so disgusting.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Well you're kind of eliminated now, but I mean again
in two each their own. Now, I want to hit
a couple of quick texts to the show tweets text
whichever way you look at it, that's thinking genius one
at Plank Show. Everyone go follow us at Fox Sports Radio. James, Right,
So are the underdogs? Are the underdog commanders going to
pull this game out? Like the theme of the week

(37:39):
has been with the underdogs?

Speaker 1 (37:40):
You know, we don't.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
We don't have Todd on tonight, but it because of
the holiday weekend. But it was a big weekend for
underdogs everywhere, aren't he everywhere?

Speaker 6 (37:49):
It was one of the odds if you had bet
the dogs in the Thursday games to win, outright, you
got some pretty good odds on that.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
I mean it was. It was crazy. They were you
didn't want the points, you didn't need the points. They
were just pulling out victories, all right.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
So the game might be over on Sunday Night football.
We'll pick that up here in just a bit. Because
Marcus Mariota threw an interception, but it looked like the
Broncos absolutely interfered. Yeah, field, But I don't did they
say that the ball was tipped or not.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
I don't think it was. I think it was a penalty.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
No, they're gonna call pass interference. So Washington on fourth
down gets a new Now you've got to go for
two if you end up winning this, all right, So
back to the point. Game's still alive. Denver trying to
hold off Washington. Denver scoring on its first possession of overtime.
They lead it twenty seven to twenty. Washington, though, has
a fresh set of downs. What are they gonna mark

(38:46):
that right around the thirty eight yard line? Thirty so
thirty Thank you to say your thirty six yard line.
But you look up and down the league, I mean
even that, what was the spreading the Cowboys Chiefs game
with the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Favorites and a half?

Speaker 2 (39:00):
All right, so you had underdogs winning there.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
I mean the Bengals were a decisive underdog to the
to the Ravens, Green Bay was an underdog to Detroit.
So all the dogs won on Thursday, Arnie, Fridays might
have been a dog.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
On Saturday Sunday, including the Georgia Bulldogs. By the way,
I'm all the dogs won.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
I'm going through this. I got the Thursday game, we
got the Friday gain. Just go ahead, Arnie.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
Every underdog seemed like they won on the day, including
the Jets, including gosh, the Panthers, which is still the
most shocking thing I think of the day. The Texans
were a dog on the road in Indianapolis. So, I
mean you've seen a lot this week and from the
underdogs finding a way to get it done.

Speaker 6 (39:41):
Yeah, the dogs were barking this weekend before the well
last weekend, I said it.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Was the worst weekend in NFL.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
There were some bad games that were were set to
play and I wasn't I wasn't too excited about it.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
Well, we didn't really have a lot of great games.
I mean, this Sunday night football game has ended up
being a pretty good one. Maybe the game the day,
but I mean the Jets, Falcons, maybe your Dolphin, the
Dolphin Saints game with a recovered on sidekick, and the
Panthers Rams game. I mean, those are probably the most
exciting games of the day, right they were.

Speaker 6 (40:14):
The Dolphin one shouldn't have got to the point on
the on side kick, but yeah, when it got that
close and the Dolphins on an eleven point lead and
they almost let that slip.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
Boy touchdown Washington, Oh my god, do they go for
two holding take off the board?

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Goodness?

Speaker 2 (40:31):
A third down and four play with four minutes to go.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Marcus Mariota throws an absolute dart touchdown to McLaurin, but
a holding penalty, as de Seger just said, is gonna
wipe it off the board. Oh my goodness. Hour two
coming up next on Fox Sports Radio, rolling in hour
two with drama. We're in overtime on Sunday Night Football.

(40:58):
The Broncos have a one point lead. You heard the
saga and the update. Commanders went, what's up?

Speaker 2 (41:04):
Arnie?

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Commanders went down the field ignoring us?

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Were you ignoring everyone?

Speaker 1 (41:08):
During? Were ignoring anybody?

Speaker 2 (41:10):
They were having problems? They thought you were gone? They
thought you know I was here.

Speaker 5 (41:14):
Yeah, he was absolutely ignoring us.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
Exactly two point conversion. Here we go with two forty seven. Well,
who cares about the time in overtime, this is the ballgame.
Mario to deep drop lobs it batted away by Benito.
Ball game there going to survive.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
They had to go for two points.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
Nick freaking Benito. What a stud Sooner legend.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
Dude was a part of some of the uh more
challenged Oklahoma defenses and as soon as he gets to
the league he becomes one of the top pass rushers
and at ten and two right now, the inver Broncos
sit atop the AFC, I mean right there.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
With the Uh with the New England Patriots both at
ten and two.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
That's amazing, absolutely amazing.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
So much for like six of the eight divisions being
settled at the start of the season. You should be
fired for that.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Take what are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (42:09):
Whatever you said six of the eight divisions were decided
before the season started.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
I say, of those teams are first place right now.

Speaker 1 (42:16):
I think I had the Patriots winning the division.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
No, you did not.

Speaker 3 (42:19):
You hadn't finished the last No, you did not have
the Broncos winning their division. Yeah, the Eagles are in
a little bit of trouble now because hey, you need
to put some respect on the Cowboys too. They're starting
to turn things around now that they've got Quinn Williams.
And by the way, that play might have been wide
open for Washington and Benito doesn't bat that pass down

(42:39):
watching the replay, Dude, it leaked out in the open
in the flat, Nick, Benito, what a play. Broncos win.
But back to the point, the Cowboys have won three straight. Yep,
they I thought I thought the Thursday game was fantastic.
I haven't seen all the TV numbers yet. I'm sure
they're gonna be fantastic. But they go to Detroit another

(43:00):
stay game next week for the Cab the injuries all
over the place, and then they get ten days off
before they play the Vikings, who stink on Sunday night football.
So I don't know, Gee, you start, you get carried
away trying to look ahead, do your Dolphins schedule, And
I don't blame you for that, but holy smokes, Arnie,

(43:20):
the Cowboys might be in a position to wear that
game against the Chargers on December twenty first, four days
before Christmas. Man, that could be a team that's got
five straight wins and sitting I don't know, maybe at
eight and five eight five and one right now. Pretty
good run for the Cowboys to turn it around from
where they were.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
Well, las two games are at Washington and the Giants,
so almost see if those two teams wave the flag
by the time they get to those lust games. Otherwise
it could be a very prosperous run for them. When
it's all said and done, Washington's are sitting at Washington's.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
The Commanders are sitting right now, even with this loss tonight,
with the eighth pick in the draft, and you mentioned
the Giants. They're sitting with a third pick in the
draft right now, So I mean, don't look now or any.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
The Cowboys might be good. They they're playing some good
ball and they're looking real good.

Speaker 3 (44:16):
They fell behind fourteen zip to the Eagles too, and
I mean that was just a dogfight with the Chiefs
on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
That was fun.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
Man.

Speaker 6 (44:23):
What you.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
Catch what San Francisco is that? Is that the team, oh.

Speaker 3 (44:28):
You're looking, you're talking about in the wild card? I
think they can catch the Eagles in the division. Oh,
I mean they're only I mean the Eagles aren't The
Eagles are eight and four, they're they're six five and one.
They're technically only what would that be like a game
and a half back? That just kill Yeah, that was
pretty ridiculous. But I mean they're they're not only in
the mix for their division. But you brought up the

(44:49):
playoffs in the NFC. Yes, everybody's trying to chase the Niners,
who are nine and four right now.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
But yeah, they do.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
But the Packers of the other wild card at eight
three and one, they've got that other tie with the Cowboys.
But Dallas is gosh, I hate that tieing in the
mix a game and a half back of San Francisco
for that two the three back in the win column,
two back in the lost column. I don't think San
Francisco has had their bye yet this year, have they?
So you're looking at you're looking at a team that's

(45:22):
still very much alive.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
To Nine and three is the one seed. Nine and
four is the seventh seed, So not much a difference
than record wise, for sure?

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Are you are? Am I a fool? If I still
can't tell if the Bears are good or not?

Speaker 1 (45:35):
I think? I mean it's time to give up on
that narrative, isn't it? I mean, is it?

Speaker 3 (45:40):
They destroyed the Eagles on Friday? I mean, they just
made that game unwatchable. They just beat the snot out
of them. But yet it's almost as if I still
can't forgive them for some of their early season.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
There's the number one seed, though, I mean, I don't
know when's enough enough? Already? You know? Well, okay, are
you buying it on? And then I have to consider the.

Speaker 6 (46:00):
Way the Eagles are looking right now. And if you
told me to pick one between the Bears in Philadelphia,
I'm gonna.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
Go be don't even make it between the Bears in Philadelphia.
Who's Arnie Spanier's NFC favored to go.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
We're still the Rams. I'm still gonna stick with them.
But I would have the Bears a close second to
the Ram really a close second. Yeah, who else would
I be picking?

Speaker 2 (46:22):
I am the Seahawks look pretty good.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
They're gonna be on the They're gonna be on the road, though,
aren't they to start?

Speaker 2 (46:31):
The road Warriors?

Speaker 1 (46:32):
Aren't the road they have?

Speaker 2 (46:33):
I don't. I think they're only lost one road game
so far this year.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
And by the way, I mean your Bears are basically
one loss away from having to go on the road
for the playoffs too, right, the Packers, whom you had
number one in your power rankings only to watch them lose.
I think the next two weeks Packers are starting to
look a little bit better at eight three and one two.
So it's not it's not like anyone is running away
with it, like you see the Patriots and the Broncos,
who are two games clear. Of the teams that are

(46:59):
in third, are the teams that's the third seed in
the fifth seed right now?

Speaker 6 (47:03):
No, there'll be some good races for the final two
weeks out of the schedule in front of me. But
like you said, a lot of the divisional races. I mean,
look at Baltimore and Pittsburgh, We've been brought that up.
Those two teams play you what twice in the next
five weeks, and they're sitting both in six and six.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
What do you make of that Steelers game today? Bills
won a twenty six to seven.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
It was in Pittsburgh, and I mean Pittsburgh had the
halftime lead, but literally looks like they forgot to come
out in the second.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
Half right off the bat too, you know what I mean.
And I was watching that with my wife. I'm like,
the Bills could be in trouble. Here was seven to three,
and then it all fell apart. You could tell Aaron Rodgers,
I mean, that guy's hitting the end. He's hit the
wall for this season. It's just not happening in that team.
The Steelers just was fumbling and turning the ball over.

(47:54):
Give the Bills credit. That was a big win for them.
That hurt the Steelers though, big time.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
Yeah, Rogers finished just ten of twenty one, but it
was a game that was, I guess marred by some
weather issues. Josh Allen only threw for one hundred and
twenty three yards.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Now, he didn't put up big numbers at all this
this game at all.

Speaker 3 (48:12):
But but James Cook ran for one hundred and forty
plus the team averaged four point nine yards per caring.
Did the Bills get some of their swagger back today
or are they still in trouble?

