Speaker 2 (00:24):
This is the best of the Ben Maler Show on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
I can't tell you how many times I have to
hear Game seven the two greatest words in sports, my
fatast am I the only one of the things. Most of
these Game sevens blow like, most of these Game sevens
are a complete waste of time. Now, it wasn't as
bad as some of the other Game sevens over the weekend,
but we start out in Oklahoma where we did have

(00:52):
Game seven. How the West was won and that was
the big event. Oh, you gotta clear your whole whole schedule.
Gona spend your old time as a couch potato watching
Oklahoma City and San Antonio. So I don't know if
you were watching this or not. I made sure that
I watched. I my loser, I admit that. So I
checked it out and Victor Wembanyam, I'm sure you know

(01:15):
by now I had a big gaming to twenty two points.
And the real hero if there is such a thing
for San Antonio Julian Champenny. Now, if you had a
name that is spelled like Champagne and you pronounce it Champenny,
I'd like to know which relative f that up, because
you have a name Champagne. That's how it looks if
you look at the spelling obviously like Champagne and then
it pronounced Champenny.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Who goofed? I've got to know.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Anyway, he had eighteen of his twenty points off the
money ball, and the Spurs win. They never trailed in
the fourth quarter, so they have advanced.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
They despite all the odds saying Oklahoma City at home, Oh,
it's so hard to beat the champion at home, but
the game seven all you can't do it. Oh my god,
Santa on one. So they went on the road and
they will now host the Knickerbockers in game number one
of the NBA Finals that'll be on Wednesday. Now, the

(02:13):
better story is in the losing locker room. As we
look back to the big event of the weekend and
SGA had solid stats. He didn't get to the line
quite as much as he normally does at home, and
it wasn't twenty times. It was a little less than that,
actually a lot less than that. However, he didn't not
the one that killed him. He didn't play particularly great
down the stretch. There were a couple of plays late

(02:35):
in the game that I jotted down on the notes
app that were not very impressive. However, if you look
at the full picture here and everything that went down,
the story is not about SGA sucking. The story is
about his partner in crime, and that would be chet
Holgrin getting absolutely cooked for his play home Grind had

(02:58):
four points, four rebounds. He played thirty three minutes. Thirty
three minutes, he had four points. What was he doing
was he was he picking his nose during the Seriously,
how do you only have four points and four rebounds
the guys seven to one or something like that?

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (03:16):
All right, so that is a good jumping out point.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Let us discuss the question is it.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Fair or foul?

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Fair or foul to pin this devastation situations devastating thunder
loss in game seven on chet Holmgren, who was getting
absolutely cooked after the game on Saturday and all the
way through now as we're doing the show in real time.
So my thoughts, I've got inflatable summer fling and instruction manual,

(03:46):
and we will combine all Let me put this guy
on hold one second, say there we go. All right,
I put all of these things together, and we are
going to go pop is what we're going to do.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
We're gonna go pop, all right.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
So a after an expedited booth review, a very quick
booth review, we have determined this is one hundred percent
fair to chart broil Chad Holmgren.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
In fact, I don't think he's been ripped enough. He
plays in Oklahoma, this was a big market team. He
would be killed more and should he deserves it. The
guys about to jumpstart a two hundred forty million dollar contract.
He's a two hundred forty million dollar player in a corner
to the Thunder, and you had this ultimate heavyweight marquee,

(04:31):
the Spurs and the Thunder Game seven, the winner goes
to the NBA Finals right above the marquee, and you
had Homegren who was tasked with trying to slow down
win Banyama Wimby. And it's not just game seven. The
thing about this that people said, wow, was he played
a bad Game seven. Give the guy a pass. He
sucked in game six, he was trash in game six,

(04:53):
home gren in game six, and in Game seven with
a ticket to the NBA Finals on the line, How
did that go? Don't ask? It was cover your eyes.
Bad for Chet Holgman, the pride of Minnesota. As he
went out there and combined he had four points in
the closeout game, which didn't turn out to be a
close out game Game seven, they had another close out

