Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to Fox Sports Radio. Good morning Buddy,
Happy Happy Happy Swartz Saturday to all across the nation,
Linking Kennedy, the Great h O F. Washington Husky, Oakland Raider.

(00:22):
I'm Anthony Gargano. We make up the Fellas Comedy Alive
from the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios. Fifteen minutes could
save you fifteen per cent more in car and shorts.
Just visit Geico dot com for a free rate. Quote. Oh,
big Lake, All those rams look good, A was Ammy Gavin,

(00:45):
my brother. Yeah, we're good, We're good, We're good. The
rams look really scary. The mouse hole throws down the field.
It looked like the you know from we were kids,
Remember when we were kids and the Rams had the
bombers like vig s Faragamo throwing these bombs. Certainly, now

(01:10):
you're absolutely right that the fact is that there's such
a concerted effort to slow down you know the backfield
that Todd Gurley that you know you've got three receivers
that know how to get open well, you know, to me,
Cooper Cup when he came out of Eastern Washington is
probably one of the more underrated slot receivers out there,
just nobody really knew about him or side, and of

(01:31):
course he is. He's been special since he's been in
the league, just knowing what he does. But um, it
goes to show you I'm not really big, you know,
because we talked about this, I'm not really big on
coaching on a personal level. I think it's slightly overrated.
But there is something to be said when you have
a system that can truly utilize the players abilities. And

(01:52):
I think that's what Jared Golf now has as opposed
to when he first came in the league. And that's
what you're seeing. Yeah, you're great, point And with that defense,
even though it's been hobbled by some manageries in the secondary,
with that defense, I mean you can because he because
the NFL, you know, is a sort of geared that
way anyways, you can get yourself in a shootout and

(02:12):
that's exactly we saw. That was a great Thursday night
football game because it was all offense. Yeah, no, it was.
It was a great game. It just was, and it
was great. It was great offense, but it was also
great offensive plays. There was exciting plays. What what made
that game so special? And let me just say it's
such a better broadcast when it's Fox, it just feels bigger.

(02:36):
I knew you were going there, Yeah, did you really? Yeah?
I mean it just feels bigger. And I'm not doing
the you know, the home down thing, but it just
feels bigger when you have you know, Troy and Joe
and and then you know, the whole gang, because it
just feels like an event, whereas what it's going NFL Network,

(02:57):
and it was the NFL Network crew in the NFL
that were production grew. It just felt small, right, It
just felt like now it feels like it's Wow, it's
and it feels big. And guess what I mean is
that with you what that that was a great exciting matchup,
you know where everybody's in on it. It looked beautiful,

(03:19):
like if you're on the East Coast like I am,
and you you turn it on and it's dark right
on the East coast and it's sunny on the West coast.
It's it's such a great feel like it just was
a great production. And you know, Jared Goff licking, I'm
shocked at how great he he has been playing and

(03:43):
how accurate. I like, even though we could throw the
football right, but man like the throws an I mean,
I didn't think he had some of the arm strength
to get the ball out and put it and he
really they were they were pillows, you know, through mouse holes. Well,
there was nothing. I mean, I haven't seen a better
throwing in quite a long time. When he was rolling

(04:03):
out to the right and he hit the he hit
the receiver. I think it was up on the back
of the ends, on the cornerback of the end zone
and dropped over the two Viking defenders. That was beautiful.
I I look, I had a pleasure of watching this
guy in college at Cow and I thought one of
the best throws that he had was a skinny post
in between a cover two defense, which is, you know,

(04:25):
it's what you're supposed to use, but sometimes you don't
want to get your receiver's head taken off. And I
mean he's he's worked at with a lot of throws
to a t. And in another part of it, like
I said, what all adds into it? Because I get
I get the philosophy. Now, if you don't, you know,
they'll take advantage of nickel and uh and they'll running
gets because you've got a big back. But when you

(04:46):
have your normal defense in and they have their normal
three wide receivers because they run out of that set,
then they're gonna take advantage of thrown in. And that's
exactly what you saw. I think it was two or
three touchdowns that were on Anthony Barr the linebacker trying
to cover receiver. You know you got a mismatch and
you know you got the advantage. So you can't you
can't afford to have that. If you're Jared Golf, I
mean you can, you can take advantage of your If
you're the Vikings, you can't afford to have that. Right now.

(05:08):
It's true, It's it's true. The uh, the the watching him,
watching watching Jared Goff, the lead that offense. You just go,
you just go Showan mcveigh's is just a brilliant, brilliant savant.
That's what he is. He's he is like any other

(05:29):
gifted musician or gifted beyond your year's doctor. He is
a great football coach, like he understands that game at
a molecular level. Yeah yeah, And and and if you
you watch them, like I said, you know, part of
it isn't having Todd Gurley to stretch the field, but

(05:51):
more importantly, there were a lot of players they ran
out of play action, which really sucked the linebackers and
opened up using used holes on the back side. When
you have receivers like Woods and Cooks and those guys
that can really stretch all Brandon Cooks, I wouldn't bring
him up earlier, but he's such a weapon. I mean,
you saw the Patriots offense really struggle for appeared in
the Super Bowl when when Cooks got hurt when Malcolm

(06:12):
Jenkins of the Eagles popped them and popped them out
of the game because he because he can run so
dagon fast, and the and the the Rams specifically do
a lot of deep crossing rounds. They do a lot
of square ends. They do a lot of um crossing
rounds and crossing patterns um. And you know who used
to really good, be good, really good at one time?

(06:34):
Where where the charges Philip rivers And that's a part
that McVeigh has put into his offense, especially out of
play action, because imagine you sucking those linebackers up to
three to five yards off the line of scrimmage, sucking
them up to you know, one or two yards, or
just getting a late drop and then having someone of
that speed, just run across the field, run acrossing, round
and on on a slant or an angle. There's nobody there,

(06:55):
and in the defensive back can't keep up with them
because they're not as fast as them. Noah's advantage offense
all over. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's true. It was. It
was a great night. It was great. It's it's been
a it's been a great season. I mean, the only
thing that we can all point to thus far as
we enter into Week four, which is a huge week
because it's the quarter pole, it's the first quarter pole,

(07:17):
and coaches always go by the grouping of four games
and each quarter pole, so it's it's a it's a
big week for a lot of teams. But that said,
I think you would agree the only thing that has
marred this season is all the roughing. The not not
even the head penalties, but roughing, the quarterback penalties. Once again,

(07:39):
we saw a bunch of flags Thursday night, all weekends,
all day Sunday. It's out of control. You can't allow this.
The new the new part, the new rule where they're
gonna call the they're gonna drop give they're gonna they're
gonna drop the flag if you fall in the quarterback
with all your weight to Aaron Rodgers roll right, that's

(08:01):
how he got his his collar brown broken. If you're
coming up straight on a quarterback and you're Aaron Donald said, right,
and you're and you're coming up right in his face
and you tackle him face head on right, you know,
you dip your shoulder and perfectly. How are you not

(08:22):
supposed to tackle him? If not the alligator tackle? All right?
Like you gotta try to spin because if you just
go straight and plow him to the ground, they're gonna
call a penalty, which is really because of the angle,
difficult not to do. Absolutely, absolutely, That's why the rule

(08:42):
is is so is so messed up to me. I mean,
you have to do just like you know you're talking
about the Thursday night. I think Fox did a great
parody of how to tackle and how to tackle a quarterback.
You really have to lay him down on a on
a mattress with a fellow here you go here, and
you've gotta be careful that way because he can't lay
down too forceful because there's a there's a penalty. It's
not really fair. But you know the thing is that

(09:05):
the NFL now knows it. And and we've never seen
this really before. We've never really seen you know them
say well you know, and they're not. They haven't come
out and said it, Well, we're not going to force
the rule quite as much as we did. You're right.
The reason why they did it was because the quarterback
was injured, a notable quarterback, your biggest star was injured
by a linebacker taking him down to the ground. And

(09:25):
now we're gonna we're gonna call it. And there is
really no true interpretation of it because for every one
they said that there was the case, I saw two
or three plays that it didn't happen or they wasn't called.
And so they're not calling it consistently. Rest referee Cruise
are not calling it consistently. Yeah, you're right, and uh again,

(09:46):
I that's such a big play roughly the passer because
either you take away a sack or you take away
usually the completion you extend drives on third down. It's
it's too much. It's that's that's how the that's how
the vice Cans were able to tie the Packers. I mean,
if if the second you know that had happened and
it wasn't yeah, you would. I mean you would have

(10:08):
had um because because I think Kirk Cousins stroying interception
when that play when they played, if if it wasn't
a penalty, then the game would have been over. Mike's
I mean Packers win. Yeah, no, I And we talked
about that. We talked about that for a week afterwards.
It's too much. It's too much, but we'll get into
all the all the NFL stuff. The NFL is is

(10:29):
what I look, Football's the best. We got a huge
college late today, big important games Notre Dame in Stanford,
Penn State, and Ohio State to headline the grouping what
a great day man, and basketball started, preseason started in
the last night and playoffs like Ike up today. You

(10:53):
know it's not frost to the publicin yet, but it
was chilly out and it made me think about baseball.
And we're about to turn the page to October, the
best best months of the year. Absolutely. It is like
Keviny the LK. I'm Anton the Guard and they call
me because where the fellas will come back just a

(11:15):
moment and uh, get you set for the day. Introduce
you the crew the Fellas from the Getico Fox Sports
Radio studios on Fox Sports Radio. Great news. There's a
quick RADI that you can say money switch Gego, go
to Geico dot com and in fifteen minutes you could
say fift of more card shorts. That's Geico dot Com.

(11:36):
Visit there today. We are the Fellas. He's Anthony Gargan.
I'm linking Kennedy. And it is a great time of
the year. As the month of September changes over to October,
it is actually a great time to be a sports fan.
You really there's no shortage of things to watch or
to get into. You've got football full swing, both professional collegiate.

(11:56):
You've got college basketball starting up. You've got pro basketball
with exhibition games starting up in all the new hype
about the players moving around, Hockey, baseball playoffs, so let's
goes on and on. You had soccer championships if you're
into it. So it is it is a great time
to be a sports fan. Yeah. Yeah, Ryder Cup, Yeah yeah,
I forgot about golf. Yeah so even golf. Yeah. Well,

(12:18):
the the United States not well, I thought they were
not well. I lost track. I was I'm in San Diego.
I lost track. Yeah, well they they got crossed yesterday
in the after they did it's great Joel and beat
my boy daring that drop. All right, Uh, let me

(12:41):
ask you a question. A couple of things. One one, Uh,
when you look at Notre Dame, Yeah, Notre Dame. If
they beat Stanford today, they're gonna be favorite in every
game the rest of the way. If they beat Stanford probably, Yeah,

(13:01):
it's that Notre Dame hype. I don't think they're as
good as that ranking, but it's the hype. Okay, we'll
say what you want about the hype. But are they're
you're looking at I'll protetial playoff team? Now what we're
talking about? Well, see what was that? What year was
that was a while back when they ended up playing

(13:23):
Alabama the championship against smashed um rose through the ranks.
I think a lot of it is the Golden Domer
hype that we see when they have a decent team.
I would have to look at the schedule. I just
and you have to figure out who's going to be out.
You know, whoever wins the SEC is going to be there.
So right now you've got two teams. If you're talking
about four teams, you've got two teams on top four

(13:43):
at the SEC, they got Alabama and Georgia. Um, you
have to believe that one of them in there? Now Clemson,
Ohio State, and are you're gonna tell me if Notre
Dame beat Stanford that they're better than either one of those.
With the seasons over to the all is that if
Notre Dame wins and is able to beat Stanford, here's
your rest of the season. You're ready? Yeah, all right,

(14:05):
so you you'll you'll have beaten number seven Stanford right
then you go play uh at Virginia Tech next week.
And they got quarterbacks. I think there were twenty five
right now right, well, now the other they dropped thereout
they have quarterback rink, the quarterback issues, right, yeah, then
you got then you host Pitt, then you're at Navy,

(14:31):
Then you host Northwestern, Then you host Florida State, which
is not very good. Then you host Syracuse and then
you go and course closed out the season at USC.
Schedule doesn't really help you much. You got CCA, Dude,

(14:51):
if they're unbeaten, they're in a playoff, then who's the
who are you going to ex out? I mean, I
just can't see, well, here here's here an SEC team,
But unbeaten Notre Dame team. I think the schedule hurts him,
cause I do. I think the schedule hurts him. I
just here, here's the thing here, let me let's let's

(15:13):
just let me play Devil's out of it. Get to
what you're saying. Let's say that Georgia beats Alabama and
NA SEC championship. You think they're gonna leave Alabama out.
But guess what an unbeaten Notre Dame team with that schedule,
they don't They're gonna favor I don't. I don't see it.
I don't see it. I know that I noticed the

(15:33):
Golden Domer hype. I've seen it before, but I just
don't I listen. I don't disagree about you know, the
Golden dom Er hype. However, dude, that's a legit. They'd
be unbeaten and something. You mean, and you can't. You
can't complain about Notre Dame schedule because they always sketch
like it looks good. They're independent schedule. Well, I mean, look,

(15:57):
but you're you're talking about what Navy, you're talking about Northwestern,
you can't. They might be down, but they didn't know
they were down when they signed them. Oh no, no,
I totally agree that schedule. This would mean this would
be a classic, just like we had last year. This
would be a classic. Time again for the argument to

(16:17):
be raised, you got to increase it because this is
what you head into every year. You can't get you
can't not put Notre Dame in there when they played Michigan. Seriously,
look at these seeds Michigan, h Vanderbilt, Wake, Stanford, votech

(16:40):
there's only one of those, one of those teams in
the top only one of their opponents. Come on, man,
they beat Michigan when Michigan was four team all the
Michigan still is fourteen and socially, okay, see two of
their opponents on the missing. Okay, Stanford and Michigan, we're
only two and then were in top twenty. My point
to you is that they how in the world you

(17:03):
can't get on them for like, oh, they scheduled patties.
I'm not saying the schedule other teams and what they schedule,
they scheduled open season. I understand, I understand, I understand.
I also understand this is that if I just do
not see it, because I don't see anybody beating Oklahoma,

(17:26):
are you gonna tell me you're gonna jump to probably
the Big twelve champion. What I'm saying that if if
they're unbeaten, that you can't leave them out. I hear
you be hard, but you but you're gonna you're gonna
create at one loss to one loss SEC team, he's out.

(17:46):
You know you much much I love. I'm just saying.
I'm not saying that George is gonna be not losing.
George is a good team. I'm just saying, if it
did happen, good good Alabama is a great team. Al
is not lose. I're not losing to Georgia. They're not losing.
They're not losing. They're not losing. Period. Yeah, what's about

(18:09):
to get the light? Like I'm in the studio, the
damn lights keep going. I don't know if I'm not
moving enough around and just anyways, I don't go ahead, Yeah, anyway,
the topic that I want to get that, you know,
I want to discuss. But that all makes for an
incredible game to you know, like Stanford no business beating
Oregon last week. Well, but at the same point, here

(18:29):
here's the thing. I mean, I don't, I don't when
we'll talk about it more when he gets to you know, recently,
Notre Dame has been owned five against top ten opponents.
I don't think they beat Stanford. I think Stafford can
get one. M all right, all right, sounds like a
lot of hate to me. But why we're not talking
about Alabama. You hate the Irish too? No, I don't,

(18:54):
I know, I don't. I don't hate the Irish. No,
I don't. I don't hate the Irish. I just I'm
I get, you know, beside myself, because they always hype.
They're always hyped there like the cowboys of college football.
They always got me a conversation. Did you get my
cowboy hatred? Oh? Well, I know you. I don't hate No.
How about Jerry Jones put me put the You know,

(19:20):
Jason Garrett. I told you before the season Jason Garrett
would be out well, and I Jason Garrett's fault that
they that they set on Dak Prescott and can't and
don't have any weapons. That's not his fault. He better
make amends with his boy, doesn't get him back in there.
That received is horrible. Yeah, well the quarterbacks thinks too, though.

