Martin Weiss and Monse Bolaños open this week's edition of the show reacting live to Illinois vs. UConn in the NCAA men's basketball tournament! They also give a final preview of the other game, Michigan vs. Arizona, just before it tips off, then react in real time to the action throughout the show. They talk some NBA, discussing the Lakers' outlook now that Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves are both set to miss time ahead of the playoffs. They also pose the question: Did the 65-game threshold rob Luka of the MVP award? Plus, thoughts on an awesome matchup between Wemby and Jokic!

Later, Martin and Monse react to a series of questionable moments among umpires in the MLB over the past week, debating whether we could be seeing the beginning of ABS eventually taking over full time. They also get into the news that Kirk Cousins has signed with the Raiders... When do we think Fernando Mendoza will make his first start? Finally, they react to the recent drama surrounding Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. Plus, more fun with a new edition of "The Sports Court"!

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
That's right, mart Wise, Monster coming to elive one of
Fox Sports Saturday, a final four Fox Sports Saturday. As
you got Illinois going at it right now, Michigan Arizona,
the Nightcap and also you know MONSI, we had a
big NBA game today in which the postgame show, despite

(00:25):
coming on in the afternoon, was still called Nightcap.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Interesting Nicole and beked.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Wyman Yama went blow for bowl, bar for bar, and
we saw that we'll get into that coming up later
on today in this fine program. As I'm joined, Look,
the injury bug in Los Angeles is.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Striking all right.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Luka, dude out Hamstreak, Austin reees out, oh bleak. Mons questionable, questionable, Yes,
but President, but President, I'm not out yet.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
I'm close to the I armor and I am. I
am hurting.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
The first thing she says to me when I walk
in is I'm stealing the box.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
There's a little box you put under your feet. I
prefer it. I'm gonna say it's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I'll get a sacrifice the next three hours because I
feel like I feel like I'm just dangling right now
as you normally are.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I'm usually standing too.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
I like to stand, but I think rest and recovery
is what I need for my injury, which I hate.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
You know, they act the doctor told me less, rest
and recovery. I seem to have mastered the rest and
recovery part, not necessarily the exercising part. Rest and recovery,
I got that one down, Pat. So I can give
you some notes if need be.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
I'm gonna need them. I'm so bad at this. I'm
bad at the rest.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
So if you see our show on the YouTube channel
or any of the videos that come out, and you
see Monty making odd faces, it's not because of that
fire takes you just heard out of me.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
It's because she's a pain.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Maybe it's both, maybe it's both, but definitely the pain.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
So let's start here at the Yukon Illino Final four
could be the final game for a Yukon. Alex Caravan
and Terris Reid, two of the guys who have been
along for the right Caraban the whole time's third final
four in four years for Alex Caraban and Illinois kind
of the new kids on the block here with the

(02:17):
newest kid on the block and Keaton Wagler, who people
were like, wait, who is this kid? Where's he from?
In fact, there's so many European players on the team,
people thought he was from out of town as well. No,
he was just under recruited guy out of Kansas, I believe,
who has now become the best player on that team.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Right, So you.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Got two teams kind of very different in style and
the substance. When you look at a bright Underwood coach team,
a ton of European players, a ton of transferportal, we
look at Yukon, which is a very much do you
guys stay here, We're gonna win this whole thing again,
and we're gonna do it again.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
We're gonna do it again.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
And like, to be honest, Yukon feels like to me,
it's twenty twenty six, like the team of the decade.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Yes, absolutely no, No, don'tter what happened.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
In this game? But what do you think will happen
in this game?

Speaker 5 (03:03):
So I'm starting to maybe feel differently than how I
felt at this you know, ten minutes into the first half,
Illinois is a team that kind of picked up their defense, right,
Like it wasn't what you saw maybe during the regular season,
but now in the NCAA tournament.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
They picked up their defense. They don't take a lot
of threes.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
They like to work in the paint, they like to
get fouled, they like to do that type of work,
and they weren't making shots. So I thought, Yukon is
over here making shots. I'm surprised at how close.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
This game is.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I feel like the moments in the game through the
thirty five minutes, I'd been like, Yukon is having the moments,
the multiple moments, making this shot, making that shot, getting
that offensive rebound, fighting for this ball.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
With Illinois, I.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Feel like they don't look like they should only be
four points.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Down right now. Good for them, Good for them.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
I'm just saying, if you were just watching with your
eyes and not looking at the box score, you'd be like,
it seems like Yuka should be up by a lot,
and they were.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
They were up by what twelve fourteen at one point.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Ye in the first half, you saw it Harris Reed
Junior and Braylan Mullins both kind.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Of pour it in a little bit.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, and that's really been absent in the second half.
They just showed the graphic on TV. Both of those
guys now scoreless through the first fifteen minutes of the
second half, but four to forty five remaining in the game.
We'll keep you updated there, keep an eye on it
as Terris Reed does put the ball in.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
The basket right now to extend that lead to Yukon
for six. We'll keep you there.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Steve Sager is at the update desk as well to
make sure that we are all over this game.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Yes, Monci as somebody who is definitely more versed into
the college landscape.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Do you think people are in a sense.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Hate watching Yukon cheering for Illinois because of the dominance
that like we have experienced with the Huskies over the
last decade. We do this in other sports in professional sports.
Are people hate watching Yukon right now?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
I think that would be more of a potential if
they hadn't flamed out last year, although they look because
they lost.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Second weekend, but you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Still yeah, but it's.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Because it's like it goes Final four, Final four, second weekend,
then final four. If it go on Final four, Final four,
Elite eight, Final four, I think you have a different
feel to it. Even though the team that knocked Yukon
out was eventual champion, right So that's a tough one,
right when you're thinking about it all said and done,
as Illinois clawing back into this one, trying their best
to claw back into this one. I will say this,

(05:21):
what Yukon does have that does them no favors for
your average kind of you know, your tune in a fan, right,
the guy who's not there locked in January thirty first
watching you know, Yukon Marquette in the Big East. They
do have and I say this as I won't go
so far to say as positive, but just a descriptor

(05:43):
and insane man as their head coach, right, like just
a madman.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
And Danny Hurley.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
And Dan Hurley who's a basketball lifer who's been involved
in this thing. His brother Bobby, his dad a legendary
high school coach, and these guys who have been in
the fourth at the forefront of basketball since they were
the age of the players that are now coaching, right,
because when they were in college that was the big deals.
Were doing the show last week with Olden. He was
telling me about Bobby el right, so how he played

(06:11):
with Bobby. So you have this guy who was a
singular personality, and I think in college sports specifically. Those
personalities helped drive and identify who's who. But to you
to the point that you're making, is anybody hate watching
If they're hate watching, they're probably hate watching Danner.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Him specifically, Yes, especially with the most recent I mean
the most recent incident.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
That was nuts. I've never seen.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
A situation where a ref and a coach gets so
close together.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Could you have put a paper through them?

Speaker 3 (06:43):
No? I was thinking about this, could.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
You have put a paper between them?

Speaker 2 (06:47):
The list of people in the world who could touch
my forehead with no recourse very short.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
I'm gonna say two.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yeah, I'm thinking like my.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Right, yeah, no father, but like especially forehead to four out.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
Yeah, with no repercussion, with intensity, like with intensity.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
So you know, I actually thought, what was your what
was what was your first uh? Your first reaction in
that moment?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
I said, what are you doing?

Speaker 4 (07:17):
You gotta get a tech? Oh you're not. Oh oh
he's not getting a tech. It was like Homelander. Do
you watch the Boys?

Speaker 3 (07:24):
I'm familiar with holand Homelander.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
There's like a scene in Homelander where he does something
atrocious and he thinks everyone's going to judge him and
boo him and then people clap and he's.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Like, oh, oh, we're cool with that, We are cool
with my actions.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Yeah, we've reset the standard.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Yeah exactly. And I felt like that was that moment
for me.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
I was just kind of experiencing that, like Homelander was like, oh,
we're cool with this.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
So I actually was perfectly fine with there being no
technical foul, uh giving out on that moment.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
And with it too. I'm just shocked about it, you
know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (07:57):
And I think because I am a big intent guy, right,
and if Dan Hurley for example, had been yelling at
the referee and didn't make contact him, yes.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Yes, come on, but it wasn't surrounded by that exactly.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
And so like honestly my first saw it.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
My first thought was, I think that Hurley was so
twisted up in his moment that he thought the ref
was another person of the coaching that. And then and
then what I thought was actually realized and said, oh wait,
you're not You're not let me back away, because he
was you know, backslapping and you know, bomping and all

(08:39):
the celebratory like celebratory violence that you'll see like let
me slaps you on the ash real hard. It's like,
you know, it's because it's fun. Let me win, you know,
it's like, but it's like, I that's kind of what
I thought. I did not think that there should have
been a technical foul at any point. Did you hear
the Duke radio broadcast of the shot.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
I didn't he live, but I so you eventually did eventually, yes.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
So what I didn't care for is the idea that,
like you always say, they called the police immediately, right
like Duke was like, wait the MALKI spent this rat
on the court, right Dan early, it's head.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Buddy, people get that anarchy out here. What do we do?
You just lost.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
You just blew a nineteen point lead. It's over with understandable.
You would like it to be anything but what it is,
but that is what it is. You would like to
be anything but what it is, but that is what
it is.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
No.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Absolutely, it unraveled. They didn't.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
They couldn't believe it. They were looking for answers because
they couldn't believe.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
The answer was simple.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
That you you lost, yes, and that's all it was.
I like what you said about Dan Hurley and the
ref that maybe he realized it was someone else in
the moment because you're right. Once they kind of like
their foreheads touched, nothing else happened.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
There was no other movement, like.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
His arms didn't come up, He's nothing was said.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
It was just like a moment of like, oh, snow.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Keep the police analogies, like you know you were you
know you were going about thirteen over?

Speaker 7 (10:07):
Did you guys see his response though, like he was
asked about it on a podcast this week, all right, Yeah,
he said he thought the guy was coming to chess
bump him, right.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
And he sure the official said you have three point
four seconds left or whatever, and he was a zero
point four rather seconds left, and Dan was like.

Speaker 7 (10:24):
Okay, yeah, can you imagine if the ref had like
gone over and Chess bumped him in celebration in that.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Moment, that would be a story for agent.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Yeah, it would have been a story the other way, right,
because that would have definitely not necessarily had the view
of impropriety are shown, a view of impropriety that we
would not.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Have cared to.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
See nine point margin now two thirty left in the
second half for the Yukon Huskies and the Illinois fighting
a nine eye, which is honestly has been kicking my
ass all day.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
That is a hard thing to say.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
It really is. I won't say it fighting a lie.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
It's very very difficult for me to say. Is Toyakovic
miss a free throw?

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Come on, Stojakovic?

Speaker 2 (11:05):
All right, So let's look ahead, Manci to the next
game of the Final four.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
I'm sorry, America, business is a free throw?

Speaker 4 (11:11):
The other itch?

Speaker 8 (11:12):
Right?

