Joe Buck as a disgusting act.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Had a disgusting act.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
So here we are, Yeah, we are now moments away,
moments from the Andre's Cantor goal hot dog challenge? What
is the hot dog challenge? Forty seconds to glory. So
we got in this conversation yesterday after the play of
the day was Andres Cantor's goal call of Argentina's second goal,
the game winner against him, and it puts him in
(01:26):
the final of the World Cup. And Andres Cantor has
been doing this for a long time, you know, like
he rose to fame in the mid nineties with his
famous goal calls, and his best one of the tournament
was yesterday. So we started to decide, like, wow, that's
a long His goal call was long from the beginning
of his first goal to the last L be beginame
(01:46):
his first gen goal to.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
His last L. It's a long time.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
At least I wonder if I could like eat a
hot dog from the beginning of his I start when
he starts his goal call and I finished before he ends. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
I mean I wanted to do a Guinness or a
tall Boy, but since we're on national radio, that's probably
not the best idea too.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah No, I think I think that's also legally, I
don't think that's yeah, no, yeah, I don't think we
can do that. I think that it's also a family show. Yeah,
I mean you gotta keep it nice for the people.
So to give you before we do this, to give
you a to give you a bas of understanding. Here's
the andres Canter goal call from yesterday again, from the
begin the first G and gold to his last L.
(02:27):
Can I eat an entire hot dog in that time?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Here?
Speaker 1 (02:31):
It is just so you can listen to hear what
it's gonna be messy.
Speaker 6 (02:34):
Can gonna tell you both? You don't?
Speaker 7 (02:35):
Come on, God, I'm starting to cur.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
All right.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
So from the G his first G to the last L,
which is about forty seconds, yeah, you can hear his
soul leaving his body at the end.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
There.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Now, I'm envisioning this hot dog that's sitting in front
of me right now.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Hot Costco hot is a spander Costco hot Dogs is
a little long.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, it is a little bigger than I thought.
Speaker 5 (03:42):
But okay, oh, I mean you gotta be able to
see it outside the bun right, he's got a you know,
it's that uh force perspective.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Let me help ty shirt out.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Boy.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
It's a little bigger than I thought it would be.
Is that clean enough for you to grab? All right?
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Very good?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
How you got okay? Very good. So when I'm listening
to this and I'm envisioning, like I'm doing the power
positive thinking and visioning myself doing Yeah, that's what you've
been doing. In the beginning, I said, well, I don't know, man,
I don't know. But then through it, I'm like, oh,
maybe maybe I think it's I feel good, but I
think it's gonna be close. An empty is stomach. I
(04:15):
think it's gonna be close. You had lunch? Tysher doesn't
think he's taking the under Yeah. My, my, my preparation
for this was just to not really eat dinner, not
gonna work. Yeah, that's my preparation was not gonna eat dinner.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I'm only eating one.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I'm not like I got no, I'm not throwing up.
I know you. You know no, you don't do good
under pressure. You know you don't you think I eat
under pressure? You the United States men's national team defender.
How dare you you think I'm the tim ream of eating?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
You think I'm Tim?
Speaker 1 (04:47):
You think Harmon's gonna jump over me and head the
ball into the next man. So, uh, that's my preparation
was I didn't really ea dinner because so I'm really
hungry right now and I've had half of a Pepsi
zero in the in the last carbonation may affect some
of your but again it's it's only one hot dog,
and it's you know, I look, everybody makes choices. Yeah,
(05:08):
you know I made I made choices, and that's kind
of where I'm at. Boy, it's a little bigger than
I thought it would.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah, I didn't even know.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
If we were gonna run the bit because you know,
like we didn't talk about that really at all. Exchanged
a couple of stories, and then I started getting people
on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Hi, guys, I ask you, so, what time?
Speaker 6 (05:27):
What time?
Speaker 1 (05:28):
What hot dog?
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah, just take your own advice.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Gotta get to at least eight nine inches and then
it's gonna be good. It is now so you can
see that I'm showing. I'm showing you. There, I see
the hot dog. This is this is the hot dog
right here? All right, there you go, there's the Costco
hot dog. So again, I got forty seconds from the
beginning of the call, yeah, to eat it. I'll tell you, man,
I felt I didn't feel good. Then I felt good.
Now I don't feel as good. Everybody with rapt attention.
