(03:23):
I've been here all night. We had a tennis match. Now,
you know, I'm Mr. Tennis here, but we had a
tennis match played for the nocturnal listener. It ended, the
tennis match ended not that long ago at 3.30 in
the morning in New York City, well, over there in Queens.
And yeah, tennis at just after 3.30 in the morning

(03:48):
and the USA, USA, USA, USA. as a guy named Ben.
Got her done. And we were happy about that. I
want to thank the U.S. Open for allowing a tennis
match to be played where Ben Shelton ended up winning
after 3.30 in the morning. And all the people that

(04:09):
worked the dreaded day shift got screwed. You got hosed.
And we did not. That was for us. So thank
you for that. We also have the NFL season beginning,
the Patriots taking on the Seahawks. And that game will
be tonight. We had Benny versus the Penny back in
hour two. And we have an NFL team listening to
us live right now. The LA Rams are on a

(04:31):
plane as we speak. Here was their schedule. They can
play the Niners in Australia on Thursday, our time. The
Rams on Tuesday practiced in the morning. And then they
had wheels up. They left just after 10 o'clock West
Coast time. So that's like four hours ago. They left

(04:53):
for Melbourne. And they'll lose an entire day in a plane.
So 18-hour travel day. They're going to land on Thursday
morning because of the time difference. They'll play at 1035
local time on Friday. Then immediately after the game, they
get back on the birdie and fly away as they'll

(05:15):
be back to the U.S. after the game. They're going
to land in L.A. midday Friday. So they're going to
play local time in Melbourne on Friday morning and then
land a few hours later in Los Angeles. That means,
they've done the math on this, so the Rams, it
is estimated, will all together, they're going to spend over

(05:35):
30 hours, well over 30 hours on an airplane. They'll
travel 15,000 miles, cross not one, not two, not three,
not four, not five, not six, seven time zones. They'll
play a football game, which will last roughly three and
a half hours, and then be back in L.A. if
you go by the clock in the time zones in

(05:58):
less than 72 hours. So they're really going above and
beyond the call of duty to spend as little time
as possible there. in Australia. Now, our lead, though, this hour,
play the hits, my man, Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.
So Steelers quarterback Aaron Rogers, he announced this week that

(06:22):
the NFL, despite what they have sold us over the
many years, is not purely a meritocracy. It's always been
the argument, well, the NFL, if you can do the job,
it doesn't matter where you come from or where you
were drafted, you're going to be able. You're going to
be able to rise to the top in the National
Football League. And Rodgers argued that roster decisions are heavily

(06:45):
influenced based on contracts, draft status, and protecting investments. And
it's not performance-based, which is what a meritocracy would be.
So if you didn't see this, perhaps not. Rodgers criticizing
teams for cutting vested veterans prior to week one, which is...
This is obviously week one. It begins with the Patriots

(07:05):
and the Seahawks, and that has happened. It happens every year.
And then they re-sign those players after week one. That
way they don't have to guarantee the full salary for
the entire season. Rodgers also ripping the draft pick favoritism.
That has gone on in the NFL, saying some players
didn't actually earn it. Their draft spot earned it. Rodgers'

(07:29):
belly ached while deserving players who were better performing in
practice would get cut. Rodgers called the system, quote, backwards,
close quote, saying teams sometimes protect young investments while elevating
better practice squad players on game day. He said that's
a good jumping off point. So let us discuss the question. Now,

(07:51):
here it is. The question, where are you at on
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers saying the NFL is not a meritocracy?
So I've got Burger King, the Four Horsemen, and Hooked
on Phonics. And we will combine all of these things
together for some delicious jambalaya, which I think is what

(08:13):
Lane Kiffin's going to be eating while the SEC gets
together to decide whether they're going to vote LSU out
of the conference on Thursday. He'll have some of that
jambalaya from Benjamin. And if he doesn't like that, he
can have the baba ghanoush. And if not, how about the, well,
the gabagool. There you go. All right, to kick off here, though,
Aaron Rodgers, what he did here is he lifted up

