Speaker 2 (00:44):
Well Taylor Vippolis wanted to be close. He's a big
Knicks fan.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
He's the executive producer of this radio program, and he
wanted to be close to the action because he loves
the New York Knicks, he loves the Mecca, he loves
Madison Square Guard and so we have got him as
close as you can possibly be to the action, Boots
on the ground right in front of the mecca Madison
Square Garden. Will check in with Taylor in just a second.
(01:10):
And just know this throughout the course of the program.
If you hear this sounder coming up here in just
a second, it means Taylor's on the line and he
has a live report for us.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Play the sounder here comes Brunson.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Ah, So it's kind of like his noda DA I
probably shouldn't do that's on this network. But it's kind
of like that familiar sound, right, So it's just Taylor's
version of that.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yes, we'll get a live report from him in just
a second. He is outside of Madison Square Garden by
himself right now on the phone. We'll check in with
him in just a second. But is he You know this,
We have a rule around here. When Chris mad Dog
Russo says something funny or does something dismissive, and no
one hates premature celebrations of championships more than Christopher mad
(01:56):
Dog Russo, we have to play it.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
And nobody, yes, respect Christopher mad Dog Russo sound as
much as you do. It's literally I think the first
thing you said when you started this radio show. It's
like you established that rule.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yes, well, yesterday he was at it again because he's
a Hall of Famer, because he is not happy that
Nick fans were celebrating up two oh, like they had
won an NBA title when there are still two games
left to win. Here's how a Hall of Famer Christopher
mad Dog Russo starts his show yesterday.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
Again with James Dolan. We congratulate Jim for his championship.
I want to congratulate the President of the United States.
I guess I never saw him, but I mean, I
guess he was at every Nick game known to man
in the nineties court side now I never I guess Mike'
sat with him. I was at every one of those games.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
I don't remember him.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
But we want to congratulate the president of the We
want to congratulate Tracy Morgan. We want to congratulate Ben Stiller,
he of course of the of the met Gala with
a you know, big playoff game. We want to congratulate Benny.
We want to congratulate Timothy Chalamey, who goes back about
four years with the Knicks. But we want to congratulate
the complete unknown. We want to make sure he gets
(03:06):
a thank you. That's how we want to congratulate Mike's
caapachiiti scapachi. Let me pronounce him right. He's my trainer.
He's a huge Nick fan. His son Ryan, he congratulated
him on their championship. We want to congratulate Rob down
in Fort Mills, South Carolina. He won Tommy in Los Angeles.
We want to make sure tom gets pat on the
(03:26):
back as far as his title is concerned. How about
Spike got to congratulates bank Lady John Starks. Will congratulate Johnny.
He never won one thanks to a one for seventeen outing,
but they'll better late the number for Johnny. Stephan Marberry,
who's got comments from China, we want to make sure
we congratulates Stephan Marbury. That is Clyde, who is still
(03:50):
the you know, if not the the second greatest Nick
of all time. Congrat Clyde for finally having a Mike Green,
the lort, Marv, the longtime voice, John McEnroe who came
across the pond to have an opportunity to go there
ls last night and dancing in the hallway. We want
to make sure we congratulate Johnny. We want to congratulate
(04:14):
h Derek Jeter never watched the Nick game in his life.
He's from Michigan, but we'll make sure we congratulate him.
After fifty three years. Eli Manning knows little something about winning.
We congratulate Eli and the wives. We congratulate the Sandy Montag,
who you know, if if he represented Wembyama, he'd be
(04:35):
any other side of the court. But we want to
congratulate the great Montag for a title, what a job
the Knicks did in his series and the fact they
won all these games in a row and you know
ended fifty three one. To congratulate Leon Rose, that's important.
Mike Brown, Tom Tibodeaux, who put the ball club together.
