Speaker 2 (00:32):
It is Indiana Fever Wagering season, and I could not
be more happy. We have previewed this for weeks. It
feels like Brian and Yesterday four and oho on fever wagers.
I would consider myself to wager on the fever until
the numbers get to like over double dinisch. I would
say for most games, I mean they're going to They
played poorly yesterday one by thirty five, so I don't
(00:54):
know what else to say about. I mean, they had
like two of their stars with like no points. I
don't I don't know, I don't know what to say.
They put together a super team. I was on this early.
I got to move with a championship I got Clark MVP,
and yesterday was a great day. If you are going
to be in the fever all season, Crack's not gonna
like being on the over thirty six and a half points,
(01:16):
rebounds and assist every day with Kaitlyn Clark like I am,
but I mean until proven otherwise. I mean again, twenty
points like a modest point game, right, I think for her,
I think she's gonna be in the twenty five to
twenty seven range most games. Twenty eight, but ten rebounds
and then ten assists should add fifteen assists. I mean
it's it's one of those things where I think, like
(01:37):
you had to over assist. I think, right Ryan, every
I mean every game. I think if it's under nine
and a half, I think every game over assist is
a wager to make. I just think that that's what
she's gonna be every single game.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Listen for you. Let it, uh, just you know, keep
keep keep doing it. You know I have no problem
with it. Hey, I have evolved. I put, you know,
literally used to bet I don't know, twenty to twenty
five percent overs and mostly unders on everything. So I'm
going I went from eighty percent to probably I'll say,
(02:11):
fifty five fifty eight percent unders, So I've learned to
evolve a little bit. Meanwhile, guys, well I should say
guys as you say, uh, Brian, Jeff doesn't know these kids,
like Jeff doesn't know how it is getting old out
here in the desert. Took a spilly yesterday and no, yeah,
Brian and I have got some ailments out here, you know. Yeah,
(02:35):
a couple of campbells on the cake. This is going
to happen to everybody, but I have to. I'm the
reason why I'm mentioning this is it's it's gambling related.
I'm so embarrassed, but I'm not arrest I wouldn't be
mentioning it. So I had like three bets to get in.
(02:56):
Just pulled in my garage, had three bets to get
in the matter of seven or eight minutes, and it was,
oh my god, pull the garage, get the computer out,
get the I have a laptop bag at the laptop
bag out and trying to get out of the garage.
And there's a carpet in the middle of our garage
(03:16):
right now. Man, my wife who decided to, you know,
spend eight hundred dollars on one of these nice rugs,
and all of a sudden, now, you know, six months later, Oh,
I don't like that, Let's get something else. So of
course we take it, put it in the middle of
It's so big. So now we put it in the
middle of the drive of the driveway, because I want
(03:38):
to give it to somebody. I don't want to. We
never used it. It was literally underneath one of the beds,
never been stepped on, eight hundred bucks, never been walked on,
and literally unrolled it had guys go over, you know,
roll it up out of them. Anyway, it's so big,
and I want to give it away. I don't want to,
you know. And sure enough it's in the middle of
(04:00):
the garage and and I'm in the middle of trying
to give and then I thought about the garbage guys
are coming outside. I wanted to make sure I take
care of them, give them some money. So I'm running
to go get some money for them, get them bottles
of water, and puts three bets in in seven minutes,
right over the rug, right down, down goes Frasier and
uh yeah, banged up my knee really bad, banged up
(04:22):
my elbow really bad, really gashed my elbow and bruise.
Like I actually thought about going to the emergency room
because it's swolled up so much. But all gambling related
stuff going on here. But like I said, Brian and
I are just chugging along out here out in the desert,
and Jeff is at the pool and Margarita's and little
(04:43):
you know, Umbrella drinks and hiring away on the Indiana And.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
It was a look. I had to be outside yesterday
in the humidity coach of my daughter's au softball game,
and that is as stressful as rug decisions. I actually
have a rolled up rug in my garage because my wife,
we have the dog. Obviously the dog has not done
this in a while now, but you know, he used
to think a rug or carpet was a good place
to go number two. And so we would just roll
(05:09):
the rug up cleaning like just take the top off, essentially,
roll it up and put the garage. Put the rug
in the garage and say we'll get a new rug.
And so we just we drop them in dumpsters around
the neighborhood for people to have construction and we just
take the rug in the back of my truck. And
so there's one still sitting in the garage has to
be thrown out. But you just would buy a new rug,
and I'm like, hun, maybe a cheap rug would be
(05:32):
worth it this time. No, no, no, no, no, no
cheap rug. And then you know, one month later, now
he again, he's stopped that. Now he's too like, we're
not doing that anymore, right, buddy, We're not going to
bathroom anymore. He's not doing he just told me. But no,
(05:52):
they you know it's the rug thing. So yes, look,
the Fever. We're talking about. Too much time on that,
I would imagine because there's a game seven today. But
I think that there's a lot of money to be
made on the Fever this year. I think they're really
really good and people might not notice it yet because
they have a lot of new parts. But they played
a poor not poor game, right, Let mean they played
(06:12):
a decent game yesterday. Brian scored ninety.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah, that was like a game in one.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Ninety three points and one by thirty five in the
sky are not very good. I I I was shocked
their winter was nineteen and a half. I didn't get it.
I bet under that's seven more wins in last season
and they lost their leading scorer. I don't. I don't
see it. Nonetheless, so you know, money to be made
on fever. I don't know when the next game is.
They played Liberty next Sunday, I think so we might
(06:41):
able to preview that game here next weekend.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
That's a big game. Well Sabrina Genescu and company. Stewie
in action. It's great to have the w back. I
watched the WNBA like crazy. I love this league.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Look, I just we just got to make our layups, please,
That's all I ask. It's all I asked if they
made if they made like more of the layups they missed,
it'd be a much better watch. Let's all I ask.
Just makes them the layups. That's it.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
There's no excuse for missed layups, man, there's just none,
you know. I texted Jeff yesterday. If you're on and over,
say a team total over or what have you. I
don't know what's more annoying. If it's just steadily missing
free throws or it's missing a layup. I really don't
know what makes me.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Tears two points. It's the worst part.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
It's gotta be that. But when it when it keeps
happening time and time and time again. This girl, he's
she's three for seven and she just clanged another free
throw and it's like, what are we doing right now?
But hey, they got there. That's all I know is
they got there with the team total over. So that
was a beautiful thing. Hey, as you said, Jeff, if
we look forward to Game seven, Nuggets, Okay, see how
(07:52):
much are Jokic and Jamal Murray gonna have to have
to do? It's Batman and Robin. Aaron Gordon is limited,
at least it seems like he's gonna give it a go.
He's got the hammy issue going on. He's got a
strained hamstring kind of allas Steph Curry, right, and you
saw Steph Curry miss like three and a half games
in that t Wolve series. So if Aaron Gordon even goes,
(08:16):
and that's not a certainty, he's gonna be limited. So
this is heavily on Jokic and Jamal Murray. That's the
first question is how much will they have to do
to put the Nuggets in position to win? And it's
gonna be a whole lot. If you look at Jokic
in Game one, they won Game one in okc his
stat line was just absurd. He went for forty two points,
(08:37):
twenty two rebounds, and six assists. I think Jokic is
gonna have to go off to a similar degree for
the Nuggets to be in contention here today.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
I got to look at his points rebounds of the
sist I would imagine it's fifty two, fifty three. I mean,
that's that's typically where it's at right around there, A
high a high night. I mean, he's gonna do everything.
But look, guys, the rest they gave an extra day
rest to this game, obviously not on purpose. They wanted
this to be I think game seven on Sunday, right,
(09:08):
and they thought maybe there would be a game today
last night as well, right of course. I mean it's
fifty two and a half is where it's at right now,
and I think he's got it. If you think Nuggets
are gonna win, you'll have to be over this number, right,
because he's gonna have to do a lot in this
game as much as Okac will. We'll try to double
him and harass him, which they have done the last
couple of games. The teammates around him had made enough
(09:28):
plays to have that assist number go up right to
have the ability to get in the basket and without Gordon. Look,
I think, Brian, the numbers I think are down now
on Gordon. You text me last night about them. It
makes a lot of sense to take his unders. I
actually don't know if under points is the way to
go under rebounds. I think certainly he's just not going
to be a guy that I think, oh it's still
up five and a half. I mean, you got under
(09:48):
six and a half. But he's gonna be in that
quarterman shooting those threes like he'll be he'll he'll be there.
If they can get something from Porter, like two threes
from Porter in this game, they'll have a chance. And
here's the thing about it. I'm not laying eight and
a half or eight with Oklahoma City. You're you're seeing it.
I think that's a terrible wager. They might win and cover.
(10:09):
But I don't know what they've done in this series
to make you believe this game is anything other than
a couple of baskets in either direction. There's no second
score right now for OKC. None. I mean, Jaylen, I
guess maybe today's day. I mean I faded lou Dort.
He beat me by a basket like the last game,
like it was eight and a half points, he'd be
(10:29):
but he had ten. I just they just don't have
a second score. And you have Murray, you have Jokic,
you have the experience, and like it. With four minutes left,
I need a shot. The two best players to get
that shot are probably on Denver right now. Not Sjay's
is good, obviously be his MVP of the year, but
do we trust him right now to get a basket
(10:50):
Brian under four minutes? Do you I trust Murray and
Jokic more?
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yeah, Yeah, It's it's one of those where Sga is
a pure score. But to your point, even though he's
had some decent games, you know, he's scored in the
thirties a couple of times in this series, started off
the first two games thirty three, thirty four points. You
just don't have that feeling of its SGA time in
(11:16):
this series at least right it hasn't felt like that
in crunch time. He's certainly capable, But I understand why
you'd be like, I don't know if this guy's gonna
come through when it matters most.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
I was pulling up the prop sky sorry on the
game today. On pat MGM site on the Oksee Denver game.
So from the start of the series, we talked about
how this, how this had Game seven written all over it.
You have the championship experience of the Nuggets with the
most dominant player in the league against the young, number
(11:48):
one seeded upstart Oklahoma Thunder. And you know, it's been
a great back and forth series so far. I hope
we get to see a good Game seven today. One
key for the Thunder today is Williams Shaalan Williams. He
was three for sixteen in the Game six loss. They'll
need him to be more efficient today to get this
(12:08):
win for the Nuggets. On the other hand, they they're
gonna need help from their role guys, which they got
in Game six. Christian Brown and Porter Junior will have
to hit some of these open frees that they will get.
So I'm excited for this. One. Should be a great
Game seven.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Sorry, I know you run the under in Game six
track I think it was the right call. It was
two seventeen and a half. I think, right now, what
are we've seen two thirteen and a half? I the
second half of that game was way under like it
almost actually at one point it was one oh two
to eighty eight in the fourth quarter in Game six,
and the live number was two fifteen and a half
(12:46):
like it dove down the second half after one hundred
and eighteen points score in the first half. I think
the under today is one thousand percent in play again.
I just think we're going to see an ugly grind.
And I even think, I you know, there's always certain
books that have this, but I think you can pre
bet the second half under right now, Like I think
if you can find if you can find a second
(13:06):
half under right now, that would be I would do
it now. And I just think this this game is
gonna come down. It's gonna be grind at the end.
Aaron Gordon's beat up Porter Junior can't make a shot.
Do we trust Christian Braun in this situation on the road?
I don't know. Jaylen Williams can't score, Lou dort Is
like hit or miss. I mean, it's just Chet Holme grin.
(13:29):
No chance I trust Chet at all in this game,
zero chance. You know, it's hard and Steak gonna make
his little floater shot that he shoots eight times a game,
like it just it screams like the was a game
five ninety two eighty seven. Like that's sort of what
this game feels like.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
It could be. Because some of these games, especially in
the fourth quarter, it's a grind the pace. There is
no pace, you know what I mean. And these teams
are just dog tired, Okay, seeing their depth just wears
down Denver. And you think about that with Aaron Gordon
banged up too, they have no depth. They played six
guys you know against Okay, See, that's a that's a
(14:07):
lot to ask, and that might be a good pet play, Jeff.
And that's the thing like sometimes these games lie to
you where it might be a decent scoring first half
and you're thinking, all right, we're scoring points tonight, and
then the fourth quarter rolls around you're like, we're not
scoring points anymore. Yeah, it could very well be the
way it plays out today.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
I'm surprised. I'm just they have so much I mean literally,
there's one hundred and fifty different ways to bet this game,
and I'm surprised they don't have a second half numbers.
