I'm join it.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
It's nothing like listen like like hold hold on onf uh.
I had to I had to get a feel back. Yeah,
but nah, definitely this is this is the thirty thousand
yard for me.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah. I ran thirty thousand yards on this practice field.
Problem plus plus Danny. Yeah, every day plus plus Danny.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
We put that paid in. Yeah, get paid off. Like
like this makes you cry, You're happy at the same time.

Speaker 7 (01:35):
Yeah, I would say like seeing that, seeing being back
in this environment after not being out here for a.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Minute, it's touchy. Yeah, like I'm ready to go.

Speaker 7 (01:43):
Give me my home and give my shoulder pass number zero.
Who back, Come on right now, I'll come out right
now and bang ahead. Yeah, y'all need somebody to cut
your trying to cut someone the other team.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I want to do it for you. I'm just I'm
just saying, like, how many players with you last though?
That's the thing right now, right right now. I know you.
You know, like football training and the training we're doing
right now is different.

Speaker 7 (02:07):
It depends on it depends on the situation. If it's
a two minute situation, I probably am not the right now.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Don't put me in there.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
But if it's a whatever, it's whatever. It's a situation
where we see personality.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
In the ninety six right right right now.

Speaker 7 (02:20):
I go to someone in the business right now, being
at the game three four years, I go, I go
kill somebody right now, one hundred percent, one.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
In one right now.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
So if they offer you one year, zero dollars, I'll
take it zero dollars. Said well, I stayed out that game.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah, bro, and especially for the right organization, you know
like that.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Definitely, you guys won a championship here.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
I mean the culture was here. What was your favorite
thing about that that championship season? And I say, you
saw your.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Guy, I think, I think, I think the personalities all
it to one on that team.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yeah, but it's nothing like it like you coming in here.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
You sha ain't grown stretching, big ass stretching me ain't
be rased every day? Yeah yeah, we raised every day right,
just to keep the competitive juice dollar. I think for
most and most prout of the personalities.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, And as you look, before you got here, they
were just saying like we don't have that, like they
don't have that now the personalities people that shining that
come in talk shit and have fun.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yep, you know. And also as you see it was raining.
When we say never rain, yeah we never ran sun.
The twenty four seven.

Speaker 7 (03:33):
Guys, twenty twenty six Bucks training camp. We have Baker Mayfield.
We talk toughness. Championship DNA boy, Yeah, you were a Buck,
you know what I mean? Like Baker is a Buck.
He's doing the right things.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
They won the division and he has any other DNA
to be a winning quarterback. Here, franchise quarterback. Let's get
into it.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
You won't say why. You're gonna say why. Let's tall you.
We got our dog.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Let's get to it.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I don't waste no time like hey, listen.

Speaker 8 (04:03):
Also, now that Mike Evan's not here and you can,
you can finally say it, finally say it's better.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
No, I ain't say that.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I ain't say that. I ain't say that. No, I'm saying,
you know, I feel I.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Genuinely feel like I was maybe you know, man, maybe
I'm biased.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
I feel like I was your favorite receiver, you know,
just you know throughout the times. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
We think we put some numbers up.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
We ended a drought.

Speaker 7 (04:28):
You know what I'm saying when a playoff game and
the players that hadn't on the playoff game and god knows.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
How low right, So y'all, y'all do have history, Oh
for sure, like like.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Real history and Mike not here.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
You know what I'm saying, You could no, I mean
I always I've always told people he's one of my
favorite teammates of all time because like, first time in
the league, you think, welcome to the NFL, step into
a situation, it's not exactly like, you know, ideal, ideal
for everybody to have success, and for Juice at the
caliber player he was. The way he led just by

(05:01):
example and vocally just for everybody was like it was
huge for me. And then yeah, just the conversations we
would have together. Looking back on I wish I had
the football knowledge I do now back then to be
able to like just actually get you the rock on
when we needed to and make it more simple. But yeah,
to have somebody like that, it's when I was truly

(05:22):
learning the game, was was huge.

Speaker 8 (05:24):
Yeah, you did a stretch job. Don't sell yourself, sharp, bro.
He did did am amazing job.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Man.

Speaker 8 (05:29):
I know obviously you're here in Tampa now off to
extremely hot start.

Speaker 7 (05:34):
Bro, how you feeling physically? You know, you know after
last year being beat up a little bit, right.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
And and now we hear and going into a new season.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
You know how you feel it?

Speaker 4 (05:44):
I feel good. I mean I think I'm in the
best shape I've ever been in. I mean, it took
it took a while to like to feel healthy enough
to actually train and get to that point. But I
feel great. You know, it's you find your routine and
the later in your later years in your career, and
you you figure out what works for you, you know,
schedule wise, workout wise, diet wise, all the things that

(06:05):
you need to adjust and adapt to as the years
go on. So I feel really good. Yeah, last year
was banged up, but I mean the whole team was,
and so I feel good about my physical where I'm
at right now. And then just where everybody like that
we had play last year, they got thrown in the fire.
I feel good about where the teams at right now too.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, question for you, right, so you know I was
I was put of the twenty twenty one team who
won a Super Bowl?

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Right.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Is there was there any pressure for you coming here
knowing that the guy that was here that said a
lot of records. So was there any pressure mentally for you, Like,
I'm coming beyond somebody who has.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Set the standard, right, how do I at least get
there or pass it? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:46):
I think there's a couple of things there. It's like
I've always been me and you can never replace Tom
Brady's shoes. Yeah, I don't care who you are. The
only thing I can do is come in and be
the best version of me. And that's talking shit. Yeah,
making sure that I, like I do, I lead in
the way I know how to lead, definitely, and just

(07:07):
be myself, not try and do it the way he did,
because I mean he's he's forty something that at that stage,
I mean he probably knew what the defense was doing
before they broke the huddle, and so just how can
I do it in my own way? And I think
there was more pressure put on it from the outside,
but I mean rightfully. So it's like, who's going to
replace him? Yeah, you guys have been in the playoffs,
won the super Bowl in the playoffs the next years

(07:28):
after that, So it's like, yeah, the standard is high.
But that's also why I wanted to come here. That's
why I chose to come here because you look at
the pieces that you guys had after that run, after
the deep playoff run. It's like, that's that's the culture.
That's the type of place I want to be in.
So yeah, come in and don't try me. Tom be me.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah like that, I tell him all the time.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
I'm like, well, I remember you talking shit to Julius
what peppers and peppers.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
No talking and shit like like like low key, like
I don't like, Yo, that's a quarterable. You don't get
diferent quarterable.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
We would have to do the practice, like you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (08:04):
But I would say, man, I feel like and I
see here right, I feel like that attitude right that
you bring to the team, to the culture, to the environment,
and the way that you're passionate about it it and
you spoke about me with it but also made me
playing with you talking you talking to them like it
makes the.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Standard, Like you know what I'm saying, Like you know
what I mean, Like, how has that been here for you? Obviously?

Speaker 8 (08:30):
You know, like you said, there are pieces in place already, right,
there were a couple of some culture building stuff that
was already here.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, right, how did you fit into it? How did
you feel like you fit into it?

Speaker 4 (08:39):
It made it pretty seamless for me. But it was
also guys were kind of like, the hell's going on
with this guy?

Speaker 1 (08:46):
It was used to know they weren't used.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
To that because it was like Tom did his thing
quiet and then game days he dialed in, like he
would get on you if you didn't have the right depth.
We're protecting the right way, and like, I know, nobody's
going out there to try and fail, So like I
lead in a different way. I spark you by talking
shit to the defense. And that's you know, like just
being being an undersized guy, you got a little bit

(09:09):
of little man in complex syndrome, whatever you want to
call it, and so you gotta fight for what's yours.
And so I do. I try and do that every day.
And you know, we're playing football. I try and make
it fun for the guys when we're out there, Like, yeah,
there's a time to lock in, but there's a time
that we're competing. We're trying to knock each other's heads
off and win.

Speaker 7 (09:25):
Got to Yeah, contrary to like what people may I
may not believe about like how hard it is to
play quarterback in the NFL, right.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Not alone like you would like. You must feel like
a little bit of a journeyman.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Yeah, a little bit right now. It's definitely. I mean,
I'm going into year nine now, fourth team, eleventh o C. So,
like I think people play for multiple teams, it's rare
to end up on one team instead of your whole career.
But I think it's more so the different systems that
make me feel like I've been everywhere. Yeah, just coaches

(09:59):
that have had different stops, different systems, philosophies, what's their
bread and butter fundamentals, what they're calling on first and
second down, and so it's that part to me. It's
it's been a lot to handle, but it also where
I'm at now, where the game slows down, it's helped
me out to realize what I really like and like
what the things I'm comfortable with checking in It's like

(10:20):
third and fourth down, gotta have a situation. So it's
I know the things I'm comfortable with, and I know
if I communicate that with the guys for on the
same page, it didn't matter what system of run or
what place called it. For on the same page, good
things can happen.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yeah, man, I'm so glad y'all both are here, right, Yeah,
don't say that crazy now, Like, so you know, I'm
a realist.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
I just want to know, can y'all tell me out
like and Cleveland? Like, what was it the ship show?

Speaker 4 (10:45):
No?

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Wait wait, I'm I'm way from the man that they
counted out. I'm just being real.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Uh, your time in Cleveland, right, because I know you
fought your ass off to make it a winning organization.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yeah right, And I was kind of how did did you?

Speaker 2 (11:01):
And and even before that we spoke not as much
but here and there the check on each other on
it through Instagram and everything like that.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
How was that? You know?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
I think, like I mentioned earlier, it was it was
eye opening to see that it wasn't just football for
me going from college to the NFL. It wasn't just
about how do we win? There was a lot of
people that are involved in it, and not everybody was
trying to help us win. Not everybody was trying to
do their part and do their role to do that.
So I think that was the most eye opening part.

(11:30):
But it wasn't. I mean, yeah, it was. There was
ups and downs for sure, but a lot with when
I came in in twenty eighteen, Like the amount of
high draft picks they had had in the past couple
of years, the free agent signings that we had before
I got drafted. The culture was really starting to change.
And that's a credit to John Dorsey, Elliot Wolf, Bonzo

(11:51):
Heismith for bringing in like football guys to truly try
and change it. Like you can't some things you can't
change in a building. Well, you can change the locker
room and the makeup of that, and they did it.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
The job building not but you've been a quarterback, right.
The formally is you have to go out there and
draft winners, right. I always tell people you gotta be
careful with your draft because when you let people into
your team on your building, a lot of people come
from with losing colleges.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
That's my biggest thing, right.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Coming from losing college.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
No, no, no, he don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Before we continue with this, nine times out of ten
we would have played Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
I got to get you drolled up.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Ye see?

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Is that is that you know right?

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Right right? You know to prove him here get back.
Let y'all know, because guess what you come on here
playing on that Tiger.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
He got no bro. Listen at it.

