Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jonas Knocks. You thought you knew me, You didn't know
a thing about me.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
He's crazier than air.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Else wrecked that guy.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Jonas Knocks.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
You heard me, the friends, some darkness is lighting up
your speakers to establish an.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Alibi for the day.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Now live from the Fox Sports Radio studios, here's Jonas Knox.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yep, Okay, I'll be part of this world. So there's

(00:46):
a lot of people they're gonna feel some kind of
way after this weekend is all said and done in
the world of football. We'll get into that for you
coming up here in just a couple of moments from now,
Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio. You can find it. This
is always on the iHeartRadio app. You can listen to
us on hundreds of affiliates all across the country as

(01:08):
we take you live here all the way up until
four pm Eastern time one o'clock Pacific. If you're listening
on the podcast, we appreciate you doing so. Because it
is officially Super Bowl weekend. It is finally here. Almost

(01:28):
two years, two weeks of build up feels like two years,
and we are finally here. And as somebody who's spent
part of the week in San Francisco in downtown at
the Media Center with a whole bunch other media and

(01:49):
a whole bunch of other people hanging out getting ready
for the game, even though it's you know, played at
a stadium that may or may not be you know,
built next to Chernobyl or whatever they're trying to claim.
The electrical substation is, whatever's going on there, the nuclear reactor,
whatever's happening there. And it's an hour and a half
away from downtown. But even though you're there amongst all

(02:10):
the people in the media and all the people covering
the game, this will be the game where preconceived notions
go to die, because nobody thought this was going to
be the matchup. I saw some claim online somewhere where

(02:31):
there was some phantom better at at a place in
Vegas who bet thirty one hundred to one that the
Patriots would beat the Seahawks and the Super Bowl. Okay,
believe it when I see it, sure thing. But nobody
had this, and nobody had it because everybody trusted their

(02:55):
preconceived notions. Whatever you feel about Sam Darnald, you've been
feeling it for some kind of way for a long time,
and you're not alone. A lot of people in the
NFL felt that, even the Jets who drafted him, that's
why he's not there anymore. What about the Panthers, the

(03:18):
Carolina Panthers who had Sam Donald on the roster, what
about them? They had preconceived notions about Sam Donald. So
why Baker Mayfield beat him out for the job? Myself
included when the move was made and Seattle went the
direction of Sam Donald and traded away Geno Smith for

(03:38):
whatever their reasoning was. At the time, I asked the
question on the air, what's the difference between Sam Donald
and Gino Smith?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Other than the obvious?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Okay, but we're talking about playing on the field stuff, like,
what was the difference? There were a lot of preconceived
notions about who Sam Donald was, who everybody thought he was.
Even the Minnesota Vikings had preconceived notions about him. And
the Minnesota Vikings were great with Sam Donald, but they

(04:13):
too felt a certain kind of way. Nobody thought the
Patriots are going to be back in this spot. Nobody.
Nobody expected this from Mike Rabel, you know, had a
preconceived notion about Mike Rabel the Titans. Nobody expected like
nobody anywhere, and anybody that claims that they had this

(04:34):
is the pick. It's probably some AI generated you know,
photo that they put together to show a betting slip
with some creases, and nobody had this. So you walk
around San Francisco and you're walking around talking to the media,
and it's just this weird vibe. And I've been fortunate

(04:54):
to go to a lot of Super Bowl weeks with
Fox Sports Radio. This one was the weirdest vibe. Now
there's a couple of things going on with that. Okay,
if we're gonna be fair about this, all right, and
I want to be fair. It could have been the
city that could have been it as well too. You know,
there's just I'm trying to think of the word. What

(05:18):
is the name for that? That was like always around
while you walked around Super Bowl God? What is the god? Oh?
Drug addicts. Yeah, there was a lot of that. Now
you're probably thinkuring to yourself, well, that's a reckless accusation.

(05:38):
You don't know whether or not they actually were drug addicts.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I'm gonna use deductive reasoning and just say when I
see a guy with his pants down around his ankle
and he's passed out upright while leaning slightly over a railing.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say
it wasn't a breakfast burrito at six in the morning

(06:04):
that caused that. Again, I don't want to make reckless
accusations here, but that's just gonna be my best guess.
I'm gonna say it was not a breakfast burrito. He
didn't have any hash there was like, that's just gonna
be my guess. You can make your own guesses. But
I saw it with my own two eyes, and it
was an incredible thing to witness. Okay, so there was

(06:29):
a lot of that, But there was also a weird
vibe because nobody really knew what to say about the game,
because nobody really expected that this was going to be
the game. Nobody thought this is like it just it
went against everything that you thought was going to happen

(06:49):
in the NFL this season. Now, were there bigger long shots? Sure,
the Jets, for example, I mean I got news for you.
Uh that uh that guy just described who passed out upright,
There's a better chance that happened because of a breakfast

(07:10):
burrito than the Jets being in a super Bowl. Okay,
that dude found a fentanyl futon in mid air and
was good with it. The Jets will never find a
Super Bowl ever, never gonna happen. So there were bigger
long shots going into this game. But the vibe, in
the sense you got from people talking about the game,

(07:31):
covering the game, breaking down the game, going over the storylines,
looking at the injury report was sort of this, wait, really,
so this is really happening. This is the one, this
is this is this is really how this goes. You
go on to Fox Sports Radio in the studio. There

(07:51):
there's a lamined where before the year, everybody makes their
Super Bowl picks, long shots, et cetera, et cetera, etcetera.
I haven't looked at in a while, but I can
almost guarantee you nobody had this matchup. Nobody. So if
it feels like there's a weird vibe sort of surrounding
this game, like maybe it's a little anti climactic, I

(08:14):
don't think it's that the Super Bowl's gonna be here,
It's gonna do a big number. Everybody's gonna have a
Super Bowl party, They're gonna gamble play Super Bowl squares,
do all that it's gonna be great food. Everybody's gonna
be talking about it, watching it, everybody's gonna be into it.
But part of the build up and maybe lack of
build up that you might feel, or that it felt

(08:35):
like the weird vibe that was in the air in
San Francisco being there at the media center talking to
other people is because people still couldn't get over the
fact that it goes against everything they thought going into
the season, and not even just this season, for multiple seasons.
The Sam Darnold component the New England Patriots. Does anybody

(08:56):
remember how bad New England was last year? They were atrocious?
Gerrod Mayo, in an interview before the season last year
said Drake in so many words, Drake may is outperforming

(09:17):
Jacoby Brissett. Yet Jacoby Brissett was still the starter. Like
nobody expected, idiot, this none of it. Nobody thought, idiot,
this was gonna You could sort of understand Rams Broncos
in the Super Bowl, and you could sort of understand

(09:37):
it because it's like, hey, listen, you know Denver was
in the postseason a year ago. It felt like there
was some momentum the Rams get closer and closer to
getting back there every year. They've got they've got, you know,
the MVP of the league. They've got there's all you
could sort of come to terms and come to grips
with the idea of that being a super Bowl matchup.

(09:58):
You could probably come to terms and grips of that
being a super Bowl matchup, and several others over this,
and yet here we are. So it's one of the
weirder vibes during a Super Bowl week that I've personally
experienced in going to all these Super Bowl weeks over
the past decade plus. Whatever it is, But I don't

(10:20):
think it's because the matchup's bad. I don't think it's
necessarily because the teams are bad. Clearly they're the two best,
they're the two remaining in the NFL. I just think
it's because Super Bowl sixty will be known as the
game and the Super Bowl where preconceived notions went to die.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio. Coming up, we'll call it
I don't know a little over ten minutes from now,
an extremely important question to be asked here on this show.
Extremely important, and we'll have that for you here again.

