And your sports.

Speaker 1 (00:11):

the Fox Sports Radio studios. Here's Brian No, Bill Crack Krackenberger.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Oh what is going on?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Welcome in Happy Sunday to you guys. Hoops on the brain,
ball always on the brain. Some football news to get to,
sad news. No Jeff today, he's still with us. He's
just in Mexico. So it's me and the kman. Crack,
How you doing today, buddy?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Everything go?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
What's I think? I'm moving to Mexico.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Schwartz Syndicate moving on to Mexico over there.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
But just he send me videos of his private chef.
I was like, you know, that's this is what I'm
My goal in life is to have a private chef.
I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
The Syndicate, he knows how to live the good life. Man,
he doesn't have it over here.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
So we had a couple of Final Four games last night.
Crack I was there at Lucas Oil. I was there
checking out the final four and a couple of dog games.
If we're being honest, honest here, it got a little
bit good with the Illinois game at the end cut
it to a four point deficit, but then Braylan Mullins
hit a three and that's about as close as Illinois got.
And the second game, what can you say, Michigan is

(01:39):
just a.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Freight train crack.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I just I don't know if Danny Hurley and Yukon
can get in the way of that freight train. They
just seem like they're they're destined to win this thing,
and maybe when it with relative ease, they just have.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
It cranked up to another level.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
When you can lose your best player Yaxel Lindeborg for
most of the game and still crush Arizona, you've got
the goods man. Michigan is just that team this season.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Well, this total domination by Michigan in this one from
start to finish, I mean, they completely outmatched Arizona on
both sides of the court. I know I talked about
it when the brackets came out, but this year makes
it thirty years now since the team West of Kansas
has won the National championship and Michigan's just they're so stacked.

(02:25):
I mean, they just have no weaknesses. I mean, surprising
part was yesterday was probably their defense. Really we've heard
about how great their offenses all season, scoring eighty seven
points seven points a game, shooting over fifty percent as
a team, but we haven't really talked about how great
their defense are. So completely shut down Arizona offense, who

(02:45):
averages eighty six points a game and it was one
of the best scoring teams all year. Michigan used their
combined size and quickness just to shut down Arizona on offense.
Arizona just had no answer, you know, for many for
the entire game, but it hadn't really had no answer
for seven for three Mara, who who finished with the

(03:06):
career high twenty six points. The big concern for Michigan
now will be the health of their best player Big
Ten Player of the Year Londenborg. I almost want to
say Krakenberg. Londenborg, who sprained his ankle pretty bad in
the first half. He came back to play a second half,
but really was favoring his ankle and kind of just

(03:27):
like limping around even though he did it a couple
of threes, like you text me last night. I forgot
you were going to be there. Now you got in
for both games. I'm thinking, how to cost a fortune?
Or did you somehow were you gifted a ticket?

Speaker 4 (03:44):
I was a media credential. Crack wow, like sneakily got
in there, you know, and it was fun. It was
kind of funny. I have a million stories for you.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
No, that's great, that's great.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
One of the funny ones is, so I did this
in Indianapolis. I don't know if it's been here since
twenty fifteen. I should look that up. But I was
here when Duke wanted the Dookies when they won it
in twenty fifteen. I was covering it for Fox Sports
Radio and they had me on the floor.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
They had me pretty.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Low down, and so I didn't know where I was sitting.
I had no idea, and so I go down to
the floor and crack. You literally can just like it
feels like you can like like stick your your finger
out and it's like I just I just touched a
die Mara, like he just he ran. I'm pretty sure
I felt like his shorts, right, you're right there, Sure,
you're right there? And so I go down there. I'm like, yeah,

(04:36):
I don't know where I'm sitting. I don't I don't
have a seating chart.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
And he's like. The guy was super cool.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
He's like, yeah, you could look at the name tags
and see if your name's there. And so I look
up and down the rows I saw foxsports dot Com.
I went back to the guy. I'm like, it's not me.
I'm not I'm not quite sure.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Like in the.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Meantime, I went to go see Iron Eagle.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Iron Eagle used to stop by the show I did
in Portland a couple of times, and he remembered, which
I was shocked about. That was really cool, and so
you know, I'm having fun. I'm just, hey, what's up man?

Speaker 3 (05:08):
That go Yeah, I don't know where I'm sitting.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
But and I go back there and this girl helps
me out and she's like, oh yeah. So you're like
way up there where the eagles nest is the like wow,
bird's eye view if you will, way up there, and
it's it's this press box area crack and I know
it's the first world problem here, but I hate it.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Dude.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I It's like getting closed in glass. You can't feel
the crowd. You can't feel any Oh that's terrible. I'm like,
that's terrible.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
So I've spent the whole time just bumming around until
they were like, you can't be here, you.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Know, oh mound.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
I just kept moving around and watching here and there.
But it was a great time, man, It was fun.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Yeah, right, right, But so you walked around a lot
and got but you got some good views and stuff things. Yeah,
and then uh yeah that what's the use of being
there if you're behind glass and can't even hear anything
going on?

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah, I know, I don't know the pulse of of
the place. But hey, the price was right. The price
was right, zero price. Now how do you get into
the front door? Do you just say I have immediate
pass and you show your idea?

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Yeah, it's what's a whole thing, man? Like the first
thing was, you know, terrible rookie mistake. Being a hoosier myself,
I should know better. It was monsooning on the way there.
I'm driving to the stadium and it's pouring, dude, like
meting cats and dogs.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Man, Okay.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
And when I parked, it led up and I had
an umbrella with me. I'm like, you know what I think.
I'm okay, I took I swear, you know, I walked
about the length of a football field. The skies open up, crack,
it's pouring again. So I bought a ten dollars poncho
and then just made my way to the stadium.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
And then you have to find.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Exactly where you go, right, it's always a scavenger hunt.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
But you were so com wet going in and you
bought the poncho after at the stayum yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
The poncho a me from further getting doused. And then
you have to find the right window to get your
credential and then you can get in there and it's
no problem. But it's always a it's always a wow,
A little bit of a sir.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
But it was raining that bad there, monsooning.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
You use the worthy Yeah, well, yeah, it's it's not
I swear like, I don't know what it is with
Indiana the Midwest, they don't realize that it's spring. It's
freaking cold here, crack like it's oh god, I don't.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Get it at all.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
I was just in Vegas. I miss Vegas. Bring me
back to it was ninety five. Every day you were here.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
You were here. Just we were about twenty degrees above normal.
So yeah, it's now it's back to normal. It's like
seventy five to eighty every days. But yeah, you were here.
I don't mind the heat. I can't as I got older.
I can't stand the cold because I got older. Imagine,
here's a kid that grew up around snow and you know,
literally all sorts of four seasons weather, and I just

(07:55):
I'd rather have it one hundred degrees.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
And hot crack.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
It's it's like in the forties here. You know it'll
get below zero, no problem, but yeah it's around forty ish.
I'm like, it's cold. It's definitely cold.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Man.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
I'm not used to this whatsoever. What did you think
of the flex by Michigan's head coach Dusty May This
got a lot of traction online social media, a lot
of people.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
He was there.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
So Michigan played Arizona in the second game, but he
watched a chunk of the first game scouting. He's like
they're saying on the telecast, he hadn't seen yukon a
whole lot, and so just familiarize, familiarizing himself with whoever
won the Yukon Illinois game. That is peak confidence right there, Crack,

(08:43):
when you're sitting there scouting and you're taking on Arizona
in the next game. I love the move by Dusty May.
I was trying to ask Danny Hurley about that after
the game. He was in the media availability, you know,
and they had a million people asking questions. They didn't
get to me. But that's what I wanted to know,
is like, what did you think of Dusty May scouting

(09:05):
your game before taking on Arizona?

Speaker 3 (09:07):
What do you think about that? I'd love to hear
what he had to say about that.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Oh man, I would have loved No one asked him that,
huh no.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
And I sat there silently cracked, like my question is
way better.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
You know, of course, of course, of course, but you
were in them. You were there though when he did
take questions though.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Yeah, yeah, that area, Yeah, I was there, And I
do have some hard hitting journalism next hour Crack some
locker room interviews with some of the players. So very good,
some good stuff coming up as far as that goes.
I think this too. You might agree with this. Crack
one of my buddies. I'll give him credit. I worked
with this guy Eric Ringering. He was my producer when

(09:46):
I worked in Portland, and he texted me and he
was like, Dusty May is basically the Frank Signetti of basketball.
If you think about I use head football coach Frank
Signetti won a championship in his second year. That's what
Dusty May is trying to do. He's trying to win
a championship tomorrow night in his second year at Michigan.
Don't you see a comparison between Dusty May and Frank Signetti.

(10:08):
I thought that was a great comparison.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Yeah, you know, you know, I just looked up something
because I wanted to see if that was a big
story and it's toxic. I'm just looking to go back
to your last point, how dialed in Dusty May was
before the game. That that is absolutely amazing seeing that
and looking at the programs where he previously worked when

(10:33):
it was at Florida Atlantic, he would also sneak around
and watch everything right up until his players were taking
the court. So this is a well known thing for
him in one of his key coaching things that he does.
But I mean, you would think for this type of
level when his team's out there in the final four.
You're right, I'm upset that you didn't get to ask

(10:53):
that question now that I'm seeing, now that i'm reading this, Yeah,
and yes, you know when you say Frank Signetti automatically,
I'm looking right right away. I look for like the
Philly mob, like, where's this guy from Signetti? Yeah, that
sounds like a like someone. But yeah, no, but I
knew the name. I just didn't know where he coached.
To be honest with you, I didn't know what teams

(11:15):
he was currently the head coach. Of course, let me
tell you, Brian, looking at just real quick before I
do forgets, I didn't have this in my notes. But
looking at the way the line opened up after you
wonder being I'm just wondering, just thinking what the public

(11:36):
was thinking here. Connecticut beat them, won their game pretty
much handily, plug by nine. I know, of course, always
just missed a lot of key shots, but and easy
layup shots. But it doesn't matter. They won pretty good.
Michigan won pretty good. I guess it's the last thing
in people's minds too, is that Michigan won so easy.

(11:56):
When the line came out, it came out seven minus fifteen,
seven and a half. There was even an eight up there.
I can't remember a championship game that had eight on
the opening line, you know, in a while in my brain,
I'm sure it's happened, of course, but there has been
some dominant teams after all. But when this line first

(12:17):
came out, I just I thought it looked too high.
But now looking at it, I don't know. I talked
to some people after the game and they told me
that that's what the line they You know, my one
guy's put it at like five and a half, but
the other guys I spoke to both put it at
seven and a half, at eight where it was so
and now it's come down to seven. Matter of fact,

(12:37):
the only seven and a half is at our sponsor
Ben I'MGM. They're the only seven and a half that
I see out there. Maybe some maybe it's a couple
of books back East have seven and a half now
that I look. But well, I always have the sharp
sports books on my live odd screen, the sharpest lines,
and they're all seven. And then you come to the
next first seven and a half I see is that

(13:00):
at MGM. So it seems like a lot of points
for this situation in this game. I don't know if
I'll have a bet on this game. I know I've
had I had a real successful podcast with Alan Boston,
who worked for the great Billy Walters for over a decade.
He was there college, he was a college handicapper for US,
and I was also there at that for a lot

(13:22):
of those years. I've had him on multiple podcasts, weekly podcast,
but also uh the March Madness. Brian, you were there
for you were there. You actually were at the casino
where we did the podcast. We had a nice audience
the first week. Uh, the second week it was only
like three or four of you guys, but you you
heard him speak. You could tell the guys very very

(13:43):
smart with basketball and had a selled Yeah, he had
a sick and he had a sick tournament he did.
I mean Connecticut was he said, the wrong team's favorite,
and you know, and as far as Michigan, he said, Michigan,
Michigan can blow this team out.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
He had a real, real good tournament, a real good
from the beginning. He was nine and five on the
first show that we did this. You know, of course,
the you know for all the games went after the
selection Sunday and one of his losses. Was was UCLA,
which probably was the was the worst beat of the

(14:18):
tournament lane four and a half points, one by four,
up by nine, under a minute to go with the ball.
I mean, there's like, you know, I can go on
and on about bad beat stories, but so he well.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Ye's the thing. Yeah, Yukon.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
That's crazy though, crack is you think about Yukon. So
Illinois was only twenty six percent from three against Yukon
last night. Twenty six percent is terrible and Illinois only
had three assists in the entire game. You got to
give Yukon's defense a ton of credit. And it's funny
that you could hold Illinois to twenty six percent from

(14:53):
three point range, hold them to three assists for the
entire game, and you're a seven and a half point dog,
you know what I mean. Like, that's just how impressive
Michigan was.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
That's how impressive.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
And think about Lndeborg his status where he played five
minutes in the first half injured, his ankle had a
knee issue going on as well. He came back and
played about nine minutes in the second half, hit three
threes of course, just you know, for the heck of
like but his status is up in the air, like
is it going to be one hundred percent? We don't know, right,
And so Lendeborg their best player, his status is a

(15:26):
bit unknown, right, Like he's gonna play, but how effective
will he be? Will he be his normal Studley self?

