Razzle dazzle.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
It's our number two, our number two. As we hang
out together in conversation giving the inside dope.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
We start out with wildness from the Bay Area.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
What is forty nine er wide receiver Brandon Iuc actually
hoping to accomplish with his latest social media rant on Instagram? Also,
why are the forty nine ers holding on to Brandon Iock?
He clearly doesn't want to be there. He's wearing merchandise
from another NFL team as he was giving this rant,
And should an NFL sideline reporter like Aaron Andrews who

(00:37):
covers the NFL be vacationing with a player like the
envp Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his family. They were
all together there in the Bahamas. We'll talk about that
and more. Right now, people up in arms, it's our
number two. Well, it's not often, not often that an athlete,

(01:03):
NFL player, a pro athlete there where's the merch of
another team while under contract with a different team, But
that has happened. Welcome in the beginning of another hour
of the Ben Mahlor Show. We are in the air.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Ev rewhere, Audio.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Blokes, as we should have stayed in bed but we
didn't coast to coast, border, the border and beyond on

from the test as we stand, the test of time,
garanteed human from the world famous Fox Sports Radio studios,
where our friend Kathy in Madison says, hey, that's right.
Well she says that. She also says, hey, can you

(02:10):
let the people know about tires? I said, you know, Kathy,
I normally don't do that requesting. You were very nice
and so sure. Absolutely. For over forty years, tire Rack
has been helping customers like King Rory and Eke in Roseville,
Minnesota find the right tires for how, what and where
they drive, ship fast and free back by free road

I believe it was Donkey Sausage who said give me
the bull, and I said, I'm not giving you a bull.
I said, listen, Donkey Sausage, I'm not going to give
you the bull. I'll give you the wee bol, which
is better.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
That's right. It's time to get your financial portfolio game.

(03:18):
we did that there, and we don't. We don't do
shout outs, So Overnight Joe, I can't. I can't do
a shout out to overnight Joe, who I just I
guess re signed a new deal, so he'll be locked
up for another couple of years. Does TV work and
works the overnight shift. But he wanted us to let
you know about DraftKings. The Cup is taking over the

(03:39):
US and only DraftKings has you fully covered right now.
Use the promo code mallor m A L L e

promo code mallor at DraftKings.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
The Crown is yours.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Said the guy, the thinking jig thing. Yeah, that's that's that.
But yeah, exciting news. Overnight Joe said, you're stuck with
me for the next couple of years.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
He says, you better not leave.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
He's been with the show first time, part time when
I was doing weekends here at Fox Sports ready the
early days, and has been with the show all these years.
So Joe, much like you, we both have done very
well where we're aging in reverse and we're just getting
better looking as we get older. So we don't do

(04:32):
shoutouts overnight show, and I just that's a mention. That's
not a shout out, that's a mention. And so there
you go, Overnight. Shoe the man at w h e
C ten master control all night, and he's been loyal
to our show. So if anything goes wrong, it's not
our fault at all. All right, we're all on the
same page on that.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Not our fault, Houston.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
We have a problem.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Now if stuff goes well, and he's in Rochester, so
if stuff goes well, then we're we're gonna take credit.
But if anything goes bad, it's not our fault. Blame
somebody else there. We had nothing to do with it.
Our lead this hour, though, play the hits, mom, Man,
play the hits, all right, We'll play the hits.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
We're gonna play the hits. What a story, this is,
what a gift?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Content hand delivered from one of the great malcontents in
the NFL dateline social media, where wide receiver Brandon Ayuk.
Yet that guy got paid and forgot how to play.
Brandon aok is public feud with the forty nine ers escalating,
which is always good talk radio, the building blocks of

(05:39):
good talk radio, a standoff at the spoiled athlete corral,
and that's what we have here, soap. Let me give
you the brief thumbnail recap and then we'll start attacking here.
In a cryptic video on the gram over the weekend,
Brandon Iuk wearing a Washington commander's hat. Mind you, he plays,

(06:01):
not that he's played in a while, but he's property
of the forty nine ers, and he was wearing that
ugly commander's hat. And he compared himself to a toy,
compared himself to a toy that the forty nine ers
don't know how to use properly. Of course, the Niners
have washed their hands with him, they just haven't gotten
rid of him now. He suggested the wide receiver, Brandon

