And it's like, if you're going to be a fan
of a team, imagine not being able to go watch them.
That's kind of that sucks, right, So I'm pretty sure
that was a driving force into it. But because of that,
it's like I grew up watching just everybody, like I think.
I feel like I've mentioned it to you, Like my
dad loved John Stockton and the Utah Jazz and it

was like I grew up on she not. One of
my brothers loved Charles Barkley, so we watched a lot
of him. The other one loved Michael Jordan's so it
was even though we were Clipper fans, it was.

More than so. Your brothers wore long shorts and your
dad wore short shorts.

You know what.

Okay, yes for the most part, but one of my
brothers is a soccer player. Soccer players have always worn
short shorts. Oh yeah, short, at least shorter shorts, you
know what I'm saying. Yeah, so, yes, one of them's
played in But you're right that dad's always worn short
shorts because of the time that he liked basketball, they
were wearing short shorts. And he's a soccer player too,
so that's all they've known.

Well, I am sorry, uh to Monsie's parents, I'm sorry
that you did not bring her up with hey, there's
another team and make your own choices. No, I felt
I almost feel like you're one of those stories where

So we got more basketball on the way, but we
want to bring you this breaking story that's about You're
twenty five minutes old right now. Aaron Judge has been
missing from the Yankee lineup for the better part of
the last three days. It has been real mysterious, right,
like everything and everything in the New York Post has
been next, next, next, next, Amen, Aaron Judge hasn't been playing.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Man, this is really weird.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
And now we know why, and it is not great news.
Is Aaron Judge diagnosed with a stress fracture of the
first rib on his right side. The team making in
a statement saying he is expected to return this season,
which is never a great comment to make. I mean,
it's not as bad as out for the season, but
when you say he's expected to return this season, you

know that means he ain't coming.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Back for a while.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
And right now the earliest time frame for Aaron Judge
to come back, he's not gonna undergo more imaging for
another four to six weeks to see where the level
of his healing is and then see where he's at
after there. So if he gets a thoracic outlet diagnosis,
that could have knocked him out for the rest of
the year, but instead the Yankee statement is he's expected
(06:31):
to return at some point this season. Again, not great,
not the absolute worst, but now you're looking at August
for Aaron Judge to come back. In the last three
days have been crowded in a mystery for him. No
one knew why he was discomfort, why he had so
much discomfort and sat out, And finally this is what
they've come back with. And this is the second time
he's had a stress fracture of one of his ribs.
(06:52):
That happened about five or six years ago in a game.
So now the Yankees are without Aaron Judge and I
don't know that we're not gonna see to try to
push this forward now with Aron Judge coming back this year. Okay,
now you're look at him coming back potentially in August.
That's a great thing. We talked to John Palmrosi every
week and one of the questions I asked in this week,
I said, hey, it's a late trade deadline this year.
(07:15):
There seems to be you know, it's not until teams
get through about game one twelve or one thirteen, right,
so it's a very late dead list. Now you're looking
at the players you're getting, you're getting them for maybe
fifty games, right, So are we gonna see a team
or team say, hey, we're just not gonna wait until
the deadline. We're gonna kind of jump ahead to grab
(07:36):
a player that we want to and maybe we jump
start the deadline instead of waiting all the way till
the end of July. We could see some trade sooner.
And John Palm Rose said, yeah, you could see a
couple of teams there that especially they think they're contenders,
they want to make a move. But I think, honestly,
this is gonna accelerate that period because the Yankees are
not gonna be able to survive at the top of
(07:56):
the Al East without Aaron Judge. They're already chasing the Rays,
and the Rays are having a pretty good year. The
Yankees are only a couple of games out in the
loss column, but the Rays aren't going anywhere luckily for them.
It's a bad division. But if you're the Yankees, you
can't rely on.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Just oh, don't die, ay more soda.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
You can't rely on just hanging around because it's not
like you're missing one of your hitters. You're missing Aaron Joe,
missing the guy that makes the entire offense go. I
think they got to make a move early, get a
big hitter to come in that can that can help
keep the things afloat. Then you get Judged back and
it's like he's the big move. You make it the deadline.
You're getting Aaron Judge back for the better part of
(08:39):
August in September.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
Yankees absolutely have to make a move because their offense
is not good. Like the only reason that the Yankees,
I think, feel like there's a chance is because the
al sucks and their pitching is is doing really well,
especially with Garrett cole back. But you need Aaron Judge
in that line up. It sucks a couple of reasons. Like, right,
(09:02):
the first thing I thought of was like, oh, he's
not gonna win the MVP. We're not gonna have Aaron
Judge and Shoheo Tani again as the MVPs, which I
feel like, you know, after last year, we were all
probably like what it's probably gonna be the situation for
the next two to three years, Like this is just
gonna be the MVPs. So unfortunately, Like that's one of
the things that I thought of. The Yankees have to
make a move for like for a player that just
(09:24):
makes consistent hit, it makes it consistently hits the ball.
I don't they don't need somebody who's like a home
run hitter. They got to go talk to teams like
no offense to Brandon's Angels, but the Angels, the Angels
have a couple of players that can maybe go and
do some consistent hitting. For the Yankees, they gotta go
talk to like the Angels. They got to go talk

