You wanted chaos, We give you who Chaos The Pack
twelve after Dark, told you last night, told you so
many times. USC has lost games like this all the time. Games.
They should win games, they should close out. For some reason,

(01:04):
they just don't. They let teams hang around. They let
teams get back into games. Doesn't matter if it's Lincoln Riley,
if it's Clay Hilton, if it's Pete Carroll, they do it.
And when we picked Utah to win this game last night,
that's exactly why this is a game. USC got out
seven team three. They were crushing Utah. The game was
all all it was was just keep executing on offense

(01:27):
and the game is over. And then suddenly Utah gets
back in the game. They sez all thementiment halftime, and
they just boat race USC in the second half to
win at twenty four. And now USC is gonna be
out of the playoff picture, and it's gonna be big
time arguments about who should get in between Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee,
Pens But I'm telling you Clemson sitting at number nine,

(01:50):
they're the only team with a game tomorrow. Penn State's
not playing, Tennessee is not playing, Alabama's not playing Ohio
State's not playing US. None of these teams are playing.
And Clemson is going to be if they beat North Carolina,
they will be a two lost Power five conference champion.
Now with two loss team, it's tough to get it.
But you're a two lost Power five conference champion, and

(02:13):
everybody else has one loss, and other teams have one
team has one loss, everybody else has two losses. What
are you gonna do. Who's gonna wind up getting in
it's getting right now. It's honestly, it's between Clemson and
Ohio State. That's what it is. Yeah, we're gonna keep
you and see it no matter what. The The one
part of the drama that that kind of sucks harmy

(02:34):
because we get all this chaos tonight, is that Georgia,
Michigan and TCU games tomorrow really don't matter because with
with Ohio, with the USC losing tonight, these undefeated teams
to wear that right now, you lose the conference championship,
They're not gonna fall out of the top four. They're not.
It's just not gonna happen. TCU is likely going to
be in even a twelve and one, so is Michigan,

(02:56):
so is Georgia. So the drama of some of those
games has kind to left us a little bit because
it's really all of the clubs and game because if
you are one of these other teams, you need clubs
and to lose, because you're talking about two lost clubs
and a CEC champions Forget it, pet State, forget it, Tennessee,
forget it. Alabama. You guys didn't win your conference you
have two losses, same as Clubs and clubs of Power

(03:18):
five conference champion. It's really Clubs and or Ohio State
clubs and loses, It'll be Ohio State. You think they
can't make the argument Clubs and deserves to get it
over Ohio State. Just watch. They're the only ones with
the game tomorrow and a chance to oppress everybody with
a big win the a SEC title game. Trust me,
on Clubs, I would say this the one thing that
potentially puts a wrinkle in it. And I know folks

(03:39):
don't want to hear it. Here's how many top twenty
five teams they beat and everything else. Tc loses and
USES loses handily. The door opens. As much as we
can say no, no, no, they only have one loss.
They shouldn't be left out. It's like no, no, no, no,
that's not the way this works. We know this. There's logic,
and then there's the College Football Playoff Committee when it

(04:00):
comes down to it. And k stayed and for those
that forget, had a seventeen lead over TCU at halftime
at their game earlier this year in in late October,
and then twenty one. Nothing was the score after the
break Casey never found the painted grass once again. But

(04:21):
say they go out and they put up a big
effort and take TCU down handily, no chaos ensues. Uh.
And the game we just watched, I mean for the
second straight big game that we're watching right you watching
Michigan and all the extended family eating their muskrat dinners
for Thanksgiving and all excited about the bludgeoning of a

(04:44):
house state. We saw it again here and I don't
want to hear the excuse. Well, Caleb Williams wasn't a
hundred you know what. He he stayed and he played
the damn game. Also, they gave up five hundred thirty
three yards. It's a lot of your offense. No, no,
but I'm just calling what it is. We solved the
time where it's no, no, no, he played, so you
know he was terrible. Well, Cayleb Williams played. He couldn't move,

