Speaker 1 (00:00):
On today's show, we're going to bring on a former
New York Nick to tell him why he should be
ashamed of his former team. Let's go roll the intro,
BUTDUSA the start button go, I'm gonna start beating the ship. Alright. Alright,
yo yo, you dam and to your life from Philly.

(00:23):
It's the number one rated Bully and Tony Fusto show.
Yo yo yo. As always, Polly Fosco here with Tony
Fosco and Tony Yo huge shout. Today. You know, we're
gonna go deep on these terrible embarrassing NBA Finals and
we're also going to tell you in NFL News while
the Rams absolutely blew it with the Miles Garrett Trale

(00:44):
and uh. Also back to the finals, We're going to
be bringing on this guy. He was, you know, a
so called key member of the last New York Knicks
team to make the NBA finals, you know, in ninety
nine when they lost to the Spurs in five games
and therefore started the Spurs dynasty and ruined the NBA
for the next two decades. Yeah, Chris Childs will be
joining the show.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, and then he'll probably quickly leave the show too.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah, we'll see how long this one lasts. And by
the way, on the subject of lasting, you know, we
saw the watch time for our last episode. It was
under like seven minutes or something. It's clear why, you know,
a bunch of knickstands. But Hart, you have to come
into this the show. Yeah, you know heard our smart
takes about the terrible thing, and there's such a bunch
of b words who can't handle the truth that they

(01:29):
just you know, had to close their browser and run
to them. You kidding me? Look, it's exhibit A. Yeah,
our producer who has once again had the goal to
show up wearing a Knicks hat.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
What the reason people tuned out is because your takes
were terrible?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Well, you know it will be our best take when
I take you down to the river and drown you.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, the best take is going to be when you
take your final breath.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Now shut up? Yeah, exactly, Now shut up? And why
him ruined the show? Wow? But by the way, if
you don't want to ruin the show either, remember you
hit like you hit subscribe, you don't just sit there.
You'll also go to apple POD's You're rate and review
five stars. Anyway, enough of all that, let's get into
our top story s. All right, first out the game,

(02:18):
the Knicks took Game one the NBA Finals, blah blah blah. Yeah,
we know the whole city of New York is excited
for this team, but we're not. No, you know, they
didn't build this roster. They stole stolen from Villanova. Yeah,
so personally, I think it's clear that if you support
this next team, then you support crime. Isn't that right?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Don'ty of course, But this is just par for the
course with New York. Crime has been legal there for
hundreds of years. So when in New Yorkers see something
get stolen like a purse or Jalen Brunson, they just
shrug his shoulders, you know, because they're normalizing crime.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, they're normalizing crime. And you know when we say
to people that the Knicks all players from Villanova, people
say to us, these morons. They say, well, that's how
things work in the draft, and well, yeah, I have
three words back for them. The Vietnam Vietnam war. Course,
think about it.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
How come when people get drafted to war against their will,
that's somehow bad. But when they get drafted to go
play for another team and another state against their Will
that's somehow okay. You know, as they say, those who
don't learn their history, you know they're gonna get.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
In f in history exactly, Donny. You know the Spurs
they're guilty hre though, of course, I mean, where do
you think they found this Victor Wembernach because you know,
they say France, but seems a little too convenient to me,
don't you think, Donate Coorse.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
You know, if you've studied alien spacecraft like I have,
and listen to George Norri's Trust Did radio show, you
would know that UFOs tend to land where the southwestern
paw of the United States, exactly just outside of Texas.

