all the way back. The Caitlin Clark discourse the last
few weeks has just been a rinse and repeat of here,
she is not treated well? What is on her? What

is on the officials? What is on the league for
not stepping in? Why does a league seem to hate her?

It's been an endless cycle of this, Right, These are
the headlines that the WNB and Caitlin Clark need. They need. Hey,
forty ten nights. If you're gonna be the biggest star
in the game. We need stories where you are the
biggest star of the game. And no matter what you
you wanna and how you want to cut up things,
whether you're you're Michael Jordan, or you're Tom Brady, or

you're Aaron Rodgers whoever you are, or you're Jalen Brunson,
whatever it is, you can be someone that gains a
lot of headlines. But you know, hey, pretty regularly you
gotta give a oh yeah, by the way, yeah, here's
a forty point night, here's a four touchdown night. Like, like,
we haven't had those kinds to Knights from Caitlin Clark
as often as we do because of injury, you know,
you know, talk about her fitting into the system, and look,

the Fever are really talented. They they have a big
starting five coming off the bench. We know of Sophie
Cunningham's story, but like, if you're the best player, if
you're the star, yeah, these are the You need these
a little bit more often when it comes because it's
nice to say, oh, Katelan Clark had a good game
with sixteen points and seven assists. Okay, but you know what,
there's lots of cars like No. Sixteen and seven. Right, Hey,

Paige Becker seems to be having knights above that pretty
regularly over the course of the last year plus. Like,
these are the games that we expected from Caitlin Clark,
and it's weird to think that, wait, you expected these
kind of get Yeah. I think we all expected these
kind of games from Kitlin Clark when she came into
the w because she completely rewrote the record books in
college basketball and the impact that she had. I honestly

I expected maybe, I don't know by this point, I
don't know, in three years into the league and you know,
you're talking about thirty games and you know, I don't know,
I expected maybe maybe ten forty point games were at
this point, you know, is something like that some kind
of night? I mean, I know, you know, you play
less minutes and obviously, you know, the point totals aren't

really as high as the NBA. The pace isn't as
it is in the NBA, and the three point shot
making is not what it is in the NBA. But
I still kind of these were more of the games
I expected from her that now it's nice to get
them and it's a memory that, oh yeah, as good
as she's been like, you know, these kind of games
have kind of eluded her for a while.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Yeah, we're talking just a handful of games with twenty
five plus third thirty point game of the season lived
at the foul line. So maybe she'll start getting a
friendly or whistle what was it, seventeen of nineteen from
the fall line today, so getting it done there. Also
had four steals, but you saw and as you go
and review the highlight reel, you get some of those

patented step backs from Moon launches, like a Steph Curry
kind of thing where she's feeling the deep, deep touch
as this game wore on. But yeah, it's been an odd,
odd run, right. You go back to her rookie year
and we saw the consistency and things were getting into
a flow. Last year riddled with injury, this year injury

and then you know it was taking some swipes intended
or not. And she's been generally pretty calculated with her comments.
But after the last game, kind of allowing us all
to infer that there's some disconnect between her and the
coaching staff in terms of how much of a run
she needs to feel in the game and all. So
(06:39):
to go up here and in your twenty nine minutes,
put up your requisite shots live at the fall one,
give you a forty five to ten four game. Yeah
it's Seattle and they stink, but so what So she
was a bum slayer and I you know what, they
were the next on the schedule, and this is what
we needed.

Yeah, look it's and maybe this is a little harbinger
getting to the free throw line as many times as possible.
There has to be some sort of stuff going on
behind closed doors, right, we talked about this over the
course of the past few nights. I can't believe that
they're not going to have a new commissioner in place.
Maybe before the end of the season. Maybe they just
allow Kathy Engelbert to finish out the year and go

away because her contract is up. But there's a reason
why she hasn't said anything. There has to be outside
of ineptness. It has to be that well, we know
Kathy Engelbert got us to this part, right, Kathy Angelbert
got us here with the WNBA, They got the new CBA.
Caitlin Clark is in the league. Okay, now they need
their own David Stern, right, because now to go back

and say Okay, Well, when Magic and Larry came into
the NBA, what did the NBA need? Okay, he needed
somebody with forethought to be able to push the stars
and push the league. They got David Stern and the
league is where it is right now because of David Stern.
The guys on the Mount rushmore of all time commissioners
and sports the WNBA needs that person. They need that person. Okay, Well,
as you like to say, uh, Kathy Engelbert is an

A to B commissioner, Right, you got who's who's gonna
get your B two C that's gonna take advantage of
everything going on, that's gonna tamp down the rhetoric that
goes on about Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese and Page
Beckers and everything else, and what's gonna continue to grow
the league. And the only thing that makes sense is
that she's not talking because hey, you're out after this year.
We have somebody that's gonna replace you, and that's who
(08:23):
we want to start setting the tone. We don't want
Kathy Engelbert to say some things and and make rulings
on stuff that the new commission's gonna go. Yeah, no, no,
we're not gonna do that. We'll do this instead, and
I want to That's what makes the most sense to me,
is that this and I'm hopeful that this part of
the conversation about Caitlin Clark will go away when when
new leadership comes into the w most likely after this season.

I'm hopeful that that's what's gonna happen. And we just
have to kind of get through the rest of this
year with every other day going look at the freeze
frame of this and Caitlyn Clark's foot has turned slightly
into the right. I can't believe that's not a foul.

How do you not call that on?
Speaker 1 (08:58):
I know, I don't believe. I believe that, Like I mean, really,
if we have the rest of the season for this
and they can fix it in the off season, okay,
we'll get through the rest of the season.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Yeah, I mean, as you talked about contracts up at
the end of the year and in the normally we
have the blame by here that you can go to
the credit bye and decide how much of the CBA
is her that they've broke her and how much of
the broadcast stuff versus people saying here Caitlin Clark, Angel
rees and all these people are good. Take my money,
(09:28):
whatever percentage you want to ascribe to it, that's all
fine and good. Adam Silver kind of did a little
bit of Bryson d Chambeau tap dancing when asked about
Engelbert in her future, saying, hey, well, you know it's
in consideration, and you know we're talking about things and no, no,
you could fix the glitch and just let it run
its course. She can get whatever credit for where the

league is, which is as a whole in terms of
its financials and reach and everything, far better off than
it was a year or two ago. Now it's just well,
where do you go? You know, what's the chase from
B two C. First part is cleaning up and actually
being accountable on a day to day basis for your product.
Like any brand manager of anything, sometimes you have to

answer the difficult questions. She's done everything she can to
avoid all that while getting her chipping in exit.

