(00:25):
way tire buying should be. We got seven games about
to kick off around the NFL. One game already in
the book says the Buccaneers took care of the Seahawks
twenty one sixteen in Munich. Here are the games kicking
off right now. We got the big game Vikings at
the Bills, Lions at the Bears, Broncos at the Titans,
Jaguars at the Chiefs, Brown's at the Dolphins, Texans at
(00:48):
the Giants, Saints at the Steelers. By the way, fantasy
football fans out their teams not playing this week Bengals, Patriots, Jets,
and raven And so we have one game in the
book today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking care of the
team in the sitting at top the NFC West. They
held on in this game and it looks like Tom
(01:11):
Brady is finally sort of getting things together, despite the
report that came out this week that he and his
wife lost six hundred million dollars with a collapse of
a crypto account that they were part of. So whether
it's a divorce or financial losses, it does not shake
the focus of one Tom Brady. No, it certainly doesn't.
(01:33):
Um If anything, there are times this works two ways.
A lot had been said about how the off the
field circumstances were distracting Tom and all this stuff, and
a lot of people were opining that that's the reason
why the Buccaneers are struggling, and that Tom Brady is struggling.
And you know, the fact of the matter is a
lot of times when I was playing football and things
(01:56):
weren't going so great outside of football, I would use
it as a place of refuge a little bit, you know,
kind of your fortress of solitude. You sort of lock
the box, You get in there with your guys, and
you just have this single minded pursuit trying to win
football games, get prepared for the next opponent, and it
almost crystallizes your focus. And so what we're seeing, at
(02:19):
least in that concept is a guy who has probably
been through some of the worst off the field UH
circumstances of his life since he's joined the NFL um
starting to really get some help around him and starting
to help turn this season around for the Buccaneers. Well,
he leads the league and pass attempts and pass completions
today on I had to throw twenty nine times. The
(02:40):
reason Tampa Bay had a rue game today. A hundred
sixty one yards on the ground, forty four rushing attempts,
only twenty nine pass the antenps for Tom Brady. That
was the secret to their victory today over the Seattle Seahawks.
All Right, Rich the game of the morning obviously as
Minnesota Buffalo Josh Allen is in at quarterback for the Bills.
He's banged up, but this is a big game for
(03:01):
the Bills, coming up that loss last week to the Jets.
Really quick, we have a weird way to start a game.
I think, did I see this correctly? Did the Jacksonville
Jaguars just an attempt to onside kick on the opening
kickoff and recovered it? How about that? And against the
Chiefs you need points? The Jags elected and look, this
is Doug Peterson. Doug Peterson, big fourth down conversion guy,
(03:25):
big risk taker that has been a part of his
d n A as a head coach forever, even as
a coordinator when he was going against UH, or as
a coordinator when he was with Andy Reid. And so
this does not surprise, but it is a shocking way
to start a football game. Jack steal the first possession
even though they elected or or whatever, either they elected
(03:47):
to kick off or they they deferred, whatever the circumstance was,
they get the ball first, all right, by the way.
One team on the move early on are the Cleveland
Browns on the road against the Miami Dolphins. Brown's coming
at three and five, Dolphins sitting pretty at six and three,
but at Jacoby ber said has got his team on
the move right now after a thirty eight yard pass
(04:08):
play to People's jones, so they are now at the
fourteen yard line. But getting back to this Minnesota Buffalo game.
You know the Bills have a banged up Josh Allen.
He is playing today, uh and there are a big
favorite over a Minnesota Vikings team that starts today with
a four and a half game lead in the NFC North.
They have run away with that division, still big underdog
(04:31):
on the road. Four of their victories rich so far
this year have been secured with comebacks in the last
three minutes of the game. So they have found ways
to win games late. But still a lot of non
believers in this Vikings team. And it starts with Kirk Cousins.
Because Kirk Cousins has shown to shrink when the spotlights
the brightest over the course of his career. There's a
(04:52):
lot of quarterbacks like that. Andy Dalton comes to mind,
you know, guy who's been to the playoffs, Funny hasn't
won a playoff game, and so you have to be
clutch when the lights are on, and Kirk Cousins have
failed to be that guy. So I think, I think
the fact that they're in Minnesota and there isn't a
lot of natural attention given to that area of the
country there, Oh, yes, because it's a smaller market. All
(05:15):
those things that we know about Minnesota or you know,
I mean, if you look at baseball, the Brewers, like,
when Milwaukee is great, is everybody talking about Milwaukee. No,
But when the Yankees are great, everybody's talking about the Yankees.
Same thing in the NFL with Minnesota is great. There's
always the yeah butt crowd. Yeah but Kirk Cousins. Yeah,
but it's a first year head coach, Yeah but yeah,
but yeah but yeah, but this is a one lost
(05:37):
team and they're looking really good, both defensively and offensively.
All right, Another team on the move right now, the Bears.
They are home against the Lions, Bears coming at three
and six. Lions, of course, got the big win last
week against the Packers, snapped their losing straight. They are
two and six right now. Big thing about the Bears
is the emergence of Justin Fields. And on this opening drive,
(05:58):
how about this, he has three carries for already seven yards,
including a twenty eight yard run. He has not attempted
a pass yet. We have a pass interference call in
the end zone. I believe against Miami on the Cleveland
brand is going to give them a first and goal
at the one yard line. But it looks like the
Bears have finally figured out a formula to get the
best out of Justin Fields. Well in the formula's script
(06:21):
plays in the run game for him, zone read plan
QB powers uh, you know, get him on the edges
of the defense with planned rollout passes, bootlegs, stuff where
he can create and use that special and tangible quality,
which is his athleticism and his abilities as an open
field rusher. He is at this point in his career,
(06:44):
very young, probably doesn't have a full understanding of what
he's seeing defensively, So let's simplify things. Let's get back
to what makes him special. And they're getting back to that.
So you just saw it. Oh we got a touchdown
in this Browns game. Yeah, one yard touchdown pass right
there from Jacoby Brisset to Bryant And that's like that,
the Browns of the first team on the board opening
(07:04):
drive on the road against the Miami Dolphins. So I
guess the only thing I can say about this opening
drive for the Browns, besides the fact that they put
six on the board, is despite their record, this is
not a Browns team that has folded up their season. No, no,
definitely not. And let's face it in uh in a
a f C North where it's really I mean competitive
(07:27):
with the Bengals in the way they've played recently, and
with the Baltimore Ravens, I mean, and with DeShawn Watson
coming back here soon. If you can just sort of
stay in the hunt. I'm not saying. I'm not saying
that they have a chance of winning this division. Most
likely that won't be the case. But stay in the hunt.
And if Deshaun Watson comes back and he's anything like
he was when he UH when he exited this league
(07:51):
over a year and a half ago, now UH to
hold out for a new contract, and then all of
the suspension following the accusations for sexual abuse uses against women. UH,
this team could have a huge late season turnaround. They
just have to stay in the hunt. All right. I'm
watching this Broncos game right now. The Titans did nothing
(08:11):
on their opening drive. The Broncos got the ball and
I just looked at a pass play. The receiver went down.
I didn't see which receiver, Judy. It looks like, wow, okay,
so they there they were pin back on their one
yard line after a Coffin punt. It was a great
punt by the Titans, and then Russell Wilson went deep
(08:32):
and Judy just on his own went down to the ground.
Looked like his right leg buckled. And that is not
a good song. This Denver Broncos. The heels and we
didn't see if it was non contact or with contact,
but there was no I watched there was no contact.
He was sort of breaking on the ball. He put
his right leg down and it just sort of slid
on him. Yeah. There, there it is. We're seeing it
(08:54):
right there. Yeah, listen, Um, we are seeing a lot
of talk now about slit film turf and I'm not
even sure of the playing surface in that game, but uh,
a lot of NFL current NFL stars have spoken out
against this turf that really does. It's cheaper, Uh, it
(09:14):
lasts longer, so there's a profit margin to be had
by installing this type of of turf, but it doesn't
give as much. Uh. It sort of traps the cleats,
especially its skilled players who are coming in and out
of breaks, running routes or setting up you know, uh
cuts as open field rushers. And as a result, you're
seeing a lot of those non contact ankle and knee
(09:36):
injuries that have really wrecked careers over the course of
the past decade and a half. And finally, the players
are speaking up about it. All of them are coming
out and saying we just want natural surfaces. You see,
across the world, soccer is being played everywhere and inclement uh,
places in northern Europe, and they play on on grass fields.
(09:56):
You have billions and billions and billions of dollars. Uh.
You can spend money to keep grass healthy indoors or
or outside in the United States. All right, let's hear
that brown score. Brissette takes the snaff, he's gonna throw
for it, throws wide open. It's Harrison Bryant touchdown. Browns
Brown's Radio network. So the Browns have an early seven
(10:17):
nothing lead on the road against Miami. Meanwhile, the Bears
got a field goal. They have a three nothing lead
over the Lions. I'm just watching this game between the
Vikings and the Bills. Justin Jefferson just caught a forty
six yard passed. Everyone talks about one of the great
trades for two teams in history. When the Vikings traded
(10:38):
Stefon Diggs to the Bills, they picked up a first
round pick that became Justin Jefferson. Yeah. So Diggs obviously
has had a huge impact on the Bill's offense and
Josh Allen conversely, of course, they got in return a
draft pick that they parlayed into Justin Jefferson, who is
arguably right now the best receiver in the NFL. Don't
sleep on who's that? Oh, just Jefferson gets in the
(11:01):
end that on a straight go route and well contested,
well covered by that Bill's defender. Guy. He is just
he I mean, unbelievable. Ain't the word. He is tremendous.
He is the best talent at wide receiver currently in
the NFL. But again, Stefon Diggs completely flipped the offense
of the Buffalo Bills. That made Josh Allen an entirely
(11:23):
different quarterback. And I was about to say, Jefferson did
most of the legwork literally on this drive with the
yards after catch and then this beautiful catch who was
well defended by Jackson. He just flashed his hands so late. Uh,
the Bills didn't have a chance to really defend him.
But what I was gonna say is t J. Hockenson
getting traded to the Vikings. He had nine catches last
week for seventy yards, already helping out on the first
(11:46):
offensive drive for the Vikings after they got to stop
against the Bills. It's gonna be a long day for
the Bills. This is a tough out, tough out right now.
Justin Jefferson two catches, sixty eight yards and a touchdown,
and we are less than five minutes into that game.
All right, which us getting started here. There's a lot
more to come. Seven games going on currently in the NFL. Already,
(12:06):
the Buccaneers have taken care of the Seahawks one sixteen.
Keep it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the
place that you may have missed her fate end zone
and it is caught Jack in the Minnesota Vikings have
(12:37):
taken us six year o lead. Now back live to
the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red
Zone Radio. That is kay Fan Minneapolis and the Vikings
Radio network. But the Bills have answer back. Vikings Bills
(12:58):
tied at seven. Welcome back to Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
We are live from the ti iraq dot Com studios.
The Giants are on the board. Donts takes the snap,
Wolves left, grows left, compleats it the cat into the
end zone for a touchdown. W Fan Giants Radio Network.
(13:20):
The six and two Giants taken early seven nothing lead
over the Texans. We actually had a flurry of scoring
activity while we were gone. The Dolphins have even up
their game against the Browns. That game now seven all.
The latest score in that game was a alec Ingold
reception from to a tongue of Blaa thirteen yards, so
(13:42):
seven seven now the Dolphins and the Browns. As far
as the Bills score was concerned, lot was a single
Tarry five yard run, So seven seven right now, Rich
the Bills and the Vikings. So we're are off and
running here on a very busy Sunday. Yeah, listen, and
and this is kind of where the rubber meets the
(14:04):
road in terms of uh weather, Right, this is going
to be in certain cities coming up here down the
stretch of the month of November where you're gonna see
offense is potentially suppressed by wind or rain or snow
or cold. And we're starting to see some of like
you know, the Jackets come out on the sidelines and
things like that. But a temperate day in Buffalo and
(14:26):
both of these offenses humming right now, you could see
this being a shootout in Orchard Park, New York. Alright,
Steelers are close to scoring right now. Uh, they are
two and six on the season. Mike Tomlin has never
had a losing season as a head coach. It looks
like that streak is gonna come to an end. They
(14:46):
are committed to Kenny pick At, a quarterback like any
Rickie quarterbacks. He's had some moments and he's had some
really bad moments. And the Steelers are in the end zone.
George Pickens with a short run there. So the Steelers
t can early six. Nothing laid at home against the Saints. Yeah,
there's a lot of people who like the Steelers in
this spot. It was a close spread to The Saints
(15:08):
have been nothing to write home about. Their defense has
surged in certain games, offense has looked at look better
in certain games. But overall disappointing season for both of
these these football teams. But I like the play selection
here kind of caught the Saints defense off guard and
Pickens gets in there for the quick score. All right,
(15:28):
the Jaguars Chiefs, no score. Jaguars opened the game of
an on site kick. They recovered, they didn't go anywhere,
had a pun Chiefs had a drive going, but then
they fumbled and now the Chiefs have the ball back
six minutes to go on the first quarter. No score
right now between the Chiefs and the Jaguars. Let's hear
that Dolphins tying score that as took their running back
(15:50):
in goal on the way to the right was INALI
that is for the episode touch though I amn't all right,
that's Dolphins Radio Network. So seven seven now, five minutes
ago on the first quarter Miami and Cleveland. Here was
that Bills time score. How the stamp they're gonna run it.
They're Singletary driving up the middle into the young Ver touchdown,
(16:13):
Buffalo motor Singletary touchdown. Bill all right, w g R
five fifty Bills Radio Network, seven seven, eight minutes to
go in the first quarter. There by the way off
to a slow start. Passing the ball right now, Josh
Allen three or four nine yards? Uh, Stefan Diggs has
two catches for three yards, so you have to wonder, uh,
(16:34):
he's not. There was a lot of questions whether or
not Josh Allen he didn't practice for much of this week,
but I guess you know, he's a competitor. Is obviously
a big game against the Vikings. Plus you're coming out
that disappointing loss of the Jets. He wants to be
out there, so'll be interesting to see how effective he
is throwing the ball today. Yeah. I mean one of
the more bizarre quotes out of this week leading up
(16:55):
to this game was Josh Allen is hour to hour
in terms of of his injury from head coach Sean McDermott.
You know, he was participating at practice during the week,
he was limited. Uh So they didn't know I guess
up to the minute whether he was gonna go or not,
which is a funny way. Look, I mean, we understand
(17:16):
the severity of certain injuries, and we also understand the
importance of certain players. Um, there is no way if
Josh Allen is healthy enough that he doesn't play. Let's
put it that way, because they need him to win.
He is the engine that drives the Buffalo Bills. Uh So,
even U seventy I don't know, I don't know what
he's at. Sixty eight percent, Josh Allen is better than
(17:39):
one case Keenum in my opinion. So he's gonna be
on the field if he's healthy enough to go. Well. Remember,
starting the day of the Bills at six and two,
they've had their bye week, Jets and Dolphins both at
six and three, and New England five and four, an
entire division above five hundred, unlike the NFC South before
the day where everybody was below five hundred. But who
(18:00):
could have guessed that the a f C East would
be the power conference at least so far in the
first half of this NFL season. By the way, Welcome

under center. It's George Pickens and Pickens goes in for
the touchdown, a handoff from Kenny. Pick it to Pickens
and the rookie from Georgia gets his first black and
gold touchdown, rushing up his career. That's a mouthful right there.
(18:44):
Pick it to Pickens right there. W d v E
one or two point five FM. Steelers Radio Network. They
take the early seven thing lead at home against the Saints. Man.
You are just seeing live and living color. Why the
Jack stole the first possession and went for onside kick.
Because the Chiefs, I mean, they are just so efficient offensively.
(19:04):
Every place seems to work. They just had a forty
six yard reception from Travis Kelsey, that's his longest of
the season so far. They just I mean a simple
inside zone play handoff to Pacheco. He takes it for
about fifteen before bowling over one of the jaguars uh
defenders and their first and goal at the Jack six.
This game tied at zero first quarter, almost over three
(19:26):
minutes thirty nine left on the clock. Mahomes track drops
back throws to a wide open receiver. It's a walk
in touchdown. Yeah, walk and touch him. By the way,
Pacheco fumbled earlier that ended the previous chief DRIVEE but
Tony right there, Tony the trade from the Giants. Yeah,
nobody covered him. Nobody, like literally nobody covered him. And
(19:48):
I mean that's that's one of those passes where you're
Patrick Mahomes saying, could you make this any easier? I
have no idea what they were doing defensively, but what
they were doing so you had a fly sweep motion
that get Kadarius Tony out into the flat. You had
bracket coverage over Kelsey who was running a post route
into the end zone, so that carried the corner and
(20:10):
nobody was home for Tony towards the right sideline, so
mahomes easy pitch and catch, and Tony literally just jumped
on one foot from the five yard line in and
hopped his way into the end zone. Interesting note, guys,
that's his first career touchdown. How about that didn't get
any easier that he did hop in because he was
right on the sideline, no one around him, so he
(20:31):
sort of hopped in on one leg, but no one
there to stop him. All right, let's find out what's
trending right now. Let's welcome in and she brightens our day.
