Speaker 1 (00:20):
Sean mcdonaght to join us in about fifteen minutes, hours
before he calls Game one of the Stanley Cup Final tonight.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
You thought I was gonna say final. It happens.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
We float back and forth. It happens all the time.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Well I usually do, and don't be surprised if I
do it again. I mean, but for right now, this segment,
and this segment alone, it is the Stanley Cup Final.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Sean mcdonaght to join us.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
He is calling the Stanley Cup, of course, tonight at
eight o'clock on ABC. We also have Dominique Foxworth and
Mike Olok. The NFL took over yesterday. We'll have them
an hour number two. But is he We are just
a day away from the beginning of the NBA Finals.
Taylor has been waiting for this his entire life. I've
been waiting for this since nineteen ninety nine. I guess
(01:04):
the Knicks appearing back in the NBA Finals, and I'm
starting to get a little nervous because Nick fans feel
so confident about their chances of winning this series, Taylor
being one of them, by the way, that I'm trying
to convince myself, and I'd be open to anyone convincing
me as to why the Knicks aren't going to win
the NBA Finals, because I don't like how confident in
(01:25):
cocky I feel personally as a Knicks fit.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
Yeah, you let enough time pass and all of a sudden,
a huge underdog people can convince themselves that they could win. No,
I think sort of. I don't know if it's the
betting public. I don't know if it's the just the
public in general and their rooting interest because we you know,
we talked earlier in the week.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
About what is this Tuesday?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
We talked yesterday about so we spoke yesterday.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Yeah, we talked yesterday about how this feeling a little
bit like well, Wemby and the Spurs feeling a little
bit like the ninety one Bulls when they played against
the Lakers, where it was just like I kind of
want to see him finish the deal, but I also
don't want to see what happens after this because he's
gonna win every single one. And I think with that
thought process, a lot of people are just like, you
know what, I can delay the satisfaction of watching this
(02:14):
alien win a bunch of championships if it means I
get the number one market in the NBA. Sure to
celebrate a championship, and whether or not they celebrate it
with you or they you know, stick it to you
like most fans do, it will be fun to witness.
And so I think I think that's kind of where
we're at right now, where got enough people convincing themselves
(02:35):
that the Knicks.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Can win and it's just sort of jarring everybody.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
I got a text from George Sodana in our Basketball
oh No and our basketball group text, and he said,
am I taking crazy pills? Because I've got this? All
the media is saying the Knicks are going to win?
And I was just like, when would you take crazy pills?
And does it make you feel crazy? It doesn't make
other people feel crazy, but anyway is.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
He feels weird because on one side, you have Knicks
fans feeling very confident and there's also the other side
of that where it does feel like there has been
the initial narrative like whoever comes out of the West
is just gonna beat the Knicks. So Knicks fans, I
feel like are overcompensating for that and coming up with anything.
For me as a Nick fan, it kind of comes
down to can Josh Hart make threes. If he does,
(03:17):
it feels like the Knicks will win the title. The
revelation this playoff has been the Knicks having the best
defensive rating, Like, I'm not too sure anybody could have
seen that coming as we were going through the regular season.
If we lose to a rookie guard and a second
year guard, I'll tip my cap to them and just
say they were the better team with the better player.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
It's interesting too, Like Dylan Harper, people are out and
I've already got this opinion of him as well. People
are already making him a star slash superstar, right, because's
a star he is at twenty years old doing these things.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Is pretty special.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
Even Stefan Castle is another one that people are just
saying is a great player, and you can't even find
a strong comp for him. Like I was trying to
think I was like, is he Is he a potential
like Dominique Wilkins if he was a more aggressive scorer
because he's so explosive? Is and I just I couldn't
really think of a great one. And it's and because
they've got Wemby who we've never seen before, it's just
kind of hard to figure them out. Like they're obviously great,
(04:12):
but there's really no historical comp for this makeup of
this team.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Mikey A.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I saw your reaction there when Taylor said he would
just tip his cap to the young guards of the
San Antonio Spurs.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
No, we won't. Is that what you were thinking? I
absolutely will not. He will do. He will make every excuse,
he will blame something. He won't just say hey they
beat us.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
I will say they just beat us, and then I'll say, hey,
we're coming back next year even stronger. But is he?
