uh in the NBA Finals, and I want to continue
to have that conversation with everything that is going on, guys,

of discuss where we're at with the NBA Finals and
and just kind of you know, the thoughts and opinions
coming out of it. It obviously wasn't the most ideal

of finals matchups. I mean, you got Denver versus Miami,
which aren't bad markets at all, they're actually pretty nice markets.
But it's not like A it's not like US A
Boston Celtics versus an LA Lakers type of final.

So looking for what what would you see being the
silver lining coming out of a A finals of this
this matchup and and and you know, obviously it's looking
like it's clear that that Denver is the better team
and it's kind of going to close out this series
at some point.

What's your take on it? I mean I said, you know,
I was, I was a little upset. I was in
the feelings. I said, I wasn't gonna watch the finals,
but I've been watching. I just love sports. You know,
once Denver, once they swell like, I'm not going to
tune in. But to Lakers, it's a Denver. As what

we said in the first first segment, Man, Denver Nuggets
are a hell of a basketball team. It's just nowhere
around it. They don't have a weakness. They don't have
a weakness, and there perceived weakness would be less attack
Joker and Jamal Murray and a pick and roll try

to wear them out. But as big as Joker is,
he in great shape.

He gets up and down the court. He'll get a reband,
He'll run a fast break. He plays defense. He may
not be the fleetest afoot, but he plays defense. He
knows how to position his body in angles. The Denver Nuggets,
they legitimately have a shot the next five years of
winning a championship every single year because the core of

their players are young. They got a head coach that
understands how we want to play basketball. Like, when they're
locked in, they gonna get a good shot every time
down the court. When they're locked in, whether the shot
goes in or not, they are going to get a
not a good shot, They're gonna get a great shot
every single time. Because when your best two players are unselfish,

Jerker want to pass the ball, Mortan wants shot. When
they're unselfish, everybody on the team knows it can be
me any given night. Because our best players are willing
to give us this opportunity. They not so much an
arrested oh let me just jack up shots. They want
to get everybody involved and when you're a role player,
that makes you feel good.

When you started off, one of the first things that
jumps out to me is that Jamal Murray missed two
years of basketball to acl that he's to a back end.
I think believe it was twenty twenty one. I was
watching the game when he tore and for him to
come back and have this effect on the basketball game

and another playoffs is something to watch. And the other
silver lining to it is that the joker, he's almost
has a triple double. Like in the first quarter of
the basketball game, he has like eight points, nine rebounds,
and seven assists, and it's the first quarter and you're

saying yourself, man, he's gonna have a triple double about
halftime and he said, he said, he's completely unselfish. Guys
are getting open shots, and everybody just playing at an
ultimately hogh confidence of being able to make plays. They
put every player on the floor in a situation to
be able to make plays. And the head coach, Man,

I think one of the things that jump off the
page to me is that he's been able to make
incredible adjustments. Every time that they put Strauss in the game,
they run a pick and roll on him to so
Trouse can guard Jamal Murray. And everybody knows that that
is not a matchup that this guy can take. And

I'm just surprised that we all are becoming fans of
how great of how good damn out of Bayo is
and the Joker will get the ball free throw line
extended and he will take.

how highly skilled the Joker is of a basketball player,

And one of my favorite interviews was him, and they
asked me, said, Joko, why are you so good? He said,
I don't know. He said, I'm fat, I'm slow, and
I can't jump. But he continues to just play as

impresses the watch the way that he goes about it,
and he does it consistently, night in and night out.

Does Nicola Djokis deserve to be in the conversation of
greatest big man in the game?

cementing himself is one of the best big men, best
players in NBA history. He's early in his career and
so he will be mentioned with Hakeem Olajuans and Shacks

have adjusted. He would have adjusted that. That's a fact.
His his touch, he had a soft touch around the basket,
just like Joker. He would have easily adapted. You're over

that this agreement was made due to litigation costs and

one thing we love here at up on Game is
a great story that goes along with our talent and
the guys that are doing what they're doing. Tell us
the bat background a burn Factory and where did it
all come from?

Yeah, LeVar, So I was in sixth grade.
Speaker 7 (26:08):
It was the last week of school science and.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
This is Price. This is Priest. Okay, let's go, let's go.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Yeah, this is Priest.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
All right.
Speaker 7 (26:19):
Yeah, So I was sixth grade, last week of school
science class. Comes walk into the class. Soom Peter says,
she's going to be doing a science experiment that involves fire,
baking soda, sand, and rubbing alcohol. Didn't really think too
much of it because I'm a kid and.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Science is cool.
Speaker 7 (26:38):
And she said we need to go outside to do this.
So we all go outside. We sit down in a
semi circle, pretty far from the teacher, and literally the
next thing note it was like a bomb went off
and I was immediately brushed ICU, underwent multiple surgeries and

had a fifty percent chance to survive, and over the
next couple of days that I was in the hospital,
that's where I found my burn moment.

