Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Well, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Happy, happy Thanksgiving weekend to all across the country. This
is we are the Fellas and he is Jeff Schwartz.
I'm Anthony Gargano. Lots to get to rivalry weekend. Ohio
State Michigan. Cheers to Arch who was terrific in the
(00:28):
second half last night as the Horns Welcome took out
A and M in a great game last night. A
lot of good football to get into Black Friday was
not good at least for my squad. Congratulations to the
Bears and watch out the Cowboys are hot.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Good morning, Jeff, Happy Thanksgiving. How could thays give it
to you and to the listeners. Glad to be with
you this weekend. Yeah, sos in Philadelphia. After the performance
we saw yesterday and the continued performance we see of
this of this offense, it is a problem, sir, but
we have so much college football. Today is going to
(01:08):
be a presentented movement day in college football history for coaches.
Lane makes a decision. Lane with a decision. I think
it's gonna end up being l s U. I woke
up this morning and you know those prediction markets, right,
you know, there there's just there's there's a sports Tachi
(01:29):
and poly market and and I you know, I dabbled
those as well, and I've put a couple bucks down
on coaches to end up at certain places. And this
morning the odds had flipped for Florida, where Jet Fish
is now the favorite. And I mean there's there's there's
a lot happening right now in college football. Besides obviously
(01:49):
big rivalry weekends, these games are important, right Georgia now
the Nantasy championship game after the A and M loss
last night. You know, there's a lot of moving parts
in the Big tenstall, right, the big game to you
mentioned our house loses it, Orgon wins, Oregon is in
the Big Ten championship game. You know there's there's there's
a lot of actually happening there. We got multiple coaches
that are probably leaving schools that are either in their
(02:11):
conference championship game, that are in a playoff team. We
know one, right, I mean or Eric Morrison, North Texas
coach is already going to Oklahoma State. He is teams
in the American Championship Game. And so to me, and
then the thing that is so fascinating. Is not just
the individual coaching hires at each school. It's a trickle
down effect, right because you go from if one job
(02:32):
is open, right then then the next job is open,
and the next job is open, and it goes. It
just the trickle down effect is never ending. Right. Think
about I love that you're using this one example. Think
about Alabama. Would Nick Sabon retired, Okay, that cale to
boor left Washington? Okay. Arizona's head coach went from Arizona
(02:53):
to Washington. Santa State's coach went from Santiase State to Arizona,
and then k Kenya Montalolo, who was actually a UCLA
as I sior analysts, went to fill that job of
Santaesday State. That's one job. We're gonna have twelve jobs
that are open. You know, it's gonna be madness, madness
the sport has never seen before at the coaching race.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, let's start with the big story and Lane and
all signs point to LSU.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Feels like you know, bat Tom Rouge will be the
haul for Lane Kiffin. They're gonna make the huge investment.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
They got the Kellys situation figured out, so now it's like,
all right, well figure out. I mean they're paying them
all his money that he's owed.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yes, yeah, exactly, Like they realized that they had no
recourse but to actually fulfill the contract and pay him.
And now they're going to go to get into bed
and commit another one hundred plus million dollars to another coach. Listen,
I mean Lane, it's a long way from the Raiders, right.
(03:58):
Lane knows how to coach it. Loan knows how to
build it. He's got, you know, I mean, if if
you're gonna go out and hand pick anyone in all
of college football, now, I mean, Lane's the top guy of.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
The guys who are available, of course, because there are
and this is what they're sinking about the cycle as
well as a lot of coaches. Stay right now. Alcohol
lost last night. But what he's doing in A and
M is incredible. Yeah, I mean it's Signetti when he's done,
is in Indiana, Madden stay in Nebraska. You know, Clark
Lee's staying at Vanderbilt. Drinkowitzes thing of Missouri.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
And Yeah, but be honest with you, I mean you know,
I mean Lake Tiffin is still the would still be
the top choice.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Now you are your drothers. You gonna have anybody rancom
just to start a job right now? Yeah, you're if
you're let's just say LSU and the world your oyster.
You could be handpicked. Well, I would take Kirby one, Yeah,
I agreed, I would number two would be I mean,
(05:08):
Ryan Day would be too. Obviously, I'm sorry I'd even
thought about that for that long. I take Ryan Day
and then I would probably take Dan Lanning. Well, I do,
I do? That was happening, Captain? Am I wrong? Tell
me I'm wrong?
Speaker 4 (05:20):
I mean Lane's You know, I like Dan, so I
don't want to.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
I don't want to, you know, I don't want to
sit here and disagree with him because I like him
a lot.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
I love him. Here's here's my I mean, Lane late
Laide's brilliant coach, make you do everything. He's proven it.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
The one thing Dan hasn't done. Lane's done.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
He's proven it. He's been around. So here's here's my
my my strongest Dan Lanning take is this. I think
we're gonna see it happened this season the way it's
tracking right now. So Lane obviously he's been coaching a
long time, right, Dan Lanning has not right, it's just
his fourth year ever as head coach than me, and
(05:59):
they're they're on track. Organ is to finish a game
ahead of where they finished last year, which has been
every single season, like he's got every year they finished
one game ahead of when they want the previous season.
And so I think that's the number one thing Lanning
has going for him is that the success is getting
better every season. No, look, I think Lande is the
(06:20):
best option available for LSU. You know he's gonna probably
bring over Chambliss right from Old Miss, which is hugely important.
And then you know the thing is he's just got
He's just he just has to. You don't get continue
to build the defense at LSU. The defense of Old
Miss last year was much better than this season has
been as good this season. And I think that he
feels that and this I think he's right for this.
(06:42):
You you have a limit, a ceiling at Old Miss
for how high you can go in the postseason, I think,
And you don't have that ceiling at LSU, don't have
that scene at Florida, and he's calculating that he's a
better chance. I think he's right to win a championship
at LSU and at Florida or at Florida, then he
does at Old Miss. I think he's right. I think
he's right about that calculation. It's hard to win championship,
(07:07):
as we know in this sport, and a lot of
the championships are won by teams in a previous one
championships in the last twenty years. Right and uh and
and this is the opportunity for him to do that
right now at at you know again, at at LSU.
So this move makes sense. I know, I know it's
crazy to think that he's leaving through the mind of
a playoff run for Old Miss, but Old Miss is not.
(07:29):
He's going to really do much in the playoffs. I mean, right,
I don't. I think we all agree on that, just
not not how they're built right now defensively, So I
get it. I get while he's leaving and they're giving
him a bazillion dollars, So, uh, all have doing the
show with you. If someone offers me ninety million dollars
a different morning show on Saturday, I'm out of here. So,
I mean part of it. He's getting out. You're a
think ninety million dollars supposedly, right, do you leave me
(07:52):
for ninety million. If you if you didn't leave me
for ninety million, I would be upset. But I mean,
you know, part of it again is that, like you know,
this is money matters, right and much. I think Old
Miss could probably scrouch together enough to pay him that much.
But also too, you know, ls u's giving him a
bigger coaching pool, ls US giving him a an n
(08:13):
L budget that he didn't have Old I mean, it's
they don't matter. And as much as the Old Miss,
it's shame it is because you know, you feel bad,
like but yeah, that's why there's l s U and
you know, and that's why there's Old Miss. I mean,
the program matters. You're right about the trickle down. I mean,
(08:35):
Penn State, the Pen State is fascinating me. If it
feels like, uh, your boys out right, he's out for sure? Okay,
so Matt rules out for sure. I mean there's there's
talk that some of these extensions that were signed not
to that rules but are just like sort of formalities
and just they sort of said those to get through
the season and they're not actually actually signed. So that's
(08:58):
what I was asking. Fair, So you know, yes, it's
your boy I'm going to ask you about your boy.
Of course, you know, no clerk Lee right the one
Domino today, it sounds like it's kailin the bores. You
want to leave Alabama? You know, if they played poorly
in the Iron Bowl? Does Alabama? Does he want to
leave the pressure of that situation to go to Penn State.
If not, it feels like Penn State is going to
(09:19):
the Chesney route the JMU head coach. So it seems
like but he see, this is the thing with firing
coaches and this is why I caught you team to
do so, is that is Chesney a better coach with
James Franklin. It would be no now, obviously, and you
could argue that Franklin reached his limit there, which is
certainly fair to say. So I'm not arguing that that
like it was going to get better, but you're probably
(09:41):
not hiring a better head coach. But I'm curious. I'm
Chesney though. It would be an interesting higher. I'd really
like to see that there. The GMU head coach JAMU
twelve and oer this season, it sounds like that's the
higher for Penn State. I don't think they see that
would be the higher where they fired him when.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
No, no, no they did not. I can tell you
for of fact it did not. But here's the thing,
Like you know, Franklin, it just is what it is.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Man, you have to do it right. Like it was
the same when Ady Reid left Philly. It was it
was like time to go, like it was, yeah, he
had run its course, it was time to go. And
I get it. But as we have said all along,
like you want to hire a coach that's better. I
think Penn State thought they were getting the Matt rule
of drinko Witz like I thought they were. They thought
(10:28):
they were one of those names they and Chesney, by
the way, might be the best option, Like might work
out for him that way. Yeah, they might work out
that But but that's not who they thought they were
hiring when they fired James Franklin. And I think I
think this whole cycle is going to be a rude
awakening for a lot of those schools that realize that
they're not as as as cool as I think they are.
(10:49):
But be Nil has changed this game so much, right,
Like you're Eli Drinkowitz in your Missouri you have enough
money to compete every year when went out the pressure
of having, you know, to be at at Penn State
or at Florida, and we saw this year doesn't get hurt, right,
what what are they? I mean, it's it's it's it's
(11:09):
it's a playoff challenging team, right And if you realize
you could do that there, what what Why go to
Florida and try to do the same thing. He's in
the SEC already. So an l has really changed. I
think the desire for some of these coaches to do
to have to go to a big school like they
used to have to do to.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Win, right, Right, It's just You're is still going to
be the the top shelf, right and Lush's the top
shelf absolutely, So you know in Florida.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
You know, and if it appears there's a direction there, but.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I think, well, I'll tell you Florida interesting this morning
is I think I mentioned like Jed Fish is now
the huge favorite to go to Florida this morning, which
was now yesterday, and I on that. But also as
an organ fan who plays Washington today, I would it
would be a very big distraction if their head coach
was thinking about the photo job as he's trying to coach.
(12:10):
It's Organ today, So I would take it for the
hilarity of that option for me. And so I think
Jeff Fish is a good coach and that it would
be I think Washington hire a better coach, which would
worry me. Hates Washington, but the hilarity of Washington fans
seeing that in real time today would make me laugh
a lot. So I'm rooting for the laughing option because
I'm I'm it's college football, man. Come on, I feel you, buddy,
(12:34):
I avail you. I get it.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
And then on the field last night or yesterday, it
was what a game our second half. I gotta tell you,
I love the kid because I think the kid has
been raked through the colls and I get it. You know,
nobody's gonna cry for him, but I think he's a
good kid. And I just thought he played so well.
(13:00):
It's composure last night in the second half. You know
that offense struggle. Then he struggled early in that game.
That's a great defense. And you know, he made a
couple of huge throws. He made a couple of big
plays with his legs. That was a big win for Texas.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
It was and I'll tell you what, Texas, it's not
a playoff team, no matter what Sark says. But I
gotta tell you they battled this year, like it's gonna
be interesting to talk about them heading the next season
because Archie presumably comes back and he has moments where
it was bad, he has moments where it's good. You
can see, you can see where it has a chance
to be good. Right, you can see that. We all
(13:37):
see that. And the question is can he do that
essentially every every week?
Speaker 5 (13:44):
Right?
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Can he? Can he more consistent each and every week?
