Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boom, shaka Laca.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
It's our numb bird two and here we go talking
football on the Ben Malor Show. Happy Thursday. It's eleventh
day of June. What message are the Chiefs sending with
this Patrick Mahomes reworked extension as he gets.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
More money, more money, more money, more money. And are
the Chiefs cooked? The doom and gloom crowds like, oh,
the Chiefs are messed with a salary cap now after
they reworked Mahomes contract. Are they in some salary cap peril?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
And what is Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins implying by saying
he is not the mentor of rookie Fernando Mendozo. We'll
go there as well, all of it right now, We've
got our shovel.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
We're ready to go. It's our number two.

now we're gonna pause for the monologue. We'll get back
to the commercials.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
All right, No, I'm kidding.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
I love the commercial As I've often said, we don't
have enough commercials. My goal is to have this show
fifty nine minutes of commercials one minute of content. That's
what I would like. And I think we're getting close.
I think we're getting close. I'm very happy about that.
So our lead this hour is not from New York,
where the Knickerbockers were given the gift Christmas in June Hanuka.

(04:30):
In June, the Knicks down twenty nine points. They were
getting ready for their last rights in that game, and
then san Antonio said, let me just fuss around, start
shooting some three point shots, and they had the greatest
choke job in the history of basketball. What an accomplishment.
And Wemby's gonna be wearing that for a long time, long, long, long,

(04:51):
long long time. However, I mentioned Kansas City. So Patrick Mahomes,
who is the gold standard at quarterback in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
He has made some headlines here did you hear what
happened to him? You did not.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
We learned that Mahomes and the Chiefs have agreed to
a reworked contract. We ties him to the team through
twenty thirty three. The total value of said contract now
five hundred and four million dollars, the first NFL contract
to exceed half a billion dollars. Yeah, Mahomes gets two

(05:30):
hundred and thirty nine million in new money, allegedly adds
two years on the previous deal. And so we can
go through all the numbers if you want. That's pretty boring, Mahomes.
Starting in twenty twenty seven, Mahomes will average sixty four
million per year. Yeah, that's right my tax bracket, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Close. No, it is not, apparently not.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
That'll be a new NFL record starting in twenty twenty
seven until somebody else zoom's. So that is a good
jumping off point. Let us discuss the question what message
are the Chiefs sending with this Patrick Mahomes reworked contract extension.
So my thoughts, I've got T mobile, battery powered flashlight,

(06:15):
and Dino nuggets, and we will combine.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
All of these things together.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
We're gonna try to shnazz up the radio Show'm gonna
shnazz it up and we'll give you a high five.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
So a this one is rather simple.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Kansas City is shooting off a text message to everyone
else in the NFL, and it reads, we ain't going anywhere,
you bozos, and not just Boso the district attorney, you bozos,
for anyone hoping for a downfall. The heartbeat is still there,

(06:49):
that's what this is. The Fat Lady has not sung yet.
The party's not over, and the Chiefs are already reloading
the confetti cannons, getting those ready, and so the rest
of the NFL, this franchise, the Chiefs are like, hey,
we're cockroaches. We're the ultimate cockroaches, and we refuse to die.
The dynasty's not over yet. They just took a little

(07:10):
break here. Mahomes is the NFL's team mobile tower, full bars,
full coverage, no outages with his contract, and he is
the bedrock of Arrowhead for the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
And look, Mahomes the foundation.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Everything else is just it's interior decorating everything else on
the Chiefs. And Clark Hunt, the guy that runs the team. There,
he came out. He's been spreading the gospel. He's got
knee pads on praising mahomes generational talent and elite human being.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
And of course I always loved the elite human being, Like,
how does anyone know that? Anyway?