(04:13):
To me, it's pretty obvious that Victor Wembenyama spacecraft crash
landed somewhere near the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.
And then the Spurs worked with the NBA and CIA
to claim he came from France because that excuse also

(04:33):
famously worked for the Coneheads. And look at the last
alien looking person we saw in the NBA, Sam Cassel
and who drafted him, Houston, Texas case closed.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Wow, just makes total sense. When he added all up
Tony and you know, just talking about crime and criminals,
you know, the Knicks stealing money from their fans. The
average ticket price for this series now up to sixty
thousand dollars. Well, you would never see that in Philly,
would You don't know? You know, the average.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Price of a ticket to Game four of this last
Knick six's series here in Philly was just nine cents.
And that's because we don't try to scam our fans
like the Knicks do.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
By the way, talking about these shameful Knicks, you know
who should also be ashamed, the Brunson family. People are
saying they're impressed by Jalen Brunson's performance in Game one.
The guy's got a clear unfair advantage, doesn't he don't?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Of course, it's clear as day. His dad is a
coach on the team, Rick Brunson. You know that's why
he's been able to get so much extra playing time.
I mean, we see this all the time in Little League,
where some Brady kidd has a dad as a coach
and he gets to be in games more while some
poor kid has to sit on the bench. You know,

(05:53):
watching Game one, my heart was breaking for Jordan Clarkson
and also Ariel huck who didn't play due to a hem,
coach's decision.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Just terrible, just terrible. Anyway, enough of that, let's move
on through some NFL news. Well, this wasn't exactly news.
AJ Brown traded from the Eagles to the Patriots. I
mean again, this was no shocker because unlike some other news, well,
we've known about this story for months now, and well,
you know, it's clear to see why, don'ty, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
You know, personally, I don't want to name names here,
but I think we all owe a certain debt of
gratitude to a certain NFL insider for her or maybe his,
but probably her in depth reporting. You know, when I
heard about this story months ago, I could tell that
someone could only get this info by penetrating the Patriots organization,

(06:49):
or you know, maybe by being penetrated by a Patriots
organ You know, clearly that insider went inside to get
those details or maybe you know, had someone go inside them.
But whatever the case, it was a job well done,
whatever type of job, it was.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yep, terrific journalism by you know whoever that was. And
well to the trade that did shock a lot of
Bayball Miles Garrett getting traded from the Browns to the Rams,
and a lot of Babel Morons are saying that this
was a great move for LA. I didn't think that you, Tony,
not at all.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
We all know the key to success in the NFL
is what.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Long term thing?

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Of course, And sure, okay, this trade may lead to
one or maybe two Super Bowl wins at best, but
what about after that? What's going to happen to the
Rams roster in the twenty thirty two season when Miles
Garrett and Matt Stafford have retired, and then after that
when they can't play anymore because they've a ready been

(08:00):
enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Clearly, the
Rams are just setting themselves up for failure.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Great points all around, Dony and well other news OBJ
signed with the New York Giants.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Your thoughts yet, Donny, I don't really care, do you?
Nobody cares?

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah? Right that head. No, let's just move on to
something more relevant. The Stanley Cup Finals there are, and
in this year it's between the Vegas Golden Knights and
the Carolina Hurricanes. Tony, you know you've analyzed both games here.
What do you think is the biggest question surrounding this series?
You know, for me.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
The big question is how they keep all that ice
from melting while playing in one hundred degree Vegas weather,
and why if it works so well, why haven't they
used the same technology up in the polar ice caps
to something. You know, I don't want to stand on
my soap this year, but it just says a lot

(09:05):
about the state of our country that we'd rather use
this super coolant or whatever it is to save hockey
games instead of penguins.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
You know, pretty sad if you ask me, Wow, Tony,
that is terribly sad, but also beautifully said by you,
just terrific words of wisdom. And well, on the subject
of words of wisdom, you know, Father's Day is around
the corner, and well, you know you can show your
dad how much wisdom he gave you. And there's only
one way to do that. You got to buy him