How about a Fresca exit, swallowing domp, Hey, hey, hey, people,
their golf games are very important to them, Mike Harmon,
I mean, come on, man, she couldn't sit down with
Dan Patrick Shaws. Obviously she was worried about You know, hey,

I want to make sure I get my swings in now.
Come on, She could have gotten the swings in. Maybe
maybe she went over time because she couldn't clear the mechanism.
Maybe that's the way she gets focused.

She needs to go and hit a bucket of balls
and get herself in the right state of mind before
she does an interview or attends to the business of
the league that she's in charge of.

But you know why they're gonna teach their own now,
you ought you ought to? You ought a funny story
like speaking of chipping, is that one time my wife
watched me as watched me play golf a little bit, right,
like when when I would go play with my dad
or my friends whenever it was, I don't play that
much anymore. When I would go play, I would play
all the time, and she one one time she was
gonna pick me up from the course when I was done.

She goes out, We were just in one of those
days where yeah, I'm out, she drops me off. I
played and I said, I'll call you when I'm done,
you come pick me up. Okay.

So she calls to say, hey, I'm I'll be there
in a bit. And I just finished my round and
she was, i'll be there in about a half hour.
She was at okay, said yeah, sure. I said, you
know what, I'll just I'll just go hit some balls
on the range for a few minutes and you come
and you pull right, and she says, okay, great. So
I didn't notice it, but I go and I'm hitting balls,
and at one point I decide, you know what, I'm
gonna chip a little bit, like I'm gona chip a

little bit, just spread. So I'm chipping and she parks
the car. She comes up and I didn't know, but
she's watching me for like, I don't know, thirty seconds
a minute. She looks at me and I try to oh, hey,
I didn't know. Here she goes, is that as far
as you can hit it?

Why is it?
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Is this why it takes you so long to play?
I go, no, I'm just chipping. Watch and I set
up a ball, tee it up and I hit it.
Hey that's how far I can hit the ball. I'll

going in the Hall of Fame so that he can
delay Eli getting into the Hall of Fame.

Logan Paul. You get Brady and Eli together in the
WWE ring that I would see now that I would
want to see.

Well, but ELI might actually win. And this based on history,
we know ELI is going to win. But the Tom
Brady revenge and I've figured this out, is He's going
to keep putting off his entry into the Hall of
Fame so that ELI has to wait even longer. So

least at least because it's just Brady's gonna hold him
back that well, you told.

because it's Brady's revenge, it's like you got to give

oh yeah, that's the greatest quarterback any of us have

Tom should be more like Joe DiMaggio and just walk
around and do nothing. But like you know, I know

Manning Brady thing, just keeps playing itself out. But yeah,
that's Tom shouldn't be doing any any of his other stuff.
He should be focused on, Like he should pick between
the broadcasting and being in charge of the raiders, like
choose one of those two and do them in a

dignified way. Getting into the ring with Logan Paul or
like doing doing that, uh that that roast. Don't do
those things. Those things, don't don't do those things.

Let me ask you, those things don't make you cool,

You know, I know I saw it, Fine Bomb said recently,
like you know, and I will say this, fun Bomb
has been wrong plenty of times, like especially when he said, arbag,
you know, like Harbaugh should quit at Michigan and give
it up and then like win the national championship like
that was my favorite favorite one. So so I don't

take Fine Moomb as necessarily the final say in all
of this, despite the fact that everybody tries to elevate
him to that to that status. But I will say
that Bill's not, like, let's just say this. One of
the great weaknesses that Bill has in navigating this college

atmosphere is having people around him who will tell him
this doesn't work. Instead, he has do boys like Michael
Lombardi next to him going oh yeah, the great grace.

You know.

It's it's sort of like Edelman with Brady. It's that
version of that version of Edelman and Brady is Michael
Lombardy and Belichick, And so what Marty does all these
really stupid things off to the side because he thinks
he has power, and then he thinks he has really
good ideas and he's really not a very smart guy, right,
(19:13):
He just you know, he's a great self promoter, but
he's not that smart guy. And so you just kind
of sit there and go, Yet, Bill, you need better
people around you. The only problem that Bill has is
Bill trusts no one. Like he's got one of the
smallest coaching staffs of all time because he doesn't trust
to hire new people. He doesn't trust to bring people
around him. And this all goes back to guess what,
(19:36):
he grew up in a military academy and he hates
and things that secrets are really really important. So he
doesn't trust anybody around him because nobody trusts anything when
they grew up in a military academy. So that's my
deep psychoanalysis of Bill Belichick and why it's probably not
going to work. It's just not going to work because

he's not geared to having some sess even though he's
the greatest, maybe the greatest coach of all times.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
See, I'll go more surface for you because this is
where I go, is that here he is today saying we're,
you know, so far ahead of where we were last year.
When last year he walked in like they were going
to reinvent college football. Oh wait, do you see what
we're going to do to this sport, nutrition, everything.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
But that was that was Lombardy. See that's see the
problem is that was not Belichick. That was Lombardi, and
that was how people were selling it that he's going
to revolutionize He's going to revolutionize college football because of
all his his you know, his his football actumen from
the from the NFL. And it's like, yeah, I heard

the same argument in reverse when they brought Chip Kelly
to the Eagles, like he's going to bring in all
these new fangled ideas and it's like now it's the
same old, stupid ideas and you're just not very good
at it. And with Bill it's like it's the same
old ideas. It's just it's football at the end of
the day. And you still have you don't have really

sophisticated people around you anymore, and you're not bringing more sophisticated,
smarter people around you because you don't trust them. You're
stuck with Michael Lombardy trying to work at the University
of North Carolina. Michael Lombarty's is an idiot. Don't use him.
He's bad. Don't do this.

And if you had a drinking game where you had
to do something when the name Lombardi was now you're
in trouble on a Friday.

