Speaker 1 (00:29):
Hello, welcome in side, Happy Friday, The Jason Smith Show
with my base friend Mike Harmon.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Well Dressed Hobo.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
For over forty years, tire racksmen open customers find the
right tires for how, what and where they drive. Shipped
fast and free backed by free Road, has a protection

dot Com is the way tire buying should be. I
gotta tell you, Mike, you know after c where the

(01:00):
Pistons and the Cavs sit right now Detroit with a
huge win tonight, their bench is incredible. One fifteen to
ninety four. We got another day of playoff Harden. But
let's deal with this first, seeing this series and seeing
how horribly the Pistons played in the last game, especially
how disinterested and cook they were at the end of
Game five, to come out and play like this in

(01:23):
game six, and for the Cavaliers to really just kind
of throw up on themselves here in game in game six,
you know, they shoot thirty nine percent. It's a close
out game. Donovan Mitchell is six for twenty, he's minus
twenty five. The big takeaway, the big ten of being
a and you're gonna say, don't say it. You're gonna say,
don't say it. You're gonna say don't, don't, don't, don't don't.
But I'm gonna say it because I gotta tell you

(01:43):
what I feel. It's hard to not look at this
Pistons Cavalier series and not think Nixon four, Nixon four,
Nixon four, Nixon four, nix in four. It's hard, Seriously,
it's hard to not look at this and go boy,
and yes, everything series is give. There's every different there's
every different parts of energy and matchups and how they're

(02:04):
different and how teams can, you know, getting a more
favorable one as the time goes on. I understand all
of that because I've seen a basketball game, but judging
by how the teams have played, The two best teams
in the playoffs this year have been the Thunder and
the Knicks. The best offense in the playoffs this year
has been the Knicks, and it's not even close. It's
hard for me to see the Pistons and the Cavaliers
winning a game at this point right now, where they

(02:25):
are just throwing punches, like it's like Rocky and Apollo
at the end of Rocky One, when they're they're all
just there. They can't even see out of their eyes,
and they're walking around the ring and one would punch
the other and then you wait five seconds and be
another punch Like that's kind of what Detroit and Cavaliers
look like right now. Wow.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
And then we get Game seven, so we get everything
we wanted and then some standing, staggering, punching shadows. Which
one do I hit the one in the middle, And
that's kind of where we're at this process. Points in
the paint bludgeoning by the Detroit Pistons, And I think
in the next series, I guess that becomes the big question.

(03:01):
Can you impose your will?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Will the.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Your New York Knicks shoot the lights out as they
have through the first couple rounds of the playoffs, you
gotta think at some point, as you like to say,
they get a bounce, and it's not just the you know, yodelin'
guy uh from the Prices right, that just keeps going
up because you know eventually he falls off too. So

(03:25):
is there for you know, a buster.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Game or two.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Karl Anthony Towns will need to revert to scoring Karl
Anthony Towns, which he has not had to do in
a while. At some point, you know, the facilitators all
find and good, but you know the guy, at least
on one side, from the Detroit side, we trust their
defense a bit more. The other is, of course, the
James Harden part of the equation. And we had a streak,

(03:49):
we had a streak of three great games in a row.
We tried to push for four and we failed.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Just the whole thing here, all right, But before we
get to Harden, is that I get you on the
bounce That takes up most of my thinking now is
what are the Knicks gonna get a bounce in the
next round of the Eastern in the Eastern Conference finals.
If they're gonna get a bounce, it's gonna be in
the NBA Finals, And it's gonna be Hey, welcome to
the finals by either the Spurs or more likely the Thunder.
But I don't see either of these teams suddenly, hey,

(04:18):
we're putting it all together right. The Pistons are having trouble.
They still can't rely on a second guy. I mean,
they had an incredible night tonight from their bench, which
is why they won this game. But that's not gonna
be there for them the entire time. Cad Cunningham again,
he looks like he's out of guests. Every night is
seven for nineteen for him. So it was an incredible
night by the Pissops. This shows you the Cavaliers how
flawed they are. You're at home and you can't close

(04:39):
out a team that is so wounded and is not
shooting well, and you still find a way to lose
by twenty in a closeout game. Like, I don't see
either of these teams saying okay, yeah, this is where
all of a sudden we hit the next level. They're
just surviving. These two teams are surviving, and whoever makes
it to the East Finals, now that's gonna be Hey,
where we did. We made it to the East Finals.
It's a huge achieve for us both of these teams.

(05:01):
It's gonna be great and the Knicks are gonna win,
and then it's gonna be okay the NBA Finals. But
as much as I went Frostburg Frostburg, you're just lucky
that Luca has been cleared for Game five. You're just lucky.
You know how they're gonna win. Now they're gonna win,
I mean now that they will not lose again the
rest of the season. Now that Luca's cleared. It's absolutely
fatueason to take the Knicks in four Knicks in four

(05:22):
Nix You're gonnare That's gonna be my pick. I got it.
Whoever they play, I'm gonna say Nixon for whoever they play,
I'm gonna say Nixon for well.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
I think you were gonna do that, regardless you might
have had you do that in the NBA Finals. Those
monsters off that Apple Show, and you would have been
calling for Nixon four. With the rose collared glasses that
you stole from Elton John that you're wearing here on
a beautiful Friday night, that's kind of where we're at
in this process of your expectation is over the moon.

