Speaker 2 (01:21):
It seems like t J.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Hudsman's OUTA on the other end is having some technical difficulties,
but I'm pretty sure that he will be joining us
pretty soon. We got a lot of fantastic stories to
talk about everybody. Everybody's been talking about Max Crosby, we
know what happened with that. We'll even get into some
NBA What Comes the legends in the second hour. So

(01:45):
we got a lot of great topics to talk about today.
But I think what everybody wants to know and to
understand is what happened with Max Crosby, the Las Vegas
Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens Ravens. So just last week

(02:05):
we were praising the Baltimore Ravens with the moves that
they were making offensively and defensively, trying to get back
to having one of those stellar defenses that we are
used to seeing them have. But somewhere along the line,
when this deal was being made, the Baltimore Ravens rescinded

(02:27):
the trade, which I don't understand. It's mind boggling to
me of how a player can pass a physical from
one organization and go to see a different debt a
different set of team doctors and he doesn't pass a physical.

(02:53):
I've never understood that. I don't know how that happens.
We saw it happen years and years ago when Drew
Brees was a free agent going from San Diego and
he felled the physical from the Miami Dolphins, and you
look up twenty years later, he's one of the greatest
quarterbacks they ever play. Because they said that he couldn't

(03:15):
pass a physical on with his rotator cuff, Well that
wasn't accurate. Now he is one of the greatest players
that ever lived. But I'm thinking about this whole Baltimore
Ravens thing of how they let this this happened. Now
Max Crosby is back in the building as a Los
Veakers raider. It seems that he's rehabbing and getting back

(03:38):
to the way that he was playing. Like if you
asked me, Max Crosby was dominating last season. If the
if he was had this moniscus, it's not it's not
a career in an injury. So it's something that that's
that can be fixed. We've seen that throughout see with

(04:00):
the guys who have had this injury, they come back
from it and they're going to be one hundred percent.
So there has to be something more to this story
from on the Baltimore side medically of how Max Crosby
would fell a physical I just don't understand how Las

(04:22):
Vegas raiders would trade him, because they have to be
healthy to be traded. Man, Plexico, listen, man, we we
all know it. First off, Pax let me. I don't
know if you did this, but it's a tradition on
this show. Hey, out here, plex it's not a cloud
in a sky.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Boy. It's seventy five degrees at nine am. Man, I
think yesterday yesterday it was ninety. What what is out
there for y'all? No, man, we ain't know where they're
closed up. Well, it's a clear, clear, clear, clear skies
and nothing but palm trees when I look out the window.
But let's get into what you're talking about, Plexico. Let's

(04:59):
just call it what it is. The Ravens got cold feet.
They had buyer's remorse, and they realize they can get
out of it. And the buyer's remorse was Trey Hendrickson
wanted upper thirty millions per year. He wanted thirty seven,

(05:20):
thirty eight, thirty nine million a year. His number started
to drop to twenty eight, twenty nine thirty, and the
raven said, oh, we like to get in this business.
Now the number has dropped we gonna give up two
first rounders for Max Crosby and probably have to extend him.

(05:42):
That's a lot of money and a lot of draft capital.
We want out if we can get in on this
Trey Hendrickson deal. That's all. It was fell physical. They
knew he had surgery. They knew that who's gonna pass
a physical a few weeks after surgery? Nobody? Nobody? And
so for me, I think it's bad business on the

(06:06):
Ravens part. Now do they have the right to do it? Yeah,
if I'm the Raiders, I'm not dealing with the Baltimore
Ravens ever again, when it comes to a trade, if
I'm the lead, if I'm another team, why would you?
And I'm a fan of the Ravens, but why would
you subject yourself to this possibly happening to you because

(06:28):
they feel like, oh, we may have a better deal.
Once you agree to something, you got to operate with
some integrity and I feel like they didn't do that.
And we can go into so many different ways. It
is Trey Hendrickson, Max Crosby the player, Who would you prefer,
Who's gonna make a bigger who do you believe will

(06:50):
make a bigger impact. I just feel like Max Crosby
had his mind set on the Baltimore Ravens, and now
you got to kind of recalibrate and say, Okay, I'm
still with the Raiders. If you're the Raiders, do you
keep him or you or do you still look to
move on?