(08:34):
the NFL's skirt. You're not supposed to do that. He
lifted up the NFL skirt, and he showed you the
soft underbelly. of the beast that is the National Football League,
and ultimately revealed absolutely nothing at the same time, which
is the beauty of this. That's the beauty of this
commentary by Aaron Rodgers. Anybody with half a brain would know, obviously,

(09:00):
that's how business is done in pro football. The NFL
does like to sell meritocracy to dumb people, because dumb
people will buy anything. They sell meritocracy in the NFL
like Burger King sells food photography. You ever seen those
commercials of the food at Burger King? Man, does that
look good. Technically related to what you're actually getting, in

(09:23):
the end, it's a whopper. It is a whopper. So
draft pedigree. is football's version of daddy owning the dealership,
if you know what I mean. You're going to get
a good deal when daddy owns the dealership. Good habit.
So once a general manager drafts a player with the
scouting department in the first round, that player has a

(09:47):
force field around them. That's just the way it is, right? Well,
you draft somebody in the first round, You're no longer
just a player in the NFL. You are an individual.
You are evidence for a performance review for the general manager.
First round picks, they get that teacher's pet package is

(10:12):
what they get. And that's a front row seat. You
get a little extra credit. Put that down. A little
extra credit there. And unlimited makeup exams. Oh, you missed
the test. All right, Johnny, don't worry. We got a
makeup exam. Why not? Meanwhile, you got these NFL teams
with all the dorks and the nerds in the front
office and the accounting department. The salary cap is fugazi.

(10:34):
We know that. But you still got to manipulate it.
And so the NFL teams are spinning plates. Contracts over here.
You got guarantees off to the other side. You got
egos everywhere. And actual football ability, not really spinning much.
Not really spinning much here. And so the undrafted guy,
you got to look at it this way. The undrafted

(10:55):
player who's really good, it's like working DoorDash. It's NFL DoorDash.
One bad rating. One a-hole doesn't like the pizza that
you dropped off because it was a little too cold.
And all of a sudden, one bad rating and your
account is deactivated. That's a problem. So the runs, the

(11:15):
runs who are not high draft picks, who happen to
be able to play football at a good level, though,
those types, they don't just get kicked to the curb.
They get kicked in the onions and handed directions. Well,
I don't need a map. I got it on my phone. Well,
I'll give you directions. Well, I don't need a map.
I saw it on my phone. All right. Well, don't worry.

(11:37):
Here are the directions to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Good luck.
Hope you like cold weather. Knock yourself out. It's not unfair.
It's business, right? Business has played favorites. Every business. I
work in radio. There are favorites here. Everywhere I've worked,
there's favorites. Certain people, for whatever reason, they are the favorites.

(11:58):
And certainly when money, ever since money's been involved, that's
been the case there. Family dynamics. And every workplace in America,
every workplace in the world that I know of, operates
that way. Bosses play favorites. That's just the way. So
it's like, it was cool that Rodgers said it, and
he didn't really reveal anything that we didn't already figure out,

(12:20):
anybody with half a clue. Now, staying in Pittsburgh, clock
is ticking. The Steelers made an 11th-hour extension offer. I
know you're very concerned about the finances of Joey Porter Jr.,
the defensive back, but we are told the sides remain
far apart. State-funded NFL media, the propaganda arm for the NFL,

(12:44):
they report that the Pittsburgh proposal to Joey Porter Jr.,
they say, was, quote, not good enough to be deemed close. Yeah.
When I'm negotiating my contracts here, I always say, well,
that's just offensive. I would not accept that offer unless
I just sign whatever they offer me, and I don't
even complain. I'm like, that's pay me peanuts. I'm like,

