Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yabba-dabba-doo, and how do you do? It's hour number two. Well,
the Raiders head coach caught in a kerfluffle as we
begin hour two here on this Thursday, the 10th day
of September. Give me your reaction to the silver and
black coach, Clint Kubiak, speaking with a forked tongue on

(00:20):
the injury to tight end Brock Bowers. who had had
an operation the day before. You wouldn't have known that
if you had listened to Clint Kubiak, though. The alleged
victim in former Steelers star Antonio Brown's second-degree attempted murder
case has decided not to participate. Why the change of heart?

(00:41):
What do you think that's all about? And we go
to the boob tube. Why not? How do you decode
the latest comments by Mike Tomlin of NBC on his future...
In the NFL, we'll go there as well as we
do the Mallarmambo in our number two. Liar, liar, pants

(01:03):
on fire. Welcome in the beginning of another hour of
the Ben Maller Show. We are in the air everywhere.
Making life interesting as we feel the power of the

(01:23):
transmitters of FSR coast to coast, border to border, and
beyond on the vast and rhythmically powerful microphones of the
mighty Fox Sports Radio emanating live from the down. Touchdown!
In the back of the end zone, guaranteed human from

(01:47):
the world famous... Fox Sports Radio Studios. We're Milkman Mike
in Colorado and Fats in Philly are all about that bull,
and so are we. It's time to get your financial
portfolio game ready with Webull. Get powerful investing tools and
real-time data all in one platform. Get started by downloading

slash disclosures as we spill the beans. And I got
this memo from Dick in Dayton and Kathy in Madison.
And they reached out and they said, hey, I need

(02:30):
to hear about the king. And I said, well, what king? Oh,
that's DraftKings. Okay, I'll do that. Sure. Why not? The
wait is over. Football is here. And so is DraftKings.
DraftKings is now live in all 50 states.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
One app.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Every sport. All 50 states right now use the promo
code MALLER to claim your special offer at DraftKings.com. And again,
that's promo code MALLER, M-A-L-L-E-R, at DraftKings. The crown is yours.
So our lead this hour, we'll get back to the
lid lifter on the NFL season as the Seattle football

(03:06):
team getting help from the 12th man. As Drek May,
three interceptions in a row to close the game.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Interception.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Interception. Interception, interception, turn at the lights, the party's over. Yeah,
that's it. So the Seahawks, yet again, not all that great,
but they end up getting the win as they get
some help there from the 12th man, Drek May, getting

(03:38):
her done, getting her done. I was going to point
this out last hour. I did not point it out
last hour. That's a bad job by me. But did
you know the Drek effect? The Drek effect. So the
Seattle Seahawks, in these last two matchups against the Patriots,
the Seahawks have now scored more points off Drake May
turnovers in two games. They scored 27 total points in

(04:00):
the Super Bowl and this game off Drek May turnovers
than the Patriots have scored in total. The Patriots have
23 points in those two games combined, and the Seattle
football team, thanks to the generosity of Mayday, Mayday, Mayday,
27 points. The Seattle offense, without Drake May interceptions, without

(04:22):
the Drek, they ended up getting a grand total of
three points. But I got to hear all this propaganda about, oh,
the Seahawks defense was so good.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Well, if you throw the ball to the other team,
just hush down, okay? But our lead, we're going to
go to Vegas because I saw this story and I thought, oh,
my God, this is so good. This is so good.
And it does not necessarily directly involve Brock Bowers, basically.
It's about him, but it's not about him. So let
me explain. So Brock Bowers is the only player worth

(04:54):
watching on the Raiders. All the other players blow, and
the ones that don't blow suck. So the Raiders star
tight end Brock Bowers underwent a meniscus trim, trim trim
trim trim trim trim trim that happened on tuesday in
dallas suffered the injury during training camp hours expected to
be out a couple of weeks he'll miss the opener

(05:15):
of the season here against the miami dolphins so you
may have heard about that perhaps not the bigger story
though to me is how the Raiders handled the news.
In one of the all-time F-ups you could possibly have
as a head coach, Clint Kubiak, who already looks like
he's in over his head. That didn't take very long.

