That uh, that's not a defensive line, fellas, That's that

know what's gonna happen if you put all them bodies
in front of an offensive line, other than something's gonna
go bad for the offense on that side of the ball.
How you guys see this? The Rams, they went all
in with Miles Garrett. I don't know what we call

it what Cleveland did. Maybe they they improved, maybe they
got better through it all. But initial reactions, initial responses
to the trade.

Browns won this trade. I really do because as great

gonna give up Miles Garrett, you have to get somebody

could do with your team?

Man, just being the offensive guy and having played against,
you know, a great defensive player, especially up front, I mean,
how do you account for Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald
in the passing game? I mean it's it's it's virtually
impossible because you know it, Miles Garrett earns a double
team almost every play, so so so you lose your
back with chipping him, and you have to make a

decision if you want to double down on Aaron Donald
to try to keep him out of the backfield, and
it changes your whole offensive game plan schematically because listen, man,
we can't afford to, you know, have those you know,
five five steps, seven step dropbacks in the passing game
because we don't have that much time with these two
guys that we're facing, so automatically, you know, we gotta

get we gotta get the ball out of our hands quick,
quick game, and you know, different things like that. But
I'm just saying, been thinking about the whole Aaron Donald
coming out of retirement. I believe every team in the NFC,
the conference and especially division. Everybody saying, Aaron Donald, please
don't come out of retirement, because there's.

No answer for that. It's just simply.

Not I'm thinking that I'm a good historian up this game,
but I can't remember two guys of such dominance, two
time defensive players of the Year that have dominated their
positions to play on the same front. I go back
to Kevin Green and Greg Lloyd OC and the straight hand,

and you can go down the list and try to
put together two guys on a defensive defensive line that
have been here, an't. I don't believe it's ever happened.
I just don't remember two guys like that playing together.

unhappy being in Cleveland, and he understood the value of

You know, he may have five six years of dominant
football left film. But if the Cleveland Browns do happen
to get it right, which they haven't been able to
do for two or three decades outside of Miles Garrett
and draft well and have these guys panning out to

or three years will move from this trade and see
who if La or the Cleveland Browns, which one of

away your expectations when you traded away the undeniable, undisputed
face of your franchise and of your town, your city,

would have to say that he is probably underpaid. How

his career in Tampa, back to back Pro Bowl seasons,
two division titles. He has played very well for this team.
How do you see this is the deadline? Is it
leverage for for for Baker Mayfield or is this something
that could blow up in his face as he's taking

Fellas, Baker is underpaid right now when you look at
what quarterbacks are making. Thirty million a year and so,
and he's been underpaid the last couple of years. But
at the end of the day, the Tampa Bay Bucks
are saying, hmm, we didn't make the playoffs last year.
We don't know how this season is going to go.
Do we want to like and I don't know, and

I don't know what Baker wants, but you would assume
at least forty eight to fifty two minimum do we
want to pay Baker Mayfield that amount of money and
possibly not make the playoffs. So I believe the Bucks
are gonna wait to see what happens. They're gonna because

you know, Baker said, if we don't sign by training camp,
I'm not signing a deal. He's willing to bet on himself,
and I believe the Bucks are willing to bet on
themselves that, Okay, we're gonna call your bluff because at
the end of the day, the Pittsburgh Steelers are pretty
much the only team that will have a good enough

season where they won't be able to draft high and
they may not have a future quarterback on that roster.
Where is he gonna go That's gonna give him that
type of money in free agency?

It all comes down to tell them me, bucket is
if they will if they see Baker Millfield as the
future and being a franchise quarterback. But forty eight to
fifty million, fifty million dollars a year, when you're saying
Bacon Mayfield, I just don't believe the front office is
saying that, you know, we want to retain Baker Mayfield,
but not at that dollar. I mean, forty eight to

of a stretch for me because that is like top
five quarterback money. It's not fifty million dollars a year.

you gotta better yourself because for number one, no Mike Evans,
number two no Chris Godwin. So offensively, who are these
guys that Baker Millers, Baker Mayfield is going to be
able to throw to to basically prove his point that

see him as the franchise quarterback for the next five, six,
seven years for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

get you one hundred and ten million dollars. It's definitely
a new day and age in the NFL as far

as the wide receivers concerned, because thirty five catches at
our day was like the third down receiver coming in

there has to be more expectations for him, you know,
landing his contract and with Golden I believe that Green
Bay wants a three wide receiver set anyway, So all

It's going to come down to Jordan Love and can
they protect them and is he going to be that
elite talent that we see in him, you know, consistently

the number one question about this offense. Can Christian watch

believe he can, but he just has to go out
and prove it. And I think that that the Green

know what's gonna happen if you put all them bodies
in front of an offensive line, other than something's gonna
go bad for the offense on that side of the ball.
How you guys see this? The Rams, they went all
in with Miles Garrett. I don't know what we call

it what Cleveland did. Maybe they they improved, maybe they
got better through it all. But initial reactions, initial responses
to the trade.

do to get their team and their organization the best
chance possible. Cleveland on the underhand, on the other hand.