(13:05):
can I get some? Can I get some peanuts that
have a little spice to them? No, no.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
No.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
We can't afford that. Plain salt? I can't. Come on. No.
Sometimes they don't even give me salted peanuts. They just
give me just peanuts without salt. I'm like, can I
get some? No, we just don't.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Sorry.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
It's unfortunate. We can't afford it. Anyway, Porter remaining. Here's
the part that's interesting. We talked about this in a
previous episode of the show, but Joey Porter Jr., noncommittal
about even playing here in week one. The Steelers open
up with Tua Tungavailoa and the Dirty Birds. You'd think
you'd want to play against Tua. There's a good chance
to get an interception. He says, without a new contract,

(13:45):
maybe I'll play, maybe I won't play, and all that.
The cornerback market, I don't know if you've been paying attention,
it actually went kaboom the other day there. Devin Witherspoon
of the Seattle football team, he became the highest-paid player
in the NFL for about 72 hours. And then Christian
Gonzalez of the New England football team, he said, hold on,

(14:06):
and he got a contract that trumped Devin Witherspoon. They'll
both be playing in the game tonight, Pittsburgh State. may
have to exceed both of those contracts, making Joey Porter Jr.
the highest-paid defensive back. We'll see if they are willing
to do that or not. So the question, here it is, Pittsburgh,

(14:26):
the team, how does this Joey Porter contract nail-biter play
out for the Steelers? How does it play out? So
this is going to be a cherry-licious story. And I'm
not talking about the strain of weed, weed man. I'm
not talking about that. Either Pittsburgh puts the cherry on
top of the financial Sunday. Money, money, money. Or the

(14:51):
other option is Joey Porter Jr. spends the season operating
a cherry picker. What does that mean? Welcome to the
Joey Porter Jr. grab bag of skullduggery. Where's that? Where
every single Tuesday brings another. mysterious body part that may

(15:16):
be messed up. That's it. The world is Joey Porter's
soft tissue. Where in the world is Joey Porter's soft tissue?
Where or where or where or where is it? Now,
we say, and we've seen this for years, it's the
oldest trick in the book. It's the four horsemen of
contract year football. Now, years ago when I covered the

(15:40):
NBA on a regular basis, I remember an older gentleman,
and he taught me the birds and the bees. You know,
the players are out too late, and they just don't
feel like they can play because they're hungover or they
spent too long chasing the ladies around. They got this
lower back injury. It's the perfect hustle, the lower back injury,
because it's really soft tissue. There's really no way to

(16:01):
test for it properly. It's pain threshold. So the four horsemen...
of the soft tissue. You've got back soreness, hamstring tightness.
That's always a good one. You've got groin strain, a classic,
and knee inflammation. I don't know if you know this,

(16:22):
but playing athletic events, you have inflammation. It's part of
being an athlete and using your body, selling your body
as an athlete. Anyway, those are the four things that
are mainly used to get out of actually performing in
a game. The reason they are all used is because
they are subjective, all of them, impossible to disprove, and

(16:46):
capable of lingering indefinitely. Oh, my God, I just can't
get rid of this hamstring tightness. The hammy could go whammy.
You don't want me to miss a bunch of time,
so I'm just going to miss this game, and maybe
I'll play the next game, but I don't know if
I'll play the next game. Maybe I'll have some more
hammy tightness. I don't know. So the Steelers are playing bock, bock, chicken.

(17:10):
They're playing chicken with a defensive back, Joey Porter Jr.,
who controls the most important medical instrument we have in
the building today. And that is his pain tolerance wink, wink, wink,
whether he wants to play or not. And so you
don't need a picket line to go protest when you've
got a training table. Make it like a social club

(17:32):
there in the injury tent and just go in there.
The injury report is about to become a weekly ransom
note unless... the Pittsburgh football team does something that would
be out of the orthodoxy, and that would be to
set a record for a defensive back. We'll see if
that happens or not. Today's a big day in the
next couple of days, but today's really the main event.