She's decked out in her Chargers gear. I am expecting
America tonight on the road against the San Francisco Wait, wait,
aren't you a Ravens fan? No? That was my first team.
(20:55):
But when l A got two teams, I had to
pick an l A team. How was I not going
to have an l A teams? There? How many? How
many NFL teams do you root for? Those two before?
There was no team in l A's not going to
be a fan and actually go to games. Really, Fars
are playing the Chargers, who are you rooting for? Oh yeah,
(21:20):
there's always a problem if you have two teams and
then they face off. That's the problem with fantasy football. Exactly. Yeah,
you are conflicted. You're gonna have to cut two of
your jerseys and happen together. I'll just wear a Clippers
shirt when they play each other in that way. NFL
agnostic on those, yeah, exactly, exactly. Well, let's start with
(21:42):
the Broncos, who are playing the Titans. Scoreless games so far,
but the Broncos announced that wide receiver Jerry Judy has
an ankle injury and it is questionable to return. We
saw the incident you guys talked about at the turf
and the whole thing. So he has an ankle injury,
questionable to return. But early scoring, which is always fun.
The Steelers are on the Saints seven zero, three minutes
to go in the first quarter. We've got a tie
(22:03):
game with the Vikings and the Bills. They scored kind
of back to back. Seven seven is the score. Less
than five minutes to go in the first The Lions
and the Bears are tied with the field goal three each.
They're just about to start the second quarter. The Chiefs
are up on the Jaguars. That was so interesting to
see the Jaguars start the game with an on side kick.
I was like, did I is this a replay from
(22:23):
another game? And then I realized, no, that's that's how
they're starting the game. And the Chiefs are up though
seven zero on the Jaguars. Late in the first quarter,
the Browns and the Dolphins are tied seven a piece.
They're about to end the first quarter and the Giants.
You guys just talked about Kadarius Tony getting that touchdown. Wait, no,
my tripping, Yes, I'm tripping, sorry, but Darius Tony did
get that touchdown. But the Giants are up on the
(22:45):
Texans seven zero, four minutes to go in that first quarter.
Back to you guys, all right, Monsty, thank you very much.
I'm watching this game between the Titans and the Broncos.
They'll know scoring this game. There's a good reason for that.
Neither team has any offense. Russell Wilson is one for
seven for thirty five yards. He did complete a thirty
five yard pass to Kendall Hinton. One for seven Russell
(23:10):
Wilson halfway through the season, and this is where we
are with the passing game of the Denver Broncos. Well, listen,
here's here's the reality of this situation. UM Tampa Tampa
Bay brought in Tom Brady as a free agent and
he had immediate success. Uh l A brought in Matthew
Stafford as a trade and spent a lot of capital
(23:34):
not only to get Stafford but to move on from
golf and he had instant success. Russell Wilson, who's in
that category of elite top ten pastors every season, went
to the Denver Broncos and it has been offensively awful.
Uh And that's being objective, you know, I I don't
have a dog in this fight. Uh. This is this
(23:55):
has been an awful acclamation to the new offense, to
his new teammates, and he has looked pretty bad. And
a lot of these losses they've had, I mean, where
do you where do you put most of the blame?
Is this Nathaniel Hacket or is this Russell Wilson. I
think combination of a couple of things. I think we
had already seen a decline in the game of Russell
(24:17):
Wilson in Seattle and Let's face it, Geno Smith right
now for Seattle is playing better than Russell Wilson was
a year ago, from the question. So they upgraded their
quarterback position by unloading Russell Wilson. And so you're getting
a quarterback, and we worried about this. Russell Wilson is
not just your classic pocket passer. He has logged a
(24:39):
lot of miles with those legs, led the Seahawks and
rushing several of those years that he was in Seattle.
He had a Hall of Fame run for ten years.
But he is dog years right now and he is
aging rapidly. And remember the Broncos did not have to
extend his deal. They did so anyway. So they're pretty
(25:00):
much stuck with Russell Wilson now for at least three
more years. It is now snowing in Buffalo, New York.
The score tied at sevens. Josh Allen just did a
nice job. Couldn't find any open receivers. You had the
Vikings sinking back in coverage. So it takes it himself
and gets hit by three Vikings gets down to the
(25:21):
ground for the first down injury. Yeah, I was looking
at his right arm. He he didn't come up favoring anything.
He turned his back a little bit smartly to avoid
a big hit directly on that elbow. Meanwhile, did he
get to the corner that you think in? I think
that's in. That looks good, I thought. Then he hit,
(25:44):
Let's are gonna have a replay here, Bills on a sweep.
The foot looked right for the foot now foots down. Yeah,
it's on the white I wonder where before he hit
the where's the football though? Is it passed the pyline
or not? It's just shot, just shy. Let's of that
chief score. They fake a jet action. Mahomes wants to
throw the ball, slings up wide open right side us.
(26:06):
Tony watch the tight rope and is hopping into the
end zone. Touchdown. Cansa city is a football or gymnastics.
On six five, the wolf and the Chief's rate of
network gat was a hop. Of course, it was easy
when there's nobody around you. She's with a seven nothing
late inside two minutes ago in the first quarter. Patrick
(26:26):
Mahomes just doing what he does. Seven and nine hundred
four yards and that touchdown pass to start the game.
Travis Kelsey, by the way, two catches for forty eight yards.
Buffalo Bills end up punching it in at the one
yard line on the outside zone play. Devin Singletary scores
his second rushing touchdown of the day. Josh Allen signaling
to the sideline are we're going for two. And it
(26:47):
was James Cook, by the way, who was just shy
of the pylon on the rush prior to this scoring play,
well blocked by the guys up front, tight ends and
big offensive tackles paving the way. The center Polled Morse
got to the outside. But they're kicking the extra point,
then that is good. It's a fourteen seven ballgame. Bills
lead the Vikings in New York. Big stat in that
(27:10):
game so far is rushing yards. Bills have fifty two,
Minnesota has zero. That's not a good number. The Keets
are going to have to be able to run the ball.
You got Dalvin Cook, he has two rushes, one for
one yard, one for negative one. Uh. They have got
to get their running game going to keep pace with
the Bills team that has got to be motivated after
(27:32):
that Jets game. Jets have a bye week this week.
Rich That Jets victory against the Bills was no fluke
they sacked Josh Allen five times in that game. Sala
has built a defense. So the Jets, They're not getting
a whole lot of production now their offense, but it's
not necessary when you have a defensive front like the
Jets have right now. They are for real and so
(27:52):
all that early talk about are the Giants for real?
Are the Jets for real? The answer is yes and yes, yeah. Well,
and I give a ton of credit to Joe Douglas
as well, Jets general manager. I mean, he's making a
strong case for Executive of the Year. I mean, if
you just think about some of the young players who
have contributed to what the Jets have accomplished this year,
(28:14):
especially on that defensive side of the ball, it's astounding.
It starts with Sauce Gardner, but there's others who have contributed.
And that's a real pass rush, and that's a real
back end. They can run with anybody. They showed that
against the Bills. You're just talking about and highlighting how
incredibly sound they are at skill. On the Buffalo Bills,
they were shut down all day long. And when you
(28:36):
limit a team like that to as few points as
they did, you have a great opportunity to win doesn't
matter what your offense looks like. The Jets weren't. I
mean they weren't. They didn't have an amazing offensive day,
but they scored enough to beat a team that is
absolutely rampaging around the NFL and making good teams look bad.
So you know, the Giants seven a thing laid over
the Texans right now. And of the first quarter, how
(28:57):
about these stats? First downs Giants six, Texans zero total
yards Giants one thirteen Texans negative three. Wow. So there
there's some first quarter numbers for you right there. Uh,
Giants are just gaining a conference. Brian Dabile has come
in there completely flipped the attitude of that Giants team,
(29:18):
say Kwon Barkley. They're grinding it out on the ground.
Daniel Jones continues to grow on confidence as a quarterback.
Off to a good start today. Five is seven seventy
seven yards and one score. So yeah, if you are
a Giants or Jets fan still trying to figure out
is this four reel? Yes, both these teams are legitimate
(29:39):
playoff teams as of the moment. Well, when you get
to November and your team is still winning, your team
is still looking good. The fluke is over all. That
talk needs to stop because this is the time of
the season where, look, there is a mode that you're
in in preseason, there's a speed to the game in preseason.
Regular season begins, there's a mode to that too, and
a speed to that as well. And then there's something
(30:02):
happens around November. It just it feels like playoff football.
It's not quite as urgent or intense, but there's this
extra spring in the step, especially teams who are on
the bubble or who are trying to solidify first round
by whatever it may be. And that's what you're seeing.
And so for the Jets and the Giants, for them
to continue to win into this month, Yeah, the fluke
(30:24):
is over. These are real teams. These are real playoff
teams that you're watching. All right, Let's hear the Bills.
Latest score goots in the shotguns snap gives it to
Singletary driving t g M down. He is in touchdown Buffalo,
his second touchdown of the first quarter. Motors Singletary is
in full throttle now and the Bills take the league
(30:44):
w g R five fifty Bills Radio Network. So the
Bills lead the Vikings fourteen is seven a minute ago.
In the first quarter. In that game, Lions and Bears
are tied at three. Bears got you know, they're getting better,
but so are the Lions. This is another team with
a beleaguered coach. It's just trying to hang on. He's
(31:05):
been given a vote of confidence as far as this
season at least is concerned. But that win last week
against the Packers, you talk about a must win for
a team that's still sitting at two and six on
the season. That certainly was that. By the way, Jared
Goff so far to day six and nine sixty two
yards uh going against the Bears. So you know, we
talked about how do you decide whether or not a
(31:28):
coach a year or two years into his regime is
the right guy to move forward. Dan Campbell's one of
those guys. The Lions are trying to figure out Kirk
Cousins just through an interception, and so the Bills have
the ball back I believe on the Vikings side of
the field. And so this is a huge, huge turning
point early in this game with a seven point lead. Yeah,
(31:50):
look at this, you had double coverage overthrown ball. Yeah
that that was just a poorly thrown football over the middle,
deep crossing out, just a missed shot and it landed
right into the waiting arms of a deep safety. And
so Bills will have the football on the Vikings side
of the field. Four seven right now, Yes, and that
(32:13):
is dropping in Buffalo. Looks a little chilly there, all right?
We continue on seven games going on around the NFL.
If you haven't figured this out already, if you need
the scores, if you need the updates, if you need
the stats, keep it right here. This is Fox Sports

(33:16):
com studios. The Detroit Lions have scored a touchdown, Rich, Yeah,
brock Riich, excuse me, brock Right, tight end for the Lions.
Let's try that again. Brock Right, try to say that
five tight end for the Detroit Lions catches a wide
open pass from Jared Goff in the end zone. So
right now, Detroit in controlled something that I think a
(33:41):
lot of people didn't expect to see with all the
offensive explosion we've seen recently from the Chicago Bears. But
nine to three lead right now for the lines over
Chicago and Detroit. I have not one, not two, not three,
but four field goal updates. The Bills have gotten a
field goal increase in their lead to seventeen seven over
the Vikings. That offense have a field goal to take
(34:01):
a ten seven lead over the Browns. Texans get on
the board with a field goal. They still trail the
Giants seven to three, and the Steelers have a field goal,
increasing their lead over the Saints to ten to nothing.
Still no score at the end of the first quarter
in that Broncos Titans game. By the way, after that
one for seven, start Russell Wilson after listening to our show.
(34:25):
He actually listens to this show while he's playing, and
he completed four of his next five passes. So Broncos
showing a little bit of life offensively, not so much
for Tennessee. Right now, Derrick Henry is always amazing to me,
the best running back in the NFL. He's so dominant,
but he always starts slow a little bit, you know,
six carries sixteen yards, and then you see the numbers
(34:47):
increased by each quarter. It's amazing week after week. By
the fourth quarter, man, you don't want to take on
that load. Some games though, he starts hot and he sustains,
and then obviously if they're leading by enough, he takes
some rest in a fourth quarter. But yeah, for the
most part, it's a bludgeoning that most of most of
the time occurs at the end of the first half
started the second half. That's when he's at his best.
(35:09):
He just wears down defenses and yeah, Russell Wilson running
for his life trying to find anything on their side
of the field. Still, and I'll just say this I
think offensively. Um, what's happened with the Denver Broncos is
a real shame because they have some serious skill position players.
They have what they thought was going to be a
great quarterback in their midst with Russell Wilson, and for
(35:32):
it to be this big of a failure so far
through ten weeks of the NFL season, there's really it's
really kind of beyond explanation. I and it still doesn't
look any better today than it has when they started
the year. No, and then, if anything, they seem to
be regressing and not progressing. No score Broncos and Titans.
(35:53):
There the Lions again taking a ten to three lead
over the Bears. Uh two teams obviously on nowhere in
it is snowing so hard in Buffalo right now. I'm
shocked that the snow hasn't started, uh sticking to the
ground yet. But they just showed a shot. I don't know,
are these fields equipped so we don't see any snow?
(36:14):
I mean, I used to love watching the old days
of snow on the grass and the blanketed white fields.
We don't see that anymore. Well, is there something with
this turf because it's you don't really see anything on
the ground. Part part of the reason earlier in the
year that you don't see snow sticking is because you know,
the sun obviously warms up the turf and then as
(36:35):
it snows, the snow melts immediately. It has to be
frozen before the snow, or close to freezing point for
the snow to actually stick. So that's part of the reason.
It's just not cold enough in in Orchard Park, New York,
on a daily basis for the ground to reach that temperature.
But as soon as it does, man, if it snows
like this in December, you're gonna see a lot of
snow on the field, all right. Some of the numbers
(36:57):
in this Buffalo Vikings game again Bill's Lady as seventeen seven,
six to go in the first half. Josh Allen is
seven of eleven sixty one yards, no touchdowns, no picks.
He had a twelve yard run as well. Devin Singletary story.
There are seven carries thirty two yards and two touchdowns.
Kirk Cousins six of eight ninety yards, one touchdown, but
a big pick led to that latest field goal by
(37:20):
the Bills. Justin Jefferson three catches seventy two yards and
a score. They got to get the running game going going.
So far, Dalvin Cook has three carries for eleven yards,
and as good as the Chief's offense looks today, their
defense is is looking to get going as well. Trevor
Lawrence just sacked by Saunders defensive tackle for the Kansas
City Chiefs, and so that pushes them out of the
(37:42):
fringe range for a field goal. Uh Lawrence facing a
third and twelve, Chiefs leading at home at Arrowheads seven
nothing over Jacksonville. Yeah, right now, Trevor Lawrence four seven
sixty three yards and a touchdown. Snow picks eight to
thirteen for Patrick Mahomes hundred twelve yards and a touchdown.
Let's hear that Lions score. Golf up under center, single
(38:03):
back as Jackson he turns fakes to get the Jackson looks,
throws ends a wide open caught cutdown. Detroit Lions Rock
Wright w x y T FM ninety one the Ticket
Lions Radio Network. So the Lions have the ten to
three lead right now on the road against doub Bass. Yeah.
The Lions need to start sacking up some wins if
(38:24):
they like Dan Campbell as a head coach, because I've
heard from people who say they'll they believe Dan Campbell
will have next year to continue trying this experiment to
turn around this team regardless, like he'll at least be
given the start of next season. But he's only got
five wins as a head coach through almost two full season. Well,
(38:46):
it's easy to say that after a win against the Packers,
if they were to lose out, Yeah, no, the year three,
it would be highly in question. I look at I
don't know. We've seen a lot of one and done
coaches in the NFL, two and done coaches. Remember the
Giants where they have three consecutive coaches and I fired
after two years. It was a parade. It was two years,
(39:07):
two years, two years. Yeah, McAdoo was in that mix.
It was it was a wild that's right. Yeah and
uh And as a result, they finally landed on Brian Dable,
who has recommitted this team to the run game. So
it was McAdoo two year, Shermer two years, Judge, two years,
all fired. And remember mcadoo's first year he had the
(39:29):
playoff run. Uh and then a year later he was fired.
Shermer two years, Judge two years, and it is looking good.
And it was Kaughlin is was right before Sherman took over. Right, Well,
Tom Coughlin had been there for a years, That's what
I'm saying. So you had this long, ten long success
and then you had six years of disruption and now
(39:50):
look again, I guess it's an unknown quantity. It's only
been part of one season. But Brian Dable looks like
a steady hand at the tailer. Well, you could give
him credit, right, I mean, the fact was they were
gonna hang onto coaches for a third season if they
didn't believe that coach could take him to the next level.