(06:23):
Ayuck suggested another team would make better use of him
and directly called out the Niners as scared. Yeah, they're
scared to let him go, according to the player, and
that is a good jumping off point. Let us discuss

(06:44):
the question is rather simple. What is forty nine ers
wide receiver Brandon Ayuck actually hoping to accomplish with his
latest social media rant? All right, so on this one,
we've got Lego's brisket and Margarita's and we'll combine all

(07:07):
of these things together and we'll go ABC and one,
two three. You always start though, at number one? What
number one? What number number one? So it's simple. This
one's not that hard. It's an Okham's razor situation. The
simplest answer is the right answer here. He is getting.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Frustrated, The player is frustrated. He is annoyed.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
The NFL season begins in ninety four days or so,
give or take. Training camp begins in about a month
and in a couple of days, so we're getting closer,
and he is stuck at Loggerheads, Brandon Ayuk with the
forty nine ers here, and so he's trying to expedite

(07:56):
his departure. He wants an on time departure from the
forty nine ers here, and it's like he's a guy
passionately banging the closed door button.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
On the elevator.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
You know, he's like, I closed, the door will not close.
I want to close the door on the niners that
you kept hitting the button. Yeah, the same thing at
the cross rock. If you're ever wading around in a
city and you hit the crosswalk button. I remember there
was a story a few years back that said those
buttons don't do anything, that it's a waste of time
in most cities, that they don't activate anything. That the

(08:31):
signals are all programmed to be on a certain time,
and it doesn't matter how many times.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
He hit that.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
I don't know about the elevator. I think the elevator
thing's legit. Anyway, this is not a football story at
this point. The reason it's not a football story is
because Brandon IoK's not a football player. He's a former
football player who hasn't played in a long time. This
has become a daytime talk show from back when they
used to have good daytime talk shows back in the day.
Except they're wearing shoulder pads, although he's not even knowing that.

(09:00):
That would mean Brandon IoK's after playing and we know
he's not doing that. Of course, there's also the active
arrest warrant for speed racing around the forty nine ers
stadium and then making sure to record it in four
D so everyone could see it and all that. So
calling himself a toy is kind of an interesting position
to take, and I'd like to expand on that. The Niners,

(09:24):
I'm pretty sure, stopped playing with him as the toy
a couple of Christmases ago. So it's been a minute,
like it's been a minute here, and Brandon Aok, he's
not really negotiating. We're past the point of negotiation here.
He's at this point having a temper tantrum, throwing his
legos off the wall, hoping they bounce over and then

(09:46):
John Lynch and Shanahan will step on them with their
bare feet. That's what he's hoping happens here. And he's
been ghosting. By all accounts, Brandon Aok has been ghosting
the big shots in sam Itis goes so long?

Speaker 4 (10:01):
How long?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Thanks for asking? So long?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
That this is like the NFL's version. It's like changing
the relationship status to it's complicated. At this particular point,
it's complicated. The Commander's remain the overwhelming favorite to acquire
the services of Brandon Ayuck from the forty nine ers.
He played college ball with Jaden Daniels who was at

(10:25):
Arizona State with the Sun Devils and Tim b where
all the beautiful people are before going off to baton Rouge.
They're not ugly, they're either and Washington. If you look
at their depth chart, there's not a lot there. They
need a wide receiver too, right next to Terry McLaurin,
so they need a guy to slot in there. And
John Lynch already made it clear, already made it clear

(10:47):
that IUC has played his last snap in the Bay
Area and this is just the world's slowest breakup. I
love the fact that he went on I assume NFL
shop dot com ioke to buy a hat or Jaden
Daniels give him that hat. You think that was like
a freebe he got from Jaden Daniels. He didn't actually
go and buy it himself. It's possible now page two.

(11:08):
Keeping the good times rolling on here, all right? So
the other question I had is why are the forty
nine ers. Why are the forty nine ers here holding
tightly to Brandon Iyok. Why are they holding on to
this guy when he don't want to be there. He
hasn't played in a long time, and he's now going
around wearing merch from other NFL teams while he is

(11:31):
technically property of the forty nine ers. So they're calling it.
The Niners have let their beat guys know. Whether it's
a salary cap situation, it's all because of the cap. Remember,
the salary cap is the ultimate excuse for anything that
you do. You blame it on the cap. It's all
I we'd love to have done that, but it's the cap.