(17:53):
All right, last thing. To Cincinnati we go, where Joe
Burrow is pushing back. Pushing back now on all this
speculation that he could eventually force his way out of
that fine, fine city there out of Cincinnati, similar to
what Carson Palmer did. If you're old enough to remember,

(18:15):
they had this guy, Carson Palmer. It wasn't very good,
but he was in Cincinnati for a while, and he
used a power play and got himself out of a
Bengals uniform way back in 2011. I was about 10
years old back then. Burrow, now or never, he made
that declaration. That was a Joe Burrow declaration, now or never.
His words, not mine, about the 2026 season fueling the

(18:39):
speculation machine about whether or not he was issuing an ultimatum,
which he was, to the Bengals. Now, Burrow responded emphatically.
He said, I'm here for the long haul. I'm not
going anywhere. Close quote. He's trying to squash, put the
The kill switch on Joe wants out. The headline, Joe

(19:00):
Burrow wants out. That narrative from the NFL football world
insisting his urgency is about winning now, not plotting an
escape from Cincinnati. So the question, do you believe, do
you believe Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow when he says, I
am not going anywhere? Or is that simply the only

(19:23):
possible answer to that he could give right now. So
listen up. This is mandatory franchise quarterback boilerplate. Quotage or chat,
say it on the quotas of the right word, but
that's the response you have to give. All right. That's

(19:44):
the response you have to give asking Joe Burrow about
leaving Cincinnati. Now it's kind of like ask, a groom
during the wedding reception whether or not They're considering divorce. Well,
it's not really going to work. The timing on that
ain't all that great. And so asking Joe Burrow about
leaving Cincinnati now, it's good luck. What's he supposed to do? Yeah,

(20:08):
the Bengals, they say. He was talking, by the way,
to Bengals.com, the Pravda news service of Bengal football. Can
you imagine if he said, yeah, listen, I am absolutely miserable.
That skyline chili is disgusting. I would not feed that
to my dog. And hopefully I end up with a

(20:29):
team that I want to play for, like the Steelers
next year when Aaron Rodgers retires, or I played college
football in Louisiana. How about go save the Saints? How
about that? That would be a good team for me
in 2027. No, you can't say any of that. You cannot. Now,
some of the fans in southwestern Ohio, I've seen this
when the story's been making the way around the echo chamber.

(20:49):
And so there's some people out there saying, well, listen,
this is great. Massive sigh of relief. Joe Burrow wants
to stay here. And it's completely hooked on phonics. Taking
the decree as the gospel. Tell me you don't know
about this without telling me you don't know about this.

(21:10):
You would have to be an absolute dingbat. A total 100%
verified dingbat to believe that that had any kind of
meaning to it. Come on. That's not true. It's a

(21:31):
franchise quarterback with a massive contract pledging loyalty. And Burrow's
got a couple years left before he can get out
of the contract game. That doesn't mean he can't be
traded somewhere. These things... play out in back channels and
that's how that works and so things have been bubbling
up underneath although i will point out much of the
problem in cincinnati has been joe burrow not staying healthy

(21:53):
like if he had been able to play then the
bangles would not be on a four-year drought from missing
the the playoffs and all that so and if burrow
secretly wanted out Wouldn't he be doing the exact same
thing as he's doing right now, right? Smiling and pledging
allegiance to the Cincinnati football team and waiting for the

(22:16):
season to implode before the next layer takes place there.
And so if Cincinnati does miss the playoffs for a
fourth straight year, which would be this year, they've missed three.
I believe the number is three. This would be number four.
So the smart money, the smart money says Burrow will
reconsider down the road, reconsider the Bengals. Also, the Vikings,

(22:37):
his buddy up there in Minnesota, Jefferson, Kyler Murray's going
to suck. He's no good. We all know that. The
Vikings know that, too. So if that job opens up again,
and how about Burrow to Minnesota? There you go. Burroughs,
I'm not going anywhere, will age like the aforementioned Skyline

(26:24):
of sounds like Stugatz, EGOT.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
I think that's where I got confused because I remember
E-Dog calling in when I produced the Bernie Frato show.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Yeah, E-Dog's a regular addicted radio caller. Did you send
Bernie a retirement gift? Did you?