Speaker 2 (15:32):
We don't know.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
And yet they're still favored by seven and a half.
That's just how much respect there is for Michigan.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Ryan out of the boat, out of the games, did
you everyone was waiting and I mean everyone that I
was around and knew everyone was waiting for this Yukon
just to you know, even the second half, Illinois was
favored by five. Yeah, did that happen? And all? Did
you think, oh, this is just a matter of time
before Illinois takes over.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
No, I didn't.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
I liked Illinois in the game, to be honest with you,
But the way the game was playing out, I'm like,
I didn't think it was gonna happen, you know. And
they made a little push.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
At the very very end.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
They just couldn't buy shots from the outside, they couldn't
hit threes, and they just couldn't get close enough. Like Yukon,
they just had a little bit more and it was.
It was a weird game, right crack, where you know,
like Illinois would make a little bit of a push
and then Yukon would bank in a three and you're like,
holy cow, right or Illinois get a little closer, and

(16:31):
then Yukon would, I don't know, hit this three that
rattles around and somehow drops and they're still up twelve,
and you're like, I don't think it's happening for Illinois.
So it really didn't surprise me the way the game
was playing out in the second half. I just I
didn't see it happening for Illinois.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
So I had a friend that bet Illinois against Alan
against me with Yukon, and he said Illinois should have won.
I said, what hold it? Hold it? What he was
illely should have won. They just misslayups miss he goes
if you think about but that just goes to show
you my old saying, you could have two different guys
on two sides of the games, and both of them

(17:06):
will make a case because our eyes plays tricks on us.
You only look at the game from the way you bet.
So here's a guy that's very schooled by the way,
been around for years, bets tens of thousands on games,
by the way, and he just like, I'd be real blunt.
He bet twenty thousand on this game and he bet Illinois.
But however, he's had a winning season, so this is

(17:28):
not like a sucker, a degenerate. He said that. He
goes that game was horrible. He said Illinois should have
won the game. I said, come on, really, you think
that's what you think? He said, they missed so many shots,
they played so poorly. Are you crazy? He said they should,
but that you'll hear anyone that bet you con and said, yeah,
of course we're supposed to win. Yeah, we played better.

(17:48):
So that goes to show you that's what you look
through blinders, when you bet on your side and you
only look at the things your team did. You don't
look at the at the misses the other way, or
the block shots the other way, or the lucky threes.
You just look at your side of the three for
your lens only. And that really this game really proved
that nine points you how can you say lose by

(18:10):
nine points? How can you possibly say we should have
won and you're laying a point and a half, you know, yeah,
or two points? Right? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (18:17):
The only thing I would say to that crack is
he's wrong first off, like, you know, but how do
you get there to that conclusion? Is there are a
lot of open shots that are missed, you know. And
that's the trippy thing about basketball. I always say there
are six defenders in basketball. There are the five guys,
and then there's the hoop, you know. And and so

(18:37):
if you're watching the team that you're backing, get quality
shot after quality shot. Illinois had a lot of quality shots.
They're just not going down, you know. So at times
if you're especially if you're backing Illinois with a good
amount of money, you're like, this isn't Yukon's defense. We're
getting good shots, they're just not falling. And that's hard

(18:59):
to take. But that's basketball, man, Especially in a football stadium,
you have to expect you're taking fifty percent of your
shots from three. That's what Illinois did throughout the entire season.
That might not be the best formula in a football
stadium where the backdrop is such where you're not used
to it, and you shoot twenty six percent from three,
that's not going to cut it against a team like Yukon.

(19:21):
So I get it that you might not want to
give Yukon full credit, like they challenged every shot. You're
taking tough shot after tough shot, so you might win
a you know, short change him on credit a little bit.
But that's basketball, man. It's hard to stomach sometimes when
your team is missing quality shots, but it happens.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
All right, Hey, we're off and running.

Speaker 4 (19:39):

so I'm gonna go with I think it's Haley is

Speaker 4 (23:00):
I went last year to a game and it's dead dead,
deader than dead?

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Is it because of the timing that we're still in
the final four? We had march back?

Speaker 4 (23:09):
It's partially that, and it's it's really honestly, it's because
it's Vegas. Vegas is the worst town to have like
one of these events in they think, oh it's Vegas
at all, No, no one cares. It has to be
a huge.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Vegas is so big. They big events though. I mean,
I don't know if I agree with that. Vegas is
giant for you can't get into a hockey game. They
did such a great job out their hockey. Now you're
talking about pro level, but I don't know. I guess
you're right though. The college level, it just doesn't It
doesn't a buzz at all. This is a team obile arena,
Like this is where the Walls Vegas Golden Knights, this

(23:46):
is where I seen the Rolling Stones. I mean, this
is like it's just no buzz about it all. And
you were there last year, same thing.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
Yeah, I was there last year Dead. I was there
the NBA Cup. I think it was the first year
when it was the under in the Bucks. Dead, no
one cares. I'm like, this should be fun. They're just
there in the audience, like we should be somewhere else
right now.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Let me ask you, if you go to a college
basketball game in anywhere in I'll use anywhere in California
or Florida. It seems like to me that when I
was in the middle of America watching a college basketball game,
the excitement the crowds was packed. So I don't know
if it's just Vegas. I went to a Florida Panther

(24:31):
game in Florida. I went to a hockey game and
there just wasn't a big crowd. They weren't into it.
It was like, I don't know if they're fair weather
fans or it just seemed like to me, it wasn't
a but anything in Vegas. I thought was, you know,
people plan their vacations around people from West Virginia or
even Oklahoma. They're coming into Vegas because their teams are

(24:54):
in this Crown Tournament. There was no buzz here at all. Nothing.
I was actually pretty surprised. But like you said, you
into it last year, and it was really the same
kind of thing.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Oh, same exact thing. I was at the Villanova game
and there's hardly anybody there, man, and uh, it's running
simultaneous with March madness going on, right, so the window
is not ideal.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
And look, it's really you think about this too.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
The fans of these teams, right, like our Auburn fans
just we got well Auburn's in the n I T.
Who we got Oklahoma West Virginia, Like, are fans just
going crazy, like hey, let's get over there.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
And so but now all Auburn they're playing, they're an
I D N I T. That's that's today right tonight. Yeah,
so you're out crack.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
It's like it's the hub in Indiana.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
That's going to be sold out, though I don't know.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
I would imagine they'll have a pretty good turnout for that.
I think that, Yeah, I think it's I don't know
where it's at. Is it Henkle or is it?

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (25:56):
The pacers play, I don't even knowuse. Oh wow, okay. Yeah,
By the way, how far was that? How far is
that from where you where you live?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Hinkle?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Last night? Oh, last night, I should say last night,
were like how far? Like you you text? You text
me you're driving home? And I was thinking myself, is
it like an hour? Oh?

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Well, my hometown is about two and a half hours.
I'm from South Bend. That's roughly depending on where you're
going in Indianapolis's about two and a half hours or so.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Are you in a hotel?

Speaker 4 (26:27):
H No, I'm just staying at friends houses while I'm
into Oka in Indi. Yeah, okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
So so so if you were to travel home, moll
would take it two and a half hours.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
Yeah, roughly about two and a half at home. Not
too bad. You got some Yukon comments real quick crack, Oh, I.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Just said, you know, I commented on the one game.
I really didn't. I didn't really give a lot of
comments on on the other game.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
But you feel you short changed Danny Hurley in Yukon.
You feel guilty.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Well, listen, this is a team that I want a
lot of money on recently, and I've won a lot
of money on for a lot of people, so I
figured I should. You know, we talked about the one
game and I didn't talk about Yukon, and I thought
they pretty much can you know, During a break, my
right hand man said to me, he sent me a text.
He goes, who told you that? And I told him

(27:12):
who it was. He goes, who told you that that
the wrong team won the game? He said, what is
he looking at? And and you know, like but but however,
the person is a seasoned veteran though, so in the end,
he I said, he's a lunetic. He goes, yes, he's sick.
So in the end, and so he'll be happy to
know that we're talking about him like that. So not
only the guy loses twenty grand.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
And yeah he hit his buddy's pilot on him.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Sure, yeah, yeah, yeah, But no, I thought Yukon pretty
much controlled from the start to the finish. I have
to admit though, I was waiting for that burst when
Illinois went ahead by six or eight or something, you know,
like back and forth. You know, Like I said, I
think they only trailed once in this game, and the
closest that got in the second half was four. So

(27:57):
the experience really helped. You know, a lot of Yukon
starters they've been there before. Illinois really looked like the
moment was just too big for them. So one of
the comment on that a little bit, you come played
pretty much perfect for you know, I guess I'm gonna
say most of the game. I don't think they had
a turnover until the second half. They played smart, unselfish basketball,

(28:20):
and Dan Hurley way moved the ball well and really
took open shots most of the game. They never looked pressured,
and Illinois couldn't get anything going on offense and literally
finished with zero points in transition. And you know, my
friend who bet that he's a big better, he's a pro.

(28:42):
I just think that for all his years in basketball
betting basketball, I don't bet a lot of sides uh
in n b A and and he bets NBA also,
I think he just has a lot more gamble to him.
Than me. But like I said, he does win. He
know he played he played by the way he played basketball.

(29:03):
He didn't play in the NBA, but you know, he's
like six foot three and he was a very good
basketball player as a youth, and he knows a lot
about the game. I just after the game was over,
I couldn't believe he said Illinois should have won. That's all. Yeah, Illinois.
Illinois was the right team. They just missed a lot
of shots.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
Way too much iso crack. It's embarrassing to have three
assists in a full game. Three assists that's coming right,
that's way too much isolation basketball. And uh no, you
kon deserve to win that game, no doubt about it.
They're just they're not incredibly sexy crack. You know, they're
a tough team. Danny Hurley talked about that they'll battle you.
He's like he said during the game, you know, any

(29:42):
rebounds like World War three out there, you know that
they're a gritty team. But you know, sometimes a team
that's short on sexy doesn't sell as much. And we
don't own I as much as we we do about
a team that cans threes and plays a little bit
more you know, offensive style. Realistically, that's just not Yukon man.

(30:02):
But they're tough man in there. To get to another
championship game, going for their third crown in four years,
it's unbelievable. And what they've done covering the spread tournament
after tournament is insanity. So you got to give a
lot of credit to Danny Hurley in Yukon. We'll keep
it with Yukon in a second here, Craig. First though,
we want to work in the great Isaac loewen Kroner,

(30:24):
who you know he never makes excuses when his bets
don't cash.

Speaker 7 (30:31):
Yep, you don't need to make excuses when your bets
don't cash.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
When you don't make the best of the first one, Well,
there you go. Yeah, that's why you're so smart.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Island.

Speaker 7 (30:41):
Find all of that in my new book, Winning Gambling Strategies,
self published and one paragraph long. Well, we begin, indeed
with the men's final four on Saturday night, and I
have my own memories of Indianapolis, where I had every
meal pretty much at the Downtown Steak and Shake and
in downtown last night, and Michigan beat Arizona ninety one

(31:02):
seventy three. Mind a career high twenty six from a
die Maarra. Michigan has won its first five NCAA Tournament games,
all by double digits. Earlier, Yukon over Illinois seventy one
sixty two Terrace Reed Junior seventeen points and eleven rebounds.
It'll be Yukon against Michigan for the national title on
Monday night. Yukon a chance to win its seventh national championship,

(31:23):
all would come in the last twenty eight years. At
first today at three thirty East from the women's National
Championship game between South Carolina and UCLA. Baseball Saturday night,
the Mets one at San Francisco nine to nothing. Clay
Holmes and Tobias Myers combined on a three hitter, and
late last night we had one of the most memorable

(31:44):
defensive performances in all of Major League Baseball history.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
Crazy Yeah.

Speaker 7 (31:50):
Joe Adell of the Angels robbed the Seattle Mariners of
home runs, not once, not twice, but three different times
in a one nothing Angels victory.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Here was the hat trick. JP Crawford into the corner and.

Speaker 8 (32:14):
Shot shut it down. He's having the night of his life.
He went into the crowd and just run his third
hold run.

Speaker 7 (32:27):
Yeah, the third one was the greatest of all. They
have low outfield walls in the right field corner and
the left field corner in Anaheim, and Adele went completely
over the fence into the stands for the third home run.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Robbery.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Guys, back to you, thank you, I Low.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BEDMGM. Ready

(33:04):

How about this crack Gino Arima, Yukon head coach. We
go from Yukon men to Yukon women. Right, He apologized
for being a complete idiot the other other night, all
upset that Don Staley, the South Carolina head coach, didn't

(33:24):
meet him for the pregame handshake, and he made his
thoughts known. This was the other night and we'll get
to his apology afterward. He was defiant the night of
Here's what he had to say the night of the
loss from the Yukon losing to South Carolina.

Speaker 9 (33:38):
For forty one years, I've been coaching, and I've been
I don't know thirty twenty five final fours, and a
protocol is before the game, you meet at half court.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Anybody ever seen that before?