Now, what does a burn moment mean?

So obviously the teacher's experiment went horribly wrong.

You get burned horribly bad with.

A percentage chance a fifty percent chance of surviving this accident,
What does a burn moment mean in that moment?

Priests, Yeah, a burn moment is just a super hard
time that you had to fight to overcome that got

of discuss where we're at with the NBA Finals and
and just kind of you know, the thoughts and opinions
coming out of it. It obviously wasn't the most ideal

of finals matchups. I mean, you got Denver versus Miami,
which aren't bad markets at all, they're actually pretty nice markets.
But it's not like A it's not like US A
Boston Celtics versus an LA Lakers type of final.

So looking for what what would you see being the
silver lining coming out of a A finals of this
this matchup and and and you know, obviously it's looking
like it's clear that that Denver is the better team
and it's kind of going to close out this series
at some point.

What's your take on it? I mean I said, you know,
I was, I was a little upset. I was in
the feelings. I said, I wasn't gonna watch the finals,
but I've been watching. I just love sports. You know,
once Denver, once they swell like, I'm not going to
tune in. But to Lakers, it's a Denver. As what

we said in the first first segment, Man, Denver Nuggets
are a hell of a basketball team. It's just nowhere
around it. They don't have a weakness. They don't have
a weakness, and there perceived weakness would be less attack
Joker and Jamal Murray and a pick and roll try
(04:05):
to wear them out. But as big as Joker is,
he in great shape.
Speaker 7 (04:11):
Man.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
He gets up and down the court. He'll get a reband,
He'll run a fast break. He plays defense. He may
not be the fleetest afoot, but he plays defense. He
knows how to position his body in angles. The Denver Nuggets,
they legitimately have a shot the next five years of
winning a championship every single year because the core of

their players are young. They got a head coach that
understands how we want to play basketball. Like, when they're
locked in, they gonna get a good shot every time
down the court. When they're locked in, whether the shot
goes in or not, they are going to get a
not a good shot, They're gonna get a great shot
every single time. Because when your best two players are unselfish,

Jerker want to pass the ball, Mortan wants shot. When
they're unselfish, everybody on the team knows it can be
me any given night. Because our best players are willing
to give us this opportunity. They not so much an
arrested oh let me just jack up shots. They want
to get everybody involved and when you're a role player,
that makes you feel good.

There are so many silver linings to this series.

When you started off, one of the first things that
jumps out to me is that Jamal Murray missed two
years of basketball to acl that he's to a back end.
I think believe it was twenty twenty one. I was
watching the game when he tore and for him to
come back and have this effect on the basketball game

and another playoffs is something to watch. And the other
silver lining to it is that the joker, he's almost
has a triple double. Like in the first quarter of
the basketball game, he has like eight points, nine rebounds,
and seven assists, and it's the first quarter and you're
(06:07):
saying yourself, man, he's gonna have a triple double about
halftime and he said, he said, he's completely unselfish. Guys
are getting open shots, and everybody just playing at an
ultimately hogh confidence of being able to make plays. They
put every player on the floor in a situation to
be able to make plays. And the head coach, Man,
(06:28):
I think one of the things that jump off the
page to me is that he's been able to make
incredible adjustments. Every time that they put Strauss in the game,
they run a pick and roll on him to so
Trouse can guard Jamal Murray. And everybody knows that that
is not a matchup that this guy can take. And
(06:50):
I'm just surprised that we all are becoming fans of
how great of how good damn out of Bayo is
and the Joker will get the ball free throw line
extended and he will take.

Him one on one, and the Miami Heat.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
For pride reasons or whatever they think they have Bama's
a great defender, and he takes him one on one and.

The ball never hits the ball. It's never a swish.

it always seems to roll in. Either This guy is
extremely intelligent because he never makes a switch.

He just puts the ball up on the rim with
this spin on it. It hits like the front of
the rim on the side of the room, touching the
backboard and the rows in. And I said this during
the Los Angeles Lakers series, is that we are learning
how highly skilled the Joker is of a basketball player,
because he makes great athletes who are better than him athletically,

look normal, look look like they're not even an NBA players.
And one of my favorite interviews was him, and they
asked me, said, Joko, why are you so good? He said,
I don't know. He said, I'm fat, I'm slow, and
I can't jump. But he continues to just play as

the best player on the planet man, and it's just
impresses the watch the way that he goes about it,
and he does it consistently, night in and night out.