to those teams that really have no hope to see
what they can what they can get because the teams
that are in contention. If I'm a team in contention,
I am not helping the Yankees. There's no way, there's
no way it's gotta being is.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
But the thing is, Manci, everybody loves the Yankees prospects
like it doesn't matter who they are. Everybody thinks that, well,
the Yankees and Dodgers. Yankees and Dodgers. They think these
prospects are the greatest.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
In the world. Now, maybe they're good, maybe they're okay.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Maybe you don't until guys get on the field, but
it doesn't matter because everybody wants the Yankees prospects. It's
like me seeing like a really big pizza that gets
put on the table. I gotta have that pizza, youn know,
if it's any good, Yeah, I gotta have it. It's
that's a great look at pizza right there. Like Yankees prospects,
people feel differently about them, differently about Dodgers prospects. They feel, oh,

they come up in a great system. These guys are
gonna be stars.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Yeah yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
That's why the Yankees are able to make trade so
much because, yeah, you would think that people wouldn't want
to trade help the Yankees, especially within the American League,
but their prospects are so well sought after. We may
be getting a superstar player here that we have under
team control for a long time. Yeah, let's make it move.
It's what the Dodgers'll be able to make trades the
entire time all their prospects. Yeah, we'll trade Gavin Loucks,
We'll trade these guys.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
So there's a couple of teams out there that bank
and rely on the fact that the the image of
their farm system is so great. Teams can't help themselves
but want to trade with us.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
You know, I know I'm a Dodger fan, but I
feel like lately our farm system actually hasn't been that
great in the sense that the players that have been
traded have not had successful careers once they leave the Dodgers.
So is it the Dodgers, is it the farm system?
Speaker 5 (11:20):
Is it the culture? I don't know, but I hear
what you're saying.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
And this is probably why I can never be an owner,
because I'd be too petty and I'd be like, who
wants to trade?
Speaker 5 (11:29):
No, don't call me, I don't care. I'm not helping
the Yankees.
Speaker 6 (11:32):
I wouldn't help any team that is a contender that
can that can make my life more difficult.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
But I hear what you're saying.

So maybe they can make a move with the contending
team that can give them even more establish it or
I'm just like you, guys gotta go get somebody that's
going to consistently hit the ball for you to even
just move, you know, players from one.
Speaker 5 (11:49):

I can't the way baseball is now nowadays, Like Luis
aras to me, like, I don't understand how we don't
have more. Louis arises, that is the type of place
everyone should want on their team.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
He's gonna make contact.

He's not gonna hit home runs, but he's gonna make
contact and get on base more often than not. And
instead we're looking for all these Oh look at the batter,
this the the speed of the bat in this and
Fernando Tattis Junior's home run in this home run, I
don't care about that. I want a guy who could
just get on base, somebody who's gonna hit the ball consistently.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
That's what they should be looking for.

And I feel like maybe a team like the Angels
can give him something like that, because the Angels have
had a couple.

Of good games.

It's just they can't put enough games together, you know what,
I mean, to actually make a dent on their wins
and losses, Because again, what did I say.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
The beginning of the show.

The Knicks have won more games since April twenty third
than the Angels have. The Knicks, yeah, they had like
they've had ten days off, you know, a couple of
times in the playoffs, they've had some time.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
But the Angels have have well, sorry, I don't mean to.
The Angels have beat good teams. So I'm saying like
there is talent there. There is talent within the Angels.
It's just the Angels so they can only two.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
It's just the end.

