build teams with older a mix of younger players, players

I'm going to win a championship. I don't go to Philly.
I'm not going to Miami Heat. I'm gonna just go
ahead and roll it out with the Golden State Warriors.
If I'm Lebron James, because I'm not winning in Miami,
I'm not winning Golden State. So if I'm not going
to Philadelphia, I'm going up to the Golden State Warriors.
That's what I would do. But it seems as if
everything is pointing towards Miami.

You know, you know, looking at you know, the Miami Heat,
just like you said TZ with this current roster, you know,
where's the space. I believe that that's what it's going
to come down to, Uh, you know, for them, if
Lebron James does decide to return to Miami. He if

where he won two world championships, then to twat and then
try to get to another championship, because it just doesn't
seem feasible. Uh, you know, for for the Miami Heat
to win a championship with this roster. I mean, they
will be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference,

when it comes down to the Eastern Conference playoffs and
you know, you know, getting into the NBA Eastern Conference
Finals out. I don't believe that they are better than
the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia or the New York Knicks. And

this year, so you don't know where Indiana's going to be.
But if he does want to win the championship, I
just cannot see Lebron James and the.

back to go back to Cleveland, go back home, call
of the career. Because even if he does go to
Miami or Cleveland, I don't think that he's gonna win

I look at it from a perspective of when when
Lebron James makes his decision, and obviously he's he's weighing
it out. There's the conversation of ego versus rings, and
and you've got to use that modern day superstar calculator,

assume the career that he's had would feed the ego
of what he's been able to accomplish during his time
as as a pro player. So when I think about
where will he go, I ultimately think about why is
he going there? And I think you guys have both

kind of touched on it. It's got to be even
though his agent Paul, you know, he said that it's
not about the rings. If it's not about the rings,
at this point, what in particular, like, what would we
say him playing? What's it about? What's it for? Why?
Why do I want to continue to play the game

of basketball with everything that he's accomplished. I feel like
it has to be the rings is the reason why
you're going to continue to play. So then my question
becomes what team that he can fit on gives him
that best opportunity to be able to do that? And
I don't know that there's very many teams where that

opportunity exists for him, fellas. And so when I start
thinking about, Okay, measuring out how much is he going
to get paid? Because I feel like that's the biggest
that's the biggest issue here is not the fact that, Okay,
he can go to any team be a positive contributor.

it happened. People people touched on it, and well, I

was nervous about it. I really was. I just felt
like getting back in after so long and and I know, listen,
you know man man trains in martial arts. He shouts
out to the Gracie family, He's he's done a couple Uh,
you know, sessions and sparring is something that you do
for your entire life when you're in.

I didn't look at his age fellas as being like
the whole back of it all. I just felt like
sparring and really really fighting, like being in and the octagon,
having to deal with it on a real level. There's
just so much that goes into it. And I just
you know, it was a big match. I just wasn't

sure how it would go. Well. It went to this tune.
Sixty nine seconds the fight began. Connor comes with a
flying across the octagon jumping kick with a big, dramatic,
classic McGregor approach, lands on the right knee awkward, and
I don't know if you guys seen it, but you

could see that something happened with the knee and things
weren't the same after that, one minute and nine seconds into.

The fight, it was over.

It was waved off, and the comeback of Connor McGregor
kind of crashed.

I mean to me, what do you guys take away
from the fight? I know you guys felt a certain
type of way. I didn't get a chance to talk
to you guys before the fight last week, but what
did you guys feel going into the fight and what
were your feelings coming out of it?

He's obviously saying he's going to rehabit, he's going to
get healthy, and he's going to come.

Back and fight again. How you guys feel about all
of it?

I mean, going into the fight, you didn't know what
to expect. He had been off for so long that
it was like what kind of McGregor we gonna see?
And after the kind of McGregor that I just saw,
I mean, I think this should be it bro Like
the fight prior to this, pretty much the same thing.

