Speaker 1 (00:22):
I feel like I've made some pretty sweet predictions over
the years. You've been on fire lately, but not a
good weekend. Specifically, one game that my read on was
dead ass as they saund dead ass wrong, Oh you're
wrong about it. I was Sam, You, Dan Bayer, Danny
g everyone in the DA studio argued with all of us.
(00:44):
I said, you guys were all clowns of the ass
ass clowns, and I am the ass clown who believed
in Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
What was I thinking? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
I mean, I just I got that gut feeling that,
you know, maybe it was just indigestion. I I thought
that Aaron Rodgers and the Jets would turn it around
to give New York fans a little something to feel.
And you, my prediction was they'd be good enough just
to tease the fans. I liked that theory because it
felt like it felt possible, just knowing how Jets seasons
(01:18):
usually work and how the fans are pulled in. But
this team had nothing going for it. And you know what,
my into the Rodgers thing this year at all. It
was a double doozy for me as a forty nine
Ers fan, because not only was I calling for the
the rise of Aaron Rodgers and Yo, this guy's done,
He's gonna bring it. I was also downplaying the Cardinals,
(01:40):
probably because as a Niners fan subconsciously, I'm like, man,
I hope the Cardinals think, but it looked like the
Cardinals our team that's getting better and better. And not
only that, did you hear Kyler Murray had to say
after the game about getting hit because he got hit
right head was in that helmet was oh my god,
did he get in decapitated?
Speaker 2 (01:59):
The helmet went firing off? Did you chext you a lot? Yeah?
I texted you guys.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
No, It's like it's like a remember a naked gun
when they show the highlights and the guy goes up
to centerfield to get a ball and his.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Head falls off.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, I mean it looked like that because he was
hit so hard from behind if you missed it. But
they asked him about it after the game, and he
said that sort of was a good thing because it
just woke everybody up if you missed it. This is
what he had to say about it.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
It juiced everybody up in a sense.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
And you know, I'm glad nothing bad came out of it.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Yeah, it was a good thing, I think.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
You know. Yeah, man juiced him up. When he popped
up so fast like that.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
It reminded me of like falling down in high school
in front of a whole bunch of kids at the quad,
and like you, you would like jump up really fast
like nothing happened.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Dy G.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
I once in high school. I'm not even joking. I
was at school once, I'm guessing like tenth grade. I
was wearing some baggy jeans and probably some Nirvana T shirt,
thinking I was cool than I was.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
You didn't even know three songs from Nirvana, but you
were rocking that shirt. Here.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
I am a little bit of a muddy day on
the East Coast, you know, I Sluddy Banks from the WISHCNC.
I slipped on my ass into the mud in front
of like the popular girls outside the school, and that
is the worst feeling, like a fourteen fifty year old
kid could feel. I think you gotta do that pop
up like you said, like, I'm good here, nothing wrong,
(03:22):
I'm good, No, you know, you know. But the way
he described it was, you know, I compare a lot
of things to prize fighting. It's just a raw sport.
We could all relate to it. In boxing. How many
guys you you poked the bear, you woke them up.
They don't wake up until they get their bell rung.
And he got popped and it's like, oh, hey, that's right,
(03:43):
this is the NFL. We better, you know, wake the
hell up and get moving here. Sometimes a big fighter
doesn't wake up till he gets hit hard and then
he realizes it's a fight.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
You might see that this weekend.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Mike Tyson may They asked him, Hey, Mike, so what
makes you think you're gonna win? He goes, I, Mike,
well guess what it might be that punch to the
face that reminds him that, yeah, be and Mike Tyson
isn't enough. You're gonna have to get in there and
mix it up. Here's what I'm hoping for. And I
feel like most people are. If Jake Paul comes out
(04:15):
on Friday all aggressive and Mike saw that playful like
he was with that little hasbullo. Kid can't be when
he's like, hey, le' good Jake Paul. And also if
Jake Paul gets him, and then also Mike Tyson like that,
you see the beast within.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Come out.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, that's what we're also to hope the story of
Lambert the Sheepish Lion. You guys know the story of
Lambert the Sheepish Lion. Hold on, let me get my
little carpet like him in second grade and you can
tell me the story. Let me sit on it Indian style.
Chris cross Apple saws a lion who's raised by sheep, right,
but he doesn't realize that he is a lion and
(04:54):
he's capable of what a lion can accomplish and be
He only realizes that when his sheep is being attacked
by a wolf by a coyote. I like Tigrif So
when you push to that limit, you want to see
that lion, that king come out. And we hope that's
what happens with Tyson. And we saw that with the Cardinals.
(05:14):
He got hit Kyler Murray woke the hell up. They
started playing Next Level. It woke them up. It was
a good thing. It reminded them of who they were,
who they are, what they're capable of. Sometimes we all
need that kick in the s in life because you
got too content on I just cruising through. Yeah. So
with that said, I want to say, Dan Byer, I apologize.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I was sam. I was wrong.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Danny g you were right. Jet stink they do to
the high heavens. I thought this was gonna be a
statement in the Great Stink of eighteen fifteen. I thought
I thought DeVonta Adams was gonna be like, yeah, nine catches,
one hundred and ten yards and oh get that of
you know, Darren Rodgers, three hundo, three tuddies and Nope,
I was I mean, I was dead wrong.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
That team is where I sort of want to start today.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
If you're a Jets fan, can you you don't want
to put that funne nail on the coffin or that
you don't want to put the stamp on yet, But
can you say, Aaron Rodgers, the experiment with the Jets
is done? Or do you feel like, well, we got
maybe one more.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Year and maybe you know it's it's forty nine million
dollars in dead cap space next year, whether he retires
or not. Right, did they go back?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Do they go back to think about both New York
teams to be honest, terrible, but the Giants what they're
in place for the first pick, so.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Nothing can they make a trade to get Zach Wilson back?
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Nothing more New York Giants or Jets. Then the Giants
came back. We all turned that game on early yesterday,
right because here on the West coast, a lease it
was early, so he turns on oh oh because they
can have Jets are down. I'm sorry, Giants are down.
They make a sweet comeback, only to fumble on the
first possession of overtiming.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
You're like, how week? Anyway, the Jets? I was wrong.
You guys are right.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
But where does that lead? It's not that you were wrong.
You created a storyline that felt fun and believable, Like, yeah,
confident I could see that happening. I think Rich was
more confident in his storyline than the actual Jets.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Like there are times where you're like, man, this storyline
would be so good.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
And that's the storyline ended up. You know, I'm right,
that wasn't the storyline.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Instead of having a veteran QB at the very end
of his run, though, could this be like a blessing
in disguise maybe for the Jets because they could possibly
potentially get one of the best quarterbacks up at the
top of the draft.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I mean it's possibly. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Sometimes again, I got to give life analogies. You got
to hit rock bottom now under that scenario, start building
all over again. Under that scenario you speak of, Danny
j I'm sure local New York reporters and Jets people
are thinking of those possibilities. Is there a world in
which the Jets draft a high pick and that person
sits behind one more year of Aaron Rodgers to learn
(08:04):
and Rogers tries to go all out like I won
last year because this is not.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I ain't going down like that. Do you think he's
going out like that?
Speaker 1 (08:12):
No? You know what, I could see that rich, Yeah,
And if you were, I don't know, on vacation or
you just woke up the Jets. They got destroyed by
the Cardinals. He wasn't even close. Thirty one six thirty
one six. Kyler Murray just doing what Kyler Murray does
looking good, fast, quick, and Connor hard to tackle. But
(08:35):
again thirty one six the Jets showing nothing and Aaron Rodgers.
