unhappy with the officiating at the especially in the fourth quarter,
the Thunder pulling away. Now Chet Holmgren getting superstar calls.
Chet's getting superstar calls. Chat's a star man. Not just
look at him, not SGA just jumping in and falling down.
Now s g A and chedd are doing interviews together.

It's like, alright, man, like he's character in Borot. We're
cold right now? Yeah he does. He's wearing like a
peach colored full outfit that looks to be like three
I mean something, No, but he looks like it's something
that's like three sizes too big for him. Yeah, yeah,
like I got okay, it's supposed to grow in. I
mean he's a slight man in twenties. You're still gonna

you're gonna fill outbill still working well. So Lakers very
upset with the officiating. Lebron demonstratively upset with the officials.
Austin reeves even more upset with the officials. Video after
the game, after the final buzzer of the Thunder victory,
they pull away by eighteen seven, and they're all standing

and yelling at the officials like this is like okay,
we're all gonna have a conversation, soccer game or softball game.
Don't worry. It's like we have to calm the parents.
I'll talk to him after the game. Door, I'll talk

for we got to JJ Reddick. So it was the
championship game. I think it was you twelve soccer and
the c R gave the other team two penalties, including
one in the final minute of the game, and my
parents wanted to kill this guy. Wanted to absolutely because

there was no fault. And even the ar on my
side said, oh, coach, I'm sorry, that's a horrible call,
and I go if you just want to go home,
tell me you want to go home. And it was
absolutely terrible. Everybody in the stands like, what are you doing?
What are you doing? So of course she scores, she
was the best player in the league. She scores. We
lose two to one, and after the game. We're getting everybody,

you know, getting our medals. They're getting their medals. And
the father of my goalie comes across the field, and
he's coming across the field like you know when when
someone's getting beaten up in a ring in wrestling, and
oh my goodness, look at that. And you know, the
two guys are beating up the one guy, and here
comes somebody running out of the locker room, and thus

a tag team, a rivalry is born, right, And he
comes out, he cleans house and helps the other guy,
holds his hand up and now they're a tag team.
That's what he was running on the field like. And
I had to get in its way and go, you
got stop, you can't. You gotta stop. You gotta stop stop, stop,
stop stop. And so I knew I had to I
had to step up, and I had to say some things,
uh that I knew was gonna like. The league wasn't

gonna like, and the officials weren't gonna like. But I'm like,
you just I can't believe he did that, but it
like do sometimes you have to understand that, Okay, I
I I know what I have to say. Don't worry
and trying to trying to keep people away from from
the official like it. If I let him go, he
will don't don't you yell at me, mister center ref.
If I let him go, he will kill you. He
is like five times your size. He will absolutely kill you.

He wants to murder you right now. And I don't
know that he doesn't have a case for it. But
you know what, we gotta we gotta leave all here
and getting our cars and drive away. So let's uh,
let's be okay with everything now. So yeah, so that's
that's kind of it's kind of what we were looking
at with the Lakers and the and the officials. But
it started early. And that's the thing, right that that
they play all the way through Reeves as a player

that's been you know, bandied about, and you know, we're
in the studio watching it without the benefit of sound,
but we're seeing it on social media where there's a
play that gets reviewed. And Reeves was mad from that
point because there was a question of whether he'd re
injured his arm and he was on the ground for
a bit, so he was the one leading the charge

doing most of the talking. You had Lebron what is
he five inches taller, just over the top, just kind
of doing the nod with every word that Reeves is speaking,
and you got the whole team surrounding and it it
just went out like both sides were terribly displeased over
the course of the night. I say that phrase just
to be kind about it, because most of what was

being said can't be repeated from any any coach or player.
I mean, there's this clip of Lebron undressing Alex Caruso
and it's every other word is an and it's and
like he's got to look like he's going to just
take a swing at him after there's one particular exchange.

So yeah, it was heated and rolled all the way
to the final buzzer. Now here's JJ Reddick from moments ago.
He's wondering, well, what's JJ Reddick going to say? How's
he going to respond? With the Lakers going home down
to up his entire team unhappy with the officiating. Here's
JJ Reddick on Lebron.