He got hurt, he can't continue. Had to lose that fight.
And if you look at this fight, bro, let's just
be honest. When he took his shoes off, did you
see that when he took his shoes off, he hopped
on his left leg as if he didn't want his
right leg to hit the ground. So I was just like,

I didn't think anything it. He may have had an injury,
but I think a lot of guys have injuries going
to fights. Man, I don't care who you are. You
can be the best fight in the world. You can
be the worst fight in the world. Man, you step
and that octagon, you step in that boxing ring, you
a bad effort because it's so much anxiety that comes

with another man really trying to hurt me. And so
I don't you just you you bad just for doing that.
Anybody that does that, you get my credit. That's first
and foremost. But he was hurt going into that. I
can't imagine that happening, and when he took his shoe off,

just what he did, and it may not have been
as bad as it was when he attempted that kick,
but I just feel like he was hurt. In His
last two fights have ended the same way and so
I wouldn't want to.

Why not if it's a okay, if I got to
pay for it, I won't tune in if it's on television.

I don't think that. You know, he does older fans
and apology for that point, but I don't think. I

he wasn't going to call that fight off. It was
basically a smashing grab for him from a money standpoint
to be able to make that amount of money in
sixty nine seconds. But I just can't fathom that he
would go into a ring with a torn a cl.
I believe he was injured, but you know, nine that
he's having a knee surgery. It really says that, you know,

he was previously hurt before the before the fight started,
but if he has a torn a cl and he's
already had surgery, were talking about basically nine to nine
months to a year for him to be able to,
you know, to return to the ring. I should believe
for him not fight for five years, that that that
was long enough in itself, but you know, to you know,

to just to sustain that kind of injury of a
cl getting back into the mm A ring, man, I
really think it's going to be tough. But he has
come out and said that he's going to FA fight
Max hollow Holloway again. So we're gonna have to see,
you know, what happens a year from now, if he's
healthy and if he's going to return to the ring.
But I believe it was just like TJ said, I

believe it's just best for him. A call of the
career based off of you know, know how he has
looked in his last two fights.

I'm not going to Miami Heat. I'm gonna just go
ahead and roll it out with the Golden State Warriors.
If I'm Lebron James, because I'm not winning in Miami,
I'm not winning Golden State. So if I'm not going
to Philadelphia, I'm going up to the Golden State Warriors.
That's what I would do. But it seems as if
everything is pointing towards Miami.

You know, you know, looking at you know, the Miami Heat,
just like you said TZ with this current roster, you know,
where's the space. I believe that that's what it's going
to come down to, Uh, you know, for them, if
Lebron James does decide to return to Miami. He if
he does go to Miami, I believe it's more personal,

uh you know, for him going back, going back home
where he won two world championships, then to twat and then
try to get to another championship, because it just doesn't
seem feasible. Uh, you know, for for the Miami Heat
to win a championship with this roster. I mean, they
will be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference,

but when it comes down to the you know, you know,
when it comes down to the Eastern Conference playoffs and
you know, you know, getting into the NBA Eastern Conference
Finals out. I don't believe that they are better than
the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia or the New York Knicks. And
you know you're going to have a healthy Tyris Halliburton

this year, so you don't know where Indiana's going to be.
But if he does want to win the championship, I
just cannot see Lebron James and the.

But from a personal standpoint for Lebron or the Miami Heat,
I just think that if he doesn't go to Miami,

to compete at all to a World championship. Just go
back to go back to Cleveland, go back home, call
of the career. Because even if he does go to
Miami or Cleveland, I don't think that he's gonna win
a World championship either one of the teams.

I look at it from a perspective of when when
Lebron James makes his decision, and obviously he's he's weighing
it out. There's the conversation of ego versus rings, and
and you've got to use that modern day superstar calculator,

assume the career that he's had would feed the ego
of what he's been able to accomplish during his time
as as a pro player. So when I think about
where will he go, I ultimately think about why is
he going there? And I think you guys have both

kind of touched on it. It's got to be even
though his agent Paul, you know, he said that it's
not about the rings. If it's not about the rings,
at this point, what in particular, like, what would we
say him playing? What's it about? What's it for? Why?
Why do I want to continue to play the game

of basketball with everything that he's accomplished. I feel like
it has to be the rings is the reason why
you're going to continue to play. So then my question
becomes what team that he can fit on gives him
that best opportunity to be able to do that? And
I don't know that there's very many teams where that
(07:44):
opportunity exists for him, fellas. And so when I start
thinking about, Okay, measuring out how much is he going
to get paid? Because I feel like that's the biggest
that's the biggest issue here is not the fact that, Okay,
he can go to any team be a positive contributor.
I made I made the point last week, fellas. Out

know y'all might think I'm crazy, but I think I
think Byron Byron Scott even kind of touched on it
a little bit. If he was willing to be a
role player and potentially be a six man off of
off of the bench and and come come in and
and to a san Antonio, come in to Oklahoma. But

sake of the discussion.