(13:11):
Coming up a little over ten minutes from now. By
the way, did you know? You can always and also

(13:33):
hit the thumbs up icon and comment away. Let us
know who's takes you like, even the ones you don't like.
Just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube and subscribe. And
that's important because there are some people who get really
really bothered if you lay into them and lay waste
to them over a bad take. They do not like
to hear that. That is not they're not fans of that.

(13:53):
And so when it comes to me, if there's anything
posted by me on there, if you want to let
it rip, let it go like that's that's just that's
fun for everybody, and I won't get offended by it.
I don't take it personally, you know, opinions or opinions.
I don't take stuff like that personally. I mean, apparently
you know, I'm one of the only ones who doesn't
take stuff like that personally. I mean, did you hear

(14:16):
what that wretched, no good, dirty scoundrel Tom Brady had
to say. Tom Brady was on his podcast with Jim Gray,
you know, his Let's Go Serious XM podcast. By the way,
Jim Gray a former friend of the show. I was
still a friend of the show, but one time guest

(14:38):
on the show. We had Jim Gray on back in
July and we were covering the Many Packiaut fight. But nonetheless,
Jim Gray was talking with Tom Brady about the matchup
and who he wants to win, who he wants to
see win in this super Bowl matchup coming up on Sunday,
and Tom Brady had this to say.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Listen, I don't have a dog in the fight in
this one.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Made the best team win? How dare he? How dare he? Oh? Non?
Can you believe that? What a jerk? What a complete
I mean if you if you think none? Seriously, what
a jerk? Did I mean? What about Vince Wilfork? Did

(15:21):
you hear? Do we have Vince Wilfork? He was on
with w e I Radio Row this week. Even Vin's
former teammate friend of Tom Brady, he was pissed off
about that. Listen to listen to big Vince. Let it
fly to that bull crap, Tom, Thank you a couple
of times. Why won't you give that political? This ain't political? Yeah, yeah,

(15:41):
it ain't political.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
What it is?

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah? They ain't need it?

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Thank you, Vince? That's right? Say what it is?

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Right? What do you see?

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Yep? You want to come back and say Hey, I'm
a patriot for life, then you should be rooting for man.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Look at it, end of the day. If you're a
patriot for life, you know what it is.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Don't give me that political bull crap.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
Thats just what it is.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
That's it. If you don't think we're going to win
Daft Pixeatley, h don't don't don't strud on the face. Yeah,
that's what.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Don't stud the fi.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Oh yeah, he I mean listen to Sante Samuel went
on social media and ripped into him. Gronk made some comments.
We were at Radio Row yesterday in San Francisco. Brady, Quinn,
LeVar Arrington weren't thrilled with Tom Brady's com I mean
everybody was really really pissed off with tom Brady's comments,

(16:30):
so much so that Tom Brady took to Instagram and
put a quote up. I think there was a picture
of him and Robert Kraft and Tom Brady posted on Instagram.
You know, I got your back, RKK. Get that seventh
ring so we can match. So hopefully everybody's okay with this. Now,
hopefully everybody's like, like, you know, we have calmed down

(16:52):
and Tom Brady can be forgiven, because I gotta be
honest with you, that was one of the biggest wastes
of energy for people to get upset about that I've
seen in a long time. I don't know gives a
crap that Tom Brady said he didn't have a dog
in the fight. Who cares? I still don't get it.

(17:18):
I like I've had it it would try to explain
it to me, tried to have serious cough like this
is why, this is what it means you're a patriot.
I still don't get it. Jim Gray asked him a question, Man,
I don't have a dog in a fight in this game.
What do you want him to say? Oh? Hey, thanks
for asking, Jim. I got pats plus four and a

(17:39):
half and I like the under of forty eight and
a half.

Speaker 6 (17:41):
What do they?

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Who cares? What does it matter? I don't have a
dog in the fall? By god, that son of a bitch.
He should how if they should tear the statute? What
are we talking about? He's he's at he is a broadcaster,

(18:05):
and he's a partial owner of a team. So you
want him to go where were you? Betting advice?

Speaker 4 (18:14):
You want?

Speaker 1 (18:14):
You want Tom Brady to give out his prop bets too.
Coming up next week on Tom's podcast with Jim Gray
Heads or Tails in the coin Flip, he said, I
don't have a dog in the fight, and he got destroyed.
And it wasn't just Vince Wollfork. It wasn't it was
from all over the place. People were really really pissed

(18:40):
off about it. And I am, honest to god, I
don't get it. If I'll look admit this, and clearly
clearly I'm different than Tom Brady. Clearly, Okay, like there's
you don't have the you know you just so clearly
we are two different people, two different levels of success

(19:06):
when it comes to athletics and sports. Tom Brady's won
seven Super Bowls. He was drafted by the Expos. You know,
just a great athlete. I was awful, awful in high school.
I tried to play high school football. I gave it
a go. Not good, not good at all. Highlight of
my high school football career doing Bull in the Ring,

(19:29):
all right, Bowl in the Ring, which and again at
my high school. Things have changed now, but at my
high school at the time, it was so bad my
sophomore year that they didn't have matching jerseys for home
and away. So for a home game, I was eighty
five and on the road I was thirty because they

(19:49):
didn't have two eighty fives or two thirties. Again, so
not the greatest setup in the world. But highlight of
my high school football career was during practice in hell week,
doing bowl in the ring to where you stand in
the middle. There's six people jogging in place on the outside.

(20:10):
They call out a number and you have to turn
and you collide. It's outlawed now, not allowed now. But
during the course of one of those exchanges, as I
hit somebody, I lifted my right arm up and I
gashed open my arm on their helmet.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Again.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
The facilities, the equipment not great. Things have changed. So
that's the highlight of my football career. Clearly different than
Tom Brady and clearly a different broadcaster, all right. He's
more of a down the middle, you know, take the
professional approach. If I were Tom Brady, I'd come out
and I'd root for the Seahawks, openly root for the Seahawks.

(20:47):
I'd give out betting advice I would come up with. Also,
I would go back in time and I would tell
everybody Seattle was the better team when we beat them.
I would find plays that were missed by the officials
that went against the Seattle Seahawks, and I would go like,
I would take that approach based on all the blowback

(21:08):
he's gotten this week. That's what I would do again.
Two different people, two different people. Some people want to
be a heel, some people like that side of it,
some people don't. Tom Brady doesn't like that. It's not
into it. So he comes out on Instagram and it's
sort of a soft acknowledgment of all the criticism and
the heats that he's gotten. And I have no idea why.

(21:29):
I really don't. And I speculated, you know, maybe there's
just not enough storylines going into the super Bowl. Maybe
that's the case. We talked about it earlier, preconceived notions.
This is the one where they go to die, talked
about it earlier. This one makes no sense to me
at all. And yet for some reason, the guy got

(21:51):
buried alive by everybody this week. By everybody, I mean
Will fork A Sante Samuel. And by the way, last
I checked, Tom Brady played elsewhere in his career. I
don't know if anybody's aware of that. He did finish
his career elsewhere. I don't know, but he didn't have
a dog in the oh, how could you. Everything the

(22:14):
guy says gets ripped apart. He's a broadcaster for one
year and they bury him alive. He's a broadcaster the
second year, much improved, did a really good job, and
he's called out for conflict of interest. Everything the guy
does gets picked apart. So he takes a down the

(22:38):
middle approach to something, and that's not good enough. So
if I were you Tom Cheer for Seattle, I'm telling
you betting advice. You bet every prop on Sam Darnold,
I'd rip into Drake May. There's even some people that
that have said, you know, maybe Tom Brady's jealous. He
doesn't want anybody to win a super Bowl other than

(22:59):
him in New England. And yeah, yeah that makes sense.
Like let's just say, for example, Drake May does win
a Super Bowl this year with New England, you know what,
they're probably gonna forget all about Tom Brady. I can
understand why he'd be jealous. You know, again, my education

(23:22):
may be different than others, but last I checked, he's
got six of those. Drake May would only have one.
But yeah, there's some jealousy there. Okay, none of it
makes sense. You didn't need to acknowledge it. And if
I were you, I'd go on, I'd root for Seattle
and tell everybody to kiss your ass. You did nothing
wrong at the Jonas Knox on X at Jonas Knox

(23:44):
Show on Instagram, and you can hang out with us
again as always on the iHeartRadio app. All right, it's
coming up next. Here a very very important question that
needs to be asked to.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
A member of the crew.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
We're going to get into that for you right here
on FSR. But for all the latest, we turn it
over to the Great, to the magnificent, to the powerful,
Sir Isaac will.

