Playball. It's our number two, our number two, ready to go.
And in Chicago, the Cubs have been up and down
and all around. They've been body slammed of late for
the most part, and their big free agent pickup has
been a bust. How does Alex Bregman saying he's been
(00:23):
terrible for the Cubs hit you he's the cheating ass hole. Also,
are you buying that Red Sox owner John Henry has
not considered sacking general manager Craig Breslow. We'll talk about that.
In addition, from Kansas City in the NFL, how big
(00:43):
a deal is this pickup of the Jerius Sneid as
he goes back to the Chiefs after spending a couple
of years in Tennessee. We'll talk about that and more
right now here. It is our number two. Oh you
get that big free agent pickup. We're all excited. And
then they go out there and they fly the friendlieskis

I've not heard from Kevin in a long time.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Now.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
I share the birthday with Kevin's son, his late Sun there,
and Kevin will call in every once in a while
and regale us with amazing tales. And he wanted you
to know about Express if you're skilled in manufacturing, skip
the online job search nightmare. Express Employment professionals connect skilled machinists, welders,

(03:35):
Perto says, it's all about Express Employment profession Right. There
you go, and we are good, and we move on.
We now move ahead in the broadcast, and we move
ahead of the broadcast, and we talk baseball, talk in
base We we'll get back to the NBA finals. So
you guys didn't seem that interested based on the reaction,
a small sample size of reaction. So our lead this
(03:56):
hour is from Chicago. Well they have a problem. They
went out and signed this free agent from the Boston
Red Sox, the forever dirty Alex Bregman, who is always
going to be known as a cheating asstro even though
he's changed laundry a couple of times. So Bregman has
(04:17):
not only been a player for the Cubs, he's been terrible.
And there's an other way to say it. He took
responsibility for the horrific play this season as we are
sitting here in June. So if you didn't see this,
perhaps not. He said, quote, I have been terrible. I
need to play better. Bregman belly ached in the understatement
of the year. Offensively, it's been awful. I've failed many
(04:41):
times in this game. I have struggled. And then he
went on to say they, meaning the Cubs brought me
here to play good baseball and I haven't played good baseball.
That's an understatement again. I need to figure it out,
you think so, Bregman mentioned mechanical issues like he's a robot,
and he said out in front on soft and late
(05:04):
on fastballs, So that seems to be a bit of
a problem, disconnected and just not doing what the Cubs
geniuses thought he was going to be doing there and
much to the chagrin of Yafimi and our buddy Tree
in Chicago, who are die hard Cub fans and not
happy about this at all. So that is a good
(05:24):
jumping off point. Let us discuss the question, how does
Alex Bregman saying that he's been terrible? How does that
change things? How does that hit you with the with
the Cubs. So I've got lethal dose, Carl's Junior, and
childhood toys, and we will combine all of these things
(05:48):
together and we were going to play tic tac toe
is what we're going to do. And to play tic
tac toe, you always start out by saying number one,
number one. Oh what.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
A right?
Speaker 1 (06:03):
So answer the question, how does Alex Bregman saying that
he's been terrible for the Cubs hit you? It's my
word is whooped? Damn? Do is how it hits me?
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Now?
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Bregman admitting that he is bad is kind of like
a tornado apologizing for that breeze that blew through town.
I'm apologizing for that. Listen, we are taking I'm not
going to sit here and pretend something's going on. This not.
We are taking great joy out of watching this ineptitude.
It is a lethal dose of shot in freude. And
(06:38):
it's just wonderful, all these years later to still be
celebrating the demise of these cheating a holes that were
not punished by the Gutlass Commissioner of Major League Baseball.
You can call it karma, you can call it cosmic
justice if you want. Whatever you call it. Bregman Season
is a Yelp review which has been written by The
(06:58):
Baseball Guy and I love it. The sleez bag is
drowning in slop. He's thirty two, he appears to be
aging Bregman like in dog years, and he signed a
five years in the year one of a five year,
one hundred and seventy five million dollar contract. He carries
an AAV that's average annual value of thirty five million,
(07:21):
meaning that he is the highest paid cub in history
in AAV. Take that, Sammy Sosa, Ernie Banks and all
the other legends of cub Baseball gone by. This is
the biggest average annual value contract ever given out by
the Chicago Cubs, and the guy blows. But wait, there's more.
