Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to Fox Sports. Five late games going
on right now, including the Dallas Cowboys just getting into
the end zone on a touchdown reception by Jason Witten.
Extra point is good. Cowboys lead the Rams seven to
nothing late in the first quarter. You know what, we're
all friends here and it's the holiday season. Why don't
(00:21):
you bring in some of your friends. You know what.
I want to bring one of my best friends. He's like,
he's like a family member to me. He's with the
Seattle Seahawks. He is the best left tackle in pro football.
He means so much to that team. The whole demeanor
(00:42):
and and and and and mindset changed when he became
a member of that team. He is the one, the
only Dwayne Brown was good, big boy. How you doing.
I'm good man, You know I how to do it
for you? Brother? Come man, hey for us. Before we
start asking you questions, I just want to say congratulations.
(01:04):
I was a heck of a win and you are
having a phenomenal season, man, phenomenal season. Thank you, brother. Yeah,
we're trying to keep it rolling. Man's in a good year. Um,
you know we're playing pretty well up front. Um, you know,
getting a big road win, being seven am on the road.
You know, it's very proud of that. So, you know,
and in the final stretch now I'm trying to keep
it going. How have you guys been able to do
(01:24):
it with basically one healthy running back and one healthy
tight end for like the second half of the season.
I mean, all of you guys kept this together. Well. Now,
running back is a pretty good one, you know. Chris
Carson's uh, you know, getting over a thousand yards back
to back years. He's been a workhorse for us. Um,
you know, and and you know other guys we've had
rotate back there. We got a lot of faith there.
The guy's up front has been doing a phenomenal job. Uh,
(01:47):
even line blocking, um, you know, and rush distributes the
ball well, you know in the past game play action, bluelegs,
you know, getting the ball downfield. It's been a total
team ever man. And uh you know our defense playing lightstole,
getting turnovers, um, you know, it's been big time for us.
Just how important is Russell I mean when things break down,
(02:08):
just the comfort level of an offensive lineman to know that,
no matter what happens up front, that Russell Wilson can
get you guys, uh into extending plays and get you
out of terrible situation. How important is that for you
guys up front? Uh, It's extremely important. I mean he's
a phenomenal talent. Um, you know, he he's made so
many plays, been doing it on his whole career. Uh.
(02:30):
This year, I think he's you know, he's been been
he's just had a more focus on him just because
of the type ball games he's been in and him
having more of the spotlight on him and being able
to win close ball games. Uh. But he means so
much to us, you know, in the run game obviously,
the passing game, making plays with his legs, just his leadership. Um,
you know, everything that he encomes is you know, it's
it's Uh, it's big for our team. Dwayne Brown, left
(02:51):
tackle in the Seattle Seaks, joining us here on Fox
Sports runs on the radio, heasy from Salama, I'm Dan buyer.
Take me through those final couple of minutes, because you
guys are trying to run the clock out. There seemed
to be flags left and right, including one against you
that I'm not sure it was a flag. Take us
through that plan at least trying to run things out.
Against the Panthers today. Yeah, you know you whenever you
get the balls, the four minutes us four minutes unless
(03:12):
you want to in the game on the field. Uh there,
the team has some minimum offense and we wanted did
We didn't want to get another crack at it. Uh.
You know, we had a talse play. I'm blocking the
gout us about hunter hundred and eighty pounds. Um, you
know I got a hand on him and he felled
and uh, I guess the restaurant that was too good
to be true. So you know, he tore the flag.
I didn't agree with it, but you know, there's what
(03:34):
it is. Come back another flag next play. Um, We're
able to overcome it, you know again. And that's uh,
just the resiliency if you have as a group. Does
RUSS extended to play making play down field to give
it first down? Um, you know it's tough, tough call,
but you know you live with it and we found
a way to overcome it. How important is it for
you guys to have home field advantage in the playoffs
(03:57):
or is that something like like you said, you SA
have anyone on the role doesn't matter having home court,
home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Are you willing to
win anywhere, anytime, any place? I mean, you know, obviously
it will be great. You know, I don't think many
teams gonna come into into our our stadium and and
sorry atmosphere and playoffs on in the playoffs. Um, but
(04:18):
you know, if you did take it one at a time,
you know, we get into the playoffs, you know, you
just you take whatever opportunity you have, whether it's on
the road or at home, and try to find a
way to win. But if we get if we get
that that series, Um, at home, we feel really really
good about our chances. But wherever we go, we got confidence.
Dwayne Brown of the Seattle Seahawks before we let you go,
(04:39):
because I know you gotta run. What's the best advice
here from salam ever gave you about blocking in the
National Football League? Um, having a short memory. You know,
he saw me earlier in my career when I was struggling,
you know, and and and you know sometimes I would
come to the side of Manda felt like I had
no answer to whether we was going on to have
a short memory, whether whether it was a good player
(04:59):
of bath play. Uh, you know, move on from it.
You know you have a good block, I don't. Don't,
don't get too cocky about it. You know you have
a bad block, you move on and continue to play
with confidence. And that's the best piece of advice that
he's given me as the advice that I try to
get the dongle players. Now that's my guy. You almost
made me cry right there. Hey, d I'm look, I
(05:20):
know I'm gonna text you in a second. All right,
please reply back. You don't never be replying back to
my text messages. Man, Man, all right, thank you, man,
Thank you, Dwayne. After a thirty win over the Carolina
Panthers today, short memory, you always forget all my right predictions.
So that's that actually is apro Paul. All of the
(05:41):
things that I tell you that are going to happen,
and then it happens. We don't. You don't remember those
sort of things. But but I will tell you that.
And he's absolutely right. And I've seen so many young
players be fooled by great plays and discouraged by bad plays.
And I always told him, Look, everybody's gonna make mistakes.
(06:01):
Every everyone is gonna have a bad play. The only
thing the coach cares about is the next play. Because
if you can't let it go and you have two
bad plays in the role, that turns into three bad
plays in the role. Now they can't trust you and
put you on the field. So you gotta let it go.
You give up a sack or you have a holding,
(06:22):
or jump off sides. You gotta let it go. And
what you wanna do is that very next play, you
want to assert your dominance on whoever you're going against,
and they won't even care. They'll be like, hey, you know,
you jumped off sides here and then they run them
through the film. But the next play you buried the guy.
You took them ten yards down the field. And that's
what you wanna do, right. You want to convince the
(06:43):
coaches that look and your teammates it look, it happens,
but it's not going to be something that is cumbersome,
and it's gonna happen often. Seahawks still have a chance,
a decent chance at the NFC West Crown in a
first ground by in the NFL playoffs. Still somethings have
to happen. The forty Niners, the team that they're right
(07:05):
now looking up at in the standings, if you will.
In the NFC West, just got into the end zone
against the Falcons wheheaem Moster a two yard touchdown run.
So it's seven nothing Niners. There we mentioned the Cowboys
leading the Rams seven nothing. Late in the first the
Browns are on the board again. It's fourteen to ten,
Arizona leading in that contest in Arizona. With four to
go until halftime, the Raiders attend three lead on the
(07:27):
Jaguars and the Vikings have a twelve ten lead now
on the Chargers as Dan Bailey has just kicked a
forty four yard field goal for seventeen to go until halftime.
Cowboys and Rams drama happening in this game even before
the opening kickoff Dak Prescott. The Cowboys won the toss
and had the choice and then what unfull today? They
(07:48):
didn't defer, right, so you have to defer, which means
you're going to defer your decision to the second half.
What he did was he said we want to kick,
and he and he the op asthmas are you sure?
He was like, yes, we want to kick that direction.
So what happens is because he didn't defer, now the
(08:11):
Rams get to have the ball now starting the game,
and they have the choice to have it our kick
it in the second half, and I'm willing to go
on record with the certainty that they're going to receive
the ball in the second half. I will also go
on record and say this that he got madnized, he
(08:32):
got technoized because on video games they don't give you
the option to defer. You either kick or receive. And
then the computer of the second half says, oh, you
chose to kick at the beginning, you'll receive of the
second half. You gott to improve those options of the
video games. He from. That's where it's all. I had
techno super Bowl. You gotta kick or receive, you end
(08:54):
up kicking, and then you'll get the ball at the
start of the second half. That's the video game generation.
And actually I'm making a joke, but I'm not joking
that much because I don't understand unless from there, like
we're gonna change duties today and have somebody else like,
why how would that even get into your mind? Why
is Dak Prescott now doing this in week fifteen of
(09:16):
the season. I would assume he's been out there for
the other fourteen coin tosses that they had at the
start of the season. This boggles my mind that something
like this could fall through the cracks. Well, um, normally
when the other team wins and they say, we want
to defer right, are they're kicking there? Actually what direction?
Actually opposite opponent? You know what direction and all of that.
(09:39):
So maybe he got a little confused and got caught
up in kicking right, we want to kick that way.
Now you can also choose direction right like yes, which
wouldn't make any sense because if you wanted to go
with the wind, then yeah, yeah there team Yeah, I mean,
I just I don't know why you pick win Unless
it was fifty miles our right there, there would be
(10:01):
no reason to do that. So well, let's see what
bearing that has on the game. It could be a
big thing, or it could be it could be nothing. Uh,
I'll tell you what. That is. One of the things
that has gone wrong for the Cowboys today. One of
the things that has gone right happened just a few
minutes ago. Back to throw a four man rush standing
and throwing the bottle the right and the nifty touch
(10:22):
and three steps for the touchdown when five point three
the fan of the Cowboys radio network on that Jason
Wentton touchdown as Dallas leads it by a score of
seven to nothing. This is a crazy afternoon from because
I can't remember the last time where we've had five
games going on. Yeah, I'm like, we can't even only
(10:44):
have enough TVs all these games, just waiting two weeks
from now when we have all of the tiebreakers and
the the late games in week seventeen and teams trying
to battle. Although the playoff picture seems to be starting
to sort itself out a little bit. In the National
Football League, Easy from Salama, I'm dan buy our quick
check his scores again. Cowboys up seven nothing on the Rams.
Start of the second Fikes lead the Bolts twelve ten
(11:06):
nearing the two minute warning. Cardinals lead Cleveland fourteen to ten.
Three minutes to go until halftime. The Niners again on
the board, seven nothing against the Falcons. The Raiders are
driving against the Jaguars ten to three. And what's the
final game in Oakland? Will reminisce about the oh dot Co,
Oakland County, Alameda, whatever Colosseum last game for the Raiders
(11:27):
in Oakland today. We'll talk about that during the show.
About three forty to go, Oakland's up on the Jaguars
ten to three. Easy from Salama. I'm Dan Buyer. I'm
on Twitter at Dan Buyer. On Fox you can get
e from at from Salama's where company Alive from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. Fifteen minutes could save you
fift to more on cour Incurence. Visit Geico dot com
for a free rate quote. One of the NFL's longest
(11:49):
storied franchises just had their playoff whole hopes delt a
big blow today. We'll tell you who that is next year.
On Fox Sports Radio, the Rams break the huddle, God
sets up of the shotgun, takes the quick snap, wants
to throw to the end zone, spins it to the
coal on It is Cots at the pylon by Girly
Touchdown l A. Rams are in the end zone on
(12:12):
the Rams Radio Network, evening things up with the Cowboys
at seven apiece, twelve minutes to go until halftime. Heasy
from Salama. I'm Dan Buyer. It is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio, Julio Jones and the end zone for the
Atlanta Falcons coming up. That's a rarity that had it's
I was looking at some numbers of just receiving career
(12:34):
receiving numbers with the NFL doing their all one D
team and the top three active receivers in receptions ahead
of Leo Jones were Jason Witton, Larry Fitzgerald and if
you want to call Antonio Brown active, you can. And
I think we've got to score in Dallas. Looks like
Tavon Austin has gotten into the end zone when no
(12:57):
one was even close to me from within about twenty
hards is maybe the closest Ram. Tavon Austin touching the
football and now in the end zone. Cowboys back up
on the Rams seven, but Julio Jones at extra point
is good. In San Francisco, Falcons and Niners tied up
at seven in the NFC North Division showdown took place
in Green Bays at eight Temps and the Teens know
(13:19):
it all too well, and so does Charles Davis. As
we dive in on the Bears Packers, it's time for
the NFL focus. At least he was in the booth, right,
Charles calling the game on Fox? How much does being
in the booth help in a game at lambeau Field
(13:40):
when when the Temps are in the teens. You know
it helps. It helps a little bit because you're protected
over the top and you know, kind of behind you,
but the windows open, so whatever the temperature is, Oh,
you're feeling every bit of it. I'll tell you how
you know. And and look, I live in Florida and
I grew up in New York. I lost my coping
skills a long time. I here's the bottom line. The
(14:03):
heaters that we had, the cold put but a figure
four and a chokehold and choked them out. The heaters
and those heaters that no shot and they didn't even
come close to playing today. It's funny, you see. Do
you know I got soft on us? Man, come home.
I'm telling you when you when it comes down to
a guy, the cold is gonna bring its game and
(14:24):
the rest of you are just got to deal with it.
At least you were in Cana City. Did you see
that weather? I saw that. I had a friend who
texted and said, hey, you in Kansas City. Woe? I said,
might as well, pie, I'm in Green Bay. It's the
same thing to that. Speaking of Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers,
they get the win today, it didn't seem quite like
they wanted to take the win, but the ineptability of
(14:48):
of the Chicago Bears offense, of course reared his head again.