Speaker 7 (24:04):
True on all three counts, Jonas. The final injury reports
for Super Bowl sixty are in Seahawks safety Nick emn
warri off the injury report entirely. He'll be a full
go on Sunday, despite the fact that he suffered a
low ankle sprain in practice on Wednesday. For the Patriots,
linebacker Harold Landry questionable with the knee injury. Linebacker Robertsplane

(24:25):
listed as questionable due to an ankle injury. If the
Winter Olympics, the US Women's hockey team improved its record
to two to zero at the Games with a five
to nothing shutout victory today over Finland. Switzerland's Franio von
Allman won the first gold medal of the Winter Olympics
today and the men's downhill Italy's Francesco Lolo Bridge that
captured the gold medal in three thousand meters speed skating,

(24:46):
the first gold medal of the Games for the host country. Finally, Jonas.
Last week, you remember we reported that three Norwegian ski
jumping officials were caught illegally putting padding into the clauches. Yeah, yeah,
into the crotches of ski jumping suits to make them
more aerodynamic.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Will that be? They called that the lowen chrown.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (25:10):
That's that was the technical term that was reported by
A John's France Press and I was very flattered with
that accurate measurement and assessment. We actually now have a
follow up. With the Winter Olympics ski jumping competition getting underway,
the World Anti Doping Agency has announced that it will

(25:33):
investigate allegations that ski jumpers are also attempting to make
their crotch areas more aerodynamic by injecting hyaluronic acid. Into
their male appendages. No way, yes, way, what does it work?

(25:54):
What are you looking at me for?

Speaker 1 (25:55):
How much you're the one doing the deep dive? No
pun intended on this works? What are we talking about it?

Speaker 4 (26:01):
I can't.

Speaker 7 (26:01):
I can't speak personally as to it working, because you know,
no need over here with me. However, I mean, there's
no reason that they would not do that if there
wasn't so some evidence that it worked. I mean literally,
because of the aerodynamics of ski jumping, one or two

(26:22):
millimeters of improvement, if I could put it that way,
that literally could mean a difference of you know, three
to five meters worth of results, the difference between yourself.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Well, I'm definitely not an in that case. Hey, buddy,
like things will look a lot different from me back
in the day. I'll tell you something now, Yeah, you know,
not everybody's like you. By the way, I'm just excellent,
excellent sponsorship opportunity. You imagine Isaac long Kron getting sponsored
by this company and the next thing you know, he
walks into studio and he's got the space shuttle between
his life.

Speaker 7 (26:54):
Well, I mean, you know, the before and after pictures
would look to say, but enough enough about me, I
appreciate you, you know, truthfully reporting things. However, you know,
I'm just saying they whoever gets busted for doing this,
they should give them some sort of honorary gold medal,
because what what athlete out there is more dedicated than

(27:18):
someone willing to inject their agreed.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Now commitment commitment to the craft? Okay? And you know
it's like we were talking about, you know, who's the
the Guardian's closer, former closer, Emmanuel Class?

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Okay, who got pot? Right?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Am I butchering his last name?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
It doesn't mean they know who you mean?

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Yeah, whatever, He'll probably take the under on that, but
I you know, he he got pot for that gambling stuff.
And everyone's ripping into the guy like how could you?
How could you throw away a multi million dollar excellent career.
He's a really good pictures Like, dude, you can't have
other passions. What's he got to be? All baseball all
the time? Guy likes to gamble a little bit. What's
the problem. He's a problem. I like to garden. What's

(28:04):
the issue?

Speaker 7 (28:05):
He's probably you know, closely following the ski jumping competition
and a story like this because he wants to know
who is injecting so he can put his money on them.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
So listen, I think there's there's this is this is
really really something now because it does bring me. I
do have a couple of follow up questions for you.
One that I teased, but a couple of follow up questions. Okay,
all right, So the first of which would be Winter Olympics.
All right, are they actually live? Because one of my
big pet peeves and watching the Olympics when they're you know,

(28:37):
in Bangladesh or wherever is is the fact you can't
watch them live and and they're all it's on delay.
You can watch it at this time and then the
results are given away and this So, so what is
the the scheduling of it all? Because look, there's a
there's a lot of stuff going on this weekend, and
I just want to know, like, how can we partake
because I like watching the Winter Olympics, but how many

(28:57):
live events are we actually going to partake?

Speaker 7 (28:59):
My wife is literally complaining about this last night because
he was trying to watch the live streams but there's
like ninety three different packages and she thought she signed
up for one. She doesn't have access to the event
she wants to watch but from a time standpoint, the
first Olympic event, which was mixed doubles curling, by the way,

(29:19):
began at four h five Eastern time this morning. The
final event of the day, let's see, the final event
of the day is going to conclude or begin, excuse.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
Me, at four h five Eastern time.

Speaker 7 (29:33):
So basically this go around with the time difference, it
goes from four am Eastern to four pm Eastern.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Oh so nothing later than that.

Speaker 7 (29:41):
Yeah, but it'll be it'll be you know, broadcast later
on on taped lay. I will say this though, I'm
imagining that this h injecting hyluronic acid into their you
know what, I assume it's not necessarily being done by
a formal, highly trained, renowned physician. It's probably, you know,
in the back of a pickup truck somewhere.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
I just don't know.

Speaker 7 (30:04):
I mean, I want that gold medal, but I'm just worried.
I mean, what if there's like a misfire or an
inaccurate injection. What sort of side effects are we talking
about this?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
I mean, I love how you use the back of
a pickup truck, as if that's not a sanitary place
to do something like that. Like, you can't accomplish anything
in the back of a pickup truck. Could you imagine
seeing some guy from Norway who's you know, walking around
with a thermis between his legs and people are asking him, Hey,
where'd you get that done? And he points over to
a tacoma on the side of some guy's got a

(30:36):
needle next to a lawnmower and a hard break and
he's just injected. This guy down in his downstairs bathroom.
That's amazing. Tell you something, By.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
The way, I need a degree.

Speaker 7 (30:46):
I continue to be so impressed about your ability to
extemporaneously come up with adjectives for things on the fly.
So you've got downstairs bathroom, space, shuttle, thermos, all instantly
coming up with different synonyms for the you know, male appendence.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Look, I just think it's you know, we're watching people
go through it to try and to try and win
the Olympic gold and I think there's something to it.
I think it's very admirable, and you know it is
just the whole time change with the Winter Olympics is
just disappointing because look, man like that. That's part of
the reason why I like Hawaii football, because after I
put my son to bed on a Saturday night. There's

(31:27):
nothing better than getting on the liver lube and watching
the liver loobs. There again, I'm telling you, Isaac, there's
nothing like gobos and we're watching them playing, you know,
in a stadium until the other one gets built filled
with like six thousand people. So I was hoping to
be able to watch some of that tonight, but apparently not.
That's that's disappointing. By the way. I also had another

(31:50):
crucial question for you. This is an important question, okay,
And I'm not trying to make anybody feel uncomfortable, because
I don't want to do that, especially you, Isaic.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
I can't feel uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
You are broad casting royalty. So I got an important
question for you, and I need you to hear me out. Okay,
have you ever wiped with a piece of dry toilet papers.