And finally, at least for now, looks like they have
(40:13):
found their coach for the future in Brian Dable. Alright,
very busy day around the NFL. By the way, a
little bit later on, we're gonna have the Colts at
the Raiders, Cowboys of the Packers are gonna get into
that game coming up in the next hour, Cardinals at
the Rams, and the Sunday night matchup Chargers at the

game coming up later on today as the Cowboys travel
(41:39):
to Green Bay to take on the real Lean Packers.
And joining us right now, Fox Sideline reporter Tom Rinaldi
is joining us. First of all, Tom, thanks for joining
us here on this Sunday, and I guess looking at
this matchup. Everyone's trying to figure this out. Can the
Packers get things right because what we saw last week
may have been as bad as Aaron Rodd has looked
(42:00):
in recent memory. What's the mood around this Packers team
in Green Bay as they get ready to take on
the Cowboys. Well, listen, guys, there's no mincing words here.
He took to Kenny Clock this week and he said,
every game is a playoff game essentially for us right now,
and we know that we have to try to eliminate
(42:21):
the mistakes we've made, the penalties we've made, play a
complete game. But he did hearken back with a lot
of hope in his voice to his first year. And
if you remember, that's the pack at four and six,
reeling off sixth straight to get to the playoffs. Obviously
it would start with a huge win against the Cowboys.
(42:41):
To go in a run like that, there is energy,
there is some optimism, but you can't overstate the urgency.
They know it's got the start today. Yeah, and then
you look at Mike McCarthy on the other side of
this Ledger Packer excuse me, Cowboys coach, but returns to
where he spent thirteen years as a head coach, One
is only Super Bowl. What was his message to his
(43:02):
team heading into familiar territory for him? Wasn't it striking
to see McCarthy is sort of a bit playful to
a degree with the media this week, guys, when he
talked about being sort of prodded into getting emotional and
that this is an emotional place for him. Our cameras, guys,
we're out here early, plenty early. I was out here
(43:25):
more than four hours before game time as part of
the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show. We're you know, the
sleute to our veterans. Mike McCarthy was out here five
and a half hours before kick. Think about that. He
was sad here on the field. It was still sunny.
Then he had he had somebody next to him pointing
(43:47):
out some of the sites in the landmarks at lambeau Field.
I think obviously he's focused on winning the game, doing
everything they ken. It's a huge matchup for them, but
it's an emotional return, make no mistake about it. This
is where his children have grown up, where they were born,
and he referenced that this week. I think it's it's
truly an emotional return be fascinating guys to see the
(44:08):
reception he receives, and we would expect that certainly to
be warm, because that's the quality of the fan base
here for Packard Nation. Yeah, Cowboys favored on the road
against green Bay. We've seen green Bay suddenly as a
home dog in several games, and you just don't see that, Tom,
And you know, I want to get back to Aaron Rodgers.
He's already had seven interceptions. He only had fifteen interceptions
(44:31):
total in the last four years. How again, I mean,
we're talking about sixty four starts over the last four years,
a total of fifteen interceptions, and he has a good
seven and nine games this year, and and just watching
that game like we were last week against the Lions,
(44:54):
they were very un characteristic. You know, a lot of
times interceptions can be deceiving receiver fall down or that
goes off their hands. These were just bad throws, bad
decision making, which really is a sign of a quarterback
pressing and trying to make things happen when simply not there. Again,
I don't know how much time you've been able to
spend around Aaron Rodgers. He's always been very interesting to
(45:18):
a lot of people what's going on in that head
of his But he has got to be spinning right now, Tom,
I mean he has. I mean you mentioned, you know,
his first year as a starter, Well he's won four
m VP Awards since then, he's won a super Bowl.
That's that's a rookie, Aaron Rodgers in turns of being
a starting quarterback. This is a guy that just signed
an extension in Green Bay. Where is his mind right now?
(45:41):
So I will tell you this, guys, what we are.
You know, we're fortunate and privileged to be able to
spend the time that we do before games with him
during the week, and whether that's virtually, whether it's in
person at Miss Cakes, virtually, you know, for more than
forty five minutes, and it is fascinating each and every time.
(46:01):
And the different things that he shares and touches on,
some on some off the record. He is as interesting
as anyone you can speak within the league. And he's polarizing.
We know that what's not debatable. It is his greatness. Now,
we haven't seen performance like this from him in quite
a while, as you referenced, But one thing he said
(46:24):
and spent time discussing guys, was the notion of competitive greatness, sorry,
the anthem being practiced here behind me as I'm walking
around the field, the that notion and how important that
is and how he's trying to build to instill that
in this group competitive greatness, to play fast, to play hard,
(46:47):
to play without fear of losing, and to execute in
a way that shows the pride you have and what
you do. And he spent significant time talking with us
about that. He also said he's an optimists and he
believes things can turn around. It's happened before it Sometimes
it just takes one win, and he circled bits as
(47:08):
obviously the win that might trigger it. Now, would it
be over if they didn't win. I think from the
outside it would be. I don't know that it would
be to him, But he hasn't lost any drive or activism,
at least in his discussions without Through a season and
a half, we've seen Michael Parsons go from first round
draft picks to just NFL star um thirteen sacks last season.
(47:33):
He's making a case for a defensive Player of the
Year this season with his eight sacks and just some
of the effort plays we've seen defensively from him, How
does he put his thumb on the scale as a
defender in the NFL in today's game, I think I
think you guys know the answer, right, and that's versatility.
The fact that at one point it would suggest that
(47:54):
during this week that he could be lined up at
all three levels of a very defense. I mean that
he can line up hand in the ground. He obviously
can can play linebacker, that he has such incredible quickness,
he could play in the back end as well. I
don't think you'd ever see him there. But his versatility
(48:14):
and the ability to use him as that gadget that
can use any sort of formation and blow up any
shift is just fascinating. And he and he's a listen
recovered the game guys against the Rams where he had
a clear debilitating growing injury, was clearly limited in the
(48:35):
second half. How limited He ended the Ramps with a
sack in that game to ice the game for the Cowboys.
That that's the competitive greatness that Aaron Rodgers was talking about,
where you fight through it, you play every down with
that kind of fearlessness and pride. That's Michael Parsons right now.
(48:57):
Jimmy Johnson on our pregame show had said he's the
MVP of the league. Who's not a quarterback? It's all right, well, Tom,
I'm looking at the weather report for Lambeau today. It
says cold. I don't have to tell you that cold,
and there could there could be a little dampness as
well a little bit later on. It is going to
be the game of the afternoon. Can the Packers find
(49:18):
the magic? And this five game losing streak taken on
a Cowboys team led by former Packard coach Mike McCarthy. Tom,
great stuff is always we appreciate. We'll talk to you
down the road. Thank you for having me. Guys enjoy
this one. We will, Tom Ronaldi joining as Sarah Fox
Cylon reporter. And again that's gonna be a must win.
I mean, can you imagine the Packers on a six
(49:38):
game losing streak, A lost home to the Cowboys not
gonna be easy. Cowboys are confident right now. All right,
let's catch up on some of the games going on.
The Vikings got a Fueld goal, so they trailed the
Bills by a score of seventeen to ten. We got
three thirty to go in the first half. There almost
a halftime right now, and the Bears have tied it
up with the Lions. Let's hear that score. Pump big
(50:01):
now in big trouble brought down. No, we spet the
tackle left to the five. Can he get in? He
powers in and somehow gets in the end zone and
blew through it the chart Lion make something big nothing
all right. W BBM News Radio seven eight AM one

Jalon Virgil touchdown Denver, first NFL touchdown, third down in

four point one f M Broncos Radio Network. So Broncos
have the seven nothing laid on the road against the Titans.
Uh that game was about six minutes ago. In the
first half, she still lead the Jags fourteen nothing Dolphins
over the Browns ten seven giants hanging onto that seventh
three lead over the Texans, and the Saints got a
(51:07):
field goal, still trail on the road against Pittsburgh ten
the three. Yeah, exciting, exciting matchups. Everywhere you look, a
lot of close games. Nothing's decided yet really, except for
Kansas City has a pretty commanding lead over the Jacksonville
Jaguars with six minutes thirty six seconds left in this
one fourteen nothing at Arrowhead. Um. Yeah. Look, I mean
(51:28):
one of the things that you noticed when you watch
Kansas City is just like every year that Mahomes has
been the starting quarterback their offense. That I mean, they
added Cadarius Tony, he scores his first career touchdown. It
is Andy Reid hasn't missed a step. I mean, he
gets so many players involved. You hear zero complaining from
(51:50):
his receivers, from his running backs. Uh, Patrick Mahomes has
weapons everywhere he looks. It's really incumbent upon them when
they're seeing you know, situation is where defenses are playing
shell coverages and trying to keep all the explosive plays
in front of them. Uh. You know that Patrick Mahomes
just doesn't self destruct because when they play within the
framework of their offense. I don't know if there's another
(52:13):
team in the FFC, maybe in the NFL who can
run with the Chiefs when they're when they're playing the
way they are through this half. Well, they've dominated the
f C West, but they still have just the one
Super Bowl victory. I mean, the disappointing finishes to the
last two seasons, the blowout loss of the Bucks in
the Super Bowl and that inexplicable second half collapse against
the Bengals at home, and that a f C Championship game. Look,
(52:36):
any Reid's got a spot in the Hall of Fame,
we know that. But the question is can they get
another Super Bowl win? And you know, we we talk
about legacy, We talked about quarterbacks, we talk about coaches.
They're the only two really that are tied to Super Bowls.
You know, Quarterbacks super Bowls, coaches super Bowls. How many
do you win? Every time we watch the Chiefs, you're saying, look,
they're as good as any team in this league, but
(52:57):
can they finish the job. Right now, they're doing a
je up on the Jags leading this game by fourteen
now nothing all right, seven games going on right now,
close in and on halftime on these games We've got
other big games coming up this afternoon. Will break it
all down for you. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the

This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live

right now to us fourteen of seventeen hundred fifty four
(54:02):
yards to touch has no picks. That's a pass i
radiing of a hundred forty three point six. He is
now over seventy percent completion percentage for the season. He
now has seventeen touchdowns only three interceptions. Remember all those
people doubting to a tongue of Bloa and then the
question as well, with the addition of Tyreek Hill, have
any impact on TA Also remember that Tyreek Hill bragged
(54:26):
about how accurate to a tongue of Bloa was as
a quarterback. Well, it's all coming together this season year
three for two. Uh. He is now living up to
the hype that he had coming out of the University
of Alabama. I don't think there's a Dolphin fan out
there disappointed that they drafted to a tongue of BYLOA.
Looks like the Saints just tied up this ballgame in Pittsburgh.
(54:48):
Jown Johnson just caught a touchdown pass. I'll make it
ten all as the waning seconds of the second half
for ticking off the clock. Only nineteen left in the
second quarter. There, Andy Dalton mines Johnson. Uh. And we
also have a touchdown in this Bill's game. Who got
in there? Did you guys? See David Davis there goes
(55:09):
right in the front corner of the end. He's a
touchdown machine. Absolutely. Look at this rowdy rand just a
quick look over his shoulder, a short double move, elevates
comes down with the football two ft in and so
that's good for another Bill's score to a tongue of Iola.
Are we all in on to a Bill's lead? By
the way against Minnesota and ignoring my conversation about two
(55:33):
a tongue of iola. I look, there's there's no refuting.
Not only are the Miami Dolphins UH one of the
best teams in the a f C this year. That's
inarguable both defensively and offensively. They're way better with TOA.
I mean, when they had the parade of quarterbacks coming
in after he had the concussion scare, UH, that offense
(55:54):
looked paled in comparison to how it looked when he
was at the helm. Now look those our backup quarterbacks Bridgewater. Uh.
I forget the name of their third string quarterback who
got some run as well, But but you can tell
the difference. I mean, that guy has truly come into
his own as a passer. Mike mc daniel has done
a nice job building an offense around his capabilities. He
(56:16):
has limitations. He's not the best. He doesn't have like
the howitzer that a Justin Herbert or Patrick Mahomes has.
He's not gonna pump the ball down the field in
the air like p J. Walker connected on a sixty
eight yard air yard touchdown pass the d J mar
he doesn't have. He doesn't have that kind of arm.
But is he accurate? Absolutely? And we said this when
(56:38):
he was at Alabama playing for the Crimson Tide. The
sideline passes where he has to drop it in the
basket in front of a receiver, you know, forty yard
throw in the air. He can do those things. How much?
How often do you need to heap the ball more
than forty yards? Not often. He is accurate, he is smart.
He can run this offense in a year's time or
(56:59):
less than a year's time. McDaniel, It's only gonna get better.
By the way, I had to look up that quarterback.
It was the rookie Skyler Thompson. Skyler Thompson. He was
in there for a little bit when two went down
with that injury. But since that concussion and that whole
fiasco too, has come back better than ever. Again. Dolphins.
It is at the half right now, leading the Browns
by score of seventeen seven two again seven fourteen and
(57:22):
seventeen hundred fifty four yards, two touchdowns, noe picks. Jeff
Wilson has sixty two yards on the ground on eight carries.
Mostard has twenty five yards and five carries, So they
got a running game going on right now. Uh. Meanwhile,
Jalen Waddle a couple of catches for thirty six yards.
Hyreek Hill only has two catches for twenty two yards,
but his mere presence on the field changed the whole dynamic.
(57:43):
One thing for the Browns that is not working right
now is their running game in this game. Nick Chubb
six carries sixteen yards. Kareem Hunt four carries eight yards.
Browns have no chance of coming back in this game
unless they get that running game going. Meanwhile, Buffalo cannot
be stopped. Snamp Josh in the gun fires one towards
the end zone looking for Gave Davis, goes up high,
(58:05):
makes the catch. Yes, touchdown, Buffalo gave Davis touchdown from
Josh Allen and eleven yards strike. What a drive that
once it took listen and it took about a minute
and a half. Yes, w g R bills Radio Network
bills over the Vikings right before the half and Josh
Allen any questions about his health, well, no questions about
(58:28):
his production today Rich fourteen of eighteen hundred thirty four
yards one touchdown note pics. He also has three carries
for forty six yards on the grounds. All this noise
about would he be able to play? Could he play?
By the way I look. Every time I look up,
the Chiefs are in the end zone again. Yeah it's
And then you have Jacksonville Jaguars pleading their case with
the officiating crew. Let's see how they get this done.
(58:50):
They have Travis Kelsey split out to one side, drawing coverage.
Patrick Mahomes finds Gray in the end zone just running
a wheel route. Well, Noah Gray action. Let me tell
you something. Kelsey as good as he is, and he
is an excellent receiver, he's almost a better decoy because
(59:11):
when he is dragging coverage with him. That's the reason
why Darius Tony has a touchdown today because he was
double covered in the end zone. Tony was wide open
after the fly sweep motion. Same there with Noah Gray.
He was opening the end zone. Because you have to
commit two players to Kelsey, it just opens opportunities for
these other receivers, whether it be in single coverage or
(59:33):
all by themselves with blown coverages. Another day at the
office or Patrick Mahomes fifteens, three touchdowns, no picks, and
we are heading to halftime in that game with the
Chiefs in firm control up twenty nothing. Wy on the
extra point against Jacksonville. By the way, Welcome to the

(01:00:16):
the commitment to the the football season, even as a broadcaster,
has pulled me away from all of my fun hobbies.
And I'm just all ball right now. No days off, Steve,
no days off? Nothing right there? How about by the
little side note, you know Rich doing his job. By
the way, extra point is no good. Bucker missed it.
That's it. That's it our first missed extra point of
(01:00:38):
the game. So the Chiefs lead the Jags by score
of twenty to nothing. This could come back and haunt them. Yes, um,
you are doing Aztecs football. I had to look last night.
I was disappointed. U C l A. Just going belly
up against Arizon at home. Very bad loss going in
(01:01:00):
to the USC game. So I'm watching your San Jose.
San Jose State was six and two. They come into
San Diego like that, fourteen nothing and and it spartans
off to a big late and I'm like, oh, forget it.
I wake up this morning thinking all right, how bad
did they lose San Diego stay put up? Yeah. Chevin Kidero,
former Hawaii Rainbow Warriors quarterback, transferred to San Jose State
(01:01:23):
this offseason and has piled up a ton of yardage
passing and rushing the football. And they got out to
a hot start, two consecutive drives to touchdowns scored, and
then San Diego State answered with a kickoff return for
touchdown and really never looked back. Their defense played great,
offense put up a whole ton of points, and it
was It was fun to watch because in college football
(01:01:45):
it has been for the most part of score fests,
everywhere you look, offenses are exploding. San Diego State really
hasn't had a game like that this season so far.