But when you look at Aaron Rodgers and the season
he's having, I mean, they're kind of like going under
the radar, right, We got a lot of other teams
in the NFC at the top of the NFC that
we're like that we're talking about Yeah, there's no doubt
about it. And he talked about afterwards, my coffee when
you get a push um. He talked about it a
(15:10):
little bit after the game, like, hey, look we're still
eleven and three, all right, But when they got the
twenty one to three, I think we all thought that
was pretty much gonna gonna do it. And then they
didn't move the ball very well, and then a couple
of opportunities kind of went by the wayside and wanted
to put the game away. Was third and four in
field goal range, they don't run it. He takes the sack.
(15:32):
And when I say takes the sack, he had no shot.
I mean they came right up in the middle of questive.
Now they're out of field goal range. So they had
to play that game all the way through as opposed
to if they just run the ball there and kick
the field goal with Mason Crosby, who has missed once
this year. This thing's done there, okay, because now you've
taken it from an eight point to a leven point game.
And I think there's all that things finished right then
there and that's all she wrote. But now you got
(15:55):
to play it out. Defense is gonna make a couple
more stops. YadA, YadA, YadA. They got it done. But
I will tell you this, I like this team. I
don't know how many people will will be terrified to
play them in the playoffs, even with Aaron right now,
because they haven't shown that ability to just step on people. Yeah,
the Packers are the friend zone. Charles Davis joining us.
You like them, you don't love them, And and I think,
(16:17):
is that is that fair? I mean, for a team
that is eleven wins on the season, I'm right there
with They don't think it is. They don't think it
is at all. They bristle it that a little bit.
And I understand that if I were in that locker
room and I'm eleven and three, I don't want to
hear any from from people like us. But the bottom
line is they're eleven and three. They're there. Go go
(16:39):
and check and see what their point differential is for
the year. You know what my guess is is that
it's less than fifty because yeah, because because I'm because
I came into this game looking at it, and I
remember saying to myself, this reminds me of Seattle a
couple of weeks ago. Thank you who went into Philadelphia.
You remember how how how high they were riding? Then
(17:00):
they still are. They went in Philadelphia two losses on
the year, I believe, and plus nineteen on the season.
That's not you know, that's what plus nineteen and they go,
hold up a second, we're winning. Yeah, you are winning.
I get it, and no one's disputing that. But plus
nineteen is not what you usually get on the team
with the record this is I think at the time
(17:21):
they rate two nine to two. Wow, let's talk about
the other side of the ball in in Chicago. What
are they gonna do with Mitchell Trabinsky. Now he threw
for almost three fifty yards, we had two costly picks.
I mean, do you want Mitchell Trobinski throwing the ball
fifty three times? I don't think that they want to,
but green Bay didn't actually let them. And it's very
(17:43):
strange that green Bay will play about play five to
six dvs on almost every snap. So in a lot
of ways from us, like a college defense, you know,
you get all that speed on the field, but not
much bulk. And it's an open invitation that Mike Petton's
defense coordinator sending to the rest of the league. If
you are determined to run football, we might be the
team that you should do it again. But most people
(18:05):
don't have the patients or they're not built to do that.
So when you think of who are your heaviest run
teams in the league, Seattle Minnesota, and what I mean
by heaviest run not necessarily just tally by statistics, because
San Francisco runs it more than anyone. I'll talking about
the teams that are saying we are dedicated to running
the football, Seattle Minnesota immediately come to mind. Okay, you
(18:27):
can put San Francisco in there, Baltimore in a different
way if you have to meet them in the Super Bowl.
But bottom line is, most people just don't have the
patients or that's not how they're built. So they say
they're gonna run the hack out of it. But when
push comes to shove, they throw it. And that's what
Green Bays counting on, and that's how they end up
dealing with you, because today they actually did a pretty
(18:48):
decent job against the run and that dissuaded Chicago enough
that they had to throw it a bunch of times.
Charles Davis, who was on the call of the Bears
Packers game in Green Bay, which Green Bay thirteen, joining
us here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. So, so
what do we take after now two years of Matteneggie
and the Chicago Bears. I mean, they're a double doink
away from going to the Divisional playoff round last year,
(19:09):
but it doesn't happen now there's seven and seven likely
looking on the outside, even though mathematically there still is
a chance. Is it a step back or things just
in a holding pattern? Where are we overall with the Bears?
I think that I'm still bullish on them, Frankly, I
really am, because I think that defense here's the thing.
When you take it away as many times they did
last year and turned into as many points as they
(19:30):
did last year, someone called me and let me know
what team has done that multiple years in a row,
because that's not happen. Okay, this it's not a fluke.
But you hit those hot streak in those hot years,
but it's rare that you come back the next year
because teams look at what you did the year before
and they take great pains to take care of the football.
(19:51):
They do things differently, so you can't get after them. Now,
you know, everybody in their brother's block in Khalil Mack,
and he still had an effect on the game in
this one. You know, it's funny because late in the ballgame,
we hadn't called his name at all to make a play,
and then there's a play where Aaron's gonna throw the
football and he looks up and fifty two dead in
his face and the lookout in space was like third
(20:13):
and five, And now we decided not to block him,
like it was the most amazing thing. He came in unimpeded.
There's a blocking assigned that obviously missed. So my bottom
line with the Chicago team is I really think that
they keep the defense mainly intact, they'll be fine. Drabinsky.
They're gonna have to figure out how they're going to
continue to play with him. But I think Montgomery gives
them the runner they're looking for, and I feel like
(20:34):
they're gonna bounce back and be a contender again next
year in their division. Where are you going next week?
We are headed to San Francisco, ram San Francisco on
Saturday night. There you go. Look, that's gonna be pleasant.
After today, we were fine with that. Yeah, that's gonna
be pleasant. Thanks c D for coming on. Man. We
appreciate it as always. Enjoy your coffee and your flight. Yeah,
(20:59):
you know I'm gonna enjoy both of them. Coffee more
than the because I maybe the worst flyer in history
about Thanks, Charles, appreciate it alright. Touchdown in l A
a defensive touchdown as the Vikings have just put it
into the end zone nearing halftime on a turnover by
(21:20):
the Charges. It looked like Austin Ekeler was trying to
pick up the football, he had it knocked loose from
him and the Vikings have run it back for a score,
so it will obviously be reviewed. Eighteen to ten is
the situation right now. Philip Rivers was heavily pressured, he
actually had it knocked out of his hand, and then
Austin Ekeler tried to pick it up and he had
(21:41):
it knocked out of his hands, and then the Vikings
were able to pick it up and run it back.
Just fall on it from right, Just fall fall on
the ball. Fall on the ball. Hey, Gavin, how does
that make you feel? It's not surprising that their third
turnover of the first half. His team is terrible. Well,
the the Vikings had two turnovers of their own in
which extra point. So this is nobody wants to who
(22:05):
who doesn't want it? That's what's going down in l A.
To wrap up this Packers Bears conversation that we have
with Charles Davis, even I just I don't want to
pile on on Green Bay, but is Charles Davis said that, yeah,
he likes them. I don't know what you can love
about them. This is who they've beaten this year. And
(22:25):
I am gonna put caveats in because I do feel
that they are necessary at Chicago home against the Vikings,
against Denver, at Dallas against the Lions, the Raiders, a
Patrick Mahomes less Kansas City Chiefs team, the Panthers, Giants, Redskins,
and all the Bears. Again, that's not exactly murders row
(22:45):
I would say that their best win is either the
Cowboys win or the Vikings win at the beginning of
the season, but that was a game where they jumped
out early twenty one to nothing and had to hold
on for dear life at the end and ended up
winning sixteen. So the games that Green Bay has won,
it's a very favorable schedule for them to navigate and
get to eleven and three, it is, And next week
(23:08):
will be a huge game at Minnesota. Uh. That's uh,
that's a game that it's kind of like a tune up, right,
tune up for the playoffs, because you're going to be
able to see Minnesota's a playoff team, you're a playoff team.
You're going to be able to see how you really
stack up a divisional foe at their home. And you know,
(23:29):
that's gonna answer a lot of questions about this Green
Bay team, because just squeaking out wins is good until
you get down to the playoffs and every minute, every possession,
every yard starts to count. And if they win that game,
they'd still be at three losses. And right now with
the Niners in their situation being eleven and two, the
(23:49):
Saints are sitting there at ten and three, Green Bay
at eleven and three. A first round by could be
at stake depending how things play out. Heasy from Salama.
I'm Dan Buyer. This is a Fox Sports Red Zone
radio coming up next. There is one team in the
NFL that no one wants to face in the playoffs.
Will tell you who that is after David Gascon gives
(24:09):
us the lay this of what's happening in week fift.
Hello Dave, what's up? Dan? You gotta be worried though.
Why is that? Because Gavin texted me yesterday and he said, uh,
one simple thing, I'm a Seahawks fan. Now he started
saying it started to lay the groundwork with that, telling
me that he's kind of becoming a Seahawks fan. What
(24:31):
did you say? No, thank you, I've got my twelve. Well,
if if the charges give you any reason to like
become excited, your heart will go back. You know, it's
just your scorned lover right now. That's it. I'm going
through a breakup, you know, you know it is. It's
like it's like when when doctors do tests on healthy
(24:55):
lungs before someone starts smoking, and then after and the
lungs just turned lock That's that's what it is to
be like a Chargers fan. You got a bunch of
coal in your stock. Yeah, that's exactly it. I mean,
like I said, I think I text you last week, Dan,
like you have like tons of things going right for
you with Ohio State, like hockey, basketball, women's hockey. That's
(25:17):
that's way down there. I don't follow those those sports.
But they have Gavin's dark cloud coming over you in
the Twelfth Man, like, who's going to figure out how
to stop somebody? That's their biggest dark cloud right now,
because right now they have they are against. If there
was a democratic debate, the Seahawks would go on the
stage and say, we are against stopping teams from some well, guys,
(25:42):
we'll get into the NFL actually real quick. But before
we do that, Madison bum Gardener's terms are now out.
They deal with Arizona is five years, eighty five million
dollars coming his way in fifteen, and that will be deferred.
So it goes from San Francisco to Arizona, but of
course stays in the National League West of Torment, the
Dodgers and Padres uh and of course the Rockies. Meanwhile,
(26:02):
in the National Football leage Dallas right now has an
advantage over the l A Rams second and nine Dallas.
So it's forty one. Prescott in the gun fake now
he's gonna be rushed by Fowler. Steps back from that,
throws deep down the field right open at the thirty five,
it's tavon Austin. He's gonna dance in. That's the easiest
fifty nine yard touchdown Prescott's ever thrown or Austin's ever caught.
(26:26):
And he's doing a little hodown dance of the end zone.
Fifty nine yards Prescott to Austin for the touchdown. Hodown Dads.
It's the bad of the Cowboys radio networks. So they
got the advantage right now fourteen seven, under seven minutes
to play in the game's first half. Mean, while here
in Los Angeles, you got an interesting thing before the
half dr path he dropped the ball. Hebout to be
(26:48):
picked up by a Viking pounting around Hippony can about
half its to the forty NA ball touchdown, six yards
defensive touchdown. Yeah, I I admit I'm not a morning guy.
(27:10):
I don't know about you guys, but if I can
listen to this call every morning, I actually might get
out of bed at a decent time morning and loose. Anyways,
Vikings right now in nineteen ten over the LH Chargers,
San Francisco and Atlanta seven up right now this ballgames
late in the first half. Jacksonville down by thirteen at
(27:31):
Oakland sixteen to three, Derek Carr fourteen and twenty three
two one. Then also a score earlier today New England
beat Cincinnati, seattle'll beat the Panthers, Bears fall at Green Bay.
Giants got another win thirty six to twenty. Is the
final that one Hereston Texans one on the road and
beat the Titans. That's a big win for them. Houston
to Shawn Watson a couple of touchdown passes in the victory.
(27:52):
Kansas City breezed by Denver twenty three to three in
Tampa Bay had four more touchdowns and four hundred and
fifty yards from the Enigma Jameis Winston. They beat the
Lions seven. That's a great name for him. It's nothing
of his rang truer than the Enigma and Jamis Winston,
like you know, when you see those memes online with
the Spider Man meme, you could get Jamis Winston versus
(28:15):
Ryan Fitzpatrick. And that'd be a hell of a matchup there,
It truly would. It would be. This is the thing.
And I even heard you guys talking with Steve Hartman
and Rich orn Berger, uh last hour. Here's the thing
about Jamis, it's always been about the turnovers. Because yeah,
it's back to back weeks of four fifty yards. That
(28:35):
doesn't happen too much. But when you look at the
receiving corps that they had last year, when you look
at what they then carried over this year now with
Bruce arians there, the numbers yardage wise, you've always been
there with Jamis. It's just the question of can he
stopped throwing interceptions? And he can't. Yeah, and and but
now you see what he's doing against these teams, and
(28:57):
and and I know that the Buccaneers don't have any
playoff hopes, but I mean, how do you how do
you not he's gonna get the franchise, He's gonna throw
himself into a lot of money, for sure. It's just crazy, man.
