Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Living the dream once again. Here on a fully loaded
NFL Sunday, Week eleven. This is end Zone Radio, when
the Fox Sports Radio Studios is gonna have seven games
kickoff right now. Panthers at the Falcons, Buccaneers at the Bills,
Texans at the Titans, Bears at the Vikings, Packers at
the Giants, Bengals at the Steelers, Chargers at the Jaguars.
(00:29):
Things are getting serious now. You get to mid November,
you get serious around the National Football League. And of
course I have my man VJ sitting here decked out
in his Dolphins gear. One of the great victories in
Miami Dolphin's history. Today not but they found a way
to win.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
I'm not gonna be a hypocrite because I've said it
over and over again. There are no style points in
the NFL. It's very simple. Either you win a game
or you lose a game. It was an ugly game
for both teams, but the Miami Dolphins prevailed in over time.
So how are you celebrating or are you celebrating a
mighty victory for your Miami Dolphins to start this Sunday.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
I don't celebrate regular season victories. Number one, Number two
wasn't a mighty victory. Like you said, there's no style
points in football. It's not just the NFL. There's no
style points in football.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Period.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Ask Oklahoma yesterday, AX, Michigan yesterday, AX USC yesterday. Ask
everybody that walked away with a dub? Would you rather
have lost or would you rather have one? So there's
no style points. So I don't I don't play. I
don't play that silly, stupid game. It's a dub. You
get a dub, you get back on the flight. It's
a long flight back home from Madrid. Great job by
(01:40):
the NFL that I want to give the NFL credit. They
had a symposium there with kids. They had a flag
football event there. They had a class teaching event there,
teaching the game a broad to the kids that want
to play it, they want to love it. And I'm
not all for getting up at five p forty five.
I've been up since five thirty this morning because I'm
not missing my Dolphins right that kickoff is at six.
But you know, you got a bunch of national anthems,
(02:02):
you got a bunch of stuff they wanted to present.
The game didn't start to six point thirty. It was
almost like six fifteen six to twenty Pacific time by
the time the game started, So I'm not always up
for that, but I do love the way the NFL
went and put the game on display for the first
time ever in Spain, in Madrid, a place where you
know where the legends of legends Frank Sinatra they mentioned,
performed there back in eighty seven, you know. And in all,
(02:25):
in all the football stars of Beckham and Messi and
Ronald Though and the like, the people whose.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Feet have touched that pitch a great job.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
But listen, it's a dub Dolphins cover two and a
half point favors that I picked last night over everyone's
forty seven and a half. I took the under on that,
so I'll take all my cash hands on the win
to cover.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
And and you move on, man.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
And now you gotta you know, you gotta week up
with the Saints, and you try to put some ones
together here like every team does things well.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
I mean, you know, one of the things about when
we get to this point of the season is all right,
who's for real here?
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Right now?
Speaker 3 (02:57):
These seven teams we had a lot of teams are
going to sort of prove themselves are they really going
to get into the postseason. One game we're watching right
now is the Steelers at home against the Bengals. And
if you haven't been paying attention, now, the Lamar Jackson
is back.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Here come the Ravens.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
So the Steelers are staggering, the Ravens are rising, and
all of a sudden, there's only a one game difference.
So the Steelers at home against the Bengals absolutely need
to win today.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
They cannot lose this game. The Ravens obviously will be
playing a little bit later on the road against the Browns.
So you got these, you know, in division games in
that AFC North, and it's always a battle.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Every one of these games is a battle. But yeah,
I mean the Steelers, you know, coming off a horrific game, honestly,
and now they got a rebound and win at home
against the Bengos.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
That's one team.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Another team is the Bears, you know, because the Bears
are all of a sudden, everyone, they've won six out
of seven. They're on the road again, a division game
against a Vikings team that has to win to stay
in this hunt in the NFC North. Are the Bears
for real? The Texans on the road against the Titans.
Are the Texans for real? Got this great match? The
(04:16):
Panthers coming off that horrible loss at home against the Saints.
They're on the road against the Falcons. Are the Panthers
for real? Are they a team that could actually get
into the bostseason?
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Who they shut out? Who they shut out previously? Exactly?
Who they shut out previously last time they played and
beat them thirty one to.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Nothing exactly, So I mean, and then you got really
marquee matchups Chargers Jaguars cross country games are always difficult,
but Jim Harri finds a way to get his team
ready for these games. And then this game sort of
the game of the morning is this Buccaneers Bills game.
You know, Bucks coming off of a tough loss and
the Bills you know, just absolutely you know what in
their pants down in Miami and they got dominated by
(04:54):
the Dolphins last week.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
So this is really one of those days.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
And we got several games going on right now where
we got to see something from one of these teams.
If we're actually gonna be buying in by the way
later on coming up, we're gonna have in our next
hour our latest Power five rankings. I know you worked
overtime on that. I'm a little different because I go
in the moment. You know, I can sort of flip.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
I have.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
I have several spots lower when I'm like, let me
see what I see this morning here. But yeah, it's
it's just one of those weeks, meejay, where a lot
of teams really have to step up and prove.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
That they're legit.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
And I'll piggyback off that too. Let's go to the
Niners and the Cardinals. The Niners just got embarrassed. I
my Power five is gonna look drastically different this week
that it did last week. And that's because I'm I'm
going week to week with this. I'm not I'm not
going with my heart. I'm not going on my feelings
I am. I am not being a hypocrite and doing
what I always say people need to do. Put the
tape on. Film does not lie. I don't care what
(05:53):
variable you want to come up with, what excuse you
want to give, what personal narrative, which is popular in
our business nowadays, personal narratives all day long. Put the
damn tape on, and the tape will tell you a
game like that today is super and uber. Indpoint, you
talked about the Bills and the Bucks. I have no
idea what to get out of this game because the
(06:15):
Bucks have been a little banged up. They haven't had
Mike Evans a little bit. But we've been talking about
the Bills. They starts back five weeks ago against the Saints,
where the Saints.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Had that game it should have beat them.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
The Jets played them tough, the Patriots win in there
and beat them. They go down to Miami and get
their asses handed to them. But then they look great
against the Chiefs. Right, they look great at only because
the Chiefs on primetime television for the world to see.
So this game is huge and the Bucks come in
at a six point favorite. Here you talk about Ravens
and Browns. You didn't even mention Chiefs at Bronco.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Well, we'll get to our later today games games period.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Today you talk about teams that we want to find
we want to find out about the Packers and Giants.
Packers at the Giants today have a great defense. Burns
is tied with Garrett without Miles Garrett for the sacks.
That defense has been playing fine.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Man, you know what game We're not going to be
talking about Cowboys at the Raiders on money night because.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
That is a dog game.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
But it means a lot.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Too le franchises that are left behind. It was basically
what they are re courses we have for both of
those franchises. Dallas' defense decks making sixty million. Do you fire,
Pete Carroll? What's going on with Tom Brady in the
front of wards? Are you kidding?
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Steelers get on the board first, right down the field.
The Steelers get on the board with a thoroughly touchdown
against the Bengals here, so that Bengal defense looks bad
and the Steelers took advantage right there. Warren, by the way,
three carries forty three yards on this drive. Hit a
big run that really set up this touchdown pass Aaron
(07:49):
Rodgers a little screen tackling tackles. Look at this knock
into the end so and no one touched him, all right,
So the Bengals they simply don't have any defense.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
By the way, you mentioned the Packers on the Giants.
Guess what Giants have a first and goal on the
Green Bay eight yard line. Jamis Winston, famous is at
quarterback right now, three for forty four yards on this
opening drive, so he's got them in a position to
get an early lead at home against the Giants.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
And that's the one thing.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
You know, one thing we've we've talked a lot, and
you've mentioned the fact that literally half of the teams
in this league have had a backup quarterback start games
this year.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
In the NFL.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
That makes sixteen today, by the way, jamis May sixteen,
so we're at half.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
So but that's the second, right, really, Giants, Wilson, that's
the third quarter. But the thing about it is when
you get that fresh face in there, you know, teams
sort of get behind him. And you know, one thing
I've always said about Jameis Winston, this goes all the
way back to his days at Florida State. Guy has
amazing talent. He always has had amazing talent. And when
(08:52):
we go back to his infamous year at Tampa where
he had thirty three touchdowns and thirty picks. He had
seven pick sixes that year, and I believe after every
single pick six he followed up by a touchdown pass.
I mean, he was just he had over five thousand yards.
It was really one of the all time statistical years.
Ever for an NFL quarterback. But make no mistake about it,
(09:14):
Jameis Winston has talent. He has a men's talent. It's
just been wildly inconsistent and that is why he has
found himself in and out as far as a starting
quarterback position in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
But off to a good start right now.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Texans also on their opening drive and they need this
win desperately. Again, Davis Mills is back in a quarterback
for the Texans. You know, unbelievable last week. So they
come back and now at four and five, trying to
stay alive right now on the road against the one
and eight Titans, but they have a four down at
the Tennessee thirteen yard line there. So yeah, I mean,
(09:50):
I can't wait for this data unfold here VG. We
got just a lot of different games. We get serious now.
I mean we're passed well past now the halfway point.
Now we're coming down the stretch. And you know what
happens is these weeks unraveled week after week as teams
eventually do fall off the map. Then you have those
games where you have teams that have to win versus
(10:12):
teams that are playing for nothing but what they call pride,
you know, yeah, and those are very hard games to predict.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
And I tell you something else at this point of
the season two, it's I wrote the word parody down
in my notes because I haven't.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
I didn't really see parody until last week.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
They're legitimately, in my opinion, four teams that have a
legitimate not a fan, not a fanboy, not to.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Try to go out on a limb when.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
You put the tape on, on both sides of the
ball and on special teams. There are four teams that
can win this team this year, and I think they're
the only four that's gonna win it. No one's coming
as a dark horse. All your dark horse picks are
out of the window. The Coats are not a dark
horse pick anymore. Ladies jump, They're eight and two like
they're legit. There were a dark horse pick in August.
You can't call.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Them that in November going into things. What are you
calling the nine and two?
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (11:03):
But I just.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
Still still I don't know, because it just once again
when I put the you watch the game, I did, Okay,
did that look like should they should?
Speaker 2 (11:12):
That game? It have been that close? Oh it went that.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
I look at that guy in the sideline Mike Vrabel
and I see a win nerd great coach.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Well, look, he's.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Got this team playing up. They are maxing out right,
they are.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
How long can you do that? Though?
Speaker 3 (11:28):
On the a sport of football on the side of
the breath. We've talked about this before. I'll go old
school on you.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
In nineteen eighty one, the forty nine Ers come out
of nowhere, rattle off a thirteen and three regular season
with their third year coach Bill Walls, third year quarterback
Joe Montana. But the Cowboys are looming and they think,
but you know what they had home field advantage. And
when you look at New England right now, if.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
They can hang on to that number one seed, that
is going to be a play if they have to
go on the road in the playoffs. No, I am
not going to Newinga. But if they can hang on
to that number one seed in the AFCAR, I look
at I look what it happened to a out of
nowhere nineteen eighty one to forty nine Ers team out
of nowhere nineteen ninety nine ram team that came out
(12:12):
of nowhere. But what they had was home field advantage
in the postseason and that carried him to the Super Bowls.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
So I get what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
I'm not ready to get on that yet, because once again,
if it looked like that on tape of oh, we
have just had a turnover here in the Bills Buccaneers
day Apple.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Josh Allen, he got over kit as he threw the
ball and it was intercepted or from a recovery. I
don't know what they're going to rule this. Uh, it
was caught in the air. Let's watch this now.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
So he's at his own goal line and then he
that's just flipping before it. What is he doing in
the middle of the field and it's intercepted by Tampa's terrible. Oh, mable,
that is terrible. We do an investigation on that play.
What was that?
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Listen, there's a lot ass in the middle of the
field from your in zone, from your own in ze.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Let's add that.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
There's a lot of pressure on Josh Allen. It's starting
to really build because they were really touted this year.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Oh, this is the year you touted to me, I
have Buffalo winning the Super Bowl. But after what happened
last week, that's why you looked at the line on
this game right and was going up up bills were
what six?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
I got six last night?
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Six against the Buccaneers. After what happens to the Bucks
at home last week?
Speaker 2 (13:33):
You knew? Did you see Buffalo against the Dolphins?
Speaker 3 (13:37):
They didn't just lose, they got run over. And I
looked at that line, I'm like, are you kidding me?
How are they such big favorites against the quality team?
All right, we're just getting started here. We got seven
games going on right now. We have a big, big
week eleven around the National Football League. For the scores,
the stats, the analysis breakdown, We've got it all covered.

Just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube and subscribe. All right,
quick rundown of the scoreboard right now. Panthers with the
early seven nothing lead against the Falcons. But the Falcons
have a first and goal at the Carolina four yard line.
Bucks get an early three to nothing lead after that
inexplicable turnover by Josh Allen, Texans, Titans, no score, Bears,
(15:43):
Vikings nose score mentioned Giants up on the Packers seven
nothing Stealers with a seven to six lead.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Do we get an extra point? Or what happened there?
And yeah, got all right?
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Well, no, the Bengals scored, No, they.
Speaker 6 (15:59):
Went for it, went for so the Steelers got a
flag on the extra point, so they went for two.
They drew up a wildcap wildcat direct snap to the
running back and then ran it up the middle of
that stuff.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
All right, So seven to six Steelers leading the Bengals
and the Chargers Jaguar is a huge matchup coming up
here are underway right now, four minutes to go in
the first quarter. Chargers with the ball. They're down to
the Jacksonville twenty three yard line. But you know, the Jags,
coming off that insane loss of the Texans last week,
you're you know, you're up nineteen and you blow it
(16:32):
in the fourth quarter. I mean, when you blow a
nineteen point lead in the fourth quarter, that's got to
play with your mind. Right now, Jags are at five
and four record wise, they're very much in the playoff chase,
but they can't afford to lose this game at home
to a Charger team, And again when we watch coaches
(16:53):
manufacturer wins. That's the way it's been for the Chargers
this year. Every team's going to have weeks where they
don't play well. By the way, Chargers did get a
field goal there, all right, so the field goal for
the Chargers taking early three nothing lead. But it's those
games when you're not playing well, okay, and you just
find a way to win. And more often than not
(17:15):
that happens because your coach figures it out. How do
we manipulate a day where we're not playing one hundred percent?
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Find a way to win. And Jim Harbaugh does that
as well as any coach in the NFL. I don't
know if Jim Harbaugh does.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
I think he coaches his guys to stay in, stay
in the fight until the end. And we know you've
covered sports. I've covered sports. You've been around a lot
of pro athletes. So if I you know, we know
guys check out, right, we know guys check out.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
We know there are some guys.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Man. You can see body language in games. You can
see guys check out in third quarter? Is fourthqode you
see it? It's not it's not hard to notice.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
And I think what he.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
Does such a great job is is that they don't
I don't think that his teams ever think we're gonna
go in and blow this team.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
We want to win, like and like we said, football
is winning.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Did you win? That's why a lot of people have
a beef with AJ Brown. I don't have as much
beef as everybody else does because I'm I'm a person
that's like, if you're gonna keep paying attention to the clown,
then don't get mad when you show up at the circus. Like,
if you're gonna keep paying attention, keep commenting on the
same stuff, it's low hanging fruit. At this point, we
know what a guy is. This two years ago, Like,
we know who the guy is. But Hardball's just a guy.
I think he just coaches his teams that, hey, let's
(18:25):
just fight.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Scrap. Mike Tomlin's another guy like that, Right, let's just
we're gonna fight.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
We're scrapped, Mike Rabel, the guy that you're loved, Right,
we're gonna have just fight.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Is scrapping. But we're gonna continue to do the.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
Right things fundamentally because we've practiced that way. We've trained
that way, we coach that way, so by the time
it happens in game time and full speed in real time,
you know what to do and how to accomplish it.
But this Chargers team, I tell you this is there's
six and one against the AFC. This will go a
long way, man, if they can get this dubbed today
(18:58):
when we start talking about tiebreakers and things that, oh yeah,
when we're trying to line up seating for the AFC.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Playoffs, Yeah, tie breakers are a little tough at this point.
But you're right. I mean, every one of these games counts.
By the way.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
The Bills just got in the end zone on a
keeper by Josh Allen on third and goals, So the
Bills retake the lead here six to three, waiting on
the extra point. Falcons tied up their game against the
Panthers John Robinson getting into the end zone, so seven
to all in that game.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
But yeah, I mean, this is this same.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
When we talk about coaches or you know, getting your
players on the same page, that's all your that's that's
your job as a coach. That is your job as
a coach. She'll hold a team together. You mentioned the
AJ Brown situation. I was listening to our buddy T. J.
Huschman Zadam defending AJ Brown, and his defense of AJ
(19:49):
Brown was, you know, when it's your livelihood and you're
not producing numbers that they can turn around and use
against you the next time that you are looking at contract.
And I always appreciate this about it is that he
talks it's about money, folks. Don't stop with any of
this other you know, it's the ultimate team sport, blah
blah blah. No, it's about money, and you get paid
(20:09):
on your individual performance. And if you're not getting the
ball as a wide receiver, and that's the problem with
playing wide receiver, you're really at the mercy of the
offense of the quarterback. If he's not throwing you the ball,
you're not going to produce numbers. But at the end
of the day, when his guaranteed money runs out and
they're like, well, you know your production's down, we can't
pay you that anymore. The problem for AJ Brown, in
(20:32):
my opinion, is simply this. And I'm well familiar with
the Philadelphia media. They will bait you. Everyone talks about
Charles Barclay. I had a former partner of mine Philly
Billy Warrendell, who worked in the market. When Charles Barkley says,
when Barkley first.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Came into the NBA, he didn't talk.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
The problem was they had Julius Irving, who is like
only the nicest person ever to play in the NBA,
so he was never gonna have any meat on the bone.
And the Moses Malone was not exactly a communicator, let's
just say that full. So they needed somebody and they
sort of baited this kid, Charles Barkley, and they got
stuff out of him and sort of created the monster.
(21:09):
And I say that in a kind way that he
is today. So with AJ Brown, they just keep hammering.
I'm like, boy, man, they're not throwing you the ball?
Are you upset?
Speaker 2 (21:18):
And he keeps responding to it. I don't think that's
what it is at all.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Well, I do, because that's what I'm hearing out of Philadelphia.
They found that AJ Brown is giving them exactly what
they want to stir the pot.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
But ninety percent of the media does you know, corny
stuff like that, And I don't like to be part
of at and like, why is he doing a public
Like I said before, you know, I've now had enough
spirits in my life of being in press rooms in
the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, and the National
Hockey League, and I tried my hardest and damness to
avoid trying to bait any I want to ask real
(21:51):
thought provoking questions. So I get what you're saying, but
I don't think that's what it is. Well, you are
doing it right, but you know there are.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
I know they're just I've seen it up closer kids
that because they are under pressure by their editors.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Give me a quote, give me some meat, and I
think it's discussing.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
We're just really fast with TJ because I heard it,
and TJ and I we talked at a Laker game.
We we both feel the same exact way. If you
and let me use this analogy. If you were in
this business which we're in, and you get paid to
do what talk right, and say you got put on
the show with two other guys and you couldn't really
get your talking points in and you really couldn't get
(22:27):
your words, and then contract time comes up and they go, well,
you know what, Hartman, we know you're a Hall of Famer,
we know you worked for did you work.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
For the Raiders? You know I have a Heisman vote
as well.
Speaker 7 (22:37):
God damn, you know.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
I gotta start writing stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
Nown We know you worked for the race, but you
know you kind of lost the little sauce man.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Who hold up? Hold up? Hold up. These two guys
aren't letting me talk.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
I'm not getting the chance to show you what I
can do, what I can say, how I can educate,
how I can entertain.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
It's the same damn thing.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
And we pick its you who's who we like by
how we criticize people. Who's just telling you listen, this
is my livelihood. I only got a certain amount of
time to do this. Throw me the damn ball? Keishawn
Johnson wrote a book, who wrote a book on it?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Throw me?
Speaker 2 (23:14):
You bought me? Why'd you train for me? Why'd you
train for me? All right? So understand this though.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
When he came from the Titans, which was a run
oriented team, obviously with Derek Henry at the time, and
he comes to the Egles, what happened. They thrown the
ball back to back fourteen hundred yards. Seasons went off,
went off for ten years, then production was down a
little bit last year.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Nonexistent? Is it by design? It could be play calling.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
It could be a lot of things, but we know
when they wanted to get him the ball like they did.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
What was the game?
Speaker 4 (23:43):
I'm sorry, I forget what game was. When he's like,
you know what, We're just gonna throw the wall to
AJ Brown and he put up these monster nerds. They
couldn't guard him, they couldn't come. She was lost in
these shows. You have a premiere receiver.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Why are you not throwing the ball? Why is he
not in the game? Plays a question I saw. Are
you doing it by purpose? Because it's not like they're
lighting up the scoreboard in Philadelphia, but they are winning.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Games.