They really are, Yeah, but they don't know anything. Like So, okay,
what kind of inside information are you getting when you
work for the Arizona Cardinals? Is that? Is that information
helping you when when bets? Or is it hurting you?

a couple of seconds, which I love. When crazy golf
stories or the number one stories of the day. But
just a little bit more on the Derek Jeter conversation.
We had a few minutes ago where Yankee fans want
Aaron Boone fired after tonight mismanaging Garrett Cole's situation. And
we've talked about this even a year ago, like, Hey,
(29:35):
I wonder how fast Derek Jeter would say yes if
the Yankees called him to manage the team. And and
I don't know that it because I think he would
say yes right away. And to push this story a
little bit further, I don't even know that you would
need to talk to Jeter and say, hey, we're gonna
(29:56):
sign you to be our manager full time. Like you
could even just say come in and help us and
manage the rest of this season. And if the Yankees win, great,
If not, Jeter came in and helped the Yankees for halfyear,
He's not gonna damage his legacy for anything. But just
think about how much just changing a manager can do
for a team. Right. Look at the Phillies, who Rob
(30:18):
Thompson won three NL east and and okay, Rob Thompson's
a pretty good manager. Well, the Phillies started out crappy.
They got rid of him, and look at where Mattingly
has the team right, It was Don Mattingly likely doing
things that is dad that are crazy new at Oh
my goodness, like Kyle Schwarber is gonna hit right handed.
I didn't know that was gonna work. Wow, look at
what's happening. No, but overall, whatever it was that got
(30:40):
the player's attention, and the Phillies are gonna catch the
Braves right, they're playing incredibly well. They're playing up to
their talent level. Sometimes just changing a manager changes the
energy and put and pushes things forward. Right. The Mets
needed to do it way earlier in the season than
they did. They waited till the season was over to
fire Carlsman's okay, great, you do it. After the twelve
game losing streak as bad as it was last year,
(31:02):
he couldn't pull them out of it. Twelve game this
is when you do it. But they didn't do it
fast enough. If Jeter came in to manage a team
the rest of this year, all of a sudden, he
takes the pressure off of everybody on the team. Nobody
is feeling it. Everybody wants to play for him. Nobody
would question anything Jeter would have to say. He would
come in right away, and the jolt of electricity that
(31:24):
the Yankees would get from bringing Jeter in would be immense.
And if the Yankees play well, and they play well
down the stretch, they win the Al East, they come
back and far to play. Hey, Derek, ju do you
want to let's talk about doing it full time. But
I think if you approach Jeter and said, hey, the
rest of this year, what can you come do this
for two and a half months, right or a little
bit over two months and get us where we need
(31:45):
to go. If you don't, hey it didn't work, and
we're we'll move on. Thanks for coming in and helping,
and we can talk about your two month stretch managing
the team. You scratch that itch, you know what it's
like to manage the team, and you go right into
managining the Yankees with and you leave without doing damage
to your legacy. Like I think that's how you would
probably approach it with Jeter and say, rest of this year,

come in and do it. I can't see him saying no, Well,
it's a bit of a free spin, right.

The toxicity of the current state of things when you
look at both Boone and Cashman, because Cashman's a guy
that just seems to have the blank check to keep doing.