(05:36):
Another terrible hire by Tom Brady. Where have we seen
that before? I'm not impressed so far with Clint Kubiak.
So Clint Kubiak said on Wednesday... Quote, we're expecting to
have all of our guys ready for Sunday. He was
asked about Max Crosby and Brock Bowers. He said, we're
expecting to have all of our guys ready for Sunday. Now,

(05:57):
Bowers had undergone surgery the day before. The day before,
Clint Kubiak said, we expect to have all of our
guys ready for Sunday. Obviously, raising questions about the credibility
and the integrity of Clint Kubiak as a man... and
why he suggested that Bowers would be available when he

(06:20):
obviously had no chance of playing in the game against
the Miami football team. So that is a good jumping
off point. Let us discuss the question. Give me your
reaction to Raiders coach Clint Kubiak speaking with a forked
tongue on tight end Brent uh bowers there brock bowers

(06:42):
who's brent i don't know who brent brock bowers and
his injury so i've got hula hoops pistachio cream and
homecoming dance and we will combine all of these things
together and we are going to play rock paper scissors
that's what we're going to play but we always start
out even in dark days when you're Attacked by a cockroach.

(07:05):
We always start out with number one.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Number one.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
One, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Number one.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
All right. So Brock Bauer. All right. Stop. Brock Bowers
did not walk into Lowry's and say, hey, can you
use that knife at the carving station and trim the
meniscus like it's a nice piece of roast beef? Could you? No,
he didn't do that. You don't just randomly walk in
and have a meniscus operation unless you're in a car accident.

(07:37):
You don't just end up flying into Dallas getting an
operation like it's a wrong turn trying to find a Starbucks.
It's just so good. And yet Clint Kubiak served the
media a Vegas buffet of bologna. Ba-ba-ba-baloney. So there he was,

(08:00):
the Raider coach. That's a temp job, being coach of
the Raiders. Kubiak jumping through hula hoops with the injury report,
ensuring the truth never made it through. That truth hula
hoop never happened. Never happened. There were roughly ten ways,
ten ways, ten clean ways that Clint Kubiak, the coach

(08:23):
of the Raiders, could have answered the questions about his
star players, and instead he chose Pinocchio, capital P, Pinocchio,
for a self-proclaimed member of the God Squad. And we
hear a lot about that from Clint Kubiak. Good for him.
He's part of the God Squad. He clearly skipped the
chapter that said, Thou shall not lie. He must have

(08:46):
missed that one. And this was not gamesmanship. This was
a slow drive down, not Las Vegas Boulevard. It's a
little cutoff street there. Lye Boulevard. It's right next to Tropicana.
Lye Boulevard. Just say, I'm not discussing injuries. The injury

(09:07):
report will be out later. Why make yourself look... Does
he not know that people keep track of this stuff
and they take notes and whatnot? And keep in mind,
20 years ago, this would have just been cute and
you would have been like, OK, that's funny, you know,
and all that. But we live in the age where

(09:29):
the NFL is a conduit to the sports book. They're
in business with the bookies. The NFL is a business
partner with the gamblers. And I'm a gambler. So that's
just the way it is. And in 2026, hiding gambling data,
it's not just some kind of coaching trick anymore when

(09:51):
it comes to injuries. It is a full-blown integrity issue.
And it's a findable offense. for Kubiak. It's not the
first time he's done this. He hasn't even coached a
real game with the Raiders yet. And the Ashton Genting
thing where they had a prayer circle around him because
of a high ankle sprain. And now you've got Brock Bowers,

(10:15):
the tight end of the Raiders, who the day before
was in Dallas having his meniscus trimmed like a piece
of beef at Lowry's. And the day after, Clint Kubiak's like, well,
we got all our guys. We think we'll have all
our guys. Dum-da-dum-dum-dum. Now, speaking of dum-da-dum-dum-dum, we go to
the courthouse, and an old friend is back, Antonio Brown.

(10:37):
You see this?

Speaker 4 (10:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
So Antonio Brown in a whole lot of trouble, and
he's in a little less trouble now. The alleged victim
of the former NFL player, Mr. Big Chest there, Antonio Brown,
who is facing attempted murder charges, Antonio Brown, attempted murder charges.