You could tell he's upset. You could tell he didn't
want to say the wrong things too. After the game,
he wanted to sit on before he actually spoke his
heart and spoke his mind. He actually took a breath,
which I thought was a little refreshing and smart, because
I think he would have said some things he regretted yesterday.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Good thing.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Robert sala is still there so they can fire. Oh wait, yeah,
I'm so away. Does does it look like he was
the problem after all? Huh maybe sure? By yourself exactly,
thank you. Then Iowa Sam, he's on the ones and
tuesdayny G Dan Byer Elijah's here on the videos. You
could watch what you're hearing. And you see my sweet
new haircut too.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, and that.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Nice jacket, you were a sweet army jacket again on
Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page, Fox sports radio dot Com
at Fox Sports Radio, Yeah exactly, social media at Fox
Sports Sports Radio, at Cavino and Rich. So any other
last words about the Jets, because that brings us usually
to things that made you go hmmm. We do it
every Monday here on the Cavino and Rich Show.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Things that make you go, things that make your goal.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
So this is where we get you involved. Fox Sports
Radio Nation. There's no wrong answers. Okay, it could be
in the world of sports, preferably football, because we just
got off this kick ass weekend of football heading into
Monday night football. Any of your observation in the world
of sports and entertainment, anything that made you say hmm,
anything that made you scratch your nog. And I'll start
(10:06):
off with an easy one because I thought it was noticeable.
I mean, the game itself was great. We're gonna obviously
talk about that. But for someone that always talks about uniforms,
I loved the Texans uniform last night.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
I thought it was cool. Did you like it or no? Different?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
I like it that I feel like you have, like,
like a stronger opinion on these. I love alternate uniforms,
and I think the Texans they have a cool young quarterback.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
I think they have a cool coach.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
They have a cool uniform matches more of the young
vibe young quarterback. I like the look. Hey they fell short,
but I thought they looked cool with those uniforms. Danny
G was like, they look like jolly ranchers. I listen,
I know, oh, and I said, I wasn't mad at it.
They've been They've been accused in the past of having
a boring uniform. Yes, it was nothing boring about that. Yeah,
(10:52):
I would like some XFL sort of uniform. It's all takes,
I said. It's always a winning attitude. A couple of
star players, and you can make a previously boring team
cool pretty. You and dB are the first guys always
to bring up Ah, they're they're busting out these uniforms.
You didn't even mention those, I said almost. I was like, whoa,
those are sweet. The Jags had a white helmet. You know,
(11:14):
teams are being able to experiment a little more as
long as they don't go crazy like the NBA, where
every day seems like a different jersey.
Speaker 6 (11:20):
Right.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
I think the NFL has a pretty good right now,
and it's noticeable. It's hard to argue that that's not
a sweet UNI. You gotta feel a little cooler once
in a while busting those out. But again, they didn't
win them, but it did look good.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I thought so.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Anyway, well, Mike, we're gonna I want to save some
of the bigger storylines, like the forty nine Ers, the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
That's why we open Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
So you know your your phone calls with feedback at
eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox. So story
number one, Rich was wrong about the jet. I'll give
you a light one because I'm like, how did this happen?
Just when you thought they couldn't get worse bringing a
new interim coach, and you.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Bring the Riz And how did the Falcons lose to
the same the Falcons. I thought we're ready to just roll.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Dude, not only that night to the post, Saints would
have beat them even worse if Kamara didn't dropped that pass.
I don't know if you saw it, but dude, car
he made some nice passes that were dropped. The score
would have been even worse. So the Saints would have
won by a lot more if that didn't happen. So
I look at that and say, he's just played a
good game. I don't know how it's it's made me
(12:24):
say that team confuses the hell out of me, because, right, Danny,
remember in the beginning of the season, we all said
worst team of the league. The Saints, they started out
to and out and put like forty spots up.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
You and Bayer said that, yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
And then dude, there would have been twenty seven to
seventeen had those passes been They lose seven in a
row and then they win yesterday, but against a team,
like we said, there were people talking about the Falcons
are about to take that next step to the elite
of the NFC, and they kind of be just taking
your foot off the pedal Division game. Saints step up.
The Falcons don't step on it. They don't prepare the
(12:57):
same way, even if it's subconscious, right, they're going through
all the motions on it. We take every game series.
Of course, styles make fights and styles make games. But
you gotta imagine that the Falcons just didn't expect the
Saints to bring it the way they did.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Didn't You didn't you think too in that early window
because so many of the games were close and exciting.
Game management in the fourth quarter was so important yesterday.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
No doubt in all the games.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
Mean yeah, yeah, and that's where you know, having an
Andy Reid type brain on the sideline really puts you
over the top.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
And by the way, not everybody watches red Zone, but
if you were watching Scott Hansen Red Zone, Danny g doesnt.
It was like every game was sort of wrapping up
around the same time.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
God, oh my god, oh my god. Yes it was.
It was crazy play, crazy.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
Ending after although Andy Reid was one of the guys
standing there having a nervous stomach because the Broncos had
the last drive that was one of the game, and
I'm thinking, I swear to god, I said this out loud.
Better punch that into the end zone. You better get
that into the end zone. And instead it felt like
they were just lining up the field goal to be
in the center there.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
That's the great things that make you go.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
All the final plays and endings of these games were
pretty exciting. Yesterday, Yeah, South Quarter was exciting. Just back
to the Saints for a second. The big win for
reporters everywhere because the headlines and puns using RIZ or
out of control. Nobody beats the RIZ. The Rizzler comes
out in New Orleans like everyone, so, hey, you know what,
(14:22):
got to get props to Darren Rizzy his debut, a
win over a team that people thought was about to
really take that next step. People were saying, well, the
you know, the Falcons weak division with and that especially
with Tampa losing a lot of their wide receivers and
you know Carolina being bottom of the barrel and the Saints.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
Same thing.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
People thought, now is the time where the Falcons were
just going to take off.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Not so fast.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
I mean, geez, Saints, they're not going anywhere. But what
an odd win. In my opinion. You brought up coach
Andy Reid and the Chiefs and the inability for Denver
to try to punch that in. Does this just set
up for what I'm hoping is the ultimate left down.
I'm pulling for this to be like the Brady undefeated
(15:07):
Patriots where everything's so perfect from a homes and Kelsey
and I hope come playoff time someone spoils their perfect
season because.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
That's a loss, Danny. In fact, it was Dan Bayer.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah, debating teams get breaks like that, but dB called it.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
He goes.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
I said, Dan, what do you think the Chiefs will
trip up? And He's like, probably a division game, And
it was right there.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Yeah, I actually was thinking the same thing. I was like,
Dan Byer's a visionary.
Speaker 6 (15:34):
Yeah, I thought it could be Denver against Danny's Raiders.
Maybe in a couple of weeks we've seen it. Plus
it was such a trap game for them short week
off the overtime win. They got Buffalo next week. Yeah,
and no disrespect like Denver. It sucked that they lost yesterday,
but that defense is legit. So it was all there.
But except the special teams.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Oh Man and I felt like there were five different
guys that could come in for that block, like the
did the line freeze.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
It was just so bad.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
Even on my Sunday show, we were identifying that we
weren't giving credit to leoshin all. We were giving it
to Carl Loftus because there were so many guys in
on the play that you know, to make it.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Honestly, if you would have told me he was an
impractical jokers, Bit and Sal and Joe and all those
guys lined up on the offensive line like it seemed
like honestly, it seemed so outmatched, Like how they get
how could they get that much pressure?
Speaker 2 (16:21):
You thought the game was over? Yeah, everyone thought the
game was over.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Wow, it did feel like there were four chiefs that
could have been in there.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
That was amazing.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Let's go with Steve and Reno Steve, you're on the show,
did you say, Steve Areno, what's up?
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Buddy?