If he cannot, if he could just not, I mean,
I guess that's saying to a running back. He's a
(29:19):
great running bag, but he fumbles all the time, right,
Like I guess it doesn't matter. Like if you're fumbling,
you're fumbling, right, that's just the bottom line. So if
you're throwing interceptions, yeah, you could throw for four hundred
like what last week he had five touchdowns and what
four picks or three picks or something like that. Let's
(29:40):
just like we can't live like that. But this is
this is this is jamis since mid October. This is
yard number of yards after during that game where he
threw five interceptions against the Panthers, he threw for four
hundred yards. That game, he threw for three oh one,
three five, three th teen, had a random to sixty
(30:03):
eight game against the Jaguars, and now these two for
fifty games. But even after with that, from when when
he was on last year, you have games of three
forty five, three thirty six, three three. It's been there.
It's just don't throw interceptions. It's he it's he can't.
(30:24):
I mean he's been in the league five years. At
this point, you are what you are. If you're willing
to roll the dice, then go ahead. It's a lot
of this. His team's out there, who who need a
prolific passer? I think the thing that would help Jamie's
is any semblance our ability to run the ball. They
just don't ring the ball. You know, they twenty nine
(30:45):
times for forty nine yards. That's not gonna get it done.
The longest run they had was six yards. That's just
too much pressure to put on a quarterback. He also
did it today without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin left
with a hamstring injury, and those playing fantasy football, there
are reports that Godwin's injury could be more severe and
could keep him out. I mean, for a team that
(31:06):
isn't going to make the playoffs, even though there's seven
and seven, they're not making the postseason, there may be
no reason to try to rush someone like Chris Godwin
back from that injury. So but for him to do
that today, and I know it's against the Lions, but
I still think the numbers are there. I think that
there's enough there from where you keep him around, whether
it be a franchise tag or some sort of deal.
But if if he was a free agent, there would
(31:28):
be a bunch of teams out there willing to take
a chance. And I just don't think he's going to.
I I think that he is going to be the
Buccaneers quarterback in those numbers these last couple of weeks
kind of show it. Third down in Dallas, they're gonna
be facing a short uh what at the two yard line?
Cowboys up on the Rams fourteen to seven. It's at
the two minute warning. It's actually actually the half yard line.
(31:49):
So the Cowboys will be facing a third and goal
in that situation. And the what has become the Tavon
Austin revenge game for because of his long touchdown a
insto his former team, the Rams. But for those of
you that missed it from touched on this about thirty
minutes ago, there was a there was confusion about what
happened at the coin toss where Dak Prescott said that
(32:10):
they wanted to kick what should be noted as Jane
Slater of the NFL Network did take a picture of
the game notes, and I don't know if this is official, Ephraim,
but the game notes said that the Cowboys chose to defer,
So well, that are those the game notes, because they
did kick, which one would assume they deferred, right, So
(32:31):
if you're sitting in the box or something like that
and you see them kicking then you say, oh, they deferred,
But if he didn't say deferred on the field, then
he's given his the the option for the other team
to decide whether they want the ball or not. In
the start of the second half, there should be like
an official sign like defer meaning like just moved to
(32:54):
the side. That's if that signal was not given the
then the Rams would the extra possession. Basically in this contest,
which is okay, we put everything on Jason Garrett, is
that a Dak Prescott or means the captain of the
team is the quarterback in the league four years. I mean,
(33:15):
we can't blame everything on Jason Garrett. We can blame
a lot. No, we can blame a lot on Jason Garrett,
but we can't blame everything on them. I this is
one of my gripes that leads to one of my
gripes in the NFL, a billion dollar industry. When we
have a Super Bowl, can we just have a coin
with a a f C team helmet and an NFC
instead of being like, okay, from here we are picture
(33:39):
of the US capital. Here is your heads on the
flip side, the eagle with Abraham Lincoln talking to George
Washington is tails. We need you to call it. You
don't even know what's heads or tails. You just a NFC.
No one calls it. Whatever it lands on, that's who
gets the ball. I like that idea. Don't like a
lot of your ideas, but that one I'll sign up.
(34:01):
I mean, just put ahead and a tail, just right
heads tails on it. That's good enough for me. Easy
from Salam. I'm Dan Buyer. Will tell you how the
Cowboys cashed in. And I've yet to reveal the one
team that I think nobody wants to play in the
NFL playoffs. We'll tell you who it is next year.
On Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Certain goal. I'm gonna
give it an Elliot straight up the touchdown. And there's
(34:26):
more great news for Dallas. Sean Lee has just picked
off Jared Goff and the Cowboys are gonna be at
the Rams nine yard line facing a firsting goal of
seven on one of five point three. The fan of
the Cowboys radio network, I've got more great news. There's
a quick and easy way you can save money. Switched
to Geico. It only takes fifteen minutes to see if
(34:46):
you could say more on car In Shurts go to
geiku dot com and see how much you could save.
Easy from salam. I'm Dan Buyer. This is Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio, trying to go to the well too
many times since Jared Goff gets picked off by the
veteran linebacker Sean Lee, just stepping in front of the
past that was intended for Robert Woods. The Browns are
(35:06):
in the end zone, Baker mayfield a touchdown pass getting
them closer to the Arizona Cardinals, and what do you know,
the Chargers have turned it over again. I'm Melvin Gordon.
Fumble recovered by the Vikings. Vikings having in the red zone,
but it does look like Delvin Cook maybe intended to
(35:27):
right now on the field, So something to keep our
eye on. And in the final game in Oakland, the
Raiders lead the Jaguars sixteen to three. The Niners are
knocking on the door but unable to cash in on
a touchdown, so Robbie Gold comes in for a short
field goal attempt. They're gonna try to tie it up
ten to seven. Falcons lead with twenty seven seconds left
(35:47):
in the first half. We'll tell you if that touchdown
is or if that field goal is good. And yeah,
I'm guessing it is tied up at ten Niners and Falcons.
We are a company a lot for the Geico Fox
Sports Radio studios. You know the team that I think
no one wants any part of e from. And it's
not a team that's coming out of nowhere, but it's
just how they are playing, and that's the Kansas City
Chiefs because now they have started to hit their stride.
(36:11):
I think it's very difficult that a team can be
magnificent from Week one all the way through the beginning
of February into a Super Bowl and just ride that train.
And the Chiefs have had their ups and downs of
this season, including a Patrick Mahomes injury, but to see
what they did today against Denver and the snow where
(36:32):
it didn't even seem like it bothered them whatsoever. Would
you see what has happened with the Chiefs over these
last couple of weeks, with a win over the Patriots,
win over the Chargers, their arrival that dismantled the Raiders,
and what was a big game. The Kansas City Chiefs,
to me, are hitting their stride, and I think that's
what's dangerous for anybody else in the a f C.
(36:53):
And I even put the Ravens into that conversation considering
Kansas City beat Baltimore earlier this year. But the way
that the Chiefs are playing right now tells me that
this team is starting to peek at the right time.
And I think that's great for the Chiefs. I think
the attention has been off of them. I think, um,
I mean, how miraculous they were last year and what
(37:17):
you know Patrick Mahomes was able to do. It's a
big spotlight. I think we're all enamored, especially in the
a f C with Lamar Jackson and what he's doing
with Baltimore, and so I think this is good. I
I think the Chiefs lost Patrick for a few weeks.
They had to work on some things. Defense wasn't stepping
(37:40):
up to the plate, running games suffered a little bit.
They've since right at the ship a little bit. Patrick
Mahomes is playing better football. That snow game today was
was great. It looked fun. It looked fun. It looked
like being in the backyard and playing with your cousins.
(38:01):
It didn't look frigid like you know, like like it
was cold, but it's not like it was twenty below
it was. It was wet snow and it was cold,
but yeah, it looked a lot of fun. Yeah, And
you know, the bottom line is the Chiefs are tendant four.
You know, people are are are are not talking about
(38:23):
them like you know, they don't have double digit wins
with two more games against the Bears in the Charger
so in a at the the end of the day,
they can finish up twelve and four and you'd right,
you don't want to see them in the playoffs. I mean,
we talked about the Patriots demise, what the Ravens are doing. Heck,
I even think more attention has been put on what
(38:45):
the Steelers and Bills have been doing and the Steelers
being shorthanded than maybe what the Chiefs have been doing
as of late. Ezekiel Elliott into the end zone that
Cowboys are running away from the Rams. It's twenty seven
to seven with sixteen seconds left to go in the
first half. Extra point is coming up. This would put
a severe dent in the playoff hopes of the Los
(39:08):
Angeles Rams if they were to lose this contest and
they're gonna need a big comeback. The good thing for
them is we think they're getting the ball to start
the second half. I think we think that's the case.
The Vikings after that turnover, and we'll get an update
on Dalvin Cook when we can, will attempt a Dan
Bailey field goal. But yeah, I just the Chiefs today
(39:29):
seeming with that snow being absolutely no resistance whatsoever. Patrick
mahomes through for three d and forty yards, that Travis
Kelsey was active, Tyreek Kill had a good day. It
just didn't seem like they were affected whatsoever. And that
to me as we going, okay, all right, if you
want to start peaking around week fifteen to the National
(39:50):
Football League season, the Kansas City Chiefs are doing that.
And uh yeah, you mentioned the last two games of
the season twelve and four, and in position. Remember they
have that tiebreaker with the Patriots. So depending on what happens,
if New England does fall next week to Buffalo, which
we'll talk about that later, yeah, that could be a
possibility where the Chiefs can slide in and maybe get
(40:12):
a first round by Getty from on Twitter, Addie from
Salam I'm at Dan Buyer on Fox. Cards up on
the Bronze seventeen midway through the third quarter. We told
you the Cowboys of that one lead on the Rams
at the half, the Falcons and Niners are tied up
at ten. The Raiders earlier the third quarter lead the
Jaguar sixteen to three in the final game in Oakland,
and that Dan Bailey field goal was good for the
(40:34):
Vikings twenty two to ten over the Chargers with twelve
thirty seven left to go in the first half. Or
Company live from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios and
coming up next, whose entire legacy in the National Football
League was erased in a span of ten seconds. We'll
tell you next year on Fox Sports Radio and down
(40:54):
the stretch they come. In Week fifteen of the National
Football League season, our five have late games either at
the half are already in the second half. Keeping our
eye on what's happening in l a. As The Vikings
have a twelve point lead on the Chargers in the
third quarter, but Minnesota is gonna have to do it
without Dalvin Cook the rest of the day left the
(41:14):
game with the shoulder injury. The Cowboys have that three
touchdown advantage on the Rams despite potentially botching the coin
toss at the start of the game. Really, it's the
only thing that's gone wrong for Dallas so far today,
the Niners at Falcons in a tight one, hecked, the
Cardinals have of their way with the Browns a little bit.
And then the Swan song in Oakland, the Raiders playing
(41:35):
their final home game ever, and oak we think, I
mean we we did close the door on Oakland once
and then they returned and stayed for twenty years. And
now they're leaving again. But but the Vegas there there
to stay, saying good saying goodbye. I will say this
is the NFL was looking for the seventeen game schedule,
(41:57):
remember that was talked about the owners. Why not just
have the Raiders go back to the Bay Area and
play a game once a year if you can find
a suitable place, could be there one stop each year
they could go back and say thanks. Or is that
just an awful idea? Okay, you just figured i'd throw
it out there. Maybe you should wrap that up in
the rest of the garbage and throw it out just
(42:20):
just maybe a little novelty thing. That's what we've got
going on here in Week fifteen of the National Football
League season. Good ideas and bad ideas? Where Company Alive?
From the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios fifteen minutes can
save you fifteen percent to more on car insurance. Busic
g com for a free rate quote. We will keep
you up to date of what is happening in all
of these Lake games. The Vikings are in the red
zone trying to extend their lead even more over the Chargers.
(42:43):
We'll tell you how that plays out. But we do
want to get to the big story that's kind of
taking place in the NFL over the last week, and
the story that really was broken up today by Fox
Sports NFL in center Jay Glazer is. Jay was able
to acquire the video tape of what happened in the
Cleveland Browns press box when a Patriots videographer was confronted
(43:06):
by Bengal security last week. In week fourteen, we had
heard about the reports that a Bengals videographer, according to
the team I from, was there to do a piece
on their television show Do Your Job, and the video
being taken was for b roll of what an advanced
scout would do. Well, now we know a little bit
(43:27):
more about what was happening, I want to get your
original thoughts before we hear the audio that Jay Glazer
was able to get his hands on What were your
thoughts when you heard that the Patriots allegedly we're videotaping
the Bengal sidelines last week against the Browns. They're doing
it again. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Now, there
(43:49):
was no no thought of maybe it's an archaic way
of doing things. You just no. The Patriots have shown
over the years that they take and look for any
advantage that they can get, legal or illegal. Am I am?
I not right with that? So if look at it
(44:11):
like a relationship. If you're in a relationship with a
young lady and you catch your going through your pockets
and still in money, are you like, oh, hey, don't
do that. You know? Then you catch your going out
on dates. You know, he's like, hey, you know, I
really love you. Don't do that. And she apologizes and
I'm gonna go to counseling. I'm going to go to
(44:33):
counseling and all that. And then you are doing laundry
and you find, uh, you know, numbers in her pocket.
