Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kabbooms. If you thought four hours a day in the
air ever rewhere the fifth hour with me Ben Malor.
And it is a Sunday, the seventh day of June,
and that means it is time for the mailback. So
without further ado, I'm not gonna sit here and waste time,
give you all these dopey holidays that are happening today. Instead, ohiol,

(00:25):
get me in the mood. Ohio, it's in all right now.
You might be hearing some ambient noise in the background

(00:48):
that is not in the remote studio where I am
sitting in right now. That is not in the remote
studio on this seventh day of June. Instead, we welcome in.
We've been rotating celebrities on the mail bag. We'd we've
got some big names. We had doesn't get bigger than
Robbie the Mariner fan who's already been on twice, Justin

(01:09):
in cincinnati's been here, Nico from Vancouver. We've had a
bunch of big names and now possibly the biggest of
them all, a man who will not stop. Right now.
It sounds like he's playing musical instruments. We now go
to Boston. The only human being in the history of

(01:29):
humanity that has a Ben Mallard tattoo? Mi selepreca.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
My kids hit my chicken. Hi, Ben, I have a
new tattoo. By the way, you do what you get.
I'm not gonna tell you I'm sick with and I
won't say where it's still kidded.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I don't want to see it. I do not. Has
your life changed in amazing ways? Mike since you got
the Ben Mallard tattoo? Has it really gone up a
couple levels? Here?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Ben? Life has changed since I start calling two years ago.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, you're a celebrity now. It's not easy. I say
it all the time. It's not easy when you're a
celebrity caller. There's a lot of expectations. You've got to
sign autographs, you've got to take photo Oh jeez.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
No, all I do is get All I do from
the militia is take abuse. Well that's for the most part, that's.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Pretty much what. Yeah, they like to bust your balls.
And you're a good You're mostly a good sport. You're
mostly I'm always a good sport.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Are you kidding me? But anyway, it's a good night
for a pint.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Againness, Yeah, or good morning. Whatever. Good.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
No, it's right twelve or four of my time, so yeah,
I'm having a nice sip Againnis right now as we speak,
and left over dinner anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Good at telling time. All right, Well, here we go.
These are actual letters by actual listeners, and you can
send a message in. It will not make this edition
of the mail bag because we're doing the mail bag
and it's a podcast, so you have to send it
in in advance. You can send it whenever. Just put
put mail bag in the headline. It's Real fifth Hour
at GMA, Real fifth Hour at gmail dot com. We

(03:03):
have had a great variety the last seven to eight
by more than that, I'd say seven or eight months,
but it has really been over a year. We have
a lot of people that will we have our regulars,
and we have people that just occasionally will send emails.
So it's been great. I remember when we started the
podcast many years ago, we had to pathetically beg people

(03:24):
to send questions in. Fortunately, we've got a big enough
audience we don't have to do that. So enough of
that again, Real fifth Hour at gmail dot com, Real
fifth Hour at gmail dot com. First up is Freddie
from Chicago, who writes and he says, hey, Benny. He
didn't know you were here, Mike, so he didn't say
your name, Mike the Leperta, and he said, Hey, Benny,
this is Freddie from Chicago. I called your show in

(03:45):
two thousand and three, and I want you to know
it's the only call I've ever made to a radio show.
I just rediscovered your show recently and I was impressed
to hear you're still at Fox. Have they given you
a gold watch? And what happened? Doc Mike? Yeah, no, No,
they almost fired me when Mike the Leprechaun showed up

(04:07):
twelve hours early. That almost happened. Uh No, there's no
goal watch. I don't even think they know I work
at the company, and technically I wouldn't be eligible for
a goal watch because I was whacked by the company.
I was decommissioned in nine, seventeen years ago. I had
worked at the company nine years prior to that, so

(04:27):
I've been at the company for twenty six years. At
Fox Sports Radio. However, they did get rid of me
in nine and Doc Mike doesn't really call the show
much anymore, Freddy, he's semi retired from calling. Every once
in a while, Doc will show up and call I
did invite him to Cincinnati. He said he was going

(04:49):
to try to make it. He could not make it.
So I have not seen Doc in sometime. But he's
still alive as far as I know, and he's still
doing his thing. And then he says, also, Freddy says, also,
don't you work on Ventor Boulevard? And I do? And
then he points out that Ventur Boulevard, which is you
You've been there, Mike the Leprechaun, right, you were there
when you've.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Been lovely, lovely hot summer day, lovely, lovely weather.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
It says. Ventura Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley rank
number one in a new survey of US roads most
associated with low level hostile driving behaviors, including tailgating, blocking, merges,
break checking, and excessive honking. So, according to Yes to this,

