Ben Johnson setting a bullseye Coach Ben Johnson on the
Bears his own team, saying that his goal is to
(00:41):
become the highest scoring offense in NFL history this season,
good luck? And can you decode the meaning of the
Steelers airon Rogers saying there has to be an invite
back to Green Bay for him to return to lambeau Field.
And how would you character a Jalen Hurtz practice interception
(01:02):
starting an Eagles hulla ballue all because of a video
of Jalen Hurts throwing an interception that actually happened. We'll
talk about all that and more right now here we go.
It is our number four, Go Big or Go Home.
(01:26):

As we are back at it, much to the dismay
of Mojoe rising in the Bay and Danny and Nashville
and all those guys, as we are cruising, cruising along
(03:18):
here now early in the morning, so we've gone it's
overnight still for some, but it's early in the morning.
People getting the jump on the traffic. So our lead
this hour from sweet Home Chicago, Coole Legends, there tree
in Chicago. You fomi there Big Bears backers and the
Chicago Bears filling up the content, Kitty. We'd like to
thank the Chicago Bears for providing us with good cannon
(03:42):
fodder for the Malard monologue. Dateline Windy City, where the
Bears head coach Ben Johnson talking the talk. All guys
named Ben have to talk to talk. It's part of
the deal. If your name Ben, you have to talk
to talk. So Ben Johnson is aiming for the heavens,
aiming for the heavens. He wants to be good, but
(04:03):
not just good, right. They don't want to just win
the Super Bowl. That's boring. He don't want to just
win the Super Bowl. No, no, no, you see what he said. No,
he said, Ben Johnson, I thought this was fake when
I first saw this hit. Apparently not. He wants the
Chicago football team to have the highest scoring offense in
(04:25):
NFL history. Say why Yeah? Johnson put a bulls eye
on the twenty thirteen Peyton Manning Broncos from back in
the day. Average that Bronco team, My computer like brain
tells me thirty seven point nine points per game over
a sixteen game regular season, thirty seven point nine points
(04:48):
per game. And I thought it was like the greatest
show on turf. But it was the Broncos. I guess
they broke the Rams record back of the day. But anyway,
the point is Ben Johnson says, that's the goal. He said,
he knows that that's the number he wants. He wants
to spacity. He says, I want shutouts. I want blowouts,
he said, And he dismissed the standard protocol. The normal
(05:10):
protocol is we want to win a championship, and he
pointed out that that is not sufficient Ben Johnson. He
noted that the thirty one other members of the cartel
also are talking about winning a Super Bowl, and he says,
I want more than that, all right, close quote. Of course,
(05:30):
we know that there are certain teams that are not
planning on winning a Super Bowl. The Arizona Cardinals, the Jets,
the Cleveland Browns. Their dream is to win the number
one overall pick in the draft, and therefore they will
end up They do end up with that number one pick,
most likely Arch Manning, and then we'll slow a lot
of jerseys to dumb people and that'll be good. All right.
(05:52):
So that is a solid jumping off point. Let's discuss
the question where are you at on head coach Ben
jons Johnson, show me you're Johnson. Where are you at? On?
Ben Johnson setting a bullseye on the Bears becoming the
highest scoring offense in NFL history, saying this is what
we want, Uh, this is what wants. So I've got
(06:14):
Burger King, vision, Quest and ecosystem, and we'll combine all
of these things together and we will give you the
number four jingle is that's live from the Raine Theater
in Sherman Oaks, California. Right there, Ben tol the boulevard.
And this weekend one appearance only is a long trip.
(06:37):
She'll be appearing in Tallahassee, Florida. All right, so our
lead this hour. To kick off the hour, Ben Johnson
is talking like the Bears found the NFL cheat code,
like they found how the Astros use trash cans, Babe
bye or whistles whistle whistle, whistle bt uh. He's out.
(07:00):
The Bears are gonna go out and hang fifty points
every Sunday against the Vikings, the Packers, the Lions and me,
oh my, and I assume for that to happen, Caleb
Williams is going to have to get a Wiji board
and channel the ghost of Rush Limbaugh who used to
work out of this studio that we're in right now,
and keep half his brain Caleb Williams tied behind his back.