Speaker 9 (33:49):
Two coaches meet at half court and they Shaye kains correct,
never said Dan Anson on the loudspeaker. And I waited
there for like three minutes.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
So it is what it is, just lame crack. It's
just it's not being an adult. You know, that's a
guy who's frustrated about losing and kind of throwing a
mini temper tantrum.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
You know, you just sound small if you.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Like I was there for three minutes, you didn't shake
my hand, I'm gonna make a big big deal out
of it after the game. It's just lame. It's just
not a good way to handle things.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Not grown up.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
And so he apologized the next day. This is what
Gino had to say yesterday, a statement was released. There's
no excuse for how I handled the end of the
game versus South Carolina. It's unlike what I do and
what our standard is here at Connecticut. I want to
apologize to the staff and the team at South Carolina.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
YadA, YadA, YadA.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
I was uncalled for. I'll just say this crack. I mean,
half props for him apologizing. But this is the thing, man,
An apology should be all about them, not about you.
I hate when people apologize this way. Maybe I'm nitpicking,
maybe you agree with me, but it's like, I'm sorry
I did this. I'm sorry. It should be your moment.

(35:02):
I'm raining on the parade. It's all about South Carolina.
It's a great achievement. They're in the National championship game.
I stole a little bit of the spotlight. I'm sorry,
like that was wrong. It's all about them, them, them.
The second line is, it's unlike what I do and
what our standard is here at Connecticut. It's not about it.
You still think it's about you. It's not about you.

(35:22):
Even in your apology. It's about you too much. That's
the whole problem to begin with here.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Tony Soprano always said it is what it is. I mean,
that's what he said there. But yeah, of course, we
knew an apology was coming from Gino after his outburst.
These two have never liked each other, and it goes back,
you know, to their roots of the University of Virginia,
where Gino was an assistant under w Ryan and Dawn
Staley when he planned under Ryan. So he just really

(35:48):
showed poor sport for his antics. This Yukon team was
undefeated and supposed to be one of the best teams
in the history of women's basketball, and this this Stalian
South Carolina really took them out of their game with
their physical style and Gino was visibly upset. As we
see during the game. It can plain between the third
and fourth quarter that I just you're right now, this

(36:09):
is I remember this is Gino, an Italian immigrant who
only actually gained official citizenship in the United States nineteen
ninety four. He should know that no one likes a rat.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
Yeah that's right, Yeah, exactly right. He basically rated on
Don Staley at the end of the game that you're right, crack,
that's something behind closed doors.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
You handle it like adults.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Maybe a call Don Staley after the game tonight, He congratulations,
I gotta be honest. I didn't like you know, yadi.
That's how you handle it, man. You don't do how
he did it? Yeah, poorly done.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
All right.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
He's Bill Krackenberger.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
I'm Brian No Jeff Schwartz vacationing in Mexico, but he's

Speaker 4 (37:43):
Parlay letter all right, the platter reach out one selection
for you. We pull it together for a greater payout.
Crack this more your speed. We got a two leg
parlay today, right, so what do you like? What's your
half of the parlay.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Go to? Let's go to some baseball here, Cincinnati Reds first,
Texas bet MGM plus one o five Cincinnati with Burns
over a lighter. I actually like the under last night too.
In this game, but that got away from me. That
line went from eight to them to seven and a half.
That was gonna be my first play, but a half
a run means so much. We're just gonna go with

(38:18):
the side here. Cincinnati the road dog here.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
Okay, plus one oh five?

Speaker 4 (38:25):
You like that in the parlay. Crack that plus money.
That's good. Let's get a spicier payout.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
Here, and I know you love that.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
All right. I'm gonna go with college hoops today. We
got a lot going on. It's like the Hub here
in Indianapolis. Man, it's crazy, all these games going on.
But I'm gonna look to the nit. I think we're
gonna get some scoring here in this Auburn game.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
Auburn, and I.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
Don't know who's stopping who, right, Crack. When you look
at this, I think we're gonna get up and down
pretty good. And so I'm looking for the asked line,
where is it at Cracked? The Nit game? It's around
like one fifty seven and a half?

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Where's it at? I haven't seen it?

Speaker 2 (39:10):
I know a Tulsa Auburn game.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
Yeah, yeah, I've been scoring a ton.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
One one fifty nine and a half at bet MBA.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
How it's sticked up a little bit, I'll still take it.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
I still think that we can get into the eighties
here one fifty nine and a half. I would have
liked it better obviously at one fifty seven and a half,
but I still like it to go over. I think
we're gonna be up and down. Both teams have have
scored quite a bit in this tournament, and why why.

Speaker 3 (39:36):
Would you slow things down?

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Now?

Speaker 4 (39:37):
You know, like tolls are.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
Not slowing it down.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
And so I'll take it over one fifty nine and
a half. And if we pulled those two things together
here Cracked, we're looking at about a plus two to
eighty three payout.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Okay, we didn't get schwartz on here for the third one.
I figured we'd have at least a play coming in.
I know internationally international plays.

Speaker 4 (39:58):
Yeah, i'll text them. I'll take them here in a
couple of minutes to see. I would imagine he's got
something with this.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
Listen to me, he's got action, don't worry. Yeah, there's
no way he's uh, he's down there. I'll sneak over
to like the Caliente books or something down in Mexico's right.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
And you got the women's final tonight. You know, he's
all over women's college hoops here.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Yeah, I'll tell his wife he's going to get my
tire or something. Be gone for a half hour. Oh,
I wind up. Someone spotted me. They recognize me, you know.

Speaker 11 (40:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
By the way, crack the totals.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
The points have not been slowing in the women's matchups
thus far, right, Like, I don't know if you saw
any of that UCLA Texas game. Holy hell no, yeah,
barely over one hundred points. I don't know if they
even got it with a fifty one forty. I don't
know if they even got there, man, But yeah, the
total end the championship game South Carolina U SLA won

(40:51):
twenty eight and a half, which is insanely low. But
if you saw those other games, you're like, the under
might hit, under might hit in that one.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
See some of the South Carolina game that was h
you know, knocking out of course the big favorite there.
But didn't watch the other games. So well, hey, listen,
we've got some uh, we've got some action here today. Well,
we'll see if chef can add anything. And he loves
the women's basketball, so we'll see.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
We'll see. I'll tax him right now.

Speaker 4 (41:19):
Hit some takes right now. Coming up next, crack, buckle

Just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube and subscribe. Okay,
so it's at the final four yesterday, crack, and uh,

(42:03):
you know, they have media availability, so you can go
up talk to whoever you want to talk to. Now,
some of these players have just a a swarm of
people around them, and it's like, all right, that's that's
probably not going to work out too well to go
down that road. But every now and then you can
get a little like, you know, one on one questions
and they're not not too many people around these players,

(42:24):
and it's always cool. I got to talk to a
couple of the players and uh, I've got a little
bit audio for you, Crack, if you're up for this
sort of thing. Now, I have heard from a couple
of people on x I love the complainers, Crack, you
know where it's like, well.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
You're welcome them by saying, we take we would like
to hear people you don't like what you like them.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
Oh that's right, I just read that thing. Yeah, yeah,
honestly that thumbs up.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
I con't want to hear it. If you don't like it,
just turn us off. If you don't want to hear
about real sports betters, well, you know, I make my
live in sports betting, so we're it's a rare person
in media that talks about sports betting, and from a
positive standpoint, we explained what, you know, how hard it is.
We have a responsible gambling I talk about a lot
of different things, and this is what you get from

(43:08):
this show, which you don't get from a lot of
other shows. So plenty of options out there. How about
the one guy his his name actually was I figured
the name if his name is Larry was shut up
Larry Well, I mean at least he knows no. I mean,
at least he knows that people tell him that all
the time. I mean, he obviously has problems at home
with his wife, his exes, his kids. Shut up life.

(43:31):
If you name yourself, shut up. You know that obviously
that it's self depred Your whole life is self deprecating.
So yeah, you know, do what you gotta do, guy
guy in. There's plenty of other options you have.

Speaker 4 (43:43):
I will say this though, crack not to go on
a tangent. I hear this from people where it's like
they're just inaccurate, where they're like they'll say it with Fox,
they'll be like gambling talk all weekend. Like it's like, no,
there isn't there's not even in this show, which is
a gambling show. There isn't non stop gambling talk, but
there certainly isn't that on on Fox Sports Radio on

(44:05):
the weekends. It's just like totally inaccurate. I don't get that.
But the other thing that I don't get crack. I
promise you you might feel the same way. But if
I didn't bet anything on sports ever, I've never bet anything,
it wouldn't bother me to hear about point spreads the total.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
I would be interested in that.

Speaker 4 (44:25):
Anyway, you know what I mean, Like these peoples, they
never had nothing to do. If I say who's gonna
win between Michigan and Yukon, most people are gonna say Michigan, Right.
If I say, is Michigan gonna win by at least
eight points? Well it's like, well that's a little different,
that's tougher. Yeah, that's that's that's the point spread. You

(44:47):
don't find that more interesting? No, nothing like? Okay, I'd
still be interested even if most of.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
Our listeners, though, they get it, and then they have
fun with it and they appreciate it coming from the
standpoint that I mentioned before, were you know the pro
gambling that's not a lot of people. A lot of
people say they are. But you know, I usually don't
come off that. I'm pretty humble. But I mean, you
know when someone attacks you for talking about gambling on

(45:13):
a gambling show. Wow, I mean, I guess it's Sunday morning, Sunday,
Easter Sunday. Maybe you should get to mash It's mass
or wherever you are.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
Woke up on Easter Sunday. So much gambling.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
Dog get yourself some holy water? Right, Yeah, nothing against religion.
I mean I was born to raise Catholic myself, so.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
I went to Catholic school, so I did too.

Speaker 4 (45:36):
Crack yeah, absolutely, Catholic grade school, all that good stuff.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
All right.

Speaker 4 (45:41):
So we got Braylan Mullins, right, sharpshooter from Yukon. Think
about the huge legendary shot he hit against Duke to
even get them to this stage. Now they're going to
the championship game. But I got to talk to him
for a little bit here. Crack cool some hardcore journalism
featuring Braylan Mullins and yours truly check it out. What
kind of adjustments that you need to make as a

(46:01):
shooter with the backdrop being so much different.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
I mean, it's there's.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
No there's no difference.

Speaker 12 (46:07):
I think it's just being able to stay shooting with confidence,
and I mean, yeah, you just got to focus more
on the rim because I mean, if you're not looking
at the rim, you're seeing a whole full of crowd
behind it. So I think just I think just shooting
a confidence was just the main thing for me.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
How much did the Duke shot do for you confidence
wise in a game like tonight?

Speaker 12 (46:27):
Yeah, I mean I think just coming in the game
and just that momentum coming off a shot like that,
just it just made all the looks easier and it
made it made it feel like you can make every shot.
And that's the that's the mentality you have to have
on this stage.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
You know, it's funny you Yeah, how cool that is?

Speaker 2 (46:45):
Right? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (46:47):
You know what's funny.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
I can't believe you didn't tell them that all the
money I want on the game?

Speaker 4 (46:50):
All right? I should have talked gambling with it, right,
like we talked, Wow, you.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
Didn't gambling sort of gambling aspect then?

Speaker 4 (46:57):
Anyway, go ahead, bro, I did the on my phone.
I've never recorded anything, you can tell I'm a rookie.
I would hold it next to my you know, my mouth.
So what happened in the game last night. It's just like,
you don't need to do that. Man, it's gonna pick
up your voice. Fine, I was a rookie, but yeah
he was cool. Brayln Mullen's nice guy, Indiana native. Yeah,

(47:17):
back in his home state doing his thing. We also
get Michigan here, crack got more hardcore journalism. So one
of the two players I talked to from the Michigan side,
Elliott Cadou, ten assists last night, had a good game,
got his rhythm shooting wise in the second half, for sure.
And here's what our little conversation sounded like. Arizona had

(47:39):
five assists night, You guys had twenty two, Like you
had ten by yourself. You think that's an underrated part
of your game. Just Michigan able to share the basketball.

Speaker 13 (47:49):
Yeah, for sure. We have so many great passers. Dies
an elite passer, Yax is an elite passer. I feel
like I'm an elite passer. So all get asked going too.
So when you have that many threats out there that
can all play make it's really special.

Speaker 4 (48:05):
They keep talking about, you know, shooting in a football stadium.
You know you knock down three three pointers tonight. How
would you describe what it's like, the difference in a
stadium like this compared to a normal arena.

Speaker 13 (48:17):
It's definitely different. It's definitely different. You know, behind the rim,
it just keeps going and keeps going. It feels like
it never stops. And the people there too, So it's
really different. But you get used to it once you
practice there, once you play there, you get used to it.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
There you go, how cool that is that? That's great
for your just mental resume. That's so cool. I mean,
thank god they didn't send me there. Thank god. You know, guys,
you know I had you guys first half and uh,
I didn't think second half. Your line was four and
a half five?

Speaker 3 (48:53):
How can you not cover that?

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Yeah, it would have been more.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
They would have been like surf place.

Speaker 4 (48:59):
No, no, we're not doing this.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
No, sorry you wait a minute.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
There's signs in the stadium about gambling. I'm just talking
about yeah. No, anyway, all right, I guess I'll leave
those two trolls alone. I went and looked.

