Speaker 1 (00:34):
Now we're live from your tailgate. Here's Brian no Hire,
NFL Betteran, Jeff Schwartz, and Professional Sports better Bill crack Krackenberger.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
Oh, good morning everybody, Happy Week fourteen. As we get
you all set for a loaded day of NFL action.
As always, though we uh we dip both feet, I
would say into the college football here, Crack, I feel
like we should just we just put our feet up
and let Jeff just get some college football thoughts off
(01:08):
of his mind over here. You know Oregon number one,
they get it done. Yeah, it's Penn State last night.
Look at it. He's all deck. They look at this,
this guy like the letterman's jacket on.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
I got my throwback, my throwback a little pull over here.
It's a little small for me, but it works well
on the on the radio, and it looks so crisp
in the morning. I've been saving this a little bit,
this take. I'm gonna give you guys. Good morning, by
the way, everyone more happy, Happy Sunday. Collegeable playoff rankings
(01:38):
will be revealed at noon today. I imagine we will
cover that at some point in the show. I know
it's a NFL heavy show, but that's very important as
of right now. All right, the teams with the best
outsoin of the championship are Oregon about plus three twenty,
Georgia's next just above organ and then Ohio State plus
four hundred, so basically Oregon, Orge, Ohio State all couple
(02:01):
of the top. Okay, there's a situation, a scenario that's
very likely in this cultural will playoff. We're in the
corner finals. Two of the three favorites to win the championship,
Brian and Crack, will face each other in the corner finals.
Seems like a bad system, right, You probably don't want
a system where two of your three favorites to win
(02:21):
the championship are playing non the semi finals, which makes sense. Right,
four teams left. Three of the top four are there,
but the corner finals eight teams left. A system where
two teams that have already played each other by the
way might play each other again. Bad system. It's a
bad system. And look, Poise State, it is great what
they've done. The bye. Jeez, I don't know, man, I
(02:47):
don't know. It feels difficult to justify that. I understand. Look,
I understand the argument that we won all the games
we had to win. But it's why it's New Mexico.
It's Nevada. Like, it does matter who you play. It
doesn't matter who you play. And I know Clemson didn't
(03:12):
have the best season, but they also just beat SMU.
They have other wins against ranked teams, but to my knowledge, boys,
the States, the only ranked win was Friday against you
and LV, right, Brian, So like it just feels hard
to say, like, you know, we really have to have
a system moving forward, guys, where the four best teams
just get a bye. The auto thing is done, because
(03:33):
then Brian, your Irish would have a bye, Organ would
have it. Probably it probably would be if we do
four best teams right now, it probably would be Oregon Georgia, Nowaday,
Ohio State. Those are the four that would get a bye,
as my guess, and that feels like a better system
than the one we have now.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Yeah, guys, it seems like the big question is you
know what this I really didn't think it would be
this difficult until about two weeks ago and started thinking
about the scenarios and stuff, and as we know, Clemson
in Arizona State got their wins automatic bigs bids. But
now the big question of course, like Jeff just said,
you know SMU, SMU or Alabama. Actually SMU probably deserves
(04:15):
to get in, but I wouldn't be surprised if the
committee chooses Alabama that right. I mean, at bad twenty
four to three loss two weeks ago against Oklahoma should
keep Alabama out, but you never know, you never know.
Currently SMU is like minus three thirty to make it
coming back on Maamaz around two forty. So it's interesting
you see odds on everything though.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
I'm I tried to arb, guys. I tried my really
my first time ever doing a big one. Okay, So
the idea heading into last night because Ward Manual, he's
a Michigan almost a general manager Michigan Athletic director set
after the CFP reveal on Tuesday night that essentially, if
SMU loses, they're out and Alabama would would would would
(04:56):
take their spot. So I did it. I did SMU
money law for this game minus one thirty five for
last night, and then a no plus three hundred for playoffs.
So you know, I would win money either way all
right now. Hostally, I'd win less if the money line hits.
I would more if they don't make the playoffs. Now
I'm gonna get squeezed. I feel like where I lost
(05:19):
the money line. They're gonna make the playoff, I think.
So I did a little bit of creative, like I
took a parlay with the minus three hundred this morning
and some NFL number just to sort of make some
money if they do make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
Crack.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
I need Eagles to win hopefully today it's a thirteen
point favorites, but you know it does. I actually ran
into I don't think the Panthers feel very comfortable they're
winning this game today, so I feel good about about
Philly's chances today. Nonetheless, I never I don't do this
very often. I think you are stuff, Crack, every now
and then, and I feel with I feel good, this
(05:55):
was a good feels a great situation to do it,
and I think, ask him, he's gonna make it. It's really
done SEU Alabama, and where the seating is gonna end
up being a Notre Dame of five seed? Is someone
this and that, Brian, I did see this morning that
in the two models that people four models that are
used for like formulas and sort of BCS rankings and whatnot,
(06:19):
two of the four Sagrin and Coley have Notre Dame
one and Notre Dame two, and it would be playing
in the old and they'd be playing basically playing organ
in like in the old school like BCS system.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Yeah, that's that. It doesn't make any sense to me
that Notre Dame's not eligible for a first round by.
I think that's just stupid. My argument the whole time
has been they made it to the playoff twice when
it was just four teams, but now they are they're
ineligible for a first round by. They can't be one
of the four teams that gets a buy. That makes
no sense to me. Whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
I think conference, I think auto bids will be a
thing of the past. I just I can't. I don't
know how you justify that system moving forward, Brian right well.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
And the other thing though, is it really does come
down to SMU or Bama. Who do you put in?
Who do you think the Committee will put in? Because
that was about as bad as it could be for
Alabama last night? Or SMU has this dramatic comeback, They're
down by seventeen points, they scratch and claw, they tie
the game up. Clemson wins on a dramatic late, you know,
(07:24):
last second walk off long field goal, and now it
becomes how do you keep SMU out? The Committee doesn't
want to penalize a team that was in its conference
championship game like SMU was, but I would argue, you
got to look at the entire resume, not just getting
to a conference championship game.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
I think the committee and I thought they were gonna
put Bama in for sure, like no doubt about it.
But the way it went down last night, I would
not be surprised if Bama was on the outside looking in.
What do you guys say.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
They The Committee has said they will not punish teams
for lose their conference championship game. I thought they thought.
I thought they believed that they would get smoked last night.
I thought they thought SMU would get smoked, and so
did I. To be honest, I thought there was a
possibility that that was gonna happen. Credit SMU. I mean
they battle their butts off, right, they had battle back
(08:22):
and whatnot. And but yeah, I think Alabama was out.
You lose to six and six Oklahoma, you lose to
Savandy on the road, I think you're out.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
And I love Brian. I love the playoff has been
around since what twenty fourteen, because I was Oregon's twenty
fourteen right, So they're with eleven seasons now, ten seasons now,
and I just love these SEC guys that, like the
one year Brian and Crack they don't get a favorable
(08:54):
Playoff seating. It's like the system is broken. Like the
one time they don't gay they benefit of the doubts.
System is broken. I gotta fix the whole thing. I'll
screw you guys. Okay, the West Coast guy's no dame guy.
At the one time, we're not arguing about whether Georgia
or Texas is in right, Brian, to me, a three
loss SEC team. That's right, that's arguing about. We're arguing
(09:16):
about Georgia. Texas has not been a team that won
a games this season.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Wow, guys, you know, I was at the dinner last time.
Usually don't go out to dinner Saturday nights. They have
to get up so early here in Vegas. But I
was at the dinner with some friends over at Caesars
and they were sweating the game. They had Penn State
in the game. They were sweating the game on their
phone and they had the guy had a pretty big
bet on Penn State. Actually, was was that game closer
(09:43):
than I'm thinking or not really? Because it looked like
to me though, Oregan. Yeah, when I when I left,
looked looked like it was just it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
I mean, Penn State, God within four points. I think
that was about it, right, Brian, I mean it was.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
But towards the end of the game, they had an interception,
Like I didn't.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
It was an eight point game. The Pensate was driving
to basically tie it up and through a batter reception
which look Oregon gave a three on yards rushing not great,
but they pens they couldn't complete the pass. I mean,
like that was they just can't get behind. They can
they're very well schemed up if they're like sort of
on schedule. But we got to pass the ball, I
mean hour through. The first interception was with four yards
behind the wide receiver, I mean our corner, just like
(10:21):
the ball just fell into his hands. I wasn't he
wasn't even trying to make the catch. So you know, yes,
they were. It was Orgon led the whole game. Put
it like that.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
When I left the house, it looked like Oregon kind
of they were up at like fourteen, so they looked
like they had it pretty handily. I just didn't know.
Of course, fourteen is not always you know, anything guaranteed.
But then of course the gambling gods want to make
it a game there and towards the end of the game,
and that would have been a bad beat then for
anyone that had Oregon, because so they went for the
(10:53):
it was an eight point game, and you know, instead
of a set, they was up by fourteen, they they
went for two to make an eight point games. That's correct.
And then and then uh, you know, at the end
of the game, if they don't get the two point conversion,
whatever it may be, that that's a a bad beat,
I guess for anyone there. But however, the guys at
dinner very I was with a really sharp mathematical guy
(11:15):
winning sports better and uh he was he was actually
mad they went for the two so early. It was
early in the fourth quarter, I guess, and he was mad.
He's like, no, you can't do this now, you know
it's a third quarter, a third quarter.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Yeah, So interesting though that teams go for the two
in college in the third quarter. That's something like the
pro guys do a lot. I just it's the same scenario.
I take it.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
So it makes it right because when you go so
we we always talk about when it doesn't work. By
the way, so when you're down fourteen points, you score
a touchdown late later in the game, there's an option
you can go for two. If you go for two,
now you're down six if you convert, and the next
touchdown wins you the game. Where if you if you missed,
you're down eight. And most often two point of versions
(12:01):
are about fifty to fifty, so if you miss one,
the second one you think you're gonna hit. So Maryland
this year did this. Maryland was down fourteen to USC,
scored a touchdown, went for two, got it score a
touchdown later, and won by one point twenty nine, twenty eight.
So we don't talk about that game because it was
on Big ten network and had Maryland money line. I'm
paying attention to it the one time when it doesn't work,
(12:24):
it does work the promise. Penn State ran the Philly Special.
The plate's nine years old.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Like, and Warren didn't even throw it in the end zone.
He was just like, oh, it's covered. I guess I'll
just get tackled. Well, we're ready for it. You areame
skyhook it in the ends, give yourself a gence to something.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
But like there was no one opened. I mean, you
ran a play, you had just run for one hundred
yards on the drive. Just run the ball again right
in an Oregon Why would you not run it right
at us? We You couldn't defend the run all game.
So I mean, that's that's a Penn State problem. This
is not by the way that James Franklin lost, like
I think that you know, let's not. I know his
record against top five isn't good. This doesn't feel like
(13:01):
a game where he got out coached.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Right, well, the whole thing, like, you're down by two touchdowns,
you score a touchdown, you go for two, the whole
scenario Jeff laid out for you. I don't know, man,
it's great if it works, but can you imagine if
Penn State they have this, They're down by eight because
they missed the two a little bit earlier in the game,
so they're chasing that. They score a touchdown, they're down
(13:24):
by two. It's traumatic. Here they come and they missed
a two point conversion again, and that's how they lose.
Like it's great when it works, it's not great when
you're chasing that conversion that you missed earlier in the game.
So it would have been really interesting to see if
Penn State would have converted the two had they scored
a touchdown. But again, I don't know why. It just
(13:46):
stick with you talk about this in gambling, Jeff. If
you've got a winning angle, just stick with it. The
running game was working for Penn State. It's second and one,
and they're like, now never time to take a shot.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Come on, you never have to know, guys, never have
to know about Jeff last.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Now we're watching a game the family home.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Yeah, I was just home, so my dad game. Yeah,
so he almost was a bad luck charm because it
would have been last last year he was here when
we lost to Washington in the in the Pactoor Championship game.
I told him, I said, Dad, you can't come back
if we lose this game. He would go for to watch.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Oh my god, Jeffree, Brian, the guys that my dad
was almost almost a bad.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Luck, almost bad luck charm. But we won.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
So I was like, your your Teddy Atlas story of
throwing the.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Guy out of the house, out of here.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
So but luckily that we didn't come to that. So uh,
we're we're we're kosher there. So we'll see at twelve
o'clock Eastern what this comes out to be. But again,
a system where you know you're in the quarterfinals, the
two best teams of the country might play each other.
It feels like the system that it was not designed
correctly super fast.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
Each of you, guys, Jeff do you say the committee
not not your choice, but the committee is going to
say Bama out? I think so, Yes, you think so too? Yes, Yeah,
I think they will too. I first year, I don't
think they want to They want to punish a team
that made it to its conference championship game but.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Lost by three and fifty five yard field goal.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
I know it, but I look at the rest of
the resume, and they beat Louisville who was ranked at
the time, and Pitt who was ranked at the time.
That that's the resume.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Okay, question for you, Brian, Yeah, would you rather have
the buy in the one seed or the five seed?