I mean, there's race two's odds and the even points
race to so many points first quarter winning margins. I'm
actually surprised that they don't have the second the second
(14:49):
second half play, which is something that some of the
sportsbooks used to have here, right, So that's you know,
that's interesting bet, and I would I would tend to
agree on everything there and Game seven's typically are are
real tight, real tight games, even like NHL games too,
where the Game seven seemed to play really tight. Last
(15:11):
night's game, it's funny. Tripping on the rug actually hurt
me so much. I was going that was the one
of the bets I was going to put in. Never
put it in, of course, easy winner under Why can't
I sacrifice my body to save money? No, it's got
to be the opposite way always. And don't worry, Jeff,
I was texting you that also, I can show you
my phone.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Oh no, tell well, So what's funny is is I
actually I was texting Brian about the game last night.
The hockey game should not have done under I mean
the amount of chances Dallas had to score. I can
quite pull it up. No, not even like like you know,
they can't consider like scoring chances, right, not just shots
on goal because they missed the goal. Like there was
a time in the first period when the helly buck
(15:53):
was out of the goal and they just missed like
they did from four feet away. There were so many
opportunities to make this game like a high scoring game.
I think they expected goals ended up being over like
six combined for the game. Like, I just it just
didn't happen. But I have the under the night under
five plus one eighteen on bet MGM for Maple Leafs,
and it's gonna be an absolute grind in that game.
(16:14):
There the Leafs blocked thirty four shots in game six.
They blocked twenty four shots in game five. That's gonna
be a game that I think we're gonna see, you know,
an opportunity to get an under their crack.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Wow, Okay, yeah, I mean this is like, God, I'm
so mad. I'm just I'm looking at I'm actually looking
at my screen here. This is exactly when I fell
around three point fifty two. There's the text under and
from my source in the hockey game. So I had
like three bets to put in. It's four pm. This
(16:47):
there was two first fives and the under in the
Stars game, and I just just it was it was
a total collapse. I mean, at least if it went
over I would have felt better.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Yeah, yeah, picture sometimes I hope you're feeling okay though.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Crack, I'm okay, so good spirits, bumps, some bruises and
yeah the arm. They can see like a little a
little down on the arm. Yeah, it's okay. The but
you know, we have this apoxy on the garage just
not pure concrete. So I got the slide a little.
It was kind of just like a little fun just
(17:24):
picture like Uncle Buck John Candy sliding across the floor
right there. He go. Yeah, that's that's kind of what happened.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I'm all right, I'm glad you're okay. Man, all right,
we're off and running. We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper,
not professional you know, ye ice skater surfer in the
not professional ice skater in the In the garage there,
we got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian.

(18:55):
So we gotta dip our toes into the NFL waters.
We're gonna do more than that. We're gonna get to
the knees at least today a lot to react to
the schedule release. We'll get to a little bit later,
how about brock Perty and a monster extension with the
San Francisco forty nine ers. We're talking five years, two
hundred and sixty five million dollars. Of course, you look
at the guaranteed money. One hundred and eighty one million
(19:17):
dollars in guaranteed cash, so we're looking at an average
roughly fifty three million dollars per year. It's a lot
of money. It's a ton of cash. We'll start with you, Jeff.
Do you like this deal? Of course? The Niners don't
regret it now. Do you think they'll regret it later?
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Oh? Man, I guess I don't know what is regret?
Like we didn't win a Super Bowl? Is that what
regret is? I don't know what regret is. Because you
and I taid this one. Tua got paid, All these
guys get paid. It's this or what what are you
gonna do? Either pay? This isn't top of the market, right,
(19:55):
it's not the very best quarterback deal, taking to Shaun
Watson out of it, it's not the best quarterback deal ever,
but it's a very hearty deal. Right, But you don't
have a choice. Are you gonna get rid of brock Party?
And start over again. You're not gonna try gold again.
Now backtrack a second year. Very happy for brock Party
seventh round pick. This is great. Obviously he's very much
(20:16):
earned this, so they good for him. But regret I
if you're asking me, do they win a championship with
brock Party, I would say no. But that's also a
note for twenty seven other quarterbacks too, right, so sure
will they be competitive each each year with brock Party?
I think the answer is yes. Now the Niners, when
(20:37):
you pay a quarterback like this, you have to develop
talent around him. And the draft last year looks promising
for the Niners, but like the previous four drafts, Brian
were not good. They just weren't good. The Niners did
not add enough talent around around brock Party to to
(21:00):
basically build a team and make it look I mean, look, look, okay,
so last year, well we don't know yet, but you
know they have They drafted a safety Brown. They doesn't
even have the first round picks forever, right, Brown who
has played thirty two games. I mean, sure, he's played
every game, but if you name him Jake Moody, ridiculous
(21:20):
pick in the third round. Year before that, Drake Jackson,
Davis Price, Danny Gray, Spencer, Buford Warmant. I mean these
guys aren't playing for them. Year before that, Trey Lance,
Aaron Bates is gone now, Trey Sermon, Aubrey Thomas the
year before that, Kin Law, I you Cole mckivitz. I
mean it's not that's you can't you can't win if
(21:40):
you pay quarterback fifty million dollars and those are five
four drafts in a row at the top right now. No,
Parasol looks fine. Last year, Pooney looks like a good guard.
We don't e Guanaro is a fun rate. We just
don't know. It's only the second year of those guys
drafted in twenty twenty four, so you better hope. Mikyle Williams,
Alfred Collins, Nick mar Ca Upton stout that doesn't even
(22:02):
like a real name. Are guys they're gonna be good
in you know, very early as rookies in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
You know, guys, I don't know. I look at last year.
He went six and nine in his fifteen starts guaranteed
one hundred and eighty one million. No matter what, forty
nineers are really all in like I said, six and nine,
you get one hundred and eighty. It's actually five years,
two fifty six, one hundred eighty one. Guaranteed he'll now
(22:30):
make more money annually than Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and
Jalen Hurts. I mean listen, like you said, yeah, is
he a productive quarterback? Yeah, I just can't put him
on the same level as Mahomes, Jackson and even Herbert Yet.
You know, he's got a great football mind. We all
know that, but physically he just isn't on the level
(22:51):
of these guys I just mentioned, boy mentioned it and
thinking of it like that. Jesus, I just can't believe
how much money is going around of these quarterbacks. But
like you sef, like you said, Jeff, what are you
supposed to do? I guess that's just the going rate
that is, you know.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
But I still but I still think, but you know,
the guys that are sort of paid in that second
tier of quarterbacks, Yeah, party is up there, right of talent,
maybe not physical talent, but just overall success. I mean,
you know the game mispay as much as to a
dak who would you take out of those three guys?
I mean depends on the offense you're running. But party
has been a playoff winning quarterback right now. Last year
(23:33):
was a weird year for them because of injuries. I'll
tell you what the Niners are. They're win total was
ten and a half and it feels awfully high. And
then you look at their schedule and they might win
thirteen games because they'd schedule as a joke. This year.
They get a fourth place schedule because they finished fourth,
plus they get both souths. They get the NFC South
and the AFC South. They might win thirteen games just
(23:53):
because they just haven't scheduled. It sets up for winning
thirteen games are twelve and five and like they lose
to the Rams a couple of times and Seattle beats
them once. I mean, their schedule is super easy this year.
So that's the team I think everyone's gonna be looking
to fade. I would caution you on that because schedule
does matter, as we will find out as we talk
about schedule here, Brian. It just it's just you're you know,
(24:16):
the Giants. I think over five and a half wins
is certainly doable, but you look at their schedule, You're like,
there's no chance they're winning six games. It's one of
those things where it's unfairsometimes depending what division you play,
And in the Niners, their division is not terribly tough
outside of Los Angeles and they play two of the
easiest divisions in football.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah, it's a very favorable schedule because it's not just
for the Niners, like Jeff said, the AFC south top
to bottom, NFC south top to bottom, that's very favorable
right there. It's their last play schedule, those three extra
games Giants, They're at the Giants, at the Browns, and
they host the Bears. Like that's that's as favorable as
it gets for the Niners.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
So when you start their their neck and neck with
the Lions at ten and a half wins, and you're like, what,
they're the same as the Lions. The Lions are way better,
But it's the schedule. The Lions road schedule is a
freaking gauntlet and that's not the case with the Niners.
But that's the thing with Purty, like perty has been productive,
he's been good. I just I've never said Perdy's bad.
(25:19):
I just don't think he's a difference maker. And that's
the now, that's where you're at when you're paying a
quarterback huge money. You paid him nothing and it was
the ultimate luxury on that rookie deal. Now you have
to pay him huge money and he's just good. And
as a Dolphins fan, that sucks. It's not good to
be in that area where you don't have an elite
(25:41):
quarterback to compensate for some of the deficiencies on the roster.
And now that's what's expected, that's what's needed because you're
paying him elite money and it's like, well, all of
a sudden, your ceiling is lower. That's just the way
it works. But listen to Jeff's point, it's a real
risky thing to say, hey, let's just go in the
(26:01):
draft and get another quarterback who's on a rookie deal,
and we can splurge all around the guy, you know,
in terms of the talent around him, where it's not
easy to find a guy as productive as Party in
the draft. It can be done. They can find someone
even better than Perdy. And if there's ever a team
with a system like Kyle Shanahan to do that, it's
(26:22):
the Niners, and they were not willing to do that.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Here's I want to look at him, just real quick
I want to look at Jared's what's it called meta
spread maker grid just to see because I kind of
probably didn't catch how favorable of a schedule they had
until you guys said it. I mean, they're gonna be favorite.
Fifteen games, wow, ten games three or more points.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Wow, it's a really favorable schedule. It's a team that
you look at ten and a half you think yourself,
there's just no way, and it's gonna It's the thing
about Brian. You mentioned the interesting of the idea of
you'll find different another quarterback.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Right.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
The Niners struck goal with the seventh round quarterback obviously,
and if that would be foolish again to go that route, right,
be foolish. But you think to yourself, well, why don't
you spend a second round a third round pick like
the Patriots did with Tom Brady every three years they
brought it a second or third round pick. But two
things about that. One is they didn't have a lot
of draft picks for a couple of years because the
Trey Lance trade that they made, and by the way,
(27:24):
brock Pertty completely covers up the stink of that trade
for Trey Lance, right. But also again, like are you
spending a fourth round pick on a quarterback when you
have a lot of other holes on your team, Like
that's the problem.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Well, but the thing is quarterback is going to be
a hole, right because the thing is with Purty, you're
paying a good quarterback elite money. And so I'm glad
you mentioned the Patriots where you think about Jimmy G
was a second round pick and Jimmy G had playing time.
He had four games, well, I think he played three
of the first form Remember you got banged up when
(27:58):
Brady was serving that suspension he was, Yeah, but you
had it wasn't like the Niners this offseason. It's like
pay party or draft a new guy and cross your
fingers hope the new guy works out. The Patriots had
more information where if they were going to go in
a direction like that. You want to have a quarterback
(28:19):
that's in your system that you have a lot more
familiarity with. You see him in practice every day. You
have a better sense of, hey, could this guy take
the reins instead of we're kind of flying blind and
hopefully it works out. You know, I think that makes
a lot more sense is to have a quarterback if needed,
like break Glass in case of emergency, because paying this
(28:41):
type of money is a huge commitment because it restricts
what you can do with the rest.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Of the roster.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
It is, and I can go about to over one
point of like, is what what choice do you have?
Speaker 1 (28:57):
That's it? It's down to that choice.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
Yeah, the choice, that's it.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
It's one of these though that I keep looking to
the Chiefs. The Chiefs had a guy in Alex Smith
who could win games like. He was a competent starting quarterback.
You could do better, but you could also do worse.
And the Chiefs said, you know what, let's try to
do way better. And they struck gold with Mahomes. And
it blows my mind that more teams don't try to
(29:24):
do that. They're just like, we got someone who's competent
and he's productive, and oh my gosh, what if we
draft a guy and he sucks, And they're just like,
pay the guy who's good, huge money. Let's do that.
Team after team after team does that time and time again,
and the Niners are the latest team to do that.
We'll see how it works out. But listen, we have
(29:44):
no problem throwing gobs of cash at this guy because
he always produces. It never makes us look bad. It
is the one and only Isaac Loewenkron. What's going on?
Speaker 5 (29:52):
I low, well, thank you, Brian, but I got to
say that this week no one produced more. And I'm
glad you gave a shout out to him moments ago.

in our sports media, time and space. One of the
other unique things is overtime in the Stanley Cup playoffs,

It was also their third straight shutout. The Twins have

allowing a run, and oddly enough, that was depicted on

game parlays, teasers, live bets, and so much more. One
thing I wanted to mention to you guys. It's a
really weird trend that's going on in the NBA and
NHL playoffs where all these division winners are crashing and burning.
