You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
We are four and a half hours away from Game
two NBA Finals. Nicks lead two games to one over
the Spurs. Taylor Vippolis, our executive producer, is live at
Madison Square guarded roaming the building. He will be calling
in with several reports here over the course of the
next hour or so. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

(00:48):
That is eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Let's
go out to Raj, who's in Orange County today? Go ahead, Raj?
How are you? Hey?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Pretty good?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
So?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
How you been a long time?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Good buddy? Thank you? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Yeah, I mean kind of just still doing this thing,
man like so much.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
I thought you'd be slinging Uni.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Oh wait, so you're thinking, oh, just this stint of it.
You don't mean the last twenty years you're just talking
about the last six months. You didn't think it would
last this long, is what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
A seriously, I mean I haven't been six months, man,
I mean here by the past.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Forward buddy, on real life?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
When does the slowdown stream?

Speaker 5 (01:25):
Are you going on a run right now?

Speaker 1 (01:27):
He is? Yes, he is. The r RAJ stands for running.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
I'm running, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Save your breath.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
I'm good. I'm good, I mean by.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Alright, world good, good, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I want you to name I want you to name
four soccer players playing in.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
This World Cup.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Four soccer players playing in this World Cup. Wow? In Bape,
that guy, Wow, I didn't think that that's where you
were going to start. Okay, and in Donovan still hanging
around all right? Uh Pulistic?

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Wow, stayed with the Americans. Okay, I don't think you
can get first names.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
But that's all right. Well, how about the big two?
I mean Messi's playing, Yes, Okay, you got three Ronaldo
dang it?

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Okay, I should have gone five.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Can you name a fifth? Give me a fifth?

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Give me an NBA starting lineup.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I left out Christian Pulistic's penis. I think he's attached,
So I don't think I counted that thing. That's the
biggest goal in US soccer history? Is it big?

Speaker 5 (02:39):
The goal?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Not just Penis? Taylor live from MSG just texted me
nay more, how was he listening? Why do you need
to him called in with that one?

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Here comes Brunson, here he is.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Anyway, let's go back to Madis the square guarded. Taylors
out front ahead, Taylor, heank.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
You got Taylor Bipolis Fox Sports Radio. They're clearing out
the area around the garden to set up their extra
secure perimeter. I can helport though. I just saw that
a shape owned by Fan Marbury has been confiscated. Oh wow,
I'm Taylor FX.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Oh I was wonderings you gats If the celebrities, I
like that on the back end, By the way, that
was a good job where we did that. If the
celebrities and former players have a secret entrance, they have to,
right because even when it came to Game three, when
Trump was there and they're like everybody's got to show
up a few hours, there's no chance Ben Stiller's showing

(03:43):
up at six o'clock and then just sitting there for
two hours.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I mean, I'll tell you this. Greenee had to walk
home like it took him a while to get in.
Took him a while to get home. There was no
there's a journalist, I know, but I mean he was
also sitting courtside a couple of games ago.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
You know.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
But you're saying what you're saying is probably right. I mean,
the Heat have that right, like a special entrance for
family for players.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
Yeah, I think they usually just come in through the
same parking lot as the players. So but there's so
many celebrities at these Knicks games and former players, they
can't all be in that same parking lot. It's probably
not even big enough.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
They're closing down the watch parties again, that's.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
What I read.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
I've read something that said they have certain watch parties
in certain parts of the city, but the one next
to MSG is being closed down. But I'm not trusting
the source entirely because I was on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I will give Steven a Smith, who is the goat.
He's a Hall of Famer, he's a legend. I will
give him credit for his take. It was listen, it
was I never talked politics on the show, and I'm
not going to do it now. To put it, you know,
all Steven A was really trying to say, in a
nutshell there is if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Don't think sus like.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Part of the charm of walking into the mecca of
Madison Square Garden, of everything surrounding Madison Square Garden is
having all those nick fans, some going to the game,
some not, just kind of flowing into the same spot
and having those watch parties outside and having the players
have to see that and walk through that the opposing
players and be intimidated by it. And you're taking some

(05:06):
of the charm of having the NBA Finals that the
world's most famous arena. You're taking that away, okay. And
so Steven A. Smith's point is essentially this, if you're
a Jet fan, you'll be able to relate when you're
down fourteen nothing, and that's every Sunday. You move from
one side of the couch to the other side of
the couch, and if God forbid, the Jets get a
first down, you stay on that side of the couch