Speaker 7 (11:13):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Michigan Arizona? Who do you think is going to win
that game? Both of these games, by the way, in
Vegas pick thems basically.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Yeah, no, for real, I picked Arizona to win the
whole thing.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
And so are you gonna have your previous bias just
make you wrong today?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
And I'm just kidding my You know what.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
I was saying is because all season long, and not
just from you, Martin, but like all season long, I
heard a lot.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Like Michigan's the best team. Michigan's the best team. I'm
talking during the regular.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Season, right, and then they they don't win their tournament,
and so at the end they kind of like, I
was like, maybe they're not the best team. And then
Arizona has come in and looked so dominant. But at
the same time, so it was Michigan in this NCAA Tournament.
I think it's gonna be a nice, a really good battle.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
I'm still gonna give it to Arizona.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
You could have been a legend.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Mon No, I'm not fun bigger.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Here's why Michigan's gonna win this game. And this is honest.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
I do think that Arizona is the worst matchup that
Michigan has seen thus far for at the tournament, right,
I thought the Michigan it's hard to say that they
should they should have been the number one overall seed
because they lost to Duke straight up. But I thought
that the Duke was I thought that I thought Michigan
was a better team. I know that the straight up
margin and that has the matter. So that's why we

(12:33):
have the this side of the bracket that we do anyway.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Where Arizona is really good to me.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Backcourt, obviously, Jayden Bradley to me, he's the X factor
of this game.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
If he goes off, I think Michigan is gonna have
a tough, a tough spot.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
But when I'm looking at Berry's and Pete, I'm looking
at guys like Lendenberg and Pete kind of match each other,
and I think Cole Pete is probably the best pro
on that team.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
But Lendenberger is also five.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Like four and a half years older than Yeah, Like
the talking points that people have been saying are actually
they matter, Like it does matter that Michigan is that
that has a lot more experience and just honestly a
little bit of more grown man strength. And I sound
crazy saying somebody got grown more grown man strength than
co Opete because that boy, you know, they shoulders stole

(13:23):
up doorways, right, But I'm just I think across the board,
the Michigan two, the tent twin tower lineup at Michigan
will ultimately be able to counterbalance the fact that Arizona
has probably better guard play than Michigan does. I think
Michigan the better wings and biggs. I think that's gonna

(13:44):
end up doing it. Plus neither these teams really shoot
that many three pointers, but Arizona really don't shoot three pointers.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Really.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
I was just about to say, is it too simple
for me to say whoever does better from beyond the
arc may win for the purpose of the Wolverines because
you open it up for London Born.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
If you start making threes, you're going to open it
up for him on the inside and make it easier.
But if you don't make threes and they and they,
you know, come into the paint, it's going to be
difficult for the Wolverines to to do damage on the inside.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
So I was to say, it's like, is it too
simple to put it like that?

Speaker 5 (14:19):
Whoever can shoot the ball from beyond the arc is
probably going to win this game.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
And I think that that will be Michigan, and I
think that'll be ultimately why what I said in January
will ultimately hold true in April. Michigan basketball is going
to win the remainder of the games in this basketball
season by double digits.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
I mean they have so far, right, I think all
the games they've won by double digits.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Yeah, so has Arizona.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
I didn't make the Klan butt Arizona though, and actually
they have it. They lost in the Big Than championship game.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Oh, I'm telling you about that.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
I was like specifically time about the NCAA tournament.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
They have both Illinois and Michigan have won each game. Yes,
and so a tournament coming up. We'll talk about a
guy who skipped college. It's a prodigy. I suppose you say,
but this is this rule really just screwing guys over.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Because I just think everybody's just crying. Why to complain?

Speaker 7 (15:14):
It?

Speaker 4 (15:14):
There at complaining a lot to complain. I'm complaining.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
It's okay.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
We got laws, we got rules, and you know what,
some of them are good and this one is too.

The injury bug has struck La like the locusts in
the Bible.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
I mean they are just it is over everywhere.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Luka donchets out with the hamstring often reeves I'm gonna
miss the rest of the regular season with an oblique injury.
Just a couple of days ago, everything was fine, Mansi.
Belana is questionable with the groin, all right. She hurt
herself playing volleyball, that ran on it, then ran again.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Now she can't walk. I mean she's out for the
rest of the regular season.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
The clips are in the play in so she didn't
even get a week off, all right.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
So when you're.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Thinking about all of these things, here, yeah, Luca dogs
who The conversation for NBA MVP this season has been
a funny one because the debate has really been, for
all being honest, it's really been who deserves the silver
medal for MVP, which does not exist. It's been Shaye
the entirety of the time, right, But now there's this

(17:57):
conversation going around saying, Luka donc.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
It has been robbed because.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
With his hamstring injury he suffered over a couple days ago,
he is not going to cross over the sixty five
game threshold. He along with many other players, are not
going to cross the sixty five game threshold to be
eligible for things like all NBA MVP and the like.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Manci was Lucas screwed.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
Or no, no, not at all. It's just unfortunate that
he got hurt.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
Right now, at this point in the series because a
lot or at this point in the regular season, because
a lot of these players did do load management just
earlier on.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Right, like they did it to prevent from being injured.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
So it's like, it's unfortunate that right now this is
happening to you, just like Kate Cunningham. Kate Cunningham was
also having an MVP worthy season to discuss. I agree
with you that I do think Sga shakekil just Alexander
has been at the top of the list this year.
Have you heard about the foul merchant as much as
last year? Not even a little bit, right, Like, it's

(18:58):
just he was hurt. Okay, he was fine, but he's
he had so many moments, game winners that I remember
throughout the year. This year alone, I think it's him.
Wemby is a close one. I like that Wemby wants
to win it. I like that he goes out there
and he does a little bit of everything in the
game to affect whether the Spurs.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Winner or not.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
This thing with Luca, you guys are sicking like, yeah,
he was the MVP this last month. Yeah, okay, but
over the course of the year, Luca is not the MVP.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Well yelse he had a good start to the season
as well, kind of a lull around right NFL playoffs
he had like a lull and but either way, I
say yield as Alexander is the MVP and MVP's zero
some game.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
If one guy is the MVP, the another by definition
are not.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
So I'm not necessarily but on the All NBA side
of things, I do not care for the fact that,
like to me, sixty five games should matter for MVP,
like because we are selecting a singular person. When you
are selecting All NBA teams, I would like there to
be a little bit of gray area. I think that
when you're looking at the story of the NBA this season,

(20:03):
I think it's pretty much undeniable that two of the
five best players in the league this year were Luka
Doncics and Kate Cunningham, and the fact that the All
NBA teams won't reflect that at all is an.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Issue to me.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
However, the reason why Luka Doncic is not going to
make the All NBA teams is a lot to do
with himself. If he did not get a game taken
away by complaining to the officials for not foul calls
they made for calls that they did not make. Oftentimes,
I think referees can have a little bit more of

(20:39):
leeway if you are complaining about a foul that was called,
then if you are complaining about a foul that wasn't right,
like because generally it's the defender who is the guy
who's be complaining about that call, And then you could
have a conversation what did I do wrong?

Speaker 3 (20:55):
How did you see something wrong?

Speaker 2 (20:57):
When you're complaining on the offensive side of thing, you're saying,
how could you miss this right? How can you possibly
miss did you blind s so b? How did you
even get it? Did you drive? Take his license?

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Right?

Speaker 2 (21:09):
You know what I'm saying? Like that, that's kind of
how the conversation tends to go. And so I think
that when you're looking like I do not, And maybe
that's me just being DRACONI and maybe I'm just sick
of looking at it, but I do not hold like
the Cunningham to me is a basketball tragedy. Yes, right,
So this to me, Luca doncis is not you missed
the game for for arguing and complaining and if he's

(21:31):
able to get it on the back end because of
missing the game for the birth of his child, then congratulations,
you were able to loophole your way in.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
But then others should be able to loop their loophole
their way.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
So it's but it's there's if you missed x amount
of games due to family, I guess the impending breath
of a child will be filed under family emergency.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Sure, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Is an emergency. You know that's an emergency.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
I'm so glad that I completely forgot about the technical
for Luca Danches because they also rescinded the first sixteenth
technical for him.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
So it's like, you.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
Really could have saved yourself another game. And we're coming
here towards the end of the season where I like
what you said. I think it would the all NBA
stuff is definitely something that would need to be discussed
because there should be great area. I also mentioned that
for Kawhi Leonard, Kawhi Leonard has played sixty one games.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
He can still make the sixty.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
Five and the only reason the Clippers are in the
position that they are right now is because of what
Kawhi Leonard has done.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
Kawhi Leonard has played out of his mind basketball this
year and has played already sixty one games.

Speaker 5 (22:33):
I think the Clippers have five games left, so he's
basically got to play while Victor win Banyama has to
play two of the next three for the Spurs for
him to reach sixty five because he didn't play against
the Clippers two days ago and the Clippers still lost.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
Damn it Clippers. But that all I agree.

Speaker 5 (22:49):
If Kawhi Leonard is not on the All NBA team,
I will be so upset because he absolutely deserves it.
Luca deserves it, Kay deserves it, Wenby deserves it. And
then the Edwards is one that also didn't make the
cut is.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
And those are guys that should all be Those are
all guys who have been fifteen of the best players
in the NBA this year.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Do you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Like like, so, whether you put Kawhi first team, second
team thirteen, whether you put wherever, they should qualify for
a war absolutely well, Moncie, we do have a qualifier
for the National Championship game.

Speaker 10 (23:22):
It's a turnover and the upon Hutsky's continue their Final
Four domination, upon will head to the National Championship to
point for their third title in the last four years.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Their seventh championship.

Speaker 10 (23:39):
Overall on the line Monday night when the seventy one
sixty two win over the Illinois fighting a line.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
On that's west Wood One. A happy Dan Hurley and
I'm sure even happier Aaron Torres. Nowlet's kick it over
for more on that game.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Steve de Seger.

Speaker 11 (23:56):
We still have a game coming up in about a
half an hour.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Yeah, right, we do.

Speaker 11 (24:00):
Battle of One seats Michigan Arizona. I assume a lot
of people had that matchup in their brackets. These were
two of the most impressive teams all season long. Of course,
Duke was another one of those.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
And they're not here.

Speaker 11 (24:13):
Yukon is here. Yukon to another championship game, seventy one
sixty two Tonight's final, eliminating Illinois in a national semifinals
the Iliini from three point range six for twenty six
for the Yukon Huskies. Alex Caraban one of eight, shooting
most of that from long distance. Nine points terror three
junior seventeen points, eleven rebounds, Connecticut advances. The updated injuries

(24:38):
for the Lakers yes yesterday was the announcement on Luka
Donsich Grade two hamstring strain will miss at least the
rest of the regular season. Same thing for his teammate
Austin Reeves, missing at least the rest of the regular
season his injury, a Grade two left oblique muscle injury,
who got only three games on the NBA schedule, and
tonight's the only one in progress as Detroit Leeds at

(25:01):
Philadelphia eighty one sixty seven in the third earlier, Miami
won one fifty two to one thirty six over the
Washington Wizards. Wizards record now seventeen and sixty. Denver won
and over time edging the Spurs, who've won almost every
game they've played the last couple of months, but not
in Denver today one thirty six, one thirty four Nuggets

(25:21):
the final. Nikola Jokic with forty points into the Naysmith
Basketball Hall of Fame in the class of twenty twenty six,
Mark Few and Doc Rivers as coaches, Joey Crawford, former referee,
also players Candace Parker, Shamiko Holds Claw, Elena deladn Amari Stademayer,
and also in from the Women's Committee the nineteen ninety

(25:43):
six US women's national team as a group to the
NHL at Tampa Bay Lightning over the Bruins three to one.
Final at Pittsburgh Penguins a nine to four winner against
the Panthers. Colorado won again two nothing the final at
Dallas and among the daytime ballgame, James Dodgers slugged their
way to another win in DC ten to five over

(26:03):
Washington sixteen hits for La Houston at eighteen hits and
won eleven nothing at the A's. Padres won at Boston
three to two, and it was Pirates three to two
over the Orioles Cubs at Guardians postponed by bad weather.
They'll play a doubleheader tomorrow. Wins today for the White Sox,
Brewers and the Tigers, who won eleven six against the Cardinals.

