Speaker 3 (00:56):
Dad.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Remember everything you say at some point in your life
from when you were born until now, Alex Tischer will
find a way, either through AI or some other way
to play it back on it.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
I am an ass man.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
As you can see that that's going to run all night.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Apparently, what a great world we live in.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah, hey, make sure your mom's listening. She is call
your mom right now, make sure she's listening on Oh
so today, okay, so hang on a second really quick.
So today you know Spanish?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
When I texted you yesterday in Spanish about the Clippers
Knicks game after the Knicks right the floor with your clippers,
you gave me back noblomo. Oh now you're speaking now
you can speak Spanish.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
You know, sometimes it happens, you know, in the moment
when you texted me in Spanish, I did not understand it.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I thought it was another language.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
What are you talking about? I went to the Spanish
It was translator on Google gave me the exact word. Yeah,
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
You went most Clippers clus Nicks. Yes, No, I know.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
And I was like, how do I respond? Do I
say in English that I don't understand Spanish? Or do
I say in Spanish that I don't understand Spanish?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I say in Spanish that I don't understand Spanish. Okay,
sure that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, I don't want to talk about that game it
gave you.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I gave you York.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, no, I heard it. I heard you singing it
in Spanish.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
It's not as, it's not as, it's not as lyrical
as it is in English New York, New York. What
do you go to York formost York. It's it's too
much to.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Say it doesn't work.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
It's absolutely too much.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
So are you okay after that beatdown that you guys
got yesterday?

Speaker 4 (02:31):
I mean, I'm not okay, but I had other beatdowns,
you know, throughout the season, so you're used to it
exactly as a Clippers fan.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I'm more upset that you hurt Kawhi Leonard Ankle.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
We didn't hurt.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yes, you did.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
No, we didn't.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
It's your fault.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Kawhi Leonard when he walks around every day is in
danger of getting hurt. We didn't do anything.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
No, it was absolutely your fault at Madison Square Garden.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I don't know who else to blame but you.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Specifically Jason Smith Me, yeah, not likely, not more specifically
it's me.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yes, I put out the karma, going, oh that's it. No,
Kawhi Leonard when he wakes up in the morning is
at risk of getting hurt. So so yeah, that's how.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
It comes, just because it's accurate, but it's also right.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
They've signed him twelve years ago, and he's played in
eight games since they've signed him. Okay, just and they
still keep giving him more money. So I was gonna
give the more games he misses, the more money he gets.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
LA.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Let's keep giving Kawhile money. How many games he missed
more games this year than last year. Give him more money,
give him more, give more. So while the while the
Knicks are enjoying, you know, resting tonight after that, well
they kind of broke a sweat against the Clippers game
one of the College football Playoffs semifinal. Right now, early
in the third quarter, still Carson Beck has just scrambled

(03:43):
for a first down, Miami with the lead over Ole
Miss seventeen thirteen. Both Miami and Ole Miss have missed
field goals. Ole Miss had a doink that could have
cut the lead to one, and now Miami has crossed midfield.
The game is starting to open up a little bit
after a first quarter. I gotta be honest because I
know you, I know the gambler. You are wearing your

(04:03):
wearing your green visor into work tonight.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
With my cigarette like my number one.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I'm gonna put all this money on this game, all
the money that my nephew is going to college, Johnny,
he doesn't know. Y.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
That's right, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
The number one The number one thing that I liked
the most about this game was the under. Right. Miami's
defense has been playing terrific. Both quarterbacks have look Carson
Beck has been game. We'll have more in him in
a couple minutes, but he's kind of been game managing
his way through the playoff. I really like the fact
that I thought Miami was gonna be able to hold
down Chamberliss and hold down the offense on Ole Miss

(04:37):
and Miami would have their typical you know, twenty five
play thirty yard drive, you know, take twelve minutes off
the clock for a field goal. And I was feeling
great after the first quarter and then Kawan Lacy runs
for a touchdown first play the second quarter. I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, Now,
now the over is gonna hit. Come on, man, we're
at thirty points already. I was feeling so good about
the under and now I'm like, you know, it's just

(04:59):
gonna be some big chunk plays now between now and
the end of the game.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
What was the over under? I think close a fifty
one and a half, fifty.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
One and a half.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
And you know, I hear what you're saying, especially just
because Miami's defense is the real deal.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
That's why they're here.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
It's not necessarily Carson Beck in the offense we have
not seen necessarily. I feel like Carson Beck might give
you a really hot game. He might not give you
a hot game. It's more like the defense of Miami
that keeps some in all these games.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
And so I hear what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
But like Shrinidad Chandliss has been like lightning, and you
know what I'm saying, Like he's been so awesome that
if he gets hot, we've seen him get hot, even
if it's just.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
For one quarter. He could put up twenty one points
in a quarter if he if he gets hot.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
So even though I think you are being logical and
thinking the under I feel like Ole Miss is everything
but logical.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah, oh, I mean you know what I'm saying. Just think,
Just think for a second, right, because the biggest thing
is going to be like what's Lane Kiffin thinking? What's
going right? Right? Like I love these kids, they all
hate me. I'm rich as hell. Now I'm at LSU.
But boy, I kind of want them to I feel

