the birthday boy. Only a week late, Only a week
late for myself. Last week, Carrie and I sat in
here on Fox Sports Radio for a good three hours.
For whatever reason it was, Carrie, I didn't remember that
it was your birthday.

And then all of a sudden, I see on social
media what a great birthday week it was, and I'm like,
oh my goodness, it was Carrie Rhodes birthday.

You said nothing about it, uh huh, And I feel awful.
I hope America knows. They should know my faults. Listen,
I don't know when Isaac's birthday is. I don't know
when Chris is, I don't know when Garrett's, our executive
producer is. But I knew when yours was and it
did not register in my mind. And we did a
whole show last Sunday and I never said anything. I

never made I didn't make a reference to it at all.
I found out the day after that it was his birthday.
Happy birthday, My apologies to you. So we celebrate Carrie Rhodes,
who is another year and a week older.

it's one of those things where it's kind of not

like let it go and it's not a big deal.
I know how much you appreciate me.

own birthday because I'm the only adult male who still
tells everyone, like you said, nobody does that. I do

can't not help telling them it's my birthday. It's not
that I like getting another year older. I'm just like, yo,
it's my day. Today's my day. So I apologize, and

a happy birthday to you. A week late. It was
the day for five Hall of Famers yesterday. These are
your peers, most of them. I know you didn't play
with Roger Craig, but like you were a teammate with
Larry Fitzgerald in Arizona. You see him going to the
Hall of Fame. You see Drew Brees go into the
Hall of Fame, Louke Keickley goes into the Hall of
Fame at a very very young age. You're watching your

peers now get that gold jacket. What are your emotions
and specifically, how do you feel when someone that you
played with, that you shared a locker room with, goes
in the camp.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Man, this is the second time I've had somebody that
I played with the go Darrell Reebis went in as well,
one of my proteges, and so to see him go
in it was special.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Obviously. Larry Fitzgerald is a just a special human.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
He's one of those guys where when I got traded
to Arizona, he was the first one I reached out.
He was like, YO, come stay with me. So I
stayed at this house until I found my place. So
I know him really well. We've had great talks, We've
had great communication and just love man. He's a goofball too,
Like I don't know if a lot of people know
that about him. Obviously they know he's a great player,

but he's a football guy through and through, and like
when those guys and Darrell Reeves too, it's funny like
those guys who are football guys through and through that
actually maximize their talent and you get to see them
get validated for it. I mean, we know how good
of a receiver he is, that's a no brainer, but
just a better human and really really love the game,
So it's it's well deserved. And you know the other

guys like Luke, I mean obviously a baller and didn't
know him close up, but he's I mean watching them play,
he played the position the right way and really cared
about the game right. And I think that's a common
thread with most of those guys that get that go
to the Hall of Fame, Right, this is what they
this is what they live, breathed, drink and obviously good
fortune comes into play as well. But yeah, to see

them guys get in, even Roger Craig, I was one
of his biggest fans as a kid. I was a
forty nine er fan as a kid, So it's just
kind of it was a big deal for me to
see those guys get in and be happy and share
their stories because it's it's a long journey.

His speech that he did of the video was really
emotional and they caught many people off guard, including myself,
and revealing that he is dealing suffering from a vascular
dementia and that was the reason why he also did
the video. But it was moving and your point about
Larry Fitzgerald. We're gonna hear from Fitzgerald in just a
second and a part of his speech there are I

think that you as an athlete.

Sometimes.

I shouldn't say sometimes, I think a lot of the
times because we just don't know who you guys are.
We see who you are, We see who you are
in appearances. Maybe we see in a commercial, maybe we
see in a TV show or in a movie, and
you think that you actually know who the person is.
Larry Fitzgerald seems like one of those guys where I
feel like we do know who he is because he

is such a good guy. The jury may be out
on ninety five percent of other athletes, but there's like
a five percent group where I feel like we know
that that person is a good guy, and I feel
that that's Larry Fitzgerald.

He is, like I said, man, I mean everybody once
I got there, just the comfortability that I felt he's
the captain of the team. I mean there's other captains.
It's four of them, right, but you know it's Larry's.
It's Larry's team, so you kind of walk into that
spot and again he welcomed you in.

From the moment, Goo and yeah, just get ready to go.

And it's such a humbling but also like a comforting
feeling to have a guy like that at the top.