(05:05):
which means the mobility, the escapability, the broken plays where hey,
my guys down there and all I gotta do is
set my feet and wing it. Those plays weren't there
because he couldn't shake free down the stretch. No, I'm
just being realistic about I'm just trying to be fair
about it because everybody's you know, rubbing in his shoulders
going it's okay, No, he played and they got hammered

(05:28):
because of it. On the offensive side, they were what
one of twelve on third downs. I'm about explaining that
away too, not to mention the coaching decisions on a
couple of things in the first half. Now I'm fired up. Well,
I agree with you on one point and completely disagree
on the other. I agree with you on the USC
Caleb Williams because Utah had already taken control of the

(05:49):
game before Caleb Williams got hurt, right, They had already
they already come out in the second half, and they
already scored a touchdown, They had already caused the three
amount got a big sack on USC. They had taken
control of the game. And that's when Caleb Williams wound
up getting hurt. Still got him down the field of score.
So I agree with you there. Here's why I disagree
with you on TCU. Say TCU does lose tomorrow and

(06:09):
they finished twelve and one, all right, TCU as one
loss Alabama, Tennessee, Penn State, Cleanson State, Clemson. They all
math works, right, Yeah, I remember my my math. They
all have two losses. None of them is getting in
over a one loss team, especially a one loss team

(06:30):
that made it to their conference championship game, something none
of those teams have done. So now you're down to
a one loss TCU at a one loss Ohio State. Okay,
we want lost TCU. One loss Ohio State. The last
time we saw Ohio State they lost by twenty at
home to another college football playoff team. TCU made it
to the conference championship game and lost. They achieved more.

(06:52):
So if you think they're just gonna jump ahead at
tc I don't see TCU falling down because even if
they lose, they lose thirty one three, there's are gonna
make because they're a one loss team that made it
to the conference championship game. Then there's certain things the
committee does that they put much more emphasis on, and
making it to a conference championship being a conference champion

(07:12):
are big things. Yes, we can argue the one loss
two losses for the non conference champions which is great,
but when you have those slots to fill with teams
that have lost one game and won their conference championship,
made it there and you're trying to fill it with
teams that didn't even make it to this weekend. That's
a tough sell, and it's gonna be a tough sell
to say, well, all right, Alabama gets it over TCU.
Wait what Yeah, we're taking Alabama. They lost, it doesn't matter.

(07:35):
That's a really tough sell for the committee who clearly
thought TCU was this good already because they had them
at number three. If they didn't think TCU was good
enough and they felt TCU had to win their way
in tomorrow, they would be on the outside looking at
They would be fifth or six, and it was okay,
we like TCU, and if they win, we'll put you
up there. But if you lose, well, you already have

(07:56):
teams ahead of you, so they don't. They don't want
to get in a position where, hey, we're gonna do
with something that really looks bad. We're all we're gonna
yank you out because we had you up way too high.
You're up undefeated at number three. Right now, you lose
the conference title game, okay, you dropped the four, and
and you know, if someone gets in ahead of you,
they get up ahead to three. Whatever it is. But
you're still gonna wind up being in the playoff. No.
I like that in theory and the logic sound. Don't

(08:19):
get me wrong, you always like life theories. You always
like my logic. You always do. No, no, no, at
least the base set up. It's the end result that
we usually uh come come to be beat down at
the end, and it's trying to get into the minds
of of what everybody is trying to accomplish. Right, if
we're we're looking for putting on and as you and

(08:40):
I have discussed from many years in this if you
have the human element that creates a better television product,
then sometimes you're gonna be leaning to the television product
over perhaps what logic or what the what is quote
unquote right should be. And that's all I'm saying, right

(09:01):
with TCU. Yeah, narrow loss, Sure, I have no argument.
But since we're talking chaos theory, that that was part
of what we saw right here. Right. Not only did
USC lose, they got bludgeon for the second time by
the same same opponent. There out of the equation, but
but just the idea of coming into this game, did

(09:21):
you expect to blow out? No, we picked you taught
to win the game, but thought it would be a
late defensive issue that caused it. Not. Hey, these guys
have you've knocked the will out of them and ability
or aptitude and wherever they displayed it in the past
to be able to make a tackle in the open field. Hell,
a couple of times they ran right over the guy.

