to see it does kind of tend to trend a

if there was someone that had an update on this
thing tonight, I would be all. I mean, we wouldn't
be able to talk about anything else outside of the

I'm getting old right now. There's a lot of things

those celebrities who always seem to be in some sort
of state of I don't ill repute maybe is one term,
always finding themselves in trouble, but I don't. I don't
know why. Man. Maybe it's because you're right, I do

know these people. This is in my field. I think
that for a lot of us in this field, we
automatically turn turn and say, oh, I know a situation
like that, or I remember a situation like this, And
it's not always you know, trying to say it was
a female reporter. I mean, I'm not trying to point
a finger and say that, because that's a button issue

in all of this. Just can't get enough of him. Man,
the coach that went to the Super Bowl Mike Vrabel
went to the Super Bowl for goodness sakes, apparently was guys,
I'm trying to think of like friendly ways to put this.
Are we in the safe harbor? Yet whenever it comes
to my FCC test, I think we're in the safe harbor?
Are okay? Well, I'm gonna be careful. I'm not gonna

it's just I guess he was shacking up with an
NFL reporter and all of a sudden, you're like, huh, well,
let's start dig it into the past and see what
New England stories she has or Mike vrabel stories that
she has, and damn there were them. So this is

my open plea for acceptance tonight, as I find myself
enamored with the story that seems to be involving a
lot of different moving parts right now, I don't want
Diana Rasini to lose her I don't think the NFL
has to I don't think the NFL has to worry

about any sanctions against Mike Rabel. Two consenting adults got caught,
and I hate it for their husbands and their wives.
It's embarrassing, it's bad for their kids. It's bad for
their whole family right now. But I mean, even even

public and the talking heads are upset about how stories

the table here with this, I'm not going to spend

this is this is one of the biggest things going

in the middle of what is a very rare slow
time for the NFL because none of us want to
talk about the DOJ investigation into the TV deals for
the NFL, And in fact, I'm very excited to get
my Roman numeral rundown from Arnie tomorrow night and him

having something about the DOJ story and then asking is
it a big deal? What's going on? Like, no one
wants to talk about that. I mean, even honestly, as
a draft nerd, I don't necessarily know if this is
one of the most exciting drafts that we've ever had.
I have found and my team picks number one, but

I have found the draft conversations to be so underwhelming
and everybody he's doing with the NFL Draft the same
thing that we do year in and year out. Man, go
back to the NFL Draft this time last year. Where
were we in mid early April as we were leading
up to the NFL Draft. You know where we were
talking about how great that quarterback class of twenty twenty

six is going to be. You know what we're in
the middle of doing right now in the NFL Draft,
talking about how great that quarterback class of twenty twenty
seven is gonna be. I mean, imagine, imagine for a
moment that you could go back in time three hundred
and sixty five days and tell everyone, Yeah, all these
quarterbacks that you're talking about are going to be can't

missus in the upcoming draft. Are all either going back
to college or gonna have miserable senior season so nobody's
gonna want to draft him. And oh yeah, the dude
that transferred from cal to Indiana is going to be
the hands down number one pick, And the guy who
hasn't started a game for Alabama is going to be
the dude that everybody's talking about as potentially being the

second quarterback in the draft. In fact, he's going to
be the second quarterback in the draft. There's not In
my opinion, there's not a I guess you could say
more polarizing topic than trying to get into who the

where the number two quarterback in this draft should go.
But that's it, you know. I don't think the general
public likes to debate edge rushers. I don't think they
care about who's the number one or number two cornerback
in this draft. I think everybody cares about the quarterback position.
And this this, my friends, is not the kind of
draft to get people fired up about the quarterback position.

And I find myself to be right in that group
that falls in line with what everyone else is saying.
There is a very large gap between one and two,
a very large gap between for Nando Mendoza and Ty Simpson,
and there might be an even larger gap between Ty

Simpson and whoever is that third quarterback right now. If
it's Louke Altemar, if it's Drew Aller, if it's Kid Klubnick.
By the way, I'm also old enough to remember that
NFL draft nerds were telling us leading into the college
football playoffs in twenty twenty well, last year, twenty twenty four, No,
twenty twenty five, excus yeah, no, twenty twenty four. How

everyone was saying, Oh, Drew Haller, if he comes out, man,
he might. He might end up being one of the
top quarterbacks off the board. Now, the guy's gonna be
lucky to be a third day pick. So there's not
a lot of quarterback buzz going on. You know, the
NBA is tapped out on the final couple weeks of
its season. Baseball is still in its infancy. I mean,

I've got apparently a Chimpanzee civil war that we need
to talk about. We do have a few NFL storylines,
but for the most part, there's just not a lot
of big headline grabbing stuff. We haven't had a major
trade in the NFL draft, So that's why I think
you see this kind of percolate and float towards the top.