What he's gonna do every year.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
Oh yeah, I mean I think we've asked John pal
Morosi for about eight straight years, like, are they ever
actually gonna look to move on from him? I mean
those you know, the Core four and Jeter and all
those guys. That's thirty years ago.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Okay, that's a long time.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
That's a long time in the past.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
For Jeter, it's a bit of a free spin obviously
at his odd. I guess from a business perspective, they
got the job done when he was down with the Marlins,
and he got one playoff Berth and all of that.
But the biggest thing is when we look at where
at right, the Mets take a bit of oxygen. The
Knicks winning gets every everybody's thirsty for a little more success.
(33:02):
So the the visceral reaction to a loss like tonight.
In the end, you get after Boone, it's like your
team scored no runs, man, Like, what do you want?
Speaker 3 (33:13):
You know?
Speaker 4 (33:14):
Your offense failed. But the problem is if you look
in the rear view mirror just to do a lane change.
You realize how hot the Red Sox are right now,
right eleven in a row, and a lot of their
young players rounding back into form. And Tampa's not going anywhere,
I think selfishly and and maybe tempting the fates of
(33:37):
the baseball gods. When camin Aro got hit the other night,
they go, okay, maybe that gives it. No, he's back
in the line. I've been ready to go. You got
no relief there either. Now he's a butcher in the field,
but he more than makes up for it in the plate.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Now again, we'll see, but I guarantee you, I like
I guarantee you that's something that he would do. Now.
I didn't think that Bryson D. Schambeau would be the
number one sports topic of the day. And I'm always
stunned when social media is agog over over something that's unexpected.
But what happened today during the Open Championship. I love
(34:14):
when I love so much, Mike. I love so much
when odd golf rules and odd golf situations or stories
because there's so much fun because I'm recovering them in
a big way. In the nineties, you know, with ESPN
and into when I was behind the camera and talking
about this, and when when really the birth of all
the crazy rule changes came about. Because now that we
(34:35):
have social media and it's easy to contact people. Yeah,
the crazy golf rules that we get fewer stories about them.
But man, did we get a great one today where
d Chambeau, who's been one of the best players on
tour the last few years and the big villain of
the PGA Tour and hero of the live golfer, got
(34:56):
a two stroke penalty for allegedly improving his law in
the tall grass before his second shot on the fifth hole.
Two stroke penalty. So he ends the day now four
back instead of where he could have been two back
going into this weekend. So upset him that he got
a two stroke penalty, he initially implied that maybe he
won't play Saturday. Now it looks like cooler heads have
(35:17):
prevailed a statement on social media saying, hey, this happened,
I'm past it. I'm ready to go for the weekend.
Now there is a lot of golf left one of
my dad's favorite phrases, A lot of golf left. So
he's got two days to make it up right now.
If he loses by two strokes or a stroke? Boy,
is that going to be fun? But to get into this,
what happened with d Chambeau. He hits a shot that
(35:41):
goes way right right, and he actually hits a provisional
shot in case he couldn't find his ball right, So
now he hits provisional shot, goes out to find a
second ball and looking in an area where he thought
the ball was because there's a lot of tall grass
and d Schambeau goes in there and he starts stomping around,
and because of that, he gets a two stroke penalty
(36:03):
because the officials ruled that he was trying to improve
his lie. He was trying to whether you know, there's
many different things in improving your life falls under. There's
building a stance, there's manufacturing stands, there's improving your lie.
And they said he was improving his lie. And I
can't believe there's one person that's defending him saying that
there's no reason why they would do this. I mean,
(36:24):
I really, anybody that's ever seen a golf tournament before
knows that de Chambeau walked into that grass and starts
stomping around, hoping that when I find the ball. The
grass is down on the ground. I've stomped it down
enough so when I take a swing, I don't catch
the grass on my back swing or my follow through.
That's the I mean, watch him walk in. Nobody walks
(36:45):
that way. You're supposed to walk in very gingerly, so
you don't disturb the ball. You know, the ball doesn't move,
You don't disturb anything. That's how you do it. But
he goes in. I'm just stomping around because I'm trying
to flatten the grass. What is he doing? He's trying
to improve his lie. Now, you could talk about the
craziness of the rules of golf and say I agree
with this or I disagree with this. No, and I
get that that's a conversation, but really, don't think he
(37:08):
was trying to reprove his life. I can't again, I
can't believe the number of people, even with check marks,
that are saying, yeah, I mean, how do you know
what he's trying to do? Oh, come on, man, the guy.
The guy is just one step short of pulling out
a wheat whacker, trying to get rid of all of
the trying to get rid of all the grass. Right,
if he had if he had a lighter on him,
he would have just lit that lighter, just burned that
grass in the ground. Oh there's the ball right there.
(37:29):
I'm gonna hit it like he obviously is stomping around
like he is a w W E wreustler at the
beginning of a match, just trying to create a lot
of sound and a lot of fury. I'm stomping around
here like he absolutely is doing that. I can't believe
anybody is defending him on this.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
Well.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
I mean the oba Femi strut. You can google it Smith,
You'll appreciate it. His long strut to the the ring
really fits this appropriately. Look, des Chambeau, I mean we
watched the footage a million times. Get to and takes
a couple of big steps around, then does the all right,
let me look at my vantage point and kind of
(38:06):
takes a couple of baby steps back and kind of
leaning back, and then you get the the fescue.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
The word of the week is fescue. It's that bent.
Fescue and swale are my two favorite words. The swale
has not been used enough this this tournament. Fescue has
been used a lot.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Are you referring to the famous racehorse Swale.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Uh no, that's how they they Well, I could have
been talking about Swale. Well come on too soon, on Sweal?
Come on man, yeah, yeah, come on.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
But yeah, I mean I I just love the the
verbiage used by the by the official when he had
to meet the media. It's like, even if accidental, as
we believe it was in this case, like no, no, no, no, no,
you you don't buy that for a second. No, don't
try to say that you saw what he did. You
had the animated discussion that everybody's now putting Mystery Science
(38:57):
Theater three thousand commentary too, which is kind of funny.
But even if it's unintentional, this is your attempt and
doesn't work to improve your lie even a little bit.
And what happens after you actually take the shot doesn't matter, right,
It's all what happens and the proceedings to get to there.
(39:20):
He was trying to argue that the club vertically cleared
that it's not part of the swing. It's like, no,
but I think everybody that and we talk about sports
and the sanctity of rules and interpretations whatever. Nobody's bigger
than this than rabid golf guy hockey guy might be second,
(39:40):
maybe soccer guys there, but certainly golf and the rules
and etiquette of golf. I mean, how many comedies have
been made about the etiquette of golf and abiding that's
a rule? Really, that's no like all of that stuff,
the fact that you know they quiet around the tea
(40:01):
box and and everything else, like no, no, no, it's
a there's a rule, there's an etiquette, there's whatever. And
here Deschambeau clearly like an easy, easy guy that is
polarizing whether you loved or hated live here. He is
competing in the final major of the year and he
made a major mistake.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
Now, when you go back, I want to just say this,
first of all, when you said fescue, were you doing
that for famed Kansas City personality Bob Fesco.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
He's a friend of Ben Mallards. To get Bob nicely done? Yeah,
that was well done. That is that is great radio
knowledge right there. Yeah, there's not enough thing that. There's
not enough things you can get to that sound like fescue,
But you can get Bob Fesco in Uh.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Look this this history of crazy golf rules goes way
back and it's and it's fun. Like I again, I
remember going back to a turnabent. I want to say
it was Craig Stadler who had to get a penalty
because there was a shot he had to take and
it was like under a tree. So he put down
(41:08):
a towel so he could just kneel on it to
keep his pants clean to take a shot. And somebody
called in from home. This is how it used to work,
people watching the broadcast. Hey, that's building a stance or
manufacturing a stance. Can't do it. And he had a
penalty just to keep his pant didn't help him with
the shot. Just i't want to keep my pants clean. Nope, nope,
that's helping you building a shot. Right. What about the
(41:30):
guy fifteen years ago who called in during the Masters
saying you're using manufactured bird sound effects? Oh, come on, man,
your nuts, that's not happening. You're too much conspiracy theory.
Oh no, we actually are using manufactured sound effects. Yeah,
the whipper will is not native to the Greater Augusta area. Like,
these rules are just insane, But I kind of liked
(41:50):
that the average person could see something going going on
in a sport and make a phone call and go, heyay,
he can't do this, Hey can't do it. I mean,
now Royal and Ancient, they're on it, right, they were
on to With d Schambeau stopping around, that's going to
need somebody to call in. But I kind of like that.
I kind of feel like, if you know you, we
could do that for the NBA playoffs, maybe things would
turn out a little bit differently, and maybe the Nicks
(42:11):
would have swept because Webby would have fouled out of
all the NBA Finals games that could have happened, right,
because you have a lot of you got a lot
of NBA comparisons here because people are losing their minds
on social media that John Rahm didn't get a penalty
for throwing his club, but yet d Chambeau got this.
This takes me back to the NBA Finals where it
was like, how does Wemby not get a flagrant? He's
(42:33):
trying to kick and tear oh Gianner Nobi's knee, He
doesn't get it, but kat Get gets a foul for this.
They overturn that, Like, I feel like we're just rolling
from one guy he's from refereeing controversy to another. We'll
get back to soccer on Sunday. How is this a penalty?
How is this not a penalty? How is this a
red card? How is this not a red card? How
(42:54):
is throwing your club not a penalty? You get a warning?
How is this a two stroke penalty? For d Chambeau,
I dig that.