Have you seen this? So this is what we have
working with us so far. Calves gone, Lakers, SIA, Celtics, Sayonara, Rockets, Peace,
(32:17):
Magic Gone, Golden Knights, Capitals, Winnipeg Jets, all out. All
those are division winners that are gone. And then the
best that we have. We've got the Maple Leafs where
their series is tied three to three, and the OKC
Thunder their series is tied three threes. We have a
Game seven with the two final remaining division winners. Today.
(32:39):
Everybody else is lost. Everybody else is gone.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
I just I feel like in a lot of sports
now it's not just a thing that we've seen in
hockey and basketball, but hockey. Hockey, though, to be fair,
has been this way for a couple of years now,
where like the team that wins is it a President's
Cup the most points in the regular season doesn't like
(33:03):
go far in the postseason. We've seen eight seeds win
the championship, eight seats make make the Championship, make the
Cup round. That's that's not surprising the NBA, though, you know,
with the regular season, with load management and with sort
of roster management, you're just I think you're gonna see
these these young teams like, okay, see with depth, they're
(33:24):
just gonna run through the regular season. The Cavs score
a ton of points. They went through the regular season,
and they get to the postseason and it's just a
different basketball game. And we talk all the time so
often right about experience, experience, experience, experience, and then we
get to the postseason forget maybe the experience matters, and again,
these younger teams in the regular season are just so
(33:46):
far ahead because they have the legs and they have
the stamina and the depth, and they score a ton
of points. I'm gonna I like this tweet. I'm gonna
pull this up to uh here we go. Jason timf
who is Hoops Tonight podcast host. If Denver finds a
way to win tomorrow, we will have zero top five
(34:07):
defenses from the regular season in the final four and
only one top ten defense. But regardless of who wins tomorrow,
all four the final teams will be a top ten
offense so interesting that you know, again, scoring matters defense
less much. But Brian, I think it has to do
a lot with that. A team like Denver vediculating fire
(34:28):
of their coach, had a weird and awkward season, I think.
But it's just it's a different game in the postseason
and some teams are just not built for it.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Yeah, yeah, totally.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
You know, I really need to get into this really
too much here. I'm not a trendsy guy, so professional
sports better has to look at every single game, every
situation on its own. I almost never look at these
type of trends. Were thinking them too much whin betting.
To be honest with you, you guys probably know trends
me and hardly anything to me.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Yeah, I wouldn't look at this from a betting standpoint
where for which, whether it's the NBA Game seven today
or NHL Game seven where you're like, man, I guess
I got a roll with the Panthers because the Maple
Leafs won their division. All these division winners are losing.
I wouldn't look at it like that. It's just more
of like, oh, by the way, check out what's going
(35:16):
on here. We've got five division winners in the NBA,
and four of them in hockey that are already gone.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Like no one's advanced. It's like the conference finals. That's
pretty crazy right there. All right, So we've got Bill Krackenberger,

Let's go to a rare over early in the morning. Here,
Boston Red Sox over over on bet MGM. It's over
nine minus at dollar eighteen over nine runs Boston Red Sox.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Wow, Wow, are you okay?
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Crack?
Speaker 2 (37:17):
I know you right over. I think it's the first
one over you had the whole baseball season.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Yeah, I'm an under guy mostly, but uh figure, I
start us out with early morning over, nothing crazy, just
to throw it in the the parla flatter. You know
I'm not looking to go nuts on any overs in
baseball's for.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
Sure, okay. Uh, Well, I'm gonna go under five in
the hockey games tonight. Team between the leaves and the Panthers.
The Leafs have scored I believe two zero or two
one and two in the last three games. They're not
scoring a lot right now. Their stars are not putting
the ball the puck in the back of the net.
The Panthers obviously got shut out. Look I mentioned this earlier.
(37:57):
The last two games, the Leafs have blocked thirty four
four shots than twenty four twenty six shots. Like they're
just everyone's a dive in front of every puck tonight.
It's gonna be tense and tight, and I like you
under in this at under five a plus money. This
is a plus one eighteen this morning. So then I guess,
I guess what if we're doing to parlay? I could I
could do five and a half? I guess right, I mean,
(38:19):
if it's we're doing that, but I'm just I'll stick
with the I'll stick with the should do five and
a half? Then crack, what do you think? Okay, let's
do five and a half, Brian under five and a half. Well,
we'll pay a little extra here, just we're gonna parlay.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Going okay? The problem with that, uh, the props for
the Nuggets have vanished momentarily, but they will reappear interesting.
Don't worry, They'll be right back here. Yeah, it's gotta
be Listen, the ripple effect with Aaron Gordon is he
gonna play how many minutes? How productive? Right, so there's
a ripple effect with his props. I still like Christian
(38:52):
Brown over six and a half rebounds because you can't
imagine Aaron Gordon is gonna be as effective as he
would be one hundred percent. We don't even know if
he's gonna play. If he plays, he's gonna be limited.
Christian Brown. Even with Aaron Gordon playing Aaron Gordon's normal minutes,
Christian Brown has had some respectable rebounding games in this series,
(39:13):
said double digit rebounds a couple of times. So I
think over six and a half with a limited Aaron
Gordon makes a ton of sense. Brown's gonna get minutes,
and he's had a nose for the ball, right, He's
had a rebounding game, So I think it makes a
lot of sense. Here, give me Brown over six and
a half. And I always want to call him Braun,
but we go Brown somehow, I.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
Don't know you, so, I mean I think you're okay.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
Hell Braun? Right, somehow it's no, No, it's brown. Okay,
all right, cool, we'll roll with that, but that will
reappear right now temporarily it is down.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
It is down.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
Then, I guess I get the braun thing that's my
name sounds like Geoff spells. I guess, you know, I
understand that this might not Luckie.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
I can't believe people's is it pronounced? Who whose name
is ever been pronounced?
Speaker 3 (40:00):
G Off?
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Time I get, I'll get twice on one.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
Wow, Wow?
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Has there ever been a guy who's had his name
pronounced like that?
Speaker 3 (40:11):
No, I don't think.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
That's crazy to make all right? Coming up next. It's
a little deal now, but it has the potential to
be a big deal later. Oh what is going on?
Happy Sunday to you. We'll get to Christian Zippolini a
little bit later in this hour, about twenty minutes from now,
looking forward to that, and also just a couple of
(40:32):

(40:54):
this Bear's quarterback Caleb Williams initially was not fond of
the idea of being Bears quarterback. Caleb Williams did not
want to go there. His dad, Carl Williams, was dead
set against his son going to Chicago. He said, that's
where quarterbacks go to die. And his dad, Carl went
as far as to speak with Archie Manning, who obviously
(41:14):
had a hand in Eli Manning avoiding the then San
Diego Chargers. So Carl's like, tell me more about this
avoiding a team that you don't want to go to.
Here Archie and Carl also he met with lawyers and
agents and even considered his son signing with a UFL
team the United Football League, and then maybe becoming an
(41:35):
unrestricted free agent after that. He's like, can we do that?
Is that a thing? Is that possible? So, Jeff your
reaction to this. Initially Caleb Williams didn't want to be
with the Bears. There are some valid reasons as to
why He's like, yeah, this eber Fluce Shane Waldron Combo
doesn't seem to be like a match made in heaven
offensive gold. You know, Bears not a long extense of history.
(41:57):
No one's thrown for four thousand yards. I don't want
to go there. You think it's a big deal at all.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Well, I he wasn't wrong on year one, right, that's
that thing about he wasn't wrong, which is which is
very interesting here. So the thing that I find most
fascinating about this specific story is why are they releasing
(42:25):
this now? The book is not due till September. No
one's buying the book today, no one's puring the book today.
So why is this out now? I get the story
behind it, and I get and I understand why they
felt skeptical. The Bears have still yet to produce a
four thousand yard passer in the history of their franchise.
(42:49):
They have failed basically every quarterback that They've never had
a quarterback that is of this caliber. So I fully
under stand why the family felt this way. So the
question is why why is it out now? Is this
to to things going poorly with Ben Johnson? A month
(43:11):
in they felt they had to The Bear said hey,
the callboy was like, hey, can you like put this
out there? The Bears still stink. We don't like it here.
I find this part so we know the Bear. The
stuff that his dad said is all true. Also, they
were never not being drafted by the Bear, So that's
all like fluff, right, all this is it's all true.
You felt that way, You're always going to the Bears.
And Ryan Pouls in the story that was released said like, sorry, buddy,
(43:35):
you're coming to the Bears. That's the like you're you're sorry,
you better get over it. So that's what I find
so interesting.
Speaker 3 (43:46):
Is that.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
Why is it out now? What's the purpose of it
being out in the middle of May when the book's
not here till September.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
Yeah, yeah, you know. I almost think this is non
news too. I mean, how many players that get drafted
by a team didn't necessarily want to go to that team,
and it happens in every draft him. I think we
all agree that Williams has the physical ability to be
a star in the league. It's just the mental part
that concerns me a little bit. Being a successful NFL
(44:17):
quarterback needs more than just how far and accurate you
could throw a football. Hopefully Williams has the right people
around him to teach him some other and tangibles that
he's willing to learn. I know a lot of Bears
fans were hoping, you know, they'd bring in a long
time VET to help groom and help groom like Flaco
last year, but that just didn't happen. This year, He's
(44:38):
got case Keenum in the quarterback room, a ten year vets,
So I think that can help Williams. We'll see. But
you know, his dad did play for Oklahoma State. I
believe it was. I read so his dad was. You know,
his dad's pretty instrumental in his career. And you know,
we'll see what happens here. Listen for people that don't
know this, the Bears are the biggest risk. Well maybe
(44:59):
not now, but over the last three thirty years, three decades,
the Bears are the biggest risks to Las Vegas sports books.
The people just love betting the Bears to win the
Super Bowl. They love to win the Bears to win
the you know, the division, the Championship Conference. I mean,
it's a big thing here. So the sports books know
that they actually set the Bears a little bit lower
(45:22):
here than some national change sports books. A lot of
the time. That's been the history over the years people
love to bet the Bears, maybe because we have a
lot of people that have moved and transplanted from Chicago
to hear warmer weather, maybe retirement, whatever it may be.
But then we have the big fan base that comes
from Chicago that loves visiting Vegas. So it's one of
(45:44):
the biggest bet teams for futures. Yeah, but again, like
one of you guys said, no, no, they never never
had a four thousand yard quarterback. Jeff said, I mean,
I just don't see them going nowhere again. I just
see it being literally a cash register for the sports
books once again.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
They they the sports books will win money. I want
to follow up on something you said, Crack. It's actually
it's actually very interesting. So you mentioned they brought in
case Keenum as a veteran backup, and in the seth Wickersham,
you know what he released from the book, he mentioned
that Caleb Williams, I believe, told his dad that no
one watched film with him on the Bears coaches and
(46:29):
it's it's so what I financially about it, it's not
really the coach's job to watch film with you as
a player, like they certainly can. And I think quarterbacks
do watch film with coaches often, but a lot of
that is is learned from a mentor and from a
veteran and not them not having case Keenum last season
(46:52):
with a huge mistake. It's a huge mistake. Look at
look again, like look at this, look at that. Over
the years of quarterbacks talking about learning from a pier,
I know I learned from a peer. Jordan Gross or
give him a shout out, because he was He's like
all my mentor. Like I had to learn how to
watch film, I had to learn how to practice, how
(47:16):
to lift weights, how to recover, how to get through it.
And he was I was on practice squad how to
get through a season. I got a funny story. So
I remember when, uh, before a week, we used to
play cards in the locker room before games, and I
actually was twenty nineteen, I was, I was dressing. Uh
that year. It was not my practice squad. My second
year I was, and I wasn't gonna play, but I was.
(47:38):
I was. I was dressed, and I remember like talking
to the guys before I'm like, man, I'm so glad,
I'm plaqued. I love game days that they're like the best.
It's you oh blah blah blah. Jordan's like, are they
the best because they're pretty stressful, buddy, blah lah. And
I was like, they're not. They're not stressful, Like what
are you talking. It's like it's it's game day again.
I didn't play the NFL yet. This is my second season,
practice squad, first year, and college is so much different
(47:59):
than the NFL. I'm like, dude, like this is like
what do you mean? It's like the best thing ever.
We lost like forty one to nine, like we got it,
we got a but it was actually the Eagles in
two thousand. They came out of this new defense. Jim
Johnson did that that took over the NFL. We just
knew how to block it. They took their defensive ends
and put them inside linebacker. We got our They ran
(48:19):
through like Trent Cole like just smoked a loon. Many times.