That was a win last night that you know, unfortunately
is going to start discussion about, well, if they didn't
play Ohio State, they would be a playoff team. I
continue to play Ohio State. You also lost a game
you shouldn't have lost. That's why you're not a playoff team. Nothing,
there's nothing to do with Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
And while you're going to hear that, I mean, the
crime is going to get loud, well.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Crowd, they wont but you lost in Florida, So I know,
Cridmey River Texas. Uh, that's obviously you know that's you
gotta win those games and they didn't if you would
be a playoff team. So really good for Texas, A
and M just with a complete melt the worst time. However, look,
I don't know. I think it's so funny in the
(14:29):
grand scheme of things, if you A and M now
gets to miss the as the championship game, gets to
rest a week, gets to look at this loss and
sort of reevaluate where they are heading into the postseason,
like it's not the worst thing. I know, you want to,
you know when they you know, win the championship and
have a buy, but it's not really the it's very
Ohio State now. They're not just good to Ohio State
(14:50):
from last season, but it's very Ohio State ESQ. Right,
you get a chance just to sit back, enjoy conference
championship weekend, leak your wounds and figure out what's wrong.
You'll reach the just inconsistent as a young player, which
is which is totally normal for that. But I'm looking
forward now to seeing George, which I don't think Georgia
wants to play as a change of game, but now
they are there back in Georgia, we'll mean look as
(15:13):
an Organ guy like I I want to win today.
I do not want Organ to play in the big
the Championshi game we're too hurt, We're too beat up
or too hurt, like leave us that kind of that game.
So I get where George is coming from, like your
season like it doesn't. And this is why I think
confined championship games are probably done because there's just if
fan bases can say I don't want to play in them,
like what what what? What? What are we doing here?
(15:36):
So I think those are on the outs. Yeah, I
mean I just can't see them giving away that kind
of revenue generator. No, what you them is as like
as like playing games for the playoffs now that they'll
be like three four will play not one two. Yeah,
(15:56):
I can see that. Yeah, imagined, I think that's how
but like you know, now it would be it would
be like Oregon Michigan would play and the losers out
and the winners in the playoff that were even five
six like whatever it would be, whatever iteration it would be,
it would end up being well.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Again, And that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
I mean that I could say, that's why I think
it's gonna happen in the new playoff format.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Yeah, that makes that makes a ton of sense.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Today on the field, who can't wait, I know Ohio
State Michigan and this is the game, right, you know,
can Michigan be that physical force that they've been that
they were last year? Or is this finally it?
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Because those Ryan Day doesn't matter about the championship, right,
It's about beating Big Blue and is today to day
they flexed their nine and a half point favorite.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
I think it is Mischian just can't they can't. I
don't think move the ball, Ohio stay in this game.
I say Michigan under sixteen and a half points in
this game. I just wow, Let me just tell you
that real quick, because the brain can't join us today.
He got his flight was late.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
He has two is a couple of NFL plays, but
his one college play is Michigan team total under seventeen.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Yeah, just like you. Yeah, I just don't see. He's
a Michigan guy too, mind you, So he has you
know a little bit like like me, Like just I
think we both see this game the same way. Yeah,
I just I just don't see. I just don't see
the points here from Michigan. They they struggle to move
the ball offensive against good teams. Bryce Underwood is going
(17:47):
to be good. It's not good now, right, So it's
not good now, and like that's fine, that's totally acceptable
to not be good now. He's just he's not good
enough in this moment, I think to win this game,
and I don't. They're gonna score now, how state is?
You know? I think Tate and Smith are good to go.
We don't really know, obviously until they get on the
(18:07):
field or whatnot. But I'm, you know, very fascinating to
see this game. I think I think it's low scoring.
I do think it's low scoring, but that's all how
to say sort of offense I think by design is
they sort of try to try and to go a
little bit slow every now and then. So looking forward
to this one, man, it's gonna be gonna be a
ton of fun. And uh but I think I don't
(18:27):
think Michigan's gonna score very much of this one. No,
I would agree. I'll like, ah, stay big, I'd be
honest with you. All Right, let's take a quick t
o we'll go.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
We'll come back to rivalry weekend, go through each of
the games as we always do.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
But I need to be in the on the Cats
right now in therapy.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Because I'm watching an offense that is completely shattered, completely broken.
I need a moment to talk about my defending champion
Philadelphia Eagles. I have to pick your brain, Jeff, because
I'm in a bad place.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Eight months ago, top of the world, Super Bowl, Proton Philly.
Now now I want to fire everybody, and I'm in
a dark place. Get ready to quarterback, Get ready to
coach thoughts and prayers from everyone else who didn't win
a Super Bowl last year.
Speaker 3 (19:26):

(20:49):
I got a buddy of mine, Tasty Cake Dom and
who loves loves a show, big fan of yours, Jeff,
And Dom said, have Jeff playing what he meant by
teams in the Big Ten that wouldn't want to go
to the Big Ten championship. And you know, like, I
(21:10):
get what you're saying because you're talking about, you know,
teams get healthy.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
It doesn't matter as much to elaborate on that first.
People are like Dom, Okay, so I'm talking about Oregon.
So my organ ducks. Right, we play Washington today. If
Ohio State loses, then we win. We play Indiana next
week in Indianapolis. Currently on offense, right now, we are
down wide receiver, one wide receiver, two wide receiver.
Speaker 7 (21:35):
Four.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
We left last game down left tackle, one right tackle
one off as the center one, So we left last
game down three offensive lineman. I think some are gonna
play today. Our backup off the tackles already out, you know,
like we are a beat up team. The purpose of
this season is to try to win a championship, and
(21:56):
it's best served having our players healthy to do so
and play Indiana again in a week with our beat
up team doesn't really serve that purpose. And so we
won the champion him last year. It's great, look organ
plays in that game this year. Root for us to win,
of course, but it just in the grand scheme of things,
it doesn't help us get to where the end goal
is this season, which I think the way college football
(22:19):
is currently constructed, we have a chance to go far
in the playoffs, and that doesn't again, it doesn't really
help us to play in the big the championship game. Yeah,
and it makes perfect sense, makes perfect sense. So that
that's why, like what, yeah, what purpose does it serve?
Play like like a like if we beat Indiana, okay,
where we get a buye which is great, which obviously
(22:39):
is great, but like, selfishly, I want Oregon to host
a home playoff game so I can go to the
home playoff game, like I would like to go. That
would be fun to go to. If we're not gonna
win a championship, which don't get I don't know if
we're gonna do this season, give me a home playoff
game so I can so I can like go to
Eugene and watch them play, like that's what I would
rather do. I tell you right now, probably would miss
(23:00):
the show on that Saturday, but I'm gonna go to
Eugene and like, and I'd like to watch a play
a playoff game, so selfishly, like that's what I would
like to do if they obviously that's to play Indiana
or get too beat up. I don't want that to happen.
So it's not that I don't think there's value in it.
I just think that personally for me as an organ fan,
it doesn't fit. I think where the team wants to
(23:21):
you know what they want to do this season? Yep,
all right, I need help. So my squad is broken,
my offense is broken, and I even worse, like for
people don't know.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
The Eagles went to the Super Bowl in twenty twenty
two and twenty twenty three, they were ten in one
and they collapsed.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
It was ugly.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
They lost I guess five or six. It was down
the stretch and they lost in the first round of
Tampa Bay and the playoffs. There was a lot of
consternation about Nick Sirianni, whether or not he would be
back as head coach.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
They bring him back.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
They're two or two last year at the break at
their bye week, a lot to talk about whether or
not he would get fired. He was able to write
the ship. They became this downhill run team. Kellen Moore
was the OC. Obviously he gets a job, goes to
New Orleans. There's yet another new offensive coordinator and his
(24:26):
name is Kevin Patulo. Has been on the staff for
a minute. And this offense has been broken really all year.
Like you've seen glimpses and they'll have a spot like
a quarter or two where they go up and down
the field and put up some points, but it's been
pretty bleak over the last six weeks. They beat Detroit,
(24:47):
they beat Green Bay, but the defense was superhuman.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
It wasn't super human.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Yesterday they gave up two over two hundred yards on
the ground and they lose.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Jeff, do you see it so well? It starts with this, right, uh, Phillies.
The best version of Phillies offense is when Saquon Barkley
is the focal point of the offense, which I think
is the reason why people just don't give the love
the Jalen Hurts as they should, even though Jalen Hurts
(25:20):
was fabulous to the Super Bowl when the Chiefs did
take away the run game, right, like, he deserves credit
for that, But the run game is what is the
engine of this offense, and it's not been as good
as he's it for I think multiple reasons. One is
that Barkley had a lot of snaps last year. It's
hard when when you have as many snaps he did
to come back the next year and be as as good.
Speaker 7 (25:40):
It Just, dude, I think it's well, yeah, well, I'm
getting I'm kidding. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I mean, I'm
jumping in. I'm freaked out the lane. Johnson being out
is obviously not good in right tackle, but you also,
just like you had.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Injuries to Jurgis this year, you've had injuries a Dickerson
like those guys are back, but they're not one hundred percent.
They're not They're not as good. It's the offensive line
this year, which you relied on so often and which
was the best in football for for if it wasn't them,
it was Detroit is one too, right, Like the and
the edgine of that team just isn't what it used
to be. And then I think, look again, I like
(26:16):
Jalen Hurts, but I think the offense being solely on
him is not is not gonna as function as well,
right Like, That's just it's the truth to It doesn't
mean he sucks or he's not good, right, It's just
the offense is much better when it's very focused on
say Kwa Barkley, right uh, and being a run, physical team,
and they don't have that right now. So there's just
(26:37):
a lot of issues with, you know, with this offense,
and I don't know if there is any solutions, and
I know we want to fire the OC that will
probably happen. But here here, to me, is is really
something that we have to talk about. Is that most
NFL coaches have a specialty right there, defense, and Nick
(26:58):
Sierani is an offensive coach who refuses to take control
of the offense. That's a huge problem when you when
you have something that you specialize in, that's all you
get hired offense defense. Now John Harbaugh is the one
exception of the spect teams guy. But for the most part,
you're hired and you do something well offensive defense, and
when things are going poorly, you have to be the
(27:21):
person to make the changes. You have to step in
and be the guy. And right now, Sirianni, it hurt
him in this post game yesterday, He's like, Nah, I'm
not doing anything like buddy, this is your team. You're
losing your team. You're an offensive guy. You have to
step in now. Of course after the game, maybe not
the right time to bring up your changing play callers,
(27:42):
but like Sirianni's got, he's got, he has got to
step in. Yeah, this is what you know best. You
have to make this right. If you're a Sirianni. If
you don't do it, then you're not the right coach
with his job right And I know he just wants
to go that's the problem, right, Like you nailed it
so long ago.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
He began his Eagles tenure as the play caller and
he gave it up. But they offense struggled. It was
early on and he gave it up pretty quickly, which
I always thought was odd, But he gave it up
to Shane Steichen who's now coaching the Colts, and Stikeen.
(28:23):
He really did well, right, Like, you know, they had
a good playoff run. The next year they go to
the Super Bowl with Stiching as the play caller. Syriett,
he's been this weird CEO.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Coach.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Jalen and him did not have a really good relationship,
and there was a lot of talk about, you know
that Jalen didn't want him around last year in the
meetings and he was kind of on the outs with
the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
They had the men defense.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Of course, you know, when you win and everything's fine,
but you know, it was a Kellen Moore production last year,
and he and I have a lot to do with it.
This year, he's got more fingerprints on it because he's
very close to Patulo and his approach is to go
ultra conservative with Hurts and have him not turn the
ball over, which you know, listen, it's great that when
(29:16):
you don't turn it over.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
And the Eagles have won a ton of games.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I mean, his record is ridiculous, right, Like it's Lombardi
esque over his first few years, it's like weirdly ridiculous.
But the problem is you can't go into your your
game plan can't be I'm not gonna turn the ball over, correct.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
I we to me look at turnovers as a society,
and for mossiety in the wrong way.
Speaker 8 (29:40):
Man.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
There are dumb turnovers, of course there are, but there
are just also quarterbacks trying to make a play and
like you're gonna they're gonna make mistakes. They're gonna make mistakes.
And the thing is, when you design an offense the
way the Eagles do, your march with error is nothing
like you have a couple of bad drives called bad quarters,
(30:04):
and all of a sudden you're down two scores now,
and it's hard to turn it back on. It's hard
to to not be playing well offensively and then just decide, okay,
let's score, now, let's score and that it's all those
things are issues for Philly right now. There's no solution.