Speaker 2 (26:40):
No?

Speaker 1 (26:41):
I did not. You did not. But I probably should.
He's a very nice man. He's a nice man. He'll
be back, though. I believe he'll be back. I think
he'll return. All right, back to it we go. Well,
let's get this right now. So there have been a
lot of rumors bouncing around the dark web that there's
going to be some kind of update on the Mike

(27:04):
Vrabel story with Diana Rossini. that the Patriots kick off
tonight against the Seattle Seahawks and that the chatter is
that some media outlet has held on to either some photographs.
There's a nugget of information that has not been made

(27:25):
public about that relationship that is going to drop today.
A nice, juicy nugget. Now, I don't know what it is.
I've been hearing this for a while. Now, it could
be total bull crap or somebody might have something and
then they don't announce it because they're worried about getting
sued and something like that. Keep an eye on it.

(27:48):
I'll be sleeping, so let me know. When I wake up,
I'll see if there's any kind of juicy nugget out there.
There was that ESPN story the other day. I do
love a juicy nugget. Yeah, yeah. Well, sometimes this happens.
The most famous example was there was a, was it
Josh Hader of the Brewers during the All-Star game? Somebody
sent out a bunch of old messages that he had

(28:08):
when he was like a younger guy, like these offensive
messages back in the middle of the wokeism, and he
got in some trouble for that. We'll see what happens.
Mike Vrabel, will there be another revelation about he and
Diana Rossini, who's like, the rumor is she's going to
get a job, I guess. She's more famous now, I

(28:31):
or what NFL coach he'll be canoodling with next. Stay tuned.
Developing hot, dot, dot, dot. Late Night Drug Tester says,
with all the live tennis on the overnight show, Ben,
I applaud you for keeping focused and bringing us the
latest NFL news, rumors, and first, Benny versus the Penny
pick of the NFL season. FergDog says, thank you for

(28:52):
the impromptu tennis monologue to start the hour. I can't
help but feel that somewhere out there I brought a
tear to a fellow tennis lover's eye. I don't know
who you would be talking about there. Mark the Walker says,
B plus on the Mallor monologue. He says, if the U.S.
Open wants to grow the game, as evidenced by the

(29:13):
lunatic influences roaming around the grounds there in New York
every day, Why let the greatest match ever be played
at a time that only insomniacs and maniacs are awake
to see it? Screw you, Mark the Walker. This is
a win for the little man. This is a win
for the nocturnal crowd. For us. They don't give us

(29:34):
anything anymore. Do you realize in my time, I've done
overnight radio a long time, we used to get the
trade day. at midnight. We'd be the first to break
down trades. And then who's the woman with the red hair.
Rachel Nichols or whatever, she complained about having to stay
up and not get her beauty sleep. I remember hearing
about this years ago. She complained. She worries about her

(29:57):
pretty privilege. Exactly. Why do I have to stay up
for the trade deadline? So they changed the trade deadline.
It's during the day now. They ruined the trade deadline
for overnight talk radio. So finally, tennis is giving back,
and I'm all for it. Let's go to the phones.
Let's say hello to Lucky Tony, who's up next on
the Ben Maller Show in the Bay Area. Hello, Lucky Tony.

Speaker 5 (30:20):
Welcome.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Hey, Ben. Tip of the blue and orange to the U.S.

Speaker 6 (30:24):
Military. And what would I say if Gina Valentina was
wearing camo panties?

Speaker 1 (30:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (30:32):
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones
I used to know.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Thanks, Ben.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Say hello to Michael in Dallas. What's going on, Michael?

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Welcome.