Yeah, Stadler at the at Tory Pines was disqualified because
he signed an incorrect scorecard. He was building a stance
to get to that penalty, So you had that. I
think we should do this like American Idol, especially in
the early years. I'll call for your favorite guy right now.
So whenever there's a TV review of any call var soccer,

we go to the tape and we go to New
York for the NBA. You can call in and sway
the outcome.

It's like it's partly the guy in the booth, but

was great because I let a super cut of a

you know, hitting balls deep into the night, so he'll
be ready and trying to make his run here, just
a couple of shots off the lead, but you know
it's just the the breakdown, particularly of the Bridge broadcaster
were the best. It's like the sanctity of the game.

Oh yeah, they would be derelict in their duties underd
Ad minister a two stroke penalty. It's quite obvious to
anyone what he was trying to do. And a couple
of guys came close to incriminating themselves on friendly rounds
with their buddies and stop short.

not stepping in? Why does a league seem to hate her?

It's been an endless cycle of this, Right, These are
the headlines that the WNB and Caitlin Clark need. They need. Hey,
forty ten nights. If you're gonna be the biggest star
in the game. We need stories where you are the
biggest star of the game. And no matter what you
you wanna and how you want to cut up things,
whether you're you're Michael Jordan, or you're Tom Brady, or

you're Aaron Rodgers whoever you are, or you're Jalen Brunson,
whatever it is, you can be someone that gains a
lot of headlines. But you know, hey, pretty regularly you
gotta give a oh yeah, by the way, yeah, here's
a forty point night, here's a four touchdown night. Like, like,
we haven't had those kinds to Knights from Caitlin Clark
as often as we do because of injury, you know,
you know, talk about her fitting into the system, and look,
(04:07):
the Fever are really talented. They they have a big
starting five coming off the bench. We know of Sophie
Cunningham's story, but like, if you're the best player, if
you're the star, yeah, these are the You need these
a little bit more often when it comes because it's
nice to say, oh, Katelan Clark had a good game
with sixteen points and seven assists. Okay, but you know what,
there's lots of cars like No. Sixteen and seven. Right, Hey,
(04:27):
Paige Becker seems to be having knights above that pretty
regularly over the course of the last year plus. Like,
these are the games that we expected from Caitlin Clark,
and it's weird to think that, wait, you expected these
kind of get Yeah. I think we all expected these
kind of games from Kitlin Clark when she came into
the w because she completely rewrote the record books in
college basketball and the impact that she had. I honestly
(04:50):
I expected maybe, I don't know by this point, I
don't know, in three years into the league and you know,
you're talking about thirty games and you know, I don't know,
I expected maybe maybe ten forty point games were at
this point, you know, is something like that some kind
of night? I mean, I know, you know, you play
less minutes and obviously, you know, the point totals aren't
(05:11):
really as high as the NBA. The pace isn't as
it is in the NBA, and the three point shot
making is not what it is in the NBA. But
I still kind of these were more of the games
I expected from her that now it's nice to get
them and it's a memory that, oh yeah, as good
as she's been like, you know, these kind of games
have kind of eluded her for a while.

Yeah, we're talking just a handful of games with twenty
five plus third thirty point game of the season lived
at the foul line. So maybe she'll start getting a
friendly or whistle what was it, seventeen of nineteen from
the fall line today, so getting it done there. Also
had four steals, but you saw and as you go
and review the highlight reel, you get some of those
(05:53):
patented step backs from Moon launches, like a Steph Curry
kind of thing where she's feeling the deep, deep touch
as this game wore on. But yeah, it's been an odd,
odd run, right. You go back to her rookie year
and we saw the consistency and things were getting into
a flow. Last year riddled with injury, this year injury

and then you know it was taking some swipes intended
or not. And she's been generally pretty calculated with her comments.
But after the last game, kind of allowing us all
to infer that there's some disconnect between her and the
coaching staff in terms of how much of a run
she needs to feel in the game and all. So

to go up here and in your twenty nine minutes,
put up your requisite shots live at the fall one,
give you a forty five to ten four game. Yeah
it's Seattle and they stink, but so what So she
was a bum slayer and I you know what, they
were the next on the schedule, and this is what
we needed.

Yeah, look it's and maybe this is a little harbinger
getting to the free throw line as many times as possible.
There has to be some sort of stuff going on
behind closed doors, right, we talked about this over the
course of the past few nights. I can't believe that

why she hasn't said anything. There has to be outside
of ineptness. It has to be that well, we know

got us here with the WNBA, They got the new CBA.
Caitlin Clark is in the league. Okay, now they need
their own David Stern, right, because now to go back

and say Okay, Well, when Magic and Larry came into
the NBA, what did the NBA need? Okay, he needed
somebody with forethought to be able to push the stars
and push the league. They got David Stern and the
league is where it is right now because of David Stern.
The guys on the Mount rushmore of all time commissioners
and sports the WNBA needs that person. They need that person. Okay, Well,
as you like to say, uh, Kathy Engelbert is an

A to B commissioner, Right, you got who's who's gonna
get your B two C that's gonna take advantage of
everything going on, that's gonna tamp down the rhetoric that
goes on about Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese and Page
Beckers and everything else, and what's gonna continue to grow
the league. And the only thing that makes sense is
that she's not talking because hey, you're out after this year.
We have somebody that's gonna replace you, and that's who
(08:23):
we want to start setting the tone. We don't want
Kathy Engelbert to say some things and and make rulings
on stuff that the new commission's gonna go. Yeah, no, no,
we're not gonna do that. We'll do this instead, and
I want to That's what makes the most sense to me,
is that this and I'm hopeful that this part of
the conversation about Caitlin Clark will go away when when
new leadership comes into the w most likely after this season.

I'm hopeful that that's what's gonna happen. And we just
have to kind of get through the rest of this
year with every other day going look at the freeze
frame of this and Caitlyn Clark's foot has turned slightly
into the right. I can't believe that's not a foul.

I know, I don't believe. I believe that, Like I mean, really,
if we have the rest of the season for this
and they can fix it in the off season, okay,
we'll get through the rest of the season.

