Yeah, there was a big potato and uh, what happened
was they dropped it from the top of the Eiffel
Tower and it landed and it split in all of
these different you know, sniffets of snippets of it, right,
and it all bounced so far. It bounce into the
sin that was so dirty because it was at the
Olympics a couple of years ago. It was so dirty

and actually flash fry these bits of potatoes. So people
were picking them out of the scent and eating them
and they wow, these boy, these feels like they're really fried.
And they said, yes, we can only get these in France,
French fries.

was like. She kept saying that in French, and they
kept frying and said, do you know what that means?
It was the only French she knew.

like one of the early seas.

No, well, there was nine seasons, but this isn't stopped
in two thousand and.

Four, and it's one of the early I think it's
one of the early seasons.

So I'm like trying to it sounds familiar, but I'm
not there yet. And this is my favorite show, so
I think it's one of the early seasons, which are
the ones that are my least favorite.

I think the early seasons are the better seasons.

My best friend was a huge Friends fan.

She likes the first seasons and I like the later seasons.

Okay, yeah, And then you discuss this all the time.
Yeahs like season one is not to me. It's not
it's not what Friends is like. Season one is not
who they become or who they are. Yeah, you know
what I mean.

So yeah, but I think, yeah, like all of that
sounds familiar.

I'm gonna go I'm gonna look into it.

Right, yeah, all right, yeah, No, I mean as someone
as well getting to watch Friends the first time around,
like uh like, like we did, my wife and I together,
it was like it was one of our shows together.
We'd first started meeting ninety four ten seasons it was
on nine ten seasons, and then binging it again about
a year and a half ago with our daughter who
wanted to watch Friend's Like okay, great. There was so

many I feel like, Wow, I'm like a Friend's historian
because I could see all the differences in what I
thought about it when I was in my twenties seeing
the show for the first time and now seeing it
twenty years later. There's so many of the big differences
in the show. I like watching him going wow. The
best character in the show is Rachel because she's the
one that has the most, the greatest arc from the

beginning of the show to the end. Right all the
other characters, she has the greatest arc. They did the
most with her character.

I've been trying to tell you all these years.

No, she had the best character arc and the biggest

of friends. Okay, you know Joey was the dumb one
because I always have the dumb one on a show
and all of this, and then you go back and
you watch it, and seeing this with twenty years perspective,
I go, oh, now I know exactly why he was
the one that got the spinoff, because he's the best
actor on the show. He was absolutely the best out

of everybody. Not that there was beat, but he was.
And you see the stuff he was able to do
just subtly with one line, one word that was just brilliant,
and you know, you think, oh, he's the dumb guy,
you know, but then you see, oh, that's why he
got Joey, that's what that's why they spun off with
him and said, well, look, and they all wanted to
go do movies obviously, but when you see who are
you gonna bank on in a comedy and it's Joey, right,

like that's what it was. And you see stuff like
with Ross, like like all the girlfriends they gave.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Him, they all stunk right there all they like and
I don't know if.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
They didn't give them lines because you know, hey, the
six of them needed all the funny lines, like everything,
every single girlfriend they gave him. It's like, okay, yes
you wanted him to be with Rachel, but there was
never anybody where I thought, oh she's really good, Oh
she's really fun, or she's this. It's like like everyone
they get like nobody could really they didn't give him
anybody that could that that could swing with him right
that they could get on camera and swing with the

six of them, the five or six of them, like
Paul Rudd was the closest one. Christina Applegate when she
guessed it as Rachel's sister, was amazingly funny. But there
were so few people that could be on there that
that you kid, that could come in outside of those
six you said, hey, I want to see more of them.

I could have used another season or two of Charlie Tyler.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Sure she was fun and Gunther was fun in the
small moments that yeah, Tom Selleck was good for a
little bit, but in the end, it was like it's
really hard to even people are on It's like, okay,
like Bruce Willis was okay, well he lost.