(05:15):
game Game six. He had ten, so fourteen total points
over game six and game seven, and while he was
out there was minus twelve for the Thunder with him
on the court. Meanwhile, Victor wm Banyama ended up with
fifty points over the final two games and was plus twenty.
So you look at Juxtapo's these two guys and you're like, wow,

(05:40):
that's a thirty two point difference right there.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Thirty two point difference. Now, let's use some malor math.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Based on malormth In the final two games of the
Western Finals, Victor Wembanyama was seventy two percent better than
Chet Holmgren offensively in terms of the plus minus and
all that stuff went was sixty six point six percent better.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
The sign of the Devil.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Now, this was not not a matchup. This was a
talent audit. It was a wake up call for Oklahoma
City because Wemby's not going anywhere unless he gets hurt.
He's gonna be around for a while. And so this
was an audit and they did a home inspection and
check failed the home inspection.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
And you talk about the slim Towers lacking superpowers, and
that's ched Holmer and one of his nicknames, these slim
power didn't work out so well there for him in
these last two games of the Western Conference finals. So,
if you're great, this is kind of general. If you're great,
you rise to the occasion. Does anyone disagree with that?
If you're truly great, you rise to the occasion most

(06:47):
of the time.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Most of the time, you rise to the occasion.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
And when you're needed and it matters most you get
it done. That's why you get the big money. And
if this were a boxing match, this would have been
called the Unicorn versus the Unicycle because Wemby took him
for a ride, Ched Holmgren, just like a nice unicycle.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
And you look at the tail of the tape.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
One of these guys glides along and the other one wobbles. Wobble, wobble,
wobble is how.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
That goes there. And you saw.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
In this Western Finals, the last couple of games here,
you saw which is which is? Oklahoma City had two
chances to win one game in advance, and the common
denominator Ched Holmgren riding the vomit comet, And man was
he bad? And he played like a budget version of
Wemby that ships without batteries. They're so cheap they don't

(07:42):
even give you the batteries there. Well, I want the battery,
and we got to go buy the battery. Want I
don't want to buy the bat I bought the product.
Give me the damn product with the battery. I don't
want it. And he really was exposed, right, and he say,
was it old tech versus new tech? You can make
that analogy that Wemby's the iPhone Pro Max.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Whatever it is called these days.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
And then check the way he played the last couple
of games of the Western Finals. Chet Holmgren like a
dusty old rotary phone. Just Dusty, Dusty Dusty, and one
guy's a generational unicorn and the other guy just a
really tall guy that got two hundred and forty dollars.
Good for him, Wemby Slenderman domination, right, slender Chet is

(08:27):
slender and you need some prayers, you need some rosary
beads and that kind of stuff to help him out there.
And you simply can't guard the generational alien allegedly. Oh,
they didn't have the greatest performance of all time. At
the end, he did enough. And then you got Cheded Holmgren,
who's built like a coat rack, and that's not a compliment.
And so Wemby, who you can shove around, although didn't

(08:52):
happen much the last couple of games there, and so
Cheded Holmgren playing like the inflatable two tube man. You
ever seen that when you go buy a car dealership
they have the tube Yeah, the tube man with the
arms flailing away. There, that's how ched Holmgren played, although
I think tube man would have done better. An inflatable
tube man would have done more defensively to stop Victor Wembanyama.

(09:16):
Meanwhile flipping the page. But we're not going far here, No,
we're not because for months and months and months we
have been fed propaganda. You and I have been fed
propaganda the next great dynasty is just getting started in
Oklahoma City, and that these are the salad days, these

(09:39):
are the glory days. They're here again for the Thunder
and turns out not so fast. My friend, oops, who goofed?
I've got to know. So the question, now here's the question.
What happened to the shade jogis Alexander thunder dynasty?

Speaker 3 (09:59):
What happened to him?

