Speaker 1 (00:00):

ready to go at a story that I continue to
be fascinated by here on the Ben Malers Show podcast
on this Thursday of the ninth day of July.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
We go now to the.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Commonwealth, and oh what a story it is by or Sell,
Buy or Sell that Jalen Brown poisoned his trade market
to the Celtics because of his actions he just refused
to play for certain teams. And where is this coach
prime roller coaster actually headed in Colorado? As Dion Sanders
(00:39):
talking big and Connor McGregor being absolutely roasted for his
penmanship of all things. What are your impressions on that
bizarre story. We'll go all of those places and more
right now, settle in. It's our number four.
Speaker 2 (00:55):

Speaker 1 (03:24):
And is it true? Is it true that Jalen Brown
of the Philadelphia seventy six ers kneecapped Brad Stevens and
the Celtics in terms of trade value?
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah? Did you see this?
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Perhaps not? Perhaps you did not see this. So I'm fascinating.
This is like the worst trade in years. It's not
even a trade. So more on this. We're now hearing
the latest theory. Every day there's a new theory. Every day,
there's a new theory. So we're now hearing that Jalen
Brown was a saboteur. He sabotaged his own trade value.
(04:05):
Some of the reporting here says that he allegedly told
at least one or two teams that he would not
play for them.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
He didn't want to play for them, so.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
That narrowed the market and thus forced the Celtics into
a tougher situation. Now the breathless reporting says that Boston
felt the circle closing. Oh, the drama, the drama orama.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Now we are.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Hearing that one of the teams that Jalen Brown did
not want to play for was at the end of
the Oregon Trail, the Trail Blazers. The Portland Trailblazers were
one of the teams. Brown said ixnay on the Blazers.
A did not want the boom Shaka laca, so he
hornswaggled the Trailblazers. Now that is a good jumping off point.
(04:53):
Let us discuss the question do you buy or sell?
Buy or sell that Jalen Brown poisoned his trademarket to
the Celtics. So my take, I've got treadmill US securities
and exchange commission and drive by and we will combine
(05:15):
all of these things together and we will not go
into vacation mode, no funny business, just straight gaba ghoul
and the babaganoosh. Now to tip off, here to answer
the question buy or sell, I.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Am buying, buying, buying, buying, buying this, I'm buying it.
I am. Jalen Brown did not just tank.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
The trade market, he salted the earth and put up
a no trust passing sign. Now that being said, there
are players all the time that say, hey, I don't
want to play for this team, and they still end
up having to go to that team, and if they
want their money, they report to that team, and that's
how it goes. Damian Lillard is a great example. Lil's
(05:56):
back with the Trailblazers. He wanted to go to Miami,
Blazers sent him to Milwaukee. He showed up. It didn't
really work out that well, but he showed up. So
even without a no trade clause though, I buy that
Jalen Brown was able to manipulate the market, leaving the
Celtics with essentially two options, either you keep the player
(06:21):
or you accept a mediocre return. And Boston they didn't
trade a Finals MVP. They had a yard sale and
then nobody bought the thing. It was like a treadmill.
It's like you put it on an offer up or Craigslist.
Is they pick it up for free, just pick it
up for free. Brown poisoned his own value with what
(06:45):
we with twitch right there, right, He had such enthusiasm
like a guy marinating in his own reputation here. And
the rumors have been festering for a long time that
Jalen Brown was going to get out of Boston, and
he aired his frustrations and said some wackadoodle things. And
(07:06):
it wasn't necessarily any single thing that Jayalen Brown said.
It was just the projection of entitlement and like he
just a high maintenance diva, unwilling to adapt. And so
that part of it I totally get. You know, GM's
look at him and teams are like, well, that's a
lot of money he's you know, he was a pretty
(07:28):
good player, But do we need to hire a babysitter
for a guy that's on a max like a.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Super max contract. And it seemed very, very bitter.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
So it was definitely not a bidding war, and Boston
ends up Brad Stevens getting a fire sale. So just
for the record, though, this is three days in a
row that we have gotten a different version of why
the Celtics did the thing.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
You can't do it at the time you can't do it.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
A couple of days ago, it was optionality for Brad Stevens.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
That didn't work.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
And then they came back the next day and said, well,
it turns out that Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum are
at loggerheads. That's why now today or this last twenty
four hour news cycle, it's Jalen Brown. He put Cyanide
on the trade market, and so nobody really wanted him,
and tomorrow it is going to be Jalen Brown does
(08:27):
not like to eat spaghetti and meatballs. Therefore the teams
were afraid of adding him to the roster.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I believe, so all right.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Furthermore, we go to college football coach Pram Dion Sanders,
good name, not such a good coach. Dion Sanders making
a very confident statement at Big twelve media days. Dion
has declared that Colorado football has already turned the corner.