(11:02):
Now that the person who is the alleged victim says
he no longer wants to participate in the prosecution there
in South Florida. with his attorney calling it a, quote,
deeply personal decision to forgive Antonio Brown over what happened.
That was back in May of 2025 in Miami. It

(11:22):
was a wild and wacky weekend there for Antonio Brown. Now,
Brown's attorney, what do you think he's saying? So Brown's
attorney hopes that prosecutors, of course, will drop the case.
that's it just drop the case uh though he does
not expect a immediate dismissal for antonio brown brown is
38 now he has claimed through his attorneys that he's

(11:46):
innocent he is seeking dismissal under florida's stand your ground
law if convicted antonio brown facing Up to 30 years
in prison. Now, the number that you have to worry
about is not the 30 years because it's always up to.

(12:07):
It's got some wiggle room. It's the 20-year mandatory minimum
that one has to worry about. That's the guarantee. You
get convicted, you're going to jail for 20 years. Antonio
Brown won't be out. They haven't gotten trial yet. But
he wouldn't be out until he's almost, do the math
on that, almost 60. Yeah, so there you go. Question.

(12:31):
We know the alleged victim in the former Steelers star
Antonio Brown second-degree murder, attempted murder, attempted murder case is okay. Listen,
I've decided to not participate in the case. We know
that's going on. So the alleged victim of this Antonio
Brown second-degree attempted murder case deciding not to participate. Why

(12:54):
the change of heart? Now, let me preface this with
a qualifier. We don't know whether Nickel changed hands or not. However,
you're allowed to notice the sudden outbreak of compassion is
awfully convenient for Antonio Brown. It does make you wonder

(13:14):
what's going on behind the curtain. And I've known, and
we all know, it's one of the things about being human.
We all have a price. Everyone has a price. And apparently...
Forgiveness now comes with a suggested retail price, retail value. Somewhere,
I imagine, at least in my head, that cartoon bubble

(13:34):
in my head, there's a let's make a deal money
booth with imaginary $ 100 bills swirling around while everyone insists
there's nothing interesting to see here. So Brown, he ends
up going and spending six months eating Dubai chocolates with
extra pistachio cream. Remember when he was on the lam

(13:57):
in Dubai and then he came back and now he's
facing a 20 years minimum if convicted. That's the minimum,
20 years in prison. And suddenly he discovers the joys
of charitable living and giving again. It's amazing what a
couple of decades in the who's gal can do for

(14:20):
your portfolio of generosity. So we'd love to see the
itemized receipt for this great spiritual awakening by Antonio Brown.
Now the problem is the alleged victim can forgive Antonio
Brown all he wants. He doesn't have the power though
to pardon him. It just makes things more difficult for

(14:41):
the prosecution. Prosecutors don't have to kind of pack up
everything and leave the courthouse and say that's it, because
all of this has been documented on cell phone cameras,
and there's a lot of different angles of it, a
lot of different angles of what happened that night in Miami.
So forgiveness might close the victim's playbook, but it does

(15:05):
not close the state's case, and the state does not,
from what we understand, accept coupons. Antonio Brown, he's... buddies
with the president. Maybe the president makes a phone call
on behalf of Antonio Brown and says, hey, help my
guy out a little bit. All right, final point. To
the boob tube we go, and that is where Mike

(15:28):
Tomlin was over there on NBC, and he mispronounced Jackson, Smith,
and Jigba, which upset a few people. God forbid you
don't speak the king's language, but I thought Tomlin was fine.
I enjoy his work. Much better than some of those
other stooges he's around. Anyway, Mike Tomlin not ruling out

(15:50):
a return to NFL coaching video at 11. This is
after leaving the Steelers and going over to television there
at NBC. Asked directly this week whether he might coach again,
Tomlin answered, quote, it's certainly not a 32-team league for me,
he said, but I've also learned to never say never.