We want to make sure Tommy, I think we'd all
(04:57):
the great Frank is Solo, who goes back on hundred
years with Jim going. We want to of course gratually Frank,
Mike Wilbigo who I know him and Jim uh, you
know share cocktails. We want to congratulations to Mike, whose
son Zach got married in Eastampton this weekend, which you
think it was going to be youngers.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
So we want to.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
Congratulate Mike for you know, following the Knicks for so
long and how many Sam Godopper and his family.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Unbeli Taylor, if you can hear me, I want his
trainer on what.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Did all of these people, do stude? Did they all
celebrate like the Knicks won the championship?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
He is upset that everyone celebrated the Knicks winning a
championship when they were merely up two games to not
what did Frank do headed back to the Mecca. Well,
clearly Frank was celebrating like the Knicks had won an
NBA championship, and he did so prematurely.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
Yes, mike Y yet couldn't help. But notice he didn't
congratulate used tone.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Well, no, he went on for fifteen more minutes, so
maybe he did.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
He did?
Speaker 3 (06:02):
You just stopped listening.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
That's the condensed version. Yes, I can't play an entire
segment from The Man Show. I can't do that. I
should I want to.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
I think Shalla May has a beef there though, what
do you mean when Dog says, who's been a Knicks fan,
who's been with them for about four years? Yes, there's
literally footage of Tim shallow May as a child going
up and getting Nick's signatures, taking pictures with Nicks on
bad teams like he's a lifer.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
That's besides the point. Mad Dog needs to cater that
that whole rant to what it is he's trying to
accomplish there, and what he's trying to accomplish there is
how dare any of you call yourself Nick fans? Some
of you aren't Derek Cheaters from Michigan, But how dare you,
guys prematurely celebrate an NBA title when New York City
has been waiting for this for so long.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Let's actually get it done first.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Right, Yeah? Yes, Shalame still has you with a follow up,
so he could he could have just congratulated and me
didn't have to add that who's been with them for
four years?
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Okay, fair, I'll pass it along the dog for you. Yeah,
and then he can pass it along the salt because
I'm certain corrected the next time he does it.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Let's go live here to Madison Square, guarded Taylors outside.
He wanted to be close to the action, feel the buzz,
the electricity.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Around New York City. I could hear it. I could
hear it, Taylor founder though, Ye, well, no, we don't
need the souther yet, not for the first one. Only
for everyone after the first one. Let's go out to MSG.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Taylor boots on the ground reporting live for Stigotz and
Company here on Fox Sports Radio, Taylor set the scene
for us what's going on at the Mecca five and
a half hours before game time.
Speaker 7 (07:38):
Hey, guys, Taylor Vipflis Fox Sports Radio. I'm right outside
the front of the garden. Directly in front of me.
It looks like the NYPD is preparing for World War
Z because they've got every officer.
Speaker 8 (07:50):
Just lined up in front. I'm killing time before the game.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
You could go to the team store inside the garden
to get official license here, or you could go to the.
Speaker 8 (07:59):
Corner of thirty fourth and seventh.
Speaker 7 (08:01):
My boy, man, he's got a table set up there.
He's got his own line of shirts. The only problem
on the back of his Destin's Final championship shirt. You
have a team roster with guys.
Speaker 8 (08:11):
That never played for the Knicks, like Lebron James. Fox
Sports Radio. Come to Half.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Tomato.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
If you can hear me, you get Manny on the show.
I want you to go to the corner and play
a game called one Shirt with Manny. Okay, one shirt.
He has one shirt left on the rack and uh,
you know Karl Anthony Towns, Uh, someone in his family
comes by for that shirt, and someone in Willis Reed's
family comes by for the shirt and he only has
one left.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
On the rack, someone and his family.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yes, yeah, I corrected myself, Yes, you heard me do it.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
But is Lebron James's name still on the T shirt?
I think because if that's the case, nobody wants.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
The James T shirts.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
He said, there's people on the on their shirt that
didn't play for the Knicks this year. Yeah, kind of
makes it feel like a useless shirt. Go ahead, Dan Buyer, Yeah,
cond Taylor.