I mean, you know the issues they had last year
or sort of trickling over now, but they covered them
(30:25):
up because Barkley was so good and the offensive line
was so good. The defense was so good I think
yesterday though too man Like, your defense got bullied yesterday,
which which was like rather shocking. The Bears offensive line
is playing much better now that they've sort of gotten
used to playing all together, right, there had a bunch
of new pieces last year. But like, you guys got
freaking bullied at the line of scoping. I mean, it's
the first time the Bears had two one hundred yard
(30:47):
runners in forty years yars rushing and yeah, and that
was really surprising to me yesterday as well, that your
defense sort of like just shocking.
Speaker 7 (31:00):
It was.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Yeah, look, I mean it was shocking. I mean I
felt the Eagles would be the one with the two
hundred yards on the ground. I thought, since the Bears
are missing their three starting linebackers, right and the Eagles
are not, and Eagles have issues in the back end,
which they lost their safety. But he's not even a
run support safety, right, like he's Andrew mccoob I'm talking about.
(31:26):
I'm stunned that that they had their way like that
and just blowing the front got manhandled. That was the
thing that stood out to me was just how bad
Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis just got bullied inside.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Yeah, it was. It was rather shocking. Look, this is
a very valid and win for the Bears, who you know,
you know we talked about a certain way. I think
it was rightly fair, right, I mean they were plus
their minus three turnover differential, their eight and three intert
in a point differential, and I think we rightfully talked
about them in a way that was befitting of how
(32:03):
they were looking, even though they're eye though they're you know,
their year was going well. How about just a validating
win for for Ben Johnson yesterday? Right, he's a coach, man,
he's a good coach, and so you know, what what
do you guys do from here? Is? You know, like
the Eagles, you obviously still have a lot of football left.
I don't think Dallas will catch you, but I'm not
gonna say they won't. Man, Listen, they could win out
(32:23):
and the Eagles can the Eagles right now, they're eight
and four. They got to go at the Chargers next week.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
I know the Charges are banged up, but still, Uh,
then they got the Raiders, that's probably a win.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Uh, and then it should be a win or else.
The whole thing's go. If you don't beat the Raiders,
there's a lot of people that don't have jobs anymore.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
And then you're at Washington at Buffalo home Washington. So
you got Washington twice. I mean, you should win both
at at the very least is split. You'll beat the
Raiders and it comes down to charge do you probably
lose against Buffalo, And that's kind of where they're at.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
They should probably finish with eleven.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Or twelve nog of error, So right, they all have
to win out and they got Detroit next week, so
you know, I know, yeah, so I would expect the
Eagles still hang on, but the Cowboys are feeling themselves
and then we'll get to them in a little bit
because of how good they looked Christmas Day in relation
(33:25):
to the Chiefs too. But back to the Eagles. What
I would do, God, I hate to say this, but
I would. I would do this.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
I mean, Jalen would have an ancho injury and I
would start McKee. And here's why, Right, I need to
figure out what is wrong with the offense and I
need to see McKee running. So and here's and here's
how I couch it. Jalen needs two weeks off. I
(34:00):
need him to be he's banged up, right like, so
we're saving face. You're banged up, and he needs to
see he's not seeing things. He's missing wide open guys.
He's got to stick a step back. And sometimes, and
you know this, sometimes when the guy's on the sidelines
for a couple of weeks, it changes their perspective and
(34:22):
then at least I know his organization that because listen,
I'm not other coordinators tell me at times that they
that they like McKee, not that they like McKey better
than Hertz, but they like McKee a lot. I mean
because like he'll run their offense right like right like
he'll do He's not gonna be his dynamic as Jalen, but.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
He's gonna run their offense.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
And I think it would be good to see someone
different behind center just to kind of diagnose the issues.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Is John beat up right now? Well, you know as
much as you're going to be in November. So you're
suggesting like like the like the Vikings being like MacArthur's
a concussion. He's not playing right now. He's not playing.
He's a concussion, And you're like where, I don't know,
it just happened. It had trust us, trust us bro it.
(35:17):
That's what I would do. I mean I would I
I would do that.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
I he'd have concussion and I'd sit him down and
I go, listen, dude, you're you're not playing well.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
You're missing guys. You need to sit down for two weeks.
You're still our number one. You're gonna come back the
whole mind. But I gotta I gotta get your head
right and you got to sit and watch. And I
need to also diagnose Patola because what if it's a
Hurts issue right now and not the OC. Now. No, listen,
(35:50):
I think it's the OC, but I think he's got issues.
But what if some of those issues are exacerbated by
what the OC can call because Jalen's just not playing well.
I mean, it's certainly fair. I don't know if you
can hanging one second, because we gotta take a time
out and I want your full answer on this. Where
(36:10):

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Full diagnosis now, Beatles, Well, well, the question I stopped
you just because I wanted you to elaborate and not
be rushed.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
I I but you have to. I got add especially
a number five and a half minutes later. How would
I fix the Eagles? Is that? I think that's what
we're talking about, correct, Yeah, okay. I like when offenses
(37:19):
are struggling and they they pick up the tempo. I
think it's important to try to force your offense to
have to do to have to operate quicker. And what
it does is it obviously sort of everyone gets a
little more alert to what's happening. And when you force
(37:39):
the ball out quickly by formation and by play design,
it really simplifies who's fault it is.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
They've been doing this, man, they've been yeah, but not
the tempo piece of it. But it needs to be
a change. You have to pick the quarterback or to
co or the play caller.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Well, then then that's gotta be right now the play
caller if you're picking someone. But I I don't know.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
I really struggle because the quarterback is in See he
twice had guys wide open for touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (38:12):
See the guy play you all staring in the face?
Speaker 2 (38:15):
You also had it was a couple of plays when
wide receivers are in the same spot on the field. Like, yes,
it's it's it's not a great it's just not functioning
very well. It's just it's just it's not And you
got to figure out why that isn't. I don't know
if benching Jalen Hurts is the way to do it either.
But well, again, the injury, you're you're not benching on
(38:38):
your ear. He's he's missing two weeks with an injury,
and he's got to get his head right. I mean,
I mean, he hasn't played well all year. I mean,
it's the truth of the matter. Do you trust me.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
I've seen it's all twenty two everyone.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
I lived it.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
It's he's not playing well.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Do you think that he's not the quarterback of the
future in Philly or do you think see he thinks
that he's a reset. I mean, obviously a new office
coordinator is going to happen this offseason. But but then
here's the problem with them. You want the truth. The
truth of the matter with Jalen is if he's not
a part of the run game, he's not an effective quarterback.
(39:16):
He needs to be part of the run game to
be effective. But to be that elite player, Yeah, it's
it's a lot like Cam Newton, where you Cam like
had to be hit and had to be part of
the run game for him just to feel to be
better as a quarterback. The problem, of course, is that
the more times the quarterback gets hit, the less likely
learn to stay healthy.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
And I understand, I mean, but that's part of your
that's part of what it is. I mean Russ, Russ
was able to do it up until the end when
his legs finally go.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
Russ was but they didn't really use Russ in the
run game. He was a scrambler. Like I know, we're
not design runs for hr I hear you. I which,
by the way, design quarterback runs I think are awesome,
especially in the short yard, is a They're freaking awesome.
And obviously Eagles have done it so well for touch,
but even fumble the twitch push yesterday. You fumble a
twitcht push yesterday. What do we do it in Philly? Yeah? Yeah,
(40:10):
he knows how to take care of himself though, I know,
but it's a it's accumulation of hits. It's it's a
lot and I get one two. He has to be
a part of it, man. All the wise, he's not
good enough and thrower to do it like.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
He's not gonna sit back in the pocket and pick
people apart what he is fellas on Fox.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
Be sure to select Fox Sports. It's one of your

up at the top of your screen. How would your
Thanksgiving buddy?
Speaker 2 (41:10):
It was very good. My family. My brother is here
with his baby and his wife's that's a lot of fun.
We fried turkey and we had a good good time.
It's not very cold here in Charlotte, though, which is
you know, it's just we're not used to like, you know,
wake up in the morning and the freeze a freeze warning, right, Like,
it's a little different for us. So it's a little
(41:31):
chilly out here for our soft southern bones that are
used to the warm sun. But otherwise it is it's
been a lot of how about you.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
See what I've even saying, it's freezing here. So it's
right now, it's twenty nine degrees.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
I know it's cold because the fountains are on in
the pool, which means that it's below freezing because they
run the fountains run to not freeze the pipe. So
I know, like that's that's my gay trow cold it
is that the fountains are on or not.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
Yeah, yeah, it's pretty it's pretty nasty. Uh it's now
in the Midwest.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
I mean it's uh, you know, winners here and uh
but it was great and we had our turkey ball
we play every year, all friends and family, the kids
and everybody, Okay, we did that.
Speaker 4 (42:13):
We love our turkey ball, and uh it was fun.
As always, my kids.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
Are more likely to like want to like play baseball
then like want to do a turkey ball like they're like,
they're all like I was like, let's go play sports outside.
They'd be like baseball, t ball, t ball, I mean
wool football, woo fotball. I did right right big into
uh into baseball softball. Yeah. I mean that's awesome, that's awesome.
But yeah, a little turkey ball is all be fun.
(42:38):
Oh I totally agree. Yeah, but uh yeah, I mean
this morning just talking about wife, like, I think today
is going to be a sports morning after after work here.
If it warms up a little bit, it's like so cold,
I even fun to go play, like shoot some hoops
or you know, get you know, get a little softball
picture and going. I'm at the point where I gotta
I probably have to buy shitting guards for myself because
(43:00):
catching the kids as they're as they're playing right now
is my shilds. Are my ships get beat up, But
I like that they're pretty beat up. I feel you.
I sit on that bucket for hours, man getting getting
pegged pegged in a leg. We're we have a championship
(43:21):
football game today, so uh, two o'clock at one of
the high schools about an hour from here. And so
it's a big day, championship Saturday for us, for my masimo,
So good luck, good luck to him. Oregon plays at
three thirty against Washington. So if I was, if I
was in the championship game as a parent, be a
be a tough one for me to have. The it's
(43:45):
Washington weekends, you know. It's like, yeah, it's things in
life that are important. Beating Washington's one of them. Yeah,
I hear you, buddy, I hear you. Well, you know,
you know certain things you have to choose. They say
you have to say sorry your kid, sorry kid. Of
course I'll choose the kids.
Speaker 6 (43:59):
But that.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
The availability to watch on your phone now really has
it been a game changer?
Speaker 6 (44:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (44:06):
Yeah, no, it's great. It's great, you know, but we're
all focused, you know, our help coach. So it's a
lot of.
Speaker 3 (44:12):
Fun and where everybody's pumped up. So we're we're excited
for the big game today. Did you you were killing
every man? So you fried the turkeys. I've never had
deep fried turkey.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
Dude, but it's so good, so you reject it with
this creole butter and and you and you know, I
telling you a picture right now and you you deep
for about fifteen minutes, thirteen pound bird and it's the
skin is so crispy, the meat stays moist and U
(44:46):
d yeah, And.
Speaker 4 (44:48):
Part of that's a good looking bird.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Look at that. Part of the thing with with chicken
and turkey is is the breast, right, it's really dry
if it's cooking too long or this way doesn't get dry.
And then I throw in some extra lugs and wings
for the rest. I like turkey, so I'll I'll eat
it like all weekend. I'll make sandwiches with it, like I'll.
And then my mom made stuff and my brother made
mashed potatoes, green bean casse role. We had my wife
(45:13):
named Macaroni. So we had a full uh a full,
a full pumpkin pie and other desserts charcuterie board. Beforehand.
We had a full day on Thursday. It was a
lot of fun, family and football and we're just hanging
around the house. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
Yeah, it's great, man, A lot of fun, you know, like,
and the games were fantastic, So let's dive into them.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
The Cowboys are hot, all man, and you listen, you
were right. I was Chiefs, your fine Chiefs, your fine Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (45:51):
You're fine. And they weren't fine.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
They even the magic, the magic couldn't beat the Cowboys.
Man Pickens with sensational again, CD with sensational dack Man,
that's a good defense, and that big blitz spags in
him with a man zero.