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (16:38):
Hey doing guys?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (16:40):
The thing that made me go, who was Dan Campbell
at the end of regulation there, third and seven with
a time out and he stands there looking at the
referee for twenty seven seconds and they're just standing there
look at each other. And then I read his lips
and said, he goes. I called the time out, and
then all of a sudden, one second ago, it gets
(17:01):
the dime out, and luckily they made the field goal.
But why wouldn't you run another play there and then
call dime out?
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Yeah? I listen a lot of times.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
It's a very easy from uh, you know, sitting on
your ass scratching your belly on your couch.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
I get it. They're they're on the field. It's in
the moment.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
But there are times where you're thinking to yourself, like,
what is the coach doing? Like the way we do
it the clock here. According to my girlfriend, that's all
that I do. Rich, I just lay there on the
couch scratching my belf. I've heard yeah all day, all
the time, not only on Sundays, every day. Yeah, yeah,
I'll be doing that later. I'm great at it. But yeah, man,
the Lions, I would say, Jared Goff of five picks
(17:39):
is what stood out to me and you if you
could escape a game like that, Yeah, with a w
that shows how good the Lions are real that that's
really the greatest point. You had five picks, You had
your worst.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Game and you still one. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
I know Detroit Lions fans and friends of mine that
shut the game off just add a frustration. Listen, you
can't disguise greatness. Like listen, Let's be honest. If you
pull like the hottest girl in the world in a
pair of rip sweatpants, she's still hot. The Lions played
like trash and they're they're just still good. They five
ways sustain ball games? Can I throw one out there
because I think it's being overlooked because they played the
(18:15):
trash bottom of the barrel cowboys. I hate to give
Philly credit because they're obnoxious and Philly, you gotta love
how passionate they are. Are the Eagles the most overlooked
team in the NFL this year? Even here on our show,
We're guilty of it. You said you're excited about the
game this Thursday. But we don't talk a lot about
(18:36):
the Eagles.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
I think it's because they took such a step back
last season that we've been waiting to see if they're legit.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Probably excited about it. Danny Bingo was his name. It
not honestly, you're right because the Bingo they went to
the Super Bowl. They were one Jalen Hurts fumble away
from beating Mahomes.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
The next year.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
If you remember, they come out hot, then all of
a sudden they got hold as hell. I remember in
the wildcard game they look like a bottom tier team
against the Bucks, and it one's like, man, Nick Siriannis,
you're gonna stick around. And it was almost like the
world had figured out Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia. You know,
there's seven and two and looking strong. Seven and two,
(19:16):
you're on pace for a thirteen plus win season. Here,
there's no shame in Philadelphia's game with Saquon and when
their wide receivers are healthy Aj Brown, DeVante Smith. This
is a team that, like, are we forgetting that it
was a year and a half ago that they were
the best team in the NFC? You know, before we
get too far ahead and past the Lions game that
(19:38):
we just talked about. I'm guilty too, Covino because, as
a Niner said, what do I say? Oh, when the
Niners are healthy and clicking, the only two might worry
about is the Lions. Check that maybe the Eagles too,
So I think Eagles are overlooks. So if you're a
Philly fan, I feel you you're getting overlooked. But again
back to the Lions game, Jake Bates brought the boom
(20:00):
again right at the end with that field goal. We
saw like a lot of field goal moments, the barely
make it come through, get blocked. It was like a
lot of exciting field goal moments. He came through again.
But the I like the story of just a few
months ago. He was a brick, was a brick salesman
or something. He was laying brick and now he's, you know,
(20:21):
a hero in Detroit. You can't look past that. That
makes me say hmmm, because there's so many people out
there like man, they're.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Just waiting for their time. Did just wait for their day?
But that's awesome. Would you say he brought the boom?
Speaker 1 (20:34):
I thought so, Rich, your boy Moody was kicking bricks. Yeah,
Rich went from a band moody to a good moody. Yeah,
I was in a super bad moody. But speaking of
the guys that bring the boom, AJ and Big Justice,
yeah they bring the boom. I saw someone post on
social media that they saw him at the airport and
the like, yeah they are, and of course in character
they're like boo, I'm so intrigued by why them?
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Well why? I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
That's what makes him intrigued, all right, But Jake Bates
was doing that dance a few weeks ago because he's
come through. But he came through again barely. But again
the story this week after seeing his heroic moment was
just a few weeks ago, he was Yeah, he laying pipe,
was laying bricks bricks. Yeah, maybe lame pipe tin.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
I want to talk niners in a second, but let's
say what's up to Tam You're on the show covin
on Rich What is your observation?
Speaker 8 (21:28):
Hey, guys, what's I don't know how much you all
are familiar with the Big twelve in the Oklahoma State
Cowboys football, but their downfall needs to be studied in
the lab like their own seven.
Speaker 7 (21:38):
Right on the Big twelve.
Speaker 8 (21:39):
They were in the championship game last season, they have
a Heisman candidate but their own seven. And last week
I don't know if y'all know that, Mike Gundy called
the fans poor that need they need to pay their bills.
So what's what's going on there in the still water?
But hey, I'm still here, the loyal and true and
go folks.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
I tell you I I can tell you. For college football.
We had some friends that were the old Miss Georgia
game and they said that scene was insane and they
have a graduate hotel there. That was one of the
games we were thinking about going to and I was like,
oh man, that would have been fun.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Yeah. Got to give props to Lance Kivin.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Yeah, Lance, what a uh, what a what a weekend
of just football and college football couple up Miami laws.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
So yeah, the things are getting shaken up.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
In the world of college football. Now, Danny g alluded
to your forty nine ers. I do want to get
to the conflict on the sidelines. I want to get
to that and ask your opinion on that retchet to
forty nine ers guy. But I had something that made
me say this weekend, it's misleading headlines, and that's always
a thing, but there was two that really stood out
(22:46):
to me. One of them was this Patrick Mahomes story
of him speaking to the refs on the sideline asking
asking for a heads up. Patrick Mahomes was caught on
a hot mic asking a rep if they can let
him know when a defender is close to him. That
was sort of the online twitter gossip. It goes along
the narrative of like the restaret on my homes right,
(23:09):
and you read stuff like that and it circulates quickly
on social media and like no way.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Then you hear the sound bite and you're like, no way.
Start from the Broncos comes from the Dolphins game of
two flag thrown on the play. The guy's.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
Clearly he's talking about Taylor lining up like this is
not about defenders getting too close to him in that
way and asking the rest for a heads up. So
you're like, that's misleading because he did say that. He
said that, and he heard it on the mic instantly
taken out of context, but it's completely taken out of
context and again a misleading headline. And then there was
(23:59):
a story worry about Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys Michael Parsons.
The headline reads, Mike McCarthy can leave and go wherever
he wants. Sounds aggressive all up, MICHAEH. Parsons, Like, damn man,
that's cold. He's just he's just saying it like that
he could leave and go whenever he wants. And of
course you read that and you make this assessment or assumption,
(24:21):
and that's not really what he was alluding to at all.
I don't know if you heard it, but uh, take
a listen. This is what Mike Michael Parsons actually said.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
That's what both of my pay grade about. If Mike
is coaching again next year. But you know, all coaching
side coaching, you know, Mike can leave and go wherever
he wants. But the guys, I you know, I kind
of feel bad for his guys like Zach Martin and
guys who might be on their last year, on their
way out, you know, because that's what I wanted to
hold a trophy for. You know, you want to win
games and do great things with those type of legends
(24:50):
who put in more time and work Mike McCarthy ever did.
So those are the kind of guys that I have
so much sympathy and hurt for it.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
I mean, it does sound like this the work goes on,
but I don't think he meant it like he could
even go wherever he wants the way you read it,
you know, it's more like he could go and do
his thing.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
He still has time in this league.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
I feel bad for guys that don't have a lot
of time in this league that we're trying to win.