Speaker 1 (10:00):
So something strange happened on the road to immortality. That's
something odd happened here Oklahoma City. I'm determined based on
a minutes long mall of investigation. They lost cell service
and they took the wrong exit to Thunder. They were
going about eighty five miles an hour on the interstate
and they sell went out. They were in a kind

(10:21):
of shady part of town. And then so they took
the wrong exit and they couldn't find their way back.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
They could not find an on ramp. And that's it.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
So they sucked at a time you absolutely cannot suck.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Elimination time.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Two close out chances and over two obviously two face
plants and just pathetic. Blown out in the Alamo in
Game six, non competitive. It was like they were re
enacting the wrong part of history in the Alamo. And
then in Game seven at home, as we've talked about here,
in Game seven, the Thunder never had a lead in

(10:55):
the fourth court, you know, they never had a lead
in the fourth quarter, not one lead in the fourth.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Court order, and so they lose.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
And yet again here we are sitting yapping away as well.
That's not a dynasty. That's a disappearing act, is what
it was for the Thunder. So all thunder, no lightning,
just a lot of noise. And it turns out the
SGA dynasty is on ice right now. It was more
of a limited limited series, if you will, not a

(11:23):
multi season epic. He did not, And of course they'll
always have twenty twenty five, that is true, and they
did win, and all those wonderful gigabytes that were wasted online.
This is the next big thing. No one's gonna stop
the Thunder. Nobody can beat the Thunder. Blah blah blah
blah blah. Shove it up, you tuckers. Yeah, So it
turns out that was what happened in twenty twenty five

(11:45):
was the equivalent of like a nice summer fling, a
nice romance kind of summer get together, have a good time.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
That's it. And you're like, well, that's true love. No,
it wasn't true. And this happens.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Every time a team wins a championship in the NBA,
somebody writes, Oh, this is gonna be the beginning of
the next big thing, and we'd like to welcome the
Thunder to the Championship Graveyard or the dynasty graveyard, now
the Championship gave yard, but the dynasty graveyard. And I
know the's a lot of people seeat I'm very happy
about this. This is now the third straight new dynasty.

(12:18):
I went back and looked at my notes. This is
the third consecutive year that a new dynasty in the
NBA has gone couput see you later. They flamed out
before title number two. You might remember what we just
talked about, the Thunder, But prior to that, the Loston Celtics.
Oh they're so set up. Oh my god, that's Celtics
with Tatum and Brown and then snap crackle pop. Now

(12:41):
there's Chat or the Celtics. You're gonna trade Jalen Brown.
So that's that's pretty much dun Ski's it would appear,
and then you got the Nuggets, Remember the Nuggets, NICOLEA Jokic.
Nobody can stop the Joker. Nobody can stop him. The
Trilogy of Tease, it turned out, and that did not
work out. Everyone loves the next big thing, the next

(13:02):
shiny thing, the next big thing here until the next
big thing doesn't get it done. And with SGA and
a gaggle, I think they have like thirteen first round
picks over the next four or five years, the gaggle
of picks, the thunder will continue to hang around. I'm
not gonna sit here and say they're not going to
hang around, just saying to be a dynasty, we all

(13:23):
know the rules here. The rules are pretty simple. You
need to win three straight or three out of four.
You win two and then lose one and then win
a third.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
There you go. That's a dynasty.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
You don't win a dynasty title with one championship and
then a nice brochure.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
You don't. That doesn't count, all.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Right, Last word to the San Antonio side of things.
Another popular storyline from the media elites in the NBA
was all about the arrival and it's too soon. They're
ahead of schedule. That I'm talking about the Spurs here,
of course. So the question to look at the San

(14:01):
Antonio side of things, are these Spurs truly a head
of schedule in air quotes making the NBA Finals against
the Knickerbockers starting on Wednesday night? So San Antonio was
not supposed to be here. Now that's not my opinion,
that's the other genius' opinion. I thought they would win

(14:24):
Game six and lose Game seven, so I thought Oklahoma
was gonna win.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
So they won in Game seven. Good for them. I'd
rather see the Spurs and the Thunder in the NBA Finals.
The idea that.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
There's somehow ahead of schedule is I can't say what
I'd like to say.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
How about it's a bull shoy.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I can say that. I can't say the other thing
I want to say. It's horse manure is what it is.
And you know, San Antonio was not supposed to be here,
which is why they're exactly here. That's why. That's why,
and predictions. It's like astrology for sports nerds, is what
it is, and they love it. There's factions of the

