com the way tire buying should be. We got a
(01:56):
lot to get to, but we're going to reset the show.
Yesterday was a big, big game, a big pivotal game,
uh in the NBA Finals, and I want to continue
to have that conversation with everything that is going on, guys,
and we have a lot to get to. We'll we'll
(02:16):
we'll touch on some different sports this different topics this
this hour, but let's revisit the NBA and just kind
of discuss where we're at with the NBA Finals and
and just kind of you know, the thoughts and opinions
coming out of it. It obviously wasn't the most ideal
(02:39):
of finals matchups. I mean, you got Denver versus Miami,
which aren't bad markets at all, they're actually pretty nice markets.
But it's not like A it's not like US A
Boston Celtics versus an LA Lakers type of final.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
And so.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
So looking for what what would you see being the
silver lining coming out of a A finals of this
this matchup and and and you know, obviously it's looking
like it's clear that that Denver is the better team
and it's kind of going to close out this series
at some point.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
How you guys feel about this series so far? What?
Speaker 3 (03:23):
What?
Speaker 1 (03:24):
What's your take on it? I mean I said, you know,
I was, I was a little upset. I was in
the feelings. I said, I wasn't gonna watch the finals,
but I've been watching. I just love sports. You know,
once Denver, once they swell like, I'm not going to
tune in. But to Lakers, it's a Denver. As what
(03:45):
we said in the first first segment, Man, Denver Nuggets
are a hell of a basketball team. It's just nowhere
around it. They don't have a weakness. They don't have
a weakness, and there perceived weakness would be less attack
Joker and Jamal Murray and a pick and roll try
(04:05):
to wear them out. But as big as Joker is,
he in great shape.
Speaker 7 (04:11):
Man.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
He gets up and down the court. He'll get a reband,
He'll run a fast break. He plays defense. He may
not be the fleetest afoot, but he plays defense. He
knows how to position his body in angles. The Denver Nuggets,
they legitimately have a shot the next five years of
winning a championship every single year because the core of
(04:35):
their players are young. They got a head coach that
understands how we want to play basketball. Like, when they're
locked in, they gonna get a good shot every time
down the court. When they're locked in, whether the shot
goes in or not, they are going to get a
not a good shot, They're gonna get a great shot
every single time. Because when your best two players are unselfish,
(04:58):
Jerker want to pass the ball, Mortan wants shot. When
they're unselfish, everybody on the team knows it can be
me any given night. Because our best players are willing
to give us this opportunity. They not so much an
arrested oh let me just jack up shots. They want
to get everybody involved and when you're a role player,
that makes you feel good.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
There are so many silver linings to this series.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Man, Love La Ball.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
When you started off, one of the first things that
jumps out to me is that Jamal Murray missed two
years of basketball to acl that he's to a back end.
I think believe it was twenty twenty one. I was
watching the game when he tore and for him to
come back and have this effect on the basketball game
(05:45):
and another playoffs is something to watch. And the other
silver lining to it is that the joker, he's almost
has a triple double. Like in the first quarter of
the basketball game, he has like eight points, nine rebounds,
and seven assists, and it's the first quarter and you're
(06:07):
saying yourself, man, he's gonna have a triple double about
halftime and he said, he said, he's completely unselfish. Guys
are getting open shots, and everybody just playing at an
ultimately hogh confidence of being able to make plays. They
put every player on the floor in a situation to
be able to make plays. And the head coach, Man,
(06:28):
I think one of the things that jump off the
page to me is that he's been able to make
incredible adjustments. Every time that they put Strauss in the game,
they run a pick and roll on him to so
Trouse can guard Jamal Murray. And everybody knows that that
is not a matchup that this guy can take. And
(06:50):
I'm just surprised that we all are becoming fans of
how great of how good damn out of Bayo is
and the Joker will get the ball free throw line
extended and he will take.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Him one on one, and the Miami Heat.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
For pride reasons or whatever they think they have Bama's
a great defender, and he takes him one on one and.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
The ball never hits the ball. It's never a swish.
He just puts the ball up on the rim and
it always seems to roll in. Either This guy is
extremely intelligent because he never makes a switch.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
He just puts the ball up on the rim with
this spin on it. It hits like the front of
the rim on the side of the room, touching the
backboard and the rows in. And I said this during
the Los Angeles Lakers series, is that we are learning
how highly skilled the Joker is of a basketball player,
because he makes great athletes who are better than him athletically,
(07:56):
look normal, look look like they're not even an NBA players.
