Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Radio leave the dream once again here on a fully
loaded sports Saturday. This is Fox Sports Saturday. Yes, we
are reunited. Steve Harbin and Anita Marks with you here
from the Fox Sports Radio studios. It's been a while, Anita,
but you know we sit. Here's the thing about Anita.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
And I'm so excited to get.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Back on with you, Anita, because she's always busy. She's
got a hundred things going on. By the way, she's
gonna supply some picks for you. We got craziness going
right now, March madness. We got conference finals today, conference
tournament finals, semi finals, conference finals tomorrow, and of course
tomorrow's selection Sunday. We got the World Baseball Classic going on,

(00:47):
and we got an overload of NFL news to catch
up on. So Anita, how you doing.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
I'm great. I'm doing well. You know, like the winter
is finally gone here in New York. So it's beautiful,
about forty forty five degrees, beautiful blue skies, no snow
on the ground. Probably we'll play some pick a ball
when we're done. You know, listen, living the dream, Live
in the dream.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
That is what we do in it.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
By the way, here in so cal it is going
to be reportedly the hottest March ever. We are talking
about weather that is so hot coming up warming.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
What Yeah, exactly. Oh, it's funny.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
It's funny because it well it's funny because they were weird.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I was doing my TV last night and our weather
person was saying that this is going to be the
hottest we've had since nineteen eighty eight, and I'm like, okay,
well I was here in nineteen eighty eight, and I
don't remember.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Anything other than wow, it's really hot.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
What are you doing out of curiosity?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Nineteen eighty eight was my last year working for the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
That was my four and a half year run as
the media relations director of the l A Raiders. In fact,
my last game that I worked. They were stunned when
I made an announcement that I was going to be
leaving the Raiders, like, no one.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Who was the head coach at that time? Who was
head coach?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Okay, so this is uh you want to hear show
I date myself here for a second.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
I'll date myself as well. I graduated high school in
eighty eight.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Okay, well, you know, well, I'm twelve years before you
on that one, So I got plenty of time before you.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
So anyway, I turned thirty in nineteen eighty eight.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
But in nineteen when I first joined the Raiders in
eighty four, they were coming off their big, smashing Super
Bowl victory over the Redskins and was their third Super
Bowl title in eight years, first l eighteen to win
a Super Bowl, and they promised me that I would
get many rings, and they haven't won one since.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
That's what we call the Hartman curse.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
And so anyway, so Tom Flores obviously was the coach
of the Raiders when I first got there, But in
nineteen eighty eight, Flores left on his own and we
brought in a thirty five year old quarterback coach from
the Denver Broncos by the name of Mike Shanahan. And
so I am introducing I am running the press conference

(03:10):
to introduce our new thirty five year old coach, and
he introduces me to his eight year old son, Kyle.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
I was just gonna say it was Kyle and diapers.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Eight years old?

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Was Kyle baby City Christian Miccaffrey.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
At that time, it was it was unbelievable how about
this Howie Long. You know, his two oldest sons, Chris
and Kyle Bolth, played in the NFL. I actually I
was actually holding Chris Long as a baby when he
was born.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
I couldn't hold him anymore.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Really, like you really are dating yourself.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I really am dating myself.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Maybe maybe we should, maybe we should move on.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
So anyway, yes, I met Kyle Shanahan when he was
eight years old. That anyway, The bottom line here is
is that we got a lot of craziness around the NFL,
and I really want to start with that right now.
I need because we have you know, I mean, quarterbacks
are always and people say, well, you talk about quarterbacks
at nauseum.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
There's a reason there.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
There's no bigger position in any sport than quarterback.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Quarterback, Yes, I mean, you just have. It's so much.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Not only do they have to run their offense, essentially
become the face of your franchise.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
And if you have a.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Successful quarterback, then you're basically perceived as a successful organization.
And if you're failing to find that quarterback, then you
are a failed organization. So yeah, a lot rides on quarterback.
But let's start with the two guys that we knew
were going to change teams. That would be Kyler Murray

(04:43):
leaving Arizona and to a Tongua Bylaw leaving Miami. Both
were really the right guys or teams that didn't have
a lot of cap space because they would only cast
you the league men of one point three million because
their former teams would pay the rest of their salaries.
So I'm want to ask you top right now, who
gets a better deal on a personal level and then

(05:04):
from a team level Tua going to Atlanta and Kyler
going to Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Well, okay, let's start. Let's start with Tua right like
never and just you know, I just want to be
totally transparent from Miami from the three zero five. Grew
up a huge Dolphins fan, was never sold on Tua.
Thought it was the wrong decision, felt like the organization
really dropped the ball by not drafting Justin Herbert over Tua.

(05:31):
So have never been a part of the Tua fan club,
So no surprise that he is no longer in Miami.
Reports are that he's going to Atlanta to compete, quote
unquote compete with Pennick Junior, who probably is not going
to be ready to go at the start of the
season because of his injury, So Tua will probably start
with the Atlanta Falcons. I think they'll be good. I

(05:53):
don't think that they will be great. I really like
the situation for Murray Kyler Murray in Minnesota. I think
he's got a lot more weapons to work with. I
love his head coach. I like his offensive line. He's
got a solid defense. He's playing in a dome the
majority of the time. And just as I'm not, I
was not sold onto him, never sold on JJ McCarthy.

(06:16):
Great what he did with Michigan. They ran the ball
a lot. He's more of a of a captain, checked
down quarterback. He's not going to put a team on
his shoulder pads and win it for you. And and
I'm not saying that Murray is the end all be all,
but I do believe that Murray is a better quarterback.
I think the Vikings can get uber creative with him offensively.

(06:38):
He's got a lot more weapons that he's working with
in Minnesota than he was in Arizona. And not that
Arizona has bad weather, I'm not saying that, but there
is something about a little men who play in the
dome who don't have to worry about weather conditions the
majority of the time because typically little men have little hands,
and little hands don't do well in bad weather conditions

(07:01):
on a football. So I think this is I think
this is a really good spot for him. If he
could stop playing video games and watch more game film,
I think that will help him out tremendously. But needless
to say, to answer your question, very long winded. Sorry,
not sorry, I think Murray got the better deal here.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Well, I think both teams actually made very smart moves
here because you talk about this amazing quarterback class we
have from a couple of years ago, six quarterbacks taken
in the first twelve picks, and four of them have
already proven it. I mean four of them have already
gone to the playoffs. So you know, Jad and Daniels
obviously had a phenomenal rookie season, had some injuries. I'm
hoping for his sake he can bounce back and we

(07:40):
can see some of what we saw in his fabulous
rookie season, and of course breakout years for Caleb Williams
and Drake May and Bo Nix is two for two
as far as making the playoffs, unfortunate an injury for
him obviously in this past postseason, and then you got
the Michael Pennock situation, who could never stay healthy when
he was Indiana, had a great two year at Washington,
and all of a sudden, now injuries are back, and

(08:03):
the whole JJ McCarthy situation. Look, Kevin O'Connell has an
offense with some of the elite wide receivers in the league.
How is it possible when you think about Minnesota with
that great defense that they have and the elite receivers they.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Had, they were twenty ninth in the league in passing offense.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
JJ McCarthy cannot execute the offense that Kevin O'Connell wants. Now,
I will say this, and you brought up a great
point about Kyler Murray and all the reports that he
really is one of those I sort of fly by
the seat of my pants.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
I'm not a real film guy.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
You're gonna have to be with Kevin O'Connell because they
are looking for an answer. They have too good of
a defense, too much talent on that team to waste
it on a passing game that cannot execute. And Kyler
Murray certainly is capable of executing an offense, but he's
gonna have to get on the same page with Kevin O'Connell.
But that raises the question, now though, what if because

(08:57):
both Murray and Too are on one year deals, what
if they have breakout seasons? I mean, do you just
give up on what were top picks? I mean, both
of these guys were what top ten picks in the draft?
Do you give up on them to keep them around?