And It's yours right here at FSR Jonas Knox Fox
Sports Radio. Coming up, we'll call it a little over

(32:45):
about fifteen minutes from now, we are going to tell
you about something that could be a really bad look.
Whatever the result is for tomorrow's game at Super Bowl sixty,
could be a really bad look for somebody. Somebody's gonna
get dirty following that game. We'll explain why. Coming up
here again a little over fifteen minutes from now, before

(33:09):
we get to another edition of Do You careacters and.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
Do you Care?

Speaker 1 (33:12):
There's a lot of important questions that are asked, and
so I've got another one before we actually get to
that question.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
I want to.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Remind everybody though, that you can listen to us on
the iHeartRadio app. You can also follow along on Instagram

ask before we get to another edition of Do You Care?
Have you ever wiped with a piece of dry toilet
paper and wondered is this as good as it gets?
It's not switched to life changing Wet extra large flushable
Dude Wives because wetter just cleans better. Avail at Amazon,
at major retailers nationwide, Dude Wives, Best Clean Pants down.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.
DMZ reports, Let's get kinky. Here's some of the big
stories from the last week. But Jonas, the real question
is do you care?

Speaker 1 (34:21):
And for that we turn it over to our executive producer,
the one and only Bo Benson, to find out what
the hell people have been talking about all week. Bo Well, Jonas.

Speaker 6 (34:29):
Cliff Kingsbury, the former Cardinals head coach Washington offensive coordinator.
He's going to join the Rams coaching staff in a
role that has yet been yet to be announced.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Do you care?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Yeah? I like the approach. Cliff Kingsbury, if you just
want to go through the timeline here. So he gets
hired by the Arizona Cardinals. They improve steadily during his
time with the Cardinals. Then they are in a playoff
game against the Rams and just get knifed and then

(35:02):
it just sort of comes off the rails and then
he's out of Arizona. But as we've come to find out,
you know, Arizona's got some issues. You know, that's just
you know, things are rough there. He goes to Washington.
He's the coordinator for Jaden Daniels Jade, and Daniels has
one of the great rookie seasons we've seen. People are
raving about him, and in Cliff Kingsbury's getting interviewed for

(35:25):
head coaching opportunities and all that. He comes back for
year two in Washington, Jaden daniels arm almost falls off
his body. He's injured in other games and they struggle offensively,
and then they decide to move on. I said, hold
on a second. We're not that far removed from Jaden
Daniels being the rookie of the year and just an

(35:45):
incredible talent, and Washington's back and all that, and now
he's the fall guy along with several other coaches in Washington.
So Cliff Kingsbury's looking around, going, dude, I want to
be a head coach again. How do I do it?
I know, I'll just go work from a bay. I'll
just go work with McVeagh. That's the trick. Be an
assistant for Sean McVay, and you're going to get a

(36:07):
job and everybody's gonna forget about you being the fall
guy in two other places. Next Raiders defensive end.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Max Crosby kind of downplayed the idea that he could
change teams this offseason, that he's unhappy. Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 1 (36:20):
No, I don't care. Listen now, why does anybody need
confirmation for Max Crosby. Of course he's not happy. Look
at the team he's on. They're terrible. They're terrible, and
you know, everybody can get hyped up about Fernando Mendoza
and man, you've got a lot of other things going
on there. So of course Max Crosby's not going to
be happy. Everything that the organization has sold him about

(36:42):
this is the next great idea we've got hasn't worked.
That's why they're paying fifteen coaches right now or whatever
it is. So this is it really is a non
story until they actually make a move, and then you
just need to see which team's going to be able
to anti up the amount of draft capital the Raiders
are looking for, and then Max Crosby can go actually
maybe participate in a playoff game and actually have some

(37:05):
hope of winning it and having some successful run with
an organization who knows what the hell they're doing next.

Speaker 6 (37:11):
In a NBA tread did trade deadline stunner, Anthony Davis
was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Washington Wizards,
and then it was properly announced that he was going
to miss the remainder of the season. Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 1 (37:24):
No? I just who cares? The part of it. I
still can't understand. I can't fathom the Luca trade. Like
the more the more that we step back from it,
you know, they think sometimes these these moves are made
and say, well, you know, give it time to calm down,
and then everybody would be fine. It's like, hey, well
look they got Cooper Flag. He's great and it's awesome.

(37:46):
They're going to build around him. But none of that
had to happen. You needed an incredible luck or conspiracy
with the NBA lottery the Land Cooper flag to have him.
If you were to ask math fans, they'd rather just
have Luca back. You'd rather just have the team back
with the player that was just in the finals. And
for whatever reason, the cell job was Anthony Davis. It

(38:07):
never worked out, it never added up, and now he's
injured again.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
It's wild.

Speaker 6 (38:11):
Next quarterback, Joe Flacco intends to play next season. Jonah
Steke care.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Yeah, of course I love it. Listen, like, if you're
watching the Pro Bowl games, and if you did, my condolences.
But if you watch the Pro Bowl games this past week,
I noticed something that was very interesting. All Right, So
you had Pro Bowl quarterbacks from the AFC. You had
Joe Burrow and shad Or Sanders, and in the middle,

(38:39):
tying them all together in more ways than one, is
the great Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco, who's on the doorstep
of fifty thousand passing yards. Guy's been in the league
close to twenty years and he didn't even need really
a full camp with anybody, or doesn't just say hey whatever,
man like yeah, I'll play for them. Can I start?

(39:01):
Can I actually play? Sure, and he goes out there
and he just slings it. There needs to be more
of the Joe Flacco stories and less of the other
garbage were force fed.

Speaker 6 (39:09):
Next Packer's defensive end, Micah Parsons, revealed that he was
almost traded to the Eagles for a package that would
have included a defensive tackle, Jalen Carter and picks Jonas.

Speaker 4 (39:21):
Do you care?

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Yeah, I love it, I love it. Let me tell
you something if well, first of all, I think that
that shows you that Jerry Jones didn't want to have
to deal with Michaeh Parsons. Otherwise that would be the
trade you make if And I find, by the way,
I find this hard to believe. If this was the
trade that was on the table, I find it hard
to believe that Dallas would have wouldn't have taken this

(39:44):
trade like that Jalen Carter And this is not a
shot at Kenny Clark, But that sounds like bo Mike
am I crazy to say? That sounds like a better
trade offer than Kenny Clark. And I think they got back.

Speaker 6 (39:56):
I think Jalen Carter is a better player than Michael
Parsons right now, Like.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
That's that's why I find this hard to believe. But look,
if that could have happened, that would have been that
would have been a fun story to discuss, and Jerry
Jones would have had to deal with Micah Parson's revenge
twice a year as opposed to all the stuff in
the media and the one time they played the Packers.

Speaker 6 (40:16):
Next Jonas which bad bunny song and which commercial are
you most looking forward to tomorrow? And do you care
about either of those?

Speaker 4 (40:23):
Oh god, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I don't.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Care, no, no like because because here's here's why I like football,
and I'm an adult and I like to do adult
things like drink, gamble and make choices. And my choices

(40:46):
are to do that, pick at some food and not
pay any attention to Bad Rabbit or whatever his name is,
that's doing the halftime show, and it's not a shot
at him. It's just a shot at halftime shows. There
are things to do. You got to get your second
app bets in and you got priorities, and that takes

(41:08):
precedence when it comes to this. You know, this could
end up being.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
A real bad look.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
And the best part is it doesn't matter what happens tomorrow,
it's gonna be bad for somebody. We'll get into that
for you right here on Fox Sports Radio, Jonas Knocks
with you. You can listen to us as always on the
iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds of affiliates
here as we take you live up until four pm
Eastern time one o'clock Pacific. If you're listening on the podcast,

(41:33):
we appreciate you doing so. As we are winding down
just a day and change away until Super Bowl sixty
in Santa Clara. And I was making the point earlier
that just being out there this week for coverage of
the Super Bowl for Fox Sports Radio alongside Brady Quinn

(41:59):
lebar Erington. Then we were there and you know, just
talking to people and having conversations, there's this weird vibe
in the city and weird vibe sort of surrounding the game.
And again, like you know, it could have been you know,
some of the people that aren't in media that are
hanging out on the streets of San Francisco. You know,
you're you know, you're just kind of hurtling over sleeping

(42:20):
bags and floating bodies just as you try and get
to get to a place to do your job. It's
it's just there's a lot a lot happening. There a
lot going on. You got way Mo's driving around. Nobody
knows what a way Moo is. It's a self driving car,
and in San Francisco you can get them like an uber.