(05:27):
until they do something bad. Okay. And so Steve and
A you are saying, Hey, if it ain't bruke, don't
fix it. We don't need to change up anything now.
Let's just keep it status quo. That's all he was
trying to say.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Yeah, I understood, you know, I don't really want to
get into that part. I understand entirely what's happening there.
You're trying to create a beef. You create that beef.
I'm curious. I don't know if you saw, cause I
think Charles Barkley got into a little bit of nut heat,
but he just had some fun with it where he
was talking about Cardi B. And I think he said,
h those look like Cardi D's to me. I didn't

(05:57):
know until right there where she was performing at halftime.
They had these major acts performing at halftime, like Cardi
B is no small act and for her to perform
at halftime, did you know they have another one coming
up in Game.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Four one tonight.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
DJ Khaled way better than DJ Khaled, he is another one.
He's so down on the list right now, way better
than DJ comes run some do hold that thought.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Let's go out to MSG the Mecca top five gardens
of all time. Let's go to Taylor Uh.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
He is a reporting line for Fox Sports Radio. Go ahead, Taylor,
thanks you guys.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Taylor Vipplus Fox Sports Radio and my got pod. Did
Cardi B looks great? A couple of nights ago, I
just saw a mother daughter tourist be shocked by the
final price of one of those music bike rides. It
was a true welcome to the city moment for those ladies.
I think I won the final price of one hundred
and twenty five dollars. Wow's radio, I'm teliviplis FS.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Oh that's how you do it? I mean I want
to drive a truck through that pause.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
What would stop a woman and her daughter from just
running away without paying? And it's like, come chase me horse. Wait,
so does Cardi B?

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Do they usually have these kind of acts at the
NBA Finals? Or is this because it's in New York market,
number one of the mecca.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
It's got to be well, it certainly never was the
case when I was at Finals. I've never seen a
halftime act, especially not a halftime act with that level
of credibility, and then to have a follow up with
this level of history to this act. Do you want
to take a couple of guesses?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
I can give you a clue if you want h
give me a clue.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
You are familiar with members of this band? If you
will group. Let's call them group. I'm gonna say. As
soon as I said band, I was like, no, they
don't play instruments.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
That in company.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Ooh close close, different genre of music. I would say,
it's possible. They were on the show with you on
location in the past.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
They've been on the show and on location. You have
me remembering that Backstreet Boys.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Wow, the Backstreet Boys did a show with you guys. No,
and again we are way off in terms of genre,
in terms of street cred. Yes, with the back Boy
there's a hint. There's a hint right there.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Why don't you just give it to me?

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Tang clan. Oh, they got halftime.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Today, they're doing halftime tonight. Yeah. I could have gotten
them on the show. I have their numbers right here. Yeah.
They did a live show with us in Las Vegas. Taylor, Yes, you're.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Welcome for that tailor.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Who doesn't belong. I mean, now I'm upset I didn't
know that because I am telling you Riza is a
friend of mine. I could have had them on today.
We'll have him on tomorrow. Here comes Brunson.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Do do.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Let's go back to Madison Square Garden Risen really? Uh,
Taylor is out there reporting live for Fox Sports Radio.
Go ahead, Taylor, take it away.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Thanks to Gott Taylors Fox Sports Radio, the stars are out.
Times Square Naked Cowboy has now set up shop. Believe
Fox Sports Radio. I'm Taylor ripless.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Fs Oh, dude, talk about a misrepresentation. That guy has
never been naked. He's always in his underwear. You can't
be called the naked cowboy if you're not naked.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
What a tease? I can't believe. At halftime in the
NBA Finals, Wu Tang He's gonna break out.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
You're more impressed with Wu Tang than Cardid. I really
we get Rakwon on.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
No, I'm just upset with It's a it's a missed
opportunity for us to get Wu Tang on. Oh. I'm
very upset.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox Dan, you have
something there?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
I'm sure that the BA is thinking, like, man, we're
onto something with these halftime shows. And then the Bucks
make it back to the finals and they're like, we
got to get three musical acts from Milwaukee.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
I think maybe maybe.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
Four John Denver cover Band or something like that. It's
just not going to be as impressive.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Wouldn't Milwaukee have enough to cover it?