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Eventually?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Those rookie contracts are coming up, and so that's sort
of the dilemma, and you know, what kind of money
are we looking at? I If Kyler Murray or to
a tongue of Ailoa has a big season, are they
back in the mix for you know, forty to fifty
sixty million dollars a year. So this is the tricky
part for both Atlanta and Minnesota and signing these quarterbacks

(09:34):
because what happens if they're actually good? What do you
do with your rookie from a couple of years ago?
And how much money are you going to commit down
the road for these two guys.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Yeah, listen, let's let's rewind in regard to you know,
Arizona and they pivoted immediately. Was it Josh Josh Rosen Rosen. Yeah,
they went out, they drafted Josh Rosen, by the way,
and then.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Quick Starr on that on Josh Rosen because I knew
somebody played for the Cardinals obviously, you know, I was
on one to Uclaam a UCLA guy. But what the
hell happened here? I mean, I've been watching Josh Rosen
since high school.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
I heard silverspoon. I heard silverspoon.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
They said it was more than that. They said he
could not read defenses, like basic reads. Like you were, like,
I go, he's a smart guy. I mean, they go
football IQ Crater, like they could not believe his inability
to read defenses, which is so vital obviously when you're

(10:34):
playing quarterback at the NFL level. And that's why after
one year they were able to snake a second round
pick from Miami to dump them off and they like
found out the exact same thing. All right, continue on.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
So yeah, I mean, so I just I share that
story just to say, and I want to say it
was Steve Kime, right, Steve Khime, who was the general
manager at the time, And like, I commend a general
manager and I commend a team for doing that because
I don't think fans realize. A lot of times a
general manager will make a decision on a player and
like they will hitch their wagon to that player and

(11:07):
they will they will ride that player to the death,
and usually it is a death right where I'm like,
I like, you know, don't cut off your nose despite
your face. See the forest for the trees, like if
you like, we are all human. We make mistakes. And
I commend general managers who are like, oh, snap, you

(11:28):
know what I screwed up. I've got a pivot. And
that's exactly what Arizona did. So I think, in essence,
I think the Vikings by bringing in Murray, I think
they're kind of alluding to the fact that they made
a missay. And not only do they, in my opinion, Steve,
not only did they make a mistake in drafting JJ McCarthy.
You let the Super Bowl quarterback go?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, I mean you had.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Sam Donald in the building, and listen, I'm not saying
Sam Donald is the end all be all. Sam Donald
won a Super Bowl because he played for a team
that had a phenomenal defense and also an offense that
worked to his skill set, and a lot of times
that's what you need in the NFL in order to
be successful, and I felt the Vikings did that for Sam,
but they let them go, so you know, I just

(12:12):
you know, we'll see what happens again. I'm higher on
Murray than I am on Tua. If I had to
wager that one of these quarterbacks is going to have
a better stat line, is going to win more games
for their team or their franchise, I would put my
money on Murray. But only time will tell.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Well, I mean, bottom line is, the Vikings are a
better team than the Falcons, although the Falcons do play
in a weaker division.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
All Right, we have a lot of NFL news we're
going to get to.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
There's still a lot of available free agents, plus what
the heck happened with the Max Crosby deal to the Ravens.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
We'll get all to that boy.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
But in the meantime, I also want to mix him
because we have a need to hear some of her picks.
We got basketball galore today, how about the big Saint
John's Yukon matchup? A little bit later on what's going
to happen with the conference finals. She's got some of
her picks and we'll get into some of our predictions
on what to expect on Selection Sunday.

Steve Harbin, Anita Marks here, Fox Sports Saturday. Essentially, we're

We both did some fill and work at a five
seven e LA Sports, the Fox Sports radio affiliate in
Los Angeles.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
I think he's.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Doing Anita some dad duty today. I think there's a

(14:58):
Hit that thumbs up icon and common away. Let us
know whose takes you like, even those you don't like.
Just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube and subscribe. All right,
we'll have more NFL news a little bit later on,
but I want to get into the precursor here to
March Madness, and you know I need for many people
are like, all right, we're at sixty eight schools on

(15:22):
the men's side. As far as the nca tournament, is concerned,
and there's even been people saying, well, we should go bigger,
and I like, why bigger? You already have the conference tournaments.
Understand this, there are very few exceptions. Most conference tournaments
are all inclusive. There are a few that will you know,
you say, some of our bottom feeders will not participate.

(15:45):
For for the most part, just about every Division one school,
we'll over three hundred have an opportunity to at the
very least compete in their conference tournament. And remember, you
win that conference tournament, you get the automatic bid, so
you have to expand you have the expansions called the
conference tournament. But Anita to me, these conference tournament games

(16:07):
are very difficult to predict because ultimately, no one really
remembers what you do in a conference tournament. All they
remember is what you do in the big dance. And
I've talked to many coaches over the years and their frustration, like,
you know, we had a great regular season, we won
our conference tournament, and we go down in the second
round of the NC tournament and that's all people remember.

(16:30):
You remember Yukon in twenty eleven, that incredible year where
they were the nine seed in the Big East tournament
and they won five games in five days. Think about that,
five games and five days. They didn't have a single
night off led by Kemba Walker Jim Calhoun the coach,
and you thought they're totally gassed, and then they're going
to win the NCAA Championship that year. So I want

(16:53):
to get some of your picks and some of the
games later on today, some of your best picks.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
But how difficult is it for you to sort of
decide for which schools.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Are very much into playing the game as opposed to
those that, well, we know we're in the Big Dance
and are we going to expend a lot of energy
in a conference tournament game?

Speaker 4 (17:15):
So again, full transparency with me, I really don't start
paying attention to college basketball until like right about now.
I just don't like, there's only so much bandwidth in
regard to like sports that I can watch, And obviously
I think with both of us, football is king. So
typically what happens with me is, you know, these these

(17:38):
conference semi finals, these conference finals, That's when I really
start paying attention. I start doing a really deep dive
in regard to these matchups. What makes these teams tick?
How good they are in regard to backcourt, front court,
all of that, and then I love selection Sunday Monday morning.
I'm a woman possessed the don't call me, don't text me,

(18:02):
don't like IM.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Okay, start by for a second. I gotta figure this out,
all right. First of all, I'm one of those people,
and I think you might agree with me on this one.
When we talk about the first Thursday and Friday of
the NCAA tournament and you have sixteen games on Thursday
and you have sixty days, well they should be national holidays,
because who doesn't fell out of bracket even if you

(18:24):
haven't watched a single basketball game the entire year and
have not a clue who anybody is on any team.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Maybe you know a few of the coaches.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Everyone's got a bracket, and all you're doing on those
first two days on Thursday and Friday is staring at
your bracket, right, I mean, you know it could be
busted after a couple of days, but for two days,
two days. Last year, By the way, Anita here at
Fox Sports Radio, we all have to make our picks.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
I was sixteen and O day watch. I have never
done that before ever. Et it's on the record.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
It was posted right here at Fox Sports Radio. I
could not believe it. I had actually I didn't win.
Ultimately a out of my teens went down. But the
first day I was sixteen, and oh, I couldn't believe it.
Now I've been doing practice for forty years anyway, so
they say.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
But really quick, they say that you are more than
likely to be hit by lightning then to get a
bracket one hundred correct.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Well, no one's ever done it, there's no there's no
documented evidence anywhere.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
I wonder, don't you wonder any complete do you ever?
You ever want?

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Even computers have done it.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Like how close someone has has come to day and
age with with like chat, GBT and AI and you know,
and and how it well, how their analytics could be.
That's pretty interesting.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Well, one of the major sports outlets, you know, does
an annual and they get millions of entries, right, And
I think they said someone even if you get to
the next second weekend, like if you get if you
have a perfect bracket through the first two rounds, I mean,
it's so rare that you would get that far. Like
I said, I got to one day. Okay, I didn't

(20:04):
get through days two, three, and four, which would be
the first week of the tournament. But there are people
have had perfect brackets going to the Sweet sixteen. I've
never heard of anyone have a perfect bracket getting to
the final four.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
I love that. But but to your question, you know,
should should Thursday and Friday be holidays?

Speaker 2 (20:24):
I think?

Speaker 4 (20:25):
You know, I argue, like, just like, by the way,
just like I think the Monday after super Bowl should
be a holiday, right, like, like how much how much
productivity are you getting done at work on on the
Monday after the super Bowl? More than likely none. But nonetheless,
one of my and I mentioned this last week on
the show, one of my bucket lists is to be
in Las Vegas at a sports book on Thursday and

(20:47):
Friday at the weekend. Like like that's like that is
that is a bucket list for me, huge, huge, huge
bucket list. But I will say this, I already have
my Thursday and Friday planned out where me and a
bunch of friends are going into the city. We've already
reserved our table at the Ainsworth in the city in
midtown uh, where we're gonna be sitting all day, all afternoon,

(21:10):
all night watching games on our phones.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Gambling.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
All right, I already I've already got my Thursday and
Friday planned out. Dude, you're getting.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
You're getting ahead of the game here. You talked about Monday. Okay,
so tomorrow's selection Sunday. Right, So the process of you
putting your bracket together, you don't even how many brackets
do you do?