(15:04):
sports media. They have all these models, these computer models
with AI, and you know, here are your chances of
making You have to pay your news. You have to
pay your news enough, what's wrong with you? And it's
all just it's about the same or worse than a
random guess. I say, maybe barely better than a random guess,
but not much, not much. And everyone is flying by

(15:27):
the seat of their pants. That's really the lesson on
these They haven't done enough, they can't win. Everyone is
just flying by the seat of their pants, and that's it.
Their ad libbing. Nobody knows anything. They just don't. The
Spurs didn't just get ahead of schedule, according to the
top media dopes, they tore the schedule up and they

(15:48):
threw it down in the river, and they told the league,
deal with it, that's it.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
We're here, so you know, suck it. What are you
gonna do?

Speaker 2 (15:55):
You know?

Speaker 1 (15:56):
And they skipped the line like they knew the bouncer,
like the bounce so it was a cousin or something
like that, I know the bouncer. Yeah, we're good, completely
ignoring the instruction manual. How could they possibly ignore the
instruction manual about needing experience to make the finals and
all that stuff, and so again, so much for paying

(16:17):
your dues.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
They didn't really pay their dues.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Oh man, So and we can I guess we can
stop yapping about Wemby being the next thing because he's
in the finals now, so he can't be the next
thing if he's here. And this is the first Spurs
Finals appearance since that grumpy old man Greg Popovich was

(16:38):
the coach in twenty fourteen, and they had Tim Duncan
and Tony Parker and Manu into all those players, and
now they have the seven foot four cheat code and
they've unlocked a higher level.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Is it level two? Is it level three? What level
is it? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Everyone predicted pay Oh you gotta have patience. And when
Banyama's like, oh god, there's some just some dominance, we'll
go get some dominance.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
And there you go. And so this is a renaissance.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
The Spurs are back in the NBA Finals with a
shot blocking chandelier in Victor.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Wimbam at this point.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
And so the new generations asked about this earlier in
the week and I was like, well, Wemby's just gonna
be around like the next twenty years unless something bad appens,
his body falls apart. He's gonna be here, think about it,
be until like twenty forty six, Maybe not quite that long,
We're close to it.

Speaker 2 (17:33):

On YouTube, Subscribe, hit that thumbs up icon and comment away,
and oh we got a hum dinger, hum dinger of
a story here from the flea market of football.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Now. We were hoping to have a bevy of NFL
transactions to break down as we anticipated heading into the
new month and some Fugesi date on the NFL calendar
that there would be some movement Now We thought the
big story would be A J. Brown who would go

(18:41):
from Philadelphia to New England. While that did happen. AJ
Brown did go to the Patriots. That goes to the
back burner. A. It's been talked about for five months
at least, and B it got upstaged. It absolutely got
upstations that most of the time these dates failed to deliver.

(19:02):
You't all excited and you get a tie and some
socks and you're like, well, I didn't really want to
tie and socks. I don't mind them, I just don't
really want them. I'm excited about that. However, this is
one of those days that did not disappoint. We have
so much to discuss in this four hours of conversations.

(19:23):
Blank canvas, we're gonna paint a mosaic, well possibly a
finger painting that we have decided. I've made the executive decision.
We were planning on doing the NFL Book Them. Now
the NFL Book them's a thing that we do when
there's not that there's nothing going on, a little slow.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
This is not a.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Day for the NFL bookm So we're gonna push it
back twenty four hours. We've made the executive decision. The
powers vested in me in the Mallord militia. So the
NFL book them will be tomorrow unless there's eighteen trades
tomorrow and then we'll push it back again. As far
as we know, it's going to be tomorrow. So we're
going to start out in Los Angeles. Everyone talking about it,
and I feel bad for my friends in Seattle. They

(20:02):
had their little championship where they got a bogus two
point conversion. It's all over. It's all over. Just why
even bother playing the NFL season. We know how this
is going to play out. So if you didn't get
the news, we learned that the la Arims has said
bye bye to Jared Verse, the star young defensive player,