We didn't know how to stop it. And after the game,
I was like, you know, the second half of the game,
we're in two minutes the entire time, so Jordan and
all the tackles are pass protecting fifty times in that game.
And after the game, I remember going to Jordan. I
was like I see your point. Look, I see like
I see what it's like. But like but you know,
(48:40):
but like again, like I didn't really have maybe the
right mindset, Like I didn't realize that the game day. Now,
I still very much love game day. That was why
I played. I loved playing on Sundays, and you know,
you do all the other things to get to Sunday.
But just mentally I didn't really understand what playing meant.
And I dressed that game. It's different when you're dressed
and sort of have to be ready to when you're
(49:01):
on practice squad and not dressing so like you need
you need that no matter what round you're drafted in.
And for the Bears to not have that for him
last season, I think goes to show you what his
dad was talking about.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
Yeah, yeah, this is what to your guys point, right,
this is the part where in the story it says
at times Caleb Williams said he would watch film alone
with no instruction or guidance from the coaches. Quote no
one tells me what to watch. End quote. Caleb Williams
just told his dad, I just turn it on. And
to your guys, point, like, if you've got a veteran
(49:38):
on the team. That's not happening, correct. So that's what
I take away, right.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
That's not like the Bears coaches fault per se. It's
the it's not having someone in the room for him
to help him as a quarter, that's as a peer,
to teach him how to watch.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
Yeah, and that's my takeaway is, Hey, I totally understand
how Caleb Williams would say, Hey, I met Kevin O'Connell.
I'd love to play in Minnesota. No, I really don't
want to go to the Bears. Matt Eberflus doesn't strike
me as an offensive wizard.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
You know.
Speaker 1 (50:09):
That makes total sense to me. It's the lengths they
were willing to go. When you start bringing up, hey,
can we sign with a UFL team to avoid the Bears.
That's different than your standard. I have a preference of
where I'd like to land. That's a lot different. I
think this, and you mentioned it, crack. I don't think
it's a big deal right now. I think this season
is all about how productive Caleb Williams is going to be.
(50:31):
If he's productive, this goes away. It's a complete non story.
If he struggles, if he's getting sacked, a bunch the
Bears are losing games, his numbers are iffy or below average. Yeah,
this is going to be brought up and it might
linger for a while, But I think it's all tied
to how productive he's going to be in his second season.
And he's surrounded by a really good supporting cast. They've
(50:52):
upgraded the offensive line. Ben Johnson, we know his credentials,
what he's done with the Lions. So it's go time
for Caleb Williams. If if he struggles, people are gonna
throw this back at him. But if he's productive, No,
people are gonna have amnesia. They're not even gonna remember this.
Speaker 2 (51:07):
No, And you know I said, I think I said
this on this on this airwaves. You know, Caleb Williams
is the first like gen Z quarterback, you know, and
part of being of that generation is like be willing to,
I think, share thoughts that we never shared, Like I
(51:29):
don't think this story would have come out fifteen years ago,
like allowed his dad to tell a reporter that they
don't want to be drafted by a team and have
it come out a year later, Like I just definitely,
I think we have to get used to sort of
that these these players now who grew up on social
media of share, I mean, Twitter became a thing in
twenty eleven. I was in my fourth year, like you
(51:51):
just like you know, like you just didn't grow up
with social media. Facebook became a thing. My I remember
my spring of my freshman year in college, Like you know,
it didn't really take off for a couple of years.
You just didn't grow on social media and share every
thought with everyone at all times. And now these guys
that podcast, they tweet, they instagram, they TikTok, and they're
more willing to just share with the world the way
(52:13):
they feel. And for a lot of people, it's gonna
be different from your star quarterback to sort of have
them share these feelings through his dad obviously, but this
story wouldn't come out till after their career is over.
With guys that played fifteen years ago, he come out,
(52:34):
you know, they do an hour documentary on Netflix, and
it would come out in the thing that hey man,
fifteen years ago, my dad tried to get me to
not be dragged up by the bears, And now it
just it's out like that's these guys and they do
not care, And I kind of like it. Like there's
a freedom of just sort of not caring what the
world thinks about you. But I think part of it
(52:55):
is that if they just group on social media and
you would share your thoughts and just don't care what
anyone says, because who here to social media. I just
think that's the attitude sort of is what these young
quarterbacks are now. We just have to accept that we're
gonna get this inside information way more often than we
used to, and that's just what it is now.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
Hey guys, Yeah, no, it's an interesting point.
Speaker 2 (53:15):
Yeah, correct, why movement?
Speaker 3 (53:17):
What I'm saying? Vegas again this year Bears regular season wins.
Bet Vegas thinks they're going to have a winning season.
According to the Vegas bookmakers, look at bet MGM as
eight and a half as they're over underseason wins and
I even see a nine hunder sixty out there, so
they're there. People come in, Yeah, there you go, there
(53:37):
we go thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening. No, they
they they think that there's going to be potentially a
ten win season here. It looks like. So that's that's
just because people come in and they instead of betting
their Bears every week they'll bet the futures, like I
said before, but this is also a bet, so you'll
have action every week of the year, you know, betting
(54:01):
the Bears over that's you know, the Bears fans and
people that are supporters, just to have action every week
without having action every week, a financial decision every week.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
Jeff and I talked about this story in the week
about having some you know, futures and how I think
some of these bets are the ROI on a season
win or something maybe because of the of course, the
my history of betting futures has been I've really run
very well last year. I think eleven and two on
(54:32):
the text chain that I send you guys. So the
ROI on futures is much it's much greater than weekly
in you know NFL schedules. But however, people have to
tie you have to tie your money up for three, four, five, six, more, seven, seven,
eight months. People aren't the human condition, We're not made
up to tie up money like that. But yet I'll
(54:56):
go back to this. People you put money in a
in a stock market account and tie up your money
in stock market. Well, the ROI that I have had
on season future season wins and futures is you know
ten x what the stock market can give you. That
that's the way I invest my money.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
So I invest in k Man stock. I don't, you know,
like targeters, No, nothing like that. My portfolio is crackstock.
You know, that's what it is. I want to go
back real fast something that Jeff said, because I think
it's interesting you're talking about, you know, like these young
young quarterbacks that just share and live on social media.
(55:34):
Not everybody, but some of them do. And I think
that's the case. But the thing that I find interesting
is there is such a thing as over sharing, right
where you're just a little bit too much of an
open book. And I don't think Caleb Williams did anything wrong,
but it's it's something to keep in mind going forward, because,
like I said, if he gets out of the gate
(55:54):
and is a little shaky and people are gonna throw
this back into his face, they're gonna beer fans that
are like, he didn't even want to be here, you know,
you're gonna have that. So it's something to think down
the road, how could this go down? Because it's not
just you're sharing an interesting tidbit and that's just where
it's gonna live and never gonna grow into something else.
It absolutely has the potential to grow into a lot
(56:15):
more than that. So it's something to keep in mind.
I go back to Brock Purdy. He said something that
caught my attention. He's talking about wanting to get his
contract extension done. This is obviously before it went down
the other day, and his quote was, I'm not the
kind of guy that wants to be wants to have
any kind of drama associated with anything. That's what he said,
(56:36):
which is great. If that's your quarterback, you would love that.
And it's something to keep in mind. Where this little
anecdote of yeah, my dad was thinking maybe we signed
with the UFL team. That's how much we didn't want
to go to the Bears. It's like that, hey, that's
an interesting fact. But dude, that could come right back
(56:57):
on you and the Bears and could be a big,
big deal if you get out of the gates slowly.
Something to keep in mind.
Speaker 2 (57:04):
It's it's very simple like if if he has the
career that the hopes none of this, it will be
like loll remember that time we won. Yeah, it's resident
if he doesn't. This is thrown back in his face.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
That's right, yep, no doubt about that.
Speaker 3 (57:21):
All right.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (58:28):
Yes, we welcome in our good friend, Christian Zippollini, BETMGM
trading manager joining us here today. Good morning Christian. Okay,
So we got a pair of game sevens here today,
NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, anything that the house needs in particular.
Speaker 6 (58:45):
It's pretty awesome, a nice sunday here at two game sevens.
We do definitely have rooting interests from the house side.
From a future's perspective, the Nuggets are now the worst
team that we do have. We did end up taking
a pretty big bet on their futures number I believe
in they're about twenty to one somewhere about that, So
we have pretty solid liability on the Nuggets. From our perspective,
(59:06):
we definitely want the Thunder to win this one. And
then on top of that, the Thunder have been a
great outcome from the books side all season long. From
my features wives just at the fact that they've been
a short favorite for pretty much most of the year,
so people that have gotten money down haven't been able
to get a good number. So we definitely don't want
(59:26):
the Nuggets to win this one. From the NBA side,
and then onto hockey, the maple LEAs ar team that
we have liability on, so that's when we want to
avoid and for whatever reason, even though the Panthers won
last season, we never took a ton of casual public
money on them, so another good outcome for us on
that side. So if we can get a thunder and
(59:47):
Panthers win here, the book will be happy with it.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
Peers, Aaron Goren being out tonight, how much do you
expect or liability we have on Jokis props? It's ticked up,
I think even one more for Yokics, point rebounds and assistance.
It just feels like everyone's going to kinda take the
over tonight on that just knowing that someone has to
score even more now with with Gordon being out.
Speaker 6 (01:00:10):
Yeah, pretty significant injury. I mean, how often in a
NBA game of Game seven, you know, two teams at
that point are pretty evenly rated. We have an eight
and a half point spread here, which is has to
be one of the biggest in a game seven, you
know that I can think of at least and yeah,
Jokic props are getting hit. I was a little bit
stunned to look at a rebound prop which is over
(01:00:32):
under thirteen and a half, which is a big number,
but it's only over is on that you know to
a ton number. But again, as you mentioned, you know
there's gonna be a lot more stats to go around,
and Yoka is the one who tends to eat those up.
Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Hey, Christian, let me ask you because I just there's
been more talk this year than ever than I ever
remember about this NFL schedule. People were so excited and
you know, I do some shows throughout the week and
that was the focus of conversation. Now there are more
betting shows, I understand, But you know, I have to
(01:01:07):
ask you because it doesn't usually the public's not involved
in this. Uh when when when the schedule comes out
and starting betting, I always think I'm alone on an
island and let me be blunts out here in Vegas.
You guys lead the way for the different betting options
for future. So I just went over your the app
(01:01:28):
and you know teams to make the playoff yes and no,
which by the way, thank you for the yes and
no market, because I'm the sportsbooks only put up y
s markets yes and no on on of course over
under each season each team wins. Am I still thinking
I'm still that guy who you know, I've let me
be blunt. I've tied up five figures already on you know,
(01:01:50):
season wins and some over runners on things. I always think,
again I use the word again, I'm I'm a soloist
out there, and maybe there's a dozen people, but I've
done for shows just week everyone talking about it. Has
that have become a significantly more betting market? Have you
seen people tie up their money for six months or
it's kind of the same or are we just crazy
(01:02:12):
NFL guys me, Brian and Jeff and we just love
betting this type of stuff. What's been the what have
you seen?
Speaker 4 (01:02:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:02:21):
I think you said it there as The one that's
always interesting to me is tying up the money. So realistically,
if you are better, you really have to like the
number that you have if you're going to be betting this,
because you're not going to see it for months at
this point, and it's not usually not the best financial
idea to have. Just sitting somewhere where it's not a
collecting interest or anything like that, so you obviously want
(01:02:43):
to make sure that you're right on the number.
Speaker 4 (01:02:45):
So yeah, we will see action.
Speaker 6 (01:02:46):
Obviously, Football is king, NFL is king. That's why we
put these markets out so early ahead of the season
because people do tend to bet on them, and a
lot of times it is, you know, Adam matt one
that I saw when we the schedule came up with
Steelers Jets, Steelers minus three got hit pretty fast by
a bunch of people. So that's probably off the back
of maybe a Kirk Cousins, We're Aaron Rodgers signing with
(01:03:08):
them and knowing that that line would then inflate a
bit higher. So little edges like that will tend to
get bet But you know, if I looked at a
couple of random games that you know, weren't around a
key number, there wasn't two, there wasn't anything crazy action
on it. So really all depends. It's a lot I
think if you really like what you see, gotcha.
Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
I'm curious, Christian if you think about the futures bets
that you guys will have, and we'll talk to you
routinely and you'll say something like, hey, man, if we
could get the Lakers eliminated, that would be great, or
would the Lions? Right, these very application backed teams, right,
what would be the opposite of that? Where it's a
good team, they win a lot of games, they challenge
(01:03:50):
for championships, but for whatever reason, you don't draw as
much action as you do with some of those other squads,
be talking.