It gets even better with deferred money. The Cuppies will
(07:45):
be paying him until twenty forty one. He's gonna get
that Dodger like payout deferred money, although it's obviously from
the Cubs till twenty forty one by then, based on
how he's played this year, Bregman, he'll be throwing you
out first pitches at Wrigley Field from a Rascal scooter
out there at the ballpark. And the Cubs offense has
(08:07):
been overall a disaster, and you've got the the Bregman
thing is the micro and the macro problem. This is
the get the big hit or go home type business.
That's how baseball operates, and it's barrel or bust, and
it's been a whole lot of bust lately. And so
the bozo, the cheating asstro forever Alex Bregman him just
(08:31):
one seventy eight with runners in scoring position, and that's
not good. Dragging his ops. He's heading into play on Monday,
he was at six sixty nine and he's hitting a
pathetic one thirty eight on slop on changeups and one
thirty five overall on breaking pitches. So I didn't play
(08:52):
major league baseball. I'm just telling you that does not
sound good to me. Why are you so negative? Just
pointing it out, just pointing it out every bat, every
bat For Regman, it's like he's joined a humanitarian mission
with NATO to help out opposing pictures. How can I
help out? Can I hit a little weak ground ball
(09:12):
to shortstop or pop it up? What can I do
to help the opposing pitcher? And this is just the beginning,
This is just the beginning. Meanwhile, we go to Boston
where the Red Sox are having a barf bag worthy
twenty twenty six season, so some of the game on
Monday they lost yet again. Currently sitting in the sewer
(09:34):
of the American League East, bringing up the very rear
the keister of the AL East, the rumors have swirled
about the job security of the GM. Craig Breslow, the
head nerd of the Red Sox. He played, He's you
wouldn't know he played based on his nerd qualities. There
So we are now hearing the Red Sox are telling
(09:54):
their friends in the media, the people that work for
the teams newspaper that listen, We're not considering getting rid
of Craig Breslow. They want you to know it, and
they want me to know it, and then they know one.
So the report says ownership has not even discussed a
change of the GM despite having a last place record
(10:16):
in a division which you know, Toronto's not playing all
that well. The Yankees now lost Aaron Judge, they were
playing all right, the Orioles are kind of whatever, and
Tampa Bay playing overall, playing pretty well. So the question
are you buying that Red Sox owner John Henry has
not even considered for a moment sacking the GM in
(10:39):
Boston Craig Breslow. So the answer to this is, come on,
please seriously, like this does not pass the smell test.
It does not even if you don't smell, well, yeah,
it smells like bull crap. It smells like the fridge
is open and the milk is rotten, and you can
(11:00):
smell it. And that's just the way it is. And
the Red Sox they're driving along, drive and drive and
drive it, and they come to the intersection. It's actually
a junction. It's dysfunction junction. How do you function? And
the Red Sox this year have been a malfunction. They
bet on all these young players all and some of
them are hurt. The guys that have played have mostly
(11:21):
been mediocre to below average for the Red Sox. And
the team doesn't just malfunction, that's an understatement. Say well,
they malfunction. It is a full system reboot. At this point,
by the third inning, they need a full system reboot.
And they didn't just all of a sudden arrive here.
The Boston baseball team. It appears they bought property and
(11:44):
they built a gazebo, so they've got that going for themselves.
And they've started hosting cookouts in the sewer. You're not
supposed to have fire, and the sewer like that could
light everything up. And you can be bad. We always
say you can be bad, you can be boring. In
certain towns, you can't both. And in Boston right now,
the Red Sox are not only bad, they're boring. They're
(12:05):
absolutely boring. And you look around, it's like that should
be a felony. The product they put on the field,
the drek the Red Sox have put on the field
is ridiculous, and they have a horrific record at home.
Finway would like to point out we were at the
game they won, so we have not chinked the Red Sox.
Their offense is twenty ninth in run scored. There's only
(12:29):
thirty teams in professional baseball. That doesn't seem good to me.
I know, I'm nitpicking. I know, Oh, you're such a schmuck. Okay,
have they possibly been attacked by an actual monster? Did
Wally the Green Monster come to life and attack them
at some point? Inquiring minds would like to know. Now. Meanwhile,
John Henry, he's getting grilled like a Carls Junior, famous star, charbroiled,
(12:55):
little smoky flavor and a lot of shame. And I
know Ferg Dog loves those those famous stars, those char
broiled famous stars. Can't get enough. And they've already blamed
and fired and buried Alex Cora. They're gonna pay a