Speaker 2 (46:11):
After the Chiefs one twenty, she went up twenty one
to twenty.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
There was a big third and long spags go zero
and Dak big play to Pickens down the sidelines.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Shee's are not good right now, despite what the analytics say,
despite what the number say. You you have to win
big moments to be good in the National Football League
as much as every play matters, and it certainly does,
because you can't get to the end of games with
(46:49):
it being a touchdown or less unless you play well
to start to start the game right. But the game
comes down to four to seven plays, always does, and
for years as the Chiefs won those four to seven plays,
and they no longer win the four to seven plays anymore.
It's the biggest problem. Right. You mentioned the last play
(47:10):
right where they needed to get a stop and couldn't
get it done. Mahomes, dude, this is absolutely wild the
Chiefs this seasons. I mean, Mahomes Chiefs. What everyone says.
Mahomes lost three comebacks his last eight games. So comeback
as defiance trailing the fourth thrower, took a lead and
then lost the game. Right remember they were down twenty fourteen,
(47:32):
they come back twenty one to twenty. He lost three
comebacks his last eight games. It took Tom Brady two
hundred and nine starts to have his third loss comeback.
Oh man, So it's just not complimentary football. Right now.
They go up twenty one to twenty and the defensive
media allows a touchdown. It's not good right now. They
(47:53):
can't rush the passer unless Chris Jones wins immediately. And then,
of course the other option is to blitz, and Spags
did that all game and the first quarter they got
a big interception. But since since that moment, Dak Prescott
was incredible against you know, against anything they game on
third down, it just was it's just being.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
The blitz too, because now they get the ball out.
Quit me, Dak gets the ball out quick.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
Correct, it's correct, and that that makes it a lot
more difficult. It's because they the the exceptional wide receivers
they have. And look, most teams have one corner that's
really good and one that's okay. It's a Chiefs, right McDuffie,
and he got burned in this game, and Watson's fine,
and they miss you know, they miss you know, Hicks
was out and they missed him, and this in the
back end. But more importantly, it's just it's not clean
(48:36):
enough this season. Again, it comes down to four to
seven plays in the game. The Chiefs are not good
at those four to seven plays right now. Their offensive
line is beat the heck. They got their out three
guys that ended the game with with both their tackles
out and the right guards to start the game, and
so I I don't expect it to get better. Uh,
their schedule allows a little bit of flexibility, I think
with with a couple of the teams they played, But
(48:57):
like Houston comes to town next week with that defense
of line, again, chief going to do against against that,
against those tackles. And I do not believe that the
Chiefs should fire Andy Reid. I think that's that's silly.
But a lot of Eagles fans are talking about this
(49:20):
or like tweeting that this is how it felt at
the end with Andy Reid that I disagree with that
that's wrong, but a bunch of tweets It doesn't matter
that random people don't. But the thing is that it
is very stale and offense right now for the most part,
(49:43):
and I am curious to see what they do this
offseason to make it less stale. I think that there
are too many people on staff that are too close
to Andy Reid, right. I think it's important to have
dissenting voices at times. I think Eric b enemy. I
don't well, I don't know if Eric, you know, he
didn't design the offense, but a just sentive I think
a pushback voice, right, like he didn't design the offense.
(50:06):
We know how it works. But you need I'm not
saying the airk pianame's the reason why they're winning a losing,
But you need someone I think that is capable of
pushing back a little bit the offense. Dude. Look, they
came out in the second drive, all right, and they
had two runs under center that went for like eight
and went for seven, like really good runs. They didn't
(50:27):
run under center for another three quarters and stuff like
that where it's like what what what we're like purposely,
it feels like we're purposely just not running a good place.
And so I concerns about the play calling and the
offense design. But in the end, look, they're just not
winning the big moments. It's kind of that simple.
Speaker 4 (50:44):
Yeah, yeah, they're not they're not winning a big moments.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
It is true.
Speaker 4 (50:50):
It doesn't trust me someone who who rode with Andy
during that period of time.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
This is not that time. It does not feel like
that feels pretty good for you, Jerry Jones, though they're hot.
Speaker 4 (51:03):
They're hot, man, with this.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
It's so good in Dallas right now that Jerry Jones
out here telling people that he offered the Jets Michael
Parsons and a first round pick for Quinn Williams. That's
how it's going so well right now, that Jerry's making
up trades that the offer teams just just just to
like he said that he offered, he offered. So he said,
he offered Michael Parsons and the first round pick for
(51:30):
Quinn Williams, and the Jets said no, right right, because
they couldn't afford Michael Parsons.
Speaker 4 (51:35):
You Afford Parsons. Yeah, it's stupid. You're right right right.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
Now Dallas brings up something that I that I think
it's so important to talk about. Okay, so we often
talk about it's so true about right like you you
want to play well at the end of the season.
You want to be peaking right now. Okay, you agree
on that. I agree on that. You want to you
want to be peeking right now. The that's for playoff teams,
(52:04):
right they want to be peaking at the moment. But
we often ignore early season results when we conveniently want
to be like, oh, it given matter, like they'll figure
it out, they'll you know, they'll they'll get better. Well,
the Cowboys right now are great example of why those
games matter all season long. The Cowboys are playing better
(52:26):
football right now, but because they lost the Panthers and
the Bears and the Cardinals, they're not making the playoffs.
So all the I'm playing better now, we're playing better now. Great,
it's awesome, they're peaking and they won't be a playoff
team because they lost games or in the season they
shouldn't have lost. And the games all matter, and of
(52:46):
course you want to be playing better now. But if
you win the early games, doesn't matter how good you're
playing now, you're not gonna be in the playoffs. The
Cowboys have such an uphill climb to make it because
they blew games early seas they shouldn't have lost. So
all this good will, all this feeling good, it might,
it might lead to a back door. You're way to
the postseason. Maybe the Lions crumble down the shat down
they play Thursday, and whoever wins Thursday is in. I
(53:07):
think the loser is probably out. But you set yourself
up because you didn't win there on the season to
have to be perfect this time of year.
Speaker 3 (53:16):
Right now, your point's right on. Uh, here's who the
Cowboys have left. You mentioned at Detroit Thursday home Minnesota,
home Chargers, at Commanders, at Giants. The last four extremely winnable. Look,
you can only you only go one at a time.
(53:37):
If you are able to beat Detroit and the Lions
right now are Scoffland. If you could beat Detroit and
they have trouble in their back end.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
The interesting down you, as an Eagles fan, wants the
chaos of the Cowboys trying to catch the Eagles. I
think I think, deep down you want you want that
chaos in your life, like you want a reason for
them to fire Sirianni. No, not took a little bit
too long to say no. It's a little bit too
long to say no, sir. Listen, I don't think they're gonna.
(54:12):
I don't think they need to fire Sirianne. I don't
think that's what it is. I there's some issues with him,
but you know, no, I don't. I think it's interesting.
Speaker 3 (54:27):
It's I always think it's better when the Cowboys are
good for the rivalry, when the Giants are good, you know,
like I like that stuff. When when the when the
teams are good, when the division stakes, it's not fun,
not as fun.
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Yeah, you know, obviously like anybody else, you like the wins,
but it's it's fun when they're you know, they're really
big games and division games. You played in the NFC East,
Yeah you know about that. Yeah, it is fun when
when those games matter, and it's yeah, I mean, look,
the Cowboys have to they just have to make it
(55:03):
up quickly and they can't have no March of for error.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
Yeah yeah, no watching for her. But they're hot and
they could easily go to Detroit and win that game.
You know that game, talk about the over that games.
That's good games, gonna be wild. Now, the Cowboys defense
got better in the middle of it, I'm curious better
(55:28):
against the run. The Packers were able to shut down Gibbs,
which was shocking. And then here's the other thing. When
we talk about the Lions, you know it bit Dan Campbell.
I love Dan, but it bit them against San Francisco
and this whole idea of go go, go, go for
(55:50):
it again, I thought there were times when he should
have took the points. He's thirteen for twenty six on
fourth downs. That's like having thirteen turnovers.
Speaker 2 (56:00):
Yeah, you know when when you build the plane out
of that you know, like I I don't know how
you just stop doing it. That to me feels like
something you figure out in the off season. But their
successes here has not been as good as it as
it needs to be in a fourth down. But look,
(56:21):
they dropped the pass though, right that was that was
now that the one play call in the the trap
was a pretty bad play call. But drop the pass
on fourth down again, it's what they are. Look, I'm
always of the opinion you just you play to who
you are and doesn't work. It doesn't work. But you
know your process. If that's your process, that should be
always be your process. You shouldn't be one of the
teams I think that like just figures out as they go.
(56:44):
But you're right, it is absolutely backfire than the season.
Yeah yeah, I uh, you know there was a point
that time in that game where if you just take
to three because sometimes what is lost in the train
is and you know better anybody because that you are
a good player and you understand it. It's like mixing
(57:07):
an extra point, like when you have a long drive
and come away with nothing. Yeah, there's a sag at
the end of it. I'm glad you said this because
this is something that I in this specific situation. I
argue with my friends a lot about this that that
didn't play it. I'm not trying to be the leadist here,
but you know, like a team will be down thirty
eight nothing and the kick a field goal to go
down thirty eight three, and I'll just be like, guys,
(57:29):
it's hard to score it. It feels good coming out
the field to get the field goal, even if you're
getting your butts kicked. Yeah, it just feels good. You
accomplished your goal to drive on scoring points and sometimes
you're down ten getting the three points, A, you feel
good about scoring. B you feel like you're in the game,
and see your defense feels like they're in the game. Still. Yeah,
(57:52):
of course, if you get a touchdown you go down three,
you a better chance to win the game. I get
I get the numbers, I get the analytics behind it.
I'm not arguing against it. Members are what they are.
But getting three points is a successful drive as long
as you have to feel like like you are doing
a good job. Toue to play hard. It's it's a
very physical, violent sport. If you think you're not doing
(58:13):
it for a purpose in a game, that you're gonna
get your butts kicked even more so. I'm with you.
I'm with you on that. I'm maybe speaking on two
sides of my mouth because I do think that that
there's you know, I think that the full steamate head
approach of Campbell I do like I do too, I
do too.
Speaker 3 (58:30):
I just think with it's with reason within reason, and
also he's got to read the situation better, Like two
years ago, getting San Francisco, there's no reason to go
for it.
Speaker 4 (58:42):
There's just no reason and we was just take the points.
It's add to the lead.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
Yeah, I don't disagree, but I'm just saying that like
that that is is because of you live you live
and die by It's kind of crazy. Yeah, I just
think you need to you could you could choose it better,
but I like I get it.
Speaker 8 (59:04):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
My man Nick on the text board says, can the
Eagles get to eleven? Because I could see the Cowboys
at worse ten six and one, So the Eagles are
eight to four, they're at Well, I ask you at
(59:26):
the Chargers next week.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
Chargers are banged up, but you know, I look the
Cowboys where they're playing, gotta keep winning for your Philly.
I look, but if you're an Eagles, you got the
Chargers next week, you win or lose. I think you win.
I think, but the way they're playing offensively, who knows. Right?
Then you got the Raiders, so they're gonna beat the Raiders.
And the thing about well, the we can beat the
(59:49):
Raiders me and you just too long to beat the Raiders. Yeah,
they're look same with Kansas City, where you feel like
you just sort of flip that switch and get going,
and you figure it out, you're gonna be fine. But
it's late in the season to start doing that like
that doesn't that really isn't a thing in the NFL.
I know people love to think that that you can
flip a switch, and I just don't think that's happening
(01:00:09):
for Philly. I don't think it's having for Kansas City.
If you would have done that, you would have flipped
with yesterday. If you're leagals, you would have filed with yesterday,
if your two things over the Chiefs. Just not happening
this season for those teams. If the Cowboys won the
actually won the division. We're looking at AFC, that's probably
not going to have a winner. That's Kansas City, Buffalo
(01:00:30):
or Baltimore. It's gonna be someone else in in the NFC.
It's probably it's their known teams, just a matter of
who the team is. I think it's the Rams at
the moment, but the AFC man it's any New England, Denver.
I think it's Denver, Indianapolis. Like I I, I don't
know any of those teams. It's not gonna be Buffalo
(01:00:52):
with their run defense siy Kana City might even make
the playoffs, not gonna be Baltimore. The AFC fields wide open. Man,
it does all right.
Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
We continue to go around the NFL where the fella
is hanging out right here.