(42:42):
We tried one.

Speaker 4 (42:44):
It's bizarre.

Speaker 1 (42:45):
You're being driven around by a ghost and it knows
exactly where to go, knows where to break, knows where
to park, knows when to ease up on the gas.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
I don't even know how if they're you know.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
Maybe he look, maybe there is somebody there and it's
just some sort of an optical illusion and it's all
a big scam. Whatever it is. There's just a lot
going on in San Francisco. So there was a weird
vibe in general. But there's just a weird vibe when
it comes to the game. And my point on it is,
I just I think it has a lot to do
with people not really knowing how to discuss the game

(43:20):
in normal terms because it's such an abnormal matchup, because
nobody had these teams in this spot. Like maybe somebody
somewhere who's a fan of the Seahawks and they're you know,
cruising around and a Dave Craig jersey and every year
they they've got a to do list. Every year they

(43:42):
travel to Vegas for vacation and in July or August
they'll bet on the Seahawks to win a Super Bowl.
Maybe they thought this was something. Maybe somebody somewhere who's
a Patriots fan, an old school Patriots fan who made
a bunch of money during the great Tom Brady years.
But we're talking like old school Patriots fan. That guy
too is walking around in a throwback jersey, but it's

(44:03):
Andre Tippett. You know. Maybe that guy also went out
to Vegas for the summertime bet on the Patriots because
he does it every year. But for the most part,
nobody had this, and he's they sure as hell didn't
have this is the matchup in the Super Bowl. I
think the weird vibe when it comes to covering the

(44:24):
game is because of that. And I said it earlier.
I think this is the one where preconceived notions go
to die. Whatever your thought was going into the season,
this wasn't one of them from anybody. This just wasn't it.
You didn't have this being the matchup. Maybe you could
have kind of seen Seattle making a run based on

(44:48):
their defense and the way they draft, and just the
great job that John Schneider's done rebuilding that team. You
got to think you had Pete Carroll, you had Russell Wilson,
you were on the doors of a dynasty, and then
there was the interception by Malcolm Butler. You had that era,
and then you decided to roll with Russell Wilson. He
was really, really good, and then he got a mallet finger,

(45:12):
suffered a malletf finger injury, missed the rest of the year,
and that was it. And then Pete Carroll was gone,
and in a short amount of time they're back in
a Super Bowl. It's pretty wild. And you could say
the same thing about the Patriots, but nobody had New
England doing this. They were awful last year and yet

(45:32):
here they are and they're in this spot and they've
got an opportunity to win another Super Bowl. So you
credit both of them. But I think the weird vibe
when it comes to covering the game and talking to
people in San Francisco this week is just because nobody
expected this. Pete Prisco of CBS Sports came on with
us from Radio Row yesterday and Pete just said, hook man,

(45:53):
I don't think New England's any could It's just like
I don't I'm sorry, I don't think they're very good.
But it's it's just an odd super Bowl and odd
vibe to the Super Bowl. I think a lot of
that is because again, the preconceived notions going into this
whole thing have all been wiped out, have all been eliminated,
and have all gone in the toilet, just based on

(46:16):
the fact that nobody had this being the matchup. And
so then it comes to, well, you know, what's the
result going to mean for somebody? And I'll tell you
what it's going to mean. The result of this game
is going to be a bad look on either side.
So you got and there's the obvious ones, you know,

(46:37):
the ones that we've talked about before, the Jets. Okay,
if Seattle wins, and let's just say we'll parlay that
Seattle wins and Sam Darnold's the MVP, that's a really
bad look for the Jets, really bad because one of
the big criticisms of the New York Jets is, you know, listen,

(47:01):
they can't figure out the quarterback position. They always butcher
this and they butcher that and it's this sona and
it's like, okay, well, so you mean to tell me.
In the same year that they hired a new head
coach who's a defensive minded head coach or a defensive
minded head coach. In the same year that they did that,

(47:23):
they also were the only team in the NFL and
I believe NFL history to go an entire season without
an interception, again, defensive mindor head coach. They have an
interception since January of twenty twenty five, and that was
the finale against the Dolphins the year prior. So in
that same year, they also watched the quarterback they said

(47:45):
they wanted no part of go to the playoffs and
Aaron Rodgers and then the other quarterback they drafted in
the top three but decided he wasn't good enough for
us go win a super Bowl. That's a really bad
year for the Jets. That's a bad look. That's a
really really bad look. Right, So he got that, and
that's obvious. And then you know there's the whole Patriots stuff,

(48:07):
like the Patriots were awful and snappy your fingers, they're
back in the super Bowl. The Jets have been awful
for decades and just can't figure it out. So that's
the how. You know, the Jets are obvious. Obviously, the
Titans are pretty obvious. The Tennessee Titans. You know, it's
just a bad look. Mike Frable didn't want to leave Tennessee.

(48:30):
He didn't want to leave. There was a change in
ownership sort of the power there, and they decided, yeah,
you know it's over, We're going to go in a
different direction. And he was shocked, and so were a
lot of people. And here's Mike Rabel Coach of the Year,
and he's got the Patriots, who again were a bucket
of puke last year in the Super Bowl. If they

(48:53):
were to win, this awful look for Tennessee. You know
what else is going to be a bad look for
especially if New England wins Bill Belichick, because now the
discussion goes from Tom Brady won one without you, and

(49:13):
now Robert Kraft has won one without you, all right,
So this could get this could get really troubling for
a guy like Bill Belichick, right because of whatever the
narrative is. And you know, we're going to get into
all the you know, all the other craft that came
along with you know what happened in the Hall of
Fame voting. Whatever the narrative is of Belichick. That's what
a lot of people point to. Hey, Brady went on

(49:34):
in one one without you. If Robert Kraft then goes
on and wins one without him, that's kind of a
problem as well too. That that seems to be a
bit of an issue, and I feel like that's something
that's going to get brought up. And then you, like
you look around the NFL, look at some of these teams,
some of these other teams that didn't cash in on
the opportunity when they had to. Look at a team

(49:57):
like Denver, who I'm telling you right now, if there's
a team I'm betting against next year, and by betting
against them, I mean a team I look at as
a team that's gonna regress, it's going to be Denver.
There's a lot of opportunity they had there to go
get this done at home. And I know, look, Bonnicks

(50:17):
got injured. I get all that, it's unfortunate, but that
game was there for the taking and they couldn't do it. Houston,
that defense kept them in that game. And a guy
like CJ. Stroud, who's also looking at this whole game
and gonna feel awful about the fact that they're not involved.
If New England, there's just there was a lot of
opportunity for a lot of teams. We mentioned Buffalo, a

(50:37):
lot of teams in the NFL this year who have
been close but couldn't get over the hump. They had
their chance, and they're gonna be sitting there watching whoever
wins this game, and they're gonna be looking at it going,
damn it, this was our this was our opening. Lamar
Jackson was out, Patrick Mahomes was out, You had no
Joe Burrow on the AFC side. The Eagles melted down again,