(16:15):
Tomlin said he still loves the coach, including the profession's challenges,
developing young players, and the weekly seven-day competitive cycle. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
At the same time, though, Tomlin did say that he
has enjoyed the six months away from coaching and he
said the lifestyle on the other side that he previously

(16:38):
did not know. So the question, how do you decode...
Mike Tomlin's comments here on his NFL future. So Mike Tomlin,
the way I see it on this side of the microphone,
Mike Tomlin is on a coaching sabbatical with NBC paying

(17:00):
for the books. They're paying for the textbooks here. It's
been whispered in hushed tones that Tomlin is following the
Sean Payton mantra. Remember Sean Payton? After a long run
in the bayou, he left the Saints. And then went
to Fox for a little bit. And then now he's
with the Denver Broncos. So I look at what Tomlin did.

(17:22):
It's like a dog whistle. He's sitting there like now
on TV. He's the prettiest girl at the homecoming dance,
Mike Tomlin. All dolled up there, got all the makeup
on and all that. And there's a bunch of nervous owners,
these aristocrats. Watching from luxury suites, window shopping, every time

(17:42):
he's on NBC and every big game on Sunday night.
And Tomlin's just sitting there on the desk and he's
got this Svengali effect going. Not on the sidelines. You
put on that TV makeup. You put on the IFB
and you get the little microphone thingamajig there. And suddenly
everyone is hypnotized and mesmerized. They forget all the bad

(18:08):
stuff and all the teams that. in the playoffs for
Tomlin for so many years, and you overlooked that. Now, Tomlin,
what he did here is he cracked the door open
just enough, just enough to guarantee his name becomes a
fixture on the coaching carousel, which, oh, by the way,

(18:28):
it was going to be anyway. Every high-profile vacancy will
generate speculation until Tomlin He definitely says no. And the
only coach that I can recall who was as popular
as Tomlin, who didn't come back to coach, is Bill Cowher.
And that cursed every man, woman, and child that's watched CBS.
Cowher is not only on TV, he's terrible. Horrific. And

(18:53):
the fact that he's, I believe, still on CBS, and
Dungy was just as bad. They finally got rid of
Dungy over there at NBC, but my God. Anyway, Tomlin
isn't looking for just any job. Teams are going to
be auditioning for Mike Tomlin. For Mike Tomlin. Because he
has earned the right, considering his resume, to handpick the

(19:15):
groceries and the kitchen he wants to work in. And
he can handpick the restaurant manager. All of that stuff.
All of that stuff. It is the Ben Maller Show.
As we are rolling on here and still talk about that.
Game on Wednesday night as Seattle gets some help. They

(19:37):
certainly needed it. They weren't very good, but they got
some help. Sloppy performance. Poorly coached team, Seattle. But they
get the win thanks to Drake May's generosity. As we're
calling him now, Drek May. Because that, as we wax lyrical,
that was Drek. Absolute Drekky McDrek Drek. Oh, my God,

(19:59):
was that Drek. So bad. So, so bad. Anyway, we'll

(22:30):
traumatic near-death experience, but she survived.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
I need a pillow.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
She's here many times. Many lesser women would have not
shown up to work, but Lorena is huffing it out here.
As attacked viciously, she was assaulted by a cockroach, and
she's made it here. She can cheer her up at
FSR Tech Queen. That's FSR Tech Queen. If you have

(22:58):
any advice on how to avoid the cockroach, you can
certainly let her know. She'd like that. Help her out
a little bit there. In Koopaloop at AllBroncoFan. That's AllBroncoFan.
Your comments can and will be used against you in
the court of the Mallard Militia. So please, please act accordingly. Understand?

(23:23):
All right. You better understand that. If you don't understand,
then that's a bad job by you. That's a bad
job by you. Let's go to the many witty people
that are listening to the show. Alf the Alien O'Piner says, Maller,
can you stop harping on the Patriots' choke job and
shift your focus to the Red Sox and how they
split the bit, or spit the bit, rather, against Coop's Angels?

(23:48):
The Baltimore Freeloader account says, I'm glad the New York
media got a taste of what's to come with Coach
John Harbaugh. These New York losers will find out the
hard way about asking stupid injury questions. Not everyone's Kubiak.
I understand they're not used to winning in New York,

(24:10):
and the city never sleeps unless there's tennis. Unless there's tennis.
Everyone's sleeping. I did enjoy the people complaining. I call
them the night sleeper people. that they're not like us,
they sleep at night, and they were so upset. It
was so good. I couldn't read enough of those angry comments.