(09:42):
It's like I was playing a video game back in
the day, you know, where you'd hear the grunting of
the guy and then all of a sudden he was
over the top of you because of the video glitch. Yeah,
that's that's kind of what we're looking at here. But no,
I'm not certainly not rooting against d c U. I
root for chaos, and a loss throws things, at least
into the argument standpoint of well, are the two losses

(10:05):
more quality than this one would be? I guess whet
into some of that. But let me let me go
back to last year, because if you look at what
the final standings were after championship weekend, you add Oklahoma,
Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, and Baylor

(10:25):
all with two losses. Right, Yeah, those are a couple
of rock star programs. There in Ohio State, Notre Dame
in Oklahoma that all sat there with two losses, who
got into the playoff with one loss Cincinnati. So a
one loss sauce gardener, you like, and I did there, right,
So one gardener singleheadedly carrying his team into the college

(10:46):
foot So last year they showed you, yeah, we'll take
the we'll take the mid majorish team, we'll take the
Cincinnati Okay, they're thirteen and one, but you have all
these other really good teams that may be better that
I have two losses. Yeah, but we took Cincinnati. So
they've already given us. The press said that that if
this happens, you're a one lost team and you make
it far, you make it to your conference, and whatever
it is, we'll take you. So they took Cincinnati last

(11:07):
year where there were other better TV options on the table.
Ohio State's better TV option, don't your name is better
TV option. Oklahoma's a better TV option, and they still
want um taking Cincinnati. Well, yes, you've got one, one
data point that you can bring up, and that's good.
It's one, one greater than zero, just like one less
than two. Uh, And then they went hard. But that's
why the math is that hard. That's why I could

(11:27):
do it so well, because the math isn't hard. We
didn't get in be able to do it. No, we
didn't expand the algorithm and anything. But seven six is
your final in that game against Alabama? Is that enough
to say we don't do it again? All I'm doing
is playing Devil's Advocate all of this right, because you've
got humans in and what do we know? Humans are fallible?

(11:48):
If you just put it into a power ranking and
just the computer is gonna spit out the answer, this
is what they're gonna do. Let's say us these things in.
I mean, how great would that be? Come on you guys,
that's that's w W E style you right there? Yeah, no,

(12:09):
this just war games on that. That's somebody coming out
of the locker room and shower shoes to help stop
for getting hit over with a chair in the middle
of the ring. That's what that is. Oh yeah, any
first responder will tell you never try to beat a
train after breaking It could take a mile for a
train to completely stop. So when you come to a
rail crossing stop because trains can't well, we'll see what

(12:31):
our next guest has to say, does he think everybody
is in? Is ken Clemson get in tomorrow with a win?
Is that the game to look at? Pete few Tech

all the answers coming up next, Jason and Mike from

first responder will tell you never try to beat a
train after breaking It could take a mile for a
train to completely stop. So when you come to a

(13:15):
rail crossing stop because trains can't well Utah, when's the
Pac twelve Championship? They stun USCO. They come from a
seventeen three deficit in the first half and they boat
race USC. So now chaos has Cutch football playoff. Much

(13:35):
like one of the favorite phrases, our next guest always
runs with us. You talk about hell coming to breakfast.
That's what's gonna happen tomorrow morning. In college football. You're
one stop shopping for college football is college football News
dot com. He's been with us all season, every season.
Now what is next? After USC's defeat, Let's say hi

(13:56):
to Pete feu tech Pete. What's happening? Man? Do I
need to talk to you? And all all my other
Michigan friends off the ledge? They were so happy last week?
But now Ohio State's back. You didn't kill him? That
there there you You thought you won, You thought you
killed the beast. No nose might probably gonna be back
in this thing. Now wait a minute, all right, so