(19:41):
It doesn't help me to have both them horrible. It's true,
that's true. Well, we got a lot of dude. But
let's introduce the boys, shall we. Let's do it. Let's
let's do it. Man. He was getting ready for his
baseball playoffs and the tribe. I don't I want to
touch on some baseball coming up? Get you set up.
It's a big weekend, last weekend of MLB. He is,

(20:01):
of course Triple m Our, buddy, producer, Mike Mayer, Millennial, Mike,
good morning, get good morning fellas. How are we doing
in Lincoln? Are you ready for Sunday? It's gonna be
that's gonna be fun. Man. But he set the stage
for them all right. On one side is Lincoln Kennedy
six ft eight seventh stoping to get stothing, to stop

(20:25):
putting adding stuff on right, I've been Lincoln. He towers
over me. I am a midget compared to Lincoln three
hundred and yeah, and they miss the radar. On the
other side, the matchup, he's don't even look at it.

(20:47):
For the Indians, He's in love with Baker. He loves
the Baker. He of course is the candlestick maker who's
about the side to the cable sting. Yes, well, yeah,
I'm like about five nine five. Yeah, you hit that
about head on. It's Raiders and it's Browns on Sunday

(21:11):
and these two nose to knows. I mean, I'm excited,
and I'm going to be watching the game and I'm
probably going to be doing some duel like watching and listening,
and I'm gonna have the broadcast up and I'm also
gonna be listening to Link and UH and Brent do
the UH the broadcast. I want to hear the gems

(21:32):
from Lincoln because I know, Lincoln, You're gonna have some
good stuff on on Baker, because yeah, because I know,
because I know that's the best thing about you, because
from hearing you during the preseason, like every play and
we've played some of the audio that you guys have done,
like you guys are are just a great team already,
like I could already I could already, I could already
notice that. So and it's not that I'm gonna knock

(21:53):
on the Fox broadcast, but it's just like I want
to hear, my boy. I want I want to hear
how the game is gonna be called, even though I'm
to be listening to the team that I'm playing against broadcast.
It's like nothing against Jim Donovan and Doug Deacon on
the Bronze Radio. But I want to I want to
hear how Brenton Link are gonna call the game. I'm
really curious. I know, I gotta pull a gat. I

(22:16):
gotta give you some love, man, because it's gonna it's
it's gonna be a barn Burner. I'm really looking forward
to the game because everybody's talking about you know, does
John Grewton have enough film on Baker Mayfield. The Browns
get ten days to prepare for this. They're going to
the West Coast. It's Baker's first start, uh start, number one.

(22:37):
Number one quarterbacks in their first start aren't very good. Like,
there's a lot that goes into this, not just like
just the matchup that makes this like one of the
more intriguing games of the weekend because everybody's gotten Brown's fever, man,
Like I I just can't, like, not just in Cleveland,
but in the NFL. Man, it's like every every everywhere

(22:57):
I've gone. Man, it's like I I'll I'll walk around
in a Brown's jersey and it's like, man, like I
walked around after the game and they were like, man, congratulators.
It's really like and and and you said it last
week to me, and like, I know you. You and
I have gone back and forth for a long time.
I know you you wanted to see it because I
know you guys have given me a hard time when

(23:17):
they were run by a bunch of geeks. But now
that they're run by a real football guy, and now
they've got maybe finally have the quarterback, it's exciting to
finally talk about the Cleveland Browns. So yeah, it really
is last, it really is. I sit tight and then uh,
well we'll meet the rest of the crew. One of
the uh, one of the guys who will be rooting next.

(23:39):
He'll be behind Lincoln and you probably won't be able
to see him because they'll be standing behind Lincoln is
another raider man. And he, of course is that we
call him the figgy figgy trending man. I love men.
Lincol hit him high, I'll just go low. I'll chop
him down, up him at the knees. That's how we

(24:01):
do it. Yeah, he's already close. You don't have to
drop him down too much. That's a good point. You're right,
all right, excited a great see we got the preseason
basketball by boy Marquel Folks. That's that's your guy, huh.
I mean, I mean I need him to play well.

(24:24):
We weren't talking too highly about him last year, although
there wasn't much to talk about last season as well.
I eat to play well. I gotta have Marquel Folks
to play well alongside. You know, I love Ben and
didn't he have didn't have bubbles around him on on
Snapchat or something like that when he was driving last year. Okay,
there was the bilk rage he played. That's right, that's
right to me. I don't care. He was able to

(24:47):
shoot a jump shot. Yeah, and actually and it went in,
and it went in and he didn't separate his shoulder
while doing it. So that's that's progress over over last season.
So you got that right, So we'll take Yeah, basketb
was back, we got baseball playoffs coming up, and of
course we're in the thick of college football. And then
if I always say this is the best time of
year for sports, it's always the best time of years.

(25:09):
What about the Dodgers. You're excited about the Dodgers or
it's everybody all about their rams. Uh No, it's still Dodgertown.
It's still a Dodgertown out here for sure. The Rams,
as exciting as they are, you know, they're still getting
reacclimated to the city and just just a lot going on.
And then it doesn't help that some guy named Lebron
showed up in town and had his media day a
few days ago, and so people are going crazy over that.
So as well as the Rams are playing and as

(25:31):
dominant as they look, they're still playing second fiddle to uh,
to the Dodgers. It's a Dodger town, and they've been struggling, um,
but still just the game out of first place UH
in the NLS. So we'll see what happens with them.
They have a couple more games with the Giants here
likely looking like they're going to make the postseason one
way or the other because the Cardinals lost again last night.
So um so it looks like the Dodgers and Rockets

(25:52):
are both gonna qualify. It's just a question of who
will be seated where. So that's what we're looking at
right now, Anthony, with the d L West for some
of the particulars on the number. Since we have the
trending going right now again, Colorado up one game in
the NL West with two games to go. Colorado will
get clinched officially a playoff spot with their win over
the Nationals. Yesterday, the Dodgers got a victory over the Giants,

(26:15):
so they have a two game lead over St. Louis
for the final wild card spot and then but the
top spot is still under on four a fight as
well with the Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee just a
game behind Chicago for the top spot in the NL Central,
So a lot of flux right now. In the National League.
Very little has been settled yet. The American League is
settled at this point in time. For the most part,

(26:36):
we know Houston's gonna take on Cleveland and one n
LDS or a l d S excuse me, Yankees will
take on the A's. They will host the A's and
uh for the wild card game, and the winner of
that matchup will take on the Boston Red Sox in
the other a l DS series. Online car shopping can

(28:03):
Let's I don't want to forget all all the man
because he's terrific, all the sounds that come through this show.
He is, He's awesome. He is of course our man.
I was Sam, good morning, I was Sam, good morning.
The sound and the fury coming from me right now.
Um no, it's I'm excited for this weekend of college football.
Iowa has a bye week, so I can actually pay

(28:24):
attention to some of these other games. I can get
a little rest. But it does kind of stink when
your team's coming off a loss and you have a
bye week, because he kind of it kind of sits
with you for the next few weeks. Yeah, but not.
I think the first weekend we would have some really great,
like a handful of fantastic matchups. We're really looking forward
to the Ohio State Penn State game as well. Yeah,

(28:45):
you know what you are, Mr Big Tent, So we
go to you all, Mr all big tent stuff. You
know for years, Uh, this has been a great matchup
and remember uh Penn State and the big upset over
Ohio State and on the white out again, a lot
of people are all over Penn State on a Saturday

(29:06):
night Happy Valley. I don't know. I don't know if
this Penn States team is good enough. If it's defense
can all the Ohio State, but they could score. The
Penn State can do is move to football. Yeah, and
it's surprising, you know, with George Joe moorehead moving on
to Mississippi State and se Juan Barkley moving on to
the Giants, you're seeing this team was especially you know,

(29:27):
led by Trace McSorley really putting up bunches of points.
So I am pretty intrigued that this These have to
be the top two offenses in the Big Ten and
so that's always fun to see them clash like that
over under seventy in that game, by the way, guys
over yeah yeah, I mean yeah between that in West Virginia,
Texas Tech, I mean there's gonna be a lot of

(29:47):
points today, there's gonna be a lot of points. Wow
seventy Really I saw that, man, Like it was like
because it's like, okay, if you're gonna have a similar
score to what happened on Thursday night, you hit the under.
So I mean, do you get one of those games
where there's a ton of yards and maybe they don't
get in the end zone as much, or do you

(30:09):
think it's gonna be like a fifth like the Rose
Bowl where it was what like fifty eight or something
like that, because that's exactly what I think it's gonna be, right, Yeah, Yeah,
But here's the thing though, you know, it's either we're
real quick though it's sad that no, I don't want
to say sad, but it's so starkly different that it's
a it's a big ten game and you have a

(30:31):
seventy over under for a big ten game. Yeah, it's
like a big twelve over under man. Right. I mean
that's you know, Haskins for what it's worth. And you
saw what Mike story he's been able to do in
Penn State, but what Haskins has been able to do
with Ohio State. I watched him specifically a couple of

(30:52):
weeks ago, and he has got a nice arm and
he has a better ball. He had a number of
quarterbacks in a whow This whole offense opens up with
his accuracy, especially on the second level. I mean it
really impressive through the air. And they still run the ball,
they still play that traditional football, but they can do
so much with more passing it's kind of it's kind

(31:15):
of like an extension of what card L. Jones brought
to them when they won the national title, where they
could air it out. But like you said, Lincoln had,
Haskins has got a better arm, he's more accurate, and like, yeah,
with with card L. Jones, it was really about just
stretching the field because they had Devin Smith and all
these guys. You can get behind the defense and could
just run straight go rounds. Now you've got good receivers,

(31:39):
you've got good running backs, and then Haskins is like
the cherry on the Sunday and he and he's just
been amazing. If not for two of man like, you
could be talking about him as legitimately being like top
like at the top level, maybe even considered really the
front runner for Heisman. But two has just been so
amazing and it's like you can't really compare. No, no,

(32:00):
please don't so, uh you know, ba, I love that
kid to it. So last year it was a great,
great game if you remember thirty eight, Uh in Columbus,
it was awesome. Penn State comes Ohio State needs to
have an incredible fourth quarter to pull out the wind.

(32:21):
They outscored the Penn State nineteen, the three and the
fourth quarter. Remember Penn State was all over last year
in the High state frantic comeback. Uh, A twenty six
team is the game. I was referencing the white out
two years ago, twenty four twenty one Penn State, and
it really marked don't you guys agree? Did that win?

(32:46):
It marked the return of Penn State because no one
expected them. Everybody expect him get demolished and they struggled
over the ball, but it was both just about a
big key turn over the end of that game, Penn
State beats Ohio State and then they go on a
terrific run that uh that where there the offense shows

(33:09):
and at that point, uh, it's it's really that game
saved James Franklin's job. He was he was getting ready
to get to be fired the end of that year.
You're right, You're right, it was. It was brought him back.
And I think Penn State won the Big Ten that year, right,
and they played was that the year they played? Yes,

(33:30):
that was, And that was the year Ohio State got
eliminated because they couldn't play for the Big Ten. And
that was like one of those years that screwed over
teams in the playoff. Yeah, it's gonna be a great
It's gonna be a great game. I can't I can't
wait for it. We'll talk a lot about that one.
We'll talk about Notre Dame. I want to get to
you stet for Baker, but baseball. We got to touch

(33:52):
a little baseball because the final weekend in the season
and little chills in the air. October baseball is almost
the Palm. Playoffs start this week and they'll host the
A's for the wild card game, so that, Yeah, it'll

(34:13):
be interesting. Uh, the A L. D S U will
be set. It's gonna be great. Houston Cleveland. How about
that series? How about that? Yeah? How do you feel
about that triple m? I am so excited yet kind
of scared for that series. Like I was talking with
somebody here in the studio about that American League. Those

(34:36):
D s is could maybe be the greatest Division series
lineup we've ever seen, because you could you could potentially
have Red Sox Yankees and Astro's Indians. Like that's insane. Oh,
absolute Titans, it's sting needs. I love that Indians lineup,
getting Donald to man to like man trow like I

(35:01):
just love, like when I look at all those four teams,
I mean, that's all Mutch must watch baseball. Well, we'll
get into it. We'll touch on the next Were the
fellas right here on Fox Sports Radio, waken Ken, Yes, Lake,
did you listen to the Dan Patrick minute that we played? No?

(35:29):
I don't listen to commercials. All right, I loved. I'm
big Dan Patrick fan. I like him alot. I think
he's awesome. However, his take on golf not again. He
he wasn't being a one. Are these hot takers? But
he said, he goes, Uh, listen, maybe Jared Goff will

(35:53):
be better than Carson Wentz. Oh, and I say it's
low your roll. I listened. Jared Goff was sensational on
Thursday night. He was he he was terrific. However, however,

(36:16):
Caps the Ginger Jesus is a much better quarterback then
Jared Goff, much better the gar Jared Goff. It has
a genius young coach he has with him. Who you

(36:38):
want to you want to say that's a top two
running back in the league. Yeah, Do you want to
say a receiving core that is top three in the league? Yeah?
All right? Carson Wentz If there's one thing that Carson
Wentz doesn't have around him is weapons. He doesn't have

(37:02):
great weapons. He's got a really good tight end, and
al Sean Jeffrey when he's healthy, is a good receiver.
But he's not some elite burner. He's not some great
top five receiver in the league. Carson Wentz doesn't have

(37:23):
many weapons. And your point is he's a much better
quarterback than Jaricho. Wow, okay, are you disagree? I think
he's a different quarterback in Jericho. I think it's a
different quarterback. I think Carson Wentz. How about that? Yes

(37:44):
he is, Yes he is Packed twelve. Yes he is.
I will I studied that kid's tape. Study every week.
I study his tape. Oh you don't believe it. I'm not.

(38:04):
I'm not getting into it. I look, somebody came out
and sacked to ginger. Jesus says, someone's better than the ginger. Jesus,
that's why you got. You got all huffy and bluffy.
So now I understand. Okay, Figgy, Figgy, I don't know
if I contio defense while you're hating on the pack
you have, you do remember there was a pack twelve
quarterback that helped you win a Super Bowl last year, Anthony,
just not forget about that. Brother. There was a quarterback

(38:30):
named uh Nick Foles, MVP of the Super Bowl. I
don't remember him, okay, but but I know what means
when he says, yeah, they're different, they're different styles of quarterback.
Because right away people are gonna go, Wow, godslick, better throw.
He's not gwents A has a more accurate and draw.

(38:55):
Uh you disagree, I know you do necessarily a pack. No,
it's not. It's not about It's not about that. It's
also about you when you're taking consideration the body of
work over the last two years, what Jared Golf has
been able to do with the offense, and what we've seen,
like most notably the other night. I've also seen Carson
Wentz performed well, I haven't seen him make the same

(39:17):
throws that I've seen like Jared Golf made recently. So
I'm not gonna sit there and say that one is
better than the other just because you know he's he's
he's a guy, Okay, all right, thinking about my guy.
I look at it objectively, all right. I gotta go
get so you guys are laughing at me. So we're

(39:42):
laughing at the comment. Did you say you look at
him and objectively? How you guys are you guys are
out of control? Man? You guys here? All right, I'll
tell you why. What if I went and got how
many people? How many experts you want? They say that
wedg is better in golf? How many experts you want?

(40:06):
I watched another enough law in order I'll get my experts.
You get your experts. How about that I can bring
an expert wizzy. I want you, I want, I want
you to say that Jared Golf is better than Curson. No, no, no,
all right, I'm talking about coaches. And look, Baldi doesn't
lie and they're said he do. No, Well, I jeez,

(40:32):
but you don't watch him enough. We're the Fellast. We'll
be back Fellas Fellas, fellas fallasts like Kennedy, Anthony Gargano
as we hang out here at the Fox Sports radio studios.
Where do you buy a guy? Go? I try fifteen
minutes can save you fift or more in car insurance.

(40:53):
Visit Geico dot com for a free raid quote. So
last we left you, we were doing the v golf comparison,
which is great now because now that the two picks
in the draft one too can be compared, because before

(41:13):
it was a lancelide. Parson totally agree, totally. And now
you know that that Golf is around Sean McVeigh and
has all these great weapons, people can prop him up.
I left that out there like hanging. No, I I
didn't know you were. I thought you were just you

(41:34):
were making a statement. I know you were gonna fishing.
I know, I just like prop him up. No, here,
here's here's here's what I will tell you when it comes,
when it comes to the reality and and sort of
what we've seen. Carson Wentz was drafted by a team
that had a system that he was familiar with, and

(41:54):
he was he was much more comfortable going in there,
and even though he didn't have any weapons when he
first started, he showed you how promising he was going
to be. The other hand, it just seemed it almost
seem a person out of place when Jared Golf was
taken by the rams, you know, from coaching staff to
uh for offensive philosophy. Everything was wrong and he struggled.