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Seriously, you know, san Antonio is the other team in
this thing, and I can't think of too many musical acts.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
I'm like, oh, yeah, from san Antonio.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
I think you could cater. You know, you could have
some country acts. You know, I don't know other.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Acts, but Mikey's Mikey's larger point is a good one.
Good luck Dragon Rizza out to san Antonio.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
I think they could run san Antonio the Wu Tang
claim walking down the streets that they're walking down the
river walk. Oh my god, they'd owned that place.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
They just made it to the Hall of Fame. Really,
you're surprised by that it took him so long to
get into the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
I'm not really a music or rock and roll Is
it the rock and roll Hall of Fame?

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Roll?

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Yes, the Music Hall of Fay. I'm not huge on it. Like,
I don't really pay that close attention. I don't know
how long it took them to get there. But as
long as they're in there, good.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
All right.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
Live Weekday said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
What was that sound you made during the Piers Report.
I mean, I'm sure.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Alec Pearce is a very nice guy. You know, nothing
wrong with him at all, But I don't know why
during last seas, during the ob season, during free agency,
the way people talked him up. I was like, you
mean the one trick pony over there in Indy we
had Apparently it's the two trick pony because he gets
hurt as well.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
We had Tyler Shuck on the show in negotiations with
him right now to do a weekly show with us.
We love them, Taylor, Mikey love them. We asked him
at Super Bowl Week radio row, if you could have
one wide receiver in the NFL, what do he want?
And he responded, Alec Pearce, is that the reason? No,
because all quarterbacks like to throw the deep ball? Ay
the deep ball threat? But come on, that is at
that great And I don't know why I laughed at

(11:56):
his injury, right, you mean, he's a green. He is
the most principled human being that I know. He always
falls on the right side because he's always on the
right side. His he side is the right side. And
yet he just laughed at a man's injury.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
Not always us. I'm sorry I.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Walked myself right into that response. I'm not certain. Dan
Byer seems to be shocked. He was shocked when Carl
Douglas called into the show. I saw Simon here comes
get back to day. In the second, we have to
go to Madison Square guarded because the NBA Finals tips

(12:41):
off Game four in four hours and seven minutes.

Speaker 5 (12:44):
To Taylor's out there live, Go ahead, Taylor.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Thanks, you got salors. Fox Sports Radio update on Manny's table.
He just added some inventory. It's a Nix jersey, but
instead of it saying New York, it just says no
way about yo.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
That I feel like, f s.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
Oh, dude, do you stop talking during his reports, I
didn't know he was signing off just yet. Once I
hear him signing off, if I know, I'm backing up.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
It's the five hundredth time he's called in in an
hour and twenty I get it right of it. Maybe
back to Dan for a second. So what I was
saying was he was amazed when Carl Douglas called in.
I saw a similar type look when I said Sheriff
Joe Apio had been a guest with me on the show.
And I believe I have his number, and then I

(13:36):
saw a similar look what I said. I text back
and forth with Rizzo all the time. Is that fair day? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (13:41):
It is fair, It is fair. And that the Sheriff
Joe stuff. I always go back to the Sasha Baron
Cohen the I remember when it was after Borat, but
he did his bit and had Sheriff Joe only it
was hilarious.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
But yes, all the three of those. He called me
a little off guard. Yes, I told Reza have a
good one tonight. I have a good show tonight. He
hasn't responded yet. He's probably busy, yes, but he will.
I'm gonna try to get him on tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Is he I have to try to get him on
a good show tonight?

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I did. I told him have a good show tonight.
How me and him have any sort of relationship is
beyond me.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Man.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
I have a friend who will just DM random celebrities
and be like, hey, buddy, hope you have a good
day today. One day he's gonna get a text back
from this person. And that's exactly who you remind me of.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Yeah, you know, we keep on talking about these celebrities.
John Taturo's on right now on NBA today talking with
the crew, the whole deal. But they just put up
this montage and they included a Rod in this and
then they're including him, I think as former baseball player
and not Minnesota Timberwolve's owner, which I think is very
weird that a Rod is trying to be celebrity when

(14:54):
he owns a competing franchise in the same league. Like
it's even different than Bob Kraft showing up last night
or the other night. It's completely different, like you own
another team in the league.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yes, yes, it'd be like the owner of the Celtics
showing up to the games sitting courts up right.