(14:17):
let's deal with a bunch of different things, because now
craziness is here. Let a few minutes ago, the biggest
game tomorrow now becomes Clemson North Carolina. No, no, you
know Clemson beats North No, Clemson's got to get in
over all the other two loss? You know? Did they
get in over one loss? Ohio State not chant Ohio

(14:38):
State beat Notre Dame. Clemson got trucked by Notre Dame.
It's over. There's look, watch the US men's football soccer team,
go Christmas shopping, enjoy the day. It's over. We've got before.
I wish it was more interesting. Than that. If there
was to an expanded college football playoffs tomorrow, if this
isn't tomorrow, it would be one of the five biggest

(14:59):
day is on the sports calendar, because now you're talking
about Perdue in North Carolina and Clemson and Kansas Day
all with a puncher's chance to not only get in
but have a buy. And no, we we got this
at this point. We know where this is going. It's
going to We've got the three teeth. He was pretty
guaranteed at this point. Uh, And I just don't think

(15:22):
they're not going to put in a house. They look
in the history of Accountant did not win its college
football Playoff championship. They have put in one lost teams
before Alabama, one up before member Taylor, to a to
uh Davante and how State got in one year. So
very simple. The four teams in the in college football
GON have one loss or fewer. And there you go.

(15:44):
Let me just throw up with Christian politic. I had
to clear my throw and we could talk about America
pelvic injury like I've never heard that one. Like the
poem isn't the pelvis I guess it covers the whole area.
And one that's a good euphemism pelvic contusion. Oh all yeah, okay, exactly.

(16:04):
Good luck with dad. We'll see how he runs if
there's a little bit of running gingerly to start the
game tomorrow. But say k State Roles and just absolutely
bullies TCU. Can there be uh an opening for the
TCU to get left out? No, because I would think

(16:27):
for who maybe for USC? I mean now I think
hurt body. No, Well, that that's you know what that
is something though, because Caleb being hurt, the committee like
I don't, I don't want to. As I was just
talking before the It's like America had never seen the
USC defense before. This is what it does. This is

(16:48):
not new four yards or more than what six of
the last seven games and five hundred and well, they
give up five sixty two in the first game against Utah,
they give up five thirty three tonight. The difference Caleb
Elliams was hurt, so it's not play. He didn't leave
the mild. Yeah, but he couldn't run you know that. Well,
he's not gonna tackle anybody, no, but we know. But

(17:11):
here's the here the theoretic argument about this. I remember
we're dealing with the panel of judges here and if
you're gonna argue that I don't want to hear from
the committee, Well we dropped USC because we didn't like
their defense. Oh no, that was baked into the cake
when they got when you all put him at four
last week. So that's not why. That's no reason to
drop him. You know what this defense is when you
put him at four, So that cannot be an excuse.

(17:35):
I do think it's just again, it's gonna be just
as easy, and they can say, you know, look, you
know one lost team, the two loss team, we've never
done it before, didn't win conference champ there that they
USC had to play one extra game in Ohouse. They didn't.
But there you go. All right, wait now, because I'm
gonna get you to get to some kind of chaos.

(17:56):
Let's what about this, Hey, Kayla Williams was hurt in
the second half USC. They played well in the first half,
was on the board. Maybe we take a two loss
USC team because Caleb Williams got hurt again, not shocking,
you know, I would not be good lucky. I want
to see who the who the nice person has to be,

(18:17):
who gets put out there, who has to tell them
back to Ohio State. We're talking about the most. You
know they're unhappy to begin with. Then they could probably
get in this when they'll beat Michigan seventy five and
nothing in the National Championship, when the national title could
stetue be down and they'll still be angry. Oh we
lost to Michigan before. It was the perfect season like that.

