Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boom Shaka Laca. It's our n bar Win, our one
ready to go. Here we are on the Ben Malor
Show podcast. We stay up all night to give you
a fresh pod. We thank you for listening. I love
hearing from the fans of the show that we're nighttime workers,

(00:21):
worked the overnight and now have graduated and it's pretty
cool you guys still support the show. It doesn't mean
a lot to us. We thank you for that. Also,
today we have the fifth hour podcast that's in fuego
unless it's not. But here in hour number one, the
Raptors have played the Elbow song return to Cender on
Kawhi Leonard for now. Are the Clippers going to be

(00:42):
stuck with the claw machine? We'll talk about that. What
do you read in to NBA teams leaving Lebron James
voice memos in order to recruit him in free agency?
And does broadcaster Jacob Toby have a lawsuit over being
whacked by this for an affair? What? That's a wild story.

(01:05):
We'll get to that as well. Play the hits, my man,
Play the hits. It's our number one on this Friday,
the tenth day of July. Here it is inside the
claw Machine. What welcome in the beginning of another night

(01:31):
of the band Mallor show. We are in the air
ev rewere as we chisel away the nocturnal hours, and
it is a narrative war Coast stuck cooast, border, the
border and beyond on the vast and stylishly powerful microphones

(01:52):
of fsr AMM nating live from the brook, the babbling
brook of the Sportsnook gon Teed Human, the world famous
Fox Sports radio studios where legends like Rich Herrera and
Craig Sheman walked back in the day the same hallowed hallways,

(02:15):
and Kathy in Madison reminds us that this hour made
possible in part by our friends at tire Rack. For
over forty years, ty Iraq has been helping customers like
Alf the Alien, Old Pinter fur Dog and malarprop Guy
find the right tires for how, what and where they drive,

(02:35):
chip fast and free back by free road hazard protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Eileen in
San Francisco really likes that mobile ti hire installation tire
iraq dot com. The way tire buying should be should

(02:56):
be now the og art Puffin says Ben the people
need to know about the home Depot. And I said,
you know what, that's not a bad take. Even Ned
and Nebraska knows that's important. So upgrade your FIFA World
Cup twenty twenty six. Set up, build it like Beckham
from living room to lawn with the home Depot and

(03:16):
take the fast free delivery a sayst the Home Depot
Official FIFA World Cup twenty twenty six supporter subject to availability. Now,
Perito said, Ben, I know you like doing a little
radio show, but people ve TV. They like the TV.
And I said, what about the World Cup? Said well,
I need to know. And this is from Purito said,
I need to know about the World Cup on TV.

(03:37):
This purta has been going on for a couple weeks.
I don't care, Ben Pritos, I need to know, I said, okay, Purrito.
The excitement of the FIFA World Cup is now streaming
live on Fox one, the official English streaming platform. To
catch every unforgettable moment, Fox one brings the action straight
to your screen. See you never miss a goal? Download
Fox one. The experience is it right there. You can

(04:01):
get all of the FIFA World Cup on Fox One.
Now we pause the meat of the show we'll get
back to the show. We'll have a Mallord monologue now,
and then my promise you, we will get back to
the program, all right, because that's the most important part.
As I've always said, the most important part. The late
great John Sterling taught me on my podcast. You said,

(04:21):
you got to sell the soap, and in this case,
you got to sell home Depot. You gotta sell Fox,
the tires, the whole thing. All right, So our lead
this hour from the Trade Machine say why Yeah? So
I was told by one of my friends in the
state of Ohio that if I did not start with
this story, I would be a total fraud. Now, normally

(04:44):
I ignore this because who the hell cares some random dude
I don't know. However, I do find this a compelling
story and worthy of a few good minutes of talk
into the very powerful bully pulpit we have here the
microphones of Fox Sports Radio. So the trade hurd round
the NBA, which happened not that long ago, Well it