(51:02):
and we're infighting and all that. Like, you had all
of these opportunities here for so many teams and so
many people to get it right, and they couldn't do it.
So whatever the result is, whether Seattle goes out and wins,
whether New England goes out and wins, there's going to
be a lot of people on the outside. They're going

(51:22):
to be feeling just like you're going to be feeling
on Monday morning after an entire day of drinking appetizers
and food. That's terrible for you. When you got to
show back up to the office. This is going to
be a bad look around the league for somebody, no
matter who wins this game at the Jonas Knocks on
X at the Jonas Knocks on X and you can

(51:43):
hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app.
But again, if you are feeling bad and say you
get to the office on Monday morning, stomach's starting to
turn a little bit and then all of a sudden
things get messy South not North, if you know what
I mean. There's one simple solution to all of it. Dudewipes,

(52:03):
Because if you've ever wiped with a piece of dry
toilet paper and wondered, is this as good as it gets? Well,
it's not switched to life changing wet extra large flushable
dudewipes because wetter just cleans better. Available at Amazon and
at major retailers nationwide. Dudewipes best clean pants down. All right,

(52:23):
So coming up next here it is Jonas Knox on
Fox Sports Radio. You can follow along on Instagram at
Jonas Knox Show. We are going to tell you about
some people who are going to feel the ramifications of
some terrible decision making in the National Football League and
I'll tell you who they are next. Jonas Knox, Fox

(52:45):
Sports Radio coming up. We'll call it a little over
ten minutes from now. You got a lot of paranoia,
a lot of paranoia in the world of sports. Kind
of a wild h a wild story that something tells

(53:07):
me is going to pick up some steam, but the
paranoia is attached to it. We'll get into that for
you right here on FSR. By the way, a lot
of positive feedback here on the show. People really really
fired up at what we've done through the first hour
and change here on Fox Sports Radio. Guy writes in
on social media and says, quote, you bleep connoisseur, you

(53:33):
can't keep you can't stop talking about bleep dimensions. After
being in San fran I'd rather have a torta fart
in my mouth than hear another one of your bleep worthless,
uneducated woke takes as far as over unders give me
under two and a half inches for your bleep. I mean,

(54:00):
if it pays, why not. Jason writes in, hey, bleep,
get back. After following those two meetthead bleeps bleep Errington
and bitch Quinn like the useless groupie, d wod you

(54:21):
are you bleep? Tony writes in Flamer Jonas, don't forget

halftime show so you can empty your bleep to your
beloved Puerto Rican bleep. Ben Bunny, You're gonna bleep yourself

(54:45):

hoping one of those bleep waymo cars or hoboes in
the streets of San Francisco on Radio Row. We're going
to eliminate your bleep ass like the bleep packer bleepier

(55:07):
you will always be. You're a bleep, Aaron writes in
Two Weeks in a Row, Jonas let everyone know why
he went into sports radio so he can imagine athletes
bleeps running into his upper lip, keep bleeping bleeps and

He said they will consider changes to the voting panel
and process after this year's disaster. Okay, Now, some voters

(56:42):
have expressed frustration over rule changes put in place last
year that have grouped players in the seniors categories i e.
Roger Craig Ken Anderson, those guys who've been retired for
at least twenty five years, grouping them in with coaches
and contributors. The new rule also made it harder for
anyone to reach the eighty percent threshold. So that is

(57:04):
the sort of where this is. So they're considering changes
to all that stuff. Jim Porter went on to say,
you know, you're not allowed to vote one guy in
because somebody may not get in next year, and or
may get in next year anyways, And so the thought
process on Belichick was and this is not just from

(57:26):
one person, this is from multiple people, right, Multiple people
have said this that one of the thoughts from people
who didn't vote Belichick in this year, based on the
criteria the eighty percent and there's only a certain number
of votes and so on and so forth, is we'd
rather give our vote this year to a guy like
a Roger Craig or one of these other guys that's

(57:47):
been in or been retired for twenty five years, because
it's their last chance. Belichick's probably going to get in
next year. And so you know, you got Jim Porter
coming out and saying, well, you know, we've got to
change that. It's not how it should be. Yet people
are telling you that's what they're doing. So so far,
the reasoning we've gotten for Belichick not getting into the

(58:11):
Hall of Fame on the first bout so far, this
is what we've gotten. We've gotten spygate, to flay Gate,
all the other crap to go along with it, which
is all garbage. And then we've got well it's new
rules and the process, and you know, well, he's probably
just going to get in next year, so I'll just
vote one of these other guys since it's their last chance. Right.

(58:32):
This is what I find, just because there's a deeper,
more morbid look to this whole thing. But just on
the surface, it's clearly broken, and it clearly doesn't make sense,
and it clearly is made way more difficult than it
needs to be. It's just a simple yes or no.

(58:53):
Is Bill Belichick a Hall of Famer? It's a yes
or no. It's not one of these guys that maybe
you got to think about, maybe there's a debate. It's
not no yes or no. Like you saw the MVP vote,
Sam Monson gave his vote to Justin Herbert, like gave
a first place vote to Justin Herbert, and then went

(59:14):
on to explain why he gave a first place vote
to Justin Herbert. Now it's still awful, but gave an explanation. Fine,
you don't need an explanation on Belichick. It's a yes
or no, and it's real simple. Is Bill Belichick a
Hall of Famer? If it's yes, you are intelligent, you're

(59:36):
a smart guy, gal, you know football, and you understand
what he's meant to the game. If it's no, you're
a moron and should never be allowed to participate in
any vote ever. And in fact, I'll go one step further,
maybe in anything. I mean, we might be talking about

(59:56):
revoking everything. It's a cut and dry case for Belichick,
cut and dry. But all we're hearing about is, well,
it's uh, you know, the spygate and the the flight
gate and all everything else that comes up. Okay, like
the Robber Kraft stuff. People have said that, you know,

(01:00:19):
part of the issue with Robert Craft is you know
that whole thing that happened in Jupiter years ago. You know,
like maybe listen, maybe you're new to the NFL, maybe
you're a new listener, but basically what happened is Robert Kraft,
it came out, was going to this place called Orchards
of Asia right now, if you're familiar with Deshaun Watson
and Justin Tucker, it's like one of those places, right.

(01:00:41):
So Robber Kraft was going to the grab Lab and
you know, while he's there, he's blown off some steam
they're getting ready for an AFC Conference championship game. I
believe it was the one in twenty eighteen. Maybe it
was one of the other ones. He's been a lot,
but there's some people that feel like maybe that's part
of the reasoning why he hasn't gotten in, and now

(01:01:03):
upon further review, he doesn't get in again. It's like, well,
maybe it's because of the flake gate and spygate and
all that stuff. You know, meanwhile, Jerry Jones gets in,
and you know who knows we can do whatever you
want with that, And there's been some stuff about Jerry
that's come out, but like that's like, that's sort of
the reasoning or the understanding that we've been given. But
if you just want to go cut and dry, as

(01:01:25):
an owner, Robert Krast should be in the Hall of Fame.
It's a yes or no. And if you've got to ask, wait,
really that ought to give you your answer. Same thing
with Belichick. It is a cut and dry you can
give me whatever, spygate to flake gate, whatever you and
the other one that's being thrown out there that the
voters who voted against him, who are trying to claim
is their excuse, which you know, look, Jim Porter has said,

(01:01:48):
this shouldn't be the approach. This is a violation. This
is not how you should vote for this. One of
the other things that they're pointing to that I mentioned
is well, you know they're probably going to get in
next year, so I'll just vote the one guy in
his last chance. What if they die? Okay, here's the
more morbid approach. It's not like we're talking about young

(01:02:12):
guys and that, and this is not trying to to
take it in that direction because I'm you know, prognosticating,
you know, something terrible happening to Belichick or Craft or what.
But this whole assumption that well, they'll just be here
next year and then we'll put them in God forbid,
something happens. Aren't you going to feel like a bit
of a horse's ass if that was your approach and

(01:02:33):
something happens in the year up until next year, that
too doesn't make any sense. None of it makes any sense.
So yes, you should be considering changes to the voting
panel and the process, especially after this year's disaster, because
people got exposed. People got exposed for either having some

(01:02:58):
sort of an agenda, not understanding the goal, or simply
not knowing football, because if they did, none of this
would be a conversation at the Jonas Knox at X
at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram and again you can
hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app R.
It's coming up next here we've got more paranoia, some

(01:03:19):
more paranoia that isn't going to help anybody. Coming up
here just a couple of moments from now. But first,
for all the latest from around the world of sports,
we turn it over to the great, to the powerful,
to the majestic, Sir Isaac long Cross.