(05:34):
this is the top the top street for a holes.
I thought this would be in like Boston or something
like that.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Oh jeez, it's then. There was a big piloup yesterday
at Los Angeles on the West Ever, the highway is
four h five. Did you see the two chases?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
There? Accidents every day, it's it's the ad it's wild.
It's like the Autobahn around this speed.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
This is a speed chase, a cop chase, a cop
chasing after two guys.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I didn't see that. I have seen so many wild
things driving at night. I will tell you, though, Mike
de Leprechaun and you Freddy, that the thing about Ventura Boulevard,
there's two different Ventura Boulevards. There's the daytime Ventura Boulevard,
which is everything that was described in this story, which
includes tailgating, people not allowing you to merge, break checking,

(06:30):
a lot of honking, a lot of middle fingers, all
that stuff. So that's the daytime, passive, aggressive Vctura Boulevard.
At night, it's a whole different world because you've got
these goblins that come out at night. You also have
up in bell Air, which is right above at least
our part of Ventura Boulevard where our studios are in

(06:51):
Sherman Oaks, and up the hill is bell Air where
all the rich people live, and at night they come
down with all these exotic cars and it's like speed racer.
They're zooming around the different you know, down Vinceur Bovart
and all the side streets there and so you're risking
your life whether you go during the day for at night.
But Freddy, I'm happy that you found the show again.

(07:13):
That's a long time, twenty three years. That's that's a
whole generation. That's a kid being born and then getting out,
going to college, and possibly getting out of college.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
So then, does does Freddy know that the Chicago Bears
are moving to Illinois? Oh no, they're not, Freddy, does
Doc Mike. He's from Chicago, right.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Mister Chicago, Well, they're moving to Indiana. They're in Illinois
right now. They're moving to India.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Oh yea, yeah, sorry, you're right, they're moving right across
the border. Now Mike Town is framing him, not Farmington
like you described it. But it's the same thing. Downtown daytime,
all the rich Brazilians drive around, especially in the summer weather,
with these loud, loud cars, trying to avoid homeless people,
and if you missed the green light by half a second,

(08:00):
your boom you have blownouts. And God forbid if they
ever let you merge.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
As far as the Bears, it sucks the Bears are
leaving downtown Chicago. Not that downtown Chicago's great. There are
some really bad parts, although most of the problems in
Chicago are on the South Side. I have family. I'm
upset because Mike the Leprechaun. My cousins live right near
There was a race track where they were going to
build the stadium for the Bears in suburban Chicago, and

(08:28):
my cousin's husband is a big Bears fan and he
was very excited about the idea the Bears would be
playing in their backyard. Instead, they moved across just just
across state lines there in Indiana. But it's the same.
It's people are making a big deal about it. It's
kind of like, well, the Patriots playing Foxboro. They don't

(08:49):
play in Boston, and I know they're called the Boston
Patriots anymore, but they playing in Foxboro, which is a
bit of a drive, right. It's traffic, and it's out
in the state.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
And it's about an hour it could be depending on
traffic and hour. But the thing about but the Bears
is they're the only franchise in the NFL that's not
owned by a big group. They didn't own their own
stadium basically, so it was always unleased. This is a
Soldier field, correct, Yeah, so they were shopping it out
and they got a much better offer, a much better

(09:18):
stadium orobously, but the thing about Soldier, I have a
cousin who lives in Chicago. I love their In fact,
my cousin is Pope Leo. But that's okay, that's beside
the point.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Can you get the Pope on?

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Can you maybe next time?

Speaker 1 (09:32):
All right, let's see cinnamon Roll. Gary from Pittsburgh met
him at the Big Ohio meet and greet we did
there while she's in Newport, Kentucky. Technically just before we
went to Boston hang out with Mike the Leprechaun and
the crowd there. He says, ben I got an email
the other day from MGM about an all inclusive package

(09:52):
midweek at the ex Caliber is three hundred and thirty
dollars for two nights with six meals, two show tickets,
and best of all, free parking and no resort fees.
There are restaurants at other MGM casinos to choose from
as well. Maybe they are finally coming around to bring
the little guy back. That's from Gary in what city?

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Vegas? In Vegas?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yeah, Vega's. So that's so cheap you couldn't even get
a hotel in Boston for one night for that price.
Not to mind meals yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
No, no, that seems like a good deal, and they
got to do something they like. This is we're at
a breaking point for Vegas. They have not done well
the last couple of years. They have price gouge. The
greed has become a huge problem there in Vegas. I
love Vegas, and I believe Vegas will come back. They
will figure it out. The first thing I would do

(10:46):
is get rid of paid parking. As Dana White pointed out,
you're going there. You know you're gonna lose money when
you go to Vegas. Very few people win money gambling.
You know you're gonna lose money. So you go in
there and the first thing they do is they jack you.
They picked your pocket for thirty five bucks to park.
We'll screw you. Yeah, I'll put that money in a

(11:07):
slot machine or I'll put it on a parlay or
something like that. But leave me alone.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
But if you have to ballet park, it's probably doubled
that right.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
It's terrible. It is so bad.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
But the thing about so I like going to Vegas.
I love going to the sphere. I was at the
first night of the opening with YouTube or the opening acts.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
So I've never been to. I've been in spirit, I've
been have.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
You heard have you heard about it?