Lebron has the worst whistle of any star player I've
ever seen. I mean I've been with him two years now. Again,
the smaller guys, because they can be theatric they typically
draw more fouls and the bigger players that are you know,
built like Lebrony, it's hard for them. But he gets
clopped and he got clovered again to night a bunch,
And that's not like a new thing that's not specific

to this crew or you know, this series. He gets
fouled a lot. That doesn't happen to me. Guy gets
hit on the head more than an eight player I've
seen on drives, and it rarely gets called.

you would think he would get. That Michael Jordan got that,

downs AND i cited the Lebron caruso back and. Forth
but there was a lot of mean mugg and a
lot of the you, know gesturing and jockeying before the
ball's back and bounds that you normally don't see until
like the final minute of a. Game here we're midway
through a quarter and it's the elbows are, flying bodying

up whatever, like it got really contentious and, chesty AND
i don't think the officials did anything to quell. That
we had a number of reviews and a number of
guys getting fiery on the sidelines and demonstrative on the.
Court to their, CREDIT i, mean there were plenty of
show showing up officials on both sides that could have been.

Teed SO i guess you could have had the free
throw parade running in that, regard because all the stars
were out in terms of chasing down an official to
give them two cents over the course of the, game
and they looked the other. Way so good on them for,
That but it also didn't affect all. Right perhaps if

upset with the officiating, nobody you. Know and and here's

the thing about the, officiating and this is WHERE i

on the same page, with is that if you're gonna
call the game one, way just be consistent with, it.
Right we don't want to figure out how you're calling
the game because that's not. Fair. Right but and that's

they're reviewing all these. Calls why are they viewing this?
Call why is this? Happening like it's one thing to, say,

unhappy with the officiating at the especially in the fourth quarter,
the Thunder pulling away. Now Chet Holmgren getting superstar calls.
Chet's getting superstar calls. Chat's a star man. Not just
look at him, not SGA just jumping in and falling down.
Now s g A and chedd are doing interviews together.

It's like, alright, man, like he's character in Borot. We're
cold right now? Yeah he does. He's wearing like a
peach colored full outfit that looks to be like three
I mean something, No, but he looks like it's something
that's like three sizes too big for him. Yeah, yeah,
like I got okay, it's supposed to grow in. I
mean he's a slight man in twenties. You're still gonna

you're gonna fill outbill still working well. So Lakers very
upset with the officiating. Lebron demonstratively upset with the officials.
Austin reeves even more upset with the officials. Video after
the game, after the final buzzer of the Thunder victory,
they pull away by eighteen seven, and they're all standing

and yelling at the officials like this is like okay,
we're all gonna have a conversation, soccer game or softball game.
Don't worry. It's like we have to calm the parents.
I'll talk to him after the game. Door, I'll talk
to him after the game, don't we must another goal.
Talked to me after the game, Sean, Sean, you gotta
be Sean. I'll take care of it. Sean, I'll take
care of it. I'll take care of it. Which kid
is your niece? There was Oh my god, there was

one time. Just tell you this quick story really fast
for we got to JJ Reddick. So it was the
championship game. I think it was you twelve soccer and
the c R gave the other team two penalties, including
one in the final minute of the game, and my
parents wanted to kill this guy. Wanted to absolutely because

there was no fault. And even the ar on my
side said, oh, coach, I'm sorry, that's a horrible call,
and I go if you just want to go home,
tell me you want to go home. And it was
absolutely terrible. Everybody in the stands like, what are you doing?
What are you doing? So of course she scores, she
was the best player in the league. She scores. We
lose two to one, and after the game. We're getting everybody,
(03:26):
you know, getting our medals. They're getting their medals. And
the father of my goalie comes across the field, and
he's coming across the field like you know when when
someone's getting beaten up in a ring in wrestling, and
oh my goodness, look at that. And you know, the
two guys are beating up the one guy, and here
comes somebody running out of the locker room, and thus
(03:49):
a tag team, a rivalry is born, right, And he
comes out, he cleans house and helps the other guy,
holds his hand up and now they're a tag team.
That's what he was running on the field like. And
I had to get in its way and go, you
got stop, you can't. You gotta stop. You gotta stop stop, stop,
stop stop. And so I knew I had to I
had to step up, and I had to say some things,
uh that I knew was gonna like. The league wasn't

gonna like, and the officials weren't gonna like. But I'm like,
you just I can't believe he did that, but it
like do sometimes you have to understand that, Okay, I
I I know what I have to say. Don't worry
and trying to trying to keep people away from from
the official like it. If I let him go, he
will don't don't you yell at me, mister center ref.
If I let him go, he will kill you. He
is like five times your size. He will absolutely kill you.

