Speaker 3 (00:18):
Radio Fun Show.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Today, Taylor Twelman going to join us, ice Cube get
to join Us, and coming up at about fifteen minutes
live from Wimbledon. It's gonna be Patrick McEnroe.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Don't be angry just because you're saying it right. I
did a hissed at you right there, Izzy. I am
so confused.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
The United States appears to finally be good at soccer,
and I have no idea what the Celtics were.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Thinking by trading Jalen.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Brown to a team they just lost to in the
Eastern Conference semi finals in the Philadelphia seventy six Ers.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I'm sorry in the first round.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Right yep, trading them inside that division, inside that conference
and making the Sixers a better team than the Boston Celtics.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
So confused.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
It feels like they were just trying to get the
deal done before the USA Soccer match started, because it
felt like they were on some sort of pressured deadline
that they weren't on right, Like, yes, you probably ruined
some relationships or the relationships some by offering him from Milwaukee,
you know, so publicly, and even that you could say,

(01:31):
you could talk yourself off of being insulting because it's
Yanni Santeto Kumpa. Well, that's what I was.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Going to say.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Is it really that insulting if you're Jalen Brown and
publicly they dangled you out there for Giannis, one of
the best players in NBA history.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
No, because if you just want to go one for one, yes,
you've won a championship, Yes, you've won a finals MVP.
He's done that too, and he's got a couple of MVPs,
and he's got a deepoy and he's still thirty one
years old, So it shouldn't be insulting for him to
be dangled in that trade. But for whatever reason, it
felt like they were under immense pressure to get something
done immediately, very soon after the honest deal happened to Miami.

(02:07):
And you know, the new year starts, a new league
year starts, and to me, stude, that just sounds like
an ownership edict. You know, they changed ownership, and they're
probably looking at Jalen Brown's contract and when they have
to extend him and saying, wait a second, what's this
going to cost us? Like seventy million dollars annually for
a player that we're still not even that sure is

(02:28):
you know, belongs you know, top of the league, all NBA,
all second team MBA. So yeah, it just felt like
pressure from up top to get something done. And they
convinced themselves on Paul George. Maybe because Paul had a
decent series against them, Maybe because Paul they know they
can move on from him without any you know, hesitation,
without any real fear of ruining anything that they've built

(02:48):
so far. So I think the most embarrassing part for
them is, like you mentioned going to Philly, right, the
team in your division, Yes, the team that just came
back and beat you in the first.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Because I think Celtic fans would say, hey, if you
feel the need to trade them, if it's economics, if
it's you just want to get rid of the guy.
He's not good in your locker room, do you have
to trade him to someone? We have to face, you know,
fifteen times a year and potentially in the playoffs, right.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
And the other thing is is like I look back
at this and think, you know, they for years people
in the media were just like, I think it's time
to break up Brown and Tatum. I don't think they
can win a championship together. And it's almost like they
got stubborn in the front office and said, no, I
don't care what you think, We're going to win a
championship with these guys. Absolutely loaded up the roster and

(03:36):
they finally accomplished it.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
They did it.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
And so when you come off of a year where
you didn't have the same type of talent, not only
was Jason Tatum out for most of the year, but
your supporting cast was not what it was before, you're
going to make a judgment on the one player who
was basically carrying you throughout. That tells me it's not
about basketball. It tells me it's about finances and it's
some sort of personality. Because you could also argue, hey,

(04:02):
if it's about finances, move on from Jason Tatum. If
Jalen Brown is your Finals MVP is your main piece,
they obviously think of Tatum higher than that. So they
went with Brown. And it's an issue where you could
also argue maybe they've ruined the seventy six ers organization
right now because look at their plan. Their plan was Tyres,
Maxi and VJ Edgecomb. Sure the plan was built around

(04:23):
those guys. Obviously try to share the timeline with Embiid
as much as possible. But now you get Jalen Brown
in their Taylor. Do you think Jalen Brown goes in
there and says, fine, I'll be the third or fourth
option behind Maxi and Embiid, Or does Jalen Brown go
in there saying I have to have a monster season,
be a number one option and back up everything that
I've done in Boston.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
I think that's more likely. He goes in thinking that
it's going to try to be his team, But that's
a lot of personalities that you have to kind of
manage there. The counter I would have to that point
is he every team that has traded Paul George historically
has gotten significantly better. And I'm wondering here how many
teams are gonna still trade for Paul George. If Boston

(05:05):
makes the playoffs, He'll be thirty seven next playoffs. And
if you told Celtics fans before last season, Jason Tatum
with Terror's Achilles, they'd still finish as the two seed
in the East. They'd probably think that they'd be thrilled instead.
Look how they feel today. They're saying it's the worst
trade in Boston sports history. It feels like there's no
argument today that Boston is worse off than they were

(05:27):
this time yesterday.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Boston traded Babe ruth me.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
They traded it for money. They traded the greatest baseball
player ever for money. And this is just as bad.
I mean, if you just go by the people that
he was traded for, you could build an all Star team. Well,
you could say he's the greatest player of all time
because it was Shay Gildess, Alexander Yes, Demontis de Bonis,
Victor Oladipo, Danilo Gallinari, Jalen Brown, seven first round picks

(05:56):
and four picks. But this guy is somebody's goat. Yeah,
because that's.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Incredible, But is he It's a great point you make
about Philadelphia and because in Bee thinks it's his team, Max,
he thinks it's his team. Edgecombe says, Hey, one day,
it's gonna be my team, and Jalen Brown's like, nah,
all you get the hell out of the way.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
This is my team.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
Well, Jalen Brown's on Twitch telling everybody that Joel Embiid
is a flopper. Remember that after the playoffs ended. Yeh,
so that that's gonna be now. I'm sure they can
hash it out the way you would assume Tatum and
he could have hashed out whatever issues. I'm sure they'll
do it. I'm sure you know, Mbiid can swallow his
pride a little bit because he knows he's probably has
the most championship ready team that he's had since twenty nineteen.

