Speaker 1 (00:05):
This is Straight Fire with Jason McIntire.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
What is up Straight Firepam, It's me Jason McIntire, Straight
Fare for Tuesday, May the thirteenth, and this is going
to be an action packed show. Ladies and gentlemen. Oh
my gosh, some great news, some not so great news,
some terrible news. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
We NBA is getting crazy. It officially has become bonkers
given what happened Monday night and then also in the
draft lottery. I will I'm going to start here. So
you know, I joined this men's league thirty five and up.
We should have won the championship last year. Your boy
was hurt and then we lose. I'm not blaming it

(00:49):
on my injury. I played like one minute. I could
barely run anyways. So we had a game Monday night
and it was during Nick Celtics, and as usual, I'm
watching the game, Nicks fall behind. Jason Tatum's absolutely cooking.
And then I get to the gym and I listen, man,
I listen. I love my Knicks, but I got warm up.
Your boys gotta get ready get loose. So of course

(01:09):
first quarter starts, I go to the scorers. Guys, I'm like, yo, yo,
what's the score, and they're like tied at eighty three.
I was like what the Knicks came back. I mean
it was just, you know, the Garden was buzzing, but
Boston just kept giving up the lead. I mean, they
could not pull away despite Tatum having an otherworldly game.
He finished with forty two and at this point, you know,

(01:30):
we're in a heated game. I struggled out of the gate,
I think zero for three in the first half. I
had a shot blocked by this guy who's terrible. It
was embarrassing. I cooked this guy on the perimeter and
I'm driving in and I just don't have the lift
anymore and I start got blocked. I was like mortified.
It was like, oh my, that never happens.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Trust Anyways, fourth quarter, close game and I caught fire
hit three bombs and then Liner chipped in a few bombs.
He's on the squad, he's got a pretty jumper man.
They don't want to guard Liner on the perimeter and
he's just splashing. So I just forget got about the
Nick Celtics game. And you know, we get the dub
win by like I don't know, eight or ten they're good.

(02:07):
They have one awesome player who usually plays with us,
but I'm not gonna get in the story. He'll be
with us next season. Anyways. A guy on our team's
a huge Celtics fan. He's like, I can't believe the
Celtics blew it again. This is before I could even
check my phone. And now it looks like Tatum's done.
And I was like, what They're like, yeah, probably an achilles.
And at that point, like, listen, guys, I'm a huge
Knicks fan. You know this. I grew up. First two

(02:29):
games I went to where Nick Lakers, one in LA,
one in New York. I was fortunate enough. My dad
rarely had business trips, but he took one to LA.
The family went and he, you know, somehow he pulled
off the Lakers Knicks tickets. I don't know, And of
course I was just a Knicks fan. I got Patrick
Ewing's autograph. I think I told a story. We went
to a Macy's in DC and Patrick Ewing was there
signing autographs. And yeah, he wasn't the warmest friendliest guy,

(02:51):
Patrick Ewing, but whatever, I was a Ewing fan. I
got a Patrick Ewing jersey. But I like me some
Jason Tatum. I just I'm a huge fan of his work,
his work ethic. Remember we had his trainer on the
pod I think two or three years ago. Tatum does
everything right, he seems like a very nice human being,
easy to root for, and he goes down with what

(03:13):
appears to be an Achilles. The Celtics they were on
the trail to blow it before that, and I know
everybody's opening with the draft lottery, but I just I
need to say this is devastating. As I record this,
you know, Warriors just lost to the Timberwolves. So it's
about one o'clock East Coast time. We don't know if

(03:33):
it's an Achilles, but it looks like an achilles. Hopefully
only a partial and not the full on. But the
way Tatum was reacting it looked pretty devastating. Guys, I
don't think you realize Achilles, Like you know, I know
Aaron Rodgers thinks it's like, oh, I'll be back in
five months. Yeah, Like just stop. This is like an
eight to ten month injury. Okay, it's may even if