Speaker 2 (07:48):
So it was kissing your ass, that's it. Why not
I get it. You get your ass, kiss both cheeks
when you've been to five Super Bowls and won three championships,
that's usually how that goes. Keeping the buzz going here. So,
salary cap dooman gloomers.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
You know who you are.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
The nerds in the back of the room, the salary
cap truthers. I am a salary cap truther.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
They're not.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
We disagree, but the salary cap dooman glomers dooman gloomers
are up in arms saying that when the contract kicks
in the contract increase, Mahomes will be making sixty four
million annual average value AAV sixty four million per year
starting in twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
The question are the chiefs now?

Speaker 2 (08:34):
According to the salary cap dooman gloomers, the chiefs are
cooked because of the increased money, and they will not
have enough money to fill out the roster properly. And
so even though they get Mahomes. They're not going to
give him enough players around on the roster. So's he's cooked,
He's porked. So are the Chiefs cooked? Hell No, I

(08:56):
don't believe that. I don't believe that that money is
just the cost of doing business in the NFL. Now,
Brett Veach the GM in Kansas City, like every other
good team, he is playing a shell game with the
salary cap, the payroll, chasing that financial that little p
under the walnutshell for the third time in six years,

(09:20):
futching around with the salary cap. And so the Chiefs,
if the math is right here, they have committed six
hundred and eighty nine million in new money to Mahomes
through twenty thirty three. If Mahomes is still the super
nova that he had been, then this is fine.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
It works, Mazeltov, good for you.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
However, if Mahomes is now a battery powered flashlight, then
that's a much different conversation because this becomes a capitol
Q quagmar. It's a big quagmire. And yet belief is undefeated.
People believe that Mahomes is the top quarterback. However, lately,

(10:03):
the legend is still elite. The commercials are still elite.
The stat sheet is filing a grievance, and he has
become in the last year and a half the NFL
screen merchant, the Sultan of swing passes, relying on the
short game, the helter skelter improv plays while blaming many

(10:25):
around the Chiefs, blaming the supporting cast and all that.
The eyeball test says Mahomes has not been quite as
good recently, and the numbers back that up. In twenty
twenty four, despite a Super Bowl run, he was average
fifteenth rank quarterback in the NFL. Mahomes and this past
year he was number twenty one on the Big Board
of Quarterbacks, neck and neck with Justin Fields, who is

(10:49):
now the backup at Arrowhead. Nevertheless, it is a pure
man who shot liberty valance situation when it comes to Mahomes,
when the legend becomes the fact, you print the legend.
The Chiefs have already made so much money off Mahomes
and all that, and so even if they paid him
a billion dollars, that would not cover the amount of

(11:10):
money they've been able to take in because of their
success in this golden era of Chiefs football. Now, last
word to Viva las Vegas, we go. The Raiders always
carrying some excess baggage and good for headlines, not good
for wins, not good for wins. They're always rowing upstream
against the tide. I bring this up because Kirk Cousins,

(11:33):
who I believe is thirty seven now and signed with
the Raiders, and he is now pushing back on the
very popular narrative that he was brought to Vegas solely
to mentor Fernando Mendoza, the unpolished quarterback who for some
reason was taken number one over the out of Indiana

(11:58):
the Hoosiers. Here's twenty two Fernando Mendoza. Cousins, when asked
about all that said, the labeling by the media of
him as Mendoza's mentor is quote a bit of a
reach and quote more of a narrative than it is
the truth. Now, Cousins emphasized a collaborative dynamic of working together.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Well, isn't that special.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
So the question what is Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins implying
by saying he is not the mentor of rookie Fernando Mendoz.
So this is one of those things that comes up
pretty much every year where there's some young hotshot quarterback
that enters the NFL and there's a more experienced quarterback

(12:45):
ahead of them. The NFL, and especially the media in
the NFL, they're all buddy buddy. They love to sell
mentorship in the NFL. It's like a Disney You like
Disney selling magic. They love it. It's a scam, it's
a myth. It's a bedtime story for you gullible dopes.
Kirk Cousins is not mentoring anybody. He's trying to keep

(13:09):
Mendoza from stealing his parking spot, is.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
What he's trying to do there. Now, it's already preordained.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
According to Clint Kubiak, the coach, you never have to
learn the name of the Raiders coach because they don't
last long. Clint Kubiak has indicated that Mendoza would ideally
sit and learn with a veteran such as Cousins or
go the Raiders. They are saying they want Cousins to
be what a bridge. Cousins wants to be a drawbridge.