It was good to see. All right. Quick question. Also
snap Dragon Stadium, the new home of the Aztecs, who
are there when they were showing off the place before
it officially opened. UM. One of the promises made to
(01:02:06):
you as essentially the face of Aztecs football by Jade Wicker,
their athletic director, is that you're gonna get plenty of
food brought directly into the press box. Uh, for the games?
Is that actually happening? I can't. I can't describe to
you how well I'm meeting. I had. I had a
(01:02:26):
fully loaded baked potato with chili cheese, chives, sour cream butter,
I had brisket, I had what else? I had a
corn salsa salad. Buddy, Yeah, I mean the reason part
of the reason why I haven't been manning the grill
is because I can count on every home game on
Saturday getting fed Like, Hi, well, very good for you.
Let's star. What are those fresh cut fries? Did you
(01:02:50):
say loaded baked potato? Fully? What was on that baked potato?
Chili cheese which I believe was a mix like a
Mexican blend delict chives? Uh? What else was sour cream? Butter?
I mean literally everything that had at the fixing tables
just threw on there. Look at look at Sam. He
is just drooling right now, he's thinking about that baked potato.
(01:03:13):
Let's find out what's trending right now. Mancy has been
hanging out how any baked potatoes, but watching these games
and also drooling every time Rich talks about he has
a way because you know how much he enjoys it,
and that bade and the way he talks and the
way he describes it. I mean, you take away the
(01:03:33):
bacon because you know she's vegan. Not a load of
baked potato sounds good. It does sound delicious, But I
will say this, it's an underrated thing. And I know
this doesn't work for a vegetarian or vegan, but when
you open up, when when you split open a baked
potato and you have the steam just and then you
just you carve it up into cubes and then you
(01:03:54):
dump some chili on there, I don't know how to
discard the magic that happens between the chili dripping and
the potatoe there. I mean it's something that I'm sure
like Shakespeare wrote sonnets about it really is. I mean
the historical record needs to reflect how delicious I mean
the traditional when all I mean you're getting loaded there,
(01:04:16):
But I mean when you just open, like you said,
you split that potato and just that Steve and you
got the butter sour cream some charges you talking about
now everything else like chili or cheese. And I was
always a fan of a little broccoli and cheese and
my baked potato. Yeah it sounds like soup. Yeah, but
(01:04:36):
with the potato. And then I think I used they
used to have this at BJ's restaurants and I think
it had Alfredo sauce. It was it was bother me
with a great time. Yeah, it's so delicious. Well, with
twenty seconds left in the first half, the Saints scored
a touchdown and tied the game against the Steelers, so
they are tied at ten apiece. The Giants are still
(01:04:57):
beating the Texans seven to three, and the doll Fins
are up on the Brown seventeen to seven. These three
games are at halftime to a Togo Vloa which you
mentioned earlier, having a great game fourteen of seventeen a
hundred and fifty four yards to touchdowns so far in
the game. The Vikings and the Bills are also at halftime.
The Bills are beating the Vikings twenty four to ten,
but Kirk Cousins not having a bad game either for
(01:05:18):
the Vikings a hundred and forty three yards a touchdown.
But of course Josh Allen. I was telling the guys
in there. I like Josh Allen. I'm a fan of his.
He's making me over here. I don't know if I
could say what I said to them, but I was like,
he's making me uncomfortable. He's like tackling people, he's running,
he's putting his shoulder down. Buddy, you are hurt. I
need you to relax. He's making me uncomfortable. The Lions
(01:05:39):
and the Bears are tied at ten apiece. They just
got started in the third quarter. The Broncos are up
on the Titans, who have yet to score. So in
this week's episode of Why I Hate Fantasy Football, the
star is Derrick Henry. In this week's episode, he has
done nothing for me. What does he have? He has
eight carries for sixteen yards, Thank you, buddy. So right now,
the Broncos are beating the Titans ten to zero, and
(01:06:02):
I think that's all of him right well, the Chiefs
beating the Jaguars, no shocker there seven. They're about to
go into halftime a couple of the scary hits for
some of the wide receivers of the Chiefs uh Juju Smith,
Schuster and him. You guys saw that hit. He's officially
in concussion protocol. And Marquess Valdez scant Lean he was
also taken to the medical tent after a hard hit.
So back to you guys. All right, Monsey, what are
(01:06:22):
you speaking of that Chiefs lead against the Jags. Here's
with the Chief's latest score. The kin and half back
left sprints to the near flat malls for touchdown. Kansas
City Noah Gray Patrick Mahomes with more touchdown passage than
any quarterback in national football history in his first seventy games.
(01:06:46):
One on six point five, the Wolf and the Chief's
radio netwar. But get this, I mean there wasn't a
lot of time left in the half, and somehow the
Jags a couple of big pass plays put him in
a position to score, and the Jags got a touchdown
right for the half, So the Chiefs missed the extra point.
Twenty there, Jacks now have seven. So now we got
(01:07:06):
ten seconds left in the first half. Chiefs leading the
Jaguars by a score of seven. By the way, they
must have skipped halftime in Chicago because as we're going
to halftime in all these games, were inside tim minutes
to go in the third quarter in the Bears Lions game?
Are they shortening the quarters in this meaningless battle right now?
(01:07:28):
In the NFC North Bears leading, this game actually tied
ten tim But every other game is at halftime and
this the clocks rolling in this game, we're inside tim
minutes to go on the third quarter. This will start
at the same time. This is a strange one because
you know, you look at you look at the passes.
I mean, nothing that's gonna blow your doors off. The
Chicago's attempted twelve passes. They skip halftime. Golf is attempt
(01:07:52):
at fourteen. Let's look at how many penalties have been
called in this game? How about that? Only five so far? Yeah,
so inexplicables. This pot possible that this game is motoring
so quickly. I don't know. I mean, other teams are
all at halftime, and this game is motoring, This game
is gonna be over. Yeah yeah, yeah. Maybe they had
(01:08:13):
a shorter halftime. Maybe they only have like half as
many orange water. I would imagine the weather in Chicago's
cold right now, everybody kind of wants to go home.
They're like, listen, I mean, that's the Bears Lions, all right. Well,
I got proof that the Jags were not rolling over
in Kansas City dropping. I guess the Blitz curb fires.
That ball is gonna be in the corner and for
(01:08:35):
the touchdown, Christian Kirk got both feet down and the
Jag score late and a half double w j x
L A M ten ten five Jaguars Radio Network. So
the Jags do get that score right before the half.
Christian Chiefs lead at with a nice little mesh route
with the that he was the inside receiver and they
(01:08:57):
were just trying to rub off the fenders there and
just gain leverage, and a perfectly thrown ball from Trevor
Lawrence gets him into the end zone. So at least
within two scores right now of the Kansas City Chiefs,
making the game a bit more respectable there. But you
mentioned this Bears game, UM in Chicago tied against the
lines right now, we just got the two minute warning
(01:09:19):
in the game. Yeah that yeah, they're they're they're getting
the postgame presses set up as they speak, UM. But yeah,
you know, look justin fields right now, leading passer obviously,
but also leading rusher with a touchdown there. We played
that earlier today, nine carries seventy four yards, one touchdown,
and that has been the difference him. They have built
offense completely around his talents. They are pulling no punches.
(01:09:41):
They're not trying to preserve his health. They're saying, hey,
look what did you do that was so special at
Ohio State. Oh yeah, you were a dual through, like
a true dual threat quarterback that could be used in
the run game. We failed to do that here, which
means that we failed you as a quarterback. There were
a lot of people who are mad Kyle sh in Hand,
for example, I'll give you this example because Trey Lance
(01:10:03):
was being used in the run game. I said, that's
what Tray Lance is. That's what made him intangibly greater
than the rest of the prospects coming out of college
football because he was a true dual threat quarterback coming
out of North Dakota State. Same could have been said
about Carson Wentz when he was a rookie quarterback coming
out of college. What made him different different was his
(01:10:24):
ability to be a difference maker in the run game.
Same thing that could be said about Josh Allen, who's
improved as a passer, but was truly a dual threat
guy out of Wyoming and was used as such. You
need to curtail your offense to the talents of your players,
and that's what very smartly Luke Getsy, offensive coordinator with
the Chicago Bears, has began to do with Justin Fields
(01:10:46):
and it's worked. Touchdown Bears, touchdown Bears, just like that.
So the Bears have taken a sixteen to ten laid
Did you guys see the score there? I'm looking around.
I make sure the point is good. Seven. It was
a pass from Justin Fields. I believe that's Colt was
actually a you're right, it was a passing play. I
(01:11:06):
believe his tight end comes down with it for the score.
So Bears now leading seventeen ten in Chicago. By the way,
another game that's right at the half, right now, closing
in on the half are the Titans and the Broncos,
and the Titans trailing in this game ten nothing. Ever,
since we talked about how bad Russell Wilson's been, It's
been on fire the rest of the half. He has
(01:11:28):
yards passing in a touchdown Titans trailing ten nothing, sixteen
seconds to go. They have a third and goal right
now at the nine yard line. So while Russell Wilson
has suddenly turned things around again inspired by our negative talk,
the Titans have no offense. Ryan Tannehill is just eleven
of twenty four passing yards, no touchdowns, no picks. Derrick
(01:11:51):
Henry eight carries six teen yards. Yeah, they need Superman
to find a phone booth quick because Derrick Henry is
king like Clark Ken out there. When he wakes up,
the game changes. But if he has a slow day,
as goes the Titans offense. Because Tannehill is not gonna
win you games, not on his own, merit. You need
(01:12:12):
Derrick Henry. He is, you know, very similar to how
we're just talking about the Chicago Bears. They've built an
offense around justin fields now and it's working. This offense
in Tennessee has been built around Derrick Henry, and so
if you don't have a star back in the backfield,
they look very pedestrian. Right third and goal, right now
at the nine yard line, Tannehill is going to throw
(01:12:33):
it to the end zone and it is caught. Touchdown.
Titans are they calling it a touchdown or was he
knocked out of bounds? It's a touchdown right now? Less
Brookie Kine? Is that am I right? With that name?
I can't tell if his if his feet were inbounds.
Well they they said it was getting a different angle
(01:12:55):
on this play. But Ryan Tannehill delivering and that is
to dragged that second foot. Uh So there we go.
The Broncos lead now ten to six, penning that extra
point attempt by the Titans. Meanwhile, we are watching Miami
get in the end zone again. Most dirt on was
(01:13:15):
it a reception or a run? So the Dolphins after
spotting Cleveland and early seven nothing lead, just tearing him
apart right now. He was sending three to seven twenty
four yard rushing uh score, and he wasn't touched. That
was a gaping hole up front over the left side
(01:13:36):
and it was a foot race to the pylon. And
most are made that look easy. The Dolphins right now
on top in a big way over Cleveland here in
the third boy, I tell you what any believers in
this a f C East Bills winning big over the
Vikings trying to get to seven and two. Uh the
you know Jets obviously with a bye week, they're sitting
at six and three. Uh, look at this team right now, Miami,
(01:13:59):
they're trying to get to seven and three on the season.
And then you have your former team, the Patriots sos
have a bye wink, but the winning record at five
and four rolling along right now. Yes, we are well
into second halfs in some of these games right now.

Bears Lions just motoring along right now, almost at the
end of the third quarter. Uh. Not a huge amount
of scoring today though, Rich No, Yeah, what we're seeing.
I think in certain cases the weather having an effect.
(01:16:14):
It's really cold in Buffalo, but you know that hasn't
slowed down the Bills any Minnesota plays indoors out there.
But look around a couple of different regions of this country.
It's ice cold in New York. I think that's limited
some of the scoring. It's cold in Chicago, it's cold
in Pittsburgh. I think this is the part of the
(01:16:35):
season where defenses and your run game are wildly important
because you're facing cold, you're facing weather. And do we
have another cold committ touchdown for the Chicago Bears. I
believe we do. On a long pass from Justin Fields
down the right sideline, so another score. Yeah, this was
just a sail route, like a long deep corner route
(01:16:57):
to commit and they connect and the big yards on
that touchdown. Extra point is good. So it is a

NFC East has produced some astounding teams, the Giants, the
(01:18:23):
Dallas Cowboys, especially when you look at losing your franchise quarterback,
your forty million dollar a year man in Dak Prescott,
and still having the record they have. Obviously, what the
Philadelphia Eagles have done this season, the NFC East was
really kind of one of those Hey, yeah, I guess
Eagles will win it. Will the Dallas Cowboys be any good?
(01:18:45):
I wonder what Dable is gonna look like with with
the Giants and if he can really revive Daniel jones
career to Hey, you know, the NFC East maybe the
best division in all football right now? Well, record wise,
we still go with the a f C East because
all their teams have winning records. Commanders obviously sitting at
four and five right now in the NFC East. But
when you look at the NFC in general, is the
(01:19:08):
Super Bowl representative of the NFC gonna come out of
the NFC East right now? It would seem most likely. Meanwhile,
again we haven't talked a lot about for good reason
because not much is happening. Saints and Steelers still tied
to ten. We got nine minutes ago in the third
quarter Kenny pick at twelve or twenty one, just a
hundred three yards, no touchdown, snow picks. Nag Harris has
(01:19:29):
ten carries for sixty two yards New Orleans, Andy Dalton
thirteen and nineteen thirty seven yards in the score. Camara
has only twenty one yards rushing in this game. Again,
this is a two and six Steeler team against the
three and six Saints team. These are teams that not

these are franchises looking for some answers right now. It

(01:21:38):
The Vikings and the Bills went in today as the
game of the day, Vikings coming in with a record
of seven and one, a whopping four and a half
game lead in that NFC North taken on a Bills
team that was, you know, disappointing last season. Josh Allen
got beat up. They lost to the Jets. But a
different Bills team today leading this game by a school
(01:22:00):
or of twenty four to ten. Gets back to the
Vikings because we're talking about the NFC East and where
the Eagles are right now, and the Cowboys and the Giants,
and we you know, sort of have a theory that
maybe that that Super Bowl team is gonna come out
of that division. I maybe look at Tampa right now,
five and five, Green Base three and six going into
(01:22:21):
their battle with the Cowboys. The NFC West has largely
been a disappointment. Seattle is still sitting atop that division.
But where are we with the Vikings? This was sort
of you know that day when we're going, all right,
let's see Kirk Cousins is throwing a couple of picks
in this game. They only have twenty four yards rushing
in this game. Uh, is this a real look at
(01:22:42):
this Vikings team or are they just running into a
really superior Bills team today? Well, they're running into a
Bills team that's coming off of one of the more
embarrassing losses of the season. Because whether or not we
want to give the Jets their flowers, the Bills don't.
It's a division rival. That's a team that I'm sure
if you ask every single member of the Act of
(01:23:03):
fifty three on that Buffalo Bill squad whether they would
presume it would be a big win or a close win,
or a close loss or a big loss, I'm pretty
sure the vast majority would say, well, we're gonna kick
their doors in, Like where this is gonna be a blowout,
and it wasn't. So, you know, Sean McDermott, Josh Allen,
(01:23:25):
that defense who really uh did a poor job, especially
down the stretch of that game, controlling the Jets offense.
They have a lot to prove this week and and
what better than to go against Minnesota Vikings team that
has been good all season but sort of living on
the edge. I've been winning a lot of close games
and they are proving their dominance today a couple scores,
(01:23:47):
Jaguars get a field goal rich, so they now trail
the Chief's twenty to ten, hanging in there inside six
minutes ago on the third quarter. Meanwhile, we're cutting end
of the third quarter and the Dolphins are knocking on
the door again. They have a third and goal at
the two yard line to a tongue of elo in
this game seven two or thirty five yards and two touchdowns. So,
(01:24:09):
Mike McDaniel, obviously a lot of questions. I you know,
you and I talked about going into this season. You
know what, what team do you have your eye on?
I to me the most intriguing team preseason. We got
another Dolphin's touchdown right now, that's Tyreek Hill. Oh oh
wait a second, Oh yeah, no, they're calling a touchdown.
He had this conversation with the official and I wasn't
(01:24:30):
sure if that he was just doing something crazy. That
was his celebration. Tyree Hill gets in the end zone.
But I you know, there were two factors there. How
much impact with Tyreek Hill have on this Miami offense?
The answer is immeasurable. Uh. And Mike McDaniel, I mean,
he was sort of an unknown quantity. You're on the sidelines,
you're at the side of Kyle Shanahan, who's really running
(01:24:52):
all the offense in San Francisco. How much impact is
Mike McDaniel having. Uh? And so far, so good. I mean,
this is a team up. We have a miss extra point. Yeah,
we have a miss extra point by Miami. So the
lead is now thirty to ten, thirty one to ten.