Speaker 7 (24:07):
I just want to know why it is. I can
watch a Vikings game with like, I don't know their
third string quarterback in the game, and Justin Jefferson is
still getting targeted and still catching the ball. Uh, the
Eagles have their number one quarterback out there and they
still can't find the way to get to a J.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Brown.
Speaker 7 (24:22):
Yea design at some point, you again, you have to
start looking at the quarterback at some point.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Oh guy, we're not well, you know, I don't think it's.
Speaker 7 (24:30):
The one thing, well that was what it came out yesterday,
is that there's guys in the locker room that are
getting a little exhausted by Jalen Hurts playing this year.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Okay, so there you go.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Well we'll have more on this coming up, but first
let's find out what is trending right now.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
I had the great honor of being on her show
yesterday for three hours. Manci Belaga blew by right, it
was almost we had. We had an amazing show yesterday,
many great features on your show. Fun stuff we did.
Speaker 8 (25:01):
Yeah, yeah, no, we have a lot of fun. Thank
you for filling in and hanging out with me for
three hours. Appreciate it.
Speaker 9 (25:07):
And now here we are get to talk about the
NFL that started in Madrid. So should I give you
this update in Spanish?
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Ooh, very good. We'll do this again for our resident
Dolphin fan here.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
You know, he json right.
Speaker 9 (25:18):
Yeah, the Dolphins looks dolphins, le Contello's commanders.
Speaker 8 (25:22):
And Marie thees.
Speaker 9 (25:23):
He says at ice sixteen to thirteen was the final score.
It wasn't pretty, hey, but Miami wins.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:30):
And Devon Ahen had twenty one carries one hundred and twenty.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Yards, so much sturdy. Team's good happy eight Chan looked good.
Speaker 9 (25:35):
Eight.
Speaker 8 (25:35):
Chan looked good.
Speaker 9 (25:36):
Washington has lost six in a row, so what is
happening now? It looked like the Steelers were going for
it on first.
Speaker 8 (25:43):
On one and four, one and four. Yeah, sorry, guys,
that's been It's fourth and one.
Speaker 9 (25:47):
It was fourth and one for the Steelers, and it
looked like he gave it to them, but Cincinnati challenged it,
and I'm waiting to see if they overturned it because
he did not get it. So if Cincinnati gets the
ball back, they're going to get the ball back in
a nice spot to see if they can do a
little bit of damage. Right now, the Steelers are up
on the Bengals seven to six late in the first quarter.
Jaguars are up on the Chargers at home seven to
(26:07):
three after the first quarter. Giants on the scoreboard first
against the Packers. Devin Singletary with the five yard rushing touchdown,
so they're up seven zero late in the first quarter.
Vikings over the Bears with a field goal three zero
late in the first All of these are late in
the first Texans and Titans are scoreless, but Calvin Ridley
was carted to the locker room.
Speaker 8 (26:25):
Titans wide receiver. No update there yet.
Speaker 9 (26:27):
Bills in the end zone as Josh Allen rushed for
a touchdown, so they're up on the Buccaneers seven three.
Right now, Tampa has the ball around midfield. The Panthers
and the Falcons are tied at seven. Bryce Young connected
with Teteroa McMillan first, but then Jon Robinson had a
rushing touchdown, so.
Speaker 8 (26:41):
That's how we are back to a tie game.
Speaker 9 (26:43):
Other NFL news that came out this morning was that
Jet Special teams player Chris Boyd isn't critical but stable
condition in New York after sustaining a gunshot wound to
the abdomen at a Midtown restaurant early Sunday morning. A
Jet spokesperson has said that the team is aware of
the situation, they have no further comment and no arrests
have been made.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
That is the latest him.
Speaker 9 (27:05):
It seems like there was some at a restaurant too early.
It seems like they got in a you know, a
verbal confrontation and the guy pulled out a gun.
Speaker 8 (27:15):
It's what it seems like. Yeah, I mean, just unnecessary.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Town is That's that's the scary part because that's away
from what is he doing.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
I know, the Jets obviously were dinner. Why he's out
the disc that come.
Speaker 8 (27:32):
On because they played out.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
They played Thursday. Hey, I don't get a chance to
go on dinner.
Speaker 7 (27:39):
What time was this?
Speaker 9 (27:40):
It was two way am, I think when they're saying
that the incident happened. But yeah, especially in New York,
everything stays out late. Like in New York, you're autil
four in the morning.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Nothing happens good at too.
Speaker 8 (27:51):
It's I mean, that's true.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
That's let's get away with that. I hate hearing it
happens after two am. I've had some of the best times.
Speaker 8 (28:02):
In my life as everybody else.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
It's it's like when when my kids are out on
the road. It's not that I'm worried about your drivings,
about everybody else. True, And that's my whole point about
two am. It's not about you, sorry about everyone else.
Speaker 7 (28:17):
Sorry to jump in here, but Jordan Love is headed
in the blue medical tent.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
He is in the blue medical teme. Wow.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
So the Packers trailing the Giants seven nothing defense, Now
their quarterback is in the tent. That is not good news.
And what happened here with the Jaguars and the Chargers.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Quarter rushing touchdown to Jaguars. I was watching that as
MONSI was given.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Her Okay, so the Chargers with the seven to three
lead right now in that game, did the Jaguars get
the ball back?
Speaker 4 (28:44):
No, No, they're about the kickoff right now. They have
eight first downs in the first quarter. The Jaguars, they're
putting together sustainable drives well.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
And again, this is this is what we say week
after week, by the way, we're in the Fox Sports
radio studios about you know, one week to the next
in the NFL, teams that can look so bad one
week can actually bounce back in a big way. One
guy that's off to a good start right now, Bryce
Young tied with the Falcons.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
But he's eight of nine eighty two yards and a
score to start his game. Right now.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
What did you make of this whole Michael Pennock's junior
situation the offensive coordinator. I mean, we got a lot
of dirt happening down there in at Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
By the way, they are tied right now.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
But yeah, you know, and again I was listening to
the guys yesterday with LeVar Arrington going off on Dale Lindsay,
one of his former assistants, you know, drop a f
bombs on and to the point where LeVar just said enough,
I'm not going to listen.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
To you anymore. So I don't know.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
I mean, it is a different breed of athlete now
in twenty twenty five, that was back in the day,
which means you'd have to have a different breed of coaching.
And this is something that if you're Raheem Morris, you
got to get your hands around because right now, now
your future. You've invested in Michael Pennock's junior to be
(30:04):
your franchise quarterback, and you got to do things right
by him.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Oh man, this, this Atlanta situation is just really weird
because they have so much talent there, like they got players. Sure,
Drake is a scratch today, Bijon's probably the best utility
back along with guys like a ch And I'm not
going to dish my man run run scene. Did you
mention Drake and uh yeah, yeah, Drake Lennon. Yeah, Drake
(30:32):
Lennon is playing?
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Is he playing it? I'm sorry, not like that.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
He's got two catches for seventy one years.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
My apologies, I'm sorry. I'm thinking of Marvin Harrison Jr. Yes,
Martin Harrison junior as a scratch today. But you know
it's it's it's it's either going to be the coach
or it's going to be the quarterback. And sadly, I
think Raheem Morris's days.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Are number now.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
If I'm Michael Pennix, I be a little smarter about
how I say things, because when you're asked by the press,
do you get any help or who's helping you out?
And you kind of threw the entire franchise under the bus.
To me, there's an arrogance there when you do when
you do bleep like that as a young guy, you think,
(31:16):
because you know they have no way to turn right,
you're not going to cousins who you want to trade it.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Panis is the guy. He knows, he knows he that's
the thing.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
He knows he's the guy, and he knows eventually he's
gonna get a second deal. People don't move off their
rookie quarterbacks to less than terrible people. He's going to
get a second deal. If he can somehow put together
a couple of ten eleven win seasons, He's going to
get paid at some point. I just I just think
that there needs to be I hate the same, but
I'm gonna use it right now. There needs to be
an adult in the room. And I'm not Shortlanta has
(31:47):
and I like, I love Rahemores. I'm not knocking him
because he kind of has his hands tied because he
got this young quarterback who knows he's the guy.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
And you know it'll be you before it's him. Jordan
Love just ran to the locker room just as a
heads up, all right, So he ran to the alright,
so but.
Speaker 7 (32:07):
Look it's a shoulder.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
It couldn't have been.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
On his shoulder, all right, So uh yeah, I agree
with you on the Atlanta situation. Right It's but I mean,
this is the power of the player these days.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
They just they not always good, though not always good.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Buccaneers by the way, right now, got a second down
there in the red zone on the road against the Bills.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Again the Bills, uh six point favorites, you know.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
I I want to jump ahead to a game where
the line just is absolutely motoring in one direction, and
that is the Chiefs game on the road against the
Broncos latest afternoon. I mean this, everyone is pounding the
Chiefs in this game because the Broncos, uh, you know,
have that new team. Like we said last year with
the Chiefs throughout the air, worst eight and one team,
ten and one team you've ever seen. The Broncos may
(32:53):
be the worst looking eight and two team ever. Uh.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
The Chiefs a favor by four, it's going up. I
caught it to four and a half.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Four and a half. He's going up and a half.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
You think about it, how many teams who are undefeated
at home, which the Broncos are five and zero with
a record of eight and two, are five point dogs
at home against a team that currently is not even
in the playoffs with the Chiefs, and you're like, something
is up with this game. So you know, and you're like, okay,
the one thing we know about the Broncos.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
I got a little heat. I didn't say this, but
somebody gave me a little heat on social media saying, oh,
the Broncos defense is good. I never said the Broncos
defense is bad.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
The problem with the Broncos right now is they have
completely discombobulated bo Nicks the offensive play calling, whatever it is.
He can't seem to throw the ball down the field
with any level of accuracy. When you keep overthrowing receivers
that means you're basically chucking it. You're just chucking it
down there and you're just hoping that your guy is
going to catch the ball. And so they're wildly consistent.
(33:59):
They have the quarterbacks. Is regressing right now. But that
being said, again, we can't be hypocritical here and say,
you know, winning is everything and then say, well except
for the Broncos.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
No. The bottom line is they're eight and two right now,
and pretty or not, they are finding ways to win.
And bow Nicks. I will say this about Bownicks. Go
back to that Giants miracle comeback that they had when
they needed him to make plays. He made plays, right,
He made plays at the end of that game. So
(34:33):
we'll see how that plays.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Staw points no style points in the NFL lose, but
that game more than a half point favors the Chiefs.
On the road, Baker Buccaneers get in the end zone,
Baker Mayfield keeps it.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
He is fired up right now.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
So the Bucks retake the lead on the road against
the Bills nine to seven, penning the extra point.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
We roll on and we're gonna check in with Moose Johnston. Yeah,
Darryl Moose Johnson's gotta be jonas we got moved.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
We got forty nine Ers Cardinals game coming up. We'll
give you a preview with that game. This is end
Zone Radio.
Speaker 10 (35:06):
Sean Tucker in now to try to punch that ball. Shotgun.
Look Mayfield fix the right leg chest. I've to Hans
the ball off and Tucker gooh the pass are run
by Mayfield. He taked the handoff and ran to his
right and he dives into the end zone for a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
That's ninety eight Rock Buccaneers Radio Network. So it's a
back and forth game so far. Buccaneers right now take
the lead ten to seven over the Bills. Once again,
this is end Zone Radio. Coming up, we got a
big matchup between the forty nine Ers and the Cardinals.
And joining us right now one of the two legends
in the NFL, a three time Super Bowl champion, one
(35:42):
of the all time greats, Darryl moose Johnson is joining
us once again. Who's thanks so much for joining us
here as we talk about this forty nine Ers Cardinals game.
And I want to get to the forty nine Ers
immediately because you know, this is a team that got
off to an unexpected fast start with all the injuries
that they have some it seems like they have come
back to earth a little bit. Obviously, these are musk
(36:04):
games at this point, but what's your read right now?
The forty nine ers a legitimate playoff contender.
Speaker 11 (36:11):
I think a legitimate playoff contender, but I don't know
how far they go beyond that. A lot of young
guys been pressing the service quickly, as you mentioned some
of those key leaders, you know, not on the field form.
I think the biggest losses is probably front and warner.
I mean, I know that Nick Bosa is a tremendous
as rusher, but you lose all that leadership and just
his ability to kind of police that middle of the field,
(36:32):
and that's an area that that San Francisco has struggled
to defend a little bit. But Tatumuthune's doing a really
nice job stepping in there. But that's that's the big thing.
On the defensive side of the ball, It's just a
lot of key injuries, especially up front, and when you're
not getting pressure on the quarterback, it's going to make
it hard. But the good news is on the offensive side,
this will be the first time they've got all those
key guys together since the first half of Week one,
(36:53):
So some positive news on the offensive side of the ball.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
Well with Johnson, Vija Brna Husky, your first time speaking
with you, man, I was a big fan of your
work and you're playing days, so great to be speaking
with you. But let's take with the Niners here. I'm
trying to figure this team out last week. They have
a chance to honestly, they have a chance to really
you know, solidify this division. They go down, they come
out here to so f On La, they headed to
the Rams. Then the Rams come up there. You blink,
(37:17):
it's twenty one. Nothing like. They're getting walked up and
down the field. And now you got to go on
the road to play a team like the Cardinals that
I think most people are out on you hearing these
rooms about Colin Murray. They got back up there with
Jacoby Brissett. How big is this a game for the
Niners today?
Speaker 11 (37:34):
It's big, it really is. I don't think anybody's gonna
deny that, just for what the potential for their the
remainder of the season to be for. But getting back
to the Rams game, when you talk to Kyle Shanahan,
Kyle is is very confident that that was missed opportunities.
At the beginning of that game, Like you said, you
blink and it's twenty one to nothing. You know, the
Rams are going down, they're getting touchdowns, and the forty
(37:56):
nine ers are going three and out, turning the football
over and then getting stuffed on four in one of
the eleven yard line. So there was an opportunity for
him there to kind of maintain pace with the Rams,
and that's where everything kind of went sideways on him.
And now you've got to get outside of your game
plan and now you're chasing a little bit. So it
was very difficult. One of the things that Kyle shared
with us when we had our conversation yesterday was when
(38:17):
he watches Arizona on tape, this does not look like
a three and sixteen. You know, it looks like you know,
the you know, the San Francisco forty nine ers. You know,
they're going through some different things. But he says, when
you watch them, you know that discipline on the defense
is still there. They're a little bit more talented in
the defensive line. You can see that it's year three
in the system and the guys are pretty pretty spot
(38:37):
on with their assignments. So Kyle has done his evaluation,
you know, during the course of the prep for this one,
and has done a really good job messaging to his players. Hey,
don't get caught up in what happened last week in
Seattle and the score that you saw there. You know
there are other five losses are by thirteen points total.
You know this this is a good team that has
(38:58):
just struggled to get over the hurdle during the four
of the season.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
All Right, there's one very quick question for you here,
Jonathan Gannon. I like this guy.
Speaker 7 (39:05):
I do.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
I seem I like what I hear from this guy.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
But obviously the situation with Kyler Murray now he's on
the IRS, so he can't be eligible anyway to play
right now. But do you feel like Gannon still has
control of his football team right now?
Speaker 11 (39:19):
I do, I really do. I agree with you. I've
always enjoyed Jonathan Gannon when we've had an opportunity to
visit with him, whether it's a head coach to the
Cardinals or the defensive coordinator of the Eagles. He's always
been very transparent, you know, very real. He doesn't mix words,
he doesn't give you coaches cliches. He's very honest when
we have our discussions. So he's always been a real
(39:40):
joy and a real pleasure to work with us. It's
hard when you come into a situation where the quarterback
has just signed one of those really big contracts and
you're kind of you're kind of tied to him for
a while as you work through that process. And that's
exactly where they find themselves right now. In regards to
Kyler Murray. I think it's going to be interesting to
see how that plays itself out once the season's over with.
(40:01):
But I think there was a big message since right
after that Dallas game, and really when you look at
what Jacoby has done and kind of some of the
comments that you hear from some of the team means
I think the team is comfortable moving forward in this
direction the remainder of the season, and then it's just
an assessment of what happens, you know, moving forward, And
you know, I'm going to be cheering for him. I
(40:22):
really like him. You know you have to, you have
to take a step back right and look at what's
happened to him this year. James Connor. When you lose
James Connor early in the season. You lose so much
more than just the production at the running back position.
You lose a mentality, all right, lose leadership.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
We're up against the top of the clock.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
Thanks so much, Moose Johnson joining us right there as
we get ready for that forty nine or card on
the game coming U Bubble a little bit later on.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
This is end Zone Radio, all right, rolling along here
Week eleven in the National Football League, and we got
some exciting games going on right now. This is end.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
Zone or Radio. I get so excited this time of
the year. You get into the middle of the November,
you see the weather change. You know, we got Thanksgiving
coming up here in a couple of weeks. Houses are
already getting decorated and flitting mine for the holidays coming up.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
So we're there a couple of surprise games.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Early on, we were talking about this Jaguars team coming
off that devastating loss where they blew a nineteen point late.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
I'll look up.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
They're up fourteen to six on the Chargers right now.
So the Jaguars off to a good start at home
in a game they desperately need, more so actually than
the Chargers. Falcons have taken a fourteen to seven lead
over the Panthers.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Michael Pennix Junior.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
All the you know commotion going on this week nine
to ten hundred and thirty one yards. Bijon Robinson already
has sixty eight yards rushing in two touchdowns with four.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
Minutes to go in the first half. Rake London has
seventy seven yards receiving. And then the entertaining game of
the day so far and was the marquee game of
matchup Buccaneers and Bills back and forth living up to it.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
And right now the Buccaneers have taken a seventeen to
fourteen lead in that game.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
I just could not understand why the Bills were such
big favorites in this.
Speaker 4 (42:03):
Game because they just I don't get it, man. And
it's funny. I watched Damian Woody, who I respect. I
think he does a good job at breaking down analyzic ga.
He's always a hell of a player. Literally, say what
I said four years ago that I got balked at
by almost everybody here. And when I said, Buffalo their
window of a super Bowl was closed after the divisional
game where they decided to kick the ball to Tyreek
(42:24):
Hill and then decided to cover Travis Kelsey won on
one in overtime on fourth and goal in the in
the red zone with linebacker like okay, as Travis Kelsey
can't be the linebacker, you decide to cover him with
one when he just has to run out route. And
I think that's what you're starting to see is Buffalo
is starting to feel that type of pressure, like, Okay,
(42:45):
we gotta get this done. The way coaches are getting fired,
the way players are getting moved, the way the guys
are getting in the age. You got bolted here, who's
getting up in ages? Brothers already heard again out for
the year. I believe you know how much longer they
tried Von Miller bringing him up there? How much longer
can you just keep going, Oh, Josh Allen's gonna do it,
Josh Allen's gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
And they can't even get to the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (43:07):
So in the game light today where this defense actually
has been playing really good this year, great at times.
You know, they're the seventeen points already to this Bucks
offense that couldn't really move the ball in the second
half at all against the against the Patriots last week.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
Well, and now the Bills are driving again, So this
looks like one of those games is just gonna go
back and forth. Meanwhile, the Bears just got a rushing
touchdown to take a six to three lead, waiting for
the extra point, which is good. Seven to three Bears
on the road against the Vikings. This is really a
last chance for the Vikings. They need to win this game,
get back to five hundred to stay in the chase
(43:44):
in that NFC North. Where are you right now in
the Bear six and three? They've won six of their
last seven games. You know a lot of people are
jumping on the Caleb Williams bandwagon right now that he's
finally the quarterback. The one thing about Caleb Williams and
the maturity factor from year one to year two, his
sacks are way down.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
He's learned get rid of the ball, don't take losses.
That is the one thing you can't do.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
Get rid of the ball, eat the down and move
on to the next play. He's had an inconsistent day
throwing the ball, just five of eleven passing for fifty
one yards. But do you believe that Ben Johnson now
has turned the corner with this Bears team?
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Are they a legitimate playoff team.
Speaker 4 (44:26):
I mean if they make it to the playoffs, that
you would have to say the legitim playoff team because
they're in the playoffs. But owing to in a division
minus eight point differential at a six and three record,
it just doesn't make sense, right, Like they have a
negative point differential, but at three point a three game
difference between their ones and their losses. And listen, the
only teams that are out out of it at this
moment are the one and two win teams. Like if
you've got two wins, one win, you're out. This division
(44:48):
is still gonna be wide open. You have a big
game with the Lions coming up later on tonight against
the Eagles on the road. You have the Giants right
now handling the Packers. So even a lost today for
Minnesota doesn't a race and wipe their season out, because
if you have other teams in your division still losing,
you still stay within striking distance. We don't know what's
gonna happen with some of these injuries also to around
(45:10):
this division. I don't know what's the word on Jordan
Love going into the ten to coming back out. Remember
they have a five and three to one record, so
they have that like that tie that's gonna either hurt
them or help them towards the end of the year.
As far as the Bears go, I'm I'm not in
or out. I'm still I'm still seeing three and one
at home, three and two in a row.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
But the zero to two in the division is big.