(13:38):
He wants to go up closed nobody's crossing. The drawbridge
is up, and so Mendoza can learn if he learns
by osmosis.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Great.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
If not, he's gonna learn by watching Kirk Cousins get sacked.
The Raiders overdrafted a project.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
To be kind who let's just say, in.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
The cooking world, the culinary world needs a lot of seasoning,
and they have paired Fernando Mendozo with a guy in
Kirk Cousins who doesn't want to share the salt or
the pepper, wants to keep all the salt in the pepper.
So thinker Mendoza like a startup and Cousins is the
legacy software.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
They do not integrate, not in a mean way.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Cousins doesn't have I don't think he has a mean
bone in his body, which is part of the problem.
They're not going to be buddy buddy. They're not going
to be enemies though, and so Cousins is not planning
on feeding Mendoza Dino nuggets in the Raider quarterback room.
He's not even going to give him the Wi Fi
password over there in Henderson, Nevada. So if Cousins wants

(14:45):
to mentor right, if that's what he wants in life,
he'd retire and go coach a high school team somewhere
in Georgia or Texas or wherever. Instead, Cousins will start
the twenty twenty sixth season. The Raiders open up the
regular season in September against them Miami football team, the Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Couple of teams that used to matter, that don't matter.
They're irrelevant.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
They're laughing stock franchises, the Dolphins and the Raiders. And
so while that's going on, Fernando Mendoza, we anticipate we'll
put on a fit bid or an Apple Watch and
get ten thousand steps up and down on the sidelines.
So that is how that is going to go. It
is the Ben Mahlor Show. As we are road in

(15:25):
road enrolled and we have more of the World Cup.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Pick them.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
We had hollering James last hour representing the people. We
need more of the people. There's already controversy. Koopeloop is
accusing the host of this show of some funny business,
which is outrageous, outrageous accusations. I will contact my lawyer.
How dare you? I will contact hr, But.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
We'll have the World Cup. Pick them.

greatest choke job in the history of the NBA Finals. Congratulations,
san Antonio, You've embarrassed yourself to a twenty nine point lead.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Played Gutlass basketball.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
The Spurs went up twenty nine and then decided we're
gonna futs around shot a bunch of three point shots.
They lost discussing that and also we got the World
Cup pick them. This hour we talked about Patrick Mahomes
getting a contract extension.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Well not well, it's extension. They redid the contract. They
moved some money around so they have more money to
play with.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
There.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
That's how that goes. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
The call in number on X at Ben Mallor. That's
at Ben Mallard. I'm not a track part the women
of the program. And you can say a loud of
the rain of FSR tech Queen Hi Bell, no talking
and cooble loop over there at a Bronco fan.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
That's a Bronco fan. Your comments can and we'll be
used against you in the court of sports radio. So
please act accordingly. I want to Yes, you do.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Who's your Bill Wrights and says I have to push
back on Coop Ben. As we all know, you have ADHD.
Get help, Ben, you have good insurance. I do not
have ADHD. I don't Thanks for asking if ferg Dog
says I cannot handle anymore the baseless cheating accusations that
have been leveled against you. I've already lived through Watergate,

(18:23):
the flate gate. I will not put up with hopper Gate.
Nixon was innocent and so is Ben. That's from Fergdoll. Yeah,
there's accusations going on here which is ridiculous. Now random
Ryan bugget it, buggety, buggety from Carolina Wrights, and he
says a fun video is trending of Ben Stiller, the
number one New York NEPO baby, walking past and ignoring