(03:55):
he waits to have surgery a couple of days. We're
looking at no Tatum for until at least after the
All Star break, and there's a chance even then, it's like, well,
let we don't want to re injure it. Let's just
wait and so listen. Obviously you got to pay your
respects to Tatum, who first Team All NBA Superstar. You

(04:16):
guys can say what you want about the guy. I
think he's a great player. Okay, he's done, Boston's done.
And this is the one I didn't hear people talking about.
But the idea that the Celtics can all of a
sudden trade for Yannis, this majorly complicates things. Okay, nobody's

(04:37):
trading for Jason Tatum off an Achilles. And if you're like, okay, fine,
well you don't want to trade them anyway, you trade
Jalen Brown. Okay, So Janni's is going to Boston, which
won't have Tatum for the first year. So it's like
wasting a year of Janni's. I don't know. I need
to fully think it through, but I'm telling you, does
this remove the idea of the Celtics getting Tatum, sorry,

(05:00):
getting Giannis to pair with Tatum. Now you could say
I think we had a guest on last week, Gary
Washburn in the Globe who said, why wouldn't you keep
Tatum and Brown and trade the other stuff? And I'm like, well,
Milwaukee probably doesn't want the other stuff, so it complicates things.
And the Yannis trade options. There's not a lot of them.
There's probably only half a dozen teams that makes sense.

(05:21):
You can trot out the Utah Jazz and all you
want and like, you know, the Brooklyn Nets, but he's
not gonna want to stay there. I don't think the
Bucks are going to do that to him. So the
Celtics are just an unbelievable turn of events. They as
big favorites, they'd lose and are now down three to
one against the Knicks. Nown I don't think it's fully over,

(05:43):
but I do think with Tatum out and the way
Brunson played, I mean, Brunson was spectacular. This is the
game they've been waiting for for Brunson. I don't know
what happened in Boston's defense, but the Knicks shot fifty
four percent from the field, just unbelievable. They crashed the
offensive glasshard Mitchell Robinson. Interestingly, Mitchell Robinson attempted zero free throws.

(06:06):
Does this mean the Celtics were not gonna hacker Mitchell Robinson.
I don't know. Very interesting decision there by Boston not
to hack Robinson, which seemed to work last game, but
this was a complete Hey, this is why we gave
up five first for Michal Bridges, who I believe had
ten in the fourth. Og Arnobi was excellent. He had

(06:28):
twenty points, Cat twenty three, and then Brunson thirty nine
and twelve unguardable. And it's weird because Boston's got Derek White,
Boston's got Drew Holiday, Boston's got Jalen Brown. These are
three great defenders. So what happened, Well, a lot of
it is we get to switch on to Horford. But
the other and I'm telling you, guys, the run to
the finals wear's you down. We saw Denver collapse last

(06:52):
year against Minnesota. It's tough to get back to the finals.
Nobody's done it. I don't think since the KD Warriors.
It's really difficult. And the Celtics are looking a little
tired now. They did hit eighteen threes, Tatum went nuclear
with forty two, but like Al Horford's looking his age,
Porzingis still doesn't appear fully healthy. Baeyton Pritchard didn't hit

(07:16):
a million threes. I'm sorry, Luke Cornett, He's not that guy.
And Boston, which had an incredibly deep team, is showing
hey man, the NBA is making it really hard for
teams to keep the act together. And it looks like
the Celtics are gonna have to make some moves. Now.
They could just say, hey, forget about Giannis, let's go
on the periphery. You make certain moves here. Do they
get in the mix for Kevin Durant. I don't know

(07:38):
how he fits there. I don't know that he would
want to go there. But just a fascinating turn of
events is the Knicks outscore Boston by fourteen in the third,
they drop a seventy burger in the second half. The
Celtics giving up seventy and a half to me says,
that's a tired ass team and they are worn down
mentally physically, And I don't know how you bounce back
from this Tatum thing. Nixon control and we're gonna get