Speaker 9 (09:00):
Look if there's one with Joannison Tetokoumpo's name on the
back as well, maybe Excel double X something like that,
just while he's there.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yep, I'll have him do that for you, Dan, I will.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
So when you hear the sounder moving forward, it means
Taylor has a report live from Madison Square Guarden, Mikey,
he's close to the action.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
This is where he wanted to be.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
He's not going inside the game, he's not going into
that building, but he is close to the action.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
This is everything he's wanted. This is I mean, this
is what he asked for.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
He said, Hey, guys, would it be okay if I
went up just to be close to the garden.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
This is where he is.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
He doesn't even care like he hasn't even asked a
question about how softball season ended because it clearly ended
without him. And yeah, has not even thought once to
ask how it went.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I gave out the phone numbers. We'll take calls today.
Steve in South Dakota, go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 10 (09:52):
Hey, guys, how was going good? Not bad? As a
longtime gambler, I'm seventy eight. Is any legal or illegal
book maker going to take a Texas tex Texas Tech
football game bet?
Speaker 4 (10:10):
Probably not, Steve, quick question, you've been gambling this long?
Are you up for a lifetime? Are you down for
your lifetime? He's got, it's probably down.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
It broke even. I mean, it's gonna be difficult.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
I can only speak for myself, is he And really
the story is it's kind of well, it's not funny,
but it is funny with swords by I would I'm
not going to bet on Texas Tech.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
How could you? Based on his history and based on
the fact that after two games that guy's gonna have
the ball in every single snap.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
This is so bad that I would imagine even the
people at Texas Tech, the ones who gave Brendan Soresby money.
We're probably saying, crud, this is not good. It makes
us look terrible, Like every other school in the country
is saying, like, how do you not have accountability for
your actions? This is almost the one rule that you
(11:00):
can't break. And all of a sudden you get a
friendly Texas Tech judge and this guy is only going
to serve two games suspension for two games that they
should probably win with a third string quarterback, And now
everything's in question when it comes to that team. And
it's just it's the worst. It's the worst, and it's
NC Double A, and it's this country and sports and
the way they're treating it right now, and it just
I can't. I did not imagine we can get to
(11:20):
a point where such obvious gambling can happen on the
team he's playing with, and it's just like, oh, no
big deal, the American court system will free him.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Go ahead, Mike, ye, here comes Bruns. I wonder, how
does no matter what we're doing.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Let's go out to Madison Square Garden. Taylor Hippolis is
reporting live for Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
Go ahead, Taylor, thanks you got Taylor, Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 8 (11:42):
I just saw someone in a Jerome James jersey.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
That's the whole report. Mikey. You were saying, I don't
know I'm googling Jerome James right now.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
You don't know Jerome Joe is not one of the
worst contracts in the next history.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
I want that sounding to go off as often as possible.
Here comes Brunson, Go back to MSG. Taylor is out
there live. Yes, Taylor, thank you.
Speaker 8 (12:17):
Got sports radio through out here.
Speaker 7 (12:21):
I think I just saw Bill Peto Walkley bye the
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
I'm oh, all you gotta wait for the r man.
If you confirm it, that's Bill Peto. Tell him, I said, Hello.
I don't even know if he'll remember me, but tell him,
I said, what.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Is Peto doing there?
Speaker 4 (12:39):
Is he a baseball guy?
Speaker 8 (12:40):
Know?
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I have no idea. I don't know where Bill Pedo
is my favorites.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Really, Bill Pedo, You're hilarious.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
I would like your top five Sports center anchors, your
favorite top five sports anchors, right, But you're not basing
this on how they perform on television, just your personal
feelings towards them.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
My personal feelings are about how I've seen them on television.
It's not like I have interactions with them away from
the TV. So yeah, it's got to be TV.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Mikey, A, did you want to finish your thoughts here
on Brendan Soresby.
Speaker 6 (13:11):
I'm just wondering what's going to be worth it for
Texas Tech, Like if they don't make it to the
championship game and win, it is Soresby?
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Like was it worth going through all this for Soresby?
Speaker 4 (13:22):
We have to apologize. We have to pause again, do
do doo doo? We have to pause. I have to
apologize to Bill Peedo. We all have to apologize to
Bill Pedo asking what the hell he's doing there? He's
an MSG studio. Okay, so confirmed Taylor, that was Bill Pedo.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yes, he should have stopped and got him on the show.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
You are a guest booker at heart. That is your thing.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I really am. Listen. I want Manny on the corner.