(11:52):
And that's what's coming to Major League Baseball. You people
that love your little salary caps. When your team doesn't
acquire someone, they're gonna say it's because of the cap,
just like NFL t same and in the NFL it's bullshoy,
is what it is. In the NFL, it's always the cap, cap,
cap cap. The cap is crap, The cap is crap.
The cap is crap, The cap is crap. That's the cap.
So in any other industry, in any other industry, at

(12:15):
this point, you'd call it hr waiting for the paperwork
to clear. The Niners are like, well, now it's the cap.
And he remains on the reserve left squad list, which
is apparently a thing. Brandon Auk reserved left squad list,
we are told, meaning the forty nine ers are not
paying him, so he's not getting the salary. He's stuck

(12:41):
on the natty list. Auk is on the knotty list
there with the Ford now is more importantly a gigantic
chunk of that one hundred and twenty million dollar contract
that he signed a couple of years ago, the extension
he signed back in twenty twenty four, continues to pro
rate against the salary cap as long as he's on
the roster. So there's some legal gymnastics are not legal

(13:04):
mathematical gymnastics that you have to jump through.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
We have Malard math. So we're good on that.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Now.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
That said, really they're just keeping my believe. This is
the Malard conspiracy theory, the Illuminati. The Illuminati tells me
they're keeping him to send a message. And you rattle
the snake, you get stung. That's the message. You rattle
the snake, you get stung, and I rattle it and

(13:32):
John Lynch is happily holding the anti venom saying, ha ha,
I've got the anti venom.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
You don't.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
So this is a warning shot. And they're trying to
make an example out of Brandon. IOK, the forty nine
ers that.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Hey, listen.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Down the line, maybe two years, three years, five years,
ten years, there'll be another player that comes along that's
in a similar situation, that signs a contract and then
they decide they don't want to play, and they cause
all these problems and all that stuff, and so they're
sending the message like, listen, don't mess with us. The
message is rather simple. And so John Lynch is slow
cooking this thing, this release or trade like a brisket.

(14:14):
You know, you gotta put a brisket in the oven,
a nice Sunday brisket, but you got to put that
in there a couple days before, make that slow cook
for hours and hours and hours and hours, low heat,
all right, long, wait there, put some potatoes around that thing,
little garlic and maximum tenderness, chef's kiss. So that's for

(14:36):
the forty nine ers, of course, not for the player.
And my theory has been the Niners are gonna wait
to the very last minute. They're gonna see if he
shows up or not the training camp, and then if
he shows up, at that point they'll say turn out
the lasts. The parties over, get out of here, all right,
and then they're gonna wait. And the reason you wait
is you want to stick it to the player. So

(14:57):
everyone will have spent their allotted money. There won't be
much money left on the market for the player to
get and he'll be paid peanuts. Now he could end
up in Washington, he'll he'll just not get much money.
And the Niners are playing this to their absolute advantage,
as you would expect, because they feel like they were
screwed over by the employee, and they'll do something at

(15:20):
the very last second. That's how they should play this.
We'll see if I'm right. It'll be interesting to see
if he does actually report and how they handle that
at that point. Now, final point, we go to the Bahamas.
The Bahama, Mama we Go and Fox sideline reporter Aaron
Andrews is catching some serious flack.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
What did Aaron Andrews do?

Speaker 2 (15:47):
The Fox sideline reporter, Well, she posted some vacation photos,
which wouldn't have been a problem if she wasn't on
a vacation with Matthew Stafford, the Rams quarterback and his family.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Huh say what? Yes?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Andrews, along with Kelly Stafford, that annoying podcast woman, Matthew Stafford.
Now we should also point out Aaron Andrews husband was
there as well, that old hockey guy that was washed up.
Who else Carrissa Thompson who also works does TV.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
And they were all.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Vacationing apparently together in the Bahamas, the Baker's Bay area
if you're familiar with the Bahamas. And now photos have
been bouncing around from the boat trip there in the
Bahamas showing the group together, smiling, having a great time.
Andrews even shared one of the photos on her Instagram page,
and the critics, of course, have attacked the journalistic ethics

(16:41):
of a NFL sideline reporter vacationing in the Bahamas alongside
a starting quarterback, the most valuable player in the NFL.
So the question should should an NFL sideline reporter like
Aaron Andrews, who seemingly the NFL be vacationing with the

(17:03):
ENVP of the NFL rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his
fam all late? All right, so everyone involves. My part
of the story that I'm fashionated by is the people
involved in this. All the actors in this little play
seem genuinely shocked that anyone would dare question this activity.