Speaker 6 (01:03:58):
From an NFL standpoint or or just just anything, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sometimes it's it's weird, Like the Panthers are probably a
pretty good example. They won the championship last year and
they're still a very good team, but we didn't tend
to see a lot of action for him. And then
a lot of times right after the season ends that
a team that just won tends tends to take a
(01:04:20):
lot of money. Eagles being that example. There are most
bet on team there are biggest liabilities so far from
an NFL standpoint, and that's just based off the fact
that they won last year and looked dominant. But the
Panthers from the same vein, you know, did the same thing.
You know, hockey is obviously not as big, so it
really can sometimes be with how big the team is
(01:04:41):
so like we mentioned the Lakers, Like the Lakers just
have hole from every which direction, every state, and there's
people everywhere that tend to bet them, and they're a
bit polarizing. A team like Florida is not flashy and
exciting the most people. And I guess that's what I
kept better.
Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
Is off.
Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
The PGA Championship is going to wind down today. I
got some some some guys in the course now, Shoffley
and McElroy. Any liability you guys have on Scheffler today,
because I just can't see him losing this. I mean,
he could obviously have a have a terrible round, but
he's up on guys that are not have not been
here before, and I just don't unless John Rahm as
out of his mind today, I mean, I just I
(01:05:19):
don't think anyone else is gonna win. How much liability
there is on Scheffler.
Speaker 6 (01:05:24):
Yeah, we'll lose if he ends up winning. It's just
funny that he ends up being You know, what helps
us a lot is that he was a short favorite
going into the tournament, and then even when he was
five six strokes back, uh, he was still the favorite
to win the event, which is pretty interesting to tell
you a lot about Scotty, but uh yeah, I'm most
bet on golfer by far about looking at it right now,
(01:05:47):
about almost four times the money the next golfer that
we have, which would be Bryce and Schambeau. So he
just takes so much action, so even at that low
price point, end up controlling a little bit of liability
for us. So if he does one, we'll have to
eat it.
Speaker 3 (01:06:02):
So you'll actually lose to the tournament if Scheffler wins.
Speaker 6 (01:06:07):
Yeah, winner, Yeah, he'd be losing, losing option plus.
Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
Is that amazing? It's just amazing that people, and wherever
you are, I mean here in Vegas too, I was like,
how can this Scheffler be this slow? And he's the
greatest golfer out there right now, and you just don't
think you think the books would price it where it
wouldn't hurt them if these guys win. But people don't
realize that, you know, people think sports books always win.
(01:06:31):
You guys have losing days. I mean it just happens, Jeff,
not maybe not losing sports of course, but you'll have
losing days. So Scheffler is the the big But then again,
you know what I always say, God bless us the book.
Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
You got to have a very day to get to
lose this one. I'd say he's minus four hundred now, I.
Speaker 3 (01:06:54):
Mean he's the minus MGM, he's.
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
Three strokes up. I would be shocked if he lost.
Speaker 6 (01:07:00):
Yeah, I mean and again, like I said, when he
was six seven strokes back, he was still the favorite.
So it was still coming in there. And kind of
like he said, we were talking about with the Lakers there,
you know, over the season, Yeah, the sportsbook doesn't tend
to lose, but you know there are days where everybody's
betting the Lakers and there's just nothing the book can
do about it. And this is a tournament where everybody's
betting Scheffler and there's just not much we can do
(01:07:20):
about it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:21):
I thought I had a good bet with you guys.
I sent it to the guys. Vegas was leading the tournament,
Jonathan Vegas, and everywhere he was like twelve to one,
ten to one. You guys had him at twenty five
to one, and I blew seventeen hundred bucks with Petemgma.
(01:07:41):
Even after day two though he's leading, and I'm saying
to myself, well, oh boy, I get to talk about
this on air and then he collapsed yesterday and yeah,
so anyway, fun stuff, thanks for having you on and
questions there, Brian, everything else for our guy.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
No, that's this works over Christian as always, man, awesome job.
Hope you have a great day, and don't kill everybody.
Don't bet the bet don't crush the betting public too
much this week.
Speaker 6 (01:08:09):
Yes, you're not going to try to a lot of
exciting stuff on today, so this is a good one.
Thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
You got it, Christian, have a good day.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
There he is Christian Cippolini, bet MGM Trading Manager. Great
stuff as always. Okay, I've got a couple of hard
hitting questions for Jeff and Crack coming up. My guess
is they have hard hitting answers as well. First though,
hard hitting Isaac lohen Kron, He's got the market cornered
in hard hitting content. He's got more for you right now.
What's going on?
Speaker 5 (01:08:36):
I low just trying to follow the example set by
the traditions of game seven's in sports. And we've got
a couple coming up today. First up at three point
thirty Eastern Game seven on the Western Conference semi Finals
from OKC between the Thunder and Denver, but ESPN reported
today Denver forward Aaron Gordon gonna need several weeks to
(01:08:57):
recover from his left hamstring strain, making it physically improbable
for him to play today then tonight at seven thirty
Eastern in the Stanley Cup Playoffs Game seven from Toronto
between the Maple Leafs and the defending Stanley Cup champion
Florida Panthers. In Game six on Saturday night, the Dallas
Stars beat the Winnipeg jetson overtime two to one to
(01:09:19):
take the series four games to two and advance to
the West Finals against Edmonton. Thomas Harley the series winning
goal just one to thirty three into overtime. Golf, after
three rounds of the PGA Championship, Scottie Scheffler has a
three shot lead at eleven under par overall after a
six HUNDERD sixty five. On Saturday Baseball, Saturday Night, the
Minnesota Twins what at Milwaukee seven to nothing for their
(01:09:43):
thirteenth consecutive win and their third straight shutout. They've now
gone to franchise record thirty three consecutive innings without allowing
a run.
Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Guys, back to you.
Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
Thank you, I Lo it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown
presented by Bett MGM. Okay, couple of questions for you guys. Now,
we don't have a ton of time, so you have
to be a little bit concise here, but I want
to hear your thoughts. Jeff, I'm going to start with
you because I've read this a couple of times and
I'm like, really, so this is an exact sentence. Someone
was talking about the forty nine ers upcoming season, and
(01:10:17):
the line is having a full off season of rest
to have energized some of the team's older stars. So
they're talking about not making the playoffs, and so having
a full off season of rest seems to have energized
some of the team's older guys. And I just thought, like,
do you buy this because as a former NFL player,
(01:10:39):
outside of major injuries that occur in playoff games, right, like,
put that to the side. Let's assume that doesn't happen
for a particular team. How big of a difference do
you think it makes for the next season whether a
team makes or misses the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
Well, I think that's just motivation, right, Like, that's what
it is. It's not that you have rest, it's you would, right,
more motivated, right like the Niners players there, the older
players like there, their their career days are gaining number,
they're trying to win a super Bowl. I think that's
what it is. It's not, in my opinion of rest,
it's just motivation. Now, look it playing one last month,
(01:11:15):
it certainly can can help and recovery, I guess. But
if you're hurt, you're playing less, but you're also rehabbing still, Like,
it's not like you just you get an extra I
was always hurt. It's not like I came in the
next season being like, oh I'm more refreshed than someone else.
I was rehabbing for months. Like the body part that
I was rehabbing is not refreshed. It's it's bad. I
(01:11:36):
don't believe, but I do believe that the Niners older players,
Trent Williams never won a Super Bowl. Kid will never
won a Super Bowl, right, you check, never won a
Super Bowl. Like they're gonna be motivated, boast everyone like
they're gonna be motivated to try to win Super Bowl
because they know their their time is limited with this roster,
(01:11:57):
but just their careers. And so that's what I think
it is. It's not that the rest gives them more motivation.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Yeah, it makes a lot that was that like when
you're playing days? Was that part of like do you
think the starting quarterback or the starting running back starting
why these guys that haven't really tasted success after a
year off two and maybe like getting towards the end
(01:12:25):
of their career. Is that something that motivates them? Is
it talked about? Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
I don't know what it's talked about, but like, I
certainly want to win a super Bowl then in my career.
I mean like when you get and that's why we
see players that at the end of their career. Sometimes
I just hop team the team trying to find that
super Bowl ring, right, The super Bowl ring opens up
a whole different life for you. Obviously my brother won
a super Bowl. It's just a different life, man, Like
the opportunity's post career, the things that are available to
(01:12:54):
you when you have a Super Bowl versus not. One time,
an a TV executive tell me that he can never
have me on super Bowl coverage. I've never played the
Super Bowl for wow. Yeah, So he told me, he's like,
can't put you on the air. You never you never
put a super Bowl. So I mean, I guess i'd
(01:13:15):
sort of get it. I can still talk football, though
I don't know why that that guess. So, but that's
the way. That's the way this job goes though. I mean,
you you have doors opened for you winning the Super
Bowl in the media that you don't have otherwise. And
so you know that that's just this life. Uh And
(01:13:36):
and so I see that firsthand with with my brother
and with other teammates that that I've had over the
years of won super Bowls, that elsewhere, I mean, just
such an important thing in your life that I think
guys certainly chase at the end of their careers. Early
in your career, you chasing games and money, right and
and that type of thing, right, And I think the
later you get in your career, chasing rings.
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
All right, So my question for you, crack all right,
we're talking season win totals, and I'm looking at the
start of these schedules for some teams, and some of
them have really difficult paths, some have really favorable paths.
And so I thought of you where my takeaway is,
you don't have to bet a season win total before
Week one. You can bet it during the season. So
(01:14:17):
do you ever do that? Where right like, you're gonna
wait a little bit. Let's say you, for whatever reason,
you like the over for the Ravens season win total,
and you look and you're like, man, they've got a
really difficult start to the season. Will you instead of
betting them over before week one occurs? Will you wait
three four games and look to get a better number
(01:14:39):
on your over bet or vice versa. You're on the under,
but a team has a real favorable start to the
season that might rattle off a couple of wins and
then you hit the under. Do you look to go
in season for some of these season wins?
Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
First off, there's only a few sportsbooks that even offer
something like this, and by the way, M is one
of them, because literally we have two sports books in
town that's it that offer this. So bet MGM, of
course adjust every single week after the week's up, just
to give you an idea. It's amazing that you're talking
(01:15:12):
about this because just yesterday I seen that Colorado won
I think it was fourteen whatever. The cold scores doesn't matter,
but Colorado Rockies won a game yesterday. I said to myself,
you know, it's maybe a good a good time to
go under Colorado Rocky season wins right now? Yeah, forty
(01:15:33):
one and a half actually still yeah, yeah, wow, forty
one and a half season wins. I think it's even
akay to go under forty and a half. But yeah,
forty one and a half season wins. After a win,
I just looked at it and said, you know, maybe
I'll wait one more games, but I'll tell you I'm
teeter tottering on going under Colorado Rocky season.
Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Their schedule in June is like Cubs, Giants, Dodgers. When
was the other day and I'm one on my podcast
it is a murderer's row of teams in June. Yeah,
it's so it's Mets, Giants, Braves, Nats. You get a
little break there, Arizona and then the Dodgers that's June.
Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Like they're gonna win five games in June. They've won seven?
Is it their eighth win?
Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
Last night?
Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
It was an eighth last night for them and they
did win fourteen to twelve.
Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
Yeah, yep.
Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
No, that's there's value in season plays like that, no
doubt about it. Don't have to do it before the season,
just do it during it, all right, We've got Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran, Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. I'm
Brian No. Coming up next, we got the prop betting market.
Prop it Up comes your way, we'll compare notes. It's
Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM. It is Fox

(01:17:15):
let's do this.
Speaker 4 (01:17:17):
Prop it up player plays.
Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
A Yes, the prop betting market, we love it, We
live for it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:25):
Crack.
Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
We start with you with something you like.
Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
Let's go to okay, see, let's go Alexander here over
thirty one and a half points. I know this is
a lot of points. I understand, but I think the
SGA is going to have to put his team on
back in this one. His number two, guy Williams, has
been struggling, so look for SGA to take twenty five
thirty you know shots this game. And we also have
(01:17:52):
Scott Foster as a referend this one. Now, this is
something when my guys sent me because I, you know,
I see like I don't know what names, but he
sent sender about Scott Foster was known to call a
lot of fouls for the League Superstars. So I said, wow,
it's interesting. So I see he's getting I see him
gettingto the free throw line eight to maybe twelve times today.
SGA over thirty one and a half points today.
Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
Okay, I like it. Brian, this is this won't be
an official play of mine, but we need to talk
it very quickly. On the props. Is this a Russell
Westbrook game? Twenty and a half points? Rebounds in the sist?