And he made reference to this speech yesterday that Emmitt
Smith was that guy for him, that Emitt in his
final couple of years of his career obviously played in Arizona,
and Larry Fitzgerald came in and said, as a twenty
year old, Emmitt Smith was there with open arms and
always there to answer any questions. And so he gave
props to Emmitt Smith and obviously then carried that out

through his career. Here's a bit from what Larry Fitzgerald
had to say at his Hall of Fame speech yesterday
in Campton. So are we saying you're retired?

Is that what we're doing here?

I mean, I'm not committed to retirement, I understand.

Not on a serious note with that though, why has
that been.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
So important of a thing for you to kind of
have this be more like a metamorphosis rather than a
retirement and then Hall of Fame, endgame type thing.

Yeah.

So when I was a kid, my grandfather, I remember
hearing him have a conversation with his good friend John Strojers,
who was the park commissioner in Chicago. They played together
at Xavier College football in the forties, and I remember
them talking about retirement killing more people in our country
than anything, and so that always stuck with me. And

so I just don't believe in retirement. I just think
you transitioned into different phases, especially as an athlete.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
I got done playing at thirty eight.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
Retire? What do you mean retire? No, there's no retirement
in sight. And so I don't know. I just I
protest the word more than the actual thing.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
So I just won't. I just won't acknowledge that you
earned it.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
That was Larry Fitzgerald of the press conference ports not
from the speech yesterday, but we talked a lot about
your decision to retire.

It.

Your decision was different than a lot of others. Already
doesn't even make a decision. He just says, I'm not retiring,
It's not gonna happen. I thought that's interesting because He's
talked about this time, you know, time and again, and
I thought maybe that this was gonna be the opportunity.
And still know he's sticking to his guns. It's not
gonna happen. There will be no retire.

He's not gonna He's not gonna change that. And the
greatest part about Dan Meyer quote unquote retire. And I
didn't say that either. I didn't make that a public thing.
I didn't go back and try to retire, to retire
with the Jets for one game, Like a lot of people,
I could have done that, but for me.

It's kind of the same thing. It's this isn't the end.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
And I know exactly what he's talking about, the feeling
of like it's done, you know what I mean, like
you're done retired. I mean, even just in our world, right,
retired means you're you're done with everything else. And it
seems like that's almost like your permission to just go
downhill and just walk into the sunset. That's that's not
the mentality that he has or I have, so to

hear that, it's it's it's it's actually funny to.

Hear you guys want them the same.

Now we look ahead the next year's class, where there
are some big names up for Enshrinemn. Not that Larry
Fitzgerald and Drew Brees aren't there. That just continues because
of the generation of play, especially in that quarterback sort
of generation. Brees obviously first time are in, Fitzgerald first
time in next year. I think you have three automatics.

I think Gronk is in first year, Adrian Peterson is in,
and I do think Ben Roethlisberger gets in the first ballot.
There may be some question there's holdovers from others, but
when you look at twenty twenty seven and who gets
in and who can be first ballot, there are going
to be five spots that are available. The Pro Football

Hall of Fame Selection Committee over the last couple of
years has been a little bit tighter in terms of
who they've let in. Heck didn't let Bill Belichick in
and the coaches portion of the voting. But I do
think that when you look at the players that are available,
and there are great players that didn't make this year's
class that are as eligible next year, but for the

first timers, I think that those three are absolute automatics.

You do.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
I think Adrian Peterson and Rob Gronkowski for sure, Ben
Ben and Eli. To me, obviously it won't. Oh yeah,
I mean Ben and Eli a kind of. I mean,
I know Ben had more moments doing the regular season.
But if you put the numbers together, two super Bowls
a piece, and you know, two super Bowl MVP, I
know it's.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Gonna be good. Those are the only place that they're close.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Yeah, I know, and I've played against them both, and
I know that there's I know more people think a
little bit more highly than Ben Roethlisberger.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
But what I mean, why why do you say that? Listen?

Speaker 1 (09:41):
I think that there's a something interesting with Roethlisberger. And
as a Seahawks fan, I still hold a grudge from
super Bowl forty in a super Bowl that I don't
think that the Steelers should have won. Roethlisberger wasn't great
in that game, but he didn't lose super Bowl forty
five like they lose that game because Richard Mendon fumbles.
So like, there's another super Bowl for Ben Roethlisberger where

Ben Roethlisberger performed, and I do think that he was
the shoulders of the Pittsburgh Steelers in that post era
continued to carry them. I know there's the you know,
Troy paulam ALUs of the world. We know about the receivers.
Antonio Brown, by the way, the first time, but I think.