(05:50):
I'm here to try to temper such things. Now, do
I try to deny what we've seen from your New
York Knicks to this point, No, I do not. But
past performance is not indicative of future results. And as
you get into the next series, and yes, they will
be dog ass tired, your team will be sitting around
and we'll have all sorts of hot topic debates on

(06:13):
morning shows like rest or Rust the New York Knicks edition,
and all sorts of stuff about Jalen Bronson and not
getting into the you know parties after the met Gala
and all that fun stuff. We'll talk about that some more,
but it you know, styles make fights, and if suddenly
the Pistons are ready to go and they want to

(06:34):
fight your Nicks and they can slow it down to
a half court game, look, you get on a nob
back and that'll be fantastic.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Right.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
All words is that he'll be ready to go for
the Eastern Conference finals when we get there, and you know,
that's one more piece and then the Mike Brown arsenal.
But I to think that predicting a sweep is always
heady business unless we're in March and you're just predicting
a sweep against the Eastern Conference teams that don't want

(07:03):
to play anymore.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Knicks in four knicks in four nicks in fine. I mean, look,
it's been five days since I had a k next game.
I got four more days till my next next game.
I mean it's it's this is a long time, Like
I love the break, but at some point I'm like, yeah,
I'd like a game this weekend, but good enjoy it.
Good enjoy.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
The Knicks are a sixty nine likely champion out of
the Eastern Conference.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I mean, look, and the time for Anunoby to come back,
that's the big thing, right, Like if he's trending this
well and now going to game seven, uh you know, okay, great,
they're gonna be tired and and and ensuring that he
doesn't have to like he's gonna be it's two weeks
now basically for the injury for him, like I expected
him back as it come back. And as much as
I thought last year was the year, hey we got

(07:50):
a home court, it's the Pacers, I'm not like this
is even more. This is the year to get to
the final, to get back to the.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Game we just watched. If you really want to laugh
and all of you out there, if You can follow
this at home. Go find the shot chart from this
game and go file up the third quarter, where both
teams tried to live in the paint. One was far
more successful than the other. A lot of empty circles

(08:18):
for you to bubble together for the Cleveland Cavaliers, a
lot of empty shots and opportunities down low, whereby the
Detroit Pistons feasting going three of eight from three point range.
That's no matter because there's a nice cluster of black
dots for made field goals. Feasting in the paint and

(08:39):
building out a big lead with a thirty to nineteen
third quarter performance.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
So what you're telling me is you're done talking about
the next part of it, because you just went right
to you know, hey, look at the third The show's
tonight about the game tonight? Yeah, you getting all excited
and getting your Knicks wallpaper installed in your home. Who
the Knicks could be playing? Is way more interesting than
the game we just saw. It was a twenty point burial, man,
Come on, but.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Does it informed Game seven?

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Question? It does?

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Now?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I will say, I will say playoff hardened returning was
a was a welcome site, like you know, hey, you
know when the pressure was off and they were down
to zip and everything was saying looking like it was done.
It was gonna be a sweet for the for the Pistons. Hey,
James Harden played really well for those next three games.
He did, he played fantos well.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
He played thirty seven minutes tonight, Yeah, twenty three points.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
But what did I say?

Speaker 4 (09:31):
But what did I seven rebounds?

Speaker 1 (09:34):
How well he played? What did I say? I say?
How well he played? Hey, he's been terrific. Let's say
if he can keep it up? Just like that, I
did it, just like that. I gave you those subliminal
messages that were really not subliminal, but they kind of were.
They were radio subliminal. I said, Hey, he's been great
these last three games. He has been absolutely fantastic, best
player on the floor. Let's if he can keep it up.
James Harden. Tonight another game with more turnovers than he

(09:59):
had made bass. He had twenty three points. Nice night, right,
shot pretty well, eight turnovers, six made Beast playoff Harden
is back angel cat playoff Harden is back right right
when his team and it's really this is how it
goes for James Harden. It's not that James Harden is

(10:19):
always terrible in the playoffs. It's just when it comes
down to it, what happens. He gets tired, and the
games that mean the most, he fades. He fades in
the fourth quarter. He's tired, he turns the ball over.
That was tonight, man, that was Harden tonight. I mean
playoff Harden came back in a large, large way this evening. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
I think the bigger issue is the fact that from
his shooting percentage, he wasn't chucking until the fourth quarter
when they were down big. Then suddenly he's got shots
for days, Like, where are you trying to assert yourself
in the offense earlier? Oh wait, it was the eight
turnovers because you only have thirteen attempts over the course
of the night. Several of those were deep threes where

(10:59):
he's flailing and flopping and trying to get himself. Yeah,
some calls down the stretch. So just a curious space
when for three games you've dominated, you're at home potential
to finish this thing off, and you're passive in your
shooting game. When's that's who you've been for sixteen years?

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Well that's the thing is certainly, come on, man, you
have to just get to the point and accept this
is who they are. Right. There's sometimes where if a
player is trending a certain way for the first few
years in the league, you say, Okay, eventually you're gonna
understand that you have to start doing X, Y and Z. Right,
Luca's got to understand that, Hey, you're in your mid
to late twenty getting into your later twenties. You gotta

(11:40):
start taking care of your body. Okay, you heard it
for a long time. But you've been in the league
four or five years. Okay, I get it. You know,
five to six years everybody hits that next level. But
guys like Joel Embiid and James Harden and Kevin Durant,
it's the same thing. This is just who they are.
They're completely unpredictable and when it comes down to a

(12:01):
point where you need them the most. How many times
can you say much more for Embiid and hard than
it is for Durant, But how many times can you say, wow,
that was absolutely terrible, whether not playing in a game,
playing poorly, not looking motivated, playing to a level where
rookies play at like that just is the thing that

(12:23):
you have to accept. Now. With Harden, who's been in
the league for so long, and embiad who's been in
the league for so long. This is just who they are.
I could sit here and say they gotta do this,
and Harden's got to take care of the ball. Hard's
gotta find this, Harden's got I could tell you all
these things, but it doesn't matter, because that's just who
he is. He's unpredictable. He is just as liable to
come out with a twenty five and ten game in

(12:44):
Game seven and the Cavaliers win one like one oh five,
one hundred, just as likely as he used to come
out with a game where he's got eighteen points on
four to thirteen shooting and he turns the ball over
seven times. That's just who James Harden is.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
No, it's a curiosity. We've been doing this show long
enough to watch the evolution and the ebbs and flow
of what James Harden has been Right when he started
to become a facilitator and we saw the assist numbers
go up. Scoring still could take over a game at times,
but playoff Harden is very much that thing. And in
this game, three of four started out well from the field,