And one of my favorite interviews was him, and they
asked me, said, Joko, why are you so good? He said,
I don't know. He said, I'm fat, I'm slow, and
I can't jump. But he continues to just play as
(08:19):
the best player on the planet man, and it's just
impresses the watch the way that he goes about it,
and he does it consistently, night in and night out.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Does Nicola Djokis deserve to be in the conversation of
greatest big man in the game?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (08:41):
My buddy Fred Taylor asked me this stuff the other day.
He said, would you take Nicola Jokers or a Keem
olajah one?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Nah?
Speaker 3 (08:52):
I think Nicola has more skill. I think he I
think he has all right, So so all right, no, hard,
this one's hard.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
It's not hard.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
It's hard man because his game, the range of his
game exceeds and goes beyond.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
But what a Keem Elijah want?
Speaker 8 (09:10):
You got to sit there laughing, started, I'm looking at
the team just started Houston Rockers, Robert Lory, Vernon, Maxwell
Oldis Thorp, Mario Ellie, Sam.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Say, Kenny Smith, you never had a Keem Elijahan never
needed to be anything else other than a dominant player
down below.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
And the game then in the game now, I get you.
The game now is a versatile big man, and so
a Keem didn't have to step out and shoot threes,
He didn't have to face up from twenty twenty feet out.
It was a different game back then than what it
(09:53):
is now. With his footwork and it's touch, he would
have been able to do exactly what Joker is doing now.
He just didn't have to do it because the game
is different now.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
To answer your question, to do everything he's doing right
now in that era of I believe.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
So well, he wouldn't have been in on a perimeter
as much. It would have been down low like the
big man back then was. But would he have adapted.
The great players adapt and perform in any eraror and
that's my They're going to perform. They're great players for
a reason. They're going to adapt with the times and
they're going to perform. Joker is on his way to
(10:34):
cementing himself is one of the best big men, best
players in NBA history. He's early in his career and
so he will be mentioned with Hakeem Olajuans and Shacks
and those guys. Hell, his name will be mentioned, but
he has so far to go. But to say, would
(10:55):
you take him over a Keem Olajuan b he would
have adjusted. He would have adjusted that. That's a fact.
His his touch, he had a soft touch around the basket,
just like Joker. He would have easily adapted. You're over
Shaquille O'Neill.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Nah, if you're starting a franchise knowing what you know now,
Shaquille O'Neill in his prime, uh uh, Nicola Joe in
his prime?
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Right now? Who do you select to start your franchise with?
With Shack athleticism, Shaq would have got a dunk every
time like he was doing back then. But everything sustain
climate of the NBA athletic enough to play on the
perimeter defensively, he wasn't shooting it out there. But huh
(11:46):
couldn't shoot free throws. Jo doesn't have the Joker doesn't
have that weakness you put him on. I can't. Who's
gonna stop Shock from getting to the basket.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
If you have nobody, If you have if you have Shack,
Tim Duncan Joel Embiid and Nicola Jokic available for draft
in the same exact draft with all the elements that
we all know, who are you taking out of those?
Speaker 4 (12:14):
To the Jokers defense? Nobody knew how good this guy
was going to be.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
But knowing what we know right now, in fact that
he's being compared to Shack and Tim Duncan right now
shows you how far he's come. But don't the Joker
is an animal. He the best player in the NBA
right now, him or Yiannis take your pa.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Can we say, can we say that any of those
other week Can we say any of those other players
were the best players in the NBA at any point
in time?
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Yes, Shack was the best player shot point in time.
Tim Duncan was the best. Yes, Yes, I don't know
about the best. Who is better than? Show how many
MVPs Kobe, come on, man was better than at the
point in time? But vy, I don't know when they
(13:06):
they won m v p s. Did he get one?
I don't know that he got an m v P.
Shack should have been Shack should have more than one.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
Shaq was never the best player in the NBA, bro
most dominant, most.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Dominant, Yes, dominant, Yeah, best, best. No, he's never, he's never.
You were never.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
You were never going to say okay, so he got one.
He got shack Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan was dope too,
like like Tim Duncan, most like he was like Elijah
one like for Chips. I mean, those those guys together,
I'll say at one point in time, all three of
them were the most dominant player.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Their parents say that Shaq was never the best player
in the NBA, the best player in the league. No,
I can't do that. I can't do that. I can
one of the thirty, one of the most rebounds the game.