Speaker 4 (15:29):
I'd rather have the buy Say here, totally.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Agreat because you're gonna let's say it's Ohio State Tennessee,
which is I think supposed eight to nine game. You're
gonna catch one of those teams off a very physical game. Yeah,
you're gonna have you have a month to just sit
there and hang out.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
That's the thing for.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Organs fast like and plays fast like. I'd rather have
that buy one hundred percent.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Yeah, yeah, I get it. Like, hey, you face the
twelve and then you face the four seed. That's the
lowest seed that gets a buy. I get that. But
people act like that first game is just gonna be
a layup, Like the twelve seed is gonna be like, well,
you know, I guess you're the more talented team. We'll
just kind of lay down and make it easy for you,
like they're gonna scratch and claw and hit you with
(16:10):
everything they happen a playoff game.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Especially thinking about if you're Ohio Stare No Dame is
the five seed Notre Dame and lost norther Illinois this year.
Not to bring up old wounds, like, it's not like
Notre Dame is not incapable of losing these games. How
has they just lost to Michigan. I know it's not
like they're cable. And this is a season where you
don't have a great I think organ is the best team,
said this for a couple weeks now, and the one
sign of being a great team and you can win
games defensively and offensively. We've won last time offensively, won
(16:35):
other games this year defensively. But yeah, there's no like
elite elite team this season, so I could see. And
by the way, who wants to play boise off like
a playoff win? Like they're not an easy out either
with the way they run the football.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
So it would be hilarious if all this talk about
it's better to be the five seed and the five
seed loses in the first round.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Now twelve, the twelve seed could be Clemson. Are you
sure that if the five seat is Texas or nerd
Ay and whatever, they're going to be Clemes it easily right?
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Not?
Speaker 4 (17:05):
No, No, no, definitely not. That's Jeff Schwartz, eight year

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Ah.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Yes, we welcome in our good friend, Christian Zippolini, BETMGM
Trading Manager. Good morning to you, Christian. Random place to start,
But what catches my attention is this Carolina Philly game.
It's at thirteen and a half right now, Philly favorite.
Of course. Do you think we might see fourteen by kickoff?
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Here?
Speaker 5 (19:08):
Yeah? For sure? As you're talking about this, that line
is moving at fourteen. It looks like we're the last
ones to move from that thirteen and a half to fourteen,
but I'm sure we'll be going there. Probably by the
time I get off the call.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
No one will think Panthers money Day, Chiefs Chargers tonight.
Four does seem a little bit short for this game.
Where are they tickets and money telling you for this one?
Speaker 5 (19:33):
Yeah? Right? I mean we've talked a bunch about the
Chiefs and not covering, so it is definitely an interesting number.
But as of right now, we're pretty close to fifty
fifty actions. This might change as we get closer than
it is the late game. The public. The public wants
back on the Chiefs last week against the Raiders, so
I'm not sure if they'll continue to come back on
(19:54):
on this this year as they are at home. But
as of right now, yeah, we're about fifty fifty.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Good morning, and Drew Odell sent us some numbers here
for the most bet games, and I'm wondering, you know,
I guess because I'm around the wise Guy world, I'm
always hearing that uh from them, and I watch a
lot of the podcast with some of the sharper groups
and that is the Rams or a big play this
(20:19):
week plus four and a half plus four. Yet I'm
seeing Buffalo being the biggest bet according to this handle.
I'm sorry, according to the most bet teams ticket wise,
is that still one of the ones you're you'll be
rooting against? It is you guys getting a lot of
Buffalo money? And is that the biggest side of the
day that they have bet bet MGM, No, I don't.
Speaker 5 (20:41):
Think know what's the biggest side. What you're seeing from
that report is just the amount of public money that's
going to come into a build, especially when they're playing well.
You know, the Rams haven't been a team that's gotten
a tout of action over the past few weeks. So
it's pretty much just the wise guys in the books
that will be rooting for the Rams as it looks
like there the biggest side, it might just be that
(21:03):
Eagles game we've talked about, just because it's such a
big number, so you know, a lot of people like
to throw that in there. But the biggest side could
be fruity for the Jets. We've taken nothing but Dolphins
money so far.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
If you could put together for bet mgm right, Christian
two or three lake parlay that would benefit your book
the most today, what would you say it would be?
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Yeah, it would be Raiders, Raiders plus sink and a half,
probably that Jets that I talked about. And then I
might go Panthers outright, just because I think a panther
is out right might blow up any kind of parlays
or anything like that that's out there. People like to
kind of throwing a free leg. And then maybe that
isn't the case this week because the Eagles are minus
(21:48):
nine hundred. Maybe that's just too big of a number.
Maybe they throw something in like mikeing molneylines, But those
are our biggest ones, a litmento need. It's going to
be the Raiders, the Jets, and then also to.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Let's talk about that the Falcons Vikings lines kind of
kind of been sitting there. It bumped up to six recently.
Are people off the Falcon after that game last week?
Because it does feel like the Falcons could be in
some trouble today. But I really don't want to bet
on either side of this one.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
Yeah, this why I probably I was going to Deep
in the Mountain, see because it's definitely the most movement
that we had this week isn't really based off of
the Injury. News said about it to two point moves
towards the Vikings, and we've taken them pretty much only
Vikings that in this moment we're about seventy Hikings. So
some of the other big movies reverse Injury that it's
(22:37):
the one that's more off of PA's not looking for
a bit of the past couple.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Of weeks, Christian, When you guys ever have any big
roots on totals like Pittsburgh, Cleveland over opened up a
little bit lower? I bet it earlier in the week.
I bet it like Tuesday or Wednesday. Are Do you
guys have any big sides as far as totals go
this week where you're actually rooting or is it mostly
(23:01):
I'm sorry, is it mostly just sides? Or are there
situations where you are rooting for uh you have big
money coming in one way on a total or is
it mostly just the side you look at.
Speaker 5 (23:13):
To pay name? Parlay's really changed that entire landscape, at
least for like a rooting perspective from the book, just
because of the fact that I'm now always rooting under
in pretty much any scenario, even if I have a
ton of under money on games. For that example is
we have a good amount of under money and you know, Cardinals,
I'm still rooting for the under in that case, just
because there could be the same game parlays out there
(23:33):
that I don't know about. So if we have a
big game with front of scoring and all these little
touchdown scores in an overfit, that's way more likely for
there to be some you know, one hundred dollars to
win fifty grand be out there, whatever, you know, whatever
it may be. So I'd rather does not get hit
and total will go under sauce. It's my preference nowadays.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Very interesting, So like were one of your traders come
to you and say, hey, last game of the night, here,
this guy bet one hundred to win fo dollars on
this ten team or and he needs the under, Like
does that happen? We're because of course you wouldn't look
at the one hundred dollars parlay better, and you wouldn't
look at one hundred dollars parlay as a risk until
nine legs are in or eight legs are in, you know,
(24:14):
So that does that happen? Though? Where your guys coming
and tayle, this guy needs one one more for that
and uh and would you actually sometimes even if it's
a big six figure number, would you guys actually for
that little parlay that that's you know, to win a
lot of money though, would you actually adjust your number
or just you kind of just go with it. I'm
thinking bet MGM, just goes with it. But what's the answer.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Yeah, we'll more so going it just because it's it's
usually a little bit harder to find. Like like you mentioned,
you know that we won't know that the extent of
those parlays until we get into the late game or
we're into the Monday night game. That's that we love
and say, Okay, you know we have x amount of
outstanding parlays and it's going to cost us that amount
of money if if this team does win. Now, we
did have an example of that last week.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Where we were rooting.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
Against the Browns because he had harleys that we're going
to play up on the other side, so we might
shade the one time. But the most we usually don't
beel aware of those until very late in the.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Night was the conversation, Hey, relax, guys, Jamis is actually
on our side something like that one. Uh, Christian, always
good visiting with you man. Enjoy week fourteen. We'll catch
you soon and thanks for having good luck?
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Yes do you? There?
Speaker 4 (25:32):
He is Christian Cippolini Bet MGM Trading manager. Gosh, that
was anybody who had what Browns plus six last Monday night?
That is absolutely disgusting with Jamis throwing a pick six
and then they get the ball down to the Denver
two yard line after a pass interference and he throws
another pick on first down.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
That way I had Broncos. I'll take you know those
games long. You need one of those games where we
just sort of sort of just you win one you're
not supposed to win.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Yes, you're definitely one one you weren't supposed to win there. Wow, Yeah,
Brian and I were together for that game. But the
end of the game. Actually watching the end of that
game and uh yeah that was interesting and I left
right at the end, not even realizing they were driving
back down again. So to also think about the money,
the swing of that with all the sports books, not
(26:23):
just bout MGM. You're talking you know, literally a billion
dollars swing, you know, worldwide on you know, two yard
line it's just it really is amazing and just to
to you know, to pretty much dive into it and
ask a guy like Christian, I never thought. I just
never thought, like, well, he's the one that mentioned that
(26:44):
a thousand helped me one hundred dollars to win fifty thousand.
You wonder how that works. Has it come up when
there's one leg left and says, okay, this knucklehead smith
has one hundred to win one hundred thousand, one hundred
dollars to win one hundred thousand on his ten legger
and he needs and that comes up, and now they're
all sweating it, or they don't really sweat it. They
(27:04):
kind of just go with it and leave the number
and book at that number and don't put that into
the equation. I found that pretty interesting.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
Yeah, absolutely, I literally quote unquote said to Crack, only
a pick six could screw this up.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Yeah he did.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
And it was like the next play was next play.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
Two pick sixes, by the way, not just one right right,
right right, but yeah, two p sixes.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Yeah, yeah, I know that's insane. You know someone who
never throws a pick six, It would be the man
Isaac Lohan Kron, you know, he's catching pick sixes and
taking them to the house. He's not throwing them. I
love what's going on this morning.
Speaker 6 (27:39):
Good morning fellas, and Is Jamis himself said on Monday night,
like I'm just praying.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
For the lords to deliver me from pick sixes.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
One incredible quote, by the.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Way, awesome quote, very fitting today because that's Sunday morning.
I have a feeling that that's been echoed in churches.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
It's actually been changed. I don't know, deliver us from evil,
it's actually deliver us from pen six Yes, did I
get an amen?
Speaker 2 (28:03):
America?
Speaker 6 (28:05):
We started college football where the Big TED Championship game
on Saturday night, Number one Oregon improved to thirteen and
Oh jeff by defeating number three Penn State forty five
to thirty seven. ACC Championship games on number seventeen Clemson
and eighth ranked SMU tied to thirty one of the
final seconds, Clemson freshman Nolan Hauser attempting a fifty six
(28:27):
yard field goal on WCCP.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
Snaphole kick on its way? Got the distance?
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Does it? Add? The actress?
Speaker 4 (28:39):
The middle six.
Speaker 6 (28:45):
And the first ever twelve team college football playoff bracket
will be announced at noon today. Yahoo Sports reported this
morning that Purdue is targeting UNLV's Barry Odom as its
next head coach in the end. On Saturday night, Nikoli
Joge scored a career high fifty six points, but Denver
still lost in Washington one twenty two to one thirteen,
(29:08):
breaking the Wizards sixteen game losing streak. Denver did play
without starters Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon due to injury.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Fellas that to you.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
Thank you, I lo it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown
to Kickoff, presented by Bett MGM. Let's throw one matchup
out here. How about the Jets at the Dolphins?
Speaker 3 (29:27):
Gross?
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Yeah, Miami favored by six here. No Brese Hall for
the Jets. So you're gonna get the Braylen Allen Show
and you get Alan Lazard back for the Jets here.
Both teams are banged up. Probably no Sauce Gardner. He's doubtful.
Is this the game Tyreek Hill finally gets going? Are
(29:48):
we expressing this at all?
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Yeah? What do you think? Brother? They have sort of
since to us come back from injury. I wonder if
you feel the same way. It feels like they're protecting
him with quick throws with like they're not really allowing
the wide receivers to get down the field that they
used to. And so that's really hurting Tybery Hill's numbers,
is that they just they sort of are calling the
(30:10):
game with an idea that let's not get too hurt.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
Yeah, it could be, and we know the too high safeties,
you know, the most of the defensive schemes are gonna
try to take away the deep ball and make the
Dolphins de incondunke it. But yeah, there might be something
there to that, Jeff where it's been more of a
let's quick passes, let's get John U. Smith involved instead
(30:35):
of airing it out with Tyreek or and I'm not
saying just fifty yard bombs down the sideline, like that's
not the era we're in right now with these two
high safeties, but you would expect more deep passes. Doesn't
have to necessarily be a go, you know, fifty yards
down the field, but more deep passes. You rarely see
that in this Dolphins offense this season.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
I know, what is what is the purpose fail? Why
is that? You think?
Speaker 4 (31:01):
I don't know because I understand the safeties are taking
away the deep deep shots, but like these deep crossing routes.
There are plenty of things you can do, and the
Dolphins just don't do them to His completion percentage is
seventy four point five, which is good and a little
bit bad because a lot of it is just these short,
(31:23):
little quick throws. I think you got to stretch the
field more than they do.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
I think you do too, and I'm curious if today
is the game to do that. You mentioned this, there's
going to be to Brian, there's going to be one
of these games Dolphins bucks Eagles where the favorite loses.