(08:00):
a rematch of Nicks Pacers, I believe, in the Eastern
Conference Finals next up now they played last year in
the semifinals. Pacers got him in seven. Now, that I
was doing some research. Okay, you know I like the
gambling angle. So the Knicks had home court advantage in
that series. They win game one, Brunson as forty three.
The Knicks win game two as well, Pacers stormback win

(08:21):
game three. I want to say that was the game
where what's his name hit a long three pointer very late. Yeah,
Indy was down heading into the fourth. Knicks were looking
at a sweep. Let me see who it was. Somebody
out there. It might have been Nemhard who had a
rough game, but Halliburton was great. Now what Anyways, So

(08:41):
then the Pacers win Game four. They crushed the Knicks,
so it's tied it to Knicks win game five. So
Knicks are up three to two with home court advantage.
They lose Game six, and then in game seven bruns
It gets hurt and they lose the series at home.
But then I looked a little closer. Okay, so we
know the Pacers are good. They had six guys average
double figures in that series. Six the starting lineup and
then TJ McConnell. Knicks defense was horrific. Then you look

(09:05):
at the Knicks, are you ready? After Brunson, the second
leading score was Dante Devincenzo, bolstered by a thirty nine
burger in the seventh game. Third leading scorer was og Nnobi.
I could give you ten guesses and you couldn't guess
who the fourth leading scorer was. He's not on the Necks.
I don't even know if he's in the freaking league anymore.
Alex Burks, Alec Brooks. I'm sorry, Alec Brooks, Sorry, so sorry,

(09:29):
my friend. He was on the Miami Heat to end
the season this year. Alec Brooks was the fourth leading
score in the next last year in that series. Okay,
replace Devincenzo with Bridges, replace Burks with Karl Anthony Towns. Okay,
this is a very different Knicks team. I think the

(09:50):
Knicks win the series. Guys, I think the Knicks might
be going to the fines. And you know, I like
the Pacers.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
All right, now, let's get to first of all, I
don't even think I need do I need to talk
about the Warriors losing. There's nothing there. Golden State played
their butts off in the first half. Anthony Edwards came
out and eviscerated Golden State. In the third quarter, the
Wolves had a seventeen to zero run and it was
a rap. Like Julius Randall is back to being a stud. Now,

(10:31):
Warriors fans are like, oh, that's the guy who murdered
the Lakers. Randall with thirty one. Just a spectacular game
from Julius Rental. Anthony Edwards had thirty, including six threes,
and the Warriors they're out of gas. Jonathan Kuminga led them.
Jimmy Butler looked like a guy who played his butt
off to try to win Game three, and they could

(10:52):
not pull it off. I mean, he just had nothing
left in the tank. It was disappointing from Butler. He
ends up with a mere fourteen points, very uncharacteristic. Took
nine shots. I mean, Pods is jacking shots. POD's checked
fourteen shots. Draymond Green trying to score I mean, like
fourteen points off fourteen shots, Like guys, and I put

(11:13):
this out there on social and I know it was
gonna get blowback. So Draymond Green's a Hall of Famer.
He's an all time great defensive player. He's obviously very
very good. We know that he's had a great career.
In the last couple of games without Steph Curry, he
looks kind of sort of pedestrian. There's really nothing there

(11:34):
now he is on the older side, and I don't
want to say Steph Curry made him. That's not nice.
Draymond Green obviously a high IQ player, one of the
smartest players in the last fifteen years, a great defender.
But I just I don't know what his career is.
If he goes to Charlotte in the draft, I don't
know what his career is. If he's in you know,

(11:55):
Cleveland without Lebron, you know, if he's in Brooklyn, like,
I just I don't I don't know what his career's like.
But I'll tell you this, I don't know that he's
a Hall of Famer without Zeph Curry. And listen, I
don't want to take shots, but you know, Klay Thompson, guys,
how's he looked without Curry. Now. Curry is just one
of those guys who changes everything. And it sucks that