They like they need this one today.
Speaker 4 (45:32):
They haven't won a division game, and the division games
and what's gonna come down when we start talking about
a playoff Sea and were talking about tie breakers by
week eleven, I start looking at ti breakers. I'm not
waiting till the end because these are the games you're
gonna come back to. We're watching the Chargers downs fourteen
to six right now. If they lose this game and
somehow have to go on the road as opposed to
winning their final one, getting the division and having a
(45:53):
home game, you can always go back to Well yeah,
VJ said back in week eleven that that Jags game
or they might have to play this again, right, They
might have to end up going back out here again.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
Depending up what in the coat.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
The Coasts are going to probably have a first round, Bob,
but somebody's gonna be able to play at home in AFC. Right,
he can't just be every team getting a home game.
But pet catch by Keenan Allen. Here this this guy
still getting it done now, the all time leading receiver
in Chargers history. One freaking kiss underrated. You know you're
easily You'll love this one. You'll love because you're the story.
You'll love this one. Art Monk, well.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
Again a guy that this Art Monk was very much like.
Art Monk was very similar to Charlie Joyner with the Chargers.
Both of them at one point were the all time
leader in reception, but they were never really even recognized.
Sometimes that's the best receiver on the team. Gary Clark
with Harry Clark and obviously with Ricky the West Chandler
and John Jefferson with the Chargers. But just guys that
(46:46):
are professionals, quick and you know, get out there every week.
Speaker 6 (46:51):
Yes, bro, hell no, I was gonna say quick up
day you were talking about the Packers earlier. Jordan Love
is back in the game, and they just finished off
a touchdown drive with Emmanuel Wilson, so they have taken
the lead.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
All right, So there it is, all right, thirteen seven
right now, Packers on the road against the giants.
Speaker 7 (47:05):
Josh Allen, just do another interception.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
Yeah, Apple, turnover, bigga. It started. It's started like it's starting,
and you know what, it's crazy.
Speaker 4 (47:11):
The end of last year, in the beginning of this year,
people said what they say, Oh, he's fixed that turnover.
You know when your turnover machine. Sooner or later, it's
just gonna come back. You can work through it some
parts of year. Stay if I fumble it, Ricky Waters, right,
we can. We can turn the guys that just put
the ball on the turf. Yeah, you can hold high
and tight.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
But sooner or later, someone's gonna strip that thing out.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
By the way, if you guys are okay with this,
I want to interrupt just a moment here to tell
a story about Kenny Easily. Kenny Easily just passed away
Pro Football Hall of Fame, one of the greatest safeties
in the history of the game. Unfortunate's NFL career was
cut short because no one warned him on the NFL
that eating twenty five advils a day is gonna do
(47:54):
damage to your body, which it did to his kidney.
Eventually had to have a kidney transplant. But I go
back to my use CLA days. Kenny was at UCLA
when I was at UCLA. We were We knew each
other from college. When he got elected to the Hall
of Fame in twenty seventeen by the Senior Committee, came
on my radio show We Reminisced. Let me tell you
a quick story here, and I told this yesterday with Monsey.
(48:16):
So I'm sports editor of the Daily Bruin. In nineteen
seventy nine, we go up to play Stanford. Kenny is
one of our start players. It's a big game, fir Ust,
we really need a win. We lost a couple of games,
games tied, remember no overtime in those days, and Stanford
kicks a fifty six yard field goal to beat us.
It was one of those hit the upright came down,
hit the crossbar fell over. So after the game, we're
(48:37):
at Stanford Stadium and I had done all my work.
Speaker 2 (48:41):
I'm waiting.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
Players haven't come out yet, but we've got buses ready
to go to the airport. So I'm i get on
an empty bus. The driver's not being on the bus,
just one of the empty buses is going to go
to the airport. So I'm sitting alone on this empty
bus and on walks on Kenny easily. He looks at
me sitting by myself, and he says, you're sitting in
(49:04):
my seat. And then he gets off the bus and
I'm looking like he's looking at me like I'm gonna
kill you.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Get out of my seat.
Speaker 3 (49:13):
So he's that serious, right, So I I wasn't gonna
take any chances. I get out of that empty bus
and get onto a different bus. So now we arrive
in LA We're all walking off the plane and I
feel a hand on my shoulder.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
I turn around. It's easily. He looks at me, goes,
I had you going, didn't I make.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
One of the greatest guys you will ever meet, one
of the most phenomenal players. Ronnie Lave will tell you
because he's played at USC at the same time that
Kenny was at UCLA.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
Kenny was a better player. Scared. I was scared. He
was you.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
I tell you what he gave you. The look I got,
you wouldn't move, You'd be like out. It was unbelieable,
but it was very sad. It's you know, he had
a lot of health problems in recent years, but one
of the all time greats. I was so happy the
pro Football Hall of Fame recognize him. Even though he
had a shortened career, he belonged in the Hall of Fame.
Ronnie Lott'll tell.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
You because he played at USC when easy was a
used he's a better player than I was. It was
a sad.
Speaker 4 (50:11):
It was a sad last week and a half for
football overall. Paul Tagley boo, Yes, the Dallas kid. And
then yeah, it's three because they say it comes in threes.
I really truly you know that. You know that's saying
see that all the time comes in threes.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Man, it was.
Speaker 4 (50:24):
A football football took a hit really quick. Back to
one of these games. Yes, is they're not a more
early fools goal team than the Pittsburgh Steelers in football? Well,
every week, every week they start the game, they go
bam bam, bam bam bam. Ei the field goal touch
down and then the Bengals have no defense.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
They can't move the ball.
Speaker 4 (50:46):
Right now, they just had the punt again to give
it back to the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
I got and they're at home. The Steelers will have
a winning record. It will be nine and eight. I
hate that, but they will have a winning record because
Mike Tomlin knows how to end a season with a winning.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
Record, get the kicked out of them in the wild card.
Speaker 3 (51:02):
They're no better, no worse than they've been in the
last couple of years. If they're the same team, they're
they're very mediocre. Aaron Rodgers at this point of his
career is mediocre. He's middle of the road quarterback. He's
not gonna do anything. He's not gonna do anything great.
They're just trying to grind out wins. They're five and four. Yes,
they lose to day they go to fire. I'm still
in it for them.
Speaker 4 (51:23):
I'm still in it for them to uh to to
finish under five hundred because you know, you could say
that it's tough.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
To argue with you other than the fact it's not
gonna happen because Tomlin doesn't have losing records.
Speaker 4 (51:34):
I need Aaron Rodgers to be the reason why I
need to happen.
Speaker 5 (51:39):
Man.
Speaker 4 (51:39):
I needed to be the year that Aaron Rodgers went
there was the year Mike Tomlin's over five hundred streak ended,
so we could get rid of Aaron Rodgers and just
move on with our NFL lives.
Speaker 2 (51:52):
And this is gonna be his last year. Anyway. I mean,
Pittsburgh is gonna move on. He's gonna want to play somewhere.
Speaker 3 (51:57):
Well, he's gonna want to play. Oh, that would have say,
pick six, Uncle Flacco.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
Where's he doing? Three black jersey? He's doing, man, Just
pick off the ball and you're off to the races.
Did he drop on? This is what coach. Let me
take a look at this replay here, because you never
saw it. Look, he's beating on it. He's right on it.
Oh no, it's started hitting up. He had a chance.
He had a chance. That's why you played defense, is
what coaches said. All right, coming up on the other side,
will continue to update you. Yeah, we're rolling along toward
(52:24):
halftime around these seven games, and then we'll get to
our power five picks. This is end Zone Radio.
Speaker 1 (52:31):
So here they go.
Speaker 12 (52:32):
Warner in the backfield, out here in the barrel with Pennix. Yeah,
you gotta get a taste of the bowling ball right here.
Here's Pedix hast out Gier right side, touchdown Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (52:43):
That's ninety two to nine in the game. Falcons Radio Network,
It is all Falcons right now, twenty one to seven
lead over the Panthers. Panthers trying to get in the
end zone.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
Though, right before the half they have a third and
four at the Atlanta eleven yard line. So twenty one
seven and Michael Pennix Junior unbelievable day eleven to twelve
hundred and sixty three yards. Bjhon Robinson already seventy five
yards on the ground and a couple of scores. Drake
London has over one hundred yards receiving in the first half.
So this is where's this Atlanta team been all season long. Meanwhile,
(53:17):
right now a team that is struggling once again. We're
in the Fox Sports radio studios. The Vikings are struggling
right now. JJ McCarthy just threw an interception. They are
trailing the Bears ten to three right now, final seconds
of the first half.
Speaker 7 (53:31):
There and again, Steve, while you were talking about Jajie
McCarthy throwing an interception, he just threw another interception.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
He just threw another interception. So Vikings right now really
struggling with their offense.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
And I will this is ninth turnover of the season.
Speaker 7 (53:47):
I will also say I would expect JJ McCarthy to
spend some time in the injury tent because he got
hit late and his back of his head hit the
turf pretty hard, so he might spend a little bit
time in the injury tent.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
All right, Well, I mean the bottom line is the
Bears aren't doing a whole lot either in this game.
Vikings have one of the best defenses in the league
and they're showing it week in and week out. Caleb
Williams just six to thirteen for fifty eight yards. But
you know, JJ McCarthy continues to struggle to show any
level of consistency right now, and I guess that's that's
(54:19):
you know, the Vikings have to make a decision. Is
JJ McCarthy your future at the quarterback position? And I
just get a sense week in and week out that
their coaches on the fence. You know this is he's
a quarterback, he's a former quarterback. He's expecting certain things
from JJ McCarthy, and he hasn't been able to do
it on a consistent basis.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
FJA, I don't think the team has been consistent.
Speaker 4 (54:43):
I don't know if it's just a quarterback, but I
don't think the team offensively, even defensively, they've They've had
some games that they've given up some big some big
points charges come to mind. This Texas Houston's game. We
haven't mentioned it. Texas haven't scored. I know, it's three
to nothing.
Speaker 3 (54:57):
Well again, you've got Davis Mills quarterback. I know, even
engineered a miracle comeback last week. I mean, he's not good.
Speaker 4 (55:05):
Yeah, well this is one of my upset picture. You
can see her on my notes. I saw the Titans
at a plus five and a half. They over rundre
thirty seven and a half.
Speaker 2 (55:12):
Vegas.
Speaker 4 (55:12):
Don't think everybody's gonna score in this game, and that
that definitely looks like that's gonna hit on on the under.
But you know what, I think we've also seen this,
Like I said that, maybe the last two or three weeks,
we've seen some teams struggle like all over, like the Panthers, right,
they they go and they blow off the falcons and
we're like, oh wow, here they go, and then they
get over five hundred.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
It's like, wow, Okay, this is this is what I'm
talking about.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
Then your home home against the Saints, right right home
against the Saints, and you lose.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
Who should have been oh and seventeen. Screwed my money
up there with with the thirty five year old rookie
shock right, I thought it was skout is how do
you pronounce it?
Speaker 4 (55:49):
Huh?
Speaker 13 (55:49):
Is this call skull skole? No, it's shut shuck shuck.
It's not spe spell h o ugh like shofar. Right up,
it's shocked. Wow, yeah, that is how am I?
Speaker 2 (56:03):
Right? Bow, it's shuck shuck. They're oysters.
Speaker 4 (56:09):
There's just some teams here, man, the Panthers inconsistent, the
Vikings inconsistent, the Jacks inconsistent. Teams that don't have their quarterback.
I'm not sure how much we can dive in on,
Like the Texas don't have CJ. Tank Dale, like they
they're missing some guys and we had questions about CJ.
Speaker 2 (56:26):
And oh my god, you look at this way. The
Bills just scored on like a nothing play. What happened
on this play?
Speaker 7 (56:37):
It was just a.
Speaker 2 (56:37):
Little sideways swing pass and not a single buccaneer touched him.
He just went straight down the sidelines and go Before that,
Josh All was seven of sixteen passing for one hundred
and three yards, just never touched. Never on the fact.
Speaker 4 (57:00):
Oh yeah, that's a block and that's a that's a
holding a block in the back on the edge. That's terrible,
and that's what the coaches. He is upset. I just
saw in the replay he is upset. That's and see
here's my thing. Would officiating on a play like that,
the side judge is standing right there, You cannot tell
me because people say, well, there's holding on every play,
all right, Well, then damn it.
Speaker 2 (57:19):
Call it.
Speaker 4 (57:20):
Then if it's holding on every play, which I don't believe.
There are some guys in the lead that know how
to block. But when you hold spinning guy down and
then hit him in his back and the back runs
right by there, you're you're watching that.
Speaker 2 (57:31):
Maybe we got to.
Speaker 3 (57:31):
Bring back Look way back in the Stone Age, Okay,
offensive lineman had to keep their hands against their chest.
There was no extending the arms. That was not allowed.
Imagine trying to block somebody will you literally had to
keep your hands to your chest.
Speaker 4 (57:50):
Or if your hands have to be inside, you could not.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
There was no extending of the arms, none of that.
Bring that back. Let's see how good of these blockers.
Speaker 4 (57:58):
Actually, that's a bad touchdown to give right before that,
just a brutal.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
Touchdown for the Buccaneers. So have the lead, and now.
Speaker 3 (58:05):
The Bills have retaken the lead twenty one to seventeen
just seconds to go in the first half of the game. Giants,
by the way, tied up their game with the Packers,
so thirteen all their Steelers. Now twenty five seconds left
in the half. They have a second and goal at
Cincinnati seven yard line. They lead at seven to six.
Speaker 4 (58:25):
This is the penalties of help to drive. The Bagals
have three penalties for thirty seven yards on this.
Speaker 2 (58:29):
You can split it any way you want each I'm
telling you right now, Mike Tomlin never has a losing season,
and the record speaks for Rogers. He is just throwing
the ball up her grabs that's out of the end zone.
Speaker 4 (58:41):
So that zone, I mean, hell of a catch, hell
of an effort. But this, once again, there's not a
more fools goal early in the game team in the league.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
Every week. This is what we're getting from Pittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (58:52):
They come out, You're like, okay, you know, here we go,
and then everything Just look look at receivers running into
each other that well.
Speaker 3 (58:58):
You have four receivers in the same area, So there's
something that something's awry when you have four stealer receivers
within a five yard radius.
Speaker 2 (59:07):
That's not all in the end zone. So Rogers at
the very least did not get intercept. He's not stupid
enough to throw it out for grabs.
Speaker 4 (59:15):
Yeah, don't say that, because he either got to run
the ball and he's holding his hand right now. They're
gonna call a time out because he's in some considerable pain.
And Aaron Rodgers is a tough guy. He's a tough guy.
I've seen his guy take you after. We've seen his
guy take some tremendous hits over his career playing in that.
Speaker 2 (59:30):
Do you like the battle of the Geriatrix? Here? The
Joe Flacco, Aaron.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
Rodgers, These guys are both Super Bowl champions from a
yesteryear yester year, and then that's the twenty ten and
the twenty twelve seasons respectively that these guys won Super Bowls.
Speaker 4 (59:45):
As a man, I'm up for any man who still
wants to go out and do whatever they feel.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
You know that they can do right.
Speaker 4 (59:52):
You know, all of us don't want to get old
and then start going to play golf. You don't think
young kids look at me kind of cross eye when
I show up to the batting cages right up, he
But until I put my gloves on the start.
Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
Do you see me playing golf anytime soon? I mean,
when you only can do one thing, you want to
do it as long as you possibly can.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Right, well, you know that's basically the way it works.
And answer your question, yeah, I'm not mad at it.
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
Man. If listen, if someone's still gonna sign them Steve
and give them a check.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
What are you gonna do? You? What are you gonna do?
Speaker 4 (01:00:23):
You're gonna okay, no, you still want to pay me
like eight million dollars?
Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
No problem? Yeah, oh yeah, I've still got it in me.
Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
I would I've said this when I You know again,
when you when you work in the league and you
see these guys battle week after week, just a survival game,
you say to yourself, you know, why why do you
put yourself through that. On the other hand, as a
non athlete, having been around athletes my entire life, if
I had been gifted with athletic skills to where I
(01:00:51):
could play at the highest level, why would you ever
walk away?
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Ninety nine point nine nine.
Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
Percent of all athletes don't voluntarily retire.
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
What did they say? Stated? Who's the last ones to
know the player?
Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
Ninety nine point of All players in the NFL or
any sport do not voluntarily retire Charles, they are retired Chars.
Speaker 4 (01:01:17):
Barkley was famous in an interview once time for saying
he was walking into the Houston Rockets front office to retire.
What he didn't know was they had a contract prepared
for him. Yeah, he walked in, saw the contract and just.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Took picked up the pens.
Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
He was walking in to retire because he knew he
couldn't do it anymore. But if you're gonna give me
five million dollars to act like I still want to do.
Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
This, well, okay, I did this with Kobe back in
the day. So Kobe blows his achilles. Oh yeah, and
I was at that game, by the way, was there
when he blew the achilles? The Lakers signed him to
a at the time twenty five million dollars three year
deal to a guy that he played six games the
next year trying to come back from this achilles injury.
Speaker 4 (01:02:04):
And everyone, of course obviously remember his leader, Well that
was the other that's why.
Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
Yeah, so he was completely coming apart, and everyone else
course obviously remembers his legendary sixty point game to close
it out, which is. He by the way, took up
fifty shots in that game. Fifty fifty shots, which I
love what I love to be. But that last team
that he played for was seventeen and sixty five. Seventeen
(01:02:29):
and sixty five, right into the toilet of the Lager organization.
Any won begrudge him, no, because he was Kobe Bryant.
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
People wanted to see him. All right. On the other side,
we're going to get our updated power fives, but first
let's find out what is trending. Monsei is back. I
am back. Are you? Are you enjoying any cuisine this morning?
I'm having some fruit, Yes, just fruit.
Speaker 8 (01:02:52):
That means some fruit. Yes, you know, so I can't
to start my day.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Strong, strong, strong. She never cheats herself on a Saturday night.
Speaker 9 (01:03:02):
No, I don't, which I should, though I should so
that I don't.
Speaker 8 (01:03:06):
Need fruit in the morning on Sundays to stay strong.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
Y'all. My Chargers are so annoying, just like can't.
Speaker 8 (01:03:13):
I can't every day.
Speaker 9 (01:03:15):
It's up and down of an emotional roller coaster watching
these Chargers play.
Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
I'll tell you one thing, jessin Herbert, I know that
BJ walked out for a second year. He got planted.
Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
Yeah, I mean he was a third it was a
third down play that we're trying to keep a drive going.
Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
He got absolutely planted. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:03:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:03:32):
He's not having the best half nine to fifteen for
eighty one yard Chargers losing on the road against the Jaguars.
Speaker 8 (01:03:40):
Fourteen to six at the half.
Speaker 9 (01:03:42):
Most of these games are headed to halftime or at
the half.
Speaker 8 (01:03:46):
Bengals are at the half.
Speaker 9 (01:03:47):
Steelers are up though ten six against Cincinnati Air Rodgers.
You guys were talking he seemed to have something wrong
with his hand, but they haven't given us an update
on that. Both the Packers and the Giants have missed
an extra point, so they are at thirteen still about
thirty seconds before the half. There, the Bears are leading
the Vikings ten three in Minnesota. JJ McCarthy is ten
of nineteen seventy four yards two interceptions. The Titans are
(01:04:11):
leading the Texans at home three zero. Bills right now
are leading the Buccaneers at home twenty one seventeen, but
Tampa Bay is in the red zone, maybe getting closer
to scoring here before the half. There's about ten seconds
to go and the Falcons with another touchdown. They are
leading the Panthers twenty one to ten at the half.
But football started in Madrid this morning and the Dolphins
defeated the Commander sixteen to thirteen.
Speaker 8 (01:04:33):
Washington has lost six in a row. And NBA news.
Speaker 9 (01:04:37):
Lebron James has been elevated from the South Bay Lakers
and reassigned to the LA Lakers.
Speaker 8 (01:04:41):
He will be a full.
Speaker 9 (01:04:42):
Participant in Lakers practice on Monday.
Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
He's back.
Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
Enjoy your fruit. I am trying get back to your fruit,

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
All right, it is that time.
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
Oh exposed the power five.
Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
All right, So the Power five where each of us
alternate back and forth. We go from five to one
where we currently stand with the NFL Teams V Day.
Why don't you go first?
Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
What is your number five team currently in the NFFI.
Speaker 4 (01:05:38):
Well, before I even go there, two teams got kicked out,
and I put two new teams in this week, I
kicked yeah, I kicked two teams out. So number five
for me, I replaced the Green Bay Packers with the
showing that they had against the Eagles on Monday night
with the Seattle Seahawks. This team is legit. They are
four in zero on the road, one hundred and three
point point differential. They're fourth in total points in two
(01:05:59):
to seventy five, ninth offense, ninth defense, and Jackson Smith
and jigbut just might be the league's best receiver right
now this season, the only receiver in the league right
now over one thousand yards. I need the rushing office,
which is sixteenth in the league, to get a little better.