And it does feel, Brian, with how bad the Jets
(31:51):
have played, it could be this one because they've led
in a lot of games. You know. Now they're a
warm weather team going south, which I always worry about
here crack, but I'm not being on the Dolphins this game.
I have no money in this game everything. I would
take Jets and maybe even sprinkle Jets money line. But again,
they're not good at closing games out. One do the
Dolphins do, Brian, You know this. They blow out bad
(32:12):
football teams. They always do this. The Jets are NAGA
football team. You know.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
The Jets were of course eliminated from the playoffs. Last
week they lost to Seattle. All the talk out of
the Jets camp this week is if Aaron Rodgers again,
of course, whether the Jets would stick with him at starter,
or how motivating he is to keep playing, What is
his future with the franchise. I think he's been nothing
but a distraction for you know, the old Jets season
(32:37):
and of course, and he's going to continue to be
one until he takes his last snap. Also, the Dolphins,
on the other hand, are on life support for the playoffs,
have to losing to the Packers last week. They outstid
it five and seven. Might need to win out just
to make the playoffs. They definitely have looked a lot
better with a healthy tour, like you said, but they
have a tough road ahead if they want to get
in the playoffs. So listen, I want to tell you
(33:00):
something too. You can't bet. Let me just see the
current bet MGM line. It was probably like six, I believe, yeah, six, Okay,
It's just how can you bet on the Jets now
when this line actually you could have got plus seven
minus a dollar fifteen earlier in the week. I just
I find it always harder. But then again, I know,
(33:22):
I know the public likes to bet at the end
that you know, on a Sunday and you're it's just
so tough to even bet this Jets team, and you
know it's amazing, like they've been favorite, They've been bet
on the betting favorite.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
We're like, this is the team this year that that
sharps just can't.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Right.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Every week it's a sharp play. That's what they lose.
They lose.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
They lose all of them, like every single weekday. But
the sharp guys have have bet them, including this week
there was sevens on Monday and then took them out. Yeah,
every single week the Jets get bet and every single
week there, you know, bring you to the funeral.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
I know. It feels like there are so many betters
that are like I've been on them so many weeks
and they haven't come through. I can't get off of
them the week that they might come through, you know
what I mean. I think that's the logic, and I
think you're going to end up on the losing side
if you're playing the Jets over No, I know you
are based on what's happened before in this season. All right,
(34:25):
we've got Bill Krackenberger from crack wins dot com sports
handicapper Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran and his Ducks
gear today. Man, look at that sweater. Sweatshirt and sweater.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
It's like old school pullover.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
It's very nice. Kind of like what old school coach
would wear, something like a kind of almost like a
lou Holtz pullover. Yeah, very nice. I'm Brian No coming
up next to parlay platter. We'll each have one selection
for you. We pool it together for a greater payout.
It is Fox Sports Radios Campdown to kick Off presented
(34:58):
by bet MGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff presented by BETMGM. Every time you make a wager
at BETMGM, you earn BETMGM rewards points that can be
redeemed for things like bonus bets or converted to MGM
rewards points that could be used towards dining shows and
hotel rooms at over twenty MGM resorts. All right, let's
(35:19):
do this, check this out far late letter. Alright, we
each have one selection, pull it together for a greater payout. Crack,
we start with you, what do you like today?
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Let's go with Odell Beckham under twelve and a half
for receiving yards. That's the current line at BETMGM. I
don't think he's going to be targeted too much or
at all under twelve and a half receiving yards for Beckham.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Al Right, guys, Brian, I'm not going to do this
for this for this segment, but I do like Kirk
Cousins over one interception. I'm out there. He throws a
lot of interceptions, and he's down six in his last
three games, and the Vikings intercept the ball often. I
(36:06):
think there's a chance to actually this is his last game.
Is the Falcons starting quarterback of the season. I hear
you today.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Nonetheless, though, I'm going Browns plus the seven at Pittsburgh
for the reason that I kind of have some principles
in wagering one Mike Tomlin as an underdog. Sign me
up for that every single time. What I don't like
is one Mike Tomlin's a seven point favorite at home.
That's the worst spot to ever wager on the Steelers,
and in this division, underdogs, this AFC North underdogs cash
(36:37):
at a very high rate in these games are very
close games. So jamis changed. Train doesn't worry me in
this one, but I'll go. I'll go plus seven plus.
I know, Crack, you like the over in this game.
So we see a lot of points hereio opportunity maybe
for a back to cover something like that. So give
me Browns plus seven.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
Okay, I we'll revisit that game here in just a minute.
I'm gonna go for the parlay platter. I'm gonna go
with Philly running back Kenneth Gainwell. Give me over twenty
and a half rushing bet.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
I'm bening this right now. I love these alternate these
second these backup running backs against bad run defenses, because
they get I've done this all. I forgot about this one.
I love this. Yes, go continue. Sorry, I'm taking it
right now. I forgot to do this one. I've done
Gainwell over rushing in a lot of the Eagles games
for this exact reason, because I think they're going to
be ahead and he gets a lot of carries the
(37:30):
end of games.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
That's right, they're gonna have a lead. Carolina can't stop
the rush at all. And do you want to run
Saquon Barkley right into the ground. No, So there's a
chance even in the first half Kenneth Gainwell gets a
carry here too.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
I just did it too, Yeah, because.
Speaker 4 (37:46):
Get over twenty and a half rushing yards. I love
Kenneth Gainwell today. I'll go with that one. Are you good, Crac?
Can we get you on this Gainwell train?
Speaker 2 (37:57):
What do you think you know? I like what Jeff
just said too, though, those secondary running backs against this
kind of a defense. Listen, this has been nothing but
Philadelphia money all week up to fourteen. Now, almost everywhere
except for BETMGM thirteen and a half. They're looking for more,
by the way, the best money line too of Philadelphia there.
So we'll see what happens here. I'm yeah, I could
(38:20):
definitely see anything happening though. In the NFL, don't forget,
I can't lay over double digit digits on any team ever.
And you don't know if Philadelphia is looking past this
game and trying to just cruise into the playoffs so
and not get anybody hurt, and they just say, oh,
we're going to kill this team. So, but that's that's
even more of a reason why again Well can successfully
(38:43):
go over his yardage.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
I also think of this game specifically, we can talk
about it more. This is sort of a bad spot
for the Panthers, who have lost two straight close games.
One Now, they were never winning the Chiefs game, but
they would have loved to win that game. They should
have won last weekend, and you look at it as
they're far to win this game this weekend. But now
you're on the road and it's a very physical team
that just even if they don't even Eagles have a
(39:06):
down game, just physically cracked. I'm not sure. I'm not
saying they're going to cover the game, but the Eagles
should just win the game, like they're gonna just win
the game, right, And I'm I'm I have no money
in this game. You know, the bartender did take Philly
at some point, Jeff I.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Thought the Panthers should have won. Though I thought the
Panthers should.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Should have won. All my guys, this is a good
example of the NFL season. The fades. Last weekend, my
two people I fade went seven and one.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Unbelievable. That goes to show you he's right seven and one.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Last year.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
What's going on this year?
Speaker 3 (39:35):
I had hope and hoping, I'm hoping, well that that
game we we deserve our money back from the Yeah,
but that's the way it works in h in wagering,
h so sale goes this weekend.
Speaker 4 (39:49):
Yeah, we'll get into that next hour two crack where
I know you don't like to lay more than a
field goal, but in division games too, I wonder if
that makes it even more so the case we'll get
to that. By the way, the reunion is here. Is
the end also very near for this player? Ah? Yes,
(40:09):
good morning, Happy week fourteen two you is, but get
you all set for a loaded day of ball. We've
got the Falcons at the Vikings. This line just ticked
down slightly, got up to Vikings minus six. Now it's
Vikings minus five and a half at bet MGM and
it's the Kirk Cousins reunion, right, What a better time
(40:33):
for a reunion for Kirk Cousins. Four interceptions last week
against the Chargers and that was just a disgusting loss
for the Falcons where they completely outgained the Chargers. But
kirk Cousins was a turnover machine. And now he's back
in Minnesota to face his old team. And Jeff, you
mentioned this are a lot of whispers. There's a lot
(40:57):
of speculation that kirk Cousins might get benched for Michael
Pennix junior. And look, man, it's a six and six
football team that's trying to scratch and claw to win
the NFC South. They're even with Tampa. Tampa has the
same record. Atlanta has the tiebreaker because Atlanta swept Tampa.
But the losses are piling up for Atlanta. And I
(41:19):
don't know that Kirk Cousins is healthy at all right now,
but you can't keep trotting out a guy who might
be banged up with the achilles injury from last season
and who's a turnover machine when you've got a top
ten pick on the bench. So Kirk Cousins got to
get it going or he's gonna be on the sideline
here very quickly.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
I agree. And the thing about the Cousins, you know,
is you you you would like to see a player
get better throughout the season. He's gotta worse throughout the season, right,
Like his play now is worse than it was Week one.
(41:58):
And you have a quarterback off this injury, right, And
we talked about sort of week one. He wasn't moving well.
All of a sudden he moved, But he looks like
an older quarterback playing with an injury. Who was afraid
of getting hits, afraid of contact. And I know you
didn't want to play Michael Pennix for a while, but
you did draft him and at some point you got
to play them. And if you lose four in a row,
you lose this weekend. And Cousins doesn't play well again,
(42:20):
mind you, zero interception, zero touchdowns and six interceptions last
three games. Including guys, not all interceptions are made the same.
We know that his four interceptions last weekend were all
made the same. They were atrocious, they were for they
were If Michael Penix was four, it'd be like, oh, yeah,
he's a rookie. Okay, fine, that was not the case.
He was bad. If he's bad again, I think he
(42:45):
will be betch after this game. I don't have Minnesota
was one of the five I was going to. He
was like in the mix, is one of like the
six I liked. I didn't make it one of my
contest plays. I might depend on sort of where the
Wines are at. I guess when we have our crack challenge.
But I do think Minnesota covers this game. I think
people look at the Falcon that think, oh, they can
play better than last week are we sure? They haven't
(43:07):
shown that in Minnesota though, to be fair, Brian has
had a little bit of struggles. They haven't played quite
the same way, but they are much better than Atlanta.
So I do like the The Vikings are great and
the voice is on the Falcons, so that's also wow.
I like the visit which again that did not work
last week to hefty minus last week.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
On those so so and and is bartenders picks up too? Ye?
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Yeah, yeah, Bartender is. Actually it's great because Bartender has
two of the three picks I already have in my
in my wallet, so against two of them, so he
has against the Yeah, the Bartender has the Chargers plus four.
I like the Chiefs to cover that game. He has
the Steelers. I like the Browns. I talked about that already. Uh.
(43:53):
And the Eagles. No, of course, the Eagles. I think
I think the Eagles could cover. So I faded those
other two, but I already had those in my in
my in my account, so yep.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
And the little for people that don't like later, you know,
people are just tuned in here for the first time,
or people just want to be reminded these are two
people that we bet against and uh, you know it
hasn't worked out lately. However, they're losing betters, you know,
for their their lifetime, losing better. It's just running through
a little variants, maybe returning to their mean in which
(44:23):
you say, return to the mean, you know, return into
their means. So especially when there's a match, you know there,
it's usually been money. We're up money fading these two.
Speaker 3 (44:33):
Sorts over the years. Yeah, over the years. We are
the bartender. By the way, it's at Chick Chicken Ex Dinner.
It's Sammy p and Joe's podcast. Bartenders up to forty
six percent lifetime, it's forty two percent entering. The season's
twenty four and seventeen. This year twenty four seventeen.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
So maybe getting some advice from somebody, I know, right,
what if the voice definitely is, the voice definitely is,
but still the voice will take take down anybody.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
I go to the point where like all these people
that I fade, they post these props and it's just
like I can't fait the props. It's too it's too much.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Work, and the props is one hundred percent not their work.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
No, and well it's just all the public sides like
taking the Niners running back Guenero over today. Like, right,
I don't have the energy to fail a that, so
nonetheless I like the Vikings to cover this game. Okay,
well it may or may not be in my challenge.
I don't know yet, but it's funny.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
There was a three when I went to bed last
I went to better around twelve, there was a minus
three in town here in Vegas on Minnesota first half,
and I was like, wow, that's a good number of
three and a half's everywhere. That's a really good number.
And I dabbled a little bit for you know what
they take. They didn't take too much, but I bet
it a couple of times. All right. So the Falcons,
(45:46):
of course, we know Kirk Cousins return to the Minnesota
where he spent the last six seasons. They're sitting at
six and six, but still first place. That's how bad
the NFC South is, so a win today would go
a long way for their playoff hopes. Of course, the Vikings,
on the other and sitting at ten and two, can
actually clinch a playoff spot with a win today, and
with the losses by the Cardinals and the Rams, so
(46:09):
they now have won five strachers like they started this
season out, but this time it hasn't been their offense leading.
Actually it's been their defense and their pass rush also,
so they should pressure Cousins today and it's going to
be important for Atlanta to establish a consistant running game
to take some of that pressure off Cousins. Also, this
will be one to watch though with playoff implications, I
(46:29):
guess for yeah, of course for both teams. So I
have some futures on Atlanta not making the playoffs, which
I thought I was dead. I thought I was dead
on that, by the way, and now I'm I'm actually
rooting for a Vikings win on this one for that,
So there you go.