Was it Manny? I also want Doggies trainer. Mikey. I
don't know what's gonna happen with Soorsby.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
The reason I said this story is funny, is what's
it really going to do in terms of the bottom line.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Of college football?
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Like, yes, it's a bad look, but are any less
people going to consume college football than they were before?
In fact, I would venture to say as bad of
a look as it is, more people are going to
consume that sport than ever this upcoming season, even while
not being able to trust a quarterback who plays for
a team that made the College Football Playoff just a
(14:22):
year ago. So I understand it's a bad look, and
perhaps it's a breaking point and a tipping point for
the NCAA, but it's not going to impact college football's
interest or bottom line.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Well, everything have to work together harmoniously, right. If it's
going to affect the gambling, then it's going to affect
the sport. Like this is all you know, this is
the world we live in now, and they all have
to be happy about everything. And yeah, I think it
will affect a sport in some way. If you continue
in any way to show that you're not really concerned
about gambling within the sport amongst the players, then yeah,
I think people will drift away. I think the integrity
(14:54):
of the sport it's the one thing that sports will
always have and this is probably the fastest way to
take that away.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
We'll come back We'll take some phone calls eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox Taylors.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Live, and here comes brun sou yet, let's go out
to him right now?
Speaker 7 (15:13):
Go ahead, Taylor, Hey, you got t Fox Sports Radio.
Coming to Game three felt like I was going to
a party. Coming to Game four feels like I'm going
to my own funeral. Fox Sports Radio fs R.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Great pause. I can't get enough of it.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gotson Company
Live weekday, said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 11 (15:47):
Is.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
He had an odd reaction to the Soresby story that
Dan Bayer just read what was going on?
Speaker 2 (15:52):
There comes brun some.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Let's go out to Taylor Viippolis. He has boots on
the ground at the Mecca. Taylor, go ahead, thank.
Speaker 7 (16:01):
You, got kaor ls Fox Sports Radio outside the garden.
I just went up to an NYPD officer and said I'd.
Speaker 8 (16:07):
Like to report an assault. I said where is he?
I should probably miss spurs locker room. You can't miss him.
He's seven to four in French for Fox Sports Radio.
Onto Hippolis, fs.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
OH Okay. I was waiting for the r bad reception
A you he forget? Yes, you know I think he
has bad receptions with a lot of people if he's back.
Hold on, yes, Taylor, Oh there it is.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
You should have laid out longer.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Chris and Nathan will get to you in just a second.
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Back to Soresby
for a second.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
I'm still laughing. I want a picture of Victor Vebnyama
coming out of the locker room and handcuffs and Taylor celebrated.
I was laughing because they're treating the Brendans soors be
gambling addiction like an injury. Oh, he might not be
ready for week three, still dealing with that mental thing.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
And I'm just like, what, yes, what you have everyone
outraged about this and they're thinking about it and telling
you it's a stretch that he'll play in game three.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Let me let me report this, okay, and be the
first one he's playing in game three. He'll be just fine.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Whatever he's going through, he'll be fine by game three
of the regular season. You don't go through all this
the sit swordsby an extra game that he doesn't have
to say true.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
But the plan is clearly for them to convince us
that he had a problem is clearing that problem up entirely,
and that's why he shouldn't be punished for the path.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
He's fixed.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Stu goatts, he will be fixed. So they're setting that,
they're planting that seed. Now said, I don't know if
he's gonna be ready. He's still got some things to
deal with. And then come week three. Wow, what a change. Yeah,
what a difference in this guy since he got here,
clearly regrets everything that he's done, a whole new man,
a bunch of nonsense.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Would you mind looking up who Texas Tech plays in
week three? No?
Speaker 4 (18:04):
We of them? Sounds like a dish.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
In week three.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I'm saying, though, oh week three, Yes, yes, week three,
Dan Bayer, you had something there.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (18:11):
It's like the reverse when you don't want to go
to work on a Friday, so you kind of start
laying the groundwork on Thursday. Yeah, it feels like this
is the reverse of that, a little bit, like he's
already done the work and now you're kind of just
trying to set it up. But all of a sudden
you're like, yeah, Dave said he had a scratchy throat
on Thursday.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
That's got of you.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Why he's out on Friday? Right, It's like a Houston
team in week three.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
They play Houston. Okay, who they playing week four? Anyone know?