Speaker 8 (12:51):
Listen Obviously, you know the makeup of your team and
structure is still there, but y'all lots a key piece, right.
You know you love throwing the football. You lose Mike Evans, Like,
could you replace a guy like that? What's it like
being at practice now and you know he's not out there?
That was that was like your first main, big target,
you know when you got here.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yeah, I mean he's like it was. It's funny when
we get into like just for example, get into like
low red zone install, it's like, all right, day one stuff.
It's like twelve dual it's fade, yeah, and like when
you're installing it, you're like, all right, you know, find
the safety, do all this, bring the z over. It's like,
all right, guys, why are we even talking about It's
not double covered. They're gonna throw it to Mike anyway,

(13:32):
And like that's the type of thing that you can't
replace Mike. You can't like that. He's he's one of one.
He worked on his craft. He was so good at it. Obviously,
big dude, strong hands understood how to quiet but fiery
though the game days understood how to win with body
leverage and just play the game. So you can't. You
can't replace him. But and it sounds messed up. He's
gonna be a Hall of Fay receiver. But of all

(13:54):
the positions to lose a guy like that, our receiver
room was kind of made for it. We had. I mean,
Chris is back looking like true cg looking really really good.
Mecca's a stud. We asked him to do too much
last year, like we took advantage al smarty is to
try and move him around and do whatnot. So he's
gonna take a big step. And then Jayle McMillan, who's

(14:16):
been he's been hurt, got hurt in the preseason last year,
but he's he's probably our best one on one receiver
separation wise, juice. So we got we got three really
good guys, uh, And then you got young guys like
Tess Johnson that played a lot last year, Ted Hurst
in the draft, David Sills a guy that's played a
lot of football that knows the system, came up over
with z Rob and then you know the other skill guys.

(14:39):
But yeah, to lose, to lose Mike stinks, you can't
replace that. But when you have a room full of
guys that have the capability and potential to move around
and do different things. That's how that's how you make
up for Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 8 (14:50):
I I also see, like, you know, around the league
the last two out of three years, you've been the
shot caller. All things happened Tampa Bay, right, you know,
I feel like looking at from outside in the community
has embraced you, like and your wife, your family, right

(15:13):
this locker room has embraced you.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Right.

Speaker 8 (15:16):
We've seen throughout the history of NFL at your position,
you know, organizations reinforced that.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Right, you know, and doubled down on that.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Right.

Speaker 8 (15:25):
Like, I know you going through some things right now,
but like how has your teammates in this community supported.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
You, you know, through through you know this the dilemma.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Yeah, you know what I mean, Like, how has that
been for you?

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Going back to the start, Like right when we got here,
tam a community welcome to sand with open arms, and
like shortly after we got here, found out Emily was
pregnant with her first first kiddo, and like just realizing
that this is our home that we're raising our daughter.
And then a couple of years later now I have
a three month old boy, So it's like this is
this is home for us. They've treated it and made

(16:01):
it like that for us. In the locker room, I
mean you were in it like the old line room.
A lot of those guys, everybody's so close, like there's
there's no egos in that locker room. It doesn't matter
who you are. You just go about your business. And
so for me, that feels like home. Yeah, and so
it makes it easy for me to just be upfront
and honest. That's why I've always warn my emotions and

(16:22):
my thoughts on my sleeves. If you like that, great,
If you don't, that's too bad. I'm not going to
change for you. And uh, but the guys appreciate that
part of it. It's like we're there's the business side
of football. Yes, we all play this for a job,
but they know that when it comes to game days,
like it's I'm ready for a good season, like this boy,
I want my look back in twenty twenty six, like

(16:43):
we didn't. We didn't play well enough in twenty five.
So it's hey, it's on gol.

Speaker 8 (16:48):
Yeah, outside of the injuries intween twenty six, right, Like
like what would you say was you know, because you
guys start it extremely hot bro here, like hot, like
yeah on fire.

Speaker 7 (16:59):
You know, a couple homebacks in Atlanta and I'm watching
the show and I say, the guy talking shit to
you in Seattle, Like what was that? What was that experience? Like,
you know, obviously you love I know you love playing
on the road more than you do at home. Like
can you talk about like where did that come from?
Like when did that start for you? You know, you're
just like killing people's dreams.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Huh yeah, yeah you guys. You guys get it, like
there's no better feeling than going on the roads and
whooping somebody's ass. But when the crowd goes silent, Yeah,
and like you take not just the team's soul, you
take the fans soul like they're pissed, and unless it's
a division game like or another team, like they're not
going to see you for another year, maybe maybe a

(17:40):
couple of sit on it, yeah and think about on
that and deal with it. Yeah, it's like I got you,
I got your remember, and that's what it is. So
I mean to me, there's no better feeling than going
on the road winning.

Speaker 7 (17:51):
Yeah, yeah, I feel the same way I felt that
about I play on victory too, even though there was
no fans in this thing.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
There was like ten people out there.

Speaker 7 (17:58):
But I felt the same way about about like going
on the road, especially against a Pittsburgh team that have
been dominating the division, and then beat their ass, Like.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
How we beat their ass?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Like it meant a lot.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
Football is like it's the greatest team games. So it's
like it's just you and your team out there versus
everybody else. It feels like it feels like y'all versus
whole city for sure.

Speaker 9 (18:19):
And it always is.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
And I think that, you know, we had that mindset
then and then you could see I felt that same
attitude here, like with you guys, and you know, the
last like I said, last two hundred three years, you
guys have won the conference, right, I would say the
division when you look at the division, the landscape of
the division. You Bryce, Bryce Young out in Carolina, sorry

(18:41):
for say your name wrong, Tala Saw out in Shaw
or whatever out in out in New Orleans. Right, I
don't feel like the division is you know, I didn't
trying to know bullet board, you know, but I don't
feel like the division is the problem, right, I feel
like for you guys, obviously it's one game at a time, said,
of course, right, but one of the division seems like

(19:03):
the easiest thing to do at this point, right, it's
really get getting over the playoff hurdle, Like, what do
you think is the next steps for the team to
be able to do that? Obviously stay staying, stay healthy, Yeah,
but what are the other steps?

Speaker 4 (19:16):
No, And going back to division, it's like, yeah, everybody've
used the NFC South. It's probably the weakest in the NFL,
and I get that, but we also haven't taken care
of business within the division. We've split series with these teams.
We've gone oh and too against the Falcons and Saints
whatever it might be. Like it we haven't played to
our potential, and like, you got to take care of

(19:37):
those games first. And that's like in the back of
your mind, if you don't take care of those games,
when it comes to a little bit of adversity down
the road, you're like, oh, here we go again. So
it's we've played good against higher competition and some of
the teams that are branded at top of the NFL,
but we have to do that week in and week out.
And I think that's to me, that's the next step,
and that's just about doing little things right.

Speaker 7 (19:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
True, doing that consistently throughout the year.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
The little things will separate you. And my question, my
question will be man, when it comes from a weather standpoint,
the difference between where you we at where you were
at now every day sun is sunny.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah. I always tell people, Man, it probably when I
was here, Like it didn't rain when I try to camp.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
No, this is the first time in four years, say
like it's this is.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
The ideal state to play in. Yeah, right, taxes, you
get all your money, and I was gonna keep it real.
Can you can you tell me?

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Because I've seen the community they and embrace you in
your family.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Was it similar in Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
Too, Yeah, but on steroids? Yeah, like that's I mean
you said, like generational families and they're Browns fans like
they talk about I got these tickets from my great grandpa,
pass them down lineage like they're they're nuts. Yeah, and
it's like one of those rare fan bases that like
it's you're born into it. And so when we were

(21:02):
rolling in Cleveland, it was it was special. It was fun.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
I remember, I remember us.

Speaker 7 (21:08):
The whole week of practice, the playoff week, like we
had like not a parade, but like every time we
exit out the practice facility.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Like fans were like just lined up on a Wednesday.

Speaker 7 (21:18):
Every day every day when we got back from Pittsburgh
at the airport, it's freezing cold. Fans everywhere, like we
won the super Bowl, which which is great. Obviously I knew,
I knew you to play for your fans everywhere everywhere
you've gone.

Speaker 8 (21:35):
And I look at your story, You've been a journey man.
In reality, it says the beginning right, like you know,
it says walking on, walking on at a college, you know,
asking to play, not saying, hey, here's your scholarship, Like
you know you went't asked, asked to play, right, Like
is it safe to.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Say, like the chip on your shoulder is still getting bigger?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
And you know what I'm saying, like, is is that spared?

Speaker 4 (22:01):
No?

Speaker 7 (22:01):
It is.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
And I think if it wasn't and I had the
mindset of, oh I've arrived, I wouldn't have a job.
You gotta to me, you got to show up every
day trying to earn that earn that right, and yeah,
I know, a franchise quarterback here, but I still got
to show up and pay my rent every day. It's
corny cliche, whatever you want to say, but that's that's

(22:22):
the mindset I have. You got to go earn it
each day. And if you're not trying to get better,
somebody is doing it somebody. That's true, somebody's going to
beat you. And that's that's the nature of playing in
the NFL. It's it's the highest level possible, So somebody
is always chasing it. Take your spot.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Yeah, you and and Emily haven't been even in Cleveland.

Speaker 8 (22:38):
You guys are always like in the community, always doing
doing things, and it's no different here. And you guys
recently did like the top golf thing and and all that,
Like what what how has that been like? Just you know,
being in the community doing foundation work, you know, supporting
you know, the causes that you guys stay and believe
believe in.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Like how has that been?

Speaker 4 (22:59):
Uh? I mean, you guys both did the same thing.
Like you realize that the platform we've been given you
got to give back or else you're not using it
the right way. So for us, early on in my career,
we didn't know what we wanted to do, so we'd
do an event here, do something there. We didn't know
like what exactly we wanted to target and do like
truly support and put everything behind it. And so we

(23:19):
started the foundation to support just underprivot underprivileged youth, try
and level the playing field for them to have some
resources that we did. You know, I was fortunate growing up,
but to try and make sure everybody has the same
opportunity to chase their dreams, whatever that may be. And
so that's that's a part of like when you're get
a new perspective on life having kiddos, you realize raising

(23:40):
your family is a lot more important than playing football,
and so making sure that you make Tampa a great
place to raise kids for everybody and make sure everybody
feels involved, feels like that, and that's how you get
a fan base that'll write or not for you as well.
But it's we wouldn't be using this platform or position
unless we did that a little definitely.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Last question, My last question will be how good is
a healthy books team?

Speaker 4 (24:07):
I mean top five in the league, Like it's into
five kids. Once you get in the dance, you all
know anything can happen. Yeah, and so it's top five
and a healthy Bucks team up front if it's not one,
it's top two up front and defensive line when they're healthy.
We've got depth now, and that's that's how the games

(24:30):
won in the trenches. But we got the skill, guys.
We've got depth. And so if we can put the
pieces together, you know it rosstrum paper. We got what
it takes. But we can put it together. It's it'll
be a fun year.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
You know. I could talk to you all day, oh.

Speaker 7 (24:45):
And catch up and ask questions and pick your brain
all day, but I know you got to go. But
I'll ask you.

Speaker 8 (24:51):
Is there is there a team our teams circled on
the schedule this year?

Speaker 4 (24:56):
First home game, Week two, Cleveland. Okay, about that action? Boss?

Speaker 1 (25:02):
About that action? About that action?

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Boss?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
I love it?

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Man, I look again, wait before.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
It's like is that like.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Is that gonna be like I told you? Or it's
like I'm not gonna see a redemption? Because is this
the first matchup?

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Is this the first matchup?

Speaker 4 (25:18):
Is this the first I played them in Carolina and
they hit like a sixty three yard field goal to win. Yeah, hissed, Yeah,
So this is uh, it's weird. I play only played
four years in Cleveland felt like forever. But this is
my fourth year here, so it's uh, yeah, this is
this is home now it's time shown which was better?

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (25:37):
I remember, uh, you guys played Carolina when you were
here and you were wiped.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Up, and he was like, because I was with you,
I was with you.

Speaker 7 (25:45):
I was well, well, Wolks was when I said him
in Cleveland as well then in Carolina. So I know
how personal you take those things. And it's rightfully so, man,
because you know, you wear your hard in your sleeve.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
You have a player you.

Speaker 8 (25:58):
Mean a lot to you know, me as a as
a as a teammate that that played with you and
been embraced by you, your wife, the family.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Right, So.