Speaker 4 (07:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
He made it be known. I wanted to be gone.
What what would you do if you're the Raiders? What
would you do if you're a Max Crosby?

Speaker 4 (07:19):
I mean, how do you feel if you're Max Crosby?
I mean, especially after you know everything had transpired at
going into the last couple of games of the season,
basically sending them home and saying that listen, uh, we're
going to bench you for the rest of the year.
And he was basically like a healthy scratch, and you
know he wasn't He wasn't happy about it at all.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I don't I.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Can't remember a team doing that to a star player
in which the manager that they did because they were
basically I thought it was a tanking job for them
to be able to get to pick that they that
they wanted the number one picking from Fernando Mendoza. All
worked out, but if you're Max Crosby, how do you

(08:04):
feel when you walk back in the building. I've never
been in a situation like that where to the point
where you're unhappy, you don't want to be, you no
longer want to be a member of this team. You
get traded thinking that you're going to now be playing
for a team that can contend for a Super Bowl,

(08:26):
especially with adding him to this roster and contend to
win the AFC North. I thought it was a home
run for Baltimore. I thought it was a win win,
And now he's back in the building in Las Vegas,
and I just don't know how I would feel personally
as a player of you know, how I would you know,

(08:49):
be towards you know, Mark Davis, Tom Brady. You basically
didn't want me here, and now this whole trade situation
was rescinded, it didn't work out, and now back in
the building, and I'm supposed to wake up every morning,
uh and be uh, you know, excited about a team

(09:12):
that basically traded me away, and I'm supposed to go
out and give one hundred percent, you know, uh to
this to this football team. So I just don't know
how you deal with it mentally, it has to be tough.
You know, it's a job, and Max is going to
go out there and do his job. He's going to
do it well. But at the end of the day,

(09:32):
always in the back of your mind, you will never
forget how they did you.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
I feel like if your Max Christy, you know that
locker room, locker locker room knows you, You're the unquestioned
leader in that locker room. This is the problem is
they're in a rebuild. The Raiders are They're basically starting
from the basement and trying to work their way up.

(09:59):
You're gonna Dres Mendoza with the first pick. If he's
a baller, you got a chance in year two. If
he's a baller, you have a chance in year two
to get into the playoffs. And if he isn't, Now you,
Max Crosby, it's like, I'm wasting years on my career.

(10:21):
And so that's the dilemma. Do you wait and see
how Fernando Mendoza looks? Are you just like you know what?
I do not want to go through a rebuild again.
I don't want to go through this new head coach,
new quarterback, new stat knew everything. Do I want to
go through this rebuild or do I want to get
to a team that they really just need me and

(10:44):
we can rock and roll. There's two teams when I
think about this, the Chicago Bears. He gets to the
Bears with that offense, with what they did last year,
he may be the missing piece. And then the other
team is you're gonna laugh at this is the being
And I'm gonna tell you why. How many times has

(11:05):
Max Crosby played with an offense that can put points
on the board and force the other team to have
to throw the ball to keep up. So you go
play with the Bengals. Now you're getting after the quarterback
because you know they offense gonna score points, so you
know the opposing offense is gonna have to throw the
ball to be playing. He's never been in Just look
at how good of a player he is. How would

(11:28):
he be with an offense that is forcing the other
team to throw the ball. We may see something we've
never seen before. It's almost like Miles Garrett.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
And there's one team that we know that needs defense
in the AFC no offense, and it's definitely the Cincinnati
Bengals because they couldn't stop nobody last year. There's no
reason why they shouldn't have one more games, especially with
the offense that they had and scoring thirty forty points
a game and you can't find a way to win
a ball game.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah to me, to me that now heart of Bengals
gonna give up two first round picks? Or has the
price dropped? I mean, when you have these type of situations,
the price could have dropped to a first and a
third in the Bengals first round pick is I believe
fourteen and so that that's a fairly that's a good
first round. I don't know if they will do it,