He won't get in.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
No, he will not that I could guarantee there will
not be an Antonio Brown on the States next year
in Canton. First year Roethlisberger stats stack up.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah.

The other point that I looked up, and this is
something interesting because I was looking at Eli's numbers and
I was looking at what Eli did and one season
Eli ended up leading the league in game winning drives
and Eli ended up having thirty seven game winning drives
in his NFL career. Ben Roethlisberger has fifty three. Yes,
that was something to me. That was well, Brady's number

one with fifty eight he had manning second, and Roethlisberger
tied at fifty three apiece. And I think that comes
on that that goes on the quarterback shoulders. It's not
the only stat, but it was a stat that made
me think, Wow, if I'm going to prop up Eli,
because I thought that Eli was good in the clutch,
and obviously we saw him perform in Super Bowls and

make one of the plays of the of all the
Super Bowls that we remember. But I feel that Roethlisberger's
numbers clearly lap Eli Manning, and I do feel that
there is a Steelers factor to that. And the next year,
Tom Brady goes in, and I don't think you're going
to team up Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger and make

him away, which is the other reason why I don't
think Eli Manning gets in next year, and I don't
think Eli Manning gets in in twenty twenty eight. How
in the world are you going to do that to
Tom Brady, to put Eli Manning in the same Hall
of Fame class for the guy that beat you in
his in Eli's two Super Bowls. So when you just
look at the class structure of how it set up,
I think I like Roethlisberger. I know, veering a little

bit from the initial point of who's the automatic, but yeah,
I think that I think that Ben Roethlisberger. You may
like him, you may not like him, but I think
no brainer on the field that he should be a
first ballot Hall of Famer.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
And Big Ben's been been good since Miami. I mean,
uh right, yeah, we played we played them. My I
think my sophomore junior year and he was it was
the year he was leaving, and we played him there
and I was like, this dude is unreal. Like you
could already tell he had that that thing, and then
you get to you go to an organization like Pittsburgh

and have the success that he had. Obviously that factors
into it. And I mean he he had a lot
of great moments in Pittsburgh as well. Man, But it's
one of those things where me playing against those guys,
both of them quite a bit, there's moments where Ben's
and most a lot of guys, they're kind of normal, right,
And so that weighs in on me more than.

You think.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
He's a compiler, little members just added up a little bit,
a little bit even though he was really good.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Would I say that he is a first ballot Hall
of Famer? I just don't know. And so I think
that that comes in.

So what did Ben Roethlisberger do that other quarterbacks did?
Like what did what did Brady do? Or what did
Manning do?

Well?

Speaker 3 (13:18):
I think Ben Roethlisberger got by got by off his
size and his ability to not be sacked.

Right.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
So that's a skill set, right, that's something that he
was was was blessed to have God given but he
used it to the best of visibility. Right, He's not
a better diagnoser of the game than any of those guys.
He's not a guy that he's going to be on
time all the time, will make the right reads. It's
just his physical attributes where he's on the team that's
really good, and he's really good, and all those things

added up in you know, them having success. But it's
it's more than just you know, as as fan, you
watch it and you see all the big players, you're like,
ah Ben's great, but during the game, he just it's not.

It's not as smooth or appealing to lie.

I honestly feel to keep this in the house of
the Pittsburgh Steelers. You're making the same argument that I
make against Jerome Bettis because I'd look at other running
backs in the National Football League, guys who did two
things at one time, and that's catching and receiving.

The names that I bring up are.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Tiki Barber, Ricky Waters, Warwick, Dunn, Fred Taylor, guys who
were multifaceted, not Marshall Fulk but still like and what's
being held against them is they did that when Jerome
Bettis was a one trick pony. Not to be disrespectful,
but that's all that he did. But I think Jerome
Bettis got a boost because he's a Pittsburgh Steeler and

because he won a Super Bowl that they shouldn't have won.
But like those those things help, and I think that
all of that behind Ben Roethlisberger's numbers make him a
Hall of Fame through for fifty one hundred yards.

Yeah, yeah, sure, sure, that's what I'm saying. I'm not
trying to not saying, but it's interesting.

That that rot like you didn't go into a game plan.
I don't want to say sweating Ben Roethlisberg. You obviously
had to be concerned, yes, but it didn't seem like
there was a point where you just kind of threw
up your hands. No, never, never as you throw up
your hands with who did I throw my hands up with?

Obviously Brady because he was so cerebral, and the same
with Peyton Early, like you're like, okay, this is crazy,
Like yeah, if you make a mistake, he's going to
make you pay.