I mean, they got two quality bats, Zach Sharp, my
guy Michigans and Oaks Christen. But I just need that
(01:06:20):
running game to produce a little more than sixteenth in
the league.
Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
Give me them at number.
Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
Five at seven and two right now, all right, My
number five right now is the team with the best
record in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
That would be the New England Patriots number five.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
Thank you, because the only reason I have them down
this far is strength up schedule. The only team with
a weaker strength of schedule in the NFL currently are
the Chicago Bears, so the strength of schedule holds them back.
But again, the record doesn't lie. This team is City
at nine to two.
Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
They're on a roll right now.
Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
They're playing good football, So I can't ignore the team
with the best record in the NFL and keep them
out of my top five.
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
I got the Pats at number five. I will go
number four.
Speaker 1 (01:06:58):
Number four.
Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
Number four team is the team that's right behind him
as the number two seed in the ANFC. That is
the Indianapolis Colts. And again I'm not gonna ignore a
team that has a quarterback that has maintained the one
of the highest qbrs all season long and Daniel Jones.
They have the best running back in the league this
year with Jonathan Taylor. Look, they got weaknesses. That secondary
is very suspect.
Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
Again, they've also benefited from a rather weak strength of schedule.
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
But the record doesn't lie eight and two. So I
got the passes my number five. I got my Colts
at number four vj.
Speaker 4 (01:07:31):
Number four for number four stay as put as it
was last week. I'm gonna stick with the Charges the
way the demolils the Steelers. I still love the three
and zero against the Division, three and one on the row,
six and one versus the AFC. They have the eighth
break offense, the tenth ranke rush offense, the seventh ranked
pass offense, and the four ranked defense fifth against the
pass and third against the rush. Only give it up
(01:07:51):
a buckle six. They're down today, but today we're not
going by what today. I'm going off with what we've
seen in the past. I kept them kind of still
at number four because I.
Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Do think Harball can coach this team to.
Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
Be in the top five, top six team once it's
all set and done and get their first playoff win.
Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
All right, jump in with their number three.
Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
Number three three also stays the same as the Coats.
Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
I got the Coats right there.
Speaker 4 (01:08:12):
Number one offense, number one rushing Dale Jones, Taylor Pittman,
seventeenth ranked defense though, and they have the twenty sixth
ranked pass defense, which you mentioned. They need to clean
that up. I think they did that by getting Salz Garner.
I disagree on that, but I'll tell you right now.
They also have the seventh rate rush defense. They are
one of ten teams to hold game teams below one
hundred yards per game. You can't run on this defense,
(01:08:35):
but you can throw on them. They need to clean
that up. Give me the coach right now to eight
and two, sitting in first in the NFC North at
number three.
Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
All right, my number three is the team you already
numbered three. I think even more of them. That would
be the Seattle Seahawks. I like this team a lot.
That defense is for real right now because of the
tie break, they actually lead the NFC West obviously the
big showdown against the Rams today, and I'm a believer
in Sam Darnold.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
You know what I love about Darnold. He's not afraid.
He'll step in the throws and he'll get it down
the field and try to make plays with that team.
Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
So I have the Seahawks at number three. My number two,
number two Philadelphia Eagles. I dropped him out of the
number one slot. I mean, they're just sort of shimming around.
But I am not gonna gnure a team that you know,
going into the season was a runaway favorite to me
in the NFC, and they are finding the ways to
win games. And so as long as they have the
(01:09:27):
talent they have, including aj Brown, I can't drop the
Eagles any further down than number two, which.
Speaker 4 (01:09:35):
That tells me what your number one team in because
they're my number two team in number two. All the way,
it's in my top five. I did not have them
in the top five, but the way the La Rams
went up to Santa Clair and put the beat down
and as we talked to Moose Johnson, you blink it
was twenty one to nothing in a rush. But I
dive deeper into this team right now they only have
(01:09:57):
six interceptions. The defense really good that they need more.
But last week they dominate the Niners fifth offense second
and pass their fourth in turnover differentiator of plus seven.
That is an important stat in the NFL if you
could take the ball away from and they have the
number two passing offense. Matthew Stafford, as I have been
telling you all, is a Hall of Fame or stop this.
Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
BS that nos not yes he is.
Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
I'm gonna start to tell those people that say you
don't know football, and I don't like talking that way,
but you don't Adams nine touchdowns right now Nicoua. Kyron
Young has nine sacks. Mcveigh's coaching his you know what off.
I was thoroughly impressed with this team. I voted them
of my questionable six and seven spots last week, all
the way up the number two, which brings me.
Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
To my number one, number one.
Speaker 4 (01:10:42):
And I'm gonna stay there because they won the game.
I don't care who say there's no style points, but
for some reason, we strategically play style points when we
start talking about certain teams in certain records, in certain rankings.
This team is still the number one team in the
league to me, because they the defending champions. They had alit,
a little glit where they lost back to back games.
(01:11:03):
They're gonna run away with that division because we saw
the Commanders lose again today. We know what the Cowboys
are gonna be this year, and we know what the
Giants are. They've already fired their coach. But I tell
you right now, man, they need to just keep play football.
Let all the people talk, because at the end of
the day, w's ls which one matters more? And that's
all that's about. Give me the Philadelphia Eagle seven to two,
(01:11:24):
first in the FC. He's gonna win up.
Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
The Vision A game.
Speaker 6 (01:11:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
My Number one, of course, is the Los Angeles Rams.
And I said before the season right here that the
number two team with a healthy Matthew Stafford was the Rams.
Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
That's what I thought. Well, he's been more than healthy.
You mentioned MVP to me, he's a runaway. Twenty five touchdowns,
two picks, right, And as I've been saying many times,
I usually am stay with my first impressions on players.
I've completely flipped on Matthew Stafford. I agree with you.
This will cap it off when he is the MVP
this year. Look, this team has everything. Devonte Adams has
(01:11:58):
six touchdowns in the last three So remember we were
saying trying to get on the same page.
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
They're on the same page right now.
Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Pooko Nakula, you know there are a lot of great
receivers in this league. I wouldn't trade Poka Nikola for
any receiver. That's how good I think he is. He
is tremendous because he competed to both He was in
possession guy.
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
He can get the ball deep. He can so versatile.
Speaker 3 (01:12:18):
Kyra Walliams more than a quality back he's been in
the Pro Bowl, that young defensive line. A lot of
people thought, and including myself, you lose, Anon Donald, how
are you going to recover?
Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Well, they've recovered because they drafted beautifully. They have drafted
better than any other team in this league over the
last several years.
Speaker 3 (01:12:34):
So in the moment, by the way team averaging thirty
seven points a game over the last three games. My Rams,
who I did have in my top five. I had
number three. Last week they jumped all the way to
number one. Right it is sorry power five, so we're
pretty close.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
We are.
Speaker 4 (01:12:50):
I had to I had to knock out too. I
took out Green Bay. I just didn't like. I just
didn't like that. I didn't like them on they night
show Him at Home.
Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
I just I'm glad that you find only jumped on
the Rams bandwagon.
Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
You were holding it.
Speaker 4 (01:13:02):
Yes, I had to, but after last week, you'd be
you'd be a fool not to put your fan cap
away and just be an analyst and watch the tape
and just go, Okay, this is crazy what we're watching.
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
Because a year and a half ago, there are.
Speaker 4 (01:13:16):
People even in this studio that said Matthew Stafford was
done with Matthew Stafford after he won the Super Bowl.
He was done, he was and here he is having
an MVP. I might you know what, man, if I
had a vote, which I don't don't care, but I don't,
I might give it to him right now.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
Twenty five touchdowns and two picks, I mean, and what
he is doing perge.
Speaker 3 (01:13:39):
But I will say this, this is gonna be a
tough game today. Seahawks are very legit. That is a
big time defense. But the Rams at home out of
take care of business out at so far today against
the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
Three point favorite. I got him covered.
Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
You may have to drop the Chargers out of your
list because right now they're getting dominated by the Jaguar.
Touchdown on the keeper by Trevor Lawrence twenty to six.
Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
Right now the Jaguars lead the top five. Where's your
top five against? Again?
Speaker 3 (01:14:09):
A number five and so pass at five? Colt said,
four Seahawks, three Eagles, two Rams one. Your top five
from five to one.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
Five was Seahawks, Chargers coach Rams Philly. So we only
have one team really one, right? So I have the
pass sneaking out a five. You have the Chargers, Yeah, yeah,
And you're not gonna have the Chargers after.
Speaker 4 (01:14:26):
Well, no, no, no, And if I I mean if
they fall a spot, they fall a spot, I wouldn't
make them fall out because they're also playing a a
a quality opponent. I'm not sure how good jack Listen,
I'm not sure how good Jacksonville is. I just knowing
we saw what they did last week, right, but are
their quality opponent?
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
It's on the road a coast to cash game.
Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
I was about to mention that we know the record
of teams that have to come from the West coast
to come to the East coast to play the one
o'clock the Chargers in am.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
In this game. Yeah, they were fair well they should
have been.
Speaker 4 (01:14:57):
They were favored in this, should have been favored so
many three poin they wait, wait, it went the fair
by field goal.
Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
On the road. It means the base And they're down
fifteen right now, So you think they'll call, You think
they got us try to come back? Do they have
a chance? Yeah, but right now it's not looking good.
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:15:12):
Coming up on the other side, we'll get back to Hey.
Second halfs, Yeah, second halfs are going to be rolling
around the National Football League, and we got it all
covered for you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
This is end zone radio fifty.
Speaker 1 (01:15:23):
Back to them on first and goal from the one.
Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
Quarterback draws all possibilities, like, isn't it.
Speaker 7 (01:15:27):
It's just gonna be a quarterback tower right up there.
Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
I don't touch out Henry Trevor Lawrence, just lower your
shoulder and pulled into the end zone.
Speaker 12 (01:15:33):
It almost untouched a one yard touchdown running Jacksonville's extended
the lay.
Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
That's ten ten Xcel ninety two point five FM Jaguars
Radio Network.
Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
It is all Jags. Six minutes to go in the
third quarter. In that game, they lead the Chargers by
a score of twenty one to six. Just running down
the scoreboard right now. These are all third quarter scores.
Steelers lead the Bengals ten to six. Packers and Giants
are tied at thirteen ten to three over the Vikings.
The Titans lead the Texans is ugly six nothing. Titans
(01:16:07):
midway through the third quarter, twenty one to twenty. Just
start of the second half, Bills over the Bucks, and
the Falcons are now leading the Panthers twenty one sixteen.
So the Panthers beginning to mount a comeback. Bryce Young,
by the way, is having a game today. He is
fifteen of nineteen for one hundred and ninety six yards
and two touchdowns, so he's had a near perfect day
(01:16:29):
throwing the ball. But Michael Pennix has been equally, if
not better, eleven of twelve four hundred and sixty three yards,
no scores. Bjon Robinson has been getting in the end
zone ninety three yards on the ground and two touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
So we got some very competitive.
Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
Games going on right now we do around the National
Football League, which is good. We always want some exciting finishes.
By the way, Bears just added a field goal, so
they now lead the Vikings by a score of thirteen
to three, and the Vikings have got to get some
offense going right now.
Speaker 7 (01:17:01):
Guys, while we're on that game, I wanted to mention something.
Nashawan Wright who picked off that second pass from JJ McCarthy.
He was getting emotional on the sidelines. Nashawan Wright is
one of the NFL players that played at Laney College
for the coach John Beam who was shot and killed.
Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
Yeah last chance you Yeah, so that is just such
a weird Yeah, we're I mean, obviously a tragic story.
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
I got it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
I got what happened, right this guy.
Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
This guy dedicated his life to helping kids, you know,
these jc's, you know, was sort of your last chance,
and he was targeted. He was murdered by some twenty
seven year old. I know, we'll find out more about
this story, but just a horrific course.
Speaker 7 (01:17:44):
See Nashan Wright do something like that, mind, that's very nice.
Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Pray for his family, man, and just pray for everybody.
And by the way, he had retired, he stayed on
at the school.
Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
Is like an athletic director to be targeted like that
sixty six years old.
Speaker 4 (01:17:58):
I mean, come on, wow, their feelings in society, guys.
That's why you always got to keep your head on
the swivel, man. You always got to pay attention because,
like you said about driving right, teach your kids. You
could be doing the right thing, guys, and you know,
next thing, you know here, somebody else comes along that's
not enjoying their life.
Speaker 2 (01:18:14):
All right. We got a couple of updates here.
Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
Ye, Bengals got a field goal, so Steelers' lead is
now ten to nine over the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
Packers have a first and goal at the Giants three
yard line. That game is tied at thirteen, and the Texans,
who haven't gotten on the board yet, are close. They
got a second goal at the Tennessee three yard line.
Titans lead that game by a score of six and nothing.
Wouln't there like to have paid big money for that game?
Who would have I know?
Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
Any Oh my god, that was the first game I
wanted to see today. Just real quick, man, I got
a question for you.
Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
Yeah, what is your say?
Speaker 4 (01:18:46):
Let's help the fans out here, great listeners, Fox Sports Radio.
What do you see in the season so far? We're
in week eleven. Oh, I think what's the what's the theme?
If you had to give it a theme, it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
Doesn't have one. There's no identity to the season yet. Zero.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
We haven't had any team that really has taken off.
I mean, like again, when we talk about winning streaks,
like we talked about the Bears that winning six or seven,
or the Patriots rattling out their wins. Let me repeat
those two teams right now. Strength the schedule. The Patriots
are thirty first and the Bears are thirty second. Okay, now,
(01:19:21):
you could give them credit because they're winning the games
they're supposed to win, but you just can't ignore when
you have the two teams with the two weakest schedules
to date having the kind of hot streaks they are
right now, how legit is it.
Speaker 4 (01:19:35):
I'll give you a better number to Patriots opponents combined
record this year fourteen and forty.
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
Right, But the Bears' opponents are even worse.
Speaker 4 (01:19:44):
They're even worse. Yeah, So yeah, and that's why I
just I'm with you. I think Perry is parody a
good word? Do we have true periods? What Brady said
that we're just seeing a lot of beat Brady called
it back football?
Speaker 7 (01:19:56):
Well, can we call it the backup quarterbacks? Because miss
and Rudolph's in there now?
Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Rudolphs that way. Yeah, I just add another, he's the
seventeenth back of.
Speaker 4 (01:20:04):
The quarter Well seventeenth, Well, I got no, no, I'll
go by who had to start? Okay, Mason hasn't had
to start, Okay, right, yeah, teams have had to start.
Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
So today we actually got sixteen out of thirty two
teams started yes'day back up from where they started the season,
which is uh, Look, I mean I've said this before.
There's a fine line between parody and pero d And
so yeah, I think that when when Tom Brady brings
up the fact that, hey, let's be honest, we haven't
(01:20:34):
been seeing good football this year. He's not certainly not
on a consistent basis. That doesn't mean it's going to
change maybe later on in the day. Keep it right here.
Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
This is end Zone Radio. It's week eleven in the NFL,
and we are on fire right now.
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
It's seven games going on heading toward the end of
third quarters, fourth quarters around the corner.
Speaker 7 (01:20:56):
By the way, they.
Speaker 2 (01:20:58):
Christopher Fett, isn't it a no huddle hour right now?
Speaker 1 (01:21:03):
Do you know what time it is? No huddle?
Speaker 2 (01:21:06):
That lie, that's the no huddle hour. This where we
more to deliver every game. You always do, and I
appreciate that. Right now, a couple of teams in trouble.
One of them would be the Chargers are in trouble.
We are going to the fourth quarter of that game
and they are trailing the Jags twenty one to six.
And right now the Jags are in the red zone.
They face the third and six at the Chargers twenty
(01:21:28):
yard line. So again, when.
Speaker 3 (01:21:31):
People talk about coast to coast moves, where you would
go from the west coast to the east coast, and
then you have the earlier game.
Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
It is a factor.
Speaker 3 (01:21:41):
It's a real thing, and you can't ignore it. You
could say, wow, the Jaguars last week blew a nineteen
point lead. Charges have been playing really good football right now,
and you just felt like Jim Harball find a way
and this game is an over. It's a two score game,
but it's definitely leaning in the Jags direction. These other games, though,
are really up for grabs. I mean, Steelers Bengals ten
(01:22:04):
to nine, just in absolute grinded out AFC North game
as predicted, and so we're a long way from finish there,
Giants hanging in by the way, trailing the Packers by
a score of nineteen thirteen. We're looking for Vikings offense.
Is there any Vikings offense at all? Bears aren't doing
much where the Vikings are doing nothing. Bears lead that
(01:22:26):
game thirteen to three. Talk about ugliness. This game is
going to go down to the finish seven to six.
Texans lead the Titans, and then of course we've got
the Falcons who have taken the leads, still lead against
the Panthers twenty one to sixteen. That's a one score game,
and now the Buccaneers looking to retake the lead VJ
against the Bills. This has been the back and forth
(01:22:46):
game of the day. Honestly, if it wasn't for a
little swing pass by Josh Allen that turned into a
big touchdown his I mean, they've had zero passing offense
in this game, the Buffalo Bills outside of that one
almost foolish play. And every time I look up for
the Buccaneers, their best play seems to be Baker Mayfield
running well.
Speaker 4 (01:23:07):
I mean, he's their best player that's on the field
right now. So you wanted the ball in his hand
as much as possible, and you want Baker doing what
he does best. But let's not forget about this barn
burner that we have going on up in the Still
City between the Steelers and the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
That was ten to nine.
Speaker 4 (01:23:23):
And also to look up on the screen, Michael Pennix
at the five to twenty market a third quarter, fourth
and eleven has his helmet off into one of the
traders hands and is limping off the field like I'm
trying to really figure out, man, what is going on?
Like why are so many I think I know the answer,
but it's so easy to le you know, well, you
know they don't practice as much as play as much.
(01:23:45):
But they don't though, like they don't. But you would
think that damn all y'all getting hurt, Like every everybody
gets hurt.
Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
Nothing has anything to do that.
Speaker 6 (01:23:56):
Then we now ask quarterbacks to like play more physical
than we ever have. This is they getting hit these days?
It feels like they they don't look. I know, I
reference old school all the time, but it was different.
Speaker 3 (01:24:10):
It was when you're doing full padded practices every Wednesday
and Thursday for the entire season.
Speaker 2 (01:24:19):
You build up a certain resilience, coat of armor. Call
it what you will.
Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
These guys brutalize their bodies and they paid the price
down the road.
Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
But you know, in those days, they didn't miss a
lot of games. Now, granted you weren't being paid the
same amount of money you needed to stay on the field,
But those guys played hurt. And why don't you everybody
get hurt? Why is it? Why?
Speaker 4 (01:24:45):
Okay, Pat Mahomes is Pat mahomes is lowering the shoulder
of people this year.
Speaker 2 (01:24:49):
There's certain hurts, not hurt. It feels not hurt.
Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
Aaron Rodgers played all seventeen games last year, right, he
didn't miss any game, Jalen hur You know, Philip Rivers
never missed a start right ever, literally from the day
he became the starting quarterback to he never missed the start.
Speaker 2 (01:25:11):
He never got hurt, he never got his games.
Speaker 3 (01:25:13):
This year, I mean Philip Rivers had a torn acl
in the AFC Championship game played and played played, So
it's just crazy. It's a different mentality. Look, we do
the same thing in the NBA. Nobody plays eighty two
games anymore. No star plays eighty two games. They take
fifteen games.
Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
Off, fifteen to twenty. They just take games off.
Speaker 3 (01:25:34):
Michael Jordan's last season with the Washington Wizards forty years old,
eighty two, eighty eighty two did miss a game, you know,
I mean games stocked and missing his career like five
by five.
Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
In nineteen years. And I think I got that. Malowe
was about the same way because I didn't that last
weekson the lake.
Speaker 4 (01:25:49):
I think Stockton went eighty two I want to say
eleven straight years something like that, twelve years he played
eighty two games.
Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
So when when we see, as you mentioned the stat that,
you know, sixteen different teams have started a backup quarterback
this year. Half that wasn't the case back of the day,
and that's not good for the product. It's not good
for the product.
Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
So the idea for the product football, you know, we
want to practice less so we can keep our stars.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
It's the same thing with pitchers in baseball, right, you know,
the less they pitch, the more injuries.
Speaker 11 (01:26:24):
We have.
Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
How many Tommy John surgeries.
Speaker 3 (01:26:27):
It's like every pitcher has a Tommy John surgery within
the first couple of years there in the league. Why
is that, Well, we're asking them to throw as hard
as they can for as long as they can. That's
not pitching for short for a shorter period of time.
Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
It makes no sense at all. So anyway, we saw
Panic's limp off. Will see update.
Speaker 3 (01:26:49):
Their Steelers did get a field goal, so they now
increase their lead to thirteen to nine over the Bengals there. Meanwhile,
the Jags have a first and goal at the clippers
one yard line and touchdown here will put this game away.
Speaker 4 (01:27:01):
Yeah, I'll touchdown here, I'll put this game away. But
I tell you this though I won't. I won't circle
the wagons and mail it in on the charger. If
they dropped this one for me, it'll just be a
We've seen them drop some games this year.