(09:35):
gifts from the full Sco Show merch store. You know,
up until June eighth, you can get twenty percent off
in the merch store. You go there now and you
check out all the new designs that were boasted about
two months ago. So if you haven't seen him, you know,
well they're new to you. Hyeah. Click the link in
the description and you get shopping.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
You want your dad to finally love you, Click the
link in the description and.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Get a shopp anyway, right, anyway, that's that's the ad
there and the end of our first segment day, we're
going to take a break. Be right back with our guest.
All right, we're back from break, producers, the guest on
the line.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Not yet.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Oh sorry, apologies for asking you to do your job.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
You know, yeah, he's on the line now.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Oh oh, now he's on the line. Oh how convenient. Okay,
all right, all right, anyway, enough with that, let's not
waste any more time. Get him on the FUSCO satellite network. Well, look,
who finally decided to show up? You know, usually we
have guests here, Chris, who start when the segment starts.

(10:43):
But I guess you're used to coming off the bench.
That's how this works.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Yeah, that's why we win.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
You guys know, we're going to start the show ingratiating
to hijack the show. By the way, he's wearing a
Yankee sat. He can't where another relevant New York team.
We'll handle the intro. Okay, I'll guess today. Okay, he
was a rival of Oz for a long time. But
now you know, we're gonna try and put that in
the past. You know, I'm like you, it seem like

(11:11):
you don't want them. But spend nine seasons in the
Association Nets Raptors, most notably with the New York Knicks,
where he was part of the last Knicks team to
make the NBA Finals, you know, until now. Of course,
that ninety nine team lost to the San Antonio Spurs
in five games, giving the Spurs their first championship of
the dynasty and ruining the NBA for the next Ruins.

(11:32):
All right, anyway, now we can say it, Chris Childs,
welcome finally to the show.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Welcome you having's let's have some fun with us.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Don't worry you'll have all right, First, let's start with
this game one, all right, the Knicks one. New York's
in a hubub whatever. You know. People say, we should
be impressed with how this next team built its roster.
They just stole the villain over rs. They stole out.
So don't you agree that if you support the Nick
you're supporting crime.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Oh wow, that's that's big. I don't know if it
was mine. I don't know if you're I don't know
if you're supporting crime, but I never saw it coming,
so hijack is probably the correct word.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
No, I'm just saying because nobody, nobody saw it coming,
and that's what a hijacked is.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
But you still have you're saying the Nicks are terrorists?
Is that what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
I've never I don't use that word. I've Republicans do that.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Shouldn't the next pay attax like a thank you to
the Sixes or the Villanova at least for taking our
best players.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Makes sense, Yeah, it makes sense, but I think we did.
We took it lightly on you guys in game four.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Oh it's rude. Well, on the subject of losers, talk
about that nineteen ninety nine NBA Finals walk us through that.
Why was your team sucking so much?

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yeah, it wasn't that we were sucking. We were. We
lost Patrick, he got hurt, LJ was banged up. LJ
was banged up. I was banged I mean everybody was
banged up. But they were just the better team. If
we'd have Patrick, I think we had a better chance
because they would have moved Larry Johnson back to the

(13:16):
three and not planning the four a lot of things
would have changed the lineup, but they were just a
better team. And the bad part about that loss was
after we lost to them, I go to the line
on vacation and I get married and guess who I
see coming out the clubhouse of the golf course. That's

(13:37):
David Robinson.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
And so he was sleeping with your wife.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
I maybe should I wish somebody would have because I wasn't.
But he asked. He asked to play in our group,
and I said, we had a foursome already, which was.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Group of golf righting in the in the honeyboll can
turning audience.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
And our furs on the golf course.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Got it sure?

Speaker 4 (14:06):
And uh, he asked to play, and I told him
we were full, which we weren't because I didn't want
to see him for eighteen already. So he was.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Playing mind games even after they beat you. He said, oh,
I'm going to his wedding too, just to remind them
who the ultimate mail is.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
I think somebody immedia slipped the information.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
But are you saying to one? And told David Robinson
where you were on vacation And David Robinson got on
the plane to just go there and to ruin your
life for the second time that month.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Okay, I just need to make sure when I said
this headline through uh Yahoo Sports, that they will publish
it correctly. You know, was Tim Duncan there too? Did
Tim Duncan and Greg Popovich show up? Though?

