Speaker 5 (00:41):
Your PAGA Championship already underway. Puck on the mic, Paul
Always on the mic. NBA Playoffs Game seven today?
Speaker 4 (00:51):
What more could you want? Huh? Where else would you
rather be?
Speaker 6 (00:55):
That?
Speaker 4 (00:55):
I can't do that the Buffalo Bill's thing.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Can't do that.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Can't do that is a fince fan. Good morning, Jeff,
Good morning, crackle Ball as well.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Everything good good morning.
Speaker 7 (01:03):
I am I am punched you this morning. I uh
Josea Savannah. Last night saw Savana Mana's play with my kids.
A ton of fun rob four o'clock this morning, drove
back to Charlotte four hours uh to do a show
with you guys, because I love you guys, and I'm
not missing a show. The w NBA needs a new statistician.
I volunteer for that job. Please, I'll sign up for
(01:23):
that job. Crack. I don't know if you saw this,
but they just didn't credit Caitlin Clark with to assist.
And I better have a double double and I would
have had that wager would have hit. That would give
her too, like she literally handed the ball to Kelsey
Mitchell who made a three and then it counted as
an assist. I don't know Bryant's on the video. Yeah,
(01:44):
I don't know. I don't know. I mean a ton
of money I lost, but would have been nice. I
had Canadians last night that didn't go very well. Uh
so I'm not old for my life and betting on horses.
I only had. I only had one one wager on
someone to window.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Now I have a question that you Yeah, you just
wait a minute and hold it time out. You had
the Canadians last night, But don't you get my Texas right?
Speaker 7 (02:08):
Yes? I should?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Oh my god, I have Buffalo plus a dollar fifty
on a sendout.
Speaker 7 (02:13):
Maybe maybe I didn't get him last night.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
He's I also couldn't wait.
Speaker 7 (02:19):
Also couldn't wager in the current state I was in.
By the way, I.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Gotta tell I gotta tell my assistant take Jeff off
the list right now.
Speaker 7 (02:25):
I don't have a I don't have a I don't
have you aler.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Told the assistant to take me off the list.
Speaker 7 (02:30):
I don't have any alerts.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I know.
Speaker 7 (02:31):
I got no alerts on the old the old thing here,
no alerts on the old thing. Well app was active
none Nonetheless, I uh yeah, it's uh. The w w
A thing kind of pissed me off because then people
went back and from other video Brian to show the
other stats that they're like miscounting stats in games, which
(02:54):
if you want to be big time, you gotta count
stats correctly.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Yeah you have to.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, you just have to. That's that's bad. Especially but
you guys both seen it, right, I mean it was like.
Speaker 7 (03:04):
One of them. You can argue that the ball was tipped,
and maybe that doesn't count as assist, but even then
the ball was directly being thrown to the player and
the tip had nothing to do with the effect of
the play. The second one crash, she literally handed the
ball to Kelsey Mitchell like like a little pitch behind
and she makes it three and like that's like that
didn't count as an assist. So yeah, a lot of things.
(03:26):
The golfers yesterday, just if I bet on you, that's
why you lost them. Sorry, it's my fault if you
had a bad day yesterday, it's just it's on me.
It's on me. But that it's all right now you want.
I woke up before this morning, Joe, four hours back
to Charlotte's. I've been oh yeah, right right, ready to go,
So just unpunching. Hey, guys, don't uh, don't bring up
(03:50):
rest disparity for scheduled NFL schedule. We're gonna have a
long discussion about that.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
I don't want to hear that today.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
If that happens, all right, no problem, I can I
can adhere to those guys lines.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
That's fine. You know, I hate to bring this up.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Well, well, you're a little punchy, as you say, Jeff,
But I'll make you a deal. Okay, if we talk
about this guy who you're not incredibly fond of talking about,
if we talk about him for the next four minutes,
we don't talk about him next.
Speaker 7 (04:18):
I don't know which This could be a list of many.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Well it could be, but I think there's one that's
pretty high on the list. Four minutes, no more discussion,
Rodgers once, that's right, your boy, Aaron Rodgers going back
to the Pittsburgh Steelers and he's expected to report to
OTA's tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
So it's like.
Speaker 5 (04:37):
Official officials coming back on a one year deal. And uh,
I think that our our nightmare of you know, every
now and then there'll be a Pittsburgh host. It's like
it's it looks like it's going to be a done
deal and we have to talk about it for a second.
It's that's over. That's over. So we can now just
kind of like hibernate for the next four months ish
(04:59):
until the season begins, and then we'll pay attention. But
the off the field stuff, he was supposed to let
us know before the NFL Draft and he hasn't let
us know. But we're still hopeful we don't have to
comment about any of that stuff. He's there, good, wake
me up when the season begins, Pittsburgh, because I don't
need to talk about you anymore.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
That's how I feel about it.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah, you know, I thought he was stunned. I mean
I could have swore, like at the beginning of last
season he mentioned a bunch of times that it was
mostly most likely his last season, but you know, he
was pretty healthy all year long, and it started to
play a lot better towards the end of the year.
So I don't really see it as a bad thing,
(05:40):
I guess for the Steelers keep another year. I don't
think it hurts the long term growth of the team.
They have had, you know, the same coach, Mike Tomalin
for so long, so it's going to take time for
a new head coach, even though McCarty's been around a
long time to create the environment that maybe Pittsburgh once.
So McCarty coach Rogers for thirteen years in Green these
(06:00):
two are very comfortable with each other, and Rogers don't
knows how to run a McCarthy like offense, so it's
probably a good move. Though. Do I think they win
a Super Bowl or anything like that. No, but they
can be competitive and make a playoff run for sure.
Speaker 7 (06:15):
Okay, here's the thing. The NFL schedule makers put the
Steelers on like seven primetime slash sandalone windows, like a
four to twenty five Sunday game on CBS, and they
did a lot on the end of the season. Aaron
Rodgers is forty three, whenever forty two, he's declining like
(06:36):
he's still fine. He's fine, he's not what he used
to be, and they're putting a lot of faith that
he's going to be good at the end of the
season and be healthy, by the way. And on top
of that, for better or worse, Pittsburgh was very well
known for what they are every game, right we knew
what they were going to be every game, So if
you put them on television, you knew what you were getting.
(06:57):
I don't know if we're no, I don't know we're
getting with McCarthy Pittsburgh right now, we don't know what
we're getting. It's pretty bold to put and I know
it's by You know, the Giants are on five primetime
games and the Cowboys are on six. It's the law
of the brands. I get that. But the fact is,
I don't really trust Aaron Rodgers at this age. I
don't trust Mike McCarthy with the group he has now.
(07:19):
I think mimcarty can actually coach really well. I don't
know the kids he deserves. He won twelve games three
years around Dallas, but it's not the same offense. He
hasn't Pittsburgh, And I just don't really buy Rogers doing
much for them. The Pitts Steelers. There's arrogance they're allowed
to have because they've won so many super Bowls, But
it's also the arrogance that is keeping them from from
(07:40):
becoming better in the future, and their refusal to be
bad at all is killing them, And their refusal to
really be bold in the quarterback market has killing them too. Now,
maybe this is the next draft. Maybe this is the draft.
Like there's gonna be seven guys in the first round, right,
and the p actually could be and they go get
one of the seven. Sure, but they've shown really no
appetite for that, Brian, I've showed no appetite to really
(08:02):
address the course situation any meaningful colin not called Rudolph
who they draft the Kenny Pickett, the first quarterback in
that bad draft, Like, that's not a real attempt at
getting getting better that position. So until he decided to
get better, They're gonna do this every year. We're gonna
sign a veteran for a year and win they games
nine games, sort of be competitive, and at some point
(08:24):
you get to the fans are tired of it right.
I got the fans at some point are enough of this? Please?
But the fan seem to be okay with it. I
guess otherwise they would, you know, they might listen to
fans and change. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:33):
It's funny because this was about ten days ago. This
is a Pittsburgh host, Adam Crowley. He's on ninety three
to seven the Fan, and he sounds like a lot
of Steeler fans sounded at the time where it's like
it looks like h might get Rogers. You know, there's
some glee in the voice. Listen to this. It was
about ten days ago.
Speaker 8 (08:52):
This is not a grill.
Speaker 9 (08:53):
Grill Alan Lodge is expected to do in town tonight
with the expectation of them signing this week. This's a
big one. This is the real finn folks. Yep, not speculation.
This is what we have been.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Told right right, So it's like, this is not a drill.
Speaker 5 (09:09):
This looks like if I were a Pittsburgh host, I'd
be like, look, man, it's good for twenty twenty six,
it's bad for beyond twenty twenty six, you know, like.
Speaker 7 (09:18):
Even good for the season. Brian, what are they so? Look?
The best quarterback in every division tends to win division.
Like last year is a little bit different. I don'
think Bonut's better than Patrick Mahomes, but you know, the
Chiefs just weren't very good. Right, But you look at
all the other divisions, right, like it's all the best
quarterback and sometimes the best quarterback in a given year. Look,
do I think Sam Donald's better than Brock perty or
Matt Stafford? No, but Seattle, you know that safor didn't
(09:39):
play terrible last year, right, But it's just not Safford.
Donald did not play terrible last season. But the thing
about like, at best, in your third best quarterback in
this division at best? Right, at worst, maybe de Sean
Watson's good this year. You just have no way to
be good. This is not gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
Yeah, it's just it's a band aid, you know. That's
the doing the band aid thing again. And like I said,
it makes them better in twenty twenty six, But in
my mind, it's just gonna lead to a lower draft pick,
you know, and you're not gonna be relevant enough to
make a deep run in the playoffs. That's the way
it's been for the Steelers for a long time, ever
(10:17):
since the end of Big Ben's career. Right, They've just
gone band aid, the band aid route with their quarterbacks.
So it's another situation as far as that goes. It's
gonna be another season just like that. So, yeah, you're
gonna be a little more competitive, but you're not gonna
be relevant.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Enough to make a deep push.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
And it's not saying that if you're picking I don't know,
in the late teens ish somewhere around their early twenties,
that you're destined to get a bad quarterback if you
draft one in the first round, but you're destined to
get a lower prospect, right, And so I just don't
understand the Steelers complete reluctance to reset. You know, there's
(10:57):
nothing wrong with having a rough season, taking your lumps
with a young quarterback, and if you just so happen
to lose some more games than you're accustomed to, you're
hiring the draft and you might be able to find
your quarterback for the next decade. I don't know why
there's such reluctance to do that, but they're just not
they're just not up for doing it that way.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
It didn't change this season. Wins over a bet MGM
Pittsburgh Steelers eight and a half under forty. It didn't
change it a penny. That's what it was. This will
be like, I don't know, maybe the third year. I'm
trying to fade this team and playing the under by
the way.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
But.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Vv by half a game each year. It's amazing, man.
But yeah, so Pittsburgh under eight and a half minus
forty is an early play already at six twelve am
here in Vegas. But yeah, so it did not change
the odds one penny.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
Yeah, it was expected he was going to be back,
So that's amazing.
Speaker 7 (11:53):
I don't think he's good enough to really move the
needle that well. That's the other part too. Yeah, right,
I don't know. I don't know if he's good enough
to move that much. Sure, but the NFL tells you
right with the schedule, like who they think is going
to be good and whatnot. Who's popular And I don't know, man,
I don't know if Pittsburgh has that draw with Aaron
Rodgers look like they used, especially with the new coaches again,
the unknown of Pittsburgh and maybe early the season people
(12:13):
excited to watch. That's certainly fair and we'll see what
that looks like ear in the season. But they get
the back half of that season and Rogers is sort
of fading, you know, getting older and just not playing
as well. They're not gonna be attractive draw. It's a
weird roster. It's old at some positions, really old on
a poor position on defense, young in the offensive line.
Not really. They don't want to have Leugh tackle. You know.
It's just a weird roster. It's a weird team.
Speaker 5 (12:35):
I do love this where it was a part of
the story where you know, hey, he's back. He signs
for you know, up to twenty five million dollars with
a few million dollars tied up in incentives, and then
within the story it just said Rogers forty two recently
returned to the Pittsburgh area and was seen getting ice
cream with several teammates at a local shop on Friday night.
(12:57):
And I'm like, that could not be more Rogers right there.
You know, it just reminded me of you know, Chappelle's
show where Prince serves Chappelle and his crew pancakes after
some pickup basketball, Right.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
Isn't that such a Rogers thing?
Speaker 5 (13:10):
Like, oh yeah, let's go to the local shop get
some ice cream, guys, that'd be That'd be nice, wouldn't
it such a choice?
Speaker 4 (13:15):
I'd be more Rogers right there.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
He knows he's going to be he knows cameras are
going to be out there, well, you know, take a
picture of him. And we still have still know, I
don't know his wife. I still find that such a
such a fascinating development. Like, think about the other quarterbacks
and some of their wives are more popular others, right,
you know, Josh Allen's wife is a is a actress
(13:38):
and singer, and you know, obviously mahomes wife is. You know,
it's it's like, you know, they have Instagram accounts and whatnot.
We just do nothing about Rogers, just like absolutely nothing,
not like a name, not a picture, just just nothing. So,
you know, Pittsburgh again, I I don't I just don't
buy you.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Know, this is your Yeah, yeah, but I don't buy
them to go on a deep runt or anything like that.
But yeah, I never thought about this until recently. I
just thought of as much as we clown Pittsburgh, and
we should. Right, it's the same drill. Each year, they're
gonna win ten maybe nine games, have a winning record,
fizzle out of the playoffs, immediately that's what they and
(14:18):
we were just like, oh gosh, roll your eyes, they're
not going to go anywhere significant. The Bengals have been
a poor man's version of the Steelers for the last
three years. If you think about that, the Bengals, they
don't get to the playoffs. They've barely had a winning
record the last two years. They've gone nine and eight
the last two years. They were six and eleven the
(14:38):
year prior to that. So the last three years they
haven't even gotten to the playoffs. Right, So the Bengals,
as much as we clown the Steelers, the Bengals have
been a lesser version than the Steelers.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Thet three years. That's exactly what they've been, right.
Speaker 7 (14:51):
Yeah, only the playoffs twice with Joe Burrow.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
That's probably correct. Yeah, out of his six years, Yeah, injured.
No one has gotten more I don't know, pub no
one has gotten more of a free pass off of
one magical season than their Super Bowl run where they
hung with the Rams that we're in contention to beat them.