But Tyreek Hill getting the end zone. But on both fronts,
Tyreek Hill as good as advertised. He's made a huge
(01:25:15):
impact to a Tonguey's third touchdown pass of the day,
and Mike McDaniel is showing something in again this is
it was an interesting Miami team. Remember a year ago
they had a seven game losing streak followed guy the
seven game winning streak. They had obviously the fallout of
a coach, and they bring him Mike McDaniel and he
(01:25:36):
has really not flinched. No, he hasn't. And I'll say
this about the Miami Dolphins the roster um, considering how
much flux there was, the fact that they've been able
to handle this and have success following all of that
is impressive in its own right. The fact that they're
breaking in a new head coach. I mean, look at
a playoff team from a year ago who got a
brand new offensive coach who you know, arguably one of
(01:25:59):
the more brilliant offensive minds in in the NFL. Really
struggling in the Las Vegas Raiders, right, you know. So
you look at the Miami Dolphins. Pretty decent team, but
things can go off the rails really fast, and and
they have for the Raiders, but they haven't for the Dolphins.
So credit to that coach, but credit to the roster
for believing in the head coach and performing well for
(01:26:20):
the head coach. Because we know early wins really are
what help you put put yourself ahead of the pack
and help build confidence. And we have a touchdown se
Kwon Barkley in New York. Uh. That is I believe
his second day or is that its first of the
day from the running back. Uh. They lead right now
twenty to ten, ensuing extra point to come. That is
(01:26:40):
his first of the day. But he's been carrying a
lot on this game here, well over a hundred yards
rushing for se Kwon Barkley. Uh. The Giants now lead
twenty to ten over the tex and Sexans have been
hanging in there despite the fact they have almost no offense.
But there has been the Giants way. I mean, the
Giants are not gonna blow people out, but they have
and trying to figure out ways to win all season long.
(01:27:02):
And Daniel Jones been outstanding today. Thirteen of seventeen hundred
ninety seven yards two touched, has no picks. That's a
near perfect passer rating. Barkley doing the damage, carries a
hundred eighteen yards and the touchdown he just scored. So
now Giants lead the Texans toe to go in the
third quarter. I just love how easy the Chiefs to
(01:27:24):
make it look to gain huge chunk plays. Have been
doing it all day long, and just a little outlet
pass to Jerrick McKinnon from Patrick Mahomes on a third
and two play here gets the Chiefs over midfield, back
in Jaguars territory, and you can see it's just um
a little clear out route from the two three receiver
side rather and it leaves number one McKinnon wide open underneath.
(01:27:46):
Just an easy pitching catch from Patrick Mahomes, just working
the ball down the field. They lead twenty to ten
at Arrowhead over the Jacksonville Jaguars, keeping it close though.
You know the Jags defensively, they've knocked out two of
the Chiefs receivers and mvs and Smith Schuster Uh playing
a physical football game against the Chiefs, but they just
(01:28:06):
won't be denied drop pass from McKinnon after the big
game on that last one. Yeah, Mahomes is seventeen sixteen yards,
three touchdowns, no picks, nine different receivers for the Chiefs
in this game. Of the injuries, guys settling in and out.
Trevor Lawrence looking pretty good yards, one touchdown, no picks.
(01:28:27):
So yeah, Jack's hagging in Chiefs leading this game by
a score of twenty to ten inside four minutes ago
in the third quarter. Let's hear the Dolphins latest score,
rolls to the right back. He goes with most to
the right back to throw, throws a touchdown hill. It's
four for the year. Going backwards, Yeah, going backwards. Putting
(01:28:49):
on his show Dolphins Radio Network. There extra point was
no good. So the Dolphins lead the Browns by a
score up thirty to ten. Let's get another rule and
score in had off. Broxley runs right because again Joe
touch down. Giants sick one Barkley from two yards out,
his sixth rushing touchdown of the season. Have the Giants
(01:29:09):
answer Houston with seven of their own with to go
w Fan Giants Radio Network. So, as you mentioned, Giants
lead the Texans by a score of twenty one to ten.
It gets that time where we're looking around, like, all right,
which games are gonna be the games that come down
the stretch? And right now the closest games are the
Broncos at the Titans, which has been a barn burner.
(01:29:31):
Oh my ten seven Broncos they have the ball right now,
Lemons to go in the third quarter, and then the
other barn burner ten tens still the Saints and Steelers.
Is that game really actually being played? I mean, are
they just sort of an idol right now? I haven't
seen anything highlight wise in that game. Seemingly the entire
(01:29:52):
game that game has been so been a little rough
right now. The Steelers, though, have a first and ten
at the Saints twenty yard line. Kenny pick in this
game is fifteen hundred sixty nine yards. Excuse me, yeah,
hundred sixty nine yards. No touchdowns, no picks. That's pretty
much it. No touchdowns, no picks. Yeah, yeah, Look, I
(01:30:13):
mean what we're what we're looking at is some of
the least productive offenses in the NFL. Who you know,
it is what it is. We live in a fantasy
football age, and the Saints aren't interesting because they don't
score a lot of points. They don't score a lot
of touchdowns for your team, right steel are similar Tennessee Titans.
Outside of Henry what other juice do they have? I mean,
the Denver Broncos have been a laughing stock offensively, so
(01:30:38):
that's part of the reason. And then also their records
reflect where they are. Except the Titans, mind you, leading
their division, the FC South, with a five and three record,
just doing it in sort of the old school fashion.
So their their team success is circled around the run
and playing great defense. All right, I wanted to ask
you this. I'll take some time right now since we
(01:30:58):
have a little well in the action. Colts this week
fired Frank Wich. We were looking at Frank Wreich on
the sideline after that only lost last week. I was
asking what's on his mind right now? It wasn't anything positive.
And Frank Wright gets blown out by the Colts and
they hired Jeff Saturday out of the booth, so to speak.
Jeff Saturday, of course you see him on the NFL network.
(01:31:19):
I don't know what is the ESPN ESPN analysts of course,
the outstanding player uh throughout his career. Um, I was
a little surprised as much heat that the Colts got.
I get it, it's an interim coach. They obviously don't
buy a lot in the season. I don't know if
they think that Jeff Saturday is going to be the
answer moving forward. But what did you think of the
(01:31:40):
firing of Frank Wright? Someone you know him for a
long time, and another guy you know, Jeff Saturday. Yeah,
I mean, did they get better? I guess is the question.
And I don't think they did I did see when
you make decisions like this, Um, you know, I guess
maybe if you wanted to take a look at Saturday
as a potential head coaching candidate, and that was the
only way he was going to join your franchise as
(01:32:02):
a as a coach, because I know, look that Jim
Ursey said. Uh. Chris Ballard, general manager, both said during
this press conference. Look, we've we've asked him to join
our staff many times as an offensive line coach, as
an offensive coach in general, He's turned us down at
every juncture. Um, so maybe the only way he was
going to accept a role with this franchise was as
(01:32:24):
a head coach, and they saw an opportunity. Okay, so
good for them and if it works out. I don't
know what that looks like. Is it because he's a
great leader. Is it because he is a great organizer.
Is it because he's a tremendous situational coach, because he
understands clock management, time out usage? Is it because you
know he gets players to to fight above their they're
(01:32:47):
playing weights, so to speak. I guess I guess if
you're ever gonna want to test out that theory, you're
gonna do it here and now when it's an interim
situation and overall a loss season, But are you going
to give the best opportunity for success? So I just
don't really understand the hiring altogether. Yeah. By the way,
Jesus scored again, seven yard touchdown past Patrick Mahomes to
(01:33:09):
Travis Kelsey. That's mahomes fourth touchdown pass of the day.
They lead the Jags by a score of coming to
the end of the third quarter. All right, we're rolling
to the fourth corners right now. Seven games around the NFL.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox
(01:33:31):
Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place that you
may have missed. Nick Chubb has the ball going left side.
Nick jump bustch Chub inside the five end of the
end zone. Touched Owt from thirty three yards out. Now
back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This
is Fox Red Zone Radio. How's Brown's Radio network. They
(01:33:57):
got a lot of work to do. Still, Nick shove
there with a touch down run. He has eleven carries
sixty three yards in that score. But they still trail
to Miami Dolphins thirty to seventeen to go in the
fourth quarter. In that game, Welcome back to some Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from the tire
rack dot Com studios. So the seven games going on today,
(01:34:21):
actually one game already in the books. Earlier today out
of Munich, the Buccaneers held on to defeat the Seahawks
by a score of one to sixteen. By the way,
in that game, Tom Brady had a streak of passes
without an interception snapped, apparently just three short of the
NFL record held by Aaron Rodgers, only his second interception
(01:34:44):
of the year. But with that win, Tampa Bay is
five and five and they're the only division team in
their division to actually have a record that's not a
losing record. Yeah, well they're leading, yeah real bad. Uh.
Scenes are in out by the way, trailing the Pittsburgh
Steelers in Pittsburgh ten. So not not getting any better.
(01:35:06):
And it was an awful Thursday night or between the
Falcons and the Carolina Panthers. And we have a pick
six in this Lions game, So all of a sudden
they've come all the way back and tied it with
the Chicago Bears. Extra point dependent, of course, it's three
right now, and it's good. So twenty four all in
(01:35:27):
shy Town. Also, the Titans took the lead over the
Broncos fourteen ten. Ryan apparently the same connection for the
second time for the Titans. That's right, yeah, on a
flee flicker, Nick Westbrook at keneggets wide open and it's
a huge touchdown there for the Titans. Just sixty three
yards on that score. So the Titans late at fourteen
and Tantannehill now fourteen and twenty seven seventy eight yards
(01:35:50):
two touchdown snow picks. Derrick Henry still only has thirty
five yards rushing in this game. I was gonna say,
just like everybody predicted, Bryan Tannehill has a big day,
Uh Westbrook a Kina two touchdown day, and Derrick Henry
held under fifty yards. So that's just that's just how
it's drawn up. When you think about the outcome of
this game, stop the presses. Steelers took the lead with
(01:36:11):
a field goal. That's right, thirteen ten. Now Steelers lead
the Saints twelve sixteen to go in a game that
really needs no explanation other than the fact that they're
continuing to play that game. Well, the Steelers have the
ball back and just got within the red zone. On
a big run from scrimmage. There you go, all of
a sudden, we have some offense going here. Warren. Uh
(01:36:33):
he uh, he just ran a little angle route, a
little crossing pattern in front of Pickett, and he finds
him and makes one tackler miss and gets it all
the way down to the seventeen yard line of New
Orleans Saints. Alright, so Steelers lead that game thirteen did
ten over the Saints eleven thirty to go in the
fourth quarter. There, Giants still lead the Texans twenty one
to ten inside the thirteen minute mark. Chiefs over the
(01:36:57):
Jags twenty seven and ten to Oh there. Uh, it's
amazing how this Lions Bears game slowed down all of
a sudden. Yeah, suddenly everybody is caught up to that game.
The one game that's going insanely slow is this Broncos
Titans game four. And happen is to go in the
third quarter and we just come to the fourth quarter
(01:37:17):
start of the fourth quarter, Bill still leading the Vikings
by a score of twenty seven to seventeen. Josh Allen,
all the questions going into this game about his physical
well being, uh, it is not reflected in his numbers.
He's been great. Nineteen fifteen yards, one touchdown, no picks. Uh,
and he also has forty six yards on the ground.
Let's hear that. Lions. Hold on a second, and you're
(01:37:41):
you're excited about this. Let you said, oh, we don't
have it. I thought you said we have no. No, no,
he said. Diggs had a huge one hand had an
incredible one handed catch. Alright, Jan replay. I'm I'm still
pulling these Lions. I want to hear that pick six
that tied up that game between the Bears and the line.
So Stefan Diggs doing this thing. This was a match
that we talked about earlier. Lot was played up about
(01:38:03):
this trade that was made a couple of years ago
when Stefon Diggs was traded to the Buffalo Bills. They
got a first round pick in exchange that they turned
into Justin Jefferson. It's one of those few trades where
you can say both teams came out on top. Yeah, no,
they absolutely did. Justin Jefferson arguably one of the best
receivers in the league right there with Stefon Diggs, and
both teams are having success getting the football to their stars.
(01:38:28):
In this game, Steelers now inside of the five yard
line on another Warren pass out of the backfield. He's
been really productive on this drive. Kenny Picket finds him
and so first down and goal situation to go for
the Pittsburgh Steelers, who lead thirteen ten over the Saints
in Pittsburgh. By the way, numbers, Stefan Diggs nine catches
(01:38:50):
ninety eight yards, Justin Jefferson five catches hundred five yards
and a touchdown. Dalvin Cook, who had done nothing in
this game, had an eighty one yard run. That's here.
It hand off Dalvin Room to the left side. He
scoots by a Bill at the most Dalvin Cook touchdown.
(01:39:14):
Eighty run yard touchdown run for Dalvin Cook. Hey, fam
Minneapolis and the Vikings radio network. So that's how the
Vikings got within ten. Bill still leading this game now
at the start of the fourth quarter, twenty seven and seventeen.
So Dalvin Cook, who had six carries for thirteen yards,
now has seven carries for ninety four yards. Yeah. Yeah,
And that's kind of back he is. He can break
(01:39:34):
it at any point. Well, you know, you look at
you know, backs like Derrick Henry, like Nick Chubb, like
Dalvin Cook, I mean they can flip a game around
in the matter of an instant, and you have an
explosive back and you have a capable offense around them,
good things will happen. Um. I think, of of the three,
the Tennessee Titans are obviously most dependent on Derrick Henry,
(01:39:57):
especially the way the Vikings have really highlighted the passing
game since Kevin O'Connell was taken over as head coach.
But still that run game sets up a lot of
what they do in the past, and Cook is going
to have his his moments and he made the most
of it. They're watching this Dolphins offense. Man, they're putting
on a clinic right now. After the Browns got within thirteen,
(01:40:18):
it's a Miami team on the drive again. They are
leading this game by score a thirty to seventeen. Let's
hear Tennessee's latest score. Gonna get Henry a turn. He
pitches it back to Ted Ahle. He throws deep right side.
There's West Cricket ten thirty five thirty twenty five, twenty fifteen,
ten five titles goodness ten g F one up four
(01:40:48):
point five Titans Radio Network. That is the score they
gave the Titans the lead. They lead fourteen to ten
right now, still three and a half minutes ago in
the third quarter. And in that game, I think Justin
Fields just rattled off a sixty yard rush for a
score on a QB keeper. So the Chicago Bears leave
lead thirty to twenty four in Chicago right now. That
(01:41:12):
was an incredible job. I mean, this guy gets into
open field, he makes safeties and corners, Uh take bad angles.
He is extremely fast. Well, how about these numbers for
Justin Fields in this game? By the way, is the
extra point good or bad? What happened here? I am
looking for an extra point? It was a good Let's
see here was good? The extra point in that game?
(01:41:35):
No good? No good? All right, so that's huge. Thirty
four Bears lead by six over the Lions. But Justin
Fields in this game eleven seventeen hundred sixty yards, two
touchdowns in a pick eleven carries a hundred and forty
one yards and two touchdowns. All of a sudden, you're
looking at three hundred one total yards and four total
(01:41:56):
touchdowns for Justin Fields over the last I don't know
what four to five games. He is finally hitting a
stride This is the Justin Fields Bears fans were hoping
for and really what a lot of people expected coming
after after his brilliant run at Ohio State. Yeah, it's uh,
it's pretty amazing what he's been able to do in
a short time. It just it's it's interesting when a
(01:42:19):
light all of a sudden goes on in the NFL,
because it's so rare that you see a guy it's
usually gradual thing, right, or it's very clear right out
the gates that a guy has the goods, Like we
saw Justin Herbert. He gets thrown into the action his
rookie season. It was supposed to be to Rod Taylor
starting a game against the reigning Super Bowl chance the
Kansas City Chiefs after their first Super Bowl victory with
(01:42:43):
Patrick Mahomes at the helm, and to Rod Taylor suffers
an injury to his lung because he was getting an
injection of numbing medication for sore ribs, and Justin Herbert
goes in there and balls out, takes them to overtime,
and it's immediately clear, like a he's a special talent.
Justin Herbert has looked bad. He's looked bad for his
(01:43:05):
entirety of his rookie career when given the opportunities and
so far this or I should say, up until point
this season, and then all of a sudden, I don't
know if it was the game plan completely being revised
or if suddenly he just started making connections that weren't there,
but he's looked like a completely different player. Alright, We're
suddenly getting a floory of scoring activity, which means it's
(01:43:29):
the perfect time to find out what is trending right
now as we welcome Monci back into the game. Right now.