(06:36):
But it clearly is you know something that is going.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
To have to be addressed, is he Where was your
level of surprise that it was Philadelphia, because in all
the lead up to the Jalen Brown it felt like
we never really heard anything about this Philadelphia team thinking
about even making this move. And a point that we
made earlier on the podcast, every mock trade that we
saw for Jalen Brown, this would have been the worst one.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Yeah, by far. I would have put two teams on
the no trade list if I was the Celtics and
I'm dealing Jalen Brown and it's the Sixers and the
Miami Heat. It's the local rival, the closest rival literally geographically,
and then you know the rival that you've had over
the several years. Last thing you wanted Jalen Brown putting
on a Heat uniform the way Ray Allen did. So, Yeah,

(07:21):
it was. It was quite shocking, Like I literally took
a little nap, woke up and looked at my phone,
and I thought I was being pranked. Like I thought
it was being pranked. And yet Stu Goats there was
an NBA All Star on my phone, a former NBA
All Star, who said, Who's immediate reaction, I'm just all
I'm gonna tell you is he's not a Miami Heat player,
I'll say, all right, or former Miami Heat player. First reaction,

(07:41):
I think Boston won this trade.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Oh I hate that guy. I can't stand that guy.
Whenever Hee's zigging, he needs this zaggy.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
I don't even know if that was historically that's been.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
You and I hate myself, I do. That's a that's
a good pull, Taylor.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
I thought immediately to myself, Brad Stevens is very good
at his job. I think he's very good at his job.
Like I'm thinking to myself, they make this deal. There
has to be another deal in the works after this,
and you're telling me no, I was discussing it with
you earlier.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Yeah, I'm not sure if there's definitely not another deal,
but this wasn't. You could tell this deal wasn't made
with the idea that they have one already in place,
already in the works. It's just, hey, for whatever reason,
we need to get off this Jalen Brown. And I'm
just gonna say contract, we need to get off this
Jalen Brown contract and then find a way to continue
whatever it was we were doing. You could argue that

(08:34):
they say to themselves, well, hold on, we just won
what was it, fifty six games largely without Jason Tatum.
So now if we just flip that and go just
Jason Tatum without Jalen Brown, we're probably gonna win a
good number of games. If you look at the on
off numbers that Tom Haberstrow posted earlier today, it's pretty
damning for Jalen Brown and games without Jalen Brown. I

(08:56):
want to say they were thirty six and six over
the last few years, and so they can convince themselves that, hey,
we have this order to get to you know, to
not have to worry about his contract. We can bring
in another guy that, hey, when he was on, can
give you, you know, can blow up for an entire
quarter or half, maybe even a game. And yeah, we
can probably recreate what we did last year with Jason

(09:16):
Tatum as our lead instead of Jalen Brown, and Paul
George is my number two. Derek White still there, who's
probably the most important piece of that team. It's not
named Brown or Tatum. So I think they can convince
themselves that they that they can still be a really
good team and that Brad Stevens still did a decent
job with what he was forced to do.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
It is odd or I guess validated what it is
you just said that the fact that on FanDuel the
odds for Philadelphia jumped very high to them getting out
of the East, making it to the finals, winning an
NBA title, they jumped up with Boston. They're still one
of the favorites, meaning their odds didn't go down nearly
as much as you would have thought they would go

(09:56):
down after losing Jalen Bratt.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
So maybe there's something to what it is you're saying.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Yeah, and there was a time right after the honest tradehere,
I think Boston was still the favorite. Yeah, it's again
to the East, so yeah, it tells you what you
need to know there. What's up Taylor?

Speaker 6 (10:07):
Is he?

Speaker 5 (10:07):
According to Kurt Goldsberry, Dunksen three, which is a reputable
basketball analytics website that uses van stats and projections, says,
Jalen Brown is the eighty seventh best player in the league.
Where is the disconnect? Because the eye test is telling
us he's a top twenty player in the league. He's
a second team All NBA selection, he's a Finals MVP,

(10:29):
But his trade value and analytics are telling us, No,
that's not even really close to accurate to me.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
It's style of play. To me, Jalen Brown in nineteen
ninety five is All NBA first team every single year,
right because he's strong, physical, quick, fast enough mid range
that's his goal every single time. If I'm not gonna
dunk it, I can rise up for this mid range.
You can't really reach, you know, my heights when I'm
pulling up, when I'm jumping straight up, and I got
a nice clean mid range jump shot. I think when you,

(10:55):
you know, play today's game, you really got to do
a little bit more of the Jason Tatum thing. It's
either you know, as what's the name of the website,
the podcast dunks three duncsan three's is all you want, right,
and so the mid range is not really your thing,
And so I think that's it's a style of play
thing for him. If if he were to want to
be more efficient offensively, he could be, he could, he

(11:16):
would require him to be on a team that says, hey,
I'm optioned one A at all times. Give me the
ball on the post, share the ball at the top,
give me the screen and roll. I don't think he's
going to have all those opportunities with Philly because it's
just going to be spread out. So yeah, I think
analytics does him a disservice because he's got sort of
an old school game. But can you win with him? Literally?
Have you literally have If.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You're Lebron James and you're looking over the landscape, and
he is, and he will take his time now because
he has the entire stage to himself, Philadelphia becomes a
bit more attractive.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
It does, I mean, is he? It does?