Yeah, I mean, as you talked about contracts up at
the end of the year and in the normally we
have the blame by here that you can go to
the credit bye and decide how much of the CBA
is her that they've broke her and how much of
the broadcast stuff versus people saying here Caitlin Clark, Angel
rees and all these people are good. Take my money,

whatever percentage you want to ascribe to it, that's all
fine and good. Adam Silver kind of did a little
bit of Bryson d Chambeau tap dancing when asked about
Engelbert in her future, saying, hey, well, you know it's
in consideration, and you know we're talking about things and no, no,
you could fix the glitch and just let it run
its course. She can get whatever credit for where the

league is, which is as a whole in terms of
its financials and reach and everything, far better off than
it was a year or two ago. Now it's just well,
where do you go? You know, what's the chase from
B two C. First part is cleaning up and actually
being accountable on a day to day basis for your product.
Like any brand manager of anything, sometimes you have to

answer the difficult questions. She's done everything she can to
avoid all that while getting her chipping in exit.

How about a Fresca exit, swallowing domp, Hey, hey, hey, people,
their golf games are very important to them, Mike Harmon,
I mean, come on, man, she couldn't sit down with
Dan Patrick Shaws. Obviously she was worried about You know, hey,

Come on, She could have gotten the swings in. Maybe

watched me as watched me play golf a little bit, right,
like when when I would go play with my dad
or my friends whenever it was, I don't play that

all the time, and she one one time she was
gonna pick me up from the course when I was done.

She goes out, We were just in one of those
days where yeah, I'm out, she drops me off. I
played and I said, I'll call you when I'm done,
you come pick me up. Okay.

in a bit. And I just finished my round and
she was, i'll be there in about a half hour.

and you pull right, and she says, okay, great. So
I didn't notice it, but I go and I'm hitting balls,
and at one point I decide, you know what, I'm
gonna chip a little bit, like I'm gona chip a

little bit, just spread. So I'm chipping and she parks
the car. She comes up and I didn't know, but
she's watching me for like, I don't know, thirty seconds
a minute. She looks at me and I try to oh, hey,
I didn't know. Here she goes, is that as far
as you can hit it?

Is this why it takes you so long to play?
I go, no, I'm just chipping. Watch and I set
up a ball, tee it up and I hit it.

oh yeah, that's the greatest quarterback any of us have

Tom should be more like Joe DiMaggio and just walk
around and do nothing. But like you know, I know
the only problem is, like Peyton has stole every commercial

because Peyton just keeps stealing those. So that's the whole
Manning Brady thing, just keeps playing itself out. But yeah,
that's Tom shouldn't be doing any any of his other stuff.
He should be focused on, Like he should pick between
the broadcasting and being in charge of the raiders, like
choose one of those two and do them in a

dignified way. Getting into the ring with Logan Paul or
like doing doing that, uh that that roast. Don't do
those things. Those things, don't don't do those things.

Let me ask you, those things don't make you cool,

You know, I know I saw it, Fine Bomb said recently,
like you know, and I will say this, fun Bomb
has been wrong plenty of times, like especially when he said, arbag,
you know, like Harbaugh should quit at Michigan and give
it up and then like win the national championship like
that was my favorite favorite one. So so I don't

take Fine Moomb as necessarily the final say in all
of this, despite the fact that everybody tries to elevate
him to that to that status. But I will say
that Bill's not, like, let's just say this. One of
the great weaknesses that Bill has in navigating this college

atmosphere is having people around him who will tell him
this doesn't work. Instead, he has do boys like Michael
Lombardi next to him going oh yeah, the great grace.

You know.

It's it's sort of like Edelman with Brady. It's that
version of that version of Edelman and Brady is Michael
Lombardy and Belichick, And so what Marty does all these
really stupid things off to the side because he thinks
he has power, and then he thinks he has really
good ideas and he's really not a very smart guy, right,
(19:13):
He just you know, he's a great self promoter, but
he's not that smart guy. And so you just kind
of sit there and go, Yet, Bill, you need better
people around you. The only problem that Bill has is
Bill trusts no one. Like he's got one of the
smallest coaching staffs of all time because he doesn't trust
to hire new people. He doesn't trust to bring people
around him. And this all goes back to guess what,
(19:36):
he grew up in a military academy and he hates
and things that secrets are really really important. So he
doesn't trust anybody around him because nobody trusts anything when
they grew up in a military academy. So that's my
deep psychoanalysis of Bill Belichick and why it's probably not
going to work. It's just not going to work because
(19:58):
he's not geared to having some sess even though he's
the greatest, maybe the greatest coach of all times.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
See, I'll go more surface for you because this is
where I go, is that here he is today saying we're,
you know, so far ahead of where we were last year.
When last year he walked in like they were going
to reinvent college football. Oh wait, do you see what
we're going to do to this sport, nutrition, everything.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
But that was that was Lombardy. See that's see the
problem is that was not Belichick. That was Lombardi, and
that was how people were selling it that he's going
to revolutionize He's going to revolutionize college football because of
all his his you know, his his football actumen from
the from the NFL. And it's like, yeah, I heard
(20:41):
the same argument in reverse when they brought Chip Kelly
to the Eagles, like he's going to bring in all
these new fangled ideas and it's like now it's the
same old, stupid ideas and you're just not very good
at it. And with Bill it's like it's the same
old ideas. It's just it's football at the end of
the day. And you still have you don't have really

sophisticated people around you anymore, and you're not bringing more sophisticated,
smarter people around you because you don't trust them. You're
stuck with Michael Lombardy trying to work at the University
of North Carolina. Michael Lombarty's is an idiot. Don't use him.
He's bad. Don't do this.

And if you had a drinking game where you had
to do something when the name Lombardi was now you're
in trouble on a Friday.

Well, I mean they're barely in the league, but I
mean they still count, they still get their thirty seconds.

what kind of inside information are you getting when you
work for the Arizona Cardinals? Is that? Is that information
helping you when when bets? Or is it hurting you?