He was great.

Bet to Matthew Perry on their movie The Whole nine Yards.
It has to come on this show, and I think
he acted that way. I want to be really angry
the entire time.

So when I was doing Fantasy Zone when it was
on the air, this is like almost ten years ago, right,
this is like twenty It was the last year of
Fantasy so like twenty sixteen, I want to say twenty seventeen.
And so the way the setup was Fantasy Zone on
Direct TV was I was kind of doing the the
Red Zone stuff where I was taking everybody from game

to game and I was like kind of the nerve center.
Then New York was Kay Adams and Guru and John
Ritchie and and everybody, and so we would ping pong
back and forth. So then the last season they added
Michael Rapaport to the show, and so he was with
me in LA.

So it was more of where.

I was the nerve center, and I threw either to
Rapaport or to New York and rap would do his
whole thing because he loved fantasy. So the best and
I was so proud of this line was was we
were getting I was getting ready to throw to Rapaport.
We were talking Rapaport and I and he goes, Jason,
I had so and so, and I forget what player was.
I had Chris Free and the Jets don't even give
him the football. And it's sitting here, I'm in the

middle of fourth quarter, one point four fantasy points. I'm
gonna I'm in an expert league. And he mentioned who
was playing against, like Mike the Miz or somebody else,
and I'm getting killed, Jason, what do you have to
say to that? And I just deadpen. I go, Rap,
I haven't seen you this upset since Phoebe. You refuse
to move in with you, and he just goes, and
you could hear the cameraman laughing, and the camera guy's laughing.

He just goes and you see the twitch in his
smile and he just goes. It's a bad memory, Jason.
I got nothing else to say because he couldn't talk,
because I knew I just got it so great with that.

of the game. Whoever you think was the face of
the game a month ago, it is Wemby. Wemby is

going to be him. Look Sga is a superstar, Jalen
Brunts and all these guys. You know, I love Wemby
is the face of the game. There's no fascination with Sga. No, right,
here's a sound. We're fascinated with how he hits the
ground so much. Well, the video of him taking the
free throw and then diving. The AI video with him
shooting the freezer with nobody around him and then just

falling down.

night that is making the rounds of a play during
the game where Ogn Andob is out at the three
point line guarding the ball and Wemby breaks free and
runs to essentially you think, set a pick or set

a screen, and he does this leaping kick with his
foot and he lands in front of Ogn.

Who no, but it's like he was a five year
old jumping into a giant puddle.

Yeah, I mean it was Italy.

It was really shocking to see and the caption of
it that's making its way around his boy, Wemby really
going after OG's ACL. Now do I think for a
second that Wemby is going after his ACL? If he
wanted to, he could have done that. The dangerous part
is that. Let's just say de Aaron Fox dribbles one way,

or Og sees Wemby coming and tries to move to
get away from the screen, and all of a sudden,
Wemby's kick and OG's knee is just absolutely torn to shreds. Right,
that's an incredibly dangerous play. The NBA's got a Wemby
problem because the guy's dirty. The guy plays dirty. I
understand he's in his early twenties and teams are gonna

try to be physical with him because you know, filling
out a seven to five frame is a little difficult.
They're gonna be physical with him. But this is not
a guy that gets a little too physical when he's
banging down on the post with Karl Anthony Towns or
Isaiah Hartenstein or whoever. This is a guy who you
have seen now over the course of the playoffs seeks
out dirty play, right, Like, forget about the forget about

that for a second. The video from from Game three
where he closes out on Josh Hart and kicks out
his foot for his landing spot, and Josh Hart is
a smart player who doesn't want to get hurt, so
he comes down away from it. But that's a flagrant foul.
Wemby is a dirty player. Whoever you wanted to cut
it up, he's a dirty player. The slamming of Alex
Caruso in the second round, and the NBA so far