Speaker 1 (11:29):
At least i've seen it. Yeah, I've seen it out.
I've been by it. It looks awesome on the outside.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I've never just the inside.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
I've never been inside. So I'm saying i've never been inside.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Yeah. Wow.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
I know a few people have climbed it. I know
that in trouble climbing it.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
So, thanks for those cinnamon rolls again here I ate
those my birthday. I didn't I was working, so I
didn't have cake. I ate one of your cinnamon rolls.
I heated it up in the air fryer, and that
was my dessert on my birthday. Al from the saw
Mins writes, and he says, Ben and special guest, which
is the Leprechaun, Michael Leprecaun? Is there anything more sensitive

(12:08):
than a store bought hot dog bun? I can't tell
you how many times I've opened up a bun that's
either been cut too deep it breaks apart, or not
cut ing off so it's hard to stick the hot
dog in.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
He says, sorry for the week question I've been working
a bit of overtime this week, if you know what
I mean. And then he points out free for dog.
I need every benny vote I can get double duty.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah all right, yeah, So where the heck? I know
fer Dog is going to come back. I know that
he has alto Pine looking looking out for him. But
the thing about the hot dog bun is, I'm gonna
blame Rich from Bajas he's a blame Blame him for
the hot dog, and blame my friend Crazy Joe from Chicago,
my neighbor, for he works in that kind of business too.

(12:59):
But anyway, so the hot dog bund, that's kind of
a it's a half a hot dog bund or a
quarter of a hot dog bun. It's it doesn't it
doesn't you need that perfectly started. Actually, what you need
to do is get a nice fresh baked out of
the oven roll and you cut it yourself and you
make the size you up.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Well, yeah, obviously that would be better to do that
without question. I have noticed there are certain grocery stores
you go to. They have the fresh there's some fresher
ones they cost a little more. And the problem is, like,
how many hot dogs are you gonna eat. You know,
they give you too many buns and they don't give
you enough buns. It depends, you know. So it's one
of those weird things with the hot dog bun thing.

(13:40):
Alf you are forgiven for the week question. Although I
don't think that's actually a bad question.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
That was one of life changing questions right there. The
most important question, by the way. Costco. I was at
BJ today, But Costco is the same thing pretty much.
They sell gas forty five cents cheaper than anybody in
America because they can afford it, because everyone's going to
go in and buy that Rotissey chicken at the very

(14:05):
very very back corner and spend one hundred bucks walking
back there. So that's their that's their business model.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Oh yeah, I've only bought gas at Costco unless I'm traveling.
I have for years podcasts, and here in California it's pricey. Yes,
it's expensive in the Boston area. In California though, it's.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Well, in Boston's about down to four point thirty now,
and I know in California is probably about five ors something.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
In the files, right, Costco's in the five eighties. Last
I went and got gass and then and everywhere else
is over six dollars?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Can I do a quick poem? This is well, this
is why Bej's rich. Send me. It's just a funny
story about Lorena. This is how she spends her day.
She wakes up with a Charlie Horse. She spends the
day with Arthur itAIS, Arthur writis, she dines with will power,
and she goes to bed with bed. Okay, wow, wow, yeah, classic.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
You had bits planned. I had no idea that Mike
the Leprecaunt had bits. Kevin and Temecula writes, And you
know where Temechula is, Mike the leprekhn nock.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Is it something that you get new here? Isn't it here?

Speaker 1 (15:17):
It's in San Diego? No, it's it's just he says Ben.
President Trump was asked this week about NBA Final tickets
going for eight thousand dollars. He said, that's the way
life goes. They can watch it on television. Are you
offended by this? Ben?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (15:35):
No, I'm not offended, but I don't care. Listen, I'm
not gonna pay eight thousand dollars. I would even consider
paying eight thousand dollars to go to anything. There's nothing
in life that I would convince would spend eight thousand
dollars on uh And it's a party for the one percenters.
It's always been that way in modern times. So you know,

(15:55):
I get it. You'd like to hear the president say, oh,
I want everyone to do it, and not everyone can
an NBA Finals game, nor should everyone attend an NBA
Finals game. And quite frankly, I got to tell you,
it's a better experience watching at home. The food's cheaper,
you can eat as much as you want, you know.
To me, it's just a better experience at home. Anyway,
I've been to a billion NBA not a billion. I've

(16:17):
been to a lot of NBA games for about twenty
years of my life. I went to eighty plus. Actually
I was about one hundred with the playoffs back when
Shaq and Kobe were playing. So I've done that life.
I've been to those big games. I've been to NBA
Finals games, so I've done it. It's great, it's wonderful.
I'm over it. And if I didn't do it, I'd