But the originally yeah, in meme form, with just the quote,
it's like, yo, he could go anywhere he wants. That
sounds like almost like yeah, he can leave and go
wherever he wants, almost like beat it. Yeah, And that's
not necessarily what he was saying. There was a compliment
saying like if it doesn't work out here long term, hey,
like macarthy could go coach anywhere. I feel bad our
(25:34):
season is disappointing. I feel bad for the veterans that
this might be exactly so again, nothing new, right, but
but but this could headline could McCarthy go coach anywhere
in the NFL he wanted to? You can leave her
and go wherever the hell you want. Now, see it's bad.
How do you interpret that, like get out of here?
(25:54):
Or Danny you're so good, you could find a gig anywhere.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
Right, But he did make it sound like players work
harder than the coaches he did.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
At the end.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Yeah, he did say that, but again, when you break
it down from the beginning, it's not what I thought
he meant or said. So we will get into other storylines.
Of course, I have to touch on the Niners coming
up normal or trouble in paradise. When teammates are squabbling,
can you sometimes just say, hey man, these are gladiators
(26:23):
and warriors on the field, or do you say, I've
never seen Tom Brady lead like that?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Really, I've seen Tom Brady to help him out. I've
never seen him put his hands on something. Next, See,
I disagree, So we'll get to that. Disagree I've never
seen have you. We we'll get to why Deebo Samuel
is awesome?
Speaker 2 (26:38):
Next. All right, let's go to Dan Buyer for an
update dB. What's going ADB?
Speaker 6 (26:42):
Hey guys, Cowboys had coach Mike McCarthy had other things
to say, including Cooper Rush is going to remain their
starting quarterback for Week eleven against the Houston Texans Bears,
said coach Matt Eberflus sticking with Caleb Williams as the
team's starting quarterback.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
It's important that.
Speaker 9 (26:56):
We take time to make sure to make those decisions
and make the right decisions that's for the Bears, best
for the Bears going forward, for this week and then
going into the future. So I think that's the most
important thing that we do, that we have some steadiness here.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
All right, welcome back to the show. And Buddy, a
big salute to the veterans, to my brother in law
Clayton too, who's in the Air Force. My sister is
a military wife. All the veterans, we salute you. Fox
Sports Radio Nation, we salute you. Cavino and rich on
Fox Sports Radio. We saluted military wives last week as
they were responsible for nachos.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
That's right, Yeah, I remember that on National Nacho it
was the military wives that.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
It was a Naia, Nacho Libra, whatever is his name,
was a nacho Ignacio Anaya there it was, and he
was making a late night snack for a bunch of
military wives in a military town and he cut up tortillas,
fried them and put toppings on them.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Hence nachos.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
I mean, I want to give military wives some credit,
but isn't it theo knock after military wife? Alight, So
we're live from the tyraq dot com studio. Talk to
me about my forty nine ers talk to me like lovers, do.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
You talk to me about your forty nine? Barely one?
My Homer thought is this, let's talk about Holker Mayfield,
stiff arm and Bosa? What the hell is that? So sick?
Speaker 1 (28:21):
If there's not a person on planet Earth that loves
football that doesn't at least respect the fire and passion
of Baker Mayfield. Yeah, he was of a punk when
he first came in the league, and you know, maybe
maybe he rubbed the few the wrong way, but at
this stage of the game, Baker represents to.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Me hardworking, figure it out, the man he.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Wanted to be, and now he's executing and he just
so happens lost his best receivers and he's just battling now.
But the fact that he could stiff arm Nick Bosa
and somehow continue that play unreal to me. And as
they said, that's why the team loves playing behind him.
The dude just is always fighting and I feel no
(29:02):
disrespect Danyg like that's what Gardner Minshew should be or
tries to be. He's like that kind of guy, just
not quite Mayfield.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
Earlier in the hour, you know how you said Kyler
Murray got woken up by being smashed on that sack.
I wish Gardner Minshew could get sacked like that, not injured, right, right, sall?
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah, like play for your life, like your life's depending
on it, right to me as a ninercent And we're
gonna go over the whole moody and debo thing. But
I watched this team very closely, and I'm sure we
all watch our teams a little closer than just the
way you watch other games. I've always been such a
huge Kyle Shanahan fan, but there's some lack of discipline
(29:44):
or execution or something. This team is too good player
for player on paper the roster. They're not as injured
as you thought. Yeah, Drake Greenlaw's coming back. You know
you lost Ayuk, but every team's banged up. This team
is too healthy in this moment to sneak by the
Bucks twenty three to twenty in a game that should
(30:05):
have been way more lopsided it was. It was tough
to watch, and they snuck away with the w They're
five and four. They play Seattle next week, and I
expect the Niners to win that game. But I look
at them and say, what, what's doing well?
Speaker 2 (30:18):
I mean there's special teams are off.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
They had a bad day, bad moody, as you said,
But again he came through at the end.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
He's good.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
They put me in a bad moody if they did
not win that game. I know he's a young kid
and they signed them to a deal a couple of
years ago, but coming off injury too. So don't you
think it was just like a bad Everyone has a
bad day. Yeah, but I don't think can you can
your field goal kicker? Haven't if he would have missed
that last one? Oh, if he was zero for four
from that range, is that a loser job? In the
(30:48):
NFL type of week, it would have been at least
a brawl in your locker room. I just to me, yeah,
he as you said, Kavino, perhaps he saved his job
and just made everything okay and chalked it up to hey,
he's coming on an injury week by making that field goal.
But the forty nine ers were playing with fire there.
They lose that game, they're four and five. Things are
still not right in the Bay Area, and there's a
(31:11):
lot of forty nine ers that spoke about the little scuffle.
Taber Pepper is the long snapper. Jake Moody's the kicker.
Just for people that don't know the names of a
kicker and a long snapper, we all know Debo Deebo
gets in the face and he sort of pushes back
by the face mask. Taber Pepper the long snapper, and
(31:31):
the initial report is Deebo was pretty much saying, yo,
Special Teams, did I see it wrong? Was it the
face mask? I'm taking your word for it. It was
pretty much a lock the f in Deebo. Who's a
competitors like yo, lock in yo, Jake Moody, We're gonna
break him down in a second. If you watch the
(31:51):
first episode of the documentary leading up to the Tyson
Jake Paul fight countdown, Tyson Paul.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
He the manufactured ki I'm a natural born killer with
iced tea. Yeah, the narration is great. That's so good.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Iced tea perfect voice for it. It aggregated me to
watch Jake Paul try to play Nintendo because he wasn't
working it right.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
But we all knew if you're a kid of the eighties.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
You're like, dude, you gotta hold it down on another
tape or press it down a certain way. He was
having a hard time getting the Nintendo to work, and
watching Jake Paul play Tyson's punch Out for the first time, I.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Was like, this guy, I was hating him even more.
I can't believe he's only twenty seven. That kid.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
I looked like a little baby boy with a cherub
face when I was twenty seven.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
He lived a lot of life.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yeah, like, he looks way old for twenty seven, but
still not as old as Iron Mike, who's fifty eight.
Can't wait Friday an exciting week and again Veterans Day.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
So we salute you.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
But let's wrap up rich things that made you go, Hm,
you want to wrap up your thoughts about the forty
nine er, because I do want to talk to Steelers
real quick. Yea, yeah, yeah, dude, Steelers. You were real
hyped on this game, and you got me hyped on
this game.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
It was I think.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
One of the best games of the weekend fort no
doubt for sure. Again with Russell Wilson of all people
stepping up too. Like, you know, we joked like Fountain
of Youth that he really find he found it. Aaron
Rodgers didn't find it. Russell Wilson found it and play
that one. Play to Mike Williams, mister unlimited looks like
(33:24):
he got You're right like a little silicippy sip of
the Fountain of View.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Real man.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yes, I think it's a great story and we can't
go unnoticed here on the show. Well, I want to
dive into it more because there's a couple plays in
that game that need to be discussed. But to wrap
up the Niners, like you said, Jade, this player's involved here.