(26:24):
Among the games in progress, Rays are leading for to
one at the Twins in the fifth back the year.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Thanks Steve, appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
And again, like I said, you kind going to the
National Championships game their third and four years, like we
can't blow past this because if I'm not mistaken, the
only teams that even come close to a stretch of
success like this would be UCLA and Kentucky. And I
mean like the John Wooden UCLA and like feels like

(26:55):
Kentucky not even be funny like presegregation, Like I like, sincerely,
we do not see dominance like this in men's college basketball.
On women's college basketball is a little bit of a restory, right,
It's kind of that field has been kind of written
by Tennessee every so often in LSU, but primarily Yukon

(27:15):
and more recently South Carolina, with a little blit from Iowa.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Here and there.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
Right, Yeah, that's who kind of has written the story
of women's college basketball.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
Here.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
On the men's side, I think you got your blue bloods, obviously,
But what Yukon has done so far, I don't think
it's a crazy take.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
I don't think it's a hot take.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
I don't even think it's prisoner of the moment to say,
no matter what happens Monday night, Yukon has already been
the team of the twenty twenties, because there's not enough
years left for somebody to catch up.

Speaker 5 (27:47):
What they've done is impressive, especially with the landscape with
nil and teams being able to recruit a little bit
more than in the past, and especially not just with
last year.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
But at the end of the season, you can't had
some bad games. Didn't they lose to Marquette.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
This is yes, they lost some Marquette in which Dan
Hurley was ejected with one second left for making contact
with an official.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Yea, we got like at the they just did not
look good by the end of the regular season. And
here that I'm with you, like, it is impressive what
they've done.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
Did you where how far did you have them going?

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (28:22):
Yeah, you you did all all chock.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
I had Yukon going to the little bit El.

Speaker 5 (28:26):
Eight and then yeah, you would have had them there,
it would have been there.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
Yeah, I definitely did not. I had u c l A.
You know, I think beating Yukon, I get it sometimes.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Yeah, I understand you did that show with Hartman for
all those years that he.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
Believe he can a little bit.

Speaker 5 (28:47):
I just thought they looked weak at the end of
the regular season. I just was like, this is this
is not gonna this seems not gonna go far. And
didn't even had to do with last year and how
they ended. It's just it is impressive what they've been
able to pull out this year.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
So MANSI, Yeah, a moment something happened in uh.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Before today's game between Michigan and Arizona in the stadium
in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where they are, and
it was something that I saw and was like.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Oh boy, this could age like milk.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Dufty May, head coach of the University of Michigan, was
watching the first half of Illinois Yukon in the stands
Monci in the stands. Now, I am not there obviously

(29:43):
to start the game, pregame whatever.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
I don't know what the pregame routine is.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
I would imagine he didn't probably break routine too drastically, right, However,
at by definition the second or third biggest game left
of the college basketball season, depending on what happens.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
You know what I'm saying, Like there's only three left.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
You are not back in the office, not not going
over your game plan, not you're sitting on this in
the stands. Not just she's not like eating popcorn having
a beer. He's advanced scouting, right, He's not. He's not there.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
He's not like you.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Yes, the last last Aburne Oracle Park, you know, God
got out of there.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Like he's not shouting no, I was shouting.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Yeah, I'm sure he's just sitting there and watching mine
his business behind his glasses, but sure enough was out there,
not in the locker room.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
ONTs of your thoughts.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
I don't have a problem with it. I don't know
if it's if I would feel differently. Maybe if you're
telling me this is Tylo before a big Clipper game
in the playoffs, if I'm gonna feel differently.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Okay, I'm gonna tell you that this is ty.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Lou Okay for Game seven and a half of the
NFNA Finals. But look literally, games like this do not
exist in pro sports, where it's winner go home in
the same way.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
One thousand.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
The reason I say I'm not bothered by it is
because I would assume he's doing that because he has
prepped his team to the fullest extent, and he trusts
what they've already discussed, what has been said. The game
plan is set, it is in motion, and so I
have no problem with it. Maybe he needed to step
away and let them have their own moment without the

(31:27):
head coach.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
You know what, I really don't have a problem with it.
Do you have a problem with it?

Speaker 5 (31:32):
I you know, do you think it shows like he's scared?

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Scared? Is not where I was?

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Okay, okay, but is in that direction, like he's worried.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
I'm going to be clear.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Playing the results okay, because I do think I do think.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
That this is what that says. I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
I don't think Dusty May does not strike me as
a trash talker or like.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
He's doing something too up stage his opponent.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
That was definitely what it looked like, but I don't
think that's exactly what he was doing.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
I do think there's a level of we are so calm,
we are so prepared.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
There's nothing more that we are going to do at
the eleventh hour that we did not do an hour, six,
seven and eight building up to this moment. We have
an hour before the game. Sometimes you have paralysis buying analysis.
We have too much information, We have too many things
that we need to go as long and I have.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
Honestly, and to the.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Point, I've been saying this since January, Michigan's biggest opponent
is in the mirror, right if they go out and
play their style of basketball. All season, They've been beaten
teams by double digits and it hasn't even been particularly close.
I got some really, really good teams, So you better
come out and play well. You have to better come

(32:46):
out and play well, because you should have just been
sitting there in the back drinking a coke right watching it.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
Still watch it.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
Just don't be out watch it.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
Just don't be out there.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
But it is kind of like a badass move, Like
you know what I'm saying, He's like, I've done what I've.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Done, Ready to go. I want to see what you
guys are.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
It will be it.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Will be again now and so this one, to me
would be the ultimate badass move.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
Yeah, it would make it the ultimate.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Bad ass which would be if Michigan comes out and
just the same way they did against Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
You know, it's like, oh mar picks up two quick fouls.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Oh Linderbergh has a shot in ten minutes, you know
what I think, Let's press that button.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Let's play those guys.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
And then all of a sudden, we're going into this
thing and it's literally over with eighteen minutes left in
the second half, and you're sitting back talking about Hey,
like me and my buddies were in the group text
like so they got to get the starters out of here.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Mantius D eight.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Yeah you can't.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Well, no, we're.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Like Tennessee's got nothing to lose, and they're looking they're
pushing people around, and people are not They're not very
happy with how this thing is going. And they don't
like the fact that they keep making threes. They don't
like the fact they keep getting dunked on, and they're
starting to express this you know saying, and it's like
they're going home after this. Michigan has achampionship to go in. Yeah,
and jacksvill Lindon ber looks to be honest. Jacksul Lindenberg

(34:03):
is instigator. It's not afraid to mix it up. And
at the end of a thirty five point margin in
the postseason, is not mixing time. That's gonna sit on
the bench and clap for the walk on time.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Right.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
So Michigan ended up getting to that spot. And there
is a level this team has had of just incredible
confidence all year. But I know this, if I was coaching,
if I was coaching Arizona, Tommy Lloyd, I would have
looked at that and I would have said, this little

(34:42):
m effort, You've got to be kidding me, do you
know what I saying? You've got to be kidding me.
And Tommy Lloyd's got one to talk because he's been
doing a whole lot of a whole lot more than
just coaching Arizona this week with all the North.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
Carolina rumors, but even still, are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (34:58):
You're just gonna sit up there and watch that's the
game like your kid is playing.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
Are you kidding me? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Cover it up, Decks, We'll do it. Addition to a
sports court, I think todmy Lloyd would say, Dusty Man.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
It's guilty, guilt, They guilt and guilty.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Radio comes to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
Martin Weiss, Montsey Bolgos getting ready for the second game
of the Final Four today, Michigan and Arizona getting ready
to tip off in about thirty minutes.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Right now, Sports court.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
The defense is wrong.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Sports sports court?

Speaker 7 (35:36):
All right, yep, the sports court. So we've got a
few people from around the world of sports that are
accused here in the sports court, and we are going
to have you two the jury tell me whether they
are guilty or not guilty after I present to you
their case. So let's start with Gino Oriema stands accused.
So the Yukon women's basketball team, as you guys alluded
to saw their hopes at a perfect season go up

(35:56):
in flames yesterday when they lost to South Carolina.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
Has happened after the game.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
He won finally bound here.

Speaker 8 (36:07):
The officials will hold the players now, Don and Gino getting.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Into it a little bit on the sideline.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
As Gino has to be held back and Don and Gino.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
That's part of what makes this rivalry.

Speaker 8 (36:21):
Such a propelling one.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
As they exchanged words at center court.

Speaker 7 (36:29):
So yes, they exchanged words. It's a nice way of
putting it at center court. It was a heated exchange
there as apparently it was initiated by Gino Ariema so
Gino Arima Yukon women's basketball head coach. Guilty or not
guilty here of being a sore loser Monci of.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
Being a sore loser. Guilty, Sure, guilty, County, But it's
not that serious. It's just kind of like, I can't
say that I would not be a sore loser in
a moment like that, in a situation like that.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
But yeah, he didn't look good. I think he knew,
but I don't. It's not the it's not the end
of the world. He had a bad moment.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
He lost guilty. Put his ass in jail.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
And honestly, both of these coaches have shown to me
that they are sore losers.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
When they do lose.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Yeah, all right, and they are very It doesn't happen
very often, so I think that's the best advice you got.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
If you're going to lose like this, you better win a.

Speaker 7 (37:21):
Lot Yeah all right. Next up, Lebron James stands accused.
So yeah, he's always accused in the sports cort here.
This time it's because while golfing on the Bob Does
Sports YouTube show. This week, Lebron said he might have
pulled an Eli Manning and refused to play for Memphis
if the Grizzlies had won the two thousand and three
lottery and tried to select him first. Overall, he said

(37:43):
he always hates any trip he ever has to take
to Memphis and even suggested the Grizzlies should move two
hundred miles east over to Nashville, the capitol and most
populous city in Tennessee. A lot of Memphis residents are
pretty upset with him for saying this. But what do
you guys think, Lebron guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Martin?

Speaker 3 (37:58):
I go guilty pokm.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
He's guilty of being rich for the last twenty three years.
It would be, like, I'm quite honestly seriously, because if
the Memphis Grizzlies had had the number one pick in
two thousand and three, you know where Lebron would have
win Memphis if you'd been happy to freaking do it. Okay,
at eighteen years old, you'd be very happy to do it.
I understand that Memphis doesn't have a rich Carlton like
the other twenty nine NBA cities, and you got a

(38:22):
plummet like the rest of us at the Hyatt Centric.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
I'm sorry, but.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Outside of that, that's really all it boils down to.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
And you're also guilty of youtubeing golf. What who the
hell does sports?

Speaker 4 (38:35):
Straight to jail?

Speaker 3 (38:36):
What they saying he did? He did that?

Speaker 4 (38:40):
Lebron?

Speaker 5 (38:40):
Why, I just don't understand how you thought you were
gonna say that and how it was gonna come off
like it makes you look like a good dude. There
was no reason for you to say that. Why are
you throwing them under the bus? Come on, man, like Lebron,
you're so annoying.

Speaker 7 (38:57):
Next time, Steph Curry stands accused. So the Warriors. Warriors
star Steph Curry has missed the past couple of months
with knee injury. After leaving the Pistons game early on
January thirtieth. The Warriors are thirteen and twenty five in
the thirty eight games that he's missed this year, and
currently sit tenth in the Western Conference. Sean Serania reported yesterday, though,
that Steph is expected to make his return tomorrow against
the Rockets. A lot of fans of the Warriors have

(39:19):
been calling for the team to shut him down, though
just for the year, because they don't really have much
shot of contending, But Steph Curry's been hell bent on returning.
So what do you guys think? Steph Curry?

Speaker 4 (39:26):
Guilty or not guilty? MONSI not guilty.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
I did not do it.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
Hot.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
You guys don't want to see Steph Curry out there?

Speaker 4 (39:33):
What are we even saying?

Speaker 5 (39:34):
If he's good to go and he wants to play,
why are we gonna?

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Who are you the Milwaukee Bucks? Come on? Let him play?

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Stephan absolutely not got.

Speaker 4 (39:42):
Yeah, I'm innocent and pople.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
That we can't in the same breath talk about the
sixty five game rule and mind be mad when guys
want to play, he wants to go to work.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
Let him go to work, because you know what, quite honestly,
we only do this in basketball.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
What is it the what is the Are you really
worried about the war? Picking eighth or sixth or whatever
like this? Is that gonna make the biggest difference? I
think not play steph.