(13:20):
then over the next two quarters, proceeded to go one
of three three shot attempts for a guy who was
a top ten scorer of all time. My god man uh.
And then he finishes two of four couple of three
pointers in the fourth quarter, a couple of trips to
the fall line. As we set up for Game seven,
Pistons established early on as a four point favorite.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Two five your total, right to the betting, right to
the betting. No, that was four minutes later, right to
it straight. Yeah, Now you're counting the minutes. Now you
say no because you go straight to it. No, So
I gotta have proceipts? How many minutes? How many minutes
till I can go to gambling? Where it won't I'm
going right to gambling. And you were counting the minutes.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
I gave you the odds for winning the Eastern Conference Finals.
You didn't complain.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Then thirty four to twenty five is the score right
now in the nightcap, as the Spurs go for the closer,
they're up by nine over the Timberwolves. We'll have more
on this game coming up next. We got to get
into Edwin Diaz and the latest news for Ronda Rousey
and Gina Carano is just outstanding. It is a full

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon. Right now, Spurs lead the t Wolves.
Spurs going for the closer. It is a big lead
right now for San Antonio. Make it forty three to
twenty seven, ten minutes to go before halftime time. Out
on the floor, Wemby just had a big bucket. He's

(16:31):
got nine right now. However, it's Steph Castle with fourteen
leading the way for the Spurs. It's a big lead
and Minnesota looks really dicey. But just for a second,
there was a play a couple of minutes ago. When
you talk about plays it that Wemby makes you just go,
I can't believe it, right, you just can't believe stuff
he makes. It was just an average play where this

(16:53):
where the Tea Wolves were kind of on a break
in transition, not quite. Wenby was back in the paint,
and there was another defender uh like like maybe on
the right elbow and uh Desumu had the ball on
the right side of the court, and Wemby is pointing
to the to the to the opposite side, just pointing

(17:15):
and instructing his teammates. So he's only kind of halfway
paying attention right and here and and here's Dosumu who says, okay,
I have the numbers here right because I have three
or four in transition, even though it's kind of it
was it was it wasn't a straight uh fast break.
And he's got a player in the corner and he
just turns to whip the ball into the corner and

(17:37):
it's it's just one of those cross court passes that
you can see it's gonna be wide open and and
it's gonna be received, and it's gonna be a wide
open three. And Wemby is I mean, he's only halfway
paying attention, Harman, He's only halfway pay because he's talking
to his team and he just and he just sees
the ball and he just puts his arm out. I mean,
he's five feet from the ball and he just puts

(17:59):
his arm out. The ball hits his arm and bounces
like ten feet in the air, and there's a scrum
for it. Now the play results in in Minnesota getting
the ball and they wind up getting a bucket. But
just here's like a four on two and I'm gonna
whip this ball cross court and it looks like it's
not even close, and Wenby just sticks his arm out
and doesn't just get a piece of it, but hits it,

(18:19):
knocks it ten twelve feet up in the air. Like
I see plays like that, and I go, I really
don't know how the Spurs even give up a point?
How does anybody even score on the Spurs when it's
the kind of plays he makes. I get the hey
coming down and I got two guys on me, and
I cause I'm taller than everybody, I can dish out
to a wide open guy for a three, or I
can come back out. I always get my shot over

(18:40):
whoever is on me. That stuff I get. But a
play like that where he's he's still trying to figure
out where to put his defenders with them coming down
in the break, and he just puts his arm out
and knocks them all up in the air, and I go,
that's where he looks unfair. That's where Wemby just looks like.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
Well, and this is where I blow your mind. Ready,
let's take it to my world. In the member of
the card market. What is Wemby collect Wemby collects Star
Wars cards. He has called the alien and he clearly
using the force or he has really good peripheral vision.
In this case, we're gonna say he's got really good
use of the force and command of that as if

(19:16):
he were hanging out with Grogu himself.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
I did well, Honestly, I think Wemby it takes Grogu
a little bit too long to get his power going, right.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
I got that the long begins with that first step,
and he's got a milk it out for as many
seasons as you can. Because Pascal has already said, I
like this gravy train. Let's keep it rolling.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
Yeah. But the thing he's gonna remember, Groghu's one hundred
years old. Now, he's had some time, right, He's had
a little bit, and it still takes him forever to
get going where Wemby's just edged. It's going right away.
Webby's going right away.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Wow, maybe he wants to see you know, like you say,
with all the teams that have to do something for themselves,
he's not gonna just jump right in with the force,
gonna watch things unfold chaos like all right now I'm
in I'm gonna wait in here this now slowly.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yeah, that doesn't happen.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Slow play it like it allows for the tension to build. Yeah.
Wenby dropped a bunch of several thousand bucks on a
couple of Star Wars cards about a year ago. That
was a big deal in the marketplace because as more
and more players get on board it, uh, the machine
keeps going. But there you go using the Force, and
you you so definitely described you.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Know who tries to tried to wade in with the forces.
Quigan Jin who didn't, Darth Ball who won that one? Oh,
Darth Maul can't wait in man, you gotta go right
in with the force.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
Yeah. And how much longer was Darth Maul with us?

Speaker 1 (20:33):
You gotta win, he got he gotta win over him
and he was defeated really fast, so good they brought
him back as a half man half spot.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
Yeah. Yeah, that was the greatest marketing scam ever perpetrated
by a franchise and and Giant Econo. Happy belated birthday,
George Lucas eighty two years old, greatest boom Dog will ever.
This guy's on the marketing and sales for everything. There
he is in the trailer and then bam, he's gone.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
All right, So we'll have more on this game coming
up again. Spurs and the Tea Wolves forty five twenty seven,
nine and a half to go before halftime. Again, Spurs
going for the closer. We could be just a couple
of quarters away from the NBA Western Conference Finals. We
all thought we were gonna get in December, so that's
where we are. Meanwhile, tomorrow night, and I am really

(21:22):
happily surprised, how interested I am and can't wait to
see this because normally, if you want to give me something,
some kind of sporting event that tugs on my retro
or here's what we had going up and here's when
when times were better and remember this back Like I'm
only okay with that, right, Like I'm like, yeah, I
don't really care to see Floyd Mayweather fight again. I

(21:43):
don't care to see many Packey I'll fight again. I
don't care to see Mike Tyson fight again. You know
all this stuff, right, yeah, okay, yeah, I saw it.
I saw it the first time when it was great.
I don't need to go see this now, but I
tell you I can't get over and how happy I'm
and how interested I am in the Rousy Coronto fight
tomorrow night on Netflix, right like it's I don't I
don't know why. It may be because it's still the recency.