(42:16):
So then you were gonna have the doubters. Now that
Sean McVeigh has a system in place that's conducive to
the strengths of Jared Golf. And you're right, he is surrounded,
he has offensive weapons, has a receiving crew, he has
a running back, and he does have a pretty dog
on good offensive line. We're seeing the fruits of those
labors pay off for him. So, I mean, I didn't

(42:37):
really get into a discussion of who who has who's
who has a strong I've been in love with Jared
Golf's arm since he left college. When he was even
in college at col I thought his arm got progressively
better over his time there. So I've been impressed with
his arm. I do believe that him and went to
two different type of quarterbacks. I do believe that uh
and and they're they're thinking and there. Of course, their

(42:58):
execution is different, so it's it's not necessarily an Apple's
Apples comparison for me. You want to talk about accuracy
accurate arms, I think they both have. I'm not gonna
say one has more than the other. I leave that
up to you, my friend. Yeah, listen, he threw incredible
he made incredible throws. I mean Golf, I said, extremely
accurate arm. All right, So if you if we go intangibles.

(43:23):
Let's just do this. Let's not a little fun exercise,
all right, And this is would be the makings of
a quarterback, of a great quarterback. So arm accuracy or
armed talent, I would say, even right, I could get
behind that. Yes, so if you go one to ten,

(43:43):
I think they're both incredible. I'll give them both nines
out of ten, Like yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm right there
with it. I'm like I'm gonna do I'm gonna put
your score down in mind. Alright, alright, so armed talent,
arms strength. Carson has got a gun. What do you

(44:04):
think about golf? See, that's a good one. I don't.
I don't think I've never I've never seen. No, I
don't think he does. I've never seen. I haven't accidents
they never seen. I've not noticed fastballs coming out of
Jared's arms. He's always been touch passes down the field,
strikes and stuff like that. And even when he's throwing

(44:25):
a slant, it wasn't like it wasn't almost like a cannon.
It was. It was. It was an accurate past. But
I don't I would I would probably give arms strength
to Carson, alright, So I I give him he's a
ten out of ten arms strength, now Figgy please jump
in here, all right, yeah, and I agree with that.
I don't think if you talk about zip on the ball,

(44:45):
just pure arms strength, I would give that to Carson. Right,
So he's a ten in my eyes, like he's got
you know, there's guys with like gun arms. And if
you look at the gun arms, he's right there with
them like he and and yeah, my homes types guys
like Okay, Cam's got a gun of an arm. You know,
guys like that. Now, Jared Goff, what would you give

(45:09):
him one to ten? Lincoln on arm strong arm just strange?
I would probably have to go like a seven maybe.
All right, all right, now let's go pre snap because
pre snap is such an important part I think of

(45:31):
of your of your quarterback development when he sees the
line of scrimmage, you know, going into it. Now now
I have Now this is where I'm gonna I'm gonna
have to defer. Do you guys want golf? I know
Whence is terrific free snap. In my mind, I go
to sleep at night hearing kill kill, kill, kill kill.

(45:54):
So I know he's great pre snap. The guy is
at the facility every morning at five thirty break it
down tape. He's that kind of kid. He's really smart, right,
So like I would give him a nine pre snap
Now you guys give me your golf grades that. Well,
here's the thing this is. Now, this is one of
the main differences. When I say at quarterbacks McVeigh calls

(46:18):
these plays, Jared doesn't really have to have a pre
snap read. He doesn't have to use it use it
because he doesn't run check with me right before, right
before the the microphone goes off. Well he's he's yeah,
he's he's helping him out. I mean, so it's it's
not I would give a total that this was to
be a landslide because also the also the difference part

(46:40):
of the offense. Wentz runs a run pass option offense,
so he has options. He has to have a pre
snap read. Yes, well what's want him to make? The
right read were absolutely even before yeah, yeah, exactly find
the safety and then and then the play starts. Yeah,
that's exactly the right Jared. There have been many times

(47:01):
where Jared has not had to audible the ball is
the play has already been in and they could run it.
Where I've seen him audible is when he's tried to
do a check with me system and try to read
if they had an extra linebacker and versus nickel or
or or those types of defenses. Because he did that
in the first game of the season against the Raiders.
He had some issues with that. He made the wrong
checks a couple of times. There were more plays in

(47:23):
the second half that they just said stay with it
and let's call it and run it. And he made
better decisions after the place started. But pre snapper read,
I think it's total wins, all right, Uh, what would
you give a golf triple and you got something here? Yeah,
I know. I was just gonna say just from observing
like both quarterbacks in terms of like and just from
watching the game on on Thursday. And it's not to

(47:46):
knock on Jared Goff because he throws a he throws
a pretty ball, But to back to where you guys
were talking about in terms of just like zip and
just like like throwing seeds all over the field, like
Carson's got that one lockdown, like Jared Goff, like there's
more maybe a little bit more touched, Like you could
see a lot of those passes they weren't like like fastballs,

(48:07):
Like they were like pretty pretty passes that like just
dropped that and like into the bread basket. So there
was those type of throws. But in terms of what
you guys were talking about in terms of pre snap
like I I gotta go with Carson there too, because
and this is this is a lot of this is
have to do with Sean McVeigh because of all this
sophisticated offense that he runs in terms of okay, there's

(48:28):
like a lot of uh jet sweep action and a
lot of these receivers were running open and like these
guys and these receivers are just super super talented, like
Jared Goff has to what Aunt's point is, like there
there's some options in there, and some of these receivers
are just running really open. I mean some of them
were really like perfect throws. But at the same time,

(48:50):
he's not having to like change in audible that much
at the line, which like you see from Peyton Manning.
Peyton Manning was the best quarterback I ever saw it
doing that. Like he he was just like he would
be changing, he'd be just barking out Peyton Peyton Manning
had had to check with me system. That's what he ran.
So if he if he saw if he saw a
nickel defense in there, he had nickel defense. You had

(49:10):
six men in the box. He was running the ball
against you. And if you saw that he brought someone
or seven or you had another extra linebacker. He was
throwing it because he knew that you had a linebacker
or a safety on his on his slot receiver. So advantage.
So you know, that's that's the thing that I'm talking about.
It's almost when you talk about the two quarterbacks, it's
not a really fair comparison because especially with the offense

(49:31):
that Carson runs, he's got to have a pre snapper
read that determines everything he does. If he's got one
on one coverage on the top and you got a
lot safety, you're probably gonna take a stripe for the receiver.
You see them. Those are things that that are that
are built. You know you're right about that. And it's
also what makes I would make went a little bit

(49:52):
more valuable in that he's the one making the decision,
not the coach on the I'm not the coach. I
understand that, but I will tell you the one that
separates me from wentz to Jared the running ability. His
ability to run is what separates Carson went from Jared

(50:12):
off to me and the fact that he's he's he's
he's a savvy runner that knows how to get down
and protect himself. That's the biggest difference maker other than
those little smash who knows how to protect himself. Carson wentz, Okay, yeah, yeah,
you know that's been the knock on him is that
he has been too reckless right now. I don't you know,

(50:34):
like to me, yeah, you can't rain in uh, you
know a Bronco in that sense, like where you're gonna
try to do whatever you kind of win. And there's
a difference between taking shots unnecessarily which he did early
in his career, instead of just going out or sliding

(50:55):
and trying to win a game and doing what you're
stuff instinctually tells you to do, right. And I think
you're right. I think you're right about that. I think
he knows how to I think he plays a more
conservative thing than people think. But he's so elusive and
he won't go down in the part when there's pressure,
he wriggles free. He finds a way. I think you're

(51:15):
right about that. And then there's post nap. You know,
you want to give that the golf post snap. Again,
it's it's a different it's a different animal. McVeigh is
running the show again. That's but I think when it
comes to arm strength, and like you saw it in

(51:36):
the Vikings game, he was able to take care of
take advantage of second level throws. And there were times
where as we were talking about he threw him open
that that one when he was rolling to the right
and he put such a touch on the pass to
the corner and went right over two of Vikings defenders
and fell right into his lap. I mean, you just
made He made about half dozen of those strows that

(51:56):
I went, that's exactly right. And I said to my
what a pretty pass. Yeah yeah, And quite frankly, there
was the one. I guess it was the cooks. I
didn't think he had the Uh. I didn't think he
had the arm to get the ball out and uh
it was was that for the session? Yeah, exactly exactly

(52:19):
like I think he had the arm to get it there,
and he did and and and it's a beautiful throw.
I still again, I'm gonna give the nod to the
Ginger Jesus. So you can we could have this argument
from now until the end of your careers. It'll be
a fun one. Hopefully it's Peyton and Brady that we're

(52:40):
talking about. Those two. That would be nice, that that
would really because it's it's really when you're looking for
a matchup that can can determine, say a conference, or
be a part of the standard. It would it would
be nice. Yes, I like, you know Peyton Brady's like
Yankees Red Sox. Yeah, yeah, you know that whole thing. Yeah,

(53:02):
it really is. Uh triple I might you put a
Twitter pole up? You'd rather have gone it's a great
that's a great Twitter, Paul, And make sure you you
you say that. I say, Ginger, Jesus, you got car
you you got you got Carson and uh, I mean

(53:22):
Jesus the Ginger Jesus as Anthony as Anthony Gargano, Jesus. Yes, yes,
we'll come back. I promised to do a little baseball.
We we gotta do a little baseball. So the last
weekend of season and then uh, and then I want
to dive into college football. Today. Ohio State, Penn State,

(53:45):
Notre Dame, Stanford Highlight a great day of football. Man,
we gotta preview that. And we also got to get
to to St. Baker. You know, I don't want to
leave St. Baker out of the conversation about what about
Josh Rosen thinking his first start You're gonna get killed?

(54:08):
Where the fellas licking Kennedy, Anthony Gargano right here on
Fox Sports Radio, Pros and the Nose. No, the start

(54:28):

He's Anthony or again I'm linking Kennedy. We're talking a
little sports. Uh, do you want to go into your
baseball kick right now? Because you want to do it
at the bottom of hour. No, let's do that. I
need to do a little baseball and uh we'll get
it back to you. Are you disappointed or no? No, no, no,
you no. See here here's the thing, and we we

(54:50):
have this discussion every year. You throw baseball to the side.
You know you don't want the one pick her up
when she's trying to hitchhike and trying to catch a
ride with us. Correct, we and we we don't. We
don't pay attention to her to the fall. Well, listen,
that's Baseball's fault. It's it's her fault. Well, she didn't
do anything, I mean, just because she's she's honestly, it's

(55:11):
her fault. She needs to she needs to get to
that matter more. And the only way for her to
matter more is to add playoffs. She's never been better
than during the playoffs. That right there, I do. And
the one game in wild Card series is you know

(55:32):
going is wrong because what you got the first one
we know about his his Yankees A's right. So Yankees
A's is to play in game. And and I'll say
it for the million time and then I'll shut up.
One game playoff is the most absurd thing in the world.
For baseball. It's not a one game sport. If football

(55:54):
is a one game sport because it's a battle. Baseball
is not a one game sport. It it's a series sport.
And this one game playoff is the most absurd thing
in the world. Baseball's got is so screwed up right now.
It needs another tier. It needs to lop off one
sixty two because one sixty two is way too long.

(56:18):
It's like a bad movie that runs for two and
two hours of forty five minutes. All Right, it's gotta
it's gotta stop, it's gotta end. It should end at one.
But they won't. God forbid, they wants too much to
to do. But in the very least making one fifty
four and add the tier playoffs. Anyway, Yankees, a's Wednesday

(56:44):
for the playoffs, for the plan the right to play
the Red Sox Indians Astros. That's a great series, dude,
that is a great series. Everyone'll focus off the Yankee
Yankees Red Sox where that that Astro's Indians team in

(57:06):
series is better. Those two teams are better. They're better
than the Red Sox and the Yankees. All right, Oh yeah, no,
I mean it's and everybody's forgetting just how good the
Astros are and because they got hurt during the year,
and it's just kind of like the with the Indians.

(57:26):
And this is not me being biased, it's like the
Indians really haven't had anything to play for since like
June because the division was locked up by then because
the Central was so bad. But frankly, if if the
Indians wouldn't have, frankly they choked last year against the Yankees,
this would have been the American lead championship series, and

(57:47):
it would have been a fantastic series, like it would
it would have been unbelievable. And the fact that we're
gonna get this in a five game series, and I'm
not usually the biggest fan of how five games series
set up, but in this scenario, it's really interesting because
the pitching is so unbelievably good on both sides and
especially in the starting rotation, and then you look at

(58:08):
the lineups. It's, man, it's just a chess match. It's
just a complete chess match. And it's just gonna be
fascinating to watch because the Indians, like I said, they've
really been kind of spinning their wheels, like they've had
Ramirez and they've had these guys playing really well. But
they've kind of known, at least for I'd say, like

(58:29):
I said mayor June, that they were going to win
this division, they were going to the playoffs, and they
were like, you know what, let's just let's just get
ready for the playoffs. And yeah, they they had to
turn down and lose some games as a result of it.
But man, it's that's gonna be an absolute Barnberg. Everybody's
obviously gonna be paying attention to It's gonna be paying

(58:49):
more to everybody. Like the ratings are probably gonna come
in way higher for Red Sox Yankees, and you obviously
know the people that because I think I think TBS
is carrying the the American League this year and Fox
is getting the National League. So the people at TBS
and Turner are gonna probably be just like big give
us Red Sox Yankees all day, but don't sleep on
that series between the Indians and the Great It's a

(59:11):
great series, all right. National League. Now this is still
because you still have the Cubs and Brewers. Now, like
in I'm root for the Brewers, is my nationally I
love the way. First of all, that city deserves some

(59:33):
baseball success, all right. I'm a big fan of Milwaukee baseball.
It's kind of Americana, and I believe that Milwaukee deserves
baseball success. Say great American city. Yeah, it's it's beer
and baseball in the summertime in Bronts And so I'm

(59:58):
rooting for there. I also of that team. I love them,
I love yellows, I love that whole team. Braun hits
a home run last night to win it over the
Tigers from the glove Casciano's glove over the wall. Brewers
win that the Brewers could still catch the Cubbies for

(01:00:22):
that division. Cobbies hold the one game lead, Cardinals clinging
to their wild card. In life, the Dodgers look like
they're locked in Cubs Cardinals. Today on Fox one o'clock,
huge rapifications. Cubs win, they clinched that division. Cubs lose

(01:00:46):
Tigers Brewers tonight on FS one, Brewers have a chance
to pull into a tie, which would be outrageous Dodgers. Meanwhile,
again against the Giants, they were able to win close game.
I know, figg he was nervous last night, right, fake,

(01:01:08):
I was never a doubt in my mind there, Anthony, Ye,
So you never got Giants actually led one nothing in
that game. They did. They did, took a big home
run from Justin Turner in the fifth, I believe, to
uh finally take the lead, and the Dodger bullpen didn't
blow it for once. So that's good. So they so
they clinch a playoff fake today with the win over

(01:01:29):
the Giant correct. Correct. So it looks more increasingly likely
they're gonna either win the division who they trail Colorado
by a game right now, or at the very least
get a wild card spot. So Kershaw's pitch into that correct. Correct.
Who do you want in the in the wild card game?
Re you? Well, they've been setting up rich Hill to
be the starter for a once a hundred and sixty

(01:01:52):
three extra regular season game if necessary, or for a
wild card game. Re you has been said when he
was healthy, their most consistent starting pitch as pitcher and
starting pitching actually has been pretty good. If I could
have one person, if the rest were set up that way,
it be Walker Bueller, who should be in the conversation
for Rookie of the Year as amazing as he has
been for a young guy. So if you're asking me

(01:02:12):
if there's one Dodger pitcher that I wanted to that
I needed to put on the mound to win one game,
I know many people will believe it was Clayton Kershaw.
Posts and numbers are not the greatest, especially in the
high pressure situations. I'd put the kid Walker Bueler in
there personally, Yeah, I agree, I I like I I'm
with you, am he does have a live arm. That