(18:46):
a skid row alum in front of MSG before the game.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
All right, I have no idea what that's all about.
I haven't seen the video.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
I did see this video developing story overnight. Did you
see what happened when the San Antonio Spurs team bus
pulled up to their Manhattan hotel as the players shuffled
off the bus to get into the hotel there in Manhattan?
Well and mentioned this a subway ratsk in a subway
rat There was a frenzy you had. It looked like

(19:17):
a couple hundred people outside razing the Spurs, and a
lot of them were doing the Statue of liberty. Now
you know what the Statue of Liberty is they were
not witnessing what was going on. They had their arm
extended with their smartphone to record the video of the
players walking in well while this was going on in

(19:38):
the Nick fans, of course, the vison they were there
was to boo the Spurs as they exited the team
bus and entered their hotel late at night, and someone decided,
I'm no longer going to be a non playable character.
I would like to be part of the game. And
so they chucked something at Victor Wembanyama and Kilden Johnson
of the Spurs, and because they were likely so intoxicated

(20:01):
as New York Nick fans are celebrating that win, that
whatever they threw hit the street light between the two
players and fell to the ground. Now, when Banyama, for
some reason, I guess just natural reaction, he turned around
to look.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Now, I think they tell you if somebody's thrown something.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
At you, you might want to get undercover and get
in the building. But he turned around and kind of
looked like, Hey, who did that and what's going on
with that?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
So it looked like whatever.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Was thrown shattered and there was debris that fell fell behind.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
So interesting.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Let's go to the phones and we'll have the World
Cup pick them coming up here in a moment. Let's
say hello to Anthony and Louisiana. Hello Anthony, welcome, Hello Anthony,
you're on the doing. If I was any better, I'd
be Wemby, but not Victor Wembanyama because he just authored
the greatest choke job in NBA history.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Oh you do you say, do something at the Sanatoyo player.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Well, the fans threw something that they threw something. I'm
talking about the game. The Spurs blew at twenty nine
point lead. But yeah, after the game, going to the hotel,
they somebody threw something at Wemby. It hit the They're
so they were so intoxicated. It hit the street light
and bounced down.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
Yeah, they could they put up the game.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Oh look at that. That's coop.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Can you send that out on the Fox Sports Radio
X account. Anthony and Louisiana are NBA insider. You are
our shams. You know that, Anthony, you're our insider. You
give us inside information. So send that out, Coop.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Yeah, yeah, be your you in the rain Y'll tell meal.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Oh well, thank you.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
I appreciate right kind you and you're you want to
say hi to anybody.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
You want to?

Speaker 3 (21:53):
You know, Hey, couse, what up Anthony? How you do it?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
It's almost Friday?

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I am, I'm ready for the weekend.

Speaker 6 (22:02):
Yeah, you got good to the humor.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Yeah, that's always Finn. When women say it's almost Friday,
I almost always laugh. I've never heard a woman say
it's almost Friday in that left.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
How about you? Cool?

Speaker 7 (22:13):
Yeah, it's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
It's good female comedy right there. Yes, Oh that's so nice.

Speaker 7 (22:22):
I've heard mixed reviews.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
It's good to hear from you.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Thanks for calling in and okay, thank you Anthony.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
There we go our buddy Anthony in Louisiana. Find him
on a hot date at Outfact Steakhouse eating a bloomin onion.
Let's say hello to Andrew in Bakersfield, California.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Hello Andrew, Welcome Andrew Raw.

Speaker 8 (22:47):
I'm gonna give it to you with no trivia. We're like,
you know, straight from Bolivia. My hip hop will rock
and shock the nation like the Emancipation Proclamation. We MC
that's for Keith from Staten Island. The West Cider and
Scoota and.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Art and Pat what what did I just say? Huh
what what? What was that?

Speaker 8 (23:11):
That was Wu Tang?

Speaker 1 (23:13):
So why did you do that? Why? Why? Why?

Speaker 8 (23:16):
Okay, why did you think that was?

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (23:20):
They said there was a Trump curse? How dare you
he built a lot of New York with his bare hands?