Do you immediately think this is probably like a doctor's number,
Are you know? No, you know exactly what it is.
No matter what her excuses, you know what it is.
She's back to her in nefarious ways. No doctor goes
(44:55):
by the name of Trevor. You know Keith Luke. So
this Dr Luke. Okay. This is the audio that Jay
Glazer was able to get his hands on that was
played earlier today on Fox NFL Sunday. This was the
exchange between the Patriots and videographer and Bengal security who
(45:15):
was called to the booth last week in Cleveland. And
this is a piece you're selling me on your advance scout. Yeah,
come on, guys, I don't see the advance scount in
this footage. No, that's not We would try to get
some field perspective, and my mad you can that's not
the sails with that. That's why you would think you could.
(45:37):
I didn't know. I didn't form, but I can delete
this right hand for him. Damage has done, my friend,
it is because we deleted on any nine yards on
the body nine years. There's no way I can get
(45:58):
that frontage back and I don't have a computer to
ca Yeah, I don't see the advance scouting in this
video ship. That was the audio of what transpired in
the conversations between the Patriots videographer and when Bengals Security
(46:21):
and NFL security was called to the booth in Cleveland
last week. You know what, I'd like to see what
happened happened. I like the NFL to really take a
stance on things that affect the integrity of the game,
like they take a stance on things that happened outside
the field of play. I want them to take a stance.
And because of the history of the New England Patriots,
(46:45):
wouldn't it be great what if they just came onto
Bill Belichick? Yours has been for next year. I did
Sean Payton when it came to bounty game. The health
of the health of players, that was the big thing
of this is a league that's trying to make sure
that everybody stays healthy. You've got retired players suing the
league because of because of the their health ailments. And
(47:09):
so then bounty Gate comes out and they suspended Sean Payton.
So you think that that's apropos for Bill Belli because
you can't. You can't where they're smoke, there's fire, and
they've been caught plenty of times before and it's always
something right, Oh well, we didn't know what he was doing. Yeah, right?
Does that? Does that? Does well? Does that organization seem
(47:32):
like people are just doing anything just willy nilly with
you just decide as an equipment manager to let air
out of the ball because that's what you want to do.
Does that seem like the organization that would allow that
type of stuff to happen the readings, Yeah, I think
that where there's smoke, there's fire to a lot of stuff.
(47:55):
What I don't understand here is what is the managed
gained by filming the sideline, Because now what we understand
is a lot of the signals are called in via
a headset to the player on the field, so you
wouldn't be able to really garner anything. You're not, you know,
(48:16):
having arms signals and hand signals showing what happens. If
you wanted to sit at the game from you could
sit in the crowd and record it on your cell phone, couldn't.
It doesn't matter the fact that he was up there
doing that. That's the problem, whether you can gain an
advantage or not. The fact that you're doing it right
and you're not supposed to be doing it. Did you
(48:40):
hear him? You can erase it right now. That is
the troubling part, because honestly, I didn't think it was
as big a deal from everything that we have heard. Now,
I will say this for the guy that was put
in that spot, maybe he just doesn't react to situations. Well,
it doesn't will be fired and they will be like,
we don't know, we didn't know what he was doing,
just like they equipment, and just like the other guy
(49:03):
of the spy gate guy, it's just gonna be the
same thing. It'll be the same thing. But they've shown
a propensity to break the rules or try to skirt
the rules. So when do you lower the slash hammer? Yeah,
(49:23):
I just I don't think that a town was gained
by it. It doesn't matter get gaining something, that's not
the point. The point is you were doing it. If
you go rob if you go break into a jewelry store, right,
and you don't get anything, right, if you don't get anything,
(49:46):
you can't get into the vault, all the stuff is
put away, you can't get anything, and as you're coming
out you get caught. Should they let you go? No, No,
they should not. That's the point. Right. If you're doing
something you're not supposed to do, whether you gain from
it or not, and it's against the rules, then you
should be punished for it period. My question that I
(50:07):
would have for the videographer of why being so defensive,
why offer to delete it right now? Yeah, we won't.
We won't have any of it, because that, to me
is the part where then my ear does perk up
a little bit, not because he was doing anything wrong,
but the optics of it. Guilt. That was guilt right there.
(50:27):
I don't have the computer to put it in. It's
if you delete. He was like, uh, I'm sorry it
He was like, why nothing has happened? Just deleted. I
I just don't and and I'm not. I don't understand
how the Patriots can ask the Browns for a credential
and then not clear it with the National Football League
(50:48):
or the Cincinnati Bengals. Now maybe that's just a it's
a Brown's home game. They're gonna deal with it. The
Patriots did in their statement say it was an oversight,
that that was an issue. Still oversighting, right, there's still
all this time, were still oversighting. I mean, I get
(51:09):
you trying to play devil's advocate, but it is what
it is. I mean, it's not shocking. Was that shocking
to you? It was shocking to me to hear how
defensive the Bengals video the Patriots videographer was. Was it
shocking when you heard the news the Patriots may have
been trying to tape signals from and there's and that
is the point. No, it's not shocking. When that girl
(51:32):
you've been, you've caught cheating over and over again, now
has numbers in their pockets. It doesn't surprise you. It
makes you sad, but you're not surprised. Yeah, what is it?
Dr Luke? Shame on me, fu me twice. Shame on you,
fool me once. Shame on you for me twice. Shame
(51:55):
on Gavin. Shame on Gavin. Score three times on the ground.
That's Kenyan Drake for the Arizona Cardinals. He's in the
end zone again. Arizonas extended their lead against the Browns
start of the second half of Dallas. Guess what. The
Cowboys got the football, So Dak Prescott did defer at
the start of the game, despite the enormous confusion that occurred,
(52:18):
so Dallas did receive the opening kickoff in the second half.
They're up on the Rams seven, facing a second and
five in Rams territory. Really trying to put an end
to that one. Raiders up on the Jaguar six six
at the start of the fourth quarter. Nanners at Falcon's
taint up at ten early in the third and the
Vikings were able to kick a field goal against the
Chargers to ten bolts driving in Minnesota territory with two
(52:42):
forty four left to go in the third quarter. Easy
from Salam, I'm Dan Buyer getting from on Twitter. Addie
from Salam, I'm at Dan Buyern. Fox Coming up next
is a suspension in the works for Bill Belichick over
this latest information acquired by Jay Glazer. We'll talk about
it next year on Fox Sports Zone Radio. Boom. We
can't get fooled again. Snap to Murray, He's gonna give
(53:06):
it to Drake up the middle, and Drake pushing forward
and he is into the end zone for his third
touchdown of the day. The Cardinals are in the holiday
spirits of the Browns. They're giving away touchdowns left and
right to Kenyan Drake. Cardinals Radio Network on that call.
Katie A. R. Arizona leads Cleveland seventeen heading into the
(53:28):
fourth quarter. Also heading into the fourth quarter of the
Vikings the Chargers twenty five ten Raiders continuing that ten
point edge on the Jaguars sixteen to six, eleven and
a half minutes to go in that contest. Niners at
Falcons tied up at ten early in the third and
the Cowboys did add a field goal and now lead
the Rams thirty one to seven with ninety to go
(53:48):
in that third quarter. Joining us now, you can hear
him on Syrias Sex m NFL radio. He's Alex Barvez
joining from Salaman. Myself Dan Buyer here on Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio. Hello, alexaw are you. I'm doing well
and you know, listen, the Oakland Raiders have something with lasers, right.
Maybe it's something to do with a new Star Wars
film coming out this week. But I don't know if
(54:08):
you realize that the official just told fans to stop
pointing lasers at the field, essentially sounding like your second
grade teachers telling you to cut it out, um. But
there have been lasers that have been pointed at the
field in this Oakland Jacksonville game. I think just the
beginning of some real silly stuff to come as the
Raiders wrap up their time in the Bay Area. If
(54:29):
I'm Gardner, Minshew, I'll take any excuse I can get
for why were the Raiders. I want to start with
the topic that I from and I were just discussing,
how much does the video acquired by Jay Glazier of
Fox Sports Now of the incident that happened last week
in Cleveland involving the Bengals in the NFL and the
excuse me, the Patriots in the NFL, how much does
(54:51):
that damage where New England is right now with Walt
transpired last week. Well, I mean, it's in the court
of public opinion, right, I mean, listen, it wasn't like
the NFL hadn't seen this, right, I mean, it wasn't
like Jay was providing something I believe that the league
hadn't seen, you know, And that's I think one of
the big things about it. But I think, you know, look,
it's almost like politics at this point, right where you know,
(55:12):
we're so evenly split on everything, and you could show
the exact same thing to somebody and you can get
two completely different opinions. You still have Patriots folks who say, look,
there's nothing that happened here. You had a videographer who
just shot this stuff. The stuff doesn't mean anything on
the sidelines, and it's a relatively minor thing, and then
you have others to say, no, this is significant because
you just saw a video guy zoom in on the
(55:33):
sideline and it wasn't like a wide shot either to
give a vague impression of what the advance scout does,
which is what the Patriots claimed. Instead, it seems to
be very specifically focused on the signal calling in, you know,
by the Bengals, and when New England about to play
Cincinnati with the first time head coach in Zach Taylor,
someone who the Patriots have never faced before, you would
wonder would you want to try to get a competitive edge?
(55:55):
You know. There's also the thought about does Bill Belichick
know what's going on? You know, and as he insolated,
it sounds almost like the impeachment situation, right, you know,
how much did somebody really know in this situation if
indeed there were nefarious things going on with the with
the Patriots and this videographer. The Boston Globe reporting that
the videographer has been suspended by the Patriots. Next thing,
(56:15):
you know, who moved to Hawaii like the last guy
did twelve years ago. I guys that it's so I
just don't I don't know where this is going because
I want to know, did the Patriots do this elsewhere?
You know? Is this that type of situation? I think
the league is still investigating. Is this a one time
thing and a guy made a mistake and the Patriots
are still going to get some sort of penalty or
is there something bigger at play here? And of course
(56:36):
again it impugnes the Patriots and those that that dislike
this organization and feel that they cheat, and then and
listen their NFL teams that feel the same way. It
just adds more fuel to that fire at this point.
Shouldn't the league really like, I mean, no matter what
the reason is, are the excuse are nothing happened? I
was I was telling Dan, It's like if you go
(56:57):
rob a jewelry store, right, you have a record of burglary.
You go Robert jewelry store. When when you get in
there you realize the vault is logged, they put everything away,
you don't get anything, but on your way out you
get caught. Do we let you go? No? No, I
mean that's the whole thing. And there's a history of
(57:18):
this for this team, and you know, you if you
want to throw the flake gate in there, and as
much as again, folks who defend the Patriots want to
say that, you know, the NFL was trying to railroad
Tom Brady and the Patriots. I mean, the in the
NFL's eyes, it was big enough that Tom Brady was
suspended for four games and it is a blemish on
his Hall of Fame career. So I think, no, that's
I think the NFL should be considering that as part
(57:40):
of this effect. That there's a history of this team
having an issue with trying to steal signs illegally by
videotaping someone else's signline. That's the thing. And you know,
you just don't know though, is it as extensive as
it was before? Right? I mean remember when that there
was the initial spy Gate, the Patriots had files and
extensive videotape catalogs, and if you remember it is Roger
(58:00):
Goodell and Jeff Passed, the attorney for the NFL, who
actually in Foxboro, upon finding this stuff, stomped on it
to destroy the evidence because they didn't want it to
get out anywhere else. I mean, you have to go
back and read a lot of stuff about Spygate to
sort of know that you know the history and remember
what went on twelve years ago with all that in
the Patriots, So no, he from I'm with you. I
(58:20):
mean again, I think because of their history of this,
you know, you can't just say it's an innocent mistake,
even if it is an innocent mistake. I mean, I
think that's why the league has to investigate this and
in their mind truly determined. Are there other instances of
this or is this a one time thing? Or were
they trying to get going again doing something illegal like
this and then the essentially got caught and now they
can't do it again. I'm just so glad it wasn't
(58:40):
video from orchids of Asia. That's all I'm happy about.
That was not the Patriots video that I wanted to
see at all. Alex Breves joining us here on Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. Heasy from Salama. I'm Dan Buyer.
I told e from earlier in this show that I
think the Kansas City Chiefs, and this isn't going out
on a limb, Alex, but I think that the Kansas
City Chiefs of the team that no one wants to
face because it seems like this team has now hit
(59:03):
their stride. I like a team starting to hit their
stride in Week fifteen. Is there something to the Kansas
City Chiefs turning it on later on in the season
now after their twenty three to three went over Denver today. Yeah,
it's the defense, and that's the thing that's got too
excited about this Kansas City Chiefs team, right, I mean,
and they had entered this game playing much better defensively
than what they had in previous seasons there, you know,
(59:24):
and even earlier in the season, they're starting to get
used to what Steve Spagnolo is doing. Frank Clark is
healthy again and able to pressure the quarterback, or at
least healthy year because he had some medical issues a
little bit earlier on. But you know, they dominated the
Broncos the season. They outscored him fifty three to nine.
They slowed down Drew Lock and you know, people can
say mitigating conditions, you know, the snow and all that,
but I think that's the thing that's exciting about this
(59:45):
team is the fact that the defense can complement the offense.