(05:53):
I mean you can see the excited nature of the
the crew is fully assembled. I mean Julian has popcorn. Yeah,
get your pump coin ready. So we'll start this now.
To to win, I either have to say done or
slam the table. When I don't, I'll try to say done.
If you collapse, I'll just start talking over you. I'll
(06:13):
try to say done. Wow, why that hurt? For days?
That hurtz Now now I got that. Now, I got that.
That that adrenaline running for Fizdale Hammer. I'll try to
say done. Okay, so that would be the official But
if sometimes if I'm done, I slap, that's the same thing,
all right, slap all right now Now I don't really
(06:34):
need breathing exercises. I need to get ready to go.
And uh when I say to play that. When I
say play it, you play it. I'll start eating. When
he starts with his goal, give me fair play the
beginning of it for me, so I know when I'm
expecting him to say goal, just so I don't expecting mess.
Can tell you, okay, all right, very good, I got
(06:57):
it now, ok I got it. Okay, all right, So
here we go. So I hang on, all right, this
is perfect all right. The temperature again, the temperature is
good enough. This is heated up in the microwave. Okay, uh,
this is a much more chewier bud. But okay, you
know what. Look, I'm gonna see you and see how
far we get. All right, now, you're excuse making Let
me cut a couple of deep breaths. Hang on, boy,
it's a little bigger than I thought it would be.
(07:17):
A couple of deep breaths. Ready, Just remember you're hungry.
You've eaten hot dogs this fast before. I'm gonna eat
that ass up. Okay, I got it, Tysher, you can't.
I'm hyping you up. I gotta I gotta get in
the right frame of mind. Man, I got you, or
Team USA and I show up flat against Belgium. Come on, man,
I can't have that. I can't have that.
Speaker 8 (07:36):
Now.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
I'm not gonna do the whole dip the bun in
the water like Joey Chestnut does. It's not really eating
a hot dog. That's just finding a way to put
a hot dog bun in your body. Okay, all right,
here we go. All right, hang on, give me three
deep breaths. Two all right, Tycher, play it messy?
Speaker 6 (07:57):
Can gunn tell you go?
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Thinking about it too much? Thinking about the Nicks, Go.
Speaker 7 (08:33):
Go go.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
I'm starting to curtain, you know, see things. Alright.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
He was able to shovel it into his gullet, but
couldn't finish those last two plus bites.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Your selfish baths to where he kind of.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
Looked like a chipmunk at the end as the end
moments of Cantor's call came.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
So in the fourth hour, we'll try it again.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Boy, that was Jason. Yeah, you chewed way too much.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
A lot of ponderous uh moments there, like you're really
trying to savor and enjoy the base hot dog.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Yeah, yeah, it was.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
This was not a gourmet sausage that you found at
you know, some farm you were staying at and they
had the you know, the picture of the the animal
that it was processed from. No, this was just a
standard hot dog.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
It was a It was a bigger hot dog than
I thought. The bun was a little bigger than I
thought it would be. The bun was a little bit
bit chewier m Like I think if I think of
instead of a Costco hot dog. If I had one
of those like ballpark hot dogs that are like nine
dollars but they're really tiny like that, I might have
been able.
Speaker 5 (09:51):
To give me the ones that I you know, the
bread isn't really bread like, this actually has a little
bit of haf to. Yeah like that, you know, if
this might actually be uh, you know a little more
of a pure breadle like product.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I think it was good on them. It was a
sesame seeds on the bread down. I would have been
okay with that. Yeah, but I did think I felt
like I had to chew a lot because the bun
was really difficult. Well, I mean he also.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
A little bit Jason. Yeah, you even started with the
hot dog in your mouth.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
I did.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
I had my mouth completely around the hot You were
too much in your head.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
That was why I was giving myself an extra second,
and it turns I needed I probably, you know, if
it was a minute, I probably could have done it well.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
Since you guys probably were also recording doing a Mystery
Science Theater three thousand commentary between the three of you,
I think he might have been a fearful of what
kind of visual he was presenting you Jason.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Everybody believed in you. In your I said, he's not
doing it. Wow, thanks everybody. I just know you appreciate
you don't eat for freaking like fast. You eat for pleasure.
You've never been like that.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Yeah, no, no, no, no, oh, yeah I know I can.