(12:18):
but if I'm Max Crosby, to be honest with you,
I probably would want out. I don't know if I
want to go through a rebuild again. Want to? I
want to try to get somewhere where we can win. Now,
the same thing the Browns did with Miles Garrett that
I want out. I won't to be traded. I won't
do so. I won't that. Oh, we're gonna take the extension,
all right, Thank you guys, appreciate you. So, you know

(12:39):
it could be one of those things. Also, you know
we're gonna PASSI fine and making the Hoves paid edge
rusher in the league until Micah passed him, and so
it could be one of those things also, But bad
business at least, I believe on the Ravens apart Man,
I just don't think you can operate this way. It

(13:00):
just that is just so wild. He puts out a
press release. You know, I'm going with the Ravens. I
appreciate his time to work. My time with the Raiders
is over. Now you gotta oh, I'm back. But this
is what happens when you have a quote, because we
didn't have this when we played the legal tampering period.

(13:20):
So free agency really started on Wednesday, but Monday you
can really agree to deals. But because you can just
agree to him, you cann't sign them for forty eight hours.
The Ravens were able to get out of that. Now,
morally that's the wrong thing to do, but business wise,

(13:41):
it's well within the rule. It's nothing wrong with it.
I just don't believe you should do those type of things.
The Raiders go out and sign Lyndenbaum the Ravens Center,
They signed Nakobe Dean, and they signed all these different dudes,
thinking that Max's pit and his money would be off

(14:01):
the board and now he's back. So now how do
you recalibrate. There's just so many different things that the
Raiders have to do. I don't know at the end
of the day.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
At the end of the day, defensive coordinator, new coaching staff,
Clint Kobyak, they're happy that Max Crawsby's back in the building.
Don't make no mistake about make no mistake about it.
They are ecstatic to have their man back, you know,
in this defense especially you know, did them rebuilding phase

(14:36):
first year a new head coach. So man, he's just
going to do nothing but go out there and Max
is going to do what Max does.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Well. Yeah, man, we're gonna see how this ends up
playing out. Crazy story. Uh, but nothing to surprise you, man,
in the National Football League, just professional sports period, not
just the NFL, professional sports period, nothing should surprise us,
you anybody, the players that are playing. And now I'm
moving forward to teams. We're gonna take a break and

(15:06):
we're gonna be right back and we can really just
go Max Crosby because now what I want to get
into in the next segment, and you can think about this,
which player would you prefer to have Max Crosby or
Trey Hendrickson. That's Plexico Burris. I'm tj Ushmazada. This up

went to the break, Placks, I asked you a question,

(17:28):
who would you rather have? Trey Hendrickson or Max Crosby.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
I mean, just's be honest, man, I mean, when both
of these guys are healthy, they're the top five in
the world their position. You know, everybody knows, you know,
Miles Garrett, TJ. Watt, those guys one, two, and if
you want to put Max and Trey, you know, three,
four and five. I don't believe that anybody would have

(17:56):
an issue with that. I'm anybody, But why you say that?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Man? You what MIAs I'm missing Somuel Anderson, Danail Hunter.
I mean, it's so many.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
I'm just I'm talking based off of what we've seen
in the stats that these guys have been putting up
year and a year out. We're talking about just twenty
twenty three and twenty four man Trait Henderson had seventeen
and a half sacks. I mean he only had four
last year because he only played in seven games. But
when he's healthy, I would put him in the top

(18:28):
five big as rusher in this league. I mean, you
just don't walk out on the football fielding and record
seventeen and a half sacks.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
And back to the treasons.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
So, I mean, and you asked me which player would
would rather have? I mean, you know, I believe Max
just brings that energy to the game into the locker room.
I've been around him and had conversations with him and
got a chance to you know, know him, and it's
just the way that he goes about you know, his

(18:58):
body of work.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
That that that just relentless effort.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Just down and down out, you know, coming off the ball,
making plays, and especially one of you on situations where
you know your team was not a very good football team.
It's hard to go out and to play hard, you
know every Sunday when you know that basically your team
is playing for nothing. But uh, Max, Uh, you know,

(19:25):
just the way that he plays the game, and I've
seen the way that you know, his teammates respond to him,
you know, and meetings and you know, and the way
you know he walks around. You know, he's he's heavily respected,
uh in that in that locker room, you know, by
those group of guys. But me, me just saying, me