(22:06):
It's you know, it's been you know, almost ten years
for Ronda Rousey, but it feels like yesterday that she
was just running roughshod in the UFC. And Gina Carna,
who of course was the conduit that helped get us there.
She was the biggest star going back to the late odds,
early teens. But just you know, I don't know what
it is, but just my desire to see how they

(22:26):
both fight, how they both look, how how Ronda Rousey
is able to try to continue on to teat keep
her star power at its highest level. And Gina Kurana,
who hasn't fought nearly twenty years. Like, I don't know why,
but this is something that I really can't wait to see.
And I don't know why, because if you gave me some,
if you gave me a bunch of other MMA guys

(22:48):
or other other boxers who were fighting, I'm like, yeah,
I don't know. But Rowsy and Gina Carano maybe because
they found a way to stay relevant and current outside
of the ring with Rowsey and w and Gina Carrono
acting on Mandalorian and and of course you know, some
some controversial stuff with her. But just this, I like,
I'm like, I I really have to make time to

(23:09):
watch this tomorrow night. Like this is this is the
big muster for me this weekend, because you know, the
Nicks aren't playing, so this is the big big muster
for me this.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Week Yeah, Corona talking today about one hundred pound weight loss,
so a much different look and feel. And and you
go back to when she was fighting, I mean that's
all the way back in two thousand and nine. Uh
so the the old Tapa flowing through and and for
Ronda Rousey, I mean you missed when we got to
talk to her that time and and we asked all

(23:36):
about you know, you you had some planted questions that
really got weird, but uh it was all good, you know,
as to whether she would date a Knicks fan, Mets fan,
bald guy, all all that stuff, if he was kind
of funny, And yeah, I mean.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
That was I think what we had Ronda Rousey on
and it was I couldn't make the interview, so you
and Frostburg interviewed her and she was single and and
and at the time she said, he said, well, you know,
our our host is a real big you know, you know,
what do you think would you ever date a Mets fan?
And she said, yeah, he could teach me about baseball.
I was like, oh, man, was I born too late?

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Well, like you missed the what would have been the
interview of your life, just like potentially either finding out
common ground and falling in love with Britney Spears or
getting stabbed by her one or the other the other
night here just down the road at the Blue Dog.
You gotta listen to the whole show, Go to the podcast,
find the clip on the entire Britney Spears saga from

(24:30):
just down the road here the other night. But yeah,
I mean I'm intrigued right into a dome. Get ins
a little over a hundred box, so you know, satisfy
some of that curiosity. Rousy. You know, there's still I
think part of her that is mad that the WWE
part of things didn't flow as smoothly as she'd hoped.

(24:51):
And it goes back to you could do everything you
want in the ring. You could be a bully in
the ring and all that stuff. You need to be
able to do the shoot interviews, need to be able
to do the mic work, and that that was lacking
at times, and would just go back to you, all right,
let's just beat people up, which is great, which is
why you go back to the UFC and to MMA

(25:12):
and get back into the ring, into the squared circle,
the octagon as it.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Were, you know, and you mentioned before we give you
before we pick, because because I have a strong opinion
of how this fight's gonna go. Gina Carano, with her
big Instagram posted a weighing in at one forty one
and a half pounds, and she said, I've lost one
hundred pounds in the better part of the last eighteen months,
like she was weighing over to forty as you said,

(25:37):
she was pre diabetic and finding a way. And for
you and I, you both had really big weight losses
over the course of the past year. I can't tell
you how happy I was to see this, just just
to see somebody, you know, be able to say, hey,
this is what I was and I you know, and
my my body got out of control and now here
I am getting it back right. On a minor way,

(25:57):
Eddie Lacy had a big story. He's been in the
news the couple of days showing, you know, he's had
a big weight loss from his days in the NFL.
But like Gina Carano, I mean talking about how was
one hundred pounds heavier and be able to lose one
hundred pounds and to keep it off. Now, there's all
different ways you could do it, and there's there you know,
however it is. There's Hollywood ways to do it, there's
there's diet ways to do it. There's all different ways.

(26:19):
But no matter how you slice it, losing one hundred pounds,
I mean, you're adding years to your life, You're adding
you're adding years to your health, you're adding years to
your knees. I mean, it's it really is something to
see that and go, man, one hundred pounds in the
better part of fifteen months, Like that is some kind
of weight loss.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
Certainly the knees the back. And for you know, Gronto,
obviously a desire to get back into the mix when
it comes to the Hollywood side of things. You alluded
to the controversy and social media and tweets and everything else.
But you know, how you get there is as long
as you're doing no harm to anybody else in the process. Right,

(26:59):
whatever gets you. There's many different ways and and certainly
you can walk around many bookstores and nutrition centers as
to as to how you go through that process. You
and I took a different path last year, and you know,
you keep going with it. I cheat a little bit more,
but it's well, you know what that lack of sleep man,

(27:19):
you know, they they carbs and sugars and and whatever
keep me talking to you but maintaining as best we can.
But for for Janna Carona, I mean, it's just the
the curiosity of what we're gonna get now in the
matchup tomorrow, I mean, decided underdog in the batting odds,
Yes it's appropriate to do them here is, but just

(27:42):
that curiosity because the last time we saw Ronda Rousey
wasn't exactly inspiring confidence in this regard either.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
No, it really in the end, it's hard to know
just how good of a UFC fighter she was, right
because the women's division was still brand new, we didn't
how good with the people she was fighting. And then
when people learned how to fight her, which was don't
get knocked out in the first twenty seconds, okay, make
her fight longer, and it gets more difficult. Like, I

(28:10):
still don't know how good a fighter she is, but
I saw what she was able to do when she
was when she was facing somebody who was not at
her level, and it's hard for me to see Gina
Carano make it at this level again. The last time
she fought was in two thousand and nine. Right now,
Ronda Rowsi same thing. It's been ten years for Ronda Rousi,
but Ronda Rousi is younger. She's been doing WWE, so

(28:33):
she's been in that in that mode of of being
active and athletic. Gina Carano has been more getting her
weight down and getting back in a great life shape.
But it's almost been twenty years, like she fought in
two thousand and nine. What kind of stamina is she
going to have? How is that gonna go? When? When?
When when you're Ronda Rousi and you're You've been in