He goes fast and yeah this way this was it was.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
I got the whole hot dog in my mouth. I
got all of it in my mouth. Ah wow, there
you go there. Yeah, there's a freebie. Everybody else got
the whole world in his hands. This guy, I got
the whole thing in my mouth. But it was just
too It was just too much. Definitely in a minute,
I could have done it. And maybe a smaller hot
dog maybe like you know, like little like like like
(11:26):
like pigs in a blanket, not just how many can eat.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
Well, I mean if we did that, I mean now
we're getting true over under kind of amount.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
I mean costco hot dog. That was I mean, that
was big again, And I wasn't psyched out by it.
I just knew it was a little bit more of
a challenge. But in the end I got the I
got all of it in my mouth. I just couldn't finish.
Took me a little bit longer than that, and that's
one to grow up. But the good news is I'm
still hungry, so we can maybe try it again because
I you know, maybe I'll eat a little bit differently
(11:53):
or whatever it is. Maybe I don't know, maybe I
won't chew as much. Maybe I I don't know. Maybe
I'll try it. Okay, uh oh, that's that's not really safe.
I mean again, I'm still hungry, so I have another
hot dog. At some points, maybe we tried it again,
all right, I mean there's I mean, I gotta get
points for that, right. Oh, well, he did work the
first time. With a competitive you could.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
Try it again.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
Well, I mean, look, as long as you again, we
don't have a reversal. Yeah, no, an opportunity to try again.
I mean, you did look like you enjoyed the hot dog,
and that was the thing. Yeah, that's what I thought.
After the first bite, as you started chewing, it's like,
pretty good. You liked the hot talk too much for
the challenge you had accepted. It was that it became
a that's pretty good, and now you're savoring the hot
(12:33):
dog instead of just shoving it down your gully.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Yeah, I mean that's the one thing. It did taste good,
and I was like, oh, I'm enjoying this. I didn't
go mindless to it where I'm sure all the other
competitive veaters.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
You got to be a mindless eating machine. Have you
not watched Jawn's nine thousand times?
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Oh that was good and and here and here's where
I'm at right now, quite honestly, like I could go
for another one right now. Yeah, just shakes his head.
Speaker 6 (12:54):
I can have it.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
I could have another hot dog right now. I think
I think I could. You were just too into it.
In fact, I think I will. I have an the
hot dog in like two minutes on one more. Jason,
you weren't eating to win? What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
I was?
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Of course I was eating to win, Yes, I was.
You chewed way too much.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I was trying to chew because I didn't want to choke. Oh,
by the way, food, I am a I'm a professional.
Do not try this at home. This was this was
for entertainment, purpose entertainment not This was eating a hot
dog on a pass fail scale. Maybe my maybe my
mouth isn't big enough. Yeah, maybe my jaw doesn't use
me like, maybe my jaw doesn't move like the competitive
eaters do did you record? You're part of that conversation?
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Due?
Speaker 5 (13:30):
I mean leguas are throwing one liners back and forth.
I mean they're all, you know, working bloom.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
But you see somebody you know in the NFL or
the like, well, they're really built. I could see why.
And other guy's like, ah, they don't have the bill.
They didn't you know, God didn't bless their body. They
didn't work hard enough working out or anything else like that, Like.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Maybe my jaw just isn't that kind of Joe Sanchez
finished his sideline hot dog in less than forty seconds, but.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Did he have all the bun though?
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Did he have the bun or did he just use
the bun as a as A a v A as
a Because I could have done the hot dog without
the bun, that's easy. I could have easily done the
hot dog without the bun, like that's there's no doubt
my money, I could have done that. We don't have
the staff to pixel late.
Speaker 7 (14:11):
No.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Oh yeah, that would have been a really bad. I
got the whole thing in my mouth, but it was
just too much. Yeah oh yeah, yeah that sounded man. Yeah, No,
it's okay. I mean, I mean, look I tell it
like it is. Yeah, I can't lie. No shame, camera
doesn't lie.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
I just can't believe everybody believed you that you would
do it. I was, I got the I got the
whole thing in my mouth.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Tight shirt. What can't you understand about that?
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Pause?
Speaker 8 (14:35):
No?
Speaker 3 (14:35):
I feel like I'm just doing it on perpoct No,
absolutely you are, Jason. You were just too much in
your head. I could say after that first bite, well but.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
I but I thought he really was enjoying it, like
he hadn't had a So I think he had the
bite and was like, that's not bad.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
And then he.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Chewed, and then he chewed, and he chewed three or
four times.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
We'll go back hungry. Yeah, yeah, that's why you didn't
win this. You're supposed to do this to win, but
you're hungry, so you wanted to enjoy the food to.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Fill my stomach. Yeah, like I said, I can have
another hot dog?