Speaker 2 (01:01:07):

The way tire buying should be. All right.
Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
Now, here's the ti Iraq play of the day and
we go to last night.
Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
Texas, Texas A and m Arch thirty five yards to
pay dirt.
Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Arch has the snap design run go straight up to
gon to force down a more Larks Lakes flight, saying
good nuck to this one.
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
Marks Manning touchdown Texas the second year in a row.
Manning has a rushing touchdown against the Yaggies. There was
Craig Way from lear Field on the call. Hulkom Horns.
Fun stuff. Man, We'll get back to college football. Come
(01:02:24):
up at the top of the hour and take a
deeper dive into Michigan, Ohio State and all the rivalries
and go through the game by game. Give you who
we like.
Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
From betting standpoint as well. Uh the question for you,
my man, Gunnar Uh. Gunnar Thomas on Twitter says, listen,
I think the Panthers can make the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
No, no, no shot. Well, I guess I take it back.
They're not good enough to make the playoffs, but Tampa
Bay with their injuries right now, who knows, right Well,
that's what I'm saying, man. Like the Panther is just
Baker good, good, pretty fun story so far this year.
I just don't think they're as good as the record,
(01:03:09):
and so that feels like a pretty hard sell for me.
Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Yeah, it was funny. I thought that they would play
San Francisco tougher. I actually thought offensively they would move
the ball a little bit more than they did and
they were just a mess Monday night.
Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
And horrendous interception by Bryce Young there as well. Like,
they just still sort of make some of those mistakes
that I think are really hurtful to championship, you know,
with division winning football.
Speaker 3 (01:03:38):
Back to the AFC for a second. Two things I
want to do. One, I got to just give some
love to Joe Burrow.
Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
You know a lot of people were like, ah, what
are you doing, You're coming back, You're three and eight.
Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Just shut him down, and he's like, shut shut me down.
Why would I shut it down? I want to play football.
And watching him Thursday night, the joy of him while
playing the game, listening to him after talking about how
much he loves to play the game.
Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
I love that, dude, man. I felt that that was
just awesome. Look, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
The reason why you play him is what we saw
is what we saw right, is the entire team gets
uplifted when he plays right. The defense much was much better.
He's the leader, he's he is the leader of their
of their of their team, and everyone plays better when
(01:04:38):
he's back in the lineup. He gives them hope, he
gives he gives them hope, he gives them life. And
that's why you play him. It's that simple. He's a
starting call by National Football he's healthy to play. The
doctors clear to him you have to play him. I
never bought the idea that he has to say, because
(01:05:00):
he might get hurt again. Now, he might get hurt again, absolutely,
but just just him being back gave that team a
new life. Yeah, it did.
Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
And and and I just love the I loved his
attitude and and and towards the game and and and
the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
It was fun.
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
It was fun to see. Man, this is a weird
year though. What is wrong with the ravens Lamar just
does not look right? Man, he just has to look
Since that injury, he hasn't looked right at all. There's
just something. There's something not quite right with Baltimore general
(01:05:45):
this season. And and I I can't, I can't pinpoint it.
It's something to do with their offense. Lamar hasn't look
right since the injury. Now, before the injury, he was
bawling out right. Since then, he just the passing game
(01:06:07):
is way off. Yeah. Well, the passing even fundamentally isn't
a great passing game because they don't have great wide
receivers and it's never been great. But he's cooking a
little bit, would say. And man, it going with tight
ends look sort of like Philly where Colts. I think
they're in this Boat were like, if you don't run
(01:06:28):
the football, quarterbacks is not as good, right, Like A
big part of ending that offense is the threat of
the run, and it's just it's not as good when
you're not running the football. There's not running footba as
well this season.
Speaker 4 (01:06:43):
Man, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
I you know, I thought that they they cooked in
the in the past game and at least early on too.
I mean, you know, I like Zay Flowers and and
Bateman's all right, and then the tight ends work. I mean,
I'm just surprised that it looks that off that it's
that askew Uh, I don't. I wish I had the
(01:07:10):
reason why, but I the whole team hasn't been great
this year. Let's injury.
Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
They were crossed early by injuries, and they didn't reworked
their secondary.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
No, I hear you.
Speaker 4 (01:07:22):
I mean it's it's been a The a f C
is just utterly bizarre, right.
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
The Bills have all kinds of issues, The Ravens have
all kinds of issues, and the Chiefs, we we talked
about them. The three teams that we all thought were
locks as the top three in the a f C
are all in trouble.
Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
Yes, I think right now, if I were to put
money on a team, it would be Denver to an
a FC. I never thought I would say that, but
I think I just don't want the quarterback.
Speaker 7 (01:07:57):
I know.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
But okay, I have a question. Let's say that that
you've got ten better boat Knicks. Is that ever winning
the AFC? What more you need to see? Im from? Next?
I'm with you. But with their defense, run game, offensive line, weapons,
like they're better than New England and they're better than
the Colts. I don't know. But but listen, your defense
(01:08:18):
is really good, and but their their offense is just
not a scary offense.
Speaker 3 (01:08:27):
And so while while their defense is good, it's not
like it's the you know, the two thousand and one
or Ravens, two thousand Ravens. It's good, good, good defense.
I just don't think your offense doesn't scare me. And
in any facet, a lot offenses.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
Don't scare you. Right now, it's a problem with the sport,
I think. And so I mean there's no run game
being oh my god, I'm you're afraid of that run game?
Like I look at that team and and you know, again,
you know, the coach is good and there. They're fashional
and they're they're good. But I don't know. I'd mean,
(01:09:04):
I I can't say that New England can't beat them,
only we can beat them. Look, we we we often
seen the postseason that experience does matter and the sort
of the first time in like Drake May and the
Patriots probably not going to be as clean as you want.
It to be a little bit of struggle. Like look,
Denver played in the PLAYFF game. It wasn't pretty, but
they played in the PLAYFF game last season. You know
(01:09:26):
that it would be New England sort of first opportunity
with this team, it's probably not gonna be as clean
as they wanted to be.
Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
So here's where we stay in playoff wise.
Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
Patriots obviously, uh with a with a big lead, two
and a half game lead over to over Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Uh, the North is wild. I mean it's just wild.
You know, Pittsburgh against Buffalo. Buffalo wins Pittsburgh Baltimore both
six and six and in Cincinnati's only two games behind him. Yeah,
and their defense played really well. I don't know, I mean,
(01:10:09):
I don't trust either of there's all the two teams.
Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
I just don't trust the Bengals defense. I mean that
might be the worst union of the three teams we're
talking about, and that that feels unlikely for them to
do much else because of that, you know, like, like
I agree with you, but the Bengals defense, unless they
just magically change, it's it's a.
Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
I mean they played well Thursday night. Grant me.
Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
We just got done talking about the Raven struggles. But
they played well the Colts, right, I go, okay, you know,
I mean they're good Jacksonville.
Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
I don't. I don't get a little bit, do you.
I don't at all know? And I mean they turned
the ball were four times last week there minus four
turn was in won a game, which feels like impossible
to do obviously, Like that's right, that's near impossible. I
like the Texans because I love their defense. Correct, but
we don't know what we're getting with Stroud coming back
off injury, right or concussion? Right? But I mean they're
(01:11:10):
gonna win this week? Who is the Texans? Yeah? I
think so too. I like them. That's plus four and
a half. No, I think it's smart. That's a smart
play man, Jones. With this fracture that's happening right now,
he's playing through it, which I give him, I mean
credit to him, but that that's not fun to play through. Yeah. Uh.
(01:11:33):
And then out West we talk about it. I mean,
Dever's nine to two and I don't know. I mean,
we're like, what's the state of the Chargers. I mean,
their offensive line is just a freaking mess, dude, right
lost They're also off, so we kind of sort of
forgot about them. I think they played with the Raiders
(01:11:54):
this weekend, so we'll see, we'll see. You know, obviously
this is they should dominate the Raiders, but you know,
they the schedule gets a little bit tougher moving forward.
And again, I think the problem is that we just
don't their offensive line. We've seen the struggles that Herbert
has with the offensive line just getting hit so much.
Now doesn't have the offensive line? Is that a problem?
Speaker 7 (01:12:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
Yeah, I mean it's this conference is wild, absolutely wild,
and the only thing you know is that New England
is going to be.
Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
In and probably and probably women's division. Colts probably should
win the division, and then after that Devers should win
the division. But after that the wild cards are up
and play, and you know, the nf AFC North is
up for play and then you know it's it's crazy
year in the NFL and unlike we've seen a long
(01:12:43):
time where it does feel really really wide open and
you know, the wicked Witch of the West. The Chiefs
like if they're out of it, man, it looks it's
it feels like the future out of it. This is
Buffalo's time, right, They're waiting for this moment. The problem
is that they can't stop the run. They can't stop
the run, and they have no receivers. You can't win
(01:13:04):
this league if can't stop the run of the postseason
and you can't stop the run and you got no
and you have just no defense. Correct, I mean no
no receivers. I mean I mean every week has to
be a hero game for Josh. Correct.
Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
All right, we need quick t o come right back here.
It's on the docket. We come up, we look at
the NFC playoff picture, then we go back to college
and uh we take a long look, deep dive into
all the games and then we give you our pick.
So lots to get to coming straight up on the
Fellas Jeff Schwartz, Anthony Garganta right here on.
Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Fellas and Yet from the Fox Sports radio studios. All right, buddy,
h NFC player playoff picture. We talked a lot about
the East. Let's talk about the Bears, man, because you know,
we get lost in the the negative, which is the
(01:14:09):
defending champion Eagles.
Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
The positive is the Bears.
Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
You know, no one would have thought that with the Packers, Lions,
even Minnesota, that they would be, you know, sitting atop
that division. Ben Johnson has done a great job. By
the way, he took his shirt off at the news
conference yesterday, so free hot.
Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
Dogs conference or at the in the locker room, in
the locker room with the speech.
Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
Yeah, yeah, so we got he got the free hot
dogs for the House of Wieners in Chicago.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
The shirt off they get, they get free hot dogs.
So yeah, he made They made a deal with him.
Speaker 3 (01:14:48):
They said, you take your shirt off during the press
conference or during the speech, then everybody gets the free dogs.
Speaker 4 (01:14:57):
So they happened. It happened earlier in the year.
Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
What did they do. They had to beat somebody or win,
I forget what it was, but everybody got free dogs.
And they made another smart like they made another wage
or that if he did that after a win, then
everybody would get free dogs, so they get everybody got
free dogs. Okay, fair, Yeah, yeah, it's because the good
(01:15:20):
dogs in Chicago.
Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
Uh, let's let's look at that, because I don't know,
I felt like I think everybody else diated that they
were a bit phony in what they were, right, like,
you know, catib is still a work in progress.
Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
At least their record was a bit phony and you
know good but you know, a bit fortunate. Yeah, okay,
so absolutely true. Right, they had one they had one,
uh you know, five games this year where they were
trailing in the in the under two minutes left, like
like legitimately we can talk about you know that that
(01:15:57):
first time that toppened since nineteen seventy, right, like those
that's all fair, But I think it's important to note
here when you have a new coach, new coordinators, whatever,
it takes eight to twelve weeks to really see and
and really know and sort of have the vision come
(01:16:20):
to fruition, right, it always does.
Speaker 4 (01:16:22):
Your Eagles last year it.
Speaker 2 (01:16:24):
Took them what eight ten weeks on defense with fanso
to figure it out that it's always what it does,
it always. It takes time. Everyone thinks just happens overnight,
doesn't and we're seeing now the vision of Ben Johnson.
It is paying off as you head into this home stretch.
Clearly the team buys into what Ben Johnson is selling.
(01:16:47):
Clearly he can coach. Clearly, offense is starting to really
hit their stride. Part of that, it's Caleb Williams get
been playing much better, which is hugely important. And the
team believes in themselves. The physicality is starting to show,
right they added all those trench players this offseason. It's
really starting to show. And you gotta be really excited
(01:17:10):
about where they last night. Look, we are we talked
a little about Eagles. Okay, they are what they are,
But how validating was last night's win for the Bears?
Just like you beat the Super Bowl champions in their
place on Black Friday by winning in the trenches, you know, like,
and then I think you I think also with the
Lions not playing as well offensively, that just showed it.