Is this He's going to have to play a lot
of minutes of this game and for them to be successful,
he's going to have to play well. But again, you're
(01:18:35):
betting on Russell Westbrook, who was a game was the
last game when he was so bad? I think, I
text you, like, this is what Wesbook is losing in
the game. I over twenty and a half. I think
is a has to be played. If you think Denver
is going to be keep this game close, and they're
just not gonna able to do it. If Michael Porter
Junior is not going to score, I'm on his under points.
By the way that the under points are, it is
(01:18:57):
going to be I think, like, it's where is that
right player points I've had every game, it's it's under
ten and a half. He's not gonna he's just look
if he makes three threes and a bucket, you just
say you did your hat to him. The Westbrook one
is I might get him body into the game at
the end of the day.
Speaker 1 (01:19:14):
Yeah, I like that, man, Like I hear it thinking.
Speaker 2 (01:19:16):
Yeah, John Rahm under sixty nine today six nine or
lowers six nine and a half minus one ten on
bet Mgym and John bram To finished second place basically
winner without Shuffler plus four fifty. I'm on both of those.
Speaker 3 (01:19:30):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:19:31):
Yeah, it was the last game Westbrook where the Nuggets
were just scoring left and right, and then at the
end of the first quarter Westbrook was so bad protecting
like he has personally killed all their momentum here. And
I've defended Westbrook a lot, but yeah, I don't know, man,
it could go either way on that one. I think
listen something that you want to keep an eye on.
(01:19:52):
Christian Brown his points, rebounds and assists. It's twenty two
and a half and we love me, We love us
as zigzag spot. This is not it. This is going
with the trend. He was over that just in points
alone last game twenty three points, eleven boards, five assists.
I'll give you a I'm gonna go over rebounds with
chet Holmgren nine and a half. I think that's a
(01:20:14):
solid play. Oh, welcome man. We get to the NFL
season in just a bit. The schedule has been released.
We're looking at a team that's gonna overachieve and a
team that's gonna underachieve. We will compare notes momentarily. Hey,
you can stream this show in all of our Fox
Sports Radio shows live twenty four to seven in the
new and improved iHeartRadio app. Just search Fox Sports Radio
(01:20:37):
in the app to stream us live. And one of
the newest features in the app is that you can
select Fox Sports Radio as one of your presets, just
like the presets on a radio dial. So be sure
to preset Fox Sports Radio in the iHeartRadio app and
it'll always pop up at the top of your screen. Okay,
the schedule has been released. We're looking at who starts
(01:20:59):
off with a a really favorable path, who starts off
with an unfavorable path, all that stuff. You start looking
at the season outlook for every team and crack God
bless him. He'll throw some great topic ideas at me
on a Saturday night, and this one stood out in particularly. Okay,
so we'll go around the horn, all right, which NFL
team do you think will overachieve this season? And why
(01:21:21):
we'll get to the underachieved teams in a bit, but
overachieving Jeff, you got anybody circled on your list here?
Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
Yeah, Carolina Panthers. I think they're gonna overachieve this year.
I really like their roster, what they've done in two
years with Dan Morgan as their GM. If you just
think Bryce Young is what he was at the end
of last season, or just a little bit better as
he gets better with the additions on defense, auditions in
the draft. I think this team in a division it's
(01:21:49):
not very good, and this team will overachieve. I think
it'll be over their win total. I think by a
week fifteen will think oh, they could maybe win the South.
Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Wow, six and a half, six and a half wins
over under. I'm gonna look for the Minnesota. I think
you guys know. I even bet some futures on them. Minnesota.
Their season wins is eight and a half over one
fifty five over on bet MGM. Like I said, I
(01:22:19):
bet this team to win a division. I bet this
team plus four seventy five. You can still get plus
four and a quarter. I see a couple of places
maybe a little value there. They have an unproven starting
quarterback of course, McCarthy, but from everything I've heard, they're
in love or he's showing them and they're going all
in with them. So they made a lot of improvements
around them, and on defense they have one of the
(01:22:40):
best coaching staffs in the attire NFL. So it would
be Minnesota for me.
Speaker 1 (01:22:46):
Okay, I've got a random one for overachieving. I'll go
Arizona Cardinals on you for a couple of reasons. Where
I start off with their path. They played the NFC
South and the AFC South, so that's a great start
right there. Those are favorable divisions to play top to bottom,
and last year the Cardinals had to face the NFC North,
(01:23:06):
arguably the toughest division in football, and they played the
AFC East. AFC East not a gauntlet, but it's better
than either the AFC South or NFC West, either the
NFC or AFC South. Sorry I'm throwing all these I'm
confusing myself over. But the Dolphin, like the Bills Division,
is tougher than say, whoever comes out the Falcons or
(01:23:27):
Panthers Division. So this is a step in the right
direction for the schedule being more favorable for the Arizona Cardinals. Quietly,
they won eight games last season. They drafted nearly all
defensive players, only one exception on the offensive lines. You
look at Jonathan Gannon, defensive minded head coach. That team
plays hard. They play hard for Gannon, so I think
(01:23:48):
they've upgraded the talent certainly. They've had a couple of
free agent acquisitions that are going to help quite a bit.
And I look for them to be a surprise team
in terms of going over their season win total eight
and a half. They have to have a winning record.
I think that's more than doable in their division and
what their schedule looks like. So I'll go with Arizona.
How about an underachieving team. You got something circled there, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
I mean probably has to be the Lions. You talk about.
Their schedule is really tough, and they lost both their coordinators.
So I think that's one team right now. Their win
totals at ten and a half, so they're in the
second tier. Right There's four teams that are about eleven
and a half, depends where you looked. The Lions are
(01:24:34):
in that next tier of ten and a half. I
gotta say, guys, if you're betting over eleven and a
half wins, good luck. I just I couldn't. There's no
margin for error. You have a quarterback missed two weeks,
you have like a just a weird bounce to the
ball in a game, a miss field goal, like it's
just buddy the other one that I think. I mean,
(01:24:58):
I'm just out on the Steelers untill they get air Rogers,
and then even then I might be out on them.
At some point it comes to an end that this
this streak they've had of not having a losing season
and under eight and a half wins, I just don't
buy them right now. And maybe with Rogers I will,
but I probably won't at some point it comes to
an end, and I think it's this season.
Speaker 3 (01:25:19):
Yeah though, Uh, what give me a percentage, Jeff or
even Brian, what what percentage do you think that Rogers
is going to Pittsburgh? Like eighty percent? Sure?
Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
I think pretty high.
Speaker 1 (01:25:32):
Yeah, sounds about right.
Speaker 2 (01:25:34):
Yeah, Yeah, we'll want to go if he wants to play, right.
Speaker 1 (01:25:38):
Well, I'll go seventy three because it's Rogers and it
has to be difficult, you know what I mean. It's
more like seventy three point six or something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
If he wants to play, it's Pittsburgh. If he doesn't
want to play, he won't play in the NFL this season
to play.
Speaker 3 (01:25:51):
It's that simple my team to underachieve. I think you
guys know already, especially now that the schedule came out.
I was ready against the Giants this year, but now
that okay, yeah, yeah, and you know I bet them
under five and a half at bet MGM about six
weeks eight weeks ago. Uh, the team has the potential
to be the worst team in the NFL. They have,
like I said, I'm guessing the toughest strength of schedule.
(01:26:14):
They got a really bad draw, so it'd be interesting
to see what happens here in the quarterback room here
with Russell Winston and then the rookie dart so see
what happens. But under Giants, I'm still bet MGM still
is under five and a half minus. You know, it
sounds so simple. How can you not go six and eleven?
That sounds come on?
Speaker 1 (01:26:33):
But you know, and they think of that schedule, and
that's how the schedules.
Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
The only counter to the Giants just I know the
schedule is what it is. They were one and eight
last year, one score games, that's right, and I know that. Yeah,
and the next year that goes like at the worst,
you're four and four and they're over. They think they
go over over five and a half. So it's one
of the things where you have to just look at, Okay,
do we think the trends right or again, like it's
(01:27:01):
not really, it's not a trend per se. But typically, again,
if you're an injured team one year, you're less injured
the next year. If you can't win one score games
one year, typically the next year. I'm not saying you
go eve, you go positive, you go five and three,
but you go four and four, you just the breaks
sort of even themselves out over the years, and we
just think that they're gonna have some breaks go their
(01:27:23):
way this year, and they might be so bad that
cracked your point. They have a tough schedule, they get
no breaks whatsoever. It's certainly possible. But playing at home
that place is gonna be a war like hearing these
teams from the West Coast coming out there playing cold
meadow Lands with half full stadiums, like it could be
a situation where teams just aren't as motivated to play
the giants. And this we got a few close.
Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
Wins, right yeah, yeah, and they were close a couple
of times last year. Those were close losses to Division Rifles.
I remember one of them was at home against Washington,
Like it could have gone either way really, So yeah,
that's that's a tough schedule. But be interesting with the
we always talk about regression or progression to the mean
(01:28:05):
in this case, and if that averages out, yeah, it's
it's gonna be a different situation for them potentially. I'm
torn here because I've got two teams on my underachieved
list and one of them is on your overachieved list. Crack.
I'm not huge on the Vikings I'm just not. The
reasons why I'm not, I guess this would be the
(01:28:26):
counter argument, right, you're probably gonna be right. They're probably
gonna win thirteen games somehow. I don't know how, just
because you're backing them crack. But the reasons I don't
like the Vikings is it's a tough schedule. You start
with the division is one of the toughest, and then
you also played the NFC East top to bottom and
the AFC North top to bottom. That is a tough road.
(01:28:48):
And then you also have a first year starting quarterback.
So JJ McCarthy does he come out of the gate strongly,
Like we're talking about Sam Darnold, even though he was
brutal at the end of the season, he put up
numbers consider instantly throughout the entire season. And I don't
know that JJ McCarthy is going to give you anywhere
near in his first year starting what Sam Darnold did
(01:29:09):
last year. Because you look at Sam and he's given
you what thirty five touchdown passes, twelve picks over forty
three hundred yards is passer ratings one oh two point five.
Those are really good numbers. What's JJ McCarthy's stat line
going to look at look like at the end of
the season, you know, and if it's not nearly similar,
(01:29:31):
that's that's maybe a significant step back. And then also
one of the things I don't like with the schedule
back to back international games, can you remember that hand.
Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
They're going to well, they're just stay in London. But
that's not actually, I think is not a big deal.
I mean, let's still just stay there for the way.
Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
They will, because that's the only way you can do it.
But still, it's just so uncommon to just be out
that long during your season. It's just be strange to
have that it's normal.
Speaker 2 (01:30:00):
I don't know if one day would be the place,
like if we had if there was like a you
stayed like a week in like Paris, like a week
so Spain, and yeah, it would be like sign me
up for that. Like my off day, I get to
go like roam around Barcelona. I'm in, done, I'm in.
I'll give me give me all the paia please.
Speaker 1 (01:30:19):
They'll they'll talk about the Miami flu, you know, like
you have to play the Miami Heat on a Sunday
and you're in South Beach on Saturday night, and the
teams just get wrecked because they're not focused. They're partying,
you know.
Speaker 2 (01:30:31):
Like, yeah, I went to Barcelona once and uh uh crack,
you'll like this story. There's like a famous market there.
I forget what it's called. I went to the market
and I walked around me. The food is incredible. I
sat down for a meal and my wife was like,
at the beach or I don't work shopping, who knows?
It's by myself. It was awesome and and I I
(01:30:52):
sat down. I said I'll take the paia and the
waiter said it's for two. I said, yeah, don't worry,
I'll take the paia, and so he was very concerned
it was for two people, and I was like, no,
I'll take it, don't worry. And it was oh dude.
So yeah. I would love to stay in some cities
for more than a week. If I play in the NFL. London,
(01:31:14):
I'm I don't know, it's okay. I guess people love
London for some reason. I don't want to be a
London hater, Brian. Have you been London before? It just
it just feels like you're in a big city. I
don't know, I don't people love it. When I tell
people my London take to get very angry at me.
I think it's just fine. Like I I'd rather be
stuck in another country. But no, you're right about it
(01:31:37):
being unusual and unusual typically it's not good in the NFL.
There's a reason why teams do things the same way
each and every year as far as travel and training,
camp and preparation, because that's what NFL teams thrive on
as routine. So it's certainly different to have to do
it the way you're talking about and having to be
(01:31:58):
there in London.
Speaker 1 (01:31:58):
Yeah, and I also think this is a Vikings team.