Speaker 8 (18:35):
San am Houston?
Speaker 10 (18:36):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (18:36):
A couple of Houston's, a couple of Houston's cutting it up.
That's the game he shouldn't be maybe ready for.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
I mean maybe they should look and they've got collar
od after I think you should be suspended five games.
I think they can go five and zero without it.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
We'll get to the sound of Stefan Marbury here in
just a second, but first let's go out to what Chris.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Who's in Phoenix today? Chris, go ahead, you're on Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 12 (19:00):
How are you guys?
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Good?
Speaker 12 (19:03):
Just shopping for people who made better life decisions than
I did here sort, But you guys are talking about
how bad the Knicks frans or yesterday tearing off people's shirts.
But I know, as an Eagles and a Knicks fan,
I gotta say, like, isn't that the whole point of
being a fanatic? And you know, you look at the
Bleacher creatures. You don't go to Philly and a Giant's jersey.
(19:26):
You don't go to the black Hole and Chiefs jersey.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Isn't that the whole I think?
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Well, no, I think what you don't do is attack
people who are in your building because they're wearing the
opposing team's jerseys.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
You know.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Yeah, the physical attack of another human being for wearing
a jersey, if it's playful, if it's hey, I'm gonna
run up to you and come close to you.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Hey, take that shirt off.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Okay, that's okay, you're literally reaching. You got fans being defensive,
trying to fight back. It's the step too far.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
This is when you know it's a problem when the
Nick players are coming out and asking their own fans base.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Hey, stop doing this. Okay, Mikey had something there.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
How Bernard King is alive and on television.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Yes, he is alive and on television.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
He wouldn't be on television if he was dead.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
His funeral.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Mikey, you have to speak quickly.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
We have very small windows, so you never know when
Taylor is coming back here, okay?
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Or is he at this point? As somebody who.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
Travels around to see games, like I go everywhere else
and it's never that bad. You can get burbally, you know,
yelled at and whatever.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
That's fine. I'm not with my kids. Go ahead and
yell at me. But once you once you put hands. Now,
now there's a problem, right. And they're not playful heads.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
They're serious and trying to rip off your jersey and
rip your head off because they're mad.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
They're merely up two games to one in the NBA Finals.
But I would say this New York. It's it's not
only New York. I've had beers dumped on me.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
I've had things happen to me, and it's not It's
just not how we should act.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
So I don't care if the word is fanatic. That's
not how we act.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Let's go out to Nathan, who was in Lancaster, California today. Nathan,
go ahead, it's nice meeting everyone, by the way, Go ahead, Nathan.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Everybody wants me to believe that Victor and Binyama is
the face of ethical hoops.
Speaker 8 (21:14):
If he's so ethical, why.
Speaker 7 (21:15):
Doesn't he play on his knees?
Speaker 8 (21:17):
That height is pretty unep.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
It is the unfair advantage.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
You put it on the pole, Mikey, you believe that right,
put it on the pole. Should Wendy be playing on
his knees ethical wenby playing on his knees.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Your height, man, you're just unethical.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Christopher mad Dog Russo in that rant we played, and
that was not really a rant, but a bit of
a segment that he opened up the show, Let's go
out to Madison Square Garden.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Taylor Nippolis live for Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (21:51):
Go ahead, Taylor, thank you, God Stale good for Fox
Sports Radio. So I have to get some foot quick
in South Florida. You gotta know how they're Jannie mcstashes,

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Thank you, Dan.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Stephan Marberry was the sound that a mad Dog reference.
He said he sent it from China because that's where
Marbury lives, although I have no idea if he did
indeed send it from China.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
And for those who can't see this or haven't seen this,
he's in a car, which is it feels like it's
a hearse, it's a little it's got little curtains in
the inside of it. It's clearly some level of limousine.