Speaker 1 (48:24):
They're not in trouble. I mean, there's still an eight
and fourteen.

Speaker 6 (48:28):
Probably won't catch New England, But I wouldn't say their
trouble is still gonna go ahead and be a playoff team.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
I think, well, all right, let me rephrase that. Yeah,
because you've been trying to say they're in trouble all
year long, and so the wow to your stupid narrative.

Speaker 1 (48:43):
You're like, oh no, no, but isn't you know they
are the number seven seed right now? So I was
right from day one about them, is that let's go
ahead and disagree with me and then pat yourself on
the backside to do something that I had to save myself.

Speaker 5 (48:56):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
But no, the thing that's fascinating to me is I
don't think I would want anything to do with them,
even if they're coming to my place on the road
in the playoffs. Do you want anything to do with Buffalo?

Speaker 6 (49:07):
If you told me to take one team, and it
also odds friendly, Buffalo would probably be my number one.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
Team really that you would would you play? Who would
you take out of the AFC right now.

Speaker 3 (49:18):
That I'm going that is Denver? Bring Denver to my place.
I'll take them every day and twice on Sunday, I think.
I mean, they just barely squeaked out and eked out
a win over a Washington Commander team that is three
and nine.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
Oh no, no, no, okay, I misunderstood you. Then I'm like,
if you told me I could pick one team, I
was gonna go with Buffalo as my team.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
I'm like, that as your team that would be coming
to play you that you think you could beat?

Speaker 1 (49:45):
Was my No, that's my team that I'm picking to
come out of the AFC. Oh, still you're on buff Yeah?
Will you make up your mind on the bills.

Speaker 3 (49:52):
Then, I mean you sit here and you're like, see,
I told you guys, they've got problems, and you're like
they might end up.

Speaker 1 (49:57):
Going to the Well, it's more because I don't I
don't like any because Indianapolis has a quarterback that's hurt.
The Chargers got a quarterback that's hurt.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
Balt to bring yourself to believe it in New England.

Speaker 6 (50:08):
You know, when are we all going to find and
admit that Lamar Jackson's not the quarterback that won the MVP?

Speaker 1 (50:14):
All right? Enough is enough with the Lamar Jackson thing.

Speaker 6 (50:17):
Matter of fact, the two best quarterbacks in the AFC
maybe Trevor Lawrence and Drake Bay right now with the
way they're playing, everybody else is hurt.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
Well, Lamar Jackson did not play well on Thursday, But
I mean I'm not ready to bury him as someone
that stinks or anything like that like you are.

Speaker 6 (50:38):
And I mean, if you're enough is enough, Chris with
Lamar Jackson, Okay, somebody's got to take the play. Somebody's
got to take the blame for a six and six
year don't they right?

Speaker 3 (50:47):
I mean their defense has a lot to do with that.
They haven't necessary. I mean, they gave up thirty eight
to the Lions, they give up thirty seven to the Chiefs,
they give up forty four to de Texans.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
Is all that Lamar Jackson's fault?

Speaker 1 (50:58):
No, it's not all that but he's not Lamar Jackson
that we saw that was special in the beginning of
his career.

Speaker 3 (51:05):
Well, I mean most guys aren't whenever they enter like here, six,
seven or eight. But I mean this is also a
Ravens team that, for some reason everyone tries to bury
every week. They did not play well against the Bengals,
and they get the Bengals in two weeks, who now
have Joe Burrow back, look a little bit more promising,
but they might be in too deep of a hole
to make a run. But I mean, are you just
gonna sit here and say they have no chance next

(51:26):
week against the Steelers.

Speaker 6 (51:28):
The Ravens, no Pittsburgh. Ptsburgh's in worse situation than them.

Speaker 1 (51:34):
I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Here are a lot of people building up Lamar Jackson, though,
I mean, who are you fighting with on this?

Speaker 1 (51:39):
I think it was probably VJ on Thursday or Friday.
I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (51:42):
I don't remember you talking on that show, so I
don't know how you would with anyone on that program.
I'm still mad that you gave him that shift to
not me, But you got your favorites that you want
to play around here.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
You wanted to kick your feet up and not have
to do any work.

We got to the segment, and of course we'll kick
off the final hour with what we learned. But Arnie,
is there anyone I don't know which roman numeral this is?
I'm not gonna lie. I wasn't really in on the
roman numeral run down to it. Wow, I don't have
a lot of time for this one.

Speaker 5 (52:35):
Right.

Speaker 3 (52:36):
You always have on there who saved their season and
whose season came to an end. And obviously this fans
back to Thursday includes a game on Friday, and we
still have a Monday night football game coming up. But
can we say, looking back on Thursday that even though
they're still in the playoff mix, even though there they
might be able to squeak in. But did we essentially

(52:57):
see the end of the Lions this weekend?

Speaker 4 (53:00):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (53:00):
No, stop it you mean that's it?

Speaker 6 (53:03):
It's the season season, No, it is, it's it's certainly
that looking great and the injuries you do have to question,
And how long is Saint Brown gonna be out the
g what's.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
The latest dot him.

Speaker 6 (53:15):
I don't know how long he's going to be out
of it, if he's going to miss games, or how
many games he could miss.

Speaker 1 (53:20):
There's certainly not the Lions. Of all of them, who's
calling the the the plays. Campbell's calling the players.

Speaker 6 (53:27):
Remember when I said that offensive coordinators really don't mean
a whole like of a lot.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
That's right, That's right.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
You can go ahead and apologize for fighting.

Speaker 1 (53:34):
Well, that will just make an exception for the Lions.

Speaker 6 (53:36):
Okay, we'll just say that. Maybe it doesn't mean something
for the Detroit Lions, just just just.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
Maybe it's the only team in the league right that
it seems to mean something for you.

Speaker 6 (53:46):
But anyway, I don't think it's over for them, but
it is it is going to be tough. I totally
agree with you on that, All right.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (53:55):
I'm just saying you're not putting any one in that mix.

Speaker 6 (53:58):
I do want to I do want to say this
because we were doing our most disapporting team. I don't
think there as disappointing though, as people are making it
out to me, because I think injuries really really took
its toll. If you're gonna look at disupporting teams, then
you could look at Lanta or Baltimore. I think should
be ahead of them before you go ahead and pick
on them.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
So there you go.

Speaker 3 (54:18):
All right, listen, here, here's one other thing that I
want to add in there today from see people who
may have saved their season. And again, like I said,
it kind of spans back a little bit. I kind
of think that Jacksonville and again, they're not in any
trouble right now. They're eight and four football team.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
They they're good.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
Liam Cohen's been an outstanding higher But to destroy Tennessee
the way they did, yeah, oh bit deal.

Speaker 8 (54:43):
It is.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
You're right.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
It is a big deal because these are the kind
of games that when you're not necessarily a contender, you
sleep walk through like they did last week against Arizona.
Right they destroyed the Chargers. They beat them thirty five
to like six, and then they went to Arizona didn't
play all that well. Well, they bounced back today with
the Colts next week, and they beat the snot out

(55:05):
of a bad Tennessee team. I thought that was a
moment to me where Jacksonville and you're starting to see
the move they made to I mean, listen, I'm of
course everything sucks for me because I'm a Raiders fan
right now, but you you go out and you get
Kobe Myers and he's made an impact for them. It's
one of the more impactful trade deadline trades.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
Ronnie.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
I'm not necessarily saying save their season, but I felt
like the Jaguars showed me something after not necessarily playing
their best ball last week on the road against Arizona,
to go and destroy the Titans the way that they
did today.

Speaker 1 (55:35):
I remember five six weeks ago, I said, oh, watch
out for Jacksonville.

Speaker 6 (55:38):
They're gonna really make a run. After you yelled at
me and all that, they went four and one. They
won four of their last five, and it is a
favorable schedule. They're gonna get a Colts team. They played
the Colts twice. How many of those teams, by the way,
that they've beaten, have a winning record this year. No,
in the history of their franchise. Oh, I mean, I'm
not gonna go. But they beat the Titan a car. Yeah,

(56:01):
So it's not a great strength of victory, is what
you're telling me.

Speaker 3 (56:04):
I'm saying they beat the Raiders, they beat the Chargers,
the Cardinals and out the team.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
And what's interesting is they get the Colts twice with
a banged up quarterback, they get the Titans again, they
get the Jets, and they'll have the Broncos on the road.

Speaker 6 (56:15):
So out of their five remaining games, only one of
them they'll be an underdog, and that's gonna be with
the Colts on the road. So they'll they'll have it favorable.
They're gonna be okay, they're gonna be a team that's uh,
that's gonna make the playoffs and scare a lot of
other teams out there.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
They're gonna be in good shape.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
So what you're basically saying is you don't have anyone
who saved their season or who's seas.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
Oh yeah, no, no, yeah, no, no, no, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 6 (56:36):
Well you can always say, but my Dophins are in
the playoffs right now because they can't afford to lose.
So every game is a playoff weekend for that.

Speaker 2 (56:43):
That's one way to look at it.

Speaker 6 (56:44):
Yeah, they have to win. Uh, they have to win
every game from here on out and go ten and seven.
I told you that even things up at seven.

Speaker 1 (56:52):
You didn't believe me. He wrote us off.

Speaker 6 (56:54):
We didn't write down pack right, that's right. So they
saved their season, no doubt about that. And they lose today,
it would have been OvR for them, and then the
Saints would have went ahead and knocked them out. So
you could go ahead and say that the Dolphins pretty
much saved their season. But I don't think there was
two other too many other ones that saved their season
with a win today.

Speaker 1 (57:14):
You know.

Speaker 3 (57:14):
All right, when we come back, we'll hit the best
of ear reaction to the show. We'll hit your tweets
and X submissions with Arnie and Plank on Fox Sports Radio.
All right, it's Arnie and Plank here on Fox Sports Radio,
coming to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
No Todd tonight, Actually.

Speaker 6 (57:33):
We're gonna get a college rant from you about Lane
Kiffin and all the coaching moves and everybody's going crazy
and laying this and did you see the.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
Mob? Is that fair to say? Given the finger? Or
was that Ai? And I just felt for it. As
Lane was taking off in his private jet, did you
see that?

Speaker 4 (57:53):
Or what?

Speaker 1 (57:54):
You know? What?

Speaker 3 (57:55):
To be honest with you, it's all I've talked about
for two weeks, okay, three weeks, four weeks maybe maybe
a month since LSU and and Florida made their moves.
So it was it was a story where I felt
like I talked about it too much and I was
kind of burned out on it. And then all of

(58:15):
a sudden, today Auburn announces its coach, and then like
moments later, Florida announces its coach, and then moments later
Arkansas announces its coach, and then boom, Lane Kiff and
finally let Smarty Smith go home where he makes his
decision that he's gonna go to LSU. And I don't
know if there was a mob out there flipping off

(58:36):
his plane, but I don't know what the right move is,
right He's Lane Kiff is not a victim in any
of this. So don't boohoo for him. He made this choice.
And I don't have any problem with ole Miss saying,
hey man, we need you to make a decision.