It's like, that's that's a long time ago in NFL
(15:17):
years to cling onto that season. It's it's just crazy
how we've kept doing that I mean.
Speaker 7 (15:23):
But what's so interesting is like, obviously I'm a Chiefs fan,
and I only fear two teams, two quarterbacks, the Buffalo
Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. Like I just the way
Joe Burrows played in those big games, in those big moments,
He's tortured the Chiefs. So is Josh Allen, And so
I think that that, even though the Bengals have not
had that success, are still in the back of my
(15:43):
mind like that, the thought of them being in kansasity,
Like I'm not worried about Baltimore or the Chargers, the Broncos.
It's Joe Burrow and it's Josh Allen because those guys
are I know, they're they're that talented football player that
I think that it worries me as a fan of
a team that has to beat them in the AFC.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Yeah, that was that twenty twenty two when the Bengals
won twelve and four.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
That's got to be there, right, Yeah, they that was
the last That was the year prior was when they
went to the Super Bowl twenty one, but twenty two
they lost the AFC title game against the Chiefs. Coincidentally,
I just looked it up. They lost that game to
the Chiefs twenty three to twenty. That was the same season.
That was the same score they lost the Super Bowl
twenty three twenty.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
Right, that's what they lost the Rams to.
Speaker 7 (16:25):
Great sack there by by Donald at the end. It
looked like a guy popping free too. Just a great
you know, great player makes makes a great play?
Speaker 4 (16:33):
Did they?
Speaker 5 (16:33):
By the way, is this is NFL nerdy stuff? But
was that technically a sack because Burrow threw it at
the last second.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
I don't know if they ruled that pass?
Speaker 7 (16:42):
Probably? Yeah, yeah, complete pass. Yeah, I have the golf on.
Have you guys watched golf much this week?
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (16:49):
The Church seems like way more US Open than PGA.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Championship, Absolutely, no doubt about it.
Speaker 7 (16:54):
Yes, Like one of the favorite lasers that went around,
like in my group chats was taking the under to
sixty seven and a half for total score of the tournament.
I think that's like minus thirteen. It ain't gonna be
close like this. This course has played much much tougher
than expected. I mean, maybe today's I mean I can't imagine.
(17:15):
Maybe wrong has a magical run and goes there are
no nine un during this course, there's no chance. So
so I'm watching right now, guys are heating out of
a tall rough. It plays way more at the US Open.
The PGA Championship normally does, but to be it's because
the leader boards so muddle today. It's gonna be interesting
to see who pops out. I think we're for sure
to have a playoff. I don't know if you'd a
wager on that or not, but there's no way you
(17:37):
can have so many golfers bunch at the top and
not and have someone pop free. I feel like this
is not the course for that.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
No interesting it might play out that way. We'll actually
get to that. Right around the corner, we've got Bill Krachenberger,
professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
I'm Brian No.

And yesterday at least Rory Rory McElroy very good day,
four under climbed right back into contention. Scotty Scheffler not
as good over plus one for the day. How about
(19:52):
this six misses inside of ten feet. You never see
Scotty Scheffler put that badly. He's one of the one
of the best putters in the world, and yesterday was like,
I can't put can't make a putt. If he could
have putted well yesterday, you'd be right in the thicket things.
But he just he could not make one man very
close under sixty.
Speaker 7 (20:11):
And a half for shaffle yesterday. So that's why he
couldn't make a putt.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
So that was what you have under what.
Speaker 7 (20:15):
Under sixty eight and a half yesterday? So that's why
par seventy I believe. So these two under would have
been nice. Yeah, I think he missed seven putts within
ten feet or he.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Chipped out of the bunker a couple of times almost
hold it. One would have been an eagle, and the
next thing you know, it's like, can't putt.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
I'm curious about today because it's still gettable. I mean,
you know, the leaders, he's not that far off, especially
you know the top of leaderboard or guys have not
been the spot before. Outside of John Rahm h Ober.
It feels like every Sunday he's in contention. He goes south.
So Mackerro's right there, Shoffley's there, and so there are
some names that we've seen. But also the scores have
(20:51):
gone better as the course has firmed up a little bit,
and I think they've given some better hope. Some of
the whole positions are brutal, but they've done a better
job and they've giving these guys a little more of
a chance to to get lower scores. After Rory complained
about it, and Rory was right, Rory basically said like, hey,
like this course, the worst you're gonna get is a bogie.
Like there's no doubles, there's not a lot of like tear.
There's no hazards, and so it does seem like golfers
(21:15):
are not playing it easy, but they know that they
don't have to take a ton of risk, because why
why just get just get the birdies on the birdie
holes and get pars on everything else. And so I'm
curiously today's goes. Look it's pretty fun, you know, Golf's fun.
I tweet this out. I don't win, really, I think,
at all golf, but I like betting on it. Sports
(21:37):
I sports, I went on, I don't like betting on why,
Like I a much better at college football than I
am at at golf, and yet like it pays me
to watch the game I bet on golf, like I
have four guys I think to win out right and
the number gonna went out right. I'm not I'm not
adding those positions, but I'm like, oh, well, shoot, that's
(22:00):
not gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
I can kind of relate to that.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
I don't know what it is with Let's say you're
on the first half bet in the in the NBA
and a shot rims out that for some reason, that
is way more painful to me than a putt lipping out.
You know, it's not the same punch to the gut
for me. I don't know why why it's on seven
it's one putt just lipped out and you're like, oh man,
(22:22):
that was close, but there's still time. You know, it's
just not the same pain. I don't know why I
can kind.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Of that line that Jeff just said, I don't want
to shock that. Then you say the sports I went on,
I don't like a lot.
Speaker 7 (22:34):
Yeah, yeah, no. When I said, what I said was that,
I like, it's like like basically the sports I went
at college football. I'm good at college football. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (22:42):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (22:43):
Like I sit there like during games and like.
Speaker 4 (22:46):
You're just twisting.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Yeah yeah, like they just in pain watching hope and
I cover golf. I don't win a bet ever zero.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
Bets crack you win yesterday. It's recency bias.
Speaker 7 (22:59):
It's just it's like, oh, oh sure, I'll bet I
gotta win again? Why not? And just I have learned
to bet on no oberg zero o bird bets ever
until he proves he can win a championship. You got
Cheffler under yesterday. Dustin Johnson. By the way, Dustin Johnson
has not finished top ten and live the entire season.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Boy, he took all the money too, he got a
ton of.
Speaker 7 (23:21):
But yet he's made both cuts and both majors this year.
I know I can't explain. I bet I have to
miss the cut both majors easily easily made the cut.
Can't wain and live, cannot close stuff like that's frustrating.
But you'll go watch the golf today. The problem with
today's sports. By the way, NBA, can we have a talk? NBA? Okay,
(23:41):
three thirty is a great time to play Game seven,
so let me go. Three thirty is fine, three thirties fine, Okay,
you chose eight o'clock. Why, okay, you can't. You can't
have the game in Amazon Prime tonight. I'm sorry, you
just cannot you.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Just fast, Jeff, Can I see him on on on
Amazon Prime? Co Tag team event right here? Tag me
in real fast. I cannot believe the NBA they're going
to announce the MVP winner in pregame tonight on Prime Video.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Why are you doing that?
Speaker 5 (24:16):
Announce it tomorrow night when it's Game one of the
Western Conference Finals. SGA holds up the trophy. You get
a shot at wemby looking over They're like Okay, just
add a little bit of drama. Why wouldn't you announce
that in a pregame show?
Speaker 7 (24:28):
Why So, is SJA going to get the award in personal.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Win the award? Yeah, but is he going like.
Speaker 7 (24:33):
Is he going to Detroit to receive the award.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Or like no, they're just gonna announce it in the pregame.
Maybe maybe they do an interview with him. They're just
gonna be like, oh, by the way, SGA wins back
to back MVPs, they're gonna talk about it.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Steve Nash, what do you have to say about this?
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Wow, really impressive. Oh it's so bad.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
Why the NBA would wait this long and then announce
it in the pregame show?
Speaker 4 (24:56):
It's insane.
Speaker 7 (24:58):
So there is no other sports on tonight. So this
is not the best night for this argument, but this
is the other night this this argument holds true. So
the reason why it's difficult for me for the streaming
services to have content on nights with multiple sports is
that you can't have one television can't flip around and
you people point to the NFL has streaming services. Yeah,
(25:19):
but there's a standalone game. So when Netflix has a
game on that's it. Soil we're watching is one NFL game.
And I know there's some crossover times on college wable
playoff like ones on TNT or whatever and ones on
Netflix whatever. Okay that I get that maybe, But on
a night when there was like Stanley Cup and there
was baseball on and I watched a little college softball
(25:40):
and and like there was in like then you have,
Oh here's Amazon Prime game six Wolves Wolf Spurs. That
must be paying a lot of money. I don't know
I would, I just can't. I can't. So tonight I
guess I'll watch on Prime. We don't have a choice.
Three point thirty Eastern ABC done, Like it would have
(26:00):
been so easy just to put it where it normally
goes right, Three point thirty in Detroit today, a game
where I don't trust either team, So good luck on
that game. But I mean, how bad James aren't going
to play tonights? Like I there should.
Speaker 5 (26:17):
Be more more turnovers than madefield goals prop bet like
they should be somewhere.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
Can Christian make that market for us pretty soon? I
mean it's gonna be like minus five hundred for how's
a guy like that? I know he played well a
couple of games ago in game step, How does he
have a career where he hit eight turnovers? Eight turnovers?
Last game? The Cavs had a Game six at home
to win the series, and they could not have played
(26:45):
anywhere Donovan Mitchell, no show harden, eight turnovers, team twenty turnovers,
out rebounded, out efforted, executed, out coached. I mean, it
was the worst performance I've seen in a team that
should close out a game. Like the Wolves just lost
to a better team, like San Antonio's just better than them, right,
Like that just was a whomping and they're making their threes,
(27:06):
and that's like, you're just done. You can't beat the
Spurs and they're making their threes. The Calvs just blatantly
didn't show up for a Game six at home, and
now I got to go on the road to play
game seven. We one road game and two series, and
that took a fifteen point come back to win their
road game.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Hey guys, going back to the PGA, I think it's
actually been a really good PGA so far. I'm looking
forward to watching how it all plays out. I'd much
rather watch golf tournaments on a tough course, for tough
conditions than one where you see a million birdies in
the Championship, like minus thirty. So you guys pointing that
out a little bit, But right now John Rahm is
(27:44):
at plus four fifty. There still so many golfers that
can win this thing. It's so open, Rory, Zander Scotty.
I'll even throw Aberg in there, and yeah, I'm like Jeff,
I've lost some money on him this season at the
Masters especially. I wouldn't be surprised if any of those
guys one today. It should be a real exciting finish.
(28:04):
So many of the world's top golfers. And contention, if
you're a golf fan or just a competitive fan, this
is a great tournament. Team get to get to watch
Day four here. There's some guys that like minus two
and minus one that even you know, realistically have a
chance today, like a Pat Reid, Matt Siama Rose. I mean,
just to name a few of the PGA Championship is
(28:25):
really still wide open. We all know anything can happen
on these Sundays, you know, the Sunday back Nines and
these majors. So it should be a fun day. It's
a fun day of sports.
Speaker 5 (28:36):
Should absolutely be all right, right around the corner. Does
any team have lower standards than this fan base? But
speaking of fun here crack, you know the guy that
has got the market cornered when it comes to fun,
That would be our guy, Isaac Low and cron best
in the business, Captain Fun, we call him around here.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
What's going on? I loow, Thank you.
Speaker 11 (28:55):
I thought I was worried you were gonna say speaking
of lower standards, But I'm glad you said speaking of fun.
Speaker 8 (29:00):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 11 (29:01):
In the NFL, Aaron Rodgers agreed to a one year
deal to remain with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Going into the
final round of the PGA Championship today, Alex smalley as
lead at six under par overall. John Rahm is two
back in second place. Then he got Rory McElroy, Xanders Shoffley,
and Patrick Red three back. In Game six of the
NHL's Eastern Conference semi Finals on Saturday night, the Buffalo
(29:21):
Sabers one in Montreal, eight to three, forcing a Game seven.
The Savers trailed this game three to one ten minutes
and fourteen seconds.
Speaker 8 (29:30):
Into the first period.
Speaker 11 (29:31):
In Major League Baseball Saturday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers
got five RBI from Shohei Otani in a fifteen.
Speaker 8 (29:38):
To two win over the Angels.
Speaker 11 (29:39):
In Anaheim, Giants got two home runs from Casey Schmidt in.
Speaker 8 (29:43):
A six to four victory over the Athletics.
Speaker 11 (29:45):
MMA Saturday night, Ronda Rousi defeated Gina Carano in just
seventeen seconds. Here's how it sounded on Netflix.
Speaker 12 (29:53):
Round and Bound, rowdy, looking for the arm and already
the army.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
What ain't incredible?
Speaker 13 (30:01):
The most devastating finish in MMA history, And round a
Rousey just took another arm postage and just like that.
Speaker 11 (30:13):
Also on Saturday's card, Mike Perry soundly pummeled Nate Diaz,
and afterwards, Diaz put his defeat into perfect perspective. Listen closely.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
People will be like, he lost, You should hang him up.
Speaker 7 (30:30):
And my I did find the most violent mother right there,
so uh, you should hang him up.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Maybe I just don't fight the most violent. Maybe I
just fight the second most violent.
Speaker 11 (30:39):
So that's one of the best post defeat comments you
will ever hear.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Back to you, guys, that's funny.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Man.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
The stand up comedian Shane Gillis does a really good
Nate Dias impression where he's like I just thought I'd
knock him out, you know, or whatever.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
It's really funny. Man does a really good job.
Speaker 5 (30:57):

Speaker 4 (31:16):
All right, so we've gotten some feedback over here.
Speaker 7 (31:18):
You got something, Jeff, I just wanted to watch the
Ronda Rowsei clip. This is this is the fight that
hyped up this fifteen seconds that she believed Ronda Rowsei
just on bars her immediately. Did she train? Did Gina
train it all?
Speaker 4 (31:31):
Did she like such a missed opportunity?
Speaker 5 (31:33):
So, Gina, she said she lost over one hundred pounds
to get ready for this fight.
