at least that was one of the more entertaining matches
we've seen in a World Cup full of entertaining matches.

is a whole other level where like I was, I
was around some Brits when when I can't remember who
they were playing, but the next match, if they won,

so they're so they're watching, We're watching the Mexico City
game and or the Mexico the Mexico game in Mexico
City before that, and the whole time they're like this

is terrifying, like this is like England's gonna have to
go in there and win that match. But there was
this whole like there's obviously always like it's coming home
with the Cup to England. But I think once they
beat Mexico, I think they really felt like this is

to watch too much sports for work and know like
a lot of people, yeah, I bet you the same
guys that are able to wake up at six o'clock
or whatever and watch the Premier League also don't have
like that much of an end depth knowledge about the

believing Cleveland is the most likely, and maybe it is.
Maybe he does go back to Cleveland for you know,

second time of going back there, right, because you are

but obviously he's making up for it and all these

take it and all the they could have won that
game four to one because as soon as Messi got

There's a reason none of these teams are like trying

bad dude or he's just not that impactful. Whereas Tobias
Harris as roller Coasters, his career has been. You saw

how integral he was to them, just getting pastoral like
he had like seven straight games of twenty points or
more like he delivered at least this time in the playoffs.
They need to go get someone who can do something
with the ball so kid cunning him doesn't have to
do everything and turn the ball over eighty times in

drafted that kid out of was it Santa Clair or
Maryland or something, I can't remember. The kid the point

was a good is a good basketball player. They moved

addition to that team. And I think that they're in
a prime position. The NBA is in a weird spot

where Jalen like Jalen Brown got salary dumped, Like it's
that's the way we would have said it five years ago.
That's a salary dump. And I think that guys like
Luka Doncic essentially got like traded pre salary, Like that's
the bit, Like I'm looker looking at these moves that happen,

and you could point to like that doesn't smell right?
Why does that make sense? And it's because of like
heart Essentially there's a hard cap. You have to look
at it through NFL lenses. Now, if you have two
great wide receivers, you can't pay both of them. And
so I think that the Pistons have put themselves in
a situation by keeping their powder to drive throughout this period.

Roster, but have been one that's a roster that over
the last well last year, last two years hosted playoff games,
sure right, and then are one playoff games on the
road at least, and then was the best regular season

He didn't play another one after that other one. But
the fact remains that of this very heralded draft class

coming in one that they changed the rules of NBA
tanking as a result of uh And maybe it's a
part of just recency bias and lack of seeing him
in the tournament, but Caleb Wilson has been the most
impressive Summer League player I have seen thus far.

He's he's the guy for me in this Summer league
so far, and I think you know, I knew he
was good in North Carolina. He had this big rise
like in terms of like prospects pretty much right away,

didn't really know he was this kind of competitor in
high school, Like this is this is different, Like he's

he's wired a little bit differently than what we thought.
And so that pushed him up to like, all right,
he's the fourth guy. And they were and I'll fully
admit like he injres his hand. He you know, his
season is over early, and I just thought I was like,
I understand the buzz he got. Who knows if that
would have kept up, like as not saying like a bust,
but like but also the coach got fired right like
there was a lot of stuff.

Around the program that felt weird. Yeah, it was just
a weird year.

And so like I went into the draft going like,
he will be taking forth and probably should I don't know,
maybe one of these guards should have been up there
for the Bulls right first game I watched his in Vegas,
So no more doubts, no more question, Like was that
the right thing?

Like he is one of those guys like he is
so good, such a competitor, super skilled, He's got plenty

of the big nil guys also seem to be super driven.

as somebody who's trying to evaluate prospects.

year because every year it's an imperfect science. And the
benefit that I have is I don't have to get
fired if I get wrong, you know what I'm saying,

look back in hindsight. I look at Cameron Boozer now
in the way that he's playing, which has been I think,

at least for me, unexpected or a rise to I
didn't necessarily think his game would translate immediately.

And again we're four games in the Summer League.

So take all this with a big grain of salt,
and a look at Kayleb Wilson, who hit seven threes
in his first game. You said you were watching and
hit seven threes the entirety of his North Carolina career.
Now I missed half the season, so on and so forth.

that put it, brought it back up to Karl Anthony
Towns didn't shoot.

Threes in college because coach cal didn't want them to. Yeah,
he wasn't left to.

The college year that these guys spend is mattering less
and less and less to the way my evaluation and
thought process is going into draft processes and soul on
and so forth. It's mattering less and less and less
in terms of like the red flags, the worries, the this,

the that. Because I look at Cambucher, like this guy
looks big, Yeah he gets he looked like he's lost
twenty five pounds.

Right, yeah, no, he's a monster. Do you know what
it's like? And it's like, oh, if I had known
he was gonna be like this, then I would have
had a different opinion, right, And what were they doing
at duke training table three times today?

I also just think that I think part of.

That is Look, not that there aren't elite college basketball
programs that are you know, run like the pros quote
unquote whatever, there's just a difference between getting with NBA nutritionists,
NBA strength coaches, NBA you know workouts and everything, and
the college as much as NIL has, even some of
the paying playing field and all stuff, and some of

these teams pumping in money into into you know, college
programs and everything. There's just there's a reason the elite
of the elite of the elite end up in the NBA.
And once you get into like perfect example, Kawhi Leonard
could not shoot a lick in San Diego State one
summer before the lockout hit. You know, a couple a

month or so with Chip England Spurs shooting legend, right shooting,
shoot shooting Guru legend. All of a sudden, Qui comes
into that rookie year. Once we finally get back to
the basketball court, he can shoot like I don't know what,
like couldn't shoot a lick, and then all of a sudden,
there's a reliable shooter.

Like you just get with the right people.

And it's not always that case with every prospect, but
you get with the right people in the right organizations.
I do think Memphis is so dedicated to developing young talent,
and they're good at it that. Yeah, like Kamboo's are
going there. Of course he's a monster already, like he like,
that's a great situation.

For him, and honestly one for the people of the
city of Memphis. I'm rooting for you. Honestly, I feel
that it's been an attack on Memphis in terms of

tone and tenor where I'm old enough to remember when

hire the one hundred greatest law firms at this kind

three of them investigate each team in the league.

Like I think the NBA without a smoking gun doesn't
know where to go with a potential punishment.

smoking gun. And then I think it becomes very difficult
to say, how do we like we can't let this go,

but also how do we punish in a way that

that makes the most sense of why we are still here.

there was an egg on the league's face from the
Terry Roseier situation, who was under federal investigation, got traded,
has not played in the NBA. Now you have owners

the conversation and trade, so on and so forth.

If I'd Miami, I wouldn't have traded for Terry Rozier.
I think that that would have been straight let's strike

good of a person you have to be to play,
they do the league. Integrity matters a ton, And with this,
it's just shocking to me that Adam Silver had pulled