(05:06):
hasn't actually happened. If you didn't see this, perhaps not.
Why are you being so vague, malor why are you
being vague? Penny boy? All right, So we've learned now
that Kawhi Leonard, the man that made me hate the NBA,
Kawhi Leonard his trade from the Clippers to the Raptors.
They hit the pause button on it. It's in a

(05:28):
holding pattern right now, pending the NBA's never ending investigation
into potential salary cap shenanigans, the circumvention of the salarycap. Now,
the deal was agreed to at the end of last month.
Toronto would get Kawhi Leonard so he can sit on
their bench and get hemorrhoids in exchange for Brandon Ingram,

(05:50):
who will likely be traded by the Clippers to somebody else,
and Grady Dick. Also a bunch of unprotected first round
draft picks and the pick swaps and you can wipe
your tuckus with that second round picks. Who the hell cares?
What be damn do? The deal cannot be finalized until
the NBA concludes it's probe, which has been going on

(06:12):
and on and on. Now. The Raptors already announced it,
they promoted it. It's all over the place. From what
we understand, the Toronto media having a field day like
this is some kind of chicken soup for the soul story,
and the Raptors do not want to inherit any penalties
like a fine or suspension or draft pick forfeiture or

(06:34):
anything like that which would be tied to Kawhi from
his time with the Clippers. And so the NBA has
essentially said, listen, if you trade for Kawhi Leonard and
we punished him, whoever has him on the roster has
to pay the piper. And Toronto's like, we're not We're
absent minded, but we're not that absent minded, all right.

(06:56):
So that is a good jumping off point. Let us
discuss the question the Raptors playing essentially the Elvis song
returned to sender, putting Kawhi Leonard back. It's weird because
the Clipper said return to senator to Toronto, and now
it's like they're going back and forth like a tennis
match and they're volleying back and forth. So it's the

(07:18):
Elvis song right, return to center on Kawhi Leonard for now?
Are the Clippers going to be stuck with the claw?
All right? So my thoughts, I've got replay Center, the
Bachelor and Chick fil A, and we will combine all
of these things together and we are going to be

(07:40):
on pins and needles, Pins and needles, all right, So
a the Kawhi saga is it's like if you my
friends that live in Florida and know this, if you've
ever been to Florida, most people have. It's like the
humidity in Florida. It's sticky, it's uncomfortable, and you're not

(08:02):
sure when you're gonna get a break. It is, I
believe the math. Last I checked, it had been ten months.
Ten months the League has been investigating this no show
job for Kawhi. Now the Clippers are claiming they were
victims of Aspiration, that's the business that went out of business.
But they're saying they were the victims of fraud. I

(08:24):
don't believe that. I doubt that's the case. Despite some
podcast clown barking and winning awards for this, there does
not appear to be any smoking gun. Now, why is
there no smoking gun? Thinking it like going to the
NBA's replay center, the call is either upheld, overturned, or stands.

(08:44):
This Kawhi investigation has gone on for ten months. That
tells you it's more likely than not the call stands,
meaning there's nothing there there and I expect at most
a mosquito bite penalty, not a great white shark biting
off your leg and the association, and I said this

(09:07):
several months ago. I have some people that still talk
to me that work around those worlds, and the theory
that has been passed on is that they are simply
too paranoid at the league office that if they really
do give the hammer of God to the Clippers and
ding them, that that will trigger an avalanche. Is also
complicated because Clippers have traded away pretty much all their
draft picks. Still I don't have many draft picks, which

(09:30):
I don't mind because of various trades, mostly the fallout
from the Paul George transaction. So the problem is they're
concerned about this tsunami of similar ghost jobs or other
similar setups for superstar players from the Pacific to the Atlantic.
And that's the problem. Now. As a distant relative of

(09:53):
Nostradamus and a friend of noster Denis he lives in Seattle,
I know the Claw will not be in the Twilight
Zone very long. He'll be eating that great Canadian poutine
before you know it. Now I have boots on the ground,
because you gotta know, I said this on the podcast
they do in the weekend. You gotta have a guy,
whatever the case, you gotta have a guy. Right, have
a car guy, you gotta have a home improvement guy.