Does Nicola Djokis deserve to be in the conversation of
greatest big man in the game?

My buddy Fred Taylor asked me this stuff the other day.

needed to be anything else other than a dominant player

And the game then in the game now, I get you.
The game now is a versatile big man, and so
a Keem didn't have to step out and shoot threes,
He didn't have to face up from twenty twenty feet out.
It was a different game back then than what it

is now. With his footwork and it's touch, he would
have been able to do exactly what Joker is doing now.
He just didn't have to do it because the game
is different now.

To answer your question, to do everything he's doing right
now in that era of I believe.

So well, he wouldn't have been in on a perimeter
as much. It would have been down low like the
big man back then was. But would he have adapted.
The great players adapt and perform in any eraror and
that's my They're going to perform. They're great players for
a reason. They're going to adapt with the times and
they're going to perform. Joker is on his way to

cementing himself is one of the best big men, best
players in NBA history. He's early in his career and
so he will be mentioned with Hakeem Olajuans and Shacks
and those guys. Hell, his name will be mentioned, but
he has so far to go. But to say, would

you take him over a Keem Olajuan b he would
have adjusted. He would have adjusted that. That's a fact.
His his touch, he had a soft touch around the basket,
just like Joker. He would have easily adapted. You're over
Shaquille O'Neill.

Nah, if you're starting a franchise knowing what you know now,
Shaquille O'Neill in his prime, uh uh, Nicola Joe in
his prime?

Right now? Who do you select to start your franchise with?
With Shack athleticism, Shaq would have got a dunk every
time like he was doing back then. But everything sustain
climate of the NBA athletic enough to play on the
perimeter defensively, he wasn't shooting it out there. But huh

couldn't shoot free throws. Jo doesn't have the Joker doesn't
have that weakness you put him on. I can't. Who's
gonna stop Shock from getting to the basket.

in the same exact draft with all the elements that
we all know, who are you taking out of those?

he's being compared to Shack and Tim Duncan right now

the bat background a burn Factory and where did it
all come from?

Yeah, LeVar, So I was in sixth grade.
Speaker 7 (26:08):
It was the last week of school science and.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
This is Price. This is Priest. Okay, let's go, let's go.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Yeah, this is Priest.

All right.
Speaker 7 (26:19):
Yeah, So I was sixth grade, last week of school
science class. Comes walk into the class. Soom Peter says,
she's going to be doing a science experiment that involves fire,
baking soda, sand, and rubbing alcohol. Didn't really think too
much of it because I'm a kid and.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Science is cool.
Speaker 7 (26:38):
And she said we need to go outside to do this.
So we all go outside. We sit down in a
semi circle, pretty far from the teacher, and literally the
next thing note it was like a bomb went off
and I was immediately brushed ICU, underwent multiple surgeries and
(26:58):
had a fifty percent chance to survive, and over the
next couple of days that I was in the hospital,
that's where I found my burn moment.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Now, what does a burn moment mean?
Speaker 3 (27:10):
So obviously the teacher's experiment went horribly wrong.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
You get burned horribly bad with.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
A percentage chance a fifty percent chance of surviving this accident,
What does a burn moment mean in that moment?
Speaker 7 (27:27):
Priests, Yeah, a burn moment is just a super hard
time that you had to fight to overcome that got
you to where you are at today. For instance, I'm
a competitive golfer and I had my family go get
my putters. Went about a couple of days into the
hospital feeling really down, and they brought me my putter,

and I would put three balls into a glass jar,
and slowly but.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Surely that started putting.
Speaker 7 (27:55):
In the smile my face. And that's when I said,
this is my burn moment.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
So how accurate is that it says that you recently
participated in the PGA qualifying round for the farm was
open and you shot a plus one in the back nine.
Are you burning us with this information? Or is this accurate?
Speaker 7 (28:15):
That's that's accurate? Was that was a couple of years ago.
Speaker 6 (28:20):
I balled out on that back nine?
Speaker 1 (28:22):

I was young. I was like fifteenth.

But yeah, man, to been what you have been through,

So I got to say, that's pretty impressive, man, if

picks in a seven on seven tournament yesterday, so man
man is out there trying to go beast mode on them.
So I'm gonna take them out to get breakfast, like
little congratulatory breakfast. The little one pen just got on
the roll perfect like grades, like she's like dope, super

dope leader and she's just finished second grade. So we're
going to celebrate that as well, and and then you know,
obviously the twins she made the one of the best
chair teams in like the country competitively, Lailah, So I'm
gonna take all three of them out to get some
breakfast and we're gonna eat some food.

And break some bread with a little late brunch, late
brunch with like you have.

No other option to be anything less than an extraordinary leader.