(18:38):
Good luck telling the house State's not in it. That
would be a rough one. But no, I mean, who
knows what they're thinking. Again, I don't think I think
we overthink this a little bit. Look, USC had a
great year. You know that they did roll u C
l A at the end of Notre Dame, but Ohio
State their first by double digit. They had their own

(19:00):
slew of injuries, which should change a little bit, assuming
that you know, some of these guys will be back
with a month off. I just, I just, I would
be shocked if it's not a house day at this point,
because you're changing the present. They have never allowed in
a two loss team. I don't think it's a good
time either. We can see a battle of top twenty
five teams tomorrow U C F and two Lane for

(19:22):
as low as seven dollars. I just thought I'd thrown
out there Sanders to Colorado. What does it mean? I'm
jealous as a Wisconsin grad. All right, fine, Luke Fickle, Great, Yeah,
I suppose it's all right. I wanted Dion. I mean,
that's that's that's thinking of it's even thinking outside the box.
It's just changing your thought process because of the world

(19:44):
and who knows better about how to brand, name, image
and likeness. Who better to bring the energy to a
place like Colorado and all this stuff about Well, he's
ProMED time. He wants a big The guy likes fishing.
He's kind of a down to earth guy who just
know he's he is prime time. He is all that,
but he also is kind of just a regular guy.
And he busted his tail. He worked it. He was

(20:07):
great at Jackson State. Or it is just stilling great
at Jackson State. He's turned into a darn good coach.
And okay, that's you know, Hugh Freeze, Matt Rule, Luke Vickle, Okay,
that's a little bit of a failure of imagination. They're
all good coaches and they'll be fine. If I wasn't.
I'm I'm fired up. If I'm a Colorado fan, I'm like, Okay,
let's let's roll with this. Let's see how this is
gonna work, because this is gonna, at the very least,

(20:29):
you're gonna have a whole lot of fun. Well, here's
the thing, Pete, is that when when this story first broke,
not surprised by it. I'm stunned that Colorado is gonna
be where he ends up because Dion, he's had a
meteoric rise right when when he first gets in, nobody's
gonna really give him the keys to a program. So
I start small Jackson State. Look at what he does.
I thought he was primed to take that SEC type

(20:52):
jump where suddenly I'm getting a job with on things
I'm talking with Brian Kelly about stuff like I didn't
think he'd have to make a stop Colorado before he
wound up getting a bigger gig subplace else. I really
would say when this happened, I said, Okay, this is
Colorado being used, but he's gonna wind up someplace bigger.
I'm really surprised the turn's going to turn out to
be Colorado, I guess, But like I'm still into the

(21:13):
camp of why do you want that SEC gig? I
mean what you want to beat your head against that
wall and go eight and four every year even though
you're really good and you don't win anything, and you
can be awesome and still not you know, and still
get trucks by an Alabama or you beat Alabama and
then next week, all of a sudden, Tennessee tags you.
I mean, Colorado. It's a good fit. It's it's got

(21:37):
it's the best of all possible worlds in a lot ways.
The pressure is relatively off. He could do. He can
make that program his It does have a history we
all be you know that a couple of decades ago
now of being able to be a national championship power.
As Bill McCartney once said, if you show me a
kid that's interested in going to Nebraska, I'll say, hey,
look at Lincoln, Nebraska. Please then let me bring you

(22:00):
to Boulder, Colorado, and let me show you that and
I'll get him every time. Uh. And he closes up
to Denver. I mean, it's still you know what, a
driver and three wood away from a major metropolitan city
where it does have a major media market aspect to it.
So I think there's a whole lot of things here
that really make Colorado an attractive pick for for Dion,
which is why you came dangerously close to starting your

(22:21):
analysis with let's ride. He's had by four of my
favorite players ever, so I just again, if he was
at Wisconsin, I would be total fan blowing out right now.
How surprised are you that that he's done this this fast?
A little bit, you know, because I thought he'd be okay.
But you know, he's got all the other side things happening,

(22:43):
He's got all the all the other stuff he does.
He is a celebrity. Sometimes the guys don't necessarily want
to put in the work, and sometimes he can't teach
what you can do because if you're just that good,
you can't really teach it to anybody else. But he's
been great. I mean, it starts with being able to recruit.
It's against it's the energy that he brought to Jackson State. Uh.
And again his teams have been very well coached so far.