Speaker 7 (26:12):
I would say I was I was thinking about I
was gonna be split on that day. But you know,
you know what, you know what my llegis lies, my
alligius always lies with the guys, you know what I mean,
Like they can play on any team, but beyond that,
you know, the brotherhood, but beyond the colors and the
jerseys and the logos, like that's forever forever, you know.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
So you know, go get them.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
He's the only guy. He's the only guy ever that
he's throwing a game or a passing game, and I'll
be like, all right, you better stop that.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
That thing is pretty crazy, as I remember every time
I've thrown the past, like you said, from Dallas, throwing
in Dallas to Odell to throw in to DPJ in
Carolina and getting my ship rocked.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
I got rocked.

Speaker 7 (26:52):
I think I got I think I got a rough
in the passer as a receiver and everything I got rocked.

Speaker 9 (26:58):
I ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
And every time you came up to me like, bro,
you crazy, Like the.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
Fuck I mean here, I just ripping at Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
So listen before we head out, can you give me
any of your favorite Jarvis Landry.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Warments one of the best catches I've ever seen. Uh,
We're playing the Colts at home and twenty twenty boom,
and it was a keeper to the left underthrown ball.

(27:32):
The guys like trying to just trying to catch up
and run. Jarvis run across the field from right to left.
He's trying to come up and catch up to it,
and you just went over and yeah, I mean and
his big old grench finger went over the top and
it's just like where the hell did those come from?
And where did that ball just go? It just collapsed
it And then my rookie year, we're playing, Oh my gosh,

(27:56):
who it might have been the Bengals at home and
uh regardless, cut a reverse pass and Jarvis gets the
ball from the right, comes back, sets up going left
and Brashad Perriman is hauling down the sideline and you
know he can he can roll. Yeah, yeah, And it's

(28:16):
not like he's wide open by any means. There's a
corner on him. You see Jarvis crow hopping this thing
and I mean, fifty five yards down the field, drops
it into a bucket. Real, the craziest throw I've ever
seen a receiver make ever. And at that point I
looked at it, I go, you're absolutely insane. You can't
throw anymore. You're embarrassing to beat. It looks like you're
you should be back here throwing over and it just

(28:37):
but just the fire all that it was.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
It was and I know your whole guy. Could you
could you have seen yourself playing at l s U
with us?

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Oh for sure, for sure, he's man Dougain, he listen,
he he'd have filled right.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
In with the coach right in with the coach.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
It would have been fun.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Who you have Lambs the Shepherd.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Yeah. So my first year was SHEP and d D
Westbrook D.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
D D was nice and Mark Andrews was a freshman. Yeah,
and then so Mark was there my whole time. And
then SHEP left, d D and just a couple other
role players at that point, and then my last year
was City Landmark Heise Brown, Mark Andrews.

Speaker 8 (29:21):
Yeah, you have honest, you would have had I's you
you had neighbors, Jets, Yeah, lace Ship bron BT.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Yeah, like six ten receivers, take your pick. They feels
like how you feel now?

Speaker 4 (29:35):
So it was LSU or oh, I'll stay receiver.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
You you know what it is? We ain't I know.

Speaker 7 (29:40):
I'ma let you ask that because somebody said this. Somebody
said this and maybe you can agree with it.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Right.

Speaker 7 (29:45):
When Ohio State receivers leave college, they are a little
bit more polished as far as like details fundamentals right running.
But LSU receivers like we just got a dog, like
we just like, you know, it's like another some something
to them than it is about them.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
And I feel like most people if they had.

Speaker 7 (30:03):
To decide and pick, and they didn't live in the
Northwest and they had to decide, right.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
They will pick out the show guy, you know what
I mean, or they will pick LSU. That's just my
personal opinion.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
I might be biased.

Speaker 10 (30:14):
What's your thing?

Speaker 4 (30:16):
I mean, I think you hit it right on the head, though,
Like their Ohio State receivers come out polished, really good America. Like,
I've never seen anybody come out of college more ready
to play in the NFL than that kid. Yeah, he
could play quarterback. He's that smart. Small, understands concepts where
the line up. Definitely where he's at in the progression
like different. But yeah, I mean I think it's if

(30:38):
you're going for like around the country you see kids
rocking jerseys, I think it's more LSU jersey for sure.
For sure.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Listen to before we hit out, any question you wanted
to ask me or Jews, Well, you know you always teammates,
but any question you have wanted to ask me personally,
or one of my thoughts on how.

Speaker 4 (30:54):
The hell do you stif farm so them are Look,
it looks like I play angry, but you look like
you're fight demons around the ball, you.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Know, bro, I think that's just who I've always been.
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
I mean, you play with a lot of guys on
this team that know me, and uh, I'm majority beer around.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
They love me.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
But when it comes to like we got on the
field we in France, like you know what I'm saying,
so I can't remember like we always had like halftime breaks,
whether those commercial breaks and C. J. Gardner, Yeah, he'll
try to come shake Brady hand this and that. Right well, listen, listen.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
We cool now, but in the season, yeah, I just
tell them, bitch back up.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
If I break your motherfucking hand, stop trying to come
freeling about my quarterback.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Because me personally, I'm all taking a fine. I'm gonna
beat the piss out you. If that's what it takes
for us to win.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
Yes, to set the tone, we can cancel the game.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Just put you to facts. But that's really how And
uh do you want to Super Bowl against the Chiefs?
Like they beat the funk out as the first game,
which you know I wasn't playing so they had all right,
but that that that football game. It's the difference. You hear,
you're out of it. Just said, brother, listen, I'll be

(32:19):
in a pile and get up. I just slapped the
fun out somebody just because. But I'm setting the tone though,
that's what you need.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
We're not here to be no, I love it now
after the game, I'm being whatever you are because I
sucked up.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
I slapped you.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
I should never did that, but I gotta set the
tone to let you know business is gonna be for
every quarter, we're gonna whoop your ass.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Yeah, so Baking Bank had a couple of carries this year.
You've broke the pocket a couple of times, but get
down they runs.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
I understand the attitude you got, but we need you,
I know, I know, get your ass out of bound slide.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I wish you wasn't a fucking mobile quarterback.

Speaker 7 (32:57):
No, but he been like this though since leave it,
I do think this, and I think and I know
we run, maybe running over time, but I do think
that you have a great situational awareness to say it's
stirred down? Are we need this first down on second
down so we could still keep calling our ship?

Speaker 10 (33:18):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (33:18):
And like, am I wrong about that?

Speaker 7 (33:21):
Because I feel like that's and fans maybe don't see
it that way, right, fancy it like this our franchise
calling about it if we lose it, never see it.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
How we see it.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
So now that's a lot of it's like methodical, Like
everything I do is intentional. Sometimes it's it might be.
It might be it might be first, first down, but
our teams in a low need the energy. I might
slide late to take a hit. Get the boys going,
let them come over, set the tone, get them sparked up.

(33:51):
It's like, yeah, third down situational where yeah, there's there's
certain points. I can definitely be better about it, and
I know that. But every once in a while, they
guys ain't a little kicking the ass.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
Yeah I respect that.

Speaker 7 (34:03):
Listen, listen you talk about CJ gotten to Johnson when
he was in I think you guys in Houston and
I'm watching that game and I'm like, get up, bake.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Get up, bag and you jumped up, popped up and
you got in his face.

Speaker 7 (34:13):
And obviously on on Netflix they kind of brought it
all back for a circle because I didn't know what
you said on TV, right, Like I.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Feel like that ship fires you up, like not just
the team. It's like yo, like yeah, like now he'.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Here helps me too. Yeah, I might I might do
it for me.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
I don't know, but yeah, just to dial it back
in and realize, all right, this is I'm trying to
kill you.

Speaker 8 (34:38):
And they come They came back, won that game. So man,
look much respect to you, much love always. I need
my jersey. I need you to go in the equipment
right now and give me a six jersey.

Speaker 7 (34:51):
Tell him they could put the super Bowl patch on
the two because because my guy's going all the way
this year, sir, put the super Bowl patch on it
and sign it so that you don't have to do it.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
So I made sure I got minds now got all right?

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Which shim were back again with another West, We got
the We got the young humble. Yeah, I call him
mamock because when I was there, I didn't believe he
was a rookie. You know what I'm saying, mister Triustan works.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
How you doing my brother good?

Speaker 2 (35:19):
So I was telling jall this, you've been spoiled since
you came to the NFL. Yeah, a little bit rookie
year super Bowl heaving the block of Tom Brady. You
had grown on your team, Antonio Brown.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Mike Evans me, can you tell us because I know
I was them? How that huddle was every how was
that huddle?

Speaker 7 (35:42):
Bro?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Game by game playing in those serious moments to elevate
our game and to be champions.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
I've said it before, like one, it just felt like
like Madden, like growing up playing Madden, and I was
like this is what, like this is what I was
playing with these guys. And then two, I remember there
was never a like a doubt that we were gonna lose. Yeah,
it was just like the guys that we had, the
situations we were in. It was just like we're gonna

(36:11):
be fine. Like Tom's gonna make something happen. Everyone's gonna
be you know, We're gonna be fine.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
Yeah, And it was like just just having that feeling
was crazy, Like you it was Atlanta, like was the
last game of the year something, the second last game
of the year.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Down I don't know how much.

Speaker 5 (36:25):
Yeah, it's all right, we got come, but we did.
And like that's how but that's how it felt. And
just just having all those guys in the huddle, like
all you guys was as a as a twenty one year.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Old kid was like, I don't know, it was nuts.
It was nuts.

Speaker 7 (36:36):
Can you look back on that tongue like like as
well like the pressure of like feeling like, you know,
lack of her Brady because like I've.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Seen Brady cursy lineman out. Yeah, curse his teammate them,
curse the coach.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Got cursed of some games. Yeah, Steelers game was scary.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
No, at the time, I didn't really know.

Speaker 5 (37:00):
Like how big of an ask it was like, or
like how big of a job was. I was just like, yeah,
this is what I gotta do, you know. And Tom
never really like like yelled at at me, you know.
He was just like he would kind of like motivate
me a little bit or like just talk to me.
And that was like my my only goal was like
to not like piss him off or like not not
to ha him be like mad at me specifically. So

(37:21):
I was like, you know, he can yell at us,
as the old line, like I get that, you know what,
you know, we we gotta set to tell everything like
that he can, he can come yell at us. But
I didn't want to individually, you know. I was like,
just don't piss him off, you know. And I don't
think I like I don't I don't remember him ever
like yelled at me.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
So I was like I was like, I'm good, and
I was like I'm like I did it, you know,
but just that, Uh, I didn't realize like the the
you know, I didn't. I had a high expectations of myself,
but like I didn't see like the like how big
of a job. I was like, oh, like, you know,
blocking for the forty forty two year old Tom Brady,
Like I gotta you know, I gotta protect this guy,

(37:57):
you know.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
And I was like, yeah, it's my job. I just
gotta go do it.

Speaker 5 (38:00):
Looking back on it, like what the like I was
a little kid, you know, but no, it's crazy, Like
I was just going out there and just trying to
Like you, we had Joe gilbert O language just told me.
He's like he's like, don't worry about anything else. He's like,
if you're doing your job, he said, you're gonna be
like that's the best way you can help the teams
by doing your job. I was like, all right, sweet,
Like I got her to try my best.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
So listen. We kind of got into because he didn't
think I was a good blocking back. Yeah, can you
tell him?

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Because I'm I'm asking all my former teammates this, what
was it? Like playing with Lenny when it came to blacking, Lenny.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Would throw a chip.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Lenny would throw a chip on the on the edge
of your time, Tono Torino, I look back.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
You'd say that too, You'd like, I look back, look back.

Speaker 9 (38:50):
Who who'ld you?

Speaker 1 (38:51):
You look somebody up?