(19:47):
saying that, Uh, which player would I take? Trey or Max?
I mean, you can't go wrong with either one of
these guys just just because of the fifth meal fact
though they're the best in the world and what they
do and when they healthy, you know, it's on display
every single weekend to see. Uh. So that's what that's

(20:11):
what I would. I would take Max. He's a little
bit young, I'll beave. Trey Henderson is going to his
tenth season this year. So I'm gonna go with Max Crosby. Man,
I agree with you. I would take Max Crosby as well,
and Trey Henderson. This is no put down to him.
Trey Henderson the hell of a player. Max Crosby is

(20:32):
just a better player.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
And Max Crosby when you look at yes, has he
had seventeen sacks in the career in any season and
it's in any season in his career, No, he hasn't.
But Max Crosby has never played with an offense that
I spoke of earlier that can put points on the board,

(20:54):
that can force the opposing offense to have to throw
the ball so that they can stand to the He's
never been in that situation. But when you look at
the mantle tackles and just we were just talking on
the field, like Max Crosby is getting a ton of

(21:14):
tackles like you don't see defensive ends society. He's getting
tackles almost like he's an off the ball linebacker at
times in the season. And so I'm taking Max Crosby.
And then when you when you start looking at defensive
end again, this is no disrespect to Trade Hendrickson because
he's a really good player. I'm going Miles Garrett, Michael Parsons, TJ. Watt,

(21:37):
Max Crosby, Will Anderson, Danil Hunter. Am I missing somebody
else across on a team? Uh? When when Bosa's healthy,
he's in there. When Nick Bosa, when he's healthy, he's
in there. Now you got somebody like Jared Verus that's coming.

(21:59):
But I would probably put Trey Hendrickson before Jared Versus
where we sit today, and so I'm gonna take seven
guys before I get to Hendrickson. I just feel like
if Max Crosby was on a team that had an
offense that could force that other offense to throw the ball,
we would see something that we hadn't seen out him
a career season. Right. But again, some people say Tomato,

(22:24):
some people say to may Tone, No, there's no wrong
you get either one of these dudes on your team,
You're gonna be better on defense. That absolutely you will
be better on defense. And so that that's my take
on it. Again, no slight to Tray Hendrickson, but ultimately
the Ravens, hey man, this was yep, we're giving you

(22:48):
a zero star review. Man, we bet we back you
getting back getting bad result. Zero star review we're gonna
we might just do this about three four, five times.
The way they went about this, I think it was
the wrong thing to do in their right to do it.
It's just ethically, I don't. I don't think it was
the right thing to do. Wish the boats for both organizations,

(23:10):
especially Max Crosby Hill, and I'm with you. I've met Max,
I've talked with Max. Oh my god, bro, such a
good dude. Man. Yeah, genuinely good dude. Again. Wish you
none but health and prosperity. Man, go kill it this
year and let them know they made a mistake. We

(23:31):
got I loan updates. Let's get to me Illo right
on schedule.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
Nick Bosa is actually in the news, fellas, because the
San Francisco forty nine ers have restructured his contract, creating
seventeen million dollars worth of salary cap space. Running Back
Jerome Ford has agreed to a one year deal with
the Washington Commanders after four seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
The New York Jets are re signing running back and
returner Kena Nuwongu to a one year deal. And how

(24:02):
about this, The Cincinnati Bengals are signing veteran and veteran
the keyword veteran quarterback Josh Johnson, who seemingly has been
around forever with every single team since two thousand and eight.
His chronology Buccaneers, forty nine Ers, the Sacramento Mountain Lions
of the UFL, the Browns, the Bengals, the forty nine Ers,

(24:25):
the Bengals again, the Jets, the Colts, the Builds, the Ravens,
the Giants, the Texans, the Raiders, the San Diego Fleet
of like the XFL UFL, Washington Allions, the La Wildcats
of the XFL, UFL, blah blah blah, forty nine Ers again, Jets, Ravens,
Broncos forty nine Ers, Ravens Commanders again and now back
with the Bengals.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Quite a career. Back to you guys.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Wow, man, that is crazy and I remembered it. He's
played when you know, when you go to the UFL
to XFL, you think it's over, and he got right
back into the Kudos to you, Josh Johnson. May keeps
import your family. Man happy for you. We're gonna do
something special on Cincinnati this year, and you know who
else is trying to do something special? The Minnesota Vikings.

