This is the best of Stu Gottson Company Live on
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
We are live at the American Century Championship out in
Lake Tahoe. It's the same day every day here, Dexter Fowler.
I mean, I haven't seen a cloud in weeks. How
about you don't say that? Don't all baseball player? So hey,
that's that's the that's the announcer's jink. This is your
this is your second American Century Championship. So I am
wondering here because you're the best dressed guy here. I mean,
(00:40):
the gear keeps getting better with each passing day. But
would you learn the first time around that you have
taken into your second trip here to Lake Tahoe.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
You know, what is my first time playing tournament golf.
So coming out here and having it keeps everybody scores
and and and count strokes and all that. Usually you
just count your own strokes and play some buddies. But
that's that was the biggest thing, like actually sitting at
the scaring table at the end and going through all
everybody's scores and having to keep up, Like you're like, oh,
I'm three pretty holes behind.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
How'd you get into golf?
Speaker 5 (01:10):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Just everybody else was playing, and my dad played when
I was growing up, and I thought it was too boring.
Speaker 6 (01:15):
I was like, but I wish I would have started then.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I started probably eight years ago, seriously taking it right,
and yeah, the games.
Speaker 6 (01:23):
I love the game. I'm addicted.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I mean, I saw you hitting on the range a
couple of minutes ago. I got to tell you. Me
and Taylor here we're thinking about putting a flyer on
your dexter f.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
What do you think?
Speaker 5 (01:32):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (01:33):
I don't feel like.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I don't know if I could win, you know, I'm
just I'm gonna try to go in there and put on.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
Some good scores and see what happened.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
You know, you got guys like Marty Fish and Paalvavski
and all them. But I've been playing, and so Smolty
has the Pro Tour right, so I've been playing in
that and that's kind of kind of got me ready
playing tournament golf.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
So it's good.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Nice, Dexter. You lead the league here in fits my
question to you, do you think I could pull off
that out?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
I feel like you could pull off anything if you
feel like you can wear it right, even me, look
at me though, I mean.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
No.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Anybody, anybody you want to get the right fit.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah, I don't think this will look good on me, man,
it looks good on you. I think Taylor could rocket
as well because he's confident. He's young and he's thirty one.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
Say you're not confident.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
No, I'm confident, but.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I'm fifty three. I mean, and I got this. You know,
I got a bit of a tummy.
Speaker 6 (02:25):
You know you're good? Yeah, you just got to get
a little bigger.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Side, Dexter.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
I love soccer and I saw that you are a
minority stake owner in AFC Bourne. Myuth, what made you
want to invest there?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
My neighbor, My neighbor's Bill Foley is one of my
business mentors. He lives like right next door to me.
So we'll go and we'll talk. We'll talk business and sports,
the whole nine leadership.
Speaker 6 (02:48):
And he came to me and said, hey, I want
you and Michael B.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Jordan to be a part of Bournemouth and he said,
we're getting it at this time for this and he
gave me all the numbers. I said, it feels like
everything Bill touch just turns to gold the Golden Nights,
no pun intended. You know his businesses, everyone businesses he
started has been successful. So when Bill says to do something,
you basically do it.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
And my friend Jimmy Arvola is the is the president.
Speaker 6 (03:13):
Awesome shout out to Jimmy. Jimmy's a good dude.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
He gets all the sales done right.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
It's all the sales.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
The best salesman I ever met. That guy.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
He really is.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yes, yes, yes, Uh so you got into it. You've
been into business for a while now. Told me that
when you got drafted, uh but you know into the
major leagues, that you also took down a second job.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
What was that all about?
Speaker 6 (03:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:33):
So when I got drafted, I I was a cart
tender at a real of course, didn't know how to play.
Speaker 6 (03:40):
We didn't.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
So you were driving around like serving drinks and I.
Speaker 6 (03:43):
Was picking the rain.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
I was cleaning carts and I didn't have to do
it right, but it's amazing.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Had to get it.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
I had to get out the house, all my friends,
all my friends were in college. I'm sitting here and
I'm like, what what do I do with my time?
I go work out and I just sit at the
house and be like where I go?
Speaker 4 (03:59):
We're gonna do?