Speaker 1 (58:50):
Right.

Speaker 2 (58:51):
We got a team.

Speaker 3 (58:51):
Ole Miss is really good, Arnie. Ole Miss is an
eleven and one football team. It's all lost this year
is to Georgia, and they're gonna light It'll be real
interesting you see on Tuesday Night with the committee does
But it's gonna be real interesting. They're gonna be a
tough out, right, They're gonna be a tough out in
the playoffs. They're gonna hide a playoff game.

Speaker 1 (59:09):
That they say you can't win a championship there one
if you're in the playoffs, and I know you forget
about even Tulane or North Texas or whoever. If you're
in the playoffs, you could win it. Okay, if you're
one of twelve teams in there and you can still
win it. What But I think Mississippi would look at Indiana,
you know, they're not one of the big blue bloods
out there, and look what Dave done. So look, I

(59:32):
wish Lane Kiff and the best. I think some people
kind of took it too far did you see that
reporter that called them what a hoe or something?

Speaker 2 (59:40):
That the reporter didn't call him a hoe?

Speaker 3 (59:42):
I mean, if the reporter was basically using a lyric
or it's saying and I don't know if this is
acceptable to say or not, but he basically said, you
can't turn a hoe new housewife, right, And that was
kind of like the whole analogy that he's not to
stay one place for a long time. But if I'm

(01:00:03):
Lane Kiffin, why even acknowledge that if you know you're gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
Leave right well? Because I think it's because he walked
right by him.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
You know, and he saw him out, dude. I mean,
come on, he and sought that dude out.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
What was on the field.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
So he went and sought him out. He could have
maybe he was you know, No, no, no, he went
and sought him out. I made a point to let
that guy know that he knew what he said and
he wasn't happy about it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
You don't have for people who say that I never
listened to what the media says. Anyway. By the way,
am I wrong on this when I say that Lane Kiffin,
I was just take to neutral fans. You're not a
Mississippi fan, you're not an SEC fan.

Speaker 6 (01:00:42):
I was rooting for him because I found a very
likable guy, likable coach. I wanted him to win in Mississippi.
Now at LSU, I want him to lose. Does that
make sense?

Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
For no?

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Does that make sense? Or that Chersey?

Speaker 6 (01:00:55):
But now I don't find the likable guy LSU. I
don't find the as a likable program like Mississippi who's
up and coming, and you know it is like the underdog.
LSU's you know, a blue blood. I was rooting for
Lane when he was in Mississippi, but I'm not going
to be rooting for him at LSU. Now, Kelly, I

(01:01:16):
didn't root for him in Notre David. I didn't root
for him at LSU. But Lane I rooted for in Mississippi.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
Very very unlikable, was Brian Kelly. I'll say this, I
don't know what the right thing to do is right.
I mean, we're talking about a Tulane team who's coach
John Sumrall. I mean you want to talk about you
you've got a chance. I mean John Somerral is leaving
to take the Florida job, right, But Tulane's really good
and they're probably going to the playoffs. They're probably gonna

(01:01:44):
win the American and go to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
Is this a calendar problem with some people?

Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
And that's what I'm getting to. The calendar is all
messed up in college football.

Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
I'm not excusing what anyone did, and I think everyone
but Lane Kiffin made the right move. I think Lane
could have won forever at all miss but I guess
he sees more dollar bills at LSU.

Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
And again, is that even possible? I thought that Mississippi
was a was told that they will match any other
offer from any other college.

Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
Am I wrong on that? Well?

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
I'm sure for him, I don't know if they would
have been able to match the NIL and the budget
that was going to be there for him for the
right and I think that's most that's more important than
most coaches right now, which is funny because I thought
we were in a world now where NIL is going
to be regulated, But I guess not.

Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
But I don't know. I don't know what the fix is.

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
I I don't like coaches getting fired during the season,
getting thirty million dollar buyouts and then everyone crying poor, right.
I mean that that was my biggest frustration with pens.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Thirty seven million or thirty one million for Stoops or
something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Is that official tonight that he is out? Or is
it just being I thought it was.

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
I could be wrong that NFE it's uh.

Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
Here it is They're expected to fire Mark Stoops. So yeah, man,
that's wild. Kentucky scheduled a team meeting for seven Why
are you making these dudes get up at seven am
tomorrow morning man seven am Central, eight am Eastern?

Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
According to my man, is it a thirty million buyout?

Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
Yeah, it's like Disager was all over it early.

Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
I think he's like thirty three for him, which is
he would be ohed seventy five percent of his remaining salary,
which actually is thirty seven point seven mill. And that's
within the top five buyouts of college football history, four
of which four of which came this year.

Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
I was going to say I could think about three
or four that were higher. I thought this year.

Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
Brian Kelly fifty four mil. Yeah, James Franklin forty nine mil.
Of course that was reduced when he got the vo
Tech job. And in Michigan State today fired Jonathan Smith.
His buyout was thirty three mil. That's where I was
getting convinced.

Speaker 6 (01:03:42):
Why Why was I hearing a rumor that the boorg
was being tied to the Penn State job?

Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
Because I think there's some juice to it. Really, Yeah, on.

Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
Who on ben State wishing or does he have a
tye or does he have a tie there that I
don't know?

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Why?

Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
Okay, then I would I would counter your question with
another question. Why in this time, when the portal opens
on January first or second, and roster retention is such
a key part of the next month, why would Penn
State not have hired to coach yet when they've had
since Week five of the season to basically line things up.

Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
I'm connecting dog is that is that because he wants
the coach Alabama in the.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
Playoffs maybe they're waiting. Well, maybe they're waiting.

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
But that puts their own program in a bad situation, though.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
Does it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:36):
I mean, if they do, they've got them. They if
they know they've got him, But I don't. Again, I
think you're crazy if you leave Alabama. I think you're insane.
If you leave Alabama, maybe you can't take the pressure.
But there's pressure at Benn State. So there was and
I don't know Kaitlin de Borr. I've never covered him.
I don't even I know one guy on their staff,
and it's the special teams guy, but I haven't talked

(01:04:57):
to him in two years.

Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
I have. I had several friends of mine who told
me that he's miserable there. Now I don't know him.

Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
I can't. I mean, I'm saying it on a national
radio show, so I want guilty. Don't tell.

Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Don't you guys tell anyone. But that seems to be
kind of the buzz around him, though. I think you're
crazy if you leave Alabama for Penn State. Maybe Penn
State's going to give the interim guy the job. Maybe
they're gonna get the guy James Madison. Those would be
two really good hires.

Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
Was it last year? He got off to the slow start.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
And he lost it to light They lost a Vanderbilt.

Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
Yeah, he was catching a lot of grief about it.

Speaker 6 (01:05:34):
I bet you something must have happened, and he always
remembered it, put it in the back of his mind,
even though he's having They lost to their opener in
Florida State this year and just said, I'm not going
to ever deal with something.

Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
Like this again. I'm gonna take something else if it
ever came about or something. I don't know. I'm just
I'm just, you know, spit firing here or whatever. Well,
I don't think you're wrong, but I I it's it's
not a better job. It's not a better job or
yeah no, and I'm damn great job though. I mean,
you'll you'll make It's not you'll go broker or anything
going there.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
You'll make the same amount of money, You'll have a
lot of resources.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Well, I don't think you're gonna leave to take less money.
I mean New Orleans, New Orleans, sorry, the Penn State
Nitney Lions are gonna pay you the same that, if
not more, to make you leave. You're not gonna take
a lateral move.

Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Let you're that miserable.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
But unless you are that miserable.

Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
But I'll say this much, I'll give kaylen to Bore
credit in what I've seen how he treats the fans
and how he treats the media.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
He's opened that program up.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
And I think that's a big deal to a lot
of people that cover that team and a lot of
people that support that team. Because Nick Saban won. But
Nick Saban did it in a rather, you know, kind
of confrontational way where he didn't he wasn't buddy buddy
with any one of the media, and you know, fans
were a part of the duty. And now you know,
you got a guy that's kind of opened up a
little bit, and you know they have their crazy fans

(01:06:54):
that come out to practice. So he's doing all the
things that run counter to what people are telling me
as well. You don't think he got like a phone call,
do you what kind of phone call?

Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
Get out of here?

Speaker 6 (01:07:03):
Yeah, just said, you know, I think it'd be in
your best interest to leave because some guy named Nick
said he'd be interested in the job and wants to return,
and I think people would rather have him than you.

Speaker 3 (01:07:17):
So I don't think Davin wants to get back in
this thing. I think he's loving life right now. I
think if Nick, I don't think he wants to get
back in the game.

Speaker 1 (01:07:25):
He's like, I think you would only get back in
the game if you can coach job.

Speaker 6 (01:07:28):
If there was an opening right now and and the
Borg left for Penn State, I would bet you Nick
Saban would go back to take the job for one
year or two.

Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
Well, I mean if you're gonna start putting all these
things that he's only gonna do it for a year
or two years.

Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
Well, well up there in age there, Chris.

Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
I mean, he's on college game day. Did you see
them celebrating his birthday? They brought a cake in to him.
He's got a blanket while he's sitting on a chair.
He look pretty happy to me, by the way, do
you buy real quick? And I noticed Seger is waiting
for an update, but Scott just hit us and I
was wanting to get all your tweets here. What We'll
keep pushing it back and eventually we'll get there. Scott writes,
Lane just made himself the most hated man in football.

(01:08:06):
Never seen a man so hell bit on burning every
bridge he's ever crossed. And I think that it was
Brett McMurphy that had the tweet today. He's not only
hell bit on burning the bridges and he crosses, he's
okay with burning it while he's standing on the bridge,
which is wild to me. With Lane Kiffin. You buy
what Scott's selling there?

Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
Yeah? Absolutely? You know I've seen it before.

Speaker 6 (01:08:27):
You know, the grass isn't always greener, And that comes
from a guy in myself that always was looking for jobs.

Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
Always, you know, we want to see where my next
job is coming from.

Speaker 6 (01:08:38):
Always think of the grass is greener at the next place,
and it never turns out that way.

Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
Yeah, you should have never left one on one sports,
that's what you're saying. All right, let's get you caught
up on all the news in the world of sports.
Here is Steve Desaga. What's going on Steve?

Speaker 4 (01:08:51):
The college football Pete Samill report ESPN was that Kentucky
is expected to fire coach Mark Stoops on Monday.

Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
I broke the story. Give me credit, Mike didn't know.

Speaker 4 (01:09:01):
Or not the university would oh Stoops thirty seven million
as a contract. Wow, now he made a bowl game
eight straight years, But then last year was four and eight,
and this year was five and seven, and yesterday lost
to the rival Louisville forty one nothing. And so one
of the questions to him right afterwards are you going
to step down? And his response, are you kidding me?

(01:09:22):
Zero percent? Chance? I walk away.

Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
So that's where that's not when they can fire me,
give me thirty seven mil?