(28:53):
fighting shape for a long time, and here's Gina Carano
who has been trying to get into it while losing weight.
I don't know how that translates when you get into
the octagon, and it would really stun me if this
was a fight that was longer, I don't know, ninety seconds,
maybe I don't. I really think this is gonna be
Ronda Rousey. It's to be Ronda Rousy big. Maybe it's
arm bar, you know, to go back to where it is,

(29:15):
and maybe this jump starts her MMA career again. But
it's really gonna be hard for me to see Ronda
Rousey not win this in ninety seconds.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Yeah, I have nothing else. It's a payday and some
time in the limelight, get some interviews, get back out
there and try to find it. The implied odds right
now is Rowsy at eighty six percent. It would be
something to see Toronto go and win. And but to
your point, we watched the division mature, you know, before
our very eyes, as Rowsey was having that level of

(29:44):
dominance and then just like that, it was gone. The
invincibility was gone, the fear was gone from all the opponents,
and she was gettable. To your point, get a little
bit of dancing around the ring and the octagon a
bit more and work to tire her out. So if
you could survive that initial barrage, then perhaps you've got

(30:06):
a puncher's chance. Either way, A lot of interested folks
for this one, and it's good to be talking these
names once again. Little nostalgia as we kind of keep
pushing forward our sports narratives, right whenever we can grab
a little bit from the past and the longevity of
some of these athletes. You know, I feel less.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Old exit out about a Fresca exit swollen down The
Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon, live from the Fox
Sports Radio Studios. Time now to find out what's trending
in the wide role the sports. A guy who's having
trouble just figuring out just how many points the lead
is for the Spurs over the Tea Wolves, because it's
getting pretty big. It's Steve de Seger.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
Actually I was having trouble finding out.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Wait a bit, so Game one is Monday for the
nick Yeah, they're probably not going to be having a
Game seven in San Antonio this series on Sunday. The
Spurs are on a twenty to nothing run to start
the second quarter at Minnesota. The lead is fifty six
to twenty seven in the second quarter. Spurs already up
three games to two in this second round playoff series.

(31:10):
Thirty one percent shooting for the home team Timberwolves, sixty
four percent from the floor for visiting San Antonio, led
by Stefogg Castle seventeen points, six of seven shooting. Detroit
was a winner at Cleveland, another elimination faced and test
passed one fifteen to ninety four the final Pistons led

(31:31):
by Ky Cunningham twenty one points. He had eight assists,
seven turnovers. Game seven will be at Detroit on Sunday.
An impressive win for the Pistons, getting a victory at Cleveland,
where the Cavs had been six to zero at home
this postseason. Nick scard O, Gian Andobi practice fully for
the first time since his hamstring injury. He missed their

(31:51):
last two games. Game one of the East Finals will
be Tuesday. Game one of the West Finals look like
looks like we'll be Monday. This past Monday Oklahoma City,
he swept the Lakers and o case he's Jalen Williams
says he is healthy now. He missed the last six
games with a strained hamstring. In the WNBA, Asia Wilson
scored forty five points tonight as Las Vegas won at

(32:12):
Connecticut one oh one, ninety four Connecticut Son who can't
move soon enough now oh and four. Washington won at
Indiana one oh four, one oh two Caitlin Clarke in
defeat thirty two points, eight assists. As for the MLB
games in progress, two outs in the ninth Cubs they're
leading ten to four at the White Sox. Top of

(32:33):
the ninth, it's the Royals, tied three to three at
Saint Louis. Diamondbacks scored six in the top of the first.
They're now leading at Colorado nine to one in the
bottom of the seventh. The Dodgers starting pitcher was due
to be Blake Snell. He was scratched due to an
elbow injury. The team is confident he'll return this year.
No decision yet as far as surgery. So it's an

(32:56):
all bullpen game and it looks like the Dodgers have
just so make it a four nothing. Dodger lead Max
Munsey rounding the bases after the round tripper, his twelfth
of the year. Andy Potter has has already hit a
three run shot his ten four nothing Dodgers at the
Angels in the top of the fourth. Padres are winning
one nothing at Seattle in the bottom of the fourth.

(33:19):
Padres only a half game back of the first place Dodgers.
In the NL West, Houston shut out Texas to nothing.
The winning pitcher Spencer arraghetti seven and a third. He
came out after allowing his first hit. He did have
four walks. Yankees in Tampa Bay each one. Ray's still
first in the AL East by two games. Atlanta one
again a tenanting win over Boston three to two, Detroit

(33:41):
with a run bottom of the niney vegge Toronto three
to two, and Philadelphia got two homers from Kyle Schwarbery
has twenty. They came back for a ten inning win
at Pittsburgh eleven to nine. And at the PGA Championship,
Maverick McNeely is tied for the lead with fellow American
Alex smalley. Hideki Matsuyama is one back, tied for three,
barely making the cutit four over. Shane Lowry shot a

(34:03):
second round seventy six Today.

Speaker 1 (34:05):

to that.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
Trust extra cockfight. We got a trap for everything.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
That drop that ty shirt's been playing for I don't
know five years. We actually have a story in a
few minutes. Yeah, yeah, many.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Of them, but this one finally broke through.

It is a twenty point Spurs lead, sixty forty four.
They're shooting free throws right now. Looks like in a
little bit we'll be previewing the Spurs Thunder Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
You know, I showed the Colts schedule reveal to my
daughter this morning and Madeline started laughing because she appreciated
the same game and you did boring, but you never know.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Against the NBA, we're still today still, but it looks like, wow,
this is yeah. We're just gonna get those previews ready,
get it ready, But first we have the Play of
the day. The Play the Day, of course, is brought

threes on your team, Hey guess what you get to
be the player of the day by.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Paul Reid Decade right gins, triple Tribe Bang, It's.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
Through for three and the Pistons now leading by eleven.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Thisissons Radio Network on the call five threes from Cade Cunningham.
That's all he really did well tonight shooting because he
was just two of nine the rest of the way,
and the Pistons find a way to beat the Cavs
one fifteen ninety four. I mean, and this is this
is what I mean when I said earlier in the show, Hey,
hard not to think Nixon four? Right, hard not thinking

(36:50):
is four because the Pistons have not been playing one, right, Frostburk,
just just worry about game five, worry about you know
how many points Luca's gonna score in game now that
he's clear. Is that the Pistons have not been playing well.
Kate Cunningham has not been playing well. Yet they're find
a way to keep this series three to three. The
Cavaliers have been incredibly inconsistent all right, up and down.