Speaker 7 (40:08):
Squeeze one more in the Washington Wizards stand a cue.
So on April Fool's Day of this week, the Wizards
invited a fan onto the court, had him take a
blindfolded half court shot. He missed, of course, but they
acted like he made it as part of an April
fool sprank. So what do you guys think? Washington Wizard's
guilty or not guilty?

Speaker 3 (40:24):
Not guilty? Who's guilty? Devastating to my case? It's freaking
April Fools Day? People, Do you really think do we
really think like you? People are idiots?

Speaker 2 (40:35):
If you really think that the multi million dollar organization
is just gonna pull the rug on ten thousand some
dollars for some jerk out the stands.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
And everybody was in on it, even the guy. It
just fell flat.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
Dumb dumb dumby.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Please don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
That's fine, We're broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio
studios here in Los Angeles. Hey, you know what Montcie
I was saying, Earyl, I didn't care for duff teammate
watching the first half of Illinois Yukon as Michigan Wolverine
prepared for the Arizona Wildcats tipping in about forty minutes

(41:13):
or so.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
I was a little worried about it.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
But what I didn't realize was there was a full
chain smoker's concert in between both games.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
He had plenty of time to go back and prepare.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
He was fine. It went like you said.

Speaker 5 (41:25):
He wasn't there having a drink, eating a hot dog, chilling.
He was there working. It was just a different type
of work in the moment. And also there's something there's
nothing else he can do or say to prep this team, Martin.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
They're ready and they're not ready. Well, they were.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
Ready by this point. Does this concert look like it
would be fun to go to for you?

Speaker 3 (41:46):
No, I don't think so. I was just thinking about that. Man.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
I don't I can't hear the music, but it's like
I am not incentivized to turn the volume upper.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Though it was yeah, it was it. It was allegedly
it was, if you say so.

Speaker 7 (42:00):
We just played a little bit in here.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Oh well, at least it was commercial break, studio privilege.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
All right, Mary mack locked in to the Changemokers. All right,
Final four.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Actually, we'll get to the Michigan and Arizona thing coming
up in just a bit of Monsie. Let's go over
to the diamond, go around the horn a bit, because he's.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
In full swing.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
Maybe for some folks.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
For some people, she'd b Buckner and other umpires among
him have been having It's been a rough start of
the year.

Speaker 5 (42:37):
Extra for him too. Extra in twenty four hours was
rough for him.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
So Abs, it's the craze sweeping the nation. Monzi.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Now, I'm not talking about anti lock breaks, but you've
seen now, you've seen more batters tapping their helmets.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
And I love the fact that baseball has made like three.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
To me and changes that both kept the game feeling
the same way but also just massively improved it, like
like massively improved it. Like the seat belt was a
really in the in the grand scheme of things, a
small change, right cars in general, we're doing all this

(43:26):
everything they were doing before the seatbelt.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
But you put the seat belt in a.

Speaker 4 (43:29):
Car and all of a sudden, whoa game changer?

Speaker 3 (43:32):
Game changer?

Speaker 2 (43:33):
All right, That's how I feel about like AVS is
like it was like and you look at it, and
you look, how did we ever do this before? You
mean to tell me that there were people just flying
through win chields for thirty years, forty and fifty years
in these cars. You mean to tell me we were
just allowing these bad balls and straight calls just to happen.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
And we were and we're better for it. Uh. The
only the only baseball changers don't like is ghost runner.
Get that.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
Get that out of here, Get out of here, this
ghost running. You should have to earn a base.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
You should have to earn a base at least. It's
only during the regular season, yes, at.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
Least, And but I get it.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
I guess that is another baseball admission that they admit
we're playing different sports in the regular season of the postseason.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
They purposely do that because they want to end the game.
And they're they're.

Speaker 5 (44:17):
Not denying it, you know, they know it's not really yeah,
you know what they're like, we just want to end it.
We want nine innings and if not, okay, then let's
quickly do the ten eleven innings and move on.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
I do think this though, on all of the advancements,
you know, all the technology, I don't think that umpires
have to be too worried overall. Now she'd be butner.
I'd be a little worried if I was, because this
is what's gonna happen. If I was Angel Hernandez years past,
it'd be a little word Joe West, I'd be a

(44:47):
little concerned. Okay, Now, these are guys that we know
historically for having troubles with the balls and the strikes.
But I think that the vast majority of umpires, and
we have Max Scherzer, I think was one of the
the people that was really a big component of this
as Jordan umpires getting beast Jordian pitchers.

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Right, yeah, right, we only got it, dude.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
We're only tapping the helmets a few times for the
very best of the best. And honestly, I think it's
a good thing for all because this extra level of
attention to the balls and the strikes is going to
weed out some of the lesser umpires the same way
that great pitching are the same way that the pitching

(45:28):
mound being raised weeded out pitchers who couldn't throw it
the same velocity, and our hitters that couldn't hit that well,
you know, umpires who can't call it, ye're out, no
pun intended.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
You know.

Speaker 5 (45:40):
I have mixed feelings about ABS and I was for it.
I don't want it to go completely away from having
a human umpire.

Speaker 4 (45:50):
I don't want it to all be robots. I don't.
I think both are needed as part of it. I
like it.

Speaker 5 (45:56):
I was more into the idea and now seeing it
in action something it's bad.

Speaker 4 (46:00):
You're right, it is good.

Speaker 5 (46:02):
But those calls you see that are overturned because a
point zero one fraction of the ball has touched the
tiny little corner where it's like that was more of
a ball than a strike. You got lucky that you
challenged and the point zero one of the ball.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
Skin that corner of the strike zone.

Speaker 5 (46:25):
And I know those are far and few between, but
seeing that one gives me has given me mixed feelings
on the situation.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
See, I think what they need to do graphically and
not show me that? Well, show you show, like now
what they do right, So just envision it right, strike Hey.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
Op, that's a ball. What are you talking about? I'm
taping my head. You can't see anything, you idiot.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
And then they go to brought to you by T Mobile, right,
So then when they zoom in they have the big
gray box. It's very similar to the same gray box
that they have with the uh just a regular red bat.
What they need to do with the ABS is have
like a translucent baseball around that because right, because the
strike zone, it all has to do, is all it

(47:08):
has to do is clip that clip that corner. Right,
So I believe what it does because visually it looks like, well, that's.

Speaker 3 (47:16):
That's that's that's that's barely a strike. That's that's this
is this is patty, what are we doing here?

Speaker 2 (47:21):
So I think it needs the border around it.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
To show.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
Not make it like in the border should just be
the distance of the baseball, right and so like that
should be the frame that I think it'll make it
look a little better. But ultimately I and I do
see your point in that. Like you could see a
guy like Suarez au Henny O Suarez elite first name.

(47:49):
I love it, but uh, you saw him tap his
head twice and back to back pitches right, and I
don't want to see that every single time. And I
do like the fact that when you are able to
win a challenge, you get.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
To keep a challenge.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
It should be right because simply because you had a
bad eye does not mean like I because now I
can't even challenge it anymore, like you be able to continue.
But I do think that if there was like there's
no way to do it and you just have to
be like just players are to self police, and I
think ultimately they would because you can't lose the challenges, right, Yeah,
but like I would not like to see like four

(48:29):
in a row of this is okay, we're all right,
especially like we're not missing the plate by much here, pal.

Speaker 5 (48:35):
Like if at all, if at all, And I like
what you're saying about. Maybe the graphic changes and maybe
I won't feel as like, eh, mixed feelings about it,
But I will say with this, I'm more impressed at
the eye of these batters, like the ones that are
able to overturn a call by the fraction that just
skinned the edge of the strike zone or not, however

(48:57):
we went. I'm impressed by the the that have this
this eye because it's so close that.

Speaker 4 (49:04):
It's like, man, how how difficult can it be?

Speaker 1 (49:08):
Right?

Speaker 5 (49:08):
Like, I want to give more credit to the battery
and at the same time, I want to give more
credit to the umpires all this time for being so
on it, like they're so close like these this is
some hard pitches to call.

Speaker 4 (49:19):
Martin.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
You know what I find to be fascinating about it
is that you have like, uh, the Reds got five
ABS calls go in their favor, right, whether it was
a ball, turns with strikes, struck the ball all positive
towards the Reds.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
There was no correlation in the score, right.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
Right, So it's very like and I don't so I
don't think like you that's great. As we sit here
and watch an ABS challenge, Ben Rice initiates that he
thought it was going to be a ball.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
It's own too.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
It may not have impact on the score. Is just
a four to two game. It's a strike, Ben Rice,
have a seat, pal, right, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
But it what makes it crazy.

Speaker 4 (50:01):
That was a terrible challenge.

Speaker 5 (50:02):
That terrible You do not have the eye that I'm
talking about with some of these bodies.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
The Yankees are out of challenge. So I think that
there is a level of Okay, do it. If you're
gonna do what, you better be right. Yes, No, you're gonna.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
Do what you better be right.

Speaker 4 (50:14):
That was a terrible call.

Speaker 3 (50:15):
Horrible, horrible.

Speaker 5 (50:17):
What were you thinking? The ball was all in the
strike zone, not the fraction that you and I have
been discussing here.

Speaker 3 (50:22):
And then you get into the other like that was
he was. I thought that was a third strike. It wasn't.

Speaker 2 (50:28):
That was a three to one county that he used
a challenge. I feel like they're gonna be And that's
what makes it so interesting because now there's so many
different aspects of strategy involved and when do I use this?

Speaker 3 (50:42):
Who do I trust to use it?

Speaker 2 (50:45):
Because it's and that's why I love the fact because
it would have been the freaking worst thing ever ever
if they had been.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
Only initiated by the umpires.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
Yes, because now in basketball, all you do is show
you somebody shoots the ball.

Speaker 4 (51:02):
Yoh, it's so stright.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
My finger around my head like our hell, I got this,
that's all it is. It's like I'm just I'm just
trying to last o a horse, right, It's all I
got is last So on a raft, come in here,
raft make the call.

Speaker 5 (51:13):
Honestly, you should get a technical if you do that
and you're not on the on the side, or if
you're not on one.

Speaker 4 (51:18):
Of the colas like Luca, you can't do that every
five seconds.

Speaker 3 (51:21):
I stand with you, month, Yeah, I'm here for that.

Speaker 5 (51:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
And so could you imagine could you imagine.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
If every every single batter is going back to the
dugout being like, man, hey, are you wearing classes manager?
Instead of yelling at the manager, yelling at the sell
you at the beyond at the manager.

Speaker 3 (51:37):
No, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
I don't want to see that. I don't want to
see that. I like the fact that it's pitcher catcher batter.
The three people involved in the pitch are the three
people who can rule.

Speaker 5 (51:47):
On the pitch absolutely, And you're right, I think we're
going to start seeing more and more strategy because if
I'm Aaron Boone, I'm keeping an eye on Ben Rice.
Next time you call a challenge, if it's that bad,
I'm basically going to tell you you are not allowed
to use a challenge. You you can't like if you
I would, managers have to start keeping track.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
Of the same way, the same way that you would
not have certain hitters swing for the fence exactly in
certain moments right the same way, and certain that counts
in the at bat. You're you're choking up because you
need to make contact, or you're you're trying to pull
the ball, you're waiting for your pitch because you got
to hit it to right field.

Speaker 3 (52:22):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (52:23):
And how many pro baseball players, like the true real
guys that they talk about, professional hitters can hit the
ball kind of where they want to hit it and
in the bat right well, the true professional ABSs are
going to be able to see, Hey, that raptor is
missing calls back there. I'm gonna go ahead and walk
the first base on five pitches because you can't.

Speaker 4 (52:43):
See yep, yep. It's gonna be interesting.

Speaker 5 (52:46):
And also we mentioned Buckner, but Mark Wegner was the
umpire who lost the count earlier this week.

Speaker 4 (52:53):
Did you did you see that?