Speaker 4 (46:44):
Pretty crazy too. If you compare Sam Darnald to Kirk
Cousins their numbers, where Donald has put up better.
Speaker 2 (46:51):
Numbers, that's amazing.
Speaker 5 (46:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (46:53):
Donald has six or more touchdown passes in three fewer
interceptions compared to Kirk Cousins. Donald has the higher pass
or rating, they're almost the same completion percentage. It's just
like wow, it's it's pretty wild that Donald has come
into Minnesota where Kirk Cousins used to be and Donald's
numbers are better, and it's not like Kirk doesn't have
(47:14):
anything to work with. It's not like Kirk went to
another team and they just don't have weapons whatsoever. Granted
he doesn't have Justin Jefferson, but Drake London and Pitt's
and Bjeon Robinson. You could do a whole lot worse
than what Kirk has around him.
Speaker 3 (47:28):
He's just not good. And that's why I think Panax
haves to come in and see what I financiering This morning, guys,
I woke up to you know, you look the timeline
and a lot of the NFL insiders have these like
save tweets that they're ready to go. They just like
send them out all at once. Someone from from Schefter
who mentioned that Cousins the Vikings don't only have a
long term planned right Obviously the drafton McCarthy, he's their quarterback.
(47:49):
What is Donald's market in this offseason? I do feel
like someone's going to take a risk on him. It's
gonna fail miserably. Someone will pay him money that they shouldn't.
I mean, if if someone misses on I mean the Giants,
the Jihathan take the easy Sam Donald option instead of
drafting a quarterback. I don't know but someone's gonna overpay
for Donald. My opinion, this is a very great situation
(48:10):
where he has an offensive line of run game, a
Hall of Fame level wide receiver, and a great offensive
coach and a good defense. Like all these things match up.
He'll go somewhere next year where none of those things
are there and be the Sam Donald that we thought
he always was.
Speaker 4 (48:23):
Gonna be interesting. Yeah, someone's gonna pay him because they're
hoping for Baker Mayfield, Right, you're hoping for a similar
type of resurgence.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
But again big Baker, thinking about what Baker has a
round up and Baker's played well, Okay, But the offensive
line is good in Tampa Bay. Okay. He has Mike
Evans who's going to the Hall of Fame, Chris Godwin
who's good, and Kate Adden's a good tight end, like
like three good pieces. And he's got Bucky Irving who
is like the best running back as a rooking the
NFL and White. Okay, I think it's a good defense.
(48:54):
Like all these things are aligned in a bad division.
I where is Donald going?
Speaker 2 (48:59):
Where that?
Speaker 3 (49:00):
I think Tampa thought, By the way, Baker was this
guy who they could basically call their fan I think
he was a bridge for them. I was a bridge
or something else and something else was was Baker? Where
is that? Next year?
Speaker 5 (49:11):
Is is it?
Speaker 3 (49:13):
I can't even think of a team right off on
my head that like, is it the Raiders? The Raiders
gonna don't want she jor Sanders and we're gonna go
get Sam Darnold and play with that team. He's as
that success and I think the Jets are gonna.
Speaker 4 (49:25):
Be there, right, because you can't you can't duplicate the
same scenario because think about the NFC South for Baker
and what he has to work through compared to the
AFC West. Right, If it's the Raiders and you've got
Mahomes and Herbert and then looks pretty good, good luck.
Baker just landed in the perfect spot. He's made the
most of it. But I think that does help Sam
(49:48):
a bit. Right, there's gonna be a team that says, hey,
look at Baker's pretty absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (49:53):
Yeah, it's certainly gonna help because look we we not
we but like, first of all, this is where the
this is where guys uh draft slot a bias plays
in two account? Right, if all was a fourth round quarterback,
no one's itching to sign Donald to a long term deal.
It's because of the first round quarterback, a top quarterback,
and I think they can quote fix him. Uh, and
(50:15):
he could come into our program and be that that
top guy. But more often than that, that's not actually
the case. And so I am sort of curious to
see how that how that manifests itself in this office.
We have, we have so much more to talk about
besides Sam Donald's contract. So I just I found interesting
this morning when you know, we're talking about sort of
you know, you got to start looking forward to next
year and and whatnot. And that was interesting, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (50:39):
And we're talking about Baker. Let's go to that game
Raiders at Tampa. Tampa favored by six and a half,
and uh, listen this. This Tampa pass defense is very leaky.
Their thirtieth in passing yards giving up per game. And
so can Aidan O'Connell, who's played well as games, He
(51:00):
played well against the Chiefs last time we saw him.
Can he put up enough through the air because the
Raiders just can't run the ball. They cannot run the ball.
So can Aidan O'Connell with Brock Bauers, with Jacoby Myers,
who's questionable Jacoby Myers nursing an ankle injury. Well, the
Raiders have enough offense to keep it at least within
the number, keep it close enough. What do you guys
(51:21):
think about that?
Speaker 3 (51:23):
I don't think so. No, no, I don't. I just
I don't expect. I don't expect that to happen. I
think Tampa. I think I know Tampa's really good. They
kind of they got very lucky last weekend, right it
was gonna I think there's gonna be a little bit
(51:44):
of like, like we you know, we we got lucky there.
Let's not have that happen again. And I think the
Raiders just aren't aren't good. And I'm okay with with
Tampa covering this game after failing to cover last weekend.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
I am uh, you know, I I've one of my
good futures is against the I even took alternate numbers
against the Raiders season wins, taking back almost three to one.
The two and ten Raiders played their hearts out last week,
though in the nineteen seventeen lost to the Chiefs. That's
second half. They just botched it. At the end. Of course,
(52:19):
O'Connell looking a lot better than a quarterback than Minshew
has all year, though, so they still couldn't pull off
that upset when they're now eyeing the probably the first
pick in the draft so they can grab their quarterback
of the future or maybe, like you said, maybe take
it from one of these other guys out. They have
to get a new quarterback in there, though. Is there
any fight in this team left? After another close loss?
(52:43):
Tampa literally gave me a heart attack, by the way,
because because I am in the survivor pick a survivor
pulled back in Vegas again. I bought back in and
I had the Bucks. First of all, I had I
had the Chiefs. You have to have your own week.
Being Thanksgiving, it was its own week, made a little difficult.
So I had Detroit. I'm sorry Detroit. I had Detroit
(53:05):
and they barely got by Chicago. They fired the coach
the next day, as everyone knows, and I should have
at least probably been overtime. I should have been struggling there.
And then I had the Bucks, which that's a miracle
to win the Bucks last week and still be alive.
So anyway, so they sit at six and six and
now very much alive for a playoff spot, but they
have to beat a bad Raiders team, like like guys
(53:27):
are talking about. Mayfield looked a little beat up last
week too, So the Bucks have just started to run
the ball a little bit better and maybe not really
relying on Baker's arm as much. The Raiders' strength on
defense has been against the runs. So it'll be interesting
to see what happens today. Listen. I'll tell you right now,
we're being in Vegas. Living here is so fortunate betting wise,
(53:49):
because we have these extra half points. If this game
maybe goes to seven, I'd actually lean the Raiders plus
the seven. I didn't bet it, but you know, we
have some spots here in town that are we have
one spot plus seven, but bet MGM minus six and
a half mis minus fifteen. I don't see bet MGM
(54:09):
going to the seven. You know it's it's it's not
good when the sportsbook toggles. If I was a director
or a risk person, that it's not good when you
toggle off key numbers back and forth. In other words,
going from three to three and a half, six, six
and a I mean six and a half to seven.
You want a decision at a current number, Maybe you
add some juice to it either way, but you don't
(54:33):
want to get yourself sided. What that means is the
game lands on the seven and here you've written a
ton of business minus six and a half and you've
written some business on the way back plus seven. So
that means you push on that, you only get the
loss on the On the other side, BETMGM minus six
and a half minus fifteen right now, which wouldn't be
a bet for me on either side.
Speaker 4 (54:53):
No interesting stuff crack. And that's the thing you mentioned this.
You look at Tampa's running game right now. They're ranked
number eight in the league rushing yards per game. That's
pretty good. Like they're not known for the running game.
It's a top ten rushing offense. The Raiders aren't awful
against the rush. They're number eleven against the rush. That's
the rush defense. So I don't expect the Raiders to
(55:15):
be able to run the ball at all. They can't
run the ball and Dama's rush defense is respectable. So
this is Aidan O'Connell throwing it. But the question is
how much will Baker need to do? How well is
the running game working? Because listen for a two to
ten team with guys like Max Crosby. This is not
(55:36):
a typical team that's just like you know, wilts and dies.
Like the Raiders will still fight you. They're just not
very good. But I don't expect them to lay down
like some teams. Some teams just quit. I don't expect
they could have.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
Quit last week first Kansas City down, down two scores.
I mean, they really could have quit and they came back.
Speaker 4 (55:55):

Coming up next, will one bad team drag its opponent
down with them? Today? That's coming up. It's Fox Sports
(56:40):
Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM. It is Fox
Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by BETMGM. Throughout the
entire football season, BETMGM will offer all different types of
no sweat tokens. Be on the lookout for no sweat
same game parlay tokens and parlay boost tokens, just to
name a couple. Be sure to follow BETMGM across all
(57:01):
socials at BETMGM. We've got the Bears at the Niners.
Niners favored by three at betmgm. The fours, the three
in the hook, all gone, all gone. I had to
get that earlier if you're on the Bears. But plus
three for Chicago. So the question is, will one bad
team Chicago drag its opponent down with them? Which would
(57:24):
be the forty nine ers and the forty nine ers.
They're five and seven here, they have a tough end
of the season here, these last five games the Bears,
that's about as favorable as it gets. The rest of
the schedule is brutal. So this is a must have
game obviously for San Francisco when you have the Rams
(57:46):
at Miami Detroit on Monday night and at Arizona to
end the season. Absolutely have to beat the Bears here today,
and the Niners not breaking news. They're completely banged up,
totally decimated by injury. No Christian McCaffrey, no Jordan Mason,
no Trent Williams, Nick Bosas doubtful, the list goes on
(58:07):
and on. What do you think to the Niners is this?
I was thinking about this because the Niners have lost
three straight. Remember Washington lost three straight and they bounced
back and they crushed the Titans last week. I don't
expect the Niners to crush the Bears. But are we
looking at the Niners off a three game losing streak,
(58:28):
looking as bad as they can and maybe devalu devaluing
them a little bit too much in this particular matchup
against Chicago.
Speaker 3 (58:38):
So a couple of things here over this game. I Uh,
I am always kind of what's the right way to
put it, I'm always uh gambling curious, welly, I'm always gambling.
I'm I'm always like I'm trying to the right word.
I'm always like dubious. I guess to this idea that
(58:58):
like a coaching bump matter in the NFL and college football. However,
Mattybraflus is a terrible coach and he's now gone to Chicago.
I mean he has to be after we saw whatever
that was last week. I thinks you can't here the thing.
You can't. What's the way to put it. You can
be bad and maybe a little incompetent. You can't be
(59:22):
bad and competent and then embarrass your organization. Okay, so
he's out of there. So I do think they get
a coach bump in this game for that reason. They
just have a bad coach is gone. But right, that
makes sense, But how much does it matter? I think, guys,
the Niners are just dead man walking right now though.
I mean, their season is done. They're so beat up.
(59:45):
No McCaffrey, no Jordan Mason. Party can't fill the ball
right now. They can't block for him, the hurt on defense.
I have the Bears today, I have him covering. I
have him winning out right. It might be the quote
unquote like public play crack, But did.
Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
You get did you get a good line the week?
Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
That's good. That's a good so was it now three?
Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
Three? I'll still take through the Crack Challenge. Nonetheless, I uh,
I can't, I guys, I don't. I know. I take
this to Brian the day I missed a couple of
tndays ago. I'm like, I don't change. Whatever I do
on Friday for my podcast is most of what I'm
giving you on Sunday, unless, like it goes from three
and a half to two and a half. I really
got to think about, like what I'm taking the dog
getting a much worse number, but four to three, I mean, yeah, crack,
(01:00:36):
It's not the best move, but I still get that three.
So I'm okay with taking that in the Crack Challenge,
which is part of the fun of the Crack Challenge.
So I do like the Bears in this game. I know, Brian,
you're not in your head. I think you agree with me.
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
Yeah. Lots of sharp guys on the Bears for sure.
Uh and the Bears of all six straight after you
know that that disastrous finished last week. Like we said
to the Lions, that was the final straw for their coach.
He's gone son. Really, the fans can't blame the coaching
and the staff anymore for losing these especially these three,
(01:01:08):
all these close games at the end here Williams and
the offense has actually looked better last few weeks, but
they they just can't close. They just can't close out games.
Their dogs on the road again, as we said, and
they've gotten all the money this week amazingly. I didn't
think it was going to go down to the three
from the four. I did see the four all week,
(01:01:28):
so but the forty nine ers in I think they
said at five and seven, big disappointment down to their
third string running back injuries galore, uh which which actually
being down to that running back is probably good news
for the Bears, who ranked towards the bottom of stopping
the run. So San fran desperately needs a win today.