And here he is complaining about rough play on Jalen Brunson.
Speaker 11 (22:36):
Wemby is an international player. Okay, they played dirty overseas.
Just so you know. Now, if I'm watching film and
I see Wemby throw somebody on my team the next game,
I'm na pop him in his rib cage so hard
with my elbow. Okay, So next game, I guarantee you,
(22:58):
after y'all watched that film on what he did to
jail In Brinson, you better know that whenever he get
on a basketball court, you better put that knife in
his neck.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
I that's a trampoline to put a knife in his neck.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
I mean, he was doing fine right up until the
knife in the.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
It's unbelievable by the way, him announcing they played dirty overseas.
By the way, first of all, all those games are televised.
We can see that for ourselves if we need to.
Second of all, Draymond Green would like a word, yeah, okay,
because I believe you played dirty over here in these
seas as well.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox A lot of Mike.
It's an obstacle course today, man, it really is eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox. It's the way I
like it though. It's why I came back to radio
for days. Lazy River for days like today, And you're right,
my biggest obstacle is the one sitting right across the
table from.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
Me, Ricardo. Speaking of Ricardo will continue in the final
segment to the show. He has fifty shows that are
better than Breaking Band. We're doing them five at a time,
and he is yet to name one.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Only he's only done five, granted, but he is yet
to name one that is actually better than Breaking Bad.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
I mean one of them was the British Office, So
his credibility is gonna have to step up. Golden Girls.
I'm not complaining. Golden gashould have been higher on the list. Yes,
what are we gonna do?
Speaker 2 (24:20):
When Ricardo's going through the list of Taylor calls back,
I mean, jan you do that sound needs to follow
him for the remainder.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Should we shorten? Should we take out the Jalen Brunson
part and just go doo doodoo every time he comes on?
Or you want the whole thing?
Speaker 2 (24:38):
I don't care, that'd be funny. Do here comes Brunson,
Do doo doo dooo.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Let's go out to Madison Square Garden. We are four
hours away from the tip off of Game four the
NBA Finals.
Speaker 2 (24:51):

Speaker 8 (26:19):
You're coming to Cardinals for radio. I'm so riplouss.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Oh, nobody. There's never been a time on this show
where everybody knows to shut up more than between the
S and the R and the Taylor.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Just h I've completely lost my train of thought.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
I mean, the last thing I heard before Taylor was
more very sticking a knife in somebody's neck.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
I'm just checking the major league standings to see how
the Cardinals are doing.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
He said, there, did they come here? They said the wrong.
I don't know if that means if he's back or not.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Okay, good five game win streak for the Cards, That's
what he was saying.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
You really questioned Tailor's report on the targle.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
I just want the detail. It could be here come
the Cardinals they've won three out of four, yes, or
maybe here come the Cardinals they've won eight straight?
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah, five straight? Not terrible, eight seven, seven ninety nine.
On Fox, let's go out to Mike in Miami. Mic,
go ahead, you're a Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (27:21):
All right, limited fake Joseito Fernande singing Quanta about.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Yama Victor when Yama Victor wereman Yama.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Okay, car. I thought there were more lyrics, but you
know what, we get the g.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Just Mike, you know what, I appreciate the call. It's
nice to meet you.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
I appreciate the call, and I appreciate the effort I
did I really do we here, Rene, Hold on a second,
Let's go back to Madison Square.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Go guarded, Taylor, go ahead, take it away.
Speaker 7 (28:03):
Thanks, you got tail good puts outside Mantains Square Garden,
Fox Sports Radio. I just wanted to call in and
say that song was terrible.
Speaker 8 (28:14):
Siplets f s.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
Are are for Renee in Phoenix.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
He's always listening. Go ahead, Brenette, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 8 (28:26):
Hey, what's up? Thats how y'all doing today?
Speaker 4 (28:28):
Good Man?
Speaker 8 (28:28):
How are you just wanted to call to say go Spurs?
Speaker 7 (28:33):
Not I'm not a huge Knicks fans Phoenix.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Are you a Spurs fan? Or you just saying let's
go Spurs because you hate the fan I'm looking for
the I'm going for the Spurs.