Speaker 4 (38:52):
It was some micah and we're playing in Dallas. Even
a player of the game.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Yeah, yeah, I did.

Speaker 4 (38:57):
If you wanted to, I give it to you.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
He did. That's yall. That's no let me would let me,
let me lay the wood. Yeah, he Lailer would.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
That's awesome. No, that's for what other people said.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
They say the same thing.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
I think for tackles like that's like what we get
from this. This happened when I told him I probably
black Aaron Donald. No, his ain't mis gart No. You
could listen you talking about when they do the switch.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
I did it before you forgot in l a Okay,
I hit the funk out of but it didn't do
much to it gave I caught it back a couple
of seconds to make.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
The right read the right throw. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
I mean, but you're not blocking.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
You're not blocking him. You're not blocking him.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Guys, you're talking about he can hold his own for
five seconds.

Speaker 9 (39:44):
I can.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
It's five seconds, bro.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
You would be on your back.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
I think we can set that up.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Yeah, because Aaron Donald is not playing right now.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
You're not playing right now, ain't you know? Okay? But
but but I need a line.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
I'm not First of all, I'm not going to fucking Aaron.
I'm not about to block you. Want on one, I said, switch,
you not swich You're not switch.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
We did it. We did it against the Bills one
you're I was. I was on the right side.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
They were in a t somebody was looping all the
way around and like I passed, I passed.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Yeah, wow, yeah, fell over you the game when it's.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Yes, listens, listen, Tristan. We can pull that clip up.
We had, like you remember, we switched. We had let
me passed the game. We definitely switch, let me pass
over game. I love that. I love that he now
believe clip.

Speaker 7 (40:35):
But Tristan, you talked about something earlier man, that that
was was fantastic when he talked about being in a
huddle with Leonard, tom Brady, a lot of these older
guys and and how they handled your maturation process right.
Understanding that you were a young guy, right, you probably
didn't need the type of uh heated exposure that that

(40:57):
different type.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
Of players got, right Like like now that you, oh
do play it like you are the vet you know
in your room on the team, in the locker room.

Speaker 7 (41:06):
Like like how have you you know, use those those
skills that you learn from them and the situations and
experience is to be a leader now for for this team.

Speaker 4 (41:17):
Yeah, I mean nobody, nobody ever, like I want to say,
like called me out, you know when I was a
young player, Like they were like they just brought me along.

Speaker 5 (41:26):
They're like, this is what you know, this is how
it is, This is how we prepare, this how we practice,
this is how we meet, you know. And you're here
to like help like help us be better, you know,
and so we're gonna bring you ex Like Alex Capa,
that's what we played next to it, Like he's like
just come talk to me. He's like, come ask me questions,
and like I wouldn't be like here without him, like
he was.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
He was a big part of like my.

Speaker 5 (41:49):
Even my my maturation, my rookie year like like like
even on the like on the field, like how like
how I was playing like my confidence. But like that's
what I'm trying to do now is like what guys
did for me when I was young. It's like bring
them along, like help them, like.

Speaker 4 (42:01):
You know, like.

Speaker 5 (42:03):
How do you see something like just you know, like
give them your perspective, like, oh, I remember when I
did this, you know, like I was in this situation.
You know, like just trying to bring them along because
you know, I guess sometimes guys need an askerp and
I'm not very good at that.

Speaker 4 (42:15):
I'm not you know, I'm not good yell at like
talking ship. But you know, you can talk to guys
like they'll listen.

Speaker 5 (42:20):
You know, like if you've been around the block for
for a while, it's like you you know, you've been
in these situations, like you've done this, you've done that.

Speaker 4 (42:26):
It's like they'll listen. And I feel like that's how
I was when when I was a young player.

Speaker 5 (42:30):
It's like I want these guys opinions and I want
their help, you know, I want to I want to
do this for a long time. So like what's gonna
what's gonna benefit me the most, what's gonna help me
become a better player, So like that's all I'm trying
to do, is is give as much you know, feedback
as I can, or like you'll be a resource for
guys to come to and ask questions.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
You know, you seem like the most humblest first round day.
You're a kid, I know, but I'm just saying.

Speaker 7 (42:54):
I'm just saying, like you know, like like your love
for the game, your past, your respect for the game. Yeah,
I think a lot of it is like a respect
for the game, respect for the craft of like, man, look,
i know I'm good, but I may not.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Be there yet, right, dude, Hayes never in the barn.

Speaker 4 (43:10):
It's like guys are always trying to, like, regardless of
what positions, guys are always like working to get better.
It's like if you're not working, it's like okay, like
what did somebody do that day that you didn't do.
It's like it's like that fear of like not being
good enough. It's like you got to keep going. You know,
you're never there yet.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
I think being you know, playing a line too, it's
kind of like you always have this anxiety I get
back of your head, but but still it's.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Just like you just want to be the best.

Speaker 5 (43:33):
It's like you gotta keep working and keep getting better,
keep improving, because someone else is gonna you know, someone
else is gonna be doing it.

Speaker 4 (43:41):
Yeah, just try and I just try.

Speaker 7 (43:43):
And as you grow up with a with a with
a family background like sports football specifically.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
No, my motherfucker wrestle. Yeah, I just I did.

Speaker 5 (43:52):
Really small town, yeah a really small town like me
and my buddies would just go from football, baseball, wrestling, track, like,
just go from season to season, like just having having
fun and and playing and being an athlete. Like I
think that's so good, so good for kids. It's to
play multiple sports. I got people, you know, parents, come
talk to me. Now, when did you get a specialist?
Specialist for what?

Speaker 1 (44:13):
For what? Let's just go play, you know, go fun.
It's just like playing all the different sports.

Speaker 4 (44:18):
You'd exposed to so many different movements, different patterns, Like
swinging a baseball bat is different than taking a pass
at different than throwing a football, then you know, throwing
the discus like you're spinning a circle, Like you're getting
exposed to so many different movements and and muscle groups
are are are getting developed, and I think it just
makes you such a such an all like a.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Well rounded athlete.

Speaker 5 (44:34):
And but it's just like that's just what we did,
you know, from from first grade to my senior year,
like we all played everything together.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
So it's just like that's that's kind of what I like.
I was true story.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
He taught me how to cut, cut weight and a
sauna he was in a credit Card's some fucking wrestling technique,
they tell me, and it works.

Speaker 1 (44:56):
It does work, So shout out, shout out the big tricks.
I want to know about this. You're just sweat and
you just take like a car case.

Speaker 9 (45:01):
I am retired now, you know.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
What I'm saying, just in case I put another twenty.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
You need to get it off.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
Get it which when you start, when you start rolling
sweat like in the song, I get like debit card, hotel, key,
r I D whatever.

Speaker 5 (45:14):
It just like scrape your us like he use you
like scrape the sweat off you. And I'm telling you
somebody told like older wrestler told it to me when
I was cutting.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
Wait, I passed it on to Lenny.

Speaker 4 (45:26):
I think it works, Yeah, it does.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
I think it works.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
So we played with the go TB twelve. Yeah, now
you have a Baker. Can you tell me there resemblance
between those two.

Speaker 5 (45:39):
I think they're competitive nature, like Tom's super competitive, like
Baker's super competitive. It's just Baker's gonna put the team
on his back and it's like, let's fucking go. He's
like we're gonna go to war.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
And You're like, yeah, I'm man, you know, And I
guess had like, like how that's how it was with Tom.
It's like like you are the super Bowl speech.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
Listen, the best speech, best beats to this day I've
ever heard. I've heard the Mother of the King speech,
the Malcolm X. Beach bro that was probably the the
best beats I've heard.

Speaker 3 (46:11):
I've heard Lenny perspective of it, because you told me
about it a little bit.

Speaker 4 (46:13):
Like what was your perspective of It's funny here And
I just saw Steve mc clinton.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
I just saw him talk about it and like you
can't really.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
Like dish, you can't describe it like he didn't. He didn't,
you know, he didn't talk all year like pre game
and you'd think like Tom, you know, Tommy and Tom
would like every game would be like give something, but
he like let everyone everyone else, Lavante, Mike, whoever, talk,
you know, and then you know, you know, fate have it.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
We make it the super Bowl. Out the blue.

Speaker 4 (46:42):
Yeah, yeah, the Blues just come to the middle and
you're like, he starts he started.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
Talking like almost crying that bit.

Speaker 4 (46:51):
It's funny because like I was just talking about this
the other day, but like there was no doubt in
my mind after this, after that speech, that we were losing.

Speaker 1 (46:59):
So listen, I told him dropped the whole week we
had there were means. That was the first time. That
was the first time it means is miss eerror, mintal errors.
That was the first time. And I don't know how
long we have ever had that. Yeah, we're sucking the
first plint in practice, I go running a fucking I don't.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Know why, fucking sixty yelled bomb and I caught it. Yeah,
I'm like, well, we're about to beat the ship out
of them.

Speaker 5 (47:22):
It's crazy because we're like we're practicing out here and
all the stuff's getting set up, like we're watching them
put all the banners up for the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (47:29):
Said He's like, he's like, don't fucking look at that.

Speaker 4 (47:31):
He said, you keep looking over there, You're gonna be
real sorry that you did or something like that gave
us like this but it doesn't matter, Like it's like
you know, it's it's still a week till the games played,
but we're watching him put the put this stuff up
and he's like you're gonna get your like hearts broken.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
What it's like looking over there, but like.

Speaker 5 (47:46):
Tom Speed, you can't put it into words like he
just like and it was like it started off super
not mellow, but like this and then just slowly started
like he wasn't yelling, wasn't screened, but just like going up,
like I'm getting like I'm getting chills going up, going up,
and then like he ends, it's just like it's like
we're gonna win.

Speaker 4 (48:05):
Like it's like there was no doubt in my mind
that we're losing. And it was it was it was wild.
We we had no empanies that week.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
We're like, what's going on? Yeah? That was wow?

Speaker 3 (48:14):
Wow chasing how close on you guys here?

Speaker 4 (48:17):
From that moment again, I think I think right there, dude,
I mean like BIG's like and we've seen it, like
he's you know over his years here, like you look
at his like stats, Yeah, he was like leading the
league in touchdowns and and he was like, you know,
everybody was. He was banged up last year, Like everyone
was banged up last year. We're like we had like
thirteen or fourteen different like.

Speaker 5 (48:38):
Guys played along the old line like Jami as Mike
was out, bag was hurt, like we just had to
you know, and everyone has injuries in the NFL, you
know everybody everybody does.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
That's like you need that like that that same uh
like chemistry look through throughout, throughout everywhere, Like we didn't
have twenty twenty. Nobody was like yeah, everyone was there.

Speaker 5 (48:57):
Everyone was like playing yeah. And I think I think
we're really close. It's it's it's it's such a close
knit team. We all have each other's back and and
just that that feeling like you know, we we'll just
go to war for each other. And I think it
starts with it starts with six. I think the the
like our entire old line, like we're so close.

Speaker 1 (49:14):
Yeah, it's just a.

Speaker 4 (49:16):
Good it's just a good.

Speaker 5 (49:16):
The wider shir room like Cg's leading, leading from the front,
like he's just an awesome dude. He was just in
here like you you like you saw he's an incredible person,
incredible player, but this. Guys across the board like that
are good people and and really really good football players.
So it's like, I think that's where it starts.

Speaker 2 (49:32):
Speaking on the injury, right, And I can only imagine
how you felt twenty twenty two when you couldn't play
in that playoff game against the Rounds.

Speaker 4 (49:41):
Dude, that was that was the first game I'd ever
missed in my life. And I remember, you know, just
got yeah, we ran a we ran title back to
back against the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (49:52):
Hit it for like hit it for like twelve yards
of the first.