(07:21):
Just to make it fair, megadiddos, this is I love it.
It's a burger king combo meal of coaching. Bravado. It
is the whopper, not the whopper, Junior, It's the whopper.
And let's do some maler math. You want to do
some mal of maths, So let's suit malam. This is
back of the napkin mala math. So the Bears average
last year twenty five point seven points per game. That's
(07:43):
not bad. In fact, is it true that the Chicago
Bears were a top ten offense? Yes, barely. They were
number nine. They were number nine. Ben Johnson is now
fantasizing about the record, which just to tie the Broncos
Peyton Manning record would be thirty seven point nine. So
back of the napkin math mack to go from twenty
(08:04):
five point seven points. I know it's radio and you're
not paying attention, you're listening with half in here. Just
bear with me. So twenty five point seven points to
thirty seven point nine. That is a forty seven point
four percent increase year to year. And that's just a
time forty seven point four percent increase year to year
to time. So it's always good to announce that you're
(08:28):
going to have historic blowouts in August. That's a choice.
That is a choice. The football gods are pretty petty.
They've been known to be vindictive creatures. They certainly have
over the years, and Ben Johnson poking them like he's
(08:50):
tickling the tail on a monster, a fire breathing dragon.
In this case, though, Ben Johnson said, you know, I
see the football gods and they're out there for some reason,
they're on the field. So I'm gonna take my cattle
proud and I'm going to give them a little cattle
production right there. Why not keep in mind the Bears,
this is always the problem with cold weather teams, and
(09:10):
I realized the Broncos were able to do it, and
they play cold weather games in Denver. However, generally speaking,
and we see this with Buffalo all the time. They
get out of the gates, usually pretty good, good offensive team,
and then it gets progressively harder to score a lot
of points when you get late in the year when
the weather turns nasty. In the NFL, So the Bears,
I looked it up. They have not one, not two,
(09:31):
but three games that are going to be played in
a frozen meat locker. Couple of games at Soldier Field.
They also have a December if you look at December
January schedule, they have three games, two at Soldier Field.
They also have a trip to Western New York to Buffalo,
so that's three outdoor cold weather games December January, and
(09:52):
just in general, it was the President Teddy Roosevelt who
said speak softly and carry a big stick. Ben Johnson
must have been listening with half an ear and he said, listen,
you grab a megaphone and you'll whack the hornet's nest.
That's what you do. Now, this is spectacular five star
content for the struggling gas bags and blowhards that we
(10:15):
are here on the radio. And I cannot wait for
that December game against Buffalo when they score seventeen points
in a lake effect blizzard. Ill and everyone will bring
these quotes up from Ben Jonson, or even if they
get off to a slow star theye has a clunker
the first month of the year, there's usually one clunker
in there, and so just clip and save it and
(10:37):
then everyone will play it and laugh and point their
finger and say haha, like Nelson from the Simpsons. Now,
furthermore to mister Rogers neighborhood, our obligatory Mallard monologue mentioned
on air, and Rogers, so the Steelers and Packers are
getting together for a little match up here. They're gonna
(10:59):
wrestle or in the preseason. Now, Rogers said he was
one hundred percent hoping the Steelers preseason matchup with Green
Bay would be played at Lambou Field with a gift
shop the size of Costco, and Rogers said, give you
know he wanted to go there and give him a
chance to return to his longtime hometown. Why not hometown,
(11:23):
but his NFL hometown there in green Bay. That is
not the case. Rogers waxed loquacious about Green Bay, and
I was like, wow, I've been to Green Bay and
I don't remember that many cool things about it. But
he was very happy about it. Rogers has said that
is it. This is the swan song, This is the
(11:44):
last dance. Nana Nana nananana, goodbye, It's all over that.
This is it. The twenty twenty six NFL season will
be his last. He has been very vague about the
the eventual ceremonial return to Green Bay where they trot
(12:04):
you out and everyone kisses your ass at the fifty
yard line and talk about you like your some kind
of deity. Rogers has not commented on that he did well,
He hasn't said yes to it. He said, quote, there
first has to be an invite back. We'll see about that.