Speaker 7 (31:37):
Yeah, I saw the before and after, but the after
picture she looked so thin, like compared to Ronda Rousei,
like she.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
Hadn't fought since nine Jeff, she hadn't fought turn did
she sue?
Speaker 7 (31:48):
Did she sue like Disney and won a lawsuits because
they like something like that.
Speaker 5 (31:51):
I it's been it's been seventeen years since her last fight.
It was seventeen seconds against Rond De Rowsey. It kind
of makes sense there's a tie in.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Guess you do?
Speaker 7 (32:00):
I guess because wasn't pay per view. Leasse at least
people that don't like pay extra for this. Right, it
was on Netflix. You have to like, you have to
spend extra money for it. So just was on Netflix.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Just on Netflix?
Speaker 7 (32:07):
Yeah? What fifteen seconds? All that hype? Jeez?
Speaker 5 (32:11):
I agree, pretty crazy. So we got some feedback here
on the old X machine. I don't know that there's
a there's a fan base that has lower standards than
the Bengals fan base. I'm serious about this.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
This guy Chris.
Speaker 5 (32:25):
Checks and he's like Brian with the weekly Bengals hate.
They went to the AFC Championship game the next year.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
Brian, it was four years ago now, but I know
that's what I said. I was like, that's four seasons ago.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
Have some higher standards, dude, Like, I don't understand the
Bengals fan base will come after your throat if you
dare say anything halfway critical about them?
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Are we on the same page? Are they classic underachievers?
Because they are.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
They're the poster child of classic underachieving, and their fan
base will do nothing more than prop them up and
not demand better.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
It's crazy.
Speaker 7 (32:59):
I think that when they go to Super Bowl and
game back to back years, you would expect a little
bit more from them after that, right, And yes, it
just hasn't. And for you know, there's been obviously injuries
to Joe Burrow, which is certainly been been an issue.
You remember a couple of years ago when they gain
in the playoffs, like the team no one wants to
(33:21):
see the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
Like every year. Oh I don't want to see the Bengals. Yeah,
bring them on me.
Speaker 7 (33:26):
They have not made They didn't make the playoffs in
twenty three, twenty four or twenty five. Yeah, I mean yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:34):
Imagine like a real fan base of a real franchise.
They went to the Super Bowl five seasons ago, made
it to the title game the next season, three straight
non playoff seasons. There are so many fan bases that
would be like unacceptable. You know, we want blood, fire
the coach, get rid of this guy, bring this guy
frothing at the mouth. Bengals fans are like, it's okay,
(33:57):
give them time. They're just that gelling. Yet it's crazy.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
I can't believe it. Man, I don't know. I'm not.
I'm not.
Speaker 5 (34:06):
I'm just a pro truth guy, That's what I am.
Sometimes the truth hurts a little bit. You guys are
classic underachievers. You get less out of more than any
team in the NFL by far, not even close.
Speaker 7 (34:18):
Yeah, I do. Their fans are tire Zach Taylor. But
I don't know what you do about it. What do
you That's that's that's the problem. I don't know what
the solution is to that.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Well, I mean, listen, you just move on. You get
a new guy.
Speaker 5 (34:33):
You know, if it's your spinning your tires year after year,
then you you change, you get a new regime in there.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
Yeah. Well, hey man, we'll see what's gonna happen this season.
Lat on the line.
Speaker 5 (34:44):
I do find it interesting where they are classic slow
starters as well. It's a tough start to the season
Tampa at the Texans, at the Steelers, Jaguars. It's not
Murderer's row, But for the Bengals, who start off so slowly,
it's a very favorable schedule. Well, a lot of people
like over nine and a half wins. It's possible, especially
(35:04):
if you get better health from Burrow. But that's not
the easiest start to a season, and they typically get
off to a slow start. So we'll see, we'll see.
I think it just snowballs each year if they start
off slowly and then it just it builds from there.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
But we'll see.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
In any event, I'll probably point out something that's critical
and true and Bengals fans will whine and complain. And
Brian five years ago there in the Super Bowl, though,
it's like, yeah, it's a long time. It's like two
decades in football years, you know, it goes really fast
in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
We've got time, it's a long time.
Speaker 5 (35:36):
We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran. I'm Brian no all right, coming up
next to Parlay Platter. We are on a hot streak,
by the way, details about that, and we'll compare a
picks and push them put them all together today for
a bigger payout. That is right around the corner. It
is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by bet MGM. It

Speaker 4 (36:24):
All right, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Check this out.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
Parlay flatter.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
Ah, yes, the platter here. We are on a hot streak, fellas.
We have won the last two parlay platters. How about
that one last week five to one, very nice. In
the week prior to that almost four to one. So
we are on a hot streak. And by the way,
we've won the platter the last two Saturdays as well.
That's four straight parlay platters. That is the hottest of
hot streaks, right, I'll try to make it five here collectively.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
What do you like today? Crack anything good deal.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Yeah, let's start out with a baseball woman's stroke Tampa
Bay in there early game here, So nine fifteen am
my time here in Vegas, Tampa Bay. Raise minus one
fifty five over on at MGM.
Speaker 7 (37:10):
Right, all right, you under two six and a half
for the game seven tonight. A couple of reasons. One
is the Calves do not value the basketball. They just
turn the bowl over an alarming rate. Has not stopped
at all. You would think at some point they'd just
stopped doing it, but no, Donovan Mitchell's gotten worse throughout
(37:31):
the series. James Harden's gotten worse out the series. Where
they where they getting points from on the road today?
Like were they turning to get points in at pivotal
Game seven? So that's my concern. On the flip side,
Tobias Harris for the Pistons has gone worse as the
series went on too. He stopped scoring our Durant picked
up some of the slack. I don't really expect Durant
(37:52):
to continue doing that. Maybe he's able to now, but
he had fifteen a a night and we just see
the game sevens right, one oh two ninety eight, one
oh three ninety seven, it's to me, it's a grind fest.
Even Game seven between the Pistons of Magic got to
two ten and pop up mcard thirty eight points. Who's
scoring thirty eight points for the Cavs today, Brian? And
(38:15):
that you know that game barely went over there. So
I like the under here two of six and a
half for Game seven late tonight, eight o'clock.
Speaker 5 (38:22):
Okay, I've got a pick at you know, minus money,
and I've got to pick at plus money. You guys,
feeling saucy or what do you think here? Do you
have any let's here?
Speaker 2 (38:31):
I'm curious what they are you.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
Okay, I'll give you both of them and you tell
me which one you want to put.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
What vote you have? So the plus money won.
Speaker 5 (38:40):
I like Evan Mobley over three and a half assists.
It's a plus one ten because you'll see him. You
saw him last game and throughout the series. He'll sometimes
run point, he'll initiate the offense, and he's been over
three and a half in all but one game in
this series. Last it was last game he had two assists.
But I think that they're gonna have to go a
(39:02):
little bit more with ball movement instead of just this
ISO heavy James Harden just dribble around for twenty seconds
and then check up a shot. You gotta have some
more ball movement here. And Evan Mobley has done a
very good job sharing the basketball. So I do like
over three and a half assists at plus money. The
the minus one, I have my guy Schwoba. Kyle Schwarber
(39:23):
is on a absolute tear over here. The guy has
nine home runs in his last nine games. I've got
his total bases over point five. So we have Paul
Schemes on the mound for the Pirates today. But Schwarber
is just red hot right now. It's at minus one
thirty five to go over point five total bases. How
(39:43):
do you not take that? So those are the two
contributions I have. Is there anything that you like more
than the other? You like Mobile the first one?
Speaker 7 (39:53):
Yeah, there you go. All right?
Speaker 5 (39:57):
If you go with those three things together, it's plus
three to I like the Rays. You know, Jeff, you've
got Under in the game tonight NBA Playoffs. I've got
mobilely over three and a halfsis.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
There you go. We got some breaking news too. Let's
do this breaking news from Fox Sports.
Speaker 11 (40:15):
In the NBA ESPN has just reported that Shaye Gilgus
Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder has won his second
consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player award. In a related story,
this means I don't have to borrow Bo Benson's Amazon
Prime password to see the official announcement later tonight.
Speaker 4 (40:35):
I'm glad that Prime Video got screwed by the.
Speaker 7 (40:37):
Way ESPN announced the like Sham's announced this before it's
supposed come out tonight.
Speaker 5 (40:43):
Yeah, that's for the official pregame show unveiling. It's it's dumb.
It's dumb and dumber. Really, it's dumb that they would
announce this before tomorrow night. They should have just done
this in okac You imagine the award.
Speaker 7 (40:56):
If schefter this the NFL, good Dell would never would
never let him work in the NFL or whatever. Again,
how's this? How how could this happen?
Speaker 5 (41:04):
It's week leadership is how that happens? You know, It's
just it's dumb. They should have kept it secret until
tomorrow night, and instead they went this route.
Speaker 4 (41:14):
Silly.
Speaker 5 (41:15):
Well, this ridiculous news leads to a ridiculous start. We'll
have details coming up. Oh, what is going on? Welcome
in happy Sunday to you. And look, I should have
known better. I messed up the payout on our parlay platter.
Let me let me do this real fast. Here a
little bit of house, if you will.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
It was late, you know why.
Speaker 5 (41:37):
It was like, Jeff, I was looking at the two
leg same game parlay because you had the Calves pistons
under and I had Evan Mobley over assists. I was
just looking at that. The two legger caught my attention.
The three leger is plus five eighty two, right now,
I was like.
Speaker 7 (41:55):
That feels kind of low, but all right, I'll let you.
Speaker 4 (41:57):
Roll very low when you got plus money in a
three leg.
Speaker 5 (42:00):
So I should have known better. But yeah, we had
some breaking news. I blame that. I blame I love
I love I love that the that ESPN basically did
a double barrel to Prime video and like, oh, you.
Speaker 4 (42:11):
Guys got Game seven.
Speaker 5 (42:12):
How about we announce the SGA MVP news before your
little announcement tonight.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
How about that.
Speaker 7 (42:18):
Never happened in the NFL, It just would absolutely they
do the the you know, they do the the the
award ceremony right like the week of the Super Bowl.
To have a big event and where every gets dressed
up and and you go to it, and it just
would never happen. It would never happen like this. The NFL,
I cannot believe the NBA let this happen and leaked
this out when they when Amazon paid to be able
(42:40):
to announce this essentially right, they paid to have this
privilege to announce it, and ESPN does it instead. It
would never happen.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
Oh man.
Speaker 5 (42:49):
Yeah, there was a promotion for this announcement tonight, like hey,
Prime Video is gonna announce the MVP winner and it's like, well,
it's not going to have the same sizzle af ESPN
it reports it in the morning.
Speaker 4 (43:03):
So that's amazing.
Speaker 7 (43:04):
Man, Oh gosh, Like do you think do you think
silver like call Shams is like what what bro what
what what are you doing?
Speaker 5 (43:11):
I don't maybe maybe because they're obviously they want to
be in bed with Prime Video and.
Speaker 4 (43:15):
They shoehorn that thing.
Speaker 5 (43:17):
Remember TNT was like, wait a minute, we gotta we
got a stipulation in the contract, we can renew our
agreement in the NBA was just like yeah, no, let's uh,
let's throw that in the garbage. And they just wanted
to be with Prime Video man streaming them streaming.
Speaker 7 (43:29):
I mean it's getting it's a lot of money, right,
I mean, look at the NFL like they're getting They're
playing on streaming services a lot. You know, they have
all this money. What do they do with it? They
have to spend it somewhere and they're spending a lot
of sports, and so I get I get why these
companies are getting these uh sporting events, but it does
(43:49):
come with a little bit of like, Oh, I don't
want to have to watch that sporting event on streaming
services tonight. I just would like to go watch on
television likely.
Speaker 5 (43:57):
Yeah, oh, man, I don't know what it is with
having to put a streaming service on my TV. I
absolutely hate it. It's the lack of being able to flip.
I might not even flip one time all night, but
I have the ability to do it, and I can't
do that when it's on Prime Video. I don't have
a problem putting it on my tablet, but on the TV,
I absolutely hate it.
Speaker 7 (44:17):
Man. I'm not the same setup I do every night
where I'm laying bed next to my wife. I have
I bought a iPad stand iPad stand. I put it
next to the bed, So my iPad's on the stands
and I watch sports. She's watching like some show that's
I have no idea what's happening. And then she fall
asleep and I just watched sports once of the night.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
So let's her go to like Bravo. What does she
get down?
Speaker 7 (44:38):
Who knows something that? No? No, no, just like there's
a New Handmaid's Tail, like a New Handmaid's Tail show
she's watching that. There's a showing wholu she's watching who knows?
Speaker 2 (44:53):
I'm so you both have your own headsets center.
Speaker 7 (44:55):
No, no, I just I don't have the volume on.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Oh okay, I don't think they listen.
Speaker 7 (44:58):
I don't listen to football on really ever either. I
mean I got four games on a Sunday or six seven,
eight games on sure, but no big games. I'll go
like in the other room and watch if it's like
organ or something. But you know tonight, like you know,
it's not the biggest game. It's okay.
Speaker 4 (45:13):
You seem like a pacer. You pace around when your
ducks are playing.
Speaker 7 (45:18):
Uh, only only when they play Washington or like they
play a bowl game like a playoff game.
Speaker 4 (45:26):
Otherwise we also.
Speaker 7 (45:29):
Win those other games by a lot, so it's not
like I have to worry about that. But first first
year maybe ever for Oregon, where it's championship or bus
that's the only result that would satisfy Oregon fans, and
it where it's about to be in like you, because
the regular season doesn't really matter very much. It matters
(45:50):
just how you look and how you get to Because
Oregon plays eight weeks in a row with no buye
they early by this year, so it's gonna get to
day weeks. I just gotta get to day weeks with
no losses or one, maybe lose at Ohio State and
go eleven to one and get in the playoffs. Like
that's the different feeling as a fan.
Speaker 5 (46:08):
It's pretty crazy your quarterback room. To have Dante Moore,
who's going to be a top pick, and to have
Riola backing him up. That's pretty insane.
Speaker 7 (46:16):
Well, I think the reason why is quite simply, the
team is is really good this year and they can't
afford to waste this roster. I mean there's been a
lot of money to keep the Like we Oregon brought
back four NFL defensive lineman. Our entire defensive line would
have been drafted this year, and a couple of those
guys would have been Day two picks, and actually probably
one might have been the first defense I will take it.