Speaker 1 (11:48):
If you're willing, if you're wanting to win a championship
and you're willing to play for the league minimum being
the fifth guy on that team, not that Lebron would
be the fifth guy.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
That's got to be attractive to him.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
My think about it, Thursday, Oh well oh really really? Yeah?
Has has Philadelphia quietly become the team that makes me
ruin it?

Speaker 4 (12:06):
I can take over that.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
I think he was good? Well, I didn't know that.
I'm sorry, Taylor. Taylor is a nick fan.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Though the Sixers make you more nervous than the Celtics
at this point, don't they?

Speaker 5 (12:18):
As a neutral right now, I would be rooting for
Lebron to go to Philadelphia one because it makes the
most sense in terms of going to a team that
Lebron could be the thing that puts them over to
the top and become a title contender. But also is
isy that black retro seventy six Ers jersey so nice
would be the number one selling jersey with with twenty

(12:39):
three James on the back.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
But here, here's here's my issue with Lebron and Philly. Okay,
how many years have we seen Joel Embiid not end
the playoffs either not in it at all healthy or
not end it, you know, playing well because he's injured.
Pretty much every single one, right except for maybe nineteen
if even if you have a lineup of bj Edgecombe, Tyres, Maxi,

(13:03):
Jalen Brown, Lebron James, and Joel Embiid, that entire team's
success is dependent on the health of Joel Embiid, because yeah, Maxi, Edgecombe,
jb and Lebron. Nice team not going to be a
favorite to run through the playoffs in next year's NBA,
which is absolutely loaded. So I think, yeah, the health
of Embiid. Embiid's history still has people hesitant. I think

(13:25):
Lebron is not by any chance taking his last year
potentially his last year and making it dependent on that
dude's health and then dependent on Embiid and Jaylen Brown
getting along like he's already been there with brand new teams.
He knows it's hard to get that chemistry that doesn't
feel like they're right fit for me.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
They're calling hawk porty. The Embiid insurance is that what
they're calling them.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Put it on the pole.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
I will tell you this, If I'm Lebron and I
choose Philadelphia, I get together with Jalen Brown and Edgecombe
and Maxie, and I tell Joel Embiid Hey, you're good
for the entire regular season. Just rest up for the postseason.
We've got the regular season covered. You be healthy for
the postseason. That's when we need you and Stu.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Adding to that, Stephen Gansey, the brother of seventy six
Ers GM, posted on Twitter a photo of his brother,
the GM Mike Gansey, and Lebron James together in high
school and just tweeted it with the eyes open emotion.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
That's what's really gonna get Lebron nostalgic. Oh, I went
to high school with this guy. Let me go play
for the Sixers.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
So they didn't even go to high school together. They
were just in a photo shoot together.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
That's all that matters.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Yes, that's all he needs, And you would agree this
GM has already done more than Darryl Mory.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
I mean, I will say though, getting Lebron on that
team will fix the graphic that people have been running
ever since the Jalen Brown trade because that one has
the starters as embiid, Maxi Edgecombe Brown, and Dean Wade.
Let's replace Stean Wade.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
Lebron Dean Wade. Any right, Lebron going to play with
the d Wade.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Reunited?

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company Live.
WHEKD said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Me and Izzy had been laughing this afternoon that sixteen
years we are sixteen years removed from Lebron saying I'm
going to take my talents to South Beach.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Sixteen years.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
It's a tribute to the man and his longevity and
how great he's been for so long that we still
care sixteen years later about where Lebron James is going
to end up in free.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Agency, not just hair stud Yes, when I heard that
Brian Windhorst said Lebron might make a decision today, yes,
I said, well that's all I'm doing today. I'm just
waiting for Lebron to make his decision. If Brian was wrong,
oh well i'll hear it tomorrow. But I am on
pins and needles. And it's not even just because it's

(15:53):
potentially the Miami Heat or whatever, even if it's the Warriors, well,
it's not the team and I would pick if I
were him, even if it's the war crazy interesting, even
if it's Cleveland crazy interesting, even though I think it
should be the Miami Heat. This is the best place
for both him and Bronni. It is crazy that it's
been sixteen years and that wasn't even the beginning of
his career. That was seven years into it, right.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
I'm not certain we should be caring because I'm not
certain what kind of difference Lebron James would make on
an NBA team at this point in his life and
his career.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
But we still care, and I think what we care
about is how.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Is he going to choose to lay in the plane
because it's going to be his final year? And is
he going to chase a ring? Is he going to
play with friends? Is he going to go to Golden State?
It's interesting, what do you got?

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Taylor?

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Was the decision for you guys? Aware were you moment?
Because I can remember exactly where I was for the decision.
I was on the beach in the Hampton, You're gonna say,
and I left. I left where I was so I
could get to a TV. And I remember thinking, there's
a lot of smoke that he's going to Miami, But
I think this is just a smoke screen. He's coming

(16:54):
to the Knicks. What a surprise.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
He wanted you to think that Taylor, he did.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Yes, the Hampton's huh like a regular thing for you
because you're from New York.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
Or when you're from New York, it gets so hot
that you need to go to the beach as often
as possible and go to that area.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
I don't remember. I don't remember what day the week
it was, but it was either a week get away
or a weekend get away, or maybe even just going
for the day. Sometimes sometimes you just.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Go for the day.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
I've realized as I've gotten older here, I like the
beach less and less. Oh my goodness, I like the
sun less and less. I mean, I gotta be honest.
It's glaring, it gets in your eyes. The beach, it's
tricky to walk through the sand. I don't like it
at all.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
This is why I bought a boat. You just eliminate
the sand from the equation altogether and just go straight
to the water.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Mikey, why are you shaking your head up there?