Yeah he was, Yeah he was no way, Yeah, but
we was in their debate.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Is there debate as to who is the best basketball
player in the NBA right now?
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Absolutely? And would it be Joel? I mean it's it's
a three man race every year now. Joel beat himself
came out and put on Twitter that the Joker should
have won the m v P because he should have.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
No.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
I mean, when you talk the best player, y'all, like
that guy in Milwaukee don't play basketball. No, no, no, no,
he I did conclusion that Joker the best player in
the NBA got recency bias because Walda they got eliminated
(14:45):
in the first round, trying to clown And now now
we see how great of a player the Joker is.
Now now y'all hate because they swept the Lakers. No, no, no, no, no,
I'm giving his credit, buddy, can he he a monster? Davis?
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Anthony Davis has been considered to be one of the
most dominant players when he's healthy.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
They got sweat.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Listen Lebron just withoot Lebron James after If.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Y'all gonna act like if Jannis was playing right now,
he'd be doing the same thing, averaging thirty five twenty rebounds,
probably five or six assists every game.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
That's what Janni's is gonna give you. But Jns isn't
a true big man. He's not a true big man.
What you mean, not a true big man. He don't
shoot jump shots, he's straight to the rack. Yeah, but
he's not a true big man like Joker is a
true big man. What do they what do they list?
What do they list Jannis at a power forward? What
they list Joker at center? I'm saying, big man. All
(15:48):
I'm saying is this you said who's the best player?
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Do you do you know that? Players?
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Do you know the NBA players get selected for the
NBA All Star Game by the position that they're in.
So Steph Curry is not a point guard, he's a
shooting guard, and they make the NBA All Star Team
based off of the Kevin Durant League. Kevin Durant is
(16:14):
a small forward, but in the game of basketball, he's
basically a point the point guard and a shooting guard.
But he's a small forward on paper, and to Gianna's credit,
I believe he's listed.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
As a power forward. So for his whole career, he's
going to be the best power forward in basketball if
he was a small forward. But when we don't say
who's the best player, nobody nobody goes by position. If
you if you pull, when you say you are the
best players, you all hundred are going to have Giannis
(16:50):
and Joker at the top all hundred.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
And you can flip or fly who you have one
or two, But one or two would be those runs.
Not today, well not today, my friend Lebron probably right now.
Top top thirty, Top thirty seven, top thirty thirty. Oh,
let's take a quick break, said top thirty seven.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Seven Top thirty. Hey, uh, you could put seven guys
in front of Lebron right now. We can put you
on Friday. We can put you what he died I
show boys. Man, Come on, dog, I know, I know.
We're gonna take a quick frank.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
That's Cap. That's Cat right there all the way, Cap.
I'm just what you said, right, I just yeah, yeah,
I just want to irritate you. That's that's now, Lebron,

Low and Crown.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
How many? How many? How many dollarge you charging per word?
Speaker 10 (19:58):
I Loo, It's priceless, Chris, It's so precious that it
cannot be quantified financially, especially when the three review will participate,
which is going to be the case coming up, especially you, LeVar,
because The Wall Street Journal reported today the PGA Tour
Commissioner j Monaghan told PGA Tour employees that the PGA
(20:20):
merged with the Live Tour this week because it could
not financially afford to compete with the Live Tour's backer,
the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. The Journal reported Monahan
told the employees the PGA had already spent fifty million
dollars in Live Tool related legal fees and had dipped
into its reserves to the tune of one hundred million
dollars for increased purses and bonuses. A PGA Tour spokesperson
(20:44):
said in a statement to ESPN today. Quote to characterize
that this agreement was made due to litigation costs and
other use of reserves is an oversimplification unquote. Here to
translate that into reality and plain English. New PGA Tour
reality spokesperson and translator LeVar Arrington.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Hello, everyone here today, I would just like to address
the announcement that has taken place recently.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
With the PGA and Live Tour merger. The reason why
the PGA Tour has.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Made this very crucial and critical decision to merge with
people we don't like, well, it basically comes down to
we couldn't afford to fight them, and I hope you
guys can understand that and are still okay with being
American patriots supporting the PGA Tour.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
I will not be opening up the floor for any
questions further. You just have to understand that they have
an endless amount of resources and we do not.
Speaker 11 (22:00):
That was so dead on. I can even picture you
wearing a bow tie.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
There you go.
Speaker 10 (22:04):
As we speak. We also have a quiz coming up
for the three of you in just a moment. One
major League baseball game going on right now in Detroit,
the Tigers in Arizona Diamondbacks scoreless in the top of
the second. Now, in auto racing, the one hundredth anniversary
edition of the world famous twenty four Hours of Lamon's
is getting underway today, and you'll never guess who had
(22:27):
the honor of making the announcement commanding the drivers to
start their engines. I'm gonna play it for you, guys,
and you're gonna guess who this is. Here we go listen.
So that's gentlemen, start your engines.
Speaker 11 (22:43):
In French? Who was that giving the command line?
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Now?
Speaker 10 (22:47):
Massy Linel Massey, the less successful cousin of Lionel Messi.
Speaker 11 (22:53):
All right, that's one guest.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Now, okay, Linos from round a way, I know Lionel.
Speaker 11 (22:58):
Let me Lionel Richie, Yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Line.
Speaker 11 (23:04):
All right? You two want to weigh in that one?
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Who that was? Man? I have no idea.
Speaker 11 (23:10):
I'll give you a hint.
Speaker 10 (23:11):
Twenty four hours of Lemons la Mons Athletes.
Speaker 11 (23:17):
Okay, Nope, nope, got it. Okay, I'm gonna play for
you one more time.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Okay, is that Arnold Swarzenegger?
Speaker 11 (23:28):
All right?
Speaker 1 (23:28):
It was? I thought it was Ivan Dragon?
Speaker 11 (23:35):
All right?
Speaker 1 (23:35):
All worthy?
Speaker 10 (23:36):
Guesses that was actually Lebron James. At the four hours of.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
That, I told you it was Lionel. That's that's his.
That's his. When I speak like that, that's just say.
Do you know you have me with that one? So love?
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Why did we not pick up on the lay when
when when you were giving us lay I'm on, TJ, dang,
come on, yeah, TJ.
Speaker 11 (24:04):
You're supposed to get that packing up on stuff like
that all the time.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Well, you was laying it down for us to pick
it up. We just didn't pick it up. You know,
my wife did that to me one time. We was
leaving the ivy. They said, Lebron James, Lebron Lebron. I said,
why do you always be doing that? Why you saying that?
And she pointed up like she pointed up to the
staff behind my shoulder. And I looked up and it
(24:30):
was Lebron James staying right there over my shoulder.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
I said, hi, Lebron James. And yeah, he patted me
on my shoulder like I was a kid. He pat
you on your head. Now talking about he top thirty
pat on my head. He won't he won't get that
hand back.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
I'll tell you I'm still a too, I'll remove that
hand from his body and be in my car before
you realized it was.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Not the top ten though.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
Man, the PJ tore this little thing up the out
the Public Investment Group, heyne a billion in assets. We

Speaker 1 (26:11):
This is Price. This is Priest. Okay, let's go, let's go.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Yeah, this is Priest.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
All right.
Speaker 7 (26:19):
Yeah, So I was sixth grade, last week of school
science class. Comes walk into the class. Soom Peter says,
she's going to be doing a science experiment that involves fire,
baking soda, sand, and rubbing alcohol. Didn't really think too
much of it because I'm a kid and.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Science is cool.
Speaker 7 (26:38):
And she said we need to go outside to do this.
So we all go outside. We sit down in a
semi circle, pretty far from the teacher, and literally the
next thing note it was like a bomb went off
and I was immediately brushed ICU, underwent multiple surgeries and
(26:58):
had a fifty percent chance to survive, and over the
next couple of days that I was in the hospital,
that's where I found my burn moment.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Now, what does a burn moment mean?
Speaker 3 (27:10):
So obviously the teacher's experiment went horribly wrong.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
You get burned horribly bad with.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
A percentage chance a fifty percent chance of surviving this accident,
What does a burn moment mean in that moment?
Speaker 7 (27:27):
Priests, Yeah, a burn moment is just a super hard
time that you had to fight to overcome that got
you to where you are at today. For instance, I'm
a competitive golfer and I had my family go get
my putters. Went about a couple of days into the
hospital feeling really down, and they brought me my putter,
(27:49):
and I would put three balls into a glass jar,
and slowly but.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Surely that started putting.
Speaker 7 (27:55):
In the smile my face. And that's when I said,
this is my burn moment.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
So how accurate is that it says that you recently
participated in the PGA qualifying round for the farm was
open and you shot a plus one in the back nine.