(25:10):
This is going to be very interesting. Uber talented. Everybody
knows what he did in high school, never lost a
game in high school. May be one of the best
athletes in the history of sports. And I say that,
and I'm not playing, I'm not joking. We're not being sarcastic.
When you are drafted in the top ten in two

(25:33):
major sports, you are a hell of an athlete. Kyler
Murray signs with the Minnesota Vikings. We can go so
many ways with this. What do you think, I mean,
what do you do with for Kevin O'Connell.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
I mean, what do you do if you ko I mean,
at this point the ownership GM body is unsure about
the direction that uh jj McCarthy is trending. You have
two of the elite wide receivers and all of football

(26:12):
and you can't get these guys. You can't get these
guys the ball, and uh, you know, I commend you know,
justin Jefferson man what they were going through last year.
Could see that he was just clearly frustrated because of
you know, uh, you know, the with with the way
that that passing game was going.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
The year after they just went out there and looked
it up with Sam Donald, and you watch you watching
Sam Donald go on to Seattle and win the World championship,
and you're sitting over here with JJ McCarthy. But uh,
I think it's a good move for them, uh, you know,
because you just don't know where JJ McCarthy is going
to be, uh, you know, when the season starts. I

(26:54):
said that he would be the opening day starter. I
believe this puts a little more pressure on him to
go out and uh to go out and uh perform
well because we we we know that Colin a Murican
play the quarterback position.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
He's just you know, hasn't made you know, good.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Decisions, you know, delivering the football and you know, costly
turnovers and obviously the uh you know, the knee injury
that he had a few years ago. But I think
that he can go into this offense and really do
some damage, especially with you know, I just we didn't
talk about one of the best duels in all the
football Jordan Addison and and Justin Who.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Do you think ultimately will be the starting quarterback come
September Week one? I believe I believe Kyle Murray.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
I believe I believe Kylin Murray beats him out because
he presents more of a He presents more of a
problem for defensive with the way that he can get
out of the get out of the pocket, and make
plays with his leg So now you're talking about a
guy like Justin Jefferson. He's getting double team almost every play.

(28:02):
So now defensively, you're going to have to make a
decision in what you want to do because you know
that Kyler Murray can get out of the pocket and
make plays with his legs. And I'm not saying that
Kyla mber is a bad quarterback. He's just been playing
on some bad teams in Arizona. He hasn't played well
all the time. But I believe if you surround him
with some weapons, the weapons that they have in Minnesota,

(28:25):
I believe that he's a better quarterback than JJ McCarthy
is right now, and if they want to win, Kyler
Murray is the best option for the Minnesota Vikings going
into this season.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
I partially agree with what you're saying. Partially. Do the
Minnesota Vikings have better weapons than Arizona Cardinals. Yes, But
I'm a point to something. Last season, the Arizona Cardinals
through five games Michael Wilson had six catches for fifty

(29:02):
four yards. Michael Wilson has six catches for fifty four
yards through the first five games. He finished with over
eighty catches for one thousand yards without Kyler Murray. So
he looks like he's not He looks like he's not
a weapon with Kyler Murray. And then when Kyler Murray

(29:22):
go out the game, oh he is aon. He takes off.
He turned into a weapon. And even Marvin Harrison Junior.
I mean he would have really good games with Kyler
Murray and then disappear. And so for me, yes, Kyler Murray,
he's done more in the National Football League than JJ McCarthy. Yes,

(29:44):
Kyler Murray can run it, he can throw it. Again,
I said it at one of the better athletes that
we've ever seen. But does he have the leadership quality?
Does he have that desire to improve? People kind of
glossed over it and was like, what is going That's
a real thing. When the Cardinals put that in his contract,

(30:06):
you have to watch film. Why would they put that
in there? Why they just didn't put that in there
for no reason? There was a reason that was put
into his contract and so are you gonna change those ways?
Are you gonna get off the video games and really
dedicate yourself to football, because they that's what he likes
to do. And so you can't be a high level

(30:30):
NFL quarterback and you playing video games for five hours
a day after practice. You just can't do those things.
And so there's just a lot that goes in. Kyler
Murray played primarily in the gun with the Cardinals. What
does Kevin O'Connell like to do more than anything under center?
He's under center? Is he gonna change up his offense?

(30:52):
Or is Kyler Murray gonna say, Okay, I'm gonna have
to get under center a little more even though I'm
not comfortable with it. How is all of that gonna
mesh into making sure we handled Now that's just Kyler Murray.
Is JJ McCarthy gonna put up a fight? Is he
gonna lay that? I talked to JJ McCarthy this past week.

(31:14):
He ready to compete, He knows it. JJ McCarthy's only
started ten games in the National Football League. I don't
believe that's enough to get a read. And Kevin O'Connell
and the organization feel like, man, we gotta win, And
if Kyler Murray can really lead, I think that's the
biggest Kenny lead men, because you know, when you're getting

(31:36):
that locker room, we know who'll be yes and us.
We know and so that to me is gonna be
the biggest and athletically talent wise, he'll be fine for him.
It be more so off the field. Who is Kyler
Murray the person? Do I want Kyler Murray to be
my quarterback? Do I want to be Jets and Jordan

(31:58):
Addison and have six k just for fifty four yards
after five games like that? That is when I looked
at that, I was like, WHOA that's concerning? Would you
say he got a thousand yards stations with Jakobe Psatt
is his quarterback? Yeah? I mean I was surprised too.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
I was watching one game where Marvin Harrison Junior had
caught six balls in the game and.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
It was like the season, it was like a career high, and.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
It's like, how can you have a guy like Marvin
Harrison Junior be be that talented and he kept six
balls in a football game and it's a career high.
That didn't that the thing? Stats like that do not
make sense. To me because it says more about you know,
the quarterback in the passing game, uh, you know, than

(32:49):
about the player of the wide receiver. But I just
believe that that Ko, Kevin O'Connor has a plan for
Kyler Murray. Maybe you know, they try to two quarterback
systems with you know, different play calls and things of
that nature. But I don't believe that they're gonna bring
Kyler Murray in and Ko is gonna put him under

(33:11):
center and ask him to be a drop back quarterback.
That's not the kind of player that Kyler Murray is.
He needs to be in the shotgun number one because
of basically can't see. Uh so he thrives and has
success when he's running around, getting out of the pocket

(33:33):
and making plays with his leg. I don't believe that
KO is going to, you know, bring him in and
handcuff him and just say, you know, you're gonna run
my style of offense. They're going to have a different
plan for him. When Kyler Murray becomes a starting quarterback, Well,
we got.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
To take a break and when we come back, we're
gonna get into another quarterback. I don't know if he's
gonna be in a competition, but he maybe uh to
a talk of our lawyer signing with the Atlanta Falcons
and uh, we're gonna get into some Team USA in
the World Baseball Classic. That's Plexico Burris. I'm TJ. Hush Manzada.

(34:13):
This up on game. Fox Sports Radio will be right back.

(34:35):
Let us know whose takes you agree with and even
those who you don't. Just search Fox Sports Radio on
YouTube and subscribe. Like I said before the break, and
we got to be really quick with this, the Falcon
signed to a tak of our law to compete with
Michael Pennix. But Michael Pennix is coming off of major
knee injury to uh in is concussion history? Which two

(35:00):
lefties at that? What do you make of it?

Speaker 4 (35:04):
I said, that's the first thing I thought about two leftists.
I think it gives Atlanta Falcons a little security blanket.
I mean you know, Toua hasn't been you know, lights
out in the last you know, a few years. Obviously,
I mean everybody he knows about his concussion history and uh,
you know, with everything he has going on with that.