So it's it's only a few Dan.

That's why the Hall of Fame is a little weird
to me too, because you know some guys get into
You're like okay, and you know that they're gonna get
in because there's success. But he like, uh, yeah, it's
that's a little bit of a system thing.

What about what about Cam Newton, he's up for enshrinement.
No I didn't think so okay, Richard Sherman, he's going
to get he's going to get in.

I don't know my first time. No, yeah, I don't
know about that.

Here's the thing about Sherman, and I truly feel this
like the best, the best piece of the lead of Boom,
and it was it's really three of them because he
had a couple.

He had Brandon.

Browner that start out at corner and then and then
he ended up exiting, and then Byron Maxwell came in.
Of the three of Sherman, Cam Chancellor and Earl Thomas.
Earl Thomas to me, was the one who stirred the drink,
but Cam would knock your block off. And Sherman was
was really good. Yeah, he was also so loud, but
you didn't hear much from Earl Thomas. And and so

like when I think of like the legion of Boom,
I think we think Richard Sherman cam Chancer when Earl Thomas.

I think was the key of all of it. I'm sure.

I'm sure Earl Walls for sure he was. He was
the leader back there. But cam Chancer is my guy
as well out of that secondary for sure.

And this, by the way, in addition to the guys
that didn't make it, Frank Gore. Do you think Frank
Gorre should be in the Hall of Fame? Not really,
he had long a great career, long career, but you know, yeah,
I don't think Jason Witten he will get in. Yes,
he didn't get in this time. He has an opportunity
to Tory Holt. He needs to get in, Okay, I
believe he does.

Yeah, that team we talked about Ben Roethlisberger or some
of these guys getting in, right. The success that that
team had, it was he was the second guy on
that team.

Well, nah, he's the third guy on that team, right,
Marshall Falkin, Isaac Bruceni.

Yes, but still he like he had his he did,

who's also knocking on the door. Right, Yeah, there's so
there's there's a little back, but that's okay. I'd rather
have this than they They threw twenty guys in like
one year because of COVID, like just a bunch of
like they cleared the slate, and then now they're kind
of being a little bit more prickly. And I think

Dean Sanders is the one that kind of started the
conversation in saying like, is this like the Hall of
Good or there should be another level of the Hall
of Fame? And I think some of the voters have
taken the responsibility of that.

But I still think that.

Roethlisberger's numbers, who he is, who he played for, what
they accomplished as a team, I think gets him in
next year. And I just don't think you put him
with Eli. And there's no way you can put Ela
in in twenty twenty eight. JJ wats eligible in twenty

He runs the longest practices in the National Football League.
They're two and a half to three hours, and they're long.
He loves doing it and the heat. And by the way,
they will not move it up like the Eagles, by
the way on Saturday move their practice up at half
an hour because of the heat.

This harball least. John does not believe in that, and
it's no complaints. So from what I've heard, though, balance
with you.

You know, that's the thing, Adam. Right now, you got
a new head coach in He's going to implement his
way of doing things, and if the success happens, then
it's all good. But if it doesn't, then that's when
you hear the murmurs. Right like out of his exit
with Baltimore, and you saw players starting to complain about
the way the practices were there and the injuries that
occurred because of it. They think, So, do you believe

in head coaches implementing their style once they get to
a new place, which I do, Or do you believe
that you have to acquiesce a little bit to fit
certain teams and adjust.

Carry just my experience in twenty seven years, there's got
to be both. You have to be here who you
are as a coach, like Andy Reid when he came
into Philly, because they were just a loser before he
got there. He came in with extreme discipline and harball
is I don't want to say soften up over the years,
but he's been more of a player's coach. He's gotten
a little bit closer to his players, talking to agents

who have a players.

Who players with the Ravens.

So now you can't just be super hard on players
because at some point, like you have to read the room, Carrie,
like I'll give you an example. When Matt Patricia Yep
became the Lions head coach at twenty eighteen.