Mean, Look, the American League being bad as you're right,
because the AL West is terrible. You have one team
over five hundred, and the Maarons have been playing well
the last couple of weeks. So now, okay, so they're
the team they're over five hundred. The other teams are
all just kind of hanging out. Even the Central is
not great. Look, the White Sox are still two games
out of first place. But it would be one thing
(13:21):
if it was a bat, Like if you were missing Stanton,
you're missing It's one thing to say, hey, we're missing
a big hitter, like you know, all right, we'll try
to stay afloat. We're gonna move guys around No, you know,
you don't get around working around the best hitter in
the American League, right and and by anybody's metric, at worst,
the second best hitter in all of baseball, right Like
you you're not just gonna say, yeah, we'll stay a float. No,
(13:43):
you stay afloat with with with without you know, could
stay afloat without Ben Rice. You can stay a float
without you know, a bunch of different plays. You can't
stay afloat without Aaron Judge that the guy makes the
entire offense going. There's a reason why you know, we're
talking about in the Mount rushmore great Yankees. With the
end of his playing days, he's gonna be on it.
Like it's one thing to say to look and say, well,
you look at the al it's not that great. We

hang around here for the next you know, two.

Months or so.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
But this is you are losing the best hitter in
the lineup. You losing the best hitter in the American League.
Like you can't just say, well, we're gonna try to
move around this. Like that's a guy you have to
go out and replace at some way, some level. You
have to go out and replace him.

Yeah, and let's not even forget what he does in
right field, Like I know, I know that the Yankees
need him for offensive purposes more than anything because they've.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
Just had a bad a bad in and out is.

How the season has gone for them when it comes
to their offense. But what he does in right field
is still so every time, every time anybody tries to
steal third base on Aaron Judge, he throws them out
from right field. It's like, you cannot steal third base
from Aaron Judge.

Joe can't put him in center field in the World Series.
Speaker 5 (14:49):
He's hurt. You can't do that. He's hurt.

Joe Adell from the Angels, they're out that outfielder. He
that that is somebody that Yankee should go try and
make a move for because yeah.

He already got hit in the head and had a
whole run go over the fence.

So you know, so he can't do Listen, he can't
do it again.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
He can't look a Yeah, he's gotten passed past the
worst play he'll ever make. So you're okay.

So you're okay. I I feel like, get somebody that
can go to the outfilt and can hit.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yeah, they're gonna they have to like the Yankees, Like
there's no way you could just sit back and say, yeah,
we're gonna.

Piecemeal things together.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
No, no, don't do that.

And especially since his return is not even guaranteed, like, Okay,
there's enough season left where okay, he's coming back in August,
it's where we expect him back. But whenever you're talking
about a guy is gonna be out, and you're talking about,
you know, two months, two plus months before the guy
can return, you're not. This is not an exact science.
This isn't Hey, we're putting him on the ILU for
ten days. We expect him back. He's gonna he's gonna
(15:44):
get back with the team on Thursday, he's gonna gear
gear up. We're looking him to come back on Wednesday
the following week, Like this is yeah, I'll be reevaluated. Yeah, no, no, no,
because what if something happens he doesn't come back, what
if he can't come back in August is not till September.
You don't want to give away a season where potentially,
despite the fact you've been up and down and now
your pitching is really good, you don't want to give
(16:04):
that away. Especially the American League is so weak, Like
I think they got to make a move, and I
think that'll jump start the trade deadline, because once the
Yankees make a move for somebody, somebody else is gonna
do it. Somebody else will do it, and then we're
not gonna sit here and wait till the very very
end to see teams make trades.
Speaker 6 (16:18):
And what super sucks about this injury is that he
he can't do anything, like he has to take it
so easy in order for him to be able to
say in four to six weeks that he's progressing well.
So it's not like one of those injuries where he's
gonna be able to work on something else while he's
getting better.

He's gonna have to like do nothing, and that's.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Hard.

And then come.

Aloud, I could do but I not to get back
to play. I could do nothing every day really well,
like I great at that. I have a Hall of
Famer of doing nothing every day. I but but but
you know, but he's a he's a you know, he's
an athlete, so it's tougher.

And then come August and then all of a sudden,
he's going he isn't He's such a tough position because
as stars get criticized because they're stars rightfully.

So if he comes back in August and the.

Yankees managed to stay afloat without him, and then it
takes him a minute to get back in a groove, it's.

Gonna be so rough for him.