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I don't think they showed up, but I think they
had something to do with Oh, this.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Certainly raises a lot of questions. I got another one
about those finals. Yeah, who do just they choked the
Knicks in the finals or Latrell spray well at a practice?

Speaker 4 (15:11):
That's pretty good?

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Uh serious question about journalism?

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Well, I know, I know Sprae has has a history
with choking, uh DJ Yeah, yeah, but don't I don't
see him doing that on the court. He played us,
He played his butt off, So if anybody choked, it
was probably the referees. They choked on the whistled.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Oh you know, here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Did the referees and also the Knicks offense fall asleep
because the Spurs were such a boring team that everybody
was just kind of asleep, allowing them to take advantage?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Did they lull you to sleep with that offense.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
If they call that boring, then sign here, because whatever
it was, they didn't well and it worked. So whatever
you want to call it, uh, sign me up for it.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
But by the way, that was a strike shortened season,
right it was? Yeah? Yeah, I went back and looked
up the scores of those finals games. The Knicks lost
Game two by a score of eighty to sixty seven.
Were the games themselves actually shortened that yet?

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Though?

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Like, were you only playing three quarters? Is that what happened?

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Was it really eighty sixty seven?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Yeah? Yes, I can count that was That was game
I was shocked though, Game two, that was game you
scored sixty seven point? Well, wow, you scored sixty seven points.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
He might have blocked it out from the trick and
the game ended at halftime.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Dudeeah, audience board, did you guys forfeits something?

Speaker 4 (16:44):
That was? That was a heat? That was heat? Then
we was on a we was on the heater. We
had sixty seven. I thought it'd been more than like sixty.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Oh, so you even know that offense was fugere.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Yeah, we sucked in this series, but we had to
up the pace. I want to get past Miami and
the other teams going getting into the finals. So I
think our scoring was a little higher, maybe in the seventies,
but that was the game.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Okay. I mean it sounds like you're scoring was just
as bad in the finals as it was on your
honeymoon based on what happened. But okay, let's move on here.
I watched this game the Knick Spurs this finals. It's
so boring. It's a shooting.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
You know.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Back in the nineties, the game was much better. It
was more violent. Punch You punched Kobe in the face,
you know, by the way I heard the Knicks gave
you the key to the city after that? Is that true?
After you punched Kobe?

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Please the stair?

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (17:40):
He doesn't want to say which key ego? Okay, but
I have a question.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
If the Knicks go down in this series, let's say
that down three to one, you know, do you think
Jalen Brunson should try punching Victor wembin Yama or is
that bad advice because his arms are too short.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
I don't know how that's bad. But I don't need
to punch, and we're not going to get to that point.
We're taking one game at a time. If anybody, go
do any punch and they can bring me out of
retirement for thirty seconds.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Well you should, you know, actually your idea, you were
a great three point shooter. How much do you regret
not being born in the year two thousand and five
so that you could be playing today and making forty
million a year?

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Great question.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
We all wish that we could play in this era
because the amount of money these guys are making for
joining the minimum a stuardinary. We have a lot of
great talent in this league. But I mean that's what
it is. The game evolves, bunny bolves happens.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, but I blame your parents, you know, they should
They should have waited to do is to make you
too much later than you would have been. You would
have been rolling in dough or would you just yep or.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Some of that Benjamin Button medicine that would have helped.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Oh exactly. That's interesting, Yeah, saying you want to reverse
the course of your life in order to get back
in the NBA.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yeah, yea reverse you up and then shoot half court
shots all day for fifty million.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Yeah, I can do that. That would be that would
be the plan. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
By the way, when you look back at your career
on a scale of one to then, how disappointed are
you that you didn't get to play with Alan Iverson
on that legendary Sex's team.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
I don't uh ai and rude. Uh. The thing about
a people don't understand, especially when you when he likes
you and your friends, it is he would call you.
He would call you if we're coming down to Philly,
and Philly he would call you and he'd be like, oh, gee,
I'm gonna come get you, man, We're going to hang