(37:13):
As James Harden goes, so go the Cavaliers, which you're like, wow,
really okay sentence. I didn't think you would say, like
four months ago. But they've been incredibly inconsistent. Both of
these teams are just trying to stay afloat all right.
None of them is playing great, none of them is
saying we're getting to our next level. They both look
like getting to the conference finals will be their big
feather in their cap. Hey, mid to the conference finals

(37:34):
this year. Next year will make our big move and
go up with you know, the arrows going up for
our team. We're feeling really good. We have young bases,
both of them do, and they're both franchises on the
way up. It's awesome to see this, but really, I mean,
you watch the game and you go, wow, it's it's
just it's just not the same basketball that we've seen
played when the Thunder the Knicks in the series against

(37:55):
the against the Sixers, And I'm sorry, but the Knicks
have been the second best team in the playoffs the
entire time. Maybe the Spurs are making a run at
it with their big game tonight Wemby, But like, it's
really hard to see when you see this level of
play versus some of the other play we see.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
But again, it's it's the matchups and the slug as
you go through it, and then you get into the
next round, you don't know how guys are gonna react, right,
I mean, even though it's the home court, playing in
Madison Square, guard might be a bigger advantage for the
visitors because they get jacked up to go there versus
just another day at the office for Brunson and those guys.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Yeah, that's great, But is it the Pacers? Is it
the Pacers? It's not the Pacers. I'm feeling Okay, I
don't know you.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
You dismissed the Pacers a year ago, the Pace You
said they were a bunch of bums, and you hated
them all and nem hard didn't belong on the same
court as as Jalen Brunson and all your heroes, and
and what happened there? The mirror another miracle shot by
cunning by by Tyrese Halliburton that bounces off the back

(38:56):
of the rim up and through.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
I mean, come on, man, two years miracle shots like
the pay I mean, I think that's what happened to
the Pacers this year. It said, hey, listen, we gave
you whatever you sold your souls for. You didn't sell
it for enough, because now you're going to the lottery. Okay,
you beat the Knicks twice with miracle shots you shouldn't
have had. And hey, okay, but now you got to
pay the piper, so now get ready for the lottery. Now, No,
that is fair.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
I mean eventually the devil comes to get his due.
I mean, we we've talked about at it at length,
the whether it's the football gods and we you know,
the lowercase G for whatever sport you want to apply
it to, or if you want to go crossroads where
we get a little Stevie vay In and then Ralph
Baccio and a cool f Noora, all of that fun
stuff is there that, Yeah, eventually it does even itself out.

(39:40):
Now you wishing illness and problems for our guy Haliburt
and out of that is just wrong.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Did not say that? Did not?

Speaker 4 (39:48):
No, you kind of implied it like he had to
pay the price.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Don't tell me, no, no, No, the Pacers had to
pay the price with the year where they're going to
the lottery because they used up all their good fortune
and they got zero championships out of it. So whatever
you sold your souls for. So Nemmar could make that
three pointer from thirty feet with his eyes closed in
Game three two years ago, and Haliburton can make that
shot off the back of the arm that goes through
where he makes the choke thing. Oh he's gonna live forever. Yeah,

(40:13):
you got zero championships.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
Well, you know that is generally the the lore and
history of how the deal with the Devil works. You
get right to the precipice of what you were trying
to achieve, and maybe you get a little taste of it,
but then it's torn asunder and you lose it all
just that fast.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Yeah. But usually in the movies, though, they beat the
devil in the end, like you know, real life, I
guess the devil wins more than you expect. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
No, the odds are, you know, generally in his favor?

Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah, yeah, what are the odds for Satan in this arm?
And do you have the odds for Satan prohibitive favor?
What kind of favorite of Satan is he? Seven and
a half points? Like like what, like what.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
You're gonna lose on the temptation? That's it? Okay to
eat the sweet may for may that ill gotten donut
be forever on your head. Oh but I'm so sweet
and tasty.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Satan is a perpetual favorite. Last time, you know, the
last time Satan was an underdog, It's like, you know,
it's like UCLA basketball with Wooden h last time they
were an underdog in a game. That's like eight years ago.
Last time Satan was an underdog who sixty nine Mets man,
that's a last.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
In the Grand Battles. Still still, you know, forever being
toiled about.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
Exit out bout a Fresca exit swollen down the Jason
Spencer with Mike Carmon coming up next. Yes, we have
to get into this Edwin Diaz story and the craziness
that surrounds it. Extra cockfight but comes out fractured. Februlay.
Now he's gonna be out a long time. The Mets
can't have nice things, they just can't.

Speaker 4 (41:43):
You got ewing, you got a couple of wins and
a little bit of excitement and there you go. And
then I was all excited, right because, I mean, now
we're go bottom of the ninth. You had the Cubs
and then the White Socks, and they get their affairs
in order there in the city. It's the first time
in eighteen years they've played with both teams with a
winning record except during the COVID years. How crazy is that?