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Oh? I do a ton. So I'm in So you know,
so again, listen, you and I have been in this.
We've been in We've we've been riding this rodeo for
quite a while, the two of us. Right, So so
I'm I'm in like a gazillion pools. I do have
some pools where you have a total of like, no
more than five brackets. I have some no, no more
than three brackets, and I have somewhere you're only allowed

(21:57):
to enter one. So I do a variety of those,
and then and then like Monday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, leading up,
I just I do immense, immense research. I'm reading everything
I can, I'm watching everything I can. I'm I'm sinning,
I'm texting you know, college basketball coaches, former basketball coaches, really,

(22:20):
you know college basketball analysts that I really really respect
and have covered teams and watch teams all season long.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Well, it's all about matchups. See, that is the whole
thing I have seen. You know, my UCLA Bruins have
sometimes exceeded I mean, you know, not that long ago
twenty twenty one. They went from the first four barely
beating Michigan State in the first four, big comfort behind.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Got all the way to the final.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Four, and if it wasn't for a half court shot
mirago By Gonzaga could have been in the championship game.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
But that's the key.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
It's sort of like you know, raiding horses at a
horse race, right, you have to sort of get a
sense of each individual horse, and then it's all about matchups.
Of course, the problem is when you fill out your brackets,
you can't predict upsets where a team that you thought, well,
they're going to go down in the second round because
that team is better, and then that team gets upset

(23:13):
and they're not there and that's right, and then.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
The matchup and then the matchup you're anticipating doesn't materialize exactly.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, So sometimes they skate through all.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Right, listen, at the end of the day, let's just
put a big green bow on this conversation, and like,
you know, I think we're both in agreement. Like football
is King or Queen. It really is. It's what drives
our sports universe. There's no denying that. Even though, by
the way, this is a conversation for a totally different show,
even though the product is just so bad, football still

(23:44):
drives everything. Yes, but to me, this is there's this
is second best. This is better than college basketball college football.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
To me, the.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
NCAA tournament, filling out your bracket, watching you know it
all play out Sweet sixteen Elite eight Final four championship.
Like to me, like those what four weeks three plus
weeks of the calendar of sports, calendar year, Steve nothing better.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Well, first of all, we know this. We know this.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
There are way more people that fill out brackets than
bet on the Super Bowl. There is no sporting event
where more people participate in terms of everyone fills out
a bracket. Everybody at your office, everybody is filling out
a bracket. I was at the TV. I mean the
quick story here, this is about ten years ago, was

(24:38):
twenty sixteen, and I'm doing it. Was a selection Sunday
and one of our news anchors, she knows zero about sports.
She goes, I want to fill out a bracket. I said, fine,
so I enter a bracket. She's looking at the bracket.
She goes, where's ball Street.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
I go, no, no, no. St period means state state.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Okay, well, she happens to be a native of Philadelphia.
She picks Villanova to win it all. I pick North
Carolina to win it all. They face each other in
the championship game. Three pointer at the buzzer wins it
for Villanova.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
She wins.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
There you go, that's what's so frustrating.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
That's almost as that's almost as bad as d gate
as opposed to defense.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Uh huh. All right, on the other side, can you
give me a pick for later today? I mean I
have two games of you. I got Purdue Ucla, my
bruins big upset against Michigan State yesterday. I got a
pick for you there, and then the Yukon Saint John's game.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
I'm looking, I got all right on the other side,
will do those?

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Okay, you got it, But first let's find out what
is trending. Right and look at this legend. Talk about madness.
There he is, the legend himself, the great Isaac Lohancron who.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Actually listened to me?

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Is that the first time I ever heard me on
the radio when you're not actually here?

Speaker 6 (25:58):
As I texted you, yes and David Vasse yesterday.

Speaker 7 (26:02):
And by the way, Steve, thanks for not replying.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Well, I didn't even know how to reply, so absolutely flabbergassed.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Is that you actually sent me a text?

Speaker 7 (26:11):
Quote? You guys sound great together. Ps.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
It's so much more enjoyable listening to Hartman on the
radio than in person.

Speaker 7 (26:18):
Unquote, And I stayed.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
I shared this behind the scenes with me.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Every time I come into studio here, Anita, I immediately
march in to spend time with Isaac Low and Crown.
And he loves every second of it. He takes pictures
of me, he does video of me. It's a little
bit of a little a man crush. Are we like
borderline man crush?

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Here?

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Well? You know me. First of all, we have known
each other, traveled with Krunty Big events of twenty years plus.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
So yeah, hey, Anita, has Steve ever told you the
story about how he almost got us assassinated by a
drug dealer.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Well in Miami?

Speaker 4 (26:52):
Yes, Nona, I missed out on that one, but listen,
I grew up in Miami in the in the eighties
and nineties, lived on South Beach. I probably knew the dude.

Speaker 8 (27:01):
That's a good one, hey, Anita, has Steve ever also
told you the story about the time he almost went
home with a psychotic stalker who was in an airport
and invited to host us at her home, also in Miami.

Speaker 7 (27:17):
Ironically, I was on the same trip.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
And then.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Is this a Netflix documentary? I'll tune in later on tonight.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
It's a you know what, if you've been around long
enough like I have, Anita, You're going to see a lot.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Anita, Have you also heard the story about how Steve
once gave me a almost deadly illness going home from
the Super Bowl in Arizona?

Speaker 3 (27:37):
So you got that one backwards.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
You gave me an illness.

Speaker 6 (27:40):
CDC is still debating that while we table those stories
and tease them if you will. It has been a
busy day in the National Football League. Running back Jerome
Ford agreed to a one year deal with the Washington
Commanders Kansas City Chiefs, resigning offensive lineman Mike Caliendo to
a one year deal. Forty nine Ers restructured the contract
of pass rusher nick Bosa, creating seventeen million dollars of

(28:02):
salary cap space. College basketball UMBC headed to the NCAA
Tournament after winning the America East Championship game today over
Vermont seventy four to fifty nine. Right now, in the
MIAC Championship game, Howard up forty nine to thirty three
over North Carolina Central with eleven minutes remaining. Big ten
semi Final number three Michigan is reared back to take

(28:24):
a fifty two to thirty nine lead over twenty third
ranked Wisconsin with ten minutes left in the second half.
SEC Semi Final number twenty two Vanderbilt leading fourth ranked
Florida sixty four to forty six with twelve minutes remating
in the second half. Finally, Steve and Anita also trending
on social media right now, a college sports influencer put

(28:44):
out a video showing that Texas Tech's weight room does
not have any weights under forty pounds.

Speaker 7 (28:53):
It's led to a.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
Big debate on social media, including even from NFL legend
JJ Watt, who quote, hopefully just performative for social media
and not actually true, would be wildly absurd and irresponsible
unquote back to you, guys.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Well, I know your weight set at home. You don't
have anything under one hundred pounds right even for you?
That was ouncesunce Yes, I'm sorry, I must have misread
the label on those.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
All right, Isaac, great stuff.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
As always, once again, when we have Fox Sports Saturday
here Steve Hartman Anita marks with you.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
All right, Before we get.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
To these two picks here, coming up the second semi
final in the Big Ten Conference tournament Purdue and UCLA,
and then the Big East Final between Yukon and Saint John's.
UCLA had a rematch yesterday Anita against Michigan State, and
of course the first time they faced off a lot
of hullabaloo when mccrona and the UCLA coach ejected his

(30:14):
own player from a game for a hard foul, which
if you look back, was not really a hard foul.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
It was I don't you know, Mick is. I love mccronan.
I'm a UCLA grad, obviously, I'm a Ucla fan. I
like his style.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
He's aggressive, you know, he's five foot seven, he's a
dynamo and everything else. But if anything, he was playing
a lot of mind games because after they beat Rutgers,
you know, rematch with Michigan State. All right, they slaughtered
you once, they're going to slaughter you again. And he's like, yeah,
we have no chance. You know, we have no size.
I mean, we got four guards out there. They're too

(30:48):
physical for us. And then UCLA goes out and beats
Michigan State with their leading scorer, Tyler Billodo on the
bench for the entire second half.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
So that was an unbelievable win for them.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
They played frantic, according to Tom Izzoy, because that UCLA
team played frantic, meaning they were into the game. Now,
they'll play Purdue, a team that they beat at Pauley
Pavilion earlier, big upset earlier in the season. So break
it down for a sneita. How do you see this
matchup between Purdue and Ucla.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
Yeah, I'm gonna lay the points here with Purdue. As
you said, Bruins, really they're playing lights out. One might
argue their best basketball of the season, really impressive their
win against Michigan State. But you know, as you said,
that style will play. I just wonder coming into this
game how much gas they still have, especially with Tyler
be out as you mentioned, because of the knee injury
that he suffered. All the reports are he's not going

(31:41):
to play in this game. They're gonna save him, of
course for the Big Dance. Meanwhile, Purdue they're playing just
as well. They did not have a tough game against
the corn Huskers, right, so they're they're coming in. You know,
their guys didn't play a lot of minutes. They rotated
a lot of players. I think they're gonna have a
little bit more gas. In the take. They took down
Northwestern and the Brass combined twenty nine points, So I