The bottom line, the bottom line point is you work
for an organization that doesn't know what it's doing. So

We had a few minutes ago where Yankee fans want
Aaron Boone fired after tonight mismanaging Garrett Cole's situation. And
we've talked about this even a year ago, like, Hey,
(29:35):
I wonder how fast Derek Jeter would say yes if
the Yankees called him to manage the team. And and
I don't know that it because I think he would
say yes right away. And to push this story a
little bit further, I don't even know that you would
need to talk to Jeter and say, hey, we're gonna
(29:56):
sign you to be our manager full time. Like you
could even just say come in and help us and
manage the rest of this season. And if the Yankees win, great,
If not, Jeter came in and helped the Yankees for halfyear,
He's not gonna damage his legacy for anything. But just
think about how much just changing a manager can do
for a team. Right. Look at the Phillies, who Rob
(30:18):
Thompson won three NL east and and okay, Rob Thompson's
a pretty good manager. Well, the Phillies started out crappy.
They got rid of him, and look at where Mattingly
has the team right, It was Don Mattingly likely doing
things that is dad that are crazy new at Oh
my goodness, like Kyle Schwarber is gonna hit right handed.
I didn't know that was gonna work. Wow, look at
what's happening. No, but overall, whatever it was that got
(30:40):
the player's attention, and the Phillies are gonna catch the
Braves right, they're playing incredibly well. They're playing up to
their talent level. Sometimes just changing a manager changes the
energy and put and pushes things forward. Right. The Mets
needed to do it way earlier in the season than
they did. They waited till the season was over to
fire Carlsman's okay, great, you do it. After the twelve
game losing streak as bad as it was last year,
(31:02):
he couldn't pull them out of it. Twelve game this
is when you do it. But they didn't do it
fast enough. If Jeter came in to manage a team
the rest of this year, all of a sudden, he
takes the pressure off of everybody on the team. Nobody
is feeling it. Everybody wants to play for him. Nobody
would question anything Jeter would have to say. He would
come in right away, and the jolt of electricity that
(31:24):
the Yankees would get from bringing Jeter in would be immense.
And if the Yankees play well, and they play well
down the stretch, they win the Al East, they come
back and far to play. Hey, Derek, ju do you
want to let's talk about doing it full time. But
I think if you approach Jeter and said, hey, the
rest of this year, what can you come do this
for two and a half months, right or a little
bit over two months and get us where we need
(31:45):
to go. If you don't, hey it didn't work, and
we're we'll move on. Thanks for coming in and helping,
and we can talk about your two month stretch managing
the team. You scratch that itch, you know what it's
like to manage the team, and you go right into
managining the Yankees with and you leave without doing damage
to your legacy. Like I think that's how you would
probably approach it with Jeter and say, rest of this year,
(32:05):
come in and do it. I can't see him saying no, Well,
it's a bit of a free spin, right.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
The toxicity of the current state of things when you
look at both Boone and Cashman, because Cashman's a guy
that just seems to have the blank check to keep doing.

What he's gonna do every year.

Oh yeah, I mean I think we've asked John pal
Morosi for about eight straight years, like, are they ever
actually gonna look to move on from him? I mean
those you know, the Core four and Jeter and all
those guys. That's thirty years ago.

That's a long time in the past.

For Jeter, it's a bit of a free spin obviously
at his odd. I guess from a business perspective, they
got the job done when he was down with the Marlins,
and he got one playoff Berth and all of that.
But the biggest thing is when we look at where
at right, the Mets take a bit of oxygen. The
Knicks winning gets every everybody's thirsty for a little more success.

So the the visceral reaction to a loss like tonight.
In the end, you get after Boone, it's like your
team scored no runs, man, Like, what do you want?

Your offense failed. But the problem is if you look
in the rear view mirror just to do a lane change.
You realize how hot the Red Sox are right now,
right eleven in a row, and a lot of their
young players rounding back into form. And Tampa's not going anywhere,
I think selfishly and and maybe tempting the fates of

the baseball gods. When camin Aro got hit the other night,
they go, okay, maybe that gives it. No, he's back
in the line. I've been ready to go. You got
no relief there either. Now he's a butcher in the field,
but he more than makes up for it in the plate.