(16:37):
be okay with it too.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
So I should have mentioned when I was in Los
Angeles to that whole week, I had a car I
picked it up two miles away from my hotel, parked
at the hotel, and as you said, I had to
pay so much to park that I actually ended up
hiring a taxi for me, a private taxi for the week,
and that was cheaper than parking.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Is that true? Wow, that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
That is I drove it total four miles in one week.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
It's bad. Yeah at our building. Now we obviously have
parking at the Premiere Network studios. But if you don't
have parking, I think they charge.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
It was forty five bucks.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah, yeah, a day to a generic office building, a
skyscraper on Ventura Boulevard. They charged forty five dollars. That
You've got to be kidding me.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
The lifeguard, not the lifeguard, the security guard. He Oh
my god, you.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Didn't really like you. I don't think. I don't think
your friend I didn't.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Hit off hit it off on a good note with him,
Let's put it that way.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yeah, he must have a problem with people from Boston.
Tony in Philadelphia rights in or he says, outside Philadelphia,
he says, He says, Ben. The question has been answered.
It was all over the internet this week. Should you
sleep naked or in paja. The scientists have now checked

(18:02):
in on this. Did you see this, michael Leprecaun.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
I absolutely did. Yes, I follow NPR news, I do.
This was on the news.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Is Tony sent this from the Daily Mail, not NPR.
But they said that the scientists recommend you sleep with
pajamas on. They said it's more hygienic to sleep with pajamas.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
I guess you that makes sense in case you have
a fart.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Well not just in case you have a partner one.
I don't know. We've talked about this on the show.
One of the most amazing things I've learned doing the
show when it comes to the farting, it's it's next level.
Do you know the fart.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Stats number two.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Human's fart twice as much as originally thought. There was
a study downe by the University of Maryland the do
you remember the number, michael leprekhn Do you remember how I.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Day or pre night? I mean, I think it's about
forty you're.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Not You're a little over, but not that much. Thirty
two times a day.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Yeah, okay, so you lost the game.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
A lot of them are silent.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
A lot of them going back to the NBA games,
in the World Cup. I can't. I don't understand how
Marcel is able to go to Game three at Madison
Square Garden.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
He's not going to game three. What do you talking?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
He said he was, He said he certainly was.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Full of pooh pooh. He doesn't leave his home in Brooklyn.
He's staying there five hours a day, not twenty four
to twenty five hours a day. So there you go.
So yeah, Tony, I don't I don't listen. It is long.
I think the story here, Tony is if you Tony
and Philly who sent this message, as long as you
wash your your sheets and you don't.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
He who almost wore He almost said a swear er, Ben.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
My God, but never to there might be kids listening.
I would never do. I didn't a while. I blame guys.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Kids are my kids are happily in bed. Thank you God.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Good Mitch from all high all rights in He says, Ben,
which story is more outrageous? And then he sent me
two stories. I love this, the either or stories when
people send these in Michael lebrecun So. The story one
is a scientist in Michigan is pushing to create ticks
that will spread red meat allergies, so people will not

(20:20):
eat meat. He wants everyone to be an evil vegan
or vegetarian or whatever. And so this is a thing
apparently which some are calling biological terrorism. This guy from
Western Michigan University. I believe that's the university, and it's
not Ben.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
That's kind of that's half wrong, because it's half right
but half wrong. The tick makes you allergic to eating meat,
that's what.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
He well, yeah, that's what you want, he said. It
would It would those infected with or engineered to carry
alpha gal syndrome as through tick bites, causing victims to
suffer allergic gy when eating red meat, work or lamb dairy,

(21:05):
all those products. And that was the story number one. Storing.
Number two from Mitch in Ohio was that Google plans
to release sixty four million, sixty four million bacteria infected
mosquitos in California and in Florida. You're laughing, how dare you?

Speaker 2 (21:25):
What?

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Why you claim that they say these are good bugs
and they're going to be carrying like a bacteria called
I don't even know, I don't even know how pronounced
that word. But essentially this will take out the bad
mosquitoes because mosquitoes are the deadliest creature.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
We have more people die from mosquito bites than any
other thing in the whole world. And Jimmy kimmeloson now too,
Jimmy camel Ison. But that's fine anyway. So what's the
point of your two stories?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Well, which one was more rageous and the one? Well,
I don't. First of all, the guy from Western Michigan
that was he wrote some paper that's not actually happening.
The Google thing is actually happening, like they're actually doing
this if it hasn't been approved yet. They're asking for
federal approval for thirty two million modified mosquitos, the good bugs.