A lot of things happening, A lot of things happening. Yeah,
the Steelers put a pep in their step in this
fourth quarter. They've scored ten points. So now they are
beating the Saints twenty to ten. Halfway through the fourth quarter.
The Giants have extended their lead over the Texans twenty
(01:43:50):
one to ten. They didn't miss an extra point ten
minutes to go in the fourth of that one. The
Dolphins have an all over the Browns this whole game.
I mean to a toga byloa twenty five of thirty
two passes, two hundred and eighty five yards, three touchdowns.
As the Dolphins are beating the Browns thirty three seventeen.
Halfway through the fourth and the Chiefs are up on
the Jaguars. No surprise on that one either. Twenty seven
(01:44:12):
to ten, nine minutes to go in the game. Patrick
Mahomes has completed thirty two passes for two hundred and
nine one yards and four touchdowns. The Titans took the
lead from the Broncos fourteen ten is a score on
that one. Kind of a boring game on this one,
but they're trying to put a little pep in their step.
Two three minutes to go in the third quarter and
the Lions and the Bears. This has been a fun
(01:44:32):
one back and forth, and the Bears are back on top.
Thirty to twenty four is a score. Nine minutes to
go in the game. The Bills beating the Vikings twenty
seven to seventeen. They just got going in the fourth quarter.
Josh Allen twenty two, two hundred and sixty one yards
and a touchdown. Even though he has a bad elbow,
he doesn't seem too shabby out there. No touchdowns for
(01:44:52):
Stefon Diggs, but ten carries, I'm sorry, ten receptions for
a hundred and fourteen yards, so not too shabby back
to you guys, and of course you guys already heard
the news. Yes, no, Matthew Stafford, no, Kyler Murray for
the Rams will be hosting the Cardinals in about an hour,
so Colts McCoy will start for Arizona and John Wolford
will start for l A g. Yeah, it's uh that
(01:45:15):
in that game just got uglier. Let's put it that way.
Rams three and five on the season, Cardinals three and six.
Somebody's got to win that game, all right. I don't know,
Maybe it's gonna end in one of those rare ties. Monsey,
thank you very much. All right, we got more highlights
rolling in justin fields. He'll keep the ball and there
he goes, just in the middle of the fring Gressi
in front of him, leading Lions on his way running
(01:45:37):
weft to the ten five end zone. Touchdown. How the
figgures play third down? You could possibly have dialed up? Yeah,
right there the Bears rolling w BBM News Radio seven
eight AM, one oh five point nine FM Bears Radio
Network extra point though, no good. So the Bears lead
(01:45:58):
the Lines thirty to two and a half minutes ago
in the fourth quarter in that game. Meanwhile, the Broncos
have the ball, trailing the Titans fourteen to ten. Uh,
they have a third and thirteen right now in their
own territory. Jags, Josh Challenge just threw an interception in
the end zone and the Vikings just ran it all
(01:46:19):
the way out to their own thirty five yard line.
And there's a Bill's offensive player down on the field.
Looks real, but that was a fourth down they went
for Josh Allen. Josh Allen is down on the ground,
face down, his trainers attending to him. Look at this.
He was looking for knocks in the end zone. The
ball gets knocked away. That was fourth and goal at
(01:46:41):
the two yard line. Excuse me, that was a fourth
and two at the Minnesota seven yard line. They went
for it. And the worst part of that is the
situation with Josh Allen. Yeah, I don't I don't know
if he was just discouraged from the interception or if
he's actually injured, but he is down on the turf
in Orchard Park. Alright. So the Bills leading in the
(01:47:02):
Vikings twenty seven is seventeen now, still plenty of time
in that game. Ten forty one to go in the
fourth quarter, and the Vikings get the ball back. Uh. Meanwhile,
the Broncos had a kick, so the Titans take over again,
leading the Broncos fourteen to ten fifty seconds to go
in the third quarter. In that game, the Dolphins ended
(01:47:24):
up settling for a field goal increase in their lead
over the Browns thirty three to seventeen to a twenty
five thirty five yards three touchdowns. Note pis Jeff Wilson
has ninety nine yards rushing in that game, but still
outside chance for the Bronze to get back in this one.
(01:47:46):
Giants taking care of business against the Texans. Texans just
haven't had much offense today. Neither have the Giants, by
the way, Giants leading this game by a score of
twenty one to ten. We're inside the ten minute mark
in the fourth quarter. Are let's hear the Steelers scoring again.
Pickett changes the play with ten on the hubble clock,
jet motion by Haywards, and it keeps it and it
(01:48:08):
gets to the gold one touchdown. Kenny pick it on
the sneak from one yard out and this crowds in
a frenzy w DV E one or two point five
FM Steelers radio network. So Steelers came in this game
with a record of two and six, trying to beat
a three and six Saints team. Right now, Steelers lead
this one twenty to ten. We're inside eight minutes to
(01:48:29):
go in the fourth quarter. Kenny Pickett seventeen nine two yards,
no touchdowns, no picks. Nazi Harris has eighty two yards
rushing in this game. Yeah, and it looks like Andy
Dalton may have fumbled a snap. Steelers got the ball
back on the ensuing offensive drive from the New Orleans Saints.
So yeah, it goes from bad to worse for the
(01:48:50):
Saints visiting Pittsburgh today today trailing by ten, but Pittsburgh
gets ball back with seven minutes forty four seconds left
in the fourth All right, right now again, the Browns
down thirty three to seventeen. On a fourth down, they
go for it, and Jacoby per said, gets swallowed a
lie by the Dolphins defense. Didn't have a chance that
(01:49:10):
seven minutes ago. That was a defensive team meeting at
the quarterback. That was fourth and seven, and you're doing
a drop back like they don't know you're gonna pass. Well,
I mean we got to do something. Of course, what
else do you do? There's gonna be something to get
rid of the ball. How about blocking the the defensive
(01:49:32):
lineman who are running a stunt to the right side.
I mean, listen, that's something that is done in high school.
You have garden tackle. Need to pass off that stunt.
They don't, and so Phillips and Ingram get to the
quarterback and that was just a mess. That was a
mess all the way. So Dolphins takeover. They got the lead,
they got this one in hand. Looks like Miami's gonna
improve to seven and three on the season. Uh As
(01:49:54):
after spotting the Browns an early touchdown, really have been
dominant in this game, leading by a score of thirty
three to seventeen. Meanwhile, the game between the Bears and
the Lions, the Bears have the ball back and they
have the lead thirty to twenty four. They're at there
on forty two yard line. It's been a great day
obviously for Justin Fields hundred sixty yards passing, two touchdowns
(01:50:15):
from rushing and two touchdowns. Where it is it? Miami
Dolphins just scored on the very next play. Jeff Wilson Jr.
With a rush off the left side, walks into the
end zone twenty yards to score So the score is
now thirty nine seventeen in South Beach. Jeff Wilson Jr.
By the way, having a big day. He's got a
hundred nineteen yards on the ground now plus the touchdown.
(01:50:39):
And this. I mean, you know, if if offensively you
looked at the last play from the Cleveland Browns and said,
who are you blocking? Um? The answer for the Miami
Dolphins on that run play was everybody was blocked. Everyone
was blocked in as you said, untouched. No one laid
a glove on. And Wilson scores. The extra point is missed.
That's no good. That is a hook job there in Miami.
(01:51:03):
So another miss extra point we had. We didn't have
many extra points miss last week. We're getting plenty today.
But that's not gonna matter. Miami dominating the Cleveland Browns
by score thirteen seven minutes ago in the fourth quarter.
Uh in that game? Um. By the way, I want
to ask you about another game coming up. We're talking
briefly about the Cardinals and the Rams. I mean, where
(01:51:25):
are the Rams right now? They are sitting at three
and five after that meltdown against Tampa last week. How
they blew that game is beyond me. Uh, Cardinals no
better at three and six right now? So this was
supposed to be you know, that dynamic division where you
had the Rams and the forty Niners and the Cardinals
and the Seahawks are supposedly taken the season well even
(01:51:47):
when they're lost today, the Seahawks still lead the NFC
West of the record of six and four. So, but
where are we with the Super Bowl champion Rams? No
Matthew Stafford today? Is he done? I mean I mean
when I say done in terms of being the Matthew
Stafford that we've seen throughout his career and obviously and
winning is Super Bowl. He hasn't seemed to be in
(01:52:10):
healthy all season long. The Rams offensive line is a mess,
the receiving corps has been inconsistent, the running games certainly
has been absent. Is this a fixable situation with the
Rams right now? Uh? Short answer no. Um. They need
to get much better in an area of the football
team that it's very difficult to improve in in season,
(01:52:30):
and that's offensive line, and injury and departures this offseason
have really affected them and Matthew Stafford. Look, one of
the parts of the story that people forget is how often.
He was sacked when he was a Detroit Lions quarterback. Uh.
Always a talented quarterback, always fought his tail off to
get wins where they could. But he was hit a lot.
And that's a pocket passer, and they don't like to
(01:52:53):
be hit a lot. He's not built for that life.
And so yeah, I mean the injuries are starting to mount,
not only up front on the offensive line, but obviously Stafford.
This has been a storyline since the preseason. And then
you look at the other side of this matchup. It
really is a battle for third place. But because do
we have any faith in either of these teams making
a turnaround? Well, one person does, Steve Time, general manager
(01:53:14):
for the Arizona Cardinals, how to quote this week saying
that he has full belief in Cliff Kingsbury and this
roster to turn this ship around and have a successful
season in Do you feel that way about the Arizona
Cardinals roster because I don't. By the way, another touchdown
for Jacksonville a little too late, but they're down twenty
(01:53:36):
seven seventeen. Second time Trevor Lawrence has found Christian Kirk
for a touchdown. This was nineteen yards. I meanwhile, let's
hear that Dolphins latest score ball. What a touchdown Dolphins
Radio Network extra point was missed. Miami leeds Cleveland to seven.
(01:53:56):
There was a lot happening on that call. All right,
a lot o they they're they're, they're almost losing their
voices because Miami scoring. So while we're looking at a
forty eight yard field goal attempt by the Steelers and
it is no good. So the Steelers still lead the
scenes by a score of twenty to ten. All right,
we're coming down the stretch. Which games are gonna give
(01:54:17):
us the most exciting finishes? We're gonna find out. Keep
it here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Steve
Hartman and a Rich Armburger. Welcome back to Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio live from the ti iraq dot com studios.
The Minnesota Vikings have made it a game, however, after
(01:54:39):
a touchdown made it twenty seven twenty three, a C. J.
Ham three yard run. I'm taking it that they went
for two. I did not see that no or the
extra pos another the extra point hit the upright, so
instead of a three point game, it's a four point game.
(01:55:00):
Speaking of miss extra points, we talked about the Bears
missing their extra point where that thirty lead over the Lions.
Will guess what happened? The Lions answer back Jamal Williams
on a one yard touchdown run. They made their extra points,
So now the Lions lead the Bears thirty one to thirty.
(01:55:21):
Do we have that takes the snap hands to Jamal?
Will you speeding again? Zone touch down? Detroit Lions w
x y T FM ninety one the Ticket Lions Radio Network.
So as great a game as Justin Fields has had
hundred forty seven yards rushing, hundred sixty passing, two touchdowns
through the air, two touchdowns on the ground. We're looking
(01:55:43):
at the Lions right now leading this game with too
sixteen to go in the fourth quarter. Yeah, I'll tell
you what. Dan Campbell's got the team just biting kneecaps
and dragging everyone out to deep water and drowning him.
You know, he's kicking ass with only three toes. He
had so many one liners during that Mart Knox preseason.
(01:56:05):
But I will say this, the Lions can score points.
The Lions defense can stop nobody. So this is the
reason why a lot of these games against Detroit end
up looking like this. I mean, if you bet overs.
I'm sure throughout the season in Detroit games, you'd be
a very rich person this year. By the way, speaking
(01:56:25):
of scoring defense, uh, the Los Angeles Chargers sitting at
five and three as they head into their game of
the forty Niners tonight. A year ago, they had the
twenty ninth ranks scoring defense in the NFL, and Brandon
Staley said, we need to make some changes. They did
a lot of changes in the off season. So last
year they were twenty ninth and scoring defense. This year
(01:56:47):
the scoring defense. Yeah. What's worse than that, though, is
the fact that they stopped no. One in the run game,
no one like Okay, so I'm pretty sure there's a
lot that number one picked Hillary. I'm pretty sure the
last in the league if I wasn't mistaken. Now they're
they're fourth from the bottom. So that's not a good
team to go against. The Christian McCaffrey showing last week
(01:57:08):
that yeah, he's gonna have a major impact on this offense.
They're giving up on average one hundred forty and a
hat per game. That's insane. They've given up two hundred
six times. I don't know, I honestly don't know. I'll
tell you the reason why. I'll tell you a reason why.
It's very simple. Justin Herbert. Yeah, Justin Herbert is so
(01:57:29):
good that I believe fully that he's saved Brandon Staley's job. Well,
think about it, No, Keenan Allen. Essentially the whole season,
Mike Williams been in out with injuries. Defense can't stop anyone,
third to last in the league and scoring defense, as
you mentioned, the worst rushing defense in the league, fourth
from the bottom in rushing deal. All right, so they're
not the worst, but I mean, I mean Brandon Staley
(01:57:51):
came in as a defensive guy and their defense has
been awful. And like you said, the only reason Brandon
Staley still has a job right now is Justin Herbert. Yeah,
I think that. I think it's been outstandingly disappointing seeing
what's happened. And also you've got to remember, like he's
part of the reason why they went out and got J. C. Jackson.
I'm sure too, you know, I mean that's not just
(01:58:12):
Tom talasco. He's working with his head coach. Also, hey,
what do you need, Well, we need a corner who
do you like? Well, we like that Jackson Khalil Mack
has been great for the Chargers. Yeah. Yeah, he's done
some really good things. But I mean, overall, is its
scheme or is it the is it the exes, exes
and os or is it the Johnny's and Joe's. And
they've got talent, There's no question you got talent around
(01:58:33):
this roster. And they've got wins. Let's let's face it,
their five and three football team right now. Um So
do we credit Brandon Staley for that for any you know,
for helping people keep their heads on straight, I don't know.
I I give a lot more credit to Justin Herbert Frankly. Alright,
So we have a defensive holding call on the Lions.
(01:58:54):
The Bears have the ball right now, one forty five
to go in the fourth quarter, Bears trailing Alliance by
a score of thirty one to thirty. This is a
big play for the Bears here to get the automatic
first down on the defensive hold. Keep this drive alive. Meanwhile,
the Bills have the ball back suddenly, leading twenty seven
to twenty three over the Vikings after that missed extra
(01:59:15):
point for the Vikings. Wow. Meanwhile, let's hear that Vikings
touchdown and they take the Jet give it to c
J in the end zone, touched down Vikings. That is
c J. Hamm's first rushing touchdown since twenty seventeen against
the Steelers. And looking here twenty three Buffalo, four and
(01:59:38):
a half minutes to go in the game, k FAM
Minneapolis and the Vikings Radio network. Unfortunately for the Vikings
it stayed twenty three with the miss extra points. So
the Bills have the ball three forty four to go
on the fourth quarter, trying to get enough first down
to run out this clock with that four point lead. Meanwhile,
we're keeping our eye on the Bears right now. They're
(02:00:00):
at their own thirty yard line. They have a second
and ten where at one to go on the fourth quarter.
One other game to keep an eye on right now,
rich the Titans and the Broncos. Still eight minutes to
go in that game. Titans hanging on to a fourteen
to ten lead. They have a third down at the
Denver thirty four yard line, and there was a fumble
on the play and Denver is signaling that they have
(02:00:21):
the football trailing by four, and it was Malik Willis
in the game at quarterback, and yeah, Denver comes up
with it. Wow. All right, we have a final score
right now. The Steelers have defeated the Saints by a
score of twenty to ten. Can you pick a hundred
nine nine yards passing no touchdowns? Nagyres ninety nine on
the ground. So the Steelers improved to three and six.
(02:00:44):
Saints fall to three and seven. Pittsburgh beats the Saints
by a score of twenty at ten. More updates on
some fantastic finishes. Keep it right here. This is Fox

(02:01:27):
Minnesota Vikings stayed alive. They had a fourth and eighteen
at the two minute warning. Is am I right Justin
Jefferson with a big catch. Yeah, he made a one
handed grab despite the defender having both of his hands
on it. Looking at this while thirty two yard reception
by Justin Jefferson on a fourth and eighteen, goodness, he's unbelievable.
(02:01:51):
He's the best receiver in this league. Bills leading the
Vikings by his score of twenty seven to twenty three,
and right now the Vikings are at the forty one
yard line. The only reason they're not down three was
a miss extra point That means they need to get
into the end zone. So that game going on right now.
Titans have the ball and the lead fourteen ten over
the Broncos. They're in their own territory, so plenty of time.