(12:16):
he went down and the Warriors are now down three
to one. I don't think Curry will try to force
it back in Minnesota, and I think the series over.
So we're looking at Minnesota the six against Okac. Now
that's tied to two to two. I don't want to
discount Denver, but Denver's the one. I'm sorry, Okac is
the one. Minnesota is the six, and the Nixon Pacers

(12:38):
are the three versus the four. I don't think anybody
had a Nick PACER's Conference Finals. Okay, everybody had Celtics.
A lot of people had Calves, and I was included.
I thought Celtics. Those Celtics futures are toasted. And now
let's get to the big story, which I don't want
to say broke the internet, but the NBA Draft lottery

(12:59):
has changed the formula to prevent teams from tanking. And
this change in formula has kind of been interesting because,
wouldn't you know it, dating back to twenty nineteen when
they installed this new formula. Do you want to guess

(13:21):
how many times the team with the worst record has
won the lottery since twenty nineteen zero zero. Now teams
are tanking, they're just not getting the first pick, and
you feel I guess you could feel bad for Utah, Washington,
and Charlotte who had the best odds. Each of them
had a fourteen percent chance and none of them were

(13:44):
in I mean, this is crazy saying none of them
were in the top three. They all had the best
chance to win, and Charlotte ended up at four, Utah five,
Washington six. Of course, look who won the lottery. The
Dallas Mavericks. Now now, now everybody wants to have fun,
and I had fun with it as well. If you

(14:06):
go on my ig, the Dallas Mavericks a few months
ago traded Luca Doncis to the number one market in
the NBA. Nico Harrison was pilloried, just crushed by fans,
media everywhere. What is this idiot doing? How would he
hand the Lakers a superstar? Everybody was angry. So the

(14:27):
joke goes, well, yeah, Adam Silver said, hey, can we
get a major star to la with Lebron in his
final days and we can get your Cooper flag in return?
How does that sound? And everybody wants to say that's
how it went down. Now, that to me, obviously is
fun to talk about. And ha ha ha. It gets

(14:48):
a little deeper. Now. Somebody did the digging and started
to look into it. So do you remember when the
lebron took the Calves so far and they were awesome,
and they go to the finals and lose, and that
he leaves the Miami Heat. The Calves would go on
to win the draft lottery and get Kyrie Irving. It's

(15:09):
almost like the NBA was doing them a solid. But Jason,
come on, why are you being conspiracy theory guy? Anthony
Davis tells the Pelicans, I'm out, get me to bleep
out of here. I want to play for the Lakers.
I don't want to go anywhere else. Anthony Davis, like
was Boo to New Orleans. When he was on New Orleans,
it was ugly. At the end, leaves the Pelicans, goes

(15:30):
to the Lakers. Wouldn't you know what? The Pelicans win
the lottery and land on Zion Williams said, I mean,
it's just, you know, superstar leaves a team for the Lakers.
Let's give him Zion Williamson. Next thing you know, Luka,
Donc just traded the Lakers and a few months later
the MAVs win the lottery. Cooper Flag, I'm just saying

(15:51):
the Dallas Mavericks had a one point eight percent chance
to win the lottery. Won it. Now, somebody did say
this was the longest long shot since the Bulls had
a one point seven percent chance to get Derek Rose
and they did the hometown kid. And this, of course

(16:14):
was the fortieth anniversary of the Frozen Envelope Draft, where
the Knicks landed the superstar Patrick Ewing coming out of Georgetown,
my favorite player when I was a young guy. Folks,
the NBA can deny all the conspiracy theories they want.
This is all anybody's gonna say, and you can't do
anything to get them to to say. No, I do

(16:37):
I think it was rigged? No, probably not, probably not.
Come on, guys, really, it does seem a little fishy
that Dallas Dallas with a super long shot. I saw
stat that this was the first time Dallas ever improved
their draft standing in the lottery, Like they had never
gone higher than they were expected to and this was