Jake Moody is your field goal kicker, k Moore Pepper
is the long snapper, and of course Debo Deebo Samuel
(33:50):
gets a little aggravated from what I hear. He was saying, Yo,
lock the FN yo guys, come on lock in Special
Teams is losing this game, and Deebo said he lost
his temper. Take to listen to Deba, No, No, I
didn't eve get like that, but just like frustrated and
the hit a battle, you know, really close game and
I kind of got out of care go a little bit.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
But I'll talk to the movie and you know, we'll
get past it.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
I think he had a little dog in him, you know,
a little motivation to go out there and make the
field goals.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
And I was talking to him at get first like
I wouldn't say nothing like crazy to him. I was
just kind of frustrating in the time.
Speaker 8 (34:22):
But you know, he went out didn't won the game
before us, and you know he wasn't bothered by it.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
So we know when moved Pasty, it was probably frustrated.
And he's saying, listen, I.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Got it heat of the moment, you're in a battle.
But still he grabbed his teammate's neck. I looked again,
it's sort of like his his chin guard, but his neck.
It wasn't his face mask. That's a bad look. I'm
all for leadership, and I looked at taking in this ship.
I've never seen great leaders do that.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
I love to me.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
I've seen Tom Brady ell. I've seen Tom Brady throw iPads.
I've never seen him put his hands on one of
his teammates. Maybe maybe on the sideline. Maybe it's my
eyes as a forty nine Ers fan, it looked like
a tickle like you take.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
So I'm gonna show you, right, now. Yeah, I'm sure
he was trying to tickle you know.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
I really there's so many days I want to tickle
rich Maybe I might so mad I want to tickle you.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
No, I feel like debo, let me watch it again. Yeah,
I mean it's a push.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
He pushes him to watch watch so he gives him
the I mean that's just disrespect in front of the nation.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Oh all right to me, neck, that's a neck.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
To me, it looks like you're like, come on, buddy,
focus up, Tickle, tickle. It's not a shin neck push mush.
Maybe it was, yeah, but there's no face mask. Moody,
who's the forty nine Ers draft pick? They drafted a
kicker a couple of years ago. And if you remember,
until Harrison Bucker hit one in the Super Bowl, Moody,
for I believe, in an hour of his life, held
the record for longest field goal on a Super Bowl
(35:44):
and he was injured. He came back, you could say rushed.
But when your team is backs against the wall, you're
four and four and under, you know, under delivering. You
can't miss three field goals like that. The Niners out
play the Bucks and you wouldn't have been able to tell.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
And here's what Jake Moody said about the little scuffle.
Speaker 10 (36:06):
Yeah, it's you know, it's an emotional game and stuff
like that. Half is all the time and one.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
So that's that's all Mars there doesn't need to be
he the moment, if it happens. I do want to
make those kicks at the end of the day. So
that's that's all I'm focused on.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
I mean, he's saying, no apology needed. I need to
make those kicks heat of the battle. He's a field
goal kicker. That's his job. I'm okay and I and
I think, uh, a lot of us who don't none
of us play professional sports.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
In this room.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
We don't realize that these guys are in the battle.
They're they're in the zone. You're gonna you're gonna get
in the little arguments.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Speak for yourself.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Rich if Poe go Ball would have taken off, would
have been in the X Games.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
I know the show.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
Yeah, you know one thing though, it's cliche for him
to say, Oh, things like that happen all the time
in the heat of the battle. We have one hundred
cameras on the field at every game. I don't know
about you, I haven't seen a player do that to
his kicker before.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
We've seen wide receivers, but putting their finger on people's
chest on the sideline like they want the ball, give
me the ball, Coordinators yelling and people being separated.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
It happens.
Speaker 5 (37:13):
I'm not saying that, you know, because we've all wanted
to ring a kicker's neck before.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
You have one job, right, but you're not supposed to
do it. And Debo actually did it.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Yeah, but and there's nothing wrong with igniting the team
and getting her to be fired up or showing that
you care. That's not the best approach.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
I'm sure that.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Look, they can move past it, Rich, they can move
past it. I don't think it's a good sign.
Speaker 5 (37:32):
No, but Rich, in the heat of the battle, Okay,
we do a high level national radio show, and if
we got into it over something during a commercial break,
we could not put our hands on each other. Yeah,
I don't know how you come back from playing.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
A physical game. I will say this, you no disrespect
to kickers. But I think a long snapper and a kicker,
I think it's impossible for them to split the locker
room because I like, do you know if it was
Nick Bosa and McCaffrey, or if perty was having words
(38:07):
with you know.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
You just said kickers don't matter. Essentially pretty much, that's
what you said.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
Well, you know, think about Fred Warner and you know
Deebo had some beef.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
You'd be like, oh, no.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
I guess it's not the type of people to divine
a life is Anyone could be like, you know, man,
I really got the walm. Yeah, but it doesn't make
it right. It doesn't make it right. And it could
be a learning experience, could be something that brings them closer,
But most of the time it's not right. When things
like that happen to get gets physical amongst teammates, that's
not a good look. But you pulled one out. Next week,
(38:42):
rats to you. And I did like Bosa's dance moves.
I like his dance moves, his little trump move y Trump.
He did get fined eventually, by the way, for the
Maga hat. By the way, the forty nine Ers host
the Seahawks another Rich Davis Dan Buyer battle next week.
Niners are six and a half point favorites at home,
which feels right. That feels about right your thoughts. Fox
Sports Radio Nation on the forty nine Ers. Is their
(39:04):
trouble in Paradise. You know, based on the body language,
the fighting, the scuffle rich as Rich said, the little
tickle fight that they had on the sideline, They look
a little aggressive to me.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
But again it is the heat of the moment, heat
of the battle. I get that. Now.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
The Steelers, they beat the Commanders twenty eight, twenty seven.
Commanders have a nice game coming up this Thursday.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
The Steelers are seven and two. We said last week,
you know, if they win this game, we're gonna have
to start including them into a different category of we
got to take them serious. Now with Russell Wilson leading
the squad and Mike Williams with that nice touchdown, wasn't
that like his first reception? That was a thirty two
yard past that Russell Wilson just like dropped right into
(39:50):
his hands. That really showed that man he's got taught.
Russ lost the rust, He's got his touch still. That
was nice and they fed off.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Of that play.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
And you see him on the side. You see him
hyping up the team and getting props. You're seeing Russ
being treating it a little bit of respect. You see
him dancing he's getting that swag back a little bit.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
Yeah, he's dancing a little bit. Look he went Carlton.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Yeah, but he went from we were joking clowning on
him last year to oh man, he's getting this team
hyped up. Now people are buying into it. This is
the guy. He could be as corny as he wants.
Let's if he's winning like that, you want to keep
it real. It could be a nice comeback story for him.
Do you want to keep it real? I am keeping
it real. Look, you can clan on the guy, but
when he starts producing and they're winning like that, you
(40:33):
gotta also give props.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Let's keep it real.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
Then go ahead, because they scored in the fourth quarter,
and you could give credit to their defense, but the
commanders did not. Can I be Frank here? I Frank
Whosol Frank Gore? Okay, I think that I didn't like
the call on the I think on fourth do I
think ERT's I think the Ford progress. I am shocked
(40:59):
that they were like turnover downs. They did the replay.