Speaker 5 (15:09):
Yes, that's a strange crossover. And it's strained that he
likes to be known as former baseball player even though
he's in an NBA game where he owns another team.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah, correct, Dan. I looked up during the break musical acts,
most famous musical acts from the state of Wisconsin or Milwaukee,
and there's not enough to fill four games. Bodings or
like the Boatings, one of them, I'm not sure.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
But Alan Giroux, yes, that's rip.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
He'll be unavailable, gonna be tough for him to show up. Correct.
Let's go back to the phones. Eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox. That's eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Let's go to Cliff, who's in the Virgin Islands today?
Go ahead, Cliff, Cliff. The difference between Loo, yeah, we

(15:58):
got you, we got you?

Speaker 5 (16:00):
Oh okay?

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Why was able to have a glorified did not have
City Night?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
The Hawks can't have Magic City Night is performing?

Speaker 5 (16:17):
Cliff is suggesting that Cardi B is a stripper. She
used to be, okay, but not currently right, So if
you were a stripper at any point, you cannot be
anything else after that?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Is that your for?

Speaker 3 (16:30):
They were just wanting to celebrate the wings?

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Yeah, yeah, okay, there's a there's a loose connection there.
There's a clear distinction there. You know, Cardi B is
performing keeping her clothes on, and is you know, singing
or rapping. She's not really stripping.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
So I will say though, I think he was coming
from the pro stripper side like on that, Like, I
don't think that he was going like the anti you know,
I think he was trying to be like pro Magic
City Night as opposed to anti Magic City Night.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Right, and all is he is saying, And I understand
that Dan is if one of those strippers happens to
make it out of Magic City and has.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
A musical career much like Cardi B.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
I'm certain that Atlanta would allow her to say to
have time act if in d they ever made it
to the NBA finals. That just stands right now. The
Hawks are the second best team of the NBA.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
All I'm saying is Cardi B currently not a stripper
and also was not handing out chicken wings. She was
performing her music, and that is a totally different act.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
You seem offended by it. It's weird. It's just weird.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
It's an insult to my girl, Cardi, my Dominican woman.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
You didn't like it, No, you don't like the idea
of someone being able to claw their way out of
the strip club to have a career like that part.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
I like, I don't write people who when they do
that and all of a sudden, we'll always associate that
person with a stripper, as if it's some sort of
negative gun it do.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
But to cancel that night overall was ridiculous. I mean
it was, come on, we're not gonna here comes Brunson
D thank God just in time to save us. Let's
go out to the Mecca. Taylor Hippolis is standing by
I yet another report. Go ahead, Taylor, what you guys.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Really needed me? There? Hey you got sale? Riplick fuck
sports Radio. On the topic of the halftime show conversation,
I once went to a Knicks game that I spent
five on in twenty fifteen. They lost by nineteen points
to the Heat. But I did see Montchal Jordan at
halftime tailor chipplets fess. Oh perfect, That's how we do it.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
How we do it. What was the funniest thing for
the mad Dog clip that we played earlier. I'm going
to play it again in just a second here, guys,
if you can get it ready. We totally glossed over
the way he pronounced Los Angeles at one points. You
say it like that, I have no idea.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
But let's again Christopher mad Dog Russo.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
He's a Hall of famer. He does not like premature
celebrations of championships. He would prefer you do it after
you actually win the championship. That's why he's a Hall
of famer. Here's how we started his show yesterday after
the Knicks lost.

Speaker 7 (19:02):
Again, with James Dolan. We congratulate Jim for his championship.
I want to congratulate the President of the United States.
I guess I never saw him, but I mean, I
guess he was at every Nick game known to man
in the nineties. Court side now I never I guess Mike'
sat with him. I was at every one of those games.
I don't remember him. But we want to congratulate the

(19:23):
President of the We want to congratulate Tracy Morgan. We
want to congratulate Ben Stiller. He of course of the
of the met Gala with the you know, big playoff game.
We want to congratulate Benny. We want to congratulate Timothy Chalamaye,
who goes back about four years with the Knicks. But
we want to congratulate the complete unknown. We want to

(19:43):
make sure he gets a thank you. That's how we
want to congratulate Mike's Caapachiiti SCAPATCHI.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Let me pronounce him right.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
He's my trainer who was a huge Nick fan. His
son Ryan.