Speaker 1 (23:25):
But yes, yes, Donald Trump was out there with a hammer.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
And so Wang has the antidote and then pick up
the Wu Tang double CD and you'll get all the
education you need for this year.

Speaker 8 (23:44):
You know what I mean? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Okay, Wow, this is amazing content.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Let's go to Dan in Saint Louis, who is going
to actually say something worthy of conversation.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Hello, Dan, we have the World Cup pick them coming up.
We're going to do two rounds of the World Cup.
Pick I'm coming up. Hello Dan, the man in Saint Louis.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
You know Ben, let me in the first state this. Uh,
I'm a totally blind person, so anytime that what's coming
out of my mouth might be here to say. In
the game that we watched tonight, I would say this.
When you think about the twenty nine point choke jobs
that san Antonio did, and the coach for san Antonio

(24:28):
did his best impression of I'm the coach of Chicago
as well as la what's his name, Phil Jackson, Pie Jackson.
That's right. Don't call it fum freaking timeouts. Don't call
a freaking time out the whole third quarter to the
middle of the fourth quarter. Will you understand me, When

(24:52):
you're going on the fifty or something, run, you don't
call a timeout. You have to question yourself, is this fixed?
Not always that, Ben, But let me say this. When
they called the over ran back, I'm a blind person,
totally blind.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
They didn't call They didn't you talking about Alvarado, They didn't.
They didn't call it.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Say this one referee they said did call it. Then
they went back to the paper stuff and they said
that somebody and you tell me, Ben or anyone Marcellus,
that crazy guy Oodles and Noodles tell me called a
time out from the New York mix.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Nobody, nobody.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
There was a boodom call. Everybody was looking at the ball.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Yeah, and I know you're blind, trust me, you saw
better than the referees as a blind man that you
knew that was.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
There was a violation. It looked like a violation to me.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
Dan.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Let me tell you somewhere where have you been? Damn,
we need you part of the show over there talking
about please.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
It's you know? And how about this Dan? How about that?
The fans of the of the Knickerbockers. Uh. They started
when they went back to New York for Game three.
They were rhythmically chanting. You remember they were chanting on.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Knicks in four, knicks in four right.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Then then it looked like things were not going well,
so they went from Nixon for they lost office.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
The other night.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
And then at the beginning of the refs you suck,
they were blaming the refs. We were blaming the refs.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
Do you know? Let me say that in Lorena. If
you don't know what Missouri is, well write five minutes
around from ecstasy anywhere in the car. You know, I
won't let you know this. I'll tell you what. Man, Hey,
look five seconds and then may uh we missed us throws.

(26:50):
If you would have made any one of those sweet
throws and we wouldn't be talking about this.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Yeah, hey, let me let me say this.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Then there's some people are trying to compare what Taron
Fox did to j R.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Smith. I believe what j R. Smith did is still worse.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
He dribbled out the clock in a tie game. It
doesn't get better than that. It does not, Dan Jr.
Smith years ago, he dribbled out the clock. The game
was tied. He thought the game they were winning. All Right,
I gotta listen. You gotta call me, Dan, Dan, listen
to me. All right, I need you to call this
show more.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
I like you.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
You you you know what you are. You could be
the rookie caller of the year. You don't even know it.
This is like the first time we've talked. You got
a call more.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
You know what. I don't want to take.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
No, trust me, you do you do?

Speaker 8 (27:30):
Dan?

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Let me tell you, Dan, Dan, Dan, listen to me.
All right, you keep calling. I'm gonna give you. We'll
give you a nickname. The militia will give you a nickname.
You almost cursed on the air, which I love.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Don't do that.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
That's what That's what Lucky Tony does.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
And it was really close.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
He got half the F word on the air, but
not not quite. All right, listen, I gotta go, Dan.
We got this World Cup picking.

Speaker 5 (27:50):

Saint louis a big fan of your work.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
All right, let's get to here we go. Give me,
give me some music or something. I don't know. I
got the hopper. Here we go. It's just the World Cup.
It's on Fox. You better watch, and I think Fox
Sports radio too. Right, let me to say something about
that from the games on Fox Sports Radio. All right,
who's up here? We're doing the round three? Is this correct? Coop?