Speaker 3 (04:39):
I saw this stat We're debating whether or not you
would tip the cap, so I would have a nice
little I don't think you will.
Speaker 6 (04:44):
I win with class, I lose with class. Right, We're
gonna win though with class?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Is he?
Speaker 6 (04:49):
Saturday was Harrison Barnes with the thirty fourth birthday right, right?
Saturday was Harrison barnes thirty fourth birthday. Yes, players to
play in a game s been on their birthday in
NBA history. After that game are now eight and oher
So I know what you're thinking. Game seven Nick Spurs
potential date June nineteenth. Does either player have a player
(05:13):
born on that date? Advantage Spurs. Emmanuel Miller. He's on
a two way contract with the Spurs. Now the caveat
is he's yet to play in a game with them,
and the player has to play in said game to
win said game.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
I'd start him.
Speaker 6 (05:28):
If the series goes seventh. Still, I think you have
to start am Manuel Miller.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
Wow, not for a second that I have a Manuel
Miller in my NBA Finals analysis.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
Thank you so much for that, Taylor. It's something we
will have to think about if this thing goes seven.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
The em and Miller stands for minutes. I mean, give
them to them.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Seriously, it's the greatest breakdown of a series I've ever
seen it.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
I was just gonna tell him the Corgi that bounces
the ball down the stairs pick the Spurs in seven.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
So that's what I'm going Well, but here's the breakdown.
Miller birthday play. Given the minutes, the Emmon Miller stands
for minutes, and I'll tip.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
My cap to the young guards if we lose.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
It's almost like a senior night in college basketball, where
you start the seniors no matter what, Like Carolina Duke
Carolina does it all the time. The walk Ons will play,
the walk on seniors will play. They wait for the
first dead ball. If the first dead ball doesn't come
for a while, Roy Williams or whoever's coaching North Carolina
will look at somebody and be like, hey, walk On,
(06:27):
you gotta foul. Somebody foul Jabari Parker right now. We
need you out of this game. So that's what I
think the Spurs have to do with the manual man.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
I left this part out of his breakdown.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Josh Hart, he just if he makes his baskets and
hits his jumpers.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
He has boiled it down to nothing.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
I mean, make or miss League's basically what the Bust
and Celtics are. Every playoffs run, right, It's just make
or miss there.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yes, but Draymond Green is not impressed with the New
York Knicks. Draymond Green had this to say, and perhaps
you know a part of this is accurate, and I
just don't want to hear it from him. But Draymond
Green has this to say on his own podcast about
The New York Next.
Speaker 7 (07:05):
I doubled down on this, just like Becky Hammon said,
prove me wrong, absolutely, doe down. Getting out of the
East has never been a short fire to win in
a championship.
Speaker 8 (07:17):
What y'all talking about? You get out of the East.
You're supposed to get out of the East ease. Of course,
you're supposed to get out of the East.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
That don't just me.
Speaker 8 (07:26):
You win a championship because you get out of the
East ease. Great Steve beat up Boston. You should get
out the East. Happy for Mike Brown, by the way,
but you shugar, get out of the East.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
I gained more knowledge learning about Emmanuel Miller in his
birthday than I did any of that clip.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Was the Mike Brown part necessary?
Speaker 2 (07:49):
There was?
Speaker 5 (07:50):
All that tells me is, oh, you spent your career
in the West. So there's your why your analysis is
what it is.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Getting out of the East guarantees you nothing.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
He is right about that, But you can't win the
championship without getting out of the East.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
I mean, what was even the question.
Speaker 6 (08:02):
And let's just clarify one thing here. Jalen Brunson has
more basketball talent in his pinky finger then Draymond Green
has ever had in his basketball career ever.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah, yeah, you're good. You get it out there.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
He bum Draymond and then just just just kept slapping something.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
If you watch the Kevin Hart roast, you can confirm
he's not funny ever.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
But Draymond thinks he's the funniest guy.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
I got somebody he needs, he needs. He surrounds himself
with yes man. Apparently somebody needs to tell him, dude,
you're not funny.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Uh, Sean McDonough. The Stanley Cup Final, Uh, it starts tonight.