(24:31):
I love tennis. I can't believe you used to play
tennis till 3.30 in the morning. What's wrong with you?
What is wrong with you? Scrooge writes in, says, I'm
protesting the Who Am I game from last hour. Anyone
who said cockroach got the answer correct. Kyler Murray is
the size of a cockroach. and plays dead whenever he

(24:54):
steps onto a football field. Well, okay, fair enough. Analog Al,
your complaint, Scrooge, duly noted. Analog Al writes in, says
the Super Bowl Pittsburgh won against Seattle, I believe was
rigged for that jerk Bill Cowher to get a ring
because he was retiring. Yeah, that was atrocious. That was

(25:17):
in Detroit, I believe, right? The Seattle-Detroit Super Bowl. And
Ben Roethlisberger was, I believe it was Roethlisberger. He was terrible, right?
That was a horrible performance by him, if I remember correctly. Long,
long ago. Chip and the Cues writes in. And he
had one of the first Malheur meetings, me and Chip
and Dale. and there was a professor from Syracuse, and

(25:40):
my brother was there. We all got together there at
a restaurant in Syracuse. Chip in the Q's writes in, says,
A plus on the Mallard monologue. I wonder if some
crazy Pittsburgh fan, maybe someone named Pete perhaps, got a
hold of the victim in the Antonio Brown case and
told him it would be wise to forgive A.B. or
face the wrath of Steeler Nation. Yeah, but Chip, do

(26:05):
you think the Steeler fans are really that tight with
Antonio Brown anymore? I feel like they had a fair
falling out, a pretty large falling out. Analog Al also says,
listen to on Westwood One tonight, Kevin Harlan and Kurt Orner,
another year of greatness. And Kevin Harlan, I met him
at the Super Bowl a couple years back, the great
Kevin Harlan. I was flattered. He is a listener to

(26:27):
the show. He flies back after those Monday night games
and Thursday or whatever. I guess he has to normally
Monday night, and he did this game on Wednesday, and
he'll fly in. Lives in the Kansas City area, and
we're on the radio there, and he'll listen on his
ride home. So he's a fan. I thought he was
blowing smoke up Mike Tuckus, but he knew stuff about

(26:47):
the show. I was flattered. Good for my ego. I
appreciate that. All right, let's go take some calls here.
It is a call-in show, as we'll take your calls
at 877-99 on Fox. That's 877-996-6369. Got off to a
riveting start with our guy.
Hollering James last hour. Let's go to Spencer, who's in

(27:09):
the Valley of the Sun, and he is up next.
He's been hanging on for a while. He's got some
Seahawk propaganda. Hello, Spencer. Welcome, Spencer. What's going on with you? Hey,
my friend. I really appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
I've listened to you for.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
A long time. You're one of the most entertaining people
out there. The cynicism is as deep as it could
possibly get, and... You get most everything right, but I
kind of feel like maybe you haven't played football ever
in your life. Could you answer that question?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Have you played football? So just for the record, you
have decided to start with, that's called the dabble. We
call that the dabble. That's what Dabble Sweeney did at
Clemson when somebody called him out on his bull crap.
he immediately said, did you play football? That's what you're
starting with. That's what you're starting with. That's your opening line.

(28:00):
That's what you're beginning with.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Talking to, that's fair, isn't it? I don't think they
know who it is.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
I have talked about the NFL for longer than you've
probably been alive. So I think it's probably okay. I
think we're probably okay. But if you want to check
the resume, feel free to check the resume.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Tell me. Didn't I play for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Coop?
Remember when I played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers back
in the day? Do you remember that? Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
It was a good time.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
There used to be a team called the Edmonton Eskimos.
I might not have played with them, or maybe I did.
I don't know. No idea. What's your point? Go to
your point. Go to your point. Go ahead. What's your point?

Speaker 4 (28:44):
Let me summarize. My point is that the reason that
the Seahawks defense is so good is because they baited
him all night, and they capitalized.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
When he thought he was going to be a superstar.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
You don't believe that. It's literally what football is, and
if you're a good safety and understood the game, then
you would understand what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
That's why I asked you. You think that was a
good performance by the CLC?