lot of money not to manage the Red Sox next year.
So what's left? Well, if you look around the mirror,
(13:17):
mirror on the wall, says the front office, Craig Breslow's
track record is so thin?
Speaker 2 (13:21):
How thin is it?
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Thank you for asking. It's so thin it could literally
slide under the door, that's how thin it is. And
he's relatively new, he hadn't been there that long. And
when the season ends, I will garon f and t you.
John Henry is gonna need a new boogeyman. You gotta
find a boogeyman. And Breslow's resume is essentially a Hey,
I'm the boogeyman. I've got to kick me, sign on it.
(13:45):
That's the way it is, all right, final point to
Canza City. We go, Hansa City, talk some football. The
Chiefs made a late addition, as we are roughly a
month and a couple of weeks away a month in
a week or so from the start of training camp,
and so the Chiefs have signed veteran defensive back Lagerious Sneid.
(14:10):
It's a big name, right there, big name, one year deal,
getting like five million. Oh man, how great would that be.
I'm gonna take the five year, one year, five million
dollar deal. I won the lottery. Yeah, it's a renunion.
If that sounds familiar. If that name sounds familiar, it is.
Kansas City drafted Snead in the fourth round way back
(14:30):
in twenty twenty. I was a little kid. Back in
twenty twenty. There might have been some kind of event
that shut down the world. Drafted them out of Law
Tech and spent four seasons in Kansas City. Lagerious. Sneid
four seasons there, contributing to a couple of Super Bowl
wins part of that secondary. And then in twenty twenty four,
(14:51):
it was time to pay the man, and they said,
we ain't paying the man. We're not gonna pay the man.
Why would he's not the man. We can't pay the man.
You're not the man. They did place the franchise tag
Kansas City did on on Snead and then traded him
to the Music City, to the Tennessee Titans. They got
a third round pick and a pick swap, so they
(15:14):
didn't get much for him, and he didn't do anything
despite a four year, seventy six million dollar contract with
the boys that play in Nashville, and Snead was very
elite when it came to getting hurt. In fact, he
appeared in only twelve games over two seasons in Tennessee.
That does not seem to be good. So the question, now,
(15:36):
let's forget about that, let's focus in on the Chiefs
the return to glory. Kansas City didn't make the playoffs
last year. They've revamped the secondary, They've made a couple
of additions on offense. Is this a return to glory road?
And how big a factor is lagerius sneed going to be?
How big an addition will this guy be for the Chiefs?
(15:59):
So bringing Lageria's back to Kansas City on the Malar
report card? Is it an A no? Is it an
F No? It's a C level nostalgia play. I wrote
a C on the Mallard scorecard. It's a sea level thing,
not a franchise altering move at all. This is not
(16:20):
a splash. It's more like a drip, drippety drip, drip
drip from a leaky faucet. They already had the player.
Now they've got the player back and all that. It's
not like they upgraded the secondary at this point. They
just hit restore previous version and said, we know the guy,
(16:41):
he was good for us, Let's give it a shot.
Why not. We'll give it a shot and we'll see
if it'll work out. And it's the NFL's version of
buying back all of your childhood toys all the stuff
you had as a kid. You want to mer all
the toys back, all of them, even the cabbage patch doll.
You want the whole thing, all right, So keep it
(17:01):
real here, Sneak no longer, no longer a franchise guy,
and he hadn't been that for a couple of seasons
at this point. And the thing about this is that
he has when he's played, he's excelled at jamming receivers,
a pretty big defensive back, and that kind of stuff's
important to Spags, you beloved defensive coordinator in Kansas City. However,
(17:25):
what have you done for me recently? Is the question.
Sneaz's last two years were so quiet? How quiet were they?
They were so quiet you could hear the medical staff
for the Tennessee Titans sigh from inside the injury tent
when he was getting taken inside the injury tent. Playing
only twelve games again, twelve over two years they play.
(17:50):
If you look at the math on this, they play
the seventeen game schedule, so there's a possibility of thirty
four games. He played twelve and in twenty twenty five.
If you go by the numbers, the Nerd numbers, then
Lugerious Sneed was near the bottom in every important stat
for a defensive back. He was among all qualified defensive backs.
(18:13):
He had no interceptions, a high completion passer rating aloud
when targeted. He's also twenty nine. He has a rich
history of knee injuries, quad problems, hip issues, back, the
whole thing, and so he's more than just a cornerback.
He at this point is a walking MRI subscription. It
(18:36):
is the Ben Mahlor Show. If you'd like to be
part eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, we'll take