(10:17):
You just have a guy. So I got my guy,
my Canadian guy, Nico. It's Canadian sports insider Nico. He
tells me Toronto they want that Kawhi two point zero storyline.
I might be embellishing this. They want it so badly.
How badly they want it so badly that they would
trade the CN Tower if it had a player option

(10:40):
for Kawhi. That's how bad they want this. That temporary
return deceender from the Elvis song that's gonna fade away.
They'll work it out. They'll figure it out. They will
likely be a massive fine. Steve Balmer goes to bed
takes a bowel movement and he can cover the fine,
and the Clippers will end up sending Kawhi to Toronto,
and Toronto will send the Clippers Dick. They will get

(11:02):
Grady Dick, that's what they're gonna get, and some scratcher
tickets and that'll be that, and everyone who loves jokes
can make their jokes. I know I'm gonna get a
bunch of photos of Grady Dick and a Clipper jersey
with Dick on the back. I know because that's his name,
all right now. Meanwhile to Lebron, watch at a golf
course near you, Lebron James, what is he? Forty one?

(11:24):
Now in the middle of another drawn out everyone look
at me, everyone look at me. Recruiting process. Not as
much choice to this one as the ones previous one.
He was actually good. Multiple NBA teams said to be
aggressively pursuing rather than casually pursuing. Aggressively pursuing like he's
the hottest cougar at the bar. The cougars are coming.

(11:46):
The cougars are coming. And the part of the story
now where it's gone off the hinges, is there. There's
a story bouncing around that some teams have been sending
personalized voice memos to a agent, Rich Paul, the guy
riding Lebron's coattails. So let me repeat that for those
of you in the back of the room, if you're

(12:06):
not paying that close attention because it's late at night
and all that. So NBA executives, general managers, owners, presidents,
all out of these big multi billion dollar basketball franchises
are recording sales pitches outlining their vision of Lebron joining
their team, and then they're being relayed through the middleman,

(12:28):
Rich Paul. Now this is happening supposedly with several of
the leading suitors, and you know who they are, Cleveland, Miami,
a couple of former teams that Lebron. And so that's
where we are. Lebron has been on vacation. I know,
we're very concerned about other people's vacations. It's doing a
lot of golfing with family and friends, and big story

(12:49):
there out with Draymond Green. Oh my god. And Lebron
has set no timetable for a decision. I think we're
in week two or three at this point. All right,
So the question what do you read in to these
NBA teams leaving Lebron James voice memos, but they're leaving
them with Rich Paul in order to recruit Lebron in

(13:13):
free agency. So the league, if you didn't believe this before,
has definitely turned into a very dramatic middle school hallway.
At this point, it's junior high school. Lebron is the
only player in I can recall in history recruited like
he's choosing between private islands. It just strikes me as pathetic.

(13:34):
I get the business element of it. I understand that Lebron,
even though he's slowing down a bit. The basketball side
is one thing, and the nostalgia and the romanticizing of Lebron.
You can sell some tickets. Low information fans will buy tickets.
The casuals will buy tickets. Though. The league, though used

(13:55):
to have some pride. Now it's a bunch of I
assume grown dudes in suits recording audio love notes to Lebron,
like the old days when you'd call up Delilah, I
guess she's still around a night on the radio, Delilah,
can you make a love request for my so and so? Yeah?
All right, So the gms are sending memos. It in

(14:18):
my head, in the cartoon bubble of my head. It's
like contestants on the Bachelor. It's like, Hey, Lebron, if
you could give us this rose and thirty five points
a night, that would be pretty good. Imagine the Cavaliers
voicemail probably started, Hey, hey, Lebron, you up, you up Laura.
The greatest, though, has to be the venerable pat Riley