(06:08):
like Lane Kiffin to be like, I kind of want
them to win because they all hate me. Now, I
kind of want them to win. But if they lose, yeah,
I'm not gonna be heartbroken. Like it's not one way
where oh I can't stand it. Like he's you know,
he's watching the game where in a Miami hat AND's
next next to Michael Irvin and Bernie Cozar. They're all like, eh,
let's watch his game together, all you Miami legends. Let's go,
you know, making the U into the into the in

(06:30):
the TV, making the U with my hands, wearing the gloves.
But I don't think it's quite that because look, when
you coach these kids for as long as they do,
you understand the relationships they have, even if it's only
been three years. So I kind of feel like that's
you know, thinking about how just a normal, a normal
reaction would be, is that, of course, you know, he
wants the guys to win, He loves the coaches. Some
of them may still wind up going with him to LSU,

(06:52):
who knows, But at the same time, you know, you
have an attitude, you have a you have a an
ego as a coach, and if they win the championship
without me, it's how good was I really? Maybe Lsu
was going, Boy, how good was he really? You know,
you think how good was I really? If they win
the championship if it happens without me? Because being selfish
is something that is really it's given a wrong connotation

(07:15):
when it comes to sports. All great athletes are selfish,
all of them to an extent, whether it's I want
the ball at the end of the game, whether it's
I know on this play, I'm the best option, or
I know my way is right. If you're a coach
and you're disagreeing with with something happening, but like everybody's
everybody selfish and everybody has that belief and it's only
natural to do. Okay, yeah, I wanted to win, But boy,

(07:37):
how am I gonna feel if they win without me?
And then it's ten days if we didn't need Lane
Kiffin and here they are in the championship. And then
you have the part where Lane Kiffin goes, I left
the team that's one game away from winning the championship.
I got an Lsu. I gotta build this thing from
the ground up and get to the championship and then
win when my old team now is one game away
from winning and all I had to do was stay.

(07:57):
Oh it was stay for another month and it would
have been great.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Know he is he wants them to lose.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Jason, I think like a small piece of him like
twenty five percent, Like he's got little angel on one side,
the devil on the other shoulder is like seventy five
percent and is like, you want them to lose.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
You want them to lose because you left to go
win a championship and they can't win without you, because
then what the hell did you do? Then you're the idiot.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
He has the devil telling him you want them to lose,
even though again the twenty five percent, because if they win,
with his new contract with LSU, doesn't even get another bonus.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
So it's just like see like he we does.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Want him to win because it's gonna make his pocket
a little bit bigger.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
But he can't have them win.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
He has to be right that he left to go
be a champion somewhere else because he didn't think Ole
Miss can do it, and now they're showing him no,
we're doing it without your ass, you know, I'm.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Okay, so give me. So you just gave me what
the devil on the shoulder.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Which is bigger than the angel, right, what would.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
The little angel on the shoulder be telling them?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
But they're your kids.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
You got them small, a smaller angel, smaller one.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
We have to be really proud of what they'd you
did that, you did that. No, you did it. He No,
you did it. You didn't do it. They're doing it
without you. Yeah, that's bad.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
It's bad that he can't have he I know what
you're saying about competitiveness and being selfish. I want one
hundred percent agree with all of that, but his selfish
seems a little bit different.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Oh welcome, And I can't stay more than five minutes
in one place without I gotta go here about He's
a happy feed head coach, right, I get that, But
like this is this is real. I mean, just for
a second, just from a human standpoint of where it is,
it's got to be really really difficult with here. You know,
you make relations, you still, you talk to the parents
and the coaches and everything else, and it's and it's

(09:36):
a man, I can't believe we're here. I can't believe it.
So I feel like it's more like, you know, like
I think it's like this, like you know, in fantasy
when you are starting or you need a big game
from a player on your fantasy team that's playing against
your favorite team, right right, Okay, so like how many times,
like because I had times, like you know how many

(09:57):
times during my life that Tom Brady was my fantas quarterback.
So and look, the Jets we stunk anyway, so it
didn't matter. But like when when the game would start
and I wanted the Jets to win, I wanted Brady
to throw four picks. I wanted the Jets to win.
But if Brady threw three touchdowns and three hundred yards,
I wasn't absolutely heartbroken because okay, we were probably gonna