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Right? Oh gosh, I really.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Care as like I'm the devil pushing pushing another hot
dog in your general direction.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yeah, I said I gonna have another one, and all
of a sudden, Harmon's got it right, it's on a plate. Here,
it is here it is. First one's free. Here's your
second one again. Right, now, here's your second one. I'm
gonna go warm it up and eat it. Another challenge.
He watched the challenge again.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
I was good.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
I was, I mean really, I mean at the very end,
I didn't win. I gave it my best shot and
I ate a hot dog. But you gave us great content.
We'll turn the video around. I got about five minutes
of great script, good, and then it started getting a
little weird, so I cut it out.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
Yeah, so you know, it's just make sure. Hey, you know,
because you were getting really in your head about let.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Me just let me just let me just say this
because I be serious for a second.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Okay, Oh no, it's a very serious matter. There's no
question about it.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Again, clearly entertainment purposes.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
All I am not. I'm not condoning this.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Now I'm to say, uh, when when you edit this
edited smartly? Okay, just just edit, just edit it smartly.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (16:06):
All right, Well, I mean the fact that I got
the first minute of the conversation and food part in
slow motion, so whenever it'll be great, well, I don't
want it to be like whenever I get quoted on
the internet because of something I said.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
That's the picture they use, like me shoving a hot dog. Man, Okay,
that's like I.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Don't want I don't want that.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
I don't want that.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
You're gonna get it.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
I'd rather.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
No, no, I don't I don't want that.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
You know who you are in soccer players for that
eating contest. You were early Holland right there, you were great,
great hype up. You performed beginning, couldn't finish. I didn't
just stop and say he can't do anymore. I ate
the whole hot dog. I ate the whole hot dog.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Well it was I mean it was shoved indu. I
ate the whole thing.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Eventually, I didn't walk out with a stuffed raccoon. He
didn't spit it back out on the plate. And now,
could you eat a whole raccoon over the.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Over a four hour show, like like the old ninety
six er challenge outdoors?
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Yeah, it's prepared properly.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
I don't know. I don't know, man, I don't think
I've ever had a little part of it.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
I would just say this, because that taxi Dermis down
in Texas gonna have a lot of raccoons.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
I don't think that.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
I don't think there's a lot of meat on raccoon. No,
that's what I mean. Think in a four hour period
you could probably take it down. It's like alligator wings.
I don't think there's a lot of meat on the
on the alligator wings. I don't think there is. It's
not like you know, ordering buffalo wild wings or wings.
You could do that too if you want, you want
to do that challenge, come on, we can do wing Hey,
any food challenge because I get to eat, Like, I'm
(17:31):
okay with that right, get that ordering, but I really
am going to eat that other Oh, I know, I know,
I'm gonna eat another hot dog?
Speaker 3 (17:36):

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Fox Sports Radio, the Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon. Well, in case you missed it, there's
Cantor Goal hot Dog Challenge. I had the whole hot
dog in my mouth at the end, but did not finish.
I did not win the challenge if I could finish
a hot dog, begin and finish a hot dog, and
the time it took Andres Cantor to finish calling goal
(19:26):
on Argentina's second goal yesterday that won the game against England,
I had about forty seconds. And now there's a couple
of things now that I can, you know, sit back
I've had. That's why I think it's good they do
in sports, had the ten minute cooling off period before
you go and talk to the to the media, because
I have a couple of things now that I'm thinking
about it, you know, because obviously we did it on
the air a few minutes ago. Right afterwards was a
(19:48):
you know, reacting to it was was was very you know, hey,
was it was immediate. I do think there was too
much bun. I think there was too much bun. The
costcuad was too much fun if I had half of
the bun. Maybe, but it was just too and I'm
not saying I'm just saying I think there was too
a lot of bread to do it. It was a
lot of bread. And also there was a point very
(20:09):
briefly where it flashed into my head, and then very
briefly at the very end before I started talking again,
where I said, Okay, I want to be really careful
here and not have anything really bad happen. So okay,
let me just make sure microphone was ready to go.