(17:26):
To me, that's the root of the problem. Like they
don't seem to understand, like this doesn't seem to look
very good. They don't have a problem with it. That's
the thing. They don't seem to have an issue with it.
And of course the reason is they're not Aaron Andrews
is not a journalist. None of these people are journalists
that work in the NFL. They're not I and they

(17:47):
don't see this as an issue because they're like, what's
the problem. We're just all friends here, and how do
you of course, the obviously, if you were to objectively
cover like Matthew Stafford, right, a terrible couple of games
during the season, whatever happens, then okay, you.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Can't cover him. If you're sipping margaritis with him on a.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Boat, it's very difficult when your buddy buddy. Of course,
you don't have objectivity. If that is the case here,
and if you're vacationing with the people who you supposedly cover,
you're not reporting on the NFL, you're participating in the NFL.
There is a slight difference there, and this, of course

(18:30):
is how they make the sausage. You're not supposed to
see how they make the sausage. The lines get blurred.
Ask Diana Russini about that. They often get erased. And
it's all one big buddy buddy country club, family friends
and football retreats where they all hang out together. And
if you want to know who the mark is, look

(18:50):
in the mirror. You're the mark. If you think otherwise,
you are the absolute mark. Imagine back in the day.
I remember when I was a kid, I heard stories about.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
The old days and journalism. Oh, they covered the president. Reporters.
It was a very serious job.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Imagine like if Walter Cronkite, considered the greatest TV Guide
reporter of his generation, if he was like sunbathing ends
with Richard Nixon. They were putting sun tan on each
other's backs like they would Because I understand, it's not
the White House, it's just football.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
I get it. I understand. However, that's what we are now,
that's where we are now.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
And the NFL at one point there was some of that.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
You know.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Now everyone's in bed with everyone else and so it's
just like a nice trip to the theme park. The
NFL and the reporters are just cast members. That's what
they are, and you have to accept it because that's
the reality of the situation. And if anything really negative
comes out, they just ignore it. For example, Diana Russini,

(19:53):
that story seemingly problematic to the integrity of the NFL media,
and the NFL me World didn't have a comment because
they didn't know. This goes on apparently all the time.
Everyone's in bed with everyone else or on boats in
the Bahamas having a great time.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
It's the NFL's version of pro wrestling. And you get
a backstage pass, and you get a backstage pass, and
you get a backstage pass eight seven seven ninety nine

So some old furniture being auctioned off, but it's not
what you think it is.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
We'll get to that. We'll take your calls.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
And also later this hour we'll have the Insta Trivia

Bronco fan. Your comments can and will be used against
you in the kangaroo court of the Ben Maller show
back to it Alf the Alien Opiner rights in He says,

(22:20):
wouldn't it be great if John Lynch performed some skulduggery
and traded Brandon Ayuck to the factory of sadness for
some of those scratchers they got from the Rams. Oh,
that'd be so good. I wouldn't put it past John Lynch. Like,
where's the least attractive team to go to? It's always
the factory of sadness?

Speaker 1 (22:39):
There, you say? In Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
They every time they occasionally get somebody good, they trade them,
get rid of them. That's how they do things. Sean writes,
and he says, as a as the sole creator of
the film The Ballad of Benoit Benjamin, I am proud
to let you know that we are about to hit
one thousand views on you YouTube. If I ever get divorced,

(23:01):
I think my wife may use that against me in court. Well, congratulations, Sean,
I am impressed. That you were able to track down
Beanoit Benjamin. I'm a little disappointed you did not contact
me to I have many Banoit Benjamin stories. I was
around him at the end of his playing career, not
in the glory days with the clips, when he was
playing for like the Sonics and some other teams and

(23:24):
they'd come into LA and I have a buddy of
mine who's friends with him.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
But I'm very happy you tracked him down.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Everyone who covered the NBA in those days has a
Beanoyit Benjamin story.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
The stuff of legends and so they go.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
If you have not seen it, I should get Sean
on my podcast at some point to talk about behind
the scenes, because I figure since that thing's only got
a thousand views, he'll probably tell me all the dirt
on Benoit.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
At this point he.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Did threaten though, Sean threatened to give Banoit my number
and then he'll start calling me NonStop, like doc Mike.
I don't know that I want that. So not a
great idea. Yeah, it's cool that you made a documentary
about one of the great characters of the nineteen eighties
nineties NBA.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
That is that is solid. What else do we have?