Speaker 4 (01:09:29):
Why would you? Tonight, the Denver Broncos won their ninth
straight game and overtime win at Washington twenty seven to
twenty six. The Broncos winning streak is the longest by
this franchise in over a decade, and it's all been
these close games. It seems like they're this close to
being six and six this year. Instead, they're ten and
two and tied for the one seed in the AFC.

(01:09:51):
In fact, only one other team in the NFL's history
has done this to win four straight games same season
by three points or less each once it was Phil
Simms the New York Giants, not Kansas City nineteen eighty
six on the way to winning the Super Bowl Bill
Parcells Giants. So we can update the stat how many
NFL games have been decided by a score in the

(01:10:13):
last two minutes or overtime forty nine this year, and
that ties the record through a week thirteen in NFL
history That happened a decade ago as well. So out
of these roughly fifty games exciting to the end like this,
twenty five of them have been decided when the game
winning score is as time expires in the fourth quarter

(01:10:36):
or in overtime, such as we had ot tonight. Commanders
have now lost seven in a row The Jets won
on a fifty six yard field goal as time expired.
Nick Folk the hero. I don't know where he played, but.

Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Rody McGillis was.

Speaker 2 (01:10:52):
There.

Speaker 4 (01:10:52):
Yeah, yeah, there, yeah, go way right, I got it
mine my bad twenty seven to twenty four the final
Jets over Atlanta. The Jets were two and but they
scored ten.

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
That winning kick by him barely made it. Oh that
was There's no way he makes it that. I'm like, oh,
get on it even is that one bad? And it
went over somehow?

Speaker 4 (01:11:10):
I had no It seemed like the games today it
was either forty degrees or eighty degrees and nothing in between.
And that one just barely made it outdoors in New
Jersey ten points the last two minutes, by the way.
With New England hosting the Monday night game, temperature in
the twenties tomorrow. For that game, New England has won
nine straight. They'll be hosting Jackson Dart and the Giants,
who have lost six in a row. And can we

(01:11:32):
mention Bryce Young three touchdown passes and a win over
the Rams thirty one to twenty eight, ending the Rams
six game winning streak. That means this loss moved Chicago
at nine and three into the one seed in that
conference right now. Amazing to me that Bryce Young actually
has eleven career game winning drives already. That's the most
crazy in the league in the last couple of years

(01:11:54):
of any quarterback. Never would have guessed that, never, absolutely not.
And on third and fourth downs today, just on those downs,
eight of ten one hundred and sixty two yards and
his three tds were all on either third or fourth downs.
Chargers over the Raiders thirty one fourteen LA quarterback Justin
Herbert played through a broken left hand. He left surgery Monday.

(01:12:16):
The Raiders offense was just can I say god awful again?

Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
No, it fits.

Speaker 4 (01:12:21):
By the eighth drive today, they'd still only had six
first downs in the game.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
Your team is just future.

Speaker 4 (01:12:27):
Time of possession at one point was about thirty minutes
possession to fifteen in fact, to total yards at one
point was two ninety to ninety one yards for the Raiders.
They'd had about thirty plays for ninety one yards at
this point. And there is a pass rusher that the
Chargers have, not just Khalil Mack Tuley Tuoy Polow two,
who led the nation in sacks when he was at

(01:12:49):
USC today four tackles for loss, two sacks.

Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
He was everywhere.

Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
See it was at one point six tackles, which was
leading the team as well. Seattle shut out minutes, so
twenty six nothing. Bill's won at Pittsburgh twenty six to seven.
Road wins for Houston, San Francisco and Jacksonville. Home wins
for not only the Jets, but Tampa Bay and Miami,
which beat New Orleans twenty one seventeen. Dolphins had led

(01:13:15):
sixteen to nothing at the half. And for those unaware
of the coaching news, you reference, Yes, coach Lane Kiffin
left Ole miss for LSU and a seven year deal
worth about twelve million dollars per season. LSU's news conference
due to be Monday. Kiffin, in his six years with Mississippi,
was fifty five and nineteen old. MISSUS defensive coordinator Pete
Golding promoted to head coach. He's a former Alabama assistant.

(01:13:39):
Florida hired two lanes coach John Summerall who will stay
with his current team through any playoff. He's a former
player and assistant at Kentucky Michigan State fired coach Jonathan Smith.
He's due more than thirty million dollars. Spartan's reportedly targeting
Pat Fitzgerald, the former Northwestern I think that's a great
hire and it would be a big ten higher. Yeah,

(01:14:00):
they gave it a C plus.

Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
Somebody gave it. I'm like, what what are you talk?

Speaker 4 (01:14:03):
Yeah, they probably did the same when he first went
to Northwestern too. Yeah, he played in the Rose Bowl.
Northwest was in the Rose Bowl. Can I just say
that out loud? New Mexico gave coach Jason x Ac
an extension through twenty thirty. He tied for first in
the Mountain West, but as we said before, Boise State
and UNLV were picked to be in the conference title
game instead. Auburn's new coach Alex Golish from South Florida.

(01:14:26):
Auburn's had five straight losing seasons. They just finished one
in seven in the SEC at Arkansas's new coach is
Ryan Silverfield from Memphis. He beat Arkansas in September. He'd
been at Memphis for almost a decade, starting as an
assistant back to you.

Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
I think I used to work with Pat Fitzgerald. We're
at at one on one sports in Chicago.

Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
He an internship or something.

Speaker 7 (01:14:50):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:14:50):
After he graduated college he was selling You know, we
were a network and he was a salesman.

Speaker 4 (01:14:59):
Some sports Sait a minute, do you think you did
the guy who's been a coach in the Big ten
might have been selling ads for the Arnie Spanier Show.

Speaker 6 (01:15:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:15:08):
And I was giving him crap about it too. I remember,
I go, oh, you're a Northwestern guy. He should have studied.
You could have gone to Arizona. He I don't think
you liked it.

Speaker 5 (01:15:17):
No, Arnie, the only pat you're you've worked with is Patrick.

Speaker 4 (01:15:21):
That's me.

Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
No, I'm told you. I'm telling you the truth. Looking
up man.

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
He has joined the Maryland coaching staff after he graduated.

Speaker 1 (01:15:29):
Oh no, he came to work for us for six months. Okay, Well,
I'm telling you, right after college.

Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
You can You can't remember a story that you were
talking about.

Speaker 4 (01:15:38):
Are your producer's name current?

Speaker 6 (01:15:39):
Hey, I barely remember that I played three out three.
I bareably remembered I played three or three with Cal
Ripken Jr.

Speaker 1 (01:15:45):
So what do you want from me?

Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
All right, we got a break.

Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
When we come back to the Fox Sports Radio studios
will go more in depth on a Seger's update with
some news and tidbits from the NFL and that coaching carousel,
five jobs filled in the span of like three hours.
A crazy day in the coaching world for college football.
We're talking about it right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Mary mac digging deep in her Christmas bag here with

(01:16:07):
Arnie and Plank on Fox Sports Radio. Time for the
new segment, What's up, Steve Disager. We got a lot
of news notes and timmans to catch up on.

Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
And that might be music from the best Christmas special
of the moment.

Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
That's right, Charlie Brown.

Speaker 4 (01:16:18):
Absolutely, Denver won in overtime at Washington tonight. Buffalo is
eight and four after the win at Pittsburgh today. James
Cook thirty two carries one hundred and forty four yards
one fumble. Buffalo is a team almost two hundred and
fifty yards rushing, the most by any road team at
Pittsburgh since Buffalo had oj Simpson in nineteen seventy five.

Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
I know I saw that today. That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:16:41):
That is crazy. Josh Allen had a touchdown pass and
a touchdown rushing, so he has set the record for
his career regular season seventy six touchdowns on the ground
for Josh Allen. That passes the Cam Newton record for
most by a quarterback in NFL history, and already Allen
has over two hundred touchdown passes in his career, so

(01:17:03):
he's top five for at this point of your career.

Speaker 1 (01:17:06):
You need get traded to Miami.

Speaker 4 (01:17:09):
Yeah, I'm sure they're thinking that. Meanwhile, Justin Herbert in
his first six seasons is top five in a few lists,
including passing Dan Marino to be third on a list today.
Peyton Manning has the most passing yards your first six
seasons in the league, about twenty five thousand. Justin Herbert's
nearing twenty four thousand yards, passing Patrick Mahomes number two

(01:17:30):
on the list, Peyton Manning number one. I realize you
can't compare it to the older days where these kind
of passing numbers.

Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
Didn't exist, but it's a great start for that career.

Speaker 4 (01:17:41):
As for the college football, we will have four conference
title games on Friday night this week, including on Fox
TV in the Mountain West Championship UNLV at Boise State,
and then the Big League's on Saturday, starting with the
game at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium noon Eastern this Setaturday
for the Big twelve title, Texas Tech against BYU. After that, Georgia,

(01:18:05):
which just played in Atlanta, will be in Atlanta for
the SEC title game against Alabama. And Saturday night on
Fox TV the Big Ten Championship game number one Ohio
State against number two ranked Indiana, and it's in Indianapolis
eight pm Eastern time this Saturday night on Fox.

Speaker 1 (01:18:23):
I'm sure tickets will be cheap for that one or nuts.

Speaker 4 (01:18:25):
We're predicting that the winner of that game will go
to the Rose Bowl for their semifinal and the SEC
winner gets the Sugar Bowl for their quarter final. I
should say the New Year's quarterfinal games, Texas Tech could
be in a Cotton Bowl quarterfinal at the Cowboys Stadium,
and the way things have looked, maybe first round home

(01:18:46):
games on campus for Oklahoma, Ole, Miss, Oregon, Texas, A,
and m Now we shall see. As far as the
bowl projections, and again we're one week away from selection Sunday.
It's December on Monday, so we are almost there. San
Diego State to play in Boise in the Idaho Potato

(01:19:06):
Bowl is the projection. Hawaii is going to be Christmas
Eve on their own field in the Hawaii Bowl. Western
Michigan in Detroit against a Big ten team the day
after Christmas, Cincinnati at the bowl game in Phoenix against
a Big ten team Texas State, which as I recall,
is going to be a Pac twelve team starting next year.
Texas State in Dallas for their bowl game. Also Navy

(01:19:30):
in the Military Bowl, which is in in Annapolis, Minnesota
at the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. Also the bowl
projections have Houston playing in the Pop Tarts Bowl in Orlando,
Fresno State in Tucson at the Arizona Bowl, New Mexico
on its home field in Albuquerque for the New Mexico Bowl,

(01:19:52):
and either Tennessee or Vanderbilt in the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 (01:19:56):
I want to play them.

Speaker 4 (01:19:57):
And as far as far as Nebras to Nashville is
the projection to the Music City Bowl. Alamobule could have
by U against USC either Vanderbilt or Tennessee to Tampa
on New Year's Eve for a bowl game, and Michigan
Texas is possible for the Citrus Bowl Orlando.

Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
Oh, that'd be a good one too. Maybe Texas going
to get in the playoffs with those three losses.

Speaker 3 (01:20:21):
Sorry, all right, when we come back, listen, we have
not done a good well, Arnie has not gonna good
job get into all your text messages and your tweets
of the show.

Speaker 2 (01:20:31):
So we'll do it next and we'll find out what
we learned as we head down the home.

Speaker 3 (01:20:34):
Stretch of the college football season in the NFL season
with you right here on Fox Sports Radio. I can't
believe it's the final hour already, I know, and I
feel like it's funny because you brought up the coaching
stuff in college at the bottom of last hour, and
so I'm you know, I'm catching up reading a bunch

(01:20:56):
of things. A lot of reporters I like that are
writing their stories and their think pieces on it. And
I love the headline that Nicole r Back had in
her column. I love Nicole NBC. You can hear you
can hear her all over the place. She's outstanding. She said,
it didn't have to get so messy, It didn't need
to get this ugly. But Lane Kiffin is Lane Kiffin,

(01:21:16):
and apparently he hasn't changed much after all. I mean,
it's just already this is a mess.

Speaker 6 (01:21:21):
He's getting a lot of the grief there. He's the
bad guy, don't you. They're blaming him they're they're blaming
him number one.

Speaker 1 (01:21:27):
They're saying the calendar's number two, and then eventually then
then maybe LSU number three.

Speaker 6 (01:21:34):
Then they get blame old miss a number five. They
they're not blaming old miss at all. I think they
come out and looking like the good guy on.

Speaker 1 (01:21:41):
This whole thing.

Speaker 6 (01:21:41):
Well, which gets us right, But did he blame kind
of take shots at the athletic, not at the at
the present or the Yeah, the.

Speaker 3 (01:21:49):
Whole time it's it's almost as if they're laying out
that or he's laying out that. Well, they tried to
force a decision, and when they try to force a
decision on me, this is what I did.

Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
By the way, can I give you a good rumor?

Speaker 6 (01:22:01):
Did you see one of the rumors for who's going
to replace Mark Stoops at Kentucky?

Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
No, who's at somebody? You from one of your teams.

Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
Somebody police, Let it be Pete Carroll. Let it be
Pete Carroll Carroll who is a Chip Kelly. Yes, they
would not hire Chip Kelly.

Speaker 1 (01:22:21):
Pro Football Fourio's reporting that he said there's talk about
Kentucky players that the successors of Mark Stoops could be
former Raider offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. Who a well, I mean,
I've never seen Florio break a college football story in
my life, and I think you're a crazy person. If
you're a college and you go hire Chip Kelly. I

(01:22:43):
agree with you one hundred percent. I've just told you
it was on Pro Football Talk, So that that does
stund you there.

Speaker 4 (01:22:50):
First.

Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
Second, Yeah, word is circulating amongst Kentucky players.

Speaker 6 (01:22:55):
Yeah, that's from the players, and that, you know, that's
just that tells you where the source comes from.

Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
Usually they kind of know.

Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
I mean no, no, players don't know Jack.

Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
You know what, whenever it comes to college coaching searches,
they just know what they read on the internet. Uh,
this is this is the dumbest Mike Florial.

Speaker 1 (01:23:12):
I like you.

Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
I like you.

Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
I think you're very creative and you've built an empire.
But this is the worst worded report ever. Did you
actually read it? Yeah, no, you didn't read it verbatim.
The word is circulating amongst Kentucky players that Kelly could
be the team's next head coach.

Speaker 1 (01:23:32):
That doesn't mean he will be.

Speaker 3 (01:23:34):
It doesn't even mean he's an official candidate. It means
only that Kentucky players have somehow developed the impression that
Kelly could be the next head coach.

Speaker 1 (01:23:42):
Okay, I gotcha. I don't know why they would even
bring him up. Why are they calling Mike Florio? Hey man,
I'm running back?

Speaker 3 (01:23:52):
Oh gosh, what's a former Oklahoma running back that's a
uh that's at Kentucky right now.

Speaker 2 (01:23:56):
He's having a great season.

Speaker 3 (01:23:58):
I'm gonna call Mike Floria and tell him that we
think that Chip Kelly's going to be the guy. Kentucky's
hiring came like a day late, or firing came like
a day late, because I mean the guy that would
have been fantastic at that job was John SUMMRL, Because
I mean, here here is a dude in Sumroll who
is not only like a great coach, but he's a

(01:24:20):
Kentucky alum. And now he's got the Florida job. And
I think it's the best hiring of this off season
so far. What do you make of the lsu hiring
of Lane?

Speaker 1 (01:24:31):
You like it for Lsu? I absolutely love it.

Speaker 6 (01:24:35):
If Tom Lane, I don't think I would have taken
the job, because well, company coaches they fired in the
last what was it, six seven years, and look they
six seven six seven, and look look how they treated
their coaches on the way out and Bran and Kelly.
I didn't want to give him his money there for
a little bit. You know, you can't you can't disregard

(01:24:58):
something like that. I don't think I would have left
the vote, men, But maybe it's something he wanted, maybe
something to do with where he wanted to live and
didn't want to be in mississipill he lives in Florida, right,
So I don't know what his you know, thought process was.
But like I said, the grass isn't always greener, but
it was a great IYR for l s U and
for Mississippi.

Speaker 1 (01:25:18):
You know what, I think they're gonna be Okay, I
think dolla and the you keep calling.

Speaker 3 (01:25:22):
The Mississippi and it throws me off so much because
I only hears Ole miss Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:25:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
One are the last four head coaches at LSU all have.

Speaker 1 (01:25:31):
In common won a championship ding Ding Ding, Nick Saban,
Ojer Isles at Orgeron and Brian well before Brian Kelly
the last the last last three, excuse me, They all
won a national championship, and I mean Brian Kelly came
up short.

Speaker 3 (01:25:47):
He had two ten win seasons I mean that I
saw them sad. That was a good football team. Man,
they had some dude. You watched the draft, there's gonna
be LSU guys all over the place. You watch the
transfer portal, there's gonna be ls LSU dudes are getting paid.

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
A lot of money. They the fact that they stump
this year the wild to me, what happens.

Speaker 1 (01:26:05):
To the Mississippi or Ole miss Excuse me, You're not wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
It's just fun depending on how.

Speaker 1 (01:26:12):
Many coaches end up getting that got on that plane
with Lane Kiffin. I well, Pete Golden stayed. Now.

Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
I remember he's a defensive coordinator.

Speaker 3 (01:26:21):
Not only is he like interim, he was his coaches job, right,
He said, all the offensive guys are going with him.

Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
So now you got to find someone to call this offense.
I guess.

Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
I mean, I don't know who it is, but apparently
all the offensive coaches are going with him. Sore there
is that.

Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
I don't know this.

Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
I saw this tweet. We need to get to some
of these tweets of the show. But I thought this
was good from Vincent and it was the most recent
tweet to come in.

Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
He said.

Speaker 3 (01:26:48):
Since Lane Kiffin has decided to leave and coach LSU.
Now ole Miss has become America's school. Let's root for
them to win the national championship. Well, I can't quite
get on board with that yet. Maybe after the second round.

Speaker 6 (01:27:00):
They become more likable now from this whole thing, Like
I said, I like plane kiffing in Mississippi.

Speaker 1 (01:27:07):
Now he's like the enemy at LSU. Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
They already have updated the website. They've already updated the
website Ole Miss has because I was going to try
to go roll through the offensive coaches that are there,
and right now they they only have let's see Joe
Judges on this staff. Did you know that the former
Giants coach Joe Judges on this staff? Funny, I don't

(01:27:34):
even know who's gonna call place other.

Speaker 1 (01:27:37):
Somebody said us a tweet that said they have Old
Miss has a chance to do some of the funniest
thing ever. And there's a picture of Kelly and and
ole Miss Blazer.

Speaker 2 (01:27:48):
Brian Kelly coming over there they call their offense. That'd
be great. It's from Barstool. I will add this.

Speaker 3 (01:27:55):
I think Ole Miss is a great story, not just
because of Lane leaving out Pete Golding taking over. I
know you don't follow it that closely, Arnie, But are
you aware of Trinidad Chamberlets and their quarterback story?

Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
No, he played at Farris State last year.

Speaker 4 (01:28:09):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
They only found him because they were looking for a
backup quarterback. They were looking for an arm and they
scoured like the college football landscape in April, in after
spring football, and Trinidad Chambliss came in and he's he
was the best quarterback I saw in owen Field this year.
He was the best quarterback I saw in person. Dude's

(01:28:31):
a magician. And so you've got Trinidad Chambliss, which is
a great story. I think they've got a chance to
make a run. Fascin I know a lot of college
but this is a big story today. Fascinating to see
how the committee handles this on Tuesday, Arnie.

Speaker 6 (01:28:45):
I don't think that's fair, by the way, to take
away from a team just because their coach is leaving,
why they're not going to be there on the sideline,
because they still accomplish what they accomplished. You can't think
that away from them just because their coach will be
there on the sideline.

Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
Though, do you not think the coach had anything to
do with it.

Speaker 6 (01:29:01):
I think you had a lot to do with it also,
But still you're ranking them based on what they've accomplished,
not what you think they're going to do into the.

Speaker 1 (01:29:10):
In the playoffs, right, isn't that the way it works? Well,
what happened when you're you're being right?

Speaker 6 (01:29:16):
There's a reason somebody's number one because they have the
best record or the best they think they're the number
one team. They're not getting number one because they think
they're gonna go ahead and.

Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
Win the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
You know, for say you are ranked on your schedule
and your results. Yes, but there is So this shouldn't
even be a conversation. You don't know they talk about it.
They shouldn't talk about the fact that their head coach
is not going to be there when they're in the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (01:29:42):
No, actually, I can understand that maybe if like the
starting quarterback or the star and the any state, Yeah,
then I can understand something.

Speaker 1 (01:29:50):
Like that happening. But your coach, no, not at all.
You're you know, it's still fought on the football field,
and you're having all the players there, not the coach.
That's all.

Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
So it shouldn't have Let's say Nick Saban left Alabama
right before the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:30:04):
I don't think I don't think you should punish Alabama
for that. I think he should say absolutely, and it's
Lane Kiffin's offense. If Mississippi thought they were gonna get
punished for this, don't you think they would have let
Lane Kiffin coached the team.

Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
No, not at all. I think that they were tired
of this.

Speaker 3 (01:30:22):
I don't think they're gonna get punished, but I do
think it's gonna be a big conversation. But I think
that they realized how good this team is, right, and
they're tired of the BS. The problem is he took
all the offensive coaches with him, and it's his offense
and he's the star of it. You can have, you
can have his right hand man that might be staying
around for a little bit. But from what we've read

(01:30:42):
and everything we've seen, I mean, the theory was, you
gotta be on this plane now or you're not coming
with me.

Speaker 1 (01:30:47):
Can I just say before you're leaving it on the plane?