Speaker 3 (52:54):
That's a tough one.

Speaker 5 (52:55):
He just forgot the count and a guy that should
have been called on strikes got to walk talk on
a nine pitch plate appearance because you forgot the count.

Speaker 4 (53:04):
My guy, baseball season.

Speaker 5 (53:06):
Just started, abs is here, and you forgot the count.
I am rooting for not all robots, and Mark Wagner,
you're not helping me here.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
I don't think though, that robots are eventually going to
be in play.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
I do think that we will still.

Speaker 5 (53:22):
Have Wally is going to be standing behind these catchers
any minute now, Martin.

Speaker 3 (53:29):
I would hope that the unions are stronger than that.

Speaker 4 (53:33):
Bea there before you know it.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
But think about it, think about all the other sports
that we have replaying, and I get it's.

Speaker 3 (53:39):
Like it's one thing. And actually, you know what, I
wonder how I wonder if the technology.

Speaker 2 (53:47):
Can move fast enough to actually call balls and strikes
in the.

Speaker 4 (53:51):
Moment, in the moment right pretty close, right but now.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
But but it's only on initiation of a challenge, right,
so then maybe do you just dial up the pitch
like you know, say, the the TV producer of me
is very fascinating to know how all that works, because
it's just, you know, it's it's it's.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
Very much a television property.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
It is, speaking of television property, is the biggest one
in college basketball about to take place? The second half
of it is Yaxel Lendenburg slaps hands with his teammates
and does all their cool handshakes preparing to take on
Arizona Michigan the Wolverines. Monci all right, your final prediction. Okay,

(54:29):
it's Michigan, it's Arizona. Michigan's a one and a half
point favorite. Dusty Night was watching the prey game Tommy
Lloyd on the phone with Michael Jordan.

Speaker 3 (54:39):
Maybe maybe not, depending on who you ask.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
Definitely on the phone with Steve Kerr at Arizona now
that he did not take the North Carolina job.

Speaker 3 (54:48):
So two teams, your.

Speaker 5 (54:50):
Pick, Arizona wins, seventy nine to seventy five.

Speaker 3 (54:55):
Seventy nine to seventy five, Arizona.

Speaker 4 (54:57):
Wins, Arizona wins. Are you nervous? How do you feel?

Speaker 2 (55:00):
This is the most nervous I have been for Michigan
basketball since this season has started.

Speaker 3 (55:06):
And I was like in November, I was like a
hold on a dog.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
On a second, what do you mean they're Beatnody.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
By forty again? Again? But no, Ultimately.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
The nerves that I have, it would be different if
if Arizona was a super like I think, where Arizona
is good, Michigan is also good, you know what I'm saying?
So like, those are the things that I expect that
being said. I say Michigan eighty two, Arizona seventy one.

Speaker 5 (55:41):
Wow, by double digits, by double digits. He's rooting for
those Wolverine barely, barely, barely.

Speaker 2 (55:50):
All right, Monce, we talked about it earlier. We'll get
back into it. The injury bug has struck Los Angeles.
Is it over? Because it feels like that Drake song,
it's over. That's hilarious, all right, Martin Wise monseis Fox
Sports Radio, just going through a little big ten football history,

(56:13):
recent history, monsy as what happened to mortal Michigan quarterback
Davis Warren who threw for sixty two yards and two
interceptions and a win against Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
He got a job like you and me after he
graduated from college. That's what he did.

Speaker 4 (56:30):
So good, right, so much during our break.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
I'm happy. I'm happy to be here.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
Seven to one the score in Michigan in the lead
of Yachtsvillelendenberg with two fouls.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
It is.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
He's on the bench right now, so we'll see how
you want see how that plays out.

Speaker 3 (56:46):
That's it. Thought that was gonna be a walk. I'll
take it.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
Speaking about take it you like that monse Kirk Cousins,
you like that. The new quarterback in Vegas, Fernando Mendoza,
the number one overall pick, had his pro day and
oh my god, MONCEI, did you hear that he called
out the route for his receivers before he said, Oh,
Mark Cooper fifteen yard dig go. I mean, people just

(57:11):
lost their minds about it.

Speaker 5 (57:13):
I mean, I don't think he can do anything without
it being talked about.

Speaker 4 (57:17):
And he's that guy right now, Yeah you can right now?

Speaker 2 (57:21):
If yeah, he could be arrested in the police. What
are the police officers?

Speaker 8 (57:26):
Right?

Speaker 4 (57:26):
What did you guys do to him?

Speaker 3 (57:28):
Right? Exactly?

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Yeah, he is studying, allegedly the Raiders playbook ahead of
time with Brian Greasy. I think he said with Brian Greesey,
one of the Greasies. And this, to me, Monzi is
a move where you when you make this move, it
shows I've been told by a few different football decision

(57:50):
makers at different points in time you want your backups
to look like your starters. Obviously your starters are going
to be the better player. But it makes a ton
of sense for whoever wins the quarterback battle in Atlanta, for.

Speaker 3 (58:04):
Example, for both of them to be left handed right.

Speaker 2 (58:08):
It's tough to have a right handed a right right
starter and a lefty backup because it flips everything right
you want. So for the comp for Fernando Mendoza has
been Kirk Cousins, right. Kirk Cousins is a guy who
legend at the bank ultimately, and I think if you
have him as a backup quarterback immediately becomes anywhere from

(58:31):
like this fifth to third to sixth best backup quarterback
in the NFL. And I do think he'll probably start
Week one, but we know that this is auditioned for
Cousins for potentially job next, and we know that Fernando Mendoza, eventually,
once he learns all the lines, will be taking over
the lead role.

Speaker 4 (58:52):
I like this move. I think it's a really good
move for Fernando Mendoza. You like that, I do like that.
I think this is a good move for Fernando Mendoza.

Speaker 5 (59:01):
I feel like you want to put somebody that Fernando
Mendoza can relate to in order to want to learn,
not maybe it's not even learning how to play the
position of the quarterback, learning all the other aspects of
what he's gonna get himself into coming into the NFL.

Speaker 4 (59:16):
And I feel like for for for Fernanda Mendoza.

Speaker 5 (59:20):
He probably it wouldn't It would have shocked me if
for Nanda Mendoza said, I want him, I want to
follow him. I want to learn from him. Sure you
know what I'm saying. I feel like it's a it's
a guy that maybe he likes, he's gonna want to
learn from and Kirk Cousins say what you want.

Speaker 4 (59:32):
But obviously he is well liked. He keeps getting paid
by all these teams. We know what he brings to
the table. There's no question about it. He's gonna win
you some games, and he's gonna lose you some games
in in a bat in fun fashion. I say fun
fashion because we get to talk about it. For him,
probably not fun, not as fun.

Speaker 5 (59:51):
But he'll say he's gonna lose some games in fun
fashion for the media to talk about. He's gonna win
you some games. But he has to be well liked
in order for the in order because he keeps getting
contracts everywhere and gets getting keeps getting money everywhere.

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
It's I think it's a function of that.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
It's also a function of there's a lot of supply
and demand issues.

Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Here far.

Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
The what is it the aptitude for attitude for buying
far outpaces of the inventory when you're looking at a
guy like Kirk Cousins and you don't. Again, but we
were talking about this, and we'll actually get to it
at forty five. After nine forty five, we'll do a
little game, see if you which starting quarterback you'd like
more over one guy who's been in the news recently.

(01:00:34):
But when you're looking at it, it's like, I wouldn't
want Kirk Cousins to be my starter in twenty twenty six.
But if Kirk Cousins does my backup, that is something
I can like just on his face. That's something I
really like the fact that I get my quarterback room
for Like, I don't know the ten million dollars is
gonna cost for Fernando Mendoza plus Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
That offsets a bit.

Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
Of me saying Tyler, Linda Bauma, we're gonna make you
the highest paid center by a large margin, right, because
I'm not paying my quarterback, and by the time it
comes down to pay the quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
I'll probably have to get a new center. Right.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
But like, but realistically, ArmNews renegotiating linder Baum's deal. Center's
a tough spot to play it, just as Frank rag now, right.
So when you're looking at this, it feels like a
move in which the Raiders, to me, this offseason have
really shown that they're ready to try to really turn
the corner. And I know, trading my my Max Crosby

(01:01:28):
I disagreed with, so I liked getting him back.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
But even when I saw the deal that they got,
you were like, okay.

Speaker 7 (01:01:34):
I was like, well, I mean, listen, sure, yeah, I
liked her too, but.

Speaker 4 (01:01:41):
Yeah, no, yeah, I like this.

Speaker 5 (01:01:44):
And I do wonder though, like Kirk Cousins, like you said,
if you have Kirk Cousins as your backup. We know
Kirk wants to play, He's trying to be a starter somewhere,
But what if what if he comes to Las Vegas
and he and you convinced him to stick around as
a backup like that, That's a real possibility.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
Sure, because Kirk.

Speaker 5 (01:02:02):
Cousins is not young, he's made all the money, but
I know he wants to play. I know he's trying
to be a starter somewhere, and because of the supplying demand,
he could get.

Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
A job as a starter somewhere if he has a
good season. But what if things just go really well
and he's like, you know what I do I want?
I like Vegas.

Speaker 7 (01:02:17):
They have him under contract. It's technically a five year deal.

Speaker 4 (01:02:20):
Technically right, he with a opt out.

Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
It is the only it is not a there's there's
no paper.

Speaker 7 (01:02:27):
It's a five year deal.

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
It is on paper a five year deal.

Speaker 4 (01:02:29):
And it's a one year deal.

Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
In the tweets of Vienna Rapp reports a five.

Speaker 4 (01:02:33):
Years right, but it's a one year deal guaranteed.

Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
This has a quicker side.

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
I'd like to commend Nick Wright for like actually correcting
these contracts when they come out, because all that matters
is the years and the guarantees, and he just operate
like I was really having a conversation with people. Travis
Chelsea three years, dude, Travis cous one year.

Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
Deale so one year deal right.

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Speaking of one, Arizona only had one point.

Speaker 7 (01:02:58):
Yes for a long time, this game really.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
Did Yoxvill Lundeberg had double amount of fouls that Arizona
had points at the under.

Speaker 3 (01:03:06):
Sixteenth time out.

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
I think they've added a little bit to that total,
but for now to add a little to this show.

Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
Let's get Steve Seger in here.

the Saturday schedule. Detroit has won the late contest at Philadelphia,

Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
He thanks Steve as Chrey McKinney dunks it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
I'll tell you what, of all the kids on this
Michigan team, number one coming off the bench might be
the best in the pros. Like when when this all
said and done, that kid shot as pure. He's six six',
five he's got good. Hands right, now he's just playing
on the team that has like a bunch of. Fringe
i'll tell you that that would win a lot of

(01:06:17):
games in Euro league right, now That michigan. Team they
have an eleven point leader In arizona right, now But
massie and so it was the big expos a came
out IN espn this. Week this is WHAT i put like.
This there was a tweet that came out a long time,

(01:06:37):
AGO i don't forget a couple of years to ten
plus years, ago and it was a woman tweeting something
about it was a picture Of STEPHEN. A smith and she,
said this Is Whindy williams for, sports, right like you,
know THE hp and all of, that and a lot
of people push back on.

Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
It and at the TIME i, WAS i don't know
IF i like. That that's tough.

Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
One but WHEN i see stories like, this, yeah, okay
maybe you're. Right because there were more sources In philadelphia
to talk About Jalen hurts and our herbs and spices
FOR kfc.

Speaker 5 (01:07:16):
Anonymous. Sources make sure you say that.

Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
One, well you, know the herbs and spice is also
anonymous secret.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Recipe, Right so you had twelve twelve anonymous sources In
philadelphia calling everything About Jalen, hursts but calling them everything
but a child Of.

Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
God basically, right our offense is.

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
STAGNANT i don't know about, you but WHEN i read this,
ARTICLE i laughed out loud in the first the first
five or so paragraphs of, it when they're talking about
the last last game of the, season and, well you
just run four.

Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
Verts oh, god please don't let us run four. Vorts please.
Don't oh my, god we're running four.

Speaker 5 (01:07:51):
Verts it also doesn't say If sirianni agreed or not.
Agreed they it's, like, okay So seriani just sat.

Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
There so my thing is it is evident and it is,
clear and it has been evident and clear to me
since last season When Aj brown was reading a book
on the sidelines and they said what he needed to
work on in a game in which they barely beat
the Terrible Carolina panthers at that, time and the next
year is that had reached the Caler panthers nothing much

(01:08:19):
better by the, way they did make the, playoffs but
eight and, nine but barely beat a Bad panthers team that,
year and he, said we need to work on the.
Passing and you know what happened after? That nothing nobody
Said aj needs to be. Cool i'm talking about no media.
Anything nobody From philly was, LIKE i don't like WHAT
Aj brown is saying about our. Team nobody backed up their.

(01:08:40):
Quarterback nobody backed up the. Team it was ALL aj
has his. Opinion we Love, aj we RESPECT. Aj nobody
SAYS Aj brown needs to shut the hell up because
we have a Super bowl caliber.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Quarterback and if you had.

Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
Said that about if If Kadarius tony has said that
About Patrick, mahomes, whoever you know What i'm, Saying, like
obviously canarious only at the same, level but you know
What i'm, saying if guys have said this About mahomes
Or Josh allen or even a level Of Justin, Herbert they're,
like shut, up what are you talking? About you need
to be. Better in, Fact Stefan, diggs you need to be.

(01:09:14):
Better Josh allen is not the issue.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Here you. Are and then he goes and goes Through
Super bowl with The. Patriots but, anyway my point, Being.

Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
Jalen hurts clearly does not have the support of everyone
in The philadelphia locker, room and it is shown evidently
basically almost every time a story comes out from The
philadelphia locker.

Speaker 5 (01:09:37):
ROOM i have such mixed feelings about this whole. Story
WHEN i first read, it my first question, Was, okay
who pushed this?

Speaker 3 (01:09:47):
Out?

Speaker 4 (01:09:48):
Why?

Speaker 5 (01:09:49):
Why why push this story? Out who doesn't make it look?
Good because it's obviously making one person look. Bad we
know who they're trying to make look, Bad Jalen. Hurts
but who is this trying to make look? Good where
is this coming? From it's.

Speaker 4 (01:10:05):
DIFFERENT i know you were using those.

Speaker 5 (01:10:07):
Examples it's difficult because they did, win, Right, Like you've
already won a Super bowl in recent.

Speaker 4 (01:10:12):
Years you've been to two Super. Bowls this, quarter this Super.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Bowl, pregame they HAD nfc AND ac legends walk out
of that weird little shed on the, side And Jalen
hurts was one of.

Speaker 4 (01:10:24):
Them. RIGHT i. DON'T i don't Think Jalen hurts is the.

Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
PROBLEM i have a hard time believing that he could
be the. Problem you've won with, Him you've been to
two Super bowls with, him and obviously your offense is.
Stagnant but we've Seen Jalen hurts make. Throws we've seen
him connect with Aj brown in big moments and With
DeVante smith in big.

Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
Moments i've seen him throw the.

Speaker 5 (01:10:51):
BALL i have been critical Of Jalen hurts and then
just As i'm saying he can't DO x Y, z
he goes and DOES x Y.

Speaker 4 (01:10:59):
Z does it happen every single? Time, no but he
has done.

Speaker 5 (01:11:02):
It and when you have a different offensive coordinator every
single year that you have been In, PHILADELPHIA i don't
know HOW i can put the blame on a quarterback
that you have one with that you've reached the big
game with.

Speaker 4 (01:11:16):
TWICE i Want Nick.

Speaker 5 (01:11:18):
Siriani If Jalen hurts is that much of a problem
and does not want to change the, offense why aren't
you stepping up and saying?

Speaker 4 (01:11:25):
Something are you not the head?

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
Coach so this is the thing THAT i both am
sympathetic To Jalen hurts in one aspect and both judge
mental and. Another you have to judge, him, Yes, well
the SYMPATHY i do have is there's a level of
like we talk about continuity in THE. Nfl, well If
I'm Jalen, HURTS i look, Around i'm the. Continuity that's What,

(01:11:49):
Yeah like you are offensive, Coordinator you'll be going from
here in twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
Months that's how this thing is always.

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
Going like it's just, like look if dad leaves her
a pack of, cigarettes and never comes. Back i'm not
gonna expect it only comes back once a. Month i'm
not gonna expect them to just pop right back in the, house,
right you know What i'm, Saying, Like Jalen hurts is
used to his offensive coordinator leaving him at the end
of the. Year the indictment of that Is Jalen hurts
is used to his offensive coordinator leaving him at the

(01:12:16):
end of the year because there's better jobs to go, get,
right do you know What i'm, Saying, like because there's better. Players,
well that's the. Thing that's the thing that gets me,
though if you are.

Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
A you, KNOW i.

Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
DON'T i can't think of a great example in the current,
League but a lot of offensive coordinators they. Want Ben,
johnson for, example wanted to get a head coaching, job
was turning down interviews right at certain points in. Time,
Right he turned out for two, seasons turned down, interviews
and finally took The bears job because it was the
one that he felt was the perfect. One but he

(01:12:51):
was turning down interviews in part because he was in
a great, situation, Right like you do not see guys
from like super really really good situations to go to bad.

Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
Ones do you feel What i'm.

Speaker 5 (01:13:08):
SAYING i hear what you're, saying BUT i actually Think
i've also seen the opposite where it's like most people
would not do What Ben johnson. Did they would not
want to bet on. Themselves Ben Ben johnson was betting on.
Himself for, granted like you, said he was in a
really good.

Speaker 4 (01:13:22):
Situation of course he. Was we all saw.

Speaker 5 (01:13:24):
That BUT i feel like most people would take the job,
immediately even even.

Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
If it's not that great of a.

Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
Situation because you're coming at meet with a lot of
money and you're giving me.

Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
A head coach. POSITION i feel like most people would
not do What Ben johnson.

Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
Did, Well, monci let's see what you do coming up,
next BECAUSE i know you said you had mixed feelings about.

Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
That we'll see how you.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Feel a little game either Or jalen hurts, addition or
BECAUSE i Think i'm be taken or a lot coming up?

Speaker 4 (01:13:54):
Next, Hello, hello.

Speaker 3 (01:13:58):
Is that an Ass flopit call as all the.

Speaker 4 (01:14:00):
Colors it looks like. It it looks like. It don't
get too excited, now don't get too. Excited, true there's
a lot of game.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
LEFT i will say this college basketball does not, Matter
flatley does not matter until there are fifteen minutes left
in the Second, absolutely no matter what happens before fifteen
minutes left in the second, HALF i don't care and
it doesn't, matter BUT.

Speaker 5 (01:14:21):
I will tell you in the first ten minutes it
has been an as Kicking it has in the first.

Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
One fourth of the game through a little under nine,
Minutes michigan with a twenty six to fourteen. Lead it's
been Really michigan's defense that it seems to be the
most stifling. Thing Y ox With lundberg and foul trouble
in the first half back out there, Though, yeah as
he goes to the room it gets.

Speaker 4 (01:14:41):
Fouled arizona looks. Uncomfortable with The.

nfl right, Now i'm gonna ask you each one whether
you would prefer them Or Jalen hurts as your quarterback
in a vacuum one. Season so not really taking age
into account unless you think that that will affect said
quarterback this. Season so here we, Go Jalen hurts Or Rock.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):

Speaker 3 (01:16:37):

By Liam, cohen say hit him in the.

HUH i feel like it's easier to build a winner
Around Jared. Golf i'm gonna go ahead and just Take Jared.

Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
Golf but that's.

Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
Another one that it's like you sure about. That that
winning percentage is really good For Jalen.

Speaker 7 (01:18:01):
YEAH i wonder if like the specific weapons play into. It,
yeah Like Ross brown over the. Middle Jalen hurts doesn't
love throwing over the, Middle so maybe you'd Prefer golf in.

Speaker 7 (01:18:13):
One how About Jalen hurts or C J. Stroud That's

Speaker 5 (01:18:35):
ME i agree with What martin is, saying but based
on last, year If i'm coming into this, Season i'll
Take Jalen hurts BECAUSE i think there's still growing paints
with C. J.

Speaker 4 (01:18:43):
Strout he's still. Young he's still. Young, yeah left a
bad taste in our, mouths but he's still, young.

Speaker 4 (01:18:56):
Love of The? Packers Jalen, hurts.

Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
Give Me Jalen hurts as. WELL i Think Jordan love
is a lot of unrealized. Potential Like Jordan love to
me feels like if you were to put An ai

Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
WHEN i look at a guy Like Oxen, windenburg obviously yeah,
him of, course But i'm NOT i would say it
adjusts my prediction. Slightly so instead of a twelve point,
win maybe if six point.

Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
Wink, Right so you don't think it's like the end is.

Speaker 2 (01:22:46):
Not this is not like If arkansas Lost darius a, right, yes, right,
yes that's something that it's, Like, okay this is a non, starter,
right this is this? Thing you, know he might as
well go ahead and pack it. Up as so right,
Now michigan opening the lead back up a little.

Speaker 3 (01:23:02):
Bit but.

Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
We're looking at what many people deemed to be the
national championship. Game prior to The National Championship, game as
we See michigan And arizona, play a lot of people
thought these were the two best. Teams when you add
In duke in that, mix the two were those were
whichever the two of those three you liked the best
to be the best two teams in college basketball this.

(01:23:26):
Year florida was kind of like a class right below
the defending champs at that point in.

Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
Time so when you're watching.

Speaker 2 (01:23:33):
This do you now see either one of these teams
just walking through A yukon team that won the first
game of.

Speaker 4 (01:23:41):
Today, YEAH i do think.

Speaker 5 (01:23:43):
This whoever wins this game is going to win the
national championship Against. YUKON i do think that there have
just been moments throughout again the end of the regular,
season even.

Speaker 4 (01:23:53):
Here Like yukon Beating. Duke is it That yukon won
or is it That duke? Lost?

Speaker 5 (01:24:00):
Right like how it's not That yukon has been dominant
in any, way shape or. Form and not to take,
away as you AND i discussed in the first, hour
not to take away at all from What yukon has
done because it is quite.

Speaker 4 (01:24:11):
Impressive BUT i.

Speaker 5 (01:24:13):
Would say these two teams have been, dominant have shown
it throughout the entire, season have shown it more importantly
in The Big, dance when, again.

Speaker 4 (01:24:25):
Did you Beat duke or did Did duke just?

Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
Fumble so when you consider that nineteen point second half, lead,
right let me say.

Speaker 3 (01:24:34):
It you saw our nineteen point lead at one?

Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Point, yeah, Right so the second half just completely outscored
last play of the, game you have two timeouts or
you have one time, out you have they call the
time out on what could have been the last play
of the, game then don't call it on the second
what ends up being the last play of the game
With Brandona mullet hitting the three if they turned it

(01:24:57):
over To Kyden.

Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
Boozer but you had them.

Speaker 2 (01:24:59):
Tracked there were several different times to call time, out
And John shire after that game, said we don't want
to drill things down to one, moment and he's. Right
if you stopped, well if you had stopped any of
those moments or in the second, half you probably would
have been.

Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
In a much better position to win. Totally but to,
me he's the head.

Speaker 2 (01:25:16):
Coach you gotta time. Out those are freshmen you can't.
Burn you have. To you cannot take that time out.

Speaker 5 (01:25:22):
Home, absolutely especially you could tell that he was, nervous
Like boozer to the Other. Boozer both of them just
try to get rid of the ball too. Fast you
could tell that they.

Speaker 4 (01:25:30):
Didn't want, it and it's, like why did you just
why didn't you just hold on to the.