Speaker 2 (17:40):
And what's going on?

Speaker 7 (17:42):
Because I mean, first off, to Taylor's point, I actually
was in the ESPN tape room.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
I had to cut the decision.

Speaker 7 (17:49):
Yeah, which was honestly one of the worst days of
my life.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
But to the beach thing.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
We got invited July fourth to somebody's beach house, and
I am just so dread and going, Yeah, I do
not want to go.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
It's such a like I don't want.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
To sit there all day on the beach just be hot.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Yeah, No, I don't want to go.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
It's a drag, you know, get the sand off your
feet afterwards.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Pain. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
A lot of people living in landlocked areas right now
cursing all of you saying I would love a chance
to sit on a beach.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
Stu, you hit it one thousand percent. If you were
doing a pie chart for problems with the beach, Yes,
sand is like ninety five percent.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
I would say, tire, it's about ninety. I would say
parking and moving your stuff from your car to the
beach is another spot. If that is another maybe five percent.
If that's what you're doing, I would say seaweed if
you're in South Florida is another problem. I would say
trying to find a way to stay hydrated and not
be starving while you're sitting out and baking in the
sun is another problem. There's a lot of issues with

(18:49):
the beach.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Seaweed. Don't mind if I do It seems to.

Speaker 7 (18:54):
Me like the whole point of the beach is to
get yourself as uncomfortable as possible and then feel better
for a minute that I'm gonna sit in the hot sand,
I'm gonna have it all over myself and I'm sweating,
and then it's like oh, but then you get to
go in the water. It's like, oh great, now I
feel normal again for a second.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Yep, Dan, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Going to the beach is the opposite of the of
the decision. It's no decision at my age. Yeah, it
is no decision at all.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
And I'm taking my talent to the pool. Yeah, and.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
South Beach. Don't tell Lebron this, but it's supposed to
feel like one hundred degrees today in South Florida. Yeah,
today in South Florida.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
You you wanting Lebron and your recruitment of Lebron James.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
You just want him back.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Listen. I'm a man of reason, and I try to
make the most reasonable argument on any subject. Right, So,
if I'm Lebron James and I'm checking out this landscape,
I've already ruled out the Lakers. That was an easy one.
I feel like I'm going to rule out Cleveland because
he was on that golf course and he said he
doesn't even like going to his hometown of Cleveland. Yes,

(19:59):
and I'm sorry. I feel like Lebron James, he has
a prototype for the type of teammates he wants. I
don't think he wants to play with James Harden. I
do not think he wants to play with James Harden.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
He would drive him crazy.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
They would drive him crazy. Like I've said before, no
championship team will ever celebrate with James Harden in it
because he's not going to win one. Yes, and so
you eliminate them. If we're only talking about the teams
that are shown interest or finding a way to get him.
The Warriors in the heat are the final two effectively? Yes,
and yes, the Warriors sound like a great television show.

(20:31):
Sounds like a great documentary. Let's follow around Lebron James
and Steph Curry for an entire season. But again, we
talked about this, We talked about the names involved, who
talked about people who are not reliable in terms of
being on the floor for eighty two games, much less
one hundred and two games. So why not go with
the younger option? The guy in his prime and Giannis
and Bam and an organization that you won a couple

(20:53):
of championships with rather than go to Golden State, I
can start giving you a list of reasons why I
can go to Golden State. But I think the best
reasons for him to go to a team are the
ones in Miami. And again, you want to throw in
the Bronnie James thing too. There's no other franchise he's
going to get developed better. Maybe a couple other that
you can say are on par but you want to
bring Bronnie James and say, hey, we need him and

(21:14):
we'll keep developing him. Miami seems like the perfect place
for him.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
I guess if you're looking at it from this standpoint,
And again, sixteen years after him saying he'll take his
talents down to South Beach, we're still glued to our
televisions and our phones wondering.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
What Lebron is going to decide. It is fairly amazing.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
But if it gets down to winning a championship and
not really taking a pay cut, meaning still getting paid
reasonable amount of money to play basket, say, all things
being equal, at the age of forty one, I guess
the heat makes the most sense right in a wide
open Eastern conference, playing with playing with Giannis, having Bam
as your number two, going to a place you're familiar with,
and then the kid is an important part for Lebron James.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
To be able to leave your kid in the hands.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Of Eric Spolstra is probably the thing that makes the
most sense for Lebron James.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
You have talked me to this. I can't believe it.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
I knew, I knew you listen to reason. You know
what's funny is, while we're sitting here worrying about where
a forty one year old is going in free agency,
what are we doing watching Serena Williams play wimbled It
losing speaking of things that haven't had that happened, you know,
twenty years ago. It's crazy. Also, she's playing a joint.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Right, she's down five to three in the first set. Yeah,
I tell her so.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
I have a small qualm with Chalms. Friend of the show,
Sham Sharaniah.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yeah, be careful.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Yeah, with Chums.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
When you say that BOMs, when you say the Lebron
decision can happen today, what I do, what I think
any reasonable person does. You turn your notifications on for Champs.
So when I put my notification on for Champs and
I get a buzz on my phone, I'm thinking in
my head immediately, my first thought is Lebron made his decision.