(08:57):
I know you're very worried about the Colorado Buffaloes. Leon
Sanders said, it's already turned. This quote, it's already turned.
You just ain't seen the fruit. Dion said, It's already there.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
He posted.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Dion followed that quote up with another quote talking about
the high expectations for the coming year, and he said, quote,
we better win. Dion said, that's the surprise. Coach Prime
quoted as saying, we're going to win. I love what
I got, I love what I see close quote all right,
(09:31):
So the question where is this Coach Prime roller coaster
actually headed in Colorado?
Speaker 2 (09:38):
So we've got several more loop de loops. Keep in
mind that we are now at the point of the calendar.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
It is pep rally season in college football, the annual
festival of spin and smiles and championship and Cavard dreams
and media days are the And I used to go
to these things all the time, back in the old days,
and it was I needed to take a shower with
all the bull crap I was hearing. But media days
(10:06):
are the convention of optimism and hype.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
They are.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
It's a football's version of campaign season. And you know,
every election now this is the.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Most important election of our.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Life until the next one. It's all the same booker,
same thing in college football. Right, college football's campaign season.
Everyone's promising trophies and nobody's talking about But I think
we got a chance to go six and six this year.
I think we really have a good chance. If everything
goes right, we'll go six and six. As long as
we beat up the tomato cans at the beginning of
the year, will be good. Every quarterback is making great progress,
(10:38):
looks wonderful. Every coach talks about how excited they are
to coach their team, the culture of their program. It's
all the same stuff. It's all the same stuff, prepackaged.
Coach Prime will be coming round the mountain when he
comes selling stock in a team that hasn't played.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
A down, which is all these things now. Honestly, if Dion.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Sold stock in Colorado Buffalo football, the US Securities and
Exchange Commission would regulate it as a mean coin.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
You feel me on that, yeky you do, Okay.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Prime's heype machine. Undefeated the football team? What they go
three to nine?
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Last year?
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Dion in Colorado has a four to thirty winning percentage.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Do I need to say that's not good enough? Do better?
Be better?
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Obviously, at some point the sunglasses need to come with
some wins, and you kind of need that.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
So you take all of this with a.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Little pinch, just a little little pinch of salt, just
a little pinch, all right, now, Last thing to the
sports memorabilia world.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
We go and several of my homies sent me this clip.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
I will describe it for Stevie Meatball's Inca Terror and
the other celebrity blind listeners to the show. So UFC
star Connor McGregor has gone viral for sports memorabilia, what
kind of There's a clip that has made the rounds
here of him signing autographs and it's not the greatest,
(12:17):
not the greatest.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Look the quality not so good.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
The matrix having a field day with this, and the
algorithm picked it up and.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
It's like, oh my god, that is crap. What are
we watching? What is this?
Speaker 1 (12:33):
So I'll describe it like this McGregor is looking away
and then he just kind of gives a quick scribble
with no effort.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Now, I don't know the whole backstory in this.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
I look like a professional signing where the athlete gets
paid a s load of money, and conventional wisdom says
he was paid to sign a bunch of autographs. He
didn't really want to do it. Obviously, he did it
for the check. That's what it looked like based on
the eyeball test. Now, the question Connor McGregor being absolutely
(13:08):
roasted like a marshmallow for his penmanship. What are your
impressions on this? So I used to be in that racket,
the sports memor of Billia racket.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
That was one of the first gigs I had when
I was in high school. This is to go around
and get.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Autographs and i'd sell them to well, actually got hired.
I didn't technically sell him. There was a dude that
paid me some cash to get autographs, and then if
i'd get autographs.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Of certain people, I could sell them.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
I get the money that he promised me and all
that stuff, and then he'd sell it for more money.