Speaker 5 (01:25:32):
Ball the nerves were high and the coach should have
should have known that in that.

Speaker 2 (01:25:36):
Moment so, yeah so that's How i'm with you, there
that's ALL i tend to agree with. THAT i think
that The duke team was really, good AND i think
we just need upperclassmen to win in today's era of college.

Speaker 3 (01:25:48):
Basketball you just need to have AND i think your
better players.

Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
Need to be upper Class you got three freshmen on
the floor in the back court in that moment in,
time and they're getting trapped by Freaking Alex, caravan who most.

Speaker 3 (01:26:01):
Of the people who are in college as long as, him, right.

Speaker 2 (01:26:08):
Most of the times that you're called a doctor or a,
lawyer he's just a three.

Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
Time national champion or two time national. Champion and you.

Speaker 5 (01:26:14):
Said, earlier it's like there's it's hard to kind of
replicate this even in other, sports even in THE. Nba,
remember like you're sand there's no, winner go. Home so
it's like you can't practice this. Feeling you can't practice
the Moment caravan or.

Speaker 12 (01:26:28):
Whatever how how four years you said is fourth, year
like he's been, there done, that and then some like
the nerves probably aren't getting to him like they are
with those, freshmen with those sophomore who've never been in this.

Speaker 3 (01:26:42):
Position absolutely right, now ten point margin For.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
Michigan, uh and this is going to be actually a
big game For at this, Point Jaxon wonderburgh can't, play
and he did go back to the locker. Room, now
maybe that's an attempt to get some advanced treatment on
it before halftime, starts you, know because college halftime only
with ten to fifteen minutes, Long so get it some
advanced treatment before it. Starts but to get a a

(01:27:05):
ten point margin right. Now but this is gonna be
big For trey, McKinney freshman From michigan coming off the
bench for this, team if he's able to kind of
stem the tight he And Riddy, gale who just hit
a three From, michigan if those two players can kind
of aggregate up The lendeberg. OUTPUT i Still michigan is
still in great. Shape let's talk about the women's side

(01:27:27):
of things real. Quick we got about eight more minutes
left in this, segment and we Saw gino Ari emma
And Dawn staley have a little tech at half, court
and we talked about it in the sports court a.
Bit BUT i did want to get the Opinion. Gino
that's what Called Smith Gino, arima and in my, opinion

(01:27:49):
in this moment is showing What AND i get it's
hard to lose with class when you win all the, time.

Speaker 4 (01:27:56):
And, yeah you're not used to.

Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
It you're not used to.

Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
It, yeah but he is showing to me that he
feels like he's had a stranglehold on this college basketball
thing FOR i don't, know thirty three of my thirty
six years of. LIFE i think he's showing that era is. Over,
yeah it's.

Speaker 3 (01:28:16):
Over it's, been it hasn't.

Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
Been when's the last time you because the recruiting classes haven't.
Stopped Page, becker's you, Know rookie of The year in
THE NBW nba last, year you, know one of the
best players like that as you fuck right now they
are girls who can hoop, today, Right and but you
see if you look at the South South carolina has
built and then it's now showing to me like WHEN i.

Speaker 3 (01:28:37):
See, THAT i don't see like Is Owen.

Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
Hurley when they were going into the sweet sixteen game or,
yeah sweet sixtreen, games they were, like we're gonna be fierce.
Competitors we're gonna, argue we're gonna, yell we're gonna stormp
we're gonna, scream we're gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
Cry with all.

Speaker 2 (01:28:56):
This but we're at the end of we're the same group,
text like we are friends outside of what's. Doing we
are competing like, hell and then when's Triple, zeros we're
gonna shake hands In, hog there's no Shake Hansen.

Speaker 3 (01:29:08):
Hog here's no love lost.

Speaker 2 (01:29:09):
Here AND i think it's very much a guy used
to being a top of the perch looking up and,
saying wait a, minute when did you get up?

Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
There?

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
Right and she's, been she's, been you, know climbing up.
There this didn't come out of.

Speaker 5 (01:29:21):
Nowhere South carolina has been, Here and like you, said
he's just not used to, it and he he did
not look. Good he didn't look good after. It BUT
i JUST i don't blame. HIM i think it's like
one of those. Situations it's like something is hitting him
in the face for the first. Time he's not used to,
it and sometimes you have those moments and you don't
handle it. Well but on the other side of, Things

(01:29:43):
martin his asy fud azy fudd, Right sarah strong.

Speaker 4 (01:29:49):
Right, yeah they did not play.

Speaker 5 (01:29:51):
Well AND i, WONDERED i don't by him doing all of.
This the media was talking about him instead of talking
about their bad.

Speaker 4 (01:30:03):
Performances SO i saw How Like i'm just, saying.

Speaker 5 (01:30:07):
Like IT'S i don't know if he did it on, purpose,
right if he thought of this ahead of, time but
what he definitely did do was kind of change the
conversation of what his girls did on the court because
it was not, pretty it was not.

Speaker 2 (01:30:22):
GOOD i Saw Holly rowe intimate, that and she obviously
Knows gino ari em and has covered him for you,
know wild, Right So i'm Not i'm not blowing past, that,
Right i'm the only making. Him i'm throwing it. Away
And i'm not gonna be with these. People if you
have trust are, REPORTING i do trusted. Reporting i'm not.
THERE i read it to her job to tell me what.

(01:30:43):
Happened if that's the, case that's freaking. Lame, sincerely that
is so. Lame that's so lame because you know, what
because like, sincerely like at least fun she's been there
for three or four years, now like as far as
college sports, go you're an, adult Like And i'm not saying,

(01:31:04):
that And i'm not saying that she didn't own the, performance.

Speaker 5 (01:31:08):
But she wasn't the story of, conversation only a few
people said why are people discussing her as a number
one pick where it's, LIKE i, mean that's a fair.

Speaker 4 (01:31:16):
Question but to, me.

Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
If what you need to do to take the smoke
off of your players back is obsensibly looks, disrespect, Right
AND i get that respect can be a funny, thing but,
LIKE i think there's a level of just, coworker not,
coworker but colleague coaching fraternity respect. Level, right we both

(01:31:41):
are the head coach, here we're gonna shake hands and Part,
LIKE i think that is super lame if it's, like,
OH i want to cover for my player who might
be the.

Speaker 3 (01:31:50):
Second pick in THE wa Who that's WHY i.

Speaker 5 (01:31:53):
MEAN i don't think it's, Lame but it's, like just
because you Mentioned hurley And izzo and how they're in
the same group text and after you know the game is,
over they're gonna shake hands and maybe have a beer
three days.

Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
Later that doesn't mean other coaches have to get. Along
they don't have to be.

Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
Friends And i'm not there's a there is A Grand
canyon sized golf between being friends and.

Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
Disrespecting like like to.

Speaker 2 (01:32:16):
Me, LIKE i don't have a problem WITH i like
people who don't like each other as. POOL i like,
that you know What i'm. SAYING i, SAID i like,
that but you could be, respectful, like you know, what
he's a.

Speaker 4 (01:32:26):
Sort he was a sore.

Speaker 5 (01:32:27):
Loser like the disrespect IS i feel like that's that's
that's a big word to say in that.

Speaker 4 (01:32:34):
Moment he was just a sore.

Speaker 5 (01:32:35):
Loser AND i also he looked like an, idiot like
we don't you know WHAT i, Mean like he did
it to. Himself there's nothing even even his apology wasn't
accepted by many.

Speaker 3 (01:32:43):
People, yeah it was kind of.

Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
Whack AND i mean there is one of those like
there is some level of when you do, apologize it's never.

Speaker 3 (01:32:52):
Enough it's never. Enough but ultimately you could have.

Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
Said Donal staley's name in the THING i, SAID i
apologize to Coach.

Speaker 4 (01:33:03):
Daley and HOW i handled the, situation because.

Speaker 2 (01:33:06):
That's The you could apologize to a whole lot of other,
people but there was like one person you truly aggrieved
and it was the right. COACH i, Mean i'll just
put it like, That, Okay, manzi we have had a
not quite first year phenom in the. League BUT i say, this,
well around this time of THE nba, season you can't

(01:33:27):
take a lot from a lot of, games but you
could take a little from, some and today was a
day in which you could take a little bit more
from one of the results we saw today and what
that will mean going forward for the. Postseason we'll dive
into that Next right, now it's a sixteen point margin
for The Michigan wolverines with about two minutes left in
the first half the second game of The final. Four

(01:33:48):
Martin Weis Monte Bolano's Fox Sports. Radio we had The
alien versus The joker today and it wasn't a summer.
Blockbuster it's just out of me, wise Monse bilanos coming
to you live from The Fox Sports radio. Studios you
can follow us On twitter and tweet the.

Speaker 3 (01:34:05):
Show i'm At.

Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
Martin Weiss monsi's at monzis who they Have Larry sotan
has eight, followers but.

Speaker 3 (01:34:14):
Letting his opinion be known.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
Sex for.

Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
Him there you, go.

Speaker 2 (01:34:21):
Big, fan all, Right, So, Manzi today we saw The
Denver nuggets snap the Sen Antonios purars eleven game win,
streak one thirty six to one thirty four of the
final score In kolaiokis had thirty. Four i'm, sorry Forty
wemby had thirty, four but watching this, game it won

(01:34:46):
one hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:34:46):
Percent to, me had like when you get to this
point in THE nba, season.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
It is very much like the end of high, school,
right like the last month of high. School you got
some kids who are coasting because they, know worst case,
Scenario i've already been accepted To Big STATE u AND
i have a three point eight. CUMULATIVE i could NOT

(01:35:14):
i could write left handed on all these, tests AND
i still graduated three to. Five can't do anything. Wrong
you got some kids who, know no matter what, HAPPENS i,
COULD i, COULD i could cheat and get a one
hundred every. Test i'm still failing out of this, thing,
Right there's no Chance i'll be a summer school to
get my ged. Right The spurs and The nuggets are

(01:35:36):
two of the first the former we have been, like
we are beating eleven hell out of the bad, teams
gonna compete against the good, teams but and a top
of The Western conference standings for primarily most of the, season,
right you, know the top half of the State Western.
Conference this to me had a very very much feeling

(01:36:00):
Of denver going To San antonio and, saying, listen, okay that's,
cool you're the new, edition Understood Victor, winbyamo they now
making too many of.

Speaker 3 (01:36:11):
You this is straight straight off the factory. Line very.

Speaker 2 (01:36:16):
Impressive, however we have been here for a while and
we've been doing this for a.

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
While we pushed the.

Speaker 2 (01:36:23):
Defending champions to seven games last, year and you think
you're coming into my house and taking this. One and
it would look a close, game but the physical nature
of the game and the way they were Pushing victor
Winb miyama, down around and, OUT i felt like it
was a concerted effort to show From denver side of,

(01:36:46):
things we are not afraid of, you just because you
are seven feet six is as tall and you look
like you're everybody's older.

Speaker 4 (01:36:51):
Brother, yeah if you have not been Watching, denver this
is what they.

Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
Do they.

Speaker 4 (01:36:56):
Play they slowed down the game.

Speaker 5 (01:36:59):
And they make you have to play. Physical AND i
loved watching these two Because jokic looks like he doesn't
want to be, there, Right he's just like going through the,
motions and it's awesome to watch. That it looks like
he doesn't want to be, there like he's barely, trying
and it looks so. Effortless and then you Have victor Winn,
banyama who is obviously trying.

Speaker 4 (01:37:19):
And wants to do it.

Speaker 5 (01:37:20):
Well he had that nice saliyup at the end over,
there and he almost made that shot That Aaron gordon was.
Defending as time, Expired spurs lost the. Ball was It
Stefan castle Or Darren fox who fouled the guy shooting the?

Speaker 4 (01:37:33):
Three he made. It it became a four point.

Speaker 5 (01:37:35):
Play that foul is the reason why The spurs did
not win and they went to.