He wants to murder you right now. And I don't
know that he doesn't have a case for it. But
you know what, we gotta we gotta leave all here
and getting our cars and drive away. So let's uh,
let's be okay with everything now. So yeah, so that's
that's kind of it's kind of what we were looking
at with the Lakers and the and the officials. But
it started early. And that's the thing, right that that
they play all the way through Reeves as a player
(04:53):
that's been you know, bandied about, and you know, we're
in the studio watching it without the benefit of sound,
but we're seeing it on social media where there's a
play that gets reviewed. And Reeves was mad from that
point because there was a question of whether he'd re
injured his arm and he was on the ground for
a bit, so he was the one leading the charge
(05:13):
doing most of the talking. You had Lebron what is
he five inches taller, just over the top, just kind
of doing the nod with every word that Reeves is speaking,
and you got the whole team surrounding and it it
just went out like both sides were terribly displeased over
the course of the night. I say that phrase just
to be kind about it, because most of what was
(05:35):
being said can't be repeated from any any coach or player.
I mean, there's this clip of Lebron undressing Alex Caruso
and it's every other word is an and it's and
like he's got to look like he's going to just
take a swing at him after there's one particular exchange.
(05:55):
So yeah, it was heated and rolled all the way
to the final buzzer. Now here's JJ Reddick from moments ago.
He's wondering, well, what's JJ Reddick going to say? How's
he going to respond? With the Lakers going home down
to up his entire team unhappy with the officiating. Here's
JJ Reddick on Lebron.

Lebron has the worst whistle of any star player I've
ever seen. I mean I've been with him two years now. Again,
the smaller guys, because they can be theatric they typically
draw more fouls and the bigger players that are you know,
built like Lebrony, it's hard for them. But he gets
clopped and he got clovered again to night a bunch,
And that's not like a new thing that's not specific
(06:34):
to this crew or you know, this series. He gets
fouled a lot. That doesn't happen to me. Guy gets
hit on the head more than an eight player I've
seen on drives, and it rarely gets called.

No lives detected there? Does he get fined less We're
saying it's not specific to this particular game. Yeah, it's kiny,
like getting a memorabilia card, not specific to an event, yeah,
or outcome or even this player's jersey. Not not one
specific game. But basically SGA's whole career is what I'm saying.
But I didn't say it, so you can't really find.

But now look, no lies detected there, because he is
right like this is where JJ Reddick, leaning on his
you know, hot takery that he did when he was
on television, going yeah, because for his whole career, it
really is amazing that lebron doesn't get the whistles that
you would think he would get. That Michael Jordan got that,
other stars got. Dwayne Wade even got better whistles that
than Lebron. How many frea throws do you think Lebron

shot today? Oh? Four, that's it? Yeah yeah, it four
for four. Yeah yeah. I've blobbered repeatedly going, you know,
after rebounds hit a number of times, but certainly going
for a putback or a drive in the lane. You
just saw it like it's it's a pretty big blow
to get. What is he six' nine two fifty, Ish,

yeah maybe maybe a little more than. THAT i mean
he's he's a big guy and he's getting flailing around
because he's getting. Hit so to agree With Ja, ja
he's and he's got to do this. RIGHT Jj reddick
has no. Tribe and in fact there he actually held.

where you take the fine and you say everything you

want to, hey because you're gonna get fined. Anyway this
is gonna be it's gonna be a question of whether
it's twenty five to one. Hundred you just take the

the crazy stuff he does And lebron can't get to.

he's got to understand how to manipulate the situation to
get the calls he wants In game, three In game,
four you, know we talked about it last. Night Rick
carlisle has always been a master at, that, Right he's
always been a master knowing when to push the refs
in a, series when to say, something when not to say,
something when to SAY i hope that the officials don't

want to continue to reward the big market teams over
the small market. Teams what Happened They pacers went home last,
year got all the, calls tied the series with The
knicks went on to win. It like this is WHERE
Jj reddick has To, okay you know, what there's no
more mister nice, guy because the end of our season is,
here right so now it's, okay whatever we need to.
Say they're on the court yelling this is where you do.
It going home for game, three and he's got no.