It's not that big a deal. Eight seven, seven, nine, nine,
six six three sixty nine. The Spurs or Stand Alive,
Stand Alive. They had the parade planned there in New York,
except the Knicks.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
It's alive.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Picks did not win the game on Monday Night, so
the Spurs have a chance to even the books? Will

a World Series? Was it the who? Was it the
Nationals and the one thousand and two one thousand holes?
Wasn't that the World Series with the road team won
every game? I thought, I feel like that happened. They
was not World Series, but there was a road World
(20:52):
Series where the road field advance happened. Is that gonna
happen here in the NBA Finals? Inquiring minds would like
to know we're talking about that and in addition, whatever

member of the Mala militia who then went to the
dreaded day Shift, and I see the name on the board,
so we'll have to include him in the segment. He
was banned from the show. Oh is he banned? Yeah? Okay,
(22:00):
the band ended.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
I don't know. I didn't ban him. I a banned him.
Oh you banned him? Oh I didn't know. Okay, you
banned them. I think you probably forgot about this whole situation.
I don't definitely happened. Okay, Well, this is the band overs.
I have decided to let by Guns be by. I

on the choulders? You don't even know?
Speaker 3 (22:26):

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, okay, time flies were you're heavy. That's that's great.
All right, Well we'll get him on here in a second.
The dramas building. The man who has been given a furlough.
Let's say hello to to weed man, hippie who's in
the leadoff chair, Hello to ask a weed man. Hello,

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Nobody wanted to see the next sweep Nobody wanted to
see that.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Nobody will. I think a lot of New Yorkers wanted
to see that, didn't they.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Well, it's not a good series, no matter what.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
For sleep, Yeah, generally it's not. Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
It's never good to sleep. Let's have let's have a
gentleman sleep, let's have all.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Right, Well, I want you to know we've been the
guy that had stayed on hold to ask you a question,
hung up right before, right before he.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Told he told me what it was beforehand, he said
he wasn't gonna be able to hold that long, okay,
just in case.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
All right, all right, this is now Lucky Tony is
his name. He's one of our favorites. He usually calls
up and says he wants to sleep with a porn star,
and then uh and then too yeah, and says a
bad word and hangs up. That's a normal lucky Tony.
What was his question for Weed.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
He said that he said least said that you are
a great singer, and so he wants you to sing
a little bit of Tom Jones right now on the air,
and then he has had to put some fing heart
into it.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
I beleeped that. I believe that you bleep that boy. Okay,
do you know any Tom Jones songs?
Speaker 2 (24:16):
I saw the lie on the pers by whole window.
I saw the flickering.
Speaker 6 (24:22):
Shadows of love over grinds. I look behm me, I rushed,
awaldy my mind.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
Yeah, oh he's still going. The man's an entertainer. Weed

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Well we're off to a great start. We have questions
for you. King Rory from Wisconsin writs and he wants
to know when's the last time you weighed yourself?
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Not that long ago? I weigh one hundred and sixty downs.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
One hundred and sixty and you have a scale at
your house? You were, but I was.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
In public, so it was scale there, so I weighed myself.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Buying there? All right? Well obviously, I just I know
it's a grocery story. But what kind of food were you?
That's a healthy? Now? Do you remember the guy that
has sent you candy? What's his name?
Speaker 2 (26:16):
Oh? Po, what's his name?
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Didn't we have a bet coop that he would not
remember the name. Yeah, that's not what's his name? That's
definitely not his name. No, you're getting You're getting colder,
You're not getting warmer, keep going.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Oh no, that's all.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
It's his name kind of rhymes with a very popular
food dish in Mexico.
Speaker 6 (26:46):
Oh I don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Come on, tell me, what do you think is a
popular food dish in Mexico? What do you think?
Speaker 6 (26:56):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Life, Yeah, I thought it was. I thought it was.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Parrito, like burrito. You ever had a burrito?
Speaker 2 (27:12):
You had a burrito, you won't care like, Oh my.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
God, ferg dog right since says, hey, weed man, how
did you pass the time in jail? I was bored
out of my mind?
Speaker 2 (27:28):
First, that's the worst.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Yeah, what did you do in there?
Speaker 2 (27:34):
You watch TV? And hopefully you could you could watch
the English CV.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Okay, so yeah, sometimes you were in there and the
boys didn't speak English and they wanted to watch Telemundo
or something.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
You were here sometimes gathered the Spanish and English TV
and you got to make sure you got Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Well, now, to be fair, though, I think sometimes I've