(01:01:50):
I don't know, are they even relevant in the playoff? Pitcher,
I guess five and seven because of where they're at.
Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
Yes, yeah, well it's the division, right, the division right?
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
The West is just it's still winnable.
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
For anyone, Yeah, it is, it is. I just they
just have looked so bad. They'll just need brock Perty
to play much better than he did last week in
the snow and Buffalo. That's for sure, so he's back home.
See what happens.
Speaker 4 (01:02:16):
Yeah, yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
I lean the Bears though. I do lean the Bears
in this situation in this game. But like Jeff, when
he got the four that was the good line, didn't
think it was going to go down to three. I
couldn't bet the game at plus three. But plus four, boy,
I tell you I actually missed out there. I probably
would have bet that. Looking at it now, of course,
it looks like a no brainer.
Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
Isn't that wild? Where you look at the Niners roster
as loaded as it is, absolutely and now, like think
about this at the beginning of the season, where we'd
be looking at a five and seven football team with
Isaac Grendo, a rookie out of Louisville, as the starting
running back. You know what I mean, It's just like, Wow,
holy cow. And Ricky Pierce All he was their first
(01:03:01):
he was their first round pick, and he's basically in
for Brandon Nyuk. Now Ayuk's he's been gone for most
of the season. It's just these you can only take
so much attrition, you can only take so many injuries.
You hear this all the time, like every team's banged
up every team is not banged up the same. Okay,
Like the Niners have lost so much talent and that's
(01:03:23):
directly impacted their record. There's no doubt now we we
can withstand some injuries because we have a guy named
Isaac loewen Kron, you know what I mean. Like he's
the makeup, He's the mass scare if we ever suffer
injuries on this show. Doesn't work the same way in football.
But I loo is here with us for the latest.
Speaker 6 (01:03:43):
Good morning, and the latest is the countdown on to
the college football playoff brocket being revealed at the top
of the hour, and the mood of sports fans and
college football fans all across the country perhaps best exemplified
by at Bamajeno four, who posted on social media late
(01:04:05):
last night and I quote, I literally can't go to bed. Meanwhile,
the committee probably already in bed, like screw it, let's
just flip a coin in the morning lol unquote, captured
very well at BAMA Gen four. But anyway, the playoff
bracket indeed will be revealed at the top of the hour.
A short time ago, however, the new AP rankings were released.
(01:04:28):
At number fourteen was South Carolina Clemson moved up five
spots to number thirteen after its win over SMU in
the ACC Championship game. SMU dropped four spots to number twelve.
Alabama was number eleven, Arizona State moved up to spots
to number ten, Indiana State at number nine. Boise State
(01:04:49):
moved up two spots to number eight, with Tennessee seventh,
Ohio State sixth, and Penn State fifth.
Speaker 4 (01:04:55):
Again.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Those were the new AP rankings.
Speaker 6 (01:04:59):
The College Football A playoff bracket will be revealed at
the top of the hour. Elsewhere, Yahoo Sports reported this
morning that Purdue is targeting you nlv's Barry Odom as
its next head coach and one NFL note, Sauce Gardner
is officially inactive today for the New York Jets against
the Miami Dolphins. Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens is officially
(01:05:23):
inactive today against the Cleveland Browns.
Speaker 4 (01:05:25):
Back to you guys, Wow, that's a big nuge.
Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
I think I said he was. It's rear a tweet
like fifteen minutes ago that Pickens was going. I guess
he's not all of a sudden, He's not interesting changes.
It changes fast in the United when you have to.
You have to make him have to make a decision.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Yeah, that's it. Because he's nursing that hamstring injury. He
was questionable, but wow, yeah, no Pickens. That's a big
deal for the game. There's a lot that is impacted
with that. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff
presented by BETMGM all season long. Bet MGM is offering
you a second chance on your first touchdown bet in
the NFL. When a cupustomer places in an NFL wager
(01:06:01):
on a first touchdown score bet and he doesn't score first,
but score second, bet MGM will return one hundred percent
of their stakeback in cash. Let's dive into this. Let's
go rushing.
Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
Let's second and a chance score.
Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
It might be our last opportunity.
Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
Man, all right, crag We're looking for a first touchdown
score and with this BETMGM promotion, if he scores second instead,
we get our money back. Anybody that you like here today?
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Yeah, because of the situation there where you get your
money back on the second one, I try to keep
it to something a little bit lower, you know. I'll
tell you what. There's a couple of choices today. I'm
gonna stick with Jefferson though, justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings. I
like that situation where if he scores, if he doesn't, second,
(01:06:50):
you get your money back. I don't know any other
site that does that, so I have to give BETMGM
credit for that.
Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
The one you always take is Barkley. It's plus two
to fifty right now. The numbers, the number is so low.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Now I have three I would have taken, but you know,
I just don't. Are they going to play, like, what's
the situation there? Do they pull him?
Speaker 3 (01:07:10):
No, they won't take it out to the third and
fourth quarter. The fact is that number is so low. Now,
I mean most of these are five hundred.
Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Six hundred. Barkley.
Speaker 3 (01:07:20):
Barkley fills out well. Barkley feels like an easy one
at plus two fifty. But I'll give you another one.
Look Bucky Irving plus five hundred. It's an organ weekend
kids ball And the only thing, the only thing about
these this one specifically, is they do rotate their running backs.
So a situation where let's say Bucky gets four carries
in a row gets him down to the two, they
(01:07:41):
might put Rashad White in. But because of the promotion
he might get the second touchdown, So I'll go Bucky
Irving here plus plus five hundred for Tampa Bay.
Speaker 4 (01:07:51):
Okay, I'll go with Alvin Kamara again. He actually scored
the first touchdown last week and it got wiped out
due to penalty.
Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
So I was on it last week plus three thirty
plus three thirty three.
Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
At plus three thirty three last week he was plus
four hundred. But I'll go with Kamara against the Giants
today plus three thirty three. I think that's a solid play.
Let me throw another game at you, guys. How about
the Browns at the Steelers? And this number has moved
just a little bit. No more sevens at bet MGM
or a.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Major line move, Brian's hard to interrupt you. A major
line move on the screen right now, there's not even
those six and a half. There's not even those six
though it's a six now. Big money just came in
on Cleveland the last five minutes. Sorry to interrupt you.
Speaker 4 (01:08:34):
No, you're good, And what Ilo just said? No George Pickens,
who is the big play wide receiver for the Steelers here,
so if he's out, that's a big impact in this game.
And man, you look at the Browns Crack. You were
on this last week fading Nick Chubb. Nick Chubb is
a fantastic running back. He's just not healthy. It's coming
(01:08:56):
off a major injury. He's had a few major injuries
in his career, and he's just not getting a whole
lot of carries. What do you guys think of I'll
throw a propier way, what do you think about Jerome Ford?
He's at six and a half carries today, that's it.
That's it, right, I think he's gonna get seven carries today?
Is he?
Speaker 3 (01:09:15):
Not?
Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
Like the Steelers rush defense is good. They're number four
in the NFL. But Cleveland's got to try to run
the ball somewhat and they're not giving Nick Chubb a
ton of carries. I think Jerome Ford could get there.
Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
Here too interesting, I'm looking Chubb's game blog here. That's it.
So he's gone. He's gone. Yeah, I mean he opened
a season with.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
It's amazing, guys, this game just keeps. It's amazing that
we come right to this game at this point in
the show when it's in black and red on my screen,
and the under also was just hit down the forty
two and a half, which I it's unusual, right, I
give I told you guys like the over, and now
it gets hit down to the under. So it's kind
of interesting dogging under, which is, you know, correlated of course,
(01:10:04):
but this is not the same weather that we've seen
a couple of weeks ago on the stormy Thursday night
there in Cleveland. It went over that night, right, which
went over, by the way, the fourth we scored twenty
seven points.
Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
We had, we had the we had, we had the
under that game. Yeah, look, man, if you send it over,
I'm gonna do it. Yeah. It's the same as like
when I see the voice, I'm gonna bet the opposite
one crack sends it over, We're gonna do it. So
you know I'm on the over two in that game
because of you. Let's no other reason why.
Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
Yeah, these teams have the opposite records too, three, three
and nine, nine and three. Coming off the crazy games,
the Browns really lost a wild one that Like I said,
Brian and I were seeing the end of that game.
Forty one thirty two. Winston threw for like five hundred yards,
but he had four, I think four or five interceptions
on that game. The Steelers had over five hundred yards
(01:10:53):
of offense in their win versus the Bengals, a true shootout.
Amazing that they can give up that many points. Another
game that scored eighty two points. In that game, Pittsburgh
won six or the last seven. They've been a cover machine,
covering in all six. I just they surprised me. I
am anti Pittsburgh. I just thought they have a tough schedule,
(01:11:13):
they've a little bit fagazy, but they're continuing, even the
even the quiet meed down. So this is another one
of those everything to play for, nothing to play for games.
But remember that this is all these things division opponent.
Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Yeah, any one more Browns win to hit my win
total over for I took an alternate three and a
half overs when when when winsday got hurt. So I'm
hoping that I need a I wouldn't wuld be nice,
So I cash that. By the way, guys, I'm gonna
it's a line movement for college football. Quickly we started
the show, SMU is minus three hundred to make the playoff.
There now to eight hundred. Wow, make the playoffs. So
(01:11:50):
maybe someone knows something that that we don't know here.
As we get closer to the reveal, and uh, we
get to see where you're irish? Are are you gonna
go to the game?
Speaker 2 (01:11:59):
Brian?
Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
Are you gonna go to the December twentieth and twenty first?
So the two other two days for the opening round
play you're gonna go to no name, but to South
Bendford Playoff Gaming.
Speaker 4 (01:12:08):
How cool is that that would be? It's a great thought.
But now I don't think I'm gonna make it all
the way back there. I'm in Vegas right now.
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
He's in Vegas, he's here. I didn't want to say it,
but hey.
Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
I mean I thought I thought, you know, I thought
flights they don't operate from Vegas to they don't have
the airport, and whe you fly Chicago, you fight Chicago.
Speaker 4 (01:12:27):
No, they actually have direct to South Bend from Vegas.
Believe it or not.
Speaker 3 (01:12:31):
Interesting. Yeah, that feels easy enough.
Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
Hey, Jeff, I was I was debating whether to send
this late night footage of Brian, like midnight at the
crap table last night.
Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
But I didn't, you know, did he make did he
make money?
Speaker 2 (01:12:43):
He was screaming in yelling and he had a chance
behind him.
Speaker 3 (01:12:46):
I'll tell you what. I love to play craps, all right,
But I we thought this before. I don't like losing money.
I've earned my money. I like to keep my money
as best I can. I feel like I have more
of an edge and wager on sports than I do.
And in rolling dice, you can lose so much money
so fast played if you have to. If you play
craps correctly, that's seven rolls up and they take that
(01:13:08):
money off that table, and you're like, what happened to
all the money that I should have in my pocket?
Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
Jeff's saying, for people that don't know craps, you could
spread your It's not just a one bet decision. There's
a lot of different ways to bet it. You can numbers,
you can't come bet put the money on this. Seven
wipes everything out, everything, and.
Speaker 3 (01:13:26):
You're just like, oh, no, one time where I've had
been on a hot table.
Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
My life, Jeff, I've got a story for you. Krack
knows this. I'll give it to you coming up next.
But there was a guy that was not too fond
of a certain number that was mentioned at the table.
Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
This is crazy. I'm so happy that Brett mentioned this. No, this,
this was this was and I tried to explain to
my breakfast the next morning about the situation. So when
we come back from break, this is something very relevant
to gambling, even though it's not sports betting, that needs
to be said. So when we come back from break,
we'll discuss it.
Speaker 4 (01:14:00):
I love this one for sure. Absolutely. We've got Bill
Krackenberger from crackwins dot com, Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran,

Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
Drop it up player plays.
Speaker 4 (01:15:12):
Okay, prop bets, go lore crack. We start with you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
What do you like, Deebo Samuel, Let's go over his
rushing yards. You know they want to get him more involved.
I think they'll be more into the running game maybe today.
And you know I bet so many props. I'm gonna
give you guys some more at the end of the game.
But let's start you out with Samuel over and let
me give you the current bet MGM number over nine
(01:15:38):
and a half nothing big, so deepo Samuel over his
rushing yards.
Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
I like that Cousins interception over one point five five.
I mean Cousins was an interception today, Brian, I'm like, oh,
for the century. Now I'm tailing you in these but
because my own wager, it's my own wager, and I'm
going over here so I like, I like that over
interception play for me in this game. Uh and uh,
(01:16:05):
I'm by with it.
Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
Oh for the century is such a bloated stat right there.
You're like, oh for two, you know, or something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
I mean, that's oh for the century. I'm old for
the century of Oh, I know, I'm not incorrect. There's
just two agers. I just over the century.
Speaker 4 (01:16:20):
Okay, I want you to get back on the train
here today, Schwartz. All right, I'm gonna combine two things
that you hate. I'm gonna go with an interception prop
and Derek Carr. Huh how about this? Oh, Derek Carr
no interception today against the Giants.
Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
So that's Giants. We would have one interception all seasonal.
Speaker 4 (01:16:41):
Giants one pick all year. And then think about this,
what what the Giants can't stop the rush? They cannot
stop the rush right now? So what does that mean?