(22:49):
Where is it? It can't be Jack Landell is returning
to Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
Okay, yeah, it's Landale. First of all, I respect that man.
He's going to Atlanta. Really, I was hoping he would
go to.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
That returning to Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, I had no idea he was there in the
first place. And why should we respect that man? It's
a nice player, Okay, nice.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
Player did some decent things with the Rockets last year.
Nice little player, Oh the Rockets.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
That so, Stu, you're you're good friends with Choms. I
think I crazy to say it. I think Shams considers
you almost a mentor of sorts.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
He does. No, There's no question about it.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yes, I've given him a lot of guidance throughout the
throughout the years.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
I think I think one of the guidance you could
give back to Shams the way that mister Beast games
the YouTube system with multiple channels for other languages, where
he has like a Spanish channel, a French channel. Shams
should do that where he has a main account for
the superstar notifications, right, and then he has a secondary
account for all the ancillary moves.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
That's where you do tell him.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
That's where you put this boy, Jack Landeau, Yes, the
Landell account.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Yes. First of all, Landale also a professional athlete named Jock.
Who doesn't love that guy? Come on, I'm trying to
think of other jocks.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
I mean, Vaughan.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
There's the jos Jack Peterson, Jack Peterson. Yes, there's no
K on that one.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
But still there's joc right, yes, there's no que. Yes,
Dan Byer.

Speaker 6 (24:11):
I was going to say Jock Ewing from the Great
television show Dallas, but that was a character, so I
didn't know if it would if it would fit, and
I believe it was spelled j O c K.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
Hmmm interested ah what wait, Jack Jones, Jock Vaughn. Is
that a jock?

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Jock John Jack?

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Yes, this is truly Jock.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Okay, So, Taylor, what you're suggesting is Shabs's main account
is just reserved for the superstars, and then he has
a secondary account for lesser.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
News, right, correct, and then he can monetize both of them.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
Why would you follow the other one.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Who subscribing to the Jack Landale True Notifications on for
that one.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
But to Taylor's point, he's got enough follower is that
enough people will follow him that he can monetize it.
I mean, I'm not going to follow it, but he
can monetize it.

Speaker 6 (25:05):
Yes, Da, Taylor's basically saying, get off my jock. That's
what he's saying.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
It's just just for context. His Jock Lindell notification has
two point three million impressions already.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Yep, I'm telling you a nice little player monetize that,
though you wish to be afraid the Hawks.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
I would have multiple accounts for every player, just moniz
Mikey's laughing. I would have a Ja Morant account, a
Lebron James account, a Jacques account.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
I mean, he can monetize it. He is right about that.
Why do you consider me a mentor of sorts?

Speaker 1 (25:43):
And why do you always use mentor of sorts when
talking about mentor?

Speaker 5 (25:47):
Because yeah, I feel like you can't have a ton
of mentors. So if you just if you're in there
coaching tree, per se, you're a mentor of sorts, because
I don't if you asked, Sham's no offense to you.
If he ask Shams, who's your mentor? I don't think
he would say you. I don't think you would be
the first name out of Shams's.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
He would say, of sorts right for me? I think
his mentor is Woj. Yes.

Speaker 5 (26:10):
If you ask Shams who his mentor is, he would
say Whoaj. If you ask Shams, hey, list out your
top twenty mentors, you might get an oli.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
You know what, that's the new list. Get Shams on here.
We're gonna do top twenty list of mentors, five at
a time for four days.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
I don't want to waste this time. Eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox. That is eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox. How should lebron.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
Land the plane? Let's do some sports radio?

Speaker 4 (26:35):
Do it? Well, let me ask you, because you know
I convinced you that Mimi heat makes the most sense
for him. But where do you think he's going to
end up?

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Closer State, Golden State?

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Even with your eyes closed?

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Yeah, well I did it last night with my eyes closed.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Okay, I did, And so you're seeing what?

Speaker 3 (26:49):
So I closed my eyes.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
I saw him playing a lot of golf with Steph
Curry possibly showing up the Lake Tahoe next year.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
He's really into golf.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
I think he wants to end this with his friends
and a decent shot at winning an NBA champion.

Speaker 4 (26:59):
Didn't expect Lake Tahoe to make an appearance there. You
know what, I did not think about the golf. I
did not think about how golf forward he is now.
Like it's almost like you're right. He was planning not
to be with Lake Tahoe, not to play on the
in Lake Tahoe, but to be with Steph Curry and
to hang out with his boy and you know, at

(27:20):
least be respectable playing next to him.

Speaker 5 (27:23):
So I have an idea that hasn't been thrown out yet. Uh,
Lebron's main rival during all this it has been Steph
Curry per se. But if you had to pick a
team whose main rival is who would you say?

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Golden State Warriors or the San Antonio Spurs.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
Okay, So it was neither of those two teams that
I had in my mind because I was thinking when
he was in the Eastern Conference, a team who very
clearly has a star on the way out. You extend
an olive branch to the Boston Celtics and say, I'll
go play with Jason Tatum.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
It's not a bad idea, but that's how you had,
I guess in Cleveland and Miami that was his main rival.
But man, that was a long time ago. Well yes,
but here we are still.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
Caring about where he has up in free agency.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Because I mean, he's he played, He played against the
Golden State Warriors for four straight finals. Tailor. I think
that sort of makes it more of a rival than
the Boston Celtics, does it. It's actually a really good question.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Yesh, does Lebron get a statue in LA? How does that?

Speaker 4 (28:21):
How was that going to work? Just one? Yeah, he's
gonna get one. He'll probably get one.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Well, does he deserve one?

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Yeah? They won him a championships, stayed there for a while,
he broke the scoring record all time there. He's got
so many moments there. He's gonna get his whatever he
wants over there.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Really, well, you say that with such confidence. Okay, I
think the Lakers are upset with him.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
I think the Lakers think they Lebron probably should have
finished his career right.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Here in LA with this deed. Right.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
Uh No, I think the Lakers are good moving on.
I think the Lakers are not wanting to overpay Lebron
for the number three guy on a team. You don't
really have those type of salary slots anymore where you
can overpay three guys, not overpay, but max out three
guys basically in and try to fill out the rest
of your roster. And he's, frankly, you know, if we
were to be honest, he's probably a tier below the

(29:05):
Max guys, if we're just you know, making the elite
of the elite the main Max guys. So no, I
don't think that they're necessarily upset. I think they know
they've got Luca Magic, and they've got Austin Reeves, a
very fan friendly player, and yeah, I think they're gonna
be just fine.