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Ended up getting a job, But I've always been my dad.
You know.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
My dad used to ask me, what do you want
to do when you grow up? I said, I want
to be a businessman, right, That's what I used to
tell him.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yes, yes, so baseball player first and then and then businessman.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Yeah, obviously I love the game. The game was the game,
but I had fun doing it. Then I was like,
all right, it's time to it's time to go.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
What's the most valuable business lesson you've learned along the way?
Speaker 4 (04:22):
Here?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Most valuable business lesson is if you're going to do it,
believe in it.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Right.
Speaker 6 (04:27):
I think that's that's huge.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
You go out every day and it's like, you want
to believe in the product that you're that you're that
you're pushing, or or the company that you're with.
Speaker 5 (04:37):
Sure, Dexter, we have a game for you before we
get you out of here, Fair or Fowler.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
All right, it's a good game. I like for a
game like that fair Falor, Yes.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Cowler has to be the good one though, so Falor crazy, yes, okay.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
So if it's falor's something you agree with. If it's fall,
now we're in a pickle.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
If it's fair, that's that's okay, that's you.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Don't agree with. We're just gonna do it reverse. No, no, no, no, right.
It has to be something you agree.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
With something, Yeah, truly believing fair Fowler. Chicago is the
best summer city.
Speaker 6 (05:09):
Fowler. That means nothing better, nothing better than the summertimes
all the time.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
So my daughter goes So it's funny. She goes to Northwestern.
She's won two national championships on the lacrosse team there.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
But they leave at the best time.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
They she comes back home to South Florida when it's
getting nice in Chicago.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
Yeah. Yeah, they leave at the worst time, the worst time.
So yeah, going in, you.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Know, going into Chicago and like early in April, it's freezing. Yes,
And I remember what Barry Bonds is my mentor, And
I tell Barry, I was like, Barry, when you're gonna
come to me playing?
Speaker 6 (05:41):
Barry's like you see that. I'd be back there when
it starts turning greet.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
I'll be out there.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
I said, you don't better than everybody.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
It's so good.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
Baseball is getting too fast. Fairer fowler.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Fair.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
I don't think it's getting too fast. I think it's
the angers that Rob's made.
Speaker 6 (06:01):
Is helped the game, help the viewers. I think it's
helped everybody.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Actually, right, so that would be foulor I guess no,
that'd be fair, that'd be fair right now.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
I knew was going to confuse me. Yes, I knew it.
I knew it.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
Man, the guy who tries way too hard in slow
pitch softball, fair and foul.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
That's horrible. Yeah, man, Like we're really doing this.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
I get it.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
We're competitive, you're competitive. We see your competitive.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
But that's trash.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
That's how people get hurried. You got other people and
then they try to turn it up and blow.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Out fair and fouler, tricked out golf courts, falor.
Speaker 6 (06:38):
Like that like that.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
You know some music you know this a live right,
It's like it's like you're dressing like you want to
go out and you want to you want to really
feel the vibe and then you feel your swing.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Right. Yeah, I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
Last one I offer you, the atmosphere in European soccer
is better than anything American sports test to offer. Fair
and Fouler, Fair, Oh, fouler Fowler.
Speaker 6 (06:57):
I'd tip Fowler.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
It just depends on on the sport. But that's every game.
It's like that, So I mean I have to go foul.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Him, so that last one, fair Fowler. US men's soccer
is never going to win a World Cup.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Well yeah, fair, Yeah, I think I think they have
a chance. I think they showed us a little something,
a little preview, but I just think.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
That it's nothing soccer has been.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
You know, you got some young guys coming up, and
soccer in the US. In the US is is starting
to pick up a.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Little bit more.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
They're a little ahead of the time over and over
in other countries, but I think it's picking up over here.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
My favorite thing about Bournemouth is that you guys have
some US connections.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
Like Tyler is my guy. So he actually came out
to Wrigley. Him and Tedz came.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Out to Wrigley, and Tedz is, uh, his celebration is
a baseball swing. So I took him out there Wrigley
and we went in the cage and I said him
and Tyler, and I was like, let's see if you'll
get hit. So I had him on the cage, but
they could they can swing it, swing it. Yeah, not
a lot of content.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Right, Uh what's the best Uh? What's like the best
round you shot in golf. I'm just trying to figure
out how much money I shouldut it, yeah, because feel
like I should put some money on it.