Speaker 6 (30:50):
I promise I've not been drinking. I put me on
the breathalyzer.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
No, that tells me you haven't. That means he was drinking.
That means you have been drinking. You have been.

Speaker 6 (30:58):
Well, just a couple of marchings.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
All right, hold on a second. All right, let's do it.
Do you have that ready, Lorena? What? Get the gizmo.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
No, no.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Get the doohickey up. Let's blow into the phone right now.
This is Michael in Dallas. Go ahead, Michael. Please blow
into the phone. There was a lot of slobber. You
didn't need a slobber, dude. There was a lot of slobber, dude.
All right, let's see. What is the blood alcohol level? 0.98. 0.98.

(31:28):
I think he's dead. You're dead, sir. You're dead.

Speaker 6 (31:32):
I don't think she understands how the blood alcohol level works.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
You think Lorraine is not educated in blood alcohol content?
You think possibly? One tenth of a percent is a lot. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
All right.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
So that was what, 10 beers?

Speaker 6 (31:49):
Yeah, a ton of beers, and I had a couple
of Vegas bombs and a couple of martinis, vodka martinis.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
You know who loves you? The person at the liquor
store loves you. They love you. This is my favorite
customer right here. This guy is amazing.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Well, I drink at home.

Speaker 6 (32:04):
I'm not an alcoholic.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
He just ran down the entire liquor store. But I'm
not an alcoholic. Not at all. No, no, no.

Speaker 5 (32:13):
Hey, Ben.

Speaker 6 (32:14):
Do you also have the deal where we can ask
Lorena something from a woman's point of view?

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Well, that segment has ended. However, I will allow you.
Hurry up, and then I'll move on to somebody else.
But go ahead. Ask Lorena a question. Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
And then I want to talk about the Cowboys. I
think this was our year to win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
You said that every year, and you're drunk. So go.
Who cares? Go ahead, Lorena. The question for you, Lorena.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (32:37):
So I showed up at the bar halfway sober. And
these two big guys showed up, and they said, I
want you to talk to my cousin. I said, hey,
I say a lot of stupid things when I'm drunk.
I don't want to have to fight you tonight. Let
me buy you a drink or whatever. I don't want

(32:58):
to fight. And they said, oh, no. Apparently the whole
time they've been joking about something I said like three
months ago.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Okay. All right.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Can you give me the shortened– Thumbnail version of this, please, Michael. Please.

Speaker 6 (33:16):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
One sentence. One sentence.

Speaker 6 (33:20):
I go outside to the outside bar.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
That's one sentence. You didn't ask a question. That was
a sentence. You didn't ask a question.

Speaker 6 (33:29):
I asked her what? I told her what had happened.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Let's say hello to Marcel. I gave him a chance.
Marcel in Brooklyn. Questions are who, what, where, when, why, how.
Those are questions.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Oh, yes. Who, what, when, why, and how wise to you,
Ben and Lorena. Good morning to you.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
Good morning, Marcel.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Marcel in Brooklyn. This guy, what a great employee you are.
The only time you ever miss a show is when
you're in New Jersey visiting with Uncle Dynamite and the family.
Other than that, you're always here.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Yes, it is. New York and New Jersey are the
two of the northeast's closest states in our country.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Do you ever go to Connecticut?

Speaker 7 (34:09):
No.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
No, but I visit Maine there.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
You have been. Don't you have to go through Connecticut
to get to Maine? It's the next state over, right?
You got to go through. Well, no, no. You got Connecticut.
You ever been to Rhode Island? That's a little state,
Rhode Island. You ever been there?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
No. Vermont and New Hampshire? I don't think so, too.
But Maine.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
I'm telling you, Marcel, did you drive to Maine or
fly to Maine?

Speaker 2 (34:35):
No, my family drives it.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Okay, so to drive to Maine... If you look at
the map, I assume you went up I-95, yes? Yes,
it is. All right, I've made that drive. You've got
to go through Connecticut. You've got to go through Rhode
Island and all the way up there.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
A little bit of New Hampshire. I guess you can
avoid Massachusetts. Maybe you avoid Vermont. I don't think you
have to go through Vermont.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
Say no more there, buddy. Okay.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
All right, what are we doing today, Mark? What do
we have?