(35:25):
But if you're the Atlanta Falcons, you just don't know
what Michael Pennix is going to be when the season's
going to start. So, like you said, he's coming off
for another d injury. Uh, he may or may not
be ready for opening day. But at the same time,
you know, bringing to a you know, into the fold. Uh,
if your pinics, you know, you have to be worry of,

(35:47):
you know, him coming in and basically taking your job
if you are healthy. But I think it just gives
him a little bit more security knowing that you know,
they have a starting quarterback you know, on their rossly
regardless of you know, how you know Michael Penix will
be feeling you know, comes September. But I think that

(36:10):
that's the only, uh, you know, reason you can say
that the Falcons will bring them on. I don't think
they plan on making him, you know, the de starter
or the franchise quarterback, but to basically you know, come
in play play well enough if Michael Pennix is not healthy,
they have him, you know, to go to.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
This would be interesting. Kevin Stefanski, the head coach. We
would assume it's gonna be tough for Penis to be ready,
but it's possible. Uh. If you're an accurate quarterback, you
can read defenses, you can play for him and that's tool.
Now will he had a protection with that offensive line,

(36:53):
Will they be able to run the ball effectively? Uh? Yeah, yeah,
and yeah. They got one of the best running backs,
they got one of the better tight ends, got a
good young receivering corps. They have the pieces there. It's
just who's going to be the quarterback. I think they
would prefer Pinnicks. You draft him in the first round.
He's played well. I don't know if he's shown enough

(37:15):
that he is a franchise quarterback. This will be a
very interesting competition. I don't know who wins it. If
Pennix is healthy, I say Penix does, I really do
just he's mobile. I don't think he wants to be mobile,
but he can run the I think he's had now
three three knee surgeries, two in college and now this

(37:39):
one national foot that's concerned that that is concerning. But
let's see. Let's see what happens with them both the
best and let's get into this real quick while we
have some time. The World Baseball Class. You've been watching
that man, the WS, I've been watching a man team USA.
We beat Canada. We snuck in because Italy beat Mexico

(38:04):
by more than I think it was five runs they
needed to.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Yeah, and you're welcome.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
We played the Dominican Yeah, Republic. They just tomorrow, but
yesterday it was like tenn zero. They are making it
so the way they plan and the energy they play with,
major League Baseball needs to adopt some of this. Man,
them boys are having fun fun. This's gonna be a challenge.
But we got you know who we got on the

(38:33):
mount tomorrow, right, Paul Skins. We got Paul Skins on
my list. So let's see if Paul Skin's gonna be
able to quiet their best. But what do you make
of this? I just like the energy that the d
R is playing with. I love that, man. I don't
know why they don't do this in the regular season

(38:53):
in baseball.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
You know what, man, You know what I love about
the Baseball Classic this year is like our guys are
like that. They're they're taking it seriously, you know, to
to be the best group of men, uh to play
baseball in the world. I think it's it says a
lot about us, you know, obviously just coming.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Off of the.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
Off of the Olympics and to see uh, to see
us go out and have success and obviously, man, you
know Korea, I mean Japan, Dominican Republic. I mean, these
are two countries that you know, they they thrive in baseball.
So I think that's the beautiful thing about a man

(39:38):
watching watching our guys take it seriously and going out
and compete and to be the best back, to be
the best baseball team in the world.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Man.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
So kudos to those guys, man. And I think I
think the way they saw the the Olympics, they say,
you know what, we got to go out and represent
our country man and try to get this thing done.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
Yeah, it's uh. I I love it, I really do.
Especially when you you got like a guy like Scuba
pitches the first game, it's like, okay, I'm done. I
got to get ready for the season spring training, and
now he wants to come back because it was so
much fun. The thing is, man, when when you start

(40:20):
playing for your country, it's just it's different. It's different,
the energy that they playing with. Man, And I'm looking,
I'm I know tomorrow, I'm locked in on the TV.
I'm watching it.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
Question, do you think it's bigger to win a world
championship with your team will represent your crutch and win
like a gold medal?

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Wow? Probably the team be just because of the grind
of it. It's such a long season, so many ups
and down, ebbs and flows, injuries. Probably that. But yeah,
that that that's a tough one. That's a good quest question.
Because you're playing with the best of the best with
your team, it's a different thing. Man. But either one

(41:05):
you can win. Either one you good to go. We're
gonna be good to go. In this second hour, we
got cuffs of legends joining us. This up on game
Fox Sports Radio. That's Plexico Burus. I'm TJ Houshmazada. We'll
be right back and make sure y'all ready, cuffs the
legend will be joining us.