(10:17):
lose anyway, and I need the points and he was
gonna do it anyway. So okay, like that die, I
had no control over it. So okay, that's kind of
I'm out, Like, hey man, I'm really up. But at
the same time, I'm not that heartbroken that that's happened.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Right. You wanted the Jets to win, you know, twenty
eight to twenty five, and Tom Brady threw for three touchdowns,
but you wanted the Jets to win, so not given.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Jets aren't scoring twenty eight point SiO two games, I'll
score twenty eight points maybe three, maybe three.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
I'm giving you just a one off here.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Lane Kiffn is hoping that the Hurricanes barely beat the Rebels.
You know what I'm saying, you can be so he
can tweet out good after Rebels. I knew you guys
were almost there. That's what he wants to tell.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
I was there, I would have given you that, give
that sense.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah, I would have changed this play.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
That's what he wants to be able to tweet out
a great job, guys, so proud of you.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
You were so close. Maybe if I was there, you
would have got it. But oh good, good job, good job.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
He can't tweet out if they win, oh congratulations, you're onto.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
The damn championship. He's not going to tweet that.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
So you think after the game, if Ole Miss loses,
we get the Kermit the frog sipping the.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Because he's playing the game.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
So he's gonna say, good job, good job to my team,
good effort, so close, proud of you.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
I knew what I knew what I had built. I
knew it was good. I knew it had a chance.
That's gonna be the tweet.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
It's funny you say that, because like, I never thought
about this, well, I never thought until it happened, and
then I think about it for you know, the rest
of my life is that when we were in high
school and I was playing high school football and we
were getting ready to play a game against a team
that the year before had beaten us pretty bad, but
it was going to be a close game this time around,
and our coach told us, I can't stand this team

(12:04):
because we won last year. We had a really good
quarterback the year before, and all they did after the
game was over was come up to him, and just
because they won big, they were like, boy, what a
great quarterback you have there. He's so great he saw
Oh my good. All the coaches came up to him.
They're saying, you know, because it's easy when you win
a game like that to come in and say, oh, hey,
well you know what, look look how great that guy's

(12:25):
really really great. They're not doing that if we beat them.
They're not coming over saying how great we are if
we beat them, right, Like if if ole miss wins, like,
is he really going over the top and said no,
but if ole Miss loses, hey man, and you guys
are great, it's awesome.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yes, exactly, that's what he's waiting for.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
He's not happy with what just happened. A deflected pass
off of Carson Beck's throw. Rebels intercepted the ball. They
get it back and they were in a position to
maybe get some points, but Rebels just got the ball back.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Interception.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, big time deflection. It looked like Miami. Look, Miami
looks too offensively, starting to be putting their stamp on
this game a little bit. They're moving the football. Well
they're you know, they're they're really out physically. Ol Miss.
That's a big miss right there, coming off all Miss
jink in the field goal going down, going in for
another score, and suddenly it could be a two score
game going to the fourth quarter. Suddenly things are getting

(13:16):
a little tight for all Miss. That that deflection and that ball,
that ball deflected across almost half the field.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Impressive that somebody was able to pick it up. Yeah,
I agree.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
He throws it into the left in the flat, and
and and it and it just careems into the middle
of the field where ole Miss is able to leap
on it and make the plane. It just happened seconds ago.
So now Ole Miss has the football. And you know,
very few players can flip a game like this, and
and this could wind up being one of them.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
And you don't want this with Trinidad chamblists because he
gets hot, he's streaky.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
You only want it if you have the under. If
you have you want more turnovers, less point, yes, less points.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
You may still get it because it's only one more
quarter and the way things are.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Going, you know it's so close under fifty. That could happen.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
No, don't, don't, don't don't jinx out there by saying
general deal, it could still happen.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
It could happen.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
For that, I know it could. Happy. You don't need
to put it out there outside. It's gonna be Chambers
with a seventy five yard touchdown pass, oh Carson back
with an eighty yard touchdown pass kick off return for
a touchdown. Then the overhits. So it's gonna happen three plays.
Watch what it can be three plays in a row.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Great, it'll be great.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Welcome to the last show, Moncy Bolognos ever does here?

So good way to start the year.

half to go in the fourth quarter, almost with the
football on their own fourteen yard line. But coming up next,
we had another big firing in the NFL today. What
to make of this and what happens next? That's next
right here, Jason Smith, Monzie Bologno's in for Mike Carmen.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon.
Monsey Belango's in for Harmon Tonight. For over forty years,
tire Racksman open customers find the right tires for how
what and where they drive ship fast and free, backed
by free road hazard protection with convenient installation options like
mobile tire installation. Tirerac dot Com is the way tire

(15:45):
buying should be. What is that in Adam Baum? Okay,
ready for season two of Pluribus, Ready for the fourth quarter.
In the semifinal at the Fiesta Bowl, Miami leads at
seventeen to sixteen a doink field goal, but goes through
for ole miss to make it a one point game.
And I'll tell you what you can. You can watch