Choice i'm telling all the things he could. Say he
should say all of those. Things, yeah and all of
those things he should, say that's what it was. Tonight
you're getting fined, Anyway, right you're getting fined, Anyway go
and and and make make noise on. It so it
becomes something that can't be ignored in the next. Game,
right you can't just you can't just tiptoe around it and, say,

yeah i'd like to see. This there's times to do.
That i'm not saying there's not there's time to do.
That Like Chris finch, Saying, hey all those blocks For,
WENBY i don't know about. That that's not something you
say after your Up game. One you want to save
that for later in the, series coming off Of spurs
win where you can affect the officiating for the next.
Game you're coming off the, win you're, saying, oh they're
not calling the, blocks, dude you guys won the. Game, Yeah,

like you gotta hold that for when you need. It
but the problem is your team also needs to show
up in game two and not lose by. Forty, no
that that's part of, It so that would help it
that's where you you, know you need to save that
for when you can use it to your. Advenge this
is WHERE Jj reddick guns blazing everything you. Got you
you empty the verbal holster with what you want to
say about the officiating going Into game. Three, now you

didn't have a huge free throw, disparity you didn't have
a huge file, disparity but the eye test is certainly
there and the non, calls and that's really where a
lot of this comes down. To Is, OKAY i just
watched a guy get clubbed in the, head OR i
watched this exchange and there's no. Whistle so it's, like you,
know we joke about youth, sports but it's all the way.

Through it's like there's got to be some level of.
Consistency if down this, end these guys get to beat
the hell out of each other in the low, post,
fine the other, way it can't be a touch. Foul, yeah,
right and on and. On if if they're diving after
the loose ball and you're just gonna, decide, hey it's
it's a. Jump it doesn't suddenly become a foll going
the other. Way and there were a number of instances like,

that BECAUSE i give The lakers a lot of credit
for this. Game they battled their asses. Off we having enough,
manpower and you saw it in the bench scoring and
how different was the forty eight to twenty is your?
Differential there some hot shooting and a lot of folks
making fun Of philly right now Because jared McCain was
the big star off the bench for ok see, today

it's like he could have used, him probably could have
used him as another piece. There but that's. Okay but
all of that to say that watching this, game it
was an uncomfortable watch for a lot of it, because,
yeah you were waiting to see AND i know it's
THE nba, playoffs someone to take a, swing right because
it got heated and not necessarily had an official but

certainly at each. Other there were a number of stare
downs AND i cited the Lebron caruso back and. Forth
but there was a lot of mean mugg and a
lot of the you, know gesturing and jockeying before the
ball's back and bounds that you normally don't see until
like the final minute of a. Game here we're midway
through a quarter and it's the elbows are, flying bodying

up whatever, like it got really contentious and, chesty AND
i don't think the officials did anything to quell. That
we had a number of reviews and a number of
guys getting fiery on the sidelines and demonstrative on the.
Court to their, CREDIT i, mean there were plenty of
show showing up officials on both sides that could have been.

Teed SO i guess you could have had the free
throw parade running in that, regard because all the stars
were out in terms of chasing down an official to
give them two cents over the course of the, game
and they looked the other. Way so good on them for,
That but it also didn't affect all. Right perhaps if
we're getting bludgeoned on both, ends we're doing something. Wrong

thought that he should have drawn more. Fouls and generally,
speaking you know when you look at the course of his.
CAREER i do think that there's validity that because of you,
know he'll get superstar calls like a lot of other others.
Do but he follows some of the footsteps that Like

shaq would have where he could get away with. Fouls
but he also absorbed a lot of fouls but didn't
look like fouls because he's so big and, muscular et
cetera than smaller. Players BUT i think what it what
it is is that The lakers are trying to throw
some things on the wall to see if it. Sticks you,
KNOW Jj reddick was you, know unleashing his Inner Phil

jackson before the series, started saying that he thinks it's
one of the greatest accomplishments IN nba history that the