Speaker 7 (19:53):
We congratulate him on their championship. We want to congratulate
Rob down in Fort Mill, South Carolina. He won Tommy
in Los Angeles. We want to make sure Tom gets
a pat on the back as far as his title
is concerned. How about Spike got to congratulates bike late
John Starks will congratulate Johnny never won one thanks to

(20:13):
a one for seventeen outing, but they'll better late than
never for Johnny. Stephan Marberry, who's got comments from China.
We want to make sure we congratulate, congratulates Stephan Marbury.
That is Clyde, who is still the you know, if
not the the second greatest nick of all time. Convince
Clyde for finally having a Mike Green a lot Marv

(20:35):
a longtime voice. John McEnroe who came across the pond
to have an opportunity to go there ls last night
and dancing in the hallway. We want to make sure
we congratulate Johnny. We want to congratulate h Oh Derek Jeter.
Uh never watched the nickname of his life. He's from Michigan,

(20:57):
but we'll make sure we congratulate him. If the fifty
three years Eli Manning knows little something about winning, we
congratulate Eli and the wives. We congratulate Uh, the Sandy
Montag who you know if he if he represented wem
Beyama he'd be on the other side of the court.
But we we want to congratulate the great montagu for

(21:18):
a title. Uh what a job the Knicks did in
this series and the fact they won all these games
in a row and you know ended fifty three. Want
to congratulate Leon Rose, that's important, Mike Brown, Tom Tibodeaux
who put the ball club together. We want to make
sure Tommy, I think with all the great Frank is solo,
who goes back hundred years with Jim Dolan.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
We want to.

Speaker 7 (21:42):
Congratulate Frank, Mike Wilbergo who I know him and Jim
uh you know, uh share cocktails. We want to congratulations
to Mike, whose sons Zac got married in East Hampton
this weekend, which.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
You think it was going to be Youngers.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
He's Stampton this weekend.

Speaker 7 (21:57):
So we want to congratulate Mike for you know, following
Knicks for so long and having a Sam Godpper and
his family.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
IOWA saying if you could just isolate Los Angeles, please
just him say Los Angeles. I am told we have
breaking news.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Here, breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
Guys news just in from the NFL network and the ESPN.
They're both the same anyway. Right now, Chiefs quarterback Patrick
Mahomes as a new contract as the team added two
years onto his existing deal. It goes through twenty thirty three,
and the value of his contract now is worth five
hundred and four zero point seven five million dollars. According

(22:41):
to the report, the average annual salary I'll let them
do the math, will be sixty four million dollars beginning
per season in beginning in twenty twenty seven for Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
But so rich Man gets richer. Huh, yes, every penny.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
Yes, a billion dollar contract. It's never going to be
it's not gonna be jarring to see those numbers.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
No, here's Christopher mad Dog Russo saying Los Angeles oddly
in Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
It sounds even more intense when you hear it by itself.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah, and here Brunson, there's too much stimuli here my
homes five hundred million, Los Angeles. And now Taylor is
out at Madison Square, Geles. Let's go to him live.
He's reporting boots on the ground for Fox Sports Radio.
Taylor take it away.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Thanks you got, Sara Ripplis, Fox Sports Radio mad Dog
quick correction, first time longtime John Starks was actually two
of eighteen, not one of seventeen. For Fox Sports Radio
on tylorps FN.

Speaker 7 (23:46):
In Los Angeles, Hard.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
I was, I'm of mixing it up over there. It
was why was Sam?

Speaker 5 (23:55):
I take it back, It was a collaboration here. I
do believe they're both right. I do believe he was
one of seventeen and then hit his eighteenth shot to
go to of eighteen.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
It's gonna be so interesting, is he? What are you
expecting tonight? Honestly, just to be serious for a minute,
because it is a big game, and it's a game
I've waited for and a finals I've wanted to win
my entire life as a Nick fan.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
What are you expecting tonight from these two teams?

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Because it's so interesting. San Antonio now has the momentum
stole it away from the New York Knicks. But the
Knicks are at home and they're up two games to one,
and the opportunity they have to win an NBA Finals
to win a title will never be greater than the
opportunity that they have right now. They can go up
three to one and end the series tonight. What are
you expecting here?