So he's got so much, he's gonna have to do
so much. I feel bad for Aaron Judge, but hopefully,
hopefully it's just four to six weeks and we'll see
him sooner rather than later.

draw wins it over to Jarvis. Bam, one timer one

Oh, this had to happen. Come on, you couldn't let
Golden Knights win.

Good job on the Hurricanes because it did look like
the Golden Knights were we're gonna win for you know
what I'm saying.

It did look like that, but man, they came back
and he and that's what I don't know. Is it

Like you know, my brother played soccer and he said
that he always hated when the score was two zero.
He preferred it to be one zero because when it
was two zero and the other teams started scoring, they
never just scored one.

They went on to score two or three.

It's funny, you say, because there's a long standing saying
in hockey that hockey that the least safe lead to
play with is a three nothing lead. It's always it's
three nothing in hockey. You have a three nothing lead,
it's the most dangerous lead because you lose your aggressiveness
and the other team is still fighting. It's still close
enough for them to come back. And you see it
all the time team gets a goal, they feel good.
Then they get too you're getting all jittery. So yeah,

not sniffing the Hall of Fame this decade, right, It's
going to take into the twenty thirties and probably fairly
deep into the twenty thirties for him to make it.
And you think that Russell Wilson's going to jump him
that easily, I just don't see it. Yeah. Not. You know,

you still got a couple other quarterbacks coming down the
line with Roethlisberger, You've still got Rogers coming down the line.
I mean Russell Wilson. And let's just say this, for
ten solid years, Russell Wilson put up some great numbers
that should have made him an easy candidate, okay, to
get in, But you've stunk for four years. I mean stunk.

You've been awful. You became, you know, worse than a journeyman,
right and you're just kind of lumping off the off
the field right now. I do think that he's jeopardized
his chances would the way he's played. So I don't
know that I buy into him being a Hall of
Famer no matter what.

So if he retired five years ago, he'd be more
of a Hall of.

Famer, Yes's And that's the weird thing. I mean, you know,
it sounds weird, and maybe it's got a flawed argument, Okay,
but you can play so badly, especially when you're the
one who demanded your way out. I remember, you know,

it wasn't that you know, he fell apart and that
we're injuries and doubts and things just kind of hit
a tailspin sort of like you know, the middle of
Kurt Warner's career where there was this big you know,
he's dealing with a bunch of injuries, just never could
get healthy. It was a setup man for Eli Manning
for a year, you know, all those things that happened

to him, and then he had his renaissance at the
end of his career. You know, the second act of
Kurt Warner. This was an affirmative action by by Russell
Wilson to say, I want out of Seattle because I
know need to go be a star somewhere else. And
it wasn't that he wasn't a star. He was awful,

and I mean he was awful for two different coaches.
He took the you know, he took an organization, you know,
down to death squirrel, and then he went on and
became a journeyman. It wasn't a very good one for
the last couple of years. So to me, he's like, yeah,
you can play your way out of it. And I'll
say this, if he had made that one pass, or
(27:36):
if you had just handed the ball to Marshawn Linz
and said Marshaw on go, and we could live off
of the great drive that set up that touchdown, right,
Because it was a great drive to set up the
touchdown or set up the eventual play, right. It was
a really magnificent drive. If he had just lived off
of that, then yeah, I think he waltzes into the

Hall of Fame. But I think that one play is
a turning point for him because you're going to have
a lot of guys on that team who are going
to trash him, right, Like a lot of the guys
out of Seattle are going to say, no, no, no, you
don't understand. He wasn't that good. He got carried by
the defense number one, number two, And despite whatever the

stats say, that's going to be the argument against Russell
Wilson as we get closer and closer, because let's just
say this, he doesn't have a lot of friends out
of that Seattle team.

of pretty strong plays, not as strong numerically as Russell Wilson,
but it's two titles versus one. And it's one of
the biggest blunders in Super Bowl history is that is
that interception and then the falling action of that career

The quote saying a second individual also going to receive
a lifetime ban for his role in the incident, and
I look at this and I go, how are you
really gonna do this? Let's be honest, Like the the
NBA needs to get much better when it comes to

this in a few minutes, Like when it comes to
fans interacting with players and fan behavior at a game,

like they gotta they gotta treat this like this is
a serious thing, right, because luckily nothing has happened so far.
I mean it's been, you know, fifteen years since the
Malice in the Palace. But like the NBA treats stuff
like this and they think they're they're on top of it.
But how do you not have enough security to stop
a guy running on the court, especially when security's job
is to watch the stands. They're not allowed to turn

around and watch the game. They are watching the stands,
and the guy still is able to run on the
court and and and take a selfie before security gets
him off there. Like, I don't understand how the NBA
this continues to be a problem. And the NBA says, yeah,
lifetime ban. How are you gonna enforce that the guy
someone can just give hm a ticket? I mean, he
could go to game two, Like what he could go

to game two. All he's gotta do is have a
friend say you had a ticket for you, Here you
go ticket, I'm walking in and he could be at
game two.