Speaker 3 (49:12):
Yeah, if you.

Speaker 4 (49:14):
Don't have trolls, crack, you know, you're really nobody, you know,
So it's a sign of respect. I think that the
trolls are coming out over here.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
On a serious note, though, Brian, that really is cool.
I mean, you know the the question about the Duke
game too, that was, uh, that's life changing for that kid.
And yeah, it really is cool that you got to
go down there. I to be real blunt, I can't
believe you got to them. I thought it would be
insane in that kind of a media room, in that setting.

Speaker 4 (49:43):
You know, there it is kind of crazy crack. It
always is where you know, you get a huddle around.
Sometimes you get a swarm around certain guys, but it
thins out a little bit. There are only so many
people there, you know, and it starts to thin out
a little bit. Of course you get the TV people.
It's a whole TV crew here.

Speaker 5 (50:03):
Know.

Speaker 4 (50:05):
People are like, okay, all right, of course you know
there's a TV camera and a girl with a microphone
and a light. It's like, oh, if you have a light,
you go first, you have free reign, and then you
eventually get your questions in.

Speaker 2 (50:17):
But it was cool. People were cool. It was really cool.
There's a great line from the movie The Godfather. You
just you just it reminds me of it. My whole
life is godfather, goodfellow quote. It's Rosale, right, I really
have to get a life. But the line is difficult,
not impossible. That's what they say. Okay, can we get
the hymen roth. It's going to be difficult, but it's

(50:40):
not impossible. You just proved, Michael Corleoni correct, difficult, not impossible.
You got there and you got a couple of a
couple of things in there. That's great. I really now
that you say the TV cameras, I think it's hard
for a radio guy to ask a question on his iPhone. Nevertheless,
when you have cameras, some boom guys and you know,

(51:02):
reporters like you know that, that's great, that's great. What
a feeling. Have you ever done that before?

Speaker 4 (51:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (51:08):
I have, and that spot and that kind of a
big spot like this, Yeah, I did it before.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
I'll try to dig up something from the archives that
you asked that crack. Not a ton, but a little
bit here and there. And yeah, for the most part,
people are cool. It's funny. I did so the Lakers
used to. I did radio in Fresno for two and
a half years. Fresno, California. It's one of my early
stops and the Lakers would play a preseason game in

(51:34):
Fresno every year. They still mind, I'm not sure. But
at the time, the Lakers flagship station was a Fox
affiliate in LA and so Uncle Frank, who worked at
Fox at the time, he would dial me up and
he'd be like, hey, can you get some sound for
our next broadcast? Right our next game? And so I
would go there and get sound. Lamar Odom got mad

(51:56):
at me. Crack, you know, like he's he's got a
special coming. Now. This is a new like untold. I
know you love the untold thing going on on Netflix.
There's a new one with lamar Odom. It's like it's cool.
It's like, ah, I forget what's called. It's not like
his life and death. It's like his death and life
because he was brought back to life. Lamar got mad

(52:16):
at me because he was that was the year that
he was going to come off the bench. So he's
the sixth man, and so I never heard the audio,
but just ask him something. This is I believe, Yeah,
it's it's out right now. But yeah, I just asked
him like, hey, you know, first taste as the sixth man,
Like what did you think? How did you feel about

(52:39):
this new role. And the way Lamar was talking to
me is kind of like, you know it kind of
it was almost like making the gestures of DMX, you know,
if DMX was on the mic and just kind of
like he's kind of like look at me, And I
think Lamar's pissed right now.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
Lamar got mad.

Speaker 4 (52:56):
But yeah, I've had some experiences out a ton.

Speaker 3 (53:01):
I'll try to dig.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
That I wouldn't last like with one of these NBA
guys getting mad at me they throw me out.

Speaker 4 (53:07):
Yeah, yeah you would. Yeah, Hey, I get it. You
might have something to say and all that. I got
one more from last night though, How about the honesty
a Die Mara, who had a career high twenty six points,
also had nine rebounds.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
Listen to the honesty from Mara. This is great.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
Die.

Speaker 4 (53:24):
If I told you before the game you'd have twenty
six points and nine rebounds, what would you have said
to me?

Speaker 2 (53:30):
Uh, well, I don't know, honestly.

Speaker 14 (53:35):
Yeah, yeah, because I think I because I've I know
that I can I can do it, and I'm not
gonna say that I can do it every.

Speaker 15 (53:45):
Game, you know, but but I know that I'm able
to play it in this level. It's just that I
don't know if we have so many players that can
play like a good game every every different game.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Him, I'm not worried about like his scoring, you know.

Speaker 15 (54:05):
The only thing I'm worried about is like getting rebounds
and getting blacks. And I think they called me too,
and I got like three or something like that. So
that's the only thing that I'm worried about.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
That's cool you stumped them for a second. Is that
he actually was stumped where he didn't know what to answer,
and then he had a full fledged yet but he
didn't know you stumped him with with to be honest,
but yeah, that that's almost a layup question for him,
having like I would have been like, listen, I'm a
team player. I had no idea. Just I'm happy to
be part of the team today and make those points.

(54:38):
Maybe since it's the next guy or something, you actually
stumped them, he said, I don't know that.

Speaker 4 (54:42):
I love that he was that honest.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
That was but he was very honest. Yeah, yeah, great,
very And then he came out with it, yeah yeah
that was cool. Wow.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
Yeah, so you got it.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
You really got a round. I thought you only have
the two clips for us.

Speaker 4 (54:54):
Yeah, a couple, Yeah, getting around there, you know a
little bit al play.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
The Hurly clip.

Speaker 4 (55:00):
I wish I had one for you know, I wanted
to ask what he thought about Dusty May scouting their
game before he took on Arizona. But yeah, never got
there with that one.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
How cool though, That's that's really cool. That was cool.
I think this year and me doing this, this would.

Speaker 4 (55:17):
Be all you would love it. Crack you a good time.
You know, Yeah, they're just young. You know, they're young.
They're on a huge stage. They're they're so happy they're
going to the championship game. Like, it's just the one
thing I always struggled with, Crack is what do you
ask after a loss? You go to the Arizona locker room?
What are you asking them? You know, everybody's kicked off

(55:39):
the sad. It's not easy. It's really difficult, Like, you know,
what what happened to Illinois with only three assists tonight?
You know, like, well we kind of sucked, is what happened? Like,
there's only so much you can ask, you know, it's tough.
This was, uh you asked about another one, Crack. This
was going down memory road. I think this is the audio.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
But I got to ask Kobe a couple of questions.

Speaker 2 (56:04):
You're kidding me.

Speaker 4 (56:04):
Yeah, when the Lakers doing their preseason stuff, I think
this is cool.

Speaker 3 (56:09):
Yeah, check this out.

Speaker 4 (56:10):
You go from the NBA Finals to the Olympics and
now preseason basketball. Would be understandable for your effort not
to be there. But it's there.

Speaker 11 (56:17):
I'll come because I love to play. You know, when
you love to play, it's just it's just fun. It's
just fun being out there and competing. And I just
love what I do.

Speaker 3 (56:26):
Are you wearing a brace on your pinky anymore?

Speaker 2 (56:28):
No? Nothing, it's that good.

Speaker 11 (56:30):
Oh yeah, it's good enough. I mean for me to
reinjury it, I have to injury it like I never
injured it in the first place, you know. I mean
it's Scar tisser. I settled in. It's it's pretty farm.

Speaker 4 (56:40):
Who do you see as your biggest competition in the West?

Speaker 13 (56:43):
Oh?

Speaker 11 (56:43):
The West is absolutely loaded, and so we're going to
have our work cutout for ourselves.

Speaker 4 (56:47):
Are you getting comfortable being on the court at the
same time with Powell and Andrew? Well?

Speaker 11 (56:51):
Yeah, I mean it's easy for me. You know. We
have a system that we play out of and it's
just a matter of guys just falling into place and
playing with out of that framework.

Speaker 3 (56:59):
So there you go the pool is that?

Speaker 2 (57:03):
What year was that? Do you know? Eight?

Speaker 10 (57:06):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (57:06):
Two thousand and eight you talked about one of the
guys old school crazy.

Speaker 2 (57:12):
You know, we we we tend to make anyone that
ever ever dies, especially so suddenly and unexpected, like Kobe,
we tend to make him out to be better people
than they were and stuff. That's not the case. That
guy was a good guy. What a shame, What a
shame that that's so cool that you got and he
was so uh just so normal there. He wasn't in

(57:33):
a big loud tone, and you know, in the moment,
I just thought that that was really cool. That was
really You have that saved on your phone? I don't,
but I'll put it on there. Yeah, just need something
to have forever, you know. Yeah, really cool, really cool
and one of the nice guy to give you the
responses he gave you.

Speaker 4 (57:51):
He was, Yeah, he was awesome, crack because you know,
there was a swarm around Kobe as always of course,
and the PR guys like all that's enough for what.
Everybody started leaving and I just went up to Kobe
and he could have blown me off. He could have
been like, dude, sure done talking right, And he was
totally cool about it. So I was respected that about Kobe.
That was a really cool moment, you know, it's good.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
Yeah, great moment, great moment.

Speaker 4 (58:13):
I'll never forget crac the you know what you're talking
about with the tragic helicopter helicopter accident. I was watching
a game on my phone and an alert came on,
you know, of what happened. And my reaction was, that's wrong.
There's no way that can be true. Like, that's how
big Kobe was. I thought, he's like almost bulletproof. But

(58:37):
and it's that's just how iconic he was. That was
my first reaction of like, they have that wrong. That
just wouldn't happen, and it's it's so unfortunate it did.
And but what a life, right, Like, what a life
while he was still here? Yeah, and touched a lot
of people, you know, Yeah, and touched a lot of
people in his forty ish years on earth. And some

(58:59):
people live alone longer and never do that. So yeah,
you know, shout out to the mambo. All right, good stuff,
hardcore journalism, crack and also we've got a Christian Sippolini

This follow the money real good one, all.

Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
Right, Please to welcome in Christian Cipolini, senior trading manager
at BETMGM, joining us here. Good morning to you, Christian,
Happy Easter to you as well. Hope all is well
with you. National Championship game tomorrow night. Let's start with that,
you know, Danny Hurley yukon taking on Michigan. Michigan just
looks like a runaway freight train right now. Are you

(01:01:18):
gonna need Yukon pretty big in this game if you're
anticipating what the handle is going to look like come
tomorrow night.

Speaker 10 (01:01:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (01:01:26):
Yeah, I mean, as you mentioned, this should be a
really big game if we should have a really high
handle turnout.

Speaker 10 (01:01:31):
You know, two really good teams.

Speaker 16 (01:01:32):
You said, Michigan has been really really good and obviously
Dan Hurley getting back there again I think will be
pretty interesting and I think we'll have a really really
high handle game. With that, we have kind of two
things happening at once. From a future's perspective, Connecticut is
a losing outcome for the book, while Michigan is a winner,
and Michigan's actually a pretty decent winner too because they

(01:01:54):
were such low odds to win the championship for so long.

Speaker 10 (01:01:58):
But when we come to that specific game it's.

Speaker 16 (01:02:00):
Going to come up tomorrow, I do imagine that we're
going to have a lot more Michigan action.

Speaker 10 (01:02:04):
Than we will Yukon. A couple factors for that.

Speaker 16 (01:02:08):
For one, BETMGM has a pretty big presence in Michigan,
and you know we've seen over the years that they
tend to bet their hometown team, so we expect a
lot of betting action coming out of Michigan. And then also,
like you said, of them steam rolling. Typically when teams
do that, a lot of the betting public will jump
on and they want to get on the team that's
steamrolling teams.

Speaker 10 (01:02:27):
So I do expect us to have.

Speaker 16 (01:02:29):
A lot of Michigan action. So it'll be interesting to
kind of see how it all works out in the
end where we'll end up rooting. We will probably end
up still rooting Yukon, but I think it'll actually end
up being pretty close for us.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Hey Christian, you know, you guys just moves a full
point on the game. So when we came on area
at seven and a half, now you guys are down
to six and a half, and to be real blunt,
there's only one of the six and a half on
the whole board. So right now, are you looking for Michigan?
I mean someone is or something that there's a reason why.

(01:03:04):
I don't even know though, why would a book move
a full point there because of a big Connecticut bet
or you want to get some favorite money at this point,
or maybe you could tell us.

Speaker 16 (01:03:16):
Yeah, I mean, I have to go and check to
see what happens is that you said it happened while
we're talking here a lot of time with us, Yeah,
a lot of times with us. So I know we
were at seven and a half. I see a couple
sevens on the board. In a game like this, you
know there's not a too too big of a difference
between the six and a half and seven.

Speaker 10 (01:03:35):
So for us, we like to make it so that.

Speaker 16 (01:03:37):
You know, there's really no pushes if it does end
up falling on that exact number. So I'll have to
go back and check. But it may have just been
more of a preference basically, where we're to get a
lout of the market on seven, and we just kind
of make a choice between six and a half and seven.

Speaker 10 (01:03:50):
So I'll see what actually ended up happening.

Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Whenever I talk about a big game like this, in
a big moment like this, I always think that if
people are going to bet this very efficient line, I
think that they bet probably take the points now, and
then I think towards game time because the public is
really funny this year about money line dogs and money

(01:04:13):
line like so I think there'll be some Connecticut money
maybe maybe take then I would say recommend take Connecticut
now and then more towards game time or tomorrow at
some point or tonight. The Michigan's, as you could see
here at bet MGM, the best line in the world
right now if you want to bet, Michigan is right
here at bet MGM. So we'll see what happens.

Speaker 4 (01:04:33):
Brian, you know it's funny Christian Crack. You know he
bets good amounts of money, but he's not gonna go
like duffel Bag, like large, crazy amounts of money. But
I wouldn't put it past Crack to be somehow able
to do this show and enter in a large bet
simultaneously at a physical sports book that would cause the

(01:04:54):
line to movie. I would not put that past them
at all.

Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
Christian, You guys are funny because you know last night, Brian,
I sent you a ticket that I bet, so I
bet on the MGM app. I bet at Berg to
win the Masters. I think he's playing so good right now.
They had sixteen to one, the best odds out there.
There's fifteen and a half the ones. I've seen fifteen

(01:05:16):
to ones around town. But I bet on the app.
I bet the max. They gave me was sixteen hundred
at sixteen to one. So then I said, I know what,
I'm going to run down to one of the books.
I ran down to Cosmo the bet MGM sports book there,
said let me just see if they'll take five thousand.
It went right through, so it took another five thousand.
So this was because I'm going to be going to

(01:05:39):
the Masters, so I'm hoping he's a contention when I
get there on Friday night, and yeah, I have a
nice sweat there. Nice bets you guys took. Are you
expecting a lot of a lot of action on the Masters?
Do you get that every year?

Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (01:05:54):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 16 (01:05:54):
I mean it's Oberian's playing really well, so your BET's looking.

Speaker 10 (01:06:00):
Pretty decent. So definitely definitely out there for a real winner. Yeah,
of course.

Speaker 16 (01:06:04):
The grill Golf will pick up from the sportsbook perspective
next week with the Masters. These obviously it did such
a major tournament and it's obviously our biggest.

Speaker 10 (01:06:13):
Golf event of the of the of the year.

Speaker 16 (01:06:16):
Uh that someday when it, you know, the final day
of the Masters, that will be our most bet on
event of the day for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
Oh yeah, beton live people bet and live.

Speaker 10 (01:06:24):
Yeah, yeah, big time, very popular with golf.

Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
Schwartz will have his you know, hold the whole bets.

Speaker 4 (01:06:30):
Oh my god, he shall do that and I'll bet
the you know whatever, it's a part the eighth hole
or whatever. He'll have that going on. How about the
Lady Side Christian National Championship game tonight South Carolina u
C l A. Just while we've been doing the show,
it's moved a little bit. South Carolina up a point
to a four and a half point favorite, and the
totals tick down a point to one twenty seven and

(01:06:53):
a half. Can you give us an idea of, you know,
what the handle is like for a game like this
and all? So, how often do you see bigger bets
in a matchup like this tonight?

Speaker 10 (01:07:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (01:07:06):
From a from a bigger bets perspective, this is the
type of game that it will happen on if it will,
you know, I really haven't seen anything too too crazy
amount of time for the women's college hoops, but this
game in particular will be a very big game and
it will be bet on pretty highly, I would I
would imagine it's certainly within our top three events of
the day and has a pretty good chance of probably

(01:07:27):
being the top one, just just kind of looking at the.

Speaker 10 (01:07:29):
Schedule that we have today. It is also kind of
a week or slate with with not too too many
other big things going on.

Speaker 16 (01:07:36):
I think I mentioned on here that we expected to
handle for the women's side to really increase in the
final four, especially knowing that we had all four one
seeds get through, And we did see that we had
a significant handle increase on the games on Friday night,
and they kind of expecting that to roll into today.
So you know, these big ones, especially with these big teams,

(01:07:57):
and you know South Carolina is always a major player.
Of course the other night with Yukon, and there's some
storylines brewing there. So I think all of that will.

Speaker 10 (01:08:05):
Help end up driving handling. Yeah, I do expect it
to be one of our biggest events of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Christian, how was your action yesterday on the big two games?
Did you more than you expected? What you expected? And
I'm sure you guys had to do well on the day.

Speaker 16 (01:08:21):
Yeah, it was probably pretty similar to what I expected.
I mean, of course, also some pretty big games on
that side, and we were pretty fortunate that two things.

Speaker 10 (01:08:29):
Kind of happened there.

Speaker 16 (01:08:30):
Both spreads were really close, just one and a half points,
which had in a spot where people would end up
just kind of taking the dog on the money line
price and the favorite minus.

Speaker 10 (01:08:42):
One and a half.

Speaker 16 (01:08:43):
So with both sides of those games, so we ended
up having a lot more Illinois action, which is a
little bit surprising to me because you can't bet on
your team in state, so maybe some people went down
to Indiana.

Speaker 10 (01:08:55):
To watch the game. Yeah, but we did end up
with a lot more Illinois action, which is a little
bit surprising.

Speaker 16 (01:09:02):
So that game ended up okay, and then the Arizona
Michigan game ended up being a little bit of a wash.

Speaker 10 (01:09:09):
You know, more people took Michigan.

Speaker 16 (01:09:10):
On the money line, but way more on Arizona on
the spread, So a little bit back and forth, but both.

Speaker 10 (01:09:15):
Ends up okay.

Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
Outcomes.

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
Yeah, hence my saying Gods shocking ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:09:22):
Sorry, sorry, I'm just curious about the Lakers with you
guys at bet MGM. Right, A couple of injuries, Luca's
banged up, Hammy Austin Reeves probably done for the season
with an oblique I mean, it's kind of weird to
ask you, like, is that good for you? Guys, like
you're doing the Tiger Woods oblique. Yes, you know, fistball,

(01:09:42):
but I don't mean it like that. But is it
a good thing for BETMGM that the Lakers wouldn't do
anything come playoff time? Would that be a good outcome
for you guys?

Speaker 10 (01:09:53):
Yeah, but also a little bit of yes.

Speaker 16 (01:09:55):
And no, Like it probably would have been better for
the handle wise and everything if they had gone couple rounds.

Speaker 10 (01:10:01):
But the Lakers were far and away our.

Speaker 16 (01:10:02):
Biggest liability, as is most seasons where they are a
good team, we end up writing a ton of liability on. Obviously,
they have one of the most the biggest fan bases
in the world. So this NBA season is actually very
interesting when I'm looking at our futures book because almost
every team for us is a losing outcome, just kind

(01:10:24):
of stemming from the way that this has worked out,
where the Thunder have been such big favorites throughout the year.

Speaker 10 (01:10:29):
The Thunder have gotten the most action, the most bets.

Speaker 16 (01:10:32):
But at that low price point, it's still been okay
for the book. Now we have things like the Spurs
and the Celtics, who are your second and third favorite teams,
but you could have gotten a very good price on
both of those teams. Preseason, the Celtics were respected to
take a big step back, they made a lot of
trades and just continued on their winning ways and none
of that happened. And the Spurs, obviously with Wemby, have

(01:10:53):
dropped pretty significantly. So we took a good amount of
action on them, both of those teams early leading to liability.
So it's really just for us the Thunder and the
Calves and then the only teams that we have ability
on only because they their price is held pretty steady
throughout the year.

Speaker 4 (01:11:10):
Well, hey, Christian, good stuff as always. Man, hope you
enjoyed the rest of the day and we'll catch you soon.

Speaker 10 (01:11:16):
Yeah, I'm good. Good luck everybody.

Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
Yeah, same to you. There he is Christian Sippolini bet MGM,
Senior trading manager. Good stuff as always. That's crazy. I
normally don't hear that sentence from Christian, like, yeah, we're
pretty much gonna lose with all these other teams.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
That's unbelievable. Here I am saying God protects the bookmaker. Yeah,
I gotta get the bucket out. I got the bucket here,
I got the collection bucket here. That's right.

Speaker 5 (01:11:39):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
You know someone who does have a bleeding heart for
the sports books. That would be Isaac Lowen Croll. You
know we be front and center contributing to the collection
bucket if need be, I.

Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
Low with the latest.

Speaker 7 (01:11:50):
What's going on, Buddy, bleeding hearts, my knees bending both ways.

Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
You know, I just got to find a way to
pay on time. Hey and the men's Final War.

Speaker 7 (01:11:59):
On Saturday night, Michigan fans were bleeding tears of joy
because they trounced Arizona ninety one to seventy three by
at a career high twenty six from a die Mara.
Michigan has won every game in this NCAA tournament by
double digits. Earlier, you caught over Illinois seventy one sixty
two Terras Reid Junior seventeen points to eleven rebounds. You

(01:12:20):
caught the National Championship Game for the third time in
the last four years. Coming up today at three thirty
eastern the Women's National Championship Game between South Carolina and UCLA.
In Major League Baseball on Saturday night, Joe Adell of
the Angels robbed the Seattle Mariners of home runs three
separate times in a one nothing Angels victory. The best

(01:12:44):
one was the third and final one that he caught
while completely going into the stands in the right field corner.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
JP Crawford into the corner and.

Speaker 8 (01:12:59):
Word, jump down. He's having the night of his life.
He went into the crowd and just run.

Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
It's third.

Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Hold the crime. Finally, guys.

Speaker 7 (01:13:12):
In the National Hockey League on Saturday night, the Las
Vegas Golden Knights wanted Edmonton five to one, but the
game was more memorable for what was going on off
the ice at Rogers Place in Edmonton. Here's how it
sounded on Hockey Night in Canada. Breaking news.

Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
We have worded that someone has gone into labor here tonight.
There's a baby being born on the seventh floor at
Rogers Place as we speak, so someone's gonna have a
great story to tell. It would be nice to have
the mother join us in after hours to describe what's happened, but.

Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
That could be asking a bit much.

Speaker 7 (01:13:48):
Those are all the details we have as of now.

Speaker 3 (01:13:51):
But that's the most.

Speaker 7 (01:13:51):
Creative way I've ever heard to avoid ticketmaster fees.

Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
Back to you, guys, Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
I Low. It is Fox Sports Radio Scout.

talking about the Crown Tournament a little bit earlier in

(01:14:22):
the show. I just wanted to share a tweet from you.
This is one of our non trolls, you know, David
shout out to him, good dude, and he just wrote
last year at the Crown, a Husker fan literally bought
a ticket and his seat was on the Georgetown bench,
like right next to the coach, and he had Husker
gear on. It was incredible. They kept showing him on

(01:14:42):
TV drinking a beer. Los that's the Crown for you, right,
you just get a normal ticket. You're like, holy cow,
I'm shouldered to shoulder with the head coach.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:14:52):
They don't have a big turnout.

Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
You might be you might be on the court like
for the jump ball.

Speaker 4 (01:14:57):
He might be that he might be a partial ref
if you get a ticket to the Crown not a
great turnout, That's.

Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
Yeah, that is amazing. When we were talking about that
earlier for people that weren't there earlier, I just I
didn't hear anything about this Crown Tournament and it's down
the street from me, and it's in Vegas, and it's
the weekend, and I was like, what's going on here?
But then you kind of explain what happens in that situation,
and now I know.

Speaker 4 (01:15:23):
Yeah, yeah, they're like, uh, let's go see a band
that I've heard of, you know, Like typically, that's that's
the way it goes down. It's an event town, right,
and that's just not an event. It's not going to resonate.
That's the way it goes all right. He's Bill Krakenberger,
professional sports handicapper. I'm Brian know Jeff Schwartz vacationing in Mexico.

(01:15:45):
But he has phoned in, he has texted in some picks,
so we will share that with you coming up well
at the tail end of the show. He doesn't have
any props, I'll hit him up right now, like no props,
question mark, question mark, you know, maybe I'll throw a
prop our way as well. We got prop it up
right around the corner of the prop betting market trolls.

Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:16:04):
Yeah, you're gonna have to grin and barrett through that one.
I don't know what to tell you.

Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
Too much gambling talk.

Speaker 4 (01:16:08):
It's a gambling show. I don't know what to tell you.
But we will dissect the prop betting market. I've got
my eyes on a well known NBA player.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
We'll see what crack is feasted on, or at least
focused on. We'll get to that coming up.

Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
It's Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented presented by BETMGM. It
is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by Bett MGM.

Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
For over forty years.

Speaker 4 (01:16:32):
Ti rak has been helping customers find the right tires

Rack Play of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:16:49):
Jokich garted by Wimby He's on the right hand side,
backs him down in the paint, gets double ta fade away.

Speaker 3 (01:16:56):
God, oh my line.

Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
You know where that shot is never leads it by
four to one twenty nine.

Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
That's the way it sounded on Altitude Radio Network. The
Joker Nicola Jokic great fade away shot on Wemby. Faded
away Wemby. You know what, he's a pterodactyl man like
the wingspan is insane. And still Jokic hit the fade
away on Wemby. As the Nuggets beat the Spurs in overtime,

(01:17:28):
Spurs red hot crack. You know, not to get sidetracked.
We're gonna going to prop it up. But brief NBA talk,
you have your eye on the Spurs. You think the
Spurs could get it done here without Normally it's a
rite of passage. You normally have to fail a couple
of years and then you get somewhere. But you buying
the Spurs already.

Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
This young You know, I have some futures that I
that I'm rooting for. But you know it's funny how
I'm just not into the NBA like I should be.
Like like my my main guy, the other day he
sent me this, I swear and he sent me this.
I can't believe it. NBA is ending soon. I think
we're doing really well on our futures. I said, oh fantastic.

(01:18:09):
I had the tickets to my safe deposit box. I've
never even checked to see what was pending, and I'm
not sweating anything, so it's kind of funny that I
know I had. I know, I bet him. I sent
them all to you guys on the when I bet them,
and the Spurs were not part of that though. This
was like I have like some real long shots, but
I had some Knix things. The Spurs was a Golden

(01:18:32):
State under you know, I do have a season I
have so many of them now I'm looking now. I
had some season wins Golden State under Clippers, under Copelicans,
under I mean, there's so many different things. And then
of course then there's the San Antonio Spurs over so
that that's good. Yeah, so there is. I do have
a rooting interest. Now I don't even know, you know,

(01:18:53):
I know you're you're you know your teams in college?
Are the Spurs your team? All? You're one of your teams? Are?

Speaker 5 (01:19:01):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:19:01):
Man, always been a Bulls fan, always okay, Bulls fan,
brutal for so long. I also followed the Blazers closely
because I worked out there, but I hit on them.
That was my only futures. Bet a couple of really
on the Blazers season wind total adjusted season wind total.

Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
So they came through. So I'm good, good with you.

Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
Like I said, I gave you guys some some futures.
I never even knew I won the Spurs over until
like five days ago, Like I didn't even really know.
I'm you know, I'm a college fan. I rather watch
the like the college.

Speaker 4 (01:19:32):
You hit your you hit your groove, come playoff time
in the.

Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
And believe it or not, I love love a baseball game.
Nothing better Yeah then going out and sitting in a
baseball game and uh, you know, just like they always say,
baseball hot dogs, apple pie. I mean, they're nothing like
getting some cracker jacks and sitting back. But I want
to say, Bruce Ki, but I'd be lying, but you're
sitting back with a you know right, you know it's

(01:19:57):
just a cool atmosphere.

Speaker 4 (01:19:59):
Well, hey, I want you to sit back with some
prop it up right here, Crack.

Speaker 3 (01:20:04):
Prop it up player plays, sit back with a nice
cold canna prop it up? How about that crack? What
props do you like today?

Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
Well we are going to continue one thing I do play.
I do play the NBA props, and I do consistent.
I've had a really good run with NBA props over
the years, and believe it or not, going to the
big star here, Lebron James over twenty five and a
half point. I know it just sounds so square. It's
probably the most square prop I've ever given out on

(01:20:34):
this show. But hear me out here. The Lakers are
without Luca and Reeves, so that's literally fifty seven of
one hundred and fourteen points. They score a game, James
gonna need to. It's gonna need to take the lead
in the scoring air step up here. Also important game
for LA. They're trying to get lock in the three seats.
So there we go.

Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
Great minds, think alike here, crack, I've I've went with Lebron.
Also give me over thirty five and a half points
and assists. There's no Luca Hamstring, no Austin Reeves, oblique,
it's gonna be the Lebron James Show against the Dallas Mavericks.
So I'll go over thirty five and a half points
and assists. I'd love just to go over assists. They

(01:21:15):
don't have that as just that first quarter assist, so
you have to make that too. College hoops coming up?
Oh what's going on? Happy Sunday, Happy Easter to you.
Hope all is well. We will get to the championship
games break them all down. That's in just a minute
or so. With the iHeartRadio app, you can stream us

Speaker 3 (01:21:50):
The top of your screen.

Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
Crack.

Speaker 4 (01:21:52):
I feel a little guilty and a little creepy. I
think I fell in love with about two or three
different Arizona cheerleaders yesterday at the game. I'm way too
old for this to happen, you know what I mean.
And I have to throw our producer, Patty Sweeka under
the bus for a second. He's turning thirty one on Friday,

(01:22:12):
and he said, I'm feeling like I'm getting close to
forty now. I'm like, bro, you're here nowhere close to
forty right now, I did do that.

Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
How could you be thirty and say I feel like
I'm close to forty. I don't know my mind, I
don't know, man, man, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:22:31):
But you got me feeling creepy for you know, I'm
ready for this the bet mgm app crack. We're gonna
make our picks here momentarily here, but it's free. You
can pick Hayley or Hannah Cavender to win the one
on one showdown and if you're right, you get some
bonus bets right there. So we're gonna do this live
on the show here coming up, and they have a

(01:22:51):
picture of both both beautiful girls. I feel creepy, like, wow,
they look great. I'm like, I'm way too old to
even think that. Don't you feel this way?

Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
Crack?

Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
If we reach the age, of course, yeah, we're we're
creepy old guys.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
Now. The twins they're like, are how old in the twenties?
Early twenties?

Speaker 4 (01:23:07):
Yeah, probably early twenties. They're probably like, man, I'm getting
close to thirty, Like Patty. It's the Paddy math right there.
You know, they're thinking like Patty is no, Yeah, but
I think Paddy math is so good, dude, Patty's gonna
be like, if turns thirty two, He's I'm getting close
to fifty now He's gonna just bypass forty and think
that way.

Speaker 3 (01:23:28):
All right, Craig.

Speaker 4 (01:23:28):
How about Yukon Michigan for all the marbles Tomorrow night
Men's National Championship game? Total is well, the pointspread has
changed a little bit, like you mentioned with Christian Zippolini,
Michigan down to a six and a half point favorite.
So some Yukon money coming in, big dollars or respected
dollars on Yukon.

Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
Yeah, I'm actually excited for this one. I hope it's
a really good game. Though it's better than the points
spread dictates here. Yukon pretty big dog here. There are
seven almost everywhere we asked Christian, they were at that
seven and a half who went on air, even when
Christian went on air, and then they moved the full point.
So I'm guessing they took a large bet on Yukon
or they're just trying to entice some favorite money here.

(01:24:11):
I don't know this. He really didn't know because it
just happened. So and he's on Live with us, so
you kind of like I said, a pretty big dog here,
the biggest hunderdog they've been in three seasons. Michigan just
looks some so dominant, so dominant against Arizona. Yeah, uh,
They're expected to be able to handle Yukon pretty easily too.
I know Michigan stacked four or five guys who expect

(01:24:35):
to play in the NBA. Think about that, Jesus, but that,
but that injury, though, that Lettenburgh injury can really affect
them here. He's the obvious leader of the team and
best all around player. Anyone has ever turned an ankle
knows that the worst the worst of it's the next day,
next two to three days. So we will see very
quickly how effected he can be coming off this injury.

(01:24:57):
He will be in there, of course, but we'll just
see how fact if he can be. You also know
how disciplined and well coached Yukon is. They just don't
turn it over and make miss the many mental mistakes.
Really so of other teams. I know on paper they're
outmatched in this one. I get it, and I do
think Michigan is just a better team all around. But

(01:25:18):
I wouldn't expect what you saw in the Arizona Michigan
game yesterday. I think you come the slow down the
pace a little bit, make a half court game a
little bit more. Keep it closed. I don't have an
official play on this one yet, but I will most
likely be at least rooting on the dog before tips
off here. Probably a little bit regretting there was an

(01:25:39):
eight up there for a second yesterday. Yeah, probably a
little bit regretting that in jumping on that. But we'll
see where this line goes back to it. This can
definitely go back to seven and a half, so we'll
see what happens.

Speaker 4 (01:25:50):
Wow, crack, I'm just peeking at the team totals for
this game.

Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
Yeah, what would you guess?

Speaker 4 (01:25:56):
And what would you guess the Michigan team totally based
on what you've said, what you've seen from Michigan in
this tournament, in particular also last night and then also
the matchuplake you just mentioned Danny Hurley Yukon, They're going
to try to slow it down, going to try to
muck it up a little bit. All that in mind,
what do you think Michigan's team total is?

Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
And do you know something now that you're saying. I
have a friend of mine who bets the team totals?
I can't believe. Yesterday he had really good philosophy on
the games. He said, listen, both games, you can bet under.
That's how much money was coming in on team totals.
You could bet under on both team totals and get
plus money. What do you mean, he goes, Oh, you

(01:26:37):
could bet under. I don't know what you know, I
actually don't know, like seventy five and a.

Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
Half and whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
Yeah, you can go under plus nine where it's you know,
minus one ten and a lot of plays like that.
That's how much money was on the teams though. But
the Michigan team total, I didn't look seventy three and
a half someone.

Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
Yeah, you're you're pretty close.

Speaker 4 (01:27:00):
Yeah, it's just barely. It depends because they have all
these you know, seventy five and a half about close
to even money on both sides.

Speaker 3 (01:27:10):
It's minus a dollar twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:27:12):
On the over it'd be seventy six and a half
is minus a dollar five, right, So the juice is
just you know, it changes depending on a point one point.

Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
So I'm on the bad MGM app. Now do I oh, okay,
click on the game. I see okay, total points and
the oh, now, I see what you mean. There's options.
You know, my seventy three and a half is wrong.
It's over minus a dollar sixty five. There's there's alternate
team totals. Yep. So you can go over seventy three
and a half minus sixty five, or you can go

(01:27:44):
over seventy seven and a half and take a dollar
fifteen with those four points, I am going to probably
agree with my guy yesterday that game. I am not
looking to lay any big numbers. You know, these are kids.
This is a pressure spot, even though Connecticut's been there
many times and recently, I just can't lay numbers. Let's

(01:28:07):
look at Connecticut's over sixty six and a half minus
sixty five. Yeah, I can't do it. I can't. I
can't do that. I'd be looking that. It's four points.
It's two buckets that you can go over seventy and
a half and take a dollar fifteen. I'm looking to
go the other way though, I'm looking to in these
kind of spots, I'm always looking to go unders and

(01:28:27):
take plus juice. Not that I have an official play here,
but I'm looking to take juice rather than lay juice
in spots with these kids that some of them may
have never been in this kind of situation.

Speaker 4 (01:28:41):
It's one of these deals crack where you know, sometimes
breaking it down fundamentally does make sense. I understand that
styles make fights, it's all about the matchups. But if
you think about last night, how talented Arizona is offensively
and they barely score over seventy they score seventy three points,
and like, what's Yukon gonna do against that Michigan defense?

Speaker 2 (01:29:04):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:29:04):
Like, if Arizona's good for seventy three, sure, Like what's
Yukon good for?

Speaker 3 (01:29:09):
Are they reaching the seventies? I'm not sure they even
get there.

Speaker 4 (01:29:13):
I'm really interested to see what Terris Reid can do
against those towers the length of Michigan in that front court.
That's gonna be a great matchup. And then it's Braylan Mullens,
Like how well is he doing from outside? How much
is he a threat? How many threes can he hit?
He hit four last night against Illinois, One was banked in,

(01:29:36):
but he had a huge three down the stretch to
really seal the game. So he seemed pretty comfortable all
things considered. But it's really it's Mullins it's got to
be Terras Reid and it's just going to be a
random assortment of scoring from Yukon. But I can't imagine
they're gonna be filling it up against Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:29:53):
Right, Yeah, you know, And that's dictated in the line here.
So we just said it in the the total Connecticut
team toll. The median number, which is the number that
most of the sportsbooks are going to use MGM, is
sixty eight and a half. So you're right, are they
going to reach into the seventies? Well, all the odds
don't say that, The bookmakers don't say that.

Speaker 4 (01:30:13):
Yeah, that's exactly right. How about the lady's side crack
Tonight we got South Carolina UCLA. South Carolina favored by
four and a half. Total is one twenty seven and
a half? Anything you like on that? Let me check
the Schwart syndicate. He might have a play on this one.

Speaker 2 (01:30:29):
I think he see what he says. But I'll give
you a little breakdown here that this should be actually
be a good one today. South Carolina three and a
half point favorite, the total down, like you said, around
one twenty seven. I actually put it out yesterday under
one twenty nine. And a half on this one, so
I actually.

Speaker 4 (01:30:46):
Go, look at you nice yeah giving out plays eleven.

Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Yeah, put that out in yesterday. Just figured this is
where the value would be it. Most of these women
have games have really been pretty slow or pretty dead unders.
In the last two rounds, refs have really been letting
them play here, not calling so many fouls, letting the
girls be physical. All the experience is on the South
Carolina side to here. Coach Staley has been to seven

(01:31:13):
Final Force and has won three national championships. U c
LA did play the Final four last year, so they
shouldn't be in like deer in the headlight mode. But
I don't know if they have what it takes to
beat this South to South Carolina team more, you know there.
The situation here with this game is I just like

(01:31:34):
what I what I seen from the last I had
a future that one of my prop guys games that
was only available at one of the books here in town.
So I was rooting against Yukon the Yukon girls there,
and I liked what I seen from South Carolina there
as a big underdog to beat them out right.

Speaker 4 (01:31:50):
Schwartz syndicate, Yeah, Schwartz syndicate likes u c l A
plus four and a half, okay is what he hit
me with. So there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:31:57):
That's a nice, nice life.