(14:41):
at age eighty one recording his sales pitch for the
Miami Heat. Hey, Lebron, it's Pat. You know. I know
I said some things in the past about you, but
I've changed, man, I've changed Lebron. Give me a call. Thanks, Pat. Bye.
And then he's hitting the buttons because you know, you know,
we don't know how to old guys don't know how
to do the voicemail thing and all that. Now, meanwhile,

(15:03):
Lebron is pulling out his putter. I imagine Lebron listening
to all these voice memos on like one and a
half speed, just to get through them, all the begging
and all that. And I don't know what he's doing
with all the packages, the care packages, the edible arrangements,
the apology balloons that he's getting. I have no idea. Meanwhile,
we now go to the last word scandal. Scandal in

(15:28):
broadcasting so involves the Alamo, the runner up the silver
medal winners of the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs, and
Jacob Toby. Who the F is this guy? Apparently he
was the lead play by play announcer for the San
Antonio Spurs. We say that in past tense, following a

(15:51):
viral accusation, which appears to be accurate considering what happened next,
that he had a Tawdrey affair. Although he wasn't married,
he had a girlfriend. And this is a hum dinger
of a story if you somehow missed this one. This
guy Tolby, who's a young, upstart broadcaster not anymore, joined

(16:15):
the Spurs a couple of years ago. They have a
dream job, right, NBA play by play guy. Those are
the kind of jobs you can have for thirty years, right.
Somehow I've ended up at this job for almost thirty years.
But that's a job you can have for like thirty years.
And so he joined the Spurs a couple of years ago.
He'd worked in Denver and done some regional stuff. And

(16:35):
he has been kicked out of San Antonio after his
now former girlfriend accused him of cheating on him on
her with the sister of a Spurs player. I remember
the famous quote hell has no for like a woman scorned.

(16:58):
Well here we go. So the girlfriend, I don't know
whether she hacked his Instagram or she just found this.
Maybe he left his phone on. I don't know how
this went, but we'll get to the bottom of it.
I'm I'm sure at some point, because we care about
these things unless we don't. So this chick was all offended,
you know, because this guy was stooping around, and she

(17:20):
then posted on his social media and within a few hours,
this guy was given the walking papers and said get
out of here. You're done. Girlfriend said, that's it. They
were together like six years and what a way to
go out. This is the nuclear option, boys, nuclear option.

(17:42):
Some are questioning why san Antonio ended up firing the
broadcaster instead of some other punishment, suspension, fine, things like that,
right question. Some have even said I think our homeboy
Cowherd said that there should be a lawsuit here. Question
is broadcaster now former Spurs broadcaster Jacob Toby have a

(18:04):
lawsuit over getting whacked by the San Antonio basketball team
for an affair. So, as you know, I am not
a lawyer. I do practice law every night for four
hours on the radio. So I am shaking my head. No,
I'm shaking my head. Nope, nope, nope, no, no, no,
no no. Here's why the legal gobbledegook. That's why every

(18:29):
contract I've signed with Fox Sports, Radio, Slash, iHeart and
other places I've worked, NBC a bunch of other radio
stations over the years has had what they called the
bad boy clause. Bad boys, bad boys, what you're gonna
do when they come for you? Now that clause is standard.
It is a boilerplate clause. And I believe pretty much

(18:49):
every contract of a public figure, and I assume other
people that have to sign contracts, but it allows the
Spurs to excommunicate you or whatever business you work for,
for embarrassing the business or, in this case, the organization.
The legalese is simple, don't be stupid. I think the
line was don't fish off the company pier. Now technically

(19:10):
this the girlfriend or the other woman was not employed
by the Spurs, but her brother was. Tolby you apparently
skipped that part of the contract. Who reads the minutia
in those contracts? So nobody does? Nobody reads that stuff anyway. Now,
there's always wiggle room. I will tell you there's always
wiggle room. I've seen it from my years in broadcasting.