He said, there has to be an invite back. Now that, kids,
(12:26):
is what we call the money quote. That is the
money quote. So here's the question. We're to frame it
this way. Can you decode the meaning of Steelers quarterback
Aaron Rogers saying there has to be an invite back
when asked about returning to Green Bay for the sappy
ceremonial bull crap that you get when you retire. Most
(12:50):
people don't get that, all right, So Rogers, the way
he said this, he essentially put himself in a shrink's office,
on the fainting couch, if you will, the psychiatrist couch,
and all the nostalgic psycho babble about Lamball Field and
(13:17):
his favorite restaurant and all that. He was just itemizing
the emotional damage. All right, that's it. So we'd like
to present doctor Maller, not a trained doctor, but I
play one on the radio, your favorite radio shrink. Whatever
happened to doctor Laura when I first started at Fox
Sports Radio. Doctor Laura was probably don't know who that is,
(13:39):
but she was a big star on radio. She did
a daytime talk show, or she yelled at women and
told them they're idiots and men too, but mostly when
she's still around. Anyway, I just thought of her name
just randomly popped in my head. That's a non sequitor
back to it, though, So as doctor Maller, I will
be the doctor Laura on the show, be doctor Amount.
(14:01):
So the diagnosis of the problem here, unresolved breakup trauma.
Unresolved break up trauma. A ubt, a ubt. The Packers decide,
here's my analysis. Tell me if I'm wrong on this.
The Packers decided that they had already consumed their lifetime
(14:22):
supply of passive aggressive bull crap, and they went out.
They hired locksmith, they changed the locks and they chose
a younger lover in Jordan Love. See what he did there?
And the tell on this, all right, you gotta listen
between the words. The tell was Rogers insisting that there
must be an invite back. That wasn't a Freudian slip,
(14:48):
that was a Freudian ayahuasca vision. Quest is what that was?
From Aaron Rodgers translation, Hey go talk to them, dummy.
They dumped me, the dumb me, so they better come
crawling back and kiss my left cheek and my right
treek and not on my face. Yeah, it sounded like
(15:11):
a guy checking his ex's Instagram at two in the
morning while insisting he's completely over. Everything's good, nothing to
see here, And green Bay initiated this divorce. I think
it's pretty clear that Rogers he was a bit of
a douche. He was trying to figure things out there.
He thought he had more power than he did, and
(15:33):
he thought he had some issues with the coaching staff,
and so he thought he could make some changes. It
didn't work out, obviously, and Green Bay initiated this football divorce.
And Rogers he never forgot who filed the paperwork. And
beneath all the sentimentality, there's there still appears to be
this a little bit of a well actually not a little,
(15:56):
this psychological scar tissue from in the boot and thinking
you had more power than you did. And Rogers doesn't
want closure. He would like a nice parade, He would
like a hug, He would like to have a bouquet
of flowers. He would like his toes licked, and a
(16:16):
notarized apology from the front office of the green Bay
Packers and owners. Of course, there's no ownership. The fans
on the team, but do you know what I mean?
All right last thing. Dafella Delphia we Go a classic
NFL training camp story. Outrage in the Delaware Valley sparked
(16:36):
by a post on social media the phillip Delphia Eagles.
Now they posted on the official social media accounts here
the training camp video showing quarterback Jalen Hurts throwing in
I n T interception. They showed they released a video
(17:00):
of their quarterback, there forever quarterback throwing an interception, and that,
of course prompted what panic at the disco? Oh no,
you can't do that. You're trying to embarrass your quarterback,
Jalen Hurts. What's wrong with you? You losers? Of course,
(17:22):
this comes after Hurts pushed back against attempts to reimagine
the offense there in Philadelphia toversify igus is the big
buzzword that they used, and they supposedly wanted him to
take more snaps under center. The Eagles leaked a lot
of this stuff to the media to try to put
pressure on Jalen Hurts. And so here we are at
(17:45):
a fork in the road. That's right, A routine, routine
training camp interception becomes a highly combustible situation because it
landed amid reports of friction with Jalen Hurts in his
situation in the offense there in Philadelphia. So the question,
(18:06):
how would you characterize a Jalen Hurts practice interception starting
a starting an Eagles hullabaloo? It's clearly an Eagles hullabaloo.