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Let's see page Dan Mister Irrigation says Brandon Ayuck isn't
even on the forty nine of the depth chart according
to the Google Just google it, you say, Gary writes,
And he said, been listening to you off and on
for several years now, and I see your social media sometimes.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
That's cool. The way you interact with your fans. You
seem like a good dude. You don't do.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Shout outs, he said. Since you don't do shout outs,
I will give a shout out to you. Well, thank you, Gary.
I appreciate that. And Gary's got that look. He's got
that in his photo. He kind of looks like Steve Bartman.
You're not Steve Bartman. All your Gary, did you change
your name Gary from Steve Bartman? You have that Bartman look.
He's got the headphones, he's got the hat, the glasses,

(24:51):
he's got that. You know, it's a good looking man.
But you know, I just got the the Bartman look.
If you know who? Does any even know?

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Larina? Do you know who Steve Bartman is?

Speaker 2 (24:59):
No?

Speaker 1 (24:59):
I don't belie if I do. Who do you think
Steve Bartman is? Hmmm, well maybe the son of Bart Simpson.
Steve Bartman.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Yes, that is correct, Yes, that is a spot on. Yeah,
to be fair, that's a tough one. Yeah, you know,
that's been twenty three I.

Speaker 7 (25:22):
Was gonna say, and I'm not like, I'm not saying
this to be mean, but I think there's a decent
chance that a number of the editors that work here
don't know what you mean.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Oh my god. I was sitting in the other room.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
We were counting down to the Cubs and won the pennant.
They were going to the World Series. It was what
game was that was that Game five or game six
of the It was playing the Marlins.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
I remember that.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
It was Cubs and Marlins at Wrigley Field, and moyses
Alou went over and tried to catch a ball and
this guy named Steve Bartman, we didn't know his name
at the time. Game six, Game six, oh yeah. And
then they lost Game seven after that, and so he
was just a fan and he interfered with the ball,
and then the Marlins came back and won the game.
And that guy, here's the amazing thing. He's been twenty

(26:09):
three years. He's done no interviews, Nobody knows anything about him.
He's just gone on and lived his life. He was
probably in his mid twenties, so he's got to be
close to fifty.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
If not older than that at this point. And just
that's it. Just didn't it.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Was offered a lot of money to do interviews back
in those days. They offered money twenty three years ago
for these kind of interviews. Didn't do any of them.
Just didn't want the publicity. There was like a mob
outside Wrigley Field. He had to sneak out. It's a
crazy night.

Speaker 7 (26:38):
I didn't know this that the Cubs gave him a
championship ring after the oh after they won in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Okay, did he take it?

Speaker 7 (26:48):
It doesn't It doesn't say okay, but yeah, I mean
it says no interviews. He continues to live quietly in
the Chicago suburbs. Strict level of privacy.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Wow, that's crazy. And he turned out he mustn't make it.
He must be making good money. Not back then though
he was a young guy.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
I mean, I understand the level of privacy after it happened,
you know, I mean, you're kind of worried about your safety.
But once they won the World Series, I feel like
Aull's forgiven at that point, right.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
That was thirteen years later. Yeah, a cub second World series.
That's their their argument. Yeah, it's interesting, it's it's maybe
you can I get him on my podcast. Co see,
I can get Bartman on my podcast. I'll put him
on the i'llut him on the Fifth Hour podcast super
Market super Maricot Steve writes in as I cleared my throat,
he says, were you around the night when Benoit forgot

(27:40):
his shoes and couldn't play in the game, Then the
very next day brought to right shoes.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
That was before my time.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
I was not I was not there, although I think
I heard every Beanoit Benjamin story when I started. It
was only a few years after Benoit had left the Clippers,
and everyone had a Beanoyit Benjamin story. And the next
one that was told was better than every other story
that you heard, whether it involved the Clippers practicing at

(28:08):
a high school across you know, or he would you know,
whatever stuff happened, or the speed.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
But I got a million stories. They didn't make the
documentary was unfortunate. Let's go to the phones. Let's say
all lit to Max.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Mad Max is in Springfield in Commonwealth. Hello Mad Max,
Welcome Max.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
All right, I like the Saints. I'm just kidding that.
I don't know if you remember that call of the
gem Medford. Yes, then I go way back. Then I
go way back second time. Conner a long time listener,
but well, thank you. I usually listening to the podcast.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Well you're up late. It's rare and appropriate night to
be awake.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
Right Usually, if if I ever listen live or if
I call you, I'm usually doing something stupid like having
it across the country.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Where are you headed right now?