On the other hand, man, I really think the Cleveland
Browns won this trade. I really do because as great
as Miles Garrett is, Jared Versus a very good.

Really Now, Cleveland has done a pretty good job drafting.
They got a first, a second, and the third. If
two of those picks just turns out to be really
good players, I would say they've won it. Because Miles
Garrett is thirty. He gonna give you three to four
really good years, maybe five. Jared Versus probably has at
least eight really good years left in his career at least.

And you just got to hit on these draft picks.
The draft picks are always unknown. It's always the unknown.
That first round pick gonna be late. But if you're
gonna give up Miles Garrett, you have to get somebody
in return who's pretty good, which they did in first
and you get a first, a second, and a third,
And so I couldn't say I would say it's a

great trade for both teams. But what the Rams are
doing and have done, man, it's crazy super Bowl in LA.
They going all out for it, And for Aaron Donald
to say it has me thinking.

in terms of what a defensive line of this caliber
could do with your team?

Man, just being the offensive guy and having played against,
you know, a great defensive player, especially up front, I mean,
how do you account for Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald
in the passing game? I mean it's it's it's virtually
impossible because you know it, Miles Garrett earns a double
team almost every play, so so so you lose your
back with chipping him, and you have to make a

decision if you want to double down on Aaron Donald
to try to keep him out of the backfield, and
it changes your whole offensive game plan schematically because listen, man,
we can't afford to, you know, have those you know,
five five steps, seven step dropbacks in the passing game
because we don't have that much time with these two
guys that we're facing, so automatically, you know, we gotta

get we gotta get the ball out of our hands quick,
quick game, and you know, different things like that. But
I'm just saying, been thinking about the whole Aaron Donald
coming out of retirement. I believe every team in the NFC,
the conference and especially division. Everybody saying, Aaron Donald, please
don't come out of retirement, because there's.

Not I'm thinking that I'm a good historian up this game,
but I can't remember two guys of such dominance, two
time defensive players of the Year that have dominated their
positions to play on the same front. I go back

put together two guys on a defensive defensive line that
have been here, an't. I don't believe it's ever happened.
I just don't remember two guys like that playing together.

here's what I feel. The series is over. Knicks are

up to oh they've won thirteen straight playoff games, and
now they go home to building, well, to the building
that hasn't hosted a finals game since nineteen ninety nine.
Day what we were still in college down oh two
going into that environment, Cook the Spurs, they are done.

Finish Knicks in five. All right, this is the last segment.
We're setting the table for hour two. But going into
this next hour, the Knicks they were they're up to oh.
They they were seemingly going to lose. There was a
fourteen point lead, but they still ended up winning by one. Fellas,

just to get this conversation started before we bring cuffs
in plex, you played in New York City. Yeah, we'll
start with you. What do you think this means for
the city? Coming into the Garden and it hasn't been
a game there since nineteen ninety nine.
Speaker 7 (39:13):
Man, man, it's absolute friends. It's absolute frenzy out here
on the on the East Coast for us especially you know,
in the Tri State area. I've been to a Eastern
Conference Finals at the Garden, but I will be in
attendance of Game three at MSG because I've never been
to an NBA Finals with the Knicks playing in it,
so I can't imagine what the Madison Square Garden is

going to be like for Game three. Nobody saw the
Knicks going into San Antonio and coming out to OH.
I basically think that after watching these two games the Spurs,
I'm not going to be able to find a way
to get out of this series world champion. So it's
been a delight to watch Jalen Brunson and his crew
(39:57):
go about their work the way that they have. It
just seems like they just can score from everywhere, from
every angle, and they have. And the Spurs are on
the ropes two to Ozero going into the Garden. I
just hope it's not a sweep. You said Game.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Five five Spurs and five they might.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
Still, ma'am.
Speaker 7 (40:16):
The sweep is on the table, and I couldn't imagine
the Knicks sweeping the Saniel San Antonio Spurs for the
last three series to win the World Championship.
Speaker 4 (40:25):
It would be amazing, so much to talk about. TJ.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
Get a quick thought on it before we get to
the break. But obviously this is just an appetizer for
the main course of our two.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
What of just a quick thought going in the hour.

Two the Spurs, they just got to play better down
the stretch man. Yesterday last night they had the game
was there to be one? Game one? The game was
there to be one. They're not finishing down the stretch.
Weinby is playing a good game, but he can play better, Shay.

They gotta make this a series eight. They don't win
game three day getting swept, and so we will see
what happens on Monday.