Speaker 10 (28:45):
I hate the.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Knicks, Okay, I mean why do you hate the Knicks?
I mean, listen, listen.
Speaker 12 (28:53):
I'm a Boston fan, Okay.
Speaker 8 (28:55):
Okay, that explains for the Knicks.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Man.
Speaker 8 (28:59):
I don't like how to Nick take.
Speaker 10 (29:00):
Care of us last year.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
I'm Hopings can take care of them this year.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
You know, Okay, that is totally fair.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
If you're a Boston fan, you should be rooting for
San Antonio.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
And you know what I'm a fan of somebody who's
gonna call the show just to say, let's go Spurs.
I mean, taking time out of his day to just
cheer on the Spurs in our show. I kind of
like it.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
I was just surprised because you're a Heat fan rooting
for the Knicks and so not rooting I tried. You
tried to tie yourself to New York, to your grandmother's
apartment in a movie.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
I mean again. I was born in New York.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Loose connection.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
My grandparents lived most of their lives and died in
New York, and their building was once in the movie
Boomerang in a scene where Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry
were walking in front of it. That's a pretty cool moment.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
I want to start to have a serious conversation with
you about the NBA and the lack of trust its
fans have in the league because they have a referee
who's called the extender, because the extends series.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
On purpose is the allegation.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
But I'm afraid to start that conversation because I feel
like Taylor's gonna call back in.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Yeah, he can call whenever he wants, but we can
have that conversation.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Stickatson Company is brought to you by FanDuel, America's number
one sports book. We appreciate all their support. The biggest
stage in world soccer is here, and every goal changes
everything from the opening whistle to the final kick. Let
there be goals on FanDuel eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox. That is eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Let's go out to Zach and Phoenix. Zach go ahead
(30:35):
here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 8 (30:37):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Boys?
Speaker 8 (30:39):
It's up two regions.
Speaker 7 (30:40):
One to keep you guys from kudos about how great
of a show do you guys have.
Speaker 11 (30:44):
It's awesome.
Speaker 8 (30:45):
Really appreciate what you guys do to get exact recondly,
no problem.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
Want to touch base on the officiating.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Everybody's giving the spurs are hard time for the way.
Speaker 8 (30:57):
They're getting officiated. Things like that, But no one's bringing
up the fact that when Miyama is getting.
Speaker 12 (31:02):
Molested in twic like here of Joe Arpios.
Speaker 8 (31:06):
On the garden.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
That guy. Yeah, by the way, thanks for the Joe
Arpio joke, it's the Phoenix thing.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
So we've had Sheriff Joe Opio on the show and
Dan did he's the worst warden in the world.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
Yeah, that's say it a lot, right, Yes, but I
have one hundred percent with you, Zach. Like everybody wants
to talk about what Victor webbin Yama's doing, and they're
pointing to, you know, several plays over multiple series right
where he looks like he's doing something that might be
dirty or might something that he's getting away with. Well,
anything that man does is going to be amplified because
it looks it's just more obvious, right, because he's so
(31:42):
big and it just looks a little bit worse. But
he has been getting held all the time, he has
been getting I mean, there's there's clips of people saying
that on this one foul that Jalen Brunson took a
couple extra steps as he was falling so that he
could fall into Victor wenban Yama's knees, right, not saying
that that's one hundred percent true. Nobody knows what Jalen
(32:03):
Brunson was thinking except for Jalen Brunson. But if the
spurs are thinking those things inside of those huddles, and
then seeing how not only Vick is getting fouled and
not getting calls, but Stefan Cassel, I think has probably
been been the worst officiated player in this series so far,
is not getting some calls. Then, yeah, things are going
to escalate, and you're probably going to, as a Spurs
fan or as a Spurs player, say well, the only
(32:25):
option I have is to get more physical. So if
they're retaliating, is it just the Spurs playing dirty or
getting calls? No, it's it's both sides of this. I
told you Stu. I think the officials have lost control
a little bit. The further they go into the playoffs,
the less the more they swallow their whistle. And I
think that's a bad thing. And that's what we're seeing
now is too many fouls, just people getting away with.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
What are you expecting from the officials tonight? The fact
that we're talking about this is a problem that the
NBA has, the fact that we're even discussing this on
a national radio show. The lack of trust that people
have in the officiating and the NBA, because in two
thousand and twenty six, is he I understand what you're
saying about.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Wemby, that's a flagrant foul.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
What he did to Jleb Brunton is a flagrant foul
to have, you know, to try it out many McCutcheon
all over ESPN to say we're taking a look at it.