Speaker 4 (49:55):
Play, be He's like, run the motherfucker again, let's go.
So I pulled again and I'm like driving the guy
the second level just you know, right out my ankle.
The pile kind of landed on me, and I remember
I was like, I was like that feels I was like,
I don't like that feeling. That feels weird.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
I remember trying to, like I said, I got a
bull rush like Fryan Kerrigan and try to sit on
a bull rush and just like like go they just
like buckles.

Speaker 4 (50:16):
I'm like, oh my god, I'm like that like that
hurts and there's nothing to it. And I remember Kap
was like he's like, just go down. He's like just going.
I'm like no, I'm fine, a fine, And then he
was like I ended up being like fourth you know,
third downs, third down, So coming off and I'm like okay,
I try to go back out there, another one, another
bull rush and it's just giving out and I like
I tore myself with my ankle. But RAMS the next week,

(50:39):
you know, end up winning that game, and I didn't
play the rest that game.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
How to get there?

Speaker 5 (50:45):
Go have the RAMS next week at home and I'm
in the hotel room like like trying to like take past.
That's like I'm like I'm good, Like I'm good, I'm okay,
you know. And I get there to stadium early and
you know, my ankle is my ancle's fucked up, and
I trainer was like, you know, I hadn't done anything.
He's a hop on one leg and I'm like, wow,
like I you know, womped up or like.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
Knowing knowing not physically knowing, like knowing I physically couldn't.
I'm like just not like let me, you know, let
me warm.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
Up a little bit.

Speaker 5 (51:13):
And just he's like I just gotta protect you from yourself.
He's like he He's like, you can't, he physically can't
go go play a football game.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
And I'm like that sucked. It was the first game
I've ever missed.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
How you felt though, knowing that we had a good
chance of going back to back And I never and
even after the game, you know, we we all kind
of we spoke, but we all went out went out ways,
but I never asked you how you like how you
felt on the sideline watching that.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
Yeah, who was down in the first I think like
twenty something the seven, Like, yeah, it was it was
getting my ass.

Speaker 5 (51:45):
Yeah, you kind of feel helpless a little bit because
like we had like Josh Wells out there who was
battling something like he had hit like a deep quad
brass Yeah, and then he came out and got it
wrapped up like Nick Levertt, like also a rookie, you know,
my boy was out there and it's like Von Miller,
like Aaron Donald and that's like his second like time
you've seen action all year, and like he went out
did it though, like you know, he battled, and.

Speaker 4 (52:07):
It's like you just feel like like you just feel
like a piece of shit. Like when you're out, you're
like you're like it's like you're sending your boys out
out to like out to battle like what I was like,
and you're just sitting there You're like, oh, I'm fine,
you know that's how it feels.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
And you're like you're like, I'm just a piece of ship.

Speaker 4 (52:22):
Yeah, and like knowing everything that had already gone on
that year and like we're still we were with thirteen
and five, like we're we're good as fucking twenty one.

Speaker 1 (52:29):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 4 (52:31):
Sitting there like my first time ever like missing, missing,
and I'm like and I was like physically like sick.
I'm like this, I'm like this fucking blows. You know.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
I'm a gift guy.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
When I was here, I was a vet in my
room and I brought all that guys a little bit
time backs.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
It says right here, you know what was what's what?
What's was?

Speaker 2 (52:51):
Bigger's best Giffies got me what it says in Cleveland,
he brought them giant deal attractives m hmm, golf clubs,
a special chup, and golf carts.

Speaker 4 (53:00):
Yeah, as they been get anything close to that here,
We'll get these badass electric bikes last year. I still
have mine.

Speaker 1 (53:07):
Yeah, they're they're Murf bikes.

Speaker 4 (53:12):
They're sweet.

Speaker 3 (53:16):
Year before that came, you remembers because.

Speaker 4 (53:20):
He got these custom tequila bottles with a custom like
leather carrying case. No doubt that he got us. Uh
watches but uh tag sure take they're like Bucks colors too.

(53:40):
That was kind of sweet. There was like one something
had a black band, some had a red band.

Speaker 7 (53:44):
Well just let me know because I got you know,
I'll text him and make sure you know, like, hey, listen,
listen to line.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
Not happy, stop playing the gift right now?

Speaker 4 (53:52):
You you can't put that on.

Speaker 1 (53:53):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
Tell them, was you anonym I got an anonymous tip?

Speaker 1 (53:58):
No, I love them.

Speaker 4 (53:59):
I still remember I rode the bike yesterday.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
But I got a little carrying. I got a little
carried about someone's.

Speaker 4 (54:03):
On the back.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (54:04):
Yeah, we had a good time.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
Man tricity.

Speaker 7 (54:06):
Another football related question, So before I let you go,
is you know when I look at and I hear
you speak about your first year here in Super Bowl, right,
and then you hear about I think Baker steps in
after that. Yeah, I think you guys win the division
back to back here back again right last year.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
You don't mean is there urgency like within this team?

Speaker 8 (54:34):
Are or is it just or is it just a
confidence to know that, like, you know, it's only a
matter of time before we get there again, you know,
whether it's because of our team as a whole, whether
it's because God has called in the plays, whether it's
because we're older.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
Now, we're healthier, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (54:49):
Like, is there a sense of urgency or is it
just more of a Yeah, I think there's definitely a
central urgency, But I also think it's a little bit
of all that, honestly, because like we've been there before,
you know, we won the division. It's like, okay, like
we've been to the dance.

Speaker 5 (55:01):
You know, Baker's first year, we kind of made that
run and we beat we beat uh uh Philly here
and then we go to Detroit and like lose a
close one.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
We're like, you know, Baker's first year here thinking you know,
everyone thinking like hey, like baby, come in and replace Tom,
Like how's it gonna go. He's like he's like I'm
fucking here, you know.

Speaker 5 (55:19):
He's like, let's let's you might as well do it,
you know, and him playing you know, I kind of
want to prove it deal, and he's like, no, like
this where I want to be like everyone. You know,
I think we all embraced him like he's, you know,
my best friend.

Speaker 4 (55:29):
Like year two with him, like it's just still gonna
you know, still go to playoff, still win the division, and.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
It's right there.

Speaker 7 (55:41):
You know.

Speaker 5 (55:41):
Then last year going how how it went, you know,
leaves that that salitation route. You're like, damn, you know,
We're like you can you know, you can put it
on this, this, this or this, you know that's what
that's what we're want. But it's like can you can
you point it at that? It's like okay, like that
year's over. Now he's gonna get better, you know. And
I think seeing you know, we had a big group
of guys here training this offseason. There's another in Tampa
that I had a bunch of guys train and like

(56:01):
you see people put in the work and it's like okay,
like people are hungry, like now we got to you know,
we got we got something to prove. It's like, you know,
we can't just keep going to play. You know, it's
like you got it, Like that's the goal and that's
the goal for that's the goal for all.

Speaker 4 (56:14):
Thirty two team. You only one teams happy at the
end of the year. But still it's like, you know,
we got a good group of guys and and I
think everyone's hungry to kind of get get over that hump,
you know, over the playoff hump, over that first round exit,
that second round exit hump.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
You know. So yeah, it's exciting.

Speaker 7 (56:31):
Because you're like, man, listen, I came into a super Bowl,
like this is the expectation every year.

Speaker 4 (56:37):
Yeah, it's it's strange that feelings weird, but it's like
you want another one so bad. And yeah, he's like
you like even that stretch, like throughout the playoffs, like
we went on the road three times. We went to
we went to the Commanders, we went to Green Bay,
and then we put to New Orleans for the played
them for the third time that year after we got
our asked he was it forty eight to three at home.

(56:58):
We go there for a third time, and it's like
it's like we gotta give we gotta get it, you know,
give them one.

Speaker 1 (57:04):
You know, we can't we can't go.

Speaker 4 (57:05):
We can't get over over three against them, and we're
just like running the ball, running the ball. It's like damn, damn,
you know, And it's like and then well after that
is like going up to Green Bay, like historic green
historic Lambo. It's like snow and these bats snowflick. We're like,
oh my god. That was my twenty second birthday. That game.
We'll come in the morning. A third twenty two played

(57:27):
in Lamba for the NFC Championship. That game was created
Scottie Miller like down the like down the uh right
before halftime, like Mike and Mike in the end zone,
back Horn in the end zone. And then I'll never
forget this. To seal the game, cg ran in a
bigger round and I pulled I like I was like
lead blocking, like the smaller air phone.

Speaker 1 (57:45):
Yeah, didn't run it, dude, didn't run it. Then they
get a first down, steal the game. Dude.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
That's like it's such a crazy feeling, you know, but
I'll like, you know, wake it up, like on my
twenty second birthday, play the NFC Championship game. Thing to
go to the fucking super Bowl at home?

Speaker 3 (57:59):
Like what the like what you know is is the
super Bowl? The same feeling as a as a four
minute for you, like a four minute drill in.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
The in the game when you got the ball last
and we got to run the ball.

Speaker 4 (58:16):
I'll tell you what. The super Bowl feels way fucking
better than four minutes.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
But for minute feels really good.

Speaker 4 (58:21):
It's like, no one, You're like, I got reer. I
think we put up like a fifty burger on the chargers.
I think in twenty twenty one, twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (58:29):
One, I was saying no with Bake, and I remember
we were just like we were just running, like just
running it. At the end, You're like, this feels like,
this feels good. Super Bowl feels way better.

Speaker 4 (58:39):
Yeah, four minutes, four minutes fun knowing you're like, yeah,
let's let's let's run duo till until the wheels fall off,
you know.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
So listen the last two questions, Man, can you tell
us what was your best memory as me being a teen?
I think it'd be whether it was in the locker
room or was in the running, the running, the running,
the offensive meet again, the run, game down on the field,
a couple of fights broke out.

Speaker 1 (59:05):
You know what I'm saying, talk to you. This one's
gonna be funny. This one's gonna be funny.

Speaker 4 (59:13):
My favorite memory is I don't know, I can't remember
what game was, and it was a home game. It
was twenty twenty. We had just gone on that little slump.
It's right when we turned around we lost like four,
we lost four to roll five or.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
Something like that.

Speaker 4 (59:29):
You give a speech Saturday night in the in the
team meeting room. God, we got a lock the fuck
in and all this, you know, good speech, good speech.
He had seventeen emmys the next day, but but.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
He had seventeen MS the game. He went off.

Speaker 4 (59:48):
But he went out like because he's just like, check down,
check out, you got the game.

Speaker 1 (59:52):
Ball we're going to We're going we're.

Speaker 4 (59:54):
Going through through them emmy list, like on on all
of the Monday, Yeah, seven seven or well you were
at twenty or twenty eight, twenty eight twenty. I was like,
what damn seventeen seventeen.

Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
But he went crazy. That's that's my favorite memory of you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
But I think, yeah, I know you're like, I know
we'll come back to the to the huddle time life
not to bro I said, listen, fuck it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:20):
They said to win the ball.

Speaker 7 (01:00:21):
The ball.

Speaker 4 (01:00:23):
That's what. Yeah, that's my favorite. But I think I
think there's in a Sera Bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
You had a good run.

Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
Yeah, I got up to the second level block somebody,
and you would kind of went right outside me and
I remember like I'm I'm like running outside and seeing
you like that's that was a cool one.

Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
But that was the funniest.

Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
That memory is the funny. I will never forget that.

Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
Seventeen up on the board and I was like, no way,
and they're like game ball, toss it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
To its awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
Correct me up the new standard. Crack to the new standard.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
We got the former number seven with the new number seven. Yeah,
bucket him the IRV, sir off the rop off the roup,
L s U. Man, hold up, think about all the
players from Organ and all the players from L s U.