It took forever. I really thought that because how many times,
Danny g have you seen a player and they give
him some bs like Ford momentum, like you know, you
know what I'm.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
Saying, like, yeah, it was really close, man, it.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Progress I feel like took him more when he came
back to the ball. Yeah, I thought in that moment.
I know you don't make calls based on the moment,
but to me, I'm shocked that it was turnover on down.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
That it was first down. I did not.
Speaker 5 (41:26):
Yeah, the way Hanson described it was it looked short
by an inch and he's like, if he could have
just got his shoulder all the way around.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Maybe I was swayed by Hanson's breakdown. Yeah, see, I
was not watching that.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
Yeah, And I think the other layer is is I
did not You know, they got it right, mister Unlimited
who was dancing and you know, playing like Russ of
you know the Super Bowl winnings, dude, you know Seahawks
a sad Russell Wilson. We saw the past few years
that was fired up.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
That Russell Wilson got the oldest trick in the book.
He got a guy to jump on fourth and one
with a hard count. That rookie, How does that happen?
Rookie or not? He'll have to live with that moving forward.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Danny, it's you know when you do things, you know,
when you do things at are pure, Like let's go
through the motions and one out of one hundred times
or one out of a thousand times, all I could
think is, all right, Washington's gonna get the ball back.
Let's see what happens. They'll have like forty seconds. Can
you believe Russ got this.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Guy to jump? No? I couldn't.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
And like, like we said, Danny g made the point
before all these games that came down to the end,
you're like, oh, that's what made this week so great.
So many close games that came down to the last play.
Then let me ask you last minute. Then let me
ask you the question, and we'll move along, wrap up
things that made you go. Props to Russell Wilson and
(42:46):
the Steelers who were seven and two. Now, it was
a really great week ten of the NFL Night. So
if you want to be real talk, does anyone in
this room if you're so high on Russ and you know,
not high, but you gotta call it out. We were
quick to have fun at his expense, and he gave
(43:06):
us a lot of ammunition, for sure. But when you
see this guy delivering the way he did this weekend
and he has been all right, man, you know, maybe uh,
maybe it's the turnaround for help. This is one of
those times with the NFL. God bless them because they're
giving us, by pure coincident dance, everything we could possibly
want in this moment because week eleven, know who plays
(43:29):
the Ravens at Pittsburgh. So this Russell Wilson, Mike Williams, Tomlin,
great defense, this team that is shocking everyone at seven
and two. They host, they host the Ravens, so they're
home terrible towels, Pittsburgh home game and the Ravens in
(43:51):
a terrible towel. This is a Ravens currently minus three
and a half. So they got the Ravens as a
three and a half point favorite. Maybe another good battle,
maybe a nice classic battle.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
This is nice. Call me crazy, something else to look forward.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
Toll me crazy, you buy a half a point, you
buy a point, give me Ravens minus two and a half.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
If you don't. If you think that.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
The Ravens can't beat the Steelers by a field goal,
that might be easy money in the bank. Rodney dangerfield stopped.
Does anyone honestly don't be a contrayer for the hell
of it. But does anyone genuinely feel like that Steelers will.
Speaker 2 (44:27):
Win that game? I mean, I don't know, Danny, but no.
Speaker 5 (44:32):
I could see them keeping it close though, because I
think their defense is legit.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
Dah, they do have a good legit defense. I was Samuel.
Speaker 11 (44:38):
I do remember watching the Steelers beat the Ravens last
year in a wonky game, so anything is possible. I
will just say this, Pennsylvania was a massive swing state
and their NFL teams are combined fourteen and four.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
So how about that they.
Speaker 11 (44:51):
Are the center of the releve NFL and political relevance universey.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Pennsylvania a fireplace to live these days.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
Let's wrap it up.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
We'll wrap it up with any other phone calls and
observations that you may have, guys, But the Bears with
the loss to the Patriots, any final thoughts on this?
And Danny G was saying, how you know the story
is that Iberflus leaves Caleb Williams in there to get
banged up and everything. That was just a lopsided game.
They had nothing for the Patriots. What's going on?
Speaker 5 (45:20):
Well, the play calling has been atrocious. I was amused
listening and watching clips from Chicago's sports talk radio stations
over over the past twenty four hours, flues they've wanted
his head now for a few weeks. Also, there's been
problems with the OC, and you remember last year he
picked an OC that didn't work out. He picked this OC,
(45:41):
and so the Chicago fans are feeling like, do not
let this OC just fall on the sword Ebra Flus,
you need to fall on the sword too. The fans
are really really just upset because they had such high
hopes and.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
They scored three points against the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (45:57):
Yeah, that's unacceptable for a Caleb Williams led offense.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
You just can't.
Speaker 5 (46:02):
Yeah, you can't come out so flat in so many
different games this season. And you know, and then if
you're not going to protect your franchise quarterback, your young
star QB at the end of a blowout, That's that's
where I feel like the Chicago fans just had it yesterday.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
So that also made us say, hmmm, well, any other thoughts.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
Let us know.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
You could always chime in at Covino and Rich at
Fox Sports Radio. There are times in life, not just
in sports, right where you could lose your composure. Let's
say you're a musician on stage. Let's say your Deebo Samuel.
If you he never loses his composure? Does he have
a tackle fight and I'm sticking by it. Let's say
you're Debo, come on, special teams, get in the game,
(46:44):
tackle tackle. There are times in life some people experience
this in the bedroom with the ladies, Rich, what if
he said please? Because you think security guys should say please?
Speaker 2 (46:55):
I do.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
I don't know why you don't, Rich, And I thought
about the Taylor Swift story. Did you about the Taylor
Swift story? After the chiefs win, security is like, all right, everybody,
stay back, stay back because Taylor Swift is coming in.
And she stopped and she she pulled rank on the
security guys. She goes, stay back please, And Rich was like, yeah, yes,
they need to be polite. I'm like, or they're just
(47:15):
doing their job making room to protect her or worry
about like being polite. Danny g you got a little son,
don't you teach Cole? Aren't you gonna teach him to
have manners? Guess what, when he's security, then he's just
trying to do a job. So security is supposed to
be a holes where they being a holes or did
they just say and I'm quoting it, Hey, everybody, stay back,
please please Maybe Deebo should say please next time, Hey,
(47:36):
special teams, please step up. Please, guys, please don't.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
I'm begging you natural.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
You're fighting against manners with his a generation of like, well,
these are high pressure moments and people are human, you know,
and we don't got time for pleasantries and politeness.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
I think you're holding a door.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
That's me being polite if you I'm doing security and
there's a bunch of idiots trying to get at Taylor Swift.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
Hey, stay back.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
I don't need to ask for you want a cherry
on top? You know What's it's ridiculous like this is.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
In the moment.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
You know, today is other than veterans. It's National ice
cream Sunday Day. So I do want a cherry on top.
In fact, well rich, you know what, just can you
move on?
Speaker 2 (48:20):
Please? We'll see I said please, can you just like
get to the point please?
Speaker 1 (48:24):
By saying please now please, now, you made me want
to be cooperative. Like if you're at a bar and
the bouncer in the alight, I'm gonna give you two
bouncerscher bouncer number one.
Speaker 2 (48:34):
Hey, id's out. Please all right, thank you, you're good
to go. Have a good night.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
You're here to get the place moving forward. Let's get
off the night. But why can't you also include kindness?
It's not being a dork.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
He had such a weenie.
Speaker 5 (48:48):
I had an electronics teacher back in high school and
he at the beginning of the year he told me
in the class. He said, you could say whatever you
would like to me, as long as you have a
smile on your face and you say please and thank
you or end it with with all due respect. That's
that's exactly what this kid.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
This guy's throwing out the manners out the window, typically
like Jersey Yankees fans. But if something God forbid happened
to Taylor Swift, who's the first guy to get fired.