(01:02:33):
whole thing is still crazy because you really don't know
who who's going to play whom? Correct? You know, the
Brewers could still catch the Cubs for the top spot
in the n L, and then they would play the
winner of Dodgers and the and whoever. It is, so
Cubs in Milwaukee could actually face each other in the

(01:02:54):
in the division series. Yes, so it is. It was
literally wide open, the most wide open that I can
remember a playoff chase so much. We had all these
crazy scenarios two days ago where you could add a
three way tie and they could have been play in
game to a play in game for a chance to
go to a wild card. It was it was make
your make your head explode. It was Rockies. And then

(01:03:15):
they got a great one last night from uh Freedland
last night. He's been great all season, especially at home
for them. How about Marquetes to Marquetz struck out. I
think it was nine of the first ten batters he
faced he did, which was rated the first nine, and
then he he started he was killed the Phillies. Uh

(01:03:37):
so the Rockies tonight, can they can clinch that division? Now?
I could you imagine a Rockies, Brewers and Lcs. I'm
sure that moved the needle? What like? Would you like it?
Or from a baseball fan standpoint, absolutely, as someone who

(01:03:58):
just loves the sport, absolutely, I would love it. I
think it's an excellent matchup for sure. I just don't
know if the networks will love it by exactly. So
that's that's okay, all right? So why is that boring link?
They're a fact, two exciting teams that bash the ball
that no one talks about on the national platform. They'd

(01:04:22):
almost rather and they don't. They'd rather have a boring
Cubs or Dodgers team or Nationals team someone like that.
Make it then the most exciting small market team that
you can think of, The Brewers, the Brows, the Rockies
play fun ball. They do. I'm not denying that at all.
You're right, but it's just the people. It doesn't have
the cache value that Chicago Baseball right the right then

(01:04:46):
and there if they don't know that the most exciting
brand is like you what, this Brewer's team, man, they
got a reliever. It throws a hundred and thirty seven
miles an hour. Right, got pretty sure if they have it,
they have an MVP candidate. That is that's incredible. I

(01:05:12):
mean they got they and they just basketball and that
that's nothing for you link and the and look, I'm
interested in it because, hey, it's something to see. It's
something different, you know what I mean. I like parody.
I'm just talking from a big market standpoint. I don't
know how many people they say, they say there and
see it on paper, Um, Milwaukee and Colorado? What else

(01:05:35):
is on? You know that? But that's the problem that
then the game is is in real trouble, like real trouble,
like we know baseball's third NBA completely pass or pass
baseball like baseball is a distant third. Eily right, not
even clothes. We'll touch on it. Take it away. Give

(01:05:57):
us the trending for this morning, all right, before we
go back over some of the baseball, we'll get you
caught up on the Ryder Cup right now. Team Europe
back yere back with the Visions after losing the couple
couple of years ago. They have increased their lead to
eight to three after taking three of the four four
ball matches this morning, one of the matches is still
in progress. That's the US team of Justin Thomas and

(01:06:18):
Jordan's Speech are one up on Ian Poulter and John
rom through fifteen. So USA looking to salvage one of
these four early matches. But the things are not looking
good for Team USA. Out there on the links in

MLB playoff picture, we're down to the final couple of
days of the regular season. The Dodgers did beat the
Giants three to one in San Francisco Friday night, so
they keep pace with the Rockies, who got a victory
over Washington, Colorado, with a one game lead in the
NL West. But the Rockies did clinch a play off
spot regardless. St. Louis laws ground in the wild car Race,

(01:07:03):
comes beat them eight to four, so St. Louis now
down two games in the NL. Milwaukee beat Detroit, maintaining
their one game deficit in the Central behind the Cubs.
Yankees beat the Red Sox in Boston, New York, will
host Oakland in their Wild Car tilt next week. And
some Pack twelve football from Friday night as well. Guys
as Colorado hammered u c l at eight to sixteen. Fellas,

Last night Pack twelve after dark and Uh Colorado some

(01:07:49):
trickery and they take care of Chip Kelly and U
c l A. U c l A now oh and
four and Chip Kelly's return to college football. Uh Colorado
goes to four O A big second half, couple of
a couple of big kind of trick plays, half back
option d It was. It was good. It was good football.

(01:08:12):
And I love those Friday night Pack twelve games are terrific. Yeah,
it was. It was a good show. I just feel
sorry for U c l A because, you know, Chip
Kelly and everybody is excited about the program and in
the Westwood excited that he's he's a part of the program.
It's just gonna take some time to get get some guys,
some players that he needs to utilize the system. He

(01:08:33):
doesn't have it right now. Yeah. I mean he's not
even running his his tempo. Well, you can't run his
tempo because this quarterback is struggling. Quarterback struggles with the reeves.
I mean specifically, there was there was one player I
think there was. It was fourth down and seven. I
think it was somewhere. It was a fourth down a
long distance and here there were three yard route. It's like,
if he catches, you're not gonna get the first down.

(01:08:54):
What are you doing? So things like that, you gotta
take your lumps, Yeah you do. I'll tell you what
a what a fun day today. It's gonna be in
college football some of the some of the big games
that you need to know about. You know, Texas Tech
in West Virginia is a fun one. Man. That's a
that's a fun early game where you're gonna see a

(01:09:15):
lot of points in that one. I got my eyes
set on Oklahoma Dollar should be a good one too.
I went once. I know, I just gotta ask you
because because you're there with the Flyer's mascot. What the
hell is that? It's from the from the islands. What island?

(01:09:37):
I believe it's the the galop the Glopacos Islands. Huh. Okay,
because I thought when we when we saw the Philly
Fanatic way back in the day, but that was that
was out of it. Yeah, he's from the flapost Islands,
the philip Finantic. Yeah, filt in Philadelphia, the relates of Glopicalsland.

(01:09:59):
We're gonna get the mast. Okay. So so the flyer's mask,
if you haven't seen it, is is they call it gritty?
All right? So gritty is the uh the name of
the of the mascot? All right, Okay, it's all it's

(01:10:24):
kind of like it looks like a gigantic red hair
dude that's budding in mouthly like surry kind of guy's
got a beard, red hair. You look kind of look orange,
really orange, like something from where the wild Things Are? Yeah,
I was thinking that, Yeah, what's the wild Things? What's that?

(01:10:50):
I never knew that? Oh you never we never read
the book? It was I never heard of that story. Okay,
what's the story where the wild Things are? Google? Looking
up and you see if you remember the cover. I
had that book as a kid. I love that book.
You will see a strong resemblance to Gritty. Oh really, yes,
a child friendly mascot. By the way, you know, he

(01:11:13):
looks like a like a hipster, bad with a bad
neck beard. He looks like a hipster, looks like he's
looking for his little I p a s. Yeah, if
I was, if I was a six year old, I'd
be I'd be creeped out, to be honest with that.
This guy came to my birthday party, I'd be running
to the corner and crying. Just that was That's what

(01:11:33):
I'll be my first impression from this guy. Well, I
gotta tell you that Gritty is uh is big. Ricky
Gervais loves Gritty. Did you know that I did not
know that Fallon is a friend of Gritty's. Well, I
know is when I saw the hockey preview and looking
at preview and I saw that mess, I was like

(01:11:53):
the Flyer's new mascot, was like, what the what the
hell is that? I you know, like a said he
who gave you the fanatic back in the dame seeing
this and like al right, two things from the blog
broad Street hockey. What is this abomination of a mascot?

(01:12:14):
What were they thinking? And uh later I would take
a bullet for gritty, Well, gritty, your friendly neighborhood hipster man. Alright, alright,
I just I just wanted to know if you because
because it's in it's in your backyard. I just wanted
to know what the hell that was. I was looking
at him, like, what is that? So you're the best?

(01:12:36):
Is gritty? Somebody got a gritty tattoo already already quickly yeah, yeah, yeah,
uh the gritty Yeah yeah, yeah, You've completely blindsided me
with that one. My brother. Wow, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, No, no, no, no,
it's great. It's great that you did Gritty. It's it's

(01:13:00):
a genius move. It's been the talk, like, why listen,
who else we talk about the like the like the
flies Like the only team that moves the needle the
NHL right now is Vegas, right. The Flyers are big
locally and fai you though, right, I'm yeah, now they're
huge locally, like we like, they love the Flyers. However,

(01:13:22):
nationally they would get no, no, you get the middle
of football, you got baseball playoffs, you get to start NBA.
So you know, the hockey is always gonna be lost
when it shows you that it made some noise because
it was it's so bizarre, which is what they were
going for obviously exactly. So it's a huge success. Tell me, man,

(01:13:44):
it's the it's the your friendly neighborhod hips there looking
for his I p a, man, what the hockey. We'll
come back and I want to take a closer look
at the card today in college football, we'll kind of
the games in passing. Our picks will come up next
hour at about quarter after the hour. So uh, make

(01:14:07):
sure you're hanging with us, because we've got some winners
for you. We are the fellas, Lincoln Kennedy, Anthony guard
I got all right here on Fox Sports Radio. Fellas
from the guy go Fox Sports Radio Studios. Elka, what
is l K Cigar? H huh. I'm cause big day

(01:14:33):
college football, big, big, big day. I'll tell you that
Texas chech West Virginia games gonna have a ton of point.
That should be a lot of fun. Yeah, yeah, that's
gonna be. That's a good early game. Georgia, Tennessee. Man,
that's Tennessee. Like if you're a rocky Top, You're like,

(01:14:54):
when are we going to get this back? When are
we going to get the train back going? Well, I
mean you can certainly try to have a good showing,
but I mean Georgia is a complete team. I mean
they really are. It's it's not everyody get annihilated again today. Yeah,
you Florida annihilated them. I know you gotta be depressed

(01:15:16):
if you're Rocky Top program can't but can't get you
can't get it right. Well, if you, if you think
about it, you know we were in this current day
and age, there are a few squads of squads, a
few a few schools that have sort of lost their mojo,

(01:15:36):
you know, for what it for what it's worth. Florida State,
you know, Tennessee is not where it once was. I
mean even Florida wasn't really isn't really where there once were.
Miami struggling, I mean all the Florida schools, and I
think about it. You know, you got Texas. You know
this is not I mean we grow up knowing these
recognizing these places as powerhouse scs is still not you

(01:15:58):
know where they where they on to be. I mean
it's it's well, you told you earlier about about party
and and you know where where it's at. But geez,
like again you just talk about a school like Tennessee
and and what what the how great they they've been?

(01:16:19):
I mean, she's you know, four and eight last year
pedestrian nine and fours, like it's really your beat cupcakes
and five and seven. I mean think about twenty ten there,
six and seven, eleven, five and seven, twelve, five and seven, thirteen,

(01:16:40):
five and seven. You know you gotta go back to
two oh seven, and you know you go back to
and you go back to Peyton Hayton. Yeah. Anyway, Uh,
the Oklahoma balor game is is I think going to
be a close game? You do high scoring close game

(01:17:02):
or low scoring close game? High scoring close game. Well,
I'm hoping I should say this because Baylor the uh
we're hoping to have Matt Rule, who's a friend of
the show, Baylor coach Matt Rule against Oklahoma? MYO, I
got news for you. That would be a hell of
an upset. Wasn't it three and a half point under door? Oh?

(01:17:25):
Yeah yeah, that would be play that Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I think yeah, I agree with you there. I wonder
if they have enough weapons to keep up. I don't know.
I don't know, but I got a sense it's gonna
be like player game. Yeah, Texas Kansas State, Texas, UH
playing some good football. That's a good game today. Yeah.

(01:17:48):
Then we got uh, Michigan Northwestern Mississippi State Florida is
a good game. I'm interested in that one. You got
you got Kentucky and South Carolina Entucky four and oh yeah,
just Kentucky and came into Seas. I thought South South

(01:18:11):
Carolina be something to talk about. Yeah, yes, yes, you
got l a shoot with Old miss which should be fun.
You got b y U and Washington. What's your what's
your outlook on that game? Brother? I think that line
is way too inflated. I think b y is gonna
play Washing a little bit closer. But I will say
congratulations of my Miles Gaskon. He's just one in a

(01:18:34):
hundred yard game away from having a total record as
far as UH rushing record in Washington for a number
of hundred yard games. Um. I think he sits at
twenty two. That would put him in twenty three, or
or maybe it's twenty two. But I played with a
lot of great running backs and there's been a lot
of great running backs that went through there, you know,
Greg Lewis, Napoleon Kaufman and stuff like that, and Miles

(01:18:55):
Gascon has really impressed me as a proud Dog. But
I think this game is a lot closer. I think
the US. So it's seventeen, That's what I said. I didn't.
I don't know why they maybe maybe because b Yu
was so bent on running the ball and slowing it
down that they think Washington is going to create some separation.
But I think that you know, b Yu was already
upsets and then someone in the pact they better watch

(01:19:16):
out watching the better watch out. Well, look, this is
a team that, uh that beat Wisconsin at Wisconsin. They
were able to control the clock yep, and they win
that game. They they already, like you said, they already
beat Arizona yep. They played cows off. So that's an
interesting game. Dogs seventeen. Wow, I was surprised. Another one

(01:19:41):
in the Another game I'm interested in the PAC twelve
tonight cal versus Oregon Oregon. How does Oregon come back
after that devastating loss. Well, the fact that I do
like Cow's defense, but they're going to run out of
seam in the second half. Um, Oregon is just gonna
be too much in a and pull away from the
thing is that Col's offense, for what it's worth, really

(01:20:04):
hasn't shown or not. And then got enough started to
create the kind of momentum that you need for this
Organ team. So this is gonna be a tough one
for the Bears, but their defense is fun to watch
and they'll be standing for mostly for a good portion
of the game. You just think that that they're gonna
wear down. Yeah, they're gonna wear it down after a while.
Then that will work. And uh, that Organ, what a
tough loss last week? How about that? It was at

(01:20:28):
a restaurant. I look up and I looked up with
Seven's like, oh my gosh, Organ's crushing him. And then
I got back to my host home room. Sol differently
was like what what It's crazy? Yeah, And of course
we'll we'll touch on we'll get back to Big NFL.
Uh coming up shortly too, because look, it's Raider's browns
and and it's that's an interesting game, man, you got

(01:20:50):
an interesting game. But you're gonna be doing And we
got to talk with the Cowboys Jason Garrett talking about
let's open it up. Jerry Jones compares his offense to
the Rams offense, which I think is a shot at
Jason Garrett. So we'll talk about that coming up as well.
Where the fellas look at Kennedy Anthony Gargana on Fox

(01:21:11):
Sports Radio. That's right, that's us and it's a big
Fox Football Saturday right here with the fellas, Lincoln Kennedy,
Anthony Gargano, our crew, Triple M producing, Iowa sam our
finding sound engineer, and of course the fig on trending.

(01:21:33):
I like a couple of things. I want to get
to our college football breakdown and picks coming up in
fifteen minutes. You don't want to miss that. But I
want to go over some questions in the NFL with
you right now. All right, all right, a couple of
burning questions. I want to start off with New England.
Are the Patriots in trouble? We have seen this act before.

(01:21:57):
They limp out of the gate only to be from
dominant force. Will they become a dominant force again? Or
is this? Are these struggles real for the Patriots? The
struggles are real because they are making their their number
of intangibles that are making Brady uncomfortable, most notably that
people are bracketing and doubling Gronk because they know they

(01:22:20):
don't have another receiver. And Brady is so insistent on
pre snap reads. If he feels that you're going to
take someone away, he's going to go somewhere else. But
the other guys just haven't been winning in their route running,
so they're in badly need of a difference maker at
receiver to help him out because their run game is
non existent as well. So it's it's hard. I agree
with you, and it brings me back to the Brandon

(01:22:40):
Cook's trade. Why would they do that? Why would you
make that trade knowing how important he was to this offense?
I mean, is it? Is it just Belichicks stubbornness. You
don't want to pay a receiver that like that? What? What?
What was that? To be fair? I didn't really I
and I from my eye tests, Cooks did one thing well.