I was at a joint practice in Napa with the Raiders.

on your point, Carry, the players couldn't stand up. For
the most part, couldn't stand him because it was he
was just trying to set example. But he didn't understand
like this, you can't be Bill Belichick, got to be yourself,
and that was he was not himself, Patricia, That's why

lose a top three left tackle on Laramie Tunsul for most,
if not all, the regular season. And right now my
understanding is probably gonna be Brandon Coleman, number seventy four,
who started his career two years ago in twenty four.

they drafted Josh Connolly, was phenomenal last season, eight their

is temporarily going to move Coleman over there.

more on a yearly basis than Larmie Tunzel does. And

it comes to the WNB is leadership. Obviously, if there's
a real true direction of what you want your league
to be and where you're heading and what you're trying
to accomplish, I don't think I don't think the US
commoners or or observers of that game knows what they're
trying to do. Like what is what's the package? Obviously

you have star players, we have really good players. They
have players that we actually know by name. So if
you have players that we know by name, why wouldn't
you highlight those guys? More to bring more attention to
your league. Also, I mean, obviously we've seen it. We
know an NBA, right, we even if we don't like
certain star players, and we know that they're going to
get favoritism here and there to kind of boaster that

and boaster who they are. We've seen it, We know
that happened. So why wouldn't you cater a little bit
toward the stars of your game to elevate the game
and so and then we talked about a few weeks back.
The leadership aspect of it is, if you got interview
to do to support the game and to further along
bring the game along, you you do those and you
hold on to those and make it make an effort

to make that a thing. And so number one is
the leadership. And that's the thing I look for to most.
I mean other things are big as well, but I
think their ancillary to that.

the leadership, but like at some point these players have

should be like other avenues that are develop a new
league where you can just kind of do what you want.
But to not have any growth and to tweet white
privilege after you're the one dishing out the flagrant foul
that got you kicked out of the game, to me

the transition from being a male to a female that's

are averaging scoring twenty points a game and having twenty

up of like would you ever want to play in

the WNBA? And then we've got the whole conversation here
of whether male should be playing in female sports. So
it ends up having that sort of conversation.

think for what the Ennis Kanter and his freedom and
Royce White and Clay Travis are doing are just shining
another spotlight on a gap that the WNBA has not filled.

decision made, which to me goes back to your point

about the leadership of That's what makes it. That makes
it even worse that you don't even have a plan
or an understanding of what you would do.

with this situation, you would have hoped it would have
been the WNBA. Not only has it not been addressed,
and if they not come up with a policy that,
by the way, could be a policy that other schools
and colleges end up following themselves, they could have been

a trailblazer. Not only do they not have a policy,
they apparently didn't even think about it exactly so much
so that they have to call an emergency, meaning about
something that people have been talking about for years. Yes,
and so that is that's the I feel at times
it's a cop out when we're just like WNBA, bad leadership,

get a new commissioner. But now more and more it
ends up to your point of it, just the foundation
of it. It just gets worse and worse, and it
is the leadership. Yeah, and you know the leaders Like
do I think that the leadership should have stepped in
and protected Caitlin Clark. I think they could have done
a better job of it, for sure. Do they need
to step in and protect Sophie Cunningham or maybe maybe not.

But for them to not even be prepared for a
conversation like this, that would be an entity that I
think that we could find guidance from an understanding of that.
There would be an understanding maybe within that community, of
what is needed and what isn't needed. I don't have
the answers, I'm not necessarily familiar with it. I would
look to the w NBA to provide that for us

and for them to be like, we don't even have
a policy. That's what I think they're shining the light on.
And their intentions may be different, right there may intentions
maybe just and may not be just. But it's the
point of the WNBA as to have an emergency meeting
to your point and send out a tweet. We're gonna
add this to the agenda coming up for a monthly meeting.
You like, that's that's ridiculous that it came to that point,

ran off the list of teams that he coached growing
up in Wisconsin. He was the first coach of the
Milwaukee Bucks that that I remember and that I knew,

(01:12:25):
and he would always wear the fish ties where the
you know, the tie was of a fish.

Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
And yeah, was was a character.

Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
And I know he tried to straighten things out, you know,
with the Mavericks, but he coached some really good teams.
But I also think that his personality was such that
maybe he didn't even get as much credit for as
good of a coach as he was because of how
much we knew about his personality.

Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Yeah, hundred percent.

You know, I'm maybe it was the first coach that
I remember with the Dallas Mavericks, so the same kind
of experience that you had, and uh, just his style
of play, style of coaching, the up and down pace
that he played with. He was one of the in
vaders in that pace in space during that time, and
you just you just knew that you're going to have
a fun team when he was there. And it was

going to be interesting and that we believe team with
the Golden State and yes, beat my Mappicks, which is
a downer for me, but yeah, send in love to
Don Nelson and his family.

predictions for years, Carrie, week of the start of the
regular season, I sit down at my computer and I
just type them out, and I type out my award winners,
and those are my predictions. Sometimes I'll put them up
on social media. Sometimes they don't. But I've done this

same thing just for myself until twenty twenty six. Because now,
as I've revealed, I am gradually giving you my picks
throughout this offseason leading up to the season because the
only thing that could change my opinion is a drastic injury,

(01:15:21):
A dramatic injury to a star player may make me
want to move off a certain team. And right now
I am on the books for the Dallas Cowboys to
win the NFC East and the New Orleans Saints to
win the NFC South, and I am ready to add
a new division winner to the list.

Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
You got, Can we get a little drum roll real quick?

Speaker 1 (01:15:43):
Maybe a little drum roll, little uh fox music?

Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
After that? There it is.

Speaker 1 (01:15:50):
The winner of the AFC East is the Buffalo Bills.
And here is why. This is off of a conversation
that Kerry and I had last week. But it's the
new England Buffalo dynamic. We had Adam Kaplan on earlier
that said, there seemed to be more positive vibes coming

(01:16:12):
out of Dolphins camp. But let's be honest, like the
vibes couldn't have been any worse entering this offseason, right
we felt that the Dolphins are in rebuilding mode. I
think the Jets are obviously still in rebuilding mode with
the best ahead of them because of the three first
round picks that they've got coming up in twenty twenty seven.

(01:16:33):
So I still don't even think that the best is
yet to come for the New York Jets.

Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
They're still building.

Speaker 1 (01:16:38):
Not to dismiss them, but just right now, neither team
is a part of the equation. So it comes down
to New England and Buffalo. And you said last week
that you think one of those teams is not going
to make the postseason. Yes, And I was sitting there
and I'm like, you know, everything that's happening. Maybe the
Patriots have moved off of off of the off season.

(01:17:03):
AJ Brown is in adding more depth. They brought over
Romeo Dobbs, that wide receiving corps is better. I do
think that they have a really, really good defense, but
it may be the new stadium. It's not the new
alternative uniforms. Although I don't mind the helmet. I like
the creativity of the Bill's alternate helmet. It's what I've

(01:17:23):
been hearing over the past twenty four to forty eight
hours of what went wrong with the Sean McDermott era,
and how maybe those things aren't happening anymore. I think
the Bills have a great chance to be better offensively,
even though their offensive coordinator now has taken on the
head coach role. The problem with the Bills has been

(01:17:44):
their defense and It's something that we talked about last week,
and I feel that with Jim Leonard coming in from
Denver taking over that defense, there seems to be new
energy there and I love riding new energy, and I
feel that New England rode new energy last year. So
I am ready. I am not a CNN projects, it's

(01:18:05):
a Dan Byer projects that the Buffalo Bills will win
the AFC East because I just can't get away from
the off season distraction that has happened with the New
England Patriots. And while we saw the huge growth, I
think everybody feels a lot of people feel don't want
to say everybody that there is going to be some

(01:18:26):
regression from New England that maybe they weren't as good
as they were last year. Maybe not to Washington commanders regression,
but I think that all adds up and by default
the Buffalo Bills just even with that new energy, so
it wouldn't be by default end up being my pick
in the AFC East. Yeah, I'm not ready to say
that yet, but your second ye, No, I love it.

(01:18:51):
I love that you're going out there and putting it
out there early, Dan, because I'm going to hold you
to it. Obviously, and I mean Buffalo there, it's just
so funny. I don't know yet, and it's that thing.
He's had a new energy.

Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
It's an uncertainty of how Brady's going to handle being
that guy, and it's it's a it's a thing. So
I kind of im I kind of want to see
and you know I've talked about in New England. I
think they are going to regress and I think they
over you know, they overdid what we you know, what
we expected from them last year.

Speaker 1 (01:19:20):
Right, So I think like the DJ Moore acquisition is nice. Yeah,
I don't know if that's the guy that Josh Allen
goes to. I still think he goes to Dalton Kinkaid,
Dawson Knox and kil AyL Shakir when he needs needs
a play. But I do think that DJ Moore adds
to the offense. But I just don't think that they're
gonna have problems on offense. I think that they'll be
fine on offense and it's just a matter of them

(01:19:42):
getting stops on defense. And I think that I think
at some point Jim Leonard probably could be a head
coach in the NFL, and well, we'll get a former
teammate of mind Jim Leonard get an opportunity to uh
to run that defense. So there it is my third
division winner. As we get closer and closer to the
NFL season opening, preseason game games up ramping up on Thursday.