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Yeah? I mean, oh, look, you you have the the
Central Divisions or Lady or the Tiger in both uh
in both the that's not good.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
Ten to five year final the Cubs double them up.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
But you're saying, hey, yeah, well the National League, that's
a pretty good division. The American League in the Central. Yeah,
that's kind of the opposite of the National League Central. Okay,
we have that.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
Yeah, down ten four, you know, hit a home run
in the ninth.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
Kel Nick, Yeah, so yours, yeah all once. Yeah, Now,
at least that trade is not that biging.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
You spent a lot of time and effort trying to
sell America on him.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Yeah oh yeah. Yeah. Well, and it's as as it
turns out, things aren't working out for anybody in that deal.
After today, because the Edwin Diaz story, it's I don't
even know where to begin, because there's so many things
that don't make sense with this story. Okay, the genesis
of this Today, very early on in the day, there's

(43:07):
a story Edwin Diaz is involved in illegal cockfighting in
his native Puerto Rico. Story comes out USA Today had
it a couple of the sources have it that he
has been posting links to cock fighting since twenty sixteen.
Quotes from him saying that in the ring cock fighting
ring is where he feels most at home, and this

(43:29):
has been a part of Diaz's life now apparently for
at least the last ten years, there's been no comment
from Major League Baseball yet and Diaz saying, I'm you
know the quote attributed to him. You know what we
think is him saying, I'm glad it's legal here. And
when this story came out, I said, there's no way
this is true. This has got to be something that's

(43:50):
AI made. There's no way. But yet as the day
went on and you saw more sources having it, and
there's so much There's only one thing I can tell
you about about Edwin Diaz, the only one thing I
can tell you. But the rest of it, I really
it nothing makes sense. Okay, First of all, go back
to the fact that Edwin Diaz has been There's been

(44:13):
pictures of him on his Facebook page, smiling with family
and his friends, promoting community activities, more than one hundred
and fifty pictures of roosters, cockfighting clubs, breeding facilities. One
picture shows roosters packed in the cardboard boxes. Their heads
are poking out of cutout holes above small feeding dishes.
There's twenty six reels featuring roosters, some fighting in organized matches,

(44:39):
others are shown on what looks to be a breeding
facility where Diz is holding roosters while promoting upcoming cock
fights in multiple videos. Okay, this is all USA today.
Other sources have this. My first thought is that and
this one I can't believe is that he's not tried
to hide it, right, this one doesn't make sense. This
has been out there for ten years on his Facebook

(45:01):
page and we get it now. No, it doesn't. That
doesn't make any sense. How does nobody know about this?
Or or did the Mets and the Dodgers both know
about it and thought, well, no one's saying anything because
you know, okay, so everything is fine. Mets can give
him contract extensions, Dodgers can sign him and give him
a bunch of money. Like, how does nobody know about this? It?

(45:22):
This has been ten years and it's not been hidden.
I mean, it's on the guy's Facebook page and still
no unhappy Mets fan after he blows a save in
the ninth inning posts this link saying, hey Edwin Diaz, Yeah,
here's a guy blew a save and he's also you know,
he promotes cock fighting, which is illegal, like Joe not
once Like no, no, wait, dude, he's not he's not

(45:44):
my problem. Now he's your problems, your problem, he is
your No, you're kidding. Yeah, I don't want to be
in the will. I don't want to be in it
like that, Mike, I can't under It blows me away
that this has gone on for ten years and nobody
is known about it. Like that's what makes me think
there's there's something else coming here. Right, it's gonna tell
us that this is not a real story because ten

(46:04):
years and these quotes from him just just not even oh, hey,
I you know I used to do it, but then
I walked away from it, Like this has been the
while he's been a superstar closer in Major League Baseball, Like,
I don't know what what What surprises me more the
fact that he's owning up to it and saying, yeah,
I love it, or that ten years has gone by
before we found out by however randomly found we found

(46:27):
out today.

Speaker 4 (46:27):
Yeah, it's it's curious, right, the USA Today's Sports says
they've founded these things on social media and now make
them public. You also have the Ortiz Brothers, a couple
of top jockeys in horse racing that that are part
of this as well. And then they trace it back.
There's a Facebook post from February second and the fourth,

(46:48):
and there's a tournament going on, and the ad says, quote,
the Puerto Rico Cockfighting Club invites all enthusiasts to a
special match and a grand tribute to one of our
island's greatest sources of pride. Tribute to the Puerto Rican
star and cock fighter, Edwin Sugar Diez. I's got a
picture of him. And then there was another yes, and

(47:10):
then there's another story published in March tenth and he's
standing there in the pit and it says, quote, it's
a pastime I've followed since I was a child. It's
legal in Puerto Rico, thank god, otherwise I wouldn't be
here unquote, which it was until twenty nineteen when a
federal ban came up over all US territories in all

(47:30):
fifty states. So they're saying, the fights are over four
hundred years of history, tradition, whatever term you want to
put on it. Five years in prison and a fine,
and the maximum penalty is one year in prison for
a spectator. For some participants, it's five years and a
fine for a spectator. It's a prison. It's one year

(47:52):
in prison at a fine. So to this point, the
Ortez brothers did not respond to requests for comments just
yet or a message left for their agent, and to
this point nothing further from the Dodgers major League Baseball.
I did see that they have Edwin Diaz bobblehead Day
scheduled for July twenty ninth.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
At present, not happening. Not happening. Well, what do you
think about this? Frostburg? And I know you want to weigh.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
He already did his sentence. He played for the Mets
for how many Oh, I mean, that's worse than jail.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
He's already been punished, He's already beenuied.

Speaker 4 (48:25):
Least you can get an in jail.

Speaker 1 (48:28):
Dude, I mean things, I mean did he mean? No, dude,
this is not about the Mets, like I feel bad
enough time, man, He's this is nothing to see here.
He's a bad guy. Man, he is a bad guy.
Saying again, well, look he was a bad guy when

(48:51):
the Mets had him. I'm not saying he wasn't. I
don't know how any anybody didn't know. I mean, I
don't know how did no one know that for ten years? Right?
And also how is it promoted when it's been illegal
for six years in Puerto Rico. Like, I mean, it's
been it's been illegal. This is not Hey, it's illegal
in the United States, but it's legal in Puerto Rico.
It's been illegal in Puerto Rico for six years and

(49:12):
it's still being promoted.

Speaker 4 (49:13):
Well, but like its promoting it. I mean, you go
running around social media, I'm sure you can find of
a lot a lot of illicit activities if if you
search and if you want to, right, and this goes
back to a larger question on authorities and deciding that
you're enforcing and what you're not.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
That's dark web stuff though, man, that's not Oh hey,
guess what, here's a closer wearing his Dodger uniform. We're
gonna say he's gonna be or he's promoting whatever. Champions.