Speaker 8 (01:30:49):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:30:50):
A few plays down on the snap bit for me? Well,
just like.

Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
Corner four of them, they've been running the plays all
year long, so they.

Speaker 1 (01:30:56):
Don't know it right.

Speaker 6 (01:30:57):
But you know I always said this, don't most and
I'll say in the NFL artier, really everybody running the
same plays for the most part. There's nothing new, Like, hey,
I never saw that play before, right done, that's a
new one. Most of them are recycled anyway, with just
a few out of the wrinkles.

Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
Yes, that makes it a new play if there's added
wrinkles to it, if it's a formation, if it's the slot,
if it's which which guy's running the girl, which guys running?

Speaker 6 (01:31:25):
This point is I could call the offensive plays. I mean,
come on, they're all the same thing. You've already screen left.

Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
You're already you're wrong on that because of Dan Campbell,
you've already had admit you're wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:31:36):
Coordinators and coaches make a difference.

Speaker 1 (01:31:38):
Can I get to these tweets now? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:31:40):
Yeah, yea, yeah, go ahead, all right, it's stinking genius one.
I'm in playing show. Everyone go follow us at Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (01:31:47):
G mang.

Speaker 3 (01:31:48):
Any college football coach who bails the way they do
is showing straight up narcissistic behavior.

Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
Don't preach family.

Speaker 3 (01:31:56):
And loyalty all year to spread out the door the
second the bigger check waves at you, that's not leadership,
that's ego on legs.

Speaker 6 (01:32:04):
Okay, let's back that up a little bit because, like
you said, though, or I said, I thought it was
a reported that Ole Miss was going to match any
they were, so it's nothing about then it's not ego
or again, it.

Speaker 3 (01:32:18):
Was about ego and money because they offered him more
money for the roster. We had this conversation last night, right.

Speaker 1 (01:32:23):
But there's a but he's the tweet said you're taking
more money to run.

Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
He's not nice technically taking more money to run. He's
got more money to.

Speaker 1 (01:32:31):
Build his roster, to build a roster, but not not
himself personally.

Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
But that's part of it.

Speaker 3 (01:32:36):
I mean, that's part of the whole money thing. I mean,
he's probably getting more money from LSU. Old Miss can
say they're gonna match it, but Scott Boris is gonna fire.
Not Scott Boris, who's just Jimmy Jimmy Saxon, thank you,
Jimmy Sex is gonna get more money out of LSU. Absolutely,
they can say they're gonna match it, but then whenever
it comes down to it, if you don't have that
like laid out in front of you, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:32:57):
I think Jimmy Sixon used to call me when he
first got in the agent business, when he was in
Memphis or something like that. Eric Rights, you know you
just kind of shrug over that that's a pretty big deal.

Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
Well, I mean again, who are you, Mike Florio in
your reporting?

Speaker 1 (01:33:15):
I think, yeah, I think he did. I think you
know he used to listening.

Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
I think I would remember if Jimmy said.

Speaker 1 (01:33:22):
He wasn't a big deal back then, he wasn't a
big deal.

Speaker 2 (01:33:25):
I mean, but he still was an agent that had
a lot of clients back he did.

Speaker 1 (01:33:29):
He got me a couple of player As a matter
of fact, there was an old running back from Memphis
that he got.

Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
You just do not like people getting their tweets right
on the show, dude.

Speaker 4 (01:33:38):
No I do.

Speaker 6 (01:33:38):
But who was the like star running back from Memphis
that he got me on once? I don't remember who
you're telling this story?

Speaker 1 (01:33:45):
Not?

Speaker 3 (01:33:46):
Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, Eric Rights, Artie, you
actually thought Kiffin was a good guy. I disliked him
for years. By the way, I fell in not quite
love with Joe Burrow on Thursday. His answer to why
are you coming back? Just made me like him more.

Speaker 1 (01:34:02):
Trade Jefferson to Cincy JJ deserves better. I didn't think
if it was a good guy. He just said he
was more likable what he's with Mississippi. Now that he's
with LSU, I'm not gonna be rooting for him. I
don't find him likable at all.

Speaker 3 (01:34:17):
Colin asks, like the best question in this whole conversation.
Why would a coach at any level spend years of
time and effort with a team or school on their program,
be on the verge of getting to the highest point
of their career, and then quit to go to another
organization for the same salary to start all over again.

Speaker 1 (01:34:38):
It's not about money. Let's say that out.

Speaker 6 (01:34:39):
I mean, really, if you can't say it's about money,
if it's a difference between like one million dollars or
something to that.

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
I wish I could have that kind of fight.

Speaker 3 (01:34:48):
Because LSU is perceived as a place where you're always
going to have all the resources you need.

Speaker 1 (01:34:53):
Colin, That's why it's I would like to say it's
like the Cowboys, but Brian Schottenheimer got that.

Speaker 6 (01:35:00):
You know who, dude, you know who disagrees with that.
Who's at what's his name from Indiana? Kurt Kurt Signetti
signetti he signed that. He didn't say I can't win
it in the AD, I don't have the resources, So
I'm gonna go ahead and go something it's bigger, he says,
I do have the resources.

Speaker 1 (01:35:15):
I can win here.

Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:35:17):
Uh well, and again he's on year two and they're
the number two team in the country. Right now, do
you think you made a mistake by staying in the No,
I mean at all.

Speaker 2 (01:35:24):
They might win the championship. I mean, they're that good.

Speaker 6 (01:35:29):
My point is if they can win old Mis can win,
not so much this year, but on any given year.

Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
Then Ole Miss could win the championship this year. Right,
They're that good. And I'm shocked that he would bail
on the team right now.

Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Shocked.

Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
Am I surprised that he took the l s U job. Now,
I'm shocked at the timing of all of this and
people trying to defend Lank Kiffin is blowing my mind
right now.

Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
Yeah, because an LSU fans. If I was an LSU fan,
I'd fight for him like crazy.

Speaker 6 (01:35:57):
He looks real bad in this whole thing, you know
what I mean, He's terrible, terribly. He should have done
it a completely. He wanted his KD and he died too.
He wanted to be able to coach Old Miss in
the playoffs and still go to LSU.

Speaker 3 (01:36:10):
Yeah, mister nobody, all right, he gets us back to
the NFL, he writes. Given how wide open the AFC
is right now, who's to say this isn't the year
that Buffalo goes to the Super Bowl? Casey isn't going
to make it. I'm still not sold on New England
or Denver. Okay, I'll listen to Denver because of their defense,
but who else. The shine's already off on Indy. Yeah,

(01:36:30):
the AFC is pretty wide open right now.

Speaker 6 (01:36:32):
It is your dose well with the Colts with a
quarterback problem injury, Chargers of a quarterback injury.

Speaker 1 (01:36:40):
Right now, Ravens are just a five hundred. I mean
the Patriots and Drake May and Denver right now, the
two top teams. It really is wide open right now.

Speaker 3 (01:36:51):
I think, And it's it's crazy to think the Raiders
beat the New England Patriots. I still can't believe that.
But I I guess what I don't get more than
anything else, and why I can't quit on the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (01:37:04):
I should?

Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
I want to. I've never wanted to be I've never
wanted to be more wrong in my life, but I'm
came ahead of Miami one game and and Miami was
one in six.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
And two games out of the playoffs right now. But
for some reason, I just I can't quit them. I
can't put myself to believe that they're done. And they're
six and six, and they looked very mediocre on Thursday.
I mean, the Cowboys kind of kept them in that game.
They looked beatable. But here's the Chiefs are six and six.
Here's their remaining schedule. They've got the Texans, We'll see

(01:37:41):
if Justin Herbert's having the procedure tomorrow, will see if
he misses any time. Then they go to Tennessee and
they got the Broncos before they wrap things up against
the Raiders in what will be a game that they
they're gonna have to play everyone. So I'm not I mean,
they could put together win for their last five games
and end up like ten and seven, and that might
be enough in the AFC.

Speaker 1 (01:38:01):
Right who's more hated right now? Chiefs are of the
Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (01:38:05):
I still think the Chiefs are. I think people are
are really reveling in how poor they look, and they should.
That's an arrogant, cocky bunch, and I would be too
if I were him. Two more quick tried to warn
you about that, but go ahead. Well, I'm not giving up.
I want you to be right. I want you to
be right more than I've ever wanted you to be
right about anything in my life.

Speaker 2 (01:38:25):
I just don't know if you are.

Speaker 3 (01:38:27):
Tennis data writes breaking Max Brosmer has signed a lucrative
contract with Southwest to revive the Way to Get Away
ad campaign.

Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
Boy the Vikings.

Speaker 1 (01:38:36):
Holy smoke, wow, I asked, where is this guy from?

Speaker 2 (01:38:40):
You had to dig up. He's Minnesota guy, University of Minnesota.
That's right. I think he played some D two football too,
maybe before he transferred him in.

Speaker 6 (01:38:49):
Somebody put up the quarterback rankings for the last two
games from Minnesota and said that if you would have
just spiked the ball at every snap, you would have
a higher quarterback ranking.

Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
Dude went nineteen of thirty with four interceptions, including the
worst interception I think we've ever seen. He was also
sacked four times and at a QB rating of five five,
which is usually rather you know, meaty numbers in like
the forties or fifties.

Speaker 2 (01:39:19):
His QB rating was five.

Speaker 1 (01:39:20):
You may want to thug into another career after this.

Speaker 2 (01:39:23):
That's what tennis dad is talking about. You want to
get away.

Speaker 3 (01:39:27):
By the way, the in their last two games, the
Vikings have been outscored forty nine to six. That's forty
nine to six. So much for the so much for
the offensive genius and the great JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 1 (01:39:42):
I mean, my good, what are they gonna do now?
Now they're gonna get another quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:39:45):
Now you have to you absolutely have to shout out
to our buddy overnight Joe praying for your wife as
she battles cancer. But he adds big wins today by
teams that needed them to stay in the playoff hunt
Houstonami Carolina and the Bills.

Speaker 1 (01:40:02):
You know what, that's a good point.

Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
You know we've talked about underdogs, but your Dolphins needed
to win every week. Every weekend's a playoff matchup for
them because they're trying to resurrect their season. Houston is
you know, they beat Buffalo at last Thursday, and you
know they're starting to kind of get a little traction
towards that seventh seed or their division. Now that the
Colts look beatable and it's kind of crazy to say this,

(01:40:26):
but the bills can't slip.

Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
Up anymore down the road.

Speaker 1 (01:40:29):
So he's right, man. You saw a lot of teams
that needed wins get him today. Yeah yeah, And just
one clarification was go ahead because because you've read that tweet,
my wife does not have cancer. I know you kind
of read that one of our listener's wife is going
through a.

Speaker 3 (01:40:45):
Oh overnight Joe. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. Make
that's okay.

Speaker 6 (01:40:49):
And I wrote back, and we all wish him the best,
that our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
So we want to just go ahead and say that
he wrote us in, told us about that, and yeah,
right here, overnight, Joe wife made our third round of chemo.