How are you really gonna stop him from going in?

You're gonna have his picture up everywhere and you're gonna
look and go, oh, this looks like the guy looks

he were to get caught, it would be really bad

So we got more basketball on the way, but we
want to bring you this breaking story that's about You're
twenty five minutes old right now. Aaron Judge has been
missing from the Yankee lineup for the better part of
the last three days. It has been real mysterious, right,
like everything and everything in the New York Post has
been next, next, next, next, Amen, Aaron Judge hasn't been playing.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Man, this is really weird.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
And now we know why, and it is not great news.
Is Aaron Judge diagnosed with a stress fracture of the
first rib on his right side. The team making in
a statement saying he is expected to return this season,
which is never a great comment to make. I mean,
it's not as bad as out for the season, but
when you say he's expected to return this season, you
(06:07):
know that means he ain't coming.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Back for a while.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
And right now the earliest time frame for Aaron Judge
to come back, he's not gonna undergo more imaging for
another four to six weeks to see where the level
of his healing is and then see where he's at
after there. So if he gets a thoracic outlet diagnosis,
that could have knocked him out for the rest of
the year, but instead the Yankee statement is he's expected
(06:31):
to return at some point this season. Again, not great,
not the absolute worst, but now you're looking at August
for Aaron Judge to come back. In the last three
days have been crowded in a mystery for him. No
one knew why he was discomfort, why he had so
much discomfort and sat out, And finally this is what
they've come back with. And this is the second time
he's had a stress fracture of one of his ribs.
(06:52):
That happened about five or six years ago in a game.
So now the Yankees are without Aaron Judge and I
don't know that we're not gonna see to try to
push this forward now with Aron Judge coming back this year. Okay,
now you're look at him coming back potentially in August.
That's a great thing. We talked to John Palmrosi every
week and one of the questions I asked in this week,
I said, hey, it's a late trade deadline this year.
(07:15):
There seems to be you know, it's not until teams
get through about game one twelve or one thirteen, right,
so it's a very late dead list. Now you're looking
at the players you're getting, you're getting them for maybe
fifty games, right, So are we gonna see a team
or team say, hey, we're just not gonna wait until
the deadline. We're gonna kind of jump ahead to grab
(07:36):
a player that we want to and maybe we jump
start the deadline instead of waiting all the way till
the end of July. We could see some trade sooner.
And John Palm Rose said, yeah, you could see a
couple of teams there that especially they think they're contenders,
they want to make a move. But I think, honestly,
this is gonna accelerate that period because the Yankees are
not gonna be able to survive at the top of
(07:56):
the Al East without Aaron Judge. They're already chasing the Rays,
and the Rays are having a pretty good year. The
Yankees are only a couple of games out in the
loss column, but the Rays aren't going anywhere luckily for them.
It's a bad division. But if you're the Yankees, you
can't rely on.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Just oh, don't die, ay more soda.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
You can't rely on just hanging around because it's not
like you're missing one of your hitters. You're missing Aaron Joe,
missing the guy that makes the entire offense go. I
think they got to make a move early, get a
big hitter to come in that can that can help
keep the things afloat. Then you get Judged back and
it's like he's the big move. You make it the deadline.
You're getting Aaron Judge back for the better part of
(08:39):
August in September.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
Yankees absolutely have to make a move because their offense
is not good. Like the only reason that the Yankees,
I think, feel like there's a chance is because the
al sucks and their pitching is is doing really well,
especially with Garrett cole back. But you need Aaron Judge
in that line up. It sucks a couple of reasons. Like, right,
(09:02):
the first thing I thought of was like, oh, he's
not gonna win the MVP. We're not gonna have Aaron
Judge and Shoheo Tani again as the MVPs, which I
feel like, you know, after last year, we were all
probably like what it's probably gonna be the situation for
the next two to three years, Like this is just
gonna be the MVPs. So unfortunately, Like that's one of
the things that I thought of. The Yankees have to
make a move for like for a player that just
(09:24):
makes consistent hit, it makes it consistently hits the ball.
I don't they don't need somebody who's like a home
run hitter. They got to go talk to teams like
no offense to Brandon's Angels, but the Angels, the Angels
have a couple of players that can maybe go and
do some consistent hitting. For the Yankees, they gotta go
talk to like the Angels. They got to go talk
(09:44):
to those teams that really have no hope to see
what they can what they can get because the teams
that are in contention. If I'm a team in contention,
I am not helping the Yankees. There's no way, there's
no way it's gotta being is.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
But the thing is, Manci, everybody loves the Yankees prospects
like it doesn't matter who they are. Everybody thinks that, well,
the Yankees and Dodgers. Yankees and Dodgers. They think these
prospects are the greatest.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
In the world. Now, maybe they're good, maybe they're okay.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Maybe you don't until guys get on the field, but
it doesn't matter because everybody wants the Yankees prospects. It's
like me seeing like a really big pizza that gets
put on the table. I gotta have that pizza, youn know,
if it's any good, Yeah, I gotta have it. It's
that's a great look at pizza right there. Like Yankees prospects,
people feel differently about them, differently about Dodgers prospects. They feel, oh,
(10:31):
they come up in a great system. These guys are
gonna be stars.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Yeah yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
That's why the Yankees are able to make trade so
much because, yeah, you would think that people wouldn't want
to trade help the Yankees, especially within the American League,
but their prospects are so well sought after. We may
be getting a superstar player here that we have under
team control for a long time. Yeah, let's make it move.
It's what the Dodgers'll be able to make trades the
entire time all their prospects. Yeah, we'll trade Gavin Loucks,
We'll trade these guys.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
So there's a couple of teams out there that bank
and rely on the fact that the the image of
their farm system is so great. Teams can't help themselves
but want to trade with us.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
You know, I know I'm a Dodger fan, but I
feel like lately our farm system actually hasn't been that
great in the sense that the players that have been
traded have not had successful careers once they leave the Dodgers.
So is it the Dodgers, is it the farm system?
Speaker 5 (11:20):
Is it the culture? I don't know, but I hear
what you're saying.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
And this is probably why I can never be an owner,
because I'd be too petty and I'd be like, who
wants to trade?