(01:23:03):
He stretched the field, but he wasn't for this offense.
He wasn't what they like to prefer as a true
route runner, like you know, like when he had those
little short routes that they used to throw back to
the Mundola when he was there and Hogan and all
those guys. Um based on the pre snap read because
the protection was not always standing up where you can
sit there and take a long shot like that. I

(01:23:26):
didn't necessarily think that Cooks fed fit in the offense
the way they wanted him to. So I think that's
one of the reasons why the traders made Wow, it's
a huge mistake. They're desperate from the receiver. They need
to see it about. Well, we'll see if they take
that gamble, if it works, if it works out a
couple of things. Um, So that's the Patriots, the Chiefs

(01:23:51):
can or the Chiefs. Everybody's in love with with Kansas
City and they should be with that offense. But it
is the Chiefs defense good enough to make them a
legitimate Super Bowl contender? Yes, And the main reason why
is because there really aren't any offensive juggernauts in ANFC.
Who who else is it going to be? I mean,

(01:24:11):
the Andy Reid has got Pat Mahomes playing with such
a confidence that he's absolutely fearless out there on the field.
And because he's thrown to all these and he you know,
with with hunting Cream in a Hill and all these
other guys, Tyreek Hill and Travin Kelsey. I mean, all
these players, he's making them look great. He doesn't have

(01:24:31):
to throw a whole lot of balls to it. It
is a big place. He's fearless. So when you talk
about the possibility of their defense being a sort of
an Achilles hill or something that's going to give it,
who's the other offensive juggerna in in in the ANFC,
who's going to challenge him? That's what makes them so deferent.
It's dangerous. There's not another you know, sort of arena
style football team or a big twelve football team that's
gonna go, you know, hit for him. Pittspers not efficient enough.

(01:24:56):
They're not efficient enough. They woke things up against Tampa Bay,
but they're overall overall they're not efficient enough. Yeah, but
but you gotta give them you a quarter this season
to get to get rolling. I mean there's no lev
On Bell and they still have a great offense. I mean,
Ben's still put the numbers has been there's no doubt
about it. But I just don't see the offensive efficiency

(01:25:19):
that I see out of the Chiefs right now. Okay,
but there there they may not be in Kansas City,
but there's still there the second best offense in the
a f C. Okay, but you you your question was
is their defense going to be something that's going to
prevent them from me? And and I think they're dangerous

(01:25:40):
because they've got a fearless quarterback. I think they're dangerous
because there's really no there's no one who's puts up
that many points around them like that. I mean, you know,
just I just don't see it. Do you buy the
Dolphins three? No? No, do you buy the Maxon's where

(01:26:02):
they're at right now? Don't you believe that the Texans
are better than what they're looking at right now? I do.
And I'm really surprised that they're that their record is
what is right now? I really am. Yeah. I I
love DeShawn Watson right he hasn't really played well. I
mean I'm looking at it at that this is a

(01:26:24):
product of the of the knee injury coming back. Man,
I hope not, because those are the type of things
that will stay well. I don't mean again for now
right right when you when you agree because there's a
there's a definite uh. I mean he look, he looks

(01:26:45):
like he's filled with rust. Well, I I think it's
he to me, and it's not doesn't have the comfort
that he had last year when before the injury. Yeah,
all right, quickly, NFC, are you buying the uh? The
Rams are the Rams and their four no, and they
deserve to be four no and they deserve all the accolades.

(01:27:07):
Now are you buying the Are you buying that they're
the best team in the conference long term? When you
look at the Ram you go, oh my god, it
Rams everybody. If you look long term, do you think
it's it's there are a dominant teak because remember last
year Kansas City was four. Now the Chiefs year, we

(01:27:33):
always crown. We always love to crown the super Bowl
champ in September October when you know, and it's always
been the hot team, well winds up winning it. So
are you buying the Rams long term? No? Because I
think they's gonna They're gonna have to have a cool
a cool off period. Something's gonna happen. It happens in

(01:27:53):
the ever flow. It always goes that way. Could have
been I don't I don't know. I don't know if
it be an injury or or just you know, like
a like a Minnesota loses, Buffalo just to to just
to break up the you know the mode if you will. UM,
I'm not sure what it would be what it is,
but I for the long term, since I think that

(01:28:16):
even though this team has everything that it's you know,
putting together, I think the to Leave injury is going
to hurt them. Um, and it hurt them last week
against Minnesota. UM, especially what they want to do on defense.
Now Aaron Donald is still a beast. UM, They're They're
still trying to find ways to to get sue you know,
on on a mismatch setting. Um. But they do have

(01:28:41):
the luxury and still be able to rush for but
their coverage coverage games are going to hurt them, especially
with ti Leave going down. All Right, who who is
the second best team in the NFC? Is it the Saints?
Is it the Goals? Is it Green Bay? Minnesota? At

(01:29:05):
one two and one? Who is the second best team
in the NFC? For me, I would probably say it's
it's very close between the Eagles and Saints. And really
to me, when when you look at them offensively, UM,
I think New New Orleans took a definitely a positive

(01:29:27):
step last week. Uh. If I'm a mistaken, it wasn't
when when I saw the game, um and getting there
some some rhythm. But I think it's gonna take a
little while for Carson to get back in. I like
the Eagles mainly because their defense. Yeah, defense, the defensive
front is really good. They've been they've been really banged
up on offense. Yeah, so and and and and I'm

(01:29:48):
not discounting where they are. So my thing is this
what you if you're playing somebody like the Rams, you
you have to use basically what they used to to
beat up on other people. And that's that's the defense
that can you know, force things, force turnovers, force a
quarterback to be a little chaotic looking down. Uh and
and you know, take things away with your front five, six,

(01:30:08):
and seven. Is there a team out there that you
that could come out of nowhere to surprise people? Probably
the Falcons, Okay with the entries. I was one of
those people that kind of counted them out. It's probably
the Falcons. That's a good pick. Atlanta at one and

(01:30:30):
two with a dynamic offense. Figgy, think about this, Uh,
give me a team that could come out of nowhere.
Triple M. Do you have a team that could come
out of nowhere and I'll give you a either conference
that could come out of nowhere and be a true
Super Bowl contender. Do you guys spy any of this

(01:30:54):
like a Jacksonville Jaguar team? Correct? This season? I mean
through three weeks, I don't know if I there's anyone
who stands out who you said while they had no
chance coming in and all of a sudden, my mind
has been changed. Nobody to this point of this season
that I can think of immediately comes to mind. Um.
So no, let's answer your question, because I'm like, like,

(01:31:17):
I don't buy Miami for a second. There might be
three and O for right now, but they don't have
what it takes to compete for a Super Bowl somore.
I like Baltimore. We and we were doing our picks.
I said Baltimore will be in the race to win
the ANFC North. Doesn't mean I thought they'd be in
the race to win to win the Super Bowl. So
I think there'll be a good team, and I think

(01:31:38):
they're a team that can compete for a nine to
ten wins, But I don't know if they're gonna win
a championship. Um, So that wouldn't be a big surprise
to me, though, that that wouldn't be coming out of
nowhere because I have them finishing at the top of
the division anyway. All right, but still though, you you're
they're better than I think what most people thought wanted.
They wanted to get rid of Joe Flacco. He was done.

(01:31:59):
Oh you're right, and we talked about it before that.
Joe Flacco needs weapons, weapons, hadn't had any since he
won the Super Bowl. Yeah, yeah, they'll be really tested
on Sunday night. That's gonna be a good game. That
Steelers Ravens is always good. That's always must watch television.
That's gonna be a great game. But to fit the

(01:32:19):
mold that Figgy was kind of talking about the Jags,
this team is in first place and nobody can really
understand why. Their offense is kind of a little bit
of a mess, but their defense through through three weeks
has been unbelievable. The Chicago Bears like that team. I'm
not gonna say like it go as far as Okay,
maybe they can win the division because they still got

(01:32:42):
some Trabinsky has got to prove some stuff to me.
But as you guys saw last year with with Bordles,
like Bordles just didn't like when I mean he was
what if he took care of the ball, and you
saw when they played against the Steelers he was he
was money. And even against the Patriots, it really came
down to like clock management and stuff. If he's not

(01:33:03):
making mistakes and not putting him in situations that are
gonna hurt them, then it's gonna be beneficial to them.
So like it's almost the same thing with the Bears.
Like Khalil Mack has been unbelievable, Like this defense is
on a different level. I mean, I know they've played
some bad teams. I mean, yes, they got into like
they should. They probably should have lost that game in Arizona,

(01:33:23):
but Arizona is just so bad that it's not even funny.
But yeah, if there's one team through three weeks that
I can kind of pinpoint, maybe this team could come
out of nowhere and maybe pull a Jacksonville Jaguars. It's
probably the Bears. Be interesting because it would be fun
to see that team with that defense makes some noise.
They got Tampa coming up in that that will be

(01:33:44):
a terrific game. We'll talk about that, But next we
turn our attention to college time. For the college picks.
We go through each and every game in the top
give you selections, are best bets, all that stuff and highlights.
Two big time games Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Stanford.

(01:34:05):
We'll discuss them all coming up next. Where the fella
is Lincoln Kennedy Anthony Gargan on Fox Sports Radio. What
does it mean when get says fifteen minutes could save
you more confurance? Means you probably should go on to
geco dot com fifteen minutes ago. We are the fellas.
He's Anthony Gargan. I'm Link Kennedy. Please to be joining
with you on this Saturday. As we get you ready

(01:34:27):
for some college football action, we'll jump into our picks. Trevior, Am,
how we do last week? Man? Not pretty? Yeah, it
wasn't good because a lot of the a lot of
these spreads and and I gotta give credit to and
I and I texted you guys about this as it
was happening, because, as you know, the biggest upset, one
of the biggest upsets maybe in the history of college football,

(01:34:48):
just from the sheer like like it wasn't like in
terms of like ranking, but the old Dominion Virginia Tech
game because Old Dominion at home was a twenty eight
point dog and want to shoot out. There was a
great game. Nobody saw it coming and so much to
the point. Yeah, we we totally did not pick that game,

(01:35:09):
and with good reason. So credit to you, Anthony Gargano,
because we all would have looked like fools if we
would have picked that game, because we all would have
taken Virginia Tech. Though I thought I was Sam took
all Dominion. No, we we we know. We didn't even
pick the game. I remember we didn't pick the game,
But I don't know why it struck me that I
was Sam. How did I would Sam had to win it?

(01:35:30):
Did he win the week? Uh? Actually Iowa Sam was second.
Uh Figgy actually joining us last week for the first
time in college football picks and one Figgy one out.
Yeah you tell you on the Crowns right, we were
just awful. Oh it was bad because we all because

(01:35:52):
we all kind of jumped on the wake bandwagon. Uh
that didn't end well. Um, Georgia Missouri was a push
because original one by fourteen and they were favored by fourteen.
Um we all took b C. Alabama did not cover,
which is a rarity like we thought twenty six points yeah,
and Alabama is gonna yeah yeah, they only one by

(01:36:13):
twenty two, so like, yeah, yeah, it was. It was
a It was a weird week, man. It was just
from watching all the games and then the Stanford Oregon game.
You guys touched on it. I'm watching it here. Yeah,
I had Oregon in that game too, and I and
I just like I was watching it, like because I
I work the night shift here after getting off from

(01:36:34):
working this show. And uh, one of the talent that
we worked that I work with, Aaron Torres, is in
studio with me, and we're watching the game and it
looked like they were gonna go upty one to seven
and then they called it back on like up was
something that his foot was at a bound one player.
It was a weird play. And then justin Herbert like
two plays later fumbles the ball in the game changes
and there was clock management like that. It was. It

(01:36:56):
was a weird week of college football, not just on
the being lines, but just in terms of the game play.
And just like you guys said that Oregon Stanford game
was chess insanity. It was insanity. Who who did you licking?
Would you have link Stanford NA good call link. Yeah,

(01:37:17):
and the ever every score and every blinds working founding
that every no no, no, that's good. Another one that
we another one that we whift on. We all had
were very confident in Oklahoma State and they got boat
raced at home by Texas. That was bad. Yeah. And
to see them see them played defense the Red Raiders
to hold Oklahoma State to seventeen points, that was a shock. Yeah,
that's not Cliff Karen Kingsbury style. And they're they're like

(01:37:39):
an air raid offense that plays no defense. Like, yeah,
I looked up. It was what seen. I was like,
what's going on here? What the heck is going on? Well,
let's do it. Let's go down to it, and remember
we'll give our three best bets. Will denote because we
pick every game in the top twenty five usually. So
let's start off with Alabama IMA. They got a cupcake

(01:38:03):
against uh Uel Lafayette, Oh Louis Louisiana. Lafayette, BAMA is
a forty eight point favorite to joke man why they
didn't cover last week? Alright, take Lafayette. You got Lafayette, like, yeah,

(01:38:29):
I got La Fayette, LA. And they only do you
want to not pick that game? Do you want to
not pick the game? Come on, come on, opinion oonay, alright,
I mean hard not to take packing the number one
team in the country, right, yeah, but look if you

(01:38:50):
look at what sabans Alabama teams due to these smaller conference,
nonconference games that they don't ever cover because they don't
take them. They don't they take them more lately, I
would take Louisiana plus the point. So you have Louisiana
Lafayette I do. I was sad, yeah big oh roll

(01:39:11):
tide all right, the restaurants too big Alabama or like
you're gonna go with I was saying, I'm going what
I'm going? What I was sam? I like his I
like his form recipes. I got all right, are you
triple am? Where you going? Oh? Man? Like this is
such a fat line. It's it's man's want to. I

(01:39:33):
kind of do because like you're asking me to like
to give up almost seven touchdowns. Like I know Alabama
is so good, but they're they're gonna like scheme roll
them in the first half and then like two is
gonna be out of the game at halftime. So and
they're just gonna coast the rest of the way. So

(01:39:53):
so yeah, I'm gonna take ul off yet and maybe
they wouldn't buy eight or something. Got it? You got it?
You got the Louisia end of Lafayette l Uh, Central Michigan,
Michigan States Sparty twenty nine point favorite link Central Michigan
with the points. Wow, you're all dogged up. The game's

(01:40:16):
on FS one. I'll take Sparty. Who you got, Triple M.
I'm gonna take Michigan State. Uh. Central Michigan is not
particularly good. I know it's a fat line, but yeah,
give me give me a Michigan State, Sammy, I'll take
the chip was plus the points. All right, it's wow.
How about you? Fig I would normally go to Central Michigan,

(01:40:41):
but they lost to Kansas. I can't give me a
Michigan State. Kansas is two and two. They're not that,
but they're not as bad as we think. All right.
Clemson a twenty four and a half point favorite over
the Queues, a battle of four old teams in the
A C. C. Lincoln give me Dabbo Babers. Dino Baber's

(01:41:06):
begging you. It's so fat Clemson as well. Triple M.
I am gonna go with Clemson and the freshman quarterback
fresh off getting the job solidified, Trevor Lawrence. I'm gonna
say Clemson rolls and they cover it, Sammy, Yeah, I
don't believe in syraccuses defense. I'm gonna lay it with Clemson,

(01:41:27):
all right, Do we have a unanimous decision? Fake we
do not give me the Orange? Give me the Orange.
I like them to cover the spread much. But just
so I'm clear, I took the dog too, man, I
want the dog. He was going, Dino Babers that Dad Sweeney. Yeah,
that's yeah, that's what got you alright. Texas Tech West

(01:41:53):
Virginia Mountaineers three and a half point favorite over the
Red Raiders in the Lubbock Lincoln. I like the Mountaineers.
I like the Mountaineers as well. I got old chalk.
It's not good. All right? Who you got there? Triple
M Texas Tech coming off a enormous win. They get
West Virginia at home. But yeah, I'm rolling with Will Grier.