Speaker 1 (01:41:03):
Keep her in your prayers, twenty five years married. I
wrote something back, and absolutely we have her in our
in our prayers, no doubt. A.

Speaker 3 (01:41:10):
It didn't realize I made that confusing. So we'll get
a quick break. We are way late. Steve Sager is
coming up around the corner, plus what we learned after
this week in the NFL. Next on Fox Sports Radio.
All right, stinking genius, let's go. It'sarn even playing here
on Fox Sports Radio. Make sure you subscribe to the
Fox Sports Radio YouTube channel to search Fox Sports Radio

Speaker 2 (01:41:33):
And it'll stop there. Hit that thumbs up icon and
common away.

Speaker 3 (01:41:37):
Let us know whose takes you like and who's you don't.
Search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube and subscribe, all right.
We'll usually start the final hour with this, got a
little carried away on the coaching caresel. But after week
thirteen of the NFL, with one game remaining Giants Patriots,
I know this.

Speaker 2 (01:41:53):
Where do you want to start on?

Speaker 1 (01:41:54):
I'll start with this. After a week thirteen, I know this.

Speaker 6 (01:41:58):
There's nobody that is the clear favorite in the NFL
to win the Super Bowl or even go to the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:42:04):
Both both conferences are just so wide open.

Speaker 6 (01:42:07):
Like we said, Denver, New England in the top two
seeds in the AFC pairs in the RAMS. If I
ask twenty sports fans who's the number one seed in
the NFC, I don't think half of them. We'd get
the Chicago Bears, and I certainly could put a bunch
of poke, a bunch of holes in their game too.

Speaker 1 (01:42:26):
And the Rams.

Speaker 6 (01:42:27):
I still think are the best team in the NFC
and Philadelphia you want to talk about a team you
could punch holes in. There's just nobody else left other
than the Rams and the Bears. So the Rams are
the queer favorite. I like the Bears, but everybody else
like in Poke Hall. So many holes and it's absolutely crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:42:45):
Even though even though they got me today by the
Panthers and Matt Stafford was not Matt Stafford, you're still buying.

Speaker 1 (01:42:51):
I am still I mean otherwise, who are you you
getna buy Philadelphia? You buy Tampa?

Speaker 2 (01:42:56):
Well, can I throw a team at you?

Speaker 1 (01:42:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:42:59):
After we thirteen?

Speaker 8 (01:43:00):
And I know this.

Speaker 3 (01:43:00):
You need to put some respect on the Seahawks. I
mean they haven't done that. Winning games twenty six is zip.
I think part of it is because the producer that
you don't know is a Seahawks fan.

Speaker 1 (01:43:10):
Yeah, I think that's something to do with it. And
I get it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
The Vikings stink, but this defense is pretty pretty legit
from for Seattle. And I think they fumbled the ball
three times today they tried to give it away to him.
I think they only lost two of them. But between
Devin Witherspoon, what Byron Murphy has become. Ernest Jones has
been outstanding, DeMarcus Lawrence is having a season. They Leonard

(01:43:35):
Williams is a Seahawks for goodness, sakes a top ten
pick in the NFL draft not too long ago. I
think they're really good, Arnie, And after a week fourteen,
I'm putting some respect on their name.

Speaker 1 (01:43:43):
All right, after week fourteen, I'll tell you this.

Speaker 2 (01:43:46):
Thirteen. Sorry, sorry, sorry, I'm not going to.

Speaker 6 (01:43:48):
Put any respect on their name. I come on, I
don't know, not Seattle. I'm going with San Francisco, is
what I was about to say. Look, they beat Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (01:43:59):
They beat the snap out of them.

Speaker 1 (01:44:00):
They big deal, big deal.

Speaker 4 (01:44:03):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:44:04):
I got a good juicy rumor somebody I forget who
reported as saying that the Jets were willing to give
up a first round pick for mac Jones. Is that possible?
I mean that that's kind of crazy, isn't it? When
it it's all said none, But do you not no
one's giving up a first round pick for mac Jones.
I thought that was crazy too. I like, who the
hell's going to do that?

Speaker 2 (01:44:25):
Unless it GM wants to get fired?

Speaker 1 (01:44:27):
Are their teams are going to be interested in picking
up mac Jones, though I would imagine.

Speaker 2 (01:44:31):
I'm sure they are, but not as not for a
first round pick.

Speaker 1 (01:44:35):
If you were mac Jones, would you want to be
the starting quarterback of the of the Jets?

Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
I yead want to be a starting quarterback. I thought
they were supposed to be going after Tyler Murray. I
thought that was the Jets guy.

Speaker 1 (01:44:47):
That could be a possibility. Also, I wonder what Murray
is going to uh head up if he's not gonna
end up with the Jets.

Speaker 3 (01:44:53):
Well, I mean, it's become pretty obvious that. I mean,
it wasn't the most amazing a change in going with
you Brusette. It's not like Cardinals have reeled off a
bunch of wins in a row. But you'd have to
think his time in Arizona is done, right, absolutely done?
All right, I got one more here after week thirteen.

Speaker 1 (01:45:10):
I know this.

Speaker 2 (01:45:10):
The Broncos just to keep finding a way.

Speaker 3 (01:45:13):
They remind me a lot of my Sooners to where
it's never really pretty offensively, but their defense can shut
you down. And listen, it was a backup quarterback. Washington
probably didn't have any business being in that game. But
if I'm putting respect on Seattle, at nine to three.
Right now, I better pause for a moment and make
sure I tip my cap to the team that's probably

(01:45:34):
gonna win the AFC West, and that's the Never Broncos.
Not only are they not only are they good, they're
ten and two, but they're good in their division. They've
got a solid point differential and they won ninth straight.
So this was a one and two football team that's
reeled off.

Speaker 2 (01:45:49):
Nine in a row.

Speaker 1 (01:45:50):
Amazing, amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:45:52):
They're on track to be the top seed in the AFC,
depending on what happens with New englandmorrow night. But yeah,
I just I can't believe how good they are.

Speaker 1 (01:45:59):
I can't say that Sean Payton doesn't get enough credit,
does he. He's done a great job.

Speaker 3 (01:46:03):
It's not a great job, outstanding job or right, anything
else you want to add before we bring it to Sager.

Speaker 1 (01:46:09):
No, I've been brought this up before.

Speaker 6 (01:46:10):
I got into it with VJ about how Lamar Jackson
just that his game not even nearly the same and
something's going on with him.

Speaker 1 (01:46:19):
I don't think it's an injury. I just just think
he's gone backwards. It's just it's just does it look
like the old Lamar Jackson that we know, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:46:28):
Right, Steve Sager is in the house with everything that's
trending for one final time tonight with up Steve.

Speaker 4 (01:46:32):
He does not look the same. And my assumption is
multiple injuries and no, it's kind of it's reminding me
of the end of Cam Newton's career where he didn't run.
He wasn't special anymore. Temporarily, Lamar Jackson is not special anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:46:47):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:46:47):
You mentioned earlier in the show about the San Francisco
forty nine ers haven't had their bye week yet. No
team had to buy this week for the holiday. San
Francisco will next week. Carolina's on a bye next week.
Carolina ended the Rams six game winning streak thirty one
to twenty eight. Bryce Young, who's from Los Angeles, had
three touchdown passes, the game winning forty three yard TD

(01:47:08):
to Tenorog McMillan from Arizona. I guess and that was
his only reception. Came with about six nights. Matthew Stafford
two touchdown passes to DeVante Adams, but three turnovers, including
a pick six. Also, Stafford fumbled when they were in
field goal range with about two and a half minutes left.
This loss moved Chicago nine and three into the one seed.

(01:47:31):
San Francisco's nine and four, just behind the Rams twenty
six to eighth. The final at Cleveland and San Francisco
was down eight seven late first half. Browns quarterback Shuduor
Sanders one hundred and forty nine yards, passing one touchdown,
no interceptions. He will get a third straight start next Sunday.
Cleveland defensive end Miles Garrett with another sack. He's up
to nineteen so far this season. And we will have

(01:47:53):
two other teams on a bye next weekend. The two
teams who are playing Tomorrow night, it's going to be
the Giants, losers of six straight, two and ten playing
at New England, winners of nine straights ten and two,
temperature in the twenties. For that one, Giants have yet
to win a road game this year. Quarterback Jackson Dart
will be starting Monday after missing a missing time with
a concussion. There's another team that's won nine straight and

(01:48:16):
is ten and two in the AFC. It's Denver after
tonight an overtime winner at Washington twenty seven to twenty six.
Here with the new rules, each team gets a possession,
so a rare thing so far. We had each team
score a touchdown in overtime. That had only happened once
before the Vegas game that they lost to Jacksonville and
that ended out a miss two point try. Here, Washington's

(01:48:37):
two point pass at the end was knocked down. Commanders
had tied it with two field goals in the fourth quarter.
Tight End zach Ertz was having a great night ten
catches one hundred and six yards, but dropped a pass
in the end zone in overtime. Commanders have lost seven straight.
They're three and nine. Seattle over Minnesota twenty six nothing.
Seattle star wide receiver Jackson Smith and Jigba had only

(01:48:57):
two catches twenty three yards. He had been over seventy
five yards receiving in every game this year. That was
a first through eleven games. Seven total turnovers in this one.
Minnesota shut out for the first time since two thousand
and seven. Justin Jefferson had two catches for four yards.
Five turnovers for the Vikings ten penalties as well. They're

(01:49:18):
four to eight. Buffalo won at Pittsburgh twenty six to seven.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the Steelers returned from the broken
left wrist. The offense had ten drives, ten first downs
James Cook and the win thirty two carries one hundred
and forty four yards rushing. Chargers beat the Raiders thirty
one to fourteen. Quarterback of La Justin Herbert played through
a broken left hand. He'll have surgery on Monday. Chargers

(01:49:40):
are now four to zero in the Division after opening
the season with wins against Kansas City then the Raiders,
than Denver. Chargers are seven and two in conference play.
As for Houston, a win at Indianapolis twenty to ten.
Texans now four to one in division games. They're only
a game back of Indy and Jacksonville. Daniel Jones did
have two touchdowns passes in this home loss. Colts had

(01:50:02):
been undefeated at home. Tampa Bay beat Arizona twenty to seventeen.
Cards missed a forty three yard field goal attempt in
the third quarter. I got to mention the update on
Trey McBride because he did it again. He's had at
least five catches in fourteen straight games, the record for
a tight end fifteen straight doing that. Travis Kelcey, this

(01:50:23):
is this is this is not just one catch per game.
He had eight catches eighty two yards and a late TD.

Speaker 1 (01:50:29):
He knows what the catch a catch a game was
what Carold Carmichael.

Speaker 4 (01:50:33):
Was for many years for Philly. He had that. Yes,
Tennessee's offense, Well, if you've seen the Raiders, you've sent
teen Tennessee. I'll leave it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:40):
Yes, so bad has a future quarterback?