Speaker 2 (01:27:14):
At some ugly games. So you got be blown out
at home by the Commanders and they'll they'll this will
this will be logged as an ugly loss because of
just the production.
Speaker 4 (01:27:23):
But once again, when you're missing both your tackles and
you're having injuries and your quarterbacks getting hit the way
justin hurt is getting hit while he is still handling
his business as far as throwing the football and running
the football right now, for doing everything.
Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
All right, let me let me pause here, take a
look at the Chargers for a moment here, all right,
So they have the perfect follow up game for this.
Speaker 2 (01:27:43):
Now, they have a bye.
Speaker 3 (01:27:44):
Week after this game they're gonna need, and then they
host the Raiders. Okay, it doesn't get any better than
that bye week. It's almost like two bye weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
Okay, after that though, Eagles at home, at the Chiefs,
at the Cowboys, Texas at home, and they finished the
season at Denver, and we'll see how things happened. I mean,
it's hard to project six weeks from now, seven weeks
from now, where those two teams are gonna be.
Speaker 4 (01:28:13):
Six, right, eleven and six twelve and five they could
lose a game of zoo more half that is eleven
is six, twelve and five.
Speaker 3 (01:28:20):
Well again you at home. See here's the problem. They're
gonna play at home against the Eagles. That is going
to be a sea of greement at Sofi Stadium like
it was last year.
Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
I guess the sea of green. You know, it's so funny.
Speaker 3 (01:28:34):
I sit here on Saturday nights as I do my
LA late show on TV, and I always wrap up
by giving my picks on the Rams and Chargers. Last peak,
I picked both the Chargers and Rams to lose. They
both won. Last night I picked both the Chargers and
Rams to win, and the Chargers gonna lose and the
Rams look out, and that's kiss of death. The irony
(01:28:54):
is if the if the Raiders were playing tomorrow today,
they're not. They're playing tomorrow. I also picked the Raiders
game because there are still more. When you pull people
all right, they'll ask you this question, are you an
NFL fan? Are you an NFL fan? Yes, I'm an
NFL fan. Which is your favorite team?
Speaker 1 (01:29:15):
In LA?
Speaker 3 (01:29:16):
Still there are more NFL fans that identify as Raider fans,
right than either Ram fans or Charger fans.
Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
I always thought the Raiders should have been the team
brought here back with the Rams, and the Chargers should
have been moved to Vegas.
Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
I was always of the idea that.
Speaker 3 (01:29:32):
And by the way, the mayors and I say the
mayors a husband and wife team that was mayors both
die hard Charger fans. They didn't want the Raiders. They
wanted the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
YEP. I thought the Chargers should have been the team.
First of all.
Speaker 4 (01:29:46):
I thought the Chargers should have the San Diego should
have just done the right thing. Get the Charges there,
let's start there. But being it, that didn't happen.
Speaker 2 (01:29:51):
Yeah. I always felt, well, if you're.
Speaker 4 (01:29:53):
Going to bring two teams back here, bring the Raiders
back here, why would you move the Raiders to Vegas.
Speaker 7 (01:29:59):
That was a non starter for Cronky exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
Kronky said, I'm not gonna have I I'll bring the
Chargers in me because no one gives the Rats ass
about the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (01:30:08):
In La they I will welcome as a number two.
That's exactly right, Bo. They did not. They knew if
the Rams, if the Raiders moved into Sofi, they would
own that.
Speaker 4 (01:30:17):
That answers that question. I just yeah, well, here's the thing.
Last Sunday night, I was shocked at how much black
and goal. I knew it was gonna be a lot
of black and goal, but it dwarf the stadium. It
dwarfed so far. You can feel it in the parking lot.
You can feel it. Walking in, you could feel it.
If an impress spot, you could feel it. Looking down
you could. It was like, Wow, this place is a
(01:30:41):
Steeler's home game.
Speaker 2 (01:30:43):
It's right at home. Even Snoop Dogg showed up.
Speaker 3 (01:30:45):
I've only been to a few games, Chargers games outed sofi.
Usually it's been either the Chiefs, Broncos, you know, divisional games,
primetime games. I take my voice of the game, by
the way, texting my dear for Matt mney Smith, the
voice of the Chargers, while the games go went on.
Speaker 2 (01:31:01):
And.
Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
I mean, it's just it's he can't overplay it. And
look at I'm I know there are Chargers fans screaming
right now. They're Rams fans screaming. I'm not talking about you.
I'm not talking about my son. My younger son is
a true Chargers fan. He has never wavered at all.
He is a Chargers fan to the core and has
been his entire lives. I'm not talking about the hardcore fans.
(01:31:25):
People ask me the questions. I go on a lot
of shows around the country. They go, how's the NFL doing.
I'm like, no one's talking about the NFL in l A.
Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
I mean, they're.
Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
Celebrating another Dodger World Series victory. The Lakers season's underway.
Speaker 2 (01:31:40):
Want to say, we're talking about a player that's not
even playing right.
Speaker 11 (01:31:42):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
But you know, but you know Luka Doncic by the way,
he's he's good. Yeah, Austin, it's all about to come
to a crashing halt. It will well, we'll see.
Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
I mean, by the way, I have said that Lebron
has played his final game as a Laker. I said
that last year. When the season ends, he still hasn't
played a game as a Laker. The word is he's
gonna be coming back soon.
Speaker 4 (01:32:05):
He's practicing crashing to speaking of back to the NFL.
The Panthers on the move right now. Bryce Young had
a little fiery exchange with his offensive line, not in
a bad way, but kind of pointing on to himself like, Okay, guys,
it's been on me so far. Let's get going and
they're driving right now. They're inside the red zone. Ye
right now with I can't see the downyards but third
quarter taking almost too a minute to go. Second and
(01:32:28):
six here too, so and o ooh that's a flag. Nope,
thee down because see that's just a bad play.
Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
You can end that man season like that. The ball's gone.
Speaker 4 (01:32:40):
Why are you Why are you aiming to the back
of his Look at this, he's got plenty of time.
Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
No, that's me, bro, that's dirty. You got lucky.
Speaker 3 (01:32:50):
Honestly, it's great that he didn't plan his feed. Those
that was the knees would have gone out, all right.
A couple updates. Texans at a field goal now lead
the Titans ten to six. Bears at a field goal,
they're beating the Vikings sixteen to three. What happened to
the Giants? Oh, Jameis Winston got sacked?
Speaker 2 (01:33:10):
Why were they not kicking a field goal? You're down
six with two minutes to go in the third quarter.
Speaker 4 (01:33:15):
Were you kicking a field goal for your You're bad?
You fired your coach. My man crab Legs is in
the game nine.
Speaker 2 (01:33:21):
Go let it chuck away.
Speaker 3 (01:33:22):
They went for it on four down, and uh, Winston
took a sack, so the Packers takeover on downs there, all.
Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
Right, we are rolling toward in this no huddle hour.
Speaker 1 (01:33:34):
Yeah, no, no huddle.
Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
We got some competitive games in the fourth quarter. Oh
we will. We're gonna finishes coming up. This is end
Zone radio.
Speaker 10 (01:33:43):
Now Shawn Tucker is reinserted. One back set now and
may Field other sort of Graham Barton, we got two
tight ends. Here's the hand off Seawn Tucker runs to
us right, not the five for two?
Speaker 2 (01:33:54):
What top stops Happer? That's ninety eight rock Buccaneers radio network.
Back and forth, they going, guess what.
Speaker 3 (01:34:02):
Josh Allen just threw a touchdown pass to Cook to
retake the lead. So the Buccaneers had taken the lead.
Now the Bills have taken the lead thirty to twenty six.
Make it thirty one to twenty six with the extra
point still four minutes to go in the third quarter,
so long way to go.
Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
So that has been literally how many how many lead changes?
Speaker 10 (01:34:20):
What?
Speaker 7 (01:34:20):
That's six?
Speaker 4 (01:34:20):
That's like six, But that's all that's off of a
Baker Mayfield bad pass that was picked off, that gave
them back the ball and plus and plus field position
for him to get that score.
Speaker 2 (01:34:29):
So can't turn the ball over in the NFL, No,
you can. It seems to make you pay for it.
You cannot do that.
Speaker 3 (01:34:34):
Once again, we're in the Fox Sports Radio studios here
in the no Huddle hour as we head.
Speaker 1 (01:34:40):
Down the store, no huddle.
Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
Okay, I don't want to pick on anybody, because this
quarterback is one that I championed as well, and this
is his first year as a starting quarterback. But it's
it's been a rough start for JJ McCarthy. He had
that one fabulous fourth quarter comeback. So he came into
today with the lowest passer rat in the league, the
(01:35:02):
second lowest QBR in the league, barely completing fifty percent
of his passes in an era where if you're under
sixty five percent it's subpar. Today ten of twenty two,
seventy four yards, no touchdowns, two picks, a passer rated
of sixteen.
Speaker 2 (01:35:17):
In other words, he's not getting better.
Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
So the question is this is a team that a
year ago was fourteen and three, fourteen and three with
Sam Darnold who hadn't really had a full season as
a starting quarterback until last season, and now the same
team is staring at a four and six start and
unless you know I say this by the way, I
(01:35:40):
may spark J McCarthy because you know how it is
anytime I go negative on somebody, immediately boom, they light up,
and this could turn things around. McCarthy in this game
is still a two score game. But why isn't he
making more progress? I here's what I like about JJ McCarthy.
He's got swag.
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
I just watch quarterbacks on the field, like do I belong.
Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
When you see a quarterback that suddenly loses confidence, you
can see it in their demeanor, the way they walk
and everything else.
Speaker 2 (01:36:11):
I have not seen that in JJ McCarthy at all.
He still marches around like the National Championship quarterback that
he was at Michigan, but the results are not there yet.
Speaker 3 (01:36:23):
And I'm just wondering, because he's got one of the
best quarterback coaches in the league, why he isn't taking
McCarthy's game to the next level. I know, I don't
want to pick because I know you're true blue, and
the one thing I love about you, VJ.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
You are true loyal and I love that and you're
not going to offer excuses.
Speaker 3 (01:36:41):
But at the same time, I expected after you know,
showing some signs early in the year that, yeah, McCarthy's
the guy. Why is he struggling to get back on
track to take that next step.
Speaker 4 (01:36:54):
That's a question you have to ask the coach. I mean,
that's a question for the coach, that's a question for
the whole team. Man, I don't have that there too.
Speaker 3 (01:37:00):
I mean, Kevin O'Connell is certainly a guy that has
been known as a guy that can get the best
out of his quarterbacks, and he's really struggling right now
to get.
Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
The best out of JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 4 (01:37:12):
You know, when you got a rookie, essentially a rookie,
it takes some time. Like I said, I'm not gonna
any any rookie that comes into the league. You gotta
give him times Likekayla william Right, everybody was out on
Caleb last year, he's said, and it will probably be
going to seven and three right now and all of
a sudden all the opinions will change, or.
Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
You al still have people to say, well, all I
just still got to see. I just still got to.
Speaker 4 (01:37:28):
See even with Drake May, Like you can see the
improvements with Drake May, but he he has he has
a he has a really tough minded coach, right, have
a really tough minded coature there in New England. They're
expected to be good, they're expected to win.
Speaker 2 (01:37:40):
I think.
Speaker 4 (01:37:41):
Uh sometimes certain franchises there they hope they can win.
They hope they could be successful, like the Vikings. How
many Super Bowl rings do they that would be They're okay,
So they they have had The last time they've been
to Super Bowl was in the nineteen Oh no, no, no,
it was.
Speaker 2 (01:37:56):
January nine, eighties. Yeah, January seventy seven against old Man Willie. Yeah, yeah,
the year was born.
Speaker 4 (01:38:04):
So there are certain franchises that hope to be good,
and there's certain franchises that expect to be good. But
to ask why has it taken it off? I mean
when you look around this this team, they have questions.
The defense is fine, but offensively the line you know,
started off being hurt this year too. But you also
had Addison out to start the year, you had JJ
hurt out to start the year. At Carson wentz out
(01:38:26):
there trying to figure it out and putting his body
out there on the line for his last days in
the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:38:32):
So may you know, we'll just have to see how
the future and how the immediate hold on their future goes.
But like I said, guess what touchdown Minnesota? See how
I can do this? It was mostly on the ground.
It was a lot of Aaron Jadens doesn't manner. The
bottom line is I can turn a guy's game around.
Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
J McCarthy's gonna walk off the field a winner today,
and we're gonna point back to it as soon as
Hartbin went full on negative on JJ.
Speaker 2 (01:38:58):
So now sixteen ten.
Speaker 3 (01:39:00):
Now it's one of those games we're gonna keep an
eye on. By the way, total yards in the second
half between the Jags and the Chargers Jags one hundred
and forty nine, the Chargers four total yards in the
second half. I don't can win games like that, man,
Chargers were favored on the road today and are down
thirty five to six.
Speaker 4 (01:39:20):
Yeah, Vegas made some money on that one. Boy woo
did Vegas make some money on that one right there?
Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
Also too, the Panthers got a field goal out of
that drive. Today.
Speaker 4 (01:39:31):
That game is now at twenty one nineteen. Is now
twenty one nineteen, so a field goal for them would
win that game. Kirk Cousins is in at quarterback. I
would assume that Michael Pennix Junior is done for the day. Yeah,
he limped off, He limped off the field. He took
his helmet from him, which is always a sign in
football when you don't have your helmet in hand. Back
(01:39:52):
to the Vikers real quick. I just have a question.
We have all these questions. This is the same Vikings
team that kicked the hell out of the Lions. Who people,
we're great last year too, Right, So you find us
in the NFL, you're gonna find games where the Chargers.
We're looking at the Charges today, right, the Chargers wouldn't
put up thirty seven points against this Flora's defense. And
we love this Flores defense Sunday to Sunday in the NFL.
(01:40:13):
It's just it comes and goes man for certain teams
and certain franchises and certain predicaments that we're watching the
Bills right now. They ad them thirty one points. But
this defense, that's that's been really good this year. They
have twenty six points on the board and the Bucks
are pushing the ball down the field.
Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
Again and we put the ball in Miami lit up
with the Bills last week, right, but but couldn't but
couldn't capitalize and kept, you know, making stupid mistakes against
the Commander's defense.
Speaker 4 (01:40:37):
Today, it's it's week to week in the NFL. I
think we get caught up. We get caught up in
and over analyzing. And we're gonna find us today with
the Seahawks and Rams. We're gonna find this to day
with the Niners and the Cardinals. Look, the Ravens are
at the Browns. We haven't said a word about that
game yet, and that's the letter again. But the Ravers
are at the Browns.
Speaker 2 (01:40:54):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:40:54):
The Ravens should walk in here, and they should and
they should dog walk the Browns exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
But they won't. You know, they won't. I know they won't.
You know I was talking about that game yesterday with
Monsei and then what do you guys pick the Browns? No?
Speaker 4 (01:41:09):
Okay, no, okay no, And look at I recognized division game.
Brown's Ravens very very great defense with the Browns. Great
defense with the Browns. But gear is going to be
chasing Lamar Jackson Jackson.
Speaker 2 (01:41:21):
Lamar Jackson's pass ratings one hundred and twenty seven, Yeah,
fifteen touchdowns he has.
Speaker 8 (01:41:29):
I was like, Browns will cover, like Krowns are going
to cover sven and a.
Speaker 3 (01:41:33):
Half seven and a half, and I thought was by
the way, I so I have the best man at
my wedding was a bookie, okay, and that's a fact.
Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
One of my dearest friends back in the day was
he part of one of the five families. And uh,
he always told me this, The lines are key, all right,
you're ready for this.
Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
Yeah, seven and a half, three and a half, seven
and a half as opposed to six and a half
two and a half. Right, So those are what call
sucker lines, or lest he did. So your instinct when
you have a seven and a half is to take
the dog right right, or same thing with three and
a half. Take the dog right or on the other side,
two and a half, take the favorite right or six
(01:42:13):
and a half take the favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:42:14):
Just the opposite. It's just the opposite.
Speaker 3 (01:42:17):
He showed me numbers over the course of an entire season,
and it wasn't close. It's a sucker line. I can
draw people in. Put it at seven and a half.
They'll jump on the dog. Favorite covers like sixty five
percent of the time. Absolutely, And it's why because and
so when I look at Baltimore at seven and a half,
take the Ravens, and.
Speaker 4 (01:42:37):
You also go to betting trends. Betting trends is another
category that I really love. You go to betting trends
that look at betting trends.
Speaker 2 (01:42:43):
It'll tell you.
Speaker 4 (01:42:44):
It will tell you what these teams have done over
the last thirty five for you can look it up
as much as over the last fifty to seventy games,
as far as covering the spread against the spread. And
when you see, oh, in the last sixty games, this
team is fifty to ten at home against the spread,
and you go look at the spread and like you said,
it's like seven and a half eight.
Speaker 2 (01:43:03):
Trust me, take them to look at the spread. Look
at this.
Speaker 3 (01:43:06):
So the game's remaining, including the money night game, Rams
three and a half point favorites forty nine, Ers three
and a half point favorites, Ravens seven and a half
point favorites, Chiefs three and a half point favorites Eagles
two and a half, and the Dallas Cowboys three and
a half. Every one of those is one of those numbers.
(01:43:27):
They're genius. There's a reason they're making money. So every
one of those numbers is what we call a sucker line.
They're in to draw money on the opposite way that
you would normally go. So that's why when you talk
about the Ravens, look, I'm with you.
Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
I you know, it's a rivalry game that's gonna be
a grinded out, hard hitting You know, both teams are
gonna get punished during this game. But when I see
seven and a half even on a road game, yeah,
I like the Ravens.
Speaker 4 (01:43:57):
So I'll tell you also just before we get the
Monty Monci that you'll love this one. So I told
you I love betting Trundley, against against the spread, favors,
all that stuff. It all tells the story. So we're
looking at this Ravens Browns games. You and I both
believe Browns will cover so on betting trends, though they
don't have anything as far as they against the spread,
our favorites are under. What they have is a bunch
of straight ups. Everything is straight up or over. Ravens
(01:44:18):
are twenty seven to ten their last thirty seven games
when straight up when playing as the favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
So people are telling you.
Speaker 4 (01:44:24):
Vegas is telling you the Ravens are gonna win the game,
but we're not giving you any information on against the spread.
Speaker 2 (01:44:32):
When it's in seven and we want you to take
the brown I want you to take the Browns, the Browns,
the Browns.
Speaker 4 (01:44:38):
And you know what, the more we talking right out, Malmonzi,
I'm not short of browns cover now.
Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
Okay, I'm not short of browns cover now. Just I
just again, we've got Dylan Gabriel versus Lamar Jackson. That
is a major mismatch, of course, Ravens are I just
you guys, And it doesn't look like the Browns are
gonna wave last there. Yeah, it's a good thing.
Speaker 8 (01:45:01):
I don't actually put money on anything, so it really
doesn't know.
Speaker 2 (01:45:03):
I'm not a gambler, but I have been around gamblers
my entire life, and I follow these things, which is
why I don't bet my own money. And they lose
more than they win. They exactly losers and liars, right,
isn't that?
Speaker 10 (01:45:15):
It is?
Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:45:17):
All right, let's find out what's trending right now, because
Moncey's all ready to go, right ready, Yes, he's ready
to roll with all the updates on these many games
in this no huddle, our.
Speaker 9 (01:45:25):
Yeah, seven games going on to continue week eleven. It
looks like, thank you, It looks like Jamis Winston just
got a rushing touchdown for the Giants, so they may
be taking the lead if this extra point goes in,
and it does so Giants now lead the Packers twenty
to nineteen.
Speaker 8 (01:45:40):
Halfway through the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:45:42):
Can you imagine if the Ackers lose this game?
Speaker 9 (01:45:44):
I can't, Wow, I can't. I can't imagine what's happening
in Jacksonville.
Speaker 8 (01:45:48):
But here we are.
Speaker 9 (01:45:49):
Jaguars are crushing the Chargers thirty five to six. Also
halfway through.
Speaker 8 (01:45:52):
The fourth quarter.
Speaker 9 (01:45:53):
In that one, still early in the fourth quarter between
the Bears and the Vikings, Chicago is up sixteen to ten. Also,
the Steelers had a pay six and now they're on
top of the Bengals twenty to nine. I missed it,
but apparently Jalen Ramsey threw a punch so he has
been ejected.
Speaker 8 (01:46:07):
I missed it, but apparently that is what has happened.
Speaker 2 (01:46:09):
Okay, Yeah, surprising, not surprising. You guys been all one
this year? Real to Jalen Ramsey's been on one this year. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:46:17):
The Texans got another field goal, so they're up on
the Titans thirteen thirteen to six. Early in the fourth
they're just like the Buccaneers and the Bills where Buffalo
is up thirty one to twenty six. But the Buccaneers
have the ball. They're making their way towards the red zone.
Falcons up on the Panthers twenty one to nineteen. Also
early in the fourth quarter. There but Bryce Young twenty
two of thirty three hundred and two yards and two
(01:46:38):
touchdowns for him. A little NBA news later today Spurs
and Kings. You will not see victor Ian Banyama for
San Antonio. He is out with left calf tightness.
Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
Back to you all right, mon see in the back
and forth game between the Bucks and the Bills, the
Bucks just got in the end zone.
Speaker 1 (01:46:53):
No huddle.
Speaker 2 (01:46:55):
What was that?
Speaker 4 (01:46:55):
Seven lead changes? I believe just seth recording changes. I
hated once update there. I hate that left calf tightness.
Give me a bleeping, bleeping brick feeling a little bit
calf tight?
Speaker 2 (01:47:09):
Wait? So what is you can't massage that?
Speaker 4 (01:47:12):
You can't elect You put some Electrollis's or some electricity
tonight or the warm thin to loosen my calf to
play tonight?
Speaker 2 (01:47:19):
Tightness in November, like the season just started.
Speaker 3 (01:47:23):
I want to get paid, man, I want to get paid.

Speaker 2 (01:47:48):
The Giants, they get the extra points. So the Giants
lead the Packers with Jameis Winston at quarterback twenty to
nineteen seven and a half minutes ago in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
That would be a disaster. And by the way, as
I mentioned, I can turn the fortunes around for anyone.
The Vikings got a defensive stop and the Vikings have
the ball. So as I went on this ran about
JJ McCarthy. It was sixteen to three Bears. It's now
sixteen to ten Bears, and now the Vikings have the
ball eight minutes to go. They will start at their
(01:48:21):
own thirty five yard line. By the way, the Buccaneers
did they go for two?
Speaker 2 (01:48:25):
Tell me they didn't go for two? They probably did.
I know on them too.
Speaker 3 (01:48:29):
If I we get just wing back, well, if they did,
they didn't get it. It's thirty two thirty one Buccaneers
lead the Bills, and indeed the Bucks went for two
and did not get the two point conversion.
Speaker 4 (01:48:39):
If we just went back to this Giants game really quick,
why this is so impressive? But once again, to listen,
they're two and eight going into today, right, they fired
their coach, the quarterbacks hurt, the running backs hurt, the
number one receivers all hurt, and Jameis Winston has actually
played very well today. Sixteen to twenty two, one to
seventy seven, has it turned the ball over? It has
only been sacked one time. Yeah, he's only been sacked
one time. So he's either getting rid of the ball
or you know, he scrambles, got ten yards on on
(01:49:02):
three carries, and he also has a Russian touchdown, so
he's also helping him put points on the board. But
he also has three receivers with three catches, and more
so Hodges has five, Tracy Junior three and wind Wandale
Robinson has three, and it just spread it out. This
job is just so perfect for you know who and
you know how I saw that is when yesterday and
(01:49:23):
the Old Miss game, when they went for was it?
Speaker 2 (01:49:26):
They went for it? Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:49:26):
No, they went for it on fourth and goal. Yeah,
instead of kicking the field goal, they went for it.
Someone hit my phone, They go, why would he do that?
I said, it doesn't matter. He's not going to be
there next year. He's gonna be in New York. So
he's just like Kevin is like, hey man, listen, I'm
going to New York anyway. I'm about to get paid
to go to the NFL. I'm gonna just call the
game how I wanted to call the game and let
you all be the question. How did Lane Keifvin become
(01:49:48):
a hot commodity raider?
Speaker 3 (01:49:49):
Job failed, Tennessee, got booed out of town, USC got
fired on the tarmac, resurrected his career standing there next
to Nick Saban, A lot of guys resurrected of the
career standing next to the NIXT statement as Steve Sarkasian.
Speaker 2 (01:50:02):
Then he gets this, you went down to what was
it Florida? And where was that?
Speaker 10 (01:50:06):
Then?
Speaker 2 (01:50:06):
Where was that Florida school that Lane keivin? Atlanticia? Atlantic? Right?
So he goes down there sort of got himself back
on track. But you know that's a different level. And
he goes to Old Miss, and you know at Old Miss, look,
if you win nine games, you're like a guy, right,
No one expects you to win SEC titles or anything else.
If he goes to Florida, if he goes to one
(01:50:28):
of these other big time schools. So I would agree
with you. If he is going to go, it would
be to the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:50:33):
But why would you trust that Lane Kiffin would be
a successful coach at the NFL level?
Speaker 6 (01:50:38):
I think you're I think you're selling his Alabama OC
a little bit short, really, because before he got there,
their height of quarterback play was AJ mccerron and they
won national champion. But like they won national champions with
him there too, but it was a completely different offense
that was run through the ground. It was a very
ground and pound offense. And when he got there, okay,
so offense co ordinator, not as a head coach.
Speaker 3 (01:51:01):
I mean, if it's a big difference, and then can
he run an offense, great, can he two to a
quarterback great? There is somebody at the NFL level to
be an effective head coach. Is Lane Kifvin.
Speaker 4 (01:51:11):
Strike you as a guy that would be a successful
Does he not deserve a second chance?
Speaker 2 (01:51:14):
Well, nobody deserves anything. It's about hiring the right guy.
Speaker 3 (01:51:18):
You're you're talking about a Giants franchise that actually has
a history.
Speaker 2 (01:51:22):
They've won super Bowls.
Speaker 3 (01:51:23):
They won four Super Bowls, so they've been to the
pinnacle and they're looking to get back on top.
Speaker 2 (01:51:29):
Is he the right guy? Who Lane Kiffin?
Speaker 11 (01:51:33):
Well?
Speaker 2 (01:51:33):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (01:51:34):
I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:51:37):
Starting to hype up Lane Kiffin like he's the answer
to everybody's problem.
Speaker 2 (01:51:41):
Well we're hyping No. I don't think we're hyping him up.
Speaker 4 (01:51:44):
I brought his name up because his quarterback is there,
and you have to have a connection with your quarterback
of the NFL, you have no shot right now. Brian
Dable was supposed to be a quarterback whisperer.
Speaker 2 (01:51:53):
Was he not right?
Speaker 4 (01:51:54):
Was he not given all the credit for so called
turning down Josh Allen's turnovers?
Speaker 2 (01:51:58):
Was he not?
Speaker 4 (01:51:58):
Was he not giving all the credit for get Josh Allen,
the MVP player that we see in front.
Speaker 2 (01:52:02):
Of us, Was he not? Okay? So now that he
did that, he got his own squad and then did
what with it?
Speaker 4 (01:52:08):
His quarterback got paid forty million dollars for fifteen touchdown passes.
But because they simply went on the road and won
a playoff game, it shows you how important that type
of stuff is. To go win on the road and
win a playoff game. Okay, here's the guy, but we
saw once he had to actually put it all together.
Who's to say he can't be a better coach down
the road. A lot of first time coaches fail, and
you have to kind of go take a few steps
(01:52:29):
back to take a few steps he's.
Speaker 2 (01:52:30):
A college coach.
Speaker 3 (01:52:32):
Okay, Well, I mean I know Al Davis hired Lance
Kiffin as he introduced him Lance.
Speaker 2 (01:52:39):
Prematurely.
Speaker 4 (01:52:40):
Are we gonna judge him on the Raiders though? The
Raiders mess everything up? That's like, that's like judging somebody
on Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (01:52:45):
Oh, I don't know. How about Josh McDaniels. What about him?
He was the head coach, he was there. He was
terrible there. Okay, he was terrible also in Denver?
Speaker 4 (01:52:55):
Right, I mean, I mean, certainly I had some success
in Denver, tour him to the playoffs, won a playoff game.
Speaker 2 (01:53:00):
He won a playoff game. The stuff we asked coaches
to do again. Guys.
Speaker 4 (01:53:04):
We asked players and coaches to do certain things, and
when they do them, if we don't like them or
we don't like how it's done, we make every reason.
Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
Why he plays in a getting another opportunity to be
a head.
Speaker 4 (01:53:13):
Coach because he's comfortable. I think, I honestly think he's
very comfortable, and he'd be dumb. He'd be an example
of AIRB enemy, AIRB enemy's biggest mistake in my In
my I wanted him to be a coach. But when
you're when you're winning, man, and you're winning Super Bowls
and you're in you don't have to have the whole
franchise on your head.
Speaker 2 (01:53:32):
He frustration was he was interviewing for jobs, you know,
putting on the should have just stayed put though, he
he but he wasn't a play caller.
Speaker 3 (01:53:40):
Of course, that was also the knock on Peterson. When
he left Kansas City take the Eagles job, he was mocked, mocked.
Speaker 2 (01:53:47):
He's he's not the offensive coordinator and he reads the
offensive coordinator.
Speaker 4 (01:53:50):
If to answer your question about Josh McDaniels, Josh McDaniels
is doing the smart damn thing. Well, he is comfortable.
I'm here, you don't think opportunity to be a head coach.
He probably could be in he probably.
Speaker 2 (01:54:05):
Could, but he'd be smart to just stay put.
Speaker 4 (01:54:07):
Pete Carroll was fired twice by the Patriots and the
jar he'd be smart to just but Pete Carroll's never
been seen as a.
Speaker 2 (01:54:13):
Great So you're you're saying, right now, where was Pe Carroll.
Speaker 4 (01:54:16):
A great coordinator? Where was Pe Carroll a great coordinat
defensive coordinator? I know, but I had I asked where
was he a great coordinator? You'd have to go way
back into right. Well, became three offensive coordinator and that's
just probably where he should stay.
Speaker 2 (01:54:29):
Okay, oh, I agree with that, all right? Us like Spagnola,
you remember when he was a head coach with the
bat But what is he as a defense coordinator? One
of the best there? It is, all right?
Speaker 3 (01:54:39):
Coming up on the other side, which one of these
games is going to go to the finish line? By
the way, the Packers right now, second and seven of
the Giants seventeen yard line, four minutes to go.
Speaker 2 (01:54:48):
This is end zone radio, no huddle hour. Packers to
the line of Scrividge, second down at seven. That's the
Giants seven yard line Green Bay, trending by one.
Speaker 1 (01:54:57):
I've shotgun snapped a lovey bobbles form a and I
lost it right side of the end zone.
Speaker 12 (01:55:01):
Wats of Nick and grabs outside to do to catch
Christian Watson mile.
Speaker 2 (01:55:08):
Mile mid ninety seven three of the game WRNW Packers
Radio Network Packers would add a two point conversion. They
lead the Giants twenty seven to twenty four minutes to
go in the fourth quarter in that game, once again
end zone radio Here, Hartman and Husky with you Fox
Sports Radio Studios. All right, so let's get you updated
(01:55:30):
on the scores. Jack Chards is over thirty five to six.
Well two minute warning, Jags up thirty five six over
the chart.
Speaker 3 (01:55:37):
Game Stealers have the ball and the lead twenty to twelve,
but still nine to forty go. We're talking about games
are going slower today, folks. Normally at this time we're
locking out games. We're not close. Packers, as I mentioned,
lead the Giants twenty seven to twenty four minutes to go.
There Bears with the ball and the lead over the
Vikings sixteen to ten, three and a half minutes to go.
Speaker 2 (01:55:58):
And it's been a struggle for McCard the ball on
that just so you know that just got the ball
back all right.
Speaker 3 (01:56:02):
So they needed McCarthy's ten of twenty four passing this game,
Titans trailing the Texans, but they do have the ball.
It's thirteen to six Texans and Titans have a long
way to go. Three minutes to go there, Bills and Buccaneers.
Speaker 2 (01:56:17):
What a game.
Speaker 3 (01:56:18):
Eight lead changes eight and the Bills get the touchdown
and they have the lead. They went for two, also
missed the.
Speaker 2 (01:56:24):
Two point conversions.
Speaker 3 (01:56:25):
Enough with the two point con versions thirty seven to
thirty two, Bills leaded, but still nine minutes to go
in that game.
Speaker 2 (01:56:32):
There's a lot of time.
Speaker 3 (01:56:33):
And the Panthers have been playing uphill climb against the
Falcons all day. Lone Bryce Young has had a great game,
something for three hundred and thirteen yards a couple of scores.
They have the ball right now again, but still trail
the Falcons by a score of twenty one to nineteen.
There's five and a half minutes to go in that game.
So we got a long way to go, VJ.
Speaker 2 (01:56:52):
In these games, and yes, we are going to have
some very exciting finishes outside of the Chargers, Thank you
very much. Every one of these games is the one
score game.
Speaker 4 (01:57:02):
Fourth and one right here, also two five to twenty
more fourth and one for the Panthers. This should just
be a power run left or power run right. Get
the first down and continue to keep the offense on
the field, which we get power run left, just like
I called. So that's a first down for the Panthers.
Speaker 2 (01:57:14):
Yeah, to keep that going.
Speaker 4 (01:57:15):
We'd love to see Bryce Young like lead his team
down and stick it in the ens on right here
for that young kid man.
Speaker 2 (01:57:20):
Well just for this team period.
Speaker 4 (01:57:22):
You know, they fight hard every week other than the
Buffalo game, right, the Buffalo game.
Speaker 3 (01:57:26):
Got there as not keep the loose sight of the
fact that the Panthers, with a win today, right, are
very much alive in the playoff pictures. So if you
look at the NFC right now for the division, if
the Bucks lose exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
It woke the most six and four.
Speaker 3 (01:57:40):
So the Panthers came into today after that ugly loss
at home to the Saints, still is the nine seed,
all right, So the top seven seeds are in. They're
in the nine seed, very much in the mix right
now as far as the Vikings are concerned. Look, it's
still a sixteen to ten game. Forget everything that's happened
to this point.
Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
Have the ball, No, Minnesota still has No it's fourth down. Oh,
it's down. It was the line there. Okay, so we're
at the two minute warning right now.
Speaker 4 (01:58:10):
I have a question for you guys, because you guys
keep asking about a certain quarterback in this game, but
no one's asked about the quarterback for the Bears in
his day.
Speaker 2 (01:58:16):
We're just trying to wonder how that works.
Speaker 3 (01:58:18):
Well, he hasn't played well. I've been saying that throughout
the show. I've you been listening to what I've been
saying about.
Speaker 7 (01:58:22):
He has played well, but he hasn't thrown two awful
interceptions either.
Speaker 2 (01:58:25):
The numbers the numbers coming out for this game for JJ, I.
Speaker 7 (01:58:28):
Mean no, they were objectively awful interceptions.
Speaker 3 (01:58:30):
JJ McCarthy right now is eleven of twenty seven for
ninety five yards and two interceptions.
Speaker 2 (01:58:35):
That's a nineteen passer.
Speaker 6 (01:58:36):
People are also pointing out that like he can't throw
to his left side in this game at all, and
also there is no touch on the ball whatsoever. It's
it's these small little things that are making to.
Speaker 2 (01:58:46):
Get back to again.
Speaker 3 (01:58:47):
I'm with VG on this one coaching, I mean, why
is it not resonating? Why why can't Kevin o'conney get
on the same page with this quarterback when he was
able to do that with other quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
They're gonna have to get back to the drawing talk.
Speaker 7 (01:58:59):
To he's coaching JJ McCarthy, not nine.
Speaker 2 (01:59:02):
That's what he's gotta do, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:59:04):
So Baker Mayfield now trying to answer back in this
back and forth game between the Bucks and the Bills.
Josh Allen in this game, after a rough start, sixteen
to twenty seven, two hundred and seventy nine yards, three touchdowns.
He's also thrown two picks in this game, Josh Allen
has also run for two scores. Baker Mayfield not much
going on fifteen or twenty three, hundred and fifty yards,
(01:59:27):
fifty four yards, a score, and a pick. He's also
run for thirty nine yards and a score. Both these
quarterbacks have been doing some of their best work actually
running the football rather than passing. However, the Bills defense
actually stopped them. So the Buccaneers are punting with seven
and a half minutes ago with the Bills leading thirty
seven to thirty two, and this is where the Bucks
(01:59:48):
defense better step up, all right?
Speaker 2 (01:59:50):
Also two right here, fourth and one is fourth and
one by another fourth and one for the Panthers clock
moving owt to the three minute mark. We're here once again.
This is just run left and run right, and they
step and it looks like the lineman steps on the
foot of Bryce Young and he falls and doesn't by
the way, that happens all too often, way too often,
(02:00:12):
you know, you know. One of the problems is is
that quarterbacks so rarely line up under center. They're just
not ready for it. It used to be all quarterbacks
lined up under center.
Speaker 3 (02:00:21):
It was the Cowboys under Tom Landry in the seventies
of Roger Sawbek that sort of brought back an old
offense known as the shotgun. But these quarterbacks are not
used to literally standing under the center, and they're not
getting their steps back, and the offensive linemen are not
keep paying attention to where their quarterback is.
Speaker 2 (02:00:36):
And yet he stepped on his foot. Yeah, that's terrible.
All right, exciting finishes are coming up, folks, and.
Speaker 8 (02:00:42):
We are all over.
Speaker 2 (02:00:43):
We will give you every single play around the National
Football League. This is end Zone Radio. All right down
the stretch. We come on some big games around the
National Football League end zone radio. We're in the Fox
Sports Radio studios. Here's where we are right now. One
game that just got really done was the Packers Giants.
Jameis Winston leading the Giants on a drive to try
(02:01:05):
to tie up this game against Green Bay, throws a
pick in the end zone. Game over. Packers had the
ball twenty five seconds left, twenty seven to twenty.
Speaker 3 (02:01:13):
Texans and Titans are tied at thirteen bills with the
ball in the thirty seven to thirty two lead. Panthers
trying to come back from a twenty four to nineteen deficit,
and then there's the Bears and the Vikings.
Speaker 2 (02:01:23):
Let's stay with that game right now.
Speaker 3 (02:01:24):
So as soon as I want a full blown negative
on JJ McCarthy, I even said at the time, look
out it could turn his whole game around. It did
just that, two perfect passes to conclude a drive to
give the Vikings the lead seventeen to sixteen, and then
the Bears ran the kickoff back sixty yards, so they
got themselves into position. Right now, they have a fourth
(02:01:45):
and one at the Minnesota thirty one yard line and
there's four seconds to go. So it's going to come
down to this field goal attempt right now. It's about
a forty eight yard field goal attempt for the Bears
to avoid the embarrassment of blowing a sixteen to three
fourth quarter elite.
Speaker 2 (02:02:03):
So we'll see how this one goes. There was a
missfield goal earlier in this game by the Bears, so
this is anything but automatic. But yeah, and that last
drive to give the Vikings the league, McCarthy threw two
perfect passes, one to set him up, the second on
the touchdown pass, and he was obviously congratulated by his
coaches and players. But then they forgot to cover the
(02:02:24):
kickoff and now the Bears will have a chance VJ
to win this game.
Speaker 4 (02:02:28):
Yeah, it'd be a big win for the Bears, a
big division when you need it, and to stay within
Packers got their dubs. So now you know that's you know,
you know where that stands right here. But I mean,
here's the game and here's the kick right here for
the Bears they need it. I haven't been able to
move the ball much today.
Speaker 2 (02:02:43):
And it is good.
Speaker 3 (02:02:45):
It is so the Vikings seemingly had this game and
the comeback and a special teams complapse and the Bears
come away with a win. That seven wins in the
last eight games. Caleb Williams is shaking his head. He
should he have a good game, just sixteen to thirty
two passing. But for the Vikings to drop to four
and six in that division, that is a brutal loss
(02:03:08):
and could be the end of their hopes of getting
into the postseason. Meanwhile, by the way, the Giants have
not given up until that play, all right, So that
is they have one last play left, So that game
is officially over. Green Bay wins. So let's take a
look at that NFC North right now. So the Packers
get to six three and one, the Bears are at
(02:03:30):
seven and three. The Lions go into the game on
the road against the Eagles at six and three, and
you know, if the Eagles prevail all of a sudden,
the Lions are staring at third place.
Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:03:43):
In that NFC North, on the kick return for the
Bears to let's give let's give credit. It's good blocking.
It was, and it's not that the Vikings special team, No,
it sometimes the other guy is good too. It's good
blocking and it's a good cutback read by the return man.
You see, you have all this clutter. But to you,
you see over here, you got two white jerseys, the
two purple jerseys, and if the two white jerseys just
(02:04:05):
touched the purple jerseys, I could get to a scene
and then turn the jets on and set my team
up for a dub. And that's what he's did. The Bears, though,
are playing with fire like we saw the Commanders with
last year, these.
Speaker 2 (02:04:18):
Last second wins. How long can you keep it going?
Speaker 4 (02:04:21):
How sustainable can it be when you have to put
together a complete game. DeAndre Swift twenty one carries for
ninety yards a day, so you had you had some
stability with the running game on the ground right there.
Speaker 2 (02:04:33):
They just couldn't get the passing game of Roma doonsday.
Speaker 4 (02:04:37):
Who I tell you, guys, I'm just you know, two
for forty one right, one of his catchers were for
twenty four yards, so you know the targets. It's something's
up there with the passing game. But like you said,
you get the dub. And that's why I make sure.
Let's just get credit to the special teams for Chicago, Yeah,
for putting the blocks together to spring their guy to
set up a dub. Can't knock that Josh Allen today,
(02:04:58):
three touchdown passes, three rushing touchdowns now and the Bills
lead the Buccaneers forty four to thirty two. So uh, yeah,
this one now looks like it's very much gonna be
in the Bills tank. Uh, two thirty five to go
on that one.