(19:31):
If you're really good and you do something like this
and you sleep with the Dallas Cowboy cheerleading squad, if
you're good, they'll look the other way. Didn't happen here, right,
The Spurs. They got rid of this guy, they sent
him away and he was decommissioned with the efficiency of
a Chick fil a drive through like this happened sometime

(19:53):
at night or overnight. And this this cat clearly not
the second coming of the great Bill Shooning, longtime Spurs guy.
He retired a couple of years ago. And this Toby
character was allegedly again canoodling. Somebody named what it was.
It was the sister of the Spurs backup. So you

(20:15):
got Waters the third and then you've got Lauren Waters
and all that. So this is the real theory I
have on why this happened. If you've been around for
a few years, you think, I think you know where
I'm going with this this story in that town, it's
kosher salt in an open wound. Kosher salt in an

(20:36):
open wound. For San Antonio. Here's why the Parisian Torpedo,
not the Parisian Prodigy, the Parisian Torpedo. The Spurs franchise
still has PTSD from Tony Parker cheating with a teammate's wife.
This goes back. I think it's been seventeen something like that,
close to twenty years. But I think it's been like

(20:57):
sixteen seventeen years since this all went down. If you
don't believe me, google it. So I know it's a
little different because it's a sister of a player, but
it's still taboo. How do you do in the Alamo?
It is the Bean Mahlor Show. If you would like

We have dueling pianos. We'll get to that dueling pianos,
and the sports definition of hutzba all right, the definition
there of hootz book in sports? What is that all about?

(22:02):
We'll get to it, and we will do it next.

It is the Ben Mahler Show. Does I Bill Miller?
As we begin this hour cranking up the hits, We
play the hits all night long. Your hit station Top
forty Sports takes right here every hour on the hour.
Those of you that have Mallard plus, you know what's
coming up later on. Those of you that are too
cheap for malar plus, well you're screwed. You have to
wait and get to it. Eventually, we'll put the runout

(23:09):
up it just you know, got to take care of
our paid subscribers to the show. You know how those
but if you are on X at Ben Mahler, that's
at Ben Mahlor. You can also say hello to Lorraine.
She's known as the FSR tech Queen. Hi, don't talk
to me and Cooper Loop all Broncho fan, that's all

(23:30):
Bronco fan. Your comments can and will be used against
you in the court of the Mallard militia. And you
can also call up you want. The lines are packed,
so I should do that right now. I should wait
a little bit and then call up. Eventually, back to it,
we'll get to the definition of hutsbah And is it

(23:53):
possible Is it possible that the Lebron James story has
been scooped by a baker? A candle maker, No, an
actual baker.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
We'll give you the gingerbread man.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Well, you'll have to stay tuned, but there's an interesting
story out there. There are also dueling reports. I love
the dueling reports. I can't get enough of that. At
the dueling reports. Now Adam Schefter, who's last I checked.
He's a football guy, not a basketball guy. So Schefter's
claiming that Lebron's going to Miami. Then you have what's

(24:29):
that guy, Bill Simmons, Is that the guy's name. He's
claiming that Lebron's going to Cleveland. However, last was it
last week or two weeks ago? He bet his life
that Lebron was going to Golden State. So that means
I guess he's Oh, that's it for Bill Simmons, he
because no, okay, anyway, So that is where we are.

(24:50):
I will give you the Baker update on that, because
that's very important you need to know because a lot
of big stories over the years in my life have
come from people that work at the confectionery or you know,
the popsicle stand, the ice cream shop. It just that's

(25:10):
just the way it is. That's the way it will
it will be. So I we'll have that for you
coming up in a minute. The also the definition of
hutzpot in sports. In sports will go there and Bill Hoosier.
Bill says, Ben, thank you. I said somebody paid money
for a new ad. I nearly fell out of my yaris.