has protected him. Guess what, they can't anymore. It's too public.
Wemby's style of play has too much of a spotlight
on it. You can't continue to ignore these plays that
he makes, and he is out of control. Now the NBA, well,
they have the guts because he does it once a game.
You know he's going to commit a flagrant foul in
Game five at some point, you know he's frustrated, he's
down three to one to the Knicks. Is the NBA
(22:28):
gonna have the guts and say that's a flagrant foul?
And guess what, that's another suspension because now he's one
flagrant away.
Speaker 5 (22:33):
But they have to.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
They have a Wemby problem because never in the history
of the NBA has the face of the league been
a dirty player, Right, Michael not a dirty player, Kobe
not a dirty player, Lebron not a dirty player. All
of them physical players, Yes, do they push contact, they
do different things, yes, but that's within the strategy of
the game. Wemby goes out of his way for dirty

plays and you can no longer protect of that because
everybody sees it. And and if I'm Wemby right now,
I feel like, well, I'm bulletproof for the rest of
the series. They're not gonna give me another flagrant and
kick me out. I'm Wemby. They're not gonna do that.
They're not gonna put their thumb on the scale that
much for They're not gonna do it right.

You see, They're protecting me everywhere I can go. So
I kind of feel like I have carp blanchevon Wemby.
The NBA they have to understand. They can't allow this
to have. Someone's gonna get hurt and and everybody else
sees it. They know, you know that Wemby is a
dirty player. I'm sorry, buddy is. There's no shortage of
evidence for this for Victor Webbin Yama. So it's so
(23:36):
the NBA has got a big problem where eventually, maybe
it's Game five, maybe it's after but they're gonna have
to step in and say, yeah, I guess what, you're
getting suspended. We're doing X, Y, and Z because you
can't do this. The face of the league can't be
this dirty player. What's funny is it goes to the
heart of I mean, we started talking about this about
a month ago. I think we asked Rick Buker about
it maybe three weeks ago about you know, is he

starting to get that right? Even after the huge nas
read I thought he should have been suspended another game,
like forget about it. Time served my ass like that
was egregious. In my ass, that was egregious to the
next level. But we've seen it time and again. But
it's like you coached your your daughter's soccer team and
and softball, Like, let's go to the soccer field. There

there's a lot of times where you know someone one
of your forwards, your striker, takes a couple of body
blows early on. Some of them are pretty hot headed
and eventually try to get the revenge. Some of them
do it immediately, others it's a jest dating. I'll get
my moment. One he's a guy that it seemed like

poke poke, poke, doesn't do it immediately, but then eventually
finds that spot where he has that that break. I'm
surprised he didn't turn and deck Alvarado after that nonsense
that he pulled in the low post Fall one, Fall two,
file three, but foul four, yeah, foul five, foulsick they
finally the sixth time.

Okay, we're gonna call it now. But I mean he's
diving into his knee and really getting after it. And
we've had a bunch of other plays that you can
spotlight where you've had nicked players. Go back to the
Thunder series, and we can go back all the way
into the regular season where guys take their liberties saying
all right, I can push him around and I want
to see when he'll break.

It's the Uh, you know, how much can I You'll
get a thousand dollars if you can sit here and
I can't make you laugh?

How many of those game shows have we had in
the history of time? A Right, I can make me.

Laugh, you know?

And you try, and the person sits there and attempts
to be stone faced the whole time. Uh, And you
try to do all sorts of things. That's kind of
what the strategy with Wemby has been. And then when
he decides to have his revenge, it's really been poorly chosen,
poorly designed, like the fall against Mitchell Robinson on the
grand scale, that was a nothing burger compared to the

rest of the montage.