(01:01:14):
Now let's let's re reacts us again, Organ or L
s U.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
I mean, man, if you want to give me a
different answer, let's not be real.

Speaker 9 (01:01:26):
Let's be right.

Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
I want you to be right.

Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
Put that on the shirt.

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
I'm gonna say this.

Speaker 4 (01:01:32):
You know what.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
I respect Organ who Michael James? Yeah, yeah, so that's
your like, that's you on the slate. But they're not
fit to be in the box.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
They move. You know what I'm saying, Boker.

Speaker 9 (01:01:48):
You get it done, you get it don Can you
tell me?

Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Can you tell me how what's your rookie yet.

Speaker 7 (01:01:54):
I pretty much say I was trying to like get
like information and guiding this guys around the league, like
I'll reach out like the album Camara, I mean he
chopped it up with me, and like you, just trying
to see the basis on how the league gonna because
everybody says it's gonna be different. But just being able
to get them guys experience and just getting here learning
on my own for real. But I had like a
shot in the room, chase them guys, them guys let

(01:02:16):
me in a certain type of way.

Speaker 9 (01:02:17):
But I feel like when you get you gotta figure.

Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
It out on your own.

Speaker 9 (01:02:20):
And uh, at the end of the day, just play ball.

Speaker 7 (01:02:23):
Yeah, man, you you you you ended a drought, right
you know it running back here in Tampa hasn't been
over a thousand yards.

Speaker 8 (01:02:32):
Man, And you did that first season, like you talk
about like what that was with that whole experience was
like what that year was like, and and playing on
that team with those guys, and you know, being a
rookie and putting up those numbers ain't easy to do.
I know, I know, I mean, I mean I came in, Uh,
like when I come in a situation, I try to
be I try to connect with the guys and as

(01:02:54):
much as I can, cause you know, like at the
end of the day, these the guys that you're going
to war with each and every week.

Speaker 9 (01:02:58):
So I mean it started off in the off season.

Speaker 7 (01:03:01):
I feel like as much work as you put in
in the off season, it's gonna translate to the games
on Sunday. But just being able to come in at
first not getting really much touches, getting like four or
five touches. But like my coach at Orton, we always
had guys in the room. So whenever you get to
an opportunity, you got to take full advantage of it,
no matter how many carrells you get. So I always
had that model. So like when I got in the game,

(01:03:23):
if it was four or five touches, I was gonna
try to get busy with it. So just being there,
they're going there whenever they throw me in there, I
mean they threw me out there.

Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
I had.

Speaker 7 (01:03:33):
Being able to have them guys trusted me and then
just lett my instate kick in and play.

Speaker 8 (01:03:38):
You had eight touchdowns right like, which again I was
I was pulling up a stat probably like two months
ago about rookie seasons and I'm not gonna lie. We
had a conversation in the off season handing to your
rookie year, and you was like, man, I don't know
like what the situation.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Gonna be, but already and prepared, right.

Speaker 7 (01:03:57):
And I saw your name number like five or number
six on the all time rookie like list of you know,
rushing yards, bro, Like, I know that's that's that's a
huge what's a huge thing for you? And obviously leading
into the season, you know you want to be every
down back, right, but you know that the landscape a
running back has changed a little bit, Like in this offense,

(01:04:19):
now that you're healthier, how do you kind of see
things playing out this year if you can.

Speaker 9 (01:04:23):
Toss the ball?

Speaker 7 (01:04:24):
Bringing in bringing in Kenny. I think that helped me
a lot because we got pretty much similar games. And
I do my best when I got somebody else that's
gonna spend with me in it. I feel like that's
what running backs at the best. I'm not a guy
that that want the low and thirty carriers. I feel
like it's take you that many carriers to get off.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
You're not that guy.

Speaker 9 (01:04:41):
That's how I just feel.

Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
Not like that, not like that, not like.

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
You heard it from me.

Speaker 7 (01:04:50):
Always too man, at least get off, but just being
there to have somebody like that in the room, that
that we can co off for each other. You'll drive
my but just being able to play off each other.
I feel like that's when I'm want two punch.

Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
So I think for people at home, they don't know
what it's like mentally. When you go out you an injury, right,
I know, you toll your labor and especially halving the
year you was going to have. And we always talk
about this where the hard work sometimes doesn't get shown
because of an injury or circumstances. Can you can you

(01:05:25):
tell us explain to us, like mentally, what would you
go with you? Because I remember when I was here
twenty twenty one and I got hurt and it's going
to mind. I'm trying to get a gill, so I'm
out there doing the shit. Man, I'm talking about'm crime
like damn because like that pleas in your mind when
you put the work in and sometimes you don't see
the production.

Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
So what was your mind going into that year when
you tell your labor.

Speaker 7 (01:05:48):
I ain't gonna lie, but it put me in a
different handspace because like growing up and stuff like like this.
That was my first time ever being hurt in football.
So I want to thank God for that because I
was blessed. But then, like like going into my ear,
I thought I just had h You like, you try
not to pay attention to the noise that people are
talking about you, but it just somehow pop up and

(01:06:09):
like you take that in the back of your mouth, like, yo,
I'm not about to be that. So just hearing people
say like, oh, can he come back or off the
seating he just had, or he's gonna be a bus
So like when I see stuff out there about me,
it kind of it kind of gives me an eggs
because like all my life, I've been doubted, so you
saying something else about me, it's just gonna give me
an edge to go out there and get more. But
but nah, bro, I just had to lean on people

(01:06:31):
that really care about me, not as just a football player,
but as a person. And I had to lean on
my faith, bro like, and that was the only thing
that really got me through it because it kind of
put me in a different asspace. Not being around my
teammates and these the guys that make me happy and
like it was my first time, Like damn, so I
see what guy's going through.

Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
And you have just like people have expectations of you
have higher expectations of yourself. Right, and this outside of football, Right,
what was your biggest hurdle in life you have to
face and overcome, whether it's now you're where you're at
now cutting people off, or making the decision that's best

(01:07:09):
for you and your future, whether it's friends, family, Like,
can you tell me what some of those biggest decisions
you have to make now that you know you're going
into year three right now, year three and be career
and what have you learned as far as saying no
to people when they ask you for certain things and
just trying to manage or bandash your life as a

(01:07:30):
football player and you know, as being a human.

Speaker 9 (01:07:33):
I pretty much say will really motivate me every day.

Speaker 7 (01:07:37):
I mean, I lost my dad when I was two
years old, so I never really got a chance to
meet him. So I always keep that in the back
of my head, like what if I had a dad,
how will my life be? Just like growing up seeing
people in you people, I mean, my guys and stuff, parents,
taking them to practice. I lost my grandma going into
my I think it was my senior year when I

(01:07:59):
had committed to Minnesota coming.

Speaker 9 (01:08:01):
Right out of high school.

Speaker 7 (01:08:03):
And then when I was in school my freshman year,
I ain't got a call and my little brother had
been killed at fifteen years old.

Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
So just being there, like the.

Speaker 7 (01:08:11):
Environment and uh, the area that I grew up in,
like my house being shot up. It was just a
whole bunch of things. But I was I was always
around that stuff. But I always tried to go a
different route because like I used to ask my mom.

Speaker 9 (01:08:24):
Like, yo, like how did my dad die?

Speaker 7 (01:08:25):
Like and she said from gun violence and being in
the streets. So I think it was just like the
environment that I grew up in that I tried to
go a different route. And like you say, the hardest
thing is is like growing up with your close friends
and they're like, it.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
Come to a point where it got separate yourself.

Speaker 9 (01:08:40):
God, separate yourself because they're not on the same thing
that you want.

Speaker 1 (01:08:42):
And it hurt.

Speaker 9 (01:08:43):
It hurt bad. But at the end of the day,
like as you started.

Speaker 7 (01:08:46):
Getting older, things you tried to go in different ways.
And then like you said, like it ain't easy, bro,
saying no to your family members that been there for
you by at the end of the day, Like y'all
got to understand, Like I'm the one that getting up
at four to fifteen, going going and going and working
my ass.

Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
But at the end of the day, you got to
say no and they got to kick in at some point.

Speaker 7 (01:09:06):
Yeah, you mentioned environments like you know, you know we
we played at l s U. You you played at
a prestigious Argument University as well, right, Like can you
talk about like what is the brotherhood like here in Tampa?
Like what's the locker room? Like you know, from the
quarterback position to the kicker, you know what I mean?
Like what makes this place special?

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (01:09:28):
Like you said the brotherhood, bro, Like, like the quarterback
that's one of my best friends. But he had me
since since I got in here. I go over this
house like kicking, I get bodywork.

Speaker 9 (01:09:37):
I'm cool with his wife, I'm cool with his daughter,
I'm cool with his family, his brothers.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
And all that.

Speaker 7 (01:09:41):
But just being there to know, like at the end
of the day, them the guys that you go in
to war with the day. So whenever it's time to
like go kick it or just get outside the building.
We can always pull up to our quarterback house.

Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
The door is opening. And when you have guys like that,
you're willing to go war.

Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
That's great, that's great.

Speaker 7 (01:09:57):
What would you say heading into the season. I know,
I know there's all we always talk about team goals,
but ship, I'm trying to.

Speaker 1 (01:10:04):
Get off too.

Speaker 7 (01:10:05):
I ain't gonna lie, so, you know, like with some
of your personal goals, head into heading into you know,
into the season.

Speaker 1 (01:10:12):
To be honest, bro, I never really like set goals
for myself.

Speaker 7 (01:10:15):
I always just try to be better than the year
that I had coming off the injury that I had.
I gotta I gotta stay healthy and pretty much spin
like I spin.

Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
Bro. Yeah, but I'm gonna be real though.

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
Sometimes it's some good thing to set goals because you know,
my goals was especially being like every down back whether
they was the catch, uh eighty something passes or funk.
I was never gonna reach one thousand yards because it
was a passing team. Like my dog said, thirty carries
you ask, Yeah, So I take my ten or fifteen

(01:10:50):
and going by my day. But when it comes to goals,
I think my goal is for you this year, Yeah,
it's separate yourself, you know, right, get back to.

Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
Year one.

Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
You know what I'm saying, because I know, like there's
always noise out there, and the biggest thing is, you know,
can can't bucket play all three Donalds? I think you can, right,
But it's just today's age of how the office is.
You have a guy for third down because that's what
we was in the office, kind of transitioning over because
I played every down, but ye had jil vanne Berno

(01:11:24):
came and that's the third down back right, and some
days some games when he couldn't block them, them big
ass guys, I had to step in and do what I.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
Had to do.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
So, man, this continue being who you are. You got
the confidence, you got the swagger. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
Like, like I told you we have the signing together,
I'm like, man, everything I'm watching like you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
And I've always been a fan of the younger guys
who come behind us and do their thing.

Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
Like I said, you're doing anything, bro, I won't say
I'm proud of you.

Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
You hear me.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
You keep representing that seventh. That's seventh different from me.
Just like I'm about to something. Well, that's my hood,
that's why. So now you used to keep doing anything. Man,
We appreciate you for coming on the show and best
left this year.

Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
Bro. Appreciate you. Man.

Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
I think craves just like, Hey, what's the hardest hit here?

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
Ever?

Speaker 4 (01:12:07):
Take?

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
You gonna get hit like we asked it, though you
forgot hit hard as you do walking. What's your walking
to the NFL? So last question, what'soul walking to the
NFL moment?

Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
Whether it could be getting hit or to down to
touchdown at the speed of the game, or it could
be your first time going off and you're posting that,
posting that that after that picture one hundred thousands or something.

Speaker 7 (01:12:35):
No, I pretty much say that the hardest hit I
took where I was like, Yo, damn, this this is real.
We was in Jacksonville, Uh, and I was on like
a duel. What's the what's the I can't think of
his name Walker?

Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
No, No, No, they twins they it's the linebacker.

Speaker 7 (01:12:53):
It's the safety he played. Uh he played he played
with the Giants. Right now, it's his brother though he
was safe. Em ye call me, he called me, gave
me a whole stak.

Speaker 2 (01:13:06):
I'm like oh, I can't go like this, so so
we say do it right. People don't understand as a
runner back, do we gotta read the mic? Yeah, the
might go right, we.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Go left, you go left, we go right.

Speaker 9 (01:13:18):
And bouncing on the court.

Speaker 7 (01:13:19):
And sometimes I don't like when y'all bouncing because you know,
because down on that I'm the motion guy.

Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (01:13:26):
I mean, I mean that guy at that point, At
that point, I'm already standing there. We're covering three here
already right there. You feel me and you bounce, and
I just like we're getting running away.

Speaker 3 (01:13:36):
From leverage, just like you're getting away from leverage.

Speaker 9 (01:13:38):
But the whole got book the corner on the door.

Speaker 7 (01:13:41):
Though.

Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Listen, you better listen. This is the rule, the rule
as a runner back. If you bounce the ball, you
have to win your one on one. We're gonna win,
all right? What that that's what it is.

Speaker 3 (01:13:56):
I appreciate you, dalla.

Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
Wow me back again. Yeah, man, this time I'm happy.

Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
But I got my first of all Super Bowl teammate,
mister Chris Godwin, come on walking on the forth and
so how you doing, my brother, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (01:14:14):
I appreciate your family. Man, listen. I know this, bro,
and when it's old, say it and done, it's gonna
be a couple of names. It's gonna be flowing around
this stadium.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
This practice facility, this organization for years is Derek Brooks,
Ryan Day, Barbar Johns, CELEBRADYK, David, Mike Evans, and I
believe in my heart, mister Chris.

Speaker 1 (01:14:36):
Yeah, how you feeling, my brother, I'm doing great? One.
I appreciate that, bro is I mean you you seeing
it work in You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (01:14:43):
When you was here and for me when I got here,
it was just like I'm trying to leave a mark here,
like I walk here third round, pick and and ibody
really know what I was gonna be. But I wanted
to prove like my work from from day one, like
I'm playing teams, I'm I'm doing I'm doing all the
dirty work and I'm still doing dirty work now you
know what I mean. But like I've always wanted to
be like the most complete receiver that I can be,
and like like I will always like watch you and

(01:15:05):
like always respected how like physical you were, like you're
going You're not afraid to go in and.

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
Chop it up.

Speaker 6 (01:15:11):
But then you're gonna ross somebody up and catch the
testdowns too. So like I looked up the receivers like that,
they still.

Speaker 3 (01:15:16):
Got you doing twelve duo these days?

Speaker 1 (01:15:18):
Do they feel good?

Speaker 4 (01:15:20):
Do day?

Speaker 1 (01:15:21):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (01:15:22):
But there the reason why so that we can't we
can't get the play action off of it, right, Like
if we wasn't doing nothing off of it, ain't no
way I'm trying to be in there, still still chopping
it up doing duo.

Speaker 7 (01:15:31):
Yeah, people, we were talking to Baker a little bit
about it as well, and me and him playing joke
about it, you know, because I'm like, Bro, we was.

Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
On the same team. Bro, I'll be I'll be the
one lean lean away on that twelve duo, you know
what I mean? And people not all.

Speaker 7 (01:15:44):
People understand that role like and the wheel to like
want to block you know in those situations like where
did the toughness.

Speaker 4 (01:15:54):
Start for you?

Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (01:15:55):
Was it a mindset that I'm at there round pick,
I'm just gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
Do what it is. I wasn't before that, honestly, it was.

Speaker 6 (01:16:01):
It was before that, Like when I first started playing football,
Like my first two years I played lineman, like I.

Speaker 1 (01:16:07):
Was I was like a taller kid, but like we
had like bro we had weight classes, and.

Speaker 6 (01:16:10):
Like we had like stripes on the helmet, so I
felt like one stripe you could be like a tight end,
and two stripes you you can't touch the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
You touched the ball to play dead. He was on
the line.

Speaker 6 (01:16:18):
That was me my first two years. So like when
I fell in love with the game, I couldn't even
touch the ball at all. So I learned quick like
if you want to be a part of this, like
guess about the team and so like I kind of
like had to have my fun on defense, and I'm like, yo,
once I once I'm able to touch the ball, it's
a wrap, It's alright. And so I've always understood like
the team perspective of it, Like I'm just like it's
more than about me, which is probably why my approach

(01:16:40):
is like how it is like I'm never like giving
a good about good at ball. I'm like, this shit,
it's gonna come, Like if I do my thing, it's
gonna work. But I also know that like all pass players,
like running backs, y'all blocking making sure that the quarterback
got tied a lineman block everybody doing their jib.

Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
It's something to me to do my job in wrong place.

Speaker 2 (01:16:56):
Listen, I'm so glad you brought up blocking because this
young man to my right, he believes I wasn't back
the pan kack and ship for well, we all was blocking.
But right, you know how I can't that's a fact.
Can you explain on a game date, what is it
like playing with playoff limit?

Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
No, it's it's it's different like playoff.

Speaker 6 (01:17:15):
It was different, bro, And like I remember he was
talking about it like before, like before we got in
the playoffs, like he like he about to turn up.
I'm like, we'll see you going he called he did it,
I'm like, we'll see and then he playoffs hit. He
clicked a different switch, you feel me, and it was
going crazy. But it wasn't just so on game's past
game too, So I got a lot of respect for
that ship.

Speaker 7 (01:17:34):
Yeah, you know, I just had a great balance. And
obviously a part of that balance, right was your guy Evans.

Speaker 10 (01:17:40):
Right, you know what I mean?

Speaker 7 (01:17:41):
Like this your first time actually it's gonna be your
first year actually taking the field without him.

Speaker 3 (01:17:47):
Yeah, Like what's that? Is that gonna be weird?

Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
Or it is weird?

Speaker 6 (01:17:51):
Like it's even weird just seeing him in a different
like shade of red, like he had a different number,
had different sh I talked to him.

Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
That's like, Yo, I ain't gonna low that shill. Look weird, bro,
look like it looks like Michael Jordan on The Wizards.
It's something off. But yeah, it's gonna be strange.

Speaker 6 (01:18:05):
But at the same time, like we got a bunch
of young guys here that's like hungry, that's like ready
to step up and prove a worth too. And for me, like,
I feel like people think that like my role's gonna change,
but my role has never been dictated off of what
Mike has done.

Speaker 1 (01:18:17):
You feel me like our roles have been like complimentary
to each other, like all my best years.

Speaker 6 (01:18:21):
It's not like Mike was hurt or any of those,
just like we was side by side, you know what
I'm saying. So it's I keep doing what I do
and obviously Mike gonna do this thing. But I'm excited
to see what you what these young guys can bring.

Speaker 1 (01:18:34):
Man, So from this from can you talk about what
you learned from?

Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
Like, you know, I know my years, my quick three
years here with y'all and I've seen how we's bad practice?
Are you teaching them a few things teaching? Can you
tell me from like a teacher standpoint? Where what did
you learn to moves by everything from Mike?

Speaker 4 (01:18:53):
I think.

Speaker 6 (01:18:55):
I think the biggest I learned from Mike was like
how a girl if he was at the catch point,
but also like his ability to catch the ball down
the field, Like he's one of the best on goal
balls ever because like when he's running his goal with
his routes, like when the ball is in the air,
he's not decelerated, Like everybody looks for the ball and
they slow down. He's taking off so like it looks

(01:19:16):
like he's going faster, but it's like him and the dB,
they both look the dB slows down and he's still
running the same speed.

Speaker 1 (01:19:22):
And it's always like easily like making these players. So
it's a little stuff like that.

Speaker 6 (01:19:25):
It's like you got to keep running to the ball
and then at the catch point you got to be
ridiculously physical because he's got They fight for their lives too.

Speaker 3 (01:19:32):
Yeah, man, you can set a lot of stretches over
at last decade. We're just talking about it, right, like you.

Speaker 7 (01:19:38):
Know, playing like really really really good football, especially at
the receiver position, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (01:19:44):
And I would say it and.

Speaker 8 (01:19:46):
In some cases right being the benchmark right of like
what that looks like at the receiving position and how
the game is played from a physical standpoint to being
a monster in the red zone, third down situational stuff, right,
and then obviously a couple of injuries a sidelines or yeah,
you know your slows your momentum down in a way, Like.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
Can you talk about maybe when you're playing your best.

Speaker 7 (01:20:11):
Then you know, going through those injuries, what you learn
from it, what you took from it, and then where
you are now going into this year, right, because you know,
once you get you're over year eight, year six, they're
like you're the old head in the room, Like you're
slowing down, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
Can you talk about.

Speaker 7 (01:20:27):
All three of those different phases of you know, maybe
the aspect of your career.

Speaker 6 (01:20:33):
So like for me, like I've always believed that I
can be like at the top of the top of
the top, right, like best in the world. Like I've
always believed that I can reach that like that level,
and like I got to that point like my third year,
you like I'm all pro and then two years later,
like I'm having argued like my best year, like the
year have to win the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:20:53):
And then to your point, like take a bad hit,
blow my knee, you feel me.

Speaker 6 (01:20:57):
And then people don't realize how long it takes them
back from injury, like you get like you work your
way back, but like you not back to your full
straight confidence.

Speaker 1 (01:21:07):
Yeah, well I won't cut you off. Funny story. You
got hurt that game? Yeah, Oh that's crazy. I got
hurt that game. Yeah, Mike, Mike got hurt that game. Bro. Crazy. Bro.

Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
We were all laying on the table next to each
other and we looked at the game because it was losing,
and I looked at it.

Speaker 1 (01:21:22):
You remember I looked at it. I said, bro Us
Street were so sad. Mother. It's like like, now that
you bring that up, it's like, damn, like you forget
about those moments.

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
Well, it's like we I think we even grew as
as brothers because the injury. You know what I'm saying,
because I was still pissed off how that happened to you,
and there was a lot of shit going on.

Speaker 1 (01:21:46):
But even in the midst of what happened, brother, that's
That's that's the crazy thing about football.

Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
It's still brings together even in the mist, like the
Caesars over him and which I tell people.

Speaker 1 (01:21:59):
I promise you if we never got here, we'll be
back yet because we was that's what we was missing.
Then he pulled right, he was along, he was a
deep shot. I'm like, bro, that was our best team.
Yeah right there.

Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
Yeah, and like even with the injuries, Bro, Like you
said something that that kind of like really spoke about
your character when Bobby came on, Bobby sing you on
a stretch and you said, got to get back to work.

Speaker 1 (01:22:26):
What does that come from? Like because you wasn't negative,
you wasn't crying. Yeah, yeah, elaborate on that for me. Man,
I don't know. Man, I think it's again, it's just
like how I'm built.

Speaker 6 (01:22:38):
And I went through the first injury, like with the knee,
so I knew it's like it's gonna be a process,
you feel.

Speaker 1 (01:22:44):
Man.

Speaker 6 (01:22:44):
I knew that in that moment, Like like I talked
about it with my wife all the time, Like it's
not about like what happens to is about how you respond,
and like that was like that's me in the moments
I can I can be here like what was me
like side of ship like everyone like you know, like
like we prayed for all that, but at the end
of the day day like we got to get back
to work, like your Jay lack of work if you do,

(01:23:04):
if you don't all that kind of stuff. It's like
I got to be a look at myself in the
mirror and say that, like I am who I say
I am. And if I'm telling young guys like about
the work they got to put in. If if I'm
preaching all these things are other people who am I
that When trouble comes my way, I just fold. So
in that moments like it's back to work, you got
you gotta mention the back to back chances that you

(01:23:27):
guys had.