Speaker 5 (29:20):
Stu on the topic of Lebron getting a statue potentially
in LA he put the Lakers put out a statement
basically thanking Lebron James, and then Lebron James did the
thing where he responds to the statement and he he
was fishing for some compliments I think at the end,
because he said no, thank you, truly in honor to
wear the purple and gold while trying to continue the

(29:41):
greatness and legacies that came before me, and then this
is where he starts fishing for compliments. Yeah, I hope
I made a few proud during my stat here's.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
A question for you. Yeah, let's say he does. Let's say,
as confident as I am, it's it's gonna happen. Lebron
James gets a statue. Statues are reserved for the greats, don't.
I don't look at him as a Laker great. He
is the greatest of all time. And if the Lakers
can build a statue because he won them a championship,
he is amongst the greatest of all time than if
the Lakers he won a championship with the Lakers, They're

(30:11):
going to celebrate it. They're going to find a way,
and it's probably gonna be whatever it was, the pose
from him breaking the scoring record. But yeah, I mean statues.
What about Pau Gasol. He won a couple and he
was some would say just as responsible as Kobe Bryant.
Yes for that nine and ten. Does he have one?
Should he have one?

Speaker 3 (30:31):
No, he doesn't have one. He deserves one more than Lebron.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
I mean he does, didn't metal World Peace win Kobe
Bryant an NBA championship Medal World Peace should have a
statue before Lebron James. I mean, seriously, yeah, tell us.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
So is he.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
The Lakers statues are pat Riley, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor,
chick Hern, Kareem abdul Jabbar, Magic, Johnson, Key, O'Neil, Jerry West.
If we were playing the game, one statue has to
go for this Lebron statue to go up. For some reason,
what statue go?

Speaker 3 (31:01):
I like that one statue has to give me the
statues again.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
Please, pat Riley, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor, chick Hern, Kareem
abdul Jabbar, Magic, Johnson, O'Neil, Jerry.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
West, Well, Elton Taylor.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
Definitive. That's just I mean, it's the first.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
It's the one that I was gonna say, chick Hern
because he's you know, he's a play by play guy
on radio, so it's but he was there forever.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
Saying on radio, dismissing we're on radio.

Speaker 8 (31:28):
Exactly got a point I wanted to do, though not on TV.
I'm still choosing radio and we're still interested.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
In Lebron James. Unbelievable. Lebron does not deserve a statue.
If I had to take one out. I take Shack
to give lebron one.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
What I would he left?

Speaker 5 (31:53):
If you're back to back is if we were playing
the game, one statue has to stay. I think most
people would pick Shack.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Don't you dare disrespect chick Hearn? How dare you all
of you? Seriously?

Speaker 4 (32:04):
I mean, Shack did more than kareem.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Dan is the judge of our Mount Rushmore. Mondays, we
hope that Victor Hovlin back on the show tomorrow. I
am told really, yes, you missed the first one?

Speaker 4 (32:30):
Is he?

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Perhaps you will not miss the sands? Taylor, do we
have an order here for the Mount Rushmore Monday? Mikey
is our champion. He gets to select the topic this week.
Taylor always decides the order randomly.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
Yep, so the order is going to be Izzy Taylor, Mikey,
Stu and it's team and group nicknames.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
All right, Izzy Taylor, Mikey, Stu, Iowa, Sam give me
the open.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Thank you there?

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Yeah? You the guy with the spreadsheet tending to work.
Do you find yourself meeting up, picking up as you're
dragging in your cubicle to start the week. Are you
ready to put the sports back in sports talk? Well,
then you're in luck because every Monday we climb the mountain.

(33:18):
We talk the legends and we argue about things the
truth you can't handle, the truth that absolutely do not
matter and are completely subjective. This is Mount Rushmore Monday, Monday.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
It is a Mount Rushmore Monday here on a Monday,
on a Monday. It's the first Monday we've done this
in a long time. Is he you are first here?
I have an idea of who you're gonna take you?

Speaker 2 (33:48):
I do?

Speaker 4 (33:49):
I write it down, fold it up the show.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I figure pandering to Dan Dan during go ahead, I'll
write it down. You want me to write it down?

Speaker 4 (33:57):
Please please write it down?

Speaker 7 (33:58):
Hold on, look, can we get confirmation there's a golden goose?

Speaker 4 (34:02):
There is.

Speaker 6 (34:03):
Every episode from now on there will be a golden
tickets for sure.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Okay, okay, magic goose?

Speaker 5 (34:11):
Is this based on how the team was or how
cool or like, how iconic the nickname is?

Speaker 4 (34:16):
It could be an individual nickname. Am I right?

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Group group?

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Oh, it's only group. Yes, ah, yes, okay, No, I'm glad,
I asked. I am very glad, I asked. I still
have a great first pick.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
All right, Taylor, what was your question?

Speaker 5 (34:29):
It's a good question, though, I just want to get
clarification from the judge. Is this based on like, how
how good the team was, how iconic the nickname is?

Speaker 3 (34:38):
How cool?

Speaker 4 (34:38):
The nickname is coolness? Dan Byer? Yeah, coolness?

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Well he said coolness. He never does that. We normally
don't ask the judge what he's ranking.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
These that's huge checks my board.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
But the judge might be thrown off. You never know, Yeah,
you never know. Maybe it's not coolness.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
I mean, I'm so glad I asked that question because
my first pick would have been crazy? What was your
first pick? Magic?