Yeah, I mean, look, it's a it's a case of
there's not only is there no shortage of evidence, it's
it's not even within the flow of the game. If
it was within the flow of the game, I get it, right.
If you show me him and Cat banging down low
and there's elbows and there's stuff, Okay, that's life in
the NBA is a man's game. That's life in the NBA. Man,

I get it. But these plays we're all talking about
is him shoving Jalen Bruns into the ground, him running
out and kicking out at a player, him running into
and running over Alex Caruso because I don't like the
fact that you're guarding me as close as you are. Like,
these are all things, and it's one and it's at
least one time a game. Wenby does this, and eventually
the NBA is Okay. I get that it's difficult for

them because they've never dealt with this before, but you
have to do something, man. You can't just keep saying yeah, no, no, no,
uh no, flagrant, no, flagrant and when Jalen Brunson just
goes up to block a shot comes down. Oh well,
hang on, we watched we watched Aaron Fox kick into
his area. That's gonna be a fla on Jalen Brunson. Yet,
what about this wemby play? Oh no, no, that doesn't
rise to it. You can't get away with with with

ignoring that anymore. No, there's too much preponderance of evidence.
And then as cool and calm and collected as he's
been in postgame interviews, I mean, that's not him on the.

Court, and you want the fire in the belly. You'd
also like to see someone on that roster become the
protector enforcer as well. You just go play basketball, let
someone else take the heat and do the punishment, as
it were. But you know, I just think back to
you and I growing up watching basketball. Obviously, the game evolves,

maybe we're smarter about how we're looking at guys and
injuries or whatever you want to call it a brand
of basketball. But what's upon a time the hey, my
elbows are up to clear my space after a rebound
was not considered.

A hostile act.

Yeah, no, that's true, and I don't mean that just
for Wemby. I'm just talking NBA at all anymore. It's like,
all right, there was a little bit of contact there. Yeah,
you used to be able to get your space right,
like the landing space. When now we're looking at shooters
but rebounders getting their ass kicked as they trying to
corral the ball. Now it's like, nope, hostile act. The
almost came up. It's like, oh, that's generally the case.

I'm trying to corral, like get this guy off so
I can start a break. But you know, trying to
adjudicate that is a whole other mess.

and it all bounced so far. It bounce into the
sin that was so dirty because it was at the
Olympics a couple of years ago. It was so dirty

and actually flash fry these bits of potatoes. So people
were picking them out of the scent and eating them
and they wow, these boy, these feels like they're really fried.
And they said, yes, we can only get these in France,
French fries.

No, well, there was nine seasons, but this isn't stopped

one of the early seasons.

not there yet. And this is my favorite show, so
I think it's one of the early seasons, which are
the ones that are my least favorite.

I think the early seasons are the better seasons.

My best friend was a huge Friends fan.

Yeahs like season one is not to me. It's not
it's not what Friends is like. Season one is not
who they become or who they are. Yeah, you know

So yeah, but I think, yeah, like all of that

Right, yeah, all right, yeah, No, I mean as someone
as well getting to watch Friends the first time around,
like uh like, like we did, my wife and I together,
it was like it was one of our shows together.
We'd first started meeting ninety four ten seasons it was
on nine ten seasons, and then binging it again about
a year and a half ago with our daughter who
wanted to watch Friend's Like okay, great. There was so

many I feel like, Wow, I'm like a Friend's historian
because I could see all the differences in what I
thought about it when I was in my twenties seeing
the show for the first time and now seeing it
twenty years later. There's so many of the big differences
in the show. I like watching him going wow. The
best character in the show is Rachel because she's the
one that has the most, the greatest arc from the

beginning of the show to the end. Right all the
other characters, she has the greatest arc. They did the
most with her character.

Celebrating the artistry and brilliance of Jennifer Aniston. No, she
I've been trying to tell you all these years.