(01:17:33):
They also I think as a tip of the cap
to Ben Johnson, right because definitely, and so I really
like what the Bears are doing right now. Again, last
night was a huge validating win for them. And if
you're a Bears fan, man, you have to feel so
excited where this team is at right now.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Yeah, you know he's got Camble playing at at a
really good level, right not he's not turned the ball
over and you know, againting the run game worked and
to your point, man, I guess I was shocked most
that there was after starting all three starting linebackers and
they did well against the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
Yeah, you know, it was survived.
Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
The Eagles have to have to figure this out in
the meeting room today or whenever they meet again Monday, Like,
how do we get how can we not run the
ball against the backup Bears linebackers? And you know, it's
funny dad success.
Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
Like they had success early, say Qui, they completely got
away from it the game script. You know what the
problem was they had They had a little possession because
the defense was on the field. You know, yeah, I
mean I mean that that kind of hurt their I
think their play call so time of possession, I mean
(01:18:55):
the Bears. Man, the Bears held the ball for thirty
nine minutes in eighteen seconds.
Speaker 2 (01:19:02):
So happened to you win the line of scrimmage buddy?
And they want they won the last scrimmage in a
big way the Bears. That was a that's a again,
that's a performance for Ben Johnson. That sort of feels
like everything we've worked on came in fushing last night.
And the buy in in Chicago down is gonna be
through the freaking roof. Man, after that game yesterday. Yeah, yeah,
(01:19:26):
big time. It should be by the way, it should
be absolutely.
Speaker 4 (01:19:28):
Yeah, it should be. It should be pumped up, man.
I mean, yeah, it's good. You got you got it.
Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
You got a quarterback, quarterback showing promise, right, you know,
the coach is a winner, and you know it's that's
a big deal. It really is. And I didn't expect
I thought they'd be better, but I didn't expect them
to be It would be Bears ackers Lions.
Speaker 4 (01:19:50):
That's crazy. I don't think we spent that either.
Speaker 3 (01:19:53):
No, all right, uh Michigan Ohio State Wow, coming up next.
Speaker 1 (01:20:00):

love them all right, Brianna and Mighty Mark. They do
such a great job behind the scenes. We love them immensely.
All right, buddy, here we go. Let's get to it.
It's rivalry weekend, and we saw some good stuff yesterday.
Obviously we talked a lot about Texas and Texas A
and M, and uh had I would taking Nebraska to
(01:21:06):
the wood shed yesterday rough one. Yeah, Yeah, Arizona takes
out Arizona State last night. Georgia eeks by Georgia Tech. Yeah,
Indiana a big route yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:21:23):
Yeah, I had I laid it with Indiana there, so
I was pretty pleased with that result. Yeah, I thought
Georgia would would score more. But look, it's a rivalry,
and uh, you know, they maybe they thought the A
and M was gonna lose. They're ready for that for
you know, to play. That's the championship game. But uh,
you know that was a good one in Iowa. I mean, yeah,
that that was that was a rough one for for
the courn Huskers. There obviously hard to do. You know,
(01:21:45):
when your when your quarterbacks out, certainly that is that
is life sometimes. Yeah, but uh, you look, the rivalry
weekend is intense because throw the record book out when
the rivalry right, like, throw the record book out. I
mean it certainly feels that way a lot of times
when you know a lot of these a lot of
these games, like it comes down to a couple of plays,
but you know, you play a rival closer, right for
(01:22:07):
whatever reason, there's that intensity and there's that focus that
you might not have playing a random team on a
Tuesday or Friday or a Sunday Saturday in the middle
of the week and the middle of the season. And so, dude,
this is an awesome weekend. Obviously the final regular season
weekend of college football. But we saw yesterday and upset
with Texas over at Texas a m this is what
(01:22:29):
this weekend can be.
Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
Yeah, baby, all right, let's go game by game, beginning
with the greatest rivalry out there, Ohio State and Michigan
hiow stage a nine and an point favorite. We know
the only way to win is what happened last year,
right where Michigan is able to control the line of
scrimmage and play really good defense.
Speaker 4 (01:22:56):
Can that happen again?
Speaker 2 (01:22:59):
Can it happened again? I mean sure, will it happen again?
Speaker 5 (01:23:03):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
Ohio State I think does have some questions for me
along their offensive line in this and you know, just
generally speaking, I don't know if it's a concern in
this game for me, but Michigan just is not going
to score very much of this game. It didn't matter
last year. They didn't score a lot in one last year.
But that's my biggest concern is just Bryce Underwood, who
I think is going to be really really good. It's
(01:23:27):
just young and he sort of has one pitch right,
it's fastball, fastball, fastball, fastball. And and their offensive line
is fine but not great and has its defense is
really really good. I believe Tates is going to be
backed and Jeremiah Smith, which is huge. I think I
thought last weekend and they beat Rutgers handily, but the
offensive line was tasked up doing more, wasn't it just
(01:23:49):
not as good when the offensive line I think has
to be the offensive of this team. They want to
pass the football, but Ohio State this year has been
a little bit more prone to just conservative play clock,
like use the entire you know, the entire arsenal run
pass and whatnot. And so look, I think it's gonna
(01:24:10):
be a slower game, a prodding game, but I think
in the end, Ohio State comes up victorious and they
probably cover, even though like Michigan's a team total under Yeah, yeah,
you like you like Michigan to cover no alcoholt okay,
right right, I would take ohiose to cover. It's not
my favorite of the game. But you think I like
this game under. I can see this game being you know,
(01:24:32):
twenty three ten, right, It's it's a cover for Ohio State.
It might be a late touchdown. That's why I'm not
putting my money in Ohio State in this game, I think.
But I do think they are going to win, Yes, yeah,
I do too. I I just think there's this is
just too too heavy of a lift from Michigan. And look,
you know, I mean they caught him last year. I
(01:24:54):
mean that was the ultimate body blow last year.
Speaker 3 (01:24:57):
Remember and think about who was calling the plays last
year for Ohio State and we and remember how we
all said.
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
What are they nuts?
Speaker 4 (01:25:09):
Why are you trying? Why aren't you throwing the football?
Remember that?
Speaker 2 (01:25:12):
Yeah, it felt like they tried to out Michigan and
Michigan last year, right, they tried. They tried their best
to like to it said, just running their game. They
tried to run a game, A play a game where
it was all we're gonna out physical, but just win
the game. Just win the game. And I do think look,
winning the championship last year probably lifted a heavy weight
off the shoulders of everyone at Michigan in Ohios to
(01:25:34):
even though you know they want to win this game
and not to but they want a champion. But you
should go in this game feeling very confident in your
ability to uh to win different ways so they've done
this season. You should feel very confident your ability to
just handle a Michigan offense that I think is limited
with your defense and then throw the ball to Tape,
throw the ball to to Smith like usually those excellent
(01:25:54):
guys you have because they're they're difference makers, and and
you should you should prepare and play that way. By
the way, just as a quick a side, Yeah, the
Chip Kelly situation. Wow, Yeah, I don't, so he had
to go. Obviously, I don't know if I buy all
(01:26:15):
the stories about him just calling plays that weren't in
the in the play sheet for the week.
Speaker 8 (01:26:18):
That feel means make up what you don't make that up,
I know, But I've been around a lot of of
its coordinators.
Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
Buddy, that guy would be very very odd if he
did that. Now. I understand if he missed emotion or
something like that, that that track that's seen that happen before,
But to just like to have you know, three jet
all go special, I know on your on your call
sheet from day one install and then just not having
(01:26:50):
the game but then calling a game is not common.
So if he was doing that, I know, it's.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
I wonder if there's Scott Forbid something wrong with him.
I'm like hoping that that's not the case, because that's
what it sounds like. Here's a question, though, is that
what if he said during a time during a break
like your your defense on the said hey, GENO, remember
you know three jed all goes special from training camp,
I want to run that play, which would still not
(01:27:17):
be the right thing to do on game day, but
that's certainly possible that he said that to him. Nonetheless,
obviously it doesn't have a job anymore. He's you know,
remember last year against against Michigan, they just sort of
forced the run.
Speaker 2 (01:27:30):
It didn't work. I didn't tell you they're going to
run their offense. I think they're going to handle their
business today. Yeah, I do. I I believe that.
Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
You know who he's done a great job and deserves
some credit is Matt Patricia.
Speaker 4 (01:27:43):
That defense has played really well.
Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
Man, I didn't expect it. You know, one thing that
he does I think really really well is he uses
the personnality has in the in their best capacity. They
have outstanding personnel, and he makes sure that they're in
the right position. They they that they're doing what they're
best at. The Michigan is not gonna throw the ball
(01:28:05):
in this game. They're just they're just not built to
play Ohio State like this. And so I do think
that they handle business today. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm
with you, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:28:18):
So that is a big rivalry game. Then you got
Texas Tech West Virginia.
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
They're gonna they're gonna smoke West Virginia. I don't worried
about that game. Yeah, I would agree Miami Pitt where
you What are you liking this one? I like Miami.
They've been they've been playing much better football lately. I
think we ignore that because of a couple of bad
losses they had. But they you know, they they're they're
they're playing good ball right now. And I pitch just
(01:28:48):
I know the one last week they beat GT But Pitts,
I worry about their defense. Miami's when Miami's on, man,
they're really good. They're gonna be on this game. They're
gonna try to prove a point to be a playoff team.
I like Miami in this game.
Speaker 3 (01:29:00):
Him to cover all right, Uh, Louisville in Kentucky, our
buddy south Side Chuck will be there rooting all his
cats in thirty degree weather come noontime.
Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
I think the question for this game for me is
like where's Louisville, where's Jeff Braun? At is Jeff Brown
taking another job? Like? What's that that that's a storyline
for today? Is like there's a lot of teams playing
that their coach might be leaving. And I've seen that
with Oregon with when Mario was was the coach and
the focus just wasn't quite there. I've seen that you
know as an opponent of when Oregon stay with Jonathan
(01:29:37):
Smith was leaving to Michigan State and like what happened
to their team in the Civil War a few years back.
So we know where's Louisville gonna be. If you know,
Jeff Brown's been talking to other teams for a couple
of weeks now. Yeah, uh Clemson South Carolina. Man, what
a what a bad year it's been for Davo. Yeah. Uh,
South Carolina just thinks I would take clubs in here,
(01:29:59):
but it's gonna be like fourteen to ten. I know, man,
that was at a rough one. Yeah. Uh where else
we got that? We got?
Speaker 3 (01:30:09):
We got my game used to Baylor. Wow, we're gonna
get to your game with that actause I got you
comment on that baby.
Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
Uh Houston Baylor is interesting? Where you line up on
that one too and a half? Probably Houston in that game.
I know Bailor's keeping Dave Randa. I think some of
these schools are very smart to keep their coaches. It
might not work out if Mike Norvell stays, which he
is at Florida State. It might not work out with
with Dave Randa, But like, what do you get who
(01:30:37):
are you gonna hire right now, there's.
Speaker 1 (01:30:38):
No one to hire.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
Everyone's staying like I'd like just keeping it at his
Maybe we invest more, nil, we invest more to different coaches,
like I'm I'm for keeping those guys, man, I mean
that's the right decision. All right, let's go to three
thirty Eastern twelve thirty Pacific. Yeah, slew a great game.
We'll start with your squad or again six and a
(01:31:01):
half against Washington.
Speaker 4 (01:31:04):
We're you at buddy, you like it?
Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
So this game is really interesting to me. I think
we're going to get some of our offensive lignment back,
which we're not going to have our wide receivers back
for this game. Okay, this is such a I'm mystified
by Washington's defense. I want to talk this through with you. Okay, Yeah,
so their defense is forty fifth in the country in
points per drive. Good, right, they haven't allowed more than
(01:31:29):
twenty five points all season. Now, to be fair, they
really have not played great offenses. They played Ohio State
at home and Julian Sayan's first road start right right,
and then they play Illinois, whose offensive line is really stinky.
They played Rutgers and Michigan, who can't throw the ball
like those are their four best offense they played all season. Okay,
(01:31:50):
some like over twenty. They still have not allowed over
over twenty four points all season, twenty five points, twenty
five points. Okay, so they're forty fifth in points per drive.