Speaker 4 (01:03:33):
Jonas.

Speaker 7 (01:03:34):
I'm not bringing this up, but we actually have an
honest to goodness Bill Belichick update.

Speaker 4 (01:03:41):
Coming up moments from now.

Speaker 7 (01:03:42):
Yes, legitimate, just happening literally as we speak, Bill Belichick Update.
But we'll start at the Winter Olympics. The US women's
hockey team shut out Finland today five to nothing to
improve its record to two to oh. Switzerland's Frano von
Allman won the first gold medal of these winner today
of the men's downhill. And how about this, Italy's Francesca

(01:04:04):
Lola Brigida won the gold medal in three thousand meters
speedskating the first gold medal of these games for the
host country and Jonas get this. Francesca Lola Bridgida happens
to be the grand niece of Gina Lola Brigida.

Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
Small world. Who the hell's Gina Lola Brigida?

Speaker 4 (01:04:26):
You're serious, right? You don't know who? You don't know
who Gina Lola Bridge it is?

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
What are we talking about?

Speaker 7 (01:04:33):
Gina Lola Brigida was a legendary iconic Italian actress who literally,
back in the nineteen fifties was literally voted the most
beautiful woman in the entire world.

Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
Okay, sorry, Isa, Sorry I wasn't horny in the fifties
because I wasn't born yet.

Speaker 7 (01:04:53):
Sorry, but come on, you seriously had never heard of
Gina Lola Brigida.

Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
You act like a walking around pitching a tent looking
at fifties Italian flicks.

Speaker 7 (01:05:04):
He that is swimming through your your ig models and
you've never heard she was literally thought of to be
the most beautiful woman in the world and you've never
heard of her.

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
Okay, let me look this up here. Let me I'm
gonna go to somebody I can trust. Wikipedia, This up here,
all right, one of the most highest one of the
highest profile European.

Speaker 7 (01:05:23):
Acts literally voted iconic, literally voted the most beautiful woman in.

Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
The world, a period in which she was an internal
sex symbol international sex symbol. Also the inspiration for Isaac
Glow and Krawn's invention of blue Choo, which I'm looking
at here, Isaac. This is really I'm.

Speaker 7 (01:05:44):
Just saying I have a well rounded education, unlike apparently you.

Speaker 1 (01:05:49):
I just I don't know. Fifties, the only Italian actor
I just love, all right was Marvin Hagler. What I
don't get that yet, marvelous marvel the Hagler. After he
left his last fight Long Sugar Ray Leonards, Hagler got
paid a bunch of money and wenton did movies in Italy.

Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
I made not know that.

Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
Yeah, I became a became an Italian actor.

Speaker 7 (01:06:13):
Well, I see, I see this as a win win
because I tell you something, and you taught me something,
and we all taught America something.

Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
So it's a win win.

Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
By the way. It shows that, Oh my god, the
Gina Lila Bridget okay, which whatever that it says. On
February one, twenty eighteen, she received a star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Speaker 4 (01:06:37):
Oh okay, so there there you go.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
By the way, and in other news, I believe Dan,
the Del Taco guy, also has one on the Hollywood
Walk of Fame. Like, what are we talking about?

Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
Yeah, you know, I'm not to see what he's up
to these days.

Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
You remember that guy. I remember the number one very well.
He used to go to Clippers games because they couldn't
get anybody in there. I go with the let's give
away a you know, a soft chicken taco. See if
we can get somebody to go to the.

Speaker 7 (01:07:00):
As we continue to educate one another, this is this
is great. So one of these Italian films that marvelous
Marvin Hagler made was called virtual Weapon, not lethal weapon,
but virtual weapon. Along with Giselle Blondett, you are sending
me down the rabbit hole.

Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
This is great.

Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
We tell you something. He's there, Danny Glover. I mean no,
you're not exaggerating. He really is. Anyway, where were we?

Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (01:07:30):
Winter Olympics check injury reports for Super Bowl sixty Seahawk
safety Nick Eman war a off the injury report entirely
good to go despite suffering a low ankle sprain and
practice on Wednesday for the Patriots linebacker Harold Landry questionable
with a knee injury. Linebacker Robert Splaine questionable because of
an ankle injury. Finally, in college basketball, coming up at

(01:07:51):
six thirty Eastern Emily number fourteen North Carolina hosting fourth
rank Duke now Jonas.

Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
There is a.

Speaker 7 (01:07:57):
Popular Chapel Hill hot spot called Sup Dogs, and Sup
Dogs just posted the following on social media. Quote, Oh, no,
Coach Belichick and Jordan just came in. Our host didn't
recognize him and told him we have a one hour wait.

(01:08:20):
He said he would come back later. He was very nice.
Someone tell coach to pop back in for immediate seating.

Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
Unquote Wait, he was there with Michael Jordan.

Speaker 7 (01:08:31):
No, Jordan, Oh, your equivalent of Gina Lola Bridgeta.

Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
By the way, but he said in North Carolina. My
mind went to Michael Jordan. You know, I don't I
don't try and dive into Belichick's you know, personal life. Yeah,
that's because you're envious of it. So hey, buddy, and
let me tell you something. I think that's what a
lot of the bitterness is why he didn't get to
the Hall of Fame, Because he's walking around with a
rocket who's two hundred years younger than him, and everybody
else is going home with.

Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
Some blow up doll.

Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
Here's here's here's the real here, here's the real back.
The real story to here is whether or not he
does come back. Right If he says he comes back
later and he actually does show up, I think that's
gonna go a long way with me.

Speaker 7 (01:09:11):
Well, yeah, no, you're you're your little friends very big
on social media. So she will have seen the post
or found out about the post, and they will come
back because there actually is a picture.

Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
Okay, let's let's do this. Okay, you just Google search
Chapel Hill hot Dogs. This is what Belichick should do. Okay,
So so Sup Dogs, which is on Franklin Street. Yeah,
all right, said no because they didn't recognize him.

Speaker 4 (01:09:38):
Well, the post didn't recognize him.

Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
Yeah, okay, well listen, you you represent the company. You're
the face of the company as the host of a restaurant.
You can't screw that up.

Speaker 7 (01:09:46):
And good on them, But good on them for owning
their misque.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Okay, but what he needs to do is go right
up the road also on Franklin Street. Okay, Al's Burger Shack,
all right, and they've got they've got hot dog, they've
got burgers, they got crinkle fries.

Speaker 7 (01:10:03):
Uh. Yeah, if I were Belichick, I'd go to Owls. Yeah,
but they only have one hot dog there. They have
the mister G grilled all beef, mustard, chili onions and slaw.
So they're more of a burger place than a hotig place.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
Yeah. And there's also also on Franklin Street Sutton's drug
Store Okay apparently has a which is probably where a
lot of those ski jumpers go to to get their
to get their fixed for the Olympics. Now that we're looking.

Speaker 7 (01:10:29):
At it, man, if you don't know what we're talking about,
download the podcast.