(16:07):
a lot of football Montsie and and and I don't know,
I don't know the next time you will see the
same kicker doint get off the upright twice in a game.
I mean once, yeah, but twice in one game. That
that might be one of those unbeatable records. Like if
someone really get to it three times in a game,
like I don't think so, that might be an unbeatable.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Record, especially what five minutes apart.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah, maybe you know what I'm saying. In the same quarter,
in the.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Same quarter, and then this one and then this one
goes in. At least this one went in.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Yeah, the doints it this doints in off the upright
and so now it's a one point game. Ol Miss
turning the turnover into points as a long field goal.
Chambliss is sacked on third and long. And just outside
of that one play by Lacy tonight, the Miami defense
has really kept them in check. And look, Lacey's injury
has been a big deal. Uh, this game, you know,
affected by it. So it's it's still a a nip

(16:57):
tuck game that we kind of thought it was gonna
be going to the fourth quarter, But honestly, doesn't it
And I feel weird. Doesn't this feel like it's the
JV game and tomorrow night's the varsity. You have Oregon
in Indiana and the two best quarterbacks in the country
and the Heisman Trophy winner, the number one team in
the country, the other team who may be the better
team when it comes down to it. This is ally

(17:19):
got Miami and a Miss and their storylines and their stuff.
But it feels like, yeah, we're seeing this game tonight
where teams are struggling but they're making plays and it's
fun and it's entertaining, But yeah, no, is this is
kind of wetting our appetite for tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
They're struggling because the defense is so good, when in reality,
I feel like Miami was just dismissed because of those
two Who did they lose.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
To during the season. They lost to Louisville SMU.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yeah, they started out this season and I said, they're
gonna be better than they're'd be better than they were
last year, and they had the number one pick in
the draft, and they were terrific, and they kind of
faltered at the end. They beat Syracuse in the last game,
they would have wound up going to the playoff, but
they didn't. But middle of the season, they had those
couple of games in a three week span, losing the Lull,
losing to SMU, and that's suddenly, Oh, is Miami really

(18:03):
that good? We're not sure. And they didn't have anything
else resume wise after until they played Pitt the last
week of the season. But it's like, okay, yeah, you
beat Pitt, all right, that's great. So I think it
was really hard for Miami to kind of get the
momentum back after those couple of games.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Which is I totally agree with you. So I feel
like Miami was ready to come and play. When it
comes to Ole Miss It's like I mean, I want
ole Miss Indiana in the championship. Jason, that's what I
put in my bracket. Oh okay, that's what I miss Indiana.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Okay, Wow, that's that's a good pick right there.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
I know that Indiana Like it's like there's no way
they're gonna go undefeated, Like there's no way, but is
there a way? And then when it comes to ole Miss,
I'm just like, la Kevin, screw you go ole Miss
and should a. Jambliss has been so fun to watch
so as much as I I hear what you're saying
about the JV, especially because of how the game is going.
Like if you did not see stats in front of

(18:55):
you or the number and you were just watching, you
would think Miami is up by a lot, like they
look like they have had of the game from the beginning.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
In the first quarter.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
I don't think the Rebels got a first down, Like
they did not do anything in the first quarter, but
you let them stick around in Miami may have a
problem on their hands in this fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yeah, I look, and just so you know, you know,
not for nothing, but you did bring it up. I
have Oregon in Miami in my bracket.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Do you have Org.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Look, I always thought, look going into this this season,
I always you know what I'm I think Oregon is
the best team in the country. I think Oregon's better
than Ohio State. Oregon did they did? You know? They
did stub their tow it in against Indiana, And I
get it. Oregon's a different team now than they were
in that game. And I fully feel like you are
going to see the best Oregon Ducks in this game

(19:41):
tomorrow night. And then I'm and plus part of it
was everybody's gonna pick Ohio State, right, like you got to.
You gotta get the other side of the bracket, right.
But if I thought Oregon was the best overall, and
I'm pretty sure they're still the best team, Yes, I
got I got Oregon Miami the championship. Yeah, and I'm
getting ready for the March Madness brackets.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Now, this was a fun a bracket because it was
a lot shorter, so it was like a little bit
easier and a little bit more fun to do.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
I agree. I don't know if Oregon is the best team.
I I know they just shut out their last opponent.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
I'm thinking out on the name, but I didn't, I
did not think Oregon's offense looked that good in that game,
even though.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yeah, it was it was okay, it was it was okay.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
It was okay.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
And so I I don't know if they're the best,
but you're right because when I was doing the bracket,
I was like, who's gonna pick Carson Beck against Ohio State?

Speaker 2 (20:26):
I should have. I should have, but I did.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Not because you know, you know what has two thumbs
and did that this guy right here, this guy.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
That was when I was like, there's no way Ohio States.
You're like Carson Beck win. You know what I'm saying.
And I have nothing against Carson Beck. I just did
not think Ohio State would do that. And then here
I am. I would have hit.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
You.