Isn't that the worst possible way to cook fish? In
the microwave? And I correct, I'm sure it's already cooked. Yeah,
it's already cooked, and he's just heating it up. When's
the last time you actually cooked something like on the
stove from scratch?
Speaker 5 (33:30):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (33:30):
I've never done that.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
You've never made a meal from scratch? Really?
Speaker 2 (33:39):
No, I have a food shamp card.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
You got everything. You got your Obama phone, you got
your food stamps card, you got everything. You're possibly.
Speaker 2 (33:52):

Speaker 1 (33:54):
All right, Bozo, the district attorney writes, and he said,

Speaker 1 (34:54):
I do? I like to smell again, Why is it funny?
I like to smell gasoline. You're not supposed to breathe it,
but I like it. I like to smell of tires.
Do you like to smell the tires?
Speaker 2 (35:03):

three career NBA Finals games, he has eighty five points,
ten blocks. The last player to hit each of those
marks over a span of three NBA Finals games in
a single postseason was blank. That's the Insta trivia. The answer.
(36:46):
We'll get to it. We will do it next.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio

Then we get to Mallard of the third degree. Here
is the Insta Tribute question. In his three career NBA
Finals games, Victor Winbanyama has eighty five points and ten blocks.
The last player to get those numbers over the span
(37:45):
of three NBA Finals games and a season was blank
and fir Dog, says Dennis Rodman, Donald Duck, who is
ninety two today from Late Night Drug Tester, Patrick Beverley
from Femi, Rick Flair Whoo from Shane into Mooy to
General from Just Josh, he got it right, Bad job
by him, Kevin Willis from Scrooge, ac Earl from Rob
(38:08):
the goat Man, Big Bird Guess by sir smokes a lot.
What say you, Lorraine up? Timothy Chello?
Speaker 5 (38:13):
May?
Speaker 1 (38:14):
No, this is how long ago this was. I've not
been to an NBA Finals game in a long time.
I was at this. I watched Shaquille O'Neill of the
Lakers back in oh one, and he was the last
guy to put up those stats. Here we go, here,
we go here. Wait, how about that?
Speaker 4 (38:31):
This is one big Ben gets quilled all right?
Speaker 3 (38:35):
Cool aloof Patriots Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel said on Monday
that Drake May knows a hell of a lot more
than he did last year at this time, Ben, do
you expect me to be among the MVB candidates at
the end of the year.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
No, because the Patriots are gonna lose more games, they
play a tougher schedule, and they're not gonna have a
cake walk like they did last year. So he is
not going to be an MVP candidate this year, even
with better players around him.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
Next Steelers said coach Mike McCarthy said this week that
Charles Woods is quote an excellent comparison for how they
can use Jalen Ramsey. Do you think Ramsey can still
have that sort of impact? Not on a weekly basis.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
I think Ramsey will have his moments where occasionally he'll
make a big play for the Steelers. I would be
shocked if he's he's not gonna be an all pro.
I don't think of Ramsey at this point. He's bounced
around a bit now. I don't think he's got too
much left. It would be an occasional highlight where he
makes a play. And McCarthy's got to be optimistic because
he's paid to be optimistic for the Steelers.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Next. In a report on Monday, it was revealed that
there are still plenty of tickets left for Texan to
Jaguars in London and that tickets have not been selling.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Well, Ben, is this a matchup problem or something bigger? Well,
it's they got to get the ex pats. They always
sell as Terry and England, as others have pointed out,
when these games they go to London, they sell the
tickets to ex pats. But yeah, there is a star problem. CJ.
Stroud is the biggest star in the Texans. He's not
even a big star here and Trevor Lawrence is not
evenly a big star here, so why would they be
(39:58):
a big star in you know, in London, in that
in in the UK, there's like really no sense to it.
But you know they'll they will sell the tickets or
they'll give the tickets away and they'll be packed when
they get to London, which is not for many many mouths.
How did we do, coopo you passed? This is they
we put it on the board. When I want a
(40:19):
chicken dinner,