(01:42:14):
I think West Virginia wins, and I I honestly don't
know if it's gonna be close. This is gonna be
a shootout, but yeah, and plus over under seventy three,
hammer the over, hammer the over. This could be like yeah, yeah,
it's yeah, it's gonna be like fifty fifty one or
something like that. So yeah, West Virginia and lock it
in with the looks low totally alright. Uh Sammy, I

(01:42:39):
don't know about one. I could see it. I could
see it being slightly over the over. I'm gonna take
uh we take West fail what lay it was? Westpah?
All right, what do you think? I know this is
a big twelve football. We're not doing over unders, but
I might take the under on this. Both of these
defenses playing a little bit better than we expect it
this year. Um, but I'm still gonna take West Virginia

(01:43:01):
to cover that spread. So I agree. I kind of weird.
It looks to me like an I'm there, doesn't it? Yeah?
It does just the way that I agree. All right.
Georgia Tennessee. The Dogs are a thirty one point favorite
over Tennessee. Wow, wow at home right now? They're in

(01:43:22):
Athens right correct? Yep? I think the steven is gonna
be too much with Tennessee. I'm I'm gonna take the Dogs.
You get the dogs lay it with the dogs. Yep,
more chocos not good? Alright? Uh, what do you say
they're trip? This is gonna get ugly, man, Tennessee. I

(01:43:43):
mean the last time they played and then it was
underputch Joe's that was a massacre. Yeah, this is gonna
be a massacre too. Georgia roll with the dogs, Yeah,
I see it. What do you got to Sam? I'm
gonna lay it with Georgia as well because it's in Athens. Figure. Yeah,
Georgia didn't look super impressive last week the Miszoo when

(01:44:04):
they had that giant spread, So I think they're gonna
come out with the vengeance against a hapless Tennessee team
this week. So I'm giving. I'm taking Georgia and the points,
all right, just do one more Oklahoma balor Oklahoma twenty
three and a half over the Bears. I'm righting with
my boy Matt Rule and the Baylor Bears plus the
twenty three. Who you got a link? I'm gonna go

(01:44:26):
with you, man. Let's jump on that wagon and do
it together. Let's rule. I'm taking the points with Baylor, alright,
triple m uh. Count me in on that bandwagon as well.
I I they played him tough last year. I know
it's a Norman, but you saw it, like if they
can control the ball, like this could get really interesting
because Army found a way. I know, Armies got that

(01:44:46):
weird offense, but yeah, I think rules gonna have him
up to play for this game. So yeah, give me
Baylor with the points. All right, what are you thinking that?
It's I mean a little a little, a little alliteration
for you. Uh. I believe Baylor's a bowl team, but
I don't believe they're back. So I'll take Baylor. Bluss

(01:45:07):
the Boys. Oh my god, that was a malk Law.
What just happened there? I fudged a little bit there,
But yeah, Baylor with the points. Save. Yeah, I'm gonna
spare you the dr Susan just say, I'll take Oklahoma.
You got a brother, you got the Sooners, you also

(01:45:30):
got what's trending. Take it away, pal, you got her brother. Well,
home stretch of Major League baseball right now, the regular
season coming to an end, just a couple of games
left here, these final couple of days, and still a
few things to figure out, especially in the National League.
Both the Rockies and the Dodgers. One on Friday, Colorado
maintaining it's one game lead in the NL West. St.

(01:45:50):
Louis lost to Chicago, so they fall two games behind
the Dodgers for the final wild card, and with Milwaukee
winning as well, they trail the Cubs by one game
for top billing in the Central Division. Things much clearer
in the American League. Yankees, for the second Rade Day
hit four home runs on their way to an eleven
to six win over Boston. With that victory in New
York and shure, they will host the wild card game

(01:46:12):
against Oakland next week. Online car shopping can be confusing,

US to eight points to four after taking three of
the four four ball matches this morning. For some matches

(01:47:20):
sixty one thirty nine wentz Yes, it's up to seventy
one votes now. Actually, so sixty one thirty nine went.
It was close for a while, but Carson has been
pretty much a wired to wire leader in these This
poll will close before the show is off the air,
so I'll give you guys a final update as we

(01:47:40):
wind down here. All right, Uh, for the record, I
have wentz ay k A Lincoln, Yes, Ginger Jesus, yes,
I do remember. Alright, Kansas State versus Texas, My friend
long Horns are they back plays with good football man? Yeah?

(01:48:04):
And I feel for Kansas State and I'm only go
with long Horns are like Texas. Do you you have
the Kiands state? Keep close? What's your spread? Eight? And
they're in Manhattan? Yes? Interesting, No, Texas, I'm gonna take
k State. How about you? Triple m. I'm with you, Aunt,

(01:48:25):
I'm going with Bill Snyder in Manhattan. Like weird things
happen when you go over there. So yeah, I'm gonna
pick a case state with the points. All right? What
you got there, Sam, I'm also gonna take Kansas State
with the points will be closer than eight, and h
Figgy taking the Wildcats. I believe Texas has not one
there since like two thousand and two. I saw earlier today.

(01:48:47):
So that's interesting. Goods, good start work by you. Sutral Florida, Pittsburgh,
shut your Florida over pit I'm gonna take the Panther.
There's a little too many points, so give me pitt Lincoln.
Have the Panther scored thirteen points all year? Um, yeah,

(01:49:09):
give me point give me pit As well? Uh you
are you like pitt alright? No? No, no, no, no,
I'm sorry, Central Florida. All right, what are you thinking?
They're uh m, I'm going to UCF here, I think uh,
I mean it is a lot of points. But yeah,
I trust their offense to score enough to outscore that spread.
So yeah, give me UCF. Alright, Sam, Yeah, I don't

(01:49:33):
know this. This pit team this year is I don't
I don't know how good they are. I'm gonna take
Central Florida late with Central Florida, fig, give me the
defending national champions. Nah like that. I like that a lot.
Northwestern Michigan Michigan on the road, a fourteen and a
half point favorite right here on Fox, Linke, Wow, Um,

(01:50:00):
Northwestern was just bad. Um, I'm I'm gonna take I'm
gonna take Northwestern with the points. I'm gonna go both pretty.
I think they keep it. They like Northwestern. I I
agree with you. What do you say, Triple M. I'm
gonna go with Michigan to impress on the road. They've
they've been playing some good football, like quietly, like after

(01:50:23):
that Notre Dame, like everybody was writing them off. Hardbus
got him playing some good football. I mean they I
know Nebraska is not good, but they blew the doors
off of them. So yeah, give me Michigan. I think
they're gonna cover all right where you got there, Sammy. Yeah,
I'm also gonna lay the points with Michigan. All right,
how about you fake going with the Wolverines? Wow? All right,

(01:50:44):
everybody all in the favorite Mississippi State Florida. I like
this game a lot. Give me Missiganssippi State. Mine is seven?
Like you who you got? I'm going to Mississippi State
as well? All right? Where you got their triple m Yeah?
I got Mississippi State as well. I mean Dan Moulin
facing his former team. I think Mississippi State some of
those players were probably recruited by Dan Mullins. So yeah,

(01:51:06):
you know I'm gonna take Mississippi State in that game
as well. All right, Uh, what do you got, Sammy boy? Yeah,
bounce back for the Bulldogs. I like Mississippi State to
cover fig just to be a contrary. And I'm gonna
go with the Gators. How about that? Oh? Look at that?
All right? You're not like Aadors plus the seven not
And we reached the evening Games of the East. Duke

(01:51:28):
four over Tech Walt kinds of issues quarterback. I'll take
Duke minus four. Lincoln. You gotta take Duke, especially with
Tech mind struggling, really struggling. So I like Duke as well.
All right, and who you got their triple m Yeah,
I'm going Duke man. I mean, it's not just because
they lost the Old Dominion, but it's what you alluded to. Guys,

(01:51:48):
there's too many issues at the quarterback and it's just
so you gotta feel bad for that man. Like they
look like they were on that right path after beating
Florida State, even though Florida States not. It looked like
a signature win. And then they just go to Old
Dominion and they lose. So yeah, I I take Duke, Sam,
I will take Duke as well. All right, you got
the Dukies Duke. Yeah, Duke lost his starting quarterback early on,

(01:52:13):
hasn't affected them at all. They keep rolling. So I'm
going with the Blue Devils, all right, you got it?
All right? We'll take quick t o come back with
some big, big, big night games coming up next. Yeah.
I skipped all Burned because it was love with Patsy
with a big spread. So don't worry about the old
Tigers wing. How about that. We'll come back and look
at the big ones next. Where the Fellas on Fox? Okay,

(01:52:38):
yoh yo? Remember this song? Oh yeah school e d right? Yes,
so my stuff man, you do. Close your eyes right
here this song. Now, imagine the beginning of a television
series where you have a single camera and you have

(01:53:00):
a kid being chased throughout West Philadelphia the alleys, and
you just hear the panting with this song in the background,
and then all of a sudden, you hear the bullets fly.
The beginning. It's the beginning of the show. I like it.
You like that, you went on that. I'm in on it.

(01:53:22):
Shows called the Bottom, so look out for it in
about a year and a half. But that's why I
want that to be the the Uh. I want the
school phil it was from Philly right to be the
to be the first, the opening scene, the song for

(01:53:44):
the opening, for the credits. That's cool. That'd be cool.
I'd be cool. Vibe right. All right, let's get back
to it. Let's get back to our selection, shall we. So, uh,
there are some monster games this evening, I mean big tie,

(01:54:05):
big tie games. Uh. Let's begin with I love this
game Kentucky South Carolina. South Carolina is a one point
favorite big game. I like South Carolina. The game Cocks
to win this game, like do yeah, I think ks
finds a way to win. I like their running games.
So I'm gonna good old fashioned football wins out again.
All right, you got it? Uh what do you think

(01:54:26):
they're triple m uh? This has been kind of like
one of those magical seasons for Kentucky, like they're winning
at all costs and like, like uh link said, they're
running game spectacular. So ye give me give me the
Wildcats at home? All right? You got it, Sammy, nice
shop finding my song, Sammy, no problem, my pleasure. I
I look at this as disrespect that South Carolina is

(01:54:48):
favored by a point on the road. Give me the Wildcats,
all right, you got them. Figure, what do you think
of my show idea? I like it. Yeah, a lot
of show ideas. Eye, they've gotta start gonna put some
of these in the works. Man, Well this one, this
one's coming. This one is already written in the Hollywajuicer
likes this. So we got a shot. All right. Well,

(01:55:08):
if you need somebody to be another producer, I hit
your boy. Let me know you gotta help you to
help you out. But I'm gonna thought he was saying,
no respect for the wild Cats. Give me give me
Kentucky for sure. You got it, all right, this game.
I I can't wait for it. Notre Dame Stanford. Notre
Dame is a five point favorite at home South Bend,
Irish Cardinal. Oh this is great. I love the Irishness game.

(01:55:34):
I bet on book. What do you got like? Well,
you bet on book. I look Stanford and and play
their best football. But they found a way to win
last week. That shows me a lot of the confidence
and resiliency and their ability to come back from behind
when they were seen to be down and out dealt with.
I'm gonna go with Stanford. I'm going with Stanford. I

(01:55:55):
want you might how about you, triple m oh Man.
I'm looking for or to this one. And it got
even more interesting because imagine if Stanford didn't win. I
like I like, I like the quarterback. I mean, Kelly
drives me nuts because of the way, like the way
he is, but I still think he's a good coach.
I just think Stanford's gonna find a way to win.

(01:56:17):
They always seem to find a way to win these
big games. So I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go with
the card great coach. I mean they got a great code.
I mean, like like Link said me, I mean they
didn't play the best football and they still found a
way to win that game at Eugene. So yeah, give
me Stanford. I'm a big fan of coach Shawl, so
you know I would go AIG's there, All right, Sam,
who do you got? I heard this that Stanford is

(01:56:39):
like a hundred and twentieth in the country and rushing,
which is pretty hard to believe. But that's the them,
be the facts. But I am gonna go with Stanford.
Come in and pull the minor upside. This is a
West Coast bias right here, all the West Coasters taking Stanford,
figuring are you unanimous? Unanimous? And taking Stanford as well?

(01:57:00):
You know where I am on West Coast all day coming. Hey,
all right, I'm the only one that's not exactly East Coast,
but yeah, closest think you got Ohio State Penn State.
What a great game battle four and no teams. High
State a three point favorite on the road in Happy Valley,

(01:57:21):
and I'm gonna go Ohio State. I don't think Penn
State's defense can stop Ohio State, So I'll take Ohio
State and lay the points link. This is a tough
one for me. I've been going back and forth with this,
mainly because you know this game will likely to decide
the champion of the Big Ten uh and possibly represent

(01:57:44):
this conference in the playoff system. Uh man. I have
gone back and forth at this one. I'm I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna go with the hometown. I'm gonna go with
the white out. I'm going Penn State. White out hall,
Penn State. You got it? All right? How about you
triple m uh man? This is gonna be fun. But
as you alluded to, and the biggest concern for me

(01:58:08):
with Penn State is their defense because you know that
Trace mcsortley is gonna bring it and they're gonna score
as many points as they can. But when it comes
down to it, I don't know if they're gonna be
able to stop PASK it's enough for them to win
this game. So I'm gonna take the Buckeyes. Well, I
see the same way. Yeah, a little bit of a
homer pick. They're Ohio player, that's why. All right? How
about you, Sammy boy? Great reference there, Ohio Players. There

(01:58:31):
you go get it, um you man that you are.
I have been toggling between these two teams as well,
But I'm gonna go with the more prolific offense, as
at least as it appears right now. I'm taking Ohio State, lady,
a fake. How you seen this game? Ohive State, Penn
State a monster? Not at low impressed with the Penn

(01:58:53):
State and Nitney Lyons, I'll give me Ohio State. That's
my stone cold lead pipe lock of the century. You
know what, scallyree man, I don't think that tree, but
I'll go for the day. I'll make them a lock
it in man. That's right, man, don't even have to
call a nine number for that one. That's free. Wow,

(01:59:15):
straight cash right, that is awesome? All right? B y
U and Washington, Washington a seventeen point favorite, linking. Do
you think too many points? Way too many points? In
my opinion? You saw what happened last week with Arizona State, UM,
and they dominate that game. They just let the end,

(01:59:36):
they let the other twos and threes play, and Arizona
State came back to make it interesting, came out of
that spread. I think it's too fat. Washington wins, but
but I'm taking b y U at the points. I'm
gonna take the your boys, I'm gonna take dogs. I
think it's a. It's big for a reason. So give
me the Huskies. How about you a triple m. I'm

(01:59:59):
gonna say a b y u h plus the points
just because I like their quarterback. But I do think
Washington does win this game. So give me b Yu
with the points. All right, Sammy, here's my lead pipe.
Lock it into the week. I'm gonna take b y
U plus those points. Really, yes, Washington, I don't know
twice Lincoln. I don't know Washington's good team, but I

(02:00:20):
just don't know. So you like you love So what
do you is it about b y U You think
they could score on Washington? Well, I don't. I don't
know b y u S offenses. There they are, they play,
they play discipline ball apparently, um you run the ball. Well,
that's for sure. Washington just hasn't blown away many people yet.

(02:00:42):
And they've beat They beat Arizona, they beat Wisconsin at Wisconsin.
They've had some good wins and they almost fake. You
like b y U two You think that, But I
don't give me Washington with the points. Give me the dogs.
That's great. I love it all Ellen's hughes tan over
miss I got, I got l s u in this game.

(02:01:03):
How about you link, I got coach oh Boys triple
m give me alright, Sam plus the points? Alright, fig,
I'm going with the cookie monster and lsu. Let's do it,
all right. I love it, all right, real quick, cal
Oregon Oregon two and a half over Cal, I'll go Ducks,
come back Lincoln. Yeah. I like Ducks. I think Cow's

(02:01:26):
offense is gonna struggle to get started. I like Oregon,
and give me Oregon. Give me the Ducks, alright, hopeful
advantage of caw. I'm taking Oregon too. It is unanimous fellas. Alright,
all right, all right, that's us. Where the fellas Lincolny

(02:01:47):
Kennedy as we hang out the kaiko Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent more in carn shorts.
Visit guide code dot com for free rade quote. It
is a big, big day Fox Football Saturday. And then

(02:02:10):
you know tonight when you got two prime time games.
I go back and I want to talk again about
Notre Dame and Stanford, because Lincoln. If Notre Dame wins tonight,
they could be a playoff team, especially with their schedule
remaining schedule. Now, I I don't doubt that they'll climb.