(46:38):
Amaro Washington. He was that game and they brought him back,
and they brought back two defensive ends that were Day
two picks and probably a de tackle that would have
been a fourth round pick. I mean, you're making that
defense is probably making five to six million dollars this year.
You brought back Dante More would be the second pick
in the draft. Gotta pay him. And so I think
that for Oregon it made sense to have a competent
(46:59):
backup just if you have injury or you have something
to go wrong, you can't waste this season. And Rayol
is a competent backup Boston in spring game, He's gonna
be just fine if you had to play. And that's
why they did it. They have a roster that's built
to win.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Now.
Speaker 7 (47:15):
They went with the older method, which is what Ohio
State did two years ago, It's what Indiana did, it's
what Michigan did. Just an older team, guys with a
ton of STAPs, especially in the trenches. Center would have
d number one center in the country heading in the season, like,
they just they got an older roster man, number one
tight end Jamario Johnson heading in the season. That's what
that's what the team is. And so they went and
got Rola because they want to win a championship and
(47:37):
if Dodd did more gets hurt. We can't waste this roster.
I think it's a smart decision.
Speaker 4 (47:41):
Yeah, no too, I'm not. I'm not putting on I
know you're not.
Speaker 7 (47:47):
It's just what they did this year. Next year's schedule.
Next year we have Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State.
I think in Indiana, we next year schedule is so
bad the conference. This year we don't. We have have
Ohio State, No, Indiana get Michigan at home. So just
it's a better schedule. They'd sort of planned for twenty
twenty six to be their year, so this is why
they went all in.
Speaker 5 (48:06):
I just have flashbacks to your Ducks against Texas Tech. Right,
Texas Tech. Their defensive line was unbelievable. Yeah, defense was
really good. That was a slug fest of a game.
They are looking back. The Red Raiders are like, we
wish we had Riola for that game. We have no quarterback,
no at all, whatsoever. So yeah, you can't get like that.
Speaker 7 (48:25):
It's crazy. Oregon football shut out had a shutout in
the playoff game, which is crazy to me, but also
is the best defense line of the country, which like
is I never thought those words would ever dur ever.
And they have backups that are five star kids that
like are incredible too, so nice. Yeah, I can't wait
for the season start. It's gonna be a funcusturbal. The
(48:46):
twenty fourteen playoff is done, by the way, it's silly.
It's college football is a sport that routinely does things
that no one wants.
Speaker 4 (48:56):
I don't get it.
Speaker 5 (48:57):
This talk about a twenty fourteen playoff is insanity. Why
would you water down the regular season that much. It's
the most important regular season we have in sports in
this country. I don't know about you know, the Premier
League or whatever I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (49:09):
In this country.
Speaker 5 (49:10):
It's the most important regular season we have by miles.
And all you're gonna do is water that down if
you expand it to twenty four teams. I don't need
three and four lost teams in the playoffs. Don't need them.
Speaker 7 (49:21):
So a couple things. One is it's about money, of course,
but the reason why college coaches want is USC wants
to say I made the playoff because they can't make
the playoff right now without you know, without making it
go to twenty four teams. And it's funny to hear
to the pushback like ESPN's pushing back all of our
personals because that much more inventory, which means they can't
own the play They're not gonna ESPN is not gonna
(49:43):
have all the games. If it goes twenty four. You
probably bid out some of the games, as they should.
I am shocked at college to well, just lets ESPN
own all the inventory. I work for Fox Sports. I
love for Fox have a couple playoff games. It'd be
great for me. I love it like they but they
don't bid it out. They just give. But go to
twenty four, they probably bid it out. But Brian, your
point is so so well put, and it's the way
(50:03):
I feel about this is a playoffs should be designed
to have a champion, right, like you're designing it for
a champion to make a champion. And if all the
championship teams get in, adding more does it make it
a better field, just makes it a competent participation tournament, right,
like last year, the mistake was Notre Dame not being in. Well,
(50:24):
the mistake is very easily fixed by just taking on
a G five team. Yeah, and then you get you
get all the twelve teams are in are the teams
that the coming championship. If you're adding twelve more does it?
It just becomes a participation tournament. That's all becomes. And
I don't think comfortable needs that. Like, no one's clamoring
for more participation in the playoff. We like it the
(50:47):
way it is. And you're right, the rightt thas does matter.
All those games matter. And you go to twenty four teams,
do really need to see a seven and five, eight
and four sec team in there?
Speaker 4 (51:00):
No, don't need to see that at all.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (51:03):
I looked at the standings last year, you know the record,
like the top twenty five before the postseason, right before
the bowl games and the College Football Playoff, there were
eight teams that had at least three losses. There was
one team with four losses in there. And it's like,
I don't need to see this at all. Man, there's
(51:24):
nothing wrong with being exclusive, and I hate that.
Speaker 4 (51:27):
Listen.
Speaker 5 (51:27):
I'm a die hard Notre Dame fan born in South Bend, Indiana.
I love the Irish. I hate that they didn't get
into the playoff, but that's not a reason to double
the playoff field. That's insane to me. Like Notre Dame
didn't get in, let's double the field. That makes no
sense at all. It's craziness. As far as the NFL
go ahead crack.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
You got something I want to say over on betmgm
Oregon regular season wins ten and a half under forty five.
That's the line, and Oregon one of the favorites to win.
It's seven to one to win it all this year,
so I thought that was kind of interesting. And your
Notre Dame team is eleven and a half, by the way,
season wins eleven and a half under two to one
(52:07):
on noted Dames. So that's over on bet MG. I
just wanted to throw that in there.
Speaker 7 (52:10):
For the Dame season comes down to one game.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
It's my one game. That's what looks like in.
Speaker 7 (52:16):
Miami this year, Organ's win total ten and a half.
So quite simply, it's it's this. Oregon has lost five
games in the last of three years, and only in
three of those regular seasons, and they've only lost those
games to teams that have made the playoff or won
the championship. Actually, really the teams that play the championship
(52:36):
game Ohio State, Indiana twice and Washington twice. That's it.
So they only lost one game in Dan Lannis four years.
They shouldn't have lost. That was Oregon State in year one.
So they don't lose game. So, like you look at
a schedule, you're like favorite in all games but one.
That's why it's ten and a half. Like, if they
just win the games they should win, you get eleven.
If they get upset, which hasn't happened really in five
(52:57):
years and four years, then you know you get to
so I lean over, but don't know, I you know
there's some there's some pit falls possible in the schedule somewhere.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (53:07):
Well, hey man, you know, playing in a Big ten,
you know, big Boy Conference, you know you're gonna have
some tough games along the way.
Speaker 4 (53:15):
And Notre Dame.
Speaker 5 (53:16):
Man, they've dumbed down their schedule a ton. It used
to be the toughest schedule in the country and now
it's a lot of you know, Purdue, North Carolina b
y U B yu's okay, Navy you know, stuff like
that SMU, like Boston College, it's they have their big
toe in the A c C. So they'll play those
five ACC games. But you got Rice and it's just
(53:38):
not what you're accustomed to seeing here US Miami.
Speaker 4 (53:41):
That's a big one. That's that's the big game right there.
Speaker 5 (53:45):
Yeah, right, oh gosh, that whole thing with USC is obnoxious.
Don't get me started with that. Or USC is like,
you know, you know, we'll play, we'll fight you on
this date, and Notre Dame's like, but we've never fought
on that date. Why are we doing that? And then
you s's like, well, I guess then we're not playing.
Then I guess we're not fighting, and then they'll you know,
it's a whole pr.
Speaker 4 (54:05):
Thing where it's it's Notre Dame's it's so ridiculous.
Speaker 7 (54:08):
The fact is USC is ditching competition right right if
if USC had be Notre Dame five or last six
times they played the absolutely and quite simply Nerdame has
past them, and USC doesn't want the competition. They don't
want to have to play a team like like ner
(54:30):
Dame who's going to beat them and cost them a
chance to make a playoff. And it's that simple, and
it just it's fine to admit that. But that's that's
just what it is right now. And us he's got it.
They have to prove us otherwise that they're not soft.
You have to do you show me that you're not soft.
I'll believe what I see. I keep seeing the US.
He's the plaifordows open. It's only year five under Lincoln Riley,
(54:51):
the plaiffor windows. Oh okay, all right, let's see the one.
Speaker 5 (54:55):
Let's see the bangles of college football, you know, underachieving
and you know more. Yeah, it's weird, Yeah, yeah, it's
funny like that NFL schedule wise. We'll expand this a
little bit later in the show, but dipping your big
toe in the waters.
Speaker 4 (55:11):
Anything stand out to you.
Speaker 5 (55:13):
A couple of things that, like the first game of
the season Patriots Seahawks, Like, wow, we're doing the whole
vaybel really, that's the first game. Okay, I thought Bear
Seahawks would have been a much more interesting matchup. Get
two teams that expected to make deep runs in the playoffs.
Caleb Williams, I don't need to see the Super Bowl rematch.
Speaker 4 (55:34):
First game of the year.
Speaker 5 (55:35):
I'm not as excited about that as some other potential matchups.
The other thing, the Bengals start to the season. Have
you seen it? Their first six games are ridiculous, man.
So they've got the Chiefs on the road on a
Monday night, you get the Jaguars, the Rams on a
Sunday night, at the Niners at the Rams, and then
(55:57):
take on the Seahawks. That that is brutal starts of
the season.
Speaker 4 (56:01):
What's that? What team you said they don't have? I
messed up. It's the Chargers in there instead of the Rams.
Speaker 7 (56:06):
But what team do you say? This was the schedule?
Speaker 5 (56:08):
Is the Broncos Bengals though, Bengals, that's what the fan
base the Broncos schedules and that.
Speaker 4 (56:17):
Then sorry about that.
Speaker 5 (56:20):
Yeah, games are really difficult, man, not easy at all.
Speaker 7 (56:25):
I saw when the Barco reporters say if you consider
the Chiefs the playoff team from last year, that the
brown the Brons opened up with six straight players. Well,
they weren't a playoff team fromlast year, so you can't
consider them a playoff team from last year. Like that?
What a funny fan tweet to consider them a playoff team.
They play, they play all the playoff teams. Look, I
think that schedule release comes down a lot of people
(56:47):
on social media make a lot of money on selling
us on things that do not matter about the about
any of of the wins and losses upcoming season. You know,
I never want as a player, thought about rest disparity
never crossed my mind. It also hasn't really been proven
to really give us much of a difference in win
(57:09):
loss record over the years. It's so funny we talk
about all these different things. When teams play on the road,
they're tough schedule, and guess what, the team with the
best DVOA is in the super Bowl every year, Like
you know, the team with the best quarterback of best
defense tends to be in the super Bowl every year.
I mean, it's not that difficult I think in the
end to figure out. You know, of course, injuries play
a big factor in all this, and that does matter
(57:30):
every year because we get to week seventeen, it's like
which quarterbacks are still standing at which teams still players left?
Speaker 2 (57:35):
Right?
Speaker 7 (57:35):
I mean we see that every single season where you know,
Washing Detroit last year. Just like guys getting hurt. I
get that, But a lot of this stuff boils down
to just what quarterback you're playing, like what time of
year you playing the team. I think a lot of
people sell a lot of stuff when it comes to
scheduling that just does not really matter at all in
(57:57):
figure out who's winning more games who's not. Uh. And
so we'll see if it holds true this year or not.
Speaker 2 (58:03):
Yeah, you know, everyone talked about themvers week schedule last year. Well,
this year, like Brian said, a little bit different here
YESTERDA early, Chiefs, Rams, Chargers, Seahawks, Seahawks all the first
six games. Uh, so this is gonna be a much
different year. Primetime games have been saved for only the
good teams this year. I don't see any king. Sure,
the Raiders are the Jets, So I like that crack.
Speaker 5 (58:23):
I'm totally fine with that. You know, my Dolphins, they
don't belong. They're bad, You get them off.
Speaker 2 (58:29):
Do we get some kind of flex games this year.
Speaker 4 (58:31):
If they're good, if they're good enough, they get flexed in. Yeah,
that's fine.
Speaker 7 (58:34):
So probably it feels very clear that that ESPN will
they invest in more money in the NFL, including a
playoff game, and also getting bucket Akman they give him
better games the amount of football Slit's incredible. It's so good.
Those an't football's okay? And the holiday schedules amazing, Like
the holiday games are great. Their national games are so so.
(58:55):
You know, they shipped over. They did like a Saints
Jaguars game. Not the best, but correct, You're right. The
minded football slate this year is fantastic. It is really good,
and so I'm excited. Man, it's gonna be a really
fun year in the NFL. You know, there's uh I
think it's pretty wide open right now. I don't. I
don't think there's a lot of teams I feel great
(59:17):
about winning at the moment.
Speaker 4 (59:19):
I love the Lions this season.
Speaker 7 (59:21):
I think I think they have a chance to bounce back.
But I still think the loss of Ben Johnson has
not been dealt with enough there so that is a
question I have about about them at the moment. But
the Lions just sort of it feels like a last
for all type of season, right because this is sort
of feels like, you know, golf is getting older and
over how long can you continue to run this back?
Speaker 5 (59:40):
I think they'll go as their old line goes. If
their old line, you know, they drafted a first rounder. Yeah, Clemson, right,
if their old line is back to what we're accustomed to.
Speaker 4 (59:49):
You have to have a legit old line in front
of Jared goff.
Speaker 5 (59:52):
Right like, and they if they are good enough and
you can unleash Jamiir Gibbs. Their schedule is so favorable, man,
playing a last place schedule. I don't think they're gonna
have a really good regular season. We'll see come playoff time.
You know, they're able to make a big push forward,
by the way, super fast while you're talking schedule, and
I've got the PGA Championship going on. The amount of
(01:00:13):
Eagle fans yelling at Scotty Scheffler, So, Scotty Scheffler is
a Cowboys fan.
Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
The Eagles fans there was.
Speaker 5 (01:00:19):
One see you on Thanksgiving, Scotty, you know like that.
It's so funny, man, there were chance like go birds.
I heard go birds so many times.
Speaker 4 (01:00:30):
Yesterday's pretty funny.
Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
All right.