(32:03):
wouldn't be surprised if this game is closed. But I
think toward at the end, I think Purdue has a
little bit more gas and I think they pull away.
So I'm going to lay the seven with Purdue.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
I would tend to agree with you on this one.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
And I hate to say that, and maybe I'm playing
a low reverse psychology, but UCLA by winning that game
against Michigan State probably elevated They're seeding into that seven range.
I'm gonna say right now, I think most bracketologies had
him like an eight. Uh. But you win against Michigan
State and you win against Izzo, especially when you're down

(32:35):
a man, I think that's going to impress people. So
unless they get annihilated by Purdue like you know, twenty
five point blowout, I think UCLA should hang on to
probably a seventh seed. All right. The coaching matchup in
this Big East Final, I mean yeah, I mean you
got yeah, Danny Hurley, whose brother, of course got fired.
It's amazing that Bobby Hurley hung on as long as
he did at Arizona State in eleven years. I mean,

(32:58):
because he really didn't do anything special during that long
run at Arizona State. But you know, for Yukon, it's
it's bounced back here. You know, they didn't after winning
back to back championships, it didn't really materialize.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Last year they played.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Well, and then you got Rick Patino, who was disappointed
last year losing to you know his man, John Calip Perry,
I say that tongue in cheek last year in the
NCAA tournament. You know he's trying to get you know,
his Saint John's team a little bit deeper this year.
So how do you look at this Big East Final
matchup between Yukon and Saint John's.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Yeah, this is taking place just probably a seven iron
from where I'm broadcasting from right now. I do like
Saint John's and I like the fact that I'm getting
the points. You're getting them at plus two and a half.
You know, if you want to play them on the
money line where you know obviously you're going to get
better odds in that regard, not going to be mad
at you. Listen, the Big East got it right. There's

(33:55):
no denying these are the two best teams in the
Big East. But here's the thing. Strong strong hold court advantage.
I know at least ten people who are heading to
the Garden tonight to root on Saint John's and the
garden is going to be rocking just as much, if
not more than when the Knicks take the court. So
home court advantage with Saint John. They both these teams,

(34:18):
they played each other as we know in the regular season,
they both want on their home court, and you're going
to have a huge home court presence tonight, So give
me Saint John's. You know, listen to me, this is
a coin flip. If they were playing on a neutral site,
I probably would like stay away and I would not
wager on this game, Steve. But considering that it's at
the Garden, it's Saint John's. I know so many people

(34:39):
who are going. People are really stoked to go to
this game tonight. It's the Garden's going to be on fire.
Give me Saint John's plus two and a half. And again,
if you want to play them on the money line,
not gonna be mad at you.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
That's March madness. That's what we live.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
I cannot The dynamic of that game is going to
be absolutely fricking mind blowing. Anita, all right, we'll have
some more pigs a little bit later on. But coming
up on the other side, I want to share a
story about what is going wrong for the United States
in this World Baseball Classic.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
This is Fox Sports Saturday.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Steve Harvin Andina Marks here Fox Sports Saturday. We're in
the Fox Sports Radio studios keeping our eye on Wisconsin
right now, is opened up a four point lead on
Michigan with three and a half minutes to go, and
now Michigan has come back with a two So sixty
two sixty Wisconsin lenning Michigan right now inside three and

(35:35):
a half minutes to go.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
In that you know what that line was, Steve?

Speaker 2 (35:37):
What was that line?

Speaker 4 (35:38):
Wisconsin plus thirteen and a half?

Speaker 3 (35:40):
I know, I knew they were dogs.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I realize this little mama, This little mama's going to
buy a new bear of shoes tomorrow. Wow.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Wow, you're feeling good about it right now?

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Yeah, that's a that's a good one. Well, again, this
is what I'm talking about with these conference tournaments. Who
needs to play? I mean, UCLA is so just conceded
the fact Ucla just played more with more urgency the
Michigan State did yesterday. He goes, some of my guys
sort of checked out. You know, we'd beaten this team huge,
and now they come in and they played like crazy and.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
We did not and that and then we lose.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
So again, we'll keep our eye on this sixty two
sixty Wisconsin leading, and Anita's.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
Going to get some new shoes.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
So here you go. She's so excited about that World
Baseball Classic coming up later today. We've got Italy Puerto Rico, Japan, Venezuela.
The winners of those two games will face off in
one semi final that'll be on Monday tomorrow. We got
the semi final matchup between the United States and the
Dominican Republic. Before I share my inside story, I just

(36:44):
want to get your overview, your general interest, the general
impact you feel that the World Baseball Classic has, if any,
I love.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
The passion, I love the excitement. I feel the team
like Puerto Rico teams like the dr the Dominican Republic,
you know, Venezuela. I just I love the swag and
the excitement and the passion. Bag Bunny giving the Puerto
Rican team their cleats, like the espresso machine and the tugout,

(37:20):
the backflip, you know, the bat flips, the personal jackets,
you know. I just I love the flair, love, I
love the love for the countries and what they're representing.
It's really made this special.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Steve Well, it's interesting.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
I feel like I've been more engaged with the World
Baseball Classics, certainly from a few years ago, when honestly
I didn't even understand what it was all about.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
But you know, I'm sort of getting into it.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
Actually, I worked with someone yesterday, David Vassa, who has
basically been the number one Dodgers correspondent for you know,
fifteen years, and he dismissed the whole thing is a
clown show. And he said, the biggest example of this
is the fact that Mark de Rosa is the manager
of the United States team, which he says is a joke.

(38:11):
The guy has zero managerial skills. He has no business
in that position in something that the United States is
saying is important to them to come out on top
of this World Baseball Classic. But this Clayton Kershaw situation,
I actually had a heads up before it became news yesterday,
and all is being said is that, well, you know,

(38:31):
we're coming down for a couple more games, and we
feel like we need somebody else in the bullpen that
may help us more than Clayton Kershaw. From what I'm told,
that is not what happened here. What I've been told
is that Clayton Kershaw has been horrified by what is
going on in the management of this team USA. Like,

(38:52):
you know, here's a first ballot Hall of Famer. He's
just been part of back to back World Series champions
and he said, it's an absolute freaking mockery the way
Mark Mark de Rosa has been an absolute fricking joke
in the way that he has managed his baseball team.
Promises were made to Clayton Kershaw that we're not delivered on,

(39:14):
and he says, DeRosa is all over the place and
he is doing a horrific job. Losing to Italy is
almost insane when you look at the lineup that the
United States put together versus that of Italy, and he
puts the blame right on DeRosa's lap. Now, he won't
say this publicly, this is hearsay from my standpoint, but
this idea that well, we just needed to make a

(39:35):
pitching change, and so no, that's not what happened. Kershaw
basically begged out like he did not. I mean, why
would you want out, you know, with two games to
go on the possibility of actually being there if we
win the World Baseball Classic like it matters and for
some it doesn't. And for Kershaw, he said, this is ridiculous.

(39:55):
This is the way. This is being a run. I
don't want any part of it, and it really comes
down to Mark de Rosa.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
Well, it's interesting because you know again tomorrow night, eight
pm Eastern time. I love the Dominican the fact that
they've you know, five WPC games for fifty one runs.
They're batting over three hundred fourteen home runs. This team
is unbelievable. But another part of my handicapping is the
fact that Albert Polhost is managing that team, and so

(40:24):
I give him a heads up over Mark de Rosa.
So not surprising there, but really quick, I know we
only have a few seconds. The fact that you had
someone who called this a clown show, I think that's
an interesting conversation to have because I think that's the
problem with Major League Baseball and why major League Baseball
does not have as many viewers and doesn't have a

(40:45):
larger fan base because it's so old school and it
won't accept the way that these these players are enjoying
themselves and having so much freaking fun right now with
the way that they're and the perception is all these
guys are they're clowns. No they're not. This is what
you need, especially to get the millennial in the gen

(41:06):
Z's watch Baseball.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
All right, Well he compared it to wrestling, is what
he did. The World Baseball Classic. Take it from there.
Much more coming up here on Fox Sports Saturday. Wow,
this Michigan Wisconsin game semis of the Big Ten Tournament
and Michigan the Big Three with point Now they're putting
another tenth of a second on the clock, point four
to go here, Anita, so Wisconsin a golden opportunity when

(41:32):
Ice Cold then hit a three to tie it. Michigan
ran down the clock and hit a big three.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
So let me ask you, Yeah, what would be what
would be your sports what's the word I'm looking for?
Magic moment? Would it be hitting a three pointer to
win the National Championship of March Madness? Would it being

(42:00):
a Grand Slam on the final play of the final
inning no shot at in the World Series. Would it
be completing and throwing a Hail Mary with three seconds
left on the clock in the NFL Super Bowl. Or
would it be wait, I'm not done, I'm not done, Steve.
Or would it be sinking a twenty five foot putt

(42:24):
at the Masters to win by one point?