Speaker 4 (29:12):
Should we respond with the knowledge of being in the
game and understanding how it works?

Speaker 2 (29:19):
So please answer the question, Coop, or.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
All right, we've moved on from that. Do you think
that was a good performance by Seattle? All right, the
witness is choosing not to answer the question, so we'll
move on. The Seattle Seahawks had 10 penalties for 19.

(29:48):
And it wasn't baiting, dummy. Drake May threw. It wasn't
just the interception. There were other passes that should have
been intercepted. He was terrible the entire game. It wasn't
because of any magic pixie dust the Seattle Seahawks put
on Drake May. He was bad. I don't think he
completed a ball more than a few yards past the

(30:09):
line of scrimmage the entire game. It was just awful.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
I agree with you entirely, almost everything, 99.9%. But what
you're missing is this is a marathon, not a sprint,
and the Seattle season started last year.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
They were not dominant. I don't remember Drew Locke playing
most of the game last year. I'll have to go
back and check my notes. I don't recall that happening.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
If you played football, you would know that. Okay.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
I'm sure you played a lot of professional football. I'm
sure you would. That's Meathead Guy. I'm going to mark
him down, Coop, on my notes here.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Good nickname, Meathead Guy.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
I'm putting Meathead Guy Spencer.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Why don't you just, I mean, why don't you tell
him that you did play football? You did play football, though.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Didn't you? I did play, but it doesn't matter. I mean,
it's irrelevant. This is, this, you know, that guy is
an agenda caller guy.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
There's a certain number of people that call the show.
There's insider guy. There's friend of the show guy. That guy, Spencer,
is he's he's like, hey, listen, you didn't play football.
I have an agenda. You know, you're wrong because you
didn't play. Yeah. I've got to tell you, I've heard
a lot of professional athletes on radio. Almost all of

(31:26):
them are terrible. So, I mean, you can listen to
those guys, and that's fine. But, I mean, there's maybe
a handful that are good. Most of them, they don't
know broadcasting. But you knock yourself out. It is the
Ben Maller Show. So this U.S. Open going on, people
complaining and whining and all that stuff about the U.S. Open.
So the Buffalo Bills heiress there, the next in the

(31:48):
line of ownership there, I guess at some point if
the Bills stay where they are, Jessica Pagula will end
up owning the Bills, right, because the family owns the
team and all that stuff. Well, she's been playing in
the U.S. Open, and she got a wonderful message from
Josh Allen. Wonder why. Wonder why Josh Allen, who plays

(32:13):
for her dad, sent a message out. But the tennis media,
they love when mainstream sports people crossover into their world
and they're very happy about that and so Josh Allen
speaking with the media ahead of the season opening there

(32:34):
for the Buffalo Bills and he gave a shout out
to the owner's daughter yeah how about that expressed his
excitement about cheering for her so the tennis media obsessed
with that so it's oh my god that is so
good That is so good. We are going to have

(32:54):
Benny versus the Penny for the Thursday night game in Melbourne, Australia.
Got the Rams and the 49ers, a couple of NFC
West rivals, thousands and thousands, 8,000 miles away or whatever
it is from the West Coast, and they'll be out
there playing some football at 1030 in the morning on Friday,

(33:15):
which will be 830 in the East on Thursday, 530
in the West. as the NFL season continues with game
number two. Time now, though, for the Insta trivia, as
we continue to poke fun at Drek May, the Patriots
quarterback who gave that game away for New England, handing

(33:36):
Seattle a win despite very sloppy, poorly coached football by
the Seattle football team. Patriots quarterback Drek May, the first
quarterback to throw three interceptions. in the fourth quarter of
a season opener with his team tied in the lead
or down by one score since at least 1991. So

(33:58):
Drake made the first quarterback to throw three interceptions in
the fourth quarter of a season opener with his team
tied in the lead or down by one score since
at least 1991. The only other players to do that
in any week going back to 2017, so pretty much
the last decade, are Sam Darnold, of course, because he sucks,
and blank. The only other players to do that in

(34:19):
any week since 2017 are Sam Darnold and blank. That
is the Insta trivia, the answer. We'll get to it,
and we will do it.