No, she had the best character arc and the biggest
The biggest thing is that you go back and think
of friends. Okay, you know Joey was the dumb one
because I always have the dumb one on a show
and all of this, and then you go back and
you watch it, and seeing this with twenty years perspective,
I go, oh, now I know exactly why he was
the one that got the spinoff, because he's the best
actor on the show. He was absolutely the best out

of everybody. Not that there was beat, but he was.
And you see the stuff he was able to do
just subtly with one line, one word that was just brilliant,
and you know, you think, oh, he's the dumb guy,
you know, but then you see, oh, that's why he
got Joey, that's what that's why they spun off with
him and said, well, look, and they all wanted to
go do movies obviously, but when you see who are
you gonna bank on in a comedy and it's Joey, right,

like that's what it was. And you see stuff like
with Ross, like like all the girlfriends they gave.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Him, they all stunk right there all they like and
I don't know if.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
They didn't give them lines because you know, hey, the
six of them needed all the funny lines, like everything,
every single girlfriend they gave him. It's like, okay, yes
you wanted him to be with Rachel, but there was
never anybody where I thought, oh she's really good, Oh
she's really fun, or she's this. It's like like everyone
they get like nobody could really they didn't give him
anybody that could that that could swing with him right
that they could get on camera and swing with the

six of them, the five or six of them, like
Paul Rudd was the closest one. Christina Applegate when she
guessed it as Rachel's sister, was amazingly funny. But there
were so few people that could be on there that
that you kid, that could come in outside of those
six you said, hey, I want to see more of them.

I could have used another season or two of Charlie Tyler.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Sure she was fun and Gunther was fun in the
small moments that yeah, Tom Selleck was good for a
little bit, but in the end, it was like it's
really hard to even people are on It's like, okay,
like Bruce Willis was okay, well he lost.

He was great.

Bet to Matthew Perry on their movie The Whole nine Yards.
It has to come on this show, and I think
he acted that way. I want to be really angry

So when I was doing Fantasy Zone when it was
on the air, this is like almost ten years ago, right,
this is like twenty It was the last year of
Fantasy so like twenty sixteen, I want to say twenty seventeen.
And so the way the setup was Fantasy Zone on
Direct TV was I was kind of doing the the
Red Zone stuff where I was taking everybody from game

to game and I was like kind of the nerve center.
Then New York was Kay Adams and Guru and John
Ritchie and and everybody, and so we would ping pong
back and forth. So then the last season they added
Michael Rapaport to the show, and so he was with
me in LA.

So it was more of where.

I was the nerve center, and I threw either to
Rapaport or to New York and rap would do his
whole thing because he loved fantasy. So the best and
I was so proud of this line was was we
were getting I was getting ready to throw to Rapaport.
We were talking Rapaport and I and he goes, Jason,
I had so and so, and I forget what player was.
I had Chris Free and the Jets don't even give
him the football. And it's sitting here, I'm in the

middle of fourth quarter, one point four fantasy points. I'm
gonna I'm in an expert league. And he mentioned who
was playing against, like Mike the Miz or somebody else,
and I'm getting killed, Jason, what do you have to
say to that? And I just deadpen. I go, Rap,
I haven't seen you this upset since Phoebe. You refuse
to move in with you, and he just goes, and
you could hear the cameraman laughing, and the camera guy's laughing.

He just goes and you see the twitch in his
smile and he just goes. It's a bad memory, Jason.
I got nothing else to say because he couldn't talk,
because I knew I just got it so great with that.

A couple of days ago, it was the shoved down
of Jalen Brunson, which the NBA decides, no, no, We're
going to keep protecting Wemby. Okay, I get it. You
want to protect a guy who has become the face
of the game. Whoever you think was the face of
the game a month ago, it is Wemby. Wemby is

the face of the game. We told you it was
going to be him. Look Sga is a superstar, Jalen
Brunts and all these guys. You know, I love Wemby
is the face of the game. There's no fascination with Sga. No, right,
here's a sound. We're fascinated with how he hits the
ground so much. Well, the video of him taking the
free throw and then diving. The AI video with him
shooting the freezer with nobody around him and then just

falling down.