And that's kind of the way that worked back years ago.
So the Connor Gregor to answer the question what are
your impressions? Mcgretor's autograph looks like he signed it while
thinking about himself and how great he is, which is
(13:56):
just like how we always is. It's the absolute team
O version of a signature. It's super lazy. There's not
a lot of effort there. It's a glorified squiggle, is
what it is. If you don't want to sign autographs,
here's a thought nobody else has this take. Just abstain,
Just don't you don't get the money, just don't do it.
(14:20):
That's your brand, that's your product. That's people gonna who
are for some reason super fans of yours are gonna
pay money for that. I don't know anyone who's gonna
pay money for these autographs. It was so bad. How
bad was it? It was so bad that even the
sharpie cringed. It was that bad. It's a complete and
total insult to the art of penmanship.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
These autographs by Connor McGregor.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
The marker didn't run out of ink, mind you. McGregor
just ran out of effort.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
He just did. If only he put the effort in
like he.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Did on that famous HBO I think it was HBO
when he went around with Floyd Mayweather and they were
doing a promotion for that Fugayzy fight that they had
years ago, and it was great.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
McGregor was amazing. I laughed every night.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
We couldn't believe how great entertaining McGregor was because he
put effort into it. He was trying to get people
to pay money this He's like, you know, sign these autographs.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
I'm not really into it. I'm not really into.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
It, you know.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Just again, don't insult people.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
It was a drive by autograph, you know, and to
people that supposedly care. And if I repeat, if you're
paying for that, you're a Mama Luke.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Right, you're Mama Luke.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
And it's it's a diva move from a guy who
couldn't be bothered Connor McGregor to spend an extra half
second making something legible.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
It's just a pathetic, half hearted just a little scribble
is all that is.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
And that shows you what he thinks of the people
that are in that world. My belief is always, I mean,
you're going to do something, you know, put your heart
and soul into it, you.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Know, just do it right, Just do it right. Is
that Oh you're such a boomer Mallor, what are you
talking about?
Speaker 1 (16:04):
The way you do it is half ass, you do
it lazy, You cut corners.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
That's the way you do it. Well, no, you're not.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
I'm supposed to that's the way you do Okay, that's
apparently the way you do it.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
It is the Ben Mallor Show.
Speaker 1 (16:19):

Speaker 1 (16:39):
A lot of hot talk about sprinkles from from Last Hour.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
There you go are anyway?
Speaker 1 (16:45):
We will press on the people sending their favorite moments.
We had to ask man Last Hour people sending their
favorite moments of the show. For example, super Markeut Steve says,
the funniest was when you and Eddie got in a
bad argument and you.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Just left here for like forty five seconds and left
Eddie saying, Ben, Ben, are you there?
Speaker 4 (17:04):
Ben?
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Are you gonna talk?
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Ben?
Speaker 2 (17:06):
You got that?
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Man, No, there was an issue supermarket.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Steve misremembers the situation. There was something else going on,
which did it did appear that there.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Was something There was an issue, but it was something
technical that this happened, sure at that particular time. But
I did work with the great Karen Ka way before Eddie,
and I love Karen and she's out of radio, she's retired,
Nash lives in Tennessee. But Karen would get upset. She
loved the chargers and I would take shots at the
chargers and she would literally not talk for like forty
(17:42):
five minutes, and she was the person I did the
show with and she would just not talkak what happened.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Well, you took a shot at Philip Rivers. Okay, you
took a shot at Drew Brees even before. Okay, you
know that was a long time ago.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Anyway, it is the Ben Mallard Show again, eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 2 (18:00):

Kinds of records for downloads during the summer the Malor Palooza.

He's going to be part of this. Dorko, the comedian,

It is amazing.

Part of it.

If you can't spell mallar plusa on ex at Ben Maler.
That's at Ben Maler. If you want to be part
of the program right now at Ben that's ai. I'm
professional Lorena. You can say lo to her. And she's
admitted she's guilty of putting her feet.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
On the dashboard. I do it. She's an evil lady.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Although I pointed out on the podcast the fifth hour,
when I was asked that by our friend alf, I
pointed out that I feel like it's mostly women, mostly women.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
That do that. I do feel that.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
So anyway, all right, oh coople, little all Bronco fan.