Speaker 6 (08:08):
I think I shot a seventy six last my last
round here.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Okay, it's a tough course, man, it's a tough course.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
Yeah. Yeah. I played terrible the second day.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
First day, I played okay, first day, you know, out
here trying to get the lay of the land. I said,
I'm gonna go out and go low tomorrow and I
four plady like sixth day was to horrible, and I said,
I said, you know tonight, I'm on full sending so
full with cows.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
Yeah, and I came out here and shot a seventy six.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
I probably I probably was a little still a little inebriated.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Sometimes that's what.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yeah, all right, so we shouldn't put money on you,
Like maybe two three, you'll you'll tell us what I was.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
I'm in the top ten finish I'll put some money down.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Yeah yeah, Oh.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
I like the confidence, man, That's why you can rock
these outfits exactly.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
You gotta have it, you gotta have it, all right,
Dexter Valla. But I appreciate the time and join the
rest of your time out here.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Man.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
Thanks, thanks, thanks, thank you so much for doing this one.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
All right now with thanks to Dexter Fowler and Dylan
Dreyer for joining us out here. That is a guest list.
I am very proud of Dexter Fowler and Dylan Dreyer.
We're starting to slur our words because we've done nothing
but talk for the last four days.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
You just had one. I just had one subscribe subscribe,
but I don't even know what it is. I was
just trying to say.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
What I do know is Charles Barkley is holding court
right now on the driving range at the m Consentury Championships.
I went over, I said a lood to my friend Charles.
We had an nice and braise. He said he might
be able to give us twelve minutes at some point
this week.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
Twelve minutes. It was a weird number to give me
twelve minutes. There are certain celebrities here. Everybody's a celebrity,
everybody's a big name here. Yeah, but there's certain celebrities
here where you could feel their aura from miles away.
It's Steph Curry, it's Charles Barkley, it's Jack Wagner.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yes, it's Larry David, it's Jason Kelcey, yes, yes. Just
to give you an example of what Taylor.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Is talking about.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
The greatest football player who has ever lit, Jerry Rice
is four spots away from Barkley, and no one is
talking to Jerry Rice.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
They're only talking to Charles Barkley. By the way. Right
next to Barkley was Marty Fish.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
And I don't often give gambling advice, and I'm not
giving it now, but if you are going to bet
this event, the American Century Championships, and you bet on
anyone other than Marty Fish, you are making a big mistake.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
That man is dialed in.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
He's like, Stu, check out this new fade I've been
working on. So he's hitting it out to the first
the first flag here, Taylor, it's about a hundred yards
app I said, listen, depending on how you hit this
shot determines how much money I'm going to put on
you this week. He put it three feet from the hull, said,
I'm unloading the entire bank account.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
How about that?
Speaker 5 (11:16):
So I'm looking at the odds right now. Yes, Marty
Fish is the favorite. He's plus two to eighty five
to win this thing.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Plus two eighty five.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
Pavelski is second. But Pavelski won last year. He did
raining champ You got to think it's going to be
tough for somebody to go back to back. He's plus
two ninety.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Yeah, where's Romo?
Speaker 5 (11:34):
Romo plus eight hundred wow. Steph Curry plus four fifty
Smoltz plus four fifty.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Wow, So what are we thinking here? I'm thinking I'm
just going straight Marty, you know. I mean, Fowler was
pretty confident about putting him in for a top five,
top ten.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Anytime you wear the outfit that Dextra Falla did, you
never have to question that man's confidence and that man's ability,
because when you wear an outfit like that, everything else
comes second.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Yeah. I walked past Robert Sala before. You're right, Oh
my god, he's the best looking man here. This is
a looks contest. He would win it every year.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Serious, If it was a looks contest right now, Robert
Sali would be minus one thousand.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I think he may be the best looking man in America.
I'm not even joking. And for that reason, and that
reason alone, the gesture to kept him as the head coach.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
I mean, if we're.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Gonna be bad, you might as well have that good
looking statue.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
Sitting standing on your sidelines, you know.
Speaker 5 (12:23):
So when I saw Marty Fish.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Earlier, yeah, he's a good looking guy too.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
Marty Fish is a two time champion here at the
American Century Championship twenty twenty and twenty twenty four my
personal record book. The twenty twenty one didn't have fans here. Well,
there's a little asterisk next. So that's why for me,
his twenty twenty four to one carries even more weight
because it was like, can he do it with fans
in attendance? Marty Fish answered that question emphatically.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
So you will laugh at this when he won the
first one with no fans here. We came back the
next year and Marty was the first guest we had on.
So you know of me and Marty's friendship, you know
it's real and no insults, of the language of intimacy
amongst friends. And he sat down and the first thing
I said to him is do it when the fans
are here.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
Well, he got really mad at me. He didn't talk
to me like the rest of the week. He was
very upset. But you're right, yeah, well he did it though,
now he'll do it again.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
He did it twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Listen, he is by far the best golfer here. I'm
just telling you, like someone else might win the tournament.
But when Jack Nicholas says that he is the best
non PGA Tour player I've ever played a round of
golf with that's saying something. He is that good, So
we'll see if he can pull it off again this weekend.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
Live Weekday. Said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
You wanted to get into some NFL here. I had
no idea why we're in the middle of July.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
We're in like Tahoe.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
But I do feel like, in your defense, we have
gotten a little bit. You know, we've gotten too far
away from football because college football is right around the corner.
The NFL is a couple of months away. We are
not that far out from the football season starting. So
what is it that you want to do here?
Speaker 5 (14:08):
We're going to play a little game of Stu Gotts
or stunts. Oh wow, I've prepared some takes. I'm going
to give you the takes and you have to say
whether it's Stu Gotts.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
Or I feel like we package this game differently.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
In years, they're very different. They're very different.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
But what was the game that you really like? What
was the original name of this game?
Speaker 5 (14:26):
Buy or Sell? Bundy got Let's be very clear, buy
er sell is different than dil in or dill out.
And it's very different from Fair or Fowler. Vince Carter,
here's your boy, Vince. You want to say anything, Vince, Vince,
Let's go heels. Yeah, I mean, let's go heels.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
That's it. He set the table. Now I have to
go eat. What do I mean by that? Taylor? All
he does is scream things at celebrities who walk by.
Then he has me finishing. Who's coming?
Speaker 5 (14:53):
The crowd is going crazy for you? Check back here.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Oh really he's small for a full back, but.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
Powerful very He packs a punch.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
He really does.
Speaker 5 (15:01):
Last year you call them Kyle jozzenek bicks.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
It's a tugue blitter it is.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Here's Kyle Hamilton.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Yeah, he's a badass. This guy he looks like he could.
I mean, he doesn't look like a guy.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
He looks more like a guy you can win the Masters,
not a guy who is gonna give you a sledgehammer
when you come over the middle of an NFL field, Right,
I mean Jesus, all right, So we're gonna play.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
We're gonna play Stu Gotts.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
We're stunts here. And when we're done, I have to
go over to Vince Carter to eat. At the dinner
table because Taylor has set the table for us.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
First one, the Patriots are more likely to miss the
playoffs than to make it back to the super Bowl.
Stu Gotts or.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
I'm gonna say Stu Gotts, They're more likely to miss
the postseason altogether than make it back to the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Without getting into too much detail on this.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I know a lot of people want me to talk
about it, but I just think the whole Vrabel thing
it throws things off.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
It does.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
I don't care what anyone tells me. I think people
are looking at him cross out in the locker room.
If God forbid a player did that, he might cut them.
And so it's just going to be interesting to see
how the Patriots respond to all of this. But when
you consider the other teams in that division, the Jets,
the Dolphins, it's hard not seeing them make it.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
To the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
You know what I'm saying, Well, the Bills are there too,
So could there be one team from that division that
makes it to the playoffs because they win the AFC East. Yeah,
I could see that happening with Buffalo. Is it unlikely
the Patriots will miss the playoffs? Yes, But you're saying
once they get there, get all the way to the
super Bowl, and I'm saying no, so I'm going to
say studots.