Speaker 3 (35:00):
I wrote that down?

Speaker 4 (35:01):
Yeah, well apparently no, it's got to be a team
so or a group. So I'm going with the Steel Curtain.
I didn't write that down.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
Don't love that pick.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
That's my picks.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
It's too obvious, steel curtain? And was it cool? Was
it still curtain?

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Cool? Times? It's obvious for I mean, is it cool
preventing teams from scoring? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
It's the nickname we're talking about We're not talking about
what they actually do.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
It's up to Daan, not you.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
So I have this team.

Speaker 5 (35:29):
I had this team ninth on my big board in
terms of overall nicknames. But since Dan Bayer hinted that
he could be based on coolness, they're jumping all the
way to one. For me, it's Houston Basketball, five Slam Jama.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
That's pretty good. I was pretty listen.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
That team never won a national championship. Guy Lewis was
the coach or in my wheelhouse right now, Taylor a game,
Elijah on Drexler, Franklin. I mean that's a good team.
I guess it's cool.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Larry Meshaw, I mean, how about that is.

Speaker 4 (35:59):
Yeah, no idea that if you like fraternities and all
that stuff, I guess it's cool.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
I mean that's a great if you're doing it on coolness.
I mean, if I still have a Jama, I'm jealous.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
Scratch that one off.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
That's a cool nickname.

Speaker 7 (36:15):
There's a still I'm gonna go a different route.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
I'm gonna go based on how iconic it was.

Speaker 7 (36:21):
So I'm gonna go with Dream Team.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
It's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (36:24):
It's a good pick. Fifth on my big board.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Dan, They're trying to influence you all the time. They're
always trying to say that my picks are terrible.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
When I get to there's a golden place, you usually
have a good pick and then you ruin it.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
Yeah, so I'm assuming this is going to be a
good pick.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
All right, So I have the swing pick here, I
have two for based on this on coolness, fab five.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
It's my first pick.

Speaker 4 (36:49):
So that's your pick.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
Well, that's my first pick.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
Now that now the team was cool? But was the
nickname cool? I like to pick just asking questions?

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Fab five is pretty cool. Yeah, I know you're asking questions.
I mean, suddenly you turn to a journalist. Man, Geez
twelfth on my big board. I liked you better when
you tell me I Jay Isaiah Joe was going to
make a difference.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Black Mamba was so high on my big board.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
Gotta tell you the one I wrote down, Yes, killer Bees.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Why are you giving that one away?

Speaker 3 (37:24):
I don't know are you drafting that one?

Speaker 4 (37:26):
No?

Speaker 1 (37:26):
I'm taking I'm gonna uh Panda to Dan Dander Legion
of Boom.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
How about that legiond of Boom.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
In there for fun?

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Whatever?

Speaker 5 (37:40):
That was a great pick. Number two of them my
big board fab five boom and if since it was
number two of them on big board, do you think
I would have just picked it but you didn't.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
I didn't, but you did.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
You left it for me, but you did.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
So Now it's back to Taylor or not. Mikey, I'm
sorry it goes to me. Uh and I'm gonna go again.

Speaker 7 (37:58):
I'm gonna go more iconic.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
I'm gonna take Murderers Row.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Of course you are. I don't even know what team
that is.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
That's great team that got the Yankees.

Speaker 7 (38:07):
Did you hear I heard Ricardo from from from here.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Yeah, it's a team that got swept by the Red
Sox over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
No, that's not Murders, that's that Murderers Row is upset.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
It's the Buffalo Bills in the nineteen seventies.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
That Yankee team that got swept by the Red Sox
is the inmates running the assignment murders.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
They're one back in the a l E. Terrible.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
How could you say that? Rible?

Speaker 5 (38:30):
Terrible?

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Jesus, no one cares about the Yankees. By the way, Taylor,
I was just in New York City. You're right, the
Knicks had taken over and no one cares. And New
York can go twenty years without winning anything and no
one would care about it.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
Seriously, they're saying beast mode is not one of my options.

Speaker 5 (38:46):
No, So with my round two pick, I'm gonna go
to hockey. Surprisingly really, I'm going to go to the
Philadelphia Flyers.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Broad Street Bully, Broad Street, BULLYBBS, great.

Speaker 5 (38:59):
Boy, just me, memorable fits the team identity checks all
the boxes, does it?

Speaker 4 (39:03):
Really?

Speaker 3 (39:04):
It's up to Dan?

Speaker 4 (39:06):
I said, sorry, I'm shook.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Make sure we asked dad if that checks all the
boxes at the end and you got two picks?

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Here is he? Is it me? Okay, you're shook. You
got to I'm shook. And I'm going to take a
very colorful group of purple people leaders terrible.

Speaker 5 (39:20):
I think this is one of the worst names.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Purple.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
Yeah, one of them.

Speaker 4 (39:25):
They're purple and they eat people. At least I know
what team that was on. And holy guacamole, I'm going
between two basketball and nicknames, and I'm going with the
recency bias. I'm gonna say Splash Brothers.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Okay, it's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (39:42):
It was.

Speaker 4 (39:42):
I'm not gonna tell you you know what, I'm gonna
go ahead and tell you, because you guys can leave
it there for me, you cannot.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
But that was ahead of the Bad Boy Pistons.

Speaker 5 (39:52):
All right, so funny enough. Just double check and make
sure nobody picked us. Nope. Is he mention the nickname magic?

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Yeah? I was.

Speaker 5 (40:03):
I'm shocked he didn't get he didn't just go with
this team instead. Yeah, the Showtime Lakers, Showtime.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
It's pretty good. It's fine. It's no steel curtain.