(25:33):
All right, there's always new new ads. Late night drug
tester says announcers getting asked for cheating Tony Romo better
watch out the way he slobbers over quarterbacks. His wife
may reach her limit. Well, that's every broadcaster Aikman doesn't
do it as much, but Chris Collinsworth has knee pads
with the NBC logo there when he's calling those games

(25:54):
on Sunday Night. It's wild, absolutely wild. And I usually
hit the mute button when Brady on because he annoys me.
But I don't know if he does the same thing
Chip and the Q's rights and says a plus on
the Mallar monologue. If that dude the Spurs whack decides
to sue the team, I'll assume he's made up his
mind that he'll never want to do that job ever again.

(26:15):
No other team will ever consider hiring him if they
think he may sue them too at some point. Well,
that's not necessarily true. There's a guy in Minnesota Vikings
defensive coordinator's got an active lawsuit against the NFL, Brian Flores,
who's still coaching the Minnesota Vikings defense. It's rare. I
agree with you, it's rare. Does happen? I always thought

(26:36):
that's not because I had a buddy of mine that
sued one of the radio stations I worked at years ago,
my good friends in radio, and he won. He beat
the radio station in court and he's not allowed to
ever work at that company again. He's been blacklisted, so
he's out. Yeah, all right, Jay Scoop writes in he says,
my wife and I arrived late to see a movie tonight,
Disclosure Day, and we got lucky because previews were still playing.

(26:59):
Came home and turned on the Ben Maller Show a
little late and the live reads were still in progress. Well,
very simple. Yes, Now I believe the movie. You want
to go there, and you want to see the previews
because you want to know what's coming up. It's kind
of exciting. A lot of people tune in and they
want to hear the commercials, and we lose listeners. When
I get to the monologue, it's the wildest thing. It's

(27:19):
the craziest thing. Eileen in San Francisco says a plus
on the opening Mallard monologue, This Lebron decision is pathetic.
Hopefully it's buried his legacy. Yeah, I don't think that's happened.
And now Curmudgeon Wayne into luth not a Mallard Plus subscriber.
Curmudgeon Wayne not a Mallard Plus subscriber. He's out there
swimming around the brown waters of Lake superior. He says, hell, yeah, Ben,

(27:44):
that's just what we need. More NBA talk. Can't get
enough of it when the NFL is right around the corner.
And again, listen, Wayne, just send Why don't you just
do the monologues and then I'll just come in here
and then I'll just do the reads. And that's that. Yeah.
Kyle from Parts Unknown rights and he says the Spurs

(28:04):
play by play guy is a Mallard clone, except Mahler
has never been caught. Okay, I don't know what that means.
And I don't think that photo is accurate. I know
there's a photo of the alleged girlfriend. I don't think
that somebody told me that was not actually heard. It's
just somebody else, but I don't know. It's been bouncing
around the internet. Doc Dan not a real doctor, he

(28:27):
plays one on the radio from Minnesota. Says, has the
La Riot of the Big three league contacted Lebron Yet,
we'll check on that. We're we're gonna effort that Nature
boy answering the call to the wild rights and he says,
I suggest the Lakers there he is right. There have
a new award called the Bronni for the least impactful player.

(28:50):
Did I read that Bronnie James is not going to
participate in the summer League. I bet you. The Lakers said, listen, Bronnie,
we don't want you to participate because you could get
hurt and we're gonna sucker either the heat of the
calves to trade for you. So we don't want to
mess that up. Let's go to a man who said
he would not be calling the show until next week
because of major dental surgery. We go to the great

(29:13):
state of Louisiana and we say hello to our friend.
He's like family, the one and only, the man, the myth,
the legend, Anthony in Louisiana. Hey, man, you survived Anthony,
you survived your medical procedure. Oh Tuesday, Oh I died.