It's Carolina, It's Vegas.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Vegas has lived quite the charmed hockey life. Huh.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Jesus belie.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
They won a Cup, they've been to two more, and
they've been around for like nine years.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Will take a quick time up.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
All right, thanks to Sean McDonough for joining us. Dominique
Foxworth Gold to join us, coming up in about ten
minutes to talk about all the trades that went down
and the moves that went down in the NFL yesterday.
Michael Luck Senior going to join us as well, and
we'll discuss some of that with him and the NBA Finals.
Is he We have two problems here. Taylor has a
problem and Mikeya has a problem, and we only have
(09:47):
time to solve one of them. Okay, and so I
am wondering which one do you want to solve. Taylor
has a problem with his apartment complex. Mikey has a problem.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
With one of his kids. Ooh, I feel like if.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
You have a no, sorry, well, it involves one.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Of your kids didn't do anything but be great.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Okay, in that case, I want Taylor's problem.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
I think yours is a longer problem, Mikey, that we
need to flesh out a little bit.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Okay, good call, is he?
Speaker 8 (10:13):
So?
Speaker 6 (10:13):
I got this email from my apartment building. We would
like to inform you that the pool is currently closed
until further notice due to a damage motor component that
requires replacement. We're actively working with a pool vendor to
complete the necessary repairs as quickly as possible, prioritizing this
matter to restore service promptly. We understand the inconvenience this
may cause and sincerely apologize. Thank you for your understanding
(10:36):
and patients as we resolve this issue. First off, they
thanked me for my understanding, but I'm not that understanding.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Patient because it's so hot outside.
Speaker 6 (10:49):
My rent was still due on the first in full,
and you guys know me. If I'm not here, I'm
at the pool.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
So I didn't know that.
Speaker 6 (10:57):
What would you guys be doing in this situation if
you were made bro.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
Quick side note, my partner happens to own a pool
company that can actually fix this for you, called Blue Pools,
So have your people.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Look that up.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Secondarily certain they have contracts in place, though you know
what those are month to month. Though those are month
to month.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
That was well done by you. Where to go? I
wish my wife had a company.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
But I would check your lease.
Speaker 5 (11:23):
I would have I would take a look at it
and see if they're promising you like pool time, because
if that's part of the then you should get a
pro rated discount, that's for sure.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
So if part of your rent is going towards the maintenance.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Of the pool, is he is right, you should subtract
that portion of your rent and not give it to
him this month.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I mean, that's what I would do.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
And by the way, the pool not working, it's it's
one thing, but the pool not working in June and July, it's.
Speaker 6 (11:51):
Get it after Memorial but god, I mean it's one
hundred and twenty five degrees out.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
What a terrible time.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
But yeah, you should look into more, you know, just
some way to get some money back. You should also
find a way into like other pools of nearby apartments
and like bring back complaints or comparisons and just like no, no, no,
if we're gonna pay for this, you're gonna have to
get this and this and this from these other companies.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
I thought you were.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Saying he should pool hop just go pull the pool
and jump in their pool.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Why not you can? Yes, I've done it, cannon Ball. Listen.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
They get thirty six hours to fix it.
Speaker 6 (12:27):
Then I start docking rent. We're outside the thirty six
hour window right now.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Really, then start docking me a favorite.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
I know I got free advertisement there for blue Pools,
but if you give me the current pool company that
they're using, we can trash them on the other side
of it and help Anthony even more.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
That's why you have the platform badgerom tailor badge of
the pool company and your apartment complex.
Speaker 6 (12:49):
And we also had a problem earlier where one of
the elevators was down for if they said appreciate your patients,
one of the elevators was down for months. So I'm
I'm not too sure how quickly this pool situation is
going to be resolving.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
That they don't care about you.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Oh there wasn't somebody in that elevator.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
They only care about your rent checks, which I already paid.
You shouldn't have.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I'm with Mikey start threatening you're not gonna pay anymore
until the pool's fixed. I mean, because have you seen
people working around the pool at all?