Because let's be honest here, it's not as dynamic Kansas
City attack because of some issues with their running game.
And is Patrick Mahomes truly the same quarterback since he
returned from that knee injury. Statistics will tell you know,
you know, an again, I think it has more to
do with the running game than anything else. But no,
they're a dangerous team. And you know, it's funny because
(01:00:06):
you know, when you look at how they struggle at
Arrowhead Stadium earlier this year, I don't know if playing
at home truly gives them a huge edge, you know
what I mean. I think this is a team that
can go on the road like they did in Foxboro
and win. And I think that's the thing that they
are a scary team. Big question is, though, do they
get one of those top two seeds or their number
three seed you know, you know, in this in this conference,
(01:00:27):
and then have some challenges ahead in that regard. But hey, listen,
i'll tell you for for right now though, for Kansas City,
you know, they've secured that division and now we'll see
if they get a little bit of help along the way,
maybe from the Buffalo Bills coming up in Week sixteen,
if they can knock off the Patriots. Let me ask
you this, Watching the Philadelphia Eagles play today, that game
(01:00:48):
next week between them and the Cowboys, I can't wrap
my head around it. Neither one of these teams, in
my opinion, deserve to be in the playoff, win a
vision and have a home game. But when I'm watching
Carson Wentz, his awareness, his pocket presence and awareness and
(01:01:09):
year four is rudimentary. Like he puts himself in in
situations with fumbling the ball. I believe he at two
or three today that you just can't do that. You
have to be more aware in the pocket of of
of when when, when, when trouble comes in. It's just
like he doesn't even know he's just there, right, And
(01:01:31):
that's something Listen, Jameis Winston had and I'm using past
tense here had the same issue. He's getting better at
it right and knowing, Okay, if I'm gonna pier it
around in the pocket, you know I'm gonna that's a
bad thing. And I may fumble, and I may get
hit from an unusual angle and I may not see
a defender and I'm gonna lose the ball. And I
agree with you, But is it fixable? I think so,
I think in that case, and I think that's got
(01:01:52):
to be a top priority for the Eagles when they
assess their coaching staff in the offseason, if they if
they make a change at the quarterback coach position, or
they look points that they want to emphasize to help
Carson Wentz take the next step in his NFL career.
But look, I mean the Eagles, they did get the
job done today, and they did it in under such
adverse circumstances. I mean even they went into the game
with three wide receivers. That was it. Three that's all
(01:02:14):
the only healthy bodies that they had. And I know
we can you know say the Washington Redskins are are
not a very good team, and I agree with you
on that, but they're they played much better in the
second half of the season and there and the Eagles
are playing on the road despite all those green jerseys
in the stands, and they were still able to win
that game. So and with Dallas what they're doing right
now against the Rams, you know, look at the Cowboys
finished the season with three straight wins, and I don't
(01:02:35):
think that's inconceivable either. Then we're going to feel that
there are much more playoff worthy team than what we've
seen in the past three weeks, which was some pretty
horrific footboll Okay, with that said, who's winning that game,
and who's winning the division next? Dallas, I think at
this point, I mean, I just think Philadelphia is so
dilapidated because of injuries. I really do. I mean, listen,
I don't want to dismiss it though, because I think
(01:02:55):
it will be. I mean, I think it's gonna be
an interesting game. Let's put it like that. And I
want to see how the Cowboys game from this RAMS
game from an injury standpoint, knock on wood that nobody
else gets hurt for them, just because I don't want
to see anybody else gets hurt get hurt. But I
think you're talking about a Cowboys team right now that
has more weapons. I mean, they can do more. And
I just don't know if the Eagles really I mean,
you know, I know, Dallas, the defense hasn't been playing well.
(01:03:16):
They're doing a great job today. I just don't know
if the Eagles have enough firepower to stay with the Cowboys.
Alex Barvez joining us, I want to wrap up with
this game. Texans go to Nashville beat the Titans, kind
of putting what happened last week against Denver in the
rear view mirror. Does does this solidify the Texans is
the class of the a f C South. Nothing will
ever solidify the texts in my mind until they win
(01:03:37):
a Super Bowl. They're so inconsistent, so inconsistent, I mean,
you don't know what you get from week to week, right,
and next week they faced Jamie's Winston and Jamie's went
a little bit of NFL history today, guys, And I'm
sure if you're aware of this, the first quarterback in
the one year history of this league to pass for
more than four hundred fifty yards in consecutive games. I
mean they and listen, I know all the wide receivers
have I mean, think about that, and all the wide receivers,
(01:03:59):
by the way, have hey amstring injuries. I mean, so
you know, be curious to see who's even able to
play it wide receiver for Tampa Bay on Saturday to
take advantage of that poorest Houston secondary. But that being said,
I just don't trust the Texans. I can't. I can't
trust them until they actually make it to an an
FC title game or make it to a Super Bowl.
I mean, it's just because it's two up there, two
down from week to week. I'll tell you what the
(01:04:20):
crippling loss for Tennessee because they lose tiebreakers against Houston.
And I think, if I'm not mistaken, that Houston can
start putting the finishing touches on that division next week.
If if Tennessee loses to New Orleans and if Houston
is able to take care of business in Tampa Bay
because they have a better division record, they're guaranteed a
better division record, I believe right now. So they're gonna
need the Texas to lose two straight games if the
(01:04:42):
Tennessee is gonna catch and the window well, and and
then I'll just I'll i will wrap up with this.
Who do you think teams are the A f C
are more afraid of if it came down to this
in the playoffs, the Steelers are the Titans. I mean, look,
I think it's Tennessee is a more well rounded team.
And you know, when when Derrick Henry gets rolling, you know,
Ryan Fannehill play some good football. I mean, that's the thing.
(01:05:03):
But you know what, Pittsburgh's defense can be dominant of sorts.
But we don't we don't know how much body of
work do we have from Duck Hodges, right, I mean
three games and listen, he's one of them. We've never
had an undrafted college free agent quarterback in his rookie
season when his first four starts. That would be history
tonight if he does that against the Buffalo Bills. But
you know, is that offense really, at the end of
the day in playoff football good enough to complement a
(01:05:25):
defense that is super Bowl worthy? I don't know if
I don't think pittsburgher Tennessee either. Quite honestly, he is
going to have what it takes to make a deep
postseason run. There it is Alex Barvez. Find about Twitter
at Alex Barvez here um on sirius x M NFL Radio.
And just as we say, that's another touchdown in Arizona.
Thanks Alex, will do it again a week sixteen. Thank you, gentlemen.
Appreciate you both. All right, easy from Salam, I'm Dan Bayer.
(01:05:46):
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio Company Live from
the Guy Go, Fox Sports Radio Studios. I didn't want
to give away the answer because David Gascon's the answer
man when it comes to all this what's happening in
the late games in week fifteen days. I got a
bone to pick with you, man, G What's that I
found a well I was confessed to me by a
colleague that he has an all expensive paid trip week
(01:06:07):
seventeen to the Pacific Northwest. Ben Maller's got a bunch
of groupies that are paying from to go up there
for the Seahawks, Seahawks Niners. Yeah. Why aren't you going
up there? Because I'll be here week seven man. Yeah,
that's that's what what I'll be doing. Right. Well, have
you been? Have you been? You've never been? Never been
(01:06:28):
to a game in Seattle? Are you serious? But you've
been a Super Bowls? Yeah? So you've been a Super
Bowls in college? You've been in college football playoffs or bcs, yes, yeah, yeah,
And you've been to major golf majors, tennis majors. No.
I would like to though. That is actually something that
I would like to mark off the list. It's tough, though,
because I think the US opens what at the beginning
(01:06:50):
of September the US Yeah, it was always the when
school started, so the last week of August going into September.
But yeah, and you gotta go to Seattle, man, I
know you gotta do it. I know a guy on
the team will look you up every return to your text.
That's the only did I said him one earlier and
he hit me back right away. Trust me, guy, put
(01:07:13):
the pressure on him on you know, live on national radio.
Dwayne Brown joined us earlier. And by the way, I
wouldn't want to put e from in a situation that
would put him in a situation that would put Dwayne
Brown in a situation to get tickets, Like I think
there's too many there's too many steps along the way
to be like, you know, like do you really want
to cash in the favor for Dan Buyer? I hadn't,
(01:07:35):
you know, like I, I don't know if it's worth it,
So I didn't want to put him in that situation.
All good, All good, guys. Got a handful of games
that are going on right now, the one in particular
Los Angeles, it's one side of right now. After passing,
he dropped the ball to be picked up by a
five game pouching around Fiffy, don't care about Heaven. Fifty
to the forty to fifty six yards defensive touchdown down
(01:08:09):
Now they're up right now, thirty two ten over the
l A Chargers, one side of fair, and this one.
San Francisco and Atlanto in a dog fight right now.
Forty Niners lead thirteen to ten. George Kittle does have
ten receptions for ninety four yards in this ball game.
Oakland by ten over Jacksonville sixteen and six in Dallas
is pummeling the l A Rams thirty one to seven guys,
which is even more compelling this ball game because when
(01:08:32):
the line opened up earlier this week, Cowboys were actually
favorites by four points, I believe, and then by the
end of the week it turned out that l A
was a favorite by a point and a half, so
that was a lofty swing one way, and the Cowboys
now are just dominating this affair. Keep in mind that
there's five hundred at six and seven, but they didn't
need to keep pace with Philadelphia, which one earlier today
as well thirty seven and twenty seven, and the other
(01:08:53):
game you guys are talking about to Arizona right now,
stomping the Browns thirty five to seventeen. Kyler Murray on
the day nineteen and twenty three for two nineteen yards
then also one TD So the Eagles one, New England
one again. They beat the Bengals, Seahawks covered, they beat
the air push, They beat the Panthers by six three
to twenty four. Texans got a big one at Tennessee.
(01:09:13):
Dever got bliss blasted by Kansas City thirty or twenty
three to three. Buccaneers got four and fifty eight yards
and four more touchdowns from Jamis Winston to beat the
Lines thirty eight to seventeen. Giants thirty six twenty over
the Dolphins. The Packers win one to thirteen, sending of
States tenant of this season in college basketball. Back, I
love it. What do you think the first in the West?
(01:09:37):
What do you like that introduction? There? Dad, Dad, you
weren't here? But uh uh e from came on? Well?
I think who was it? Crisper Sard and Rob Parker?
So I said the first question needs to be asked
with from what does he think about his Aztecs? What
do you think about the mass text? Come on? Now,
I'm just t And then I like Dave had a
(01:09:57):
bone to pick with me? And then I don't even
know what I did wrong because you haven't been up there.
Yeah guy, yeah, and you've been everywhere mad at me.
Just hey, what do you want me to do? Well? Listen,
you know what, you know what? Because you love honey,
you know what but they were Gascon. I am on
his bad side. We need to go to Seattle right now.
But you are. You are a sports historian and you're
(01:10:19):
also a big sports collected to like little helmets you got,
you have drink it rink collected. I'd collect mini helmets.
Student has everything. He's been everywhere for sporting events, and
he hasn't been to his home team's backyards. Same. I also,
I also have a bit jaded now in in paying
for anything because of to go to some thanks for
(01:10:42):
free where it's like, okay, let's let's let's let's pick
our spots here. But you know the week seven team
matchup that could be the one that is flexed to
Sunday night football because of what could be on the line.
What's what's unique about that is that the loser of
that game then goes on the road to have to
play if if if things play out the way that
(01:11:05):
we think it's going to play out, you play a
Sunday night game and then the loser would end up
having to go on the road for the wild card
while the winner, Yeah, I could sit at home and
watch the first week of the NFL playoffs, depending on
certain what would have to happen. I would I would
think that San Francisco has to lose today against the Falcons.
If no, if the Seahawks beat if these both, if
(01:11:27):
both teams went out heading into their Week seventeen matchup,
if the Seahawks win that game, they would win the
tiebreaker because they beat the Niners twice. So that's what's
that's what's key. The Rams have the Niners on Saturdays.
We had Charles Davison, he'll be on the call of
that game. That game is going to be in Santa Clara.
The Seahawks have the Arizona Cardinals and maybe eight weeks
(01:11:50):
ago that was thought to be uh, it's just Arizona
Cardinals are taking it to the Browns. Kenyan Drake's got
four touchdowns today, so they'll have that in Week sixteen.
And as they said, the Seas having a tough time
stopping certain teams. Bobby Wagner had to leave their game
because of a knee issue. Was a little scary situation.
But no Jadevian Clowney today, no Ziggyanza. But when it
(01:12:10):
comes down to it, if the Niners win there today
and then they win next week, and the Seahawks went
next week against the Cardinals. That's what's gonna be for
the division in week seventeen, and that would be the
likely the flex of course. I mean, no other game
would be that important with that much on the line,
I don't think in Week seventeen, So that'd be exciting.
(01:12:31):
The Jaguars s getting within three points of the Raiders
in the final game in Oakland. Did you like playing
in Oakland? No? It was terrible. You didn't. You didn't.
The worst part of it was before the A's had
their own place and you had to play on that
dirt and it was a It was a unique diamonds
set up because in previous NFL stadiums that were shared
(01:12:55):
it used to be just like in the corner. This
one was smack dab in the middle of the like
literally no way around it. At some point you were
gonna get dirt burn on your arms. I was in
footing was awful, trying to stop a bullrush on dirt.