protect Wemby. Now we get the video today from last
night that is making the rounds of a play during
the game where Ogn Andob is out at the three
point line guarding the ball and Wemby breaks free and
runs to essentially you think, set a pick or set

a screen, and he does this leaping kick with his
foot and he lands in front of Ogn.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
Who no, but it's like he was a five year
old jumping into a giant puddle.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Yeah, I mean it was Italy.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
It was really shocking to see and the caption of
it that's making its way around his boy, Wemby really
going after OG's ACL. Now do I think for a
second that Wemby is going after his ACL? If he
wanted to, he could have done that. The dangerous part
is that. Let's just say de Aaron Fox dribbles one way,

or Og sees Wemby coming and tries to move to
get away from the screen, and all of a sudden,
Wemby's kick and OG's knee is just absolutely torn to shreds. Right,
that's an incredibly dangerous play. The NBA's got a Wemby
problem because the guy's dirty. The guy plays dirty. I
understand he's in his early twenties and teams are gonna
(21:22):
try to be physical with him because you know, filling
out a seven to five frame is a little difficult.
They're gonna be physical with him. But this is not
a guy that gets a little too physical when he's
banging down on the post with Karl Anthony Towns or
Isaiah Hartenstein or whoever. This is a guy who you
have seen now over the course of the playoffs seeks
out dirty play, right, Like, forget about the forget about
(21:46):
that for a second. The video from from Game three
where he closes out on Josh Hart and kicks out
his foot for his landing spot, and Josh Hart is
a smart player who doesn't want to get hurt, so
he comes down away from it. But that's a flagrant foul.
Wemby is a dirty player. Whoever you wanted to cut
it up, he's a dirty player. The slamming of Alex
Caruso in the second round, and the NBA so far
(22:07):
has protected him. Guess what, they can't anymore. It's too public.
Wemby's style of play has too much of a spotlight
on it. You can't continue to ignore these plays that
he makes, and he is out of control. Now the NBA, well,
they have the guts because he does it once a game.
You know he's going to commit a flagrant foul in
Game five at some point, you know he's frustrated, he's
down three to one to the Knicks. Is the NBA
(22:28):
gonna have the guts and say that's a flagrant foul?
And guess what, that's another suspension because now he's one
flagrant away.
Speaker 5 (22:33):
But they have to.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
They have a Wemby problem because never in the history
of the NBA has the face of the league been
a dirty player, Right, Michael not a dirty player, Kobe
not a dirty player, Lebron not a dirty player. All
of them physical players, Yes, do they push contact, they
do different things, yes, but that's within the strategy of
the game. Wemby goes out of his way for dirty
(22:57):
plays and you can no longer protect of that because
everybody sees it. And and if I'm Wemby right now,
I feel like, well, I'm bulletproof for the rest of
the series. They're not gonna give me another flagrant and
kick me out. I'm Wemby. They're not gonna do that.
They're not gonna put their thumb on the scale that
much for They're not gonna do it right.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
They're not.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
You see, They're protecting me everywhere I can go. So
I kind of feel like I have carp blanchevon Wemby.
The NBA they have to understand. They can't allow this
to have. Someone's gonna get hurt and and everybody else
sees it. They know, you know that Wemby is a
dirty player. I'm sorry, buddy is. There's no shortage of
evidence for this for Victor Webbin Yama. So it's so
(23:36):
the NBA has got a big problem where eventually, maybe
it's Game five, maybe it's after but they're gonna have
to step in and say, yeah, I guess what, you're
getting suspended. We're doing X, Y, and Z because you
can't do this. The face of the league can't be
this dirty player. What's funny is it goes to the
heart of I mean, we started talking about this about
a month ago. I think we asked Rick Buker about
it maybe three weeks ago about you know, is he
(23:59):
starting to get that right? Even after the huge nas
read I thought he should have been suspended another game,
like forget about it. Time served my ass like that
was egregious. In my ass, that was egregious to the
next level. But we've seen it time and again. But
it's like you coached your your daughter's soccer team and
and softball, Like, let's go to the soccer field. There
(24:22):
there's a lot of times where you know someone one
of your forwards, your striker, takes a couple of body
blows early on. Some of them are pretty hot headed
and eventually try to get the revenge. Some of them
do it immediately, others it's a jest dating. I'll get
my moment. One he's a guy that it seemed like
(24:43):
poke poke, poke, doesn't do it immediately, but then eventually
finds that spot where he has that that break. I'm
surprised he didn't turn and deck Alvarado after that nonsense
that he pulled in the low post Fall one, Fall two,
file three, but foul four, yeah, foul five, foulsick they
finally the sixth time.