Speaker 6 (13:20):
No, But I'm thinking I should go and chain myself
to the pool.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
I should have asked about Mikey's kids.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Gross our thanks to Sean McDonough, Dominique Foxworth, and Mike
Golick Senior for joining us today Loaded Show. Izzy and
Taylor have taken us through their entire softball season and
flag football season. But last night was a playoff game
for your softball league.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
Yes, thankfully it was supposed to be a playoff game,
but they just pushed the playoffs back because there was
a lot of rained out game that.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Need to be made up. Okay, all right, so they
pushed it back, so no playoffs.
Speaker 5 (13:56):
No playoffs, regular season game. I showed up hoping that
we would have enough that I didn't have to play, right,
But you.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Were showing up for what you thought was a playoff game.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
I was showing up because yes, it was a possibility,
it was a playoff game, and I don't want to
be somebody who doesn't show up, especially if we need it.
And then you know we got there. We had exactly
ten so I had to play. Okay, sorry, yeah, yeah,
I mean I went to VP felt great. I think
I had a couple to the warning track.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
I wasn't apologizing to you, I was apologizing to everyone
else on the dam.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Yes, I'm not that.
Speaker 6 (14:25):
You don't have a hit yet, a lot.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Of people don't have a hits.
Speaker 6 (14:28):
You're over your career. And the team that we had
this game made up against might as well have been
murderers road man.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
It just line drive, line drive.
Speaker 6 (14:38):
They peppered us right with line drive after line drive
after line drive. We were down twenty to two. At
one point I looked, I looked at the ump and
I said, hey, I think you're supposed to call rue
role here.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (14:53):
And at one point it was like, at this point,
it's like twenty five to two. At one of the
innings they had to stop because they scored too many
runs against us. We're going out in the field for
like the fourth inning, which was completely unnecessary. And I
turned to Ian, I go, Ian, I'm not gonna lie.
I hope a ball doesn't get hit to me right
now because I want nothing to do with this. Because
(15:13):
the ball hadn't been hit to me at that point.
Right the second I said that, ping, yeah, ball comes flying.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
My way I'm screamer.
Speaker 6 (15:21):
Yeah, I'm like, oh no, I don't. I don't have this.
And I made a catastrophe of an error.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Right, but at that point, who cares?
Speaker 1 (15:29):
But up until that point, you were not responsible for
any of the twenty five runs that were giving up.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Huh yeah.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
But at that point, like I'm calling myself Andrew Jones,
it doesn't matter what the score is, Like, I have
to make a play. I made one of the worst
errors in the field. And the second I did all
I hear Ian screaming to Izzy. Make sure that gets
on the show.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
I said, I said, Ian, really, really, I'm supposed to
mock Taylor, me the guy who's out for four with
well not out for four, oh for.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Three with two strikeouts, right, yeah, but you s up?
I mean he showed up.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
I caught another little pup fly as a catcher.
Speaker 5 (16:04):
They moved me to the right field because our pitcher
was terrible and had to move to catchers.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
So what happened to the run rule?
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Because you're right, the ump should have called it, But
it feels like the ump wanted to see just.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
How bad it could get.
Speaker 6 (16:14):
I mean, eventually they did call it. Eventually they said
We're having mercy on these guys that are playing right now,
and we're gonna give them back maybe fifteen minutes of
their night.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Very nice of the yep, he just wants to get
home for dinner.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company Live.
Wheakda said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Pleased to be joined by the Great Dominique Foxworth Israel
goody Eras is terrified of having Dominique one, even though
they are friends. I have no idea what is going up.
What happened with you and Dominique during the draft.
Speaker 5 (16:49):
I don't even think Dominique knows what happened. Is probably
super busy, but yeah, you know. So I'm watching the
draft and we had just had Dominique. We just had
you on. Last time you had you on, and I
was like, okay, yeah fresh and his I can send
a text whatever, It's all good.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
And so I mean, you know, this draft night on
a Thursday.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
I don't I don't.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Remember if you're working the next day, but I was
pretty high and I'm sending it home.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
That's the day I gave you a pack of dogwalkers.
Speaker 5 (17:12):
It is yeah, and so I see this highlight clip
of this LSU.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Corner that got drapped.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Is it Lsu mansword delayey delay?
Speaker 7 (17:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Right, And I was like, I was watching the highlight
clip and I was like, this might be the worst
like highlight clip for a draft pick this high ever
because he's just sitting in his zone and doing absolutely
nothing pretty much every time. And I'm like, huh, this
is gonna be funny. Tomb Miniqu's the cornerback, He's gonna
get it. And so I'm sitting here recording the.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Package on the phone phrasing.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
Yeah, oh yeah, I've never actually done that, but on
the phone, and I sent it to him with a
long message and said, this might be the stupidest highlight
package I've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
And Dominique, because he's a nice.
Speaker 5 (17:58):
Guy, yes and he's super busy, just gave me the
ha ha on the quote. Right, And then I looked
and this is why I mentioned how high I was.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
I just took a photo, right, I.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
Didn't actually take a video, and so he's probably looking
at it like what is this dude talking about? And
so I said I sent the photo, didn't I with
you know this emoji the face, and I said, I
swear in my mind I was taking a video and
then I sent the video with an asterisk for fixed.
And this right now as we speak, is the very
(18:29):
next time Dominique has communicated me. He did not respond
to any of that crap and now probably doesn't remember
because he's like, what an idiot.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
This guy Taylor?
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Look at t look at TT's got a game for you.
He is listened, he is in his glory. The Nicks
have changed his life. Jalb brunts and has changed his
life Dominique Foxworth.
Speaker 6 (18:52):
They might really win a championship.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Yes, the experienced advantage you got.
Speaker 9 (19:00):
The one scary part is the Spurs do not have
somebody that you can hunt. There's nobody on that roster
for Jalen Brunson to hunt and just about any lineup
that they put out there. And of course Jalen Brunston
is a smaller guard, so he will be the one
that gets hunted. That's the scary part. And also like Cat,
(19:22):
Cat likes to get fouls. Yeah, we'dn't be going to
take him out. I guess OG's gonna be on it, right,
and nobody's gonna be on him a.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Little no, but you're right.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Cat's never been to this level before and whenever he
levels up, it's foul, foul, foul, foul, foul in like
five minutes.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (19:37):
They are a mid season champs though, right they beat
the Spurs for the end season tournament.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
So yeah, and we take that cup very seriously. We're
hanging a banner for it.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
I mean the rare season, Dominique, where we can win
not one, but two NBA titles.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
How about that? First time ever? I love it, so Stu.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
I was listening to the Dominique Foxworth Show and Dominique
mentioned Charlie we might have to go to the Garden
for the NBA Finals. Expensive And I heard that and
I texted Dominique. I said, if you take Charlie the Garden,
I will go on a payment plan until the rest
of the time for you to take.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Me away mortgage. What do you think, domma. I would
love to go.
Speaker 9 (20:19):
I mean, I haven't looked at the prices yet, but
I'm sure that they're stupid.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
It's going to be sick in right now.
Speaker 9 (20:27):
Yeah, I don't know that I can bring myself to
pay five thousand dollars for the nose bleeds or whatever.
Like New York money is a different type of money.
Maybe I'll I feel like it. It'll be cheapier, cheaper
to go to fly to San Antonio and get a
hotel and get nose bleeds. Well, I don't know that
the Knicks fans might go down there too and make
(20:47):
those tickets hell expensive.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
I don't know what I got to no limits to those.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
San Antonio is a lot more affordable. I can tell
you that much in terms of the ticket prices right now.
But again, the tickets for for the Knicks at the
Mecca is like thousand dollars for the worst seat. So
are you still gonna take Charlie? Because I promise Taylor
stuff like this all the time and I never follow through.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
So what are you gonna do?
Speaker 9 (21:08):
Yeah, I might need to take these strategies. I'm gonna
promise Charlie. And then how do you not follow through?
Do you just like forget about it? Or do you
make something up like what's the move? What's the next move?
After you promise that you're gonna do something for someone?
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Silent get out of it? Yeah, silence, and I hope
he forgets about it. That's what ghost.
Speaker 9 (21:25):
There's no way Taylor's gonna forget about it or Charlie,
I don't. So when they ask you then that was
the movie, you just like, yeah, it's coming, we got it.