(02:02:14):
There's six and a half minutes to go, and the
Texans right now are not finished. They trail the Giants thirteen,
so it's still a one score game. Texans have the
ball at their own thirty five yard line to twenty two.
But let's keep it right here on this Bills of
Vikings game. Justin Jefferson mile month, So the Vikings are
(02:02:35):
at the seventeen yard line right now of the Bills
one eighteen to go in the fourth quarter, and right
now it is caught by Justin Jefferson at the goal line.
Three yard line, clocks moving right now, new fresh set
of downs, first and goal from the Buffalo three. Al Right,
Justin Jefferson in this game, well, he's unreal. He now
(02:02:58):
has over a hundred fifty yards receiving a touchdown reception
on seven catches. Yes, that's one point six yards to catch,
and this guy is getting hit. He's just he's the best.
This is the best receiving talent currently in the NFL.
By the way, he and uh Stefon Diggs, we talked
plenty about that. By the way, Digs had a big game,
take catches in fourteen yards. They came into this game
(02:03:21):
second and third in the league in receiving yards rich
and obviously both of him well over the hundred mark today.
Kirk Cousins, by the way, three or fifteen yards, one touchdown.
He's had a couple of picks, which is really why
Buffalo is still leading this game. But Buffalo seemingly in control.
They are up twenty seven and seventeen going into the
(02:03:42):
fourth quarter, but they're in trouble right now. First in
goal for the Vikings at the three yard line. And
look what happened that sapper he just tripp I think
he fell over backwards, he tripped d he lose his balance.
He took one step back and fell down. Yeah, you're right,
(02:04:06):
Yeah he just oh wow, Yeah that was bizarre. Did
his right guard step on his foot? His right guard
like it was like a yeah, his right guard stepped
on his foot. So yeah, this is uh, this is
one of the things that you're taught, especially at the
goal line, you cannot lose. And because that's exactly the
(02:04:27):
reason why. So right guard got blown back a little bit.
He stepped back, maybe only four inches, but it was
enough to stomp on Kirk Cousin's foot. And so its
second and goal from the four to from the six.
Al right, So the Vikings have one time out remaining,
So do the Bills right now one oh five to go,
a second and goal situation for the Vikings. Ball now
(02:04:48):
is back at the seven yard line. After that play,
Cousins throws to the end zone. Out of the end zone,
Jefferson is looking for a pass inference called that ball
was uncatchable. Yeah, he he did that on purpose, Like
you know, Cousins doesn't want to throw a pick there,
so he just sailed that one over. The Bills are
hanging on here, Rich, you know it, we'll look. You know,
(02:05:10):
first and goal at the three is now third and
goal at the seven. Yeah, Jefferson was held a little bit,
but you know what, they're gonna let that go. In
these situations, you don't want to call to end a game.
I would have given the Vikings a fresh set of
down at the three yard line instead, its third and
goal from the six. One minute left on the clock,
Vikings with only a single time out. You know, those
(02:05:30):
fans and Buffalo are making a lot of noise, so
exactly one minute to go in this game. Uh, the
time's really irrelevant right now. The Vikings need a touchdown
as simple as that. They're gonna have a third and goal.
And it was definitely no. I didn't think that was
a pass interference called not even close, but all was uncatchable.
I don't I like that non call al. I just
(02:05:51):
update it quickly. Here. Tennessee still has the ball right now.
They have a fourteen ten lead over the Broncos. Titans
now have the all third and seven at the Denver
seventeen yard line. So the Broncos, that's realily need to
hold him to a field goal. All right. Here we
go a third and goal from the seven yard line
for the Vikings, and the pass is caught, like Jefferson,
(02:06:14):
is that a touchdown? Crossing round over the middle, he
catches the ball, rolls into the end zone and justin
Jefferson plays hero on this drive. Okay, catches. I mean,
it's just I McDermott is screaming. He's thinking that's a
non catch. I mean, let's watch the replay now. So
(02:06:35):
he runs a low crossing pattern right at the goal line.
It's a low throw, that's a catch. That's a catch, yea.
And by the way, rolled over the top of the defenders,
so I don't think he was down by contact. There's
no ball was actually tipped at the line of scrimmage.
The ball never hit the ground. It's clearly a catch.
(02:06:55):
The question is is he down before the goal line?
But I think even where he it look I think
by the time he secured the catch, the balls crossing
the knees right there down at the one yard line. Yeah,
I think the balls down again. The Vikings had a
time out so they can stop the clock, but that
looks like he's short of the end zone. They don't
(02:07:16):
need to stop the clock because the play is called
rule the touchdown on the field. So the clocks studies
down that's short of the touchdown, the clock stops, they'll
review it, they'll say that he's down by contact at
the one yard line, and it'll be Vikings ball, fourth
and goal at the one yard line of the Bills,
and they'll have one last chance to win this football game.
(02:07:38):
Trailing or excuse me, yeah, still trailing in this game,
needing the score, all right. Meanwhile, the Giants have the
ball and the lead over the Texans two oh nine
to go in that game, so it looks like the
Giants firmly in control right now, ready to improve that
record is seven and two on the season. They actually
have a fourth and two at the Houston thirty one
(02:08:00):
yard line, so not quite over yet, but Giants pretty
much in control team. Meanwhile, Tennessee did get a field goal,
so the Broncos held him there. Rich Broncos will get
the ball inside three minutes to go on that game,
trailing the Titans by a score of seventeen to ten,
so it's now gonna be fourth and goal at the
one yard line. That's where we're at fourth and goal
(02:08:22):
at the one yard line for the Vikings. What do
you call here? Well, I mean, I sort of feel
like I want to throw the ball to Jefferson again,
but you're so close to the goal line, do you,
Russia Cook? Look like the Bills were off side to me? Yeah,
to me as well, that passes dropped. But but it's
off sides. There's the flag. There's the flag. Bills were
off sides. They were in the neutral zone, which, by
(02:08:44):
the way, we give them an automatic first down. Yep, yep,
so that that could now Now, if you're the Vikings,
you get the half yard line, I'm mean, but you
got fifty seconds left. The Bills have a time out.
You have a time out. You're not worried about your
time out. Did you get cute here and try to
run the clock down? You need a touchdown? I would
(02:09:04):
do you just get in the end zone? No? No, no, no, no,
with a fresh set of downs. So we used to
have a play called Rolex in New England with the
Patriots and if we were in this situation. Actually, oddly enough,
one time we were in Buffalo where we needed to
take time off the clock at then the football game,
and we ran two or three QB sneaks at the
goal line, and our intent was to stay out of
(02:09:27):
the end zone but not lose yard. Well, well, what
happened there? It was still fourth and goal because they
said it was half the distance to the goal line.
It was not an automatic first down. And on the
quarterback snake kirk Cousins has stopped. Wow, So the the
offside penalty was only half the distance to the goal,
So from the one to the half yard line, and
(02:09:49):
it was fourth and goal and kirk Cousins snuck the
ball and he comes up short. You gotta get in there.
What are they doing? Oh my gosh, that went absolutely nowhere.
He got stoned. Okay, now there there's gonna be second
guessing all over the place on this call. So they're
(02:10:09):
literally less than a half a yard away. Oh no, Yeah,
the point of the football was almost breaking the plane
when the center snapped the football, But because it was
half to distance the goal, it was still fourth and goal,
not an automatic first Controversy's gonna be is was his
forward progress stopped before he fell forward and broke the plane?
(02:10:30):
Because I'm looking out of side view right now from
this pylon cam, and it looks like Cousins before he
was down by contact. How's the ball over the plane
of the goal line. Well, that's a weird angle. That's
not an angle we're getting. He got to look at
an angle straight across the goal line. That's hard to tell.
Right there, shoulder his back, I guess he would be
(02:10:50):
down in the back of his shoulder hit the ground,
and then he sort of moved the ball up. I
mean they ran off the field like they didn't score. Wow.
So on a four and literally inches, Minnesota decides to
go to a quarterback sneak. Now it's still being reviewed
right now, seconds to go on the fourth quarter, but
(02:11:11):
it remains twenty three Buffalo. I don't know, man, you've
got Dalvin Cook. I mean, I'm looking. Well, here's the
crazy thing. By the way, Just just to catch everybody else,
Vikings players are they looking at the replay holding their
hands up in the air. So if this is rule
to touchdown, Vikings win, all right. If if if the
(02:11:33):
Bills have the ball on their own half yard line,
they can't just kneel on the football. They need to
get out of the end zone, because it'll be a
safety if you kneel on your own end zone. So
this game okay, So forty four seconds left, the Bills
took their final time out. The Vikings still have a
(02:11:53):
time out. They're still reviewing this touchdown or non touchdown
again twenty seven to the Bills off fences on the
field right now. They're standing there. The Vikings have nobody
on the field and they're looking at it and they're saying, nope,
first down, Buffalo, they're saying. The review of the play
(02:12:13):
says the Vikings are sup But I'm with you, Rich,
this game is far from over right now. So the
Vikings have one time out forty resetting the clock by
the way to forty nine seconds left. Um, but that
ball is literally at the one in line, so that's
where the Bills will take over first and ten. Her cousins, man,
(02:12:35):
I don't know about that call. He he really never
got out of the gate. All right, here comes the
play by the Bills. They're trying to maybe draw an
offside against the Vikings, and oh that might be a safety. Whoa, whoa,
what happened? Balls out? Balls outdown? Hold on there, Josh
Allen kept the ball on the sneak, he's in the
(02:12:58):
Oh my god, whoa touchdown? Vikings fumbled staff or Josh yeah,
fumbled staff. He's nowhere near it. So the ball comes
out Vikings unbelievable. So he dropped the snap and Kendricks
falls on in for the score. Defensive touchdown and the scores.
(02:13:24):
That is okay and again not over because even with
an extra point here, it's a three point game with
thirty seven seconds to do you go for two? Do
you go for to Josh Allen can get him? Field goal? Rang?
Do you go for the extra point? If they somehow
pully a type field goal? Final? Go over? Start watching
(02:13:46):
the center snap right now. Josh Allen never had his
hands on the ball. The ball went right to the ground.
It bounced off his hands. He had a hand on
it back or did this get pushed back? They never
had a cleanic She wasn't a clean exchange. Either the
center was short or Josh Allen wasn't in there deep enough.
Either way, that ball bounced off his top hand. Believable.
(02:14:09):
What just happened there? Wow, so you said it, I
mean this is far from over. I said, yeah, I
was expecting and if anything is safety but a fumbled
center quarterback exchange and a good job by the Vikings,
by the way they shifted at the last second they
had up front. By the way, can Ricks came over
the top and he literally lands on the ball like
(02:14:30):
he comes over the defensive line, and as he hits
the turf, the balls underneath him as he lands, and
so he just corralled it over the plane of the
end zone and that is good for six. Unbelievable finished.
Obviously they're reviewing this scoring play like the reward reviewed
the last scoring play. All right, so uh, let's well
(02:14:52):
watch this, uh and fold here. But that is just
like nothing I've ever seen before. Unbelievable. John McDermott, by
the way, is beside himself. Kevin O'Connell, head coach, on
the other camera. They have a split screen, just smiling
like the cheshire cat. And we will have a announcement
(02:15:15):
here in moments. Josh Allen distraught on the sideline looking
on because regardless of the outcome, I mean, he's responsible
for this. A quarterback, he'll wear a loss like this,
by the way, very quickly here Titans and Broncos, this
game is not over yet. The Broncos, trailing seventeen to ten,
have the ball at the Tennessee twenty one yard line
(02:15:37):
with forty eight seconds to go, So the Broncos need
a touchdown to tie this game. Russell Wilson's sideline passes
no good. Yeah, look like was that Sutton fell fell
down out of his break? So third and four coming
out for Denver right now, thirty eight seconds to go,
and the Broncos are at the twenty one yard line
of the Titans, trailing this game by a score of
seventeen to ten. All right, they're still reviewing this improbable
(02:16:01):
touchdown by the Minnesota Vikings. Uh, the replay seems pretty clear.
He dropped the ball in the end zone and Kendricks
flying over the top literally lands on the ball. They're
just trying to decide whether or not he recovered it.
I suppose in the end zone or prior to then zone.
That's the only thing that you could possibly be evaluating.
(02:16:22):
Heredown Kings. Minnesota Vikings lead by to now. Russell Wilson
just got sacked and fumbled the ball. Russell Wilson got hit,
he got sacked, he fumbled the ball. It looked like
the Titans had recovered and they are giving the ball
to no One. No, no, They're saying Vikings still have
(02:16:47):
the ball. Vikings now lead thirty extra point goods Buffalo.
After the kickoff, we'll have forty seconds and no time out. Meanwhile,
right now, that was weird and look like the Titans
had recovered the fumble. But they say Denver recovers the fumble.
So it's fourth down for the Broncos right now, twenty
six seconds to go. That was that was bizarre. I
(02:17:13):
didn't see how the Broncos recovered that ball. That they
get one more shot now. So I'm gonna say this,
here's the fumble Wilson and yeah, I mean the Titans
have it. They said the Viking bron was squirted out.
That's so strange. It looked like for sure. Yeah, it
looks like the Titans had recovered clear fumble and somehow
(02:17:33):
Russell Wilson was able to recover. Yeah. I think he
got it back. Yeah, so they have a fourth down
right now and there is very little time. Cousin fifteen
and Josh Allen couldn't have given you two worst examples
of how to QB sneak in consecutive place. So Kirk
Cousins gets stoned off of a poor attempt to get
(02:17:54):
the touchdown in the first place, and then Josh Allen
fumbles the stop at the half yard line. Alright, So
the Vikings kickoff right now, forty one seconds to play,
so still time. Bills are gonna return the ball and
they get a return up to nowhere twenty yard line. Alright,
so we're at thirty six seconds to go. They need
(02:18:15):
a field goal to send that game to over time.
They have review this play. It is still Broncos ball, alright,
So fourth and thirteen and the ball is at the
Tennessee thirty yard line and the Broncos are trying to
come up with the first down to extend this drive. Meanwhile,
the Broncos have no timeouts left, rich, so thirty seconds
(02:18:38):
anything in the middle of the field, even if they
get a first down, the clock will be running. Wilson
this game two eight six yards passing. By the way,
Dawson Knox gets a big gain on a first down
throw from Josh Allen gets out of bounds, and so
the Buffalo Bills are already approaching midfield. Ball set at
(02:18:59):
the Vikings thirty two yard line or no actually the
excuse me, the Bills thirty two yard line. There, kicker
Tyler Bass on the sideline warming up, all right, twenty
nine seconds to go in that game, we have thirty
eight seconds to go right now, thirty seconds to go,
So a fourth and thirteam for Denver right now. They
(02:19:19):
need a first down to keep their hopes alive. Meanwhile,
Buffalo a little short pass and it goes out of bounds,
so they're almost to the forty yard line, their own
forty yard line, twenty four seconds to go. Again, connects
with Knox all alone on the swing pass, gets it
out and now they are nearing the Buffalo logo. They
need to start covering the tight end otherwise they're gonna
(02:19:42):
be able to just nickle and dine them the way
down the field. Here we go fourth and thirteen and
it's going nowhere. That is it? Uh, it's it is over.
And there's a penalty flag on the field though in
this game between the Titans and the Broncos, and it
was offside again Tennessee. So that game is not over. No,
(02:20:04):
it's not. Sam stop playing the Sounders, So it's not over.
Not over. That will make it a fourth and eight
for the Broncos with twenty seconds to play. Okay, we
got two games. We're going over time with our coverage
and try to get you down of the finish in
these two games. So the Bills right now have a
second and two from their own forty yard line. They
(02:20:25):
have no timeouts. It is twenty four seconds to play,
and you figured they still need to get with the wind.
Look at the wind blowing right now. Yeah, well, at
least it's blowing towards the net, so you have the
opportunity to kick a much longer field goal. Tyler bass
career long is good from fifty eight. All right, here
(02:20:45):
comes that fourth and eight played for the Broncos. Russell
Wilson is scrambling, he throws and it is intercepted by
the Tights, and that's gonna do it. So we canna
lay that game to rest. Hang on a second, though,
I don't any hang on a second. He intercepted it
and took a knee at the one yard line, but
it wasn't the half yard hang on, So again, the
Tennessee Titans can't take a knee, and they don't. We
(02:21:12):
just witnessed this. I know a Here we go the
Bills first down and they get the look at this
and they get the ball out of Bills. The Vikings defense,
what are they do? By the way, it's the same
route to the same side of the field three times
in a row. Now Knox has caught a fifteen yard pass,
(02:21:33):
then an eight yard pass, and now they threw it
out to their back and they got another fifteen yard No,
I guess it was after the game Davis catch. What's
that a catch? It was? So this was an incredible drive.
On four plays, they have gotten down to the Vikings
what five yard line? Yeah, they're at the twenty five
yard line. Eleven seconds to play. They gotta be careful
(02:21:53):
because they don't have any timeouts right now, so whatever
play they make has got to get out of bounds.
Josh Allen throws to the sideline and he throws it
away and they call a penalty against the Vikings. Seconds left.
Now again, there's five seconds left. It's not in the
(02:22:13):
end zone. It's a five seconds left. Now you're gonna
take a chance on another play with no time out,
You're just gonna kick the field goal. But you kick
the field goal, but you're you're that much closer. I
understand that it's an automatic, do you? Uh? Yeah, you
have to defense absolute embarrassment on this drive. Are you
kidding me? Are you kidding me? Why would you put
(02:22:33):
your hands on him? Oh no, what a mess. Meanwhile,
it comes back to a controversial catch by the Bills.
I think he caught this. Look at where his handball
is fumbled. That is that's loose, and they let it fly.
That ball was loose. That should never been a catch.
But they ran another play before they could review it,
(02:22:55):
and the Bills get away with it. Now, with five
seconds to go, they have a twenty nine yard loogal
attempt to send this game into overtime. The kick is good. Okay,
so the Bill's got away with the one. We're going overtime.
All right, keep it right here. We're not done yet.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox
(02:23:18):
Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place that you
may have missed. And Davis was behind Allen and he
tried to push him. He didn't get out of there,
he didn't get out. He just dushed it out. That's
the safety. Give it to us, yes, yes, drop that
(02:23:38):
full Josh Allen bulk boos. Now back live to the
studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. Wow.
All right, So that was k FAM Minneapolis and the
Vikings radio network. After recovering the ball in the end zone,
(02:23:59):
you heard them saying the Vikings are gonna win. Not
so fast. Yard attempt snap is down, Tyler Bass kick
is up and it is good and this game is
tied up. There are two seconds left. We're all tied
up at thirty. Can you believe it? What a finish
to an amazing game, un alievable game. W g R
five fifty Bills Radio Network. So we're in overtime right now.
(02:24:21):
Vikings have the ball first tied at thirty. Vikings got
a break, well, they got a break with a fumble
in the end zone to recover, and then the Bill's
got a break when a drop pass, a ball that
clearly had hit the ground was ruled to catch and
it put the Bills in a position eventually get that
tying field goal. By the way, Welcome to the Fox

you just see Kirk Cousins throw there? So after Dalvin
(02:25:04):
Cook gets about nine yards on the carrie galloping through
the Bill's defense, kirk Cousins, under pressure, knowing he's about
to absolutely get hammered in the pocket, throws, turns his back,
takes a huge hit, gets it out to his leading
receiver on the day, Justin Jefferson, who made a toe
tap and catch on the left sideline. Unbelievable effort by
(02:25:25):
Kirk Cousins to hang in the pocket and deliver the
strike and another great catch by Justin Jefferson is ridiculous
by the way illegal procedure moves him back. Let's find
out what's trending right now. We haven't forgotten about Mincy.
It's been a crazy Sunday here in the NFL. Yeah,
I know that was nuts. Everything that just happened with
the Bills and the Vikings, I've paid attention to nothing else.
(02:25:47):
I just was watching that. I couldn't believe what was
unraveling before my eyes and listening to you guys was
even better because you guys are just describing it and
you were so into it. I loved it. It was
not it was nuts. It was I couldn't believe it.
I was like, did that really just happened? Was that
a safety? I'm so confused that it was nuts? Nuts?
And now overtime, Vikings and Bill still tied at thirty.
(02:26:11):
Right now, the Colts have scored first against the Raiders.
Matt Ryan is in the game for the Colts. He's
completed five of six passes for sixty one yards, and
the Colts the Cults are up on the Raiders seven zero. Uh,
the extra point was good, So all that is good.
Three minutes ago in the first quarter, the Cowboys and
the Packers are scoreless. They just got going. And the
Cardinals and the Rams are also scoreless. They just got
(02:26:31):
going as well. A recap of the games that have
already happened. The Lions held on to beat the Bears
thirty one to thirty. We should mention that the Bears
missed an extra point in that game that probably, like
Ridge said, was gonna hurt them, and it did. The
Lions won by one point. The Titans beat the Broncos
seventeen to ten. The Chiefs outscored the Jaguars twenty seven seventeen,
Patrick Mahomes three hundred and thirty one yards four touchdowns.
(02:26:55):
The Dolphins dominated the Browns thirty seventeen to a Toga
Bloa two and eighty five yards three touchdowns. The Giants
beat the Texans to sixteen. Say Kwan bark beat thirty
five carries a hundred and fifty two yards and a touchdown.
And the Steelers beat the Saints twenty to ten, holding
the Saints to zero points in the second half. They
were tied at ten going into a half time and
(02:27:15):
then it was all Steelers in the second half and
the game. In Germany, the Buccaneers beat the Seahawks twenty
one to sixteen. We had I wanted to see what
Tom Brady threw. Oh, he didn't throw for fifty this time, guys.
Normally he's throwing like fifty. No, he only through twenty nine,
completed twenty nine two and fifty eight yards, two touchdowns
and an interception. But the Bucks came out on top
(02:27:37):
of the Seahawks sixteen. In Germany. Back to you, guys,
mon unbelievable job is always great, Thank you very much.
All right, So thirty all right now, Viking some Bills
seven half minutes to go, by the way, watching justin Jefferson,
he basically got them to throw a pass interference call
on a play. If you watch him, he put his
hands on the defender and then fell back words like
(02:28:00):
a flop and the flags were flying. So now the
Vikings have the ball at the twenty six yard line,
first and ten. Once again, we're live from the ti
iraq dot com studios. Passed to the sideline is incomplete.
Three other games underway right now. You heard Mancy Sake
Colts get off to the early seven nothing late Jeff's
Saturday on the sidelines as the Colts new head coach,
(02:28:22):
Colts scoring on that drive. Cowboys, Packers, Cardinals Rams just underway.
No score in both of those games. Nice little rault concept,
uh to get a Vikings receiver open did not work.
The Bills were not fooled and that ball falls incomplete.
So we're looking at a second and tent from the
Bills twenty six yard line. Vikings able to advance the
(02:28:44):
football on the efforts to Dalvin Cook from scrimmage rushing
the ball and also, like you said, Justin Jefferson, beautiful
catch earlier and the called past interference against the defense.
All right, So Dalvin Cook who most of his yardage
was on one eight one yard touchdown run. He has
twelve carries for hundred twenty two yards in this game.
Kirk Cousins thirty three yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, Justin
(02:29:09):
Jefferson nine catches, hundred sixty nine yards and a score.
Uh so again, a Vikings touchdown will end this game,
a field goal and the Bills will have a chance
to match or win the game. Yeah, yeah, it's um
It's a game where if you're just tuning in, it
has been topsy turvy. Vikings had an opportunity to score
(02:29:31):
and take the lead on the Bills, but before they
could got stuffed at the half yard line. Bills took
over after a failed attempt of the Vikings to convert
a touchdown on a QB sneak. Turnover on downs leads
to the Bills needing to QB sneak their way out
of the end zone. Josh Allen fumbles, Kendricks falls on
(02:29:51):
it touchdown, Vikings, Bills get back into field goal range,
kicked the field goal to tie the ball game, we
go to O T and that's where we stand right now.
In Vikings first drive from scrimmage and one controversial. The
Bills had no timeouts on that final drive, and there
was a catch that upon review, was not a catch,
but they'd already snapped the next plays and trapped the
(02:30:12):
football against the turf, but they didn't catch it in time.
And that's the reason why you have those hurry up plays.
You just get the next playoff before they have a
chance to look at it. So that's where we stand
right now. But the Vikings are in great shape. They
have a third and ten right now, and uh they
are at least in field goal range at the twenty
seven yard line of the Buffalo Bills. And let's see
(02:30:37):
what happens here with Kirk Cousins. He's gonna throw the
ball toward the end zone and Jefferson that is just
another sideline grab, this time in double coverage that justin
Jefferson comes up. I get is too good this pass.
It's a great pass by the way by Cousins, perfect coverage. Yeah,
(02:30:58):
there's nothing you can do. There's you can't cut. Jackson
was step first step with Jefferson a little bit of
a back shoulder, and Kirk Cousins placed it exactly the
only spot where they're down to the one two yard line.
One yard line. So now the Vikings about inside the
two yard line now are in prime position to put
this game away and we finally end this game. It's
(02:31:20):
gonna find out right now, first and goal for the
Vikings there at the two yard line. They're gonna run
the ball and three yards on that play. Now it's
back to the five yard line. Great job by Milano
getting through and getting securing the tackle on Dalvin Cook,
who's doing nothing but breaking tackles so far in over time. Alright,
(02:31:40):
so now it's second goal of the five yard line.
This is reminiscent of what happened to the Vikings at
the end of regulation where they just they seemingly were
in a position to win the game and then on
fourth and inches, quarterback Snake went nowhere. So second a
goal now from the five US three yards on that
sneak get from here is the question? No, no more sneaks. Well,
(02:32:03):
right now we got an empty backfield, so you gonna
throw the ball here? Actually, cooks now and they motioned
him back in but looking for Cooks. Oh, we sacked
Kirk Cousins had sacked back to the twelve yard line.
On consecutive plays, the Vikings lose yardage. Their goal on
offense is so despicable today, I didn't even know what
to say about at Oliver just broked right through and
(02:32:26):
just absolutely pushed everyone through. A double team. Could have
been a hold on that playing call it. I can
tell you one guy who doesn't like that. Wow. Wow.
So and all of a sudden we went from first
and goal at the two yard line to third and
goal at the twelve yard line. Well, I was not
(02:32:48):
wherever number eighteen is. Actually at the fifteen yard line
is where they marked the ball, and so the passes
to the end zone and it's to nobody. Yeah that was.
In fact, the Bills are looking around like who the
hell was and Kevin O'Connell I can read his lips. Yeah,
he said something that started with an F and ended
with a K. Yeah, so they're gonna have to settle
(02:33:09):
for a field goal here at the fifteen yard line.
It's not even a gimme anymore. Wow, that was. You
got a lot of bad sequence of place. They're looking
at Kirk Cousins like, dude, where was that pass? What
do you think? He said? Was that fleck? He said,
you know, I found that somebody open. It was open
because there was nobody there. He said, fork, I need
(02:33:29):
a fork. So this field goal attempt is the equivalent
of an extra point thirty three yards and the field
goal attempt is good. So the Vikings take the lead
thirty three thirty Now there's only three forty two to
go in overtime. What's gonna happen the rest of this game?
Find out keep it here. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've
(02:33:55):
got the place that you may ad miss. Snap Joseph Yes,
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. All right. That was
(02:34:18):
kay Fan Minneapolis and the Vikings radio network. The Vikings
taken the thirty three to thirty lead, but it's not
over yet and over time and the Bills are getting
ever so close to try to pull this game out
over Minnesota. Welcome back to Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
We are live from the ti iraq dot Com studios.
(02:34:38):
So the Bills have the ball right now, second and
ten and the Vikings twenty yard line. To say the
Vikings defensive scheme has been poor on this drive would
be an understatement. Pass My god, that's that's him. Over
came over and Patrick Peterson ices, the game comes up
with the interception at the old line. Josh Allen overtime interception,
(02:35:04):
and the Vikings have won this ball game. I'm trying
to figure out the last play right now, because again,
I know the Bills aren't going to play for a tie.
Obviously they want to win this game. But Josh Allen,
he's got plenty of time and he just threw a
bad pass just nowhere I mean nowhere near his receiver,
(02:35:26):
but it was behind them, sad right into Peterson's hands.
He was looking for Gabe Davis over the middle. I
don't know if he saw. I don't know what Underson,
I don't know if, but that was a low throw
it was behind his receiver. Let's let's talk reality. The
Vikings are eight and one, The Vikings are now eight
(02:35:47):
and one, and the Bills have lost two in a row.
That's their first home loss of the season. So right
now in the a f C East, the Miami Dolphins
are in first place. We have a seven and three record,
the Bills fall to six and read Jets off this week,
or six and three Patriots off this week, or five
and four. So right now, the Miami Dolphins are in
first place in the a f C East. By the way,
(02:36:09):
you got to thank the guys today. I mean, Iowa, Sam,
are you kidding me? What a day? What a day? Unbelievable,
Like it's like we just got started and here we
are morning games finally poop. Yeah, I think I'm gonna
have a our. Plus they're pretty INTUS plus has definitely
been pretty I either need a cigarette or a shower.
(02:36:31):
That was rough Man doing a phenomenal job keeping us
updated on everything going on. And of course Ryan, Uh,
I don't know what to say. Ryan, it's tough man.
We came in today with a few minor technical difficulties
as far as which games to watch. It seemed like
(02:36:51):
we got to see all the best games. We did.
We did, we persevered, we spared. Uh wow, how could
we have gotten through this without you? Ryan? So the
Vikings are Vikings are eight in one now. They just
want they were big dogs in this game. We can
stop guessing as to whether or not the Vikings are real.
(02:37:13):
That was a big boy win and it wasn't pretty
and uh and yeah, Kevin Uh, Kevin O'Connell has done
such an incredible job in a very short amount of time.
Hired in December of last year, and he's got the
Vikings really believing in themselves. And these are games that
Kirk Cousins loses for you, and they found a way
(02:37:33):
to avoid that, and they improved to an eight in
one record. By the way, that's their fifth win of
their eight wins in which they have come from behind
within the last two and a half minutes of regulation.
That's five out of eight games. So the Vikings are
finding ways to win games, none bigger than this one,
by the way, Jefferson today UH ten catches a hundred
and ninety three yards and a score. Stefon Diggs on
(02:37:56):
the other side, at twelve catches hundred twenty eight yards.
So the big hype those two UH receivers definitely lived
up to it. All right, we're we only have a
few minutes left for us here, a lot of action
going on right now. The Colts still leading in the
Raiders by a score of seven and nothing. This, of course,
is jeff Saturday's debut as the head coach. He started
the game without a headset, finally found one, uh and
(02:38:19):
put it on. Matt Ryan is responding, well, he's nine
of eleven passing so far for nineties six yards. Meanwhile,
how would you like to hear this? Derek Carr's stad
you ready for this? For Derek carry? How about oh
for five passing? He hasn't completed a pass yet and
we're already into the second quarter. Here's that Josh McDaniel's
passing offense working for you. Here's the bizarre situation that
(02:38:41):
Mark Davis has has been faced with. Now, if if
they lose and say this as a blowout, say they
get embarrassed by the Colts, what do you do about
your head coach? I mean, you know Mark Davis obviously
now in back to back years, or I shouldn't say
back to back years, because Gruden had a longer tenure
than a but he got it wrong with Cruden and
(02:39:02):
obviously the resignation following the release of those emails and
all that. If you get it wrong with McDaniels, are
willing to admit that at this point in the season,
or do you let him continue on Rich, we have
to go in the first half. They have zero yards passing,
they have five total yards, and they're not exactly playing
a juggernaut in the Indianapolis Colts. Yeah, the Colts a
(02:39:25):
week ago looked like they couldn't get out of their
own way, let alone beat anybody on the road. So
this is, um, this is this is as bad of
a start as you could have hoped for if you're
a Vegas fan. Meanwhile, Rams Cardinals, the much anticipated showdown
between John Wolford and Colt McCoy, can really Colt McCoy
still in the league. Um, no score, No three three
(02:39:45):
is a score. The game that has no score right now,
and we're just coming to the end of the first quarter.
Is the Cowboys and the Packers. Aaron Rodgers in the
first quarter two or four, twelve yards? Yeah, how about
that passing? Well, I mean it's look at I mean,
to be perfectly frank with you, both the Raiders and
the Packers are off to about the same start. Packers
(02:40:09):
are three and six. They are dogs. Not that Dak
Prescott's doing much in this game. He's three or seven
for thirty one yards. Cowboys don't how much offense Greenbay
has no offense. Actually, they have a running game, but
their passing game has completely disintegrated with a quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
That is in the conversation of the best to ever played.
Davante Adams, by the way, he's been targeted. One time
(02:40:31):
he came off a week and he said, if I
am here to be a decoy, I don't want any
part of this, right yeah, And uh, let's face it.
He disappeared in the second half and has in a
couple of games where it's like, well, if it's working early,
why not, why why can't it work late? Davante Adams,
he was traded to be the star of this offense.
He's been anything, but he's got nice weeks. But he
(02:40:54):
had nice first half last week, and then they abandoned
him and they decided to try a running game and
they blew the game. I don't understand his usage. I
don't understand this offense. Alright, Uh, this is one thing
we do understand. A lot. More NFL coverage coming up
here on Fox Sports Radio.