They were fourteen and three. You know, they've got huge
expectations for themselves this season, and you see this time
and time again, a team with high expectations that stumbles
out of the blocks early or they start to press
and then all of a sudden they're trying to win
three games in one week and it's snowballs. I could
(01:32:19):
see that happening because JJ McCarthy, this is not some hey,
we're gonna easey in. It's like, bro, the treadmill is
on ten right now, and you gotta hop on and
you gotta somehow keep pace, you know, that's not gonna
be easy for him to keep pace with what they
were doing last season as a first year starter. So hey,
(01:32:40):
he could impress, he could, he could prove a lot
of doubters wrong. But I'm just saying that's a lot
that's gonna be required of him, and that's uncommon for
most first year starting quarterbacks. Where ask yourself this with
cam Ward right, number one overall pick, who's gonna be
expected to do more cam Ward number one one overall pick?
(01:33:01):
Or JJ McCarthy taking the reins for a fourteen and
three team with high expectations, Like what are the Titans
expectations this year? They have none. It's like, if we
win a couple of games, that'd be awesome. That's not
what the Vikings expectations are at all.
Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
That's fair. I mean they're expected to do well.
Speaker 1 (01:33:20):
Yeah, they're expected to do very well. So so I'll
probably all of it in the.
Speaker 3 (01:33:25):
Middle of betting a first five here on bet MGM.
We're gonna know about that at the end of the show.
Here was amazing. I remember when I signed it to
the show, I said, listen, I gotta be honest with you.
It's Sunday Mornings it's right in the middle of a
lot of betting. Some information comes in and things come in.
It's just it's part of the deal here, so uh,
And we are a betting show, and however I'm one
(01:33:47):
that shares the information, so we will have that at
the end of the show here in about forty minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:33:53):
Looking forward to that very nice.
Speaker 3 (01:33:55):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
That is Bill Krakenberger, professional sports handicapper, not just by title.
He's hiring away. You know, we've got Jeff Schwartz, former
eight year NFL veteran. I'm Brian No. Use Code countdown
at BETMGM and receive up to fifteen hundred dollars back
in bonus bets if you don't win your first bet.
When you're registered with BETMGM, you'll get instant access to
(01:34:15):
a variety of parlay selection features, live betting options, signature bets,

back in bonus bets if you don't win your first bet.
All right, coming up next. If you had to bet
it today, who are you backing to win it?
Speaker 3 (01:34:33):
All?
Speaker 1 (01:34:33):
It's Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM. It is
Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by BETMGM. Shortly after the show,
our podcast will be going up. If you missed anything
on today's show, be sure to check it out. Just
search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts. Be
sure to also follow rate and review it again. Just
(01:34:53):
search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts, and
you'll see this show posted right after we get off
the air. All right, so we're down to five teams
in the NBA playoffs. If you had to bet it today,
is there a team that you would back more than
the others to eventually win a championship? You've got OKC.
They've got the shortest odds at plus one ten. The
(01:35:15):
Knicks or second in line that the Knicks are at
plus three point fifty, So you have to risk one
hundred bucks to win three fifty? Right, t Wolves at
plus four fifty. The Pacers are seven to one, the
Nuggets are nine to one. Whatever. You had a free
roll today, Jeff, If you're you're like, I got to
(01:35:35):
get in on who's gonna win it all? Are you
making a wager on any of these teams?
Speaker 2 (01:35:40):
I would wager. I mean, if a Thunder get by today,
I wager the fund. I mean the Thunder feel like
the team and you probably want to do it today.
If you think they're gonna win, I think the number
drops strastically if they win todaycause they'll beat Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (01:35:56):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
I mean today is like a coming of age game
for them, right, talk a lot about experience, and I
need to feel what this is in the moment. If
they get it done today against a formidable Denver team,
even without erin Gordon, I think you it would be okay. See,
the teams in the East are the fun story is
Knicks Pacers a nineties matchup, Like how great is that
(01:36:19):
gonna be? But those teams I don't think are beating Okay.
See I I just I don't think they are. They're
not better than OKC.
Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
Okay see plus one ten on bet MGM, you know,
I just can't bet. I can't bet that, even though
it's probably gonna you know it's the favorite. I mean,
Knicks or next at three fifty, I just can't put.
It's just it's just too low for me to bet
at this. Yeah, at this point of the NBA Final
(01:36:51):
and going to the finals, here. I mean, and the
Knicks or the flavor of the day. For sure, everyone
talking about the Knicks after beating Boston. But I'll pass
on all these shooters here. Yeah, you know, usually I
love telling you guys where to bet, what the bet,
but I'm going to pass on that.
Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
I have a question about about that crack. So, like,
I have a Scotty Cheffer ticket at plus three fifty.
I took it be forty yesterday maybe, but then I
also took him again. He was minus one fifteen after
his eagle yesterday, and like, like he's minus four hundred. Now,
I know it's not the best number, but in the
(01:37:30):
moment I thought it was too row like. But even
sometimes if again, like, okase, he's not the best number
you're gonna ever get, But if you missed on the market,
today is the best you're gonna find it, right, It's
not gonna be better tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
Sure you mean today's minus four to one of you
were referring no, no.
Speaker 2 (01:37:47):
No, not Scotty. The idea that like, I didn't get
the best number on Scotty, I could have gotten plus
something else the other day, but I thought I thought
he was gonna win, So I just was like, I
like minus one fifteen still more, It's okay, the risk
is fine. If you think O case is going to
win today, it's not the best number you could have gone, okay, see,
but it's still better than will be tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (01:38:09):
Yes, if you think they're gonna win, absolutely right. I
think it's still understand.
Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
I think it's like still playable. If you missed on
the market. I think they're still going to win now.
Obviously if they lose, you're out. But it's still better
than the money line today, right.
Speaker 3 (01:38:21):
Every bet independent of one another. And to bet into
a futures market, all right, you got it out of
me here. To bet into a futures market with double
digit holds at this point, I just think it's there
for the public. I'm not going to be part of it.
Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
But is what I want is what I wanted to.
I wanted you to explacause I wanted like further because
I think like for someone like me is like, I
don't know, I think it's still fine. I think it's
still playable. That's going to hear from you hit Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:38:48):
And GM and all those sportsbooks know that people are
going to be betting, okay, see, so therefore you're going
to pay a tax where it probably should be plus
one fifty. So yeah, but I'm rooting for you if
you bet it.
Speaker 2 (01:39:02):
No I don't. I'm not doing it today. I already
have Okay, I have I have some bonus bets on
bet MGM. I have a I took one on OKC
and the Knicks and the Pacers. So I'm hope, okay,
see WEDNS today.
Speaker 3 (01:39:16):
And your bonus bets. Absolutely, I'm going to tell you
right now, I'm one to take plus money on bonus bets.
So yes, I'm looking. I have no problem with you're
taking Like people want to get a bonus bet. They say, oh,
I'm gonna bet the Yankees minus two ten. No, no, no,
that's not how you maximize your potential ROI on bonus bets.
(01:39:38):
You should be taking plus money on bonus bets. And
even if you don't know anything about that sport, just
compare it to other sites where you find, let's say
bet MGM, you find a plus three to one and
something that's plus two to one everywhere, that's where you
want to use your bonus bet. So that that's my
really good example of the day there, bet MGM might
(01:39:58):
not like me saying that, but it's just that's how
you should use bonus bets.
Speaker 1 (01:40:03):
So yeah, absolutely, what if someone takes it to the
extreme crack and says, not only do I have plus money,
I've got megaplus money on this twenty seven leg parlay.
What would you say to that?
Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
God? Yeah, you know, I'm not one to bet parlays
at all, as you guys know. But however, if you're
using bonus bets, there could be some potential of betting
three teamers. By the way, that's the best mathematical return
is three teamers. But I know everyone wants the big
potential of those, like you say, twenty seven teamers, but
(01:40:36):
not really twenty seven, but you know eight teamers and
seven teamers and they're betting a little to win a lot.
They're the same guys that go to the craft table
and say, give me a dollar on the twelve or
a dollar on aces. You know you pay thirty to one.
Gotta bet that, but really it's supposed to pay thirty
six to one. So there you have it.
Speaker 1 (01:40:56):
There, you go, right there, crack breaking it down like
nobody else. Love that? All right, let's go with Isaac
lowenkron right here. What would Ilo be in? Dice Crack
seen him at the table.
Speaker 3 (01:41:07):
I just didn't want to tell any about it.
Speaker 1 (01:41:09):
It's like Yo eleven, right, Joe eleven only helps you,
it doesn't really doesn't really hurt you. Right, I would
say I lows YO eleven here. That's a compliment, you know.
Craps Maven over.
Speaker 5 (01:41:23):
Yes, Daddy needs a new pair of headphones.
Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
Just term he knows what the crap table is.
Speaker 5 (01:41:32):
Yeah, that's right, Daddy needs a new headphone adapter as well.
We will adapt to game seven's in the playoffs, starting
at three thirty Eastern, Game seven of the NBA's Western
Conference semi Finals from Oklahoma City between the Thunder and Denver.
ESPN reporting today Denver forward Aaron Gordon is gonna need
several weeks to recover from his left hand string strain,
(01:41:54):
making it physically improbable for him to play today. Then
tonight it's seven thirty East Game seven of Round two
of the Stanley Cup Playoffs from Toronto between the Maple
Leafs and the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers. In
Game six of the second round. On Saturday night, the
Dallas Stars beat the Winnipeg Jets in overtime two to
(01:42:15):
one to win the series four games to two. Thomas
Harley this series winner just one thirty three into ot
so the Stars advanced to the West Finals against Edmonton Golf.
After three rounds of the PGA Championship, Scottie Scheffler as
a three shot lead at eleven under par overall after
a six under sixty five on Saturday. He will tee
(01:42:36):
off the final round at two forty Eastern time this afternoon.
And in Major League Baseball on Saturday night, the Minnesota
Twins one at Milwaukee seven to nothing for their thirteenth
consecutive win and third consecutive shutout. They've got a franchise
record thirty three consecutive innings without allowing a run. Guys,
back to you, Thank you Ilo.
Speaker 1 (01:42:57):
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown presented by bet MGM.
I got to give a shout out to Ilo and
a lot of the Fox Sports Radio family. They got
me this card because of the stroke last week. Really
appreciate it. Very nice. It got me a couple of
gift cards also, a lot of people chipped in. It
was so cool. But I bring this up because if
you guys can see this, Look at Isaac Lowan Kron's
(01:43:19):
perfect penmanship. Look it's like a stamp. It's perfect.
Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
I don't know ly what I expect, though, I've heard
about this car right.
Speaker 5 (01:43:30):
And I'd like to thank our colleague Brie for waiting
twenty minutes while I wrote that out etching it out letter.
Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
By the way, what he wrote is tremendous too. I
got to share this with everybody. Brian, so glad to hear. Yeah,
you're back on the on the air. The final score, Brian,
one stroke nothing ick, what a great that was awesome.
I really appreciate it. You know, I tell us that.
Speaker 3 (01:44:00):
Text me about this stuff. I'm sorry to do this
on air. Brian said, crack it. I'm gonna read the
crack These guys are really nice. Give me a gift card?
You think they could just give me five hundred for
crap table? Oh wow? All right?
Speaker 2 (01:44:14):
I can you if you show up the crap table,
you put the gift card down on the on the
right velvet, we're gonna take it for you.
Speaker 1 (01:44:25):
Is this Kroger gift card good for?
Speaker 3 (01:44:27):
You know?
Speaker 1 (01:44:27):
The craps table?
Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
Did I?
Speaker 1 (01:44:29):
Did I get it for bubble craps as Crack calls them. Yeah,
no doubt. But that was a very awesome gesture by
the Fox Sports family.
Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
Very clear stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:44:38):
So the PGA Championship, Isaac was just mentioned that in
the update Scotti Scheffler. It's funny, right, Scotty Scheffler has
what a three stroke lead right now? Yes, it feels
like way more. Scottie Scheffler reminds me of old school
Wisconsin basketball. You know when they used to play like
those fifty five to fifty two games. Oh wow, right,
(01:45:01):
and they'd have like a three point lead and you're like,
we're only down by three. It's like, dude, you're down
by like twelve with Wisconsin math, you know, That's what
it feels like with Scotty. A three stroke lead feels
like it's insurmountable right now. Don't you guys feel like
that with him?
Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
I think it's also who's around him, Like if someone
was close who had done this before, you'd be like, okay.