Speaker 2 (02:05:14):
So uh he used to put a win right here,
two seconds left, all right, so Houston, all right now
and the Texans tied at thirteen?
Speaker 4 (02:05:22):
Did you see the ref running there so he couldn't
take the practice kick? You see the ref that tights
all the time out and he was still gonna go
try to kick it, which.
Speaker 2 (02:05:30):
I've seen that teams are getting you that teams are
getting really up.
Speaker 10 (02:05:34):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (02:05:34):
Was it the Monday night game? Was it the Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:05:36):
The Eagles and Packers game their whole sideline. You can
see Sakwhan Barkley and they go, yo, that's a flag.
He can't wants the whistle blow.
Speaker 2 (02:05:42):
He can't do that. He can't go still, uh.
Speaker 4 (02:05:45):
Take a kick, And usually we used to see that
a lot, right, They try to freeze him and they
would still snap the ball just so let me get
a fill, let me get it.
Speaker 2 (02:05:51):
But the ref. I just thought that was hilarious. How
to repay anyway.
Speaker 4 (02:05:55):
A quick sidebar? Look at these rams unis, yes, sir, no,
what are I'm all.
Speaker 2 (02:06:01):
For this right here?
Speaker 7 (02:06:02):
What color is that?
Speaker 2 (02:06:03):
That's black?
Speaker 4 (02:06:04):
Well they're not black, but they're a blue team. No,
it's black because it's funeral for the Seahawks. So you
got so you gotta dig deep.
Speaker 2 (02:06:13):
Seahawks are not going to win in LA even though
it's a Seahawk actually looks looks like a Navy Yeah, darkness,
this is gonna be a great game.
Speaker 3 (02:06:21):
And the Texans have won the game sixteen to thirteen.
A huge win for the Texans today. They get the
five and five, keep themselves alive in that race in
that division. Meanwhile, the Titans go to one and nine.
One and nine, all right. The other game that we're
watching right now are the Panthers and the Falcons. Cam
Bryce Young the team hold on, hold on, They han't.
Speaker 2 (02:06:51):
Signal, and I don't think I think he might have.
Speaker 4 (02:06:55):
Where this kid right here just made himself a big
contract this year. When you're deal with them, I believe.
Speaker 2 (02:07:02):
So the Panthers get in the end zone, they take
the lead twenty five twenty. Are you go for two?
They're gonna go for two, they have to.
Speaker 3 (02:07:08):
Well, never minute twenty to go, the minute twenty to go,
they're gonna go for two here, but they have taken
the lead still two minutes so actually a minute twenty
so a minute twenty to go right now.
Speaker 2 (02:07:18):
Uh, but this was a Rico Daldo has been an
unbelievable find.
Speaker 3 (02:07:22):
BJ and I both admit we have no recall of
his thousand yard season in Dallas last years.
Speaker 2 (02:07:27):
Just a little swing pass and he is not going
to be denied. Look at that?
Speaker 1 (02:07:32):
Oh was he he was out?
Speaker 2 (02:07:34):
He was out. He was clearly out. No, he is
way out.
Speaker 6 (02:07:41):
I don't know, Jim, that might be a call stands
because you have to like yo, I don't know when
he fully stepped down, I thought I have.
Speaker 2 (02:07:51):
To keep him man that because once the foot comes up. Yeah,
but no, but I don't I think there's gonna look
at this. You hear there's a sliver.
Speaker 4 (02:08:01):
There's a sliver I see between because when he comes buddy,
but he was on my foot comes up.
Speaker 2 (02:08:10):
He got another angle on this one. You got another
comes right here. That left foot comes sli He looks
like he's hitting white. Yeah, yeah, his foot is over.
That's the outer of his foot. The cleat rises up. Guys,
that's the outer of his foot that's not on the white.
It has no touch the white. It's not and if
it's not, well you can't see from that. Angles in
(02:08:33):
the truck comes in a truck that said, go to
camera thirty two. That was bad. You got one hundred
cameras on the field. Give me the angle. Like that's
right on top of his foot on the sideline. So
dad'll is credit for a touchdown. But they are reviewing
the play again, so they are still so the ruling
on the field was a touchdown. What do you got?
You got him out? I think he's got a stand.
(02:08:56):
It's close.
Speaker 3 (02:08:57):
Well, it's hard because when he puts his foot down,
initially you see that sliver right, but as he plant
fully his foot then it looked like it did spread
over the line. So right there, that looks like it's
on the white. I don't I don't think. I don't
see no white come up. I just see the green
come up. I don't see any white.
Speaker 6 (02:09:17):
We're just listening in here, and it sounds like Dean
Blandino said he'd call him out. Here's the review, and
the review is he is out of bounds.
Speaker 3 (02:09:24):
Out of bounds, So they have reversed the call, and
that means that the Panthers he'll have work.
Speaker 2 (02:09:30):
To do, all right, So it looks they better stay
consistent with calls like that.
Speaker 4 (02:09:35):
Then if you're gonna do that, okay, and you're gonna
make that call, I'm just saying, man, just stay consistent
with it.
Speaker 2 (02:09:40):
I just you call it, because we've always heard they've
been told.
Speaker 3 (02:09:43):
Are you wait, are you accusing the league of some
kind of bias against the anthem?
Speaker 2 (02:09:49):
I'm not accusing anybody of anything. Okay, Well, do you
you seem to be indicating there's a reason why they
reversed that call.
Speaker 4 (02:09:56):
You answered the question yourself. You're a smart guy. You're
a Hall of Famer, you've been doing this long as
every You can answer that question.
Speaker 2 (02:10:01):
You have to ask me. The bottom line is they
still plenty of time here, there's a minute twenty three
to go, and they'll see where is the ball right now?
So the ball is at the Atlanta ten ten yard line,
all right? So ten yard line here, down five, so
they need a touchdown first and goal right now with
a minute, get top with one safety. That's where I'm going.
Speaker 3 (02:10:20):
And again this is for the Panthers to stay in
the conversation, to get into the postseason. Let's run it
up the middle of loose three. See, you know what's wrong.
What's wrong with that play is they send a guy motion.
Remember I just said you got one on one at
the top with one safety. Why the hell would you
send a guy in motion? It's gonna bring another defender
then try to run a counter to that same side.
That's a bad schematic play call.
Speaker 4 (02:10:42):
If you're gonna if you're gonna run it that way,
don't bring a guy over their in motion because it
brings another defender and he came right up through the
line untouched.
Speaker 2 (02:10:50):
And what is that a three yard loss to?
Speaker 3 (02:10:52):
By the way, remember that Steeler Bengal game out close?
It was thirty four to twelve. Steelers are leading right now?
Did they pull away four to twelve? Number two minutes
to go? The Steelers are going to get to six
and four still lead that division. Regards to what the
Ravens do later on today.
Speaker 2 (02:11:07):
All right, so.
Speaker 3 (02:11:10):
We've got the Bills pretty much wrapping up their game
right now. So the Bills are gonna come away with
winners today over the Bucks. So look at it that
NFC South Bucks fall to six and four. And this
is why this is so big for Carolina right now.
Speaker 2 (02:11:28):
They need to win this game.
Speaker 3 (02:11:30):
With Tampa losing minute nineteen and a go second and goal.
Now from the thirteen, they go backwards. They need to
go forward here to get rid of it. Be and
he throws it away.
Speaker 4 (02:11:40):
No flag, Yeah, that's fine though, just put it. Listen,
if my guy can't get it, nobody can get it.
Just throw If you got to throw it to the sideline,
let your guy go make a play. Don't throw it
inside and let the corner undercut it and pick it off.
Speaker 3 (02:11:52):
By the way, games just underway, the forty nine Ers
return the kickoff, opening kickoff for a touchdown because I
see sixteen seconds into the game forty nine and it's
leading seven to nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:12:01):
Well that was fast.
Speaker 3 (02:12:02):
Rams, by the way, on their opening drive have a
first down at the Seattle seventeen yard line, so they're
going right down the field as well. Kyran Williams had
a thirty yard run to set up that opening drive
for the Rams. All right, third down and goal from
the thirteen yard line, Panthers trying to get into the
end zone. They got trips right, and.
Speaker 2 (02:12:21):
I would get rid of us quick too. It's a
good come. Ryce Young is gonna run. No, he's gonna
poll and it's got pathers And that's what you do.
You start to run, you draw the defense.
Speaker 3 (02:12:32):
McMillan, the rookie, rookie right out of Arizona Wildcat, and
that is it that will give them the lead.
Speaker 2 (02:12:38):
Twenty five to twenty four minute eight to go for
the Panthers and they will go to the yards passing today.
Yeah for b wif I'm not mistaken, Yeah, he had
three fifty four.
Speaker 4 (02:12:49):
This is why you don't write quarterbacks all because remember
last year, everybody was ready to get rid of and
Bryce Young wasn't the guy.
Speaker 2 (02:12:54):
I remember hearing that. This is why you just don't
write quarterbacks. Okay, wait a hold line, I see celebrating
going on. What's what's the c stee?
Speaker 7 (02:13:00):
Would you like to know what happened in in Arizona?
Speaker 2 (02:13:02):
Yeah? What have?
Speaker 7 (02:13:03):
They returned the kickoff for ninety nine yards? Okay, so
so Christian McCaffrey then punch it in, oh icy.
Speaker 2 (02:13:08):
A ninety nine yard kick and did not get in
the end zone. That is somebody.
Speaker 3 (02:13:14):
Yeah you know what that by the way, guys, that
has to at the very least tie a record. By
the way, the two point conversion is good for the Panthers,
you see that put right there by. That has to
be at the very least ties a record for the
longest non scoring play in the history of the NFL.
Speaker 2 (02:13:30):
You can't have a longer non scoring play than ninety
nine yards, not unless you get an interception in the
end zone and you try to return it. Well, you can't,
but only means ninety nine No, no, no.
Speaker 4 (02:13:40):
No, they count the yard inception returns, don't And we
have a one eight or one o one nine. Yes,
it's like right at the back of the end zone,
someone has a one o nine.
Speaker 2 (02:13:50):
I know. It's like a ninety nine yard kickoff returned
down at the one to touchdown right there. What's happening
with this Rams team right now? They have a first down,
we have remove it. Yeah, they remove here there, so
they're down to the they have a fourth down and
they're going for love it fourth and one right now.
The opening drive and a little play action Matthew Stafford. Nothing, Well,
(02:14:15):
the thing is this number one.
Speaker 4 (02:14:16):
It's a great recognition by Seattle and and then Stafford
know that's on him, but I don't once again, I
don't like this play call fourth and one.
Speaker 2 (02:14:24):
You you got they look awful.
Speaker 7 (02:14:28):
The weird thing there is the they went for it
on fourth and one. They had a designed run to
Pukakua and he was going to pick it up, but
then they challenged the spot on the previous call and
it should have gotten it. It looked like Williams speck
up the first down, but they didn't call it.
Speaker 4 (02:14:42):
You know what a challenge on the first drive in
the first quarter. I go for it on fourth and
one where.
Speaker 3 (02:14:49):
They were hold on a second, hit hold on a second.
We just got a big kickoff return for the Falcons.
So they're down three and they're still a minute to go.
Speaker 2 (02:14:58):
Is up with Specialty.
Speaker 6 (02:14:59):
Yet they take the win on a field goal because
the Panthers went for two, right but they can.
Speaker 2 (02:15:05):
Tie the game senate. So they are near midfield with
a minute to go right now, and the Falcons are
not done yet, so we'll see what they con hurt.
Speaker 4 (02:15:15):
Our Kurt, my man, my man to the left, my
Hall of Famer to the left. Why didn't you trade
it where you could play about.
Speaker 2 (02:15:21):
Eight weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (02:15:22):
Her Cousins is in for the injured Michael Pennix Junior.
And by the way, by the way, the Falcons have
two timeouts left, so unless he absolutely implodes here, there's
a complete pass out of bounds, no time out needed.
All of a sudden, they are in Panthers terror.
Speaker 4 (02:15:40):
Dem push off not called and the whole sideline seed.
That's a big push off by the receiver.
Speaker 2 (02:15:46):
How often they called offensive?
Speaker 4 (02:15:47):
And that I was about to say that I see
that game to game and the competition committee that is
that's over the officials this off season.
Speaker 2 (02:15:55):
They have to revisit that big receivers have been doing
it forever. You ever ever watched Calvin Johns and play
back in the day.
Speaker 4 (02:16:01):
Well, Michael Lover was famous for it too. Well, Michael
Levy made it look so smooth, though I can't front
I can't find he did.
Speaker 2 (02:16:06):
So that means they are now into Uh. They still
got a ways to go.
Speaker 3 (02:16:10):
They need about another ten yards for a legitimate but
they can throw down the middle because they have timeouts
and there's a pass all the way down the thirty
one yard line. So they are definitely in field goal position.
Now Bjon Robinson on the receiving look at Kirk, like, look.
Speaker 2 (02:16:24):
At me, look at me, look at me. Kirk's not
done yet.
Speaker 1 (02:16:32):
Just do a pick.
Speaker 2 (02:16:32):
Oh boy, oh boy, that's good.
Speaker 3 (02:16:34):
The question with Sam Donald all right, after Kirk Cousins
was celebrating, he gets the pass knocked down, all right,
So after the Rams fail on fourth and one, Sam
Donald throws an interception.
Speaker 2 (02:16:44):
That's the big question moving forward for Sam Donald is
in a huge game and there's everything writing first place
obviously in the NFC West writing on this game.
Speaker 3 (02:16:53):
Can he deliver? And he threw a pass off the
back foot, falling backwards, big interception.
Speaker 4 (02:16:58):
But what did I say week about Sam Donald? But
I mean, I'm not trying it's not a victory. I'm
just just he's been playing well. I'm not trying to
say he's been playing great this year. But the Sam
with a tug on the jersey, winning it when it
matters the most, Like that's a bad throw, but when
it matters the most, he'll he'll give it up.
Speaker 2 (02:17:18):
He just will. It's always been he was that at
s C.
Speaker 4 (02:17:21):
He's been that when it's when it's matters the most,
Sam Donald, He'll he'll fall back, man, He'll give it up.
Speaker 2 (02:17:27):
It'll look good for a while. But hopefully the rest
of the Seattle team have around him. He's been playing great. Yeah,
like he's not. They don't need him to win games
because that defense is out and he's plays like that
will lose you games, especially on the road against good teams.
Speaker 4 (02:17:45):
Rife gets so good, so fast, though, honestly, because they
were terrible two years ago, a couple of years ago,
and they were Yeah, how does.
Speaker 7 (02:17:51):
I would expect you to have the answer?
Speaker 2 (02:17:52):
How did know?
Speaker 7 (02:17:53):
Well, well, you of course, But that's really the answer.
Speaker 2 (02:17:57):
That's what it is.
Speaker 7 (02:17:57):
That's the future of defense in the NFL. It's that
the Michigan the jesse mentor and by.
Speaker 14 (02:18:03):
The way, speaking at that defense kind of there nor
they should have They just stuffed like horn the Michigan
start and went nowhere, and the Seahawks defense is not
going to give up this automatic touchdown that easily.
Speaker 2 (02:18:15):
Look at this penetration. Yeah, and they stuff them at
the line right there. So the Rams now have a
third in goal after the interception of taking the ball
to the three yard line. Look at that corn was
right there. Oh no, when you got it? When you
have to jump cut in the backfield, that's never a
good sign. Yeah, that's just for Kirk Cousins. What are
they going to do? So, Kirk Cousins, what happened? I
went deep? I thought this might have been pi here
(02:18:37):
these these two were getting tangled up.
Speaker 3 (02:18:38):
Oh and another ride going absolutely no. Look at the
Seahawks are just ganked white jerseys. They just ate up
the Rams offensive line, all right, So they'll be lining
up for the field goal.
Speaker 2 (02:18:50):
Looks so we are going to.
Speaker 3 (02:18:51):
Get a field goal attempt here from the Falcons to
try to tie this game. There's twenty one seconds left far.
This is about a forty mid forty what we look
in forty five yard field goal attempt for Atlanta right now,
tie this game and send it to overtime.
Speaker 2 (02:19:07):
You've done this in a few weeks. Make a miss,
what you got He's gonna make this? I got miss? Okay,
no problem, and the picture is good all right, sixteen
seconds to go. We're all tied. All right. We'll continue
on with our coverage. Are these very exciting games around?
This is end Zone Radio.
Speaker 12 (02:19:26):
It's fourth down and goal from just inside the two
after the Kitchen's interception, DRAMs looking to cash it in.
Speaker 2 (02:19:32):
It's a gun run right side.
Speaker 1 (02:19:37):
Karen Williams punches it in. Punch down La on fourth
end goal.
Speaker 2 (02:19:43):
That's the Rams radio network. So the Rams on fourth
down go for it again.
Speaker 3 (02:19:47):
This time they get the score, take the early seven
to nothing lead over the Seahawks once getting end zone
radio here Steve Harvin VJ. Husky with you as we
now take it in the afternoon games including well, first
of all, we still have overtime going on between the
Falcons and the Panthers, so we had nine minutes to
go in the overtime.
Speaker 4 (02:20:09):
And Black going to play right now. Nice swing pass
to Beijon picked up a first down, but it looks
like this is coming back. So nine overtime, twenty seven
to twenty seven, they're back in their back. I Llegal
Lineman downfield all right.
Speaker 3 (02:20:22):
Opening drive of the Broncos Chiefs game. Huge game for
the Chiefs. They have to win this game or their
run of AFC West championships would pretty much be extinguished.
Bow Nicks got sacked on the first play of the game,
but he just threw for a first down. By the
way they threw an interesting stat he has thrown at
(02:20:42):
least one touchdown pass in eighteen consecutive games. That is
the second longest current streak. The only quarterback with a
longer streak is Lamar Jackson as far as consecutive games
played with at least one touchdown pass currently.
Speaker 4 (02:20:59):
Currently right now, so too would have been a really
cool moment, my man, Cooper Cup coops having to party.
Uh just caught what seemed to have been a touchdown pass,
but the ball skipped up into his arms and he
will They would now have to probably settle Seattle. That
is fourth guys, a fourth and eight would have been
a pretty cool moment to come back.
Speaker 2 (02:21:17):
Well, the thing about Cooper Cup is he had a
year for the Ages.
Speaker 3 (02:21:20):
I mean literally probably one of the top five receiving
years in the history of the National Football Like, I mean,
what more, you was Offensive Player of the Year, Super
Bowl MVP, won the Triple Crown, you know, leading in
the league and receiving receptions, yards and touchdowns. But unfortunately
for him, there's just been way too many injuries over
the course of his career.
Speaker 2 (02:21:37):
Yeah, question on this go.
Speaker 4 (02:21:39):
I want to go back to this game. You said
this is a must win for the Chiefs. Four disagree.
Speaker 2 (02:21:47):
Really, now you're a believer in the Chargers, you know,
just hit let me hear me out.
Speaker 4 (02:21:50):
Okay, this is a much bigger must win for the
Broncos because we all agree they are not what their
records says they are. No, they are with the record says,
I don't say they are eighty two. Yeah, but you
just called them possibly. We don't have them in my
top five, right, we don't.
Speaker 2 (02:22:10):
So neither one of us do. Neither one of us
believes that if the Broncos lose, they're still in the
play doesn't matter. See, that doesn't matter because it's no Let.
Speaker 4 (02:22:19):
Me explain, let me, let me lay in, brother, even
where there are right now, do you have faith that
if they get into the playoffs they could they could
make a run?
Speaker 2 (02:22:31):
No? Well no, we're in week eleven, right, There's a
long way to go before the playoffs. I know that.
And we're also in one in two years of people's careers,
their careers. I remember Tom Brady's first year with the Buccaneers.
They went into the bye week, they were like completely discombobulated.
Late in the season. They came out of the bid,
never lost another not. I don't think you're understanding why
(02:22:53):
I'm saying this is so.
Speaker 3 (02:22:54):
Big that passed by bo Nicks right there for first down. Yeah, well, yeah,
this is one of the best defenses in a league.
Speaker 4 (02:23:00):
Right, it is well fourth in points allowed, only a
seventeen point six or something like that.
Speaker 3 (02:23:04):
It's suspecting the game and the Broncos are already in
Chiefs territory.
Speaker 2 (02:23:09):
Let me, let me, let me finish. This is not
a big game for the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (02:23:12):
I didn't say that. I just said I disagree where
it's a must win. You said it's a must win
for the Chiefs. I disagree with that if they want
to win the AFC West. I believe it's a more
must win for the Broncos because we don't believe in
the Broncos, and if you get this win, it may
change some of their minds if the.
Speaker 2 (02:23:29):
Chiefs come in here and win this damn game. As
bad as there this game, you're acting like it already.
Speaker 1 (02:23:37):
Toy is rolling.
Speaker 2 (02:23:39):
In on the Chiefs on this game.