Speaker 5 (40:13):
You're right, it's better.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Could they scored steel?

Speaker 4 (40:17):
Is steel Steelers.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
It's in the name, you know.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Making sure Taylor notes no, no, no, no no. That was
on the Mount Rushmore of first round picks. Absolutely was
mikey A.

Speaker 7 (40:32):
I was considering the Bad Boy piston since as he
mentioned them.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
But I just.

Speaker 7 (40:36):
Really love this name and maybe maybe it's just something
for me. I love Monsters of the Midwife. Great, Mike.
I'm so debating taking the sack exchange here. It's a
great name, absolutely fantastic name.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
All right, I have a great name.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Before I get to my last pick, I have two
picks here, run t MC that's my first one, and
some bord.

Speaker 4 (41:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
From debating between the sack exchange, the Big Three, don't ye, hey,
don't no, no, no, no no, let's.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
Not call out all the names. So we have dueling
Golden State Warriors backcourt nicknames, the Splash Brothers versus n TMC.

Speaker 3 (41:20):
Yes, yep, oh, the Hobbs, the Smurfs.

Speaker 4 (41:27):
Anybody gonna take the Grit and Grind Grizzlies. No, yeah,
fo defensive flip.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
I'm gonna take the Bash Brothers. After all that, I
am taking the Bash Brothers. It's a good name.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
It's a cool name, Bash Brothers, It's my cool name.

Speaker 5 (41:49):
Shirtis I think this is coming down to me and
Mikey what I'm like, Sure, this is coming down to
me and run t MC.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
I'm gonna I'm gonna take a big swing here, Taylor.

Speaker 4 (42:06):
I'm going with the greatest show on to That's where
I was just gonna go.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
Out about them, for damn.

Speaker 5 (42:14):
It's great pick. Jesus, I think.

Speaker 4 (42:22):
Correct show on Turf, not even the best nickname of
the greatest show on blank not mad yet, I'm still
gonna win this. This is not that you would strong Defense,
Steel Curtain, Purple People leaders, all right, So you were
just hoping for a Golden next Taylors left.

Speaker 5 (42:42):
This is another one that is he mentioned and for
some reason he's he's is he has mentioned more good
team nicknames than he has picked. The Stress, the bad
Boy pistons Man.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
Yeah, it's a good pick.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
It is bad boys come out and play. But if
ever a nickname kind of summarized what they were, I mean,
they're pretty good, bad, pretty good? Is it? Mikey next?

Speaker 5 (43:13):
Yep?

Speaker 3 (43:14):
Killer bees were good, but they didn't kill it.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
It is it just me?

Speaker 5 (43:20):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (43:21):
So it's I'm choosing between the Four Horsemen. Oh that's good, Jesus.
But the one that I'm actually gonna pick I like
better just because it's obviously more recent than the Four Horsemen.
The Big Red Machine.

Speaker 5 (43:34):
That's really good, all right, more Rewinter, it's it's it's
rare to go, more recent and.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
Still up the seventies.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
Yep, it's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (43:43):
What a decade I was born in that decade.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
I left so many on the table.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Jail Blazers, Yeah, yeah, great one. It's a mockery.

Speaker 5 (43:51):
The Empire.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
The Empires not bad, although again.

Speaker 3 (43:55):
It's the Hogs, the no name Defense, I mean.

Speaker 1 (43:58):
Yeah, the Heatles, Yeah, of the Eagles, well, the Big Three.

Speaker 4 (44:02):
The Redeemed Team.

Speaker 3 (44:03):
All right, Dan Byer, what do we think here? What
are we thinking?

Speaker 6 (44:07):
Actually, I just want to I want to start out
with a question, and this is to Taylor. Taylor, what
year were you born?

Speaker 4 (44:16):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (44:16):
So I'm just trying to decipher if Taylor is rich
in sports history or if he's one of those poser
kids nowadays who wears Nirvana t shirts or wears you know,
because all of Taylor's were babe, he wasn't even born
yet when these names were popular, So I thought that
that was interesting. I think that mikey a is top

(44:36):
shelf in a lot of his dream team Monsters of
the Midway, But neither of those two had the golden ticket,
which was picked and was picked in the third round,
and it was picked by a person.

Speaker 3 (44:53):
Who warriors thing. Huh, Yes, that's.

Speaker 6 (44:55):
What I was trying to get to, by a person
who decided to go with a team by the Bay,
and that would be Stu Gotts run TMC was the
golden ticket today in the battle of the warrior nicknames.

Speaker 4 (45:10):
So Stu is top two. You guys.

Speaker 6 (45:12):
Also left Alt Pony Express, which I'm a fan of.
Early nineteen eighties SMU Lethal Weapon three at Georgia Tech
was another good one, but the golden ticket was run TMC,
so Stu's in the top two. Gosh, this is this
is really tough. Five Slam of Jama is good. It's

(45:32):
between Taylor and Stu for the top two spot. So
is year four Mikeys three. I hate the Fab five.
They ruined my childhood? The Fab five? How did I
know that at Boom Taylor is the winner? Five Slama
Jama and I will I will believe that Taylor loves
history and didn't just want to be trendy.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
I mean, how am I to know they ruined your child?

Speaker 4 (46:00):
Serious?

Speaker 3 (46:01):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (46:01):
I realized my mistake. Three of my four teams are
from the seventies, three of the four from the seventies.

Speaker 3 (46:09):
Not knowing the topic.

Speaker 6 (46:13):
The winner almost came down to my Murderer's Row joke.
Whoever laughed the loudest was almost going to win. But
I didn't think that that would be fair.