Speaker 7 (20:46):
You.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
I'll be doing the gloves like yeah you the you.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
I could have been acting a fool on the sideline for.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Them, shocked in a fool and put him in the
gone fishing at the end. At the end of the game.
Uh now, not everything great headlines in miaend. We'll keep
you updated again. We're head of the fourth quarter Miami
with the lead over Ole Miss seventeen sixteen. They have
the ball back out at their own forty yard line again.
They're starting to run the ball really well. I gotta
think Miami's going to keep the ball on the ground now,

(21:14):
especially after that disaster of an interception that pulled ole
Miss helped to pull ole Miss within one. But today
Mike McDaniel was fired as head coach of the Miami
Dolphins a day after he said, Oh, you know, I'm
helping the search for the new GM.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
Oh ooh awkward. That's really that's really awkward, man. That's
so yeah, I'm helping with the search the new GM.
Where we got our plans going in place for next
season and all this out.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
No the next day, No, you're fired. Oh oh okay.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
I mean I was surprised a little bit. It just
the timing of it was a little bit off.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
First, they you know, fire their GM after their bad season,
after I don't know how many had that loss in
a row in a row, and they kept him, and.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
I was like, oh, okay, so then maybe I know
they're gonna keep them.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Then the story comes out, Yeah, they're gonna look for
a new GM. He's gonna be a part of it.
Then Harbaugh gets fired John Harbaugh and then he gets
fired and I'm like Huh was this directly connected to
that or was it just a coincidence that you decided today,
out of all days to fire McDaniel.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
See, I would give Miami the benefit of the doubt
for that because I thought that's gonna happen, right when
when the coaches got fired. We saw the four coaches
getting fired, and I knew after that you were gonna
see a couple more because the coaches that did get
fired are guys that are going to be sought after
in other places. Right. You had Kevin Stefanski, who is Look,

(22:40):
he does deserve some of the blame for what's going
what went on in Cleveland, but by and large he's
escaping that because Cleveland is an absolute mess. So he
was gonna be very, very sought after. Then Harbaugh gets fired,
He's like, Okay, you know he's gonna be sought after.
So suddenly when teams saying we're keeping our head coaches
because the other guys that are out there, there was
no must There's no here's the next great offense SCD.

(23:02):
There's no Ben Johnson's this year to go out there, right,
There's there's none of those guys. There's no Hey, Mike
Rabel got let go and he was sitting out. Boy,
he would go, there are none of those guys. So
I mean certain years it's different. Certain years there are
those people out there. But now that okay, wait, the
two best guys that are now candidates were just let go.
You knew a couple of teams were gonna do it,
and I would give Miami the benefit of the doubt

(23:23):
on it, except for what just one tiny thing, what
one tiny thing. Miami is a tire fire with sunshine.
That's what they are. We talked about the Browns are
a tire fire, the Jets are a tire fire. Miami
is a tire fire with sunshine. Because if it's because
it's Miami and it's South Beach and we think all
the glitz and the glamour.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
No no taxes, just as big.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Of a mess as these other teams are. Steven Rows,
I mean, you know where I felt good about Mike McDaniel.
Then we met the yesterday and I didn't didn't like
the you know, the direction of the team and where,
and then I made a decision to fire him, like really,
you know, because I trust Jeff Darling to who is
a pretty good reporter and he's been, you know, on
the beat for a long time. And he said, look,
this firing had nothing to do with the fact that

(24:07):
John Harbaugh came available. They may wind up talking to him,
but it wasn't about all of a sudden he's available
getting rid of Mike McDaniel because they have not set
up any conversations with John Harbor. Which if you fire
Mike McDaniel and you want Harbaugh, you know you're doing
this as soon as possible because you don't want to
lose him. So to think for a second, I'm not
giving them any more credit than I need to. They're

(24:28):
an absolute tire fire. This organization is such a mess.
In eighteen months, they went from this is a team
with Mike McDaniel that is going to take over the
NFL with their speed, his ingenuity on offense. They figured
out a way to take advantage of two of the
speed with Tyreek Hill and a Chan And now eighteen
months later, now they're starting over and it's an absolute mess.

(24:48):
It's gonna be a new quarterback, new everything there. Tyreek
Kill's not gonna be there anymore. I mean, Miami is
an absolute tire fire. But they have sunshine so you
think it's better than it is because they because oh
the sun's out, whether everybody looks happy and uh yeah,
drive around sports cars in South Beach. Yet no, Miami
is the biggest tire fire to fire there to think
that everything was going well. But after one conversation, right

(25:11):
I had with with the coach, Yeah no, I don't
like this anymore. Like the mcdaala couldn't put his feet
up on the desk and go yeah, so uh light
a cigarette and go, Yeah, Steve, here's what I'm thinking.
I'm thinking I need to raise and I'm thinking you
got a cigar clipper? You got so I could put
this out here. Yeah. So I'm thinking, you know, I'm
just gonna take my shoes off. Well, I mean I
was just gonna stretch out a little bit. Yeah, I
don't wear socks, so you know it may smell a
little bit, but uh yeah, So this is what I'm

(25:33):
thinking for next. Let me you share my vision or not. Like,
I mean, what happened in that meeting that the entire
season going up into it that oh no, I changed
my mind after that meeting, Like really.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
It makes no sense.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
It makes absolutely no sense because the Miami team that
you're holding not year, but maybe uh Dolphin fans are
holding onto which you said was is now two gonna
be three years removed that offensive powerhouse that we saw
that was so exciting to watch with Tyreek Hill and
two Atogovailoa.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
It's like that is completely.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
Gone, and I wonder if that is the other again,
makes no sense why they made this decision right now
when they did.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
But aside from being a what you just say, dumpster fire,
A do like that.