(29:37):
Oh I didn't do so they instead, they couldn't. They
couldn't my teeth. Oh they just clean. You said you
were having an operation. I thought, on you're you're having
dental surgery.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
I thought, I'm not a mistake.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Oh okay, well that's kind of a bit yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
I know that, but it's kind of a big mistake.
You know. It's like, Hey, I'm going in, I'm gonna
have open heart surgery. Oh really, oh man, my thoughts
and prayers. Uh no, no, you need to take a
bowel movement.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Just using the stethoscope. No, but but Anthony, Hi, you
told you, Anthony, you told me that you got your
teeth cleaned, but you still are going to have surgery
later on?

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (30:21):
Is that not what's happening? Yeah, okay, so you still
do have to do the surgery.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Uh huh okay, okay, all right, So well hopefully everything
will be fine. I'm sure you'll be okay.

Speaker 5 (30:33):
Hey, because just so you know, I'm getting my teeth
cleaned on the thirteenth.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
I'm very exciting. I love to the dentist.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Right.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
Oh, she's so good. She's sitting over here, she's not listening. Tesla,
your cousin, Anthony says, hey, hello.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
You all right, thank you Anthony.

Speaker 5 (31:08):
Her name's Tesla.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Yeah. Yeah, okay, thank your Gooay there he goes, all right,
there's Anthony in Louisiana going for dental stirs.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
No, I just had to clean my uh my teeth.
There that's all. There you go, Bill writes, and he says, Ben, uh,
you are appointment listening for the listeners who want to participate.
Commercial breaks are short and entertaining. I think that's what
Bill meant to write. He might have written something very
rude and offensive. However, I believe that's what he meant.

(31:44):
The ethics of that, you know, that's what That's what
he was going for. And right now Bill's such a
big fan of show. He's upset because home depots closed.
He said, Ben, I want to go to home. People said,
who's your Bill's not They're not open right now. I said, okay,
I'm being Hawaii either open not not here. And so
you have to go tomorrow. And when you go tomorrow,
make sure to upgrade your FIFA World Cup twenty twenty
six set up, build it like Beckham from living room

(32:09):
to lawn with the home depot and take the fast
free delivery assist the Home Depot Official FIFA World Cup
twenty twenty six Supporter, subject to availability. And we have
our first member of the final four? Am I gonna
get killed? You said the final fours? Not the final four?
What are you saying that there's four teams left after

(32:31):
we get through this round and we have our first
team into the final four at the wild card or
the World the World Cup and that would be France.
All right, So France is in and what did Poppy
call this guy in Mape? Is that what he called
him yesterday? And bape mapi mapi, oh MAPI called the MAPI.

(32:52):
That's right, Poppy, our soccer guy. And when France won
over Morocco two nothing, Yeah, go France, Go France, France, France,
the French there, that's not even your team, I know.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
But I want France and Norway to win because I
have the surrogate family in France and I am Norwegian.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
So you don't care about your own joy of winning
the World Cup. Pick them? You're okay?

Speaker 5 (33:14):
No, no, it's okay.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
You do.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
You do have Norway?

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Right?

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Or no?

Speaker 4 (33:18):
No, I don't.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
So who had? Uh? Then that France will play either
Spain or Belgium. It's gonna be Spain, right.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Yeah, that what everybody thinks. Yeah you have you have Spain.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
England of England. You have England, all right?

Speaker 4 (33:34):
H Yeah, Lorena has Norway and and I have Argentina.
So yeah, you've got listeners. Have the listeners have France?

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Yeah, So we don't want France to win because we
want we want one of us to win, not on
an evil listener to win. We don't want that we
did the World Cup if you were, So, what are
you talking about, malor that we did this World Cup?
We had the hopper, did the World Cup lottery and
we all picked teams based on numbered balls and that's
how that went. So this bakery story, real quick, this
bakery story. So there's a guy in Ohio. All good

(34:10):
stories start out with a guy in Ohio, not Ohio
al as far as I know, it's not Dick and Dayton.
So this guy who is he owns a bakery in
Ohio and he is claiming that not only will Lebron
James be joining the Cavaliers, Cleveland is going to trade