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (24:42):
And what I'm expecting is a great performance by the
Wu Tang clan at halftime. I think they will absolutely
knock it out of the park and stay within their
time limit. I do believe that the Knicks will perform
a little bit more like the nervous team, and I
don't know how that's going to show itself exactly right,
But you look at a team that just sort of

(25:02):
got knocked off the rails a little bit that it's
like they had one thirteen in a row and then
all of a sudden, this one game, they seemingly play
a little different. They play a lot more stagnant, as
Mike Brown said, and then they don't look like themselves,
and that gives the Spurs some confidence, so much confidence
that I don't know if you saw this, but our
boy Stefan Castle said, I believe we're going to win
the next three games.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
And so every game that they've played where they earny,
series that they've played where it takes them a game
or two to figure it out, they've figured it out
and they have gone ahead to win the series. Now, Okay,
see it was obviously not a cakewalk, and this one's
in all likelihood, I mean, so far, it's got to
be the toughest test, right, They lost the first team,
so this is their toughest test yet. But based on

(25:43):
previous activity, it seems like they can't figure out find
their confidence and then continue they're winning ways in a series.
I do believe you're going to obviously see Karl Anthony
Towns be more involved. You're going to see a lot
more movement from the Knicks, and I still believe one
of these two teams is going to have at least
one star in serious foul trouble.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
In the first When you say the Knicks are going
to be more nervous, it's odd to hear because this
is the team that is up two games to one.
This is the team that won thirteen consecutive games, and
they lost obviously in the last game. If they lose,
it's still two to two headed back to San Antonio.
If San Antonio loses, there down three one series is
a rap in all likelihood. And yet you still think
the Knicks are going to be the more nervous team tonight.

Speaker 5 (26:21):
Yeah, it's just the way it's to me, it's just
the way sports works now. Really in their own heads,
if they are really you know, confident players who don't
worry about results. All they're thinking about is process. That's
really all they're doing is thinking about process. But when
you're processing out there and there's five miss shots in
a row and you're at home and the crowd's like,
oh my god, Rad's getting Nancy, you just can't help
but react. And maybe you're forcing the issue a little bit.

(26:43):
Maybe you know, you don't trust a teammate in a
split second. And so yeah, I think because if you
look at the prospect of, oh, if we lose this game,
it's back to square one. They have home court advantage
in a best of three series, that just puts you
in a bad position. And you know, the idea of
winning what three straight games in San Antonio, potentially having
to win four straight games in San Antonio not realistic.

(27:06):
The Spurs are probably going to get at least one
in their home court. So yeah, I think if everything's
stacked against them right now, the Spurs are already down.
The Knicks are now feeling more tension that they haven't
felt at any point in this series.

Speaker 6 (27:17):
Dan, Yeah, you know, I just you look at the
Knicks path like throughout these playoffs, and because of the
way that the seeding went. They hadn't They weren't the
underdogs in the you know, the previous two series. So
there was so much hype with Game three that in
the other series had games one and two at home,
and yeah, there was excitement, but they were able to

(27:38):
then go on the road and you know, sweep the
Calves and sweep the Sixers and do so in embarrassing
fashion on top of like doing it with the Hawks
in the first round. I just I just wonder if
all of the hype just kind of got to them,
and to Mikey's point, like when we were talking about
the officiating earlier, like for the NBA, it sure seems
like it would be good to go back for a
Game six to New York with the Knicks up three

(28:00):
to two.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
Absolutely, you know, yeah, yeah, you start to wonder, at
what point is there going to be a point because
we're already at the finals, we're already at Game four,
so maybe this point doesn't come. But is there a
point where Mike Brown stops trusting his bench, where Mike
Brown says, oh, Leander Shaman gave me a one of
eight last game in twenty three minutes, should I maybe
peel that back to like fifteen minutes.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Hard to see him doing that at home, though, it
is right peeling it back the minutes. Those role players
usually play better.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
You're saying, maybe not until game five? Ye right, yeah,
potentially probably right say, And you can't do it.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
After a game after two games. I could see it
after one bad game from Shaman, who's been great the
entire play. Yeah, you got to give him a chance
to have a good game at home. I'll give you that,
right It's on Jalen Brunson tonight, right like it is.
We're talking about one of the stars in the league,
an unexpected star. People will put him in the Knicks
Mount Rushmore. People are calling him the greatest Nick of
all time. Those accolades only come if he closes the