Here's Jason Smith. Well, he just choked to death five
(20:30):
minutes ago. It's the Mike Harbon Show.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
Here, no no, come, someone pull the body out, and
someone pull the body.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
It looks like he might still be respirating and maybe
a little bit.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
Maybe I still have two and a half to three
and a half hours of show to do.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Can someone who's seen the pit give him CPR?
Speaker 5 (20:45):
I mean someone, all right, Gre've watched these medical shows.
You've seen forty seven trachy out of he's done with pens.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Straws.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
I have as a pen notice how it whatever they
do need to do a trache out of me in
a show. The only thing everybody always has a pen.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
No one does anything in real life.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
I got a key, I have my phone, I have
my glasses, I have gotta no. Oh, I got a pen,
y pen in my pocket. Really, you have a pen? Really,
that's made. I usually have that or a sharpie with
me for something. But there was a there was a
little bit of where I want to make sure. But
I still went as fast as I could. But there
was a little part of it. Okay, let me just
make sure here a little bit. Let me let me
(21:27):
make sure that I that this this, I finished this,
and everything is okay. Okay, Yeah, and uh, in case
you think I was lying, I was not. I did
have another hot dog a few minutes you did. I
went right, you hot dog because I might go for
a third. I'm like, what happened to the second one?
He goest it? Yeah, I did.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
I went out and I ate it up.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
The next hot dog and I ate it and I
came back in and Harmon goes, I thought, you're gonna
have one.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
I go, that's already gone. I just finished it.
Speaker 8 (21:55):
Now.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
I walked in touching, saw me eat it. It was
like I was pretty good. I'm like, yeah, I was.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Still hungry and I don't know, and I'm okay with
because I didn't eat dinner and I thought that's what
would do it for me. And in the end, I
didn't win the contest, but it was fun and I
had two hot dogs. It's a bad way. There's still
another hot dog, still another hot dog.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
And we have a chicken bake. Oh, everybody else can
fight for the chicken bake. Yeah, you know, I could
have a little bit of chicken bake. We're not gonna
be chicken make contest. No, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Those things are big. No, that's problematic.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yeah, chicken bake.
Speaker 5 (22:24):
You need some time, man, Yeah, we'd have to figure
out you know, some pop song that runs under two minutes?
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Man, No, you go through the Beatles catalog. Yeah, but
that's a lot of bread and too many I can do.
I can do that, yeah, and a two minutes drill.
But that's a lot of bread. Though, trust me, you
don't want you don't want to overestimate how much bread
they're actually But.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
I might remember what a chicken bake tastes like. You
clearly were having issues. I'm thinking back to your childhood
or something with it. A hot dog was like hmm.
The salt now taste fantastic. If I wasn't just to
let you know this was all above board. If I wasn't,
(23:03):
you know, respectful of the game right now, I gotta
be respectful of the game. I could have because the
hot the the bun was that big, I could have
honestly taken off half the bun and just molded half
of the bun around a hot dog and it would
look like but.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
I would have been calling. Or I could have hollowed
out the inside of the hot dog bun on both
sides a little bit and made it a little bit easier.
I did not do either of those things. No, you didn't.
You played it straight.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
I did.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
That's how you do it, man, Tell you that's that's
that's how I was brought up.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Tell my mom.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, make sure when you're doing a hot dog eating contest,
Jason twenty five years.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Now on the radio.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
You want to be an idiot and do a hot
dog eating contest, Hey, just make sure you treat the
game right. You respect the game, And I did so.
I feel good about that. No, it's good now, I
feel really good. Yeah, and then you gave us some
good one liners. Yeah, tight shirt has one of drops
for days.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Oh it's all we need.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Yeah, it's good. Well have entirely new new show opens
because of because oh there's no question about Ricky was
excited to see what you can do with that. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
I feel like the one.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
And also I feel like I let everybody down because
everybody was in on the other side of the glass
looking in wanted me.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
I mean except for Ty Shirt, who bet against you. Yeah,
but that's because Frostburg's not here tonight. Someone's got to
be the one that goes.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
You're not going to do it.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
No, I just know you. Well, what do you mean?
You know me?
Speaker 1 (24:17):
You've never ate a hot dog that fast before? Yeah,
I've never tried to eat a hot dog in forty seconds.
Speaker 5 (24:23):
I guarantee you, if you untimed with no cameras or whatever,
I guarantee you he's eating a hot dog in less
than forty seconds before his head I guarantee. I think
the side the eight inch dog really took him back.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
You're more of a seven inch er.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
Uh well, eight inches, I mean, what's the standard, Like
if you go and buy at the grocery store, eight
in might be a five to six inch.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Eight inches dog eight inches was pretty big.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Yeah, there you go. You want a lot to handle?