Speaker 4 (01:37:41):
Overtime spurs had the.

Speaker 5 (01:37:42):
Win all they had to do was just play smart
basketball in the final forty five seconds and they did.
It that fel was it was unnecessary that four point
play By Cam. JOHNSON i believe it was hitting the.
Three that's what changed everything right then and. There but
like you, said this Is. Denver denver pushing Okay see

(01:38:03):
to a seven game series last. Year they also went
to seven games with The clippers last year when The
clippers were looking pretty.

Speaker 4 (01:38:08):
Good it didn't. Matter Aaron gordon is an.

Speaker 5 (01:38:12):
Enforcer they've Got Jamal murray who did not have a good.
Game and at the same, time Though, MARTIN i Know
Jamal murray will hit a game winner if he's missed
the last fifteen.

Speaker 4 (01:38:24):
Shots that's what's crazy About Jamal.

Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
Murray he's a type of player and it's been defined
in the past for me For, clutches the guy who
can reach his same level at any, moment any, moment
and that is What Jamal murray is to. Me like
he's a guy that like he doesn't necessarily like he'll
have great regular season, games but when his number is
called in big, moments he almost always shows up.

Speaker 5 (01:38:48):
Always and the same thing With Aaron gordon when you
look at it on the defensive side of the, Situation
Aaron gordon can live up to the, moment and then
of course you Have Nikola jokic and it's just.

Speaker 4 (01:38:58):
Even even with this, though looking.

Speaker 5 (01:39:00):
At The Denver, NUGGETS i feel like The Denver, NUGGETS
i don't know if because they slow down the pace
against everyone that they play and they go those they're
not winning the series in four games like they maybe
would have done, three four or five years. Ago right,
now these series are taking, longer and that's WHERE i
don't know if that will survive For denver in the

(01:39:22):
long scheme when it comes to the, Playoffs like you're
gonna be. Tired if every series you play you're pushing
at seven.

Speaker 3 (01:39:27):
Games, well And.

Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
I'll say, This Victor Winiman, yama this is that Was
that's how it's gonna, be, Right that's how it's gonna
be Like and, he to his, credit didn't necessarily look
like he was running from anything or scared of.

Speaker 3 (01:39:43):
Anything but you're gonna your skinny ass gonna be on the.

Speaker 4 (01:39:47):
Ground, yeah you, Know absolu're.

Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
Gonna they're going to knock you, Over they're gonna punish,
you they're gonna be, physical you're gonna Have and there's
certain times TODAY i THOUGHT i find it fascinating they
Weren't Good garden Using jokics to guard. Them They're Aaron
gordon to guard because you know, What, hey you're six,
seven you're gonna somebody seven. Six you're gonna, score, right
so might as well put somebody six to seven on, you,
right because it doesn't quite. Matter and you, see, like

(01:40:11):
stop everybody, Else stop everybody else. Exactly and that's the
thing about The, spurs this. Team it would be different
for me if, like because we say you can't win
in the playoffs until you've won in the, playoffs, RIGHT
i know it's, Oxymoron but generally you'd like to see
the team win a postseason game or win a postseason

(01:40:32):
series rather before you try to pick them to go
win AN Nba, finals like a lot of people have
Picked San antonio to do thus. Far if The spurs
had a few more veterans that had had postseason, SUCCESS
i feel a lot better about their postseason championship, Chances
LIKE i will be like like picking, Them like if
they Had Alex caruso won the, ROSTER i might be

(01:40:55):
picking them to come out of The Western.

Speaker 3 (01:40:58):
Conference i'm. Not at the, moment it Was.

Speaker 5 (01:41:00):
Darren fox with that shooting fel that it became a
four point. Play it was, like, dude all you gotta
do is play smart basketball because even if he would
have made that, three you fouling. Him that changed everything
in that. Moment and it's, yeah it's it's. EXPERIENCE i
agree with, you they don't have it, yet but The.
SPURS i don't want to see The spurs in the.
POSTSEASON i don't WANT i don't want to see.

Speaker 4 (01:41:20):
It and also.

Speaker 5 (01:41:20):
Refreshing to See wemby who as you were, saying physical
getting knocked, down not necessarily asking for the foul at the.
End there there was that play Where nikola jokicch drove
into the basket and he was he was on the,
ground was waiting for the foul to be, called and
it's like they showed the.

Speaker 4 (01:41:38):
Plate the replay is, like nobody touched.

Speaker 5 (01:41:39):
You you can't be playing for the, Foul yo Kich
you're too good for.

Speaker 4 (01:41:43):
That you are too good for.

Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
That not a fan of people who do, that But
i'll tell you, This Wanti.

Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
Steve De seger made me the biggest fan of him earlier.

Speaker 2 (01:41:52):
Today why because as we were swapping over, seats he
was stepping into the update. DESK i was playing the
guitar and he recognized the song THAT i was. Playing
that's A i just easy to. Know that's like like
first steps.

Speaker 4 (01:42:06):
For a, baby that, was and it's like a sixty song.

Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
Too, yeah, yeah The house of The rising Song monci had.
Played it didn't break this second, ago BUT i was like,
LIKE i was like touch like single thug t hear ran.
Down my eye had to catch my breath BEFORE i
came back on the.

Speaker 11 (01:42:22):
Air once he said, THAT i, thought, OH i should
have just blurted it out LIKE i was unnamed that
tune or. SOMETHING i was following. ALONG i didn't realize
you wanted to guess, Here so.

Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
Because you know it means something to, me it is.
Good you.

Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
Know it's very much like if somebody's trying to Learn
spanish and they say a sentence in The spanish speaker
just responds to them As, spanish like it.

Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
Worked it, worked you, know it's kind of you, know it.
Worked going.

Speaker 11 (01:42:46):
On michigan Leading arizona at the break forty eight thirty
two Boy arizona is not looking good at this battle
of one seed thirty eight percent shooting from the.

Speaker 3 (01:42:56):
Floor double.

Speaker 11 (01:42:57):
Ditchit michigan lead even Though All American Axel London board
has played five minutes and has five points for The,
wolverines he has limped off with an ankle. Injury michigan
was out to a twenty six to ten lead against
An arizona squad that is coached By Tommy. Lloyd he
has a new five year contract to. Stay arizona's in
The final four for the first time in twenty five.

(01:43:19):
Years illinois was in The final four tonight for the
first time in over twenty. Years they've been eliminated By
yukon seventy one to sixty. Two connecticut Beats illinois, again
had beat him by double digits in Late november At
Madison Square, garden nearly by double digits in this, one
and in these two, matchups they held The aligini to

(01:43:39):
their two lowest scoring totals of the, season their two
lowest shooting percentages of the, season and two years ago
in a regional, Final yukon Beat illinois by twenty. Five
the women's title game Is, Sunday South carolina VERSUS. Ucla

and you've got to know all the, names and sometimes
very long, names and, he as a very young, announcer

moncey we talked about it twice. Today the injury bug
all over the, Place luca, Out Austin reeves, Out moncy
questionable with the Growing luckily he's able to play while.
Injured looks Like luca And Austin reeves will not Be
lakers have found their way into a pretty favorable spot

(01:50:34):
in the in The Western conference, standings Third, seedson you're,
LOOKING i mean best team Non San Antonio Oklahoma City, division,
right which is probably about the best you could get
to in terms of things in The. WEST i did
not have a very high opinion of this team in.
GENERAL i think what you get to a seven game, series,

(01:50:56):
NOW i think that you might as. Well just like
if there was ever a reason For Adam silver to
just cancel game four of a, series this is the.
Reason because if The lakers don't Have Austin reeves And
Luka doncic to, play Maybe lebron can will himself to.
One BUT i am thinking that this is A cinderella

(01:51:19):
like sweep where you just swept so, nice the floor
is sparkling.

Speaker 3 (01:51:23):
Clean.

Speaker 5 (01:51:24):
Yeah, YEAH i think The, lakers like you, said are
gonna have a favorable matchup for the first.

Speaker 4 (01:51:30):
Round BUT i don't.

Speaker 5 (01:51:32):
Believe in The lakers beyond that or having success in a.
SERIES i Know Luka doncic was like nominated For Defensive
player of The. MONTH i understand he had an amazing,
month AND i know The lakers have had a good,
run but they still to me are Are They're they're

(01:51:54):
better THAN i. Thought But i'm not scared of The.
Lakers i'm. Not If i'm in The western, REFERENCE i
am not scared of The. Lakers there's only a few
Teams i'm scared, of and they are not one of.
Them AND i do think they can get out of
the first round because of the position that they've put themselves,
In but out of the first, ROUND i.

Speaker 4 (01:52:10):
Don't i'm not scared of they.

Speaker 2 (01:52:12):
See, minnesota this is going to be A molly woppin
If Anthony edwards is.

Speaker 3 (01:52:17):
HEALTHY i think it's going to be A molly.

Speaker 4 (01:52:18):
Woppin By.

Speaker 2 (01:52:20):
Minnesota you're looking at ANOTHER i, Think like to, ME
i think you're looking at another four to one type of.

Speaker 5 (01:52:25):
SUIT i don't see that happening only Because Anthony edwards
TO i don't Trust Anthony.

Speaker 4 (01:52:31):
Edwards like that in the.

Speaker 5 (01:52:33):
Playoffs, No like it's, LIKE i Think Anthony edwards wants to, win,
Right but THEN i think if he, loses it's not
eating him alive, inside.

Speaker 4 (01:52:41):
AND i think you need that in the.

Speaker 2 (01:52:43):
PLAYOFFS i think the only player in THE nba right
now who that's true for Is victim Wimb Be.

Speaker 4 (01:52:49):
Young, NO i think there's.

Speaker 5 (01:52:50):
MORE i feel like there's players maybe not eating him,
alive but the.

Speaker 2 (01:52:54):
Only high level star that that is absolutely true FOR
i Think.

Speaker 5 (01:52:58):
LUCA i think If luca, loses it him alive, inside
LIKE i. DO i think If Kate cunningham, LOSES i
think it bothers him. INSIDE i think If Anthony edwards.

Speaker 4 (01:53:06):
Loses he's, like oh, man that. Sucks all, Right well what's?

Speaker 3 (01:53:09):
NEXT i don't. KNOW i don't think that's a little, Unfair.

Speaker 4 (01:53:12):
But just Saying i'm not saying that's a bad, thing you.

Speaker 5 (01:53:14):
Know What i'm saying like it's a bad, thing not
necessarily because you have to be able to move on
and move on to the next, thing to the next,
game and not you, know live in the. Past so
not saying it's a BUT i just think he is
not as bothered by losing as other players in THE.

Speaker 2 (01:53:28):
Nba Yoxel lindbergh back out there after that injured. Ankle
only played five minutes in the first, half scored five,
points picked up two quick. Fouls that's what kept him
on the bench for a lot of the first, half
and then he had that knee and ankle injury in
the first. Half but he's back out there in a defensive.

Speaker 3 (01:53:44):
Stance will keep you.

Speaker 2 (01:53:45):
Updated that's the second half Of michigan And arizona gets
started right, Now, Eric michigan with a fifteen point, lead
That arizona is six and oh when trailing at the
half coming up.

Speaker 3 (01:53:58):

Speaker 5 (01:54:00):
How Much arizona six and oer when trailing at the.

Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
Half, well when.

Speaker 2 (01:54:04):
You only lose two games of the whole, season almost
all of your almost every metric is going to.

Speaker 5 (01:54:09):
BE x Y z and oh, yeah and obviously you're
not Playing michigan on all those, games so, okay all, Right, YEAH.

Speaker 2 (01:54:15):
I couldn't tell, you LIKE i, Mean michigan only lost
three games four games on the. Year i'm sure every
game they were trailing at the, half, dail so you
know WHAT i, mean whether they're probably five and one or.

Speaker 3 (01:54:23):
Whatever but it's just it is a fun like six.

Speaker 7 (01:54:26):

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