Speaker 8 (21:32):
No.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
So here's the interesting thing. Taylor's never offered, Hey, can
you just frount me the money? He put me on
a payment plan for the remainder of time.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
I'll pay you back. Perhaps if he did that, I'd
buy him a ticket, you know, perhaps not.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Yeah, that's so different than what he said.
Speaker 6 (21:46):
Yesterday to Gotts's move would be sending me all the
way to Madison Square Garden telling me a ticket's there
at the box office and then responding the next day
when I get there and be like, hey, there was
never a ticket and be like they must have they
must have done something.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Or you went to the wrong window, right, yes, How
would like if you didn't have a ticket, Like I know,
Stu is the pro at talking his way into places
and reservations and all.
Speaker 9 (22:12):
Those sorts of things, how would you go about getting
into their Madison Square guard Because I know they have
like the most state of the art, like face recognition technology.
How in the world would you try to get into
that place without a ticket. Does anybody have master sneak
in capabilities? Because that's what I think, that's what me
and T T might have to.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Do, right, tell them you bring in you know, like
some sort of celebrity or something.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Right, I think that's the way in, Right, it's me
and the Jeters. You know, you think you think I
could pull off.
Speaker 9 (22:43):
I think my move might be because I think they
might expect the Jeters. I got two ideas, Bring a ladder,
Like that's always a good strategy to bring a ladder.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
It's like, yeah, old.
Speaker 9 (22:54):
James Jim needed me to fix something in his office,
and an ost and orange fest on top right.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Arvest and the ladder or what an odd time for
an appointment though.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Hey needs to be changed for the game.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
When you need a ladder, you need a letter, yes, right,
Or you could get.
Speaker 9 (23:11):
I feel like you just dressed like really nicely, like
really like.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
And get belong there. Yeah, yeah, just.
Speaker 9 (23:19):
Go suit and walk in and and and you have
to you can't go through the main entrance because there
is some sort of like media or special entrance. You
have to go to the special entrance, like the Player's
Interests entrance and go fully like in a suit and
tie with lots look like money and just walk. And
then this is where the acting comes in. You gotta
be so appalled.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Yes, if anyone stops you, yes, Or you could go
remember the Klay Thompson look alike. If you go full
like Harrison Barnes uniform and then they'd be like, wow,
I thought he was taller right through mister Barnes.
Speaker 9 (23:55):
You got to be the away team because the whole
team they might recognize. Or or you should get Carl
Anthony Towns jersey that says cousin on the back. Oh, no,
cousin might be too distant. Go brother, you gotta go
brother on the back and show up. I mean you're
gonna keep me out.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
I'm Cat's brother.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Okay, so what does it say? It says Cat's bro
on the back of the uniform. I feel like mom
and dads do that. Why can't I do a bro?
Speaker 3 (24:27):
You won a little.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Attention to Yes, I know you got Don't you have.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
A dad jersey? You have to have a dad jersey.
Don't you just do yeah jersey? That just says dad
on the back.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Of course I did, yes, but it doesn't say Karl
Anthony Towns's dad.
Speaker 9 (24:38):
It just says dad, you know, or you could get
in all the Northwestern games even when.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
They I gotta Seizon ticket to every sport at Northwestern
for the remainder of Tome Dominique.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Who of the two teams who made the big.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Trades yesterday, which team gave themselves a better chance of
winning the Super Bowl next season?
Speaker 9 (25:00):
I would love to be like the Contrarion and come
with some like really smart analysis and pick the team
that you're not expecting me to pick.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
But they just got Miles damn Garrett.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
I know.
Speaker 9 (25:11):
They got Miles Garrett to add to an already very
good defensive line. They got the best defensive player in
the league, a all time great defender. They got the
defensive Player of the Year from last season to add
to the last season's MVP. I saw some people pushing
back at how good this trade was for the Rams
because they gave up Jared Versus three picks and they're
(25:33):
gonna have to absorb a lot of Miles Garrett's contract.