Speaker 5 (01:00:32):

Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
Hi, Yes, we welcome our good friend Christian Cipolini in here,
senior trading manager at BETMGM. Good morning to you, Christian.
All right, so NBA Playoffs Game seven tonight. The total
is a lot lower, right, we get it. Game seven
could be a grinder. But what's the money looking like
when the total is a lot lower than what we've
seen through six games of this series? What are people
(01:02:11):
on more than not? Are they on the over? Are
they just hammering the under here?
Speaker 14 (01:02:16):
Yeah, it's actually funny you brought that up, because I
was just looking at this and my expectations going into
a game seven is this is actually usually the one
game where we might actually get more unders bets than overs,
you know, obviously, of course, just in general, historically game
sevens tend to be low scoring. Obviously, this total is
much lower.
Speaker 6 (01:02:36):
And then when I went and looked, we have ninety
percent of our action towards the over, almost nothing over beds.
So pretty shocking here. But I guess with the two teams,
I guess people expected to go over, and I guess
people just see that it's a lot lower than normal,
but yeah, majority coming on the over. When I look
at the spread in total, it's also a majority of
(01:02:57):
the action coming in on the Pistons. The books perspective
was certainly going to be wanting too for the Calves.
And then even when I go from a futures book standpoint,
the Calves are one of our two remaining winners on
the book, just them and the Thunder, so really easy one.
From the book's perspective. Today, we'll hope that the Calves
can go on and win this one.
Speaker 7 (01:03:17):
Well, I feel much better about the under or give
them a parlayer, So I'm I glet I'm on that
side the under there looking ahead to next series because
I think that Spurs and Thunder is probably the best
conference finals we've had and I can't even name me
the years, right, just fight. The winner of this is
going to win the championship. Six and a half fields
(01:03:37):
got big number for this, considering the way the Spurs
have played against the Thunder the season. What do you
make so far of the of the early action in
this one.
Speaker 6 (01:03:47):
Yeah, I think you're right. It's you know, most people
will probably talk of this as the winner of that
game likely will go on to end up winning the finals,
And when you look at it from there, you know
the future split the percentage that we're booking both of
them right now, both of them would be a pretty
overwhelming favorite whoever they should play coming the East. With this,
(01:04:08):
so far, we've taken more Thunder bets. I expect that
to probably continue, but I don't think it'll be overwhelming.
I think we will get a lot of Spurs bets.
If I were to picture how I think that this
entire series goes by a game by game basis, I
think we'll be really really close in each game. I
think we'll probably be rooting for whoever the road team
is most likely in these cases. But yeah, two pretty
(01:04:30):
I know that the spread is going to be a
little bit bigger than that. But really, on paper, in
the way that this is looking at it as it's
poked right now, it's a fairly even matchup, despite the
Thunder being a much bigger favorite on the series winner.
But game by game is going to be fairly even,
I would think from a betting standpoint.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Hey Christian Detroit Cleveland, tonight, you said you're going to
be rooting probably for the under, and just to let
anyone know that it's listening and watching, the best line
in the world for the under is at bet MGM
two o five and a half, where the entire markets
at two oh five. So you guys have the best
line on the under. And did you say it would
(01:05:10):
would it hurt if Detroit? I know you said okay,
SE's okay for you long term, but Detroit would uh
would actually hurt you guys a little bit? Or because
of your Michigan presence? Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 6 (01:05:23):
So our biggest loser on the Future's book is the
Pistons and then just after that Suspurs. So those are
the two teams we're looking to get knocked out at
some point. So for us, if we could get well,
if we could get a thunder Calves final, that would
be our ideal outcome. But a thunder Knicks final will
be the next best one we'd be looking at us.
Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
But would you root for Detroit? Maybe because you're gonna
you'll get a lot more action in the next series though,
lots more volume. It's it's a tricky situation.
Speaker 6 (01:05:50):
Probably, Yeah, if you're right there, that could be the
silver lining that maybe I'll speak to my boss on
if we lose on this one, but for the rest
of it, uh, you know the rest. Yeah, you're right,
like a Knicks Piston series would take a ton of
action that I think would end up being a lot
more popular than the nixt Cabs series. So you could
look at from that lens. But sureas okay, we just
(01:06:11):
get knocking out a really big liability from the futures book.
Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
I'll speak to your bush. I'll take care of it.
Speaker 5 (01:06:18):
Yeah, yeah, there you go, crack the mouthpiece of the
uh you know, the senior trading manager, right, I like that.
Speaker 4 (01:06:24):
Yeah, no problem, Christian.
Speaker 5 (01:06:26):
If you put all futures to the side, just put
them to the side. Are there any big needs for
you guys at bet MGM. You got the NBA playoffs
going on, We're looking at the conference finals coming up here,
pak is going on PGA Championship. Anything that you need
more than anything else?
Speaker 6 (01:06:43):
Yeah, I mean when we do go to a game
seven tomorrow night. In the hockey, we'll be rooting for
the Sabers. Another one where I know you said take
off futures stuff, but the Canadians are a loser on
our futures book. From the NHL side, so we'll definitely
be rooting for the Sabers in that one. Of course,
like I mentioned today, a rooting for the Cavs in
the NBA. If I turned to golf, we actually were
(01:07:05):
very somewhat balanced, or at least I guess the most
wide open tournament that I can remember for a major
tournament in a while, with a ton of players. I
think I saw something like forty players within three or
four strokes. So from there we have a pretty good book.
We're really just hoping that Scotty doesn't end up winning,
but somebody like Rob or Roy are actually okay for
(01:07:26):
us in this golf final.
Speaker 7 (01:07:29):
NFL Week one lines are up. I'm sure Bill Krachenberger
walked into your office the other day just dropped like
a million dollars right on your tables, like, give you all,
give me all the numbers, all the lines. How much
action have you seen so far on a Week one number.
I imagine that people are excited to at least get the
numbers out there. I know limits are probably down a
little bit. You're not getting you know, the giant fish
(01:07:50):
in there every day betting on these. But week one
you got any.
Speaker 8 (01:07:53):
Action so far?
Speaker 14 (01:07:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:07:55):
Of course, always a funny one because we get a
little bit different here. So obviously our limits will be
a lot lower. We're not going to take a ton
of action. But you know the other issue is that
you're tying up your money for a good amount of time.
You know, you have four months until the NFL regular season,
so a lot more casuals will not be so inclined
to get money down, But the sharper people will tend
(01:08:17):
to jump on things pretty quick. Like one specifically that
I looked at was Bears at Panthers. The Bears are
two and a half point favorites with us. We took
a lot of action on them at two and a half.
I could imagine right there that a sharp person would
say this, why is going to eventually go to three?
Speaker 3 (01:08:31):
And that's a pretty key spot.
Speaker 6 (01:08:32):
So let me get this two and a half now
while I can so, yeah, stuff around key numbers. I've
already seen some action and probably would make a lot
of sense.
Speaker 7 (01:08:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
I actually bet with MGM the Chiefs minus two and
a half minus fifteen. We pointed over Denver. It's around
the key number. Minnesota plus one and a half first
Green Bays. My other bet that I made with you guys,
and that's still available. But that brings up a good
point though, I would think that people do not like
tying up their money for four months. But better yet,
(01:09:05):
I made some future bets with you guys regular season
in college, en pro, and whenever I bet stuff like this,
I say, is anyone tying up their money for you know,
this is more than six months? More like eight nine months.
Do you guys find a lot of volume on regular
season wins in the NFL or not really yet? The
(01:09:27):
bulk of the bets like that come in more towards
the middle of the summer, maybe preseason football. Is that
when they would come in.
Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
Yeah, the bulk of them will come in August when
training camp starts and you see some hype things going on,
and that's where a lot of it comes. But also
with this futures to see the wins playoffs, you know,
we'll tend to get a lot lower staking action as
opposed to you know, getting bets up into the thousands.
You know, we'll see more of that as we get
a lot closer to the season and into the season
(01:09:55):
where we'll take kind of bigger action. But you know,
from a casual the public respective. You know, it seems
like a lot for somebody to put, you know, a
thousand plus bucks up for that amount of time that
would take for that to go. But you know, a
twenty five fifty dollar bet, we'll see a lot more
of that type of volume come through as opposed to
a bigger one.
Speaker 5 (01:10:15):
You know, Christian, I don't want to, you know, like
figuratively kick you out the door, but you're sixers, buddy.
Speaker 4 (01:10:21):
What happened?
Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
Man?
Speaker 6 (01:10:22):
Oh, I was talking to someone.
Speaker 7 (01:10:26):
I was like, yeah, I was on.
Speaker 6 (01:10:26):
The radio talking about how I was proud that they
finally won a game, and then it goes sweeping and
by the next week I don't even like him anymore.
Speaker 4 (01:10:35):
That's how bad it was.
Speaker 5 (01:10:36):
I'm done. I'm divorcing though. Well, hey Christian, great stuff
has always been. Hope you have a great rest of
the day and we'll catch you soon.
Speaker 6 (01:10:44):
Yeah, big tay, good look everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:10:46):
Yeah there he is.
Speaker 5 (01:10:47):
Christian Sippolini bet MGM, senior trading manager. Always fun talking
to him. Man, he's awesome, speaking awesome, Isaac lohen Praun.
We go from awesome to awesome over here. It's like
the acer leg of the four by one hundred meter relay.
Isaac Lohan Krown like Usain Bolt. Just listen to him,
go right here. What's the latest?
Speaker 6 (01:11:07):
Di Lo?
Speaker 4 (01:11:08):
Bye?
Speaker 8 (01:11:08):
Thank you, Brian.
Speaker 11 (01:11:09):
And we had some awesome and somewhat unexpected breaking news
this morning. As in the NBA, esp HA reported that
Shay Gilgis Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder has won
his second consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player Award. The award
winner was supposed to be officially revealed tonight at seven
point thirty Eastern on Amazon Prime Video before Game seven
(01:11:32):
between the Pistons and Calves, but apparently Amazon Prime Video
did not have a subscription to MVP Announcement Prime anyway.
In the NFL, Aaron Rodgers agreed to a one year
deal to remain with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The PGA Championship.
Alex Smalley, at six under par overall, has a two
shot lead over John Rohm, Roy McElroy, Xanders Shopley and
(01:11:54):
Patrick Reid are all three shots back. In Game six
of the NHL's Eastern Conference Semi five on Saturday night,
the Buffalo Sabers wonted Montreal eight to three to force
a Game seven Sabers trailed three to one just ten
minutes and fourteen seconds into the game. Baseball Saturday Night,
sho Hey Otani five RBI and the Los Angeles Dodgers
(01:12:15):
fifteen to two win over the Angels. In Anaheim, the
Giants Casey Schmid hit two home runs at a six
four victory over the Athletics. Finally, in MMA Saturday Night,
Ronda Rousi defeated Gina Carano in just seventeen seconds. Here's
how it sounded on Netflix.
Speaker 12 (01:12:31):
Round and bound, rowdy, looking for the arm and already
the arm.
Speaker 7 (01:12:35):
Let's over, mom, mom mea.
Speaker 13 (01:12:37):
It is just what incredible, the most devastating Finnish in
MMA history, and Ronda Rowsey just took another arm.
Speaker 8 (01:12:47):
Hostage and just like that, guys, back to you, there.
Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
You go, Thank you.
Speaker 6 (01:12:54):
I LO.
Speaker 5 (01:12:54):
It is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown, presented by BETTMGM. Can
I give you guys a betting angle that has been
really successful that doesn't really apply to today but could
in the future.
Speaker 4 (01:13:05):
You guys for that.
Speaker 5 (01:13:07):
I love when there are games when one team is
facing elimination and you just back that team not to win,
but maybe their team total. You can get creative with it.
But it is consistently paid off. The Sabers last night
Game six, they scored eight goals and one going away, right,
But facing one team facing elimination, there's seasons on the line.
(01:13:29):
They're going to scratch and claw. You had the Pistons
in Game six, just a couple of nights ago, we
saw that went twenty one point win. These team totals
are successful. Even the Timberwolves when they got blown out
by the Spurs, they still covered their they went over
their team total. And your Lakers, Jeff, game four, you know,
facing a sweep, they went out and easily cleared their
(01:13:50):
team total.
Speaker 4 (01:13:51):
So something to keep in mind.
Speaker 5 (01:13:53):
It doesn't as much factor in when both teams are
facing elimination, so like.
Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
Game seven today, not a thing.
Speaker 5 (01:13:59):
But I think keep that in mind as the the
NHL the NBA playoffs go along. When one team is
facing elimination, man, they throw the kitchen sink out there.
They're trying to stay alive, right, so their team totals
are more than live.
Speaker 7 (01:14:13):
Yeah, I mean, they're just trying again to your point,
like just give you it's pet. But but then again,
we saw like other other teams like the Wolves, just
they just weren't good enough. So it's not always the
beyond all, but I do think that we see that
effort from those teams. The hockey lost that was crazy
because Manco was up three to one at home.
Speaker 4 (01:14:33):
Crazy the Buffalo pulled.
Speaker 7 (01:14:36):
Their goalie nine minutes into the game and they didn't
allow a goal the rest of the game.
Speaker 4 (01:14:40):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (01:14:40):
When they look about hockey, it's fun Like, dude, just
get tossed the last three minutes of a game when
it's up blowout, they just start fighting each other and
just go, Like can you imagine in other sports if
like I was getting blown out, like in a football game,
I just didn't want to block anymore and just started
touching someone after the place, and they're like just go,
just go Schwartz go. Like they even call penalties, they
(01:15:01):
just throw them out. They're like misconduct, Bye bye, your dog,
get out of here. Like I would love to miss
the last four minutes of a thirty five point blowout
and I don't have the pass protect anymore, Like please
send me, send me home, throw off the I's like,
it's just funny out on hockey. It's like accepted that
that they still kind of fight and like punch each
other and whatnot, and they're just like, yeah, you're goodbye,
(01:15:23):
get out of here, goodbye. But Game seven should be incredible.
In that game, and you know, we get the Canadians
just sitting at Cannes. Think the Hurricanes are sitting at
home man waiting for someone to play. They've been off
so long. Yeah, it does feel like a Colorado Carolina
which would be a great series. Is Caroline's defensive the
Colorado's offense. It'd be a ton of fun. It feels
(01:15:44):
like that's where we're headed. Uh in the nanjee nice Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:15:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:15:49):
By the way, Uh, that Timberwolves game when they got
blown out by thirty points, that game was on drugs.