You're gonna get a heavy dose of Alvin Kamara running
the ball. You're gonna, of course, like dump it off
to Alvin Kamara in the passing game for five times.
(01:17:01):
So it's gonna be a lot of high percentage throws,
nothing too risky. So the formula is there for Derek
Carr to avoid an interception. He's done a decent job
protecting it. Only four picks. He's been banged up a
little bit, so he hasn't gotten the same amount of
passing attempts, but he's done a good job protecting the ball.
I'm gonna say, Derek Carr officially, if you look at
(01:17:23):
the interception numbers at BEDMGM, it would be under zero
point five interceptions. It's just no interception thrown by Derek
Carr today, is what I'm telling you. What do you think, Jeff,
you're going to enter that one in?
Speaker 3 (01:17:37):
I didn't. I'm gonna saying it might lose this game,
so I I don't watch you that. I have some
numbers on the old Derek Carr. Here is the road favorite,
and let me tell you guys, it's not good. I
want to hear the story you have about this number.
Speaker 4 (01:17:50):
Now, okay, Yeah, So my girlfriend and I were at
an individual craps table. You see these in Vegas all
the time, where you have like, it's not a full
craps table where there are ten fifteen people standing around it.
It's just you're it's an electronic thing. So you sit
in front of this little computer screen and you're betting
on your screen, and they might have a couple like
three or four around a circle. So we're just at
(01:18:13):
an individual craps table and I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
A bubble craps right, the little bubble machine.
Speaker 4 (01:18:18):
Little bubble machine, yep. And so I'm just explaining, hey,
maybe we're betting six and eight. I'm like, hey, we
want a six or an eight to be rolled before
a seven out of nowhere. This other guy who's at
an individual craps table, he comes over and he goes,
you know, if we're at a craps table and you
said that number, everyone would be mad at you. And
I go, what seven? Anger in his eyes? Anger in
(01:18:40):
his He comes up to me kind of like pats
me on the back and he goes, yeah, everyone would
be mad at you. So if you could stop saying
that number.
Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
People are sick, very very sick. I got a local casino.
This is serious. These locals are crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:18:57):
I go, don't do that, don't don't, don't touch me.
But and I'm like, so are you telling me? Are
you telling because I said seven, you lost? That's what
you're telling me? And he goes, you said it again,
it's just completely superstitious.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
Man. People are nuts.
Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
Ah.
Speaker 4 (01:19:18):
Yes, welcome in here. Week fourteen NFL action also College
football playoffs the four Well, we know the format. We're
gonna know the teams here shortly this hour, we should
know all twelve teams that are in the three of
us are expecting SMU to get the NOD over Alabama.
But we will have official word here.
Speaker 3 (01:19:38):
There is a breaking news tweet for Breman Murphy dashon
Network saying SMU is in Wow out So you got
scoop there, little scooped to do here? It comes right now?
Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
Oh well, oh no, they keep teasing us. They're teasing us, Brian.
Speaker 4 (01:19:53):
Well, and the seating is important as well. I'm very
curious to see like Clemson is at Arizona State, who
gets the bos, who seeded fifth, sixth, seventh, Well, I'll
be unveiled. So we should know all those answers this hour.
In the meantime, let me throw an NFL game at you.
Bills at the Rams. Bills are ten and two, they've
won seven straight. Rams at six and six, Rams are
(01:20:17):
getting three and a half right now at bed MGM. Guys,
the way I look at this game you look at
the Bills. They are a running team first and foremost.
With James Cook, they're a power team. Josh Allen James
Cook good one two duo right there. The Rams can't
stop the rush. They've had a really tough time this year.
If you're the Rams defense, don't you make the Bills
(01:20:39):
passing offense beat you. You got to do everything you
can to slow down James Cook in this running attack.
Josh Allen, we know that he's the MVP frontrunner for
a reason. He can throw the ball, but he doesn't
have great weapons to throw to. I would make the
Bills beat me by throwing it. I'm doing everything I
can to slow down James Cook.
Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
So yes, I agree with you, and they might set
out to do that. This feels like a tough spot
for the Rams. I mean, gona be the Bills in
this situation. I like the Rams. Let's say I like
the Rams. The Bills are off that super fun game
in the snow right at home with the Niners where
Josh Allen threw a touchdown pass to himself. Eventually, I
(01:21:22):
don't know why no one made the point that they
should have blown that play dead. I don't know why
he was allowed to do that, and the forward and
momentum had been stopped. Nonetheless, yeah, I mean he was
being pushed back. Who's been pushed back with rule of
cool keep the play? But we've seen plays blown dead
much faster than than that, Brian, in my life of
(01:21:43):
watching football. Nonetheless, Now you play the Lions next weekend?
Do the Bills? So Sandwich spot here, long road trip
to Los Angeles. Rams have to win this game to
keep pacing their division. The Bills have wrapped up their
division already. Now they have to win and keep pace
with the Knight, with the with the Chiefs, I should say,
but this feels like a down spot for the Ram
(01:22:05):
for the keeping the Rams, the Bills, the Bills. When
the Rams have Cooper Cup, Pooka Nakua, Matt Stafford, Karen Williams,
Sean mcvack, when they're all together, they are very good
football team. So I like the Rams here. I like
the points. It was four and a half. What's it now?
You said three and a half?
Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
Three?
Speaker 3 (01:22:26):
Maybe gets the three crack the next couple of minutes
here for the craft challenge, But I think the Rams
want pull the upset today.
Speaker 2 (01:22:32):
I like the Rams this isn't going to three. I
don't think I think you're safe here. This opened like
it was four and a half. Though. The Bills are
riding high coming off their big win versus forty nine
Ers last week. But they like you got, like you said, Jeff,
They've now clinched the AFC for the fish straight season.
And you know, can this be a little letdown spot
(01:22:53):
for Buffalo after beating the Chiefs and forty nine ers.
Let me tell you, I do agree, And a lot
of the wise guys and the sharp guys are great.
Rams are six and six fighting for their playoff spot.
Offensive line now one hundred percent. Matt Stafford looked healthy
like you just had a lot of those names there there.
You know this this could be a good spot for them,
I would. I would tend to agree though. Interesting stat
(01:23:16):
the Bills have dominated on fourth down. They're eighty six
percent on their fourth down conversions, opponent's only forty one percent.
So I just that's something I see those you guys
will find pretty interesting. But I do agree. Let's just
make sure bet MGM is still three and a half here.
I'm sure they are. You can get plus three and
a half minus five on the Rams right now. And uh,
(01:23:40):
I'll tell you I definitely lean that way myself, even
though I did miss the four and the four the
four and a half was just there for a second.
But this should be a good later game. That might
be a better game than people think though. So let's
see what happens.
Speaker 1 (01:23:53):
Well.
Speaker 4 (01:23:53):
And that's the thing too, Jeff, you can speak to
this the best. Where we typically talk about this as
a college thing, the emotional high on one week and
then maybe the let down the next week. It does
exist in the NFL as well. If you look at
the Bills, that's a primetime spot. That's what Sunday Night
football they're doing, snow Angels against the Niners. And now
(01:24:17):
you're on the road, you're against the Rams. You mentioned
it too, Jeff, it's a sandwich spot. You got a
monster matchup against the Lions next week. It's hard, it's
hard to get back up to that same emotional level.
And like the Bills, they could still win the game,
but three and a hook. You think back to Thursday night,
the Lions won the game, they didn't cover the three
(01:24:37):
and a hook, and they're at home. The Bills are
traveling across the country. After an emotional high. I'm with you, man,
it's not a great spot for Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
I don't think it's either. And so again I'm super
okay sort of taking taking You know what, what I
think is a Bills again, a Bills team that they
they I mean, I keep messing the teams up, MS
team that needs this win as much as the Bills do.
The Rams. You goanna keep pace in this division?
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
Yeah, you have to.
Speaker 4 (01:25:08):
How about Seattle at Arizona. This game has kind of
gone up, down, up down. It's now at three again.
Arizona is a home favorite by three at bet MGM.
Like Craick just mentioned, minus five with the other game,
it's minus five with Arizona minus three here. The Seahawks,
(01:25:29):
for what it's worth, have won six straight against Arizona
in this matchup. No Kenneth Walker today though for Seattle,
they're running back. I love this man. If you if
you have any type of inside information, you can cash
in big time. So Zach Sharbonay, he's the backup running
back for Seattle. Earlier this week when Kenneth Walker is
(01:25:50):
questionable the backup running back. His rushing yardage prop bet
was fifteen and a half now with Kenneth Walker out,
Zach Charbonay's rushing prop is sixty six and a half.
Shut up fifty one yards right there? But that's that
Isn't that high? Sixty six and a half for Sharbona
against the Arizona Cardinals. What do you think about that line?
Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
Sarah runs the ball this game. I don't have much
of a feel for I'm talking about Arizona this year,
sort of not knowing what they are. But Seattle never
plays a normal game. They won the last two games
essentially on pick sixes. Right. They won Arizona game pick
six last weekend a ninety five yard pick six by
a d tackle. So I don't I don't. I don't
(01:26:34):
necessarily love this spot for for Seattle's crrarec. You have
a wager on this game, right, I think I think
you see something to lose.
Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
I'm against and I'm actually against another Sharp sports betting
syndicate group which he has Arizona money line, so we
both can get the money here, just like I did
on Thursday night with I was against a group and
I took three and a half and the group took
Detroit Minustry. I had Green Bay and landed right in
the center. We all won huge game for the NFC
(01:27:07):
West here Seattle seven and five, Cardinals six and six.
Seattle has look a lot better on d the last
few weeks. Have to getting really healthy now, so they
actually ranked seventh against the past sixth against the run,
won three in a row. I think I was on
them all three games, including the sixteen to six win
against the Cardinals team just for just three weeks ago.
(01:27:27):
Seattle really shut down the running game in that meeting.
Actually Connor Arizona running back Connor only had eight yards
on seven carries. So Arizona coming off a bad loss
to the Vikings where they blew a thirteen point lead
and lost by a point, they will have to do
a little bit better on the ground if they want
to win this one. I lean to the dog here
plus the three points. Like I said both Brian said
(01:27:51):
at the beginning here, both teams been toggling back and
forth money line, Arizona going up to you know, minus
a dollar fifty five from a dollar twenty five, now
going up to minus three at a couple spots, including
Ben MGM. I definitely lean Seattle this game.
Speaker 4 (01:28:09):
Yeah, interesting with Trey McBride the Arizona Cardinals tight end.
This dude has put up numbers. You've seen what this
guy has done the last two weeks. So this was
the first matchup against Seattle. Twelve catches for one hundred
and thirty three yards. Last week at Minnesota, twelve catches
for ninety six yards. So he's had his prop right
(01:28:29):
now is let me double check, but I think it
was that sixty six and a half. It's gone up
a couple of yards sixty eight and a half receiving
yards for Trey McBride. He's gone over that number in
for the last five games, and he's gotten a lot
of targets.
Speaker 2 (01:28:45):
Man.
Speaker 4 (01:28:46):
Again, you go back to that Seattle game just a
couple of weeks ago. That's the same opponent today for
the Arizona Cardinals. Twelve catches. He had fifteen targets in
that game for one hundred and thirty three yards. So
this Arizona defense, man, I'm sorry the Seattle defense. When
you're trying to slow down Arizona's passing game, it starts
with Trey McBride. We talk about Marvin Harrison junior, Trey
(01:29:07):
McBride is the guy who's targeted the most as the
most catches. Uh, you got to slow down this tight end,
and no one's been able to do that the last
couple of weeks and throughout most of the season. Tray
McBride is a good player.
Speaker 3 (01:29:19):
He's good.
Speaker 4 (01:29:20):
Yeah, Yeah, he's starting to get more love. But he's
not talked about like one of the upper echel line
tight ends.
Speaker 2 (01:29:26):
But he is.
Speaker 3 (01:29:27):
Well. I think that it's because Arizona is just sort
of not talked about often, like they a team that
just they just don't They're not talked about very often.
I don't know why that is, Maybe because they're just
sort of in the desert and in the West Coast
and no one really is paying attention to then. But yes,
they've that's been sort of an issue for Arizona for
a long time. Does no one given him the love?
Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
Yeah, no doubt about that, all right? That Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran Bill Krackenberger with us from crackwins
dot com sports handicapper. I'm Brian no coming up next.
Oh man, this is a great eight matchup. Are we
going to see a team that has a fantastic record
that is not talked about? In Glowing terms. Are we
(01:30:09):
gonna see them get another win?
Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
Here?
Speaker 4 (01:30:12):
I think Jeff knows where we're going on this one.
Speaker 3 (01:30:14):
I really can't see the Chiefs here, buddy, that's what
sounds like.
Speaker 4 (01:30:17):
Yeah, it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented

We've got the Chargers at the Chiefs. Chiefs favored by four.
You know, listen things first, I think a lot of
(01:31:02):
focus is on what the Chiefs don't do well. How
often do you guys hear this right? Like the offense
isn't explosive, they can't win easily, they're lucky. You hear
all those things, and it's like, can we focus on
what they actually do well at some point here? Like
Patrick Mahomes is great, Andy Reid is great, the run
defense has been great all year. When they get Jalen
(01:31:22):
Watson back, who's one of their really good corners, that's
a big deal for their past defense. And for anyone
who's like, wait, wait a minute, is Mahomes great? Yes,
he's great. Okay, he hasn't put up great numbers this year,
but do you count that guy out come playoff time?
Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen have put up great numbers
before in the regular season and have not done so
(01:31:43):
in the playoffs. So if you think that Mahomes isn't
gonna crank it up and be great come playoff time,
I don't know what you're thinking. So I would start
with that for all the noise out there about what
the Chiefs don't do well and how lucky they are,
let's not overlook their strengths along the way here.
Speaker 3 (01:31:59):
Correct and that the strength is that they know how
to win these close games and they know what's needed
at the end to win these games. I think the
problem that they just Travis Kelcey after that game, you
see run up the tunneys pissed. I mean, like they
(01:32:20):
the problem is again, like they just they need to
not let teams back into games. I mean they're up
double digits on the Panthers and Raiders on the beginning
at the very end, and it's just not healthy for
an entire season to do that, you know. So to me,
it's about them just finishing the middle of games better,
not the end of games. They know they can finish
(01:32:41):
the end of the games. It's finishing. It's finishing the
middle of games better, right, like that middle portion of games,
and maybe maybe this weekend is the time to do so.
I just feel like this number is way too low
for the charge. Chargers are not I mean they won
last week in the game, they should win. They always
play the Chiefs, I get it. I guess, well, which
(01:33:01):
is a part of this consideration here. The Chiefs concerns, though,
Brian are their pass defense has been really bad last
couple of weeks. He can't rush the passer, and and
when Watson went out, they haven't really found a second corner,
you know, it's been a problem. So by the way,
Oregon one, Georgia two shocking in the playoff brackets here
they are milking this for every cent from us, like
(01:33:25):
they're like they were explaining, like how the brackets work.
We know how they work, guys. So out of the
Chiefs in this game, mostly the Chargers. If if Lam
McCaughey can't play, which it seems unlikely, is going to
play a little beat up. He had all all of
the yards last weekend for the Chargers. I think no
one besides him had more than eight yards receiving last weekend.
So if he's out, who do you throw the ball to?
(01:33:48):
You know? So I do like the Chiefs in this game, guys.
I don't bet on the Chiefs often, but this feels
like a spot, you know, where where would you like
to take them?
Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
Crack? Oh yeah, you're against all the shock guys, but
someone has to.
Speaker 3 (01:34:01):
You know another Chargers, my friend.
Speaker 2 (01:34:03):
Yeah, no, that that is the reason why I'm not
going to be betting the Chargers. You know, there's reason. Now,
I was leaning to the Chargers for sure plus to
four points, but uh there's there's you know, deciding factor.
And just because it's on TV doesn't mean anything to me.
I'll have props in the game and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (01:34:21):
But three seed, yeah, and the ranked ninth, come on, system.
We gotta get a better system than that.
Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
I was hoping we're gonna get some lines on these games.
Speaker 3 (01:34:31):
I guess they'll have lines out immediately before we went
off him.
Speaker 2 (01:34:35):
So all right, So the Charger game. Another excellent prime
time division battle right here tonight, Chargers Chiefs going ahead
to head. These teams played earlier in the year, Casey
winning seventeen to ten. But if you guys remember, Herbert
was super limited that game with the hurt ankle, so
he seems to be back close to one hundred now,
so it should be a different game in the air
(01:34:55):
for the Chargers. We'll see. The Chargers d has been
pretty good all season. They're only averaging fifteen point seven
points a game on them, which is the best in
the NFL. Actually, it's been great all season, I should say,
and looking at that number. These Chiefs this year, they
just find a way to win. As we know. Even
last week against the Raiders, Vegas gave that one away late.
(01:35:16):
They've now clinched their tenth straight postseason bid. The second
longest streak in NFL history. You're right, there is this
game is a lot of the sharp guys are on
the dog here. But just because it's on TV primetime
game doesn't mean that I'll have a bet on this
game anything more than proposition bets, guys. Going back to
(01:35:36):
what you were just saying about the lines on these
these the tournament here that's coming up. Yes, I'm just
wondering do they come right out with lines on the
games here before we get off fair, because I really
wanted to discuss a couple of them. So we'll see
what happens. We still have another thirty five minutes and
we'll see if we can get some lines up.
Speaker 4 (01:35:58):
They should then absolutely you should.
Speaker 3 (01:36:00):
Yeah, I will say this. I mean teams that are working.
Ninth and twelve get first round by no system that's
gonna last very long.
Speaker 4 (01:36:07):
No, that a good system.
Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
No, not not great.
Speaker 4 (01:36:10):
Boise State ranked ninth pre seed, Arizona State ranked twelve,
four seed get first round by who else?
Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
Like what other? There's no other sport like this, right,
I think it's first round by is to teams that
are ninth and twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:36:24):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
In the sports NFL Cson, Oh, Clemson.
Speaker 4 (01:36:27):
Twelve, Clemson twelfth. Yeah, but yeah, look at the NFL,
the top the top record in each conference, you get
a bye. That's it. That's it.
Speaker 3 (01:36:38):
And then and then they reseed. So if the seven
seed eats the two seed, the seven goes to the
one seed.
Speaker 4 (01:36:43):
Right, you play the lowest seed available if you're the
top seed in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:36:47):
That's the only sport that does that. Basketball. I looked
at basketball. That doesn't do that. Baseball is two doesn't
do it either.
Speaker 4 (01:36:53):
Right right? No, yeah, no, yeah, that's the NFL for you, man.
So what makes it. That's why the regular season matters
even more? Right, Like, if if you're the number one seed,
you not only get a bye, you face the lowest
seed available. Right, so that's advantageous. Let me throw out
this one. We got the Simpsons.
Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
Texas five.
Speaker 4 (01:37:14):
Texas is wow, Texas is fifth? I don't know, yeah,
I like listen Texas. Who have they beaten? Who has
Texas beaten? Exactly? They beat Oklahoma in a and m
(01:37:36):
in Michigan. If you want to throw that out there,
that that win did not age well, that's a you know,
seven and five, it's a five lost Michigan team. I
don't they lost twice to Georgia.
Speaker 3 (01:37:48):
There haven't been a team with I think they beat
like seven of the eight ors SEC teams.
Speaker 4 (01:37:54):
Yeah, it's I okay. Texas is fifth. So Texas is
hosting Clemson.
Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
Yeah, and then the winner gets Arizona State. So I
mean Clemson could be a twelve seed and ended up
in the semi finals.
Speaker 4 (01:38:07):
Yeah, they could, that's it. Yeah, you guys, So no one.
Speaker 3 (01:38:11):
Had Texas, No one had Texas, Clemson and all the
mocks for this system. Wow, I mean that number is
gonna be four, Penn State six.
Speaker 4 (01:38:23):
Yeah, Penn State is the sixth seed. That means the
Irish are going to be seventh, and that.
Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
Means that eight it's gonna be Ohio State. Jeez, they're
gonna have organ Ohio State in a quarterfinal, which is ludicrous,
but it is what it is. You gotta win those
games at some point, right. Yeah, that's so who's eleven
gonna be?
Speaker 4 (01:38:42):
Yeah, it's gonna be so Penn State loses the Big.
Speaker 3 (01:38:44):
Ten championship game, he gets SMU and Boise State of course.
Speaker 4 (01:38:49):
Yeah, that's their plans exactly. Yeah, Notre Dame will get
SMU right, and then they would the winner it face Georgia.
Jeff and I are prognosticating here.
Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
I mean yeah, I mean Notre Dame is probably not
They're not eight, are they? There's no way seven? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:39:12):
Yeah, wow, Well they might not get s m U.
S MU is going to be eleven. So who's Notre
Dame is gonna get IU?
Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
Yeah? Indiana and Indiana battle, all Indiana battle. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:39:22):
Sorry, guys, I'm being quiet here, so I'm scrambling. I
just thought, no, no, no, I thought they'd have line.
I'd be real blunt. I don't know what I was thinking.
Maybe because the NFL is going on and it's thirty
minutes before. I just thought there was gonna be some
lines quickly coming out.
Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
Oh no, we only have one matchup.
Speaker 3 (01:39:39):
We have one matchup. Crack like wait wait seven minutes?
I got it will be Yeah, I could guess. I
think Clemson. I think Texas will be favored by what
do you think six?
Speaker 4 (01:39:49):
Something like that? Yeah, right around a touchdown, I would say,
how much is Notre Dame going to be favored over IU?
Speaker 2 (01:39:58):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
Seven and a half eight? Ohio State's eight. Wow, so
we're gonna have Oregon Ohio State in.
Speaker 4 (01:40:07):
The in the quarterfinal quarterfinals. Wow, who are they taking
on Tennessee?
Speaker 3 (01:40:13):
Probably?
Speaker 2 (01:40:14):
Yeah, yeah, they got Texas Clemson. Is that the one
that's that's there should be a line coming up first.
Speaker 4 (01:40:19):
Yeah, that's the only that's the only one we know.
Speaker 2 (01:40:21):
I'm gonna give it to you. Nine and a half
Texas nine and a half and forty seven and a half.
Speaker 3 (01:40:25):
It's yes, wow a half.
Speaker 2 (01:40:29):
I knew i'd find one. I knew i'd find it.
Nine and a half. Boy, I tell you give me
Clemson plus ten minus twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:40:36):
Yeah, yeah, I'm with you on that, Jesus. I trusted
technical producer Chris Burfett has something.
Speaker 6 (01:40:43):
This just struck me as we were talking about the
Indiana home game in g Are we looking at a
snow game in South Bend?
Speaker 2 (01:40:51):
Oh? How fun they'd be in college football?
Speaker 4 (01:40:54):
Good, my mom, they will be. They got eight inches
of snow the other day. Oh my oh it's happening. Yeah,
could absolutely be a snow game. Wouldn't be surprised at
all if that's the case. Okay, so I guess the spread. Yeah,
Tennessee against Ohio State. What do you think Nico Yama
(01:41:16):
Leava like Tennessee was out of the playoff, another back in,
Like I It's it's crazy how the twisting turns, like,
oh Miss should be in this thing. I'm not saying
they got screwed. They they basically screwed themselves. They were
in and they just had to beat Florida and they
couldn't do it. Miami was in, they just had to
(01:41:36):
beat Syracuse. They couldn't do it, right, Like, some of
these teams were right there and they just could not
complete it. And Tennessee sneaks back in.
Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
So so we're looking at like essentially, I mean, I'm
picking Texas. I mean, jeez, so Texas will end up
being a semi final team the winner of probably Ohio State.
I'm just no guarantee host that wins that game. I
think they're gonna win, but Ohised Oregon and then Penn
State will be a favorite to come out of outside.
(01:42:08):
They'll be fair to beat Boise State and know and
then Georgia I guess I mean Notre Dame Georgia will
be fun.
Speaker 4 (01:42:15):
Yeah, right, what's Carson Beck's status for that game?
Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
Game?
Speaker 4 (01:42:20):
Assuming Notre Dame wins, right, Yeah, is this going to
be Georgia's backup throughout the playoff very well could be
Carson Beck didn't blame in the second at well. I
had one handoff in the second half, but trying to
throw a hail Mary at the end of the first
half and whatever hurt his shoulder, hurt something.
Speaker 3 (01:42:38):
Indiana, Indiana, Notre Dame, yep. I I would put lots
of moneys on on a note Dame in that game.
Speaker 4 (01:42:46):
That's what I like to hear.
Speaker 2 (01:42:47):
Can we get Ohio State minus seven?
Speaker 4 (01:42:52):
It's crazy minus seven?
Speaker 2 (01:42:53):
Okay, that's that's what we kind of kind of guess.
Speaker 4 (01:42:56):
What's your guest for I you at Notre Dame, crack
how much you think Notre Dame's favored by man?
Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
I tell you what I'd like to know, if that
if that weather's gone and I never even put that
into the equation, right Jesus, have you been to one
of those snowy games?
Speaker 4 (01:43:11):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (01:43:11):
Yes, that's what I just I said. I put a
tweet up last week. That's what I want to do.
I just want to go to one Ice Bowl. That's
all I want. I want something like that.
Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
I'll give you a quick story. So it was nineteen
ninety two Notre Dame beat Penn State. I think it
was seventeen to sixteen. It was a snowy game. There
was a goal line stand. There's a famous poster. It
was like Jeff Burris and Notre Dame jumped up and
it might have been Nick Anderson was the Penn State
running back. He got met at the goal line and
so it was a Notre Dame poster for a long time.
(01:43:42):
But Notre Dame, I'll never forget. Drome Betta scored a touchdown.
Rick Meyer hit Reggie Brooks on a two point conversion
to win the game. They were supposed to film Rudy
that day, oh, but it was snowing so much. And
the other one was I went to the game with
my mom. It was a cold day obviously, and there
are people in front of us. My mom was like, man,
(01:44:02):
it's so cold. I'm like, yeah, it was really cold.
The people in front of us left so we could
put our feet on the benches in front of us.
So that was always a memory from that game. But
dramatic win for the Irish in ninety two against Penn State,
Oh my god. So yeah, and that was earlier like
in the calendar. So yeah, that was snowing that I
could absolutely be snowing in this game against IU, and.