That's a Bronco fan. That's a Bronco fan. And back
to it we go, and.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Well this is this is not a good sign. A
radio buddy of mine, Big Morning Guy, says he just
text me, are you on right now? Yes? I am.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
It might be a problem with their automation, Lorainey, you
think there might be a problem with that radio station's automation?
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Possibly? Probably, Yeah, you get that checked out.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, A lot of these stations are automated overnight, and
so if something goes wrong, the thing of a jig
doesn't work, the do Hickey's not right. All of a sudden,
you're you're in some trouble. There, you're in some trouble.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
That's the case. Let's go to the phones.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Let's say hello eeny Meanie mighty Moe. Let's say hello
to two percent Chance in Laubema, Hello, two percent Chance.
Speaker 6 (21:38):
What's up? Man? I got a couple of things up.
First of all, you're my new favorite radio show. I
love your show. I'd like to be sworn in, but
I don't want to do it if you think I'm
just a mediocre caller. I know my calls aren't the
greatest sometimes, and I think the problem is that. One
of the reasons why is I work from six am
till six pm. I get off, we eat dinner, and
(22:01):
then I stay up and listen to your show. And
I'm struggling. You know, when I work out doors, I
own my own window clean business. Sorts of struggle.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Wonder you're you're an independent person. You're an independent person.
So have you heard some other colors on this show? Chance? Yeah,
the bar is pretty low. If you can't clearly, I mean,
if you have a pulse, you're doing pretty good. Uh yeah,
you're in there.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
We had hollering, we had hollering James call up earlier,
and that went all over the place. James announced the
only showers every other day and he doesn't. The people
he lives with don't shower at all. That was that
was fascinating. I can swear you in now if you
want to wait a little while long are you going
to be in the Mallet Palooza.
Speaker 6 (22:53):
I'm not exactly sure what that is how it works?
Speaker 1 (22:57):
All right, well, I guess we clearly we have it.
We haven't been promoting enough. We have not been promoting enough.
We must promoted more. We clearly have not done a
good job of promotion. The Mallard Palooza is think of
it like an old school variety show. There's mostly songs,
song parodies, jokes, impersonations. We had the Boston Burper, one
(23:19):
of the great acts, the guy that squeals.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Like a pig and did that. We've had some really
good people on the on the Mallet plut. It's like
an audio talent show exactly.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
The issue is like if you're doing like carrot top
stuff where you've got props that doesn't work. You can't
use props because it's radio, so that's it. But you
didn't call about that chance? Do you you want to
do the oath? You want to hot take?
Speaker 2 (23:43):
What do you got?
Speaker 6 (23:44):
Let me do this take and you tell me it's
probably takes. It's just a story. So last time I
played that game, more or less or whatever, I sucked
at I was terrible. Anyways, Uh, I sit in my
car right and I would way out in the country
and the sticks in Alabama. And I was sitting in
my car because my mother, she's disabled. She's moved in
(24:07):
with me temporarily, and my kids aren't here at the moment.
There they're your mom.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
Anyways, Like how many how.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Many kids are you? How many kids you got? How
many kids?
Speaker 6 (24:16):
I have two kids. I have a son who is
seventeen and a daughter who is twelve.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Okay, that's cool, very cool. All right, So you got
you're doing a good job. You're taking care of your mom.
That's what you're supposed to do. Your good son, Good
job by you are.
Speaker 6 (24:30):
She got hurt and moved in. I'm taking care of her. Anyways.
I thought I scraped my leg against something last night,
but come to find out today this well, I guess
would have been yesterday afternoon. I looked down on my
leg and I'm starting to like it's starting to feel heavy.
I'm starting to feel feverish and it's turning like black
(24:51):
and blue. And I go to the doctor because I've
definitely running a fever. I'm having other symptoms that have
to do with the stomach flu. And she says, you
probably got bit by a brown recluse because she put
a right up to it. She could see the little
bite mark and it was starting to get infected. She's
and she put me on a very high prescription. So
(25:12):
I got bit by a poisonous spider after failing and
sucking at your game show last night, and it's killing me, man,
it's killing me.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Gave they gave you some antibiotics, is all right, So
some antibiotics And doctor said, uh, you're gonna be on that?