Now again, we'll see, but I guarantee you, I like
I guarantee you that's something that he would do. Now.
I didn't think that Bryson D. Schambeau would be the
number one sports topic of the day. And I'm always
stunned when social media is agog over over something that's unexpected.
But what happened today during the Open Championship. I love
(34:14):
when I love so much, Mike. I love so much
when odd golf rules and odd golf situations or stories
because there's so much fun because I'm recovering them in
a big way. In the nineties, you know, with ESPN
and into when I was behind the camera and talking
about this, and when when really the birth of all
the crazy rule changes came about. Because now that we
(34:35):
have social media and it's easy to contact people. Yeah,
the crazy golf rules that we get fewer stories about them.
But man, did we get a great one today where
d Chambeau, who's been one of the best players on
tour the last few years and the big villain of
the PGA Tour and hero of the live golfer, got
(34:56):
a two stroke penalty for allegedly improving his law in
the tall grass before his second shot on the fifth hole.
Two stroke penalty. So he ends the day now four
back instead of where he could have been two back
going into this weekend. So upset him that he got
a two stroke penalty, he initially implied that maybe he
won't play Saturday. Now it looks like cooler heads have
(35:17):
prevailed a statement on social media saying, hey, this happened,
I'm past it. I'm ready to go for the weekend.
Now there is a lot of golf left one of
my dad's favorite phrases, A lot of golf left. So
he's got two days to make it up right now.
If he loses by two strokes or a stroke? Boy,
is that going to be fun? But to get into this,
what happened with d Chambeau. He hits a shot that
(35:41):
goes way right right, and he actually hits a provisional
shot in case he couldn't find his ball right, So
now he hits provisional shot, goes out to find a
second ball and looking in an area where he thought
the ball was because there's a lot of tall grass
and d Schambeau goes in there and he starts stomping around,
and because of that, he gets a two stroke penalty
(36:03):
because the officials ruled that he was trying to improve
his lie. He was trying to whether you know, there's
many different things in improving your life falls under. There's
building a stance, there's manufacturing stands, there's improving your lie.
And they said he was improving his lie. And I
can't believe there's one person that's defending him saying that
there's no reason why they would do this. I mean,
(36:24):
I really, anybody that's ever seen a golf tournament before
knows that de Chambeau walked into that grass and starts
stomping around, hoping that when I find the ball. The
grass is down on the ground. I've stomped it down
enough so when I take a swing, I don't catch
the grass on my back swing or my follow through.
That's the I mean, watch him walk in. Nobody walks
(36:45):
that way. You're supposed to walk in very gingerly, so
you don't disturb the ball. You know, the ball doesn't move,
You don't disturb anything. That's how you do it. But
he goes in. I'm just stomping around because I'm trying
to flatten the grass. What is he doing? He's trying
to improve his lie. Now, you could talk about the
craziness of the rules of golf and say I agree
with this or I disagree with this. No, and I
get that that's a conversation, but really, don't think he
(37:08):
was trying to reprove his life. I can't again, I
can't believe the number of people, even with check marks,
that are saying, yeah, I mean, how do you know
what he's trying to do? Oh, come on, man, the guy.
The guy is just one step short of pulling out
a wheat whacker, trying to get rid of all of
the trying to get rid of all the grass. Right,
if he had if he had a lighter on him,
he would have just lit that lighter, just burned that
grass in the ground. Oh there's the ball right there.
(37:29):
I'm gonna hit it like he obviously is stomping around
like he is a w W E wreustler at the
beginning of a match, just trying to create a lot
of sound and a lot of fury. I'm stomping around
here like he absolutely is doing that. I can't believe
anybody is defending him on this.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
Well.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
I mean the oba Femi strut. You can google it Smith,
You'll appreciate it. His long strut to the the ring
really fits this appropriately. Look, des Chambeau, I mean we
watched the footage a million times. Get to and takes
a couple of big steps around, then does the all right,
let me look at my vantage point and kind of
(38:06):
takes a couple of baby steps back and kind of
leaning back, and then you get the the fescue.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
The word of the week is fescue. It's that bent.
Fescue and swale are my two favorite words. The swale
has not been used enough this this tournament. Fescue has
been used a lot.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Are you referring to the famous racehorse Swale.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Uh no, that's how they they Well, I could have
been talking about Swale. Well come on too soon, on Sweal?
Come on man, yeah, yeah, come on.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
But yeah, I mean I I just love the the
verbiage used by the by the official when he had
to meet the media. It's like, even if accidental, as
we believe it was in this case, like no, no, no, no, no,
you you don't buy that for a second. No, don't
try to say that you saw what he did. You
had the animated discussion that everybody's now putting Mystery Science
(38:57):
Theater three thousand commentary too, which is kind of funny.
But even if it's unintentional, this is your attempt and
doesn't work to improve your lie even a little bit.
And what happens after you actually take the shot doesn't matter, right,
It's all what happens and the proceedings to get to there.
(39:20):
He was trying to argue that the club vertically cleared
that it's not part of the swing. It's like, no,
but I think everybody that and we talk about sports
and the sanctity of rules and interpretations whatever. Nobody's bigger
than this than rabid golf guy hockey guy might be second,
(39:40):
maybe soccer guys there, but certainly golf and the rules
and etiquette of golf. I mean, how many comedies have
been made about the etiquette of golf and abiding that's
a rule? Really, that's no like all of that stuff,
the fact that you know they quiet around the tea
(40:01):
box and and everything else, like no, no, no, it's
a there's a rule, there's an etiquette, there's whatever. And
here Deschambeau clearly like an easy, easy guy that is
polarizing whether you loved or hated live here. He is
competing in the final major of the year and he
made a major mistake.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
Now, when you go back, I want to just say this,
first of all, when you said fescue, were you doing
that for famed Kansas City personality Bob Fesco.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
He's a friend of Ben Mallards. To get Bob nicely done? Yeah,
that was well done. That is that is great radio
knowledge right there. Yeah, there's not enough thing that. There's
not enough things you can get to that sound like fescue,
But you can get Bob Fesco in Uh.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Look this this history of crazy golf rules goes way
back and it's and it's fun. Like I again, I
remember going back to a turnabent. I want to say
it was Craig Stadler who had to get a penalty
because there was a shot he had to take and
it was like under a tree. So he put down
(41:08):
a towel so he could just kneel on it to
keep his pants clean to take a shot. And somebody
called in from home. This is how it used to work,
people watching the broadcast. Hey, that's building a stance or
manufacturing a stance. Can't do it. And he had a
penalty just to keep his pant didn't help him with
the shot. Just i't want to keep my pants clean. Nope, nope,
that's helping you building a shot. Right. What about the
(41:30):
guy fifteen years ago who called in during the Masters
saying you're using manufactured bird sound effects? Oh, come on, man,
your nuts, that's not happening. You're too much conspiracy theory.
Oh no, we actually are using manufactured sound effects. Yeah,
the whipper will is not native to the Greater Augusta area. Like,
these rules are just insane, But I kind of liked
(41:50):
that the average person could see something going going on
in a sport and make a phone call and go, heyay,
he can't do this, Hey can't do it. I mean,
now Royal and Ancient, they're on it, right, they were
on to With d Schambeau stopping around, that's going to
need somebody to call in. But I kind of like that.
I kind of feel like, if you know you, we
could do that for the NBA playoffs, maybe things would
turn out a little bit differently, and maybe the Nicks
(42:11):
would have swept because Webby would have fouled out of
all the NBA Finals games that could have happened, right,
because you have a lot of you got a lot
of NBA comparisons here because people are losing their minds
on social media that John Rahm didn't get a penalty
for throwing his club, but yet d Chambeau got this.
This takes me back to the NBA Finals where it
was like, how does Wemby not get a flagrant? He's
(42:33):
trying to kick and tear oh Gianner Nobi's knee, He
doesn't get it, but kat Get gets a foul for this.
They overturn that, Like, I feel like we're just rolling
from one guy he's from refereeing controversy to another. We'll
get back to soccer on Sunday. How is this a penalty?
How is this not a penalty? How is this a
red card? How is this not a red card? How
(42:54):
is throwing your club not a penalty? You get a warning?
How is this a two stroke penalty? For d Chambeau,
I dig that.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
Yeah, Stadler at the at Tory Pines was disqualified because
he signed an incorrect scorecard. He was building a stance
to get to that penalty, So you had that. I
think we should do this like American Idol, especially in
the early years. I'll call for your favorite guy right now.
So whenever there's a TV review of any call var soccer,
(43:23):
we go to the tape and we go to New
York for the NBA. You can call in and sway
the outcome.

No, that's all voting right.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
It's like it's partly the guy in the booth, but
your audience at home helps to define was the call right?

was great because I let a super cut of a

you know, hitting balls deep into the night, so he'll
be ready and trying to make his run here, just
a couple of shots off the lead, but you know
it's just the the breakdown, particularly of the Bridge broadcaster
were the best. It's like the sanctity of the game.

Oh yeah, they would be derelict in their duties underd
Ad minister a two stroke penalty. It's quite obvious to
anyone what he was trying to do. And a couple
of guys came close to incriminating themselves on friendly rounds
with their buddies and stop short.