But like, no, it's I don't give a shit. Is
it just became a huge Super Bowl? I mean they
were already Super Bowl favor Like this is yes, definitely
an f them picks. We're going all in. It's the
way that I love to see teams operate. And yeah,
I'm excited to see him on that team.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
All right, let's play Taylor's game here.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
Our contestant today is the former president of the NFL
Players Association, but he can never be the president of
the United States because he was born in Oxford, England.
Dominique Foxworth. Dominique, welcome to.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
One. Why the trade terrible? We were not in unison.
Let's try it again. Can we drive one more time? Please?
Speaker 6 (26:19):
Dominique, welcome to.
Speaker 8 (26:22):
One.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
Trade.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
Okay, we'll do.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
The trade is too Dominique, I was.
Speaker 9 (26:31):
Born on a military base. By the way, I couldn't
be so you could be president. I want to do
if I dance, I wanted to ruin the rest of
my life. I'm an inche for president. Let's get that started.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
You'd be a great president.
Speaker 9 (26:44):
Man.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
So many campaigns in there.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
I'm good, Dominique.
Speaker 6 (26:53):
The Rams received two time NFL Defensive Player of the
Year Miles Garrett, and the Browns received Jared verse If
first round draft pick in twenty twenty seven, a second
round pick in twenty twenty eight, then a third rounder
in twenty twenty nine. So Dominique, who one the TRADEY gotcha?
Speaker 9 (27:13):
Now I gotta figure out how So this is a
game show. This is not just the same question that
Stude asked me.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
No, you gotta stuff?
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Yeah, yeah, I should, I should have loved with something else.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
I the Browns won this trade, obviously.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (27:29):
I mean it's clear that the Browns won this trade.
They get a first round pick in they get Jared Burth,
who's only in the second year cost control player, who
is not a Miles Garrett, but he is a pro
Bowl level talent who's still very young and very cheap.
They also got another pick in next year's draft, which
is believed to be one of the best drafts for
quarterbacks coming up. They can compile picks to move up
(27:51):
to get someone, and they got two extra picks on
top of it. So what would you want more than
a first round pick? Because I think the thought was
you would get Miles Garrett for two first round picks,
you can get something better. It's the value of a
first round pick that you know has panned out. So
there's no risk with the Jared Verst acquisition. In the
(28:14):
same way, that there would be with another first round pick,
so they essentially got what they wanted.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
I'm already so over next year's draft being talked up
as this graft. I'm already it's gonna be overrated, and
I'm tired of hearing about it. I don't want to
hear about next year's draft until the next time I
text Dominique photo that's supposed to be a video.
Speaker 9 (28:34):
I'm just proud of myself for being able to play.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Both sides of the defense.
Speaker 9 (28:36):
Yes, that's all, if you're gonna ask me in game show.
I feel like they had to add a challenge to
the challenge was to lie to you and tell you
that I actually think that Brown's on the trade.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
I mean, there's a win win how about that?
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Oh win, the classic win win, Right.
Speaker 9 (28:52):
If Miles Garrett wasn't doing anything for the Brown might
as well move them.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
They were not gonna get any better.
Speaker 6 (28:58):
Yes, he moves on to the next round.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Wow, good job, next one up.
Speaker 6 (29:02):
The Patriots received wide receiver aj Brown and in return,
the Eagles got a first round draft pick in twenty
twenty eight and at twenty twenty seven, fifth round pick.
So Dominique, woo.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
What trade I did. Yeah, sorry, I am. Yeah, this
is a tougher one.
Speaker 9 (29:21):
It feels again like a sort of a win win,
which I feel like is a cop out.
Speaker 6 (29:26):
I might lose this game.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
Never mind, I'm gonna pick Struck.
Speaker 9 (29:30):
I will go with the Eagles won this trade because
I think A J. Brown at this point of his career,
if he is still in his peak, in his prime.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
It's only a year or two left of that.