Speaker 1 (24:51):
You welcome again, You're welcome. Yeah, very good. Uh it was,
you know, and I want to say, did you did
you actually make money? Do you want calshi and bet this?
Speaker 5 (24:58):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Yeah, okay, very good. We were the odds favorite.
Speaker 6 (25:01):
I was.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
I got so much money. I guess in fact, I'm
quitting blank All you blankers come out shouts cas oh man,
I'll tell you it was.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
It was fun. I'm glad I did it. I thought
it would be. I didn't feel great in the very beginning.
I thought, oh, this is gonna be a lot tougher.
Then I got midway through when I was listening to
the Gold Call, and I thought, okay, I got some time.
I got some time. But then I knew at the
very end, I'm like, okay, I'm just gonna have to
go for broke here and with the whole hot dog
in my mouth. But there there was no other There
was no other room. Again, maybe my mouth is just
(25:37):
not big enough. Maybe my jaw doesn't unhinge enough. I
don't eat like a coyote. Is a coyote's jaws un hinge?
Who did you snakes?
Speaker 3 (25:44):
No, but what's that?
Speaker 1 (25:45):
What's the what's the animal that hunts it has its
jaws on him? It could be a coyote. I don't
mean like, yeah, could be, but I mean like, because
I'm not not like the pelican, that's this whole head
just seems like it opens, but like there's one of
those animals. Like if I could have done that, maybe
that would have worked. Yeah, I think we need to
do a little bit of wild Kingdom. Yes, but I
argue that and that tape. I also made sure to
(26:06):
swallow the hot dog very carefully.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
I didn't want like again, just chose your words, yes,
very carefully.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah. Right now, Tysher's got his eyes opened and they
closed and they open and they closed and they opened
and they closed. And that's kind of how it goes.
Bed goes up, bed goes down. So if you missed it,
we'll replay it back in a couple hours. You could

Speaker 1 (27:45):
It's Alex Tycher doing impression of Rob Parker who was
on vacation.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
So uh.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Another day, another full news cycle on the internet of
Caitlin Clark's treatment when it comes to other teams and officiating. Now,
last night game against the Valkyrie, we talked about him.
We talked about it last night and the last twenty
four hours has been filled. Everybody's timeline has been filled
(28:18):
with Caitlin Clark very upset about a foul that wasn't
called that gave her a contusion. She talked about it
in the post game last night and said, yeah, this
foul's not called. I got to play the whole rest
of the game with a contusion. I like that. She
said that I have a contusion.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
Yet you know what it's as opposed to got this
big ass bruise.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
No, it's a contusion. And they asked how it was.
She goes, that's fine, you know, ice and whatever will
work on and I'll go play. So okay, let's see
the replay of it. And you see the replay of
the of the of the the play in which Caitlyn
Clark gets hurt on and then again her very animatedly
getting in the officials face. That was a foul? Why
didn't I get the call?
Speaker 5 (28:55):
That was the faster forty time than your hot dog
eating or anything anybody's done in an NFL combine.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
That was quick. That was quick. Now there's a different
take on Caitlyn Clark here that we're gonna have because
of what we saw in the last twenty four hours.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Here's another video.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Of her losing her mind at an official for a
call she should have gotten. She says she should have gotten.
You see the replay of it. Is it a foul? Yeah,
Kaitlyn Clark said. At the end of the game, they
said I initiated contact and that's why I didn't get
the foul call. And Stephanie White says, we just want
stuff to be fair, We want stuff to be adjudicated
(29:33):
fairly for everybody watch the play.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Was she fouled?
Speaker 6 (29:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Was it something so incredibly egregious? Did the defender stick
her entire leg in the way and try to trip her? No,
not that it wasn't a foul, but you can't treat
every foul like, oh, this was the worst injustice ever done.