Okay, we're gonna call it now. But I mean he's
diving into his knee and really getting after it. And
we've had a bunch of other plays that you can
spotlight where you've had nicked players. Go back to the
Thunder series, and we can go back all the way
into the regular season where guys take their liberties saying
all right, I can push him around and I want
to see when he'll break.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Right.

It's the Uh, you know, how much can I You'll
get a thousand dollars if you can sit here and
I can't make you laugh?

How many of those game shows have we had in
the history of time? A Right, I can make me.

Laugh, you know?

And you try, and the person sits there and attempts
to be stone faced the whole time. Uh, And you
try to do all sorts of things. That's kind of
what the strategy with Wemby has been. And then when
he decides to have his revenge, it's really been poorly chosen,
poorly designed, like the fall against Mitchell Robinson on the
grand scale, that was a nothing burger compared to the

rest of the montage.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Yeah, I mean, look, it's a it's a case of
there's not only is there no shortage of evidence, it's
it's not even within the flow of the game. If
it was within the flow of the game, I get it, right.
If you show me him and Cat banging down low
and there's elbows and there's stuff, Okay, that's life in
the NBA is a man's game. That's life in the NBA. Man,
(26:21):
I get it. But these plays we're all talking about
is him shoving Jalen Bruns into the ground, him running
out and kicking out at a player, him running into
and running over Alex Caruso because I don't like the
fact that you're guarding me as close as you are. Like,
these are all things, and it's one and it's at
least one time a game. Wenby does this, and eventually
the NBA is Okay. I get that it's difficult for
(26:44):
them because they've never dealt with this before, but you
have to do something, man. You can't just keep saying yeah, no, no, no,
uh no, flagrant, no, flagrant and when Jalen Brunson just
goes up to block a shot comes down. Oh well,
hang on, we watched we watched Aaron Fox kick into
his area. That's gonna be a fla on Jalen Brunson. Yet,
what about this wemby play? Oh no, no, that doesn't
rise to it. You can't get away with with with
(27:05):
ignoring that anymore. No, there's too much preponderance of evidence.
And then as cool and calm and collected as he's
been in postgame interviews, I mean, that's not him on the.
Speaker 6 (27:16):
Court, and you want the fire in the belly. You'd
also like to see someone on that roster become the
protector enforcer as well. You just go play basketball, let
someone else take the heat and do the punishment, as
it were. But you know, I just think back to
you and I growing up watching basketball. Obviously, the game evolves,

maybe we're smarter about how we're looking at guys and
injuries or whatever you want to call it a brand
of basketball. But what's upon a time the hey, my
elbows are up to clear my space after a rebound
was not considered.

A hostile act.

Yeah, no, that's true, and I don't mean that just
for Wemby. I'm just talking NBA at all anymore. It's like,
all right, there was a little bit of contact there. Yeah,
you used to be able to get your space right,
like the landing space. When now we're looking at shooters
but rebounders getting their ass kicked as they trying to
corral the ball. Now it's like, nope, hostile act. The
almost came up. It's like, oh, that's generally the case.

I'm trying to corral, like get this guy off so
I can start a break. But you know, trying to
adjudicate that is a whole other mess.