Benny versus the Penny warming up. Here is the in-stock trivia.
Patriots quarterback Drake May is the first quarterback to throw
three interceptions in the fourth quarter of a season opener
with his team tied in the lead or down by
one score since at least 91. That seems like a

(35:52):
long time ago. The only other players to do that
in any week since 2017 are, of course, Sam Darnold.
That was in 2018. And blank. And blank. That is
the question. What is the answer? And what do we
got here? The Ginja Ninja from Not a Burner. Look

(36:14):
at that. He's the moon. I think it's Ginja Ninja. Oh,
is that what I mispronounced? What else do we have?
Tobin Frost from Ostrich Ant. Art Schleister from Doc Dan.
Page Dan Bigfoot. Guest by Alf the Alien O'Piner, devastated
by Drek May. Mr. Mr. Unlimited, Russell Wilson from JT

(36:38):
the Wingman. Mike the Leprechaun. Oh, that's good AI for
Mike the Leprechaun from Malapropguy. CJ Stroud, Yankee fan from Mr. Irrigation.
Viva Los Vicky says, buenos dias, man. What about Peter Brady?
He says, who else do we have? Nathan Peterman from

(37:00):
Georgia Boy. Page down. The Raid Roach Motel from Fat Daddy.
Marcus Russell from Ship in the Queues. Who else do
we have? Page down. I can't read that. All right,
do you have an answer? Lorena. Seth Rogen? Is it
Seth Rogen? Is that?

Speaker 3 (37:21):
No.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
It is Tua Tunga Bailoa.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
That would be.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Last season in week 16. Tua Tunga Bailoa, then of
the Dolphins, now of the Falcons. Here we go. Let's
get to it.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Welcome, players.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Are you up for more Malheur mayhem?

Speaker 1 (37:37):
Yeah! It's time now with the Penny versus the Penny.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Woo!

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Back where it all started many years ago. Benny versus
the Penny, our triumphant return to network radio after getting
a tease with that big TV money. Here we are.
All right, let's get to it. It is the Thursday
night special here on the 10th of September. The 49ers
and the Rams, NFC West rivals. And they kick off
their seasons together 8,000 miles away in Melbourne, Australia. The

(38:07):
Rams on DraftKings, a three-and-a-half-point favorite team. And by the way,
the wait is over. Football's here, and so is DraftKings.
DraftKings is now live in all 50 states. One app,
every sport, all 50 states. Right now, use the promo
code MALLER to claim your special offer at DraftKings. Again,
that's promo code MALLER at DraftKings. The crown is yours.

(38:28):
So again, Rams, minus 3.5. Rams are the consensus with
the public. They are a popular pick by popular people.
Public betting leaning towards the Rams here as the public
buying into the media hype that the Rams will win
this game. and covered that 3.5, although it did open
closer to 2.5 and then moved because of all the

(38:50):
transactions the Rams made. The Sharps, on the other hand,
leaning towards the 49ers, and after a long analysis, I
am going to take, again, I like the Rams. The
Rams will win the game, but I'm going to take
the 49ers to cover the spread here. It's going to
take a little while to get that sink in sync
for Stafford and Puka Nakua and whatnot here, and so
these games are generally close divisional games. The 49ers are

(39:14):
healthy for the most part with Nick Bosa, George Kittle
and McCaffrey all in the lineup. And those guys will
be hurt as the season goes on. So they're all there.
It's mostly healthy versus mostly healthy. So I'm going to
take the three and a half points there. and i
will take the 49ers rams win niners cover the spread
and the penny picks here we go first time for

(39:37):
this ram 49er game in the air everywhere koopa loop
representing the penny what do we got.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
Well, the Penny landed on tails, and if my memory serves,
that means the away team.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
So they, too.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
They're both away teams, though.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Oh, that's a good point. But I think the Rams
are considered the home team, right?

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Okay, so the 49ers? Yes. Well, there we go. We're
two games in. This is the second. Yesterday, the same
thing happened. So both like the Niners. Penny versus the Penny.