Speaker 2 (35:03):
We've got the player of the morning representing from the
MLB is right around the corner. But in the meantime,
TV picks.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
All right, TV picks. Let's go. Line 2 wants to play.
Line 2, you're on TV picks. Hello, Line 2.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Yeah, Line 2, walk to the show. No New England villains.

Speaker 6 (35:21):
Yes, I would like to say the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
We're going to pick the Patriots for three and a half.
We're going to make the money. No, he just ruined it. Oh,
he's down. Poppy just jinxed me. The Patriots are going
to lose by 30 points now.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Oh, yes. Any time touchdown, he's down. Who is this?
Who is this at this time, please?

Speaker 1 (35:39):
This is Poppy in San Diego. You ever been to
San Diego?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
No. San Diego is a home of the military and,
of course, America's finest city.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
It's the finest city of San Diego.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
No, no, no. America's finest city. That's where it is.
That's my bottom line there, Poppy. And no, this ain't
the finest.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
City in California. Is Poppy Team Marcel or no?

Speaker 2 (36:02):
No. No.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Oh, Poppy, you're not part of Team Marcel. Wow.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Well, it's okay.

Speaker 6 (36:09):
I'm part of Poppy's pigs and with the leprechaun. I'm
Team Leprechaun.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Uh-oh.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
Yes, the leprechaun's on my side.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Somebody eliminate Poppy, please. All right. Right now.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Let's go to line three. You want to say a
little line three?

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Yes, line three, welcome.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
You're going to like line three, right?

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
All right.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
Line three, welcome to the show.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Line three, welcome, line three. Hello, line three. We're waiting
for you.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
It's Mark in the hotel.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Oh, it's Mark. Oh, see, look at that, Mark. Let
me switch it up. Hold on a second. Let me
go to my net.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
Hi, Mark.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
I think, what happened to line, oh, wait, hold on
a second, Mark. Mark, let me go to, oh, let
me go to line five. Line five. You want to
talk to line five? Hold on a second. Line five.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Yeah, let's put line five there.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
You're going to like line five, right? You're going to
like line five?

Speaker 2 (36:54):
No.

Speaker 6 (36:56):
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
Go, Poppy!

Speaker 6 (37:02):
Poppy is my fan.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Oh! It's like the idiot card, people! Delete him now!

Speaker 6 (37:10):
Hate is a very strong word, Marcel.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Hate is a very strong word.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
So if we did a tag team match, we'd have you, Mike,
the Leprechaun, and Poppy. And then, Marcel, who would team
up with you? Is that Chris in Des Moines or
Shane in Des Moines? Shane in Des Moines, right?

Speaker 2 (37:23):
What's Shane in Des Moines there?

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Shane, hold on. Let me see if Shane in Des
Moines is here. No, he's not there. He's not there.
We're running out of time. Yeah, we're out of time, Marcel.
We don't even have time for the bed. I'm sorry.
We're out of time. We just wasted that entire time. Wow.
That was a disaster. Because I've got to save time
for Password, right? If you want to play Password, call
right now. Maybe Mark wants to play. I think you

(37:47):
said Line 6 wants to play. We'll have Password, the
word game of the stars. We'll get to that. We'll

Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
No chance.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
Bad choice by you.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Okay. It is a bad choice. We have a list
of words. One to ten. And Chris, you were on first.
So please pick a number.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
In honor of Marcel, let's go with number two. Okay.

Speaker 1 (41:10):

idea what you're talking about. Let's go with... Oh, boy.
This is actually harder than you think.

Speaker 5 (41:19):
Frolic.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Frolic. Oh, that's a good one. F-R-O-L-I-C. Frolic. Dance.