the Yankees.

I wouldn't help any team that is a contender that
can that can make my life more difficult.

So maybe they can make a move with the contending
team that can give them even more establish it or
I'm just like you, guys gotta go get somebody that's
going to consistently hit the ball for you to even
just move, you know, players from one.

I can't the way baseball is now nowadays, Like Luis
aras to me, like, I don't understand how we don't
have more. Louis arises, that is the type of place
everyone should want on their team.

He's gonna make contact.

He's not gonna hit home runs, but he's gonna make
contact and get on base more often than not. And
instead we're looking for all these Oh look at the batter,
this the the speed of the bat in this and
Fernando Tattis Junior's home run in this home run, I
don't care about that. I want a guy who could
just get on base, somebody who's gonna hit the ball consistently.

That's what they should be looking for.

And I feel like maybe a team like the Angels
can give him something like that, because the Angels have
had a couple.

It's just they can't put enough games together, you know what,
I mean, to actually make a dent on their wins
and losses, Because again, what did I say.

The Knicks have won more games since April twenty third
than the Angels have. The Knicks, yeah, they had like
they've had ten days off, you know, a couple of
times in the playoffs, they've had some time.

But the Angels have have well, sorry, I don't mean to.
The Angels have beat good teams. So I'm saying like
there is talent there. There is talent within the Angels.
It's just the Angels so they can only two.

Mean, Look, the American League being bad as you're right,
because the AL West is terrible. You have one team
over five hundred, and the Maarons have been playing well
the last couple of weeks. So now, okay, so they're
the team they're over five hundred. The other teams are
all just kind of hanging out. Even the Central is
not great. Look, the White Sox are still two games
out of first place. But it would be one thing

if it was a bat, Like if you were missing Stanton,
you're missing It's one thing to say, hey, we're missing
a big hitter, like you know, all right, we'll try
to stay afloat. We're gonna move guys around No, you know,
you don't get around working around the best hitter in
the American League, right and and by anybody's metric, at worst,
the second best hitter in all of baseball, right Like
you you're not just gonna say, yeah, we'll stay a float. No,
(13:43):
you stay afloat with with with without you know, could
stay afloat without Ben Rice. You can stay a float
without you know, a bunch of different plays. You can't
stay afloat without Aaron Judge that the guy makes the
entire offense going. There's a reason why you know, we're
talking about in the Mount rushmore great Yankees. With the
end of his playing days, he's gonna be on it.
Like it's one thing to say to look and say, well,
you look at the al it's not that great. We

hang around here for the next you know, two.