How intimidago was the black hole? I was all right,
(01:13:15):
I mean before the games was bad. When they were
doing batteries at the old ladies in their eighties were
flipping you off and spitting on the but I mean,
you know, but outside of that, you know, it's like whatever,
they're in the stand. So no matter what they say,
it doesn't you know, it has no effect. It's just
a bunch of fanatics. Would would show the pads with
(01:13:39):
spikes on them, the battery throwing elderly women put the
silver and silver and black. That's that's where it came from.
Easy from Salava, I'm dan buy a recompany life from
the getic Fox Sports Radio studios. It's easy to say
more on curR in shirts. We got go to get
dot Comma call eight hundred nine for seven auto. The
only hard part figuring out which way is easier. It's
(01:14:00):
week fifteen. It's fantasy time. How are you doing today?
From What's are you emotionally okay? Okay, I'm I'm doing okay?
There there it is a It has been a high
scoring week in the National Football League and that means
points everywhere. How is your fantasy football team affected? We'll
(01:14:22):
have the answer. That's next. Easy from Salam I'm dan buyer.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Third and all
from the two or Smith Junior in motion I formation
handoff Boom and it's two for Boom touchdown. Oh man,
Kay fan Minneapolis, the Vikings radio network on that call.
(01:14:46):
It is all Minnesota today. Taking it to the Chargers
thirty nine to ten. Midway through the fourth quarter. The Cowboys,
they're taking it to the Rams thirty one to seven
at the start of the fourth quarter, while the Niners
have just punted it no take that back. The Falcons
have just punted it back to the Niners. San Francisco
up thirteen to ten early in the fourth quarter, the
(01:15:06):
Cardinals behind. Uh yeah, well we'll get to this in
a little bit. What a day for Kenyan Drake to seventeen.
The Cardinals lead the Browns with five eighteen to go.
More and more, the job status of Freddie Kitchens gets
less and less secure with each passing week. This is
this is a tough one to I can understand this.
(01:15:28):
The Browns had expectations. Things didn't go their way this year.
They were eliminated from the playoff contention. Uh basically, I
mean they still they still had a shot, but it
was going to be a long shot. Cardinals maybe a
team that's on the rise. Two ships passing in the night.
At least in the nineteen NFL season, Cardinals just seemed
like they wanted to be there. Maybe not so much
(01:15:49):
with the Browns outside of Nick Chubb. I think the
Browns have a problem of over are underestimating teams that
they think they have better talent than. And that's you know,
usually reserved for really good teams. So when a bad
team or mediocre team underestimates people in plays down, they
(01:16:11):
can't get themselves out of out of that. They can't
fight back and be like they can't snap out of
it because they're not even good enough to do that.
So I think it's more so of the mental mindset
of this team that you know, perpetuates the struggles that
we've been seeing from them this year. Even the New
(01:16:31):
England game. Look at that game, the first three possessions
they gave the ball to New England, Like, I mean,
you just mentally, they're just not on par Like they
thought they were going to come into Arizona and just
roll over these foul of these um Cardinals. Obviously that's
not the case. Arizona is trying to build on next year,
(01:16:52):
is trying to put something together. Guys are playing for jobs, right,
we know, Kyler Murray and Kenyan Drake are gonna be bad.
But outside of that, guys are trying to find a
place on this team and that's why they're playing so hard.
We don't know if Larry Fitzgerald is going to be back.
This could be his final. Uh, this will be his
(01:17:12):
final to him at this point. I mean, he could
be governor, right, and so if he decides to come back,
then he can come back. I'm not sure he will,
but I don't know. He's having a great year, he's
having fun. You know, it depends on what else he's
got going on. And here's the thing that stands out
to me about Larry Fitzgerald from and you can tell
me if I'm crazy or if it makes sense, but
(01:17:34):
in what we consider the passing era of the NFL,
he stood out more than anyone. I mean, I mean, like,
like we could say passing around guys numbers are you know,
inflated to whatever they are. But he's better than everybody
in my opinion. In his prime, he he rivaled Jerry Rice.
(01:17:56):
That's that's how dynamic a receiver he will us, can
run any route, could block, could do he do anything.
And he's not a small guy, right, Jerry Rice was
a small guy. But when I watched Larry Fitzgerald play.
He's the ultimate team guy, willing to do anything. You'll
never catch him walking off the ball uh and walking
(01:18:18):
through run plays are not giving his all or complaining
that he's not getting the ball. He's never been that guy.
So in an era of wide open passing, I put
him extremely high on that list. He's here from Salam.
I'm Dan Buyer. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio Company.
A lot from the guy go Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Cowboys have added a field goal now up thirty seven
(01:18:40):
on the RAMS two minute warning. Raiders trying to run
out the clock against the Jaguar sixteen to thirteen in
the final game in Oakland for the Silver and Black.
Let's get to your fantasy studs for Week fifteen of
the National Football League season started on Thursday night. I
think there are a lot of teams that felt that
who had Lamar Jackson on their NFAC team, that felt
(01:19:01):
all right, this is how you start the fantasy playoffs.
He had over two hundred yards passing five touchdowns, also
eighty six yards on the ground. You probably felt good
if you didn't play against Jamis Winston and you had
Lamar Jackson that's because Winston today four hundred and fifty
eight yards, four passing touchdowns, was picked off, but only once.
There's only one time today against the Detroit Lions here
(01:19:26):
at Alex Marvez earlier. The first quarterback in NFL history
to throw back to back four hundred and fifty yard games.
And usually from those games are losses because you're down.
The Buccanteers won both of them, and one last week
against the Colts, and then they won today against the Lions.
Patrick Mahomes three hundred and forty yards and two touchdowns
for Kansas City. What about on the ground, Kenyan Drake
(01:19:48):
one hundred and thirty seven yards and four touchdowns in Arizona.
The David Johnson era in Arizona is done with, isn't
it now? I mean, considering what Kenyan Drake has now
been able to. It was since he was brought over
from the Dolphins. And how about that it's over? Makea
Fitzpatrick excelling with the Steelers, Kenyan Drake excelling with the Cardinals,
(01:20:10):
Larrmie Tomsul seems to Miami had all those players and
wanted to quit and wanted to rebuild. And that's the
stake they had those players with Larry Fitzpatrick, I mean
Larry Fitzpatrick, Ryan Patrick, they might have been all right. Yeah, yeah, Still,
they gave the Giants a little bit of fight today
(01:20:31):
and Eli Mannings could be his swan song with the
Giants mentioned Kenyan Drake's day. Christian McCaffrey another big day
eighty seven yards on the ground, also had eight catches
for eighty eight yards, scored twice. Miles Sanders for the
Eagles a touchdown on the ground, a touchdown receiving as well,
six catches for fifty yards and that score to go
along with his nineteen carries for one d and twenty
(01:20:52):
two yards for Shod Perriman. Yeah, he caught three of
Jamis Winston's four touchdown passes today for the Buccaneers in
their win against the Lions. Terry McLaurin had five catches
in the score for the Redskins today and that lost
to the Philadelphia Egos. Those of your fantasy studs for
Week fifteen in the National Football League, the Rams are Yeah,
(01:21:14):
it's pretty much over today, but there is still hope
for a playoff. Berth as slim as it. Maybe we'll
get down to those scenarios coming up next hour and
the forty Niners and Falcons playing a tight one in
Santa Clara. A little bit more maybe on the line
than people realize for this game, just considering how things
may play out for the NFC West and the Niners
will have the Rams coming to town in a short
(01:21:35):
week on Saturday. Easy from Salam. I'm Dan Buyer. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. What's the biggest storyline
that's gonna be transferred to the playoffs that happen today?
We'll tell you next. The sun is starting to set
on week fifteen. Could the Raiders go out a loser
in their swan song in Oakland? The Janguar is facing
(01:21:55):
a second and goal at the Raiders four yard line
right now. It's really the only close game we've got.
We do have the Niners taking a lead on the Falcons,
extending their lead to nine. It's nineteen to ten nine
as the Falcons with nine three to go. Welcome in
everyone but the Oakland Raiders. Hey, this may be fitting
(01:22:16):
from in the final game in the Oakland Colosseum, the
final game of the City of Oakland. The Jaguars are
in the heading towards the end zone where the black
hole is and this could be the black holes final
stance in trying to get a stop as the Raiders
are holding on to a three point lead against jal
from the four yard line. Black hole, that's downsh mania,
(01:22:43):
Oh my goodness. A touchdown pass this, by the way,
a loss today would eliminate the Raiders from playoff contention.
So will there be Colosseum magic with thirty one seconds
left as the Jaguars score on a touchdown pass? That
(01:23:05):
is it? Is it fitting that it was scored against
the Raiders in the black hole end zone that it
could end like this? Very much? So? The I mean
there were there were more downtimes in Oakland this last this, Yeah,
there was. There was the there was the high point
of making it to what super Bowl thirty seven and
(01:23:28):
that was that was about it. That was that's you.
Then we know how that turned out with with John Gurdon.
I think it was Alex Marvez who said that Gridon
was calling out the plays and the audibles when the
Raiders were running them in that Super Bowl. That's the
high point. But this could be the swan song that
we see in Oakland as the Jaguars have added the
extra point and it's now sixteen. The couple of games
(01:23:52):
that we thought were going to be the games of
the day from turned out anything but the Vikings dominating
the Chargers thirty nine to ten. That one. Now the
Vikings just end up needing to take a knee and
running out the clock and the Cowboys getting a thirty
four to seven. Well, they have seven lead on the
Rams right now with eight thirty left to go in
this contest. They are them Boys. But isn't this fitting
(01:24:17):
that them Boys gnna win in really kind of a
meaningless game because it all comes down to next week
for Dallas, and you would have to beat the Redskins
in week seventeen. If if let's say, you falter today,
but the Cowboys can put it away next week against
the Eagles. I know you want to play your best,
but I mean for them to really turn it around
(01:24:39):
against this Rams team and do this and have this
sort of effort surprising in the least for me today.
Yeah it is. And uh it's not a meaningless game.
It's not one for them coming off three losses in
the row. This game meant everything. This game meant all
the momentum and the writing of the up going into
(01:25:01):
that big game. You couldn't come off four losses in
the role and go into that Philadelphia Eagles game with
any type of confidence. Are any type of belief and
the leadership of Jason Garrett. So this game meant everything
to the Dallas Cowboys season, although in the standings and
in the division it didn't, but this was this. They
(01:25:23):
needed this, They needed this going into that game next week. Um,
and you know it's gonna play out right right before
our eyes and it's gonna be exciting. We are a
company allied for the geicoed Fox Sports Radio Studios fifteen minutes.
Save more on car insurchch VisiC geo dot com for

wasted nine seconds on a play they have at second
(01:25:45):
down and ten at their own eighteen yard line. They
do have one time out, but they're down four to
the Jaguars. As we are taking you to the final
and filling you in on what's happening in the final
plays all the Raiders time in Oakland, Derek Carr just
bought too much time and never got rid of the
ball trying to make a big play and ends up
wasting nine seconds. I'd say that it's a reasonable chance
(01:26:08):
from but you've got to make sure that every second
is valuable. Yes, and a pass to Darren Waller is incomplete,
but a flag is on the play. Derek Carr threw
it between four Jaguar defenders, and now we may have
a pass interference call, which would be nice to have,
considering we haven't complained about pass interference penalties today, but
(01:26:31):
it did look like Darren Waller was trying to go
back to the ball. This would set the ball up
near midfield from with thirteen seconds left and allow at
least the the Raiders on the past interference calling Ronnie
Harrison that to at least attempt a Hail Mary's. So
you're saying there's a chance, I am saying there's a chance.
And pass interference. I don't know if you can call that,
(01:26:54):
but they did, and now the Raiders have it first down.
Look one more of those yet in the end zone.
They get you on the one yard line, and they
did throw it to the forty yard line where they'll
call time out. Does that do anything? There's gaining ten
yards and calling time out. Now with now it's easier
throw to the end zone. Okay, now your guys can
get there faster, so you can maybe get two plays
(01:27:16):
out of it. Cowboys did add a field go there
up thirty seven and seven on the Rams. Were watching
the Falcons drive as well on the forty. But Atlanta
is down nine with about six minutes to go in
that contest. It's nineteen to ten forts so now eight
seconds do you try to get a quick five and
go to the sidelines to get you want to go
to the end zone. You gotta try to win the game.
(01:27:37):
Right here, Darren Waller is a big target. Ten seconds left.
They put two seconds back on the clock. In Oakland,
the black hole is I would say they're on the
ends of their seats, but they're not sitting, so they
they they are standing in the black hole. This is
the final ten seconds of football in Oakland. Now they're
(01:27:58):
gonna say it's nine seconds. Hu Leo Jones almost caught
a touchdown in Atlanta. So Derek Carr is able to
survey the field and does chuck one up into the
end zone and it has batted down with two seconds.
That's why that's important because now if they weren't on
the fifty, those guys would have been able to get
down are the forty, they wouldn't have been able to
(01:28:19):
get to the to the end zone in time, and
that would have been the last play of the game.
So those yards, yeah, they ended up mattering for sure.