But I mean, so he's had a three shortly over
Alex Norin Davis Riley, J T. Boston, and then John
ram Is five back like rom I think makes a
(01:45:36):
run to I told you. I bet rom to basically
finish second place right win or without Scotty Scheffler plus
four fifty, because I don't trust these guys. They they
never been at before. They're playing on the you're playing
on a Sunday with Scotty Scheffler. It's not gonna And
you know, the one thing that Scotty does, I think
is like it's so tiger like. He just takes what's there,
like he's he plays. He plays just sort of not
(01:45:59):
conservative is the wrong way to put it, but just
like around of of what'sever there, I'm taking it. Of course,
if I can drive the green on fourteen, which everyone
can do, I'm gonna make it perfect, but I'm not
gonna make crippling mistakes. And it's so it's so valuable
to watch him play this way. And like so because
other guys, when you're chasing, you have to make a
much you have to go for it today and and
(01:46:21):
those guys are gonna make mistakes. They're not good enough
to go for it. And Scheffer's gonna sit back and
take what's there. And so far the scores today or
about what they've been throughout the tournament, you got some
got a five under. You got it. You got a
plus four today. I mean, just so, I think this
sets up perfectly for Shuffler to win this tournament. I'm
glad I got the numbers I did on him because
I'll go home with the with the victory today.
Speaker 3 (01:46:43):
Yeah, that's a great point where like Greg, I had
my buddies, who I have a couple of buddies who
are very very wealthy, like private plane fly in, and
they really teased me about Charlotte this and they were like,
you got to come with us, come on, get down here,
and and uh yeah, there's a big family there that
(01:47:07):
that I'm friends with. Their the close family, and they're
they're were literally a couple of miles out of Charlotte,
and just to stay at their state is just unbelievable.
I've stayed there before, just unbelievable many times. But they
sent me these videos of what's going on at the
golf course and the you know, they spend seven, like
(01:47:29):
a million dollars on just this tournament alone, the family
and just because they have a big outing there at
the and I'm now I'm like a little bit jealous
because this looks so much better than you know, the
bucket of blood Master's Hotel. I stayed motel, I stayed
in and just to see this. I probably messed up
(01:47:51):
here because I've been down there already one time, about
six seven years ago, and it was unbelievable. What a
great time by the not even thinking, Jeff, how far are.
Speaker 2 (01:48:02):
You going to say? Your friends didn't want to call me?
They didn't want to like, they didn't want to call me.
Speaker 3 (01:48:07):
How far are you from there?
Speaker 2 (01:48:08):
I don't know, twelve minutes, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:48:10):
Oh god, wow, you're kidding me. I never even played
that from from the from Quail Hollow. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:48:16):
I picked my kid up the other day, how about it?
So Friday? So Friday. He wanted to go because he
went to the President's Cup in twenty twenty two with
our old nanny and he got a ball signed by
Max Homer and he was like so excited, and I'm like, dude,
you know, like he it's so dude. It's to thinking
about kids. It's like I could take him to the
NFL game and we could be in the sidelines or
(01:48:38):
go to Oregon. Right we sitting there, They're so generous
to just we sit like in the President's box for
organ games. Just doesn't find that cool at all. Max
Homa signed ball from the ball time, you know what
I mean. So he wanted, so he wanted, he wanted
to go to the and I was like, I don't.
I have no interest in going now, crack, if you
wanted to go, I go with you. But what I
Friday midday, it's it's a nine degrees outside. It's just
(01:49:00):
grossly human. I'm just not going to see.
Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
Do you know where Fort Mill is? That town called
Fort Mill?
Speaker 2 (01:49:05):
Yes, in South Carolina?
Speaker 3 (01:49:06):
All right, Well, basically a friend of mine owns the town.
Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
That's where he coached coach high school baseball in close family.
Speaker 3 (01:49:18):
They spring They they four mill.
Speaker 2 (01:49:21):
THO was like thirty minutes on the golf course.
Speaker 3 (01:49:23):
Yeah, so lo and.
Speaker 2 (01:49:24):
Behold my son went Friday. He missed like two hours
of school. I got to call an hour in come
pick me up. So I'll talking about telve minutes to
pick him up.
Speaker 3 (01:49:33):
Well, next year, I'm because we have some good connections there.
I'm coming there if that's.
Speaker 2 (01:49:37):
Right on a Saturday or something.
Speaker 3 (01:49:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:49:41):
Yeah, I like your point though, Jeff about uh, you
know Scottie Scheffler basically not opening the door for the
golfers behind him. And that's important because we just saw this.
We saw this with Rory at the Masters, and hey,
hats off, he won, but he opened the door right
the next thing you know, he's bogey. He's hitting it
(01:50:01):
into the water, and all of a sudden he's in
a playoff and you're like, what just happened? Yeah, and
Scotty is he's not like that. I like, like we
have this negative connotation with the phrase game manager, like
NFL quarterbacks, and it's like, sometimes there are games where
that's the best thing you can do is you've got
the lead, just manage the game, don't take wild chances,
(01:50:23):
and open the door for your opponent. And that's the
reason why Scotty Scheffler does a brilliant job.
Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
It's the reason I didn't wager on his round score today.
He's I just think he'd be happy with shooting a
seventy one, which is even for today, and just not
making mistakes and letting everyone else around him make those mistakes.
So I think that if you look at it in
that way, that that's a way to look at at
(01:50:49):
this is like if you have him in pocket, great,
If you don't, then maybe bet rom To. I think
rom plays well. If you look at the top of
the leaderboard, he's been there before, he's one Majors before,
he's playing good golf. I would bet on him to finish.
Suck at the best bet I made this week, though,
and I'm scority to make more. Dustin Johnson to miss
the cut, I mean plus thirteen I think for the tournament.
(01:51:12):
I mean, I just wish I would have wagered more
on it.
Speaker 3 (01:51:15):
I mean, they gave him all that money. I mean,
they gave him nine figures. I mean, and you know,
if to play, and I don't know what happened since then,
since he he literally since he went to live. I
just don't know what happened to him. But as far
as Scotty, he's playing on a level right now we
probably haven't seen since Tiger Woods in his prime. By
the way, he was plus five to one pre tournament,
(01:51:37):
which we really haven't seen since Tiger in his prime.
So again, up three strokes today, minus four to one
bet MGM. I probably don't see anyone beating him. But
I don't recommend.
Speaker 2 (01:51:48):
Anyone now betting.
Speaker 3 (01:51:51):
But I mean I don't I don't want anyone to
lay four to one, that's for sure. I know Rory
won his Masters this year, but this is the season
the Scottie. I wouldn't be surprised if you wont another
three or four tournaments the rest of the season.
Speaker 1 (01:52:05):
Okay, we got a minute. Let's just go around real quickly.
And if you look at Game seven, Nuggets taken on
the thunder and we have news ilo, let us know
this is significant hamstring injury for Aaron Gordon. It's gonna
require several weeks for him to heal. So knowing this
the ripple effect of how you expect Game seven to
play out where broad picture is, I just don't know
(01:52:28):
how the Nuggets will have enough energy throughout the entire game.
Where it's a limited rotation as it is now, you
don't have Aaron Gordon. You're gonna have to Yokich and
Murray just go ballistic in pick and roll offense and
hope that the others give you a little bit of
a shot in the arm, whether it's Porter Junior or
Christian Brown or Westbrook.
Speaker 3 (01:52:49):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (01:52:50):
That's that's It's almost like the end of saving Private
Ryan right where they're gathering all the AMMO and we're like, hey,
we got a we got this, we got a couple
of guns. Where that's what the Nuggets feel like today
going up against the thunder and haul that.
Speaker 2 (01:53:03):
Yeah, who's the who's the airplane squadron to fly over
to save the day at the end? Right, don't There
isn't one? Right, I guess, I guess, Hey, it's Russell Westbrook.
It's Russell Westbrook flying in at the end to go
for fifteen seven and seven today. I don't know, geez.
I think the under now, the full game under is
certainly to thirteen and a half. I probably will play that.
(01:53:27):
I look at the second half under. I found it
one oh four and a half. I believe it's what
I sent you guys over They've it's been in one
o seven the last two second halves. I mean, Denver
is gonna have to play a different You lose what's
fifteen points from Gordon? Like, I just who makes that
up in a in a grinding game. They're gonna have
to play defense differently now without Gordon there, And again
(01:53:48):
I don't trust like is again is lou Dort gonna gonna?
Is he coming alive today? Again? I mean, it just
doesn't feel like even okay, see he has the players
to make this then pay. Who's the guy? Is a
chat without Gordon in the game?
Speaker 3 (01:54:05):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
Is it hard and stunt?
Speaker 3 (01:54:06):
Like?
Speaker 2 (01:54:07):
I don't know who even makes them pay?
Speaker 1 (01:54:10):
It should be Jalen Williams, but he's been terrible struggled.
Speaker 3 (01:54:14):
Yeah, guys, this game open seven and a half up
to eight and a half. I bet MGM to twelve
up to two thirteen and a half over minus a
dollar fifteen, lots of favorite and over money, just like
I expect on NBA Game seven with Oklahomas.
Speaker 2 (01:54:32):
Can I wait, we'll get the two fourteen crack you think?
Speaker 3 (01:54:34):
Or not? Yeah, that's too fourteen and a half? Actually
here in Vegas is fifteen here? Actually one? Well, yeah,
it's gonna it's it's.
Speaker 2 (01:54:41):
Only a wait to take the under for a little longer,
you think, or I would?
Speaker 3 (01:54:46):
I would wait, wait a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:54:47):
All right, there we go.
Speaker 1 (01:54:48):
Okay, very nice right there. But it's a solid angle.
It's especially in the fourth quarter. This seems like grinded
out city in this one. So Jokich and Murray are
gonna have to be unbelievable. And I'll tell you this
if and we say this with respect to Jokic, Murray,
the Nuggets, their credentials. If OKC can't close this out
(01:55:09):
Game seven at home, when the Nuggets have just suffered
a significant injury, what are you doing at this point?
I mean really like that is complete fools gold with
the best record in the season, if they don't pull
this out. All right, We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper.

(01:57:00):
start with you.
Speaker 3 (01:57:00):
What do you like? All right, let's go over to
Major League Baseball had some success recently, and of course
I'm going to I mean the first five innings. They
can't beat me on these under Pittsburgh Philly under first
five innings under four and a half minus one ten
on bet MGM. That is a great line. I'll just
(01:57:22):
tell you it's under four and a half minus quarter
minus thirty four and a half minus fifteen on bet MGM.
Pittsburgh Philly under first five.
Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
Innings Paul Skins's can watch. I like Era Dineback's over
five and a half runs against the Rockies. My daily
Rockies fade of their team total opponent team total over hit.
The last two nights they do a dec put are
thrown today though a young kid who's got some action,
but he's on the road. And Arizona loss last night,
(01:57:50):
and I think they'll want to come back today. I
looked at the Cubs on the run line fitting the
White Sox that has been an uneven series. Cubs are
just much better.
Speaker 1 (01:58:02):
Okay, a little bit of a future for me. I
guess I'm looking at the Eastern Conference Finals. I'll take
the Pacers at plus money plus one thirty. Look at
their depth advantage over the Knicks. They just spacked around
the Cavs best record in the East, and they're plus
one thirty. I just don't think the Knicks should be
favored that much in the series minus one fifty five.
(01:58:23):
I think that's too heavy of a price tag. I'm
going to take the Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals
to emerge, and I don't know, maybe they're I don't
know what it is where New York's the it team.
I get it they have a lot of public you know,
favor packing and all that. But the Pacers have a
real depth advantage. And it's not like they're just depth
(01:58:45):
and don't have top end talents. Ziakham is a really
really solid player in thev Halliburton and beyond. But uh,
I think the Pacers are more than live in that series.
All right, let's get to a Cracks play of the day.
Speaker 4 (01:59:01):
This is the best play of the deck.
Speaker 1 (01:59:05):
We'll circle back Jeff. All right, Crack, what is it?
What do you have for us, buddy?
Speaker 3 (01:59:08):
I We'll go back to Jeff. Okay, Saint Louis and
Kansas City first five again over on bet MGM under
four and a half minus thirty. It's a rare thing
here where I'm actually parlaying both of them together based
on the price. Based on the price, I'm also putting
them just at bet MGM those two together under four
and a half minus thirty Kansas City, and both of
(01:59:32):
those players are equal plays, by the way, So you
have two first five inning unders.
Speaker 1 (01:59:37):
Don't hate it at all, Royal's a lot of under games. Yeah,
what were you going to say, Jeff, I was.
Speaker 2 (01:59:41):
Gonna say that Holly Bernald screw somehow. Don't worry.
Speaker 1 (01:59:48):
Yeah, but hey, I'll look for some knicks overs. I'll
tell you that much. With Tibbs and the way he
distributes minutes, I mean, knicks overs are a good way
to look individually game by game because he's not a
big believer in resting when it's a blowout. You know,
all right, everybody enjoy back to back game sevens today.
Speaker 3 (02:00:06):
Have a good day.