Months or so.

But this is you are losing the best hitter in
the lineup. You losing the best hitter in the American League.
Like you can't just say, well, we're gonna try to
move around this. Like that's a guy you have to
go out and replace at some way, some level. You
have to go out and replace him.

Yeah, and let's not even forget what he does in
right field, Like I know, I know that the Yankees
need him for offensive purposes more than anything because they've.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
Just had a bad a bad in and out is.

How the season has gone for them when it comes
to their offense. But what he does in right field
is still so every time, every time anybody tries to
steal third base on Aaron Judge, he throws them out
from right field. It's like, you cannot steal third base
from Aaron Judge.

Joe can't put him in center field in the World Series.

He's hurt. You can't do that. He's hurt.

Joe Adell from the Angels, they're out that outfielder. He
that that is somebody that Yankee should go try and
make a move for because yeah.

He already got hit in the head and had a
whole run go over the fence.

So you know, so he can't do Listen, he can't
do it again.

He can't look a Yeah, he's gotten passed past the
worst play he'll ever make. So you're okay.

So you're okay. I I feel like, get somebody that
can go to the outfilt and can hit.

Yeah, they're gonna they have to like the Yankees, Like
there's no way you could just sit back and say, yeah,
we're gonna.

Piecemeal things together.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
No, no, don't do that.

And especially since his return is not even guaranteed, like, Okay,
there's enough season left where okay, he's coming back in August,
it's where we expect him back. But whenever you're talking
about a guy is gonna be out, and you're talking about,
you know, two months, two plus months before the guy
can return, you're not. This is not an exact science.
This isn't Hey, we're putting him on the ILU for
ten days. We expect him back. He's gonna he's gonna
(15:44):
get back with the team on Thursday, he's gonna gear
gear up. We're looking him to come back on Wednesday
the following week, Like this is yeah, I'll be reevaluated. Yeah, no, no, no,
because what if something happens he doesn't come back, what
if he can't come back in August is not till September.
You don't want to give away a season where potentially,
despite the fact you've been up and down and now
your pitching is really good, you don't want to give
(16:04):
that away. Especially the American League is so weak, Like
I think they got to make a move, and I
think that'll jump start the trade deadline, because once the
Yankees make a move for somebody, somebody else is gonna
do it. Somebody else will do it, and then we're
not gonna sit here and wait till the very very
end to see teams make trades.
Speaker 6 (16:18):
And what super sucks about this injury is that he
he can't do anything, like he has to take it
so easy in order for him to be able to
say in four to six weeks that he's progressing well.
So it's not like one of those injuries where he's
gonna be able to work on something else while he's
getting better.

He's gonna have to like do nothing, and that's.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Hard.
Speaker 5 (16:41):
And then come.

Aloud, I could do but I not to get back
to play. I could do nothing every day really well,
like I great at that. I have a Hall of
Famer of doing nothing every day. I but but but
you know, but he's a he's a you know, he's
an athlete, so it's tougher.

And then come August and then all of a sudden,
he's going he isn't He's such a tough position because
as stars get criticized because they're stars rightfully.

Yankees managed to stay afloat without him, and then it
takes him a minute to get back in a groove, it's.

Gonna be so rough for him.

So he's got so much, he's gonna have to do
so much. I feel bad for Aaron Judge, but hopefully,
hopefully it's just four to six weeks and we'll see
him sooner rather than later.

It might take him, maybe not the first on the

if and under this voting system that we currently have,

but under this voting system that we have, where like
getting Eli Manning into the Hall of Fame is going

to take like an Act of Congress, you know, I
mean it's gonna be I mean, he's not Eli Manning's
not sniffing the Hall of Fame this decade, right, It's
going to take into the twenty thirties and probably fairly
deep into the twenty thirties for him to make it.
And you think that Russell Wilson's going to jump him
that easily, I just don't see it. Yeah. Not. You know,

you still got a couple other quarterbacks coming down the
line with Roethlisberger, You've still got Rogers coming down the line.
I mean Russell Wilson. And let's just say this, for
ten solid years, Russell Wilson put up some great numbers
that should have made him an easy candidate, okay, to
get in, But you've stunk for four years. I mean stunk.