Speaker 4 (26:14):
I do like that as well with Sunshine also, I
feel like they see everything is gonna change. So maybe
if there is a coach looking for a destination that
is not looking for immediate results, Miami is that team
now because you know it's gonna be a completely different experience.
As you talk about Law, we assume he's gonna come back,

(26:35):
or excuse me, Tyreek Hill, assume he'll come back, but
when and will he be the cheetah that we are
so used to.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
I feel like other teams that are available, they want immediate.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
You know, turnover, We want to win tomorrow. With Miami,
you can't expect that, Like whoever comes in there, I
feel like it's gonna have a bit of a longer
leash than going to another another team.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah, well, remember you're gonna they say they're gonna have
the GM by Friday. And the first thing is how
do we move on from Tua?

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Right right?

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Like yeah, but it's not gonna be easy.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
No, no, I mean look, I still think my idea
is the best idea, which where the Dolphins call the
Cardinal and say, look, we have a problem to quarterback,
you have a problem with It may not work, but
you know, at least it'll be a different problem, and
we'll get Kyler Murray and you get Ta the money
works and at least we exchange because something it's something different.
There's something to be said for working on a new
problem versus trying to solve an old problem that you

(27:26):
can't solve. Give me something new.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Yeah you know, yeah, that almost seems like too easy,
Like why not?

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Because who says no to that? Wins?

Speaker 7 (27:35):
Everyone?

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Was because this stuff with Tua, like his cap and
like the and all, that's like.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
No one wants that, nobody and I don't know who
wants to take on to it.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Like just in general, I feel bad for the guy,
but it's like he's gone through so many injuries.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Can he play in the weather? I don't know. I
don't know, But that doesn't seem like a terrible idea.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
No, it's a great idea.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Both teams.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
I should be a GM, you should be you're getting
the little bit better quarterback than Kyler Murray, but you're
all so inheriting a little bit more money than Tua. Yeah,
because you can get out of too a little a
year soon, a full year sooner. They didn't get out
of Kyler Burray. So there is that, and both teams
need they would don't want their to move on from
these guys, so do anything to move on from these guys.
And so it's either we we swallow a lot of

(28:17):
money and trade the guy and hopefully get an okay
draft pick, or we pay all the money. I mean,
there's so many bad scenarios that why not say, Hey,
neither of you are drafting early enough to go get
your next great quarterback. You're not drafting the top two,
you're not getting Mendoza or Dante. More So, let's spend
a year working on it with these guys. Let's exchange problems.

(28:38):
Why not. It's like what's that movie where uh uh
oh wait, it's the Christmas movie Wait with Cameron Diaz
and Kate Winslet, right who uh like she's from like
she's from la and it's like a record executive and
and and uh Kate Win's is from England and they
both have really bad Christmases the holiday, right exchange and

(29:00):
they go live and you know, and Karon Diaz goes
to London and meets Jude Law and then you know
that the short end of the stick was Kate Winsleon
goes and meets Jack Black. But Jack Black is funny,
so like, hey, listen, what we did was we each
have problems. We exchanged our problems and look what happens, right, Like, yeah, Kate,
you know, Diaz meets Kate meets Jude Law. All right,

(29:21):
hey you have you have Jack Black and it's fun, dude.
All the stuff going on in Hollywood. And Eli Wallach
was in there somewhere, I think at the end of Okay,
so you had the fun so just to exchange your
problems and you see that certain things can happen.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
What's crazy is that they're probably both looking at each
other's problem and thinking that the other problem is worse
than their own problem.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Yes, that's what it is.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
It's like you don't want to, but you don't want Kyler,
like I'll just figure it out with here, like and
then the same thing with there is was like I
don't want to a well say or something not with Kyler,
but I agree that both you should just swap to
get something different. But it clearly like they don't they
don't like either. They don't like either option.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
I think you could save more relationships with that, Like
if there was a website that you could go on
where it was hey, listen, we're dating, but we're really
not going anywhere, and I think maybe I want to
date somebody else a different experience, right no, no, no, no,
no no no, not one of the not a swinger website,
no no no. I mean where like a couple goes