Speaker 2 (25:31):
How long?
Speaker 1 (25:32):
I've never been bitten by a spider like that? So
how long do you have to be taking the meds?
Speaker 2 (25:38):
What are we looking at?
Speaker 6 (25:40):
It's like a two week supply. I have to keep
it really clean, which I have been, because it can
turn into a really bad staff infect So the first
time I've gotten bit by anything poisonous. But one of
the story is maybe not sit out in the car
when I'm talking to you, stay in doors because I,
like I said, I.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
What kind of what kind of critters we got in Alabama?
I mean here, wait a minute, here are you just sitting.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
In your car and you get bitten by a poisonous spider?
Speaker 2 (26:05):
What the hell? Man?
Speaker 6 (26:07):
Well, we got war moccasins, we got uh a few
other poisonous snakes, black widows, like I said, brown, who's
a few other things. But yeah, that's the man I
want to be. I want to be sworn in. I think,
all right, all right, well.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
We'll swear you. We'll swear you in right now. Why not?
Here we go. This is always a special moment in
person's life when they're sworn in, and you're the.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Great thing about this, He's gonna upset, hollering James because
James wanted to be sworn in. Instead he started singing along,
which was great with his pill song, which is was
just absolutely wonderful. So this is two percent chance. Are
you prepared mentally and physically? Your life changes.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
When you're throwing you're sworn into the malin militia. Are
you prepared?
Speaker 5 (26:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (26:54):
I just repeat after you? How does it work?
Speaker 5 (26:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Just you repeat after me. It's very simple, all right.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
I can handle.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
And this goes out to the late great Skeeter. Skeeter
listens every night from across the Pearly Gates. There we
love Skeeter in Montana. He it was a very nice man.
And he said, Mallard, I want to be sworn into
the Malleur Militia. I said, well, there's nothing, no way
to be sworn in, but I want to be sworn in.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Okay, we'll do it. Why not? Here we go, chance,
repeat after me. Are you ready?
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Are you ready?
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Yes, I'm ready? All right, I state your name. I chance,
all right, do solemnly.
Speaker 6 (27:27):
Swear, ohance, do solemnly swear.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
That I will support and defend the Ben Mallor Show.
Speaker 6 (27:35):
I will support and defend the Ben Mallard.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Show against all enemies, against all enemies foreign and domestic,
born in domestic.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
And that I will obey the orders, and.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
I will obey and I will obey the orders.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
To peacefully fight back, to peacefully fight back. Is that
we said, yes, yes, yes, Here we go against hostile
attacks from rival sports, gas bags and blowheards.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
You can do it, all right. Let me repeat that
one more time again you. You got the peacefully back against.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Hostile attacks from rival sports, gas bags and blowheards.
Speaker 6 (28:21):
Against hostile attacks against gas bags, and a few other
things you've said. I'm sorry, man, all.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Right, I don't think we can complete the oath one
more time. I don't think you're ready for the oath.
I feel like you're not prepared.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
I mean, we've I don't know, Loraina, what do you think?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
One more chance? No, I think he needs to try.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
Listen, they gave me steroids. Shots, man, they gave me a.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
Right, it's.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Alright, coop your thoughts, all right, all right, one more chance,
one more chance, all right.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
One more chance. Here we go. This is just a
final line, all right, all right if youre we go
fight back against hostile attacks, fight.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
Back against hostyle.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Attacks from rival sports, gas bags and blowheards.
Speaker 6 (29:14):
Rival sports and oh god, all right, okay.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
All right, all right, chance, all right, thank you. You've
just wasted five minutes of my life. Thank you so much.
That's it's not easy. People think this is easy, taking
the oath.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
It's this job is not that easy. It's not.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
And I even have you know, we have the Mallard
Militia Pledge of allegiance.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
By the way, I'm ran from Vancouver.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Years ago came up with the Mallard Militia Pledge of Allegiance.
That's a whole different animal.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
I don't I don't recall that. You don't remember that.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
I pledge allegiance to the the letters missing uh sign
of Fox Sports Radio and the debauchery for which it
stands one militia under God, pretty divide with liberty and justice.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
When the Astros fall, it was like twenty nineteen. It's
not that I didn't say it was good, Coop. I
just said I don't remember that at all. That's crazy. Yeah, yeah, No.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
We have the we have the pleasure of allegiance. We've
got the mallord oath, we have the Malard Militia motto.