(28:50):
deal here. And he hasn't been great in this are
you've been good? He has not been great in this series.
In a big game four, with a chance to step
on San Antonio's neck, he needs to be great, And
by great, I don't mean points. He needs to recognize
when Og is hot and get them the ball. He
needs to distribributard. They need to get back to towns
at the top of the at the top of the key,

(29:12):
Brunson kind of coming off the side, coming.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
Off the ball encourages movement.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Yeah, and Brunson needs to recognize who's feeling it tonight
and who's not. And the guys who are feeling it,
Brunson needs to be the guy that gets them the
ball because he attracts so many bodies, is he.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
Here's my only problem with that going into this right,
if you're saying it's got to be on Brunson in
this game, if the conversation going into the game is no,
we need Karl Anthony Towns to get involved more, then
he is naturally going to get involved more, even in
the fourth quarter, which is normally Brunson time. All you're
looking at in the series preview or the game previews
is a man Karl Anthony Towns hasn't scored in the
fourth quarter. Sure it's you know, of one two or

(29:48):
something like that in the fourth quarters. And so even
in the fourth quarter, you know they're going to say, hey,
we've got to stick to our game plan. Let's get
catch the ball, let's get this offense going. So I
think really the only opportunities is Brunton on a burner,
and it's like, forget this Anthony Carl Anthony Towns things.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
I'm on one.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
Then he can just you know, have a.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
Great game, or if it's close, doing the Karl Anthony
Towns thing and then brunts and closes them out like
you said, hey, because in the last two minutes, it
doesn't matter. It should be brunts and ball. And so
if that were to happen that formula, he could only
have eighteen points and it wouldn't matter because four of
those came in the end and it was big, and
he'd let Carl Anthony Towns cook.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
I would prefer brunts it have eighteen points. I would
tell you, If brunts it has eighteen points, the Knicks
are probably winning the game tonight because everyone else got involved.
And that's what the Knicks need. That's what made them
so special over that thirteen game winning streak.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
So Bored Up. Ricardo yesterday started a list of the
top fifty shows in his mind that are better than
Breaking Bad.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
Taylor, what happened is he Doggie has a trainer?

Speaker 4 (31:21):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Passed it?

Speaker 5 (31:23):
Continue?

Speaker 1 (31:24):
He has a trainer whose name he can't pronounce. It's
the only name he butchered was the name of his
own trainer. And I am telling Taylor for the third
time today, I want that trainer on the show tomorrow.
I do just what it's like to work out. You too,
Christopher Med We know you love trainers. He has a
like trainer. Everyone So bored up Ricardo. Taylor started watching

(31:44):
Breaking Bad a couple of weeks ago. He loves it.
It came up on the show Born Up. Ricardo thinks
the show is overrated. He says he has fifty shows
that are better than Breaking Bad, which is the Michael
Jordan of television shows, and yesterday he started that list,
so bored up. Ricardo here, if you wouldn't mind, please
take us through yesterday's five that you had better than

(32:05):
Breaking Bad and give us a new five today. All right.

Speaker 8 (32:07):
So we started with fifty one Breaking Bad, fifty Golden Girls,
forty nine White Lotus, forty eight six feet Under, forty
seven Sanford and Sons, and we finished with the British
Office yesterday at forty six.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
It's an outrage, it's awful, it's terrible. It's what allus
falls apart forty I blame us. Thanks, you're basically for
allowing him to do it. I mean, for allowing him
to view this dribble. What's the one that hurts the most?
Which one of all of them? Take all of them?

Speaker 5 (32:37):
Man, Golden Girls were definitely that classic.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Is he? Fifty one is always going to be No Jesus,
Thank God. He's out of the Mecca, reporting live for
Fox Sports Radios to God to the Company live. Taylor
Hippolis wanted to be close to the Mecca. He is
standing right in front of it. Go ahead, Taylor, Hey you.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Got tal Fox Sports Radio. I thought i'd chill saw
Stanley Tucci. I yelled Chucci and he said, nope, I'm
just bald radio fsh oh.

Speaker 5 (33:11):
I once that on a plane again.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
I waited for the R.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
I waited for the R. We can talk over the
doo dooo. I once sat on a play next to
Stanley Tucci.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Did you really yeah? End up story? Did you yell Tucci?