(34:31):
for Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors, so they're
gonna have Lebron and Dreymont Gris, why are you talking about?
What's some guy that runs a bakery is saying, Well,
the legend is that this cat many many years ago,
correctly predicted before the usual suspects. NBA insiders predicted that

(34:53):
Lebron was going to return to Cleveland when he left
the Miami Heat, although most people thought he was going
to go back to Cleveland, anyway. So this guy's got
I guess a little street credibility. So the owner of
a bakery in Oha. This is our NBA inside Welcome
to twenty twenty six kids. That's right, major addition, big

(35:15):
big news, big news. This guy lebron is coming back
to Cleveland, but he's bringing Bronnie and Draymond with him.
There you go, so buy your cupcakes. By your cupcakes,
knock yourself out with the cupcakes. It is the Ben
Mahler Show. Time now for the who am I? Game?
This is where we pretend to be somebody else else.

(35:35):
We call it the who am I? Game? Ben Rice
is oh so nice. He's got twenty eight home runs
this season that is tied for the sixth most by
a Yankee batter before the All Star break. This is
in the wild Card era, So the wildcard era. He
joins Aaron Judge, who's done it four times, A Rod
and Blank, who like I said me, I guess it's

(35:58):
how over so again? Ben Rice twenty eight home runs
and this season that is tied for the sixth most
by a Yankee batter for the All Star break. In
the wild Card Here he joins Aaron Judge, who's done
it four times a rod and me? Who am I?
That's the question. The answer. We'll get to it and
we will do it next.

Speaker 2 (36:22):

I saw a supermarket Steve said he's got a talent.

(37:09):
I don't want to give it away. I think he's
going to enter this thing as well. And I believe
everyone has some kind of interesting talent and so share
it with other people. Let other people enjoy your talent.
That's the Mallet. Please to reach out Ben Malorshow at

Back to where we go and time to pay off
the somewhat exciting who am I? Game? We've gone to
baseball baseball for the who am I? Game? And here

(38:16):
we go. Ben Rice is oh so nice. He's got
twenty eight home runs this season Bronx Bombers. He's tied
for the sixth most by a Yankee batter before the
All Star break in the wild Card era, joining Aaron
Judge who did it four times? A Rod and me?
All right, that is ool question. What is the answer?

(38:40):
Let's see does anyone in the malle militia know the answer?
Mallard prop guy going with Yankee legend Marv Thornberry, who
as his answer, let's you don't know your Yankee baseball?
Bad job by you. Muhammad Ali. Remember when Muhammad Ali
played for the Yankees. That he was a right fielder
I believe for the Yankees and he did the liver
some wallops here and there. That's from Femi the Uber

(39:03):
eats Driver, Alf the Alien. Ol Piner is going with
criminal mel Hall? Is he still in jail? Mel Hall?
I know he got sentenced to a lot of time
in jail. He was a player back in the in
the eighties, briefly played with the Yankees. What else do
we have here? Mark the Walker from Rochester says you
are a legendary bowler. I'm not going to try to

(39:26):
pronounce that name, but I know who you're talking about,
but I'm not going to say that name. Jose Vdro
from James that's his answer. What else do we have?
Paige Down Dave FN Kingman from the Nature Boy now
Nature Boy answering the call the wild. You understand Nature
Boy that the sort of rant on Kingman was good.

(39:46):
The one about Bavoqua Kurt Bovaqua was even better. Steelers
Nasty's going with Bye Bye Balbony as his answer. What
else do we have, Page Dan, rubber Faced, Jim Carrey,
that's his answer. Eileen in San Francisco says Bobby from
the Sopranos Baccalari I believe is his name. Do you

(40:08):
have an answer, Lorraine, No, it's not Billy Blanks from
alaprop Guy. I'm going to go with Captain Crunch. Captain Crunch,
great Yankee hitter back in the nineties, is incorrect. It's
another Yankee from the nineties, Tino the Bambino Tino Martinez
in ninety seven for The New York Yanke Tino Martinez