Speaker 4 (01:31:59):
Shout out Lauren Bey's right, yeap and backing her makes
a lot of sense. Makes a lot of sense to
back her. But we'll see, Man, South Carolina very impressive
against Yukon. When you can you can stop a fifty
four game winning streak and beat Yukon by fourteen points.
They didn't just beat them like. They beat them handily

(01:32:19):
in that game, So obviously gonna be tough to beat
South Carolina going for another title under Dawn Staley.

Speaker 3 (01:32:26):
But UCLA is good too, man, Lauren Betts.

Speaker 4 (01:32:29):
Is a very good player, and uh, we'll just see
if UCLA has enough offense.

Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:32:34):
I swear I still will have nightmares for the next
two weeks that UCLA win over Texas. It's brutal, crack
Like Madison Booker is a really good player for Texas.
She shot three for twenty three from the field. Crack,
she couldn't buy one. It was a nightmare performance, really unfortunate.
But man, that game was okay, it was a wreck.

(01:32:56):
I just hope we get a good game on the
men's or the women's side. We're due for a good
game because we have not had any once we got
to the final four.

Speaker 3 (01:33:03):
There hasn't been one.

Speaker 2 (01:33:06):
Yeah, no, no, no question. I'm looking at the different
I'm just looking right now at the South Carolina line.
So I see some three and a half's out there,
and then there is fours and MGM and there's like
a two or three four and a half. So MGM
is the four and a half. And that's where Schwartz
said he bet this, so he has action. Now. The

(01:33:29):
question is this game starts at twelve thirty, so that
that's my time here, and right it's the same time
where Jeff is so right about that time, he'll have
a my tie on the beach with one of his
little pink shirts and the wife attached, you know, the
handcuffs from the wife attached to him. How does it
get away to watch any of this? Does he just

(01:33:50):
like act like he's looking at the sun and the
fun Yeah, and then just peek at the phone and
say all right, come on come on girls. Oh yeah, hi, honey, Yes,
I'll take an ax to drink. Yeah, give her whatever
she wants, give her a double trying to get her
loaded so he can. I really don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:34:06):
I think that you know what. I think this is
why Jeff is an EDM fan. You know, he likes
the electronic dance music and he's mentioned this before.

Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
He'll go out.

Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
Yeah, that's how he gets away with it. Like he
buys some like credits if you will, so he can
watch women's college hoops or whatever sporting event. He buys credit,
you know, through ed M. I think that's how it works.

Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
It's so easy to give someone a hard time when
they're not here. The only question, the only thing is
I do it when he's on air.

Speaker 4 (01:34:39):
I know that's the funny And we'd say the exact
same thing if you were here, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
My life is based on busting you know what, busting
your stones. You know, it's fun. It's fun to make fun.
I make fun of myself. It's fun. It's nice to
get up and smile and laugh and you know, uh,
full around and it's just it's fun to do it.
And they to day go by quicker and people that
get up serious every day and every day is a

(01:35:04):
shame constant grind and it's just tough. It's tough. It's
tough to do. You gotta have some laughter in your life,
so you do it.

Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
No, it's good advice, crack because if we had a
couple of trolls today. I think not to be too
philosophical here, but sometimes you just you don't know how
you sound anymore, you know what I mean? Like you
don't even realize until someone points it out, Like, bro,
you're negative about everything. Do you realize that You're? Like wow,
I guess, yeah, I didn't know. Wouldn't that happened? But

(01:35:33):
I think you're right. But yeah, every now and then,
some people need to be pointed out.

Speaker 2 (01:35:36):
You're right.

Speaker 4 (01:35:37):
It's better to have a smile on your face, crack
a joke, bust some stones, as you would say, like yeah,
no doubt, crack absolutely. He's Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper.

(01:36:22):
what does it mean for a couple of players? And
more drama with this team Unreal.

Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
We'll get into both of those stories. Coming up.

Speaker 4 (01:36:31):
It's Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM.

Speaker 3 (01:36:35):
Smells like ball.

Speaker 4 (01:36:38):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM. BETMGM

million dollars in bonus bets. And I'm doing this right now, crack,
I am picking Hailey Cavender. She's wearing black in the picture.
I normally wear all black, So let's get it Hailey Cavender.

(01:37:49):
And uh, you know, Hannah looks great too in her
you know, white get up. I feel like I should
apologize to them. I'm outside their age bracket if I
was the young age of our producer Patty Sweeka, who's
still thirty years old, and maybe it wouldn't be as bad.
But sorry Cavender Twins, you know, for saying you look good.

Speaker 2 (01:38:08):
You look great.

Speaker 3 (01:38:09):
But I'm in on Haley.

Speaker 4 (01:38:11):
You're gonna make a pick here, crack, it's free, listen, free,
you get bonus.

Speaker 2 (01:38:14):
Simple. You see the clothes I wear? You see right now?

Speaker 3 (01:38:17):
Yeah, you're all all black all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
Yeah, and I'll wear navy blue. But uh yeah, black
is where is the clothes are chewed, my caangles are black,
and I guess I'll have to go with you.

Speaker 4 (01:38:28):
There you go, Haley, Yeah, good guys wear black. The
white sox perfect with Hawk Harrelson right there at all
ties to how about we stick with the silver and
black if you will, because I want to get your
thoughts on this. The Raiders they signed Kirk Cousins. It's
basically a one year deal for twenty million dollars, fully guaranteed.

(01:38:50):
That's essentially what the deal is.

Speaker 2 (01:38:51):
Well, he's been a lot of money and a lot
of money ten years.

Speaker 4 (01:38:55):
Over the course of his career at a lot of
guaranteed dollars. We're approaching nearly four hundred million dollars Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 3 (01:39:03):
Kirk Cousins is.

Speaker 2 (01:39:04):
Made over the years one hundred million.

Speaker 4 (01:39:05):
Yeah, pretty close.

Speaker 2 (01:39:06):
Jesus.

Speaker 3 (01:39:07):
What do you think.

Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
About this move, Crack, I mean bird's eye view.

Speaker 3 (01:39:11):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (01:39:12):
You don't have to rush Fernando Mendoza out there week one.
It makes sense. But at the same time, Crack, let
me bring betting into this. Sorry for the betting trolls
out there. Too much betting. This will make complete sense
in your mind, Crack.

Speaker 3 (01:39:27):
If you.

Speaker 4 (01:39:29):
Have a let's say, a future's bet and you stand
to win a pretty good amount of money and you
love your position.

Speaker 3 (01:39:36):
Are you hedging?

Speaker 4 (01:39:38):
Are you betting the other way just to guarantee yourself
a profit?

Speaker 2 (01:39:43):
Me personally, I don't. I'm not a hedge guy. Yeah,
so it's going to be no, I am not, and
maybe you're you're no, I'm not yours. Maybe some of
the listeners will think my take is different than their.
So I think this is a good move from the Rukers.
I never really say perfect, but this may be a
perfect move for them. Raiders are known for making some

(01:40:05):
really bad free agent and draft moves, so they'll now
draft Mendoza with the first pick. Then he won't be
forced into action. He can learn from Cousins off well,
on and off the field. I should say. Cousins and
Mendoza really seemed to have been cut from the same
kind of.

Speaker 3 (01:40:22):
Yeah right yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:40:24):
Personality wise, both very religious guys, and if you heard
a lot about the interviews, they really do seem almost
like like the same person.

Speaker 2 (01:40:32):
So I like that. Yeah, Cousin gets another, like you said,
high dollar amount of contract. He's actually this is unbelievable
looking at this real quick. He's made more money in
his career than Tom Brady. That's why Cousins have one
career playoff win. But this situation is totally different for him.
He's not expected to come in and carry the franchise.

(01:40:55):
I think will be a great mentor to Mendoza and
that this is a perfect really situation for him in
a good move Weather Raiders.

Speaker 4 (01:41:03):
How about because I knew the answer to that first question, crack,
you're not a hedger, But how about this, Let's say
I don't know, like I know, you made a ton
of money on Polo Bancaro being the first overall pick. Right,
if there's something along the same lines, like let's just
say you had a future's bet on Michigan and you

(01:41:23):
stand to win a boatload of money, all right, like
huge money. Would you look to hedge a little bit
and take Yukon plus six and a half for instance?

Speaker 2 (01:41:34):
Could you do it in now? If you're saying the
bet was made at the beginning of the season, yeah,
or even I'll even say the midway point and I
made a bet on a team and I got back
X amount times my bet. Well, I just look at this.
If I'm making a future bet. Let's say my average

(01:41:54):
BET's one hundred dollars, and let's say my future bet
is going to be one hundred dollars. Well, I'm betting
one hundred to win whatever five hundred, beting one hundred
to win five hundred, it's five bets for me. That's
like going five and zero in a day. If I win,
that's not out of the question, so that I can
do that. So I don't like hedging because now you're

(01:42:16):
betting a negative ev bet and I but if I
do hedge, because I do understand there are thirty and
forty to one shots that now you're getting back forty X. Well,
now I say, okay, you want to hedge a little bit,
get back a little bit of money either way, lock
up a little bit of a profit one way, but
still have extra money on your side that you originally bet.

(01:42:39):
Here's what I say. Though I want to make a
hedge that I can win both ways, I do not
want to hedge taking the money line back the other way,
even though it'll be a greater amount of money than
I originally was getting on the other side. I would
say a situation is to take back the six and
a half or seven points on the dog and hope

(01:42:59):
to win both. If I'm going to make a hedge,
I'd like to be in a situation where I can
win both. I just don't like the hedge bet auto
hedge bet unless situations have changed. There's it maybe to
be a weather in a game, or more importantly, injuries
or something something that happened that I didn't foresee happening before,
or wasn't the situation before, and I'm just lucky to

(01:43:21):
be in the situation I am. Now.

Speaker 4 (01:43:23):
Well, that's why I put all that out there, crack,
because that's what I think relates to this Kirk Cousins story. Right,
with Kirk Cousins being signed by the Raiders, what the
Raiders are basically doing is hedging their bet that they're
going this huge bet they're making on Fernando Mendoza. They're
hedging with Kirk Cousins, right, They're hedging a little bit where, hey,

(01:43:45):
they don't have to throw out Mendoza week one. We
can take our time, we can let them ease into
this thing, digest the playbook, get comfortable. They're hedging their
bet on Fernando Mendoza, and I don't think that's stupid,
but I think it's telling, right, if you were the
Raiders and you're totally over the moon, like Mendoza is

(01:44:06):
the guy. This guy is as close to a no
doubt or as possible. I don't think they're signing Kirk Cousins, right,
So I think it's telling to a degree that they're
high on Mendoza, but not over the moon high. And
they're hedging a little bit with Kirk Cousins, which I
think is a smart move. But it's also telling that

(01:44:26):
you're not just over the top giddy like this is
our guy for the next fifteen years at least the
next ten years. It's like, yeah, we think highly of him,
But this move is telling at the same time, right,
it's a hedge.

Speaker 2 (01:44:40):
I'm looking over on bet MGM. The Las Vegas Raiders
regular season wins, which were five and a half over
twenty is now five and a half over thirty five.
I made a copy of this one that came out,
so five and a half over thirty five on the
win side. But to make the playoffs, wow, to make them.
If you want to say no that Raiders were in,

(01:45:02):
the Raiders will not make the playoffs. Lay twelve to one.
I can't lay twelve to one on anything. I just can't.
Now the TakeBack of seven to one, I'm not looking
to take either, but I just can't lay twelve to
one on a team making the play, even though they
probably should be somewhere around there. I just don't like

(01:45:22):
laying big favorites my whole life. I'm just an underdog guy,
and I know that's wrong. By the way, I have evolved,
just like what NFL props. I used to play, you know,
seventy five percent unders, and now I play about sixty
percent unders I find over the years, so I have
evolved a little bit. The public does like taking some
money line dogs, especially during the Super Bowl here. Usually

(01:45:45):
this year with the Seattle it was not, but normally
the Las Vegas is the best place to get money
line underline. I'm sorry, money line favorites. You want to
bet it in Las Vegas because the public loves betting
the underdog. Oh, the public has bet some underdog stuffy
they you know, kind of root for things and so
sometimes you could catch some good odds. Laying the money.

(01:46:08):
This spot is just not for me.

Speaker 4 (01:46:09):
Yeah, no, all fair, All right, crack, we'll get to
more dysfunction from a team and even worse dysfunction from
another team. You'll love both of these stories. That's on
the way first though, Isaac Loewenkron, speaking of love, how
can you not love?

Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
I love?

Speaker 4 (01:46:27):
He's the biggest tipper this side of the Mississippi.

Speaker 7 (01:46:31):
Yeah right, even more than Tiger Woods, as we have
found out anecdotally. Apparently according to according to lore, Michigan
adding to its athletic lore and the lore of the
Big ten because in the Final four on Saturday night
at Indianapolis, they cruise passed Arizona ninety one to seventy three,
bind a dime.

Speaker 3 (01:46:50):
Morrow scored a career high twenty six points.