Maybe you're a little too polite to these people. Stand back.
He didn't curse it. Anybody more flies with honey. Yeah,
get out of here, dude, this is his CURDI gig
well back to the bank. Hire mister Rogers to protect
(49:26):
the Taylor Swift. You know what people respect, mister Rogers. Yeah,
because you're watching too much Bluey.
Speaker 2 (49:31):
I will say, though, it is.
Speaker 11 (49:32):
If you want someone to get on your side and
do what you need them to do, saying please and
thank you, it just does work.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
Wonders, It's kind of it's kind of amazing, you know
much of idiots, but with the scream and that tail swift,
you don't need to see say please? Do you know what?
You know? Why can you? Gets hassled all the time.
I've seen him answer his phone, but like an insurance.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
Company or phone, what do you want?
Speaker 2 (49:51):
What do you want?
Speaker 1 (49:52):
Closing, I'm supposed to take kindly to scam likely plan
scam oh I sam like hell, oh no, it's great.
It's standy that you're interrupting me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
you know what. No, no, no, it's okay, but call
yourself kindly? Can you please stop?
Speaker 2 (50:09):
Respect? Thanks please, thanks?
Speaker 1 (50:11):
By you know what, every time I get someone to
do a favor for me, Cavino attributes it to oh
look at you, cheesy white guy, or no, just chain
about that kind to people like if Covino needed to
change your flight, it's called being phony and being just
real with you. He would call the airline and be like, yo,
what can you do for me? And what would you do?
Speaker 2 (50:32):
Kids? You know you gotta ask, you gotta tell.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
Maniac fans please please step back the jay Swifts coming in.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Please. It was in the tunnel, to please. These aren't
swifties in a tunnel anyway, Dude, Debo was your, that
was your. My final thought was.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
The Bears Putts, and it was that we all talked
about that Hail Mary gone wrong versus Washington. Can we
talk about what's happened since then? So Danny, real quick,
I know we gotta break. They were four and two.
They were one broken up pass away from being five
and two and being right in the thick of things
in the NFC North. They went from possibly five and
(51:11):
two that ball not batted down Hail Mary happens. So
instead of five and two, now they're four and three.
And since that demoralizing ending four and five, they were
four and three, And since then I was Sam, I'm
listening to patience.
Speaker 11 (51:25):
Please, I'm sorry, thank you, I will listen better. You're welcome,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
Since then, with all the respect, they've dropped two in
row twenty nine to nine, nineteen to three, outscored.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
Forty eight twelve. No tuddies for Caleb Williams. It seems
like that tip ball. I know it sounds crazy, but
at the time we did say this could be a
season ending demoralizer because they're in a division with the Lions,
who look unbeatable even when they quarterback throws five interceptions.
The Packers look solid and Minnesota found the way to
win yesterday in a bad game. So when you're in
that division, no room for an error like that. And
(51:59):
I Tice said it when it happens. By the way,
Minnesota didn't even score a touchdown on that game. Yeah,
so they barely.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
No, you're you're and you're absolutely right. Rich. Since that moment,
everything has come apart at the.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
Seams because of one bad play there. Thank you, Danny
J say thank you guys. We got more Kavino and
Rich live from the tire rack dot Com studio.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
You know sings this your favorite Daniel Powder. Daniel Powder. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
Remember you got kicked off of American Idol back in
the day and they're like, hey, here's a montage of
your time.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
On the show. No really, I remember you talking about
it though.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
The number one one hit wonder of the two thousands
is he powered a lot YEP about his bad day,
pouts about his bad day. Daniel Powder, I thought he
just had fresh wave on. Sam play the rimshot on yourself.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
Caleb Williams played this all day yesterday.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
And Moody, did you say the greatest one hit wonder
of the two thousands was voted? Yeah, so I saw
I would debate that all day. Just give me some
time to think about it. This is the best one
hit Wonder Man in two thousand.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Must have sucked, dude. There's a lot of great two
thousand songs.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
One hit Wonders, crazy Town Butterfly you'd probably say is
one of them, right, I'd say that's better than that.
That song was the number one hit. That's why I think,
really man two thousands? Boy who knows more than me
about the two thousand? Yeah, not debating, you know, I'm
just saying a sad any other before we play our game.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
Any other observations that you want to get off your
chest from Week ten of the NFL. I think we
went over it all.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
It wasn't really action packed, but it was an action
packed weekend. We reaped all the benefits. Maybe some other
observations In the world of I think old people are
having like a renaissance between the Golden Bachelorette and the
Martha Stewart documentary.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
I think and Russell.
Speaker 1 (53:46):
Wilson, I think it's to say old people have a place,
you know what.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
I find him entertaining.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
This week, Bills continue to roll, which, by the way,
creates another great matchup for a week eleven.
Speaker 2 (53:57):
And we'll get to later in the week. But right,
people have a play.
Speaker 1 (54:00):
We talked you know about how Week eleven is in Fuego.
As far as what you're expecting, I just give you
three games to look forward to. An the old player game.
I love when you do this.
Speaker 2 (54:10):
Sure. Ravens at Steelers. Oh, that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
I think I'm putting my house on the Ravens in
this game. That's a good one, man, Ravens Steelers.
Speaker 2 (54:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
We got, of course another telling game. Chiefs at Bills.
Speaker 2 (54:25):
Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (54:25):
Oh yeah, that's uh Thursday, that's next week. That's the idea,
that's next week. The line starts with the Chiefs being
the underdog. It's wild, right, So Bill's minus two and
a half. And I mentioned this is some fun fact,
like no undefeated team's been the underdog at this part
of the season ever, maybe once, so uh, Chiefs and
Bills Ravens hosting I'm sorry, Pittsburgh hosting the Ravens, and
(54:49):
it all kicks off Thursday night with Commander's Eagle.
Speaker 2 (54:51):
So three great games.
Speaker 5 (54:53):
Rich, the Chiefs would be just the third nine and
zero or better team since the nineteen seventy merger to
close as underdogs.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
That's tough, right.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
I mean, they've been winning games because they're good. But man,
the Bills at home, that's a toughie.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
All right, let's do this. Mahome Showtime Tribune, the mostly
lovable Patrick Mahomes. Truth is, I want everybody to love me,
not just the reps. It's time for some NFL trivia. Okay,
I'm here. I'm here, Yes, we know you're here, all.
Speaker 10 (55:22):
Right, Patrick Mahomes here to play Showtime Homes trivia.
Speaker 2 (55:26):
I'm here.
Speaker 5 (55:27):
There is Jerny walk in broke Patrick into the main studio.
Speaker 2 (55:33):
You want a game? Hi, I went running on the field.
I couldn't believe it either. That was great. I love
that you.
Speaker 10 (55:39):
I cut your arms right, You're like, yeah, I was
like that was great, man, that was really great.
Speaker 4 (55:44):
You know what.
Speaker 10 (55:45):
To be honest, I didn't think we had that game,
Andy REI didn't think we had that game where we were.
Speaker 2 (55:49):
All just really surprised. Now you're an underdog. Ug we
just have for the first time time ten and out
next week at Buffalo. Can't wait. It'sna be a big week.
It's gonna be a big week for us and Jake Paul.
Speaker 10 (56:02):
I'm just putting it out there. Jake Paul wins, youth wins,
Jake Paul wins.
Speaker 2 (56:06):
Ah, all right, all right, let's meet the contestants. Twenty
four time winner Rich Davis. Oh yeah, I wasn't done.
Speaker 10 (56:11):
I just wanted to thank the refs for giving me
a heads up on the defenders yesterday. You know, I
just think they're the unspoken, unsung heroes of the game.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
So shout out to the refs.