(20:23):
and a gaggle of draft picks, and they have packaged
that in a nice box and sent that off to
the Browns in exchange for the NFL's defensive player of
the year. Miles Garrett is in la aram How do

(20:44):
you like that, suckers, Cleveland picked up a first round
pick we in twenty twenty seven? Who cares? And some
other draft picks. Day two picks. Nobody cares about those?
Losers care about these? You're not a loser, right command,
all right, so let us discuss the question.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
You make the call, how do you grade the Rams
acquiring the preeminent defensive player in the National Football League
Miles Garrett from the Brownies for a Gaggle of Picks
and Jared Verse. So my thoughts on this.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
I've got Amazon reviews, Teenage Mutant, Ninja, Turtles, and Midway Games,
and we will combine all of these things together and
we are going to say.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Cowabunga, dude.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Yeah, all right, so ay, we immediately go right to
the Mala report card. We don't waste any time, there's
no need to waste time. The Malor report card and
what does it say? Well, this is where if you're
new to the show, this is where we sift through transactions,
the sporting landscape, the ethos of sports and tell you

(21:56):
what's real and what's bogus and what's face and all
that for gayzy, downright fraudulent. That's what we do here.
So on the Mallord report Card. Now, I'm gonna be fair.
You probably, oh, you just gonna be a Ram Homer.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
You're gonna suck up to the Rams. That's what you do.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
No, you shut your mouth, all right, I'm not some
fanboy with a microphone.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
No, no, no, So the Malor.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Report card reads the La Rams get in a plus
plus plus you can ram on me. Yeah, come on,
now you get Rabbit in the super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
They're back, baby.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
The rip not that they left the Rams back, now
the Browns. And I'm gonna be fair to the Browns too.
I'm not gonna bash the Browns. It's easy to get
on the radio and goof on the Cleveland Browns. And
I now have a lot of friends in Ohio. I
know it's southern Ohio, northern Kentucky. I had a great
time in Cincinnati, which is not Cleveland, northern Kentucky. That only,
but I'd met a lot of Brownsers. There were people
that drove down from Cleveland to hang out with me.

(22:58):
We got Dick and Dayton. I'm worried about to Dick Star.
He might have a heart attack when he finds out
he mightn't even know yet. The Browns traded Miles Garrett.
So on the Male report card to be totally fair
to my friends in Ohio. The Cleveland Browns get an
F on the Mallet report card. So congratulations to the Browns.
They failed, and the fact that the Rams picked up
Miles Garrett in his prime, in the middle of his

(23:21):
athletic prime. He got two or three really good years
left coming off the historic Granted it was some stat
stuffing on a bad team with the Browns, but still
twenty three sax season. You gotta be joking all right now.
If you read the Amazon reviews on this trade, this
is a testimonial. It validates that the La Rams have

(23:43):
the top front office in football, and they have been
able over the years to manipulate the cap, which is ridiculous.
The salary caps a joke. These trades that keep popping
up and the draft. They do all of that really well,
and your team doesn't. Your team sucks at most of
that stuff. And so Cleveland traded the best defensive player

(24:08):
alive who's playing in pro football for a good player.
I'm going to kill the player they got and some
Bengo cards. F them BECs, f them becks. That's what
we all say here. And I would trade every fricking draftic.
I don't care. You're all a bunch of Dingleberris that

(24:28):
love your little NFL draft.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
You love it.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Give me a proven commodity and Jared Verse is a
wonderful player. I love the kid, and it does not
justify though, moving the face of the franchise. And if
you're the Rams, you make this trade out of ten days,
you make it twenty days, twenty times in ten days.
That's what you do here. Now, I do feel bad
for Jared Verse because he is now going to football

(24:53):
purgatory and the greatness that he would have gotten as
a Ram, and he had a little taste of it
and that all goes away. Now he's walking into an
impossible situation Verse where, yeah, he'll put some stats up.
I don't doubt that he's gonna get some stats because
the Browns suck and they're gonna suck the rest of