Speaker 5 (16:38):
Yeah, so they add Aj Brown, So on paper, that
should be an upgrade over Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
But when you're a team like the Patriots, who were
pretty fortunate last year in terms of schedule, yeah, it
felt like a paper tiger schedule. And then maybe that
fact kind of got exposed when you play the Seahawks
in the super Bowl. Now they're getting the first play schedule,
so it's gonna be a lot tougher for them. I
do think they make the playoffs, but I do think
(17:05):
you're right that it's more likely that they missed the
playoffs then make it back to the super Bowl because
you're your one quarterback injury away, yes, from your season
being tanked.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
But you're also have that quarterback. So it really depends
on the quarterback. If he develops the way a lot
of people think he's going to develop, meaning if he
takes a next step and he gets even better than
he was last year, that.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
Could overcome a lot.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Like a lot of the stuff I was talking about
locker room Vrabel, all that goes by the wayside when
your quarterback turns out to be great.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
So we'll see if Drake May is going to be great.
I'll tell you this.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
They're at Seattle, they're home with Pittsburgh, They're at Jacksonville,
They're at Buffalo.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
First four games. That's a gauntlet right there.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
At Seattle, Pittsburgh at home, at Jacksonville at Buffalo.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Whoof, But maybe here's a plus for the Patriots. Yeah,
Drake May was supposed to be here this week. Yeah,
Drake May withdrew from the field and Drew Brees replaced him.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
Maybe Drake May withdrew from the field because he wants
to lock in for the season.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Maybe, but maybe not. Let's go through the schedule real quick. Okay,
I just want to read this to you. This is crazy.
At Seattle versus Pittsburgh, at Jacksonville at Buffalo home Raiders
home Jets at Chicago at Dolphins. Okay, Green Bay, Detroit, Chargers, Buffalo, Minnesota,
(18:22):
Kansas City, they get the Jets again, then Denver.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
The Patriots might miss the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Seriously, that's a tough schedule, man, Geez missed the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (18:32):
Drake May is gonna have to earn that contract, Drake
may is gonna have to turn into Tom Brady. We'll
see if he could do it next. Take here, this
is the year that Justin Herbert finally wins a playoff game.
Stu Gotts or.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
I'm tired of Justin Herbert.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
I'm tired of every year having the same conversation about
how great Justin Herbert is. And then the season starts
and he's in the MVP conversation for the first half
of the season, and then the second half they fade
a little bit, and then he gets to the playoffs
and he show I don't want to hear abou him anymore. Seriously,
win a playoff game? Do me if it just win
one playoff game? I mean, you look the part. No One,
(19:07):
no one in the history of the NFL other than
Derek Carr has looked the part more than Justin Herbert.
Do everyone a favor, allow us to stop having this
conversation every single year before the year starts, and win
a playoff game.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
But it's not going to happen this year. Now, I'm a.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Justin Herbert defender. And then I think the fact that
they got Mike McDaniel this year to be a OC
maybe that unlocks something in Justin Herbert's game.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Always unlocking something with Justin Herbert, and little unlock a
playoff win.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
I'm gonna take a little sprinkle on Justin Herbert MVP.
You do this thing where you bashed Justin Herbert.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
You right until he wins one.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
Yeah, and then for some reason, I feel like the
roles get flipped with your with your stances on Joe
Burrow because you.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Well, he's gone to a super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (19:51):
You give Joe Burrow every excuse under the sun, right
wing and go yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Trey just pointed at me because I said Joe Burrow
went to a super Bowl and he knows that's all
it takes.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Right thumbs up, come down. This is the year that
Justin Herbert finally wins a playoff game.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
You can't do that bum up, thumb up.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
That's terrible, terrible take. You lost your caddy.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
He said, he doesn't do takes. He just talks.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
That's why you give a side thumb. I mean, jesus,
this guy, he's lost his touch.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
This wingo next take here for Stu got Or. The
Titans can make some noise this season. In year two
of cam Ward bringing in Brian Dable as O see.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Well, well, it has nothing to do with Dable. I
mean this, I mean this.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Jackson Dart looked pretty good with Dable.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
This coach thought me, listen, win or lose. They have
the best looking coach in America. So it doesn't really matter.