So this shows how ridiculous state sponsored media in the
NFL has become. I've talked about this a few times
(18:26):
earl years, many many years ago. I will date myself
if I say when, but an executive who worked for
a Major League Baseball team told me that this is
when Major League Baseball started their website. It was like revolutionary.
You know, the Internet was still relatively new, and I
was like, wow, they had their own reporters covering games.
And then guys like, listen, back then, people actually read
(18:47):
these things called newspapers. You can just google what that is.
A lot of people don't even know what that is anymore.
There were relevant newspapers back in the day, though, they
had a lot of power. And this executive told me,
he said, listen, you know, we are going to do this.
And initially Baseball got ripped for having their own website.
People and they said, wow, that's you know, you're not.
(19:08):
You're obviously biased. We want our coverage to be unbiased.
And the executives explained to me, and I'm paraphrased most
of this, and he said, listen, we're going to do
this and eventually, you know, people are going to grow
up with this and this is going to be all
they know. They're going to go to us for the story. Right,
We're gonna go to They're going to go to us
to find out what's going on. And he you know what,
(19:31):
one hundred percent correct, time has passed, generations have grown up,
and now here we are, uh, you know, here we are.
So this shows how ridiculous state sponsored media is in
the NFL. And it's too late. It's you know, the
people that are flum mixed right now because the Eagles
(19:51):
social media account committed the unforgivable sin, a war crime
of posting reality. How dare you right? This is not
even about the interception. The interception is like the symptom.
It's about the ecosystem of the brainwashed fan, the conditioned
(20:14):
fan that grew up with this crap, and that's all
they know, and that's all they like. They expect the
fan that grew up with state sponsored media in sports
expects only curated positivity from team media, and for at
least a generation, fans have been spoon fed lollipops. You
get a lollipop and look there's a rainbow.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Look at the rainbow, and there's a puppy dog. Oh,
look at the cute puppy dog. Everything has been sanitized,
everything has been filtered. It's team propaganda. Quarterback one looks amazing.
Who cares if you through seven interceptions?
Speaker 1 (20:50):
We're not gonna talk about that. Don't talk about that.
At everyone's in the best shape of their life. That's right.
Every coach makes all the right to decisions, and we
are on the express train to the Super Bowl. Cheo. Yeah,
that's what you get from state sponsored me, the NFL,
Major League Baseball, NBA hockey. They all do it. They
(21:12):
all do it. And then someone accidentally accidentally posts an
interception and suddenly alarm bell starts sounding wooooooooo. You get
out to Zabruta film a training camp, and the reaction,
this reaction is validation and verification of that particular point
(21:38):
when propaganda becomes the norm. Reality feels like an attack.
Oh we're being good tech Chalen hurts us being good tech.
So if you're feeling like this, I recommend just stay calm,
take a deep breath, breathe. I recommend a cup of water,
hydrate electrolytes like Tom Brady and touch some go out
(22:00):
there and touch them grass. When this is the norm
and it is, it's just crazy. It's like, oh my god,
we're being attacked. I can't believe, Like, do I believe
that Howie Roseman himself descended from the executive suite stroking
a white cat and ordered release the Hurts interception. It
is much more plausible to think that something far less sinative,
(22:25):
sinister happened, like, for example, uh, some low level content
specialist fresh out of college, likely eating orange chicken at
a Panda Express right now, updating their resume, click the
wrong button. They're right near the soda machine by the way,
Panda and they're having they're having the chow maine, not
(22:48):
the rice, the chow main, not the rice. And they're
right now on Express pros and they're saying, all right,
let me let me look here what jobs are open.
They've just discovered that it is a temporary position. Right
when you're the Eagles social media manager. Oh the humanity.
(23:08):

up early going to job, or you've been up all

then you hear something that well, I'll just say it.