Speaker 2 (01:44:25):
We just take a trip back.
Speaker 4 (01:44:27):
You all want to go there?
Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
You? Oh man, I love to go.
Speaker 4 (01:44:30):
Have you ever been Jeff Notre Dame? You ever thought
to a game? What do you think? Road trip? We
do the show on the road.
Speaker 3 (01:44:37):
I will be I will be in Utah on the
family trips. That's not gonna happen. It will maybe at
some point.
Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
He's gonna be cold comfound. Yeah, you're gonna cobot.
Speaker 4 (01:44:46):
You say, honey, I'm canceling the family trip. I gotta
go meet Crack and Brian Bend for the the IU
Notre Dame game. How do you think that would go down.
Speaker 3 (01:44:56):
Very much longer?
Speaker 2 (01:44:57):
I'll tell you that probably not could.
Speaker 4 (01:45:00):
All right, we got all the matchups and SMU at
Penn State to help us with that and everything else.
NFL wise, let's work Isaac Loehenkron into the conversation here.
I low you want to go with us too. We're
all going to South Bend to watch I.
Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
You Notre Dame.
Speaker 4 (01:45:17):
You're invited.
Speaker 2 (01:45:18):
You know this is a true story.
Speaker 6 (01:45:19):
Best pizza I've ever had in my entire life was
in the press box at Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (01:45:27):
Foh yes, oh my god, wow, wow, very nice.
Speaker 6 (01:45:33):
Well I was gonna invite you too, but Jeeves, now
that you hear, I recind my invitation. But indeed, the
twelve team college football playoff bracket has been revealed. Will
summarize it here. Oregon number one, Georgia number two, Texas third,
Penn State, number four, Notre Dame, fifth, Ohio State, sixth,
(01:45:56):
Tennessee was seventh, Indiana number eight. Boy is the nine
seed SMU, the ten seed Arizona State is the twelve seed.
Speaker 1 (01:46:08):
And Clemson.
Speaker 6 (01:46:09):
Excuse me, Arizona State is the eleven seed and Clemson
is the twelve seeds. So here are your first round matchups.
You have the twelve seed Clemson visiting five seed Texas.
You have eight seed Ohio State hosting nine seed Tennessee.
You have six seed Penn State hosting eleven seed SMU.
(01:46:30):
The winner of that plays Boise State in the quarterfinals.
Then you have the seven seed Notre Dame hosting Indiana.
The winner of that game takes on Georgia in the quarterfinals.
As far as who will face the winners of the
other quarterfinals, you have Oregon against the Ohio State Tennessee
winner and then Arizona State against the Texas Clemson winner.
(01:46:52):
So of course this means that Alabama did not make
the twelve team field. Also trending right now fellas of
criticism about the selection show and the fact that it
took twenty two minutes from the start of the selection show,
including multiple probiotic commercials, before beginning to reveal any of
(01:47:15):
the teams. Some of the feedback Vince posting on social
media and I quote, bleep off with this bleep bleep
show just announce the bleeping teams. Sal posting milking this
bleeping cow for four hours. Vfl smack posting they could
run a dairy farm the way they're milking this. And
(01:47:37):
finally crafty observing craft a Lee, I might add, it
shouldn't take more than thirty minutes to reveal twelve teams
in a playoff in March. They can get sixty four
plus basketball teams revealed in thirty minutes. In the NFL,
Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens is inactive today against the
Cleveland Browns due to a hamstring energy. In the NBA,
(01:47:57):
ESPN reported a short time ago that Brandon Ingram of
the New Orleans Pelicans will be sidelined indefinitely due to
a significant low ankle spring. Guys, that's what's trending back.
Speaker 4 (01:48:08):
To you, Thank you, I low. It is Fox Sports

our podcast will be going up. If you missed anything

(01:48:29):
the year. Okay, so we've got the playoff field. It's funny,
right like it feels to me. I don't know if
you guys feel like this. I just shifted over to
my college football bran. Yeah, it's like, holy we got
kickoff coming up here in twenty two minutes in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:48:45):
You got sorry about the Notre Dame line. Notre Dame
nine and a half, by the way, there it is.
Speaker 3 (01:48:51):
It is kind of stunning that the number one team
in the country has the hardest path of any team
to win a championship. The whole thing by game odds? Okay,
by what? Just assuming who? Oregon have to play Ohio State,
who is the third favorite to win the championship. Texas
is tied with Ohio State. They have to play Texas
next and then Georgia three straight games against those teams,
(01:49:14):
which seems unlikely to win all three of those. Is
not gonna lie it's Oregon fan. That feels like a
pretty tough task.
Speaker 4 (01:49:19):
What do you think the chances are that will be
the path?
Speaker 3 (01:49:22):
Right now?
Speaker 4 (01:49:23):
You think Georgia would be the team they would face
in the semi finals?
Speaker 3 (01:49:26):
I mean, no, they'd be the finals.
Speaker 4 (01:49:29):
It would be the final, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:49:30):
I mean, I guess it depends on back, right, I mean, look,
it's a weird year. Certainly upsets can happen. Like, are
we certain Arizona State loses to Texas? No, I'm not,
But you know upsets have happened.
Speaker 4 (01:49:42):
You know, sure, absolutely they have. Okay, how about any
line movement that stands out to you. We've seen a
decent amount of line movement Week fourteen to the NFL
where a couple of the hooks have dried up, right,
no more three and a half in the Bears.
Speaker 2 (01:49:59):
Yeah, that's a big one.
Speaker 4 (01:50:01):
Niners game. No more hook in the Jacksonville, Tennessee game.
Right it's now three Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
Yep, there's been some moves for sure, and these dogs
have been hit also Cleveland uh plus seven earlier in
the week, the Jets plus seven, which even today there
was a couple plus seven dog money in there there.
They've dried up, So some of these dogs have have
dried up. But also the big move I would think though, Uh,
(01:50:29):
one of the big moves is there the Chicago These
are all underdogs, Chicago versus San Franz, the Rams versus Buffalo.
Surprised there wasn't any movement, maybe because it's a primetime
game on the Chargers Kansas City. It's still at a
pretty much solid four everywhere including bet MGM. So yeah,
a lot of a lot of dog money this week.
So that kind of scares me. That means, uh, you know,
(01:50:53):
you never know what could happen here. The public, uh
may jump on these favorites and and and cash with
a couple of these key numbers. You know. Of course
he ruther lay three than three and a half or four,
So there's a lot of situations that can lay and
get half a point to a point to a full
point better, especially around the key numbers of three and seven.
I just mentioned some other games that were seven that
(01:51:14):
are now down to five and a half, six, six
and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:51:17):
So yeah, Eagles up to fourteen point favorites, solid, solid, Yeah.
Christian from bed MGM first hour, he said that was
going to be happening, and he's right, obviously, Jeff, did
you mention in passing you like the Giants outright? Did
you say that?
Speaker 3 (01:51:33):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:51:33):
I like him to cover to cover, gotcha.
Speaker 3 (01:51:36):
I will say so. Derek Carr last sixteen games of
the road favorite covering one fourteen and one.
Speaker 2 (01:51:46):
Jesus, Mary and Joseph's.
Speaker 3 (01:51:48):
Lifetime thirty seven percent. Okay, so not great, not great.
Speaker 4 (01:51:53):
I saw a number an Taysom Hill.
Speaker 3 (01:51:55):
And I are when when the Saints or when Derek
Carr faced the team that allows over twenty one points
a game, he's actually really bad. He's only cover thirty
seven percent of those games. Percent of those games when
face the team that allows twenty one points or less,
he plays much better. So this plays up and down
the teams, down the Giants. Milik neighbors a little beat up,
No Dexter Lawrence I mean they're not a good place
(01:52:16):
Saints are outside though with no Taysom Hill seems like, uh,
i'd really tough spot for the Saints.
Speaker 4 (01:52:23):
Interesting, Okay, we'll find out if that's one of your
five plays here in the Crack Challenge. Right around the
corner looking forward to that. He's Jeff Schwartz, eight year
NFL veteran Bill Krackenberger with us from crackwins dot com
sports handicapper. I'm Brian No. Coming up next to the
Moment of Truth, Picks Galore, Crack Challenge, Rapid Fire Cracks
Play the Day. If you need picks, if you think
(01:52:44):
about getting some late action on these games, you definitely
want to pay attention to this next one coming up here.

All Right, we got some picks to make. Let's do it.
Speaker 3 (01:53:45):
Time games against the spread.
Speaker 2 (01:53:49):
We call it, call it the Crack Challenge.
Speaker 4 (01:53:53):
Alrighty, we start with you, Jeff. What do you like
in the crack Challenge?
Speaker 2 (01:53:56):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:53:57):
You got my notes from earlier this week, because again
I give you most of this saying picks I've already
taken and different things I've done this week. Okay, give
me the Browns are at six, now I'll take. I'll
still I'm fine with the Browns plus six, Giants plus
five and a half. Let's see your Rams plus three
and a half. Give me Chiefs minus four you mean
(01:54:18):
Bears plus the three. So those are my my picks
right there.
Speaker 4 (01:54:24):
Here you go, all right, four underdogs. Dogs are barking
except for the Chiefs. Yes, let me see what am
I with you on? I'm with you on the Rams.
I'll take them plus three and a half. I just
don't love the spot for Buffalo. We talked about it.
They're doing snow Angels last week. They're going across the
country this week. Sandwich spot with the Lions. Next with you,
(01:54:44):
yea yeah, I'm on the Bears as well. Plus three.
This Niners team, yeah, I worry. This is their season
on the line, but they're so absolutely decimated by injury.
I'll take the points. Sorry, I'll take the points in
a matchup like that, I'm gonna lay it with Minnesota
minus five and a half. I just don't like the
(01:55:06):
matchup for Atlanta. You've got the number one defense in
terms of interceptions this season in Minnesota, and Kirk Cousins
is an interception machine right now. Minnesota's number four in
sacks that can push the pocket. I just Kirk Cousins
isn't healthy, So give me Minnesota minus five and a half.
I'll take also Cincinnati minus five and a half. I
(01:55:27):
don't like laying it on the road, but again due
the math since he's defense sucks, I get it, but
a primetime spot Ceedee Lamb was banged up, didn't play
in the second half with that az joint. I just
think Joe Burrows had an MVP caliber season. He's not
gonna win it, obviously, but I just don't know that
Cooper Rush, even against the sucky defense, is gonna be
(01:55:48):
able to match points. I'm gonna I'll lay it with Cincinnati, yeah,
and last one, I'll go with Seattle plus three. I
think it's gonna be a close game. Seattle got the
best of them a couple of weeks ago, and I
just think it's it's one of those like in doubt,
(01:56:09):
just just go with Crack, you know what I mean? Like,
I just want to crack bits earlier. You did this
last week the same team. Coincidentally, Jeff Right, you had Seattle, yeah,
plus the points at New York at the Jets and
that worked out. So hey, maybe a Leonard Williams pick
six for ninety two yards this week as well, that'd
be nice. Have we got more picks to make?
Speaker 2 (01:56:28):
Let's do this.
Speaker 4 (01:56:33):
Rapid fire, all right, Crack, what's something you like today.
Speaker 2 (01:56:37):
Man Rock Purty under two hundred and twenty five and
a half passing yards. I'm still not convinced he's one
hundred percent healthy, So let's go under on Purdy's passing yards.
All right?
Speaker 4 (01:56:49):
Anything else you want to add here, Jeff?
Speaker 3 (01:56:52):
Can you have a college football wager? Quickly?
Speaker 2 (01:56:55):
For it?
Speaker 3 (01:56:55):
I think Georgia to win the championship is the best
odds if you're looking to place for a you know
someone to win the Culture Bold Championship if you look
at the way the brackets set up. I mean again,
no offense, Brian to your Irish, but their path is
the easiest of all the four seeds to have a buy.
If Carson Beck is healthy, Texas would be up there
(01:57:16):
as well. Oh Houston and Oregon have a brutal path.
They either have to Hoistin's gonna play Tennessee, Oregon, Texas
and Georgia most likely if they get through that path
right again, favorites win. Oregan's got Ohio State, Texas and Georgia.
Georgia does not have the same schedule as the other
teams do, so I think Georgia to win the championship.
Even Penn State. I mean, you're gonna have. You know,
(01:57:39):
we get SMU and Boise State and you get Georgia,
so I think those are the best odds.
Speaker 4 (01:57:44):
Okay, like it. I'm gonna go with Browns running back
today Jerome Ford over six and a half rushing attempts.
They haven't been giving it to Nick Chubb a ton
and also George Pickens out. I think this helps the
Browns odds if to keep it closer. They're not getting
both raced and a little bit more rushing script here.
All right, let's get to this.
Speaker 3 (01:58:07):
This is the best player of the dayown.
Speaker 4 (01:58:11):
Okay, crack the best say for last? What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (01:58:14):
I like doing this kind of things in situations like
this Buffalo Rams game. Bet MGM. You go to scoring
props shortest touchdown under one and a half minus one
p fifty five always googling is a big total lot
of scoring under one and a half yards.
Speaker 4 (01:58:27):
Okay, all right, everybody, enjoy Week fourteen.