(22:21):
And so when the infected males mate with the wild females,
the females will still lay eggs, but the eggs will
fail to develop and hatch, gradually reducing the population of
mosquitos over generations, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
I thought this was a family show. So, Ben, if.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
I'm gonna say that, you know what I'm gonna say,
the Google things more. Even though that seems like a
good idea, you know, something's gonna go wrong and they're
gonna they're gonna miscalculate something and they're gonna actually end
up causing more deadly mosquitoes. So I'm going with this
because not like the first one's gonna happen. So that's
bullsh that's bull A said.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Somebody's holding up a dead raccoon. Here on, Jimmy Kimmel, I.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Don't know what you want me to do with that.
I please Ferg Dog And oh look at this. We
got a jail jail house email from Ferg Doog Fullerton
City Jail. He says, Ben and friend of the show
who probably reported me? Is that true, Michael Lebercon, did
you report?

Speaker 2 (23:20):
No? But I have a question for Fergie. If he
was in jail and trying to escape, would he use
w D forty or duct tape? Which would that would
be my choice if I gave him one of those
two things, I guess I would use the w D forty,
But anyway, I didn't put him in jail.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Unfortunately, he can't answer. He's not actually here. Yeah, he said,
I missed the cutoff last week, but I believe this
is the evergreen story. It's still relevant, so I'm gonna
run with it back. Similar to a game you played
with Coop recently. I want you to take the Kathy
Hockeley challenge, New York's brilliant governor challenge Trump to name

(24:00):
the starting lineup of the Knicks in nineteen ninety three
championship team. I know you weren't even born yet in
ninety three, but if you call yourself a sports fan,
you should be able to name at least one player
from the last great Knicks squad. He says. Also, ps,
do you have any good lawyers?

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Sure, Patrick Ewing, it comes to mind he was bought
in Cambridge.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
And see here's the thing, Ferd Dog's wrong. It's ninety seven, right,
ninety seven.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Ninety nine, party like it's nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
And Ewing did not he was on the Knicks in
ninety nine. He did not play for the Knicks. He
was injured in the NBA finals. So I believe Alan
Houston Latrell Spree. Well, is that right? I think those
guys that's right.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Yeah, A good memory about Ben? How do you remember everything?

Speaker 1 (24:45):
I don't remember everything. I don't like.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
You do have an amazing job of names and voices.
It's pretty astonishing.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Sucking up that's how you got on the mail bag.
Ryan from Shrewsbury writes in He says, now Ryan came
out to the event. Mike del leper Khan, you probably
met Ryan and yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah I did. Of course
he was. He's lovely guy, very nice, very humble, kind
of humble guy.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yes, very down to earth guy. I wish he is.
I didn't realize he was going to leave right away.
I would have spent more time with him. That happened.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
That was his choice.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Oh, he was busy. They had like crap they had
to do, you know, adult adult stuff they had to do.
And I don't think Ryan, much like myself, is very
He's an introvert, so to be in a social environment
like that is a nightmare. Ryan said, I to go home.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
He wanted to go home and fart in the bed.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Yes, everyone needs to fight in the bed, says Ben
and mystery guest Mike theh Leprechaun. I don't know if
you are aware, but I am a big fight fan.
My question is are you a fight fan? Many big
fights this summer. Connor McGregor came back in July and
we have the Freedom two fifty next week. What are
your thoughts on UFC fighting on the White House lawn.

(25:52):
That is from Ryan again in Shrewsbury. So Ryan, I'm
older than you, obviously. I grew up with huge boxing matches.
I love the big boxing match. I was lucky enough
to go to several in Vegas back when boxing still
ruled the world. I watched Mike Tyson fight Cover the
Tyson fight, Vander Holyfield, Oscar de la Hoya, that era

(26:13):
of boxing. Have tremendous memories of the fight game, and
these big boxing promoters Don King and Bob Aram bigger
than life. I just I love that. I'm not much
of a UFC fan. I am planning on watching the
event at the White House just because of the whole spectacle,
whole thing, and it's just I'll get into it. One

(26:36):
of my actually two of my good friends are huge
UFC fans, and they get very upset with me when
I say I'm not really into the UFC. They said,
what do you do? Sports? Should you should be part
of us? It's a sport, you know, and all that.
I'm like, Eh, have you.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Ever heard of a guy called Barry mcglighan. I have not, Okay,
But anyway, so regarding the two fifty, Donald Trump should
invite putin and have a good wrestling match to two
of them. That would be that would be quite a sight.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
And whoever wins gets to control the world.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Yes, and then they should invite the Chinese guy next.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, the all I can have a they can have
a steelcage match.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
And Connor McGregor is a piece of trash because he's
he ran for president. He was good about ten years ago.
All he's doing that was living on his reputation and
womanizing all that.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Yeah, he's had a lot of made a lot of
money doing.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
That, a lot of drama, a lot of drama.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
And arrested a few times.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Right, Oh God Jesus, Yes, who.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Has Reggie from Detroit writes and hello, Reggie, says Benny,
are you making the trip back to see your brother
and go into the garden? No, Reggie, you see you
see that this can't be true, right, There's no way.
So the there was a story recently that said the
Taylor Swift Travis Kelsey wedding is going to take place

(28:00):
Madison Square Garden in midtown Manhattan, right over Penn Station.
That can't be real, right, There's no way. No, I
don't believe that it's.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Seventy six percent certain it's going to be well, seventy
six percent is high odds. It's going to be in
New York. It was going to be Rhode Island, and
then it was going to be Jersey, but now it's
somewhere in New York.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah, I I yeah, come on please, oh yeah yeah
yeah yeah. Uh man. All right, let's see what else
do we have? Yeah, I'm not going. Are you going,
Michael lepprecunt, you're going to?

Speaker 2 (28:31):
I didn't get an invice.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
No, if it's at the garden, they'll have tickets twenty five.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Oh. Oh, that's stupid. You're going to pay to go
to a wedding. That's ridiculous. That's not going to happen.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Alex from paper Town Rights and I don't know where
that is, He says, Ben, are you preparing for the
big storm? Have you bought toilet paper? And have you
bought bottled water? And then they I guess there's a
story going around that the they're calling it a super LUPO.
Satellite images showing large areas of the Atlantic Ocean five

(29:09):
percent hotter than usual, climate change event imminent. No, it's not.
First of all, it happens every fact, every yes, And
that's the only time La gets any rain is when
there's al Nino. Like, it doesn't rain in La unless
there's al Nino, and then we get tons of rain,
which is good and bad because it's good because we

(29:32):
need the rain, and it's bad because the rain goes
everywhere and there's more.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Acts landslides, landslides and fire slides and.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
There's no fires because there's rain, which is good. But
then after the al Nino, because it rains so much,
the trees grow up, you know, tall, and then then
we have the fires. So it's wonderful.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
You can win. But the thing about what the heck
was I really Okay? I forgot I lost my turn talk,
which is rare, but I'll come back to it. No, no, no,
Paperville you said paper Town. Yeah, it's actually next to
Pencilville in California, Penncilville and Papertown jokes.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Yeah. Are you like Dorko the comedian?

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Now even dork Darko has gone dark?

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Is terrible? I mean, I love you.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
He was good, he actually was really good. And where's
the guy SpongeBob? We haven't heard from him for at
least months.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
These guys disappear. I'm telling you, these guys call for
a while and then, uh, what's that guy from New York? Well,
Steven Manhattan calls every once in a while. The other
guy though from.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Joe, Darcel, Marcel.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Joe Dog from Long Island, that guy.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
But the thing about Dorko or even Marcel, or maybe
Blind Scotts, they only have really one act and they
have to keep repeating the same thing over and over
and over again. But when you're a Leprecaun, you have
a variety. You can sing and dance, and you can
tell a Joe can. You can go with the flow,

(31:01):
which is important in life. You have to be able
to go with the floe.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
All right, now, do you need you need a moment
to kind of, you know, stretch your you're gonna pull
a muscle here. You're patting yourself on the back so much.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
No, I already pulled a muscle today, so I don't
need a lot of a muscle pulse. I was gardening there.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Our Quang from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Rights in guaranteed
human he says, big big man. Whatever happened to the
phrase of the work, He says, mine is done is
better than perfect, meaning progress often comes from finishing and learning,
not from waiting until something is flawless. A complete project,

(31:39):
post workout or idea usually creates more value than one
that stays unfinished in pursuit of perfection.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Wow, that's aboutful right there.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
No, it is true, like, and that's something I need
to work on quaying because like it's I forget what
it's called. There's a phrase for it, and I don't
have any in front of me right now, but.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
It's called the grass is always greener on the other side.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
That is not it. That is definitely not it. No,
the phrase is something to do with if you have
eight hours to get something done, you'll take all eight hours.
If yes, four hours to get something done, you'll take
four hours. So whatever. You don't need to spend as
much time doing stuff as you do.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
There's a big construction job over here today. It's a
historical building. But they had a particular side of the
building to paint and they had all day to do
it and they actually were done by one o'clock and
they were they left it was ninety degrees, So good
for them.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Well, that's great. The problem get paid? Oh yeah, the
issue is like with government. It's one of the reasons
that the taxes never go down, Like the stuff could
get done quicker. However, then they'd get less money, like
the contract, the vendors, the government people would get paid.
So things take all. It's like a lawyer, right, billable hours.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Yeah, per diem, exact per diem.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
As far as the phrase of the week, playing, it's
an add on items. It's like food. I get guys
upset because I don't do foody fun all the time,
you know, and all that stuff. And these are add
on items. And I do love words and phrases. I'm
definitely a fan of that. Anyway says try it this week.
Pick one thing you've been delaying until it isn't ready yet,

(33:28):
or because it isn't ready yet, focus on getting it
done rather than making it perfect.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
I do make a list, Ben every day. You stole
my list. And by the way, you stole my paper, well,
you toss it over the side. So if you want
to if you want a job to get done, ask
a busy man.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
There you go. Mike in Florida writes in that's a
big state. Mike. You might want to say, we're in Florida.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
I've never been.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
You've never been to Florida. That is a fact that possible.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
I don't know, but it's true.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
I've been to Florida many times. I'm not in a
long time. I used to Rodgers, had I lie not?
I've been to Miami. I've been to Vero Beach, all
up and down that coast called.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Did you meet did you meet Weed Man? Ever?

Speaker 1 (34:16):
No, I've never met. I've been through where else I've been.
I've been to Tampa. I've not been to the Tampa area.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Did you meet Tom Brady? Oh? No, he retired. Anyway,
here's something about saying there's a famous NASA guy. He said,
how there's a book called how Not to Shake Hands
with an Alien? Do you know why? Because the thing
you think you're grabbing as his hand is actually his
private parts? He oh, oh yo yea.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
That you must be reading my mind.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Mike, I am.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
I have TSP Mike from Florida. Right, so, he says,
shocking twist after America's top exorcist claims UFOs are actually demon.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
So can you believe that? Ben? I just did it again?
I do read minds?

Speaker 1 (35:09):
You did? Yeah? Well, I'll have to talk to Joe
the ghost Hunter. I met him, Joe. Maybe Joe the
Ghost Hunter can help us and all that he says,
I'm telling you when they could have a news conference
at the White House and say all right, there are
UFOs and they could line them up and you could
have all the different aliens from the different movies lined

(35:32):
up in a row and say here they are. And
a certain percentage of people are going to say that
that's not true.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
But ben every single alien stereotype. They all have humanoid bodies,
they have a head, they have two hands, and two legs.
That is very condescending aliens, is it?

Speaker 1 (35:51):
What if? That's my theory? We talked about this, I
think with Robbie the Mariner fan last week on the
mail bag. If I remember correctly, what if the alien
movies over the years from Hollywood were based on real
aliens like that's they used, like legitimate aliens that the
government's been in contact with about that?

Speaker 2 (36:13):
What if the aliens were the ones making the movie
and manipulating the world.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Well, yeah, it's the same concept. Yeah, same concept. Now,
speaking of that, speaking of small supposedly there are not one,
not two, not three, but four different kinds of alien
species that have been in contact with humanity. The Grays,
those are the ones that have the big head, the

(36:42):
big eyes, and the small bodies. You know what I'm
talking about. The giant Yeah. The Reptilians, which are tall,
scaled and they're shape shifters.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Is that kind of like et almost a little bit.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
Tom Brady? The Nordics, which are tall, blowing, human looking, peaceful,
peaceful types. And then they also have the insectoids. Oh boy,
these are the ones that don't look like him. It's
multi limbed, hive mind. And uh so that those are the.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Four supposedly are any of them green?

Speaker 1 (37:20):
M Well, the grays aren't reptilians. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Yeah, I would imagine. So that's why I have an
insight to this, because leprecauns are green, and we do
have a anyway, enough about lepragon, but by what can
I comment? That the Red Sox beat the Yankees tonight finally,
and Bomby was terrible again Bomby and bomb I'm gonna
call him Bambi.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
All right? Moving on Vic from Texas Rights and he says,
are you worried about the screwworm? He says, yeah, I
found this is a thing here, michael Leprecaun flesh eating parasite. Yeah,
Texas victims a lot. I've detected for the first time
in sixty years across the Mexican border into Texas. Yep.

(38:06):
So the parasite commonly called a NWS New World screwworm.
They lay hundreds of larvae in the wound of animals
and humans, which hatch within hours and consume their victims tissue. Wow.
That's and the.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
People who are most at risk are the farm workers
because obviously it's on a farm if you have a cow,
so the cow is vulnerable and the farmers are very vulnerable.
It's a real thing.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Yes, all right, Uh, that's scary stuff. I will use
that on the show though. I'm gonna I'm gonna make
a note michel Leprechaun and Thick from Texas the screwworm,
and I'm gonna say, hey, we're gonna put a screwworm
on them, and then that that'll be I'll use that line.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
I'll have mister Irrigation call in and figure it out.
Mister irrigation.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Yeah, that's your point, mister irrigation to have an answer.
In Houston. Richard from Arizona better known. I guess his dick,
although he didn't say that here. He says, hey Ben,
scientists made sour dough bread using yeast collected from Azzi
the iceman's mummified body, and they say that the bread

(39:18):
came out really good.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
It doesn't matter where you get the moisture from, as
long as the moisture.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
The iceman's mummified body. This guy died. I guess he
was discovered by German hikers back in nineteen ninety one,
and scientists have found signs of life in the five thousand,
three hundred year.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Old mummy, Mummy, Mammy, Mammy.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
By way that point, Richard said, would you eat bread
made out of a mummified body?

Speaker 2 (39:52):
That would be an honor, wouldn't it. That's where they're
trying to go to the south pole of the moon,
because there's liquid water frozen London.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Well, that wouldn't make you a cannibal if you ate
bread made from a mummy, would it? Because it's not.
It's just as you said, it's the yeast.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
I don't know, cannibal like.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
Jeffrey Dahmer.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Carl from Texas writes in he says, hey man, and
whoever does Dan Marino deserve the heat that he's getting
after signing a MAGA hat and hanging out with Ted
Cruz at the White House. So I didn't see this, Carl,
I guess you sent me a link to a story
here where Marino's getting killed. Listen. Uh my position, I've

(40:44):
said it a million times. I'll say it a million more.
Social media is not real. It's it's all the matrix.
It's all a mind trick and all this other nonsense
and all that. I think most people don't really care.
My experience going out Michael Leprechaun and meeting fans of
the show, many of them are very into politics. Yeah,

(41:06):
yet I think the rank and file just trying to
get through life, just trying to get through the day.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
It's like Thanksgiving. Don't talk about politics, don't talk about religion.
And the thing that's happening in Washington this summer with everything.
Donald Trump can't even have famous artists come to perform.
He's going to perform himself. He said, I'm not a
Trump fan, but Den Marino, Den Marina should know better.

(41:33):
Oh he's a big boy. He doesn't need that money he.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Wants Who cares it's his life. If he wants to
hang out, he can hang out. Stephen from Chicago says
Ben and Mystery friend Bear's quarterback Caleb Williams is being
slammed because of the cover of Madden, which apparently he's
wearing nail polish. Uh so, there you go, he's Stephen says,

(41:57):
did do you think they did this intention? The people
that made the video game? He a sports well obviously,
I mean the Caleb Williams. That's what he's known for.
Like he where's nail polish? So like, if you're gonna
put Caleb Williams on the cover of a video game,
going to have nail polish, That's kind of how that works.
It's not really shocking that he has it. If you
didn't want that, you wouldn't have put him on the cover.

(42:18):
So that's that. I don't it's you know, the game
sells pretty much the same. I don't think it really
matters who's on the cover. Uh So you know he needs.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
You know what he needs. He needs a Hugh Hefner
robe and a pair of slippers as well.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
Great idea. Last one, Last one Michael lepreca on Last
one from Mike from Appleton that's in Wisconsin, says Ben.
Here's another story about Trump. You guys are sending me
a lot of Trump related stories here. What's up with that?
Trying to get me in trouble. Mike says Donald Trump
was mocked he because he did not recognize former Brown's

(42:56):
offensive lineman and Hall of Famer Joe Thomas. And an
event here in Wisconsin. Trump said, Hey, the guy that's
a good looking guy or whatever something like that, and says,
but I don't know who he is anyway, Mike says
he wanted to know, would you recognize would you recognize
Joe Thomas? No? Hell, No, I would not ride Joe Thomas.

(43:19):
He's an offensive lineman. He played for some of the
worst NFL teams of all time, So no, I would
How would I? Possibly he's not wearing his helmet, he's
a former player. Although Joe Thomas did give us one
of the all time great quotes, one of the outstanding quotes,
when he was talking about playing offensive line for the Browns.
He said, it's offensive lineman. We consider ourselves mushrooms because

(43:42):
we get thrown into the corner of a dark room
and people pile poop on us. And then expect us
to grow, which is a wonderful quote, just a wonderful quote.
But no, I know who. You know, he's gonna know
who Joe Thomas is, Like, seriously, what are we doing here?
On that note?

Speaker 2 (44:00):
That's a very good scientific reference. You know what he is?
He is a fun guy.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
There you go, Joe Thomas, fun guy. We'll get out
on that note. I will be back tonight and all
week on the Amazing Riveting Ben Malors Show. No days
off this week, and I'm sure we'll have many conversations
with Mike the Leprechaun who was on the mail Bag
and if you'd like to recommend someone for a future

(44:28):
mail bag someone on the show. I did reach out
to Weedman Hippie to try to see if he wanted
to do it. He is unable to work out the
technical part of it. He is completely clueless on how
to do anything involving tech. So therefore he is out.
We don't have him on the show. There are some
other people we're looking at. If you would like to

(44:48):
recommend someone though for the mail bag, you want to
hear more of a caller to the show or someone
on social media. Real fifth Hour at gmail dot com.
That's real fifth Hour at gmail dot com the Leprechaun.
Thank you for your time, sir.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
My pleasure. I'm ready for the Mallard Paloozer.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
Hi Mala Palusa is coming up this summer, big event
of the summer. Have a great rest of your Sunday
Sunday Sunday. We will talk to you a few hours
from now tonight