(19:41):
out and have some dinner. So you know, the first time,
all right, I know what you plan there. I know
it is, I'm gonna come yep. Then after a while, yeah,
after a while, it's like you look at the clock,
it's four o'clock in the morning. Yep, And you got
to chase Himmer out the next day.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Did you call your wife though, to see where she
was that night? Just curious?

Speaker 4 (20:01):
I didn't have one at that time, But I had
already already.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
You know, just was thinking the story.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
It already been dealt with. But yeah, those those those
legendary stories with him were uh things to be written
in the book because he's not He's incredible athlete. He's
an incredible person that has the stamina to just go
all night still got.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Oh between the lines, other forsome? What are we talking
about here?

Speaker 4 (20:33):
You guys living? You notice about you know?

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Well, I'm just serious. Where did you when did you
see Alan Iverson going all night? You were you know?
And what did you say? Was there at the club?
At the night club?

Speaker 4 (20:45):
We have to I can't remember the name of it.
Uh a titty bar. It was a titty bar.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Just off of that based alone, would you say in
your top three NBA players of all time?

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Number one easily thanis Allen.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
As far as what the greatest.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Basketball player who ever lived? Yeah, on and off the court,
you know, Allan Ivison?

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Uh Ai is in my my person is I've played
against him. I didn't play against will Be Kareem and
now I played against Magic a couple of years. But
in my top.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Five because I was on the court.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Okay, yeah, I've played played against Of course Ai is
in the top five, absolutely one. It's jury.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Wait who's number two?

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Number two would probably be cold.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
But you punched Kobe in the base.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
It doesn't mean he can't play the game of a squall.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
So you're saying you respect the guy more that you
punched in the face, that Alan Iverson is punched in
the face.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
No, that's what you were saying.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
You are disrespecting the legacy of Alan Iverson. I'm going
to give you one chance here right are and apologize
right now.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Oologize to the Philadelphia City and the sixes and AI
right now the city.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
I'm a realist. Your boy's number three.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Oh well, guess what do you do? I'm not going
to poop you off the show because guess what, Swiss child,
Child's protect your services. You shot you disrespect? Where was
there showing I'm saying, is on the line? Jay, hang

(22:34):
up the phone. Look at him. He's smiling. There he
enjoyed that. Yeah, he looked. Because you're a trader, Nick Zach,
don't don't even talk anyway. Look, we're just going to
wrap the show. There not let a producer or Chris
childs ruining the show. Don't forget you go to the
mark Stone. What are you just kidding me? Direction? I
just said, be quiet. What do you want? Corrections? Go

(22:58):
watch go.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
You suggested that Ariel Huckporty should have played more for
the next in Game one, yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Bro, Yeah, he got keated out of valuable playing time.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
But he plays the center position. So you're saying they
should bench Carl Anthony Towns for someone who only has
a year of NBA experience.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
That's insane. Oh yeah, well you're going to be at
the center of the scope on my rifle.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Yeah, and you know what gets tons of playing time
your right hand and your penish.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
Oh god, you said we should take the same ice
cooling technology on NHL ice rinks and use that to
keep the polar ice caps from melting.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Yeah, bro, easy solution.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
No, it's not.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Those are the coldest places on Earth. It would consume
so much energy and it would actually be worse than
the environment. It's a stupid idea.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Oh yeah, well you're going to consume energy when I
pour gasoline down your throat.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Yeah, and you know what scientists say is actually the
coldest place on Earth your tender account. Oh wow, I'm
still talking.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Go, you got the saying wrong. It's not those who
don't learn history get an f in history. It's those