Speaker 7 (01:46:53):
So Michigan has won each game of this NCAA tournament
by double digits, and they're the first team ever to
break nineteen points five times in a single NCAA tournament.
Before that, Yukon defeated Illinois seventy one sixty two Terras
Reid Junior seventeen points and eleven rebounds. Yukon back of
the national championship game for the third time in four years.

(01:47:14):
Coming up today at three thirty Eastern, it's the women's
national championship game between South Carolina and UCLA in baseball
Saturday night, literally one of the greatest defensive performances in
a single game ever. Joe Adell of the Angels robbed
the Seattle Mariners of home runs three different times in
a game in which the Angels won won to nothing,

(01:47:36):
and the third one was the best of them all.

Speaker 3 (01:47:40):
JP Crawford into the corner and there's no words.

Speaker 8 (01:47:48):
Shoot Den, He's happy the night of his life be
r into.

Speaker 3 (01:47:54):
The crown and just run his third hold the drums.

Speaker 7 (01:48:00):
So it would have been amazing enough to do that
in like a twelve six game or a seven to
three game, but to do it in a one nothing game.
Each of those three home run saving plays saved the
game for his team. One other baseball note, Los Angeles
Dodgers star Mookie Betts not in today's lineup at Washington

(01:48:20):
after leaving yesterday's victory due to right lower back pain.

Speaker 3 (01:48:23):
Guys, are yours? Thank you?

Speaker 4 (01:48:25):
I lo it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by

Players can pick game spreads for the chance to win
a share of five hundred thousand dollars in bonus bets
awarded throughout the tournament. Players with the most correct picks
each round will win a share of that rounds prize pool.
All right, crack, how about this? Stop me if you've
heard this before. More dysfunction with the Philadelphia Eagles, Are.

Speaker 2 (01:48:56):
You kidding me? So?

Speaker 4 (01:48:57):
Now there's this story that came out from ESPN. It
indicates that Jalen Hurts, their quarterback, was considered the quote
root cause of the team's offensive dysfunction in twenty twenty five.
How about that considered the root cause? Think about how
much negativity there was about the old offensive coordinator, Kevin Patulo.

(01:49:18):
But now it comes out where it's Hurts. He's considered
the root cause. Actually, and sources told the ESPN anonymous
team sources. You have to have that right, anonymous team
sources here they told the ESPN that Hurts quote had
a hand in the offense becoming calcified end quote. It's like,
what what does that mean? By pushing back on changes

(01:49:41):
designed to modernize the scheme and a reluctance to take
in game coaching. So this is basically a Jalen Hurts
smear campaign. What do you make of this, Kragitz? I mean,
the Eagles are It sounds like the Eagles win only
six games each year.

Speaker 3 (01:49:58):
You know, it's like this.

Speaker 4 (01:49:59):
Story c then that story comes out in this anonymous source.
There's so much noise and drama with the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (01:50:06):
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
I'm not surprised to have more drama coming out of Philly.
It just never stops over there. First this problem was Brown.
Now they're saying that it Hurts with the problem. I
think you just have to give Hurts the benefit of
the doubt in this one. He's had a great career
so far, won a Super Bowl already. Maybe the issue
is in the coaching staff not being able to keep
the players together on the same page at any rate.

(01:50:30):
This will be interesting to see what happens for the Eagles.
If they start struggling this season, it could be a
completely fall apart season. You know what I think they need.
I think they need to sit down right down the
corner there, Skinny Joey's cheese Steaks had to sit down
right there on the benches and let Joey and the
crew here, you know, straighten these guys out and have
a good cheese steak along the way.

Speaker 4 (01:50:52):
Our guy Russ, who's a diehard Eagles fan. You understand
how much he hates me each time I talk about
Hurts just being a guy. You can feel his face
turned red when I throw that in there, crack right, Like,
I'm not the only one who feels that. But look,
it's a weird career for Jalen Hurts because he's been

(01:51:13):
spectacular on the biggest stage. He played great in the
Super Bowl win against the Chiefs. He played great in
the Super Bowl loss against the Chiefs. Right, But aside
from those huge performances on the super Bowl stage.

Speaker 3 (01:51:26):
He's just a guy.

Speaker 4 (01:51:28):
Like He's got an outstanding supporting cast. He's had arguably
the best offensive line in football. Not last year they
took a step back, but for the last couple of
seasons prior to last year, best offensive line. Arguably the
best running back in Saquon Barkley. Look at the weapons
he's got to throw to AJ Brown, Davonte Smith, Dallas Godder.

(01:51:49):
You got talent all over the place, and you're putting
up pedestrian numbers.

Speaker 3 (01:51:53):
Every single year. I just think he's closer.

Speaker 4 (01:51:56):
To a guy than something special like this report and
the root cause and all.

Speaker 3 (01:52:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:52:01):
Maybe there's something to it, but I'm just going by
what I see on Sundays, what's going on during the week.

Speaker 3 (01:52:07):
I don't know. I can't speak to that.

Speaker 2 (01:52:08):
Let's just text me he's like this, Brian.

Speaker 4 (01:52:12):
Remind me to get this bum off the show. While
we're talking about dysfunction though, crack, how about this one
the Buffalo Sabers with them clinching a playoff berth, this
now means that the New York Jets they have the
longest active playoff drought in North America. Yeah, we're talking
fifteen years. Gang Green has not been in the playoffs

(01:52:35):
for that long. How about the Sabers. Shout out to them.
They started the year crack eleven, fourteen and four. Wow,
here we go, fifteenth straight year no playoffs. No, they rallied.
They're now tied for first place in the Atlantic Division.
That's how good they've been. And so they easily made
the playoffs. And that leaves the Jets as the loan

(01:52:56):
standing longest active drought in North America.

Speaker 3 (01:53:00):
How about that? Jet.

Speaker 2 (01:53:03):
This may be the worst run franchise in the entire
in the entire NFL. It doesn't seem like that's going
to change anytime soon. They're big problem over the last
two decades has been the quarterback. I mean, I just
don't know what they're gonna do here. What are they
gonna do with the draft? You know, I want to
tell you something though, there are some die hard Jet

(01:53:23):
fans there. I don't just mean the Fireman two that
shows up at the games there, which he's always great,
real fireman if I remember right, But yeah, they have
such hardcore fans in New York and the Jets and
the Giants. But the Jets fans just seem more blue
collar to me. They're not as you know, the Giant fans.

(01:53:46):
You know, they seem to have a little bit more money.
Jet fans are the guys that are the guys that
go to work every day. They come home, they want
to drink a beer roof of their team, maybe go
to a game of year if they can afford to go.
Tickets are always out of control, doesn't matter if they're
that bad their team, you know, over met Life there,
tickets are just always crazy, you know, I lived in
that area, so I know I lived in that area

(01:54:07):
for thirty years. So I just look at this franchise.
Like I said, look at this team, and I feel
bad for a lot of the fans that you could
just see in their faces, their expressions. They go in
every year with high hopes, kind of like the met
fans New York Mets, but the Mets are actually picked
to do good every year. I'll put the Mets and

(01:54:29):
the Jets together, and the Yankees and the Giants together,
like the New York the Football Giants. That's the fan
base you have. You're either one or the other two.
And it's same thing with the Mets. Though every year
they've been picked to be in the World Series ninety
three and a half wins overrun, it just seems to
fall apart at the very end. So you know, I

(01:54:49):
just don't know what to do. I don't know what,
but I just don't know what they're going to do.
And like I said, this is over two decades with
the quarterback problems.

Speaker 3 (01:54:57):
Oh it's been brutal.

Speaker 11 (01:54:58):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:54:58):
By the way, did you know I went to the
bathroom next to firemanhead. This sounds weird, nothing weird. Whatsoever.
But I was at a colts game. You know, we're
we're doing our business at the urinal, and I you know,
the rule is you stare straight ahead. I couldn't help
but see like this obnoxious hat. I just look over
to the side. It's fireman ad.

Speaker 3 (01:55:18):
I didn't say anything. I should have been like, fight.

Speaker 4 (01:55:20):
You're the guy fire I didn't say anything.

Speaker 3 (01:55:22):
I'm like, it's kind of weird.

Speaker 4 (01:55:24):
I didn't say anything at all. But how about the Jets.
The no to make the playoffs minus fourteen hundred, you
gotta lay fourteen hundred, probably fourteen.

Speaker 2 (01:55:35):
The Jets more than more than the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (01:55:38):
This is this is an interesting nugget, though, Crack.

Speaker 3 (01:55:41):
How about this.

Speaker 4 (01:55:41):
So the Jets their record over this fifteen year span
where they haven't made the playoffs eighty six and one sixty.
So they're they're winning less than thirty five percent of
their games. That's thirtieth among the thirty two teams. The
two teams below the Jets in that fit fifteen year span.
How about this the Browns and the Jags. Jacks are

(01:56:06):
just in the playoffs. Both team has been in the
playoffs multiple times. Yeah, Jacksonville worse than the Jets over
these last fifteen years. Pretty crazy, huh yep, interesting stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:56:15):
All right.

Speaker 4 (01:56:16):
He's Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. I'm Brian No. Coming
up next, rapid Fire. We each have some plays for you.
Crack will have his play of the day bonus the
short Syndicate. He weighs in a couple of plays that
he likes. We'll get all that until you. Coming up next.

Get all of our picks, all that good stuff. By
the way, significant update here, crack. How about this before
we get to our picks. Beat Thamil of ESPN. He
just put it out there. Yukon guard solo ball starting guard.
He will not practice today. That's what head coach Dan

(01:57:42):
Hurley says. Solo ball is in a walking boot. So
that's not good, averaging about thirteen points per game. So
it's not just the Lendeborg injury situation. Now we have
solo ball to consider as well. With that, let's get
into the picks.

Speaker 3 (01:57:57):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (01:58:01):
Rapid fire.

Speaker 4 (01:58:03):
Okay, we start with you crack with something you like.

Speaker 2 (01:58:06):
All right, let's go to baseball. When there's in baseball
plays here, it's baseball season, Live dog here, Big Dog.
One of the worst teams in baseball, everyone says, the
Colorado Rockies plus a dollar forty at home against the
Phillies today. I think they can hang in there, keep
it closer and hopefully get a nice money line.

Speaker 4 (01:58:24):
Dog, I'm gonna go with this Lakers MAVs game. No
one's defending anyone, crack. There's no defense being played today.
Give me the first half over one nineteen and a half.
Gonna be a score fest the MAVs. The MAVs have
been allowing point totals that will give you nightmares if
you're betting unders in any capacity.

Speaker 3 (01:58:45):
Right, there's one.

Speaker 4 (01:58:46):
Thirty eight seven two like, they just give it up
huge numbers. So I like the first half over in
that one. By the way, before we get to your
play of the day, how about some plays from the
Schwart Syndicate.

Speaker 3 (01:58:57):
I know you're in the market for this crack, so.

Speaker 4 (01:59:00):
We gave this out before we mentioned that he's on
UCLA plus four and a half on the lady side
Ladies Championship game tonight against South Carolina. He's got Oklahoma
in the crown. You're gonna be court side for that, right, crack.

Speaker 2 (01:59:14):
I'm gonna miss it today. I was planning to go,
but decided to walk the dog instead.

Speaker 3 (01:59:20):
That's right, Louis needs this exercise.

Speaker 4 (01:59:22):
Schwartz says, Oklahoma minus three and a half and for
tomorrow night, he's got Michigan. He's laying it minus six
and a half taking on Yukon right there. So not
a believer in Dan Hurley and Yukon plus the points
or really just a believer in Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:59:38):
He's laying Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:59:39):
You said, yeah, he's laying Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:59:40):
The best place in the world right now as we speak,
still minus six and a half at bet MGM. So
if you're betting that favorite bet MGM, maybe your place
to bet it, especially because it's the best line in
the world. Always good to have bet MGM right at
your fingertips. Here what there is? They put up some
unique lines. Listen, I just told you guys that how

(02:00:02):
much money I bet on the Masters on a Berg
to win, Aberg to win. And I looked this morning
when I was I went and looked again. They did
not even after I put a pretty large bet on it.
The line is still sixteen to one. So sixteen to
one might be a nice little future be for you.

Speaker 4 (02:00:20):
Guys sticking to their guns. Right, there's Cracks play of
the day.

Speaker 3 (02:00:23):
Let's do this. This is the best play of the day.
It's all right, Crack. What is it?

Speaker 2 (02:00:31):
You know? A couple of things here. I see it
at MGM. I see the Michigan Connecticut game. I told
you I had under for a couple other games, but
they have the best line. Also on the I like
the under on I lean to the under here. This
is not my best play today, but I leaned to
the Connecticut Michigan under first half. A little tighter coming
out there. As far as baseball goes, let's go with

(02:00:52):
the Astros over ten runs today, Houston Astros game on
the over ten ten flat.

Speaker 4 (02:00:58):
Okay, how about couple of props I'll throw your way.

Speaker 3 (02:01:01):
Crack.

Speaker 4 (02:01:01):
How about Lindeborg under six and a half rebounds, lays
along the perimeter quite a bit, ankle, knee, I don't
know how many rebounds. How about Alex Caraband to go
over twelve and a Half's been quiet the last couple
of games.