Speaker 5 (56:19):
Yeah, all right, fifteen time champion Dan Beyer. Right, hello, hello,
and on our CNR studio lines looking to win a
stayless steel Swiggy.
Speaker 2 (56:28):
Let's go to Pennsylvania. Brendan. What's up, Brendan? Hey, how
are we doing? We're good man.
Speaker 1 (56:33):
I was SAYM just pointing out how your state is,
uh is hot right now. You got some great sports
teams and you were like number one swing state in
the election, so like Pennsylvania is the place. Huh yeah, absolutely,
and I'd be careful.
Speaker 7 (56:44):
I'm bet in that house because Lamar Jackson, he's unbelieve
two in six are one and seven in his career
against Putsburgh.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Oh man, all right, I did look it up the house.
I looked it up.
Speaker 11 (56:54):
And the Ravens actually lost the Steelers twice last year.
They got swept, oh boy, seventeen to ten, both games
seventeen to ten.
Speaker 5 (57:00):
Hey, Brendan, your name is gonna be your buzzer, so
grab your handset for us. Okay, here are the rules
for show Time ma Homes NFL Trivia. First contestant with
two correct answers is the champ. If there's a tie,
we have a tiebreaker question. Your name is your buzzer,
like I said, but you do have to wait until
all three possible answers are read. If there's two wrong
answers in row, we move on to the next question.
Speaker 2 (57:19):
Are you ready? Can I add one more role?
Speaker 10 (57:21):
Like when I'm here on a Monday, last minute after
a big win?
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Can we not talk about Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson?
Speaker 7 (57:28):
There?
Speaker 2 (57:29):
You know?
Speaker 1 (57:29):
Fa?
Speaker 2 (57:29):
Okay? Fair enough? All right? Round one, it's all you
all right, Round one.
Speaker 10 (57:34):
I'm here, it's Veterans DA, Happy Veterans Day. Patrick mahomes here.
What was I once quoted saying about armstrang? Hey, you
can have the big arm, and that's good, but it
doesn't help you necessarily win games. B What you may
lack an armstrang you can make up for with game
(57:56):
management skills. Or see, you could have an amazing arm,
but none of that matters in the end unless the
refs are looking out for you.
Speaker 2 (58:06):
Brended, Yes, Brendan, we'll go be no wrong. I'll go
for the stell. I don't even want to take doumble.
But a A is your answer? Rich on the board. Boom,
here you go.
Speaker 10 (58:21):
You get up a big arm, but it doesn't help
you necessarily win any gamess.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
Well, go to round two. All right, Round two.
Speaker 10 (58:29):
This is when Jake Paul starts laying in his jab
on Friday. If Tyson wins, he has to win by
the fourth round. I agree with you, all right. So
how much was the record setting fine that CBS paid
for the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction nipple quote unquote at
Super Bowl thirty eight A one point two million dollars
(58:50):
B five hundred and fifty thousand dollars or C two
point one million dollars.
Speaker 12 (58:55):
Brendan, Yeah, no, I thought, yeah, I'm gonna say B.
Speaker 2 (59:07):
But that's what I thought, Brendan said. Did he say B?
Speaker 7 (59:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (59:11):
I thought you's okay, Gregan.
Speaker 5 (59:15):
That's why I asked you to pick up your handset
so I could hear you clear.
Speaker 10 (59:18):
All right, we'll give you that about five hundred and
fifty thousand dollars sort.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
Of, you need to look back. That's all right, So
Rich and Brendan on the board day.
Speaker 10 (59:27):
By the way, anyone that thinks that was a wardrobe malfunction,
I was born yesterday.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
A couple of spring loaded. Well you don't have a
nipple ornaments. Yeah. I always on standby just in case.
Speaker 10 (59:36):
All right, So the ref to help you out yesterday.
Speaker 2 (59:40):
Yeah, that's not what happened. All right. We moved around three,
all right, round three.
Speaker 10 (59:45):
I'm here, Patrick Mahomes, and I know a lot about
MVP awards. Who is the last non quarterback to win
NFL MVP A Adrian Peterson, B, Lawrence Taylor or C.
Speaker 2 (59:57):
But Danny and Thomlinson damn oh, buyer got in there.
It's a yes, you know what year anyone?
Speaker 6 (01:00:08):
Is it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
Twelve? Oh? Yeah, that was before he did the whole
like hits his kids with a switch thing.
Speaker 5 (01:00:18):
Hitch, Brandan and Bayer all on the board. As we
go to round pushing Peter by the way. All right,
round four, three way time, three way time.
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
All right, it's a battle.
Speaker 10 (01:00:29):
This player holds the single season record for touchdown receptions
with twenty three. Is it a Shannon Sharp, B Randy
Moss or C Jerry Rice.
Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Brendan Brandon for the win? Did you say yes? Yeah? Man,
I had to celebrated this much since yesterday.
Speaker 5 (01:00:53):
All right, Brandon, congrats s field goal block. We're going
to mail out a shiny sea in our swiggy to
you in Pennsylvania.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Hey, you got next for one for the Buffalo game. Yeah,
thank you.
Speaker 10 (01:01:04):
I appreciate your Hey, thank you, Brandon. And uh, hey,
it's a pleasure. Usually I'm here on Tuesdays, but big
game yesterday, so figure out stop by but uh.
Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
We'll be ten and O next time.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
By Patrick later later, guys, speaking of by Patrick, speaking
of Randy Moss got fired? I can I give you
guys a bonus questions? We As we go to Dan
Buyer's Update. What song has the lyric? Catch the beat
running like Randy Moss? Catch the beat running like Randy Moss?
(01:01:37):
What two thousands? Speaking of the two thousands, what's Anniel Powder?
Any other brainbusters?
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Not true?
Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
We'll think about that. We'll go to dB front update.
What's up, Dan Bayer? Do you guys know the name
Jake Pope? Does it sound familiar Jake Pope?
Speaker 6 (01:01:51):
Yeah, it probably doesn't because you're not a huge college
football fans.
Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
Wait, hold on, Jake Pope, the politician. We're talking Jake Pope.
This safety from the University of Georgia, Jake Puppy, attorney
of law. Yea from that.
Speaker 6 (01:02:05):
We're talking about Jake Pope, the Georgia's safety who was
caught celebrating on the field with Old Miss fans after
Ole Miss beat Georgia on Saturday. It's a wacky video
when all of a sudden you're like, why is this
Georgia player jumping up and down after they just lost? Well,
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart saw the video and responded, today,
(01:02:27):
what an idiot?
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
I mean, what I mean, just stupid. I didn't see
it till today. But he's embarrassed about it. He's upset
about it. That's obviously a childhood friend of his knows
and hadn't seen him in forever, but just not real smart.
Speaker 6 (01:02:41):
Yeah, that was a bad look for the Georgia Bulldogs safety.
Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
It is the story dB that the Bulldogs safety someone
on Old Miss was his high school power or someone
in the crowd they were selling.
Speaker 7 (01:02:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:02:53):
I think it may have been a I don't even
know if it was another player, for it was a student,
but it was a quick pan of the of somebody
else running on the field. Obviously you're like, wait, why
is the guy in the Georgia you know? And he yeah,
it's it's kind of funny.
Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
But that's a great sound bite.
Speaker 1 (01:03:09):
By the way, let's let's sportsmanship and more just like
sid I behavior.
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
He should be the SEC Sportsman of the week for sure.
What a guy? Yeah, how about that?
Speaker 6 (01:03:19):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Some man? I found this Tyreek kill. Good to go tonight.
Speaker 6 (01:03:22):
He's active for the Dolphins as they face the Rams
on Monday Night.
Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
Football