(16:59):
the time that that happened. Okay, it does feel a
little interesting. Now here's where it gets super interesting. You
go look at that MAVs roster. They've already got Anthony Davis,
They've already got Daniel Gafford, They've already got Derek Lively,
you got three bigs, Kyrie Irving. What does Dallas do

(17:25):
this offseason? I mean there are the opportunities are endless,
and frankly, I saw this online. Don't be surprised if
Dallas gets into the Jannis sweepstake. And here's why. Back
in the day, Dallas signed the brother of Giannis, not
Thanis coastass whoever that is, back in twenty eighteen, to

(17:46):
a two wave deal. This is not abnormal. The Lakers
signed the Theanas Thanis Dano's whatever his name is, and
the nick sign him as well. Everybody was hoping, hey,
if we get Yannis's brother, maybe Yannis will come here.
But Dallas was involved in that. Does Dallas say, hey,

(18:07):
we love Cooper Flag, but we remember all Nico Harrison
has said is we are built to win now. With
Kyrie and with Anthony Davis, we're built to win now. Well,
if you're built to win now and that's the goal,
you want to go get Yannis, Cooper Flag is setting
you up for the future. So do you want to
go after Giannis or do you want to say, you

(18:27):
know what sucks, Let's build around Cooper Flag and Derek
Lively two bigs and let's see what we get for
Anthony Davis. I don't I mean listening now. Anthony Davison
and Nico Harrison have a relationship dating back years. But
anything is on the table if you're the Dallas Mavericks.

(18:47):
The most interesting team in the state of Texas was
supposed to be the Houston Texans this summer. I'm sorry
the Houston Rockets this summer. But do you know who
got the second pick in the draft? Guys, it was Houston.
It was the San Antonio Spurs. I hate this coward
keeps being like, oh, it would be great if the
Spurs could get Cooper flygf No, the Spurs win the

(19:09):
lottery all the time. David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Victor Winbino.
That's not fair. Give someone else a shot, Give Charlotte
a chance, and yeah, I'll say it. I'll say it.
In sports media, guys, how often have we seen dudes
who get run out at one network, go to another,

(19:30):
get a chance, then go to another and get a chance,
they go to another. There's guys out there who have
been at every network. They just keep failing upward and
everybody gives them a chance. Why don't y'all want to
give other people a shot? Similarly to hey man, why
do we need the Spurs winning every draft lottery? Like,
I'm not asking you to give it to Toronto, but like,

(19:52):
it'd be nice if Charlotte or Washington won won a
draft lottery at some point, wouldn't it. I mean, the
Wizards have never been.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
I was in DC when they had Chris Weber and
Juwan Howard and I was like, oh, this is the
squad day never went anywhere. Then they get Michael Jordan
and it's like ough, that was a disaster. Then they
had Gilbert Arenas that ended in gunplay in the locker room.
And no, I haven't seen the Netflix special or whatever
the documentary is, but I do want to watch it because,

(20:33):
as I said on The Herd Monday, I was in
New York City playing in men's leagues and at the time,
Gilbert Arenas was starting to blow up in DC, and
so I got a Gilbert Arenas jersey and it was
like kind of one of the older ones from like
two thousand six, five or six, And I just loved Arenas.

(20:58):
They called him the Hibachi at the time. You guys
know him as being a podcast guy, but I'm telling
you he was a scoring machine. I saw him talk
about this that Jason, not Jason, Michael Jordan in a
game was out the night before a game, was out

(21:19):
until like two o'clock or three o'clock in the morning, gambling,
and that story was out there, and Gilbert Arenas saw
that and said, oh, I'm sorry, it wasn't Michael, No,
it was Kobe Bryant. Kobe with the Lakers was just cooking,
but he was pissed off at his team, and you know,
he was just not putting in the effort. And I
guess Gilbert Arena said, oh, Kobe's disrespecting, he's down in

(21:40):
the clubs, he's doing what And I'm gonna give him
sixty And then he hung sixty on Kobe the next night.
I'm just telling you, Gilbert Arenas back down from No. One,
probably to a fault. If you had Jason top five
guys you'd want on the pod, Gilbert A. Reenas would
be one of the guests as long as I'm not
in the same room, because I got some tough questions,
you know, I want to ask him. Obviously he's very
good at his podcast, but like, I love Gilbert a

(22:01):
Reenas and I rocked that jersey going two Men's league games. Yes,
twenty something year old Jason was a jackass, but you
already knew that I would be on like on the subway,
you know, gun show where my Gilbert Arenas jersey straight
from work, and uh yeah, I thought it was cool. Anyways,
as soon as soon as the gun thing happened, I
literally donated the Gilbert Areenas jersey to like get Goodwill.

(22:23):
You bring stuff to Goodwill to get out of your closet,
and I put the Gilbert Areenas jersey in there. I
was too embarrassed. I was like, dude, are you kidding me? Anyways,
it would have been nice if Washington won the lottery,
So at the top of the lottery, Dallas can do anything.
The Spurs your second. Now I got that. Fox asked
me for a mock draft, so I'm gonna be sending
it in later this morning. I have them going Ace
Bailey from Rutgers, but bottom line is san Antonio now

(22:47):
as a very valuable pick, they too could make some
sort of trade to make a run at you know,
put x free agent who fits in. I don't know.
I'm just gonna keep mentioning Kevin Durant, Saty he could
surface there. Who knows san Antonio. If they got to
make the playoffs in year three for Wemby right, they
were on track. They traded for Dearon Fox, then the

(23:08):
blood pot kind of killed him. Okay, you got the
back court of Fox and Castle, You've got a great
shooter in Vassal, Devin Vassel, Harrison Barnes is solid, and
you've got Victor Woman Yama. So, like you know, they
don't have a complete roster, but I would say that
their backcourt is pretty set given Castle was the Rookie
of the Year and Victor Woman Yamo was the Rookie

(23:30):
of the Year of the year before that. I mean, guys,
there is a good Spurs team and now they have
the number two pick. Do you want to add a
veteran piece or do you want to add an Ace Bailey.
My only problem with with Harper the Ron Harper's son,
who was excellent a Rutgers Uh do you do you
draft him with Castle and uh deeron Fox on board.

(23:54):
I don't. My guess would be no, But I again,
Spurs are in great shape. It you know, what's perceived
to be a very good draft, wouldn't you know it?
Two teams in the West are at the top of
the lottery. Now number three is the Sixers. They're interesting
as well because they kind of punted on this year,
which was smart. Which remember the Dallas Mavericks last year

(24:16):
punted after the Kyrie Irving trade. They were like, hmm, yeah,
we're not gonna make the playoffs. This is not going well.
Why don't we tank to keep our pick? And they
end up getting Derek Lively. I'm sorry, this was two
years ago. They end up garying Derek Lively and they
go to the finals. Lively was a huge factor in
that run. Tanking work to keep your pick. So this

(24:40):
year the Sixers, I heard somebody joke that they were
called the Philadelphia Top Sixers because they needed to finish
in the top six to retain their draft pick. Well,
it worked and they finished with the third pick. Now
they're really fascinating because they've got Joel Embiid, who you
guys know, I'm not the biggest fan of He's gonna
be having an offseason surgery. They have the young kid,

(25:04):
Tyrese Maxey, who is showing out. He's very good. He
looks like an All Star caliber player for the rest
of the next five ten years. He's excellent. Jared McCain,
the gunner from Duke, was heading toward Rookie of the
Year before he got injured. Paul George is still on
the roster. You add another elite player and this team
could easily be in the conference finals next year. I

(25:25):
think the bigger issue is what do you do with
Joel Embiid? Can Will anybody take Embiid? I don't know.
I'm looking at his contract the Hoops Hype if you
care about this stuff, the hoops Hype website has a
salary for every single team, and when you look at
Joel Embiid's salary, you kind of vomit in your mouth

(25:45):
if you're a Sixers fan. I mean, he's due fifty
five million, fifty nine million, sixty four million, and then
in two thousand and eight, twenty twenty nine, Joel embid
would be doing sixty nine dollars. Guys, he looked cooked
this year, like I don't know if he could go
back to being the old guy. And he's still got

(26:07):
four years with Oh that's an ungodly amount of money.
Not great Hornets, who I thought would have been great
for Cooper Flag. They're at four, followed by Utah at five.
I'll have the mock draft up. But just a shocking
turn of events the Mavericks. I guess they. I guess

(26:31):
they made a deal with Adam Silver to move up
in the draft. But I bet you, I bet you
won't hear the Lebron Calves Kyrie ad Pelican Zion. I
bet you won't hear that anymore. I didn't. I haven't
heard it anywhere I was. I'm an NBA draft nerd.
I've been doing mock draft forever and I remember these things.

(26:51):
And as a Knicks fan with the frozen envelope, that's
a legendary. But that's a little different than this one.
This is like, straight up, it's almost like a grift.
Hey man, we want to get off Luca. Can you
get his Cooper Flag deal? Like, I can't imagine the
NBA cutting that deal. But man, it's fascinating thing about

(27:12):
so the Mavericks. Now they weren't gonna be great next year.
I you know, no Kyrie for much of the season,
You'll probably be back All Star. I think he had
an achilles as well, my gut, I don't think you well,
I guess you could have Cooper Flag and Anthony Davis.

(27:33):
Why not? You could try that, But we know guards
and wings dominate this league. Jalen Brunson is carrying the
Knicks in the playoffs. Tyrese Halliburton is the leader of
a really good balanced Pacers team that features a lot
of wings and guards. The Knicks don't even have a
traditional center. Carl Anthony Towns is not now. Rudy Gobert

(27:54):
is still in the mix, and the Thunder have the
Hartenstein Chet combo, but I don't know that that's been
hugely pivotal to them. And don't tell me rob g
that they're slowing down Yokic. So ultimately, this is a
guard league, guys. You know that. Look what the Warriors
look like without Steph Curry. I mean, so it's a
good guard draft, but Cooper Flag is at the top.

(28:14):
So it's this off season it's gonna be so good.
I need what I need to do is everybody now
is rushing to the trade Jannis trade, KD Space. I
feel like I've already been all over that I've floated
all the best stuff. I need to find a new
star who could be on the move. I keep coming

(28:35):
back to Jim Harden. I'm sorry, James Harden, but I
don't really have anything. You know, Miami wants to get involved,
but I don't really see who they have to trade
what uh bamada Bayo? But then you have nothing outside
of whoever you trade for Tyler Hero, I don't know
what he fetches on the market. Zion is a big name,
but let's be real, guys, Zion hasn't done shit. He's

(28:56):
always hurt. And so you look around the league and
I'm like, I I don't have anything super duper spicy.
I mean, you could get really crazy and be like, hey,
the Nuggets need to get off Jamal Murray, and you
know that's the one guy they can, you know, maybe
package him and Marko Porter Junior because ain't nobody taking

(29:18):
Michael Porter Junior. So I gotta find a new one.
If something tells me. The Detroit Pistons are super happy
with their season, and they want to build on it,
and I think they may be going big game hunting.
We'll see. It's early. It was a spectacular night, and
you know I I The last topic is U Nick
Cox of the soccer team we own. I didn't talk

(29:40):
about it. They had a playoff game Sunday night. It
went really late and ultimately in like the ninety six
minutes stop. It just the most ridiculous series of events
eliminated us from the playoffs. We were advancing to the semifinals.
I was super giddy, and I'm not quite ready to
talk about it. It was a gut punch, and so
I need one more day before right before I dive

(30:00):
into that. So I'll talk a little about that tomorrow.
But thanks for listening. Talk to you then.