(23:07):
And if yeah, let's see what he can do with
the buff in either of those other playoffs scenarios. I think,
just because we have to check all the boxes, any
snowball's chance in the in health that either that Michigan
somehow gets upended by produce. Yeah, it doesn't matter, that matter.

(23:27):
Yeah they could they they could lose, and that's that's
the only real drama here. And to go back to
your teeth new thing before, I'm getting really obscure here,
but I think it was two thousands where Kansas State
came in and rolled Oklahoma, number one ranked Oklahoma and
they got just rocked. I think it was like thirty
five seven, and it's like, oh my gosh, you can't
put in Oklahoma now. They just got destroyed in the

(23:48):
conference championship game. And what were they They were number
one in the BCS the next week and in USC
got left out even though it lost to Aaron rodgers By,
you know or something like that. It was really close.
So if there is precedent for losing a big game
like that and still being undefeated and getting in, I
think TCUs find No matter what to your question about

(24:09):
Michigan and Georgia, the drama here is going to be
The College Football Committee is really really is sincere. They
really want the four best teams. There are no ulterior
motives with them. With that said, they would love to
put Georgia in the Peach Bowl because they would love
to fill the stands and have those optics in Atlanta. Now,
if Michigan wins, and do you win and Michigan goes

(24:32):
to one THIEFU goes to what do you do? You
can't really put Georgia in the Peach Bowl and say, hey, TCU, Hey,
we're giving you the credit being the two seed in
Atlanta against Georgia. So that's a little bit of drama there,
I mean. But other than that, Look, Michigan could Michigan
could lose to Purdue. I mean they could. It could
be like Georgia Alabama last year, where you know they

(24:54):
won already, they got the win over ohiuse State. They're
in no matter what, you know, you lose Cora on
you know, the mad the Smith stuff happening, and you're
just kind of try they're gonna care, but maybe they
don't have the A game and you know, Produce thinking, hey,
we got the Road Bowl here if we win this.
So I wouldn't be totally stunned to produce. I don't
think it's gonna happen, but I wouldn't be totally stunned
to Purdue wins. It doesn't matter Michigan's going to the

(25:14):
Fiesta Bowl. Not pretty much, no matter what. You can

throwing cold water all over all the Now we got
the four teams that that well, I mean, but but
the job is to throw it. But the job is
to throw up scenarios. We know what the schedules have been.
That's all fine and good. We're at this point now

(26:20):
and saying, when you put a bunch of people in
a room a bunch that have different agendas no matter what, because,
as Pete said, the altruistic four best team things is Yeah,
I take it all with a grain of salt. I'm
not that naive. I wasn't born yesterday. Uh, that potential
for chaos. He tried to put the cold water, as

(26:41):
you say, on our scalding hot takes. And that's fine.
We'll see how in play it comes out. Just wait,
Clemson is Clemson, they are rock stars, Clemson winds and
suddenly that's a thing, and they win the A C C.
That's a thing. That's gonna be a thing. Be sure
to catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with
Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific,

(27:04):
Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harman from the tirect dot Com Studios. Now
we'll get to Jacob de Grand coming up in a
few minutes. Is the Mets as is now a ranger?
I know, I know, I know, I'm always how he's
former Mets. I'm I'm I am okay, because I told

(27:24):
you this is gonna happen for a long time. We'll
get to that coming up in a couple of minutes
as we're live from the tirect dot com studios. Jason Smith,
Mike Harmon. Any first responder will tell you never try
to beat a train after breaking It can take a
mile for a train to completely stop, so when you
come to a rail crossing stop because trains can't. So
it's not a great night in l A with USC

(27:45):
losing and falling out of the college football playoff. But
this is one of those when one door closes, another
one opens kind of nights because one of the other
big stories of the night, the Lakers beat the Bucks
one thirty three to one. Twenty Bucks have been playing
really well and clearly the reason the Lakers were able
to win this game is because the Bucks were still

(28:05):
exhausted from beating them mix the other night. So that's
what happened here is and look, we're just too tired
to the Lakers can go out and win. But yeah,
because Janice had no energy or aptitude to what do
you have? What do you what do you have? Four
points tonight having on oh forty how to how to
cook for humans? How to cook for forty humans? How