Speaker 4 (49:42):
Part of this was also during a day off during
Puerto Rico's run during the World Baseball Classic. I mean, yes,
he took he took a day off, took time during
his day off to unwine with one of his hobbies.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
It's a hobby. It's a hobby.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
I mean, it's it's well, I mean, look, I used
to collect you know, the nineteen seventy eight seventy eight
was where they did this is big on the tops
baseball cards. On the back they would have the guys
hobbies and what they did, you know, favorite books or
movies or whatever. And there were a number of guys
where cockfighting was listed as their favorite hobby.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
This is look, you know, the thing is is that
because it goes on. However, it was illegally look legal
in Puerto Rico for a long time, but then the
last few years not like I can't believe we didn't
even get from Edwin Diaz that yeah, when I was younger,
but I realized how wrong it was when I got older.
And it's still you guys still got to be responsible

(50:36):
for your actions, but understanding that when you're younger. Okay,
at least he's moving away from it now or when
it became illegal that he moved away from but not no,
an off day at the WBC, and he's got yeah
here world banks, we have off day. Here, we got
we got cock fights going on. Like he's a bad guy, man,
like he is a real I mean, this is Michael Vick.
This is I mean, you know, there's no difference between

(50:56):
dogs and roosters. I mean, this is awful, man, this
is absolutely terrible.

Speaker 4 (51:00):
Well, here's a quote from this USA Today article talking
about a rooster coming back aggressively. And I know you've
all seen it on social media today. Maybe you chuckled
and then you felt bad about it, but talking about
it being the entrance music for Diaz's rooster when Narco
began to play, well, my rooster went down dead and

(51:20):
got up to fight, doing what my roosters know how
to do finish fights. He did what I do when
I come into pitching the ninth to close out the game. Unquote.

Speaker 1 (51:31):
Is that an actual quote from the rooster?

Speaker 4 (51:32):
No, it was wow. I mean the rooster Griffin was
a great prelim wrestler back in the day. He didn't
finish many fights triumphantly. But that's Diaz talking about one
of his roosters that he taught him how to be
a closer.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
I mean, really, that's just I can't get over this,
Like there's so many things that just don't make sense.
I mean, dude, here's the one thing I know. He's
not pitching again in twenty twenty six. He's done, he's
got the he's in MLB. Is not gonna look at
this and say, oh, yeah, no, he's he's involved in
illegal activity and he's been promoting it and he knows

(52:07):
it's illegal and he's been promoting it. This is bad, man,
This is bad. This is this is taking part in
the deaths of animals.

Speaker 4 (52:14):
For here they did something positive in twenty twenty four.
According to this article wa PA TV in Puerto Rico
said that DZ and al Alexis Diaz, along with a
Regaeton singer, they organize the charity event to help a
kid suffering from muscular dystrophy with a cockfighting charity.

Speaker 1 (52:33):
He's not gonna pitch again this year, there's no way. Now.
Now major League Baseball is gonna have to do an investigation. Obviously, Uh,
he's injured for a while. Obviously not expected to come
back for another couple of months, maybe the end of
July and August for DZ. But there's no majorly basicly
gonna say, you know what, dude, you gotta just stay
away while we figure this thing out. And I don't

(52:54):
know if he plays again, like this is this is
this is awful, Like this is just the beginning of
this story. And and I don't know how his avenue
back to Major League Baseball is from this, Like, this
is not you know, it's not something where hey, someone
puts it out on social media and it was something
that he did twelve or thirteen years ago, and all right,

(53:15):
it embarrasses you for a little bit, but then you
move on past. No, this is him again actively promoting
it on an off day at the WBC. Like, dude,
but it is illegal, like he can't even he can't
even hang on to the well, you know what, in
Puerto Rico, it's no, no, no, no, no no. It's still
been illegal.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
But that's the point to reiterate I got this and
to give it a big, bigger stage. Here is the
fact that you've had a lot of politicians and leaders
in Puerto Rico who fought for its retention and to
resist the federal ban because of the hundreds of years
of traditions of these clubs and gatherings in cities and

(53:53):
towns that they're trying to establish that hey, this is
part of our way of life, which means you could
have all of these different social media and news reports
and not necessarily have to worry about agents and police
coming in. I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying

(54:13):
that that seems to be where this is headed.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
In Port in Puerto Rico, I agree with you, but
major League Baseball, baseball is a home. Major League Baseball
is different. That's what I mean. He's not pitching again
in twenty twenty six. Major League Baseball's gonna say, dude,
you need to sit back while we figure out what's
going on here. Right, we got to you gotta be
on the exempt list, and we're gonna figure out exactly
where to go with you. At the end of the season,
we get into and see exactly what you've been taking

(54:39):
part of and what what you've been doing and all
of this, we're launching a big investigation. Like his career
is at stake.

Speaker 4 (54:45):
Jay the Mets, but goes back to the the larger
point of any workplace, a home relationship. You know you
can get away and then you know you push the
boundaries or whatever, and it's not an issue until it
is right. So this could have been in hiding in
plain sight the whole time, but since nobody ever made

(55:06):
a big issue about it, all right, it just goes on.
He made in jail for seven years, sto Major League Baseball,
the NBA, NFL, whatever else. The look the other way
is not you know, isolated to a single sport business whatever.
I mean, people will will try to press whatever advantage
they think they have, thinking nobody's watching. Nah.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
Yeah, and now that it's out, now good luck because
again he's not gonna touch Smith at all. He's not
gonna pitch extra. He's done.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
He went to a couple of extras.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
I don't know. I don't know if he's going to really,
I don't know if I can tell he's going to
pitch again. Dude, this is bad. I mean, I'm telling you,
this is bad. Jerry. Oh wow. The Little Jerry Seinfeld
episode does not age well. Oh, by the way, that's
just not age well. Does not

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Fear thrives in silence and confusion. Ana Navarro rejects both. Her voice is an antidote to today’s chaos. Her new podcast, Bleep! with Ana Navarro, takes on today’s most pressing issues with the voices most connected to it: decision-makers, political leaders, cultural shapers, and people on the frontlines of the story. The conversations acknowledge the emotions we all feel—despair, sadness, fear— but emerge with knowledge, perspective, and hope. The belief is simple: fearless dialogue can transform fear into courage, and courage into change. When fear dominates the headlines, this show digs deeper. Because information, debate, and conversation don’t just ease fear, they give us power to shape the future.