Speaker 8 (01:23:28):
We had Gronk on the show, yeah a few times,
and he said the same thing, bro. And I think
also when I hear Litery talk about just now spoke
to me is like a testament of like the team
player you are and and and truthfully like that link
that like bridges everything together from an offensive perspective, right
as being a team guy, being a blocker, you know,

(01:23:49):
being a leader, right, whether that's by example because he
always says He's like, man, Chris is.

Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
Quiet, but he.

Speaker 7 (01:23:57):
You know, lead by example. Right that year, obviously you
get hurt, Like what was your support system? Like you
mentioned your wife, Like you know, how is that going
through that process, you know, getting to get back healthy
to be the person that you said you were talking about,
you know, what was your support system?

Speaker 6 (01:24:15):
Like, yeah, I mean to your point again, it was
my wife, like my like my parents, my simply like
I got like a close group of people that have
been with me like the whole way and just like
continue to like to motivate me, to push me. But
like at the end of the day too, Like I'm
the type of person like even with all the support
that people give you, like you still got to do
the shit. Yeah, And like that's the onst one thing

(01:24:36):
you really learned about rehab is like when you're out
there like on your own, on your own, like you
gotta hard.

Speaker 1 (01:24:42):
It's hard.

Speaker 6 (01:24:42):
Yeah, And and most people, like if you guaranteed someone
like that, they would make the money that we to
make right just to go through.

Speaker 1 (01:24:49):
But you have to go through this rehab to get
to it.

Speaker 3 (01:24:51):
They probably wouldn't.

Speaker 6 (01:24:51):
They want to do it, but it's not worth it,
Like you doing a conditioning like on your own, like
it's hot as hell out there, you know what I mean,
and you by yourself, and it's to continue to push
yourself when your body's not feeling good, you feeling and
like what I was saying earlier, it's like when you're
going through rehab, like you're rehabbing your body to get
back to baseline. And so people don't understand how long
it takes to get back to a high level of play.

(01:25:12):
It's like we go to geinst the best in the
world mentally, yeah, and it's like you you're trying to
get back to like seventy five percent, but it's like
where the greatness happens, Like it's in like from the
seventy five to like one hundred percent, like where you're
able to like work and you're refinement of your skills
of your game. And so it's like after a year
of an injury, it's like it probably takes like another
year to really get back to ball, you know what

(01:25:32):
I'm saying. So like after the knee, it's like twenty
twenty four, like again, like that would have been my
best year, right, and like people forget like when I
got when I when I broke my ankle, I was
one two.

Speaker 1 (01:25:43):
Or three in all the major categories. It's like seven
week seven of the year.

Speaker 6 (01:25:47):
I'm like, I'm about to go crazy again, and then
it happens, and then you restart and it's the same thing.
Like last year was me trying to bounce back, trying
to get everything back. Until you to your question earlier
drivers like I'm like, I'm I'm excited about this year. Actually,
I had a full year to like train to prep
my body, getting to do training camp where I didn't die,
and get training keep lest year like I didn't. I

(01:26:09):
was doing everything on my own last year, and like
it's tough when you miss those reps to to really
get going and then you get thrown into the mix
and you a month behind everybody you feeling so to me,
I'm just like I'm always just trying to keep my
head down, always trying to work because like it'll come.
I believe that everything that happens to me is like
for the betterment of me as a person man as

(01:26:29):
a player.

Speaker 7 (01:26:29):
Yeah, tell me about tell me about you know, you've
also been a guy where we look at other guys
around the the like the hop you know a few
other guys.

Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
Larry Fitzgerald is another guy that came to my mind.

Speaker 7 (01:26:42):
That have played with multiple quarterbacks, right, but their play
has never changed.

Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
Right, You've seen what James tom Baker fit's.

Speaker 7 (01:26:54):
You know, you you've been through a couple of different
a couple of different ones, right, but your player has
always been the same.

Speaker 1 (01:27:00):
What is it?

Speaker 7 (01:27:01):
I know for me, I don't feel like I'm a
receiver quarterback girul and then like I always feel like
for some reason, me and a quarterback always been the
same page, Like what do you think?

Speaker 1 (01:27:10):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
I can tell you where it happens for where I
feel like that happens for me.

Speaker 7 (01:27:15):
But tell me where do you think that that you
think that happened for you with you know, with the
string quarterbacks that you've had, Like.

Speaker 6 (01:27:23):
I've always like try to tell the quarterbacks that I've
been like fortunateough to play. I'm like, I'm not here
to fool you. Like for me, I want to be
able to have the clearest body language possible, you know
what I'm saying, So like I want you to know
that if I'm like if I'm gonna breakout, like even
if I'm going to do like a rocker step at
the top or whatever. I don't want you to be
confused as of what I'm going to do.

Speaker 1 (01:27:43):
And so it's like that.

Speaker 6 (01:27:44):
And then whenever I come out of my break, I'm
always going to be friendly you feel me, and like
presenting myself as as a catchable, as an easy target
for the quarterback to throw too.

Speaker 1 (01:27:53):
And then at the end of the day too, it's
like the more catches you make, like the more trust
you Bill, Yeah, you.

Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
Know it's crazy with stand out to me about what
you and Mike. Like even before I guy, I know
y'all was good, right, but y'all don't brag. Y'all don't talk.
That's probably they don't get enough credit. But once you
see them day to day and the work y'all put
in and how consistent consistency they are, like even when
the time.

Speaker 1 (01:28:15):
You got hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
But I used to leave out my meetings. Off of
the meetings, go check on them, like are you straight?
Like it's like it's a brotherhood. You know, it gets
no better than that. And even when it's goodness ass
because like I guess you know.

Speaker 1 (01:28:31):
Y'all wire receiver, y'all do wear ship, you're walking around
the field barefoot.

Speaker 2 (01:28:35):
Just the fact that what I'm saying about it's called
standing yeah all right for people, people that.

Speaker 1 (01:28:44):
I don't understand that, And I guess y'all to.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
No, we speak the same language, speak receiving languages, receiving talks.
You don't get this.

Speaker 1 (01:28:53):
True. What this browning does for Chris is mind mental.

Speaker 6 (01:28:57):
Oh for me, like initially, like it's me just like
getting in touch with the earth, you know what I mean,
Like the earth itself like has like has its own energy,
and the kind of better balances out the energy like
that you have like in your body. Like that's kind
of where it started for me. And then like everything
starts from the ground up, like in your body. It's like,
and I really learned that through like this ankle injury,

(01:29:17):
Like everything is from the ground up, and like our
like our feet are confined in these cleats that are
like super narrow and like our toesy kind of bound
up like this. So it's like between like we'aring like
toast spacers and walking around barefoot. You gotta like really
train and build up the muscles in your feet to
allow them to be able to do with what we
needed to do. It's like if you got weak feet,
it's gonna lead up to a host about the injuries,

(01:29:38):
whether it's ankles, your knees and hip, it's gonna work
its way all the way up, all the way up
the system. So you guys, no, no ground what is
called again?

Speaker 1 (01:29:46):
Grounded?

Speaker 4 (01:29:47):
Now?

Speaker 3 (01:29:47):
I'm a firm I'm a fir firm believer.

Speaker 7 (01:29:49):
I'm a firm believer in that, bro, Because you know,
I would say my years in Miami, when I was
a younger player, I didn't adopt the ways of some
of my bets and and you know, and I don't
think either, like taking care of your body was a
huge thing back then. We've seen it develop a lot
more other sports, like with Lebron James. You know, I
remember seeing the stats. He said, you put like a

(01:30:09):
two million year body.

Speaker 8 (01:30:11):
And then from there, I think that that switched to
flip the switch in everybody's.

Speaker 3 (01:30:16):
Brain a little bit a lot of players. But I
was big on the grounded thing too, Bro.

Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
I was.

Speaker 7 (01:30:21):
I was every walkthrough, whether it was on turf, grass,
no matter what. You know, it's all connected, right, and
it's all connected, you know, and and in a way too,
like Bro, like.

Speaker 8 (01:30:37):
I would say, especially in Cleveland, like it was, it
contributed to a lot of like, you know, my success
and my readiness to go to practice to be ready
for a game, like rolling your feet out, you know.
But outside of that, man, like, obviously, you've been on
the championship football team, right you you you've won the

(01:30:58):
highest honor. I'm sure you won leadership or a bes
receiver on the team a few times as.

Speaker 1 (01:31:04):
Well, right, Like, like, what's what's special about this locker room?

Speaker 3 (01:31:08):
Like what's special about these guys?

Speaker 1 (01:31:10):
You know?

Speaker 8 (01:31:11):
Or maybe is very you know, similar to the championship
teams that you've played on this team.

Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
I would say, like.

Speaker 6 (01:31:21):
The interesting thing about this team is like we don't
have anybody that's like super egotistical, Like everybody is is
all like for the unit, and like if you want
to be a great team, like you need that, like
you need guys that's pulling the rope in the right direction.
And I think that like honestly, I mean, I think
a lot of the world is like sleeping on us.

(01:31:43):
But like good like because we're not wanting to know
you're not winning a championship on paper anyway, you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (01:31:49):
Like it's not like like what twenty twenty two.

Speaker 6 (01:31:51):
Right where everybody will hulill me and you might like
they're like, yo, the bucks going to do it yet
like one last time for Time, we came out there
with trash, Like it's like you not winning because Time
tell me right. But it's like, but we weren't toget
Like when we were playing on the field, it wasn't clicking,
and it's like it don't matter what like what you
have on paper, if you got the right guys in
the locker room and everyone has the same belief and

(01:32:14):
you work your ass off, like there's no telling what
you like the heights that you can reach.

Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
So I like the guys we got in the locker room.

Speaker 6 (01:32:19):
We got a bunch of versatility on offense and defense,
Like but now we we just got to put the
work in.

Speaker 1 (01:32:24):
Like that's where the should come down to.

Speaker 7 (01:32:26):
Before we go, before we go, before we go, I
just want to see something because I think we're very similar.
What what would be your top five receivers of all time?
My top ten in the end, if you can throw ten,
throw ten, yeah, and you can throw ten, but you
can throw five. If you can throw ten, because you
know five, we always go Jerry, you know what I mean?
But after them, I just kind of want to see

(01:32:48):
where after them.

Speaker 1 (01:32:49):
I I was a big fan Andre Johnson fits I
love t o.

Speaker 10 (01:32:58):
Who else?

Speaker 1 (01:32:59):
I really like watching child played too with your like
he I don't get a lot of a lot of
you don't. You don't, he don't you don't get a
lot of love. I'm I mean Calvin, like you know
what I mean. Yeah, that's fair, Yeah, that's fair. Love
that before before we go, your best memory had when
I was there with you with.

Speaker 10 (01:33:19):
Me, damn best one, best worn. I don't know I'm saying.
I know, I'm trying to think.

Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
I mean the chip, I mean was crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:33:33):
We should be for the chip though, yeah, like it
would be twenty twenty two after you want the chip?

Speaker 3 (01:33:38):
Like who won my locker room games? You with Devin White?

Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
I mean, I go, lie that was that was that
was kicking.

Speaker 6 (01:33:46):
He was kicking people's faces here, he was tripping. I
don't know, I think I ain't gonna lie, bro. Like
some of the stories that you used to tell was hilario,
like about your time at Jacksonville, Like he's like your
lady is tripping like he's spats it out on people.

Speaker 1 (01:34:00):
For sure, Thank you, Chris, but I appreciate you. Bro
y'all s appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (01:34:07):
Mm hmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmm