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Yeah? To hit me up with that one, I had
to hit me with that one. What's what's Yeah, I
wasn't even hesitating, Like you know, I always go back
to the Gordon Hayward shot for Butler against Duke. Now
I wasn't at that final four, but my producer was,
and he was directly under the basket and he said,
when Hayward let go of that shot, Butler down by two,

(42:52):
he said, it was right online and they've gone back
a thousand times.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
Literally.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
If that ball hits the backboard like two inches below
where it did, it banks in at the buzzer to
win the National Championship for Butler, that would mean for me,
for me personally, that would be the biggest thing. Although
I have to say, yeah, twenty five thirty foot or
to win the Masters close, No, I would say shot

(43:19):
at the buzzer down to like, you know, like we
are mentioning what happened with Villanova and North Carolina twenty six.
That was a tie game, Okay, so if he misses,
they still go there over time. But if that Gordon
Hayward shot, and if Gordon Hayward, if Gordon Hayward, if
that shot had gone in at the buzzer, a half
court three pointer to win by one against Duke, would.

(43:42):
It would go down as the greatest shot in the
history of basketball, no question.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
How could you beat that half court shot to win
for Butler.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Over Duke in the national championship game, That to me
would be the ultimate.

Speaker 1 (43:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
You know, my favorite quote is from Billy Jean King,
and that is pressure is a privilege. And you know
why pressure is a privilege because there is no feeling,
There is no feeling that any drug that any situation
in life can give you that you feel that your
body experiences when you accomplish something of that magnitude. Yeah,

(44:16):
and that and and and that is why. And if
you you're I'm an athlete. I've played professional sports, intermural sports,
all of it. I've been in those situations. I've been
extremely successful. I have failed miserably. But when you do succeed,
have like like I like, I always say, like I
want to be I want to be that person. I

(44:38):
want to be the quarterback throwing that last pass. I
want to be the basketball player taking that last shot.
I I want that put to be on the line
because the the euphoria that you feel by that accomplishment
is nothing that anything else on this planet could, could,
could do, or make you feel and hints pressure is

(45:02):
a privilege to allow you to get there.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
I love that. I mean, it is so true.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
I think back to Kobe here in La and someone
that you know, I got to know and and and
just talking to him about those pressure situations because no
one took more of those shots.

Speaker 3 (45:19):
And by the way, no one.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
Missed more of those shots. That's a fact. Goa be
missed a lot more of those, you know, miraculous shots
than he made. But when he made him it just
seemed also special.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
Here's another thing, Steve, You've got to be okay to fail.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
Oh yeah, oh no, no, you know that's.

Speaker 4 (45:36):
Like like you have to be okay. And I think
that there are a number of athletes out there that
are scared to fail, and therefore they're scared to be
that person. They're scared to be that because you know,
they don't want to get criticized and they don't they
you know, but you know, you need you need.

Speaker 2 (45:58):
To accept both sides of the isn't this just the
story of life anyway? I mean, it doesn't have to
be sports. I mean, you have to take chances in life, right,
you know, the old you know, the life's not address rehearsal,
is it. I mean, this life is going to be
your one life.

Speaker 4 (46:12):
But when you're but when you're in these situations and
you're on a national platform and the world is watching you,
and you fail, and then you have to you have
to take it on the chin and you have to
take all that criticism as opposed to like you know,
in your personal life, maybe your mom, your folks, your
significant other, your children, your best friends. They they witness
you fail, right, they're gonna lift you up. Hey, you

(46:34):
got it next time. But to but to fail on
that stage in a national championship game or you know,
the Masters or the super Bowl, that's you know, that's
that's you know, that's being confident in yourself to say,
you know what, I may have failed today, but you know,
gosh darn it, you know I'm I'm gonna win it
one day.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
Was there anything better than watching Rory McElroy finally survive
that final nine holes where it looked like he had
it and then he didn't have it, and then he
had it and he didn't have it, and you know
the pressure.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
I mean, this is a guy with you know, one
hundred million.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
Dollars in personal wealth, he's got everything in the planetell
all of but you can't. They don't give it to
you get You gotta earn it, you gotta win it.
You gotta get that green jackets, the last thing missing
on his resume, and what he was going through to
try to get to that finish line, and then when
he finally makes that last putting, it just you know,

(47:32):
basically crumbled to the ground. Yeah. I love the drama
that look. I mean, this is what makes sports special, right,
I mean, you know, and this is why you a lot.
I'm very critical sometimes when people say, well, parody's good,
I'll get Parodi's not good because I'll tell you what
parody takes away David versus Goliath.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
If everybody's the same, then it really doesn't matter, does it.

Speaker 2 (47:52):
I mean, well, my team won this time, Oh great
for you. But for the average sports fan, if you
don't have a horse in the race, what we most
remember are the upsets. I mean the real upsets, like
the completely unexpected. I can't believe that just happened. In
an upset, and if you have parody you take that away.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Well, here I'm going to disagree with you in I
don't believe I love parody in the regular season.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Why because if everybody, if you out like parody in
the regular season, I don't.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
Need parody in the regular season. Doesn't that any part
in the boats season?

Speaker 4 (48:39):
But but I do like because because it gets you
to the end, It gets you, you know, because I okay, wait,
I'm wait. This year, this year, the NFL season was
over in Week fifteen. Let's be honest. Week sixteen was
Week seventeen. You didn't even have to watch, dude, you didn't.
You didn't because there was no pair, right, Yeah, Like

(49:01):
I feel this year, this past year in the NFL,
there were more halves and have nuts. There was more
mediocre football. There were so many injuries, especially to the
quarterback position. I mean, I just again, I thought the
product really sucked. It was so bad, Steve, it was
so bad and so so because we didn't have parody
in the regular season. Really the NFL regular season ended.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
But a lot of us point the point is, you
say the product is bad. I agree with you, meaning
we don't have greatness anymore in the league. Where's that
dominant team? Where is that team? You know, people are
getting all hyped up about the Dodgers. Now you know,
we laugh in LA because for years we were always saying,
when are we gonna, you know, get that kind of respect.
The Dodgers have never been held in that regard. The

(49:46):
Yankees always were in baseball, and now all of a
sudden they become a target. And if you're a fan
of the Dodgers, now it's one way or the other.
Either you love them or you hate them. You know,
when you talk about the NFL with the Chiefs and
just recently the Chiefs, you know, and their ability with
Patrick Mahomes to deliver in big games. Although I never
looked at the Chiefs the same way as they did

(50:08):
like the Patriots, because if you look at the five
Super Bowls the Chiefs have been in with the Mahomes,
they got blown out of two of them, and the
three they won they barely won. So I didn't look
at him the same I just think, like you don't
think golf was better when Tiger was just annihilating the
field and then if someone came up and upset him,

(50:28):
that that wasn't a much bigger deal. I mean, the
NBA is a prime example of this. We've had seven
different champions in seven years. It is so watered down.
It's so media I don't know what's an upset, mean,
give me, give me any dynamic where like you walk
away saying, wow, that was unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (50:46):
Can you believe they won?

Speaker 2 (50:47):
Doesn't exist in the NBA. It is so watered down,
so mediocre.

Speaker 4 (50:52):
So uh, I will, I will agree with you on this.
When Lebron James was out there forming his super teams,
whether it was in Miami or Cleveland, yeah, yeah, that
was a lot of fun to watch, you.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Know, fun to watch because if you handed them you
wanted them to.

Speaker 4 (51:10):
Lose, absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 2 (51:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:13):
So I mean, I mean, okay, there you go. Oh
all right.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
On the other side, I got to ask you about
the fallout of one of the most shocking stories, seriously
in recent NFL history, and that was the mega trade
of Max Crosby from the Raiders for two first round
picks of the Ravens. And then the next thing, you know,
he fails the physical. What exactly happened here and what's

(51:40):
happening next? We'll break it down this it's Fox Sports Saturday.
Steve Harvin Anina marks here. Fox Sports Saturday. By the way,
Puerto Rico scoring and run top of the first inning
taken on Italy quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic. The
winner of this game will move on to the Semis.
That game will be on Sunday. All right, I want

(52:02):
to get back to some NFL free agency news. So
one of the absolute biggest stories without a question, leading
up to the official first day of the NFL season
this past Wednesday, was the Raiders trading Max Crosby to
the Baltimore Ravens for two number one picks. Reports were
the Dallas had offered a first and a second, but

(52:26):
Ravens came up with two first and Even though there's
no way to predict how a trade ultimately will turn
out in advance, I understood the trade on both sides.
I mean, for the Raiders, having a guy like Max
Crosby is like a luxury. I mean, you got so
many holes to fill. You make a deal, you get
a couple of number one picks, you can actually take
that one pick and trade down multiple picks. You have

(52:48):
way too many holes, almost like Max Crosby is a
luxury to have on a really bad team. On the
other side, of the Ravens desperately needed to get some
pass rush to help out their secondary and Max Crosby
is one of those guys.

Speaker 3 (53:01):
It's a guarantee.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Because he his motor runs one hundred percent of the
time anita always does, which isn't easy when you're on
really bad teams, which he has been on for the
majority of his time with the Raiders. So if you're
on a better team like the Ravens, it would only
stand to reason that you would even be more motivated
to run hot and that's what mac Crosby is all about.

(53:23):
But all of a sudden, even though it was known
that he had meniscus surgery done, okay, so yeah, he's
going to miss part of training camp. He should be
ready for the start of the season, and yet the
Ravens failed him, nixed the deal on the physical And
it's like, what just happened here? So I'm gonna ask

(53:44):
you what just happened and what's the fallout from both
the Raiders' standpoint and the Ravens standpoint about this failed
deal of Max Crosby for two number one picks. Yeah, so.

Speaker 4 (54:00):
I spent four years in Baltimore know the Baltimore Ravens,
Steve Bushatti extremely well. Ozzie Knwsom was the general manager,
wh I was there, knew ericd Acosta, who was in line,
has now taken over. So let me just preface by
saying I've got immense respect for the organization. And uh
and and Eric DeCosta learned from the best, and and
that was Ozzie. So uh so there's that. I think

(54:22):
what happened here was Max. Max Crosby was highly coveted.
He came in. He apparently, from what I understand, he
has h he needs meniscus surgery. And by the way,
I've had seven knee surgeries, four a c L, three
three a CL for meniscus. So when you have a
meniscus tear, you could repair it several ways. One is

(54:46):
you you shave it where you shave the meniscus to
the point where the tear doesn't exist anymore, or you
suture it up. I'm not sure which one it is. Also,
keep in mind he turns twenty nine in August, so
there is some wear and tear on those treads and
put giving up two first round drop picks. That's a

(55:08):
lot like that, you know, and not to say that
Max isn't worthy of that, especially for a team like
the Ravens. That is like, let's be honest, they are
win now, especially in this division where there are a
lot of question marks. The Browns quarterback situation is a mess.
The Steelers don't even know who their quarterback is going
to be. Joe Burrow in the Cincinati Bengals, they're a

(55:32):
mess as well. Like this is the year for the
Ravens to really take a hold of the AFC North.
I have no doubt that they're going to win the division.
They'll make it into the postseason. Who knows, maybe they
go in as the number or number two seed. They're
going to host a number of playoffs and potentially represent
the AFC in the Super Bowl. Have no doubt about that.

(55:53):
One thing that they were in dire straights for and
they really needed was help defensively. They have immense talent
on their defense, but they weren't able to turn the corner.
So therefore I understand why they were willing to give
up the two first round draft picks. They bring in
Max Crosby. They realize he's got a knee issue, he's
twenty nine, and then all of a sudden, oh, Trey

(56:18):
Hendrickson is looking a little bit more desirable. No injuries
can come in they could utilize him on the defense. Wow,
that could be a better deal for us. We don't
have to give up the two number ones. We're getting
a guy who's a little bit younger and isn't compromised. So,
you know, like I like I, they pivoted and it

(56:42):
sucks for Max. It really more than anything, Steve, it
sucks for the Raiders because now you know, if they
do decide to trade Max to a different team, they're
certainly not going to get two number ones because now
the world knows he needs knee surgery. But you know,
the Ravens. The Ravens had to do with what they

(57:03):
what they had to do. Here's here's here's what the
issue is going to be moving forward. Are teams now
going to be reluctant to make a deal with ericd
Acosta in the Ravens knowing how they handled this situation
And part of having a phenomenal general manager on a
team is a general manager who people like, who people

(57:26):
want to pick up the phone and call and have
a conversation about wheeling and dealing and making deals for players. Now,
are people going to be reluctant to call the Ravens
or trust the Ravens and trust Eric Acosta because of
the way that they handled the situation.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
I say, yes, I agree with you. I think it's
a freaking disaster for the Ravens. You talk about a
pr nightmare for the Ravens. I mean, it's such a
bad look. Like you said now, I mean again, when
we go back to the whole idea of well should
we go with Trey Hendrickson versus Crosby and everything else,
I would imagine you've done a little homework in advance, okay,

(58:05):
before you actually put it out there that we're willing
to part with two number one picks to get Max Crosby.
I mean you've ruined things for the Raiders because now
all of a sudden it's out there that, oh, there's
damage goods. I mean, if you're looking for something bad,
you're gonna find it right Whereas now you're like, well,
he seems to be okay, but the Ravens said he wasn't,

(58:27):
so maybe we're missing some I mean, like you have
absolutely tarnished the one commodity that the Raiders had that
could help them start the process of putting together a
potential roster to get into the postseason.

Speaker 3 (58:42):
Down the road.

Speaker 2 (58:43):
I just think the Ravens mishandled it miserably. Look I'm
with you, Ozzie K. Newsom's record was unmatched. When you
think about some of the deals, I always go back
to the when they left Cleveland to go to Baltimore,
their very first draft nineteen ninety six, they had two
number ones. They cut John John Hadden. I mean, Hall
of famers. So Ozzie knew how to run an organization.

(59:05):
Just because you're a disciple of someone doesn't make you qualified.
That's what I say. Oh, he learned from the best.
Well you might have learned from the best, but you're not.
And so, I mean, this was so mismanned, such a debate.
I mean, so, yeah, you have respect for the Ravens
organization when Ozzie Knewson was running the show. Just because
you are a protege doesn't put you in the same class.

(59:28):
And this was completely botched. And yes, I would be
very hesitant to take a phone call from the Ravens
moving forward.

Speaker 4 (59:35):
And here's another thing, and correct me if I'm wrong.
But but Max was like the raven Not only were
the Ravens giving up two number ones, but they were
gonna have to negotiate a new deal for him. Sure, yeah,
so so you know.

Speaker 3 (59:48):
So you didn't know this.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
And again I'm not give me. I'm not defending the Ravens.
I'm not defending the Ravens. But you know, I think
I think, you know, all things, consider all the things,
as we like to say, you know, I think based
on the reports, I believe the reports. I think the
Ravens panicked. I think they were like, WHOA, this is

(01:00:10):
too much to give up. B We're gonna have to
negotiate a new deal with him. We're probably gonna get stuck.
We're gonna have to probably eat a lot of it
if that knee surgery or the knee deteriorates again. He's
twenty nine years old. Oh wait a minute, Trey Hendrickson, Ooh,
that can be an even better fit for our defense.
Let's pivot. But yes, you know, they totally screwed the Raiders.

(01:00:32):
And I think really the bigger story here is now
teams are going to be a little bit more apprehensive
to pick up the phone and try to wheel and
deal and make calls and make potential deals with Eric
DeCosta and the Ravens. Now moving forward, all right, Like
who can trust them?

Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
No, exactly, and that's that's a problem for the Ravens
moving forward. All right, So we talked about some of
the teams still in search of quarterback answers. The Browns
obviously the top is by the way I get the
Jets credit. I'm one of those still believers in Geno Smith. Oh,
Geno Smith took the fall for the Raiders unfairly because

(01:01:11):
the Chip Kelly higher was the disaster there.

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
Whoever decided to bring in Chippy?

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
As you know, it came out that chip Kelly was
literally sending plays down on the field that Geno Smith
didn't even know existed. So there was such a miscommunication
going on between the offensive coordinator and the quarterback. I
still believe Geno Smith is serviceable. Now. I don't know
if any quarterback and have success in a Jets uniform.
That remains to be seen. But I think the Jets

(01:01:35):
could be in a worse situation than bringing in Geno Smith.
So at least temporarily they got some answer perhaps there.
But I mean the Cleveland Brown situation, I don't know
what you're still doing. I mean, technically, there's still toubting
that Deshaun Watson is in the mix.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
I'm like, what it is?

Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
He is? He? I know you're still paying him, but
that doesn't mean that he's still in the mix. I
mean Shdor Sanders his numbers were historically bad. I mean
they weren't just bad, like they were historically bad as
far as his QBR is concerned. So the idea that
somehow Shador Sanders is going to become a franchise quarterback
seems just a pipe dream. But let's talk about Kirk Cousins,

(01:02:16):
because one thing we know about Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
The whole dynam was so weird.

Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
First of all, you talk about the Vikings losing Sam Darnold,
how do they lose Kirk Cousins. I mean, no one
saw Atlanta coming out of literally nowhere and offering the
deal that he did. Understandably he took it. And then
they draft Michael Pennix and it was like, what's happening
here in Atlanta? And then after Penis got hurt, Kirk Cousins,
who had been shaky prior to that, looked better, seemingly

(01:02:44):
a little more confident coming out that Achilles injury. So
looking into the crystal ball here, Anina Marx. Who would
you say, right now, which team would be the best
fit for Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
Yeah, I mean, well, hey, so, so the first question
you have to ask is do you feel Kirk Cousins
is a starting quarterback in the NFL. That's number one.

Speaker 3 (01:03:06):
I still think he is.

Speaker 4 (01:03:07):
And yeah, I do too.

Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
I mean, I'm not talking about an elite, but I yeah,
I'd say.

Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
I'd say I'd say, I'd say somewhere between you know,
twenty twenty two and twenty eight. You know I would
put him. You know, I would put him down there,
you know I would.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:03:24):
So that's so that's number one. Number two is if
you do bring in Kirk Cousins and you're going to
have him be your starting quarterback, you need an exceptional
offensive line, like exceptional. Also, you need a running game
because he does not thrive unless you are aggressive with
play action. So so there are certain things that you

(01:03:48):
absolutely need. A top you know, let's go, I was
going to say top ten, possibly top eight offensive line,
and you need you need a very successful running a
tick so that Kirk Cousins then could utilize his play
action skills because that's where he thrives. So there's very
limited teams out there I think that fit that bill.

(01:04:10):
And also there's very limited teams Steve that at this
point in time need a quarterback I would like. I
don't think Daniel Jones is going to be ready for
Week one, and I actually think that he would be
a good fit for the Colts offense. You know, I
like the head coach, I like his offensive mentality. They've

(01:04:31):
got a very good offensive line. They were able to
protect Daniel Jones this season and have him come in
and start the season and then see where that goes.
You know, maybe he starts the season with the Colts,
see what happens throughout the year. As we know, you know,
each and every year, we have at least anywhere between
eight to ten, possibly twelve starting quarterbacks that go down,

(01:04:52):
and there might be a team out there that'll be
looking at that point in time to trade or bring
in a quarterback to come in and fit the bill.
So just just looking at like, I don't think he
would be successful in Cleveland. I don't think that would
be a good landing spot for him. So again, and
I don't know, maybe go to the Raiders and be

(01:05:12):
a mentor for Mendoza. I think Mendoza would start. But
you know, I'm sure Kirk Cousins is tired of riding
the pine and holding the clipboard like he did in Atlanta,
So I don't know. For me, I would say the
Colts go start the season, wait until Daniel Jones is
one hundred percent ready to go, and then hopefully, you know,
you've got a small sample size, but something that's really

(01:05:35):
good and attractive for other teams out there for Kirk Cousins,
and you trade him.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
I laugh when I saw Daniel Jones get that deal
last time. He got a forty million plus deal. He
got it from the Giants. How did that work?

Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
Watch out now I started the Daniel Jones fan club.

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
You're you're okay?

Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Well to me, it's still a small sample size with
Daniel Jones. And you know, obviously once he left, the
Holts completely fell off the rails. I know Shane Steikh
from his days is an assistant with the Chargers, and
that was interesting because two of the young assistants they
had at the time where him and Nick Sirianni, who
were very different personalities to say the least. But you know,

(01:06:14):
I don't know. I'm still not all in on Daniel Jones.
But I can understand the Colts hoping that what they
saw was not a mirage that they can actually, you know,
suddenly get Daniel Jones to that next level, much as
Brian Dabele thought he was going to do that with
Daniel Jones in New York, which never material won.

Speaker 4 (01:06:33):
No, Brian Dable never wanted Daniel Jones. So so here
really quick, I'll make a case for Daniel Jones. Daniel
Jones was drafted by the Giants too soon by Dave Gettlman,
So that was the first thing. He comes in. He
was drafted too soon. So the expectation for like, he
should have been drafted late in the first rounds definitely

(01:06:54):
below fifteen, if not in the second round, and then
expectations would not have been this hard for him. He
comes to New York. New York is a very hard
place to play. He was drafted too high, so there
was high expectations. And he comes in and he plays
for a team that has a horrible offensive line and
no weapons, no weapons for him at all. Right, like

(01:07:15):
his last year, he had neighbors. But at that point
in time, Sae Kwon Barkley was in Philadelphia. On top
of that, from daniels first last year with Duke and
all the way through his tenure with the Giants, he
went through seven offensive coordinators and seven different offenses. And
for folks who've never played football before, when you learn
a new system, it's like learning a new language. So

(01:07:37):
imagine trying to learn a new language in understanding that
language each and every year, and then trying to allow
your athletic you know, gifts to succeed while you're trying
to learn a new language. On top of that, he
played for a number of head coaches and offensive coordinators
who were not in his quarter, who were not in

(01:07:59):
his corner and didn't him to be there, and Brian
Dable was one of them. So dude was sold a
bag of lemons. The Giants did him wrong so many ways,
and the best thing that happened to him was to
get the hell out of Dodge leave here. Giants fans
hated him. I was so thrilled for the season that
he had in Indianapolis with the Colts because he went

(01:08:21):
to a team that, by the way, drafted Anthony Richardson.
Didn't like Anthony Richardson coming out of University of Florida
knew he was going to be a bust. And that
is another organization Steve that said, you know what, we
made a mistake. Anthony Richardson is not a starting quarterback
in the NFL. And Steiken hitched his wagon to Daniel Jones,
and they started the season like nobody's business. In fact,

(01:08:43):
to the point where Daniel Jones was being talked about
comeback Player of the Year, possibly MVP Colts winning the division.
At one point in time, they were like a third
favored to win the Super Bowl. And then they dealed,
they dealt with all these injuries and YadA, YadA, YadA,
and then Daniel got injured and then we know how
the season and yes.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
With Philip Rivers out on the field, all right, I'm
going to say this. I'm going to say this in
the I will give you the benefit of the doubt
because you are the president of the Daniel Jones fanly
I am not, and so.

Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
We'll sell you a teaser. Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (01:09:14):
Let's find out right now, though, what is happening in
the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
As a man who not only has lived up.

Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
To expectations, but has far exceeded anything that ever dreppt
possible for a man from his humble beginning Jez to
where he has ascended, sitting narrow with us right now,
the one, the only. What's your name?

Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Isaac loewenkrot.

Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
Hey, Anita?

Speaker 6 (01:09:44):
You know I was thinking about this over the ninety
last ninety minutes or so? Are you now considering changing
your name from Anita Marx to Anita break from Steve?

Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
No, I'm in shored Like I listen, I I do
TV digital, I love radio because like I feel like
I feel like I'm sitting hanging out at a local
watering hole, sitting on you know, a great guinness sitting back,
just talking sports with Steve, and everybody's like he's dropping
on us.

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
See, and I have I trust. We know that we
can say anything to each other. We're not going to
get offended. We obviously are two different people, we have
two different life experiences. Don't you understand that dynamic? Isaac
Glowing cron Actually, I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
You love saying his last name? Don't you?

Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
Well?

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
I do well, I call him Ilot, But I mean,
you know, did I first call you Ilo before anybody else?

Speaker 6 (01:10:38):
Actually it was another Fox sports radio host, Mark Willard.

Speaker 7 (01:10:42):
Was the first, Willard the first, but.

Speaker 6 (01:10:44):
You're the one who moved, who added jet fuel to
it to the point where I cannot escape it. And
you know what, Steve, because of that somewhat flattering introduction,
I'm actually gonna lead with your UCLA bros.

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
Because getting ready, we're tied two to two.

Speaker 6 (01:11:03):
Big Big Tens, well not anymore Big ten semi finals
just underway. Perdue is just knocked down a three pointer,
so they've got a five to two lead over Hartman's
UCLA Bruins. They are just under two minutes in the
first half. Earlier dramatic finish in the earlier Big Ten
semi final Number three Michigan a twenty third ranked Wisconsin
tied at sixty five of the dying seconds. As we

(01:11:25):
tune in Brian Bosch on Station wcsx.

Speaker 3 (01:11:29):
I game, Michigan can win it on the shot.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
Flendenborg open for three one second too god.

Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
Michigan hits the three. The Big Ten player of.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
The year, you have the lendeboard three feet behind the
long line, hits the three with three tenths of a
second left.