Float might be a good word of the sports topic world,
but I'm fascinated with it. I don't get all the
pearl clutching. I feel terrible for everyone involved, but yet
here I am spending ten minutes on my show tonight

but I love the old transactions page where you would

and that's not always what wins in sports today. So
to me, you're gonna have an ethics thing when it

You know, it's we're really gonna try. The athletic is
gonna clutch its pearls on this. I'm sure there's some
big J capitol J journals out there right now that
are very upset about me dismissing this, But I mean

mean the major issue is how in the world has
become major issue? Help me understand this, because I can't
get enough of it now. Some have pushed back rather
I guess you could say strictly on me here tonight,
and I'll be the first one to admit it might
be it might be warranted. In fact, the early returns

a certain extent, are David writes, Copodar playing his last
regular season game at home for the Kings is a
more relevant story than anything about a hack coach and

I like the Kings. They're the NHL team that I
follow as much as I used to my hometown Blues.

different people that I just I look at it and
I think you're trying to paint Diana in a bad position.

divorcing her wife divorcing him? Where are we at right now?
What's going on? I mean, the next shoe to drop
in all of this? Where are we what'd you think
of the conspiracy theory? I saw this today that apparently
her husband's a big Eagles fan and he would always
be mad at her for how she reported on the Eagles.

And someone thinks this is a big conspiracy that's all
centered around him getting back at her because of how
she covered the Eagles, which I think would be just
the most sports fan thing ever. But I don't know
if I would want to implode my marriage over that.
I mean, I'd rather be probably blissfully and wilfully ignorant
about it than to try to say you reported poorly

on the Raiders. By the way, speaking of that, speaking
of that coming up in our number three, speaking of
the Athletic, you want to get mad at Diana Rassini,
how about this dude that wrote the article that was
supposed to be some sort of eye opening, jaw dropping

the pantsying of John Gruden for how terrible of a
coach he was during his time with the Raiders. The
second time around, I've I don't want to get anyone mad,
and I don't even know who wrote the story, but
as someone who's now read it twice and lived that
whole era as a fan who watched every single game, buddy,

it's like you just copy and pasted every story that's
ever been written about the Green Narraw whenever he was there.
And I get all the Athletic emails, Why are you
sending an email that's trying to make this out to
be something that it's not. There's no new details in
this story. It's the same ignorance that we knew was

unboxing things. I mean, yeah, he's probably not gonna be

start essentially that we've seen through thirty six holes. His
six shot lead was the hard the hardest, was the
largest thirty six hole lead in the history of the

And I think it's even funnier when you listen to
how Roy McElroy talks about it. Now, I would probably
be so mad. I'd be throwing things, I'd be breaking things,
I'd be angry. Roy McElroy's, you know, seems like he's

want to watch that, but I don't. I don't know
if that's how consumerism works anymore. I don't know if like, hey,
this is great, we all need to be watching this.
I have no idea, but we saw TV ratings in
college basketball go up. Is this the kind of storyline
and draw that golf needs? Because I love playing golf.

I love being outside and being around golf. I'm not
a big sit at home and watch it love. I
like to go. And if I live in Oklahoma, we
got to. We got one course it hosts several PGA events,
and Southern Hills and Tulsa. We got course in Oklahoma
City that'll host some senior events or college events everywhere.
I like going out and walking and watching, but I'm

not gonna sit at home and watch it. But I
will admit for someone who's been somewhat adamant against spending
a lot of time invested in this golf because I
don't have my Tiger. I don't have my Phil for
the first time since nineteen ninety four, No Tiger Woods,
no Phil Mickelson. Is this the kind of story that
can draw people in? Like again, I I guess I was.

Everyone acted like this was their best friend. Last year
when Rory McElroy won the Masters, you acted like he
was amazing. We even made it sound somewhat sympathetic that, oh,
look at what Rory's doing. He's taking his kids to school,
and then he flies a private jet to a gust

this something for the non golf fans that you find