Speaker 4 (01:50:44):
I think Smith, We think eleven drives, eleven first downs
for the Titans. They lost at home twenty five to
three to Jacksonville. Tennessee's lost seven straight one and eleven,
worst offense in the league, averaging fifteen points. Again, they
were averaging under two hundred fifty total yards a game.
They had under one ninety in this one. Miami beat

(01:51:06):
New Orleans twenty one seventeen Saints are two to ten.
They did score with just over a minute left, but
the tying two point e who lost I wasn't coming
in today. Wow, we're all so sorry about that. They
intercepted and run back for two points the other way.
So twenty one, game seventeen, it did save the game.
College football Selection Sunday is a week from today, December seventh.

(01:51:28):
For what it's worth, Texas A and m fell to
number seven in the new AP Pole. This Saturday night,
number one Ohio State against number two Indiana for the
Big Ten title in Indianapolis, and Yes, coach Langkiff and
left Old Miss for LSU.

Speaker 1 (01:51:40):
NBA.

Speaker 4 (01:51:41):
Oklahoma City won its twelfth game in a row. Atlanta
won in double overtime at Philadelphia. Lakers won their seventh
straight one college basketball game. Number twenty Texas Tech beat
Wyoming seventy six seventy two, and the women's number one
Yukon when it's Big East opener, one oh four thirty
nine here Savior on its home court. Ten baskets, thirty

(01:52:04):
one turnovers.

Speaker 1 (01:52:05):
There, yeah go.

Speaker 4 (01:52:07):
Number three UCLA beat Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (01:52:09):
Back to you, Thanks Steve. That's Steve Seger awesome updates
all night long. Let me cut more tweets here because
there is I was. I'm now caught up on mock drafts.
I've got to stop. It's freaking December. The playoffs are
coming out Way Football. I gotta stop, Darryl. Darryl writes,

(01:52:29):
when is Lane Kiffin supposed to take the job at
l U. If it isn't, now not coaching this team,
the playoffs sucks. I'm sure he'd like to. LSU wouldn't
allow it, though, No way they would. He needs to
get started on the transfer portal because the NCAA dope
e rules. Shout like an LSU fan, Darryl. No, he's wrong,
He's not wrong. But it's just I mean, think about this.

(01:52:51):
I mean, any any sport, a coach that is going
to the playoffs with a team just left that team.
I mean, you bring up you bring up Bill Frieder
a lot from that michig team, right he left for
the Arizona State.

Speaker 2 (01:53:02):
Job back in the eighties. I mean, it just it
doesn't make a lot of sense.

Speaker 3 (01:53:05):
Man. It's it's hard to allow that to like resonate
in my mind, Arnie that he left when the playoffs
start on the nineteenth, so it is left on December one.

Speaker 1 (01:53:16):
It is a calendar problem. He would have loved to
finish sure with Mississippi and then going on to the
LSU after that.

Speaker 3 (01:53:23):
Colin's on fire tonight, he writes. Give the Bears a
ton of credit. They have great in season momentum going on.
The Next step for them is how they'll respond when
they eventually lose. I'm just hoping that loss comes against
the Packers next Sunday.

Speaker 1 (01:53:36):
Every everybody that was ripping. Caleb Williams, I kind of
did that, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:53:41):
I was already say are you talking to yourself here? A?

Speaker 6 (01:53:44):
I mean, we were getting out of big time and
even when it was usc we were getting remember they
were getting out about crying and then the fingernails. I mean,
what does this guy has been through so much and
putting up great numbers.

Speaker 1 (01:53:59):
Now he's just doing a great job.

Speaker 2 (01:54:00):
Did I tell you that I met tiger Man in
Utah this weekend?

Speaker 1 (01:54:04):
No, you did not tell me.

Speaker 3 (01:54:05):
I met tiger Man in Utah, who, by the way,
it was one of the coolest moments. I'm like, hey, so,
what's your name? He goes, you can just call me
tiger Man.

Speaker 1 (01:54:12):
So I don't know if he's CIA or what, but
very very clandestine and tiger Man in Utah who apparently
lives in southern Missouri, which again that that is wild.
Great dude, big fan came up and said, hey, Now,
unfortunately for him, his team lost, but it was it
was really cool to meet tiger Man in Utah.

Speaker 3 (01:54:30):
He loves him some Arnie Spaniard, that's for sure. Mister
Nobody writes, you knew this one was coming tonight. I
told you this team was that your father's Kansas City team.
Well can't I told you a long time. Nobody Kansas
City sucked when my dad was watching them. Okay, they
just got good over.

Speaker 1 (01:54:47):
The last really constener ud commands.

Speaker 2 (01:54:51):
They were terrible.

Speaker 3 (01:54:52):
They may not make the playoffs because the Texans had
a have a good defense and a good enough defense
to win Arrowhead. If they do make the playoffs, they
won't go anywhere. Hey, listen, I want to not make
it than anything.

Speaker 1 (01:55:03):
I warned you about that. You laughed at me and
it was It's ugly now and they're not.

Speaker 3 (01:55:09):
I want you to be right more than anything. I
just don't think you all are going to be. And
then one more here from Brendon. Having watched the condensed
replay of the Vegas Chargers game, I know this good.

Speaker 2 (01:55:20):
The offense looked better than last week bad. The offense
has a long way to go ugly.

Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
Except for Neil downs and incompletions, they only made seven
negative plays on defense.

Speaker 6 (01:55:31):
I'm curious about two big things for the Raiders. Who
their coach is going to be next year, who their
quarterback is going to be next year. And the third
thing is who's going to decide who the quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:55:44):
Of the coach is going to be for next year?
That's what I want.

Speaker 3 (01:55:46):
Oh, you got to give John Spytech. You got to
allow your GM to at least try to put together
a roster.

Speaker 1 (01:55:51):
I don't know I've met. My whole thing is that
maybe Tom Brady's gonna have a say in this thing.

Speaker 3 (01:55:56):
Well, I maybe so, but I mean not all former
players have been good at putting teams together.

Speaker 6 (01:56:03):
No, I understand, But I mean Tom Brady's a little
bit different. How so he's the best of all time.

Speaker 3 (01:56:10):
He is no Jim Plunkett. All right, we got a break,
We got a break. When we come back, it's Arnie's
picks to take us home. On Fox Sports Radio, Great
job tonight, Patrick, great job, Mary Macmister Buddy Todd froman
but we'll catch up with him next week. De Sager
crushing it as always on updates and the millions and
millions of editors behind the scenes who bring us all

(01:56:33):
the great highlights and postgame sound Raiders officially eliminated from
the playoffs today.

Speaker 1 (01:56:40):
That's too bad.

Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
Just a sad, sad day all right, stinking genius taken away.
What do you have for your picks?

Speaker 1 (01:56:46):
My picks were red hot this weekend. This weekend, well
done College five and two, NFL seven.

Speaker 2 (01:56:54):
And three, seven and three got Brian Kelly fired.

Speaker 6 (01:57:01):
Yeah me though it gets a pat on the back.
Twelve and five overall not too shabby, all right? Two
picks in the NFL. Will go with the game tomorrow night.
Give me the Giants plus the seven on the road
against New England. The small number year they're begging you
to take the Patriots. Giants have been very competitive. I'll
take the points in this one and give me Dallas
plus the three Thursday night on the road at Detroit.

Speaker 1 (01:57:25):
Look at you buying into the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
Just chinst them.

Speaker 6 (01:57:28):
That's my team, right, You know I'm a Cowboy fan.
Let's get over to college and we got a lot
of championships coming up.

Speaker 1 (01:57:37):
Now, you know what I like? I like this North
Texas team, I really do. I would have laid the
two and a half against Toulamee, but I would love
to see North Texas play one of the big boys.
They have a good offense.

Speaker 2 (01:57:51):
Did they got smoked by Texas Tech?

Speaker 1 (01:57:54):
What was the score?

Speaker 2 (01:57:55):
I think he's like sixty six to thirty.

Speaker 1 (01:57:58):
That's not bad.

Speaker 4 (01:58:01):
Okay, that's not bad.

Speaker 2 (01:58:03):
That's terrible.

Speaker 6 (01:58:04):
I like BYU plus thirteen and a half against Texas Tech.
Too many points there, Give me Alabama plus the two
and a half against Georgia. I like Indiana plus the
five and a half against Ohio State, and I think
Indiana wins that game. And I'm gonna take Virginia minus

(01:58:26):
the two and a half against Duke. So there you
have my picks two with them as your please, no
longer strictly for entertainment purposes, only.

Speaker 1 (01:58:34):
In fairness, in fairness to North Texas.

Speaker 3 (01:58:37):
Yeah, that Texas Tech game was last year and it
was sixty six twenty one. Yeah, but the game this year.
The game this year was South Florida that beat him
sixty three thirty six.

Speaker 1 (01:58:49):
Okay, still not bad. So you like their quarterback, I
like it. I just like everything about that. They scored
so many points. Their coach is leaving too. Yeah. I
saw that, and I saw that that's a problem.

Speaker 3 (01:59:01):
Drew Messmaker probably going with him as well to Oklahoma State.
I think Oklahoma State man heck of a hire. Eric
Morris is gonna be a rock star. Okay, a couple
of quick tweets here before we get out, Happy for life,
seven rights. The Chiefs and Texans will make the playoffs.
The Chargers and Colts will not. This schedule is everything
scheduled is important. There's gonna be a lot of great
games last five weeks of the season. There's a lot

(01:59:25):
of implications, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (01:59:26):
Yeah, you know what.

Speaker 3 (01:59:27):
I'm pretty I'm willing to bet that everyone in the
National Football League is fired up for next week's Raiders
Broncos games.

Speaker 1 (01:59:35):
Oh yeah, that's a big game.

Speaker 3 (01:59:36):
I mean, people got to be fired up about that.
And then there was one more I wanted to fit
in here before we got out. And this is a
good question. Vincent was on fire tonight. How come no
one is talking about the huge comeback by the forty
nine Ers against the greatest rookie quarterback of all time
in Hall of Famer Schador Sanders. They ended the Browns
winning streak. Guys, Yeah, they were down eight seven, but

(02:00:00):
they went for two. They got it because why, I
don't know, if their kicker was hurt, if the wind
was that bad. I was watching it on red Zone
and then the next time I saw they were down
by like three scores, so good point, Vincent.

Speaker 1 (02:00:14):
But you're not big on San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (02:00:16):
No, trying to sell them.

Speaker 1 (02:00:17):
Yeah, I'm trying to sell I'm not big on them
at all.

Speaker 3 (02:00:20):
We'll see what happens, all right, Well you all have
a great Yes, Big Bin Mallari is coming up and
actually got any fillings you want to promote this week?

Speaker 2 (02:00:27):
No, never one but me.

Speaker 1 (02:00:28):
Just Sunday, just Sunday.

Speaker 3 (02:00:30):
We'll see you back here next Sunday night. Make you