Speaker 6 (01:11:45):
Final score Michigan sixty eight, Wisconsin sixty five. Howard advanced
to the NCAA Tournament, winning the MEAC Championship game over
North Carolina Central seventy to sixty three. UNBC won the
America East Championship game over Vermont's seventy four to five
fifty nine. In the SEC Semi Finals Number twenty two,
Vanderbilt defated fourth Rowank Florida by seventeen points, ninety one

(01:12:08):
to seventy four. Now, finally, Steve and Anita also trending
right now Chandler Bing. It turns out that today Vanderbilt
got seven points and three rebounds off the bench from
a freshman forward named Chandler Bing.

Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
Was he named after the Friend's character?

Speaker 6 (01:12:28):
Chandler Bing claims that he has never watched a single
episode of Friends and that his parents naming him that
had no connection whatsoever to the character, played of course,
by the lady Matthew Perry.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Come on, now, how many chandler Bings are there in
the world.

Speaker 6 (01:12:46):
What's interesting, though, is this Chandler Bing happens to be
a distant cousin of seven time NBA All Star and
former mayor of Detroit Dave Bing.

Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
Wow. Wow, that's why Chandler Bing was trending.

Speaker 4 (01:13:01):
Where'd you find that out.

Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
This is what he does. This is why the legend
grow up. Well when it comes to Isaac Lewis.

Speaker 6 (01:13:09):
See, Anita, one of the unfortunate obsessions that both Steve
and I share is like researching things. So we're into
we're nerdy into media guides and stuff. So you know
how in media guides there's a section after all the
athletic accomplishments, there's a section marked personal with personal facts.
So the only item in this Chandler Bings bio in

(01:13:31):
the media guide in the personal section, only one item
has never watched an episode of Friends.

Speaker 7 (01:13:36):
Wow, that's the source back to you.

Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
Did you somehow link us together there? I mean somehow
did you hear that?

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
In the sort of linked us together in the geek squad.

Speaker 4 (01:13:47):
Around reading media guides?

Speaker 6 (01:13:51):
Have you have you heard of his Heisman trophy research
field trips?

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
Good, Anita, I could scare you, but I'm not going
to thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
Isaah as always hey with the.

Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
Oh the stories. With the iHeartRadio app, you can stream

All right. Coming up on the other side, Anita will

(01:14:27):
have a few more of her picks and some late
late Oscar buzz.

Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
The Academy Awards are tomorrow. This is Fox Sports Saturday.
Fox Sports Saturday, Steve Hartin and Anita marks with you,
and I want to thank our crew today, Isaac Lohencron.

Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
Handling all the updates for us today.

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
Chris on the board, I see him suddenly gone dude.
And then Bo, our brilliant producer hanging out.

Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Good to see you.

Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
Bo.

Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
Don't forget tomorrow. I'm gonna be hanging out.

Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
With Vija Husky Fox Sports Sunday and Anita. By the way,
this past Sunday. The Academy Awards are tomorrow night. And
for more than thirty years on my radio shows.

Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
I have had a gentleman by the name.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Of Lucky Leshu who comes on for a very quick,
rapid fire segment, no conversation. I literally rattle off all
categories you know, documentary shorts all the way to Best Picture,
and he gives us the winners.

Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
He's been doing this on my shows for over thirty years.

Speaker 4 (01:15:43):
How accurate is he?

Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
It's insane, Like we're talking overall numbers and it's documented
because he's been on the air over eighty five percent
of all categories. It's remarkable. Actually, last it was one
of his like off years, or I think he missed
five or six maybe, but I mean it's like he'll

(01:16:05):
miss two in all categories.

Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
So you had him on last last week.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
So we had him on last week. So this is
the major categories. Here are his winners, so picture and
he admits this one could could change, but one battle
after another, Okay, is going to win Picture and Director?

Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
Two?

Speaker 4 (01:16:25):
Yeah, sinners plus three thirty because you know, obviously anything
with me, you know, I'm I know, I understand they
have I'm throwing in a week.

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
I'll put it this way, if you want to do
a little side wager, not on director, but as far
as picture maybe, I mean Paul Damason one.

Speaker 4 (01:16:41):
Battles minus five hundred, So folks out there, that means
you have to lay five hundred dollars down to win
one hundred, right, but if Sinners wins, you win three.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
I talked him last night and and he even conceded
that there is some late fire for Sinners. He doesn't
believe enough to get it across the finish line. But
if you want to wager a little bit, definitely do
it on Sinners. For Yeah, actor is going to go
to Michael B. Jordan.

Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
That is going to be the galame with his whole
like oop.

Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
But it was happening even before that. Yeah, it was
happening even before that.

Speaker 4 (01:17:15):
And by the way, Michael B plus one twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
Yeah, so he is a good play there. The actress
we know is the lady from ham At Jesse Buckley.
She's gonna win now. As far as supporting actress concerned,
this is again a late rally. Sean Penn is gonna
win Best Supporting Actor. So Sean Penn, who was an
early dog in the race, suddenly has got all the
momentum on his side.

Speaker 4 (01:17:37):
And this he was so good.

Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
He's so phenomenal in that movie bat Oh, so good
all the way to the end. We won't give it away.
And then as far as supporting Actress, another wide open
category for a while, but he says, yeah, look for
Amy Bad again to get the Career Achievement Award, So
she is the favorite there so and then as far
as screenplays, he's got obviously one battle winning that I
believe it's the AFT screenplay Centers winning the original Screenplay.

(01:18:02):
So some of the techno he has Frankenstein winning, like makeup,
he has Frankenstein winning a few of the technical awards.
Sinners will win best Score, what is a k Pop
is going to win song along with Animated Feature. But
if you want to hear what he predicted, check out
our podcast that was last Sunday Show, the second hour.

(01:18:24):
He ran down every single category. So, but those are
the major category winners, and he's pretty confident this year.

Speaker 4 (01:18:30):
So I'm invited to an Oscars party tomorrow and so
I have to get dressed up and they are having
a lot of parties and they are having a red carpet.

Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
No wait a second, that's.

Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
Fun, right, Oh yeah, I think so.

Speaker 3 (01:18:43):
And so have you seen most of the movies nominated
this year?

Speaker 4 (01:18:46):
You know, unlike other years where I'm like, oh, I
didn't see that. I didn't see that. I have no
idea what that is. I have I saw one Battle,
I saw Sinners, I saw Marty Supreme.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
I wasn't wild about Marty Ciprina.

Speaker 4 (01:18:59):
I thought it the Stone was a phenomenon.

Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
I love her well, she she takes risk, there's no
doubt about that in your career.

Speaker 4 (01:19:07):
And I saw weapons.

Speaker 2 (01:19:08):
Yeah, I you know what one thing I'll say you
about one Battle after another and Sinners, they're very original movies.
Like there's you can't watch either one of those movies
and say wow, yeah that reminds me of a certain
movie because they really don't very original ones.

Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
Think about Marty Supreme, was I felt like it was
just foreseen.

Speaker 2 (01:19:25):
Like this is like I mean, there's no doubt Timothy
Chalomey is a great actor, but it's like they had
to push every single button all the way to that
final scene in the movie to show just you know,
his wide range of acting. And to me, the story
was so disjointed. I was just I was exhausted at that.

Speaker 4 (01:19:42):
I don't know. I don't know if it's just because
like you know, I'm an athlete and like I'm a
sports chick, and like I wanted more ping pong, yeah,
like like more cow bell. I wanted more ping pong.

Speaker 3 (01:19:52):
Before he didn't get he was an adamant's table tennis.

Speaker 2 (01:19:55):
You know, it's not like pink whatever. I know by
the way train dreams to me, it was phenomenal. Uh
slow movie. Uh it's nominated for Best Picture. Maybe not
everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was just
a masterfully capped, cultivated movie. So anyway, all right, So
I'm trying to catch up on all your parties here.

Speaker 3 (01:20:14):
So I mean, I don't know, I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
Not hosting it.

Speaker 4 (01:20:18):
I was just I was invited to it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:20):
You seem to be at it everywhere, are you like
on everybody's guest list. I'm like, if we're gonna have
a little party, Anita's gotta be there.

Speaker 4 (01:20:28):
I am kind of fun to hang out with Steve.

Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
There.

Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
You go, like if you came to New York, you
might just text me and be.

Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
Like, hey, I might do that.

Speaker 4 (01:20:37):
First of all, let's meet for you know, a bottle
of wine, not a glass, a bottle.

Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
It's been a couple of years since I've been in
New York. I'm a little fraid in New York. This year. Yeah,
I won. I had a stretch why I won several years.
I brought my boys We hung out for a whole week,
just the three of us, hanging out with my boys.
At that in New York was fucking from an I
took my daughter to my first ever Broadway play. We
went to see Wicked. I never seen a probably play.
We saw it together. Nita loved the time together. As usual.

Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
All good, my friend, all good stuff. Keep it here
on Fox Sports Radio.