And now now here it is. This is no matter
unless there's a defensive penalty. This is the last play
in Oakland, in the history of the Oakland Raiders, in
(01:28:42):
the city of Oakland. We're here. This role last play.
This is David Carr drops back. He lets it go
up high in the car. But hey, it's all good,
I said, Derek. That's all right, you said David. But
it's all good. And tts D because I used to
(01:29:04):
block to David. I know you did. That's that's all right.
Incomplete batted down and that's it. The Jaguars leave Oakland
a winner, and that is it for the Raiders tenure
in Oakland. Had two more games left on the season,
but the finale tickets are going about four times their value.
(01:29:24):
For the black Hole. Today they got to witness minshoe
Mania right in front of them and personnel. The Falcons
are driving against the forty niners and now they're in
the end zone nineteen to sixteen, five fifteen left to go,
and the Falcons will try to kick the extra point
here as they were able to cash it in. And
(01:29:45):
so while we were focusing on what was happening with Oakland,
the the Falcons ended up making their way eight. The
forty Niners have this game, and you would you wouldn't
fault them for looking ahead for what they have ahead
because they have the Ms and Seahawks, and maybe in
the grand scheme of things, how things play out, this
(01:30:05):
game isn't as important to the forty Niners, but it
may have other ramifications down the line when it comes
to home field advantage. When it comes to first round buys,
you've got green Bay sitting there at eleven and three,
You've got the Saints, and you know the Fortyners have
a win over them, but you have the Saints sitting
there as well. They would move back up on the
or they would be even with the Fortys in the
(01:30:26):
lost count. So there's stuff to stuff that still is
is uh at stake of that Fortys team. But a
nineteen to seventeen contest against the Fortys after doing what
they did a week ago, I from I can't fault
them for what happened today, and I know each week
is different, but doing what they did last week to
the Saints and maybe having a bit of a letdown
(01:30:47):
considering what they have up, this could be one of
those trap games. Well, I don't know if it's a
trap game because I don't know if they've been good
enough to overlook teams. This is a team trying to
assert its dominance in the NFC, so any success is
great success. So they don't have a history of winning
as of late, So overlooking teams when you're trying not
(01:31:09):
to be bad, that doesn't happen, right every team, every
game means a lot. When we were fourteen and two
my rookie year in Atlanta, we won eleven straight games
all the way up to the super Bowl. It was
never a time, no matter what the team's record was,
did we overlook them Because we were so focused on
us changing the narrative of of of who we used
(01:31:31):
to be that we decided that every single game matters.
So I don't I think there may be they may
be tired. I think they may be a little tired.
That was a very emotional game uh last week and
I think that you know, it happens, it's late in
the year, guys are banged up, it's it's it's what happens. This,
(01:31:51):
this is this is the only reason why. I just
I do think that there could be a little let
down for what they just did the last three weeks.
Green Bay, Baltimore, New Orleans. I mentioned you've got the
the Rams next week, you got the Seahawks after that.
No disrespect of the Falcons, And maybe there may be
a little more with it with Kyle Shanahan facing off
(01:32:12):
against Dan Quinn, who was once the offensive coordinator when
they went to Super Bowl fifty one. Maybe there's there's
a little bit juice to that. But when you see
what they've gone through the last three weeks, it's just man,
it's it's tough. It's it's tough to get up every
single week, right. I mean, when the team comes in
at with four wins and you've just gone through the
(01:32:33):
gauntlet that you did, you have another one that you
have to navigate to try to get through. I I
don't necessarily fault them. I could see why maybe you
come out a little flat. Huh, you don't you buy it?
And no, I don't because I think Number one, the
Atlanta Falcons team that we've seen the last few weeks
is not the Atlanta Foulcons team we started to hear
(01:32:53):
with by any stretch of the imagination. They've been pushing
teams to the limit. They've been playing harder and better,
and uh no, of course not. But this is the
team that beat the Saints, you know, beat the Panthers twice.
So this is a team that's trying to find his
way once once again. Guys that look, they're trying to
find their you know, their job right, their jobs on
(01:33:17):
the line, and that is the sentiment in the locker room.
We're gonna see who wants to play, We're gonna see
who wants to be here. All of that is going
on in those locker rooms. So these guys are the
Falcons are playing hard? How they really are? How much?
There's the familiarity with the two coach does right, So
Dan Quinn knows Kyle Shanan and what he wants to run.
(01:33:38):
Uh So that also evens the playing playing field. You're
playing chess against someone you play chess with, uh for years,
you know, so now you have to you know, it's
a it's a duel and it's a It actually turned
to be a good game. It's a good game now
with four forty five left in the game, Niners up
nineteen to seventeen over the Falcons with the ball, second
(01:34:00):
down and six. Uh, the Niners are driving. Falcons do
have two time outs left. We'll let you know what
happens on this second down play and then we'll bring
you the conclusion of that. But Jimmy Garoppolo today, uh,
just having one of those so so days, if you will.
Eighteen sixty yards and a touchdown for San Francisco. They're
(01:34:23):
gonna be fair now. They got the first down on
the rheem most it run. It'll be first in ten
with four minutes to go. So the Niners trying to
milk this thing out, whereas the Cowboys they're just surfing
to a victory over the Rams. Thirty seven and seven
left to go. Those are the only two games going
on right now in Week fifteen in the NFL season.

Week fifteen winding down as the forty Niners are going
to attempt a field goal on fourth and two up
to on the Falcons minute fifty two to go. So
when we last checked in, the Niners had the ball
in their own territory. They were able to take some
time off the clock get into a Falcons territory. But
(01:35:38):
the Falcons defense gets to stop. And now we'll hope
that Robbie Gold will miss on a forty three yard
field goal. I know he's good as gold. He usually
he usually is good is Gold and there he is.
I don't know if it's gaming from it's only a
five point lead. Matt Ryan's gonna take the field against
(01:36:01):
his former offensive coordinator down five with a minute forty
eight to go, and the Falcons do have one time out.
Cowboys putting the finishing touches on there went against the
Rams seven and fifteen, getting an on side kick. Rams
have three time outs, I hope to goodness from they
don't take them down by twenty two. Just end it
for all of us. You're like, let's that's all right,
(01:36:23):
you know, like, let's just move on. If there's time
on the clock, Sam on the clock, all right? Yeah,
And the line for the San Francisco Atlanta game was
ten and a half points. The Falcons were saved that
time out time out, I believe because George Kittle ran
(01:36:43):
a pass play and was running and then fumbled the
ball and ended up recovering it. For what the ref
set out of bounds, which stopped the clock, could have
forced the Falcons to use the time out, putting owners
ended up having to kick that field goal. So we'll
keep you up today. Are you ready to to really
form at your your Super Bowl winning type of team
from it's blind resume times. A'm gonna have Bobo strike
(01:37:06):
up some music because we did this last week with
quarterbacks and we're gonna do a little something different. I'm
gonna give you two scenarios, and the one that you
don't pick I'm gonna tell you what team it is.
I have a list here of playoff capable teams and
the three categories we are using our total yards on
offense and where they rank in the NFL, rushing yards
(01:37:28):
on offense in the NFL, and points allowed by a defense.
So I'm gonna give you the three ranks of the
two teams, and you have to tell me which team
you would like, and the one you don't pick, I
will reveal to you, and then at the end we'll
tell you which team you's stuck with. Does that make sense?
All right? So the first off, this team ranks fifteenth
in total yards this season there twenty three and rushing,
(01:37:51):
but first and points allowed. Would you take that team
or a team that is fifth in total yards on offense,
third and rushing and twenty points allowed? Who would you take?
The second one? The one that's fifth in total yards
and third and rushing. Okay, you did not take the
New England Patriots, who are first in points allowed but
offensively bit of h you know, holding back? Okay? So
(01:38:16):
now you have the team right now that's fifth in
total yards, third and rushing, and twenty seconds in points allowed.
You can take that team or the team that is
twelfth in total yards, sixteenth in yards rushing, and seventeenth
in points allowed, so a little bit better in points allowed,
but below in the offensive ranks. I'm taking the first. Okay,
(01:38:36):
you just passed up the Saints, so you're still keeping
the team that's fifth in total yards, third and rushing
in twenty two points a lot. What about this team
that's eleventh in total yards, fourth in yards rushing this season,
but seventh in points allowed? Would you take that team
or the team that is fifth in total yards, third
and rushing yards in twenty second and points allowed? So
(01:38:59):
five third and twenty second or eleventh, fourth and seventh,
eleven worth and seventh. Okay, I'm taking eleven, fourth and seven.
That would be the team that you had held onto
for a little while with the Seattle Seahawks. Yeah. So,
so now you've traded in the Seahawks for this brand
new model. Now you've got the team that is eleventh
(01:39:20):
in total yards, fourth and rushing and seventh and points allowed.
By the way, the Falcons are facing a second and
two within minute eleven to go, all right, do you
want the team that's eleventh and totally yards fourth and
rushing or seventh in points allowed? Or do you want
the team that's twenty three in total offense, seventeenth and
rushing and thirteenth and points allowed? So yeah, you should
(01:39:42):
because the other team is just doesn't match up, and
that other team is the Packers. So the Packers are
twenty three entering week fifteen. By the way, Julio Jones
a big catch. Fifty seconds to go. We're actually gonna
halt our game to take you. So what's happening yet?
Just balance? Falcons still have a time out out. Matt
Ryan trying to I don't know, spin some magic is
(01:40:05):
able to scramble to the fifteen yard line with thirty
five seconds left and the Falcons are down five points.
You have one time out. Okay, they did call timeouts.
That's that's all right. Let's do it. So you have
the team right now that's eleventh in total yards, fourth
and rushing and seventh and points allowed. Would you rather
(01:40:25):
have that team or the team that sixth in total yards,
seven in rushing yards in thirteen and points alloud? Okay,
you passed up the Kansas City Chiefs. That's you gave
away more of a passing team. High in total yards
but not rushing. All right, do you want to know what?
Who do I get? I give you one more scenario.
(01:40:49):
You've got the team that's eleventh in total yards, fourth
and rushing, and seventh and points allowed. Or would you
take the team that second in total yards, first in
yards rushing, and fifth and points allowed. I'll take that. Yeah, yeah,
you would the team that you held on the longest,
the Minnesota Vikings. Yeah, so this statistically wise with all
these playoff teams. Yet, I'll tell you after the second player,
(01:41:15):
Matt Ryan and the Falcons with thirty four seconds left
to go, he's in the end zone. Austin Hooper was
the target through into triple coverage who was incomplete. Okay,
so would you rather have the team that second in
total yards? Already pick? I'm at the end. Well, there's
there's one more scenario. Would you rather have the team
that second in total yards, first and rushing and fifth
end points allowed? Or the team that's fourth in total yards,
(01:41:37):
second and rushing and third in points allowed. It's basically
the same team. Yeah, I'm gonna stick with you. Took
the Baltimore Ravens. Niners were the last one. Yeah, those
two teams. So yeah, third and one for the Falcons.
I'm pretty good at this game. Just surprised you said
(01:41:59):
on the Kings as long as you did. Matt Ryan
finds Julio Jones at the five yard line, they're gonna
have to go up and spike it. They got the
first down, but Matt Ryan's calling a plays, not spiking it.
With fifteen seconds and counting, They're just gonna run a
play throwing into Julio Jones instead of and Matt Ryan throw. Oh,
(01:42:22):
DeVante Freeman was in the area eight seconds left, man,
I was I'm all for spiking it there. I don't
think you spike it. You get three downs because you
know that was the first down. Play goodness, grace. The
Falcons will have eight seconds. It'll be a second down.
(01:42:43):
Doesn't really matter though, but eight seconds at the four
yard line and the Falcons have no more time outs
actually make it the five yard line. Forty Niners, I
believe are going to call a time Do you like
a time out on defense in this situation? Uh? Yeah,
if you don't have the right defense, yes, I do
(01:43:04):
the Again, this is this forty Niners game is a
big deal for the landscape of the entire NFC. It
may not be as big for the NFC West. Even
if the forty Niners would lose this game and lose
next week and the Seahawks would win next week, they
still would have a chance to pull even with the
(01:43:24):
Seahawks and would come down to certain tiebreakers to sort
that out. This is one. If you're San Francisco at
eleven and two with the best record in the conference,
you don't want to let slip through your fingers. So
now the Falcons will take the field. The Cowboys games
still going on on the RAMS. We'll get a check
in with David Gascon and all the week fifteen action.
But second and goal from and Julio Jones goes in motion.
(01:43:48):
We know the issues with Julio Jones in the end
zone when it comes to short yardage place for the
Falcons and it is caught by Austin Hooper the time
stefp for the Falcons. Was that a catch? Did he
catch that on his He's like, like, I think he
(01:44:09):
caught it with his quads. I think he did. Even
he can't believe it. Even Austin Hooper can't believe it. Wow,
Oh that ball hit the ground? Did it was it
on his foot, he had it in his hand. He
came to the ground and it looked like the ground
(01:44:29):
may have knocked the ball loosed, where he then pinned
it against his legs and then was able to secure
the football. But if it's if the ground knocked it loose,
if it touched the ground, and it's incomplete, Oh, that's
that's what was it on his foot on the ground.