Speaker 4 (02:23:40):
Yeah, but we already know how vegas works, So let'sten
We're not let's not play that cargo. We already know
how vegas work. Yes, their favorite should they be Yes, No, stop, Steve,
it's Patrick.
Speaker 2 (02:23:51):
I want to go against it. I get it, I
get it.
Speaker 4 (02:23:53):
But I'm just telling you, in my opinion, this is
a much bigger game for Denver because people are still
scratching their head about different.
Speaker 2 (02:24:00):
The Chiefs are team first day.
Speaker 4 (02:24:03):
The Chiefs are a team that you don't want to
see in the playoffs because you've seen them.
Speaker 2 (02:24:07):
Do it time and time again. And you can go
Panthers racist. Right now, Panthers ruddy, runny running and the.
Speaker 3 (02:24:13):
Panthers are down all the way inside the fifteen yards,
big passing play with eight minutes to go in the overtime.
Speaker 2 (02:24:19):
So nice, Panthers. Well this is you talked about a
musk game. This is a must game for the Panthers,
must game for the Panthers. No, no, no, what is
your one?
Speaker 4 (02:24:29):
You want to see the playoffs? No, listen, listen, just
let me let me explain and stop jumping in. If
the Bucks lost today, Okay, I'm sorry, somebody else in
this division. The Saints and Saints are on a bio
believe Saints aren't playing, but the Bucks already lost today.
That's why you you'd never want to lose. But if
you somehow did, you're not out of it because everybody
in front of you and your division is still losing,
(02:24:51):
so you're still in it. Trust me, these conversations I
had within locker rooms with their team meetings and stuff
like hey guys, we're still right there.
Speaker 2 (02:24:58):
We still got it.
Speaker 4 (02:24:59):
But even in the game. Back to the Chiefs and Broncos.
The reason why this is a much the Chiefs. If
they lose this game, they go to five and five,
there will still be people that say the Chiefs got
a shot. They won't write the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (02:25:11):
Saw all right, slow down for a second, because let's
find out what is trending right now.
Speaker 2 (02:25:16):
Look who is patiently waiting right now to jump in
to give us all again? Five months? So how are
your fantasy teams doing today?
Speaker 8 (02:25:25):
You know, I have Josh Allen Big Day.
Speaker 2 (02:25:28):
Three touchdowns, three rush touch.
Speaker 8 (02:25:30):
Times on standard.
Speaker 9 (02:25:31):
I looked at standard and he gave me like forty three,
which yeah, so I don't know if six touchdowns, yes,
he was responsible for six touchdowns at two interceptions for the.
Speaker 2 (02:25:39):
People all week long, ripping Josh Allen the MVP, Yes, yes.
Speaker 9 (02:25:43):
No, definitely, And you and I talked about this game
yesterday we did and I thought, you know what the
Bucks they did.
Speaker 4 (02:25:49):
At that Dolphins game. People, way, he was bad Monday
they fasted him.
Speaker 8 (02:25:54):
It was bad.
Speaker 9 (02:25:55):
It was a bad showing by the Bills against Miami.
But we talked about this Buccaneers Bills.
Speaker 2 (02:26:00):
I you know, oh Nicks threw a pass that should
have been picked off. Like what was that? Oh, it
wasn't him. It was a throw back to Nicks even
a worst play.
Speaker 8 (02:26:09):
Even a worse play.
Speaker 9 (02:26:10):
Yeah, but yes, the Bills did beat the Buccaneers. Forty
four to thirty two was the final score. We'll start
with the game's going on right now. Panthers and Falcons
are an over time Panthers.
Speaker 10 (02:26:19):
Have the ball.
Speaker 9 (02:26:20):
If they score, it's over the so we'll see they're
literally knocking on the door.
Speaker 8 (02:26:24):
To score rams in the end zone.
Speaker 9 (02:26:25):
Kyron Williams with the rushing touchdowns, so they're leading the
Seahawks seven three halfway through the first quarter. Also, the
forty nine Ers and Cardinals are halfway through the first quarter.
Cardinals got in the end zone Bam Night with a
rushing touchdown, but the forty nine Ers are still up
thirteen to seven. Ravens and Browns just got underway. Their
scoreless Chiefs and Broncos are scoreless. But the Broncos are
in the red zone. They're knocking on the door to score.
(02:26:47):
The Texans walked it off with the field goal to
beat the Titans sixteen to thirteen. Also, Titans wide receiver
Calvin Ridley broke his fibula. He is done for the season.
Bears wanted on a field goal nineteen to seven against
the Vikings. Jaguars crushed the Chargers thirty five to six.
Steelers outscored the Bengals thirty four to twelve. Packers top
the Giants twenty seven to twenty. And I see you celebrating.
(02:27:10):
Is it official?
Speaker 2 (02:27:11):
Noye happened? Weird just happened on the games.
Speaker 3 (02:27:14):
So this field goal attempt to win the game, they
had no officials talking about it.
Speaker 8 (02:27:19):
They are still talking about it.
Speaker 2 (02:27:21):
Clearly they never signaled good and they're talking to each other.
They are talking.
Speaker 8 (02:27:27):
That's weird, right, And.
Speaker 2 (02:27:28):
Raheem Morris is like, what the hell's.
Speaker 4 (02:27:30):
Going on on?
Speaker 2 (02:27:31):
You got photographers on the field everybody.
Speaker 8 (02:27:32):
I think they officially changed the score.
Speaker 2 (02:27:34):
So they did twenty seven.
Speaker 5 (02:27:36):
That was that was weird.
Speaker 8 (02:27:38):
I don't know, because it's like a field goal.
Speaker 2 (02:27:40):
But the Panthers end up winning this game thirty to
twenty seven. Yeah, what was the compress and sweeping the Falcons?
They never actually neither official actually called a good Do
not tell? It's clearly is yeah it was. Yeah, Oh no,
it's great. It looked like it. But it looked at
(02:28:02):
it right right? Yeah, well that's crazy all right. Anyway,
Panthers get the win.
Speaker 8 (02:28:06):
Panthers get the win. I also have Teddor Roald McMillan,
who had a great game.
Speaker 4 (02:28:09):
Yes he did, all right, So there you go. Panthers
get to six and five. All right, so there's Broncos
to a field goal to by the way, on they
draw Broncos.
Speaker 3 (02:28:19):
Okay, so rams still leave the Seahawks seven to three,
so the Seahawks to get a field goal once again.
By the way, when the Fox Sports Radio studios don't
forget after the show, our podcast is going up. So

(02:28:41):
Radio wherever you get your podcasts, and you'll see today's
show posted right after we get off the air. So
forty nine Ers leave the Cardinals thirteen to nothing, rams
over the Seahawks seven to three.
Speaker 2 (02:28:52):
Uh and uh we got the Ravens and.
Speaker 7 (02:28:55):
Browns on this.
Speaker 4 (02:28:58):
You have the game start there, no score early that
the Cardinals stuck and win it. So it's thirteen to seven.
Oh yeah, exactly. So the Cardinals stuck on it and
a great I think there's a punt return right here,
great part return right now to set them up in
great field position. And the Cardinals are going to send
Jacoby Brissett back out here against this Niners defense. Niners
started off really aggressive, fast and angry, and almost like
the Steelers. They've kind of slowed down a little bit
(02:29:20):
and letting this Cardinal team hang around.
Speaker 3 (02:29:22):
All right, So as these games are underway, let's take
a look at what's happening tonight.
Speaker 2 (02:29:26):
Lions on the road against the Egos.
Speaker 3 (02:29:29):
With all due respect to us, and we should turn
to our Allons insider and Eagles Insider. A battle between
the two men on the other side.
Speaker 2 (02:29:38):
All right, soom Lions and the Eagles. So let's hear
a conversation between Bo and Chris on tonight's matchup between
the Lions and the Eagles. Boys start with you.
Speaker 7 (02:29:48):
There's not much of a conversation because I think we
both agree with how this game is going to go tonight.
I think even with the litany of injuries that the
Lions have, I don't think you can have the week
that Philadelphia had in terms of everything going going on
outside of the building and come out and play a
good game tonight. So I think the Lions are going
to win probably by ten.
Speaker 2 (02:30:07):
Wow. Yeah, are you green? Chris?
Speaker 6 (02:30:09):
This is a walkover win on the road against the Eagles.
There's a couple things that concern me about the Lions.
Speaker 2 (02:30:14):
One's the injury.
Speaker 6 (02:30:15):
I know, Sam Laporta just went to the ir The
bigger thing is just going to be the state of
that defense, that offensive line, like, because we saw a
couple of weeks ago how they handled up Brian Flores's
defense coming up the middle against them, and whatever the
Eagles are right now, they still have a good, you know,
defensive front.
Speaker 2 (02:30:31):
That worries me.
Speaker 6 (02:30:33):
The thing I want to keep an eye on is
the big story from this week with the Lions was
that Dan Campbell took over play calling, which was like
a big deal and everyone thought it looked a lot better,
and I think I agree. But also it was against
a commander's defense that is absolutely depleted. So I dude,
do I expect the Lions offense to roll to do
better here?
Speaker 4 (02:30:51):
I do.
Speaker 6 (02:30:51):
I think the Eagles, though present them more challenges. I
still like the Lions to win this game. I just
this is this is a tough this is just a
tough sledding. But yeah, I'm with bo. I think I'm
not going to say ten points, but I think the
Lions are going to have this comfortable.
Speaker 2 (02:31:04):
All right.
Speaker 3 (02:31:04):
So VJ, we just heard it on the other side,
both of them predicting the Eagles lose at home prime
time against the Lions.
Speaker 2 (02:31:14):
Are you in lockstep with them that the Lions.
Speaker 3 (02:31:17):
They don't seem to even have much concern about the
Lions coming out on top. It's just a matter of
how badly will the Lions win at Philadelphia.
Speaker 4 (02:31:26):
Well, you've seen my picks here, man, I don't change anything.
I took the I like the two one and a
half point favorite for the Eagles at home. I think
this is the perfect storm game. With all this stuff
we've been hearing this week, I think this is a
perfect situation for the Eagles to come out play unified team,
camaraderie football and and kind of quiet people down. We've
seen this a lot in football, where you get a
(02:31:46):
team get a lot of off the field talk and
a lot of like, honestly, I know they I know. Listen,
I'll be honest. The Dolphins haven't really beating anybody. But
but since Tua went to the podium and got killed
for so called calling out his coach and d d
D they won three in a row like sometimes something,
and they trade Jlen for like they get some stuff
out of there. I think this is a perfect opportunity
(02:32:08):
on national team. Not think it'll be a close game.
I think the line's got weapons, the lines will put
up points. This isn't gonna be thirty eight to ten or.
Speaker 2 (02:32:14):
Nothing like that.
Speaker 4 (02:32:15):
But I would I would like to go on the
side of Hey, sometimes you need a ruffle, a few
little feathers in your own home to get your family
to act right. And people that's got families, they know
people that's got families. No, somebody, am I right or wrong?
I am I right or wrong?
Speaker 2 (02:32:30):
Well, I understand what you're saying. I'm not leaning out
away here.
Speaker 3 (02:32:34):
Although the two and a half points spread. Man this
whole thing, I think, I think there could literally be
a one point game. It could be that kind of
a game.
Speaker 8 (02:32:42):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:32:42):
They come down to a single play, by the way,
the Rams once again find themselves right on the doorstep
of scoring again.
Speaker 2 (02:32:51):
But the Seahawks defense they have like the best you know,
ball on the one yard line defense I've seen this year.
Speaker 3 (02:32:59):
They really find a way to shut him down. Rams
did get a touchdown earlier around. But the Rams right
now trying to extend their lead, which right now is
seven to three over the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (02:33:11):
Ravens.
Speaker 3 (02:33:12):
Browns no score, but the Ravens have a first and
goal at the four yard line, so they are looking
to get into the end zone first in that game.
Speaker 4 (02:33:21):
What's the over under I'm gonna look at. I want
to see the over under for A J. Brown's perceiving
yards for tonight. I don't know, I'm gonna yeah, I'm
gonna check it out. I just because I just wanted
to finish this on my point of this.
Speaker 2 (02:33:31):
Let me say, let me give you a number. I'll
give you fifty. Would you take over under? Over? Really?
Speaker 4 (02:33:35):
I do guys, And I'm being honest. I'm not trying
to be fine this. Sometimes we see this in the
nf He's not averaging that all the time. I know
he's not averaging that. That's why I ask the question.
We see this in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (02:33:46):
All the time. Touchdown rams and that is Adams his
tenth touchdown seventh in the last four weeks.
Speaker 4 (02:33:55):
Flag though there's a flat what's the flag on? Okay,
let's see what the flag is right now? I don't
and they haven't. They haven't put up the points yet.
Speaker 2 (02:34:02):
I haven't seen it, and I don't see nobody is
running off the field, So it looks it's against to
see how but I just we see this a bunch
of times. It was on the defense, penalty is declined, the.
Speaker 4 (02:34:12):
Team has a little turmoil, so and they get the
perfect opportunity to come out and and and quiet people up.
I will take the Eagles, and not only that, I'll
take them to cover the two and a half. I
took the game at last night.
Speaker 7 (02:34:25):
It's four and a half receptions for Brown tonight?
Speaker 2 (02:34:28):
Is that really? What's the what's the yards?
Speaker 7 (02:34:30):
Sixty two and a half?
Speaker 2 (02:34:31):
Sixty two and a half? Wow? Okay, sixty two and
a half at four catches. Yeah, you're taking over.
Speaker 4 (02:34:39):
You want to go, you want to go two leads bows,
Let's go a two leaders boy, NOA.
Speaker 2 (02:34:43):
I agree with you.
Speaker 7 (02:34:43):
I think the Eagles offense to open the game should
do nothing but force.
Speaker 2 (02:34:48):
The ballot for the Broncos backhus there's the flas coming
back took out for the Broncos. Look at there's they're
they're celebrating.
Speaker 4 (02:34:57):
Like that, celebrating. What's a you gotta tell the Hall
of Famer man Celebrady is because this guy troll. I
won't tell you, honestly, quick sidebar. You one of the
best trollers I've ever worked with.
Speaker 2 (02:35:06):
I love to I know you. See that's the thing.
I'm glad you are sad it because you act like
you don't like doing it. You know, I love you, VJ.
Speaker 4 (02:35:12):
I know you.
Speaker 2 (02:35:14):
I know what because you're passionate about things you've met.
And that's why that's easy. I walk out of here
with I'll say in Bosto, Tom, I'm not saying about it.
Nobody today taking this for you guys. All right, we'll
look what that flag is will continue on. This is
end Zone Radio.
Speaker 7 (02:35:30):
It's a twenty eight yarder for the win.
Speaker 12 (02:35:32):
JJ the snap, Martin puts it down, Fitzgerald swings the leg,
the kick is good, and the Panthers walk it off
and over time again in Atlanta. Your final score Carolina thirty,
Atlanta twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (02:35:49):
Ryan Fitzgerald the game win a kick.
Speaker 3 (02:35:52):
Ninety ninety seven the Fox Panthers Radio Network. Big win
for the Panthers today, a must win for them as
they keep their playoff hopes alive. So that game in
the books, and right now here in the Fox Sports
Radio studios, quick update, Rams lead the Seahawks fourteen to three.
Speaker 2 (02:36:09):
Rams are looking good right now. They were my number
one team of my Power five. VJ had him at
number two, so we're both on the Rams bandwagon right now.
Forty nine Ers scored again. Christian McCaffrey got into the
end zone for a second time. Ravens with an early
three to nothing lead over the Browns. But the Browns
right now are threatening as they have the ball at
(02:36:30):
the fourteen yard line of the Ravens and surprising you
you hate the Ravens defense, I do.
Speaker 3 (02:36:37):
I mean, there's not much to brag about with the
Ravens defense. Yeah, So we'll see if Dylan Gabriel can
get it into the end zone. And they're not going
to do it with that play. Broncos, by the way,
had to settle for another field goal, So at least
statistically it's been an old Broncos game. Chiefs haven't had
a lot to be excited about going against a very
good Broncos defense. Unfortunately for the Broncos, they can't get
(02:37:00):
the ball in the end so on, so.
Speaker 2 (02:37:01):
Field goals do not hold up normally against the Kansas
City Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (02:37:06):
Two big names out of his game too, No Pachako,
he's out and then also too defensive reigning Defensive Player
of the Year. One of my favorite players is his
dad played from my Dolphins.
Speaker 2 (02:37:14):
I love him.
Speaker 4 (02:37:15):
Her Tan is also out too, so to two major
names out his game. But you're right, field goals are
not good to like right now, you're one big play
from being down a point. Yeah, exactly, You've done and
you've controlled the game all right. By the way, I
want to thank our crew today. We have literally the legendary.
Speaker 2 (02:37:32):
Crew is what they are, you know, starting with the
great Manci Belanias of course, keeping us up to eight
on all the happenings around the league while she has
been eating fruit, a lot of fruit today. Are you
feeling better with all your fruit today?
Speaker 7 (02:37:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:37:44):
She is, okay, very good. The man on the board,
chairman of the board himself, Chris Purfett, is, yes, doing
a great job feeling good about his Lions tonight.
Speaker 1 (02:37:53):
Allen good.
Speaker 6 (02:37:53):
I think you guys, like I understand why the story
is on the Eagles offense, but I really do think
this game is going to be decided more by what
like the Eagles defense does and what the Lions offense does,
because like that's ultimately been the story of the entire
Like look and Meason for the Lions is can you
get the offense rolling?
Speaker 2 (02:38:09):
Yes? No, And it's very easy to stop them if
you have the one thing that stops them.
Speaker 4 (02:38:14):
That's why, and that's why it'll go different because the
storyline is that should be the storyline.
Speaker 2 (02:38:19):
But that's just not how the NFL it's been working out. Man.
Speaker 6 (02:38:22):
I mean, they they've had to do the injuries, they've
had to swap personnel around. But like again, the big
X factor in all this is, like Dan Campbell took
over play calling, how does that change? We saw it
went very well against the Commanders. We think it'll hold
up against the Eagles. But we have to say, I
think the bigger storyline going to the game is a J.
Speaker 2 (02:38:36):
Brown. I don't think is Dan. It's a big storyline.
It's a big storyline, but I'm just saying it's not
the deciding factor in this.
Speaker 3 (02:38:41):
And of course Bo Benson, who agrees with you as
far as the Lions to concern against his Eagles. He's
decked out and his Eagles green today, but not believing
in the Eagles.
Speaker 7 (02:38:49):
Did you guys see the World Series trophy as it's
so far today?
Speaker 2 (02:38:52):
The World Series Trophy?
Speaker 7 (02:38:53):
Yeah, they brought it out at so far today, did
they really like?
Speaker 6 (02:38:56):
He?
Speaker 7 (02:38:56):
Guess which Dodgers showed up?
Speaker 2 (02:38:59):
Blake's now. I believe that the Dodgers didn't win it
because he would have been the goat.
Speaker 7 (02:39:04):
He's a major rec League game later tonight, Steve, so really, yeah,
he might show He's bound to show up anywhere.
Speaker 2 (02:39:10):
Ins I interviewed when Blake. When Blake Snow came to
San Diego with the Padres, we did a number of
interviews with him. He is a he's a I love him.
Speaker 4 (02:39:18):
If I ever said if I were a pro athlete,
I want a championship for like the first month.
Speaker 2 (02:39:24):
I'm like, real to I'm showing my ass.
Speaker 7 (02:39:26):
Oh yeah, I mean everyone is. Everyone's buying you drinks.
Speaker 2 (02:39:29):
You're not paying for you the ticket today, he pay
for that ticket today, he pay for none of that.
I'm showing, man.
Speaker 4 (02:39:37):
I want Boa on and y'all know Boa and Sunset
Boulevard to Steak. I want Boa, I want all the
restaurants I went. Man, I'm showing up to everything well
and by the way.
Speaker 3 (02:39:47):
And the point is, if you're a business in Los Angeles,
just using the Dodgers as an example, and you were
to refuse right a member of the World champions anything right,
you're gonna pay the price.
Speaker 2 (02:40:02):
Kershaw shouldn't have to buy nothing in this town.
Speaker 4 (02:40:04):
Look a house, a car, I'll get Okay, Lamborghini's not
just giving you one, buddy, it's just gonna advertise that.
Speaker 2 (02:40:11):
You bought it from there.
Speaker 4 (02:40:12):
But but meals, drinks, hotel rooms, interests into parties, whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:40:17):
Bro in his town. It's like magic. You're good at it.
You're good at everything. You're good in everything. Man, Forever.
I always love watching those specials on the you back
in the day. How the Hurricane players say, well, we
were bigger than adults, bigger than the Dolphins. Man. We
we owned.
Speaker 4 (02:40:35):
They owned the town Miami, they owned the town. No
one was going to turn us away. All right, the
winners they get to do what they won't. That was
a pretty good set of morning games, guys, much more
coming up.
Speaker 2 (02:40:45):
Dan Byer, God bless everybody. Rose will take you the
rest of the way through a big Sunday around the NFL.
This it's Fox Sports Radio.