Speaker 9 (29:42):
I think the Eagles have the playmakers. I really love Stours,
the tight end they guy in the draft as these
like six four two hundred pounds like receiving option. I
think they're going to be able to replace some of
AJ Brown's production with him and Mackay Lemmon, another player
that they drafted, and they got first round pick in
twenty twenty eight. I think that's valuable for a team
(30:03):
that always seems to draft well and wants to extend
their window as long as possible. It feels pretty clear
to me that the Patriots have decided, and rightfully so,
that they're at the end of this first round contract
with their quarterback and they're going all in to make
it happen. So it wasn't unwise, But if you ask
me which which team got away with more. I think
(30:26):
having getting a first round pick for AJ Brown, even
though it's not for next year, like, extends the window
a little longer in AJ Brown too, maybe three peak
years left in.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
Them and Dominique.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
If you listen to Stu Gotson Company during Super Bowl Week,
you would remember that I said this will be Drake
May's left super Bowl. Yes, he's got the same initials,
so he has the same faith as Dan Marino.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Yes, and will never win it.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
So AJ Brown, Sorry, but it's a loose connection, but
he did say that.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Yeah, you know, it's not a stretch.
Speaker 9 (30:54):
You look at all the quarterbacks in the AFC who
haven't made it to the Super Bowl yet, like Drake
May got there early in his career, and it'll be
tough to get back when those guys are all healthy
and have better teams around them.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
I gotta tell you, guys, Dominique is crushing this game.
I mean, is.
Speaker 6 (31:12):
They gotta have a first round.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
They have a first place schedule this year too.
Speaker 9 (31:15):
It's not gonna get away with beating up on bombs
like they did last year.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
Keep bringing that support, so they do they do have Hey,
they do have that division though, they are in that division,
which does help.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
Yes, So Dominique, you're onto round three.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Wow, you advanced. Yes.
Speaker 6 (31:30):
In two thousand and eight, the Broncos traded Dominique Foxworth
and Atlanta received a conditional seventh round drafting edition.
Speaker 8 (31:40):
You know.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
He was a pro bowler. I keep saying that.
Speaker 9 (31:48):
I mean, it's easy. The Falcons one that trade. One
hundred percent. Like I came down there and Brent Grinds
got hurt. I started a bunch of games with many
the playoffs. It's probably the best season of my Did
you get the condition? Did they get?
Speaker 3 (32:01):
And they got it?
Speaker 4 (32:02):
They got me for cheap too.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
It was good, good play.
Speaker 9 (32:04):
Then then the Ravens paid me a lot of money
and I got hurt.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
What was the condition? Did you have to like have
one interception or something?
Speaker 3 (32:11):
I can't tell you. Wow? The condition?
Speaker 5 (32:15):
Don't ever say anything ever again about our team.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
This is I'm going off the board here on the game.
I'm wondering if Dominique thinks that if Miles Garrett is
gonna kind of pull Aaron Donald out of retirement here.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Yeah, yeah, I mean it. I don't know.
Speaker 9 (32:31):
We see the workout videos of Aaron donald still popping up,
so he still seems like he's in shape. I can't
imagine being feeling like I could still play if I'm
Aaron Donald and watching this team and knowing that they
would take me back and not at least.
Speaker 6 (32:47):
Considering I'll pop up. I'm not come to training camp.
Speaker 9 (32:50):
I'll pop up around we can you know, I'll play
play myself back into shape and be ready for the
playoff run. Like I don't need any of the rest
of this nonsense. You don't got to pay me that much.
But another run, Mike, I can see Aaron Donalds showing
up for that.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
All right, Dominique, you advance of the big money rounds Baylor, Yeah,
no one ever.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
So here we go. We have one final question.
Speaker 6 (33:11):
For you, Dominique. The Minnesota Timberwolves received Dante DiVincenzo, Julius
Randall and a first round pick. The New York Knicks
received Karl Anthony Towns. Dominique, come on the tray, Yeah, yeah,
(33:31):
in the mix of one.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
That's sually.
Speaker 9 (33:32):
I mean, the Timberwolves did get what they wanted though.
They they got past the the Nuggets. That was what
they were building their ross, that to do so that worked,
Tim Connolly, however.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Not in a champions like the Knicks. Good job, Wait
to go? Do you know who?
Speaker 5 (33:47):
That draft pick ended up being? Somebody named Joan Behringer Barry.
That definitely helped them lose.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
That tree all right?
Speaker 1 (33:58):
The Dominique Foxworth Show wherever you get your podcast all
over ESPN as well. We appreciate it, buddy, Thank you
so much,