I don't know if I've ever seen this before. The
second quarter. Minnesota didn't score in the first five minutes.
They didn't have a point Jesus, and they ended up
scoring thirty four points in that quarter. That makes absolutely
no sense.
Speaker 7 (01:16:10):
Yeah, I mean it was it Game three when they
got down eighteen to three and then scored the last right.
Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
Yeah, they were down by a point at the end
of the quarter.
Speaker 7 (01:16:17):
Yeah. I thought the Spurs. I kept sort of live
wagering in the walk got like plus seventeen and a
half and plus sixteen. I'm like, they're gonna have something.
And then Spurts came in the third quarter and just
molly wop them in it like just came out. When
the Spurs make their threes, they're not losing. They're not losing. Okay,
see they're losing to nobody. If they make their threes,
it's not gonna happen. They're such a good team. They
(01:16:39):
play good defense. They're too young to even know better.
They don't know any better. But they're fun to watch.
I'll tell you that. Every time we Wemby's on TV.
I showed my son and he's like he's in awe.
He's like wow, it just it's so fun to watch
his face and he looks at what it doesn't look real.
He doesn't look real on the court.
Speaker 4 (01:16:57):
Crazy really is crazy, all right?
Speaker 5 (01:17:00):

Speaker 5 (01:18:20):
Okay, prop bets galore here, Prac, I know you've got
a roll at decks of plays.
Speaker 4 (01:18:26):
What's one of the beame like the game US here.
Speaker 2 (01:18:27):
Let's go a game seven and the Pistoon this game here,
Donovan Mitchell Cleveland rebounds assist over seven and a half
minus supporter, expect Mitchell to be more aggressive on the
boards today in a winner going situation. I would expect
more double teams and close out for the Piston defense too.
Fors and Mitchell to pass more and have Morris to
(01:18:48):
stopportunity Mitchell over seven and a half minus order who
bounds and assist? Interesting? Real like that?
Speaker 7 (01:18:56):
Okay, so the tough games, let's to find a lot here.
I do with WNBA prop as well, But I just
think that I think Paul read Over at six and
a half points. He has come in and been such
a spark for the Pistons at center. I do want
to look at it's not up yet for like points
and rebounds. He's done both at a high level, and
(01:19:17):
he started getting more playing time and more opportunity. He's
the energy he's brought to this team. Whenever he's been
in has been pretty impressive, and he seems to be
getting a little boys. Durant has struggled a little bit
more in the series where he's been a little bit
more run again. He's he's scored eleven, fifteen, ten, and
seventeen and the fourteens is playing this series. He's started
(01:19:38):
to really picking up a little bit. The last one
that's not up yet, and it will be up at
some point. We did this last year. Brian, the center
who's playing the Fever scored.
Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
I thought about that the other day.
Speaker 7 (01:19:49):
And the Fever's defense, the three of us might just
stand in there and do a better job. They are
so bad on defense. And Aliat Boston's hurt, she might
not play today. The Seattle Center is also hurt today.
So I'm taking basically not their backup center, but one
of their forwards here, Dolson. She'll be at eight and
a half when it comes up. I'm taking the over
(01:20:12):
the other day she had seen it sixteen points. If
Fever just can't guard the inside, Brian, so when when
that comes up, I'm taking Dolson over as well.
Speaker 5 (01:20:22):
Hey, I get it, man, totally understand that one. I
like what you're thinking right there, Crack close your ears
here real fast. By all right, I have to I
have to suggest the parlay now, and my pick here
is Schwarber, Jimmy Kyle Schwarber over zero point five total bases.
I know Paul Skeins is on the mound, but Schwarber
is just absolutely on fire. He's got to get one
(01:20:43):
total base. I think he's gonna accomplish that. I take
the loss. I'll take the yel if he doesn't get there,
if he goes over the day, I'll take the loss.
How about you got Paul Reid minus one sixty five
over six and a half points. If you parlay that
with Dean White under three and a half points, that'd
be a plus one sixty five payout.
Speaker 4 (01:21:03):
I actually like that little two piece combo right there,
could see that bearing fruit. Oh what is going on?
Speaker 5 (01:21:09):
Happy Sunday to you as we get to game seven tonight,
huh for all the marbles in the second round of
the Eastern Conference playoffs here Calves Pistons.
Speaker 4 (01:21:21):
We'll have a full breakdown of that coming up here.
Speaker 5 (01:21:24):
Hey, with the iHeartRadio app, you can stream us wherever

it'll always pop up at the top of your screen.
All right, Calves Pistons tonight Game seven. I'll tell you
(01:21:48):
what couple of things. The Pistons are very hard to kill.
If nothing else, they are hard to kill. We've learned
that in these playoffs. Down three to one against the Magic,
twenty four point deficit on the road in Game six,
they come back win three straight, win that series and
then facing elimination on the road against Cleveland and they
(01:22:09):
smacked the Calves by twenty one points. So hard to
kill these pistons. We'll see if the Calves are up
for it tonight. And the other thing is can the
Calves respond from that debacle in game six?
Speaker 4 (01:22:21):
Is this going to be?
Speaker 5 (01:22:22):
It wasn't quite as deflating as the Magic being up
by twenty four in Game six and then losing that
game by double digits, and they just they could they
couldn't respond from that. Can the Calves respond from what
we saw two nights ago with a pathetic display out there,
Like you said, Jeff Spider Mitchell, only eighteen points on
twenty shots, totally inefficient, horrible game. The Beard more turnovers
(01:22:47):
than made field goals. He had a rough game too,
and he was making shots down the stretch, but still
a very rough game.
Speaker 4 (01:22:53):
Can your guys, can your stars play like it?
Speaker 5 (01:22:56):
And can you rebound from what was an awful, awful
Game six close out situation?
Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
You can?
Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
You can move on?
Speaker 5 (01:23:04):
And they didn't even show up? So are they there mentally?
Are they locked in? So a couple of questions heading
into tonight's Game seven.
Speaker 7 (01:23:11):
Why would the Cavs play any different? They turned the
bowl over at an alarming rate. You had a close out
game again Game six at home, and a close out
like you end the series all right after you come
back from what fifteen points a fourth quarter right in
that game and and and make them, make them move
and fifty a half points, and you turn them over
(01:23:33):
eight times in the first quarter, which have done all series,
and twenty times for the game. Out hustled out, rebounded out,
shot like your three doesn't go in more on the road,
typically right goes in more at home, and they just
have progressively gotten a little bit worse. Donovan Mitchell again
very streaky at times in this series, close out game
(01:23:57):
you know, had a chance, It feels like him and
hard and looked tired, a little tired in the series.
Twenty one points, eighteen points from down for forty three.
He beat thirty one, thirty five, forty three, then twenty
one and now eighteen. And there's not that extra day
off in this series. And you're going back on the
road to play a Pistons team. So I don't trust
(01:24:20):
either team crack, but I do feel like history would
make this a fifteen point Pistons win, right Like? That's
sort of what right like? Isn't that sort of the
NBA history? Like you blew a Game six like this,
you don't come back and win Game seven on the road.
And also too worth noting the Cavs did win Game
five on the road. But I've been pretty bad on
(01:24:42):
the road in the postseason up until that. They'd not
been a good road team.
Speaker 2 (01:24:46):
Yeah, yeah, right here in this space. Last week I
said this feels like it could go to Game seven,
even though I didn't want it to go to Game seven.
I was hoping this was over quicker because I bet
the Pistons to win the series. But we get a
big Game seven today, and this one's been back and
forth the last two teams winning on the road. The
Pistons really blew Game five. They were up eight with
(01:25:07):
two minutes left and losing in overtime, but then came
back in Game six, as we said here on the
road and looked really dominant. So I think the Pistons
are all around a better team, but they don't really
have the playoff experience Mitchell has Donovan Mitchell, so I
could see this one going either way. I wouldn't be surprised,
even though I am gonna be rooting for the Pistons
(01:25:27):
just to win for my series bet. This could be
Kate Cunningham's last chance also, well I shouldn't say last chance,
but this should be for a big moment. He was
a first pick five years ago but hasn't really had
that big playoff moment yet. We'll see what happens today
and the winners the winner gets the Knicks and the
conference finals. So it should should be fun.
Speaker 4 (01:25:46):
Yeah, should be a lot of fun.
Speaker 5 (01:25:48):
And that's the thing is neither team is to be trusted,
you know, like the when the Pistons start turning the
ball over, Oh my lord, it is this bad basketball,
and that happens far too often. So I don't trust
either team as far as I can throw them. But
the Calves and what we saw that was a three
point game at halftime. Calves are only down by three
points at halftime. They got outscored by eighteen points at
(01:26:11):
home in a close out game six right like that,
that just can't happen, and it did.
Speaker 4 (01:26:18):
But when the.
Speaker 5 (01:26:19):
Pistons start turning it over, man, it's like watching the Blazers.
When the Blazer oh my gosh, this season, when they
started turning it over, they could not stop. It's like
eating pringles. You know, you can't stop me. Once you pop,
you can't stop, right Like, That's what turnovers are with
the Pistons, the Calves, the Blazers in the regular season,
when they start turning it over, they can't stop. And
(01:26:41):
it just happens time and time. I don't know what happens.
They get into this realm and they can't get out
of it. You always say, getting stuck in the mud. Offensively,
that's what happens with turnovers.
Speaker 4 (01:26:52):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:26:53):
They just start turning it over in bulk. It's like
they're shopping at one of those buying bulk stores or something.
I don't know, they got the giant shopping carts. And
but the other question is, you know, Kate Cunningham has
been very good in this series and is a true star.
Can he stop turning it over too? I know we're
focusing on the Beard, but Kate Cunningham had seven turnovers
(01:27:14):
himself the last game. It's like, I don't understand all
these turnovers from Kate. And he's a good assist guy.
He's not a ball hog and just shooting it at will.
He gets others involved, but man, the careless turnovers and sometimes,
like in critical times. You know, he turned it over
a few times at the end of one of their
losses in this series. So he's got to be a
(01:27:35):
lot more careful with the ball for the Pistons to
emerge in this one, I think. And you gotta get
something more from Tobias Harris. He was a no show
the last game. He's been ineffective the last three games. Yeah,
so yeah, that's something else to keep an eye on.
Speaker 7 (01:27:48):
This is why I think the under is good play today, right,
How many guys were talking about just sort of have
gotten worse throughout the series? And of course you can
play Grand game seven. How many guys just turn on
Game seven?
Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:27:58):
Oh, I know it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
Right.
Speaker 7 (01:27:59):
So we've talked about Mitchell getting worse, hard and getting worse,
Tobias Harris getting worse, Kay Cunningham getting a little bit worse.
Turn the ball over like this feels like you look
up and this is seventy to seventy to start the
fourth quarter. You know, it's one of those games we're
just you know, it's just gonna be grinded out. So
you know, two o six and a half. It's a
little low. I get it, but it does feel like
(01:28:19):
that type of game. And it'll wait all day to
play too. You have to wait all day to play
this game. You could play this game at three thirty
and just sort of wake up and go play basketball.
Gotta worry about it all day, and it it's a
tough spot for both these both these teams. I think
Detroit to Cracks Points played better for more of the
series than Kee Cleveland has and it would surprise me
(01:28:43):
if they were able to win this game by about
ten to fifteen points.
Speaker 5 (01:28:46):
Wow, would you think about playing them on a on
an alt line?
Speaker 7 (01:28:52):
Maybe maybe I'm after the last couple of days, I'm
kind of beaten, so I feel like that's like, you know,
you know, I don't know if I want to go
back to that that that that thought process there, but
maybe I will. We'll see. I like some of the
other props better in this game, and I like my
my w NBA play on the on the whatever the
(01:29:13):
w B.
Speaker 5 (01:29:14):
Thought opposing Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:29:17):
Yeah, they need a fever. To me, Brian, I have
turned into a team that you can't waitder anymore. They're
just unwagerable. They played no defense, right, that doesn't that
that's not good? They feel like, I don't what's the
NBA equivalent of the fever? Like lots of offense, no defense,
undisciplined play, can't hold leads. Kind of fun to watch,
(01:29:38):
but like just an unserious group. I just like they're
just like untrustworthy. You just can't trust them in any
single game. Yeah, they're up thirteen points at home in
the second quarter to a team that's basically full of
first and second year players in Washington, and Washington just
walked them down. They're winning halftime and the fever just
never they missed layups, foul shots. They just can never.
(01:30:00):
They never play it. They should, they just never do goy.
Speaker 4 (01:30:04):
Yeah, I don't know, I don't know what the equivalent
would be.
Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
Yeah, I'm actually gonna bet that, uh Detroit Cleveland or
two five and a half a bet MGM, only because
I'm looking at them. I have an odd screen that
has the live odds of you know, every sports book
in the world that matters anyway, you know, two dozen
of them for me, and uh two o five's everywhere
pretty solid, Uh two five and a half at bet MGM,
(01:30:26):
And I kind of agree you sometimes it's tight down that,
you know, game game seven. I like Jeff just said,
it's like seventy seventy that would be a great score
going into the fourth the fourth quarter. So I kind
of do lean that way myself. You know, game six
is historically I've have been much much lower scoring six
six and seven. And you see, it's so important to
(01:30:49):
get the right number. The other night landing on two
oh nine when the market was like to ten to
ten and a half too. I mean, these numbers do
fall too, even though they're crazy variants to fall on
a total more than the side. But I was gonna
probably save it for the end to have in one
of my plays. But I am going to make that
(01:31:10):
an official play here Cleveland Detroit at bet MGM two
five and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:31:15):
There you go, I like it.
Speaker 5 (01:31:17):
Yeah, that makes sense, like the thought process Jeff throughout
there when you just start looking at these players in
this series and you're like, all right, Mitchell regressing as
the series has gone on, Harden more turnovers, Cad more turnovers,
Tobias Harris Is scoring is going lower, lower, lower each
of the last three games. Jalen Duran is the only
(01:31:37):
guy who's actually had a well one of the only
guys that's had a positive uptick, where in Game six
he was fantastic and finally I had a Jalen Duran sighting.
He's been on a milk carton pretty much the entire
playoffs here and Paul Reid doing his things. He's made
a big contribution. It's funny he didn't even play the
first two games of this series and now he's made
(01:31:57):
a big time impact. The funny thing to me is
the Knicks get grated on such a curve. I know,
this is a weird left turn. But the winner of
Game seven, Calves Piston, is gonna take on the Knicks.