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Round three? And we have representing the people chance two percent?
Chance from Alabama? Am I right on that?

Speaker 1 (28:28):
That is correct?

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Welcome in Chance from Alabama? Are you a big soccer fan? No,
I'm okay, I'm a soccer fan. Every time the World
Cup happens. I like soccer. That's what that's when I
like the soccer. All right, we're gonna spin the We're
spinning the hopper and good luck. Here we go round
and round and hold on a second bill.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
All right, number forty six, that's for me. I guess right,
I'm up about forty six? What is that? Coop? Yeah? Turkeyes? Okay,
did I cheat again, Coop because I took turkey?

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (29:07):
See, now you're gonna pick one. That one suspicious?

Speaker 2 (29:11):
All right, Coop's next pick on the hopper, number thirty six.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
All.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
By the way, all the teams in the World Cup
all forty eight. We've alphab supposedly alphabetically, we've numbered them,
and so there's a number with each team. And so
I don't have the thing in front of me. Coop
does number thirty six, Coop, number thirty six.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Of your team? Hutter? Qatar, I thin, Kitar? I thought,
is it cutter? I don't know. You say cutter, I
say Qatar. The world goes right? All right, Lorena, you
were up next. You know where that is, by the way,
the Lorena, you know where that is?

Speaker 8 (29:40):
Right?

Speaker 3 (29:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (29:41):
I think Africa.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
It's the Middle East. Yeah, I think the Middle East,
which could be Africa technically. All right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Let's see here, Lorena, you are at number twelve, number
twelve for Lorraine the World Cup. Pick them, curius, Yeah,
congrat good beaches, right, don't they have good beaches?

Speaker 1 (30:02):
And cursel am I correct? Who knows? All right? Round
and round and go all right? Okay, two percent chance,
supercent chance. Here we go, two percent chance.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
The hopper has stopped, and you get number twenty, number
twenty for two percent chance representing the.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
People Ghana, Ghana, Ghana. What makes the same joke? You're
all a bunch of children.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Just as long as it's not gonna rhea your good art,
it speaks there you go, yeah, go to see a
doctor immediately. Okay, here we go. We're gonna spend the
hopper and chance you're you're up again. Here chance on
the hopper, round and round and the hopper stops.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
And number twenty eight, Number twenty eight Morocco. We're all
like that.

Speaker 7 (30:51):
They're actually one of the top ten countries in the
World Cup. Really yep, number number seven.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Aren't there beautiful.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Women in Morocco and rich people like I feel like
I've heard Morocco a.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
Lot you women everywhere.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
That's right, that's not all like a chance got joke
number three for Lorena number three, Oh Australia. Okay, very cool.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Ozzie was Ozzie will be happy about that? And next
up is Coople Up. We're spinning the hopper.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Everyone number one, number one, number one? All right? And
you got number one? Yeah? Yeah, did you cheat? What
were the freaking odds you would get number one? You
schmucked Argentina. Let's go mess ah.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
How do you do that, dude? Defending champs? Let's go
all right, shut up. Here we go, my last pick.
Here we go. I've got number forty two. That sounds terrible.
What is number forty two? Forty two is Spain? That
actually is not terrible.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
That's not bad.

Speaker 7 (32:03):
They're the number two ranked. They're actually ranked higher than Argentina.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Yes, all right, then I don't know.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
I literally know nothing about soccer. I will pretend to
be an expert. I know, Doug, all right, two percent chance,
that is two rounds in. You feel pretty good for
your You got Ghana, so that's good. Not ghanahea, you
got the Ghana. What else did you get? You got
the other team?

Speaker 7 (32:28):
That's right?

Speaker 1 (32:29):
And again it's this morning.