Speaker 3 (29:04):
Last time I called you, it was about a year
ago on fourth of July. I was going home from Knoxville, Tennessee.
And this time I am taking the wife and the
kids down to Myrtle Beach.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Oh nice, that'll be fun. Cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah, early
summer vacation thing.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Yes, sir, hopefully all go as well. So you're you're
in a life saving business right now for my family,
trying to keeping me.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Awake and keeping these people away.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
And as you know, I've been to Myrtle Beach and
the guy if you go to the airport at Myrtle Beach,
the guy at that I think the hurts counter fan
of the show. So he's a listener to the show. Yes,
so if you need a rental, you don't need a
rental call because you're driving down there. But when I check,
I flew into Myrtle Beach and we rented, we rented
a car, and the guy's like, yeah, I know who
you are.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
So so you flew the Mallard jet over there on
the Summons.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Yes, that, or I took three planes sitting in the
back of the pl lane, squished like a sardine.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
One of those two things.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
Yes, but I'm also a tall guy, so I know
exactly how that feels. It is a horrible experience.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Now, are you planning on hitting all of the miniature
golf courses in Myrtle Beach?

Speaker 8 (30:13):
Well, I have a five, three and a one year
old with me, and oh, okay, it's a little too young,
a little too young. They do not They're interested for
about two and a half minutes and then, uh, the
rest is just pulling teeth.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
I understand. I understand.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
And you have several more years before they will actually
settle down and enjoy the golf.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Yeah, exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
So you're really going for You're really going for you
and the wife really is what you? Yeah, I mean
the kids. Did you try?

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Like the kids would be happy staring at a wall
if you give them some toys, right, they wouldn't care.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
No, not quite. My kids love being anywhere but at home.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Oh is that right? Interesting?

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Oh? Yeah, ver excited?

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Do you live in a prison? What's wrong with your house?

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Yeah? A lot apparently, okay with the small house that
bets Massatusetts is a very expensive place.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
To live now, so I've heard, yes, yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Quite the collection of callers from the color up at
this point.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
We do You're gonna move out to like Vermont or
something like that, and you know, you can eat as
much Ben and Jerry's as you want, and you'll have
trees around you and you'll just live out in a
big house.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Out there, right right. I have thought about that for sure.
Then do you remember the two weeks behind guy?

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Oh? Yes, I do, but that's an old reference. I
do remember that a little snuck in a time warp.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Yes, you can call me the five months behind guys.
So I'm quite behind on the show. So this this
show is like a sneak speak into the future on
what's been going on, because in my sports world, you're
still telling us that we're not the Seahawks won't win
with Sam Donald.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
You know, well, at the time I made that take,
that was a great take.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
And without the NFL, as you know, without the NFL interfering,
then that we know that the Rams would have won.
The Seahawks needed some corrupt officials to help them out.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Hey, spoiler, he's not there yet. Oh I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry about that.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Right right, I was hoping for a spoiler seas.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
All right, you'll hear this. Wait, this is June, so
you'll hear this in November, am I right?

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Well right, I'm hoping to catch up by then. Maybe
I'll skip enough blind Scotts phone calls to catch up.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
You do that, you'll be right up to date. Within
a day, you'll be right back on track. There, Well,
where are you at?

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Are you? Did you just leave? Are you? Are you there?