(02:02:32):
But also here, here's the thing with with that schedule
and Stanford being one of two teams in the top twenty,
the only one that's remaining on their schedule, I don't
know who they jump over if everybody, if everything else
falls in line. Now you had mentioned you had mentioned
the one lost team from the SEC. Let's say, because

(02:02:52):
we have thrown out the possibility early in the show
that maybe it's Georgia and Alabama. And and I just said,
for being the Devil's advocate, what what if Alabama lost that? Well,
you know the SEC champion is going to go in.
You already know that. I doubt there. I doubt very
seriously that they deny the Big Ten champion again of
going in, especially the game that you got going on

(02:03:14):
today between Penn State and Ohio State, which is huge
ramifications um and as far as the playoff picture and
everything else. And you have Clemson if they slip up
the SEC championship doesn't probably look as as alluring if
you will, but you still have Oklahoma. If Oklahoma looks
like they're gonna take care of business in the Big twelve,
I don't see them jumping up over one of those.

(02:03:36):
And more importantly, if it's if they're unbeaten and I
hear what they're gonna put a one lost Big Ten team, No,
not a one lost Big Ten team, a one loss
the right one lost SEC team Alabama. Alabama is the
only team in the in the country that could lose
the game, to lose the SEC championship and still be

(02:03:58):
part of the playoffs. Okay, I'll grant you Alabama, But
assuming Alabama goes wire to wire right and Alabama wins
the SEC, you got Ohio State from a Big Ten,
You're still gonna need You're still gonna need either Clemson
the way it'sists right now, Clemson, Ohio State or Oklahoma

(02:04:18):
to lose. I don't think so. I think an unbeaten
Notre Dame Trump's and unbeaten Oklahoma or Clemson. I don't
know if he I don't know. When you look at
the skis is what. I don't think this Clemson team
is that good. Hey, I hope they I hope I
hope that that that that Syracuse gets me today. Yeah,

(02:04:40):
I look at it, and here's what's going on after today?
You got Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Then you come home,
back to Notre Dame, back South Bend and host Pitt
Then you got a bye week, then you're at Navy,
then you're at north Western, then you host Florida State,

(02:05:04):
then you host Syracuse and then you host there, then
then you're at USC. The only the only way that
this helps you. If Syracuse beats Clemson and you beat Syracuse.
That's what with the remaining games, it's really the only
one only help. You're going to get Virginia, tex not
what they what they were. You're not gonna You're not

(02:05:24):
gonna get a whole lot of you know, I can't
penalize Notre Dame. I'm not. I'm not trying to penalize that. Ultimately,
the penalty becomes they don't have enough slots available, That's
what it becomes. Well, well, why is Oklahoma or Clemson
if they're on beaten, why are they had a Notre
Dame Because they're still there's still ahead of Notre Dame
in in the polls, and we're assuming they're not gonna lose. Oh,

(02:05:47):
they're gonna they're gonna beat Stanford, No Notre Dame. Yeah, Okay,
well then if they if they beat if they beat Stanford.
How are they going? My point is, if everything rides
the way it is, who are they going to lea
leap over to get into that type four top four?
I mean, you have to have some signature wins unless
you put it, unless the book of Mean comes down

(02:06:08):
and he just puts a laser law down on these
these opponents where they're being about forty five points. It
just it it all goes down to excuse me, to
the one loss SEC team Georgia, right, Georgia looks pretty
good if they lose. Yeah, well, I mean if they lose,

(02:06:30):
let's say they lose to Alabama and do they don't
play the Murray with season don't and I don't have
my computers down here. Um, so let's just say they
lose to Alabama and the SEC championship. Huh, what's a
good for a second? Al right? Okay, because this damned

(02:06:52):
this computers down and I'm a friend of it. All right,
here's Clemson schatchule, so sheick use today. Then they're at
weak Forest, then they hold to NC State, Then they're
at Florida State, Okay, then they're home against Louisville. It
prec stings. Then they're at Boston College. Then they host
Duke and then they host South Carolina. That's just dreadful.

(02:07:15):
And here's right now, Duke in right now, Duke in BC.
This isn't BC still on the top twenty five. Again,
my computer is now so forgiving, you know, I mean
they are, but BC so so Clemson. They have beaten Firman,
they beat Squeaked by A and m by two. They

(02:07:40):
beat Georgia Southern, and they beat Georgia Tech. But they're
they're the schedule. I I totally. But here's the thing.
You don't see people just falling back because of the schedule.
I mean, there are something about the sex points. But
to be affory're gonna leap Frock, I got news for you.

(02:08:01):
Notre Dame beat Stanford. I put down ahead of of Clemson.
No really, man, I got that schedule. They played dog.
It's a dog meet schedule. You were talking about Notre
Dame schedule. It's a dog meet schedule. Yeah. I mean, really,
at least a High State's got Michigan, Penn State in

(02:08:24):
the conference. I mean it clipt even anybody in that conference.
I mean that's a bad conference. At it is a
bad conference. It is a bad conference. States got all right,
so they crushed Oregon State, as you remember, they crushed Ruggers.
They win at TCU, which is a good win. They
crushed two Lane, which actually played well last night against me.

(02:08:49):
Uh that that that Penn State. Tonight they host Indiana,
they host Minnesota the rapper do. They host Nebraska. They're
at Michigan State. Tough game. They're uh at Maryland and
again Michigan. So you know again you give you give
them the nod when it comes to schedule, right, I

(02:09:11):
I give them the nod more because the Big Ten
was excluded, the champion was excluded last year. I think
the playoff committee tries to make up for it if
they were. If the rides of the way it is
right now. Huh. You want to look at Oklahoma, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, alright, Oklahoma.
They beat f A U, they beat trash U c

(02:09:32):
l A. They win at Iowa State thirty seven twenty seven.
They go to overtime to beat Army out. They got
They host Ballard today, go Bears. They got Texas coming
up red River. They got there at TCU home against

(02:09:55):
Kansas State. They host Texas Tech. I mean that conference
is a good conference host Oklahoma State, host Kansas at
West Virginia, I think got tough games, consider Oklahoma State,
and I mean teams are good. Yeah, yeah, like those
those teams. Those teams are really good. So you think

(02:10:17):
the winner of the Big tent of Big twelve is
not gonna be a part of playoffs if they're a
one lost Big twelve team. No, I mean, look if
if Oklahoma runs the table and there's some big wins
there and there's some good there's some good wins if
you if they're on the table, West Virginia and um State,

(02:10:39):
Yeah yeah, I mean it's that's a good come. I mean,
I like the Big twelve, Big twelve conference. If if
you're able to run the table playing those time all right,
when we could talk and it would be you Notre Dame.
I think Clemson's out? Huh? I mean think you think
Clemson's out without a loss? I mean, all right, let

(02:11:00):
go here with me. So Alabama, Ohio State, I'm not
even counting a one loss SEC team. Okay, Okay, put
that put the one loss SEC team that's not Alabama, Georgia.
Put that sit a side for second Ohive States, unbeaten
they're in. So you have Alabama, Hi State both in. Right,

(02:11:23):
then you got two spots for four teams, the one
loss SEC team, unbeaten Oklahoma, unbeaten Clemson, unbeaten Notre Dame.
I don't know how Notre Dame gets left out. And

(02:11:44):
the only thing you could the only thing you're probably
taking consideration is I mean I get rid of one
loss at SEC team. I mean, yeah, okay, Well, I
mean I don't hear I still don't think it falls
that far out of grace, but I hear it. You're
saying the only thing that that carries away from me
when I close my eyes and think about stamping. I mean,

(02:12:05):
the Stanford Notre name is the Stanford win and then clemsons.
I guess if you if you look at it, what's
their big big signature win this season? At Texas A
and MD the beginning, but they went by, they squeaked
by by two. Yeah, I mean that's the only way
I look at that. I look at Notre Dame schedule,

(02:12:26):
and you beat Michigan, and you'll have beaten Michigan, You'll
have beaten Stanford, you'll have beaten sc USC Yeah, I know,
Florida States down and Virginia text down. But still you'll
have beaten some decent team much better than what Clemson
will have played. So to me, the four should be Obama,

(02:12:46):
Ohio State. If Oklahoma's on undefeated, Notre Dame, Clemson's on
the apps, Oklahoma loses, now you go. Now you gotta
talk about the lost set SEC team. Whether it's Georgia. Again,
it's all predicated that it's not Alabama, because I can
with you. If Georgia beats Alabama, then George's in and

(02:13:10):
Alabama one loss is in. Right, they're not gonna get
They're not gonna be out, and that would mean potentially
two on beaten teams are out. But but to match
up your argument in the scope of business, especially with
college football, is thinking about business. Notre Name is a
big draw and if you can find a way to
get them in the playoffs, you can find a way

(02:13:31):
to get them to play on Alabama or or or
a Clemson or High State, whoever they're whoever else in there,
it's gonna be It's gonna be big for college football.
There's no doubt about it. Because they did that a
few years back when they when when they got when
they notre name got squashed. Here's my question to you.
Do they go to eight teams then? I think it

(02:13:53):
is that the argument where they go we gotta expand eight.
I think they go to I think they go to
eight teams in me. Okay, well, right, if you have
if you have two unbeaten teams that are are out,
the public is already looking for certain Yeah, I mean,
in a perfect world, sixteen, but I know that it's

(02:14:15):
a little overkill. But you gotta give me eight. I
mean eight with age great, let's go as gotta be out.
I mean I'm looking at l s U schedule because
they're up there in the top five and they're gonna lose. Yeah,
even I mean the stretch they've got. They go to Florida,
then they have Georgia at home. They're they're good things

(02:14:36):
that they've got these three teams at home. We stayed
at home Atbama's home. I mean, look, if they beat Georgia,
but they're gonna lose Alabama. They can't match up with Alabama.
I'm sorry, they can't match up. Got them round out?
Come on? Now. I love the Tigers, I like holl Shoe,
but I just don't I don't see them. There's I
don't see any way that they can match firepower with Alabama.

(02:14:56):
All right, we'll come back and we'll look into the NFL.
We'll talk to Baldy, our NFL insider, and then give
the NFL picks coming up next. You don't want to
miss it, Fellas on Fox. This segment is brought to
you by Granger. Grangers got your back and when it
comes to getting the safety and industrial supplies that help
you get your facility running, Granger's got what you need.

(02:15:19):
Granger dot Com. We are the Fellas. Please be joined.
Bar our Buddy, Brian Baldinger, twelve year NFL in the
NFL into network at analysts. Baldi, how's it going man?
Who you got today? Ay? Good morning, Lake. Gu's gonna
be with you guys. Man, it's a pleasure day. Before
we jump into who you Got today? Buddy? Uh, there

(02:15:41):
you go with a non losing record after four weeks.
So hottest running back is the Big twelve here. Luca
Williams Jr. Gonna be the star for Kansas today. Looking
forward to watch them run. Oh my brother, as always,
I I got so many questions for you. Let's begin
in college because we have two monster games to break down.

(02:16:03):
And one of the things we've been talking about is
Notre Dame. If Notre Dame beat Stanford and they're unbeaten,
how do you keep Notre Dame out of the national
playoffs situation? Well, you don't. I mean, as long as
they stay I'm beating. The schedule alone is gonna be
if they stay I'm beating. But I mean, you know,
nobody's gonna decide that here after five college weeks. But

(02:16:25):
you know, they take it on Stanford and they look
to be you know, I mean, obviously they're coming off
a tough, tough outing in Oregon. But I just think
right now that Notre Dame is as long as they
keep winning, they're gonna keep being talked about, uh to
be playing sometime in January. So that's they know what's
up at stake. And I think the coach knows all

(02:16:48):
about it too. You know, we've been talking a little
bit about, you know, looking projecting ahead and and you
obviously the big matchup between Ohio State and Penn State
could do a lot for that will decide a lot
obviously now for the playoff picture, but for it possibly
for that that the conference championship. You know, when you
look at these two teams, you look at Penn State

(02:17:08):
and you look at Ohio State, who do you believe
in more? I know, Ohio States just talented, they've done
it already, But can they go on Happy Valley and
and and be Penn State? And you think, well, I mean,
you look, they've got a great quarterback and Haskins right here,
he's off to a great start doing things that no
Urban Myer quarterback has ever done, the way that he's
throwing the football right now. And the fleet of receivers

(02:17:29):
that they have. I mean, there's some NFL teams that
wouldn't mind having a few those receivers on the roster,
you know tonight. But you know, he's got a hand
on the atmosphere a number one. I mean, it's gonna
be a white out, it's gonna be a hundred nine thousand,
it's gonna be an atmosphere that you know, college football
is known for and it's one of the great destinations.
And so how he handles that? Because talent wise, Ohio

(02:17:51):
States a better football team. They're better, uh, almost every
single position. So but the atmosphere, can he really change
the outcome of this game. And so that's I think
that's what Penn States is kind of leading on now.
If you can block it all out and play through it,
Ohio State is gonna be a tough team to beat,
uh throughout the rest of the season if they get

(02:18:12):
through this one tonight. Alright, Baldy's with us, and uh
of course the NFL network follow him at Baldy NFL
get all the great NFL breakdown with with bald these
incredible videos. Uh, Baldy, let's look at the NFL and
everybody's uh right now crowning the Rams just like we

(02:18:32):
crowned the Chiefs last year. Early on we crowned the Rams.
Is this a team that could be a wired to
wired type of team that we're going is the favorite
in the NFC? Well, they can be. They can be
because offensively right now, um, they're better than they were

(02:18:54):
last year and their season and Window Falkons you know,
went into Los Angeles and helping the thirteen to the
playoff loss. So but they wired them up at the
wide receiver position, they could get anything down the field.
But the quarterback looks much better this year than at
any point last year. So in the design of the offense.
If you watch carefully on Thursday night, how they go

(02:19:15):
from I form a formation to break out into a
spread formation and give the Vikings literally no time to
adjust and then hit them. They did that repeatedly. I
mean they got tied Gurley in the touchdown against Anthony
bar I mean they got the matchups they wanted, and
they prepare for those matchups. They anticipate what the Vikings

(02:19:36):
were going to do. That's that's gonna be hard to
stop when you can basically do a five man uh
switch right at the snap and then have to adjust
mentally and physically like the Vikings were unable to do,
so you get five touchdown past. Defensively, look, they they're
not a great defense. They have great players up front

(02:19:58):
that took the game over the fourth quarter when Aaron
Donald and dominicans Wu got going and it allowed the
Vikings to not be able to get that last touchdown
they needed to tie it up. But offensively, they're gonna
put up a thirty spot every single week in this league.
That's the way I feel about the Kansas City Chiefs.
Baldi and it was probably the first time I can't
remember that when the last time I saw a team

(02:20:19):
going to Pittsburgh and put what a forty two one
on the Steelers at home, I don't I don't remember
seeing that. But with that being said, I'm concerned on
who has the offensive firepower in the a f C
to maybe challenge that defense of Kansas City, because I
think Kansas City is a set up on the defensive
side no matter what they do on offense. Who we
are like we are, and so you know, you gotta

(02:20:42):
you gotta limit the piss. I mean, look, the game
player is simple, kid City. You gotta play keep away.
You gotta limit the possessions. You gotta steal one or
maybe even two possessions and keep Kansas City down to
maybe ten times with the ball, and you gotta take
it away. And so far teams aren't taking it away.
My homes has been perfect. We'll see if that stays up.
But the offense, you know, in this league where there's

(02:21:05):
very little that you can do to affect an offense,
I mean between the illegal contact, the holds, the quarterback hits,
I mean, the offenses, it's it looks like a Friday
afternoon walk through. The ball doesn't hit the ground in
Kansas City. They scored the first five times they had
the ball against San Francisco, and they did it in
every single way that you can do it. And they
haven't even gotten the running back going yet. They haven't

(02:21:26):
had to. So but that's the game plan. You gotta
play keep away. You gotta limit to possessions. You gotta
find a way to take it away, whether it's, you know,
whether it's forcing a turnover, or whether it's you know,
a fake punt, whether it's an on side kick. I mean,
you gotta do something to get the ball back and
limit the number of touches that Patrick Mahomes is going
to get. Talking to Baldy and Baldy, I gotta get

(02:21:48):
focused on the Cowboys for a second. Jerry Jones on
one oh, one oh five point three the Fan in Dallas,
it compared the Cowboys offense to the Rams offense. He said, quote, well,
I look our offensive line when stacks up against the Rams.
Since Uh, but I like our offensive line. I think
it's fair to say we got good running backs. Uh.