He wouldn't He wouldn't come off the bench in San Antonio.

was nervous about it. I really was. I just felt
like getting back in after so long and and I know, listen,
you know man man trains in martial arts. He shouts
out to the Gracie family, He's he's done a couple Uh,
you know, sessions and sparring is something that you do
for your entire life when you're in.

I didn't look at his age fellas as being like
the whole back of it all. I just felt like
sparring and really really fighting, like being in and the octagon,
having to deal with it on a real level. There's
just so much that goes into it. And I just
you know, it was a big match. I just wasn't

sure how it would go. Well. It went to this tune.
Sixty nine seconds the fight began. Connor comes with a
flying across the octagon jumping kick with a big, dramatic,
classic McGregor approach, lands on the right knee awkward, and
I don't know if you guys seen it, but you

could see that something happened with the knee and things
weren't the same after that, one minute and nine seconds into.

The fight, it was over.

It was waved off, and the comeback of Connor McGregor
kind of crashed.

In a heap of rubble.

I mean to me, what do you guys take away
from the fight? I know you guys felt a certain
type of way. I didn't get a chance to talk
to you guys before the fight last week, but what
did you guys feel going into the fight and what
were your feelings coming out of it?

He's obviously saying he's going to rehabit, he's going to
get healthy, and he's going to come.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
Back and fight again. How you guys feel about all
of it?

I mean, going into the fight, you didn't know what
to expect. He had been off for so long that
it was like what kind of McGregor we gonna see?
And after the kind of McGregor that I just saw,
I mean, I think this should be it bro Like
the fight prior to this, pretty much the same thing.

He got hurt, he can't continue. Had to lose that fight.
And if you look at this fight, bro, let's just
be honest. When he took his shoes off, did you
see that when he took his shoes off, he hopped
on his left leg as if he didn't want his
right leg to hit the ground. So I was just like,

I didn't think anything it. He may have had an injury,
but I think a lot of guys have injuries going
to fights. Man, I don't care who you are. You
can be the best fight in the world. You can
be the worst fight in the world. Man, you step
and that octagon, you step in that boxing ring, you
a bad effort because it's so much anxiety that comes

with another man really trying to hurt me. And so
I don't you just you you bad just for doing that.
Anybody that does that, you get my credit. That's first
and foremost. But he was hurt going into that. I
can't imagine that happening, and when he took his shoe off,

just what he did, and it may not have been
as bad as it was when he attempted that kick,
but I just feel like he was hurt. In His
last two fights have ended the same way and so
I wouldn't want to.

If Connor McGregor fights again, I want tune in? Why not?

Why not if it's a okay, if I got to
pay for it, I won't tune in if it's on television.
But god, you wasted money. You wait, you're not paying

I mean, you don't think as a as a fan,

that Colin McGregor is already hurt before the fight begins.
I don't think that. You know, he does older fans
and apology for that point, but I don't think. I
don't think that no matter how hurt. Commic Gregor was

he wasn't going to call that fight off. It was
basically a smashing grab for him from a money standpoint
to be able to make that amount of money in
sixty nine seconds. But I just can't fathom that he
would go into a ring with a torn a cl.
I believe he was injured, but you know, nine that
he's having a knee surgery. It really says that, you know,

he was previously hurt before the before the fight started,
but if he has a torn a cl and he's
already had surgery, were talking about basically nine to nine
months to a year for him to be able to,
you know, to return to the ring. I should believe
for him not fight for five years, that that that
was long enough in itself, but you know, to you know,

to just to sustain that kind of injury of a
cl getting back into the mm A ring, man, I
really think it's going to be tough. But he has
come out and said that he's going to FA fight
Max hollow Holloway again. So we're gonna have to see,
you know, what happens a year from now, if he's
healthy and if he's going to return to the ring.
But I believe it was just like TJ said, I

believe it's just best for him. A call of the
career based off of you know, know how he has
looked in his last two fights.

guys down with you when coaches don't want that. We
all know that. But can he change himself as a person?
And if he does, I believe somebody will give him