(25:13):
my life because they've sucked my entire life. And he'll
put up some numbers and say, oh man, he's playing
well for the Browns. And you know what of the
Brown's gonna do win five games six games every year.
They got no quarterback, they got no hope. They suck
all right, and we're gonna keep the beat going here though,
page two. So Brown's owner Jimmy Haslam issued a wordy statement,

(25:37):
and the key part, let's just cut through the bull crap.
The key part is Jimmy has Them, the Brown's owner
said trading Miles Garrett wasn't our intent.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Bad.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
You know what that means, he said, but this is
the right move for us. Close quote. That's Jimmy Haslam,
the owner, the con man. Some have said, who owns
the Cleveland brown So the question what did owner Jimmy
Haslem mean when he said the Miles Garrett trade to
the Rams was the right move for us. So let's

(26:12):
start with the obvious.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
I think you know this.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
It is the classic owner spin from a guy who
functions as the head of manufacturing. Jimmy Haslam is not
just the owner of the Brownies, He's the head of
manufacturing at the Factory of Sadness, which has been the
most consistent producer of bad football that we have seen.

(26:34):
And Haslam is straight up gaslighting the good people of Ohio,
the fan base there with what he's doing. He dropped
the word bad. He said that, just like that, right
after claiming it wasn't their intent to trade Miles Garrett,
which is always a.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Dead new Wight, dead new Hight.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah, now that's what that is. So you drop the
but and that is a tell and we have partsed
the words of many better owners than Jimmy Haslam, and
not few that are worse than Jimmy Haslam.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
But here we are.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
And so you see all that, and you're like, Okay,
it's more likely than not that Jimmy has On the
Browns owner is just pretending that this disaster was highly strategic.
Now I am going to workshop a conspiracy theory, and
I want you to tell me if you agree with
this or not. All right, so the truth and I'm

(27:35):
gonna go deep state Illuminati here. So the trade of
Miles Garrett happened because of Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett went
full teenage mutant ninja turtles, heavy on the ninja part
for the Browns, and he forced his way out of

(27:57):
Cleveland without ever saying it publicly this time now before
he made the mistake of going public, and the Browns
paid him a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
And now here we are.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
A couple years later, and he's been sent to the portal,
the transfer portal going out to La So, yeah, I
believe this was done behind the scenes. I'm buddy of
mine who ran into Miles Getgas was at some Laker
games hanging out with the Hollywood f's, and.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
I guess he liked that.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
And he gets a lot of speeding tickets in Cleveland
at night. If you don't drive eighty five to ninety
miles an hour, you get hit. It's like the Autobahn
in LA at night. So he'll love driving in LA.
And it was speeding and all that. That's how that goes. Meanwhile,
the Browns continue to operate like a ghost ship. All right,

(28:46):
Every once in a while they managed to draft a
truly generational player. That's it's the acorn, you know, the
whole blind squirrel in the acorn. So every once in
a while the draft a generational talent, they being the
Cleveland Browns, and everyone will get all excited all man,
and then they completely waste them, completely waste them, and

(29:08):
then repackage them for more picks. This is known as
the wash rinse, repeat cycle of Cleveland brown football. And
the shocking thing is a percentage of customers are not
smarter enough to realize they're being bamboozled. This is called duggery,
and they continue down this road because the Browns are

(29:30):
selling Wow, we've got three picks that are going to
be great Okay, you have no coach, you have no quarterback,
and you get on the list. It's insane and it's
just another chapter in the never ending bozo the clown
show that is the brownd This just changed their name
to the Cleveland Bozos. I wonder what their logo id.

(29:52):
I think we know, get a red fluffy nose and
some big shoes and then you're on your way. And
the Browns fans you can't trust a single thing. Jimmy
haslam spews out of his mouth. You can't do it.
And none of these right moves which Jimmy has them
talks about how this was the right move. He boasts

(30:13):
about these, none of these actually work out. It's like,
what are we doing. It's not football strategy, it is not.
It's just the chaos business model, which the Browns have mastered.
Now the last word here we mentioned you can ram
it all day and you can ram it all night.

(30:33):
So here we go by trading for Miles Garrett. Are
the forty nine ers now off the or the forty
nine Are the Rams forty nine ers?

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Or that are the Rams? All right? Are the Rams
now off the hook?