I'm gonna save it. I'm not gonna do it now,
I'm gonna save it. Also later this hour, if you
are still locked in at the end of the hour,
(26:41):
fact or fiction, factor of fiction. I'll be coming up
in a little bit to the phones. We go right now,
and let's say hello to Eenie Meenie Mineui mo. Let's
say hello to keg Drinking Steve, who's back as a
regular from Cansas City.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
Good morning America. We're now in the heart of football season,
the beginning of a full schedule. I wanted to know
if did you see Travis Kelsey's a press conference today
He said that the best night of his life was
his wedding night to Taylor Swift. You think he's getting
(27:18):
weak and whipped. I mean he's already had the cow.
He's already most likely he's already sampled the cow. Becaues
he has to suck up. His focus is really off
in terms of the best The best night of your
life was not winning the Super Bowl in Las Vegas
or winning multiple Super Bowls. I think Travis may be done.
(27:42):
I think he's handing He's handing it in.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Now, are you becoming a super villain? Is this what
is happening? Are you becoming a batman super villain? All
of a sudden? What is going on? You have always
been the number one chief suck up and yeah, I've
had some medicals, hiccup, and now you've come out of that.
Did they drug you? Did they did they do something
(28:07):
to you? You're calling up trashing Travis Kelcey. How about this,
I have I have an alternative reality? How about Travis
Kelcey doesn't want to answer any questions, so he knows
that the dopey media will eat up the fact that
he sucked up to his wife and they'll love that
and they'll say what a great guy he is. And
(28:28):
so that's why he says crap like that to win
brownie points with the swifties in the media.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
How about that, Ben, After.
Speaker 6 (28:35):
My after my fight with heart disease, I've become a
more realistic Chiefs fan. My heart is now returning more
than fifty percent and the minimum range where my doctor
wants me to be. So I'm I'm getting better. But
I've grown then, I've changed, I've become I've seen the
(28:55):
light in this, in this new era that we have
to we have to get rid of Travis Kelcey eventually.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
And wow, and I am I am shocked this. I
did not expect this to happen. I did not expect
this to happen. This is wild to me. Yes, my god,
are you am I being punked here? This can't this
not be? This is not legit right, You're.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
Punking I've had growths in my in my character, and
I think his priorities are completely off, you know, sleeping
with pop singers and uh and yeah, maybe maybe they're
gonna have kids and be be forever together. But this, this,
this comment just kind of indicates that that the Chiefs
(29:41):
maybe we maybe slightly weakened.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
This year, that this is wild. So you I want
to talk to your surgeon. That's what I want to
talk to, because that's the person. What did they plan?
A chip in there? Is this like this is some
kind of weird chip thing in there that they're messing
with you.
Speaker 6 (30:00):
In this world of miracles?
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Ben?
Speaker 6 (30:02):
Can I can I convert you to becoming a w
NBA fan? I saw this, I saw this rant by
Stephanie White as well, the all time greatest sports rants
of you know, since Lee Elias or Hal McCrae or
Dennis Johnson. Tommys yeah, yeah, Tommy Losorda the love piece
(30:26):
and forgiveness for everyone and and to hell with anyone
that doesn't agree with this. And then the w NBA
just called their fans hateful in the meeting yesterday.
Speaker 5 (30:37):
Apparently they had.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Well and it's a it's a fair question it's you're
ball guarding all the time. I will answer the question
this way that I don't really talk about the w
NB because we don't talk politics. We try to avoid
politics on the show. And they're really not a basketball league.
They're political hot potato. It's uh, everything's the culture work,
you know what he is. The w NBA is like Peoria.
(30:59):
There used to be a raise in advertising. If it
plays in Peoria, it'll play anywhere, right because that was
like the biggest representation of American society in politics. It's
does it play in the WNBA? The culture war. The
battlefield is the WNBA. So anyway, thank you, Keg drinking Steve,
Thank god you've you're alive. You've become a super villain.
(31:19):

Yeah, well, I think usually that's how it works. I
think you just have to pretend like you're listening and
nod your head and uh yeah, yeah, what's the Everyone
loves talking about themselves, their favorite persons themselves, So isn't
that kind of obvious? How many Martinez did it take
(33:49):