Are you burning us with this information? Or is this accurate?
Speaker 7 (28:15):
That's that's accurate? Was that was a couple of years ago.
Speaker 6 (28:20):
I balled out on that back nine?
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Oh you balled out?
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Huh?
Speaker 6 (28:24):
I was young. I was like fifteenth.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Well you're still it was only a couple of years
ago that right now, But act like you old now.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
He acted like he twenty nine years old, you know,
and the graduated college.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
But yeah, man, to been what you have been through,
to go through and to be.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
A phenomenal golfer, I'm going to play golf of the
after the show but I don't think i've ever you know,
shot a plus one on any front or back nine.
So I got to say, that's pretty impressive, man, if
you can put three balls in the in the in
the in the glass. So I gotta take your word
for it that you are pretty good golfer.
Speaker 7 (29:09):
Yeah, I'll consider myself pretty good.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
I like, how long did you believe the.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Go ahead? Say that again, Phoenix, And.
Speaker 6 (29:24):
I was saying, yeah, that was from the pro teas too.
Oh really, yeah, this ain't from like the Red Lady T.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
I thought he was playing from the senior Teas.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
Went way back, Like, well, let's get.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Let's get back to the M M A world because
I know you guys are locked in on what's going
on and what's gonna happen at Belatour, more specifically Belatour
two ninety seven in Chicago. Tell us about that. You
got some news about the event? Let us know.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Yeah, so Dune sixteenth in Chicago, you got Patricio pitt
bull facing Sergio Pettis, who is the current hundred and
thirty five towns Belleport.
Speaker 7 (30:10):
Champ and Patricio pitt Bulls going for his third world title.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
This is history.
Speaker 7 (30:17):
No one has attempted this or achieved this before mixed
martial arts.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
And yeah, so in MMA you have to train certain
things such as striking and wrestling and jiu jitsu. And
so Sergio Pettis, who's the champ, had a longtime coach
by the name of Daniel Wanderlay and Daniel coaching for
over eight years. And so now all of a sudden
he's picked up, he's left Sergio Pettis, and now he
(30:45):
is in his opponent's corner for this fight this week.
Put it to you this way. Have you ever seen
the movie Karate Kid Walks Off?
Speaker 1 (30:57):
The original? I have just watch it, he said, I
just watched it. It came up nineteen eighty four.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
It's been remastered for y'all to see it. Colors are
a lot brighter and more vibrant all that.
Speaker 6 (31:12):
Yeah. So, yeah, you have mister Miyagi, who's who's training
Daniel to fight Johnny. So imagine mister Miyagi, after eight
years of training, Daniel just picks up, goes over the
Johnny side and starts training him to fight Daniel.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
So that it's so bad blood on this one. Hey,
So do you guys follow the UFC.
Speaker 6 (31:34):
Of course.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah. So so who do you think is gonna win to.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
Fight tonight between Amanda Noonas and Irene Aldona.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
Man, that's he.
Speaker 7 (31:45):
That's what I always gotta go with the underdog out Donna.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
No, man, you gotta go with everybody know that. Man,
She toughes nails, don't no LeVar.
Speaker 7 (31:58):

is news is in south, meaning her like the right
hand is forward.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Man, we know we.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Follow.
Speaker 6 (32:11):
I gotta I gotta.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Make you's got to make sure stretch go ahead.
Speaker 7 (32:19):
She keeps her she keeps her right hand pretty low. Now,
Donna has a beautiful lest.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Text beautiful, a beautiful left. Its beautiful.
Speaker 6 (32:29):
She dropped so many people pretty clip news.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
All right, man, I'm going what's your take on Phoenix?
Speaker 6 (32:41):
I mean, come on, a man, in is a goat.
She's the greatest of all. This is literally her twelfth
title fight. You know she's been there, she's done that.
She knows what the pressure is of a mega fight
like this man, And I say one thing she does
very well.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
She just adapts.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
So if it's not going too well in the first,
the second round, man, she could she can really turn
it around.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
So that's the greatest of all times. So she's saying
that she was better than around.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
The about field set. Yes, I mean you got to
think about now, and uh, the level of competition has
skyrocketed since.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
I okay, I want to see that rematch with Cyboard,
I really do. She was a beast Shane right there.
Speaker 6 (33:33):
I know, and that wasn't the best Chris Cyborg either
was not.