I was thinking about this too, where the Knicks have
been dominant in the playoffs, so we have to keep
that straight, right, They've won their eight games by a
(01:32:18):
combined one hundred and ninety six points and they've only
lost two games by a combined two points. Okay, so
they have been dominant. Give them their bouquets. But are
you telling me if the Hawks beat down the uh,
you know, let's say the Calves. If the Calves beat
down the Hawks and the Sixers, are we going crazy?
Speaker 8 (01:32:38):
Are we like, look out for the Caves.
Speaker 5 (01:32:40):
No, we wouldn't be at all, but we are with
the Knicks. I think people just get so giddy about
the Knicks. Their fan base is awesome. People get a lot,
there's a lot of excitement going on. But if you
just look at the end of the day, they've beaten
the Hawks and the Sixers, like, okay, great, Like what
does that mean going forward? Exactly? It doesn't mean a
whole lot to me in terms of opponents. Their style
(01:33:02):
of play means a lot. But yeah, I don't know.
This mixed dominance. I think it's overstated.
Speaker 7 (01:33:07):
I think it's more they just well, they're not going
to beat the Spurs or the Thunder, but I think
they'll beat the Pistons or the Calves. But I do
think it's just about how they did it right, Like
they just dismantled Philly. We just saw beat Boston.
Speaker 5 (01:33:20):
Yeah, but if all things are equal, if the Calves
did that, if the Pistons did that, do you think
we'd be going crazy about the Pistons.
Speaker 7 (01:33:27):
I don't know, but I think because they have Jalen Brunson,
and they have like Bridges played much better in the
Sixers series in the first series, right, So Bridges playing
that well, and they're a team that feels trustworth, like
they play with such effort and intensity every night that
you feel good about them. I think, like tonight, for example,
(01:33:48):
I go back to this tonight, I don't know who's
going to play well. I think it's Detroit. I think
the Calves won't. I don't know, but I know what
I'm getting from there. I know I'm getting effort. They
might not shoot the ball every night, but I'm getting
an effort. I'm getting Brunton to come out early in
the first quarter, give me ten points. And I just
don't know if we trust these other two East teams
and so may maybe that's why Nicks get more fun.
It's both as New York City. I think people want
(01:34:09):
the Knicks to be good and and be in it
and you know, and be in the discussion. I think
the NBA is better for the Knicks are.
Speaker 4 (01:34:17):
Good, oh no doubt. And I love how they've played.
Speaker 5 (01:34:20):
I love Kat being a point forward and that's unlocked
a lot of their offense. I think it's a really
smart approach. But it's just the comments I hear where
it's like, doesn't matter Caves or Pistons, Knicks are beating
both those teams.
Speaker 4 (01:34:33):
It's like, oh no, I don't know that. We know
that as a fact.
Speaker 5 (01:34:37):
You know, the Pistons smacked around the Knicks in all
three regular season meetings, So I don't know, like just
writing them in Penn in the finals or I've got
Knicks fans that are buddies of mine. They're like, we're
winning it all. It's not even just getting to the finals.
I'm like, you guys need to slow down, man to
come on, and we're fandom.
Speaker 7 (01:34:55):
He stands for fanatic, right, fan for fanatic. Yeah, there,
that's what it is, right. So I think that's part
of part of this is that Knicks s match are
so excited. There's a lot of celebrity Nick fans. There's
a lot of noise with the Knicks. It's massive, square
garden like it's that's that's why I think we're looking
for someone in the East to give us some sort
(01:35:17):
of productivity that we can rely on against the Thunder
or Spurs, and you get again, you get that with
Brunson like that, you get that with Brunson. So I
think that's why there's excitement for that. And I think
the Knicks probably you know, gentlemen sweep whoever they play.
This Western Conference Finals is going to be so good.
Speaker 4 (01:35:38):
Oh, I can't wait for it.
Speaker 7 (01:35:40):
I think seven and half six and a half is
way too many points game one. Yeah, I am surprised
it's so high. And Christian said, all the money's on
the Thunder. No surprise there. Do we forget the Spurs like,
play them.
Speaker 4 (01:35:54):
Well in the regular season and yeah, real tough.
Speaker 7 (01:35:58):
And they seem to not really care at all about
how young they are in this situation. The thing about
the thunder though, that is worth I think exploring. I
don't really know how to quantify this, but how hard
do they really play the first eight games? Is there
another sort of dimension to the way that we now?
Jenlen The women's being back certainly is part of that,
(01:36:19):
but they kind of like coasted against the Lakers a bunch.
Speaker 5 (01:36:23):
What you're right, SGA has to be way sharper.
Speaker 7 (01:36:27):
Right, right, But like, what do we get from when
the thunder turned on most often the third quarter of
the Lakers series, they were unsoppable, Like the Lakers have
just had no chance? Right, they do that for four
quarters against San Antonio. We've'ven't seen them do that or
try to do that yet in the postseason. So maybe
we're a little bit quick to judge too much about
what we've seen so far from Oklahm because the could
just decide, they have to decide really in this series
(01:36:48):
to play that way for four quarters, they're gonna lose.
Speaker 5 (01:36:50):
Yeah, I can't wait for it, man, that is a
price of a series.
Speaker 4 (01:36:56):
Yeah, I can't wait for that.
Speaker 7 (01:36:57):
Yeah, it's gonna be It's gonna be good. Hopefully they
don't put on my Amazon Prime.
Speaker 5 (01:37:04):
Are we done with Prime? Yet they're still in the
second round. Are we done in the conference finals? Can
we just be done?
Speaker 4 (01:37:10):
Please? Can we be done with it?
Speaker 7 (01:37:13):
Is it? Is it going to be that way in
the in the conference finals?
Speaker 4 (01:37:17):
I'm scared to even peak, right.
Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
But doesn't everyone just have that? But don't don't you
order off Amazon se automatically.
Speaker 7 (01:37:23):
But it's more about it's more about being flip channels. Yeah, if, like,
if hockey and NBA Finals around the same time, you
have to like switch off Amazon Prime, go to Direct
TV and switch the input. It's just it's difficult to do.
It's it's it's very first world problem. It is that way.
(01:37:44):
But that is something that I am just a grape
of mine.
Speaker 5 (01:37:48):
Well, good news. The Western Conference finals are not on
Prime at all. I don't I don't know about the
Eastern Conference because it's just TBD where I'm looking right now.
Speaker 4 (01:37:57):
So I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:37:58):
Fingers crossed that this would be it, this would be
our last potential Prime video telecast tonight, potential, I don't.
Speaker 7 (01:38:06):
Know, the potential potential. We'll see. I'm excited though.
Speaker 4 (01:38:13):
Yeah, very exciting, fun, fun, fun.
Speaker 7 (01:38:16):
I've been decided for NBA series in a while.
Speaker 4 (01:38:18):
Oh yeah, oh, I can't wait for it.
Speaker 5 (01:38:20):
All right, We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian know. For over forty years,
tire Rack has been helping customers find the right tires
for how, what and where they drive, shipped fast and
free back by free road hazard protection, with convenient installation
options like mobile tire installation tire rack dot Com the
way tire buying should be. And it is time for
(01:38:42):
the tire Rack Play of the day.
Speaker 15 (01:38:43):
Swang on and roll up to the right field corner.
This will be a fair ball that's gonna bounce and
go over the wall or near the wall. Monci is
into the score. Carl Hinton right behind him and into
third is no town. He's racing for the play.
Speaker 7 (01:38:57):
He's got a score.
Speaker 4 (01:39:00):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 5 (01:39:01):
Compliments of AM five seventy Dodgers Radio Network. Dodgers crushed
the Angels fifteen to two. You know, I was I
didn't fire on this game, but I was just peeking
late night. I'm like, all right, what games are available
right now? And then it was like Dodgers Angels. The
total is something crazy like fifteen or sixteen and a half.
(01:39:21):
I'm like, all right, the scoring has to end at
some point here. I would lean to the under of anything.
Next thing, I know, two runs score. I'm like, good
thing I didn't fire in that one man. Crazy Dodgers'
offense finally woke up at least for a game. All right,
Coming up next, we've got our dream matchup.
Speaker 4 (01:39:39):
So good. We haven't seen this since the Jordan Bowles days.
We'll explain about that.
Speaker 5 (01:39:45):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM. It

We've got our dream matchup. Spurs Thunder game one tomorrow night,
not on Prime. That's good, NBC shout out to them.
Can flip around if you want, but man, this stat
(01:40:30):
is crazy. So both teams want at least seventy five
percent of their regular season games. This season, right, winning
percentage was over seven point fifty the last time we
had that two teams meeting in the playoffs that wanted
least seventy five percent of their regular season games. You
gotta go all the way back to the nineteen to
ninety eight NBA Finals Bowls versus Jazz Wow, and that
(01:40:54):
those were the last Dance Bowls. Right, that was Jordan
hitting the game winner in Game six. All that go
back to ninety eight. Man, almost thirty years since we've
had two teams in the regular season that want at
least seventy five percent of their game. So that's what
we have with OKC and the Spurs. A true heavyweight
title match right here. I know it's the conference finals,
(01:41:14):
not the NBA Finals, But are a lot of people
that think whoever wins this series is going to go
on and win a title.
Speaker 4 (01:41:19):
I'm one of them.
Speaker 7 (01:41:21):
I think so too. I think what's so fast about
the series is the youth of San Antonio. Right. We
often see the NBA. We talked about us a lot
that you sort of have to have a season where
you struggle in the playoffs before you have that major breakthrough,
and that would lead you to believe that this obviously
would be a series for the Thunder to win. But
I don't know, man, I mean the Thunder last year.
We're a littlehead of schedule, right. It used to be
the Stars didn't win to their twenty seven. Now those
(01:41:42):
twenty six now is twenty five.
Speaker 4 (01:41:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:41:46):
I don't know if it matters as much aymore. All
these players play when't playing a ton of important international
games before we got to the NBA. How much is
this this series going to really mentally test him definitely
than he's been before in his career. I don't I
don't know if it matters as much anymore. I think
Seattle is Seattle. I think that San Antonio is super
(01:42:07):
live to win this series. And I think that some
of that conventional thought process when it comes to you
can't win a series like this until you've gone through
it or been older, and kind of if it applies,
I don't think it applies here.
Speaker 2 (01:42:19):
You know, these were reasonally the two best teams in
the West all season Spurs Thunder. I think this one
also can go seven games that Thunder U do have
the experience factor here and most of the Spurs have
never been this far in the playoffs. But the Spurs
match up well against okay See and beat them a
couple times in the regular season. So this is the
(01:42:41):
matchup that most people want to see here, Chet versus Wemby.
These two seven seven foot tall plus towers can play,
can both play in the paint and behind the three
point line. These two guys combined for six blocks of games,
so we're gonna see a lot of block shots this series.
(01:43:02):
I really do think this is going to be a
good series and and really I would better go seven
games here. So Thunder are currently minus two sixty to
win this series. I think. I guess that's a fair
base price on the experience factor, and they also have
the edge on defense. They have the home court advantage
of that also factors into the line. But again, wouldn't
(01:43:25):
be surprised to see this go seven just like the
Detroit series.
Speaker 5 (01:43:28):
Yeah it could. I wouldn't be shocked either. Crack I
like okay See in the matchup. Like going back to
what you're saying, Jeff, I hear you.
Speaker 4 (01:43:36):
I get it. The Spurs, you know, they've got the alien.
Speaker 5 (01:43:39):
They've got a really really good roster, like solid, and
they played ten deep, and they just come at you
in waves. You know, they wear you down, play a
fast tempo. But I think also you got to look
at who they've beaten. I'm not I'm not quick to
just dismiss the thought that playoff experience matters because you
beat the Blas and beat a flawed you know, Timberwolves
(01:44:04):
team with Anthony Edwards on two bad knees. You know, like,
I'm not willing to just be like a playoff experience
doesn't even matter anymore when you when you're taking on Oka.
Speaker 4 (01:44:12):
See, that's a different weight class.
Speaker 5 (01:44:14):
Sure, and like Prac said, the defensive advantage you go
to OKAC collectively. And but the thing with that the
Spurs have they don't have the playoff experience, but they
have quick guards that give OKAC a lot of problems
when you've.
Speaker 4 (01:44:27):
Got Fox Castle Harper.
Speaker 5 (01:44:29):
When they're doing their thing, you know, penetrating, kicking or
looking to create that gives Okay See some problems. So
and the ten Wemby's the alien, right, he's the equalizer
right there. He is the rim eraser and just changes
so many shots. He's such a weapon defensively, and we
all know what he brings to the table offensively. So
the Spurs are a legit team. But I'm not willing
(01:44:51):
to say I don't care about playoff experience because like
the Spurs want a bunch of regular season games and
beat the Blazers and Timberwolves.
Speaker 4 (01:44:59):
I just I think you can't tell me that.
Speaker 5 (01:45:02):
Hey man, this is a tied series. We got to
win this game final minute. We need a bucket right now.
I think playoff experience matters a lot. So I do
think it matters in this matchup, a couple.
Speaker 7 (01:45:15):
Just individual matchups. All Di jening Women's coming back will
be a big boost for OKC. I think check could
be a race to this series by Wemby. I don't
really have much faith in Chet in this series, which
I don't think, you know, again, that's in general sometimes,
but I do think that it's a pretty difficult matchup
for him, and then so I'm kind of curious to
(01:45:37):
see how he plays in this series against him.
Speaker 5 (01:45:40):
Mm hmm, yeah, I'm interested with Aj Mitchell, right, Aj
Mitchell fantastic against the Lakers and now with Jalen Williams
coming back, that cuts into AJ's minutes.
Speaker 4 (01:45:52):
What does this role look like? How effective is he
you know, not getting the same minutes, not having the
same rhythm. So I'm really interested to see that plays out.
Speaker 7 (01:46:01):
It's a very fascinating matchup series, and there's so many
different ways this can go. The depth of both teams,
you know, does san Antonio? I think at times you
mentioned the one minute left s J gets the ball
for the Thunder? Who gets the ball for the Spurs?
Speaker 4 (01:46:17):
Right one minute left?