You've been awful. You became, you know, worse than a journeyman,
right and you're just kind of lumping off the off
the field right now. I do think that he's jeopardized
his chances would the way he's played. So I don't
know that I buy into him being a Hall of
Famer no matter what.

So if he retired five years ago, he'd be more
of a Hall of.

Famer, Yes's And that's the weird thing. I mean, you know,
it sounds weird, and maybe it's got a flawed argument, Okay,
but you can play so badly, especially when you're the
one who demanded your way out. I remember, you know,

it wasn't that you know, he fell apart and that
we're injuries and doubts and things just kind of hit
a tailspin sort of like you know, the middle of
Kurt Warner's career where there was this big you know,
he's dealing with a bunch of injuries, just never could
get healthy. It was a setup man for Eli Manning
for a year, you know, all those things that happened

to him, and then he had his renaissance at the
end of his career. You know, the second act of
Kurt Warner. This was an affirmative action by by Russell
Wilson to say, I want out of Seattle because I
know need to go be a star somewhere else. And
it wasn't that he wasn't a star. He was awful,

and I mean he was awful for two different coaches.
He took the you know, he took an organization, you know,
down to death squirrel, and then he went on and
became a journeyman. It wasn't a very good one for
the last couple of years. So to me, he's like, yeah,

Major League Baseball, the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks are underway.
It was almost done in Arizona, but LA is up

They as Max Munsey was running towards first base, they
literally crash hard. It looked like a football play almost
for a hot second. Both of those players did leave
the game. There's no update on anything further, but they

Bottom of the ninth inning, Pirates already defeated the Astros
five to one. Cubs walked it off on a pie
Crow Armstrong RBI single to defeat the A's seven to six.

Earlier in the day, the Yankees won one against the
Guardians two to one to avoid the sweep.

Judge has been diagnosed with a stress fracture on the
first rip on his right side. He's gonna be sidelined indefinitely.
He's gonna undergo more imaging tests in about four to
six weeks to determine how he's progressing.

They don't expect this.

To be a season ending injury, but obviously best case
scenario is that he could return sometime in August.

started yelling in a foreign language, and I had to
stop her from taking a selfie with me.

how insane was that? It's so good?

Uh So, the NBA has decided to ban this fan
for life from NBA arenas actually banning two fans, not
just the guy who ran to take the selfie.

The quote saying a second individual also going to receive
a lifetime ban for his role in the incident, and
I look at this and I go, how are you
really gonna do this? Let's be honest, Like the the
NBA needs to get much better when it comes to
and and we'll get into the Jalen Brunston side of
this in a few minutes, Like when it comes to
fans interacting with players and fan behavior at a game,

like they gotta they gotta treat this like this is
a serious thing, right, because luckily nothing has happened so far.
I mean it's been, you know, fifteen years since the
Malice in the Palace. But like the NBA treats stuff
like this and they think they're they're on top of it.
But how do you not have enough security to stop
a guy running on the court, especially when security's job
is to watch the stands. They're not allowed to turn

around and watch the game. They are watching the stands,
and the guy still is able to run on the
court and and and take a selfie before security gets
him off there. Like, I don't understand how the NBA
this continues to be a problem. And the NBA says, yeah,
lifetime ban. How are you gonna enforce that the guy
someone can just give hm a ticket? I mean, he
could go to game two, Like what he could go

to game two. All he's gotta do is have a
friend say you had a ticket for you, Here you
go ticket, I'm walking in and he could be at
game two.

How are you really gonna stop him from going in?

You're gonna have his picture up everywhere and you're gonna
look and go, oh, this looks like the guy looks
like the guy, Like, how are you gonna really do that?

He could walk into game two and probably get on
a jump bo trying hey taking selfies with Like, I

even if you have unless you have kids, they're they're
very you have to have a ticket.

known to have. I do think these securities have meetings
and they're like, this is the picture of the guy,
and it wouldn't surprise me, Jason.

You get a bonus at the end of the night,
So people they may be on alert to look for
this guy. Also, this guy doing that trying to sneak
into a game, because you're right, he could add facial

he can't go. So if he is banned and he
does it, isn't it like a criminal thing he's doing.

Like I know that they can't stop him, but if
he were to get caught, it would be really bad
for him. And I think that's the whole point of it.