Speaker 3 (32:37):
I'm about halfway. I'm not halfway through my thirteen hour dress.
I mean I just uh nentwered.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Virginia just oh, okay, you know that's the state for lovers.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
I think I think something like that, right, Yeah, they
have a license plat Yeah, they have a lover's thing
on the license plate or something like that. That all right,
we'll save travels there. Max down nine ninety five. Enjoy
Myrtle Beach with the kiddos. Take lots of photos because
there'll be old farts before you know it, all.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
Right, right in the year when I'm going somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
I can't wait. Man, this is great. I thank you.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
There's Max his yearly phone call on his way to
Myrtle Beach. I recommend Captain Hook's Pirated Venture or whatever
it's called. There's a miniature golf course with the pirates.
Oh really, yeah, it's the miniature golf capital of America.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
I want to stay up. No, no, no, that's Captain Hook.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
By the way, I understand we have a Beanoit Benjamin
call from Louisiana, and now let's I gotta take this
guy real quick. Chris, what's going on? Chris and Louisiana. Welcome, Hey, ben.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
I've called before. I've actually going to be a sports
director from the CBS Avilion here.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Okay, the show, Okay, I remember you.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
Yeah, yeah so, but Benjamin, he's from my home market
of Monroe, Louisiana. Really really cool, dude. I know, of
course a lot of stories, but uh yeah, man, it's
pretty wild hearing you bring up Benoy Benjamin.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
And I'm like, oh my god, does he live there?
Is he back in that area.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
From I'm not quite sure. Last I heard he wasn't,
but I got out with several years ago. Okay, sure,
but no, this is interesting here here to Benoy Benjamin reference.
And also, by the way, before you hang up, I'm
not too far away from Anthony and Louisiana. He's in
nearby Greenwood, which is twenty minutes away from me.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
So okay, well, I recommend I mean, that would be
a great feature. You go behind the scenes with Anthony.
Who's he's We know he's he's blind. He loves outback
steakhouse and Lorena. Those are the things in life that
are important to him.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
And another another quick fun fact too, Monroe, Louisian also
gave La Andrew Whitworth and Philip Palmer from ABC seven
and The Street Court.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Philip Palmer from Channel seven is from Monroe.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Who knew? I did not?

Speaker 2 (34:52):
I did not expect Philip Palmer's name to come up
local TV legend Philip Palmer here in LA.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
That's great, Chris, things are going well for you.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Chris, keep dominating the TV there in Louisianamo. Man, thank
you all right, b Well, Christ and Monroe send me
an email, Chris.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
There's Chris and Monroe, Louisiana.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
It is the Ben Mallor Show. So they are auctioning
off at courtside seats. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey sat
in at the Eastern Conference Finals game and.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
The bidding is up, up and away. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
So they sat there in Cleveland watching the Cavs lose
Game three and they are last week checked thirty eight
bids up to six thousand dollars for just a regular
old chair. Is the Ben Maler show. We have We've

Page Nan Doug Monkey Biz Doug is going with Georgia Honeybees.
Do you have an answer to the rite shaquilone?

Speaker 7 (39:14):

Speaker 2 (39:14):
That is incorrect? He correct answer to the late Great
Stacy King race Rest in peace. Stacy King died over
the weekend at age fifty nine. Way too young. Bulls legend,
well not a legend, but he was on the Bulls
when they were good.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
Here we go, Here we go, Here we go. It's smeller.
How about that? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (39:29):
Third, here we go?

Speaker 7 (39:30):
Yeah cool, I've been end of last week, Baker Mayfield
said that they are not anywhere close the Buccaneers and
him on contract talks. Do you think they'll eventually comes
to agreement or do you think we'll see Baker on
his fifteen eventually?

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Well, he's a I want to talk more about this
next next home. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
I'm at some point I'm gonna talk about this. But
Baker Mayfield's been up and down. He's not been consistent
with Tampa. He's been good at times, mediocre at times,
kind of in the middle. He's paid about what he
should be paid. I think they'll get something done. He
wants to be there, He's got roots there. I think
he'll stay.

Speaker 7 (40:03):
Next been that flag football player who should you said?
Who said that he thinks that Patrick Mahomes, you know,
wouldn't told the candle in five foot Well he tried
to walk that back, but he also said that he
only thinks one or two NFL players could make the
US men's Olympic flag football team.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
How many do you think we'll actually end up on it.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
I think at least half will be NFL players, if
not seventy five percent for marketing reasons.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Coopy next ye Ben.

Speaker 7 (40:28):
They said that there's a report that the Portland Trailblazers
are willing to trade for Giannis without any sort of
guarantee you'll stay. Do you think that's gonna give them
a leg up?

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Well, not with keeping Giannest, but yeah, if they're willing to,
who cares, they don't need a contract.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
Absolutely that would help him out. How we knows. There
we go, There we go.