Speaker 1 (01:10:32):
Right, that's where you go. Uh. But and and also
because you mentioned something earlier and thought I figured I
should uh. And I'm not trying to catch you off guard.

Speaker 7 (01:10:43):
Okay, you can never you can't cough. You can't catch
me off guard.

Speaker 1 (01:10:48):
But but you were talking about the Italian actress, and
so I don't want to catch you off guard of
this sort of question a little bit, you know, all right,
So I do need to know, based on that conversation,
have you ever wiped a piece of dry toilet paper
and wondered, is this as good as it gets? Caught
me again, switched to life changing Wet extra large flushable
Dude Wipes because wetter just cleans better. Available at Amazon

(01:11:09):
and at major retailers nationwide. Dudewipes best clean pants down.
All right, So we are going to have another edition
of Knox Locks, the Super Bowl edition coming up here
in we'll call it over about ten minutes from now.
And actually, you know what, why don't we do this
because this actually ties into Knox Locks. There is some

(01:11:31):
paranoia going on in the world of sports, all right,
paranoia that has a lot to do with what we
have done for years here on Knox Locks. And I
will tell you what it is right here on FSR
Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio coming up top of next
hour a little over fifteen minutes from now. Make sure
you stick around. It'll be Steve Hartman and Nikki k
taking over these airwaves. They will have you covered all

(01:11:52):
sorts of stuff when it comes to the NFL Super
Bowl sixty coming up tomorrow. Always a good listen with
Steve and with Nikki. They are paired up and they
are going to be rocking it here. Coming up in
about fifteen minutes from now right here on FSR. If
you missed any of today's show, though, you're gonna want
to catch the podcast.

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
I'm telling you. I am telling you.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
We got drug use on the streets of San Francisco,
drug use at the Olympics. We got Italian actresses from
the fifties, a Danny Glover reference. We've got sup dogs,

(01:12:34):
all the fun stuff in Shenanigans from this show. You're
gonna want to check it out. Trust us. All you
have to do is search Fox Sports Radio wherever you
get your podcast. Right after the show, Today's pod we'll
be posted, so be sure to follow it. Rated five stars.
You can even provide a review. Again. Just search Fox
Sports Radio wherever you get your podcast. You'll find today's
full show posted right after we get off the air.

(01:12:55):
I will also tweet out a link to that as
well too, at the Jonas Knox That is, at the
Jonahs Knocks on x You can also see the link
in the IG stories at Jonas knock Show. I'll also
be posting some of the insulting tweets that have been
sent in. People get a real kick out of that,
so that'll all be in the IG stories again at
some point here shortly at Jonas Knock shows where you

(01:13:16):
can find that I did see this. I thought it
was kind of funny. So Calshi, which is a prediction
based company, Jana sa Tetakumpo is he's involved an investor,
if you will, And so there's some concern over his
involvement in a prediction based company. And there was some

(01:13:40):
people that had pointed out that, you know, one of
the predictions on there was Joannis's next team and people
you know invested or gambled whatever it basically it's a
form of gambling, okay, and their concern that you've got
a player involved with this as a shareholder with something

(01:14:00):
like this, there's some concern about it, and some people
are wondering because the paranoia is at an all time
high because people aren't really sure, like, hey, is this
the right approach? Apparently the NFL doesn't allow it, but
the NBA apparently does, And so Yannis is involved, and
there's some wondering, like at some point, you guys got
to grow up, all right, let me just tell you

(01:14:21):
this right now. At some point people got to grow up. Yes,
there are going to be threats to the integrity of
the game and to the integrity of the individual. Everywhere
you go, that's going to happen. Threats are always going
to be there, but it's a simple you trust them
or you don't. You get to a certain stage in

(01:14:43):
your relationship and you start to worry about them going
to pump gas because you're worried whether or not the
attendant is in good shape. And dude, either you can
handle them going away and you can trust them making
the right decisions or not. At a certain point, you
just got to put your trust in somebody. For example,

(01:15:05):
if I wanted to right now, I could probably do
the show from my app at a liquor store while drinking.
If I wanted to, I probably could. If I could
find a quiet place, I could go right down the
studio to winds of the World. I could sit in
front of the cooler of beer while you know, some

(01:15:29):
guy walks in off the street with a couple of
bucks and some change he counted out because he robbed
somebody's you know, dashboard in the car outside looking for
a cart and of smokes. I could probably do the
show from there and just get blind while I was
doing the show. But I don't because I make decisions

(01:15:51):
and I'm trusted to make the right decision, just like
you are trusted to make the right decisions. Every single day.
There are threats all around you. You could get into
an accident, you could get stabbed, shot, thrown off a building.
You could have somebody put a cigarette out on your eye,
you could have something like there's all sorts of things

(01:16:13):
that are out there, So what are you gonna do?
Just stay bottled up? Do you want all these people
to be amish? Do you want them all to just
move to just go churn butter and pay no mind
to electronics and anything. There are threats everywhere. Yes, Jannis
has some sort of involvement with a prediction company, I

(01:16:34):
got it. Yes, there are professional teams who play in
Las Vegas and there's casinos everywhere, got it. But you
either trust them or you don't. And if somebody makes
a mistake like the Guardian's closer who got popped, or
y'af cio Puig who got popped and is looking at
potentially twenty five years, or if Jannis does something he

(01:16:55):
gets popped, it doesn't mean you make sure that you
safe proof and nerve up the entire thing. It just
means they got exposed. Just because there's a cookie on
the table didn't mean you have to eat it. There's
a cookie on the table, if Jannis takes a bite
out of it, act accordingly. If not, gamble your ass off,

(01:17:15):
what do you care? And with that, it's time for this.

Speaker 3 (01:17:21):
Locked it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
Let's lockch it and no and no knocks locks.

Speaker 1 (01:17:27):
All right, So let's look back on where we left off.
We had Conference championship weekend. We had two games and
we were sitting at five hundred and A lot changed
after Conference Championship weekend, and by a lot, I mean
nothing at all. We had the Denver Broncos getting four

(01:17:50):
and a half points in a snow globe game where
nobody could see anything and apparently neither could Sean Payton.
But somehow, some way, Denver with Jared Stidham and Sean
Payton passing up field goals to go up ten to
nothing early in a game we had the Broncos plus

(01:18:12):
four and a half and we won. So we're feeling
good about things. And then we get to the NFC
Title game and Sean McVay, similar to Sean Payton, is like,
you know what, forget field goals. I'll just go for
it and get stopped. We had the Rams plus two
and a half, and unfortunately we couldn't get it done.

(01:18:32):
So much like the rest of the playoffs, we have
been going dead even all the way through three and three.
The first week two and two, the second week one
and one, the third week which brings us to the
super Bowl, we can't go dead even. There's one pick
to make to try and break the six and six

(01:18:54):
record in the postseason. So with that, it's time for
this the Patriots versus Seahawks. I said it earlier, there's
a weird vibe. Weird vibe because I don't think anybody
really expected anybody really expected either of these teams to
be here. You're walking around the streets of San Francisco,

(01:19:15):
and nobody really knows how to act normal. I mean,
it's probably because you know what you see outside when
you're trying to get to the radio to media center
there at the Moscone Center. But nonetheless, nobody really knows
or has a good grasp on this game because nobody
expected this to be the matchup, and so I'm looking
at it going Seattle's seriously the better team, Like Seriously,

(01:19:37):
they're the better team. But then you got New England
just kind of hanging around. And one of the things
that it gets overlooked is that New England defense. Sam
Darnold's not seen them yet. He saw San Francisco, he
saw the Rams twice already in the season. And so
because of that, I got New England plus four and
a half. I think it'll be Seahawks winning the game

(01:19:57):
twenty to sixteen. But with that hook, New England covers,
and that is your Super Bowl pick for Knox Locks
shonas son of a Bitch