I'm sorry that she got a contusion she got she
(30:03):
got a knee in the thigh that sucks, and she's
got kind of limping back up court. But I mean,
I watched the play. We've all watched the play. Yeah, okay,
it's a foul, but not every time can you go
to the official and scream about a foul call that
you're not getting. You can't do that. That's not going
to play well. We told you about the optic and
that's the one thing Caitlin Clark can control is the
(30:24):
optic about herself. Right, what people say about her, what
people want a debate about her, she can't control. And
when it comes to that, she does a great job
of it. She doesn't answer to anything. She balls, she
does her own thing. It's fantastic when it comes to
her behavior on the court. How many times can you
see her just absolutely lose it on an official for
a foul call? Right, go back to the NBA Finals,
(30:45):
When did things turn for the Knicks? Game two, Mike Moore,
Game one, Mike Brown is screaming at the officials about
calls that the Knicks aren't getting. Right, Wenby is getting
the beneficiary of these calls the Knicks aren't getting. He
is screaming at the officials, and Rick bro And grabs
him in the middle of the game and says, stop
stop arguing about the officiating and just coach the game.
(31:06):
Stop arguing and just go coach. And he said that
was the best thing they could do for me, because
I got back to coaching and they wound up winning
the game, and you know, the nixt one and five.
So that's kind of what Katelyn Clark has to do here,
is that, Okay, every time you think you get fouled,
you can't go crazy. No one's gonna believe. No one's
gonna believe it. If if there's a really bad play
(31:27):
where where where it's a borderline foul, where it could
be a flagrant foul, that's where you want to get
upset about. Okay, I get it right, Like the Alica
Thomas play, Okay, I get it. I understand that completely.
But a play like this, it's like whoa, whoa, whoa.
I mean, you watch the contact and you go, okay,
I'm looking for something that's incredibly overboard and instead it's
just it's unfortunate contact.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Is it a foul?
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Yeah, But you're not gonna get all those calls. She
made the layup, right, she's not gonna get the end
one on that, right, it's not she didn't sell the
call as much as she probably should have. Right, all
of these things. But just like with SGA, when the
end of the season came, then every day for Gildess Alexander,
the narrative was all he does is flop. Dude, you
gotta stop flopping. Right, Instead of flopping twenty times a game,
(32:10):
flop ten times a game, just flop half the time
and people will back off you, and maybe you'll get
more calls because the more officials here about this, the
less they are inclined to put you on the free
throw line.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Right.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
Just you can't do it every single time. You can't
do it when there's no contact. Eventually they're gonna get
wise to you. Right, he needed to do that and
he didn't. Caitlyn Clark, I'm telling you the same thing.
Just instead of blowing up in an official every game,
do it once every three or four games, right, Do
it then, because you're gonna help the optic that you
are having, because that's what's hurting her right now is
that here's I'm not getting a call and I'm gonna
(32:41):
lose my mind on it. And Becky Hammond had the
best thing when you know, it was attributed to her
a couple of days ago when when the Aces played
The Fever and they were talking about Kaylene and it
looked like she walked away from the officials saying she's
just drama. Now whether or not that's what that's what
she said, like that that's a light bulb moment, like, yes,
that's what people think Caitlin Clark is She's just drama.
(33:03):
But that's the thing.
Speaker 5 (33:04):
It's been three years and it's just stated for three
years now that edge that she plays with.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
But what makes her gast year basically, so we had
time away from it.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
Right, but it's but it's what makes you great, but
it also is the thing that creates these blow ups.
And when she's in front of a microphone, she's been fantastic,
very thoughtful, contemplative, all of that. Right, how she addressed
the Elsa Thomas issue once she finally did, now it
was a couple of days later, plenty of times to marinate,
plenty of time to get with your team, et cetera.
(33:35):
But she's come off and all of those circumstances. Is
very thoughtful about the body and the full constitution of
the w NBA, the other players, the coach is what
it all means. And even in that five minutes, you
know had that well, you know, we need to be better.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
To the officials, me included. She needs to take that
advice and that and that's it. Right.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
You can blow up once in a while and everybody
knows the fire and the belly is there, but they're
not all out to get you, right, It's not a
bunch of flagrance in this case. I think they were
wrong that she did not initiate the contact because the
arm came over. But then eventually you ended up getting
the quad injury and hopefully the contusion is managed well
(34:26):
and she gets back at it because she also went
after her coaching staff and everybody else about her minutes
play two, which doesn't help, right.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
But this is the one thing that she could help it.
Don't melt down an official for a call that you
could go. That's the one you're melting down up. Really,
that's the one that's the one you picked. Coming up next.
FS one insider Rick Bucker stops by, where could Lebron
be going? What other big moves could happen in the
NBA Fox