(28:30):
to cook forty humans? Uh? Anthony Davis Tonight for the
Lakers in the win forty four points, ten rebounds, four assists,
and three blocks. He shoots eight seven from the floor.
And this last eight games, he has turned into the
player the Lakers thought and hoped they were getting three

(28:50):
years ago because the e D they've gotten. Look, they
won the title in you can't take that away. But overall,
Anthony Davis has kind of been existing on his zical gifts.
He can't stay in the lineup, he gets hurt too often.
He's someone who, as good as he is, just kind
of plays. Where's the motivation? Where's a d turning into
the monster we all know he can be? And something

(29:13):
happened for Anthony Davis eight games ago. And there was
one day between the loss of Sacramento when he went
for twenty four and fourteen and a day later against
Brooklyn where he went for thirty seven. And that started
this run of eight games thirty seven, thirty eight, thirty
thirty seven, twenty five and fifteen, thirteen and six, twelve

(29:37):
and three forty four tonight. Something happened between those games.
That's the biggest mystery in sports. And I wanted to
answer to what happened for Anthony Davis to flip the
switch like this because a lot of it is just involvement.
Everything is up from his field goal attempts are up,
his blocks are up, his rebounds are up. He's more active.
He's just become that guy. It's not like suddenly he's

(29:59):
figured something out that he didn't have before. Oh I
got this new weapon because I've been working on this
low post move. No, he suddenly is just become that
monster player. What was it was it? Was it a
conversation with Lebron James. Did Lebron say, hey, dude, I
need you, I need more and it's about time. Did
the Lakers say, dude, this season is not going well.
We're looking to trade you as time goes on. Wait,

(30:19):
I don't want to get traded. Hang on, hang on,
hang on, hang on. What is it like? What was
Did Darvin ham have some kind of magical words that
he spoke. If Darmon Hamm was able to do that,
I want Darwin had to be the head coach of
the Jets so he could get Zack Wilson to being
a good player. But doesn't matter. We have Mike right now. Uh.
What what was it like? Because something happened Mike something
that was very switch was off, switch was on. What

(30:41):
happened in between that Sacramento game and the Brooklyn game
to turn Anthony Davis into a guy who right now,
if you're saying who's the m v P of the
NBA so far, he's in the top three. I mean,
I know it's earlier. We talked earlier about mv but
but he's in the top three right now. And what
what's happened to turn him into that player? Because it
was something in between those two games. You know, he's
been phenomenal. I don't know, is there a film review

(31:02):
session where it was like, here's all the missed opportunities
that you needed, the super cut with some kind of
soundtrack to it. Motivational speaker Darvin Ham getting ready. I
mean he could jump into the coaching clinic. We can
have him do a speech before you get into the
time out management for on the football side, I mean
get both in. I mean in college basketball and then

(31:22):
the NBA. You get too many time outs, I mean
you never use them all. Really. Uh So we go
through there, but forty four ten and four tonight, Lebron James, Congratulations,
he passed Magic Johnson on the all time assists UM
leaderboard there as well. But when those two guys are
playing and Lebron, you know, night tonight managing minutes and

(31:45):
trying to push through with Davis. This stretch of the
last say ten games has been absurd, and it's the
guy that you saw back in the day in New
Orleans before there was the Operation shut down and trade
demands and everything else. To where he's he's laying on
both ends of the court with with that intensity that's
flowing through. Is forty minutes a night sustainable. That's a

(32:07):
whole other question to ask for the long term, but
in the moment you appreciate it for what it is
and seeing a guy re reinvigorated, whatever the root causes.
I'm sure there's gonna be some thought pieces floating now
from the l A Times and other sources here. In
short order, I'll text Waikey, will meet up over uh,
you know, some hot dog and Italian beef uh and

(32:28):
see if he's got theories Italian beef, m V p VP.
It's something for him. I don't know what it is,
but it's something that's the biggest mystery in sports. I
want the championship, our best of podcast goes up about