All right, let me look at the schedule. I gotta
look things over here. I'm taking this way too seriously.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
In July, this feels like it's Stu Gots just because
make some noise, like the Titans can make some noise.
We're not saying that they're going to be a super
Bowl contender, but make some noise.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Well define, let's actually define make some noisees make some
noise making the playoffs?
Speaker 4 (20:59):
Is that what it is?
Speaker 5 (20:59):
I would say make some noise. Is you're entering about
week fourteen or week fifteen, you have a shot, and
you're at least in the hunt. You're in this.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
She'll making noises different for every team based on expectations
headed into the season.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
So you're telling me if Tennessee is at like eight wins,
they had made some noise nine wins.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Right, They're playing in a division with Jacksonville good team,
Houston's good team, great defense, Colts decent team, and that's.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
A tough division. Just pulling up the schedule real quick.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Make some noise the Jets, Philly, the Giants, Baltimore.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Actually looking at the schedule.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
If you're telling me making some noises eight wins, nine
wins and maybe a chance of going to the playoffs,
I'll tell you fine, and they'll make some noise to guys.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
Wow, look at Jerome Bettis Young.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
What you yelled about us yesterday? Go Irish Irin, that
was you set in the plate.
Speaker 5 (21:45):
I went to North Carolina.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
He sets that. This is what Taylor does. He sets
the table.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
He yells something quick when they walk by, and then
I have to go finish it off.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
Go ahead, next one.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
You gots ur stu. Aaron Glenn finishes the season as
the Jets head coach. Ye feels like he's entering this
season on the dead man walking side.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Ge knows Smith's the quarterback? I think yes, if not,
Clay is a Caid club Nick Kate.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
Club Nick and Brady Cook's always hanging around.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Yeah, well he is put it on the ball as
Brady Cook always hanging around. And if your season comes
down to Caid Club Nick saving it. Are you in
big trouble? Let me think about this all right, So
they're at Tennessee. Oh wow, I mean wonder why they
did that. One of those two teams will often want
to us start huh about that? Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland.
(22:42):
He'll be fired by week seven. Aeron will be gone
by week seven.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
St Gotts.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
I guess the next one here. The winner of the
NFC will come out of the NFC West Stu Gotts
or so it's basically rams Seahawks forty nine ers burst
the field because, let's be honest, nobody cares about the
Arizona Cardinals.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
No, it's a good question. Actually, who are some other teams?
Speaker 5 (23:11):
The Eagles, maybe a back season for the Commanders, Lions, maybe.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
A bounce back Packers. Right, it's not going to be the.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
NFC South Eagles, Cowboys, people like I like the Giants.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
I love the Cowboys this year.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Yeah, I know a lot of people do, which scares me,
by the way.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
Yeah, it's never a good thing when the Cowboys come
into the season with expectator.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
I don't remember the guest earlier this week who said
he loved the Cowboys, do you was it Trey it
was tre Actually he wanted to give his opinion that.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
I mean, that was a that has to take for sure.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
Jesus.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
So it's Seattle, San Francisco with the Rams. I'll say,
Stuc Gotts, it is coming out of the NFC West.
I think the Rams are going to the super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
I did final one here.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Yeah, Stu Gotts.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
Or the Chief's dynasty is over?
Speaker 4 (24:02):
Well, I thought it was over three years ago, saying
this forever.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
Man, Chief's dynasty.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Wow, you know I have I have counted out Andy
Reid before.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
I've criticized Andy Reid before, and man.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Was I wrong. And I don't want to do it
to him again because he's made.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Me look bad every time I've done it to him.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
My homes is just too good.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
He's gonna be healthy.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
Man. I'm tempted to say, Stu Gots.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I'm gonna say, Stunts, it's not over. The dynasty is
not over.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
I'm not saying they're gonna win a ton of Super Bowls,
but they got one left.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
And you don't want to Backspags into a corner.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
And I love Spags and I don't. He just sent
me a text this morning. He's golfing in Scotland. Actually,
he should be focused on football.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
Stu Gotts