(30:16):
on and they put a picture out there say this
is who we are, and we're open to spending time
with other people significant others and seeing if it works
for us. So if you're unhappy, hey, you know what,
Hey she's here, he's here, he's there. Okay, they go
date and then you see what happens.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Open, But a little bit like you're willing to entertain.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Look, and it's not like hey, no, I'm not saying
it's like a hookup website. I'm you know, completely above board.
It's like, hey, we'll meet for coffee and see if
it works and see if this relationship works. And and
that's the thing is that you would work on it
where hey, you know what like like like the guy
can say, hey, you know what I saw your profile.
I really like what what you know her interests and
everything else, And I really think my girlfriend would like

(30:58):
what he has to offer, and I think this might work,
and let's get together and figure out and okay, and
then and then you go out and you see, I
think that would work.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Yeah, you're you're you're asking for things to be so
simple in life, and there's just so much more complicated
than that.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
I'm pretty sure there is a you know, tysher would
know tysher. Is there a website for that? If I
come up with an idea for something that exists, yeah,
of course, oh there really, Yeah that exists with swapping
really dude, Oh no, I don't. I don't want to
call it swap. And that's a different that that's a
different actually.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Alex is right. This probably does exist, and we just
don't know.

Speaker 8 (31:30):
Trust me, Jason, I've always heard this saying, there's nothing
new under the sun and we have to be a
little bit, you know, vulnerable.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
We're not that smart. Somebody's thought of it before.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Really, Yes, what was that website where you could cheat
on your spouse and it was like all Ashley Madison?

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Yes, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, lasted for years. And
the thing is the know the funny thing is, I
thought I always thought Ashley Madison was a was a
women's clothing line.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
I always thought it was a furniture line. But that's
something else.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
That's that's wait, that's actual.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yes, I thought Madison was Ashley Furniture.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Okay, sure, I got that couch at Ashley Madison. Where'd
you get that dress Ashley Madison? Well they have everything. Man,
you can get a couch in a dress and you
can cheat on your spouse all it one spot. It's like,
I can't so one floor? Is this another floor is did?

Speaker 4 (32:14):
So? Well?

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Yeah, that's great. Is that still in business or no?

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Let's see, okay, is everything in one place?

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Hang on, Monzie's your profile still up on Ashley Madison.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Took it.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Stupid. I mean, I mean, I mean it's still here. Okay,
all right, very good where desire meets discretion. Oh I
like that and a couch.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Okay to stop and address and whatever it needs. Uh,
time out to find out what's trending in the wide
world of sports is Moncey segues away from Ashley Madison
and into the college football semi final at the Festival.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
At the Festival, We've got nine minutes to go in
this one here, Jason and Uh, the Rebels are driving downfield.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
They just got into Hurricane territory. Miami is up in
this game, seventeen to sixteen. It's first and ten.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
But again, Hurricanes had the opportunity a few times maybe
to take the lead.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Missed the field goal interception by Carson Beck. The Rebels
also missed a field goal, but then they got one in.
That's how they cut it to one.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
Trinidad Chambliss is nineteen of thirty for one hundred and
ninety two yards. Carson Beck is fifteen of twenty four
with one touchdown, one interception, with one hundred and seventy
five yards in the air.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
So plenty of game here. Hurricanes up seventeen to sixteen.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Yeah, Mike McDaniels fired today from the Dolphins, but don't
worry because the Lions apparently have already reached out to
McDaniel about their offensive coordinator position. The Ravens request that
a head coach interview with forty nine Ers defensive coordinator
Robert Sala. He also has interview requests from Atlanta, Arizona,
and Tennessee and a film.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
You know, the job he did with the Jets was awful, right,
like they.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Missed but better la cosa.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
The thing here is now, Jason as we are removed
one season of the Jets and their dumpster fire that
they are zero interceptions.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Maybe Robert Solo isn't the problem.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Oh I know, Oh good, you know what I gotta say.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
So, like maybe that's what they're thinking. I'm not saying
that's for sure. I'm just saying maybe. NFL media reports
that the Titans are gonna interview former Packers and Cowboys
head coach Mike McCarthy for their head coaching job, and
former Commander's offensive coordinator at Cliff.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Kingsbury has received head coaching.

Speaker 4 (34:20):
Interview requests from the Titans and the Ravens in the NBA,
there's one game still going on right now, and there's
thirteen seconds left with the Mavericks now.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Leading the Jazz eighty nine to eighty eight.