We have a lot of things, a lot of things
that we have. We have other callers too. Let's say
hello to.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Eenie meany mighty mo. Let's see, let's say hello to
Rick in Maryland morning time, Rick in Maryland morning time.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
And look at it, and they say steroids work. But anyway,
look at it.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
I thought steroids were supposed to enhance your performance.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
I'm talking about it. But anyway, hey, look at it. Yeah,
one of those shows, you know how Eddie Edmund would
get in his moves sometime, and it was a show
when Marcel was on. You know, he's talking about this
miss Matt food picks or something. Yes, yes, yes, edmunds,
I really had to go through this? Do I really
(31:03):
have to do this? You know? Well?
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Yeah, well that was all Eddie. We love Eddie.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
But Eddie would always get annoyed by the entertainment elements
on the show. He did not did not enjoy the
entertainment aspects of the show very much, which was always
fun because we'd make him do that and it would
annoy him because he just wanted to do the sports stuff.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
And god knows, nobody wants.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
To listen to a sports show for the sports, So
you got to have the other stuff, right, you need
the other stuff.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
He used to kill me because he was always just
interested when I called talk about the dagg Own Nationals,
talk about me.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Oh yeah, you know yeah, And I love that. I mean,
if you really wanted to help Eddie out, you just
talk about.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
The Pittsburgh Steelers and you talk anything about hockey.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
He'd be good with Chargers.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
Hey, look, Larina, you know back when I was like
eight or nine, I was a cub Scout and we
love brownies. You get it?
Speaker 1 (31:59):
I remember, Well, there you are, the great Rick and Maryland.
There fan favorite Poppy is in San Diego.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Hello Poppy, welcome.
Speaker 7 (32:13):
Oh man, we're right here for the World Cup picks.
People want to know those World Cup picks, and we
got Coop.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Do you want to know his picks for the World Cup? Coop?
Are you? Are you shaking? He's shaking?
Speaker 1 (32:25):
He said, no, Lorena, World Cup picks from Poppy? Does
this interest you at all? Well, the other day when
Noah was filling in, Poppy actually got all of his
picks right.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
And he made some money for some people who did
his thing. So you know what, Well, I don't think
he did. I'll tell you why. Because most people bet
against Poppy.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
They don't bet with Poppy, so we actually cost people
a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Yeah. No, anyways, I'm not against it. I feel like
we're wasting time. Just give the damn picks. That's what
thank you.
Speaker 7 (32:54):
I feel like earlier we waited five minutes.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
But I digress.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Here are you talking about? I got a two percent?
Speaker 7 (33:00):
We got we got, we got France and Morocco. That
game is going to be a good one, and that's
going to be at one o'clock. The Leprechaun shout out
to the Leprechaun is going to be there. And on
this one, I'm taking a France where with MAPI a
bonus pick. MAPI will score a goal. He's the leading scorer.
He wants to get the boot, top leading candidates to
(33:22):
get the gold golden Who are you talking about, Mape
Mape Mope, Yeah, Mape, So I got a bonus.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Just go, just go with the group by by You're
so you're picking France. Who is I believe on DraftKings
Sportsbook minus four hundred.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Is that accurate? I believe I'm accurate on that minus
four hundred.
Speaker 7 (33:48):
Yeah, oh, that's that's fine. We'll take minus far four
hundred and we'll put uh a bonus over two point
five goals. We're taking that.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Yeah, all right, let's see, so minus four hundred implies
let's see here, minus four hundred that implies there's an
eighty percent chance that France wins. So it's a bold pick.
That's a hot pick. All right, that's it. There's only
one game that's all poppy, right, that's it.
Speaker 7 (34:16):
There's only one game, and as you want to break
down the game.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
No, we're good. We're good. Go get your mappy and
clean the floor. Okay, they all right.

him of doing all the stuff?
Speaker 2 (34:47):
I don't think anything came of that.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
But the he was cited for speeding in Florida, So
is that really a big deal. I feel like everyone
drives over the speed limit and you know they're not
jubbing exactly the speed limit. But he got busted in Florida,
like seventy and forty. We've got fact or fiction. We'll