But they've only forced thirty seven punts all season. Wow,
they've only forced six punces total against those four best
(01:32:11):
offenses that I told you six punts total. They're seventieth
on third down, so like not exceptional on third down,
like compared to anyone else, Like if you have that many,
if you have only forced thirty, they'rekno going on third down.
They're really bad on third and long, like one hundred
(01:32:31):
and twentieth in country, and third and long their pressure
rate is near the hundred. It's like they don't pressure
the quarterback. They don't have any havocrate like havoc rate
like tackle for loss pass deflections, they're like one hundred
and twentieth the country and havoc rate. I don't understand
their defense. It makes no sense to me that their
defense is forty fifth in Yeah, and people say, well,
it's missed field goals, it's it's field goal temps. It's turnovers.
(01:32:54):
They've only forced fourteen turnovers in eleven games, so they're
not forcing ton of turnovers. I have no idea what
to make of this defense. They don't have any Like
they have good corners, but everyone throws in their safeties
because their safeties are not very good. So I don't
I don't know what to make of the defense. If
Oregon just plays their game, Oregon's gonna win and they're
gonna be fine. Washington offense is very dangerous. But the
(01:33:14):
problem is they played three defenses this year they're any
good Ohio State, Michigan and JUMI in Wisconsin. Those are
the three defenses they play that are good. They scored six, seven,
and ten in those three games, and Ogas defense is
really good. So I tend to think Oregan will handle business.
But look, rivalry game. It's a rivaly game. Either were
(01:33:37):
gonna be fine, but you never know the Washington defense.
Think about that. They allowed six total punts against the
four best offenses they played all season and didn't allow
more than twenty five points. Now, they lost one of
those games, twenty four to six and twenty seven to seven.
Like they weren't competitive in those games, but They're still
pretty wild, right, Like that's something you would need it is,
(01:34:00):
it would not make sense, it would not make sense,
like like like, for example, Oregon, it's like tenth in
the country in points per drive. On defense, they forced
sixty punts. Ohio States forced fifty nine punts. Like that's
what good defense is that Typically those numbers show like
they forced a ton of punts. Not the case here.
Kind of crazy. I like Oregon in a game, not
(01:34:21):
because of you. I hope you win, but if you're
going to just suss it out, I do too. I
think Washington is a paper tiger. I'm just not impressed
with them over. Nothing would give me more joy than
beating Washington. For those who are unaware, Oregon Washington is
(01:34:41):
just as bitter a rivalry as the as Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn, Alabama.
The thing with this rivalry is that forever Washington won
every game till nineteen ninety four, We've won I think
twenty of the last twenty seven games against Washington. But
for a wall time, this rivalry was very much one
(01:35:03):
team good, one team bats. Like when I was in college,
we were good, they were really bad. We won twelve
in a row during that time period, and then Washington
with with with Chris Peterson became really good and we
were bad. We're four and eight and twenty sixteen. The
last couple of years is the first time this rivalry
has ever seen both teams ranked in the top fifteen. So, like,
that's why I think it's not given the attention that
(01:35:24):
other rivalries have been because both teams just haven't been
good the same time. And you know, we had those
games with with with the Boor and Dan Lanning, there
were three point games, right like they like, Dan Lanning
lost three straight times by three points. It mattered a lot,
and this matters a lot to him. So there's a
little extra effort and attention given this game, of course,
and then you get to rest, you win, and you
(01:35:45):
get to rest and you're ready for the for the postseason. Yeah,
and you know, it was funny when you when you
look at them, the bitterness. I had no idea orgon Washington, Yeah,
I had no idea.
Speaker 4 (01:36:02):
Yeah, Yeah, we got to be honest with you.
Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
I was.
Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
I was like, wow, I learned from Lincoln. So my
buddy Lincoln Kennedy, it was the original fella.
Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
Obviously, before you like they were good, like when he
was there and Washington too much good and Oregon wasn't
and and it was it's interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:36:22):
And he used to say, oh, dcs like just like you.
Speaker 3 (01:36:26):
With the Huskies. It's crazy, it's it's interesting. You know
just what you guys are. It's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (01:36:32):
It's very bitter. It's started tucked away the pace of Northwest.
We have obviously the rivalry with with Oregon State, and
they had theirs with Washington State. But man, there is
there is a deep hatred between these schools. So a
lot of fun, tough places to play Washington. Washington one
of tho teams that plays better at home than on
the road. But again he gets better defense. They struggled
(01:36:53):
this season and look as you know Oregon last week, Uh,
I don't mean USC what there were eight pass interference calls.
It's not gonna happen today. I don't know. Like the
offense that USC ran. Just throw the ball up to
those two wide receivers and pray and pray for success.
It's not what Washington's gonna do. So I feel pretty
good about where our defense is at right now. USC
(01:37:13):
averages five hundred yards. They are two yards rushing a game,
and we held them to fifty yards rushing last week
and below that, well below their averages and scoring. So
I'm I'm not concerned about our defense at all in
this game. All right, let's how about Oklahoma. This is
a good one in Oklahoma, LSU. Yeah, it's just what
the desnating a rivalry game in SEC?
Speaker 6 (01:37:35):
Now?
Speaker 2 (01:37:35):
Is it like one of those designators right now? Right?
But it's actually an interesting I think it's an interesting game.
I think LSU, it's going to keep this game close. Well,
I'll tell you what the fun part about this game is,
this is a playing game for Oklahoma. Right. You win
this game, you're probably a playoff team. You lose, you're
out LS use very talented elis. You can play spoiler
in this instance. There's also, of course, the looming like
(01:37:56):
hey you hire Lane Kiffin in the middle of the
game type of thing that we could and that doesn't
really matter to this game. It just adds the intrigue
of sort of players either trying to play to impress
a new coach or playing to put your name in
the portal. Like there's many reasons why guys would be
playing hard today. If you're LSU. Yeah, yeah, uh, how
(01:38:17):
about this one's a great what vander Belton, Tennessee love it,
love it, love it. I'll tell you what the difference
in Vandy is that they many their offensive line this
year has different than other years like that gives them
a chance each and every week to be competitive. Tennessee
can't stop a nosebleed defensively this season. They lost a
(01:38:38):
lot of people in the NFL's haven't been as good.
Vanny's gonna try to slow this game down, gonna trying
to muck it up. I leaned Vandy here. I could
do without Diego Pavia's mom being in every single shot
during the middle of the game. But other than that,
I do lean towards Vandy here. You know it's nuts.
Speaker 3 (01:38:57):
Florida Florida State is He's four thirty ESPN two five
and six versus three and eighty. Wow, what's your read
on on who they hire you think of? If not
Lane Kiffin?
Speaker 1 (01:39:13):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
Is it Summer all the two lane coach? He's my
thing about washing about assuming about about that hire. So
like if you just hired Billy Napier as a as
A as a G five coach, it did not work out.
Are you going back to hiring another G five coach
in some row? That's why I think Jed That's what
I think is Jed Fish's job from Washington. Have who
(01:39:34):
went to Florida wants that job? I just don't see.
I mean I would go Jed Fisher. I honestly, yeah, yeah,
you could go some roll. But again, are you gonna
are you going back the.
Speaker 4 (01:39:46):
Thing you're gonna go? Try again and pray I plucked
a winner.
Speaker 2 (01:39:51):
Jed Fish as he rebuilt Arizona. He's done well Washington,
and you bring you bring you bring Demond Williams with you.
So I mean it's jet Fish. But again that that
puts a wrinkle in the organ game, Like you know, Jedfish,
how focus is Jetfish for the organ game? If he's
been interviewing with Ford, which he has everybody interviews with
(01:40:12):
everyone though, like that's not that's not really anything. That's
that's but you know, but think about like it's not
a Jetfish thing. It's a general thing like like imagine
you're preparing to play a game, but you sort of
have to prepare to build a new staff for another school,
and you have to sort of think about the portal
for the other school, and which players are going to
bring with you from your current school to the new school,
(01:40:34):
and how you're going to immediately hit the ground running
and start and start recruiting tomorrow as a new Florida
head coach. Like there's a lot of things that I
don't think that Jet is or any coach. I'm just
using him example, is not preparing for the current game
they have. But you can see where the distractions start
to come in, right, like very easily start thinking about
(01:40:55):
about the new job. So that is always not I
think't you know, but I just think I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:41:06):
I look at it and in summer all I like,
I just don't. I don't try.
Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
Like I think Fish is a safe for bet Yes,
lower floor, right or or higher floor or whatever you
want to fire the floor, but maybe not Like ceiling
is high, I don't. I don't think. I don't know.
The ceiling to me is the same, right, Like they're
both can be really good. But I feel like Jedfish
is a is a higher floor. Like he's also proven
(01:41:38):
to rebuild Arizona, and he's done a good job of
washing so far. That's what I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:41:42):
Like I have that to go with.
Speaker 3 (01:41:43):
So all right, we're gonna take quick t We'll come
right back and uh it's picks time, so we're gonna
go through it all. Let's do it for the NFL
everything else still some college rivalries to go through, Lots
to do, Fellas right here on Fox.

Speaker 3 (01:42:19):
So I'm gonna I'm gonna hate with some games, talk
about it what we like the lands of the college.
We got a couple of really interesting games, and uh,
well Alabama and all Bird in the Iron Bowl.
Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
You know, I think all birds live in this buddy.
So the points where I will tell you that right then,
extry part of this game is is like's on the sidelines,
Like what is killing is Kiln the border Penn State smoke? Right?
You know who's all Burn going to hire? I'm sure
(01:42:54):
that they'll announced that hire fairly soon today. Yeah, I
don't The case for Alburn seems to be that it's
hard to play, you know at this you know Jordan here,
and Alabama has struggled there in the past. Certainly true,
but there's no, like really on the field reason why
Alabama should struggle in this game. They're much better than Alburn.
(01:43:17):
They have antac coaching staff, they're better quarterback. You know,
the last major game we saw of Alabama they lost
to Oklahoma. So maybe there's that lingering in the back
of our minds. But Obama's playing for a playoff berth today, right,
They're they're fighting for that opportunity. I I, I don't know.
I'm not betting Auburn here. I think that's too easy
(01:43:38):
to bet Alburn. But everyone talks about this like I
gotta tell you, man, if I'm listing like top places
to play, I'm not sure Alburn would be that way.
But everyone talks about this game like it's the hardest game. Yeah,
play everything, you get that sense to Yeah, I saved
talking about yeah, yeah, I know. So I'm it's surprising
(01:44:01):
me the way people talk about this. Yeah, it's pretty good. Listen.
I mean a line four and a half, it's it's
it's Auburn line all day. It's been such a public
side dude, like everyone's been at Auburn today, everyone's better.
I mean, if it's a public dog, the public dog
rarely bites like right now, like Washington's public dog. Alburt's
(01:44:21):
a public dog. I I don't. I just don't like
to be on those sides.
Speaker 8 (01:44:26):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:44:27):
No, I agree.
Speaker 3 (01:44:28):
I'm with youeling that uh NC State North Carolina. I'm
gonna tell you, Carolina covers this game.
Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
They dude's defense is not very good. That Caroline has
been playing much much better. They much better. Belichick's got
to play good. He does, he's Listen, everybody judged him
right off the bat, which.
Speaker 3 (01:44:48):
Was so unfair. Forget the whole Jordan Hudson thing. They
judge Belichick right off the bat, which was ridiculous. Who's
going to turn around a college program at Apple Hill overnight?
No one, So everybody ridiculed him. Listen, I get the
(01:45:09):
girl who was a farce and all that stuff, But
he could still coach. I don't care what anybody says.
Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
I agree.
Speaker 4 (01:45:18):
Would you hire if you were the Giants.
Speaker 2 (01:45:22):
The Giants? I don't. I don't know who i'd hire
for the Giants.
Speaker 4 (01:45:30):
It's other My first choice would be Spags.