(02:22:11):
The quarterback, I remember God when he first came in,
they moved him along a little slower pace than Dac
got to come in but you know that we've been
just as proud as Dac as those that the Rams
fans have been of their quarterback. Is he talking to
Jason Garrett here by by comparing the Rams offense and
the Cowboys offense. Well, I mean, if he's doing that,

(02:22:35):
then you know that's just not a good way to
do business. If you know that's if that's Jerry's way
of communicating with said coach, and you do got in
the back room after just a the poorable defeat to
Seattle last weekend where didn't do anything right on offense.
Third down conversions are last in the league right now.
The offense, they don't have a receiver that can beat

(02:22:57):
man coverage. I mean, they don't have a good roster.
So Jerry really should just look at himself and there's
rosters that he has right now. I mean, that's not
a great Seattle defense. But if you don't block block
Bobby Wagoner on thirty one and thirty two like they
didn't last week, he'll make every tackle and he did,
and so I mean Seattle far from a complete defense
and they shut him down. So I don't know, I mean,

(02:23:19):
there's a lot of blame for the way Dallas looked
right now through three games. There's a lot of blame
to go around Jerry and Jason and you know, the
whole group. So I don't know. I mean, that's a hurt.
I mean, they drafted Laton Vanderesh to be his replacement,

(02:23:41):
so he played last week and so we'll see how
he does. I mean, he's supposed to be the reincarnation
of Seawan Lee. You'll get that opportunity. It's a really
good defense up front. Um, They've got a lot of
talent on that group, and I think the secondary is
for the capable of handling there in. But you know,
you need you're a linebacker to go out there and
be a vacuum cleaner make the tackles that are there, Baldy.

(02:24:04):
Last one from me. Did the Blue Devils go five
and old? Have they ever been five and old? Though?
And then what what's up with that? Well? Uh, you know,
when you look at what they're doing right now, they've
got you know, they wiped Baylor up, they ran Northwestern
out of their own gym. I believe they get to
five and oh, I mean I think they're twenty posts
in the country right now. But I think they continue

(02:24:25):
to rise and stuff a team that doesn't beat itself.
Lincoln and David Cutcliffe is just as talent as a
coach as there is an America. Just asked Eli Manning
the things he did, it all missed for him. I
got a needs you here because there was a bit
of a debate going forward whence or golf did I

(02:24:51):
asked this question correctly? It wasn't It wasn't a debate.
You mean, I told you that there are two different
quarterbacks to different offenses. Who, right, all of a sudden,
Dan Patrick, you know, openly asked the question. I love
Dan Patrick. He openly asked the question, could Golf be
better than Wentz? To which you have. I mean, if

(02:25:15):
you look at the town around Jared Goff, in the
town around Carson Wentz, who has better town around the quarterback?
That was my argument was even close? Not even close? Right? So,
I mean, the quarterback can can make up for some
of that with his ability to extend plays and his athleticism,
you know, the things that Jared Goff really doesn't have
to do. Um. So, I mean we're looking at two

(02:25:38):
completely different teams. But if you ask, if you ask
me what quarterback I would still rather take I would
take Carson. Amen, you're Jesus. Baldy has spoken. I didn't
say it was wrong. I didn't say you were wrong.
I just think it's not a fair combasis. I'm busted him.

(02:26:04):
You're the greatest brother. Guys. Hey, don't go to sleep
on that Texas Tech West Virginia game tonight. And we
were taking a lot of fun watching that one. Go
back at fourth on that one. I like that. That's
a great like West Virginia in that game. You like Greer?
You know that real Greer has thrown five touchdown passes
in the game five times so far in his college career.

(02:26:27):
He hadn't played that many games. Um, but that's that's
freshman quarterback for Texas Tech bowman. That's a that's another
you know, Cliff Kingsbury. Fine, right there, Yeah, Texas quarterback kid. Yeah,
great stuff. Baldi, enjoy it. He is, uh, the great Baldy.
We'll come back in just a moment and do our

(02:26:49):
NFL picks. We got some locks for you, but first,
he's always a lock, the lord of trendings. That's right.
I love morning, Anthony and Lincoln. It is afternoon in Paris,
where the forty two Ryder Cup is in full swing
as we speak, with Team USA trailing Europe eight to four.

(02:27:11):
Now in the afternoon matches, Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson
are one up through five, but Justin Thomas and Jordan's
Speed are two down through three, Tiger Woods and Bryson
Deshambo are two down through four, and Dustin Johnson and
Brooks Kepka are all square through seven. That would be

(02:27:33):
a called the miracle, right, miracle on ice? Miracle? Yeah,
we've well, we've had that. It would be what the
miracle on links? I guess yes, that's what Team USA needs.
But we are still good in baseball and on Friday night,
the Rockies defeated the Nationals five to two to clinch

(02:27:54):
a playoff spot with their eighth consecutive win. David Doll
homer for the fifth consecutive game game Dodgers beat the
Giants three one thanks to a two run home run
by Justin Turner. So the Rockies lead the Dodgers for
first place in the ed L West by one game
with two games to play in the American League. Friday night,
Oh No, hang on and driven at Deep Love Center,

(02:28:16):
it US high that us far. Here's god. Hey hit
the ball over the monster wall over the monster seats
out onto landsdown. No, that Gary is scared and so
are you, Chammaster John Sterling on w f A n AS.
The Yankees defeated the Red Sox eleven to three. So
the Yankees will host the American League Wild Card game

(02:28:38):
Wednesday against the A's Anthony and Lincoln. Why, thank you, brother.
We appreciate it that he is the great. I know
where the fellas come. You alive from the Geico Fox
Sports Radio Studios fifteen minutes could save you f or
more on car insurance. Just visit Geico dot com for

(02:28:59):
a free rate quote. All right, here we go. Time
now for the NFL picks. Uh, let me ask you
a question, Triple M. How were we last week? Um?
You guys went uh split on a lot of different
games and it did not go Lincoln's way. Lincoln went
three and twelve. It was not a good It was like, yeah, yeah,

(02:29:21):
it was seven and eight. But Lincoln, you will be happy.
But you actually, I don't I don't know how you're
gonna feel about this. You had a butler bet. It
was on the Chiefs and they won. So I don't
know how. I don't know how you're gonna feel about that,
because I know covered the Niners. That was like the
Garoppolo game where they got it. But I also got
to give credit where credit is due to aunt. Your

(02:29:42):
lock of the week, or as your stone cold lock
of the century is figgy, so elegantly put last hour
you had the Ravens over the Broncos, and that actually happened.
They covered the five and a half, so good job
of both you. I mean, Lincoln, it wasn't a great week,
but hey, you hit a Butler bet so that that's
there's like can net game, right, that's it. You take

(02:30:02):
the small ones. Nah three, nothing to brag about. Oh no,
we suck three one and two man, that's what it was.
All right, let's get back at it. Link it back
on the horse. Let's do it. We'll start with the

(02:30:24):
early games. It's the Jaguars versus the Jets. Sam Donald
against the Jaguars defense. Oh boy, what is that like?
Jacksonville seven and a half point? Favorite? Lincoln? Really, where's
the game at in Jacksonville? Uh? Yeah, I gotta lay

(02:30:46):
it and didn't take it? Jaguars and throw the points
out there. I agree. I'm gonna take Jacksonville as well. Yeah,
New England a six and a half point favorite against
the Dolphins. Dolphins getting no responded and the Dolphins a

(02:31:08):
six and a half point dog. I'm gonna bite and
take the hot dog, all right, I'm gonna take Miami
with the six and a half. Everybody goes the New
England's not dead, everybody's on the Patriots. I'm gonna take Miami,
give me the points. I think that New England struggles real,

(02:31:31):
what's definitely real, and it's definitely gonna be real against
these these ends for Miami. Look, I don't believe in Miami.
I don't think they're a team that's really gonna cause
a muck if you will in the a f C
North or East. I should say, but but I will.
I will say this. I think Robert Quinn and Cameron
Wake are gonna have a field day with this offensive line.
So I'm gonna take the Dolphins as well, all right.

(02:31:54):
Eagles and Titans. The Eagles are a three and a
half point favorite. Now, the way the Titans played last week,
how about that, I'm gonna give you a side in
this game. Now, I don't know. You can tell me
if if it's against the rules, But I like the
total in the game. Is that against the rules? Triple

(02:32:14):
m out against the rules? If I picked the total
and and you're not, and you're not, I mean, that's
not against the rule. I mean it's a bed. So
I mean, if you want to pick the total, that's
a lot. I guess are you picking the score? Is
that what you saying. I'm gonna pick the total number
of point of the over on there, but you're not
gonna pick a team in the game. I mean, and

(02:32:35):
and if I like the over a lot, it's forty one.
People have seen people have seen a lot of low
scoring games from Tennessee. Remember last week against against Jacksonville.
They've seen the Eagles play low scoring team. This game
is gonna be high scoring. If I have to pick
a side, I take the Eagles. So god like, take

(02:32:57):
the over and then the Eagles. Uh okay, Um, well
you don't like that. I'm just I'm not familiar with it. Okay,
I'm just thinking what I know that the spread is
and see Tennessee three. I think just the over on there,
that's all that is points. We we've never We've never

(02:33:19):
put that out there, but I know you bet you
took Philly, you took Failly. Um. I think Philly wins,
but I think Tennessee pushes them to the edge. So
I'm gonna go with Tennessee with the point. All right,
Colts and Texans Indian Apples on one point favorite, I'm
going with Texas. I I can't believe the Texans are

(02:33:40):
all with three. I can't believe with Shawn Watson in
that defense. I'm gonna bite, give me, give me Houston.
I I I can't understand why it's happening as well,
but I do believe that the I do believe the
Colts are starting to figure some things out. I'm gonna
take the Colts in this game. I think the Colts
get him at home. Wow ohing four for Houston. That

(02:34:03):
would be a terrible The Bills versus the one and
one and one the Packers green Bay nine and a
half point favorite at home. I can't see it doing
twice in a row. Uh And so I gotta say
the un We'll go with the Packers at home. Yeah,
I'm gonna like with green Bay two. I agree. Dallas

(02:34:26):
a three point favorite against Detroit the Lions plus three.
No Sean Lee coming off of the big win over
New England, but its New England New England. Detroit controlled
the football, able to run it all day against the Patriots,
who had a six and seven man box. The whole

(02:34:48):
game made it easy for the lines to run. Cowboys
won't do that. But no, Sean Lee. I'll take Detroit
plus the three link. I'm gonna say Detroit as well.
I think Detroit wins this game flat out. Cowboys walls continuing.
All right, let's do one more of the early game
Tampa Bay and Chicago. Fitzpatrick weird game all day night

(02:35:11):
through uh big picks, but kept Tampa in the game. Yeah,
to me, it's silly to even talk about putting James
Winston in over Fitzpatrick. All right, that's how far That's
what I believe. So you know I'm not the biggest
Fitzpatrick fan. However, you can't take him out. Now he

(02:35:33):
has to play against the Bears. The Bears are a
three point favorite. Link Kelly mac I I still think
this defense is gonna be much too hard, But I
don't know. I haven't seen. The Bears don't score a
lot of points. And not to say that that we're
gonna get a shootout, but but I do believe the
Buccaneers can score. I'm gonna take the Bucks. Alright, you

(02:35:56):
got the Bucks. I'm gonna take the Bears. There you go.
We'll come back and we'll finish the rest of the NFL.
It's a Fox Football Saturday with the fellas. All right, fellas,
look at Kennedy Anthony Gargano, and let's do the rest

(02:36:19):
of the game. Shall we? Good? Weekend? Right? We canna football?
Baseball playoffs start next week. Let's go Falcons and Bengals.
Atlanta a four point favorite over Cincinnati. Um boy, our
Cincinnati Bengals. For real. I still think Atlanta is a

(02:36:43):
better team. Then maybe they get into their groove now,
so I'm gonna stay. I'm gonna go Atlanta. I agree,
I think the Falcons already better team. I'm gonna take
Atlanta and I'll mind it late. At four, Arizona Seattle
Josh Rosen Who Josh Rosen against the Cardinals Seahawks at

(02:37:04):
three point favorite. I don't think the Seahawks are very good. Link, Well,
Rosen can win the game? Well, Well, here's the thing.
They had to make this move. I mean, I think
they're dead last and offense of rushing and passing, and
they're lower part and on both sides of the ball
with defense as far as the statistic defense, um, Josh

(02:37:29):
Rosen wasn't the necessary going to be to save all problem.
But their offensive line can't block anybody. And and it's
not like Seattle has a pot and pass rush like yesteryear.
But it's pretty bad. I gotta go with Seattle as well.
All Right, I'm gonna think I rezoned you got. Here's
the game you're doing. Raiders two and a half over

(02:37:51):
Cleveland gonna be a good game. Uh rookies when they
get panicked, they tend to use their legs and more
than the throw. And I do think Baker is gonna
come in with the utmost confidence. Um, but I think
the Raiders are going to have some success, especially running
to the left of this Cleveland Browns defense and taking

(02:38:11):
strikes over the second uh, the intermediate routes. Um. So
I like the Raiders here, alright, I like the Browns. Okay,
I'm gonna take Baker. I think this this game is
at it's like a one point thriller. It might very well.
Be Raiders win by one second field goal. I know

(02:38:36):
the Raiders need to score more than twenty points. That's
damn sure. All right, I give you a lock. I
love Giants and Saints, Saints Lane three and a half.
Give me New Orleans all the way, Saints by double digits.
But here's the thing. This Saints secondary is giving up.

(02:38:57):
The defense is given up a lot of yards. I'm
gonna take the Giants in this one. I don't think
they're gonna I think they're gonna have a hard time
protecting Eli if he tries to stand back and pick
him apart. But I expect him to use s Quan
and I expect him to open up of the passage
of the plash and game. So I'm gonna go with
the Giants, all right, you got it? Niners and Chargers
Chargers ten and a half, no, Jimmy g Yeah it

(02:39:20):
looks ugly. I got the l A Chargers like you
gotta lay it, you gotta lay it. Yeah, all right, Uh,
Pittsburgh and Baltimore, we always love this game, the battle
in the a f C North Baltimore. Look, Baltimore looks good,

(02:39:41):
right they do. I'll tell you all like to dispatch Denver.
Put a lot of points up against Denver. This offense
could score Pittsburgh, and we know that they could score,
and we know that their defense has given up a
ton of points of a ton of yardage. Pittsburgh is
a three point favorite. I'm gonna take Baltimore to win

(02:40:03):
the game. I'm riding with you. I'm taking Baltimore as well.
Really all right, all right, I think the level of
this function continues to rattle in Pittsburgh. This is the
type of loss that makes him. You know, the last
week's win against Tampa Bay was was a good win
and kind of got you know, a little bit of
ease of attention off. But I think because it's Baltimore

(02:40:24):
and they lose a game like this, now I think
it it can it continues to disrupt the ranks of
the locker room. Yeah, I'm with you, all right. Monday
night game is a great game. It's your division, Lincoln,
it's Kansas City, and it's Denver. Kansas City a four
and a half point favorite on the road at mile

(02:40:44):
High on a Monday night. I know what you mean.
I still call him mile high and I've been in
the state of times and it is what it is.
You know, here's the thing we talked about, Kansas City's
defense might maybe being in Achilles, and I'm surprised the
line is this low even with being on the road,

(02:41:04):
especially when Mahomes has done so far this season. I mean,
for crying out a lot, and I think it was
it wasn't this low when they I mean it was
higher than this when they went to the Pittsburgh Um.
And now you can't tell me if Pittsburgh's defense is
much better than Denver's. Denver is susceptible on the second,
on the back end, on the secondary um and their
offense is going to continue struggle as far as case

(02:41:25):
Keenum goes. But Philip Lindsley, the running back, has been
a bright spot from Colorado. Love watching that guy run.
I am going to say, how I gotta, I gotta
take it Kansas City, Kansas City continues. You got Kansas City,
you got the kid over the Broncos. Wow, I'm gonna
go Broncos at home prime time. Give me Denver by

(02:41:51):
the way, Uh, you have Penn State, I have Ohio State. Correct?
Yeah wait no, no, I hapens, Yeah, I had defense.
I Yeah, you're right, right, right. You have pets that
out of staying, and you have Stanford and I and
I have Notre Dame. So it's gonna be a monster day.

(02:42:11):
Monster we can stroll, enjoyed everybody. Fellows are out see