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Cooper Flagg twenty points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Not
a big night in the NBA, but the Pacers did
snap their twelve game losing streak. They came out on
top against the Hornets and one fourteen to one twelve.
The Timberwolves outscored the Cavaliers one thirty one to one
twenty two, where Julius Randall had twenty eight points, eleven rebounds,
and eight assists. The Heat and the Bulls Jason was
postponed after like ninety minutes because there was.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Condensation on the gym floor with reports that.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
The ice was melting for underneath from their ice drink,
but also humidity from it's been raining and all of
that in Chicago, so they postponed it. But like ninety
minutes later. When it comes to the NHL, some games
are still going on. The Islanders and the Predators are
tied at one with less than three minutes to go
in the third period.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
The Avalanche are crushing the Senator seven to one. Late
in the second period.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
The Blue Jackets over the Golden Knights right now, two
to one. Late in the first in the wild they're
up on the crack in two zero, also late in
the first. Not too shabby there. The Red Wings, by
the way, they did defeat the Canucks five to one,
and Patrick Kane hit two goals. He is now at
five hundred career goals and there's only fifty players in
NHL history to reach five hundred career goals.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
So Patrick Kane the latest one. Back to us.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Jason and Wonse live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
Coming up next, we got more from the National Championship
semi final. The biggest penalty of the game may have
just flipped it in favor of all miss. We'll have
details on it next, right, Jason Smith, Monty Bolango sent
for Mike Harmen. This is Fox Sports Radio. Well it's
better than here and running up that hill. Jason, did

(36:07):
you watch the finale? Yes? I did see the finial.

Speaker 7 (36:09):
Like it?

Speaker 1 (36:10):
Yeah, I thought it was good. Really, yes, I thought
it was fine. I like the finale. I thought it
was fine. I had a couple of issues with it,
with certain certain things in it, but overall, I'm like,
you know, I don't know what people expected. I want
more people to die. You really wanted more people to die.
You wanted kids to die, Like, well, you want Mike
to die?

Speaker 4 (36:29):
I will?

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Here's what Will, here's the thing?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Why?

Speaker 3 (36:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (36:32):
Just why Will?

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Though? Because he rubbed me wrong from the beginning.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Wow, honestly, that's great.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
You're anti Will? How are you anti Will the wise?

Speaker 8 (36:41):
Because No, I think build him up to be this meek, timid,
little scared one. Yeah, he finally comes out of his shell,
not selling anything. But you know what I'm saying, white
eyes like him getting the powers and tapping into the
hive mind. I'm like, now, you're trying too hard to
get me to like Will.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
I think that was a pretty good character are considering
most of the kids. None of those kids character arcs
got any further than when they were introduced to them. True,
you know, and Will probably had the most biggest character
arc of all of them. So I got no, I
was fine. I kind of dug that right. But you
remember the guy that died in like the season before
this one boiler. No, the guy in the season before
this was Sean Aston. What was his character's name Bob

(37:20):
the Brain. No, oh, you mean Eddie, Yes, okay, Eddie.
He was the best character. Eddie great?

Speaker 6 (37:27):
Great?

Speaker 1 (37:27):
What does that say? Eddie was great? That's great.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
But those characters come in for a sh They're great
because they are there for a short period of time.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
It's on purpose. I think you get what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Yeah, I'm gonna do one season, then I'm gonna go
do Fantastic four, just so you know you gonna do
it there. Uh So, where we sit right now, Semi final,
ole Miss now has the lead over Miami after a
short field goal nineteen seventeen, still about seven minutes to
go in the fourth quarter. This field goal set up

(38:00):
a targeting call on Xavier Lucas of Miami that I
am stunned this call was made. This was the wrong
call to make, but it doesn't matter. The officials through
the flag, gave ole Miss a first down deep in
Miami Hurricanes territory and they were able to get the
field goal. Scott hur So foul targeting defense number six.

(38:22):
The play will be under further review and.

Speaker 6 (38:25):
Xavier Lucas second time the targeting has been reviewed.

Speaker 7 (38:29):
They picked up the flag in the first half against
ole miss.

Speaker 6 (38:33):
You do have a launch, and I'd still consider him
a defenseless player because he's going to the ground and
he hasn't completed than the first one. Different from the
first one is that there was no launch, there was
no upward thrust.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
After review, the ruling of targeting is upheld. Fifteen yard
penalty automatic first down number six? Is this fullified for
the remainder of the content?

Speaker 1 (39:00):
All right? So there was a call on ESPN a
few moments ago. Look, this is why I don't like it.
Lucas goes in. It's an unfortunate play because the receiver
is falling down. But you can see Lucas go in
and he turns his body to not hit him with
his helmet and to hit him with his shoulder pad instead,
and that's exactly what he does. So if you say, oh,
defense receiver, he's falling, I understand. But he actually he

(39:23):
doesn't go straight in, he doesn't spear him with the
crown of his helmet. He goes in and he actually
turns his head and he hits him with his shoulder pad.
I hate the call, I hate the review that they
did it. I get that it looked bad. It was
just an unfortunate tackle. But I really I think that
was the wrong call to put out there, and now
it's got Miami down to I.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Don't disagree with you. I'm looking at the play right now,
and you're right.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
He does turn his shoulder to try and avoid hitting
him straight on with his head, and it's an unfortunate
play because he was falling and he had already committed
to try and tackle him.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
It's just like, what are you supposed to do? What
you and I think you're right, it looks worse than
that actually was. But this isn't This is bad. And
then you just I feel like you haven't called any
of this all playoffs.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