Speaker 8 (32:31):
I like Morocco, but I'm hoping it's good. I know
nothing about soccer.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Now you can watch the World Cup and we don't either.
That's the whole point of the bit. The whole point
of the bit is we know nothing about soccer, and
that's the fun of the bit.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
And so we'll do it.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
And then it's team Ben, Team Coop, Team Loreina and
then two percent chance and hollering James representing the people.
So that'll be the callers, the people that listen to
the show. So there you go, all right, I thank
you two percent chance there in Alabama. We'll do this
each hour on the hour.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Why not? What the f we have mallardly third degree

they need to take a shower. What do we have
Lebron's buddy child Bronnie from Doug in South Korea, Sydney

(36:43):

And who else do you have? Page Dan.

Speaker 2 (36:56):

guessed by Ike and Roseville, Minnesota, Cookie Rojas from Doc Dan.
That's his answer. Who's your Bill said? We need more

Speaker 1 (37:14):
We need that, all right? Do you have an answer? Lorain? No,
I'm gonna go with Brandon Aubrey. Brandon Aubrey is it
Brandon Aubrey?

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (37:24):
No?

Speaker 1 (37:24):
That is completely wrong.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
No, The correct answer is Clay Thompson back in twenty
nineteen for the Golden State Warriors.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
So O, g N Andoby on the way to breaking
that mark.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
Here we go, Here we go, Here we go to
the third degree. This is one big Van gets grilled.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
All right? Cool well.

Speaker 7 (37:48):
Usually when players express their individual goals for the season,
they're pretty lofty. Not the case with Packers Wide receiver
Christian Watson. Although it might be lofty for him, Watson
says he's aiming for more than eleven hundred yards double
digit touchdowns. Now, Ben, I know you said that he
doesn't deserve his contract extension, But do you think he
can hit these goals?

Speaker 2 (38:07):
No, because something's gonna go haywire. He gets hurt all
the time. To get those numbers, you have to stay healthy.
You're not gonna get those numbers who you play eight
or nine games. And that's just the reality of Watson.
He has not been able to stay healthy. That's the problem.
When he's played, he's been good, he hasn't been great.
The Packers are betting clearly that Christian Watson is gonna

(38:28):
take off the training wheels and go to the next level.
I see no evidence that would indicate that he's going
to be able to make it through a season healthy,
and so I'm going to know those are not realistic goals.
To get double digit touchdowns, you have to play in
pretty much every game.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Because you're not gonna usually get more than one touchdown
a game. Very rarely does that happen.

Speaker 7 (38:49):
Next, now, Kyrie Irving is now being linked to four
realistic trade suitors in the Pistons, the Timberwolves, the Rockets,
and the Lakers. Ben, would you take a shot with
Kyrie if you were one of those teams?

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Hell No, The idea of Kyrie Irving is great.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
The reality of Kyrie Irving is he doesn't much like
Christian Watson. He doesn't play that much. There's always some
kind of underlying condition when Kyrie is on your team.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
It's been consistent other than when he played with Lebron.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Right outside of that, I guess you can say, well,
we can join join Lebron and he's getting older, which
means Kyrie is going to get hurt even more based
on the comparisons to other athletes that have come before him,
So he'll he'll obviously get a job.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
I would not want Kyrie on my team.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
I would not get excited, which means he'll probably end
up with the Clippers next.

Speaker 7 (39:39):
Speaking of the Mavericks, it's also being reported that they
are targeting Joel Embiid. Would this be a mistake or
could a flag Embiid pairing make some noise?

Speaker 2 (39:47):
So there's a theme here, Coop, and the theme is
all of these guys are not all that available, and
so yeah, if Joel embiid, if you gave some kind
of health serum, some kind of some kind of punch
that he could drink and be healthy. All yeah, sure,
Joe and Bid would be wonderful, absolutely great with flag

(40:08):
that's not going to happen, so hell no, Uh don't
want that combination.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
If I'm Dallas, how did we do cool?

Speaker 2 (40:14):
He passes at a show that is a wit, put it
on the moon when it went, and w a chicken dinner.