It takes five seconds to look at that and say, hey,
you know what, that's a flagrant foul.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
But they have told you what's more important, and what's
more important.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
To the NBA is that Wemby continues to play thought
free and Wemby does not get suspended for a game
in the NBA Finals. Otherwise you would have ruled that
a flagrant foul, you would.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
I love that the NBA that people think the NBA
wants everything for Wemby right now, even though if I'm
the NBA, let's say whatever, you know, whatever God like,
human feature person or whatever you.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Are running, you are running the NBA to be honest.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
Yeah, Do I have a problem with the New York
Knicks winning their first championship in whatever fifty three years?
Of course not?
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Right.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Do I see the future and it involves Wemby pretty
much every single year?
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Of course I do.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
So why do I cur have to favor him in
this series.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Because you hate the series being short. Yeah, that's why.
Speaker 6 (34:06):
Yep, because you want this series to go six seven games.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
And the idea of the game's biggest star not being
involved in its biggest event is a thing they don't
want to.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Deal with it or you to think about.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
That's not what we're talking about. We're talking about him
getting close to getting suspended. So maybe he has to
play a different way. That's not the same as him
not being there. If he has to avoid a flagrant foul. Okay,
he can still play and avoid a flagrant foul.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah, Listen, they clearly do not want him to call
away from missing a game.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
That's in my opinion. Otherwise you would rule that a flagrant.
Is he It's obvious.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Look, I think I think it's a flagrant. I think
it follows the you know, it fits the criteria of
a flagrant when you read the rules. They can argue differently.
They can argue, you know, whether it was Jalen Brunson
getting aggressive creating the contact. They can argue that maybe
he's sold it a little bit. Again, I'm not agreeing
with this, I'm just saying there's an argument to be made.
(35:00):
I don't think the other side of the argument is, man,
you guys, he's only going to be one flagrant foul
point away from being suspended. We shouldn't put him in
that position. I just don't believe that to be the conversation.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Now.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
If it was the other way around, if we're talking
the Draymond Green situation with Lebron James, then I could
understand the league saying, oh, do we really want this
series to go on without one of the three best
players on the other team over something that we could
argue was Lebron's fault that I could understand there being
a conspiracy theory here here. I think people are stretching,
like Victor Wembinyama stretching.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
Put it on the Paul Mikeya is Izzy? Is Izzy
the NBA? Yes or no? Because I'm with you, he
should be the logo. Dan Bayer has something about therek
sherfan hoages go, well.
Speaker 9 (35:43):
Just you know, it's funny because we were talking about officiating.
But you know what we're gonna see tonight Game four
tip off? Ref micd up Hey, This ref is just
thirteen NBA thirteenth NBA Finals. What a veteran crew here
like this is supposed to be the best of the best.
Like with Mark Davis fifteenth NBA Finals, he's been roughing here.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
He has throwing it up.
Speaker 9 (36:01):
Talk all right, let's get it underway, Like yes, it's
such a like cell job at the beginning, and then
that's all that we talk about what's wrong with the game.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
But to answer your questions too, I think it's going
to be a very tightly called game right off the bat.
So if any team wants to be the aggressor in
this game, they'd better be careful because they might get
in felt try.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Mar Berry is asking Knicks to stab someone in the neck.
I mean, who do you think is going to be
the aggressor tonight? It's going to be the Knicks.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
I mean, unless Marbury is in uniform. I don't think
it has to be the Knicks necessarily. I think it
could still be the team that's down to what.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Wow, we didn't hear from Taylor in that segment. What
happened to whim?
Speaker 4 (36:33):
He wanted to be close to the action,