Here's the deal. The ball did hit the ground, then
(01:44:51):
it's it's incomplete. Then if he didn't have control of
the ball when they hit the ground, it's it's over.
That's that's the rule. It's over. The ball did come loose,
and this is this is the problem of slow moy
from is there are times where the ball can hit
the ground, but he didn't have the ball obviously left
his hand after he hit the ball, he doesn't get
to re catch it. That's that's my point of this
(01:45:12):
being in slow mo is it looks like he held
onto the ball a lot longer than maybe he did
in real time because even after he hit the ground,
he's now then turning over. This is going to be
a a crazy call. Let's bring in David gascont Is
going to give us the latest if we wait to
hear the replay of what's happening in San Francisco or
(01:45:33):
Santa Clara, if we really want to be exact, easy
from Salam, I'm Dan Buyer. It is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio, Dave, what do you think? Touchdown? A not man?
I think the worst part about this is the officials
on the field actually called it a touchdown, So I
think this is a touchdown. I think replay is going
to keep it a touchdown as well. It seems like
he's holding onto the ball and the problem is in
(01:45:55):
slow mo it looks like he held it on for
extra two seconds. Yeah. The craziest part about is for
people that can't watch this game, is that he was
falling onto his backside and he had enough strength with
his right hand to actually maintain possession and keep it
from touching the ground before he landed on his back
and then bobbled it between his legs. That was the
(01:46:15):
biggest part. And so now they're going to the video
review right now and the officials are gonna call it
incomplete reverse from rights Mark went up for from Salam.
Right again. Okay, guys, you may know a little something
about this thing. Okay, this game we call football. The
(01:46:36):
replay made it look like he held onto it because
it was slow mo a lot longer then maybe what
was was normal. So they got to have ruled they
had to have ruled that it hit the ground. So
now there's gonna be a fourth down play, which you
might as well hang out there a third down play,
but there's only five seconds left. And if you have
if hey, if you're at home clock operator, you know,
(01:46:59):
just just let of things. That player didn't seem to
think let that thing go. I will say this, I
do think the NFL needs to go in basketball route
and do TENSI of a second, I do think that
that is the case. I think that in the future
there are times I agree with that where you need to.
I mean, it happened in week two or three with
the Broncos and Bears. So Matt Ryan takes the snap, Jones,
(01:47:24):
but short he didn't get it in and time's gonna
run out. The time is over. The clock, the game
is over. You can't stop the clock. This is a touchdown. Touchdown?
That is a touchdown? Oh, oh my goodness, is a touchdowndown? No,
(01:47:49):
they didn't they called it down on the but they'll
review it unless they don't under two minutes. Yeah, it's
it's under So this is the this is the question. Wow.
I he got in. He did get in. Wow. And
that would be the last play of the game. By
the way, the Falcons would not have to kick an
(01:48:09):
extra point if time ran out, and if they did
that would just take a knee because you don't want
to block the extra point and run back. No, you
just it's over. Yes, wow, can you imagine if you're well,
we could ask Gavin because I know Gavin probably took
the Eagles minus six and a half. I bet the
Falcons plus ten and a half. So as long as
you didn't throw it six here I'm talking Falcons money line. No,
(01:48:33):
that's too dangerous, can't do that. Yeah, it's a touchdown.
Dean Blandino is saying, this is uh wow, that's huge
for Seattle. By the way, thank you very much Niners
and Falcons for giving us something to talk. I mean,
we had we had like two marquee games today and
we end up relying on the Raiders and Jags and
Falcons and Niners to uh to provide some entertainment because
(01:48:56):
the Rams and Chargers just decided to not show up.
That's all right. They're taking their vacation, their holiday vacation early.
The funny thing is the Rams and Cowboys game is
still on garbage fantasy this Cowboys winning but the minute
left in the game. All right, Dave, let's get to
(01:49:19):
the other scores. Well, well we'll we'll get this official
call when it happens, and you can feel free to
shout it out loud. Guy. Well, the irony and all
of this is it's actually Julio Jones that got in
the end zone. I got that's not normally want to
get into the end zone. So the booth refusing to
come on down and it's called is reverse. So Atlanta
is gonna win this thing. They won't kick the p
A T. I don't think, but right now you don't
(01:49:40):
have to anymore. Yeah, clock is expired, so yeah, oh wait,
they're gonna put two seconds on the clock. What it's
going on here, I don't know, but let me get
in and let me get out. Two. Atlanta has the
advantage right now. So San Francisco loses this ball game,
they will fall to eleven and three this season, and
that's huge. If you're a Seahawks fan, because yet I'll
also want earlier today beating Carolina thirty to twenty four.
(01:50:04):
The afternoon games, Dallas is really putting on l a
right now. Forty four to fifteen guys in this ball game.
Total yardage Dallas four seventies six. Rams are picking up
some trash yards right now, but they have two eighty
two and a ball into the ends. It was caught
by Cooper Cups, So that's all for aesthetics and also
for some fantasy points right now. So it's forty four
twenty one with a two point conversion pending other scores
(01:50:28):
around the NFL at this weekend or this afternoon, Vikings
beat the Chargers thirty nine to ten. Raiders fall at
home for their final home game. Jacksonville caught him and
beat them twenty to sixteen. Oakland actually leading this game
sixteen to three. Philadelphia beat Washington thirty seven twenties seven
Patriots one on the road and beat Cincinnati. So did Houston.
They beat the Titans twenty four to twenty one. Guys.
(01:50:50):
Back to you, thanks a lot, Dave. The two point
conversion was just a knee from Matt Ryan. There's gonna
be two seconds, so the Falcons will have to to
kick it off. Here's the deal and and I what
seems like it's panic world. But again, even as we
talked about with the forty Niners, they still really have
destiny in their own hands when it comes to the division,
because if they beat the Rams next week, and they
(01:51:11):
beat Seattle in week seventeen, they will be division champions.
The question then becomes, how does the rest of the
NFC play out and what you have with tiebreakers that
could cost them a first round by it's not a
complete free for all for the forty Niners. They still
have an opportunity to win the division, and depending what happened,
the Vikings could beat the Packers next week, and then
(01:51:31):
the Niners are in the driver's seat for home field
advantage again if they win. So this is not an
end all. So no matter what anybody tells you about
the forty Niners and the sky falling because of this game,
that is not the case. There are a lot of
different scenarios. They still have some playoff hopes. They're going
to do a bit of a um fire drill with
laterals here on the kickoff and the Falcons are going
(01:51:55):
to be able to recover the fumble and score again.
So there it is, so the Falcons they won't have
to kick that extra point. It'll mean twenty nine to two.
Dan Quinn giving a big hug to Matt Ryan as
they walk off the field. Now they'll exchange pleasantries with
Kyle Shanahan. The Falcons don't have any playoff hopes, but
(01:52:18):
they did get a big win today over the Niners.
Final score now twenty nine to two. Cooper Cup touchdown
catch for the Rams, but the Cowboys. Putting this one
on a nice Fox Sports Red Zone radio easy from Salama.
I'm Dan Buyer. It's week fifteen in the National Football League.
Just two games to go, Steelers and Bills tonight from Pittsburgh,
(01:52:39):
and then tomorrow night the Colts and Saints will play
in New Orleans. Good news for teams like the Packers
who want today, the Seahawks who won today, and even
the San Francisco forty Niners who just lost in heartbreaking fashion.
They have all clinched playoff berths via the loss by
the Rams to the Dallas Cowboys today, So those three
(01:53:01):
teams are all in the playoffs. So the Saints are in,
the Seahawks are in, the Niners are in, the Packers
are in. That leaves one wild card, which could be
the Vikings or Rams, and the winner of the NFC East,
which will be the Cowboys or Eagles. We will likely
find that out next week in Week sixteen. But the
(01:53:24):
NFC playoff picture while the while the roles, it's like
a movie. You may know about this from you have.
You have actors come in and audition for parts, and
maybe the audition for one part, you're like, you know what,
I think you'd be better over here. This is like, yeah,
you can come in. Look, I'm auditioning for the number
one seed in the NFC. Look I I am auditioning.
(01:53:45):
This is you know what, We're just gonna move you
to the five seed because you're not gonna win. That's
that's what We've got a lot of movement right now
in the NFC. Even though most of the particulars are set,
we just don't know where they are going to be set. Yeah,
that's uh, that's pretty accurate. Um. When you look at
the top of the NFC NFC you have Seattle Seahawks
(01:54:06):
eleven and three Green Bay Packers eleven in three San
Francisco forty nine or is eleven and three, and then
you have the Saints who play later later on um
at at ten and three. So I mean, it's the
good thing about it is we got a heck of
a playoff. You know, this is gonna be great. I
(01:54:27):
know you love basketball and I know like baseball. It
was like, you know, baseball in October the postseason on Fox,
You're like, we all get excited, but the NFL's playoffs
are awesome, Like they are so great, and it's because
we love the NFL so much. But when you really
get down to it, you think of all those teams
than playing each other, and in the scenarios, it's magnificent.
(01:54:50):
I only give it. A wild card weekend this year
is going to have a lot of um because some
years maybe you don't have the matchups that you would want.
Maybe there's one good game, but that's not gonna be
the case this year. They're gonna be a lot of
good teams playing in that wild card weekend. And yeah,
I am right there with you and saying that the
NFL playoff picture, uh for is going to be amazing.
(01:55:11):
I mean it really is. I mean, heck, can the
a f C. I mean, the Ravens are doing great.
I you know, started to jump on the Chief's band wagon.
Today you still have the Patriots there all around. It's magnificent,
it is. And you can't count out the Buffalo Bills. Um.
You know that team has you know, showed up this year.
Nobody expected this from them. They've showed up. They have
(01:55:33):
a top defense. Uh, they're just tough, man, They're tough.
They're offensive line is physically imposing. We all saw that
on Thanksgiving Day when they just demoralized the Dallas Cowboys
defense defensive front. So you know them and the the
(01:55:53):
Jackal and Hyde situation we have with Houston, Like who's
gonna show up? Right? Is it? Uh? Is it the
dynamic dominating team or is it? Yeah? I changed during
the game with the Texas, like I see like Deshaun
Watson hit DeAndre Hopkins or Kenny Stills like us today
(01:56:15):
and I'm like, how do you stop that? How do
you stop Carlos Hide running crazy? And then you see
a couple of plays You're like, oh, that's how it goes.
Usually at this time, we have a big we have
a big segment called m VPS. We are doing a
bit of a switch up today because there is one
m v P. There is only one m v P
in Week fifteen. You can take all you want from
(01:56:36):
all the games, but the m v P of Week
fifteen is Fox Sports Jay Glazer, because the NFL insider
once again showed why he is the goat. If you
missed it earlier today on Fox NFL Sunday, on Fox Sports,
Jay Glazer released the footage that took place in the
Bronze press box last week when a Patriots videographer was
(01:56:58):
confronted by Ben Security and NFL security about the footage
that he was taping during that Browns Bengals game. They
released it today on Fox Sports. Or Jay got the
the leaked footage and aired it. We are offering you
the video now we know it's it's radio. It's an
audio medium medium, so you can only hear the audio,
you can't see the video. But this was the audio
(01:57:21):
of what happened to the Browns press box a week
ago between the Bengal security and the Patriots videographer, obtained
by Fox Sports Jay Glazer. And this is a piece
you're selling me on your advance scout. Yeah, yeah, come on, guys,
I don't see the advance scout in this footage. It's
not you would try to get some field perspective, my
(01:57:42):
mad you can that's not the sales that that's why
you would think you couldn't. I think, but I can
delete this right hand for him. Damage. He's done, my friend,
because we delete it once again. Any nine years of
(01:58:05):
the one years, there's no way I can get that
frontage back not being honest with you, and I don't
have a computer to put you don't put it out
like that. One wants this card, that's it. Yeah, I
don't see the advance scout in this video. This ship
there was it was like, the damage is done, my friend.
(01:58:28):
No it isn't. I could just delete it. We could
just get rid of it. We could forget right right now.
I mean, just act like you've never even seen me.
It'll go. Wait. Look, we don't even have a computer setup. Man.
I really I really thought it was nothing, even him.
I really thought it was nothing. And I still think
that it's it's nothing to the extent of I do
think the videographer from the Patriots was under pressure. I
(01:58:49):
don't know how much information the Patriots can get from
that it doesn't matter. Already told you. You rob a store,
you don't steal anything, You get caught, you go to jail.
Did it's the bottom line. Oh my goodness, this isn't
gonna go away. Do we have Andy Dalton quickly? Just
so as the Bengals quarterback after today has lost in
(01:59:11):
New England. Yeah. I think whenever we play a game,
we're gonna try to do our best to win and
try to do every can to put ourselves in that
in the best position for that. And so I don't
think anything had any of that factored into the way
we we we started, you know this game, Andy Dalton
through four interceptions. If I was here, I would say
it had everything. They knew the game plan. There were
(01:59:34):
some stuff that that we only unveiled last week that
they somehow got a hold of. That's the only reason
that I can explain my my four I n t
effort lean into it. Come on, Andy Dalton learned how
to play the game, alrighty from Let's do it in
week sixteen? How about that? How about that? Alright? Easy
from Salama? I'm Dan Buyer. This has been Fox Sports
(01:59:57):
Red Zone Radio. Talk to you next week.