Speaker 5 (01:46:18):
Yeah, it's probably gonna be Fox to at least initiate
the offense or Castle would who's the go to guy?
Speaker 2 (01:46:25):
Is it?
Speaker 4 (01:46:25):
Wenby's taking this shot no matter what?
Speaker 2 (01:46:27):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:46:27):
But who is it? It's just are we sure?
Speaker 6 (01:46:29):
Like?
Speaker 7 (01:46:29):
Are we sure? It's like are we? Are we picking roll?
Are we? Iso?
Speaker 2 (01:46:34):
Drive?
Speaker 7 (01:46:34):
Dish to Wemby? Like what what's the I know, what's
gonna shoot a mid range jump shot like.
Speaker 4 (01:46:41):
Or draw contact and.
Speaker 7 (01:46:42):
Get something like that. So I'm kind of curious to
see what happened in those big moments. Who's the guy
in the big moments for the Thunder the Spurs. Who
is the one that's relied upon to make those big shots.
So man, what a what a fun series? I I
really am not looking forward to Eastern Conference series. I
don't know, I just it's not it didn't seem very
(01:47:02):
just to me, not terribly exciting.
Speaker 2 (01:47:04):
Yeah, you guy that went over to bet MGM just
to I said, let me just click on the Spurs
Thunder game. And I clicked on the You know that
there's a sliding scale, you can player props, spreads, totals.
Halfs said, let me go to all. You wouldn't believe
how many ways there are about this game. I just can't.
It's you could just scroll down and down and there's
like eighty different bets you could make on one game.
(01:47:26):
I'm just looking at. I was looking forward to see
what the series price was that bet MGM. I didn't
even get to that yet. I just just all the
different things you do.
Speaker 7 (01:47:36):
Want to hit the other night crack. I don't feel
like this or not a text bran about this. I
took Rudy Gobert to make his first shot and like plus.
Speaker 4 (01:47:43):
One fifty or something.
Speaker 7 (01:47:44):
Yeah wow, No, it was a yes, no, yeah, yeah no,
just was like like yeah, yeah, yeah no not was it, Yes, No,
it was just but like it was, it was method
of first basket. It was made make first He's just dunk,
so he does. He's not missing his first shot. I
looked at Jickens today for the for the Pistons to
make a three pointer as his first shot. It's there,
(01:48:06):
like two to one. He takes a ton of threes
for the Pistons. I could see him just corner three
spotting up. He's not driving the paint. I just took
it as a little sprinkle for the game today. Jackens
first shot made three pointer. That's hound's word. Three pointer,
first shot made something like that, just just something.
Speaker 4 (01:48:25):
What's the payout on that?
Speaker 7 (01:48:28):
I think it's like two to one, okay, maybe right
something around there.
Speaker 5 (01:48:34):
So I thought about you because the last game, Jeff,
game six, Rudy missed his first shot.
Speaker 7 (01:48:39):
It wasn't available. It wasn't available.
Speaker 4 (01:48:42):
You're attempted to.
Speaker 7 (01:48:43):
No, I was attempted to do it, but it was unavailable.
So no, not uh, not not available to do that again?
Is that crazy? Like basically they just took the market down,
and I would have just betted again and lost money.
I know kind of were talking earlier about like the
limits and I get limited certain books. I lost the crack.
(01:49:04):
Every wager I lost in that one book I got
limited to, I lost all of them. They would have
made so much more money off me. They would just
let me wager what I wanted to.
Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
That's the problem with some of the Jeff and I
were were referring to a couple of days ago. He
told me I got limited at one of the sports books,
and I was like, you know, I know these guys
that are in risk. Sometimes they'll limit you, maybe on
the w NBA prop and just just put it in
your account and you're limited on everything, and they don't
look long term. This guy's down money. This guy bets
(01:49:33):
in the NFL, like they just get mad someone that
someone beat them on their shift. Like you know, sometimes
you got to put the long picture in play here
and think, you know what your bosses want, what your
management wants, what your stockholders want if you're a public company.
So uh yeah, it gets frustrating real fast. Sometimes. But
(01:49:54):
uh that's that's what we were talking about there, Like
Jeff got limited on something and it looks like they
whatever that that was a different company and it cost
them money because they limited him on these bets, he
would have lost them.
Speaker 7 (01:50:05):
So it's silly, just.
Speaker 2 (01:50:09):
Long term thinking.
Speaker 5 (01:50:10):
Yeah, yeah, crazy, Well, hey, we're not limited in any way.
When we hear from Isaac Lohenkron, huh, that's just he's
abundance in human form right here, I low with the latest.
Speaker 4 (01:50:22):
What's going on, buddy?
Speaker 11 (01:50:23):
Thank you you You said abundance as one word, not
a bun dance as three words.
Speaker 8 (01:50:31):
Not that I'm saying that that's strong.
Speaker 5 (01:50:33):
Right right, yeah, yeah, I wouldn't go three words with you.
Speaker 8 (01:50:36):
I would take both his compliments.
Speaker 11 (01:50:38):
Speaking of compliments, we have an award because in the NBA,
ESPN's Shams Charania reported this morning that Shay Gilgus Alexander
of the Oklahoma City Thunder has won his second consecutive
NBA Most Valuable Player Award. The award winner was supposed
to be officially revealed tonight at seven thirty Easter and
(01:51:00):
on Amazon Prime Video before Game seven between the Pistons
and Calves. Here was Tarantia's reply when confronted by furious
Prime Video executives about him spilling the beans.
Speaker 2 (01:51:17):
Anyway.
Speaker 11 (01:51:17):
Of the NFL, Aaron Rodgers agreed to a one year
deal to stay with the Pittsburgh Steelers PGA Championship. Alex
Smalley at six hundred par overall is a two shot
lead over John Romroy, McElroy, Xanders Shopley and Patrick Reid,
all three shots back. In Major League Baseball. On Saturday
Night Show, Hey Otani had five RBI as the Los
(01:51:37):
Angeles Dodgers beat the Angels in Anaheim fifteen to two.
Casey Schmid of the Giants two home runs in their
six to four victory over the Athletics. MMA Saturday Night,
Ronda Rousi defeated Gina Carano in just seventeen seconds. Here's
how it sounded on Netflix.
Speaker 12 (01:51:53):
Rounded Crown, Rowdy looking for the arm. He already the arm?
What ain't incredible?
Speaker 13 (01:52:02):
The most devastating Finnish in MMA history, and round of
Rousey just took another arm hostage.
Speaker 11 (01:52:11):
And just like that the MMA equivalent of Mike Tyson
and Michael Spinks back.
Speaker 15 (01:52:17):
In the day.
Speaker 8 (01:52:17):
Apparently back to you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:52:19):
There you go, good reference right there like that.
Speaker 5 (01:52:22):
You know what's funny is with Seam spilling the beans
about SGA being named MVP.
Speaker 4 (01:52:29):
That was supposed to be the.
Speaker 5 (01:52:30):
Prime video grand unveiling before game seven tonight. Can you
imagine if Prime Video was just like, oh, by the way,
the Wizards won the lottery, you know what I mean,
Like that the NBA Draft lottery was on ABC or
ESPN whatever that family of networks, right like that, that
would just not happen.
Speaker 4 (01:52:47):
You wouldn't spill the beas like that.
Speaker 7 (01:52:49):
But okay, I also don't understand the lottery on television.
Why don't you spend more time talking about what's happening?
Speaker 2 (01:52:56):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:52:56):
Absolutely, you went through that, so.
Speaker 7 (01:53:00):
Yes, oh bye good bye. Like the Indiana thing is
a huge story. Indiana traded for for Zoomo the fifth pick.
Speaker 2 (01:53:06):
Of the draft.
Speaker 4 (01:53:07):
It's gone. They don't have it, yeah, right, don't have
a big deal.
Speaker 7 (01:53:10):
Like de Bonza has basically spent an entire life in
Utah and now he's not going to Utah. But he
looks like legitimately sad. Talk about like that, like talk
about like I just they just sped through it and
then like, oh, here you go.
Speaker 4 (01:53:22):
It's watch the game too fast.
Speaker 7 (01:53:24):
Yeah, the NFL Draft is like an entire like this
should be a thing like that, You like, it should
be the NBA should own this, like hour hour and
a half, like just make it drama. I think you
even go one to fifteen or one to fourteen, whatever
it is, and the going backwards in that direction, like
just I think you can make a whole different production. Now,
(01:53:46):
I don't think they know what they're doing.
Speaker 5 (01:53:47):
They should not race through it as fast as they do.
You're completely right about especially this year more than any year.
It's a loaded draft, like historically loaded draft, and they're.
Speaker 7 (01:53:57):
Like, great draft.
Speaker 4 (01:53:58):
Oh, by the way, uh yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:53:59):
That pick goes the Clippers Indiana in the Zubats trade.
I don't even know if they said that. It was
so fast. By the way, there was one thing I saw.
I wanted to get your tastes on this, Jeff and Crack.
So the UFL, right, the United Football League, they've done
something that is probably unprecedented. They have interviewed officials during
(01:54:23):
a game. So this happened in Yeah, this happened in
a game recently where it looked like there should have
been a pass interference call and the Battlehawk's home crowd
was like, where's the flag? And so brock Heward is
interviewing the official, like why didn't you throw a flag
on that play? And he gave his explanation in real
time during the game. Would you want to see the
(01:54:43):
NFL follow suit and do something like that.
Speaker 4 (01:54:46):
I'm all for.
Speaker 5 (01:54:47):
I would love to hear the communication like between the
lead referee on the field and in the booth, and
I think that's awesome. The in game like interviews with
an official. I guess I'm really not clamoring for that,
but I would love to hear more of the behind
the scenes communication.
Speaker 4 (01:55:05):
I think that would be great for the NFL.
Speaker 7 (01:55:07):
So I think it's the ACC and the Big twelve.
Speaker 5 (01:55:11):
That's yes, they do a tremendous job like that.
Speaker 7 (01:55:14):
If they do that, they do the communication between the
replay center, and that's good enough for me.
Speaker 4 (01:55:20):
It's really good.
Speaker 7 (01:55:21):
I think it's too gimmicky to like interview an official.
Speaker 4 (01:55:24):
Drink, Yeah it is. I don't feels more UFL.
Speaker 7 (01:55:27):
You imagine watching like, yeah, like Chiefs Broncos football, and
they're like down the sideline, Lisa Saulters here, talk to
the official. White, didn't they hold the penalty like you like?
Speaker 5 (01:55:36):
And you know how it's gonna go, Jeff right, Like
they interviewed the official in the Chiefs game last week,
but not this week.
Speaker 4 (01:55:43):
And it's give me the replay review talk.
Speaker 7 (01:55:46):
I could do without like the sideline reporter asking the
official white and throw a flag on that play, right right.
Speaker 2 (01:55:50):
I think the NBA does a little of this, or
at least after a review they tell you why they
called it that way. I'm all for NFL doing as
long as doesn't slow to games down. I just don't
want to. Yeah, you know, nothing to stop or to
lay the game. We don't win, don't need anything else
to lay in these games and making them longer and
drawn out.
Speaker 5 (01:56:06):
So totally by the way, last little thing I'll add,
it's amazing these NBA replays. I don't know how many
times it's happened where I'm like, that's clearly a foul.
I don't even know why they're reviewing this, And then
they'll come back and they'll be like, actually, that guy
was getting pushed into the other guy, and I'm like,
I didn't even see that. There's there's so much to
(01:56:27):
look at where I can look at a replay and
not even see something that's pretty obvious.
Speaker 4 (01:56:33):
The officials get no love, man.
Speaker 5 (01:56:34):
It's they screw stuff up, granted, but they get no
love for getting so much more right than you and
I would get we're not even close to that level,
and they get no love for being at least that good.
It's just funny how that works out. We've got Bill Krachenberger,

Rapid fire.
Speaker 4 (01:58:48):
Okay, crack, we start with you. Point is in the
right direction?
Speaker 2 (01:58:51):
What do you like? All right, let's start out with
an interleague baseball game at one o five pm Las
Vegas Time Athletics minus a buck fifty and it is.
I'm trying. I think for the picture here. Yes, it's
got to make sure you're playing listed pictures to all. Also, guys,
springs over Houser over San Fran, Athletics over San Fran.
Speaker 7 (01:59:11):
Okay, I've been against my baseball thing as much as possible,
so yeah, not that you care about my doorstirth, but
good because my team sucks.
Speaker 2 (01:59:19):
I hate watching the play baseball, so I'm.
Speaker 7 (01:59:22):
Going to reiterate the under. I like the under in
the NBA game today. I do like the under tomorrow
in hockey two in game seven, hunder five and a half.
We saw eleven goals last game. I just these game
sevens are absolute grinds. The blocks parlays back Brian for
Game seven, tell you, yeah, it will be back. It's
(01:59:42):
not up yet, but empty net goal is going to
be plus one twenty five. Typically, I think empty net
Coli is certainly playable here as well. In this game.
It sort of protects you a little bit from the
over as well if you have the under. But I'll take.
Speaker 5 (01:59:57):
Those all right. I'm going to go with Scotti Scheffler.
Give me sixty seven or better today. He's the best
golfer in the world. He couldn't make a putt last
night or yesterday to save his life.
Speaker 4 (02:00:09):
You know it went down.
Speaker 5 (02:00:11):
It was sixty eight at Yeah, sixty seven or better
at minus one ten.
Speaker 7 (02:00:17):
But let's three under for today.
Speaker 5 (02:00:18):
Yeah, when you miss six putts within ten feet, Yeah,
I agree. I just don't see him stinking it up
for a second straight day. I think he responds the
greats do, so give me that one. I also kind
of like Asar Thompson under eight and a half points.
He's a hustle guy. He's a slasher, a putback guy.
They're not running offense for him. He can't make shots.
It's coming from the free throw line, and you know
(02:00:40):
hustle plays. So I don't think the volume is there.
I'll go under eight and a half in a game seven.
Let's get the cracks play of the day, Flutter.
Speaker 2 (02:00:49):
This is the best play of the day.
Speaker 4 (02:00:52):
All Right, crack, what is it?
Speaker 2 (02:00:53):
Hey? Shout out to MGM. Here they have these shooters
up Cleveland Brown's regular season wins under six and a
half minus one fifty five browns under
Speaker 4 (02:01:03):
Alright, beautiful, enjoy the day.