Speaker 2 (01:45:32):
But other than him, who is who is who is
Spags bringing with him as the OC. That's the biggest question. Yeah,
I don't want to say, oh, oh, you know, well
I don't. I mean I have an idea. I mean,
of his guys that he would look to. He I
mean he knows like who we would bring, of course
he does. He can't interview without knowing those different I
(01:45:54):
mean we talked. I mean he has his guys, of
course you do. Every coach has a list of coaches,
right they would want to hire, and they've bet those guys. Yeah,
but I don't want to you know, do you think
there's any Do you think there was any smoke to
like Lane Kiffen being the Giants coach with Perry, with
Jackson Dart. I never thought that was a thing. I
think people just do that out there. No, that's no, No,
(01:46:17):
I don't think so. That reminded me of the whole
Chip Kelly Marcus Mariota thing when he took over the
Eagles job and had Mariota at Oregon. Yeah, uh, all right,
let's go to the NFL. You're right, anybody else you like? Yeah? Yeah,
I think USC smokes Ucla today tonight the fair by
(01:46:38):
twenty one. I think the US number just gives it
to Ucla tonight, Woods shed peace. Yeah, I think it's
I think it's like a forty nine, like fourteen game. Yeah,
Irish put up them all the seventy. You just US
isn't good right, Their quarterbacks beat up us. He wants
(01:47:00):
to avenge a loss. Last week they played better at home.
All they heard all week was how physical they got
out physical by Oregon, which is absolutely true, and I
think I want to avenge that tonight they're at home too.
They play better at home. You said they're hiring a
head coach in the middle of the game. Who knows?
Speaker 4 (01:47:15):
Did the Irish put up an on a seventy spot?
Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
Uh? Stanford at Stanford Stanford Hire to vi the Pritchard,
the rare NFL higher in the middle of the season,
is gonna leave the Commanders after this game this weekend
and go be the coach of his alma mater there,
probably because style points matter this time of year. I think,
I mean, if they can do it, yeah, they're gonna try. Yeah,
(01:47:38):
all right, to the NFL. Let's go to Bear someday.
All the good games have been played, but let's go.
Uh it's kind of ugly, but Niners Browns Chandore starting,
you know, I the standards thing. Man still like what.
Speaker 1 (01:48:01):
What what?
Speaker 2 (01:48:02):
What? What is it about him that makes people have
these wild tammy Kendrick Perkins saying he's the most important
black man since Prince Obama? Like what what? Why are
we doing this? Like? What is what is it about
Sanders where people have such polarizing takes on him? He's
(01:48:23):
a fifth round pick, man, Like, I don't I don't understand.
I just don't get it. I don't get what everyone
has to have. He played fine last week. He threw
a lot of balls that were at or are at
or right beyond the line of scrimmage. He threw really
one really nice pass to Bond moving out on the
cover zero, and otherwise he was just like okay, look
(01:48:45):
like a fifth round pick playing. But the mental gymnastics
that were like using for Sanders that we don't use
for other fifth round quarterbacks. Man, I don't get it.
I think he should be starting. I'm excited to watch
him play a beat up Niners defense. This game is
supposed to have snow and a way to be kind
of gross, the total keeps dropping.
Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
I'll be honest with you, I don't know what sh
Door is going to do for you on Sunday because
he's not a runner and they're talking about wing gus
thirty five mile an hour win, sustained wins at twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:49:15):
He's not throwing anything.
Speaker 2 (01:49:18):
No, And I don't think he's a quarterback there next year,
Like I don't. It's just such a weird, like I
don't get to ship durch stuff out there. I'll be
honest with that. I think it's because obviously there are
people that are rooting against him very loudly, but I
actually don't think that's that true.
Speaker 4 (01:49:31):
Yeah, I think a lot of it is polarizing.
Speaker 3 (01:49:33):
I mean, you know, he does have, uh, the braggadocious
kind of nature and the me me me thing you know.
Speaker 2 (01:49:46):
He does.
Speaker 3 (01:49:49):
That is that's true. But I didn't think that that's
a racial component. So I don't, you know, I people
will root against them. I don't think it's racial.
Speaker 2 (01:49:57):
I think it's because people normally do not like the
self absorbed athlete. That's that's fair, and that's that's partly true.
And look, he's got to back it up, right, He
talked about yo, imagine me with more practice, Imagine with
more reps. Okay, I mean yeah, look, man, you got
(01:50:19):
to be confident play to play any sports. I'm fine
with the general idea of being confident. You have to
back it up. Like That's what I didn't like about
Jaji McCarthy talking about the alter ego. Buddy, you got
to back it up, dude, and he hasn't done it,
so standards has an opportunity the rest of the tife that.
That's the same thing with the nonsense of you know nine,
refer yourself in the third person.
Speaker 3 (01:50:40):
Please, that's strong are because again football team quarterback. I
mean listen, you know we talk about I talk about
hurts sometimes and right now I think he could use
a break. Not gonna lose his job, but loses it,
but get a break to just to watch that dude
(01:51:03):
doesn't say boo. Everybody's after him. The receiver is constantly complaining,
and he never says anything except gives you the right thing.
Speaker 4 (01:51:15):
He says the right things every time. Like I love
him as a dude.
Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
I love him like he's he's ultimate team never talks
about himself.
Speaker 3 (01:51:24):
I mean, he's the team guy to the end degree.
I think that's when we talk about football and quarterbacks.
You got to have to lead that way. It's the
leadership thing, is real.
Speaker 2 (01:51:35):
Absolutely, So that being said, I think the Browns covered
this game the four and a half, do you? Yeah,
it's I just nine ers short week. Okay, Well you
just think Niners are just much better. Yeah, and you
know they're more equipped just to move the ball and
(01:51:57):
in bad weather like that. Absolutely, I totally agree. Yeah, Uh,
all right, we have to take quick tear. We'll come
right back, go through the entire NFL sleep, and then
we'll kick it off. Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:52:11):
Where the fellas hanging out right here with you guys
Fox Sports Radio. All right, welcome back Fellas and Jeff
let's go quick Jags in Tennessee. I don't know, dude,
(01:52:35):
I got I'm lost that game I've been on. I
think that's what I would do, but I would stay away.
Speaker 4 (01:52:42):
He looks they look better offense looks better last couple
of weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:52:46):
Yeah, without Brian Yellen. Yeah, they've been they've they've been feisty,
but I mean you can't bet on them, I don't think.
But also Jacksonville laying sex on the road is ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (01:52:53):
I know, I know, uh interesting Indianapolis Texans and culture
three half I like.
Speaker 2 (01:53:01):
I like Houston out right. So do I look at
that defense? Strouds back and the colt have a B
plus what's his face? Dar is playing with a fractured leg?
I know, dude, I now I could no no, I
I and they were gonna try to They're gonna try
to run Taylor. God bless him.
Speaker 4 (01:53:20):
I just don't think that against that from also.
Speaker 2 (01:53:22):
Too, like same as sort of the Eagles, Like when
when Taylor is not successful, the offense sort of shuts down,
and that's what teams are doing. They say, Taylor, you're
not running football, We're done with it.
Speaker 1 (01:53:34):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:53:35):
Uh Miami, New Orleans, Miami's five and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:53:42):
Uh, well, I'm not way this. IM gonna watch this game.
He's another unwatchable one Atlanta two and a half at
the Jets. Yeah, who's watching this game? Who's the and
irod Taylor Jets? Fine sets four and seven v. Two
(01:54:06):
and nine. I would just to cover this game if
you had to ask them for a wager. Right, that's
just gross. Rams and Panthers.
Speaker 3 (01:54:18):
Rams Everybody's Super Bowl favorite. Now cooking everybody laying ten.
Speaker 2 (01:54:27):
I think at so many points, probably this is a
pretty tough spot for the Panthers off a short week
across the country, like they have to like, they have
to come. They probably landed Tuesday like seven am. Like
it's it's a tough spot to be in. But it's
a lot, a lot of points, a lot of points. Yeah,
I just think too many, too many. Like listen, the
(01:54:49):
Rams are great, and I don't think they lose the game,
but you know they're due for after what they've done
over last month, They're due for a little bit of
a letdown spot, agreed, right. They buried the Buccaneers on
Sunday Night Football thirty four to seven.
Speaker 3 (01:55:06):
They beat Seattle on that big matchup, they crushed the Niners.
Speaker 2 (01:55:12):
I mean they do for a little bit of a letdown.
I just think I like Carolina, I'll take the points. Uh,
Cardinals in Tampa, I mean, I mean, can you figure
it out Tampa?
Speaker 6 (01:55:27):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:55:28):
There, they're defensively, it's pretty tough right now for them.
Baker Mayfield's beat up. You gonna play probably right, I
think he's playing playing yeah, yeah, no, Baker's playing. Yeah.
I would stay away from this game. In Arizona right now, man,
they just you know, they just they the previous two
games that turn over seven times, they had no turnovers.
(01:55:50):
Last week, they're plus four turnovers at home and didn't cover,
didn't win and cover. It's not good. I don't again,
there's no way he survives us. Right, he's got They're
gonna find a new coach. Yeah, they're a Yes, they're
a quarterback too in the future. I do like Brisetto.
He's he's fine, he's a good backup. There's a good
(01:56:10):
spot for to be in.
Speaker 4 (01:56:12):
Vikings and Seattle.
Speaker 3 (01:56:14):
The Sam Donald revenge game, I mean he walks eleven
and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:56:20):
No, McCarthy, they're gonna smoke. They're gonna smoke the Vikings.
Brosmer looks, Brosmer. They're gonna smoke the Vikings. Uh Raiders
and Chargers. Raiders.
Speaker 4 (01:56:35):
Chargers are laying a huge number.
Speaker 2 (01:56:38):
I lean toward probably the Raiders covering this game. But
I don't. I mean, I don't feel great. It can't
be any worse offensively, but the charges are off of
buy this is the healthyster gonna feel for a little
bit of time, because I mean the charge point just
run the ball down to their throats the whole game,
you know.
Speaker 4 (01:56:52):
I mean, that's my guess.
Speaker 3 (01:56:54):
Something could something sneaky happen that all of a sudden
the Raiders offense wakes up without.
Speaker 2 (01:57:00):
I don't think so. Their offensive line is really bad. Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:57:07):
The best game of the day America's Game of the
week Pittsburgh Buffalo Bill's laying three.
Speaker 2 (01:57:22):
Bills out both their tackles. Must win game for them,
must win game for Pittsburgh as well. Can you tell
me the the do we get Do we get Steeler
Steeler voodoo? Today? Do we get that? Like? What if
you tell me what what what Steeler voodoo we get?
I'll tell you the answer to this. This game, I
think Buffalo wins, it covers. But if we get if
we get Steelers voodoo, then who knows. I know, I
(01:57:48):
could see a little Steeler voodoo in this game. I mean,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:57:51):
I mean, but Bill should win, like you said, but
do you shure these weird games? I mean, and here's
the issue. They can't stop the run, and that's what
that's what they're gonna wind up doing the whole game.
Speaker 2 (01:58:05):
Yeah, but Pizer does run the ball terribly well. No,
but they're gonna try. You know, we had some little
success with warn and game. Well they're gonna try it.
Rogers is back, I know, I know Sunday night is why.
Speaker 4 (01:58:22):
Didn't they flex this game with what.
Speaker 2 (01:58:27):
I mean anything? God, maybe I thought, maybe thought Daniel
was gonna play. Yeah, I guess, I guess you're right
to them. Look at the slate. The slate is absolute
trash and you can't take the four o'clock spot. I mean,
I think I'd rather have Seattle Minnesota. Uh, well without
(01:58:51):
I mean, that's gonna be four touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (01:58:54):
I'd rather have that game than the Denver Washington. Yeah,
I mean we'll probably watch it's terrible.
Speaker 2 (01:59:02):
Uh. Any thoughts, I mean, I don't trust Denver. No,
I'll probably catch up on sleep. Yeah, and then Giants
Patriots Monday night.
Speaker 4 (01:59:19):
Jamee. It's always fun.
Speaker 2 (01:59:22):
Yeah, Dart's playing though. Dart is playing right, Yeah, Uh,
trying to keep think of a lot of games close.
I would trying to cover this number.
Speaker 3 (01:59:34):
Yeah, I don't know. I would put Dart and bubble wrap.
I don't even know what you're trying to accomplish. After
the concussions with him, I would just let it right. No,
it's not the concussion thing worries me more. I agree,
(01:59:54):
I just young quarterback Burrows different he's been around. Anyway,
We're done, guys, have a great we get We love
you guys. Thanks for hanging with us.