Speaker 1 (30:48):
By that draft pick in the first round when they
took ty Simpson in the first round. So again by
trading for Miles Garrett. Are the Rams now off the
knotty list when they waste a first round pick on
Ty Simpson?

Speaker 3 (31:03):
So some of you reached out to me C C.
Mallor you should have waited.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
Of course, the obvious answer to that is I have
a daily talk show to do, so I have to
do a talk show every night.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
I can't wait till stories are done.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
The other factor here is absolutely not absolutely not no, no,
no no. You don't draft a guy there if you're
all in now, it makes even less sense. Now, it
makes even less sense for the Rams to draft a
quarterback in the first round. They're clearly moving all of
their chips to the middle of the table. They're all

(31:38):
in the La Rams. They're going for another Super Bowl,
and you don't trade that amount of it, And then
you drafted a guy who's if everything goes right, it
just makes no sense, no sense. The Rams are living
in two different universes right now. They're chasing another ring
with Matthew Stafford, and they're at the same time raising

(32:02):
a toddler quarterback who hopefully won't have a hissy fit
on the sidelines and the Rams. It's like, listen, I'm
gonna microwave and slow cook at the same meal.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Well, no, you either slow cook it or your microwave it.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
You don't do.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
Both, dummy. So I do not think that this absolves
the Rams for drafting Ty Simpson at all. You picked
a rookie who's not going to help you while you're
desperately trying to win another Super Bowl, and instead of
getting whether it was a top rated And again I'm

(32:39):
not a big draft guy by any means, but if
you have the pick and you don't trade the pick,
get me somebody who's supposed to be a good wide receiver,
get me an impact linebacker or defensive back.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
You'll make one of those moves.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
And instead they instead of getting one of those players
the Rams, they have somebody who's gonna hold the clipboard
and get ten thousand steps walking back and forth between
the twenty yard lines on the sidelines there. And as
for the trolls claiming that La is reckless, I've also
gotten this in my inbox that the Rams are being reckless.

(33:15):
Yere trading away Jared Verse, who hasn't even scratched the
surface on his ability and then all those draft picks
for Miles Garrett. This is just reckless. And to that,
I use the word humbuggery because that is anyway thinks
that it's humbuggery, is what it is. This is for
the Rams the Goldielock Zone. Whether it works out or not,

(33:37):
that's to be determined. You went for it, and that's
all you can ask, right, You just want your teams
to go for it. And they went for it. And
that's the great thing. They have the top coaching football
nobody better than Sean McVay. They have the top quarterback
in the NFL, the reigning MVP Matthew Stafford, and everyone
outside of like two teams would trade for Matthew Stafford

(33:57):
right now, top wide receiver Pooka Nakua, and now have
the top defensive torpedo in Miles Garrett. And they're all
wearing the same uniform, the same laundry. There the La
Rams and Miles Garrett is going to go full midway games,
think Ram Page. He's gonna go on a rampitch. I

(34:18):
feel bad for my friends who are forty nine er
fans and Seahawk fans, not Cardinal fans, because they don't.
They're not trying to win their tanking. So I don't
know if feel bad for the cardinal fans, I don't
Aaron Donald.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Two point zero.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
In fact, there's rumors bouncing around the echo chamber that
the Rams are trying to coax Aaron Donald out of retirement.
And might I add well, happy days continue for the
La Rams. Super Bowl sixty one. You know it's going
to be played in the hood in Inglewood. That's right,
it's in La La Lands. Super Bowl sixty one in

(34:51):
February's on believe val Valentine's Day.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
I think Valentine's Day.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
It's mid February twenty twenty seven, and that will be
at so Far Stadium in the hood in Inglewood. Last
time they had a Super Bowl at Sofi Stadium. Let's
see what team won that. Oh, that's right, the Rams.
The Rams won last time. So again, sorry for you.
You know, see, how guys, can we do a wellness
check on JJ and Retten and no Stredinus and those
guys are just devastation. Just enjoy little punk a medal,

(35:19):
your piece of metal because it's now Ram town the
entire NFL.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
So there you go.