Speaker 2 (33:24):
No?

Speaker 5 (33:25):
I actually I said, you know what, I'm gonna do
my usual routine, fall asleep when I woke up. We're
leaving the plane. I'm like, heank big fan.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Taylor in his everyday life would never scream out touch right,
he's doing radio. Yes, and he's a different person, thankfully,
thank god. Yeah, so lucky we all right, Ricardo, take
it away, Sorry about that.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
No, it's okay. So we have number forty five.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Thank you for the music.

Speaker 4 (33:49):
Yes, we're gonna go with the fresh Prince of bel Air.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
That's a good show and not better than Breaking Bad,
but certainly it was a great show, right, great show.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
So you called Breaking Bad than Michael Jordan of television shows.
But according to Ricardo, and if I could bring in
the bleacher report list that we did once before, Breaking
Bad is actually the Ray Allen of a television show.
It's because he's number fifty one.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
O the time he can't say that is yeah, I
love Ray Allen.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
He just said it.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Keep going regard of number forty four. The Simpsons.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
On number forty four. So the Simpsons. This is the
first time I can't believe that's forty four. That's insane.
It's the first time I've actually had to think about this,
Like the Simpsons. That's some groundbreaking television right there, and writing,
I'm not certain it's not better than breaking bad the
Red Simpsons was.

Speaker 8 (34:37):
Yeah, the reason it's lower is because, I mean the
Flanderization of Flanders. I mean that started the whole thing
of you know, a character just being one thing. And
I think that the last I don't know ten seasons
haven't been as great as they used to be back
in the day.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Mikey A is such a great man. He is usually happy,
normally jolly, okay. He I've never seen him, I don't
think I've ever seen him upset. He wants to fly
to Sherman Oaks and just or fly down here I'm
sorry where Ricardo was and just stab them in the neck.
Like Stefan Marberry suggested, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
All right, So now we're next one three HBO Silicon Valley.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
What a great show. How was that in front of
the Simpsons?

Speaker 5 (35:19):
You know anything about Middle Out and the Golden Girls?

Speaker 1 (35:23):
It was Middle Out, right, I think?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
So?

Speaker 4 (35:25):
It was always blue, always blue, always blue.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Dan. Are you outraged by this list or what is happening?

Speaker 7 (35:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (35:31):
Anybody that puts the British Office behind the American version?

Speaker 1 (35:36):
I love the UK version.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
I think it's magnificent.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
And we got off on the rocks the American version
on the list. We'll see you are correct? Correct? What
spoiler alert? See? All right, go ahead?

Speaker 4 (35:51):
Ricardo number forty two. Yeah, the Twilight Zone.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Wow, groundbreaking television right there.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
I'm gonna trust you on that one.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
Rod Serling is one of the greatest writers of all time.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
I mean, it's radio. But Mikey won't even look at you.

Speaker 8 (36:04):
I don't think it can do you think he's upset
about these? The next one, he's going to roll his
eyes if you even.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Heard of it. Picture of this if you will, an
ordinary board up who can't put together a list?

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (36:15):
And yet you don't think it's that good of a show,
but you got an impression of of it. Right off
the bat.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Wow, of course that's legit of it. Go ahead and
pour up card.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
So number forty one, I don't know if I want
to hear it.

Speaker 8 (36:27):
Go ahead, Avatar the Legend of Korra, which I'm sure
you guys have never heard of it.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Sure, it's a classic. It's a classic here breaking because
it's on culture now, guys on cultures?

Speaker 1 (36:38):
How is that in front? We all, we all, we
all don't know what it is. But I mean, Stanford
and Son, are they still blue.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
In that one?

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (36:45):
It's not Avatar the Blue people. It's Avatar last Airbender's
side show.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
It's already.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
They should change the name already, you know, a fashion show.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Your credibility is shrinking more and more, right, and we're
only getting higher. Do you do you have another one?

Speaker 4 (37:00):
I mean I have number forty if you want to
go to Okay.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Well, is that where we end?

Speaker 5 (37:03):
Today's left stud doesn't like But that's not how they're
supposed to end.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
They're supposed to end. We've been through this. Oh now
you're telling me this is not gonna end at zero.
It's gonna end at one. All right, Thanks everyone,
